okay so it’s basically a serial killer x stalker au, major emphasis on them both sucking! its basically the meme about a divorce court judge denying their divorce because they’re so horrible it would be a human rights violation to subject anyone else to their behaviors. one of them (let’s say A) sees the other on the train and immediately falls in love with him and is convinced they’re soulmates, stalks him relentlessly to find out where he likes to go, and gets a job as a barista at his favorite coffeeshop just to have an excuse to interact with him. the other guy (B) is kind of a dexter type serial killer (not as put together, doesn't have a moral code so to speak other than his victims aren't like, innocents/children) and eventually A witnesses one of B’s murders while stalking him and B almost kills him before he realizes that A is like. super into it, maybe too into it. definitely very much too into it. and he’s very flattered to be stalked by him too, because he’s equally as batshit crazy! they fall in love (in an insane way), move in together after like two weeks, and for a while they tag-team stalking and murdering victims and have a lot of slutty sex about it. they end up eventually going down in flames in a murder suicide situation after B flies too close to the sun in his enthusiasm to kill because it makes A go insane in a horny way. the end!

Ok listen I LOVE this. but. not to be pedantic. this is no longer a coffee shop AU. I think the moment you introduce serial killers it stops being a coffee shop AU and it starts being a serial killer AU with some coffee flavour.

the reason EYE don't vibe with coffee shop AUs (and many people do! more power to them!) is bc they're inherently. like. cosy. and it's not a dynamic I'm into for the kind of ships and characters I gravitate to, who are usually from a scifi/fantasy canon OR have some kind of crazy dynamic that can't be easily translated to "barista/customer". I feel like there's a certain Vibe that people associate with the words coffee shop AU, and if a fic it's about crazed stalkers then it's a whole different premise... but one I'd love to bits ngl

hello hello! no worries, i didn't perceive any judgment here, this is all in good fun! my gerry is on the nonbinary side of transfem anyway (which to me is an important thing to portray in general) but it is special to me both for logical reasons and just because it just feels so healing to me. i wrote a big meta about it here a really long time ago, and answered a more recent ask here, so i'll mostly just link those to avoid being too repetitive.

however, to me (just me personally!) the logic comes in as like... mary calls him gerard. she doesn't exactly strike me as a supportive ally parent who would gender her trans son correctly. eric also refers to gerry as his son, and he died when gerry was like 2, which is a little early for a kid to know they're trans. thirdly, he has a canon preference for a nickname that Isn't the name his mother calls him, which to me can signify dysphoria, and that chosen name happens to be a little more androgynous! plenty of women use the same nickname.

i don't believe canon gerry would have really had much of a chance to explore this side of him, as i also just believe he's a late bloomer, so to me it usually comes out easier in AUs where he's able to live for once. live free of his oppressive mother and her expectations of A Son And Heir, live free of the violence of his childhood and the things she made him do, live as a softer person. i think he would benefit from letting himself be softer, i think he would feel healthier and stronger and more himself if he gained some distance from The Son And Heir archetype forced on him from Pretty Much Birth. there are things to be said about what's expected of "sons" and how awfully people are often treated to try and mold them into the right kind of son, and that's something that gerry's story strikes close to for me.

all of that, and i also just find tenderness in this HC that fills my heart with love! i have gotten to write some really beautiful moments of exploration and intimacy and solidarity through this portrayal of him and it's just been so warm. so many people, especially on this site and especially fucking lately, have been expressing ideas that suggesting that someone might be transfem is inappropriate compared to suggesting that someone might be transmasc, that being transfem is a bad thing or a curse or an insult, and ngl it's all such bullshit.

we need kinder and more loving portrayals of transfeminine people of all walks just in general. and sometimes you just get the egg vibes off of somebody and it's okay. so, yes! i simply think estrogen could have saved her.

Prince Nico - because you asked for it

Someone made the effort of diving in my dms for this so akdhwkhsak of course I’m gonna grant it. Since it isn’t specified whether it should be an AU or not so I’m just gonna… go with both. I guess.

Prince Nico in canon universe. This is canon. Believe me. Hades told me himself. Nico is a prince. (And also a King, but that’s another story)

Tbh I have talked too much about this lolol it’s like a religion at this point.

- Nico who has his private chamber with a five-star service, canopy-bed-and-red-carpet, the full package, all of that.

- Nico who’s favored enough to say something like “It’s okay, Dad wouldn’t do anything when it’s me”

- Nico who has full rights to sit along the Judges in the Judgment Pavilion and takes petty joy in sabotaging Minos.

- Who definitely has free-pass on Charon’s boat trips.

- He calls Nico “young Lord” because I say so.

- Nico who, unsurprisingly enough, has a fairly amicable relationship with the Furies and can give commands to his father’s closest subordinates.

- And by extension, shares his father’s punishment of listening to the ghosts’ complaining (he’s much more mild-tempered compared to Hades btw and that just encourages the ghosts further)

- Nico who has to indulge Persephone’s weekend tea parties bc that’s what royalties do also she’s bored down here

- Who falls asleep in the throne room and Hades doesn’t say anything, Persephone doesn’t say anything and so neither does anyone else. Nico can navigate his father’s palace as he wishes.

- This is just my self-indulgence but Alecto calls Nico “little one” and Thanatos goes with “little prince”. 🥺 I’m obsessed with little prince, alright?

In a royal AU. Let’s just say this is a general, typical Royal AUs as I have too many Royal AU at this point which I don’t even know what they are LMAO. Just bear with me on this ride, would you?

So, the main reasons I’m very much invested in Royal AU/ Prince Nico are that 1/ the vibes 2/ the political power.

- Every time I think of Prince Nico, it’s with the ceremonial slim-fit suits, heavy black cloak, silver fur lining, jewelry adornment, spiky crown (which levitates instead of simply resting on his head and thus looks more like a halo) and ofc, a sword on his belt.

- I could die to see him in a crown and an one-shoulder cape, drowning in fur and jewelries, srsly.

- There’re small gems in his hair. It always gleams no matter the angle. shadowed eyes with bags that make him look low-key stressed out half of the time.

- Still, perfect etiquette. Stands like a prince and walks like a prince. Perfect posture when needed (and practically lazily slouching when is relaxed/tired btw)

Now, onto my favorite part: the powers Nico could have possessed if he was to be a prince. Tbh I’m less interested with the princess-prince love story and more passionate about the political field.

- I have always pictured him as the responsible type, ngl. In a Royal AU where they’re put in position of power and duties alike, I think Nico would be the type to be fairly dedicated to his people, in the way that he believes it’s his obligation. He values the people’s trust and servitude.

- It’s become more intense when he was chosen as the heir to the throne since Zagreus, the eldest prince, left the palace for the wild (to which Bianca followed). Now, with the newly found authority, he wishes to to make everyone’s lives better.

- Works as a courtier and a member of the royal family at the same time, the first to sway Hades’ judgments. Some fears his over-powered influence, but Hades never says anything and neither does Nico.

- Always acts with his kingdom and people as the top priority. Refuses to tolerate anything that show signs of threatening the great’s benefits even when it means damaging his personal interests. Romance means little to him. And it isn’t like he’s interested in ladies and princesses alike, anw.

- Also immensely respectful and loving towards his kingdom, which means Nico would never let someone makes fun of it in front of him and live.

- Perfectly calm, collected and closed-off in public/ business. He’s good at hiding his expressions, most of the time he wears a neutral face with a slight frown.

- But would be quite extreme if need be. Kind but straight-up merciless when it comes to the wrongdoings. I’m talking the cruel, unrelenting level. And Nico’s wrath is something straight-up rivals his father.

- Distant and uptight when you’re not close enough. He keeps everyone at arm’s length even when he cares a lot for their wellbeing. If you’re business based acquainted, chances are he’s always on guard around you. Nico treats the servants decently, but he isn’t close with anyone.

- If you’re Hazel or Bianca tho, he’s a softie.

- Mingle with the peasants quite often, though anonymous and Nico prefers to keep it to himself and mostly observe instead of directly interacting.

- Understands the civilian life since that’s where he comes from. He and his sister used to live with their mother before being taken to the palace and raised as royalties.

- The coronation. God the coronation. ψ(｀∇´)ψ I like to think that Hades makes it ridiculously big for Nico just because he wants to brag. And when he places the crown on Nico’s head, the moon bursts into silver and the dais made of gemstones shines brighter than gold. He ascends the throne while reveling in the night’s blessings and bathing in people’s praises and wishes.

If anything, Nico’s probably the first to ascend amongst the other royal heirs such as Percy or Jason. I suppose it’s due to Hades being the better parent in the three, and the fact that Nico is, by all means, an authentic, canonically King.

And that is why Nico the royalty is my religion.

Obanai had been dragged out to a late night ramen party with his co-workers (friends). as he was vibing with some of our favorite drunk idiots (Rengoku, Sanemi, Uzui, Shinobu, Mitsuri) he noticed you in the corner struggling to enjoy your meal. He didn’t know why but he suddenly felt embarrassed, ushering the group to quiet down. Rengoku and Uzui caught on pretty fast to what was going on considering.. you were the only other person there. And INSTANTLY started teasing him, claiming he was attracted to some random girl in a ramen shop (you). You overheard this and rushed to pay your tab so you could leave before any confrontation happened with the odd group. Sadly though, you didn’t quite make it in time. Painstakingly watching as Rengoku and Uzui manhandled the poor guy over to you. He instantly apologized claiming he was not attracted to you and you awkwardly laughed it off. You did happen to notice his tattoo of a snake wrapped around his forearm though which caught your attention. Eventually you two took the conversation outside and by the end of the night, exchanged numbers.

For Curtis-Ravenclaw, somehow I feel he actually lotta older than them, so I placed him as the assistant professor of DADA (as the one that holding the syllabus lectures, so the things that will taught kinda structured) - dw he'll never get the curse/jinx of 'No DADA teacher can lasts more than a year' because he's not teaches it. Asa could becomes the healer's assistant for madam Pomfrey - but I am not sure as student (so being 7th year) or already graduating. Miss Agatha feels to have similar vibes with Prof. McGonagall, while Molly is to madam Hooch with her agility - but I just don't know if they're in the time of Hogwarts studies (September - June) or not.

The parents which have history in the following houses: Leland Slyterin, Izzy Ravenclaw, Jack Gryffindor and Lilyth Hufflepuff) - and we have more characters in the AU!!

Gun was more than happy to return home to you with the good news that he had no work for tomorrow. And once he told you, he was pleased to see your shared excitement.

"We should plan a date for tomorrow," he suggested, "What would you like to do?"

He listened intently as you described the activities you had in mind. Whether they were staying at home all day or venturing off into the city, he didn't care as long as it was quality time spent with you. He couldn't wait to devote himself fully to you tomorrow, but for now he had other ideas.

Before he could say anything, you lead him right to it by asking, "What about you? Anything you want to do tomorrow?"

"No, your plans sound just fine. But, I was thinking that for tonight we do what I had planned ever since I got the news that I'm having tomorrow off."

"And that would be...?"

Gun held up a keyring with his car keys, dangling them. "A late night drive around sound good to you?"

"Why not?" His smile reflected yours as he began to lead you out of the house.

Dirving around Seoul and seeing all the night lights was beautiful. The hushed bustling compared to the loudness during the day was also refreshing. Not to mention, the general dark blanket that came with nighttime--it was all relaxing to Gun, and even more so with you by his side.

Not much talking happened throughout the ride, but it wasn't awkward at all. Just a peaceful silence as you both enjoyed the cool air that breezed through the open windows of the car. Of course, the occasional conversations did take place but they were more like lighthearted smalltalk if anything.

While driving, Gun didn't have a fixed destination in mind, but when his random turns lead you both to a quieter part of Seoul, he slowed down and looked for a place to park. It ended up being the parking lot of some abandoned store, or at least it looked like it.

"Late night drive over?" You turned to him as he finished up parking.

He nodded. "Let's stargaze."

"On what grass? I'm not laying on the asphalt floor," you semi-joked, looking around at the street.

Gun just rolled his eyes in amusement. "Who said we're even leaving the car?" He got up with a bent back as to not bump his head on the car's roof before stepping over the car's controls. He then sat down on the second row seats and reached an arm up, grabbing a handle on the roof and pulling it back to reveal a glass roof.

Your jaw dropped momentarily.

"Come on." He waved you over and watched as you moved from your seat to join him in the second row. Once you did, he adjusted the seats so they laid parallel to the floor and you both flopped down at the same time. The two of you glanced at each other for a moment before softly laughing together.

After that came more peaceful silence as you both stared up at the stars. At some point, Gun moved his attention from the sky to you, and he was reminded of another reason why he preferred nighttime over daytime--it was the way moonlight shined on you, the way it added a special charm that highlighted your features.

"I want to show them my appreciation," he thought, hands suddenly aching to touch you. If he wasn't showing you love through gifts, it was definitely through his touch. He figured he might as well express the latter since there were no gifts around to give. Plus he was going to be free tomorrow anyway, why not stay up a little later with his lover?

Gun turned to lay on his side and put an arm over your abdomen, hand resting on your hip. "Hey."

"Mm?" You didn't turn to look at him, too busy admiring the stars. Not for long though, because the words he whispered in your ear made you jerk your head his direction and made your cheeks hotter than the sun. "Gun, we're in public," you practically hissed.

"This is a pretty secluded area. And I don't see anyone around. Do you?" He smirked when you couldn't reply. It only widened when you didn't stop him from sliding his hand up your shirt. "I need your vocal consent before I continue, dear."

Your breath hitched, and slowly you murmured, "By all means, Gun."

• NGL, as a traumatized person I'm not a fan of problematic ships. They just make me sad and uneasy, sometimes it can be triggering. If you call stuff like selfcest (which isn't an existing thing IRL) and age gaps between consenting adults "problematic", you don't know what "problematic" means BTW.

You personally disliking a ship ≠ Problematic. Please don't spread harmful misinfo.

Also please don't harass people over ships.

• In RP. actually don't care about chem, if it works it works. I can ship something fast if it goes really smooth. However, I'm pretty selective & I have a MxM pref. I also like some FxF, I'm most picky with het ships. It doesn't mean I don't do them but… preferences… lol

• I prefer ships that have a more interesting dynamic. Like, small conflicts or the characters have some contrast or are similar and have goals. I dislike both overly ideal ships or overly toxic ships.

Though I admit that some ships I like make no sense and are just complete AU's lol.

• Ship "collectors" make me uncomfortable. I block OC accounts that give off those vibes. It's nothing personal; I'm simply not comfortable with it.

• That being said, I make exceptions of writers that are able to offer double ups bc I think it's only fair if you can offer OC x Canon in return.

• Probably a hot take but I'm just not keen with people who try to "un-gay" obviously queer-coded characters.

• I definitely have some favorite DB ships I have total brainrot for! 🥰

• I'm only multiship bc it's too hard to singleship. Most writers turn inactive after a while. 😔

I'd be totally up for singleshipping or something semi/limited. I like the idea of having more meaningful/dedicated ships!

So basically a dragon au lolol (I also have Haikyuu and Dr. Stone and maybe even Jujutsu Kaisen versions in the works because WoF is my CHILDHOOD dude)

(All of which will not exactly fit into canon WoF lore but it will be,,,, adjacent to it. Cannot guarantee that this will be spoiler free. Also will not be BNHA spoiler free. There will be spoilers.)

Starting with Edgejeanist (obviously)

Tsunagu - SilkWing: I feel like this was an obvious choice. They're the only tribe that can produce literally silk from their wrists, which is pretty dang close to fiberkinesis so I meannn :))

Shin'ya - RainWing: Ngl I was debating super hard on whether to make him a RainWing or HiveWing bc I absolutely ADORE the forbidden Silk/Hive romance dynamic, and I also briefly considered making him a NightWing because dark and mysterious. In the end, I had to go with Rain though because they're stealthy and deadly and I think that suits Shin'ya more. Also they're my favorite tribe.

((( I'm aware that those two tribes exist on totally different continents, but I got this funky idea for a stealth mission, where a certain little RainWing disguises himself as a HiveWing, and on his mission he runs into a SilkWing starting a rebellion :)

Rei - IceWing: Makes sense, right?

How I see it is that something went down and now Rei, Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Shoto live in Possibility while Enji stays in the Sky Kingdom. I have some cool design ideas in mind for those guys.

Hawks - SkyWing: He doesn't have the typical SkyWing personality, but I think the fact that they're the best flyers makes up for that. It also gives a good reason for him to be working with Enji so frequently :)

Kuugo - SeaWing: This one's a no-brainer too lol. Dude is literally an orca, might as well make him a sea dragon (I ALSO have a cool design idea for him)

Kamui - LeafWing: Easy. I think it would fit him if he had the leafspeak ability, too!

Takeyama - RainWing: I struggled with her. I didn't want to make her a SkyWing (even though they live in the mountains) because she certainly does not fit the Vibe™ but I ended up going with RainWing because their camouflage is the closest you can get to transformation in this world I think? Without using animus magic ig. The personality kind of fits, too.

Rumi - Ice/NightWing: I couldn't think of anything else that fit?? her??? Ice fits her color palette and Night for her luna theme ig!! Also white rabbits that live in the tundra :))

Midnight - NightWing: Her name is a giveaway for this one lol

Snipe - SandWing: Desert. Cowboy. yes.

Thirteen - SeaWing: My brain made a connection between astronauts and the ocean. It makes sense in my head I swear.

Cementoss - MudWing: Concrete. Earthy :)

Fatgum - MudWing: Family type? I think?? Either way, he's built big and strong so it works out.

Nighteye - NightWing: From the name again. Also literal future vision.

All Might - RainWing: Stereotyped to be useless in-universe (so like, quirkless? but not really), but I also think it would be cool if he was an animus. Kind of like this au's equivalent to ofa. It works out because the color changing thing could be an equivalent to the transforming thing, too :O

AFO - either NightWing or HiveWing: I have yet to figure this one out because the tribes are ruled by queens not kings, but I wanted to incorporate the hivemind thing with him somehow. I feel like that would suit his character. Either that or make him an animus, which might suit him better. We'll see about that //shrug//

Touya - Ice/SkyWing: The only reason I'm marking him separately from his siblings is I think it would make a lot of sense for him to have firescales. (I have yet to work this out because I know he needs a twin for that, I might just work that around so that Fuyumi's his twin in this au.)

Skeptic - NightWing: I think it'd be cool if he had prophetic powers!!

Compress - HiveWing: Idrk with this one. Nothing else seemed to suit him and it fits his color palette anyway ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠∵⁠ ⁠)⁠┌

Toga - HiveWing: I was going to make her a RainWing because of their color changing scales, but I think it would suit her better to give her an animus-touched object that allows her to totally change her appearance instead. HiveWing for her because they can be pretty dangerous.

Shigaraki - Ice/SandWing?: Subject to change because I really genuinely don't know what to do for him. I'm thinking AFO could be an animus who gave Shigaraki animus powers, too? Leaving him as an Ice/Sand for now because it fits his colors and he's also dry (crusty) lmao

Spinner - SilkWing: ┐⁠(⁠´⁠(⁠エ⁠)⁠｀⁠)⁠┌ Green and purple scales

Shirakumo - IceWing: He doesn't exactly fit the IceWing personality, but they're the only tribe with cloud names that I know of.

Kurogiri - NightWing: Okok I know they're the same dragon but HEAR ME OUT. Animus magic. Kinda like the situation with Winter's brother in book 7. (Basically magic used to completely change someone's identity. With this specific spell, he wouldn't remember his previous identity.) I also think this would be kind of interesting to play around with the Ice/Night kingdom feud :]

Mic - SandWing: There's not really a tribe that has a particularly loud roar or anything, I think?? But I figured SandWing fit because they're a musical tribe and Mic is a DJ :))

Aizawa - NightWing: Nocturnal, stealthy in shadows, and general commanding presence.

Shinsou - NightWing: I mean.? Mind reading abilities!! Fits too well!!!

Eri - SilkWing: Specifically a flamesilk! Not that her character has anything to do with fire, but I think this suits her. I was originally going to make her an animus, but this fit better in my head.

Mirio - SandWing: I have the impulse to make every blond character a SandWing and I'm letting it slide this time (⁠ ⁠；⁠∀⁠；⁠)

Nejire - SilkWing: They were the closest vibe, I don't really have a good explanation for her 😅

Tamaki - RainWing: Color changing abilities are kind of like shapeshifting, right? I need to stop defaulting to RainWing for this ahskajsk

Hatsume - RainWing: RainWings are surprisingly creative, but also one of her main colors is pink.

Rody - Sand/MudWing: Idk, I just wanted to include him?? I really liked him. I think the background of him growing up in the Scorpion Den with his siblings is pretty canon compliant.

Midoriya - Rain/SandWing: Ngl I had no idea what to do with him other than the fact that I wanted him to be an animus, like All Might. Because he's a hybrid, he ended up not having any natural features of either tribes.

Bakugo - SandWing: Not exactly fiery, but it suits his color palette better. He could use those cactus bombs that are pretty explosive. Also SandWings are my second favorite tribe lol. Both him and Deku grew up in Possibility with Shoto.

Ochako - SeaWing: She can float with her quirk, and swimming underwater is kind of like floating, right?

Ojiro - RainWing: Prehensile tail :) Also they live in the rainforest with monkeys so it fits. Bonus that RainWings are way underestimated too often. Briefly considered making him a SeaWing bc of their powerful tails, but settled with Rain for all the other reasons :>

Tsuyu - RainWing: Camouflage and agility! Also lives in the rainforest with the tree frogs!

Mina - RainWing: They have the whole venomous acid thing???? Yeah.

Shoji - SeaWing: Octopus theme!! Blue! Ocean vibes!!!

Tokoyami - NightWing: Darkness, mystery, strange telepathic abilities? Yes.

here are some of my fav lina x lilia x rollo concepts if you don't mind me sharing!

lilia is 700 years old and he's been through so much and it took a lot of time for him to change and become the gremlin that he is today. lina is MUCH younger than him, but she also had to go through a lot of horrors. lilia never says that their trauma isn't valid and never says stuff like "well at least you didn't have to fight in a war". he just hopes they can feel a bit lighter when he's around.

i've mentioned before that i imagine lina's unique magic hurting them a lot in exchange for them to do things as good (or better than) as others so yeah, maybe rollo would find lina suspicious at first but then imagine him finding out about what her magic is doing to her and he's like. "SEE. I AM RIGHT. WE HAVE TO SAVE YOU WE HAVE TO GET RID OF MAGIC WE HAVE TO-" and lina is standing there like "sir.. why do you want to save me.."

*sobs* rollo putting a flower in lina's hair while she's sitting lost in thought and comparing her to that flower *CRIES*

rollo being confused why lilia is 100% okay with a poly relationship and lilia is like "well. uh. well. you see. i have EXPERIENCE" mallenoa and her husband (possibly crowley)

ACTUALLY IT'S SO FUNNY bc if you think about it lina x lilia x rollo is like a reverse version of that relationship. it's not the "actual queen" and a "trash man" it's "the nbc student council president and the most talented student from that school" and "a wet cat i found on the street and said "i just think it's neat"".

Genshin Impact- Dorothea Morgenstern

Good Morning everyone.

Couldn't really sleep last night, so I just decided to work some more on finishing my Cryo!Dorothea.

ngl, I am actually happy with the way she turned out! Her hairstyle in particular is heavily inspired by the one I gave her in one of my own AUs (one of my personal ones), because the whole vibe I was going for her was "Opulent Ice Queen". I love the fact that, normally, as per my own canon, Dorothea has a strong "Queenly Vibe" that comes from both her personality and demeanor, so, I am always happy to give her outfits and garments that suits that.

The whole theme for her outfit was ice/frost and roses and thorns and, of course, her omnipresent Morning Star and I actually enjoyed mixing up different fashion eras (such as Victorian and Renaissance, with an HEAVY flair of pure Fantasy -my jam-)

As per her story, within the context of Teyvat Lore, I have mentioned earlier that she is a denizen of the frosty land of Snezhnaya (and because it's a region that's yet to be shown to us, I decided to have fun and create my own decal for her Vision, trying to also kinda sorta reconnect it to the land Snezhnaya is based upon), and her family is primarily composed by her father, a Diplomat from Mondstadt and a member of the old aristocracy, and her mother, one of the richest merchant in Snezhnaya, along with her cousins, merchants in their own right. They may or may not have some sort of bond with the Harbingers and the Fatui, and they may or may not serve under the Tsaritsa. 👀

I gotta say, one of the thing that I had most fun with was actually trying to parallel and mirror Dorothea's whole family into their Teyvat's counterparts. It just all work itself so easily and smoothly, it truly brought me so much comfort.

11 Amnesia Weilan (Guardian)

In which Zhao Yunlan wakes up with amnesia to a beautiful man fussing over him, realizing they clearly had sex (he's so sore! How much did he drink last night!? It's a damn shame he doesn't remember...) only for Shen Wei to try to heal him with dark energy⸺and Zhao Yunlan freaks the fuck out. Because! Dixingren!

(He doesn't remember anything from canon, so he has to speedrun his early canon development again and regain his memories both.)

26 YOHE slave au (Guardian)

ngl this one is a bit more Out There in terms of worldbuilding. The basic idea is that the Dixingren are actually rebelling against something: a society in which Dixingren are oppressed and usually enslaved in hopes of keeping them from awakening their powers.

So Zhao Yunlan drops into YOHE era and takes Kunlun's place with very little explanation from Ma Gui, only to trip over Shen Wei in Kunlun's tent. Because Shen Wei hasn't yet learned any useful powers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ having only recently awoken his. (And Kunlun died to the rebels because Ye Zun is trying to free his enslaved twin.)

Honestly, I just started it for The Vibes and also because the idea of Shen Wei waking ZYL up with a blowjob the next morning and ZYL going from YES, YES, YES PLEASE! to OH FUCK NO is hilarious to me (I'm messed up I know 😂)

29 Ye Zun's pillar trap (Guardian)

This one's easy: when I first watched, I knew there came a point where Ye Zun impersonates Shen Wei (because I saw a Xiao Yunlan gifset). So when Zhao Yunlan goes to save Shen Wei from the pillar, I was convinced this was a trap and it's actually Ye Zun trapped to the pillar, pretending to be Shen Wei. So the entire soaking in sunlight on the bench scene I was like *squints suspiciously*

So, canon divergence where it's actually Ye Zun ZYL freed and Ye Zun trying to pretend to be his brother to enjoy the sunlight for as long as he can :D probably plotting something evil and totally not enjoying the positive attention and social interactions, no siree!
