I- the gnome is Neon I take no criticism. They are often good-natured souls with a more mischievous side, and if that doesn’t describe Neon I’m not sure what does. Playful, funny, good intentions, that my good Bean is our lovable cat personified. Okay Parhelion dnd au with gnome Neon please /j.

I AM SMACKING THE GUN OUT OF YOUR HANDS [runs into a glass wall] dammit,, guess I gotta talk now

I- oh no,, time to fail the exam I guess (turns all your head canons upside down)

Okay they do sleep yes they do. Actually that’s a lie only Ciel sleeps, the other two are insomniacs. Ciel has all of her day to day life planned out to the minute, so she heads to bed at a certain time and wakes up at a certain time, the other two are more of a “we’ll sleep when we’re tired” kinda duo. Unfortunately due to Ilia’s night terrors and Neon’s ADHD they almost never rest. No they do not sleep in a SANE bed, ha why would they have a bed? They sleep in a hammock all tangled up with each other. It’s hard to tell what order they sleep in when they kinda curl into each other. They do not use a duvet, why have a duvet when Neon is a space heater? There are no pillows on the hammock X). OKAY THEIR ROOM, THIS I GOT, it’s a funky mess that is somehow organized thanks to Ciel. Ilia doesn’t own a lot in general but it was her life’s dream to paint her bedroom rainbow so guess what they have now. The other two are too soft and they supported her efforts and they love her despite her poor design sense XD.

I- why closet ASDFG I mean— No they do not share a closet they all have completely different fashion sense and if that was all in one place people would be genuinely terrified. But since they’re broke they had to make do with one walk in closet that they partitioned off into sections. YES THEY DO HAVE MATCHING OUTFITS THEY ARE SO CUTE LIKE THAT. They tend to be like those cute couple outfits with a few variations to match their own personal style. But their favorite matching outfit are these duck hoodies they own courtesy of once again Ilia living out her childhood dreams. No they don’t own many outfits because like I mentioned earlier they are broke x). Hmm thinking about each other’s styles… Ilia think both of her girlfriends have great taste, she loves the well, neon of Neon, and the prim and properness of Ciel. Neon just doesn’t care XD. And Ciel is just, she’s just standing there wishing she could help their fashion sense, but she holds back because “It does suit them in an odd way.” Ciel gets the most compliments on her style hands down, she looks organized and you can bet she saves money to buy outfits that actually accentuate her cuteness. They don’t wear makeup no time for that (in which you learn Z has little to no knowledge in how to apply makeup and doesn’t know how to answer that question)

OH OKAY I LOVE VIDDY GAMES. Ciel likes real-time strategy games because she’s insane and that’s literally all she knows in life thanks to being raised in an upper class family in Atlas. Neon likes open world games, something something she likes the chance for adventure and determining one’s fate for themself. Ilia has never once played a video game until after she defected from the White Fang but I can see her playing something light like Stardew Valley, low stakes kinda games. Hmm, they might play Animal Crossing together? Since it has aspects they all enjoy. They each have an individual switch (Ilia has a coral switch lite) and one shared PC. Okay game with most hours, maybe Minecraft? They still haven’t beat the enderdragon because Neon keeps getting distracted XD. Neon is the bomb at party games though, you can bet she has a perfect score on all the songs in Just Dance. Ciel is a sharpshooter, god knows who taught her how to shoot like that. The biggest splatoon fan is unfortunately not Neon it is Ilia, she loves all the colors in the game ^^. But she and Neon have wracked up quite a few hours in co-op.

Uhhh books!! Ilia likes fanfics :) it’s unfortunately one of the only ways for her to see positive representation of herself. Neon for some reason reads Epics?? Like her favorite is the Epic of Gilgamesh what is up with that?? Ciel reads webtoons :), she reads enough serious stuff for school work and such, she likes to just kick back and relax after all that. Yes they have schedules reading time courtesy of Ciel :). Uhh, they relax by baking together. None of them had many chances to indulge in sweets while growing up so they make full use of their time now. ?? SPOON?? Cuddle hours happen on a whim, the one thing that Ciel can never schedule because she never knows when it’ll occur. They relax the most in the kitchen x) because that’s where they bake, it’s not unusual to find Neon asleep on the counter while she waits for their sweets to rise. They read in the light, Neon is afraid that by reading in the dark that they’ll all ruin their eyesight. Ciel likes the sunrise because she’s up the earliest and is the only one to see it, the other two prefer sunset because that’s usually when their day is about to begin XD.

Favorite spot for dates! The park ^^, they like to go on picnic dates with all their baked goods. There is no plan, usually one of them will randomly pull the other two out of the house because they haven’t touched grass in a while XD. There are no ideas, they share one braincell and they spend too much time doting on each other to use it. Uhm favorite movie genre,,, they like comedy movies :). Their favorite place to eat is this tiny store on the corner of their street that makes mean gyros, they heccin’ love them. Coping with horror, Ilia is desensitized to horror because of the things she’s seen in life, Neon treats it like a game because she knows it’s not real, Ciel, is okay with it, but she gets shook more easily than the other two and they often have to reassure her. No they do not like theme parks, there are too many people around for Ilia and Ciel and Neon respects their boundaries so they tend to go to more quiet places. Uhm heights, Ciel is used to heights because she’s friends with Penny and woah can that girl toss her in the air like she’s a couple of grapes. Ilia doesn’t mind heights but she would prefer to have her feet on the ground. Neon loves the ground so damn much if it leaves her she will cry because man she can’t roller-skate in the air can she, what will she do if the ground is suddenly gone? They like evening dates because it’s normally the only time all three of them are awake enough for it XD. They end a night by sleeping I am not quite sure if there are other ways to end it lmao. They absolutely despise Neon’s roller skating dates but they love how excited she gets about them so they end up becoming as good as professional roller skaters because the smile on Neon’s face when they join her is dazzling.

I am slowly going insane. Yes each girl has a hobby I sure hope they do. Ilia knits, Ciel paints, and Neon writes. I would like to imagine that Ciel would try to schedule time for their hobbies she ends up giving up because all their sleep schedules are wack. Designated chef is Neon (probably made food for FNKI back in atlas), designated driver is Ilia (I mean I like to imagine she stole cars and stuff in the White Fang XD), designated decorator for stuff is normally Ciel though Neon does try to hijack a few of her plans occasionally, designated shopper is Ciel because the other two have no concept of Saving money, and they all work together to clean :). They don’t work together, they believe in keeping their work life and home life separate to prevent their feelings from getting in the way. They do not have pets, none of them have the energy or responsibility to do that, but Ilia did once bring a moose home one day for some reason.

I am nomming on your arm sir. Ilia and Neon get along with Penny surprisingly well, though I do think Ilia would get along with Weiss better? Ruby and Weiss look at Ciel and see a beacon arc Weiss and more or less adopt her despite Ciel being older than the two of them. They might like.. play board games together? Like some of those more team based board games I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, may the best polycule win. I cannot see them in a cuddle puddle to be honest ajcnjsanjs I am so sorry— hmm Ruby and Neon do not know the meaning of formal, as far as they are concerned these are their girlfriend’s friends and that means that by extension these are their friends. Weiss would like nothing to do with Neon after Neon insults Yang during the Vytal festival but she begrudgingly goes on outings with her and hey, now they’re make up buddies for some reason. The parhelion gals take the fs gals to the gyro place they like :). Parhelion gang Is a lot more vocal on their dates because their love language happens to be words of affirmation while the fs gang’s happen to be physical touch. Both polycules are very very affectionate though I will die on this hill.

(Parhelion angst! How do Neon and Ciel react to the news about the dust mine? How do they find out about Ilia getting expelled? Do they find out about the white fang? Is there any faunus stigma afterwards? How does Ciel react to people bullying her Faunus GFS? Does Neon talk to Ciel much after? Do they ever reunite? Does Neon attempt to help Ciel while she grieves Penny? Where the fuck is Ciel now? Is Neon still alive? Does Ilia ever think about them? Does Blake know about them from Ilia?)

BUDDY I CAME TO THE LAST ASK AND NOW ONLY DID I REALIZE YOU MEANT PARHELION BACK WHEN THEY WHERE IN BEACON THIS WHOLE TIME I’M CRYING. (This ask is answered under the assumption that they are already dating back in Atlas Academy) Ciel is fiercely protective of her girlfriends, though people only know that Neon is a Faunus because Ilia masks her traits during her time at the academy. Neon and Ciel are horrified about the news about the dust mines. They know that Ilia is a Faunus and that her parents were working there so they rush to see her as soon as possible. But they’re too late,,, Ilia’s already been expelled for attacking her fellow students. They don’t hear from Ilia for a few years after that and the two slowly drift apart, each blaming the other for not getting to Ilia soon enough. They don’t find out about the White Fang until they reunite with Ilia unfortunately, but they feel sad that Ilia had felt that they only way for her to get revenge for her parents was by joining a militant group (I’m working under the assumption that Sienna only took control of the White Fang shortly before Ilia joined). When Neon learns that Penny didn’t make it after the Fall of Beacon she hesitantly reaches out to Ciel for the first time in a year, and she does try to help. But for Ciel it’s blow after heccin’ blow and she pushes Neon away in a rage. Ciel leaves the Academy after that and goes rogue, working as a huntsman without a license for the poorer parts of remnant. Ilia is unaware of all this drama during the Beacon arc. The next time she hears of any news is during the Fall of Atlas, and she’s scared, scared because she’s still recovering and she just heard Ruby announce to the world that Remnant is under attack, and oh my gosh her ex girlfriends live in Atlas. Neon makes it out alive, though not entirely in one piece, she now has a prosthetic leg. Ilia is the first person to see her, it’s a tearful reunion and they haven’t fully made up yet, but hey it’s a work in progress, now they just have to find out where Ciel is, but when they do they’ll BOTH be there to greet her. Blake has no idea who the fuck Ciel and Neon are lmao, Ilia never told her anything about her past romances when she was in the White Fang.

Fluff Alphabet: Carewyn/???

Okay, so I was tagged by @cursebreakerfarrier, @montaguehphm, AND @lins-hogwarts-mystery for this...but I have two current possible end-game ships for my girl, Carewyn Cromwell -- Carewyn/Chiara and Carewyn/Diego.

So I’m going to split it up like this -- italics will be for Carewyn/Chiara, bold will be for Carewyn/Diego. Maybe you guys can reply to this post with your thoughts about which ship you favor, after reading these over? LOL XDD

A: Attractive (What do they find attractive about the other?)

Carewyn has always been enamored of Chiara’s modesty, passion for Healing, patience, and unwavering kindness. Carewyn constantly feels like she has to work at being kind and forgiving, and it’s something that comes so easily to Chiara, even despite her horrible lot in life, and Carewyn loves that about her. Chiara was first attracted to Carewyn’s strong compassion, but later also fell in love with her courage and determination. Plus she also thinks she’s really friggin’ pretty and she can’t stop looking at her mouth whenever she’s talking *blush*. XD

Carewyn loves how steadfast Diego is, once he’s set his mind to something. Even though he seems like a flaky flirt, he’s actually very loyal to the people he cares about. Carewyn also loves how much fun he is to be around, and surprisingly -- even though she finds his flirting hilarious rather than swoon-worthy -- she does like Diego’s more sincerely romantic, sentimental side, such as when he wears one of her earrings so he can feel like she’s closer to him while they’re apart, or when he calls in to request a song for her on the Wizarding Wireless Network while she’s at work. Diego was first interested in getting to know Carewyn because he’d heard she was an amazing duelist (which he’ll always find hot as all get-out), and of course he thought she was rather pretty -- but what he actually finds most attractive about Carewyn isn’t her talent or her courage, but her laugh. Carewyn’s prone to mask her emotions a lot and she usually covers her mouth to try to hold in her laughter -- but Diego loves nothing more than when usually super-serious Carewyn is so happy that her cheeks flush pink, her sparkling eyes flutter closed, and she just cannot stop giggling.

B: Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?)

Chiara is intimidated by the thought of having a family because of her lycanthropy. Carewyn doesn’t want biological children, and is very happy simply caring for her adopted “son,” Erik Apollo.

Diego would like a family, but isn’t picky about what kind. He’s perfectly content with treating Carewyn’s ward Erik as his son, since Carewyn doesn’t want to bear children of her own. He’s also dotes on his friends’ kids just as much as Carewyn does.

C: Cuddle (How do they cuddle?)

Chiara really likes cuddling my poor touch-starved child, but is very shy about initiating any kind of intimacy, since she knows she gets more out of cuddling and sex than asexual!Carewyn. Fortunately Carewyn can usually sense when Chiara really desires closeness and so will often initiate cuddle time for her. When the two do cuddle, it usually consists of either Carewyn sleeping behind Chiara with her arm around her waist and her head on her shoulder, or with the two leaning against each other and holding hands in one of their respective laps.

Diego LOVES cuddling, but is aware of Carewyn’s lessened interest in it, so he tries to find creative ways for them to be close without cuddling frequently. Since Carewyn likes holding his arm when they’re in public, Diego adds onto that by resting his hand on top of hers holding his arm. If Carewyn’s holding his wrist, Diego will twist his arm around to hold hers in return, rubbing his thumb lightly along her skin.

D: Dates (What are dates with them?)

Concerts! Chiara and Carewyn love going to concerts together -- they always dress to impress and always go out of their way to get matching concert tees. The best concert they’ve been to so far was for Prince, but they also have gone to see artists like Queen and the Cure live. Besides that, they actually spend a lot of dates at home, sitting under the blankets reading books together. One of Chiara’s favorite memories is Carewyn reading Mr. Darcy’s romantic monologue from the end of Pride and Prejudice aloud for the first time -- when she’d finished, Chiara couldn’t stop herself from leaning forward, bringing a hand up to Carewyn’s face to make her look up, and ensnaring her lips in a deep, hungry kiss. Around Christmas time, Chiara and Carewyn like taking turns reading A Christmas Carol aloud to each other.

The obvious one is dancing. Diego LOVES finding an excuse to dance with Carewyn, whether by taking her to a small nightclub, by signing them up for a dance class, or just by turning on the radio while they’re home alone and twirling her around the kitchen. One of the most fun classes they took was for ballroom dance -- Carewyn wore one of her prettiest, flowiest dresses and when they danced together, Diego felt like he was in an old Hollywood movie musical. Besides dancing, though, Diego and Carewyn also go to the movie theater and watch movies at home a lot. Carewyn’s favorite type of movies are musicals, period dramas and detective stories, while Diego’s favorite genres are musicals, action movies, and chick flicks (yes, really -- he cries so hard watching The Notebook).

E: Everything (You are my ____ (e.g. my life, my world…))

Carewyn to Chiara: “You are my sanctuary.”

Chiara to Carewyn: “You are my courage.”

Carewyn to Diego: “You are my sunshine.”

Diego to Carewyn: “You are my inspiration.”

F: Feelings (When did they know they were in love?)

Chiara knew she was in love with Carewyn the moment she saw Carewyn first transform into a robin so she could stay with her and keep her company during the next full moon. The fact that Carewyn had put in so much effort and work, all for her, moved Chiara so much that, when she returned to her dorm after that full moon, her eyes flooded with tears just thinking about it.

Carewyn knew she was in love with Chiara the moment that Chiara took hold of Carewyn’s face in both hands, holding it as she leaned in close and whispered in a voice fiercer than Carewyn had ever heard her use before that she didn’t care how much Carewyn hated herself, that she -- Chiara -- would love her until Carewyn could love herself. That day had been one of the worst for Carewyn after Rowan’s death -- she’d disappeared for almost an entire day and had only just reemerged, ending up in a crying clump on the ground with Bill, Charlie, Ben, and Merula, and Chiara had arrived with Talbott and a few others behind her, racing straight to Carewyn’s side. Her unconditional support and passion with which she spoke touched Carewyn more than she could ever hope to express.

Diego knew he was in love with Carewyn when he stood side by side with her before the Circle of Khanna’s final battle with R. She’d been standing alone, dressed in robes worthy of a general, and Diego had approached her, asking if she was all right. They talked for a while, before Diego gave one of his usual “charming” quips -- and Carewyn just started laughing. She laughed harder than Diego had ever heard her laugh before. Diego smiled, dumbfounded, asking if he was really that funny; Carewyn finally managed to rein in her amusement and, through a fond smile, reached up, gave Diego a light platonic kiss to the cheek, and thanked him. “I was terrified, looking out at everything,” she’d said. “It was...overwhelming. But you reminded me why I’m doing this at all -- because you all are worth any risk. So I can love you more strongly than I could ever fear anything.” As she said it, the sunrise behind her made a crown-like halo of sunshine around her head -- and in that moment, Diego knew he was lost.

Carewyn knew she was in love with Diego when he finally, finally manged to beat her in a duel one day. Even though she’s much more mature than when she was a kid, Carewyn has always been a rather sore loser, berating herself whenever she falls short, and so as she rose to her feet, there was a noticeable drop of her head and weight on her shoulders. Rather than gloat, Diego immediately rushed over to Carewyn, gushing over her technique at the top of his lungs as he led her away from everyone else. Once the bystanders were out of earshot, Diego asked Carewyn if she’d sing something for him. Carewyn was startled by the request -- Diego explained that Carewyn always looked so happy and free whenever she sang, and in that moment, he couldn’t bear to see “his General” hang her head. Carewyn settled on “Angel,” a song by her favorite band, the Eurythmics. She sang it softly so only the two of them could hear it as they walked side by side...and after a while, she caught the sound of Diego lowly singing the chorus (“Angel, my angel...fly over me...Angel...”) along with her. She looked into his dark eyes, saw his full, delighted smile...and she knew.

G: Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?)

Chiara and Carewyn are both the EPITOME of gentle, the first because she’s a shy Healer, the second because she’s a total empath. Whenever they’re ever actually physically intimate, Chiara and Carewyn usually caress and hold each other’s faces a lot and trail their hands through each other’s hair.

Carewyn is gentle, yeah, but amusingly, Diego is also an absolute friggin’ gentleman. When Carewyn can’t reach something, Diego will sometimes offer to physically lift her so she can get it, and he always holds her waist with both the strength and gentleness of a male figure skater.

H: Hands (How do they like to hold hands?)

Chiara loves interlacing her fingers with Carewyn’s while they’re holding hands, whenever appropriate. She likes being able to feel Carewyn’s pulse when the inside of their wrists are touching.

Carewyn will frequently hold onto Diego’s arm, so Diego often holds Carewyn’s hand holding his arm. He likes to rub his thumb affectionately over the back of her hand.

I: Impression (What was their first impression?)

Carewyn of Chiara: ‘She seems so...lonely.’

Chiara of Carewyn: ‘Why is she looking at me like that? It’s like...she can see through me...’

Carewyn of Diego: ‘...Is he for real?’

Diego of Carewyn: ‘Such a lovely smile, and yet...such closed eyes. I wonder what’s behind those eyes.’

J: Jealousy (Do they get jealous?)

Chiara isn’t jealous, exactly, but she does frequently doubt herself and lament that Carewyn deserves someone better than her -- someone who isn’t a werewolf and wouldn’t have the potential of hurting her or damaging her reputation at the Ministry. It’s more that she becomes depressed and hopeless at the thought of Carewyn with other people, rather than territorial.

Diego does get jealous. He’s very aware of how much Carewyn attracts others around her, and although most of the time he’s a pretty chill dude, he hates it when other men flirt with Carewyn. He’s cool with Carewyn’s relationships with people like Bill, Charlie, and Talbott, since he knows that the love Carewyn feels for them is strictly platonic -- but when someone he doesn’t know tries to make a move on Carewyn, he can’t help himself from asserting himself a bit and making it clear that she’s taken. Fortunately Carewyn, being the incredibly monogamous sort she is, is usually able to soothe Diego’s concerns, either by introducing Diego to the person properly or by likewise making her relationship status clear by introducing Diego as her boyfriend and/or kissing his cheek.

(In both cases, Carewyn is remarkably unfazed by jealousy. Once she makes a commitment, she’s in it for the long haul, and she expects nothing less from her respective partner. As long as you love her and she loves you, that’s all that matters. But if you give her real cause to doubt you, such as you having a romantic affair with someone else, that’s it, you’re out of her life. No forgiveness.)

K: Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?)

Carewyn initiated the first kiss, which was very short and chaste. Chiara froze like a deer in the headlights, but after she finally recovered herself and the two hashed out their feelings a bit, she rather clumsily moved in and kissed Carewyn herself much more fully. Since she knows Carewyn prefers short kisses to long ones (since Carewyn likes to look at her partner’s face to see their reaction and keeping your eyes open during long kisses gets uncomfortable), Chiara tries to keep most of her kisses rather chaste, only dipping into deep kisses when she’s feeling particularly affectionate or turned on. When they do kiss, though, it’s usually always on the lips, except for when one of them has to wake up before the other to go to work and they kiss each other on the forehead before heading out.

Diego initiated the first kiss after asking through a charming smile if Carewyn would slap him if he did. (She laughed quietly before assuring him she wouldn’t.) Since Carewyn’s less physically affectionate than him, Diego tries to get creative with his kisses, just like he does his cuddling. Sometimes he’ll ask Carewyn for a kiss, and when she moves in to kiss him on the lips or cheek, he’ll kiss her nose instead. He also loves kissing her hands, whether a gentlemanly kiss on the back of her hand or a more sensual one to her palm while they’re more intimate.

L: Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?)

Although the two women suspected each other’s feelings for a long while beforehand, Carewyn said the actual words aloud first. "...I realize that...neither of us is very good, when it comes to admitting these sorts of things...but...after everything we’ve been through, I couldn’t live with myself if you didn’t know. My heart is yours, Chiara. It has been for a long time. And it doesn’t matter to me if you want to take the next step with me, or make it official. Just...know that I love you, with everything I am.”

Diego confessed first, after inviting Carewyn to sing some karaoke with him at a local pub. He chose a love duet from a movie musical he and Carewyn had gone out to see with some friends and really enjoyed, and after the two had something of a silent conversation with their eyes the entire time they were singing, Diego offered Carewyn an oddly self-conscious smile as they headed back to their table. “...I wanted to make sure you knew I was serious.” “So you were?” “What? You think I wasn’t?” “It was a little melodramatic.” “Well yes, but -- wasn’t it romantic?” “Yes. It was. ...So you were being serious?” “Yes! Incredibly! ...I love you, Carewyn Cromwell. I have for...well, quite a while, now.”

M: Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)

Chiara’s favorite memory is when Carewyn first turned into her robin Animagus form to keep her company during the full moon. Carewyn’s favorite is when she first brought Chiara home to her mother Lane at Christmas time, and the two connected instantly.

Diego’s favorite memory is when he first invited Carewyn to dance with him in the Three Broomsticks during OWL season -- he’ll never forget how much his heart grew, seeing her self-conscious smile and flushed face as she sang along to the song being played. Carewyn’s favorite is when they first dueled the troll together -- even years later, she looks back on that day very fondly, as it was when she realized what a truly loyal companion Diego was.

N: Nickel (Do they spoil one another? Do they buy the person they love everything?)

Neither Chiara nor Carewyn are the sort to spend a lot of money, but they do always go out of their way to save up and buy each other something really nice every Christmas. Carewyn likes to surprise Chiara with little packages of baked goods that she can take into work, while Chiara loves saving up over the span of several years to buy Carewyn a really nice pair of diamond earrings or something.

Diego loves surprising Carewyn with little tokens of his affection. They usually won’t cost much, but nothing gives him more joy than being able to give Carewyn a gift for no other reason than “I saw this and thought of you!” Carewyn teases Diego for his little “unbirthday” gifts in the beginning, but before long, she’s reciprocating in kind by baking him stuff and leaving sweet little handwritten notes on the fridge and in the pocket of his robes for him to find. Diego always melts into a pile of lovestruck goo whenever he finds one of her notes, even if he’s in the middle of tutoring some rich pureblood family’s kid in Wizard Dueling.

O: Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?)

Carewyn always thinks of Chiara whenever she sees anything silver -- she actually gravitates more toward silver jewelry largely because of her other half. Chiara thinks of Carewyn whenever she sees anything bright blue, like her eyes: Chiara actually mentally dubs any cloudless blue sky as a ‘Care-Blue sky,’ and always feels a spring in her step whenever she sees one.

Carewyn associates Diego with navy blue, not just for the jean jacket he often wore at school, but for her favorite of his dress robes that he wears for work. She always thinks he looks very handsome in them, even if she always has to fix the collar whenever it comes undone. Diego associates the color orange with Carewyn, specifically orange roses, which was one of the first presents he ever gave her when they started dating. When he gave her the single orange rose, he explained that in the language of flowers, they stand for desire, and he associated them with Carewyn not just because of her ginger hair, but because she desires so much from the world and the people around her, and he desires being beside her as long as he can. Carewyn grows an incredible fondness for orange roses over the years, thanks to the many times he’d give her them and even just point them out to her whenever they were out and about.

P: Pet names (What pet names do they use?)

Carewyn calls Chiara “Chi.” Chiara calls Carewyn “Care.” Sometimes they’ll also call each other “dear” and “honey.”

Diego calls Carewyn “General” -- a nickname he developed when she first led the Circle of Khanna. Diego also uses many affectionate variations, such as “sweet General,” “fair General,” “dear General” and “my General.” Carewyn calls Diego “Cap,” though she’ll also call Diego “dear” and “love” when she’s feeling particularly affectionate.

Q: Quaint (What is their favorite non-modern thing?)

Chiara finds old-fashioned strap-on roller skates beyond cute. She also loves it when Carewyn wears vintage-style dresses -- they’re always so pretty on her!

Diego likes old-fashioned glass soda bottles. He and Carewyn actually collect them and reuse them as glasses when they’re eating at home.

(In both cases, Carewyn picks records. CD’s are fine, but records have WAY better sound quality, thank you.)

R: Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?)

Carewyn and Chiara read Muggle fiction books aloud together, either in bed or on the couch under a blanket. Some of their favorites that they’ve read together are Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, The Secret Garden, and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Diego and Carewyn watch TV and/or a movie together. Carewyn is a sucker for crime shows, but she will let Diego change the channel so he can watch Days of Our Lives at the proper time.

S: Sad (How do they cheer each other up?)

Chiara reassures Carewyn that she’s there for her and tries to get Carewyn to talk about whatever’s upsetting her, with the thought that she’ll feel better once she vent her feelings properly. Carewyn tends to coddle Chiara, showering her with affection and trying to encourage her enough to tell her what’s wrong and how she can help.

Diego tries to be physically present for Carewyn, when she’s upset. He often won’t broach the subject directly, preferring her to open up on her own if she wants to talk, but wants to make it clear that he’s not going anywhere. Carewyn will likewise coddle Diego.

T: Talking (What do they like to talk about?)

Carewyn and Chiara love talking about their respective jobs and coworkers with each other, and they always feed off of each other’s passion for their work. They also talk about music a lot, ranking bands and songs and getting into friendly debates about musical artists they disagree on. When things are more serious, they’ll sometimes talk about the political landscape, too.

Diego's conversations with Carewyn are often aimless and laid-back. Even when Carewyn starts off talking about something serious, they’ll usually banter and drift off so much that the conversation always ends up somewhere completely different than where they started. They can start on a topic like one of Carewyn’s upcoming court cases and end up talking about a new flavor of ice cream at the parlor down the street.

U: Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)

Chiara and Carewyn both relax when they’re able to sit quietly and comfortably together after a long day.

Carewyn likes when Diego offers to brush her hair. Diego loves when Carewyn offers to give him a neck or back massage.

V: Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)

Chiara isn’t a show-off at all -- but she does get some secret, giddy satisfaction whenever she can bring Carewyn to St. Mungo’s, not just to show Carewyn where she’s working and what she’s been up to, but also to show off her friggin’ gorgeous girlfriend to her co-workers. Yes, that girl is mine. 83

Diego is a total show-off while dueling, both when Carewyn’s around to watch or not. He also makes it a point to show off Carewyn when they’re in public, especially if she’s dressed to kill.

(In both cases, Carewyn loves showing off any new outfits she’s wearing...and of course, she loves telling everyone about her partner’s achievements.)

W: Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?)

In both cases, I’m not sure I would have Chiara or Diego propose. Carewyn is actually quite a romantic person, but she’s not huge into the idea of marriage. (Considering how her parents’ marriage turned out, I can’t say I blame her.) I’m more likely to see Carewyn’s happy ending with her respective partner being a domestic partnership or even queerplatonic relationship, over a marriage.

Enough Pt. 14

A/N: Hey guys! Here is the new update for Enough! I hope you guys enjoy it and as always I enjoy receiving feedback! Please don’t hold back and let me know what you guys think! Also, I did my own gif lol I could not find what i wanted for this chapter, so I decided to ‘make’ my own. Please don’t judge me too harshly, I am not tech savvy xD

Mina and Suho were kind enough to pick you up from the airport once you arrived at Seoul. They were being very tentative with the way they spoke to you and it annoyed you that they were treating you like a ticking time bomb. You tried to ignore it and smile as much as possible without it looking fake. You tried to keep up with the conversation as Suho drove you to your house. Mina was updating you on how her doctor appointments were going and you were genuinely happy to hear about your future niece or nephew. They insisted on taking you out to dinner but you were tired and just wanted to go home and sleep. Suho and Mina shared a look and agreed to drop you off home.

Pulling up to your apartment you felt a strange wave of sadness overcome you when you realized that you actually moved. You’re back in Seoul, away from what means the world to you. Suho helped you with one of your suitcases as you rolled the other one up to your apartment. Mina tagged along, insisting on helping even though you refused to let her carry anything heavy. You opened the door with the new code your building manager gave you and you were surprised to see how it looked exactly the same. You don’t know what you were expecting, since no one entered your apartment during your time away. But you definitely were not expecting to feel an emptiness. The place that once felt like home now felt like a foreign place to you.

“Okay, well I guess you don’t have much to unpack. Do you want us to stay and help?” Mina offered, feeling bad about leaving you alone

“No, it’s fine. You guys have done enough for me. Go home and rest, you must be tired.” You say, rubbing Mina’s stomach in a loving manner.

“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call.” Suho said and gave you a pointed look, which made you smile.

“Of course. Thank you guys, really.” You gave them a smile, not knowing what you would do without them.

“Okay, good night.” Mina gave you a strong goodbye hug, making you emotional all of a sudden.

You walked them to the door and bid them farewell, thankful to be left alone. You sat on your couch and closed your eyes, exhaling a long breath. The last 36 hours replaying in your head like a movie.

When you arrived at the Friends Corp. building you were nervous and full of jitters, not knowing if you were going to see Jaehyun or not. You walked to the HR office to return your employee badge and access card. You then proceeded to go to Wendy’s office, saying goodbye to her and answering her questions about why you were leaving all of a sudden. You gave her a brief explanation as to why you were headed back to Seoul and kept an eye out to see if you saw Jaehyun. Once you were done talking to Wendy you went down the hall to look for Johnny and Mark, hoping that Jaehyun might be with them.

“Noona, I just can’t believe that you’re leaving. Why?” Mark asked, extremely sad that you were leaving.

“I know, we didn’t even have time to throw you a going away party or anything.” Johnny whines, still not believing that you were actually leaving.

“Wait! Does Jaehyun know?” Mark asked, realizing that he wasn’t there.

“Wait, he called out sick this morning.” Johnny says, trying to put the puzzle pieces together. “Did something happen?” He questions.

Your eyes welled up with tears as you look at your two friends and you try with all your might not to cry in front of them.

“Um, Jaehyun and I broke up last night.” You say in a whisper, hoping that if you don’t say it too loudly it isn’t true.

“WHAT?” Both men exclaimed, shocked at the news that their two great friends broke up.

“Why? What Happened?” Mark questioned, not believing that this happened.

“There were just some… issues we could not work through, and I have a lot of projects waiting for me in Seoul that cannot wait.” You explained, not wanting to get into the details.

“Damn I’m sorry.” Johnny says, giving you a hug.

“You guys can come and visit me any time.” You say with a small smile. You say your final goodbyes and leave the building, a dull ache in your chest.

It does not surprise you that Jaehyun was not at work but you’d be lying if you said you weren’t sad. You were really hoping to see him to at least give him an explanation. It would have been ideal if you did that at your apartment, but you were frozen in place, just watching your life crumble around you. You were angry with yourself for not fighting for your relationship; for not fighting to keep Jaehyun in your life and saving your relationship.

The whole process of getting to the airport, going through security and finding your gate was all done on autopilot. Your mind was not present and your body was just going with the motions. Namjoon got you a seat on Business Class and you were thankful because all you wanted to do during your 15 hour flight was sleep and cry with some privacy. And that is exactly what you did. Plus watch a movie or two once your eyes burned from all the crying you did. Thankfully once you landed you had regained some control over your emotions, so Suho and Mina did not know of what you did on the plane. You’re pretty sure they had an idea though because you were uncharacteristically quiet.

You had not realized you were crying until your body was shaking with sobs, tears streaming down your face. You hated feeling sorry for yourself. You felt pathetic and dumb and crying was not going to fix anything. Crying was not going to take you back to New York and fix everything, it’s not going to take you to that night and not let Jaehyun go until this was resolved. It’s not going to take you back to the moment Chanyeol entered your life again and put up your walls to keep him out completely. Even though crying was not going to fix your broken heart, you could not help it. Your sobs echoed in your apartment, filling the empty spaces around you. With a trembling body, you made your way to the bathroom and took a shower. The hot water helped relax your tense muscles and wash away the grime from the long plane ride. You were grateful to come home to a clean apartment, courtesy of Namjoon and the company. The time you spent in the shower was enough to relax you into a sleepy lull. You were exhausted from the plane ride, the crying and all the events that took place. You closed your eyes and hoped that sleep would soon envelop you and temporarily make you forget about everything that happened.

“Noona! I am so happy you are back!” Jungkook greets you with a tight hug the second you enter the building. You can't help the laugh that escapes your lips at his tactics, the sound sounding foreign to your own ears.

“Kookie! Look at you! I wasn’t gone a full year and look how buff you got.” You say playfully, pinching his bicep.

“I have been hitting the gym with my hyungs. I wanted to be buff for when you came back.” He says, jokingly flexing his muscles.

“Okay gym rat.” You say with an eye roll, headed to the elevators.

You were greeted by all your coworkers, pleasantries exchanged as you made your way to your office. You felt strange in your office but you knew the feeling would go away soon. Once you were back in your routine and submerge yourself in your projects, you knew the feeling would go away. You heard a knock on your door and you whip your head towards the noise, heart hammering in your chest.

“Hey! Can I come in?” Namjoon asks, hovering by the doorway.

“Yes, of course.” You say, heart still hammering. You were stupid to think it was Jaehyun knocking at your door. Old habits die hard.

“I emailed you the new projects that need to be handled first. After that, you can choose the order in which you complete the other ones.” Namjoon explains, noticing the lack of a smile on your face.

“Sounds great, I’ll get right to it.” You say with a small smile, giving your attention back to your computer.

“Is everything Okay?” Namjoon asks, noticing your odd behavior.

“Yes, everything is fine. I’m just a little tired, I’m not used to the time difference yet.” You say, hoping he’d take that explanation.

“Okay, well pace yourself and take it easy.” He gives you one last knowing glance before he leaves your office.

And just like that you shut yourself out of the real world and immerse yourself in your work, something you were good at and wouldn’t sabotage.

“Get up. Now!” Mina says as she pulls the comforter off your body.

“What the hell Mina? How did you get into my apartment?” You complain, the bright sunlight burning your eye balls.

“Because I know your pin, genius! Now get up, you’re not going to spend the whole weekend wallowing in self pity. We are going for a nice walk to the Han river.” She says matter-of-factly, looking cute in her exercise clothes.

“No.” You reply, trying to snatch the comforter back.

“I said get up, I’m not playing with you! Don’t you know you’re not supposed to make a pregnant woman angry?” She questions, smacking your but hard.

“Ouch!” You whine, kicking your feet like a toddler. “Mina, I don’t want to go to the Han river, I just want to stay here. Leave me alone!” You whine, wishing she wasn’t a good friend right now and would let you rot in your apartment.

“Bitch if you don’t get up I swear I will punch you, you know I will! Me being pregnant is not going to change the fact that I will beat your ass.” She threatens. You know not to mess with Mina because she will beat you up if you make her angry enough.

“Fine! Fine! I’ll fucking go. But just so you know I will hate it and I will complain the whole time!” You huff, getting out of bed and heading for your closet.

“That’s what I thought.” Mina says, satisfied with herself. She doesn’t like to get violent but she will if she needs to.

You come out of your closet dressed in a jogger set, glaring daggers at a smug Mina.

“See? That wasn’t so hard.” She smiles, making you roll your eyes at her.

“You’re lucky you're pregnant with my niece or nephew.” You say, making her laugh.

“Okay, let’s go before it gets any later.” She says in a sing-song voice, annoying you already.

The walk along the Han river was actually very relaxing, but of course you would not admit that to Mina. You enjoyed the breeze hitting your face, alleviating the perpetual weight you felt in your chest. You inhaled the cool air and blamed the stinging in your eyes to the cold wind.

After a nice and relatively quiet walk, you agreed to get some lunch with Mina. she needed to eat because she was eating for two and could not skip any meals. Suho actually had set up reminders on her phone, much to her annoyance. You thought it was cute though, Suho was very immaculate with the things he cared about.

After eating some jjajangmyun, you went to some shops to buy a few items you needed as well as some groceries. You had been ordering take out all week since you got back to Seoul and you decided it was time you started cooking again.

“I can’t believe you have been eating take out this whole time! You are insane.” Mina chastises as you make your way up your apartment building, grocery bags in tow.

“Yeah I know.” You huff, not wanting to be lectured by your best friend. At least she has that aspect of motherhood down.

“Thanks for helping me out today. And for taking me out for a walk.” You say once you have put all your groceries away, Mina getting ready to leave.

“No problem. You know I’m always here for you. Don’t hesitate to call, okay?” She says.

You nod and give her a hug and kiss her belly before she leaves, leaving you alone once again. This time however, you did not feel as empty as you had been, which I guess is a good thing.

“Are you sure I need to go? I can stay here, I really don’t mind.” You say to Namjoon, hoping he would let you have your way.

“What? No! What are you saying? I sent you over there to oversee this whole project and now you’re saying you don’t want to go? Don’t be ridiculous! Our investors are expecting to see you there, a lot of people are. I’m sorry but you’re not getting out of this and that’s final.” Namjoon rants, not believing what he is hearing at this moment.

“Okay, I’m sorry.” You sigh, you didn’t like making Namjoon upset.

“We leave in two days, so if you don’t have a dress already, please go buy one. The company gave you a card with a wardrobe budget for events like this. Use it.” He commands, not taking no for an answer.

“Okay, I will.” You put your hands up in surrender, already hating the thought of going shopping. Normally, you’d love to go shopping with Mina. But as her due date is approaching, Suho has been even more overprotective than usual and does not want her going out and doing too much. So now you are left to go alone and you completely hate that.

“Hey Noona!” Jungkook greets cheerily, sitting down on the chair in front of you.

“Hi Kookie.” You greet, moving the food around on your plate. Just the thought of returning to New York after three months of being back in Seoul is enough to make you lose your appetite.

“Are you excited about going to New York with Joon hyung?” He asks, oblivious to your sour mood.

“Not really. I still need to buy a dress.” You groan, pushing the food tray away from you.

Jungkook gives you a pointed look and swallows a mouthful of rice.

“I can go dress shopping with you.” He offers, giving you a sweet Jungkook smile.

“Won’t you get bored?” You chuckle at his ridiculous offer.

“Of course not! I’d never get bored while hanging out with you noona.” He says, warming your heart a little.

“Well I have to go tonight. Are you available after work?” You ask, not believing that you are actually taking him up on his offer.

“Of course! We shall meet at the lobby at the end of the day. There are some good shops in Gangnam that we can go to.” He offers with a smile.

“Okay, sounds like a plan.” You say, a small smile creeping on your face.

“Now eat. You’re too skinny.” Jungkook pushes your food tray back to you, making you roll your eyes at his antics.

You did manage to eat your food however, some of the previous nerves ebbing away.

At the end of your work day you made your way to the lobby of the building where Jungkook was waiting for you.

“Noona! Ready to go?” He asks, opening the door for you.

“Yes, let’s get this over with.” You say, Jungkook whining at your lack of enthusiasm.

You guys took the subway to Gangnam and Jungkook pointed out some shops that he knew had some nice dress selections.

“I don’t know Kookie, these dresses seem a bit…. Extravagant.” You say, looking through the racks of dresses.

“Noona, it is an extravagant event, so you need to dress the part.” Jungkook says, holding up a dress for you to see. You scrunch your nose and shake your head no to the insultingly revealing dress.

“Come on! You gotta show some skin.” He whines, making you laugh.

“Jungkook, are you sure you did not just come with me so you can see me in a skimpy dress?” You accuse, laughing when you see Jungkook turn a slight shade of incriminating pink.

“Noona~!” He whines, he did not do it for that reason but he will admit it was a perk.

“What do you think of this one?” You ask, pulling a silk dress from the rack.

Jungkook looks at it for a few seconds and nods, thinking it's a good contender.

You looked at the reflection in the mirror and smiled, liking what you see. The dress was a beautiful midnight blue. It had a plunging V neckline with necktie straps, a partially open back and a high slit that showed a hint of skin. You felt beautiful and sexy and you hoped that the dress caught the attention of a certain someone that was going to be at the gala.

You open the door to the dressing room and twirl the fabric around, showing the dress to Jungkook.

“Whoa noona, you look amazing.” Jungkook exclaims, eyes roaming your figure in the dress. You looked amazing in it, like the dress was made just for you.

“It’s not too much?” You ask, feeling the silky material in between your fingers.

“Not at all! It’s perfect. You’re perfect noona.” He smiles, making you blush at the compliment.

“You’re too sweet Kookie. Okay, I guess this is it. I’m sick of dress shopping.” You say, heading back to the dressing room.

“We have only been shopping for like an hour and a half.” He laughs, thinking it was funny that a girl did not enjoy spending hours shopping.

Once you had paid, Jungkook convinced you to go out for some drinks and dinner. You were hesitant, not really in the mood to socialize. Even though three months had passed, you were still hurting from your breakup with Jaehyun and you just wanted to go home, drink too much wine and pass out. Jungkook thought that the sound of that was ridiculous and convinced you to do otherwise. You went to a trendy place that had recently opened up and it was full of young people drinking and having a good time.

Jungkook was fun company and you were enjoying his conversation. It was really helping you keep your mind off of things but you were not keeping track of how many shots of soju you were shooting back. You had pent up frustration and sadness that you needed something to numb it.

“Whoa noona, are you okay?” Jungkook asks, eyeing your swaying form.

“Of course Kookie! I am doing grrrreat!” You say, imitating Tony the Tiger.

Jungkook laughs as he moves the soju bottle away from your grasp.

“Okay Noona, I think that I need to get you home. You are done for the night.” Jungkook pays for the bill and helps you up, offering to carry your garment bag and purse. He had your arm draped around his neck as he maneuvered you out of the restaurant and out to the uber he requested.

“Okay noona, just rest your head and don’t make sudden movements.” Jungkook Instructed, making sure you wouldn’t vomit in the car.

Jungkook struggled to help you out of the car and to your apartment. You were very dizzy and had to stop twice because you thought you were going to throw up. Getting into your apartment was an even bigger challenge because you could not punch in the right code. So after a few minutes of trying, you were actually able to open the door.

“Okay noona, I put the garment bag in your closet. Do you need anything before I leave?” Jungkook asks, making sure you were not going to fall over.

“No, thank you Kookie, you’re the best.” You say, pulling him in for a tight hug.

“Of course. I had fun with you today.” He says, giving you a small squeeze.

He was about to pull away when you pull him back in for a kiss, taking him by surprise. He did not react at first but soon enough he reciprocated the kiss. You pull him closer, if that was possible, and let your hands roam his chest. You lightly moaned into his mouth, hands reaching under his shirt to touch his skin. Your hands were starting to lift his shirt up when Jungkook finally realized the turn of events.

“Noona, noona hold on.” He murmurs against your lips, trying to stop your wandering hands.

“What? You don’t want this?” You ask, biting your lip and looking up at him from under your eye lashes.

“Noona, I think you are very attractive and trust me, I would love to go further with you but you are drunk. And I don’t think you are in a good place for this right now. I’ve noticed that something is wrong and if I were to ever… sleep with you, I’d want to make sure it was right.” He says, placing your hands by your sides and giving you a small reassuring smile.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to come on to you like that.” You say, tears welling up in your eyes.

“Hey, it’s okay. Don't cry, it’s okay. I’m not upset.” He says, taking you to the couch and gently sitting down next to you.

“I just, I went through a hard breakup and I am feeling very emotional. I don’t know what to do or how to feel. I’m sorry I roped you like this. I appreciate you so much Jungkook. I really do. And I roped you into all of this.” You say, the guilt creeping in from attacking Kook the way you did.

“Noona, it’s fine. If you ever need anyone to talk to, I’m here for you. We are friends.” He gives you a small smile, squeezing your shoulder. “Are you feeling better?” He asks, noticing that you looked more sober.

“Yeah, I do feel a lot better. Thank you for today, I really needed it.” You say, giving him another hug.

“Any time. I’m heading out. Have a fun time in New York. you’re going to be the belle of the ball.” He says with a cheesy wink, making you laugh.

After Jungkook left you decided to take a shower to clear your head and sober up. You needed to pack for your trip to New York because you did not want to be doing it last minute. The thought of seeing Jaehyun again made your heart beat uncontrollably in your chest, stomach churning uncomfortably. You knew it was going to be awkward but you were really hoping you could see him and speak to him. You were so tired from all the overthinking and drinking that you went straight to sleep without realizing it.

“You okay?” Namjoon asks, looking at your silent form next to him on the airplane.

“Yes, I’m fine.” You say, closing your eyes and trying to ignore the people still boarding the airplane. You wish you could close the door to your seats.

You were not in the best of moods but you didn’t want to project that to Namjoon. Your head was still whirring with chagrin at the thought of coming on to Jungkook the other night at your apartment. He had made it clear he was not mad and that it was not going to be weird between the two of you. And you also had the prospect of seeing Jaehyun again, which had your heart hammering and your stomach feeling nauseous. It was going to be a long flight and you did not want to be a bummer to Namjoon.

“I’m not stupid, you know? I know we have a professional relationship but I like to think we are friends too.” Namjoon gives you a pointed look, a clear indication that he was not going to drop it until you talked to him about it.

“We are friends Joon.” You sigh, looking at him between the seat divider. He raised his eyebrow, a silent sign for you to go on.

You took a deep breath before you delved into the story. Telling him about Chanyeol to that ending and then to Jaehyun and how you sabotaged that. You told him about Chanyeol being back in the picture, how he was Loey and why you were dreading this whole event. He was stunned at the story, of how you kept this from him all this time. If you really wanted to stay back from the gala, he would have considered it because he did not want you to be uncomfortable.

It felt good to talk about the whole thing with someone, a great pressure lifting from your chest. You had killed a good three hours talking to Namjoon about your situation, you had dinner and you were starting to feel tired. You were glad that you had Namjoon with you now that he knew about what happened. You just hoped that you could survive this thing.

“Okay so after dinner, the performances are going to start. The opening act will be Loey and Ara.” Wendy gives you the run down as she walks you to your table.

“Sounds great, let me know if there’s something else you need me to do. I have my phone with me.” You tell her, approaching the table. You look around and notice the slightly different people sitting at the table.

“What, um, is this the original table I was supposed to sit at?” You ask Wendy, remembering that you created the seating chart with her.

“Oh.” She starts hesitantly, going slightly pink. “Yeah it is, but Jaehyun asked to be moved to a different table.” She says, looking visibly uncomfortable.

“Oh!” You say, trying to ignore the pain in your gut that made you feel winded. You thank her for guiding you to your table and taking a seat, greeting the people in your table. Namjoon was sitting there so you were glad you were with someone that you felt comfortable with.

You tried to focus on the conversation taking place at the table and not on the fact that Jaehyun asked to change tables. You understood why he did it, but it didn’t hurt any less. You tried to be discreet while you looked around to see if you could find Jaehyun, but it was hard to locate him. You reprimand yourself for being so unprofessional, remembering that you were not here just as a guest but you also have responsibilities in this event.

After dinner you went to look for Wendy so you could get ready to begin the musical acts of the night.

“Everyone, we want to thank you for being here tonight. Your support and contributions to the opening of this pop up shop. This would not be possible to everyone’s contribution. So without further ado, Miss Wendy Son will be presenting the acts for tonight!” You say, passing the microphone over to Wendy as she steps up to the stage, a dazzling smile gracing her face.

“We all know everyone has been anxious for our opening act, so without any more delay, I present Ara and Loey!” She presents, the crowd roaring with applause.

The two of you made your way off the stage and made your way to your seats again, waiting for the show to start.

You glance around one more time before Loey and Ara hit the stage and you finally find what you are looking for. You see Jaehyun sitting at a table close to the stage, surrounded by people from his department plus Johnny and Mark. You made eye contact with him and you felt like your stomach dropped to your knees. He only held the eye contact for a few seconds before turning to the woman next to him and smiling at something she was saying. You recognize her from the PR team, which made sense that she was at the same table as him. You tried to normalize your breathing as you look at the stage again, the lights of the room dimming and the music blasting from a speaker.

All the performances were spectacular, Loey and Ara definitely were the highlight. They did a spectacular job with their duet, the crowd amazed when Loey was revealed. Ara also had a solo and there were other bands and artists performing. The performances lasted about forty five minutes total, leading to the final portion of the gala which was just dancing and drinks. You tried to make your way towards Jaehyun’s table but you were stopped by some of the investors, wanting to congratulate you on your collaboration of the gala and the opening of the pop up shop. You were trying to be a gracious host, but you noticed that Jaehyun was no longer seated at his table.

You knew it was very unprofessional to be looking around while having investors and members of the board speak to you, but you were looking through the crowd trying to find Jaehyun.

You were finally left alone and you decided to do a lap around the reception hall, hoping you can find the person you’re looking for and without interruption. You were trying to get by people without touching their sweaty bodies and without getting stopped again. After a futile attempt you make your way to the back table, wanting to get some punch because you were too thirsty from all the talking you did. You felt a finger poke you on the side and you whir around, anticipation clouding your mind.

“Hey, you look amazing.” Chanyeol says, dazzling smile highlighted by his new platinum hair.

“Hey, new hair?” You ask, not knowing what to say.

“Yeah I decided to do something different for the gala. You like?” He asks, twirling around and showing you a 360 degree view of his haircut and outfit. He had changed out of his performance outfit and into a black tux paired with a white shirt and a black bow tie.

He looked very good, you give him that, but you were not in the mood to engage in conversation with him.

“Yeah you look good.” You say with a smile, glancing behind him to see if Jaehyun was behind him. You did not want the night to end before you could at least greet him.

“There you are! We need to go with Namjoon, he wants to present us to a possible investor.” Wendy says as she approaches you, noticing that you were with Chanyeol after she was speaking a mile a minute.

“Oh, hello Mr. Park.” She greets with a bow, embarrassed at interrupting the conversation.

“Hi miss Son, no worries. I know you are busy ladies. I’ll leave you to it. I guess I should look for Ara and make sure she is okay.” Chanyeol says, bowing once before leaving.

You follow Wendy to where Namjoon was, passing many people along the way and greeting them with smiles and hellos. You caught a glimpse of Jaehyun with a group from the HR department. He looked gorgeous with his charcoal grey suit, white shirt and dark red bow tie. You once again made eye contact with him, but it was very short since you had to keep moving to keep up with Wendy and not lose her in the mass of people.

It was about an hour later when you were finally free. You were walking with intent even though your feet were screaming. You frantically looked around the hall, hoping to find Jaehyun. You noticed Mark and Johnny hanging out by a wall, speaking to each other. You march towards them hoping that they know where he is.

“Hey guys, how are you?” You ask, approaching the dapper young men.

“Noona! You look so awesome!” Mark says, giving you a hug.

“Thanks Mark.” You smile, ruffling the boys hair.

“You did an incredible job! But you have been very busy, I noticed that you were speaking to people non stop all night.” Johnny says, giving you a hug as well.

“Yeah it’s been a pretty crazy night. Hey, have you seen Jaehyun by chance?” You ask, feeling bad for cutting the conversation short, but you really wanted to find him.

Johnny and Mark shared a look, something made you feel like it wasn’t a good sign.

“Yeah he left about a half hour ago.” Johnny says awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Oh, I see. Well, he must be tired too, he also played a big role in all of this.” You say, trying to mask the disappointment in your voice.

“Yeah he was. Well we are heading out too. Have a good night and a safe flight back to Seoul.” Johnny says, hugging you.

“We are going to come visit you, okay?” Mark says, giving you a reassuring hug.

“Yes please, I really want you guys to come.” You say with a smile, bidding them goodbye.

You stand where they left you, mind blank and eyes not focusing on anything. You could not believe that he was gone. Just like that. So this was it. No chance of speaking to him again. You did not know when you were going to see him again and you were too big of a coward to call him. Besides, what you wanted to say was better if you did it in person and not over the phone. You felt defeated and thought it was time to go to your hotel so you could take a shower and drink all the contents of the mini bar. You were so busy tonight you didn’t even get a chance to fully enjoy yourself and have at least one drink.

You found Namjoon and told him you were going to head over to the hotel, deciding that it was time to call it a night.

You were waiting for your town car to come to the front of the building when you hear someone calling your name.

“Hey! I was trying to get your attention since before you left the building. Did you not hear me?” Chanyeol asks as he jogs up to you, breath visible in the cold night.

“Oh, sorry, I did not hear you.” You say, looking out for your car.

“Are you crying?” He asks, peering at your face.

“No.” You say, not realizing you had been crying, a few stray tears running down your face.

“Uh, okay. Well I sort of wanted to get a dance with you.” Chanyeol tries, getting closer to you and placing a hand on your arm.

“Chanyeol, I’m not in the mood right now. I just want to go to my hotel, I’m exhausted.” You say, biting your lip in an effort to hold your tears in.

“Hey, hey look at me.” He says gently, lifting your face to look at him. “Are you okay?” He asks again, emphasizing the ‘okay’.

You feel your lip quivering and shake your head no, tears finally overflowing.

He hugs you into his chest, feeling your body shake in his hold. You cry into his shirt, hoping that you would not stain it.

Chanyeol held you and felt his heart squeeze; he did not know why you were crying but he hated seeing you like this. All he wanted to do from now on is be there for you, whenever you wanted or needed him, he would be there. Just like he always should have.

I just got home from the Frozen 2 advanced screening at Disney Studios (as pictured above, got more swag than I thought I would). Gonna give my immediate thoughts and comments, with a more coherent post at a later date. Obviously, if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t read below:

WARNING! MAJOR FROZEN 2 SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!

-I’ve been listening to “Show Yourself” non stop since the soundtrack came out and it was gorgeous seeing the accompanying animation. The song starts as Elsa is riding Nokk towards Ahtohallan and continues as she makes her way through the cave. What was also unexpected for me is that she transforms into her “final form” at the end of the song, so she’s wearing that outfit throughout a good portion of the movie, not just the epilogue, so I hope that means there will be more merchandise for it!

-After that, she wanders through Ahtohallan which is made up of moving “sculptures” made of snow/ice that show memories: she sees some of herself and Anna when they were young playing with Olaf, various people in Arendelle, and of Iduna and Agnarr (I believe Iduna was saying something about being afraid to reveal what she really is, a Northuldra). Some funny parts, Elsa walks by a memory of herself at the end of “Let It Go” and makes a face like “yeah, I was silly back then” XD But the best part was when she walks by a scene of Anna and Hans about to dance at the coronation. She gives it a cold look and then breaks the Hans sculpture, lol.

-The important memory she finds is that King Runeard was using the dam against the Northuldra - something about cutting off their resources so they’d be forced to trade with Arendelle, or something like that, I don’t remember exactly. A poignant part was when Elsa first sees the memory of Runeard and he’s talking about how he hates and doesn’t trust anyone who uses magic, to which she says angrily that his fear is blinding him. And again, Elsa is wearing her final outfit during all this, so there was so much time to ogle it XD

-The “gone too far” part is when she follows the memory of Runeard as it fades down into a deep abyss. He was talking about something suspicious regarding the Northuldra, so she decided to jump down into the depths to find out even though she remembers the song’s warning. She sees that Runeard attacked (and likely killed) the Northuldra leader. She begins freezing as she’s down there and before she gets completely frozen, she sends a burst of magic up above, calling out to Anna (and the fact that Elsa “dies” here is proof that she’s not immortal even after becoming the fifth spirit). Her magic reaches Anna and Olaf in the cave and shows them what happened. They realize they have to destroy the dam but Olaf starts to “flurry” - pieces of snowflakes peel off him and drift away, and he tells Anna that Elsa isn’t okay. Anna pulls Olaf into her lap and holds him there as he fades away. He doesn’t melt exactly and we don’t see the full process: we see his flurries gently flow out of the cave and land in a pile somewhere else. Bruhni watches sadly from a ledge below.

-The saddest thing to me was that, after the aforementioned scene of Olaf’s “death,” the scene fades to black, then opens up again overlooking the same cave but it looks like a different time of day, then cuts to Anna crying inside - so she was literally crying alone in the cave for what could have been hours! I thought right after Olaf melts is when she’d start singing The Next Right Thing, but she spends who knows how long grieving. That is just too sad 8_8 Before she starts singing, she says “Olaf...Elsa...what do I do?” My heart shattered then. Another part that shattered it more was when Anna confronts Matthias and the soldiers as they try to prevent her from approaching the dam. When they ask her why it has to be destroyed, she tells them and says “My sister gave her life for the truth, we can’t lose anyone else.”

-Oh my gosh, the reunion at the end was my favorite part and so sweet~ After the mist around the forest fades, Anna and Kristoff approach the pillars with Anna looking like she’s ready to burst into tears...until some snow crystals flutter around her and then behind to where the shore is (not sure if it’s the shore of the Dark Sea since it’s daylight at this time, or it could just be a nearby beach). She sees Elsa riding Nokk - she starts running toward her but then stops because she’s still not sure it’s really Elsa. When Elsa says her name and holds out her arms, she runs to her and they share a beautiful hug (while Anna is sobbing). Honestly I can’t remember exactly what was said because I was an emotional wreck at that point, but Elsa tells Anna that she’s the fifth spirit, that Anna saved her, and that the bridge has two sides: herself here and Anna in Arendelle, and they’d fix the past wrongs together. And I also loved the fact that Kristoff comes over and is relieved that Elsa’s okay: he says “Elsa, you’re alright!” and gives her a hug, then (humorously) says “ you look different...did you cut your hair?” She also gives Sven a little pet. I’m so glad they included this part as it shows that Kristoff doesn’t just see Elsa as a cockblock to Anna, lol. Kristoff proposes to Anna here as well (Sven tears up a little seeing it XD)

-As for Olaf’s revival, Elsa tells Anna “I have a question for you” “What is it?” “Do you want to build a snowman?” She then concentrates and we see the pile of Olaf’s “flurries” come flying down from the cave to become Olaf again. Elsa says it’s a good thing water has memory, implying that he still remembers everything despite being “resurrected.” The epilogue just had so many cute moments - Anna and Elsa share another hug as they walk back to the stone pillars, Elsa wipes away a tear on Anna’s face, they put there foreheads together at one point when they’re talking, Elsa takes Anna’s hand and leads her to one of the now tamed earth giants and they both gently touch his giant nose, and Frohana share a warm hug. I cannot wait to get HD screenshots of it all!

-And for Anna’s coronation? To be honest, it didn’t seem like a coronation to me - it literally just had Kai announcing Anna as she walks outside (onto a stage I think? Don’t remember exactly) but right after that she’s out in the streets with Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, who are dressed up. So it must have been some kind of event, but wouldn’t the coronation have a party in the castle and a ceremony, like Elsa had? We then see Matthias outside with another Arendelle citizen (he’s discovering the new technology of photograph, lol) - wouldn’t they be part of the ceremony if there was a coronation, and not just out in the streets doing whatever. It just didn’t seem like a major event was happening, I’ll have to see the movie again. Regardless, they reveal statues of young Iduna and Agnarr (they should have had statues of Anna and Elsa too!) and Anna notices Gale flying about and asks if he/she (does Gale have a gender?) to deliver a letter to Elsa. Gale carries it over to the forest and Elsa reads it. As we know, it’s a reminder about charades. Anna ends the letter saying “I love you” to which Elsa says “I love you too, sis” (that’s where this line that we heard in one of the teasers came from - pretty crazy they’d use a line from the very end of the movie, knowing we wouldn’t figure it out!)

-I mostly talked about the ending here but I’ll say a few things that stood out in the rest of the movie to me: Some Things Never Change was adorable. Anna and Elsa share a sweet hug at the end, during the “holding on tight to you” lines. And I absolutely cracked up during Kristoff’s verse when he’s doing Sven’s voice and telling him about getting down on one knee with the ring - some nearby townspeople see him and it looks like he’s proposing to Sven and they get the most awkward looks on their faces XD The scene in their parents’ ship was really emotional: Anna and Elsa clinging to each other with tears in their eyes as they see the memory of their parents take shape...my heart was breaking. The ensuing scene where Elsa’s overcome with guilt and runs outside with Anna telling her she’s not responsible for their actions, and she believes in her more than anything, etc., More was said between them here and I’m having trouble remembering it exactly but it was deep.

-Oh, and the post-credits scene was hilarious: it’s Olaf telling the events of the story to Marshmallow and the Snowgies (Frozen Fever is canon!) just like he does earlier when he describes the first Frozen to Matthias and the others (”it began with two sisters...”) The funniest part was his dramatizing lines of the latter part of the story - ”Elsa is dead,” “Olaf is dead,” “Anna’s crying alone” - it’s hard to describe, it’s funnier when you see it.

Later I’ll write a post with more coherent thoughts about the movie itself and not just a spoiler list - I might do that soon or wait until I see it again this weekend. But I will say that I loved it - having seen it for myself, I truly believe there’s no “tragic separation” that we’ve been fearing. There’s really nothing bittersweet about it, nothing like Anna saying “will I ever see you again?” because it’s a given that they can still be a family and nothing is keeping them from seeing each other whenever they want. At this point, it’s not that I dislike the ending as it is “I want to see what happens next!” It left me even hungrier for more Frozen, like a short reassuring us that they’re still a family by having another charades scene or something like that. Or another movie is always welcome! There was also some lore/plot-wise things I’m a little confused about, but that’ll be for another post. It’s 1am here and I need to decide if I can sleep or not, lol. If you have any questions, please send them via direct message. The shock of finally seeing this movie after six years of pining hasn’t sunk in yet but it will soon.

Um! Kliego, and.... your favourite other TUA ship (lawd, I'm suddenly hoping that you ship kliego lmaooo, sorry if you don't :'))

Hah, it’s fine! I’m into pretty much every single Hargreeves ship to some extent. Klaus/Diego* is not super high on my list to be honest, but I’m definitely still into it overall! I think it’s just fandom saturation more than anything that puts it lower down, because I do think the dynamic could be of interest.

* (I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I cannot use smushnames. I don’t begrudge anyone else use of them, they don’t bug me *that* much, but typing them feels so awkward.)

Choosing a favorite is honestly harder because I just want to ship all of them but I will... I dunno. Maybe RNG stuff I’ve written lately to pick. XD

Gonna cut since I’m already rambling before I even put in the questions, whoops.

(Also, two-days-later A: Hi I fell asleep in the middle of this and then barely touched my computer yesterday. Sorry!)

Klaus/Diego:

when of if I started shipping it: I walked out of my first viewing singing the song of my people at every single combination possible (Not even walked out, I watched over several days, it only took the first. not even half a season.) (The song of my people is, of course, I Ship It by Not Literally.)

my thoughts: Again, it’s not my #1 ship for the show, but I definitely could see it. I like that, of all the possible combos that could have hung out during the time between leaving home and the show, they seem to have the least amount of active vitriol and bitterness. It opens up interesting windows for that time period, as well as means it’s among the ships that need the least foundation work to get to somewhere decent afterwards. It makes it an interesting counterpart to some of the more actively difficult combinations, which I like especially in a poly context (because I am me and everything happens in a poly context).

What makes me happy about them: Again, the possibilities during the time gaps! And the general sense of... friendliness? It does feel like they’d have a lot less to get over than a lot of the pairs and I like it. (granted I think Klaus in general, while he has plenty of issues, seems to have less of them with his siblings specifically than most, so that’s playing into it, but I also see Diego as probably the one with the most after Vanya, so that’s interesting in and of itself.)

What makes me sad about them: I’m just sad for all these children growing up in their shitty, shitty childhood. And by sad I mean I want to read a lot of things that make me want to cry. Either as children but also I’m down for adults unwillingly letting the conversation drag around to their trauma too.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: Klaus is snarkier, more clever, and a lot stronger, mentally and physically, than I feel like a lot of fic gives him credit for. I think that goes for a lot of fic in this fandom, but since it’s one of the biggest ships and he’s in it, I feel like it shows up a lot for K/D. I’m not a big fan of them being really close as kids, either, which comes up a lot; my headcanon for Diego being pretty distant from all his siblings is strong enough that it takes a lot of set-up for me to accept anything else. (Awkwardly getting close in late teens as both of their ‘get me the fuck out of here’ drives get stronger and stronger is easier for me to see than close-as-kids.)

things I look for in fanfic: Tropes! The writers for this ship give me all the tropes. I want to marinate in it. I’m also kind of into general ‘it was casual, then whoops, I caught feelings, now what??????’ for them, because I could see it. Other than that, like... look, if it looks like it’s interestingly written or has an interesting concept, I will read it. I’m not super picky in this fandom, if it’s Hargreeves-centric and doesn’t bitch at shippers in the tags I’m in to at least give it a try.

My kinks: Uhhhh. Hmmm. I haven’t actually read a lot of kink fic for this ship or considered it, but I feel like I want mutual sadism/masochism.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Honestly my hope is for most of the characters to end up without another major romantic plot. I’m here for canon Allison/Luther but hoping the rest of them just... don’t. Especially since I don’t see them going for two sibling ships and that’s really all I’d want to see. If not that, both of them with new characters would be my preference, because there’s no one actually in the show I’d be down for. Maybe if they somehow warp the timelines around enough to bring Patch back, but even then, eh, just let me have family stuff.

My happily ever after for them: In general as characters, my ideal endgame for both characters is in healthier places than their start point, still clearly working out their shit, and on good terms as a family. As a ship: I feel like both of them would get bored eventually by any kind of ‘and then they went and got a happy domestic place to live and nothing exciting ever happened again’, even if it might be nice for a little while, so... active, somehow. Either they end up somehow finding some kind of active hobby to screw around with together, and enjoy flirting with each other while they do it, or like, I don’t know, get bored one day and accidentally buy a business just to have something to do and find they get weirdly invested in running it. (Maybe, like, a restuarant or something else that’s really high-stress. Or maybe the gym Diego boxes at goes for sale and he doesn’t like the look of the most likely potential buyer and buys it himself before he realizes he has no idea how to run something and has to slink back home and let Klaus laugh at him. Shit, I want that fic now.)

who is the big spoon/little spoon: This assumes either one of them are capable of sleeping totally still which honestly I don’t see. They both seem like the kind of people who flip around in their sleep and wake up five times a night. So, they both take it in turns and also sometimes just end up in weird sprawled positions, either on top of each other or really far from each other.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Honestly, I feel like joking around and talking together would probably be it. I could see road trips, too.

Uhhhh I RNG’d things I’ve written lately and I got Ben/Allison. Nobody else writes that but it’s the tiny ship of my heart so I’m gonna do it anyway. I’m sorry, my random teeny ships are what you sign up for when I get to choose. >>

when of if I started shipping it: On like my third rewatch Allison’s little “I miss him” while she’s watching the cameras burned itself into my brain and I have wanted more for the two of them ever since.

my thoughts: I just! Look it’s pretty much canon that everyone loved Ben, but something about his snarky-but-because-I-want-you-to-do-better-and-I’ve-given-up commentary with Klaus and Allison’s alternating defensive and concerned mode -- I just want them to team up together to despair everyone else’s problems and try to figure out how to help (and often failing; I feel like in a general sense, they’re both better at pointing out the problems than actually fixing them on their own). And I feel like they both get prickly in ways the other would understand and be able to deal with easier than most of the family.

What makes me happy about them: I feel like this just blends into the thoughts above. I love the potential for how they might interact, and the potential for them to call out each other’s shit (and probably everyone else’s).

What makes me sad about them: Everything about Ben in canon is sad! Even the happy things are sad!

things done in fanfic that annoys me: There are exactly two fics for this pairing and one is me and one is PWP smut, which just isn’t super my thing. So uh. there needs to be fic to annoy me. Please write fic specifically to annoy me, oh no, don’t throw me into that briar patch. (That said, in general, I feel like both of them get their sharper points filed down a lot in fic. They both have their pointed sarcasm and their moments of outright lashing out, and I want to see more fic deal with that.)

things I look for in fanfic: Again, I say, please let fic exist. Also, I badly want a proper AU of Ben surviving and running off to Hollywood with Allison. I did not do it justice in my tiny thing.

My kinks: I want switchy powerplay with an emphasis on play -- competitiveness and teasing and wrestling. Also younger or AU Allison who hasn’t yet tried not to use her rumors for everything not trusting anyone but Ben enough to gag her, because her voice is her best weapon.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Please please give me an Allison/Luther endgame. Ben I have no feelings on -- I still stand by not wanting any other romantic subplots, really -- but I am rooting for Allison/Luther in canon no matter how many others I ship them with.

My happily ever after for them: Possible in canon, as characters: Allison figures out how to balance ‘not using her rumors at all’ and ‘rumoring everything always’; Ben gets brought back to life and gets to be happy. As a ship: Honestly, connected to the family and both doing their own, fulfilling, non-superheroy things. Allison can act and Ben can get a chance to figure out what he wants to do, because I feel like even if he’d survived that would’ve been hard for him.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Especially if we’re going with some semblance of canon and Ben’s died and come back, he’s the little spoon, because being wrapped up in someone else is comforting. But also just any kind of cuddling is welcome.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Judging everyone. No, I kid. Sharing and discussing books and movies, maybe. Ben passes along books he liked* and they watch movies together and Allison dissects acting choices and they both debate themes and ending of more ambiguous stories. djafliejaflaeijfaleijfvh finally done. That took way to long. But yeah, here's part 2 of my Skele-Comparing-Series I think xD Now it's all about Neye and Shard! About their Backstory: The original Idea of Neye came through the Game "Night in the Woods". That's why he had a baseball-bat and the Catears lol. His name also comes from that Origin. Neye is short for "Nightmare" and "Eye" xD Shortly after I created Shard and the Game "Yume Nikki" gave me some ideas for their Backstory. Basically, Shard was a Sleepwalker. In his Dreams lived Neye, basically fighting nightmare creatures. One night however, Neye got chased by a monster and during that Chasing, Shard started sleepwalking. Neye came to a cliff and had no other way than jumping. At the same time, Shard jumped from the roof of his house. During that Jump, Neye wanted to use teleportation to prevent himself of crashing on the ground. Shard, in the real world, did the same. And somehow, both of them teleported and switched places. Neye fell out of the Dreamworld and Shard got locked up in his own Dreams. In the Real world now, Neye was able to see Dreamcreatues and structures that others couldn't see. And it kinda drived him crazy, since he wasn't really able anymore to tell what was a dream and what was reality. And Shard was just visable if Neye stands in front of a mirror. Later, I redesigned them two to fit them into the RP. I made 2 people to 3. Inspiration to their Backstory comes from the Movie "Split". This Backstory tells about the Boy Jonathan that got physically and mentally abused by his father. That caused his mind to split into 3 parts. Neye, Shard and Jonathan. After that Mind-Split, Jonathan killed his own father and run away from home. Neye took then control over the body and locked Jonathan deep into the mind, together with the Memories from what happend to protect the third one, Shard, from them. Shard was the innocent part of the former Jonathans Mind. He takes control over the body most of the time. He switches with Neye however in a case of Danger. While Neye blocks all the memories of what happend from Shard, he was the one getting all the nightmares while they are sleeping and it wasn't rare, that he wokes up crying. He never dared to tell Shard about it however. Some time later tho, Jonathan was able to break through his prision. He locked Neye and Shard up instead and took control over the body. Trying to kill a Bully, but since the Ecca Helena interfered, nobody got killed. Helena chased Jonathans Part of the Soul out of the Body and Neye and Shards Souls got seperated, making both two individual People with an own Body. So while Neye and Shard was now able to grow up without problems, Jonathan stayed behind as a Ghost, forced to watch them being happy while he wasn't able to. Years passed by and Neye and Shard grew up. Neye became a Sports-Teacher in his old School while Shard worked for his Dad in his Restaurant. Neye fell in Love with Sarina and became a daughter later on. Shard met Sean one day in the restaurant. And since he witnessed him trying to do his job as an assassin, he kidnapped Shard for a short while. But he let him go a few hours later again with some mixed feelings left inside of Shard. It wasn't the last time, the two met however. They eventually started dating and became a couple. However, Shards Mother had huge problems with this relationship since she didn't had good feelings about Sean. Then there was also the time, that Shard got kidnapped again, this time however from a group of vampires. Which ended up turning him into a Vampire as well. Shard had to fight a lot with his new lifestyle but with the help of his friends and family he was able to keep having a quite normal life. And then there's Shiron. Appart from the Twins, Shiron wasn't related to them at all. He was a quite normal boy at first, but he had necromantic abilities. Being able to see ghosts and spirits. But since nobody wanted to believe him, he got brought into a special hospital to "treat" his problems. Which basically end up killing him. With the help of Dark magic tho Jonathans Soulpart got pulled into that Body. Jonathans and Shirons Memories mixed together while this happend and he turned into a Vampire like Monster that wants nothing more than blood. He especially started to Attack Neye and Shard since Jonathans Memories and hate caused him from doing that. However, his Soul got cleaned from the Darkness through the Help of the Witch Elain. Yeah, that was basically everything I think xD Maybe I confused some stuff but yeah xD Hope you guys like it!

I am on my phone, it took me like FOREVER to type that XD but thank you sister, I had a lot of fun answering these questions !

1. what is your favorite autumn scent?

The smell of fallen leaves, the smell of cold days to come.

2. would you rather go through a corn maze or go pumpkin picking?

Pumpkin picking, I've never done that ! 🎃

3. what is your favorite halloween candy ?

I don't know if it's a very Halloween candy and I don't know the English word for that but Pommes d'amour are a favorite of mine. I don't like very sugary stuff anymore but anything with caramel in it will make me happy.

4. favorite autumn holiday?

As if you don't know which one ! XD it's not a formal holiday but Samhain for sure.

5. rainy,foggy autumn days or cold,sunny autumn days?

I'll take a whole season of rainy,foggy days over any sunny summer day. Anytime. I love the winter sun though.

6. favorite horror movie to watch on halloween?

I am not a huge horror movie fan, I don't like modern horror. I find it lazy and relying on jump scare. but I like stuff with a creepy vibe and specific ambiance. Most of the time I don't watch movies on halloween, but i'd pick a classic like some Tod Browning's Dracula !

7. do you like raking leaves?

Yes but I am so clumsy believe me you don't want to be near me if I am yielding a rake !

8. do you have any special autumn traditions? what are they?

I put decorations in my flat and make space for a second small altar, season themed. I pour a glass of whiskey, put it there with a though for dead relatives. (It was my late grandfather favorite drink, as well as wine... Did someone in the background say ''social drinking problem'' ?)

9. do you like carving pumpkins?

I've never done that, I'd like to try someday.

My everyday shoes : Combat boots. But why not both ?

Semi-dry apple cider - or sweet cider if I drink it while eating a cake or a crepe with it because 4 heures is the most important meal in my day (I know it's not autumn specific, I just love cider !). But it's such a comforting drink after a stroll in the forest or along the coast on a windy day ! Something special I like to prepare in autumn is hot apple juice with spices in it !

13. do you like pumpkin spice flavored things ?

I do not like pumpkin spice flavored things... I have pumpkin spice flavor running in my blood !

14. favorite type of pie ?

Apple pie or tarte bourdaloue

15. do you have any special halloween traditions? what are they?

I put Halloween themed decorations a few weeks before and launch my Gothic themed playlist, or a Type O Negative album. If there is a party I get ready while listening to it (more like 50% getting ready, 50% awkward dancing). If I have nothing planned I stay home (sometimes in my best outfit or most dramatic dresses even if I am alone because why not ?), have a nice cup of cider and read creepy books : Poppy Z Brite, Edgar Allan Poe, or I go full Requiem Knight Vampire and re-read my comics collection (first edition, the apple of my eyes !)

16. halloween parties or giving out candy to trick or treaters?

Both but Halloween parties if my friends are organizing something.

Campfires.

18. describe your ideal autumn day?

Foggy morning. A long walk in the afternoon and a hot drink once I am back home and then reading or writing curled up in a soft plaid with music in the background while a good meal is simmering.

Wait, is non alcoholic apple cider a real common thing, like sparkling apple juice, but different ? Is that like non alcoholic beer ? I am so confused ! I just discovered another world.

21. what is your go to autumn outfit(s) ?

I can put my favorite clothes again without dying because of a heatstroke : velvet dresses and light jackets.

My favorite one consists in a velvet black dress with a pointy white collar, a bow and long flared sleeves, lace pair of tighs and boots. If it's a bit cold I'll put a short jacket or cape on it, or the Holy Silver Perfecto.

22. do you wear scarves?

Yes. My favorite ones are my Racenclaw scarf when it's really cold and a black and white shawl with a skull pattern. It's worn out as hell but my father bought it for me at a motorcycle exhibition so it's linked with a good memory !

23. describe your dream autumn date ?

If someone is okay with the idea of spending time with me during my typical ''ideal autumn day'', it's my ideal autumn date ! Nothing fancy ! But for something more ''special'', a long stroll, a stop at a bookstore or record shop, then sharing a snack in a cozy tearoom or sipping a good beer in a pub !

24. scary stories around a camp fire or getting lost in a corn maze with someone ?

Both sound good. I have plenty of true crime/serial killer facts to take part in that ! But on the other hand I can be a scaredy cat plus, above all, I have a wild imagination and after hearing/telling scary stories I'll be startled by the tiniest noise (with the bonus high-pitched-cry). My street cred' won't survive it ! I mean, the corn maze can also be creepy but not in the same way (plus I guess interesting things can happen in there if you go with a special someone 😏).

25. black cats or bats?

Did I make you chose between chocolate and litterature ?! WHY ARE YOU TEARING ME APPART LIKE THAT ?!

...Lilith is a black cat so if I really must choose I'll say black cats. But I have love for all the cats in the world. And every single bat has my support.

26. do you decorate for autumn? what is it like?

I like to decorate. I put candles and soft lights everywhere, pick-up fallen leaves and pine cones I find pretty and put that where I can. Also, kitschy Halloween decor and a lot of pumpkin shaped stuff !

The corvid in me yells ''Yes. Give me all the pretty/shiny/odd rocks !''

30. what was your favorite autumn activity as a kid?

I grew up in a French oversea territory so the seasons were not the same. There is no ''autumn'' there ! My favorite memories from that time of the year are linked with Halloween when I was celebrating it (I was a loner and still am so I was also really happy when I just read stories from my most frightening books alone in my bedroom) : finding a good costume idea, finding stuff to make it real, trick or treating with friends and telling scary stories while eating our loot.

(Oh gosh, I want to do Maurice for you, but I haven’t finished the book yet and I’ve been holding off on rewatching the movie until I’m done with the book. -.-;;; I will try to remember to come back to that one, though!)

Les Miserables

How I first got into it:

I first saw the musical when I was pretty young. Like... I’m pretty sure I saw Colm Wilkinson as Valjean on Broadway. I saw it again with French Club in 7th grade and again when my sister had an exchange student from France. This was all during the initial Broadway run. I remember liking it but not LIKING it. There was too much time spent on the Cosette x Marius romance, I thought, and that bored me to tears (don’t know if that was because I was just too young or because I was a bb aro/ace in the making, but either way, they could have cut that whole subplot and I wouldn’t have missed it). Cue 25 years later when the 2012 movie came out... and I was GONE. I don’t know why, and there was actually a several month lag between the movie and when I properly got into the fandom, but THAT WAS ALL SHE WROTE AND I NEVER LOOKED BACK. XD

And this got very, VERY long, so the rest is going under a cut. ;D

And Vittorio is pretty good with a camera. But in between those photos there will be something like 10 random details, like hands, or the sun on the hair. Volio finds them even more pleasing than his aesthetic. (He tries to do it for Vittorio and fails. Drastically.)

A bit complicated when his boyfriend decides his head is the perfect spot to rest his chin for the next couple of hours.

who initiates the facetime calls whenever they’re separatedOut of necessity, Vittorio. First, phone calls are pretty much useless, being mute and all, second… Well, he would miss Benvolio so much. (Just like he facetime call Tybalt every evening. They’re like brothers and they have this habit of telling each other of their day)

He grew up more in the Capulet household than in his own house, he basically grew up a Capulet, and Capulets don’t do things easily. If he gets angry (it rarely happens but sometimes it does) he explodes and everyone else must be very careful of where they stand. The first time Benvolio was so shocked he stared at the door for five minutes before breaking down because he was pretty sure they just broke up after being together for like one month.

who stays up way too late binge-watching their favorite showsBenvolio. All while Vittorio falls asleep and he has to re-watch the episodes the next time. (Benvolio probably even finish a season in a day if it’s a particular good show)

Ben would ask him if he wants a hug sometimes, because he looks a bit on the edge. He would nod and proceed to melt in his arms.

TROS Review

Things I liked, things I didn’t like...and all the things in between.

- Kylo’s interest piqued when Palpatine said he could give him “everything”. if that hadn’t included rey, he would’ve been like “peace” but instead was all “aight ima head out and find rey.” lol

-Knights of Ren walking together like if they’re about to drop a “Backstreet’s back, alright!” cover :P

- “Knight of Ren. Goals.” XD Loved that stormtrooper.

- Kylo was hawt in that board meeting. Kylo/Adam is just hawt in general.

- My boy practically daring Hux to say shit about his helmet. XD

- Ren throwing that FO officer up to the ceiling.

- Rey’s training was cool

- Kylo and Rey were meditating right around the same time. Couple’s goals!

- The shared vision of the past/future! How does Rey not know they’re soulmates by this point?

- Very nice to see Leia again as well as how her relationship with Rey has progressed.

- Some...almost all of the humor in this movie was lackluster, including Poe and Rey’s frustrated banter with each other over the flaming falcon/BB-8 which I think was meant to be funny, but they talked over each other so much that sometimes you hardly understand them and just end up frustrated with both of them.

- So it seems like Finn might still have feelings for Rey. Not really sure how I feel about that. At one point, he says he wants to tell her something but wants to tell her alone. He never gets to. I assume it was to confess his feelings.

- XD Liiittle bit of Stormpilot. Haha Poe was so jealous. “What? You want to tell her when Poe isn’t around?”

- Reylo’s first force bond vision in over a year! Kylo just sounds so hawt speaking to her through his voice modulator.

- “I offered you my hand once before.” SOUNDS STRAIGHT FROM A VICTORIAN DRAMA PPL.

- “You wanted to take my hand back then so why didn’t you?” “You didn’t kill me back then? Why didn’t YOU?”

“You can’t keep running from me, Rey. I will turn you to the dark side and we’ll rule together. The next time I offer my hand, you’ll take it. ” “We’ll see.” -snatches Rey’s necklace off her neck- Kylo’s UST was showing in this scene.

- Sorry, I’m dumb but I found that scene hawt lol reminded me of that one scene from Phantom of the Opera (2004 movie).

- Rey force healing the desert serpent. I love her...but that was a very Mary Sue moment.

- Kylo walking unscathed like a boss out of the wreckage of his Silencer.

- The power struggle they both had over the FO ship.

- The longing on Kylo’s face as he watches Rey walk away. He sees the anguish on her face at the thought of losing Chewy and he just LETS HER GO. They’re enemies and he just lets her walk away. This man is so in love with her.

- Their force fight in Ren’s quarters/Kijimi.

- “I know where she’s at now. She was in my quarters.” :D Why do I feel like it made him a little happy to know she was in his private area/bedroom?

- Kylo takes off his helmet AGAIN just for Rey. Offers his hand to her again and asks her to join him.

- The Lando/Zorii/Jannah/Pryde cameos were alright but brought little to the story honestly.

- Ok...everyone kept saying that Finn was mad horny/flirting with everyone in this movie. LMAO Were we watching the same movie? Cuz he literally never flirts with anyone in this movie. Not once. Not even Jannah. They have a brief “moment” when they realize they’re both stormtroopers who deserted but I wasn’t getting romantic vibes or anything. They were just kindred spirits.

- Darth Rey was cool. Not sure why she had fangs briefly lol. Althought brief, the fight Rey had against Darth Rey was cool.

- Rey realizing that Kylo has arrived when he picks up the wayfinder she accidentally dropped.

- “The only way you’re going to Exogol is if it’s with me.” Baes stay together <3

- Proceeds to crush the wayfinder with his bare hand and brute strength. Why is everything about this man so hawt? XD I know I’m crazy! The thirst is real loool

- Kylo does some mad dodging in this scene

- Water fight was good

- Didn’t like that she stabbed him but made up for it by force healing him.

- “I did want to take your hand back then. Ben’s hand.”

- His face upon realization that she really does want him

- So he could’ve turned sooner if she had admitted she’s in love with Ben?

- That shot of Ben on the Death Star by himself with his knee bent looking like a lonely prince.

- Kylo’s talk with Han and how it mirrored their last talk.

- He calls him dad!

- The audience cheered when Kylo threw his lightsaber into the sea! XD

- Ppl weren’t lying when they said some stuff didn’t make sense in this movie. Maybe Rey’s mom had been a nobody but her dad certainly wasn’t. And why did they skip over the part we all clearly heard in the last movie about Rey being “sold for drinking money.”

- Jodie Comer as Rey’s mom! Love it! Great resemblance!

- Ben Solo gunning it with a blaster on his way to save his space bae!

- When I say Adam looks so good in this movie, I’m not kidding! He somehow looks even younger in this movie, including his scenes as Ben Solo!

- Loved the part of course the lightsaber trick Reylo did through the force dyad.

- Rey laying on the ground, weakly calling out to the force “be with me...” over and over again

- The audience cheered when Ben’s hand appeared at the edge of the ravine!

- The way he limps/drags himself over to Rey’s dead body. ;( I could hear him breathe Rey’s name quickly. And how he gently cradles her body. His hand so soft on her neck. Him glancing around for help before holding her tightly against his body. I teared up so much watching Adam in this scene. He’s such a phenomenal actor!

- The Reylo kiss! I always knew Rey would kiss him first. The way he throws his arm around her instantly. A group of Reylo girls cheered at this part! His beautiful grin and chuckle!

- The way the audience just gasped as they watch him lie back and fade away. :/

- He did finish what Darth Vader started. He gave his life for the woman he loved and could not live without. That kiss was probably the happiest moment of his life.

- Lame how we get little of Rey’s reaction and how instantly switches to party mode. -___-

- Not even one last force ghost moment between Kylo and Rey. They couldn’t even give us THAT.

Rating: 7/10

Was not a super amazing film. The pacing was off, so was some of the dialogue and that ending was atrocious. Bring Ben Solo back, Disney! #BenSoloDeservedBetter

BONUS: XD On a side note, I went to watch CATS with my friend to try to cheer up after TROS. There’s something wrong with my crazy ass cuz I see Reylo in everything including this movie. :P You guessed it. The black and white cat (named Victoria and Mistoffeles). There’s one scene where they nuzzle and my friend (who is an anti-reylo btw) out of now where says “I would like Kylo and Rey together if they nuzzled like that.” Lmao I was like wut XD

I thought about Ben Solo a lot on the way home. I’m thinking someday if I have a son I’ll name him Ben as a way to honor him. When I got home, I just felt so numb. I couldn’t even cross the threshold. I just stayed outside for a few moments. I just felt so hopeless, especially when I saw I couldn’t see any stars out at all tonight. I teared up again. That’s all I’ve been doing lately, evening during Ben’s death scene. I feel like I’ll start bawling any day now once more time passes.

Disney, do us all a favor. If you’re gonna upload TROS onto Disney + then at least upload it with an alternate ending. Give it to the fans. They deserve it after this torture train you’ve put them through with lie and empty promises. Ugh, I feel so empty. I feel like in losing Ben Solo I lost a part of myself/a family member. If anyone wants to talk about TROS/Reylo with me, message me so we can cry/hug/rant together about it.

I had to get out my laptop for this, and you wouldn’t believe the absolute brainfart I had just now. I couldn’t remember my email OR my password. Thankfully I managed to remember my password, change my password, change my email, and log in after like fifteen minutes of fiddling. ANYWAY!

10. What song sums up this year for you? Rainbow Connection. Yeah, the Kermit song. Yep. I’ve been introspective asf this year. I’ve always had big dreams: Write a book! Publish! Make money! But lately I’ve been thinking about love, of all things. I’ve never considered myself much of a romantic--sure, I’ve had my share of romantic relationships in the past, but they weren’t life-shattering or world-altering, you know? I think I’m ready to settle down and start my next adventure with a life partner. I just don’t even know where to begin!! Starting a family and a life in a forever-home is hard when I have troubles connecting my brain and heart. Anyway, yeah: Rainbow Connection. I’m ready for my next adventure, I’m ready for something new and amazing, and I’m being as optimistic as I can about it this year. Yeah. Oof, rambling. Anyway!

11. What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then? I’m going to have to go with the Frozen 2 soundtrack, tbh. Oof. I’ve just been listening to it so much! I can’t stop! I relate so hard to “Into the Unknown,” and I, too, feel ready to fling myself into some unknown adventure for various reasons. Honestly? I just love the Frozen 2 music!

12. What was your favorite movie of the year? There were so many good ones this year! How could you ask me this question?!? The biggest problem with trying to answer this question is that I see an average of one new movie a week at the theater. Yep, you read that correctly! I have an ongoing Sunday brunch-date with my dad that has been a tradition since I was in high school. Every Sunday (or close to it--we miss around 6-9 Sundays a year, but that’s still 43-46 new movies per year) we go out to lunch and see a movie together. Sometimes we’ll do a back-to-back feature where we watch one movie and then immediately go into another (we buy our tickets, of course; we aren’t animals) and sometimes we miss weekends (weddings, events, sickness, work, etc.) but we try to maintain this tradition as best we can! I’ve kept every movie stub from when we started this tradition, and I’ve kept them all in various baggies and safes and whatnot. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost some during moves, but they aren’t the important part, you know? I just like keeping up with my dad like this.

But that didn’t answer your question! I’m not sure I can. Off the top of my head I think of Knives Out and Ready or Not, but those just happen to be the last two movies I’ve watched with my mother! AHHH! Honestly, though, I’ve watched both of them at least twice now, and I plan on seeing Knives Out with my dad again soon. We might make this weekend one where we see a new movie and then go see Knives Out again if the movie sucks. xD

13. Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? YES! Okay, I’ve seen plenty of movies with frickin’ Idris Elba in it, but I’ve never really noticed him. He was just some random actor to me for the longest time, but then he did the bad guy in freakin’ Hobbs & Shaw and I suddenly and intensely noticed him. He’s??? He’s like kinda attractive? I didn’t know what to do. I was looking up images of him and movies with him in it and freaking out about him? Yeah. He just took me by surprise, I guess. I don’t normally find myself looking at male actors with such enthusiasm, so let that be a testament to how weirdly and absurdly attractive this man is. What the heck. Why. Can you not mess with my poor ace brain? It h u r t s. HAHA

14. Favorite new TV show? Oooooof. Good Omens was hnnnnng~~~! I enjoyed that one waaaay too much. I’ve been a long time Terry Pratchett fan, and seeing the adapted show on Prime was enough to make me cry. Then I watched them, and that made me cry, too. I don’t watch the actual telly much, so I hope this counts!!! I don’t watch shows much, either. My life revolves around Achievement Hunter, fanfics, and anime, tbh. I work a bit on the side. pfffffft

15. Which new ship/fandom has taken over a lot of your time, attention, and tears? FCUKING THIS ONE?! Fucking heck, so--sO! I wasn’t really a part of the FAHC fandom until this year. I’ve been reading like harry potter fanfics and stuff since I was in middle school and watching/enjoying AH videos (including gta) for a few years, too, but it took my friend sending me a link to some AO3 FAHC fic for me to get hooked into this actual fandom. A fan I’ve been, a member I’ve not. Here I am! HELLO! I’ve been reading the most amazing things in this fandom, too. Fuck, I love it here. I truly do. I rarely come across something that isn’t good on its own, you know? Like I’ve read some truly Fucked Up Fics in this fandom because duh, but I’ve read some fics so beautiful and sweet or heartbreaking and angsty that I’ve cried, I’ve read some fics so outrageously funny or subtly hilarious that one time I nearly vomited from laughing too hard, don’t @ me I’ve laughed, and I’ve read some HELLA long fics that were like 500k but only took me a few days to read because I may have called in sick falsely one day couldn’t bring myself to put this shit down, yo. Like? Y’know? Those fics that are just too good what the fuck can you not absolutely amazing and don’t let you focus on anything else SO ACHIEVEMENT HUNTER (specifically Fake AH Crew) FANDOM FTW

“The Lion King” (2019) - Thoughts/Review

So my sister, Ciara, and I went and saw the remake of The Lion King at the cinema where I work since I get free tickets and I didn’t really want to have to pay £20 just to watch a film I could easily watch at home. To add, my sister has been super sick recently and I felt it might be nice to treat her - even though she has been saying for weeks “they’ve ruined it, I can tell”. The original Lion King is Ciara’s favourite movie and we actually rewatched the original on Friday because it’s one we both love. Ciara and I went in with absolutely zero expectations, thinking “it’ll be absolutely shit” based on what we’ve seen trailer/advert/clip wise.

I’m going to put my thoughts/feelings under a “read more”, just to be safe. Also, reminder that it’s just my opinion and that I can’t tell other people how to feel about the film.

So...it wasn’t as terrible as we expected it to be but it wasn’t a masterpiece like the original either.

They could have just reused the original “Circle of Life” as it was, really, but whatever.

Having said that, they could have frankly just lifted the entire audio of the animated film and animated the film to it instead of bringing in other cast members.

One of the first things my sister said was “where the fuck is Rafiki’s staff?”, and she kept saying it throughout the film, like it REALLY annoyed her that he didn’t have his stick with him the entire time.

Ciara said that the opening was the best part for her personally, I don’t know if that’s because nostalgia or because there was no talking, but that’s her thought on it.

BABY SIMBA IS SO SWEET OH MY GOODNESS

I love James Earl Jones but for some reason he just sounded...rather unbothered here. Like he was bored. Maybe it’s because hes old(er) now and he just doesn’t have the energy for it, maybe I was comparing his vocal performance here too much to his original one in 1994, but for some reason he just didn’t sound at all bothered or like the wise powerful King you can respect and fear.

I didn’t hate Scar’s new voice but I did feel like Jeremy Irons’ performance had more character to it, more sass/sarcasm. Here he just seemed a little..I don’t know. It was a little less sassy, if that makes sense.

It honest to God does feel like watching a nature documentary, like I was half expecting fucking David Attenborough to suddenly start talking over it to be honest.

Baby Simba reminded me of our cat, Dave, and he was admittedly very cute. I also really loved the things that the lions did that reflected actual cat behaviour, like pouncing and stuff like that.

Is it just me or did the filmmakers have the same issue as the original did in that they couldn’t decide what colour Nala’s eyes were? Like at one point I was like “oh, they’re actually green, cool”, but then in the next scene I was like “they’re brown?!” etc.

I liked the hyenas in this, I like that they were allowed to make actual hyena cackles because real hyena cackles are creepy as fuck. I also really loved Shenzi, even if I do wish they’d brought Whoopi Goldberg back.

During “I just can’t wait to be King”, I couldn’t help but feel like it paled in comparison to the original. I know I’m talking about the original a lot, but that’s the issue with these remakes - they will always be compared to their original films. In the original, the cubs were jumping on top of animals, making big gestures, the colours were bright etc. Here it was just two cubs running around a watering hole, the colours just...normal. Muted even. The vocals were fine, but compared to the original it just wasn’t the same.

My sister wanted to know why they didn’t bring back Rowan Atkinson as Zazu and I kind of have to agree. I found his woodpecker joke funny though.

I stand by what I said about Simba and Nala as cubs looking too similar. In the wild, yeah, that might be the case but this is a movie - the audience should be able to tell who is who. Eventually I think I understood which cub was which but that was only because they were talking and Simba is nearly-always in front.

Nala’s “Simba, do you speak bird” had my sister giggling though, so there’s that.

There were moments where I could see the animals expressing some emotion but for the most part it was very uncanny. It was like those voices shouldn’t have been coming out of lions - which is kind of the point. That’s why the Lion King on screen works better as an animation instead of realistic CGI.

I’m assuming that they changed Ed a bit to be more politically correct since in the original he was a bit...not quite there.

Unless they were talking, I could not tell which hyena was supposed to be which. The original three hyenas had very clear differences in their designs, whereas here they all look the same.

I did like the “Kings of the Past” scene under the stars - I think my sister and I both agree that it was very sweet.

Having said that, it went from broad daylight to dark as night in about two seconds and I can’t stand it because it should have been FAR more gradual.

Let’s have a moment of silence for “Be Prepared”. Somehow the best song from the original is the worst one in the remake because they cut 90% of it and turned it into a weird chant. It just makes it even more glaringly obvious that Jeremy Irons was a better Scar, to be honest. The beat is good but goddamit, the song deserved better.

I know Disney changed it because the original “Be Prepared” had sort of Nazi undertones but like...isn’t that the point? Scar is an evil dictator, it’s not like he’s a good guy. It’s like changing Chicken Run so that the farm isn’t operated like a concentration camp - it ruins the whole point.

I could be wrong but did they not use the “Mufasa has something he didn’t have before...a weakness” line? Because that was the line I heard in the adverts and thought was a good addition.

THE GORGE SCENE JFC

Not gonna lie, I kinda miss Scar knocking Zazu out - though I suppose it makes sense for Zazu to get the lionesses (and where the frick were they then?!)

I audibly gasped when Mufasa was knocked over trying to help Simba off the tree branch like I KNEW what was coming but it genuinely still gets to me.

Mufasa REALLY had to jump carefully down the gorge, huh

Mufasa’s death gave me mixed feelings to be honest; the delivery of “Long Live the King” was disappointing. Like in the original it’s slowly said, so evil it gives you chills, whereas here it’s so...meh. And I had to try not to laugh still because I turned to my sister and just said, “...Did Scar just bitch-slap Mufasa off a cliff?!”

Okay, Simba in the gorge and finding his dad’s body, him calling for help... god fucking damn it. My sister was openly crying and saying “for fuck sake, I’ve seen the original a hundred times and it still gets to me!”. I was crying too...it’s just something about that baby lion calling for help as his dad lies dead on the floor...shit, it gets to you.

It also helps that Hans Zimmer composed the soundtrack again - it’s beautiful, but I think that because we’ve heard it before and associate it with the original, it adds to the feelings. Like I hear the “Stampede” soundtrack and immediately I think of Simba crying for help.

I wish they had showed more fear on Simba’s face when Scar told him to run away - in the original, his ears are down, his eyes are wide, his posture/stance is clearly showing he’s terrified. Here he just looks a little...surprised.

OKAY BUT HOW DID SIMBA END UP ON THE LOWER PART OF THE CLIFF?! I DON’T...HOW?!

The imagery of Scar walking onto the ledge of Pride Rock as the hyenas surround the other lions is still super powerful, to be honest.

I wish Zazu had been trapped like in the original, like that was comedy gold and they missed it.

Disney really couldn’t have brought back Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella huh -_-

Look, I’m not a huge fan of Seth Rogen anyway - Sausage Party HAUNTS me to this day - but usually in voice over I find him more bearable. Not that I hate him that much but still... I would have felt ten times more generous about his Pumbaa voiceover if he hadn’t done his laugh. We ALL know the Seth Rogen laugh.

I still liked the dynamic between Timon and Pumbaa, even if my sister felt it wasn’t the same.

Some absolutely GOLDEN lines were cut, and it should be a crime: “he looks blue” “I’d say goldish-brown”.

THANK GOD they kept in “what’s a-motto with you?” though

“I got downhearted every time that I...farted, are you gonna stop me?!” “NO I AM NOT, YOU DISGUST ME” - wHAT. I mean...what?!

I’m glad there were a few other animals living in the jungle other than Timon and Pumbaa, like it makes more sense that there’s others living there. Having said that, I also liked the idea of them having this utopia to themselves in the original so...yeah.

My sister pointed out that the Timon-Pumbaa-Simba relationship was severely lacking in this film. In the original, you could tell that Timon and Pumbaa loved Simba dearly and that he was seen as a total equal. Here they seemed so much stand-offish even after living with him for so long.

“Yeah, you’ve grown 400 pounds since we started” - LMFAO THIS WAS A GOOD LINE OKAY

“Oh now he’s riffing” - honestly same, was it necessary XD

Ciara felt that the added scene showing Nala/the lionesses in the Pridelands/Nala leaving was unnecessary. In the original, you feel the shock with Simba when he returns because it’s the first time you see what a wasteland it has become. Here you don’t have that. It was clearly just to fill some extra time and get their money’s worth out of Beyonce, milking it for all they have.

The tension in that scene was nice though, and I sort of liked how a) Sarabi rejected Scar and b) how this was then a catalyst for Scar saying “the hyenas eat before the lions...but they don’t leave much behind”. Good addition that was.

Was the additional exposition showing a tuft of Simba’s mane journeying really necessary? Like we didn’t need to see a giraffe fucking eat it or a dung beetle rolling a ball of shit with the mane inside of it. Like come on, Disney, really? They clearly just wanted to show off that they could pull it off.

What’s that quote Jeff Goldblum says in Jurassic Park (I think?)? “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could that they didn’t stop to think if they should”. THE SAME GOES FOR THE PEOPLE AT DISNEY, JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN, DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD

How did Rafiki see a random tuft of hair and immediately go “FUCK YEAH IT’S SIMBA HE’S ALIVE”, like he didn’t smell it (it would have smelt of shit though) or anything, he just looked at it and was like “SIMBA IS ALIVE”. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW THAT.

“The Lion Sleeps Tonight” was a fucking delight, and my sister and I both sung/danced along to it, no regrets.

I jumped so hard when Nala just came out of nowhere and interrupted the song to be honest

The close-ups of Timon’s face in this film are hilarious to be honest - creepy but hilarious.

HOW DID NALA REALIZE IT WAS SIMBA RIGHT AWAY?! In the original she was like “who are you?” but now she just knew?! SHE THOUGHT SIMBA WAS DEAD BUT SHE SEES A RANDOM MALE LION AND IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THAT’S HER OLD BEST FRIEND WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD?! FUCK OFF

“Can You Feel the Love Tonight”...hmmm. Sorry, I gotta have a whole separate section for this.

Firstly...TONIGHT. CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT, DISNEY. IT’S AT NIGHT TIME. IN THE EVENING. AT LEAST PUT A FUCKING SUNSET OR SOMETHING TO SHOW IT’S EVENING.

Don’t get me wrong, the animation was beautiful, but jesus christ, it’s set at NIGHT TIME. How do you fuck that up?! It’s literally IN the damn song.

My sister and I are really not Beyonce fans, I’m sorry. Ciara literally leaned over and whispered “I’m going to sing the song myself to block out Beyonce”, that’s how much she despised it.

Look, Beyonce is a singer and yeah, she’s a strong singer. No one is disputing that. Do I think she’s overrated? Absolutely, but I can admit she can sing. She is NOT a voice actress and she should NOT be voicing a character like Nala. Every time she spoke, I just missed Moira Kelly’s performance from the original even more.

Beyonce’s voice just doesn’t fit the song. She was overpowering Donald Glover far too much - it was like he was a backup singer in a song meant to be a duet. A duet is supposed to have the two voices melding together and harmonizing to create a beautiful sound - not one person taking over and making it all about them

Okay but why the fuck does Seth Rogen sound like Kermit right at the end of the song?

Anyway, moving on back to the rest of the film:

Another moment of my sister saying “BUT WHERE IS HIS STICK, HE HAS TO WACK PEOPLE WITH IT”

Disney really cut out the stick metaphor where Rafiki hits Simba and says “it hurts, yes, but it’s in the past”. Like COME ON DISNEY. That’s one of the key moments for god’s sake!

So they could animate Simba’s mane-hair being rolled along the ground in giraffe shit but NOT Mufasa in the clouds? LMFAO OKAY WHATEVER

Jesus Christ Disney, did you HAVE to put that “Spirit” song over Simba going back to the Pridelands?! It just a) doesn’t fit the scene and b) comes out of nowhere. Like nowhere else in the film is there a moment like that, so why now?

Unpopular Opinion: “Spirit” is a bad song and my sister agrees. Everyone’s kissing Beyonce’s ass about it but me, my mum and my sister have all on separate occasions heard it and said “wow that’s fucking shit”.

I miss the slo-mo of Simba running through the desert more than ever. Couldn’t we have just had a recreation of that scene with the same music and NOT Beyonce’s random song ruining it?

I had a feeling they would cut out the Hula dance thing but it still annoys me because that is ICONIC

My sister and I were both far too happy when Rafiki took his stick out of the tree, like we were like “FINALLY”

Instead Timon and Pumbaa start singing “Be Our Guest” and like...Why?! Is this a joke just for Disney fans? BATB and TLK aren’t even set in the same continent, for a start, let alone being a part of the same story, so how the hell does Timon know it? I mean, it’s hilarious if you’re a Disney fan but just...why? It makes absolutely zero sense.

Sarabi still manages to be a badass Queen and I love it

The vocals during the big reveal scene really weren’t anywhere NEAR the standard of the original, especially on Scar’s part. It just felt so weak compared to Matthew Broderick and Jeremy Irons, to be honest.

Why...Why does Nala suddenly have beef with Shenzi? Just...yeah, Shenzi and like 50 other hyenas tried to eat Nala (and Simba) as a cub but like...why does Nala suddenly have personal beef with her based on that one interaction? They don’t even LOOK at each other again until this moment in the film.

The battle was cool, I guess, but maybe I’m just super blood-thirsty and gory so...who knows. The Simba/Scar fight was especially good.

I wish Rafiki using his stick was more karate/martial arts like the original, here it’s just like he’s flailing it about randomly

I did like that they reused the part where Scar basically flings smoldering soot/ash/rock into Simba’s face. Like that’s the kinda dirty tactic I live for.

“You were right about one thing, Scar...a hyena’s belly is never full” - OH SHIT, MY WIG WAS SNATCHED OH MY LORD WHAT A LINE

The hyenas eating Scar is so dark in the original and it’s even darker here because it looks so real, like I genuinely felt horrified watching it even though you don’t see anything.

Towards the end when Simba nuzzled two of the lionesses, I couldn’t tell which one was supposed to be Sarabi and which was supposed to be Nala.

THAT MUSIC AS SIMBA BECOMES KING, THANK YOU HANS ZIMMER FOR NOT LETTING US DOWN

Okay but I genuinely want to know if the baby cub at the end is Kopa, Kiara or Kion. Disney can’t seem to make up their minds about Simba and Nala’s cub so...yeah. It could literally be any of them at this rate.

I had no idea that the first credits song was Elton John, and I miss his renditions of Circle of Life/Can You Feel the Love Tonight even more, like those are arguably two of the best Elton John songs.

THEY USED “He Lives in You” AS AN END CREDIT SONG AND I WANT TO WATCH THE LION KING 2 AGAIN

So here’s the thing...it wasn’t as horrendous as I thought it would be, and Ciara agrees. Ciara is arguably the one to ask about Lion King matters since it’s literally her favourite film (having said that, for the longest time I thought her favourite was Tangled so...). It was nowhere near the standard of the original, and you could definitely just stay at home and watch the original and get more out of it then paying £30 at the cinema (far more if you’re a family). Some of the jokes fell sort of flat, some of them worked, it was a bit of a mix.

For the most part, the new voices weren’t too bad but none of them were better than the original voice actors. I honestly don’t understand why they didn’t bring back Matthew Broderick, Moira Kelly, Nathan Lane, Jeremy Irons, Rowan Atkinson, Ernie Sabella, Whoopi Goldberg etc. Obviously I know at least two of the original voice actors died (the ones for Sarabi and Rafiki) but why replace the ones who are still alive? I just...I don’t understand to be honest. Having more members of the original cast would have definitely triggered nostalgia for the adults watching the trailer/adverts and made them want to watch it more.

I didn’t hate it as much as I expected to. I don’t think I would want to pay to see it again (so if I do end up seeing it again, it’ll probably be at my place and for free) but it was cute and I can understand why parents would want to bring their kids to watch it. I did feel super nostalgic but afterwards, I kind of just wanted to go home and watch the original again. And I literally rewatched it three days ago.

It’s definitely not a masterpiece like the original was - none of the remakes are up to the standard of their original movies, but The Lion King is definitely nearer the bottom of my list in terms of how good a movie it is. Like I said, it wasn’t anywhere near as terrible as I thought it would end up being - I fully expected to want to leave halfway through and to have a raging headache, but that was not the case. It was a fine way to pass the afternoon, no doubt, and I think I ate too much food whilst I was there, but other than that...yeah, you get the idea.

If nothing else, it has adorable lion cubs in it so that’s a big plus I guess.

All right, ya’ll, I saw Endgame! Major spoilers will be under the cut so if you’re on mobile and it doesn’t work, SCROLL, SCROLL, SCROLL. Also, blacklist ‘a4 spoilers’ and ‘endgame spoilers’!

Overall? I loved it. There are a few things that REALLY bothered me/disappointed me, which I’ll talk about. As a star rating, I’d say 9/10.

First for the things that bothered me so I can get that out of the way...

Complaints:

- Thor & Loki: It’s no surprise to some of you that Loki is my favorite character (with Tony in 2nd place), and I adore the Thor & Loki bond. So I wasn’t happy at ALL that Loki remained dead, nor the fact that the Loki and Thor bond was completely erased/forgotten. Thor didn’t mention him ONCE, and instead focused only on the bond with his mother, which was, admittedly, beautiful. But the fact that he didn’t think of his deceased brother at all really felt like a disservice. I think it was supposed to be inferred that that what’s Thor’s so depressed about during the film, but it wasn’t TALKED about and instead was played for laughs. Thor’s PAIN was made to be humorous because he let himself go and had a beer belly. And yeah, I can see how at first that can be slightly funny, but it’s really not, if you think about it. Thor was so consumed by depression that all he did was drink himself almost to death. He was a wreck during the whole film and was made to look like a drunken idiot, except for the ending. Making him gain weight just to make him ‘funny’ also rubbed me the wrong way. Being ‘fat’ is nothing to be ashamed of, or funny. Thor’s characterization this movie was a big minus for me, which was disappointing. Him leaving at the end with the GotG made some sense, though, and I’m hoping this will lead him on a path to maybe trying to find Loki, in the past or otherwise. Quill trying to find past!Gamora... maybe it was a hint.

- Going back to Loki, he showed up in flashbacks from Avengers 2012 which really made my heart swell. Him rolling his eyes at the Avengers, waving ‘bye bye’ to the Hulk sarcastically when he had to take the stairs, taking the opportunity to snatch the Tesseract, not once but twice, and disappearing to God knows where? LOVED IT. It was so nice to see him again, no matter in what capacity. Though I still wish he’d come back for real, ESPECIALLY in that battle at the end. It wouldn’t have taken much more screen time, honestly. They could’ve just shown him arriving with the others at the return, have him fight side by side with Thor, and address Thanos. Maybe hint at some possible control, imprisonment, torture from Thanos? It could’ve paved way for the Loki series. Although, I guess this 2012!Loki disappearing with the Tesseract can achieve that, too, but it would erase all of the development Loki has achieved, and I loved the development. I loved his path to redemption. If they do this, I want a redeemed!Loki, who has a place among the Avengers, not a villain again.

- Gamora not coming back. I mean, I loved seeing her as her past self, but again... she died by being killed by her abusive father. It leaves a bad taste.

All right, on to everything else!

Things that I loved:

- Nebula and Tony’s friendship! I loved their dynamic a lot. Nebula taking care of Tony, and sitting him upright? My heart. <333

- Tony’s reunion with Steve. Omg their dynamic was FANTASTIC this movie. No leftover resentment from Civil War. It really made me love their friendship that much more.

- Tony’s reunion with Pepper!

- “I lost the kid. I lost the kid.” The first part I got choked up, of many.

- omg Scott coming home to see 5 years have passed and his daughter is a teen? omg I couldn’t even handle that. I loved older Cassie, though!

- THOR GETTING TO KILL THANOS FOR REAL. OMG I CHEERED. It didn’t help his vendetta, though, and once the revenge was complete, he had nothing left, which makes sense. His hate for Thanos was what drove him in Infinity War. He fell into a huge depression once that was taken from him. And why I wish, again, that this hadn’t been used for laughs!

- TONY AND HIS DAUGHTER!!! omg dad!tony was the CUTEST AND SO WAS MORGAN. Tony’s my 2nd fave character in the mcu, so seeing him happy, living life with his wife and daughter? perfection. The “shit” scene was both hilarious and sweet. “Go to bed or I’ll sell or all your toys” and Morgan laughing because she knows he won’t. <3333333333

- “I love you 3000″

- Clint and his family!

- Natasha saying that her family is the Avengers.

- the time travel was well utilized, even if it makes my head spin a little. XD

- LOKI LOKI LOKI

- “that is america’s ass” lmao

- steve saying ‘hail hydra’ and it WORKING

- tony and steve just KNOWING how each other thinks and using that to formulate the same plan, of going back to grab the tesseract? genius!

- There was so much foreshadowing in this movie at the beginning and middle of how this was going to end. Tony was unwilling to help at first because he didn’t want to lose what he had gained, and Steve kept saying he was over Peggy but by looking at her in the past, it was clear that he wasn’t, and that was where he wanted to go. I’ll touch on both those things more later.

- Tony getting to talk to his father, and finally come to terms with that relationship, and understanding/loving him... ow my heart. That hug was amazing.

- Thor getting to talk with his mother, getting that closure as well. This movie centered a lot on family.

- Clint willing to die to get the soul stone, but Natasha also willing to, and fighting over it, who had the strongest will to sacrifice themselves for everyone else. Their dynamic is also one of my favorites, and even though Clint is happily married with a family, part of me still ships them, and I loved those final moments together.

-”Let me go. It’s okay.” Natasha’s death was one of the first scenes that got me outright bawling. I adored her, and her death hit me hard because I was NOT expecting it. And for her to die as she did, willingly, with no restraint.... she wiped the red out of her ledger for sure. :( R.I.P Natasha. I’m so sad that they couldn’t even get her body to give her a proper burial. And everyone’s reactions after... devastating.

- I didn’t think Bruce using the Gauntlet was going to work at first. But once Clint’s phone started ringing, I breathed a sigh of relief and just waited. Then past!Nebula had to ruin everything by getting Thanos to blow up the Avengers HQ.

- Touching on this, btw: Thanos really is the Avengers strongest opponent. He was too clever using the two Nebulas (UGH) as he did, and he almost won again without even breaking a sweat.

- The. entire. fight. Literally, all of it. Thor using both of his weapons, Tony and Steve giving it their all... omg.

- The second Steve used Mjolnir, my entire theater screamed, and same, tbh. Thor’s “I KNEW IT!!” was everyone. It was nice continuity with AoU when Thor’s expression hinted that Cap was worthy. YES.

- It took me a minute to realize that Sam was back, and when it did, I sat there going “IS IT REALLY IS IT REALLY IST THIS HAPPENING OH SHIT”

- AND IT DID!

- Everyone coming out of that portal, focusing on each of them. Omg the theater erupted.

- “AVENGERS.... assemble.” cHILLS

- WANDA GETTING BACK AT THANOS’S CRAZY ASS, HELL YES! “I don’t even know who you are.” “You will.” YES, QUEEN.

- THE WOMEN TEAMING UP!

- Tony and Peter. The hug! The shock from Tony that this boy that he looks at as his own son, the relief that he’s alive, okay.. hi i’m crying again.

- The second Stephen raised that single finger, and Tony knew what it meant. And we all knew what it meant...

- “I am inevitable.” “I am... Iron... man.”

- Tony’s death hit me like a ton of bricks, and I was sobbing before he’d even collapsed to the floor. Watching the color drain from his face, and his body become so badly damaged.... I knew it was over for him.

- “We won, Mr. Stark. Come on, you did it, sir, you did. I’m sorry, Tony.” I CANT EVEN HANDLE THIS. PETER DIED IN FRONT OF TONY, AND NOW TONY DIES IN FRONT OF HIM. This surrogate father/son duo hurts me and I feel so much.

- PEPPER AND TONY. THEY DESERVED BETTER, DAMN IT. THEY DESERVED TO BE HAPPY AND TONY DESERVED TO WATCH HIS DAUGHTER GROW UP. ;A; “We’re going to be okay. You can rest now.” Rip out my heart. Just rip it out.

- As painful as Tony’s death was, it also felt.... perfect, in ways. He gave up his chance to keep things as they were to save everyone else. He did tHAT. He gave everyone else their families back. He died a hero, a true hero. I feel more at ease with Tony’s death, despite how unfair it was, because unlike Loki, Tony had achieved everything he meant to. He had a little girl who he loved so much and was an amazing father to. He had a son, who he taught to be a hero, too. He had a wife who will go on to keep Stark Enterprises alive. They’re Tony’s legacy.

- The funeral was SO heartbreaking, I was a crying mess. Happy and Morgan... :( </3

- ok so I’m 50/50 on Steve’s ending. He goes to return the stones to their proper time, and then stays behind to have a life with Peggy. Which, I mean... I’m not opposed to, and I think Steve deserves his happy ending too, but... it also hurt because not only was he leaving Bucky behind, he also left his friends behind. Friends that were already hurting from losing Natasha and Tony. And then to leave them like he did.... it felt... I don’t know, not wrong, but insensitive, considering what had just happened. Everyone had lost enough, and then they had to lose Steve, too. Although, I see his frame of mind. He’d lost so much as well. He wanted to have something for once, something happy, and he took it. I can’t blame him for that. I just wish his timing had been better.

-Bucky just knew that Steve wasn’t coming back as himself. He knows him so well. And his nod at Sam to let him take up the mantle... I knew it was going to happen, but I thought it’d be different. I’m fine with this, though. Steve’s retired. He can rest now.

- Tony’s voice over at the end was beautiful and perfect. That is all.

I loved this movie a lot, and can’t wait to see it again eventually! I had complaints and things I wish they’d done/fixed, but overall, the good outweighed the bad.
