So does anyone want to hear about a BOTW/TOTK Home Depot AU? Haha who am I kidding of course you do.

So @teehee-vibes and I have been talking SO much about BOTW’s champions bc we both care them so so much

And it was late and I had just gotten home from 3 days of driving with my family for a road trip so I was SO so tired. And I was thinking about real life/store owner AUs and what types of stores would be the most canon-compliant. Bc you know, you can make something fun out of anything, but it’s always extra fun to see how you can shape AUs around canon.

And I had come up with the idea of Link running an oddities/exotic goods business that he stocks with stuff from his international adventures, and moved on to Revali next (bc he’s my favorite :] rito so so cool)

I thought archery store at first but like. That feels so much more like Harth (and Teba?)’s thing, so I was like gotta find something different. and all I could think was. he has the whole wind thing. he sells fans. control the wind.

so yeah I sent that to TV and promptly passed out

Woke up the next morning to a response from TV saying “Can’t believe Revali monitors the ceiling fan section at Home Depot”

And then we fleshed out an entire Home Depot AU around it. Including:

Current and next-gen champions all have their own jobs in the store corresponding with their talents/abilities/vibes in the games

Revali gives Tulin a phone and signs him up for Twitter at age 10

Revali frequently livetweets about coworker interactions (especially about Teba knowing about nothing other than the woodworking section)

Link, the store’s janitor, yearns for a position in the garden department

Kass invented the home depot theme

Link also knows how the entire store runs but is relegated to janitor work by their boss

Their boss is King Rhoam

He forces Zelda to work in the electronics section and keeps her from her true passion (power tools)

Ganondorf runs a SECOND, COMPETING home depot (or Lowes) and forces all of the OG champions to be transferred to his store. Link, who knows how the whole store works, has to train the new champions to take over the old champions’ jobs. The old champions are doing a shit job on purpose at GanonDepot. Revali vaguetweets about his boss.

Link puts anything in his mouth. he gets less consequences to this than he should. (bit started when we talked about his garden department dreams and how he can perfectly tell soil’s pH but only by putting it in his mouth)

Riju and Tulin both get jobs at the Home Depot after the OG champions are transferred through the power of nepotism and lying on their resumes. Riju feels bad about it. Tulin Does Not.

Anyway yeah I can and will post more about this. This is only a taste of the WONDERFUL AU that has consumed me and @teehee-vibes‘s DMs for like a week and a half. Revali also works in paint mixing as well as the fans btw

This is my VERY FIRST Deviantart Art Trade! And it's with THE  AutumnSakuraJayy to boot!  AutumnSakuraJayy has been such a fantastic friend and a huge supporter for easing into and becoming a part of the online community. She was there almost on day one.

Their love of Rito and her fantastic imagination made all this so fulfilling and easy to love.

I had saw them recently post a redesign for their badass Rito OC "Mallow" and just HAD to ask if I could take a crack at him. Such a pretty man. Here is a quick story and art piece surrounding that very Rito and our Gerudo Champion training deep in eye of a desert storm in the heart of Gerudo Desert.

-------------------------------------------------- As the vast Gerudo desert stretched endlessly a distant sandstorm swelled, shrouding the landscape in swirling grains of golden sand. The tempest raged, and amidst the chaotic winds, the ominous rumblings of thunder reverberated through the arid expanse. Yet, within the very heart of this elemental maelstrom, an extraordinary spectacle unfolded.

Urbosa, the fearless Gerudo Chief and Champion, stood tall with an air of supreme confidence. Her commanding presence was accentuated by the howling winds that whipped around her. With a swift and graceful motion, she snapped her fingers, an act that beckon the heavens themselves. In response, a brilliant bolt of lightning descended from the skies, splitting the darkness with its electrifying blaze. It crackled with raw power, a testament to Urbosa's mastery over the element.

Amidst this dramatic display, Mallow, the nomadic Rito, showcased his own incredible prowess. With the storm raging around him, he soared through the tumultuous winds with the grace and mastery of the sky his years wandering the kingdom's heavens would give him. His lithe form weaved effortlessly through the maelstrom, a dance of wind and thunder.

In his hands, Mallow held his formidable ThunderBow, an heirloom enchanted by his late mother, bestowing upon it the power of electricity. As he drew the bowstring with fluid precision, a crackling spark of energy ignited at the arrow's tip. His eyes gleamed with confidence, and a mischievous smirk graced his beak, revealing his daring spirit.

"You can keep up, my friend!" Urbosa's laughter and approval resonated above the howling winds, a vibrant expression of camaraderie in the face of the tempest. Her voice carried an infectious warmth and pride that cut through the storm's fury.

Mallow met her gaze with a chuckle, his eyes sparkling with friendly rivalry. "Oh, my Lady, I can do more than keep up!" he retorted, a playful glint in his eye as he drew back the bow. The banter between them was a testament to their growing friendship forged through countless training sessions.

As the electrical storm continued to rage around them, their banter turned into a spirited exchange of words and power. Urbosa's voice echoed with wisdom as she shouted over the storm, "Remember, Mallow, control is the key to wielding such power. Let the lightning flow through you, not just ignite you!" she chuckled.

Mallow's reply was swift and lighthearted as he deftly maneuvered through the electrified gusts. "Oh, I intend to, Urbosa. But don't expect me to go easy on you!" 

He notched another arrow, this one even more charged with crackling energy.

Chakra use or academy training *must* give some level of elemental resistance because otherwise kid Kakashi specifically would be extremely dead. The Rasengan blew up countless times in Naruto's face and he was just learning it—developing it must have been even worse. And while Sasuke had the Sharingan's help and Kakashi's supervision learning the Chidori, kid Kakashi just had a) a jutsu literally designed to blow up, b) no adult supervision, and c) enough electricity to PROPEL A WHOLE-ASS HUMAN BEING. Might as well hand a kid the contents of a kitchen utensil drawer and tell them to build something from a live wall receptacle. How is he not dead???

In fact, Minato's reaction to the Chidori being 'only use it if you can aim it' and not 'why did you think holding enough electricity to stop your heart for long periods of time in your bare hand was a good idea stop that shit immediately who taught you electrical safety' must imply that the aforementioned resistance is extremely robust, actually. Because otherwise the Chidori (and similar moves like the lightning-style Lariat) wouldn't need to impale someone's chest—they'd only need to touch it.

Just found out electric eels a) technically aren't eels, they're just fish that look like eels and b) swim in a special way that make them extremely fast swimmers (with average speeds of 62 mph)

So anyway, merperson au where the speedsters are electric eels

#lightning! speed! aerodynamic! #it's perfect #well #brighter colors though #in my head im thinking that the eel mers are bright colors to warn off predators hence the neon red and yellow #natures warning sign #but i also think that their main food source is sharks #because sharks can sense electricity and its attractive to them. so I think the speedsters pack hunt like velocoraptors #one in front with the static turned up to act as bait #and at least one other hiding with the static off for an ambush #apex predators #but the trade off is they have terrible vision. like normal human vision but terrible vision in comparison to other mers #they can't see in the dark at all so they're usually in higher waters where it's sunny #which is accurate btw eels can't see shit #they have electrolocation apparently #so i guess the speedsters have that too but im going to say that they still prefer to see #and that while they can get around in the deep with electrolocation they don't like to #also eels breathe through their mouths and their gills are mostly vestigial #and eels can live for hours out of the water because they won't suffocate #so uhhhhhhh. they're very familiar with the surface imma say. #little mermaid mentality

i just want to say that im terrified. everyone i know, everyone i care about, could be dead right now. i have no way to know. its so scary. everything i know has been ripped away from me and im just. scared. i miss having a normal life and im sick of this. its been more than 3 weeks and i dont know when itll ever end. nowhere is safe and i dont know if my house is okay and i just want everything to be normal again
