Back to witches and wizards and magical beasts,
To goblins and ghosts and to magical feasts.
It's all that I love and it's all that I need at Hogwarts.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year, lovely people!
I can’t believe that 2018 is gone. It was a crazy year for me: I graduated college, got engaged, got my first adult job, and got married! Looking back through my old bullet journal brought back a lot of memories of this past year, and now it’s time for a new one!
I’m insanely busy this January (adjusting to living with a boy is super time consuming, but oh so worth it), so I opted for a simple, minimalistic cat theme. No color, just simple, clean black and white. There’s some empty space for me to doodle my kitties later, when I need to unwind.
How have you set up your bullet journals for this year and this month? I’ll be posting pictures of my yearly set up soon!

My 2018 Bujo
At the end, I decided to use this size of bujo and found this pretty looking notebook with dark blue and little starts (and says queen and that’s what I am lol kidding), it gives me more space to write than the before one but it also let me have some extra pages for the collections that I also didn’t have before.
I didn’t have a key or index in my previous one, it was made only with daily logs, so I’m not sure if I will remember them but I will try. I did a monthly log and dailies. I kept it pretty simple since I’m not that good at decorating and also didn’t want to dedicate more than one day to its decoration.
At the end of the bujo I keep my collections which are:
Higlights of the year: this is where I’ll put like big goals I completed or big events that happened to me during 2018, so I can look at all of them at the end of the year and feel great about it or happy that I survived all of that.
Feelings of the year: I will write how I’m feeling every three months about everything around me and at the end of the year I want to see the evolution of my emotions through the year. I want to see if I felt happy/sad and what were the reasons for it. I don’t want a daily emotions tracker because I don’t find it useful since we have so many emotions through a day, but I want to track the constant emotions that are always there for x reason and at the end of the year analize and evaluate myself, my decisions and people around me.
Books I own: In this way I can track new books I adquired or the ones that I haven’t read and are always there in my book shelf.
Books I’ve read: I will write the name, author and when did I start it and finish it. Like a good reads little sumary.
Books I want to read: where I take notes of the ones I really really want to read so I can remember them when I’m going to the bookstore or when I can’t decide which book to buy.
Movies of 2018: This is a list of every single movie I watch during the year. I did it with my last journal and gave me really good results since I couldn’t remember the good movies I’ve seen or recommend them to my friends.
Future reasearch: I want to write here little things that I need to sit and read about later like a scholarship a friend mentioned, a movie, an author, a webpage and any topic really.
Serie tracker: I do watch lots of tv shows and I want to remember which episode was the last one I watched in case (and has happened) Netflix/Viki/DramaFever doesn’t show my last episode of a serie.
Savings: I’ve been tracking my money for some years now in a separate notebook but since this one is bigger, I can now add it here. It’s a simple table with 5 columns: date, detail, income, expenses, and total.
Habit tracker: I wanted to really analize my habbits per day and per month. So I did this little thing where I put every month in a line and in the columns the days. In that way, I can see when did I read/exercise/study the most and when didn’t I.
Goals for 2018: simple and exact things of what I want to accomplish during the year. clear and realistic goals.
I’m so happy with my new bujo. I hope I can keep it the same way I did with my 2017 journal.

Setting up my journal for next month. I find it soothing to create a container and get an idea of what's coming up and how I might manage myself within it. A lot of #BuJo users do "Habbit Trackers"... I've decided to track "wins" instead, things that help me feel good and be my best me. (and working hours, because that's really useful for making sure I keep my foundational finances balanced!!!) Have I slept enough? Have I touched base with my spirituality and the magic in my life? Am I taking care of my body? (Dance breaks!) Am I on track with my studies?! Can I afford to eat? (the answer is yes) And what made me smile today? All important questions. The next 3-6 months are going to involve some serious focus on getting my thesis finished, but I need to keep that situated in my life too and avoid burnout. So... WINS! Plus... Orange is a happy colour! #witchesofinstagram #pagan #summerchild #habittracker #bujoart #dailyplanner #selfcare # https://www.instagram.com/p/B27yW6HnZ7q/?igshid=9yt3u04jopwq

May was a crazy month with a capital “C”. It started out so strong and by month’s end had fizzled to a slow drip in income and my desire to even turn on the computer or open my Bullet Journal. Solopreneur burn-out hit hard!
Thank goodness for good friends, and big ideas. And yes, even my Bullet Journal. It has saved my neck, helping me keep my sanity and my drive from going completely south.
Want to pin this article? I’d be so honored!
So, for today, I thought, since it’s such a popular topic on the net, I’d share my bullet journal. I don’t have the standard, well-dressed photos, but I’ve got scans LOL. And at last, you can see a bit of what’s going on between the covers.
I love my bullet journal. It is the best system I’ve found to keep me functional, help me remember the things I need to do and to brainstorm new ideas – one of which I’ll be sharing with you later in the week! That’s where I’ve been.. working on a new project and getting it all set up for a July Soft Launch. ( a bit of a teaser there!)
So, how do I use my BuJo?
I give each month an opening page and I try to make it artsy. I need inspiration and motivation to do a lot of things and if it’s just plain, I tend to not keep coming back to it. For me, having pages like this at the beginning of each month makes me stay motivated to keep using my Journal.  This is my June opening page. My birthday is this month so the cake is a fun design to make me feel better about getting older LOL.
My June focus page. I do one of these for every month too. It helps me stay focused on an area of my life that I really want to improve and build on. It’s different every month, but I always include some quotes that mean a lot to me, as well as the definition of my focus word for the month.
My June At A Glance spread. I really like the pink and black line art layout, and this spread works well for me. I was very disappointed with the bleed of the ink in the first banner though 😦 My fault. I got impatient and didn’t wait for the marker to dry. Lessons learned. (Personal information has been redacted.)
My Jne Gratitude and Habbit Tracker. I like this gratitude log and have used it for two months now and will probably keep it for a while. The habbit tracker is new for me. I tried it when I first started BuJo-ing and fell off the wagon, so I’m attempting it again.
My Sleep and Important Dates trackers. Not really anything fancy, just something to help me keep track.
I keep some regular collections in the front part of my journal and I migrate them every time I switch journals, though, I’ve only done that twice so far. The end of June will see me migrating again as I’ve run out of room! YIKES!
Here are some of the collections I’ll be migrating forward:
My master grocery list. Not that I am fortunate enough to have all of those items on hand at the same time, but it gives me a good starting point!
My Future Log – I keep track of all the major and weird holidays throughout the year. Its sort of a hobby of mine – weirld holidays that is.
My birthday tracker! By the time I move it to the new journal, I’ll have a new Grandson’s birthdate to add 😀
My Social Media Cheat Sheet! I use this almost every day because I have a hard time remembering image sizes and though I can look it up online, I’d rather just be able to turn a page and find what I’m looking for.
This is my mood tracker. I tried it last month and though I fell off using it about midway, I’m going to try it again. If it doesn’t work for me this month then I’ll find a new way to track in the coming journal. I like the flower though as I have tried to draw a Mood Mandala and it looks more like a mood madhouse.
So, that’s my June Set-up, pretty much. My dailies are a very simple, two per page layout and I just use a very easy bullet system to track my tasks, events, and reminders.
The Daily Spread
I also use it to track the weather and the moon phases because those effect my health.
Here are some other images from my past set-ups. I’d love to see yours too!
My May Opening Page
My May focus word
Be sure to come back Thursday to find out about my new venture! Want a hint?
Sorry, this is all the hint your getting for now!
A Peak Inside My BuJo (And where I’ve been lately) May was a crazy month with a capital "C". It started out so strong and by month's end had fizzled to a slow drip in income and my desire to even turn on the computer or open my Bullet Journal.
