This is a more serious post y’all. So, it’s come to my attention that people are now using TCOAAL as an excuse to support real life incest? Even more so than before. Mfs have officially lost the plot. Again, this is yet another example of the fanbase giving the game a bad reputation.

You guys know I love Ashley and Andrew sm, but their relationship isn’t normal, and it isn’t supposed to be. Again, you guys know I love them, and I want them to have their happy ending, but you have to remember that their situation is incredibly unique. They had a horrible upbringing, were fucked over by their parents, and live in a totally dystopian society. They’re now on the run because they have no choice. They quite literally only have each other, and despite their issues, you know they really love each other. Plus they’re FICTIONAL characters.

I was considering rejoining the subreddit, because I actually did have some good conversations about the game there before, but I quickly changed my mind. I thought it maybe calmed down, but no, it just got worse.

I can’t believe I have to say this, but no, in the grand scheme of things it’s not normal to fall in love with a sibling like hello? There are people who have trauma with real life incest, and will tell you how harmful it is to encourage. You try to tell these dummies that though and they’ll downvote you into oblivion. (When I used to be on the subreddit I got downvoted because I said supporting real life incest isn’t a good idea). 🤦🏻‍♀️

When it comes to TCOAAL, it’s like these people can’t find a healthy middle ground, it’s always one extreme or the other. You have one side that’s like “omg I hate this game, bad things should never be portrayed in media!” 🤬 and the other side is “yeah real life incest is totally okay and should be normalized actually!” 🤪. Like what???? It’s like none of these people know how to differentiate fiction from reality, and I find that very concerning.

Yeah, I’ll never forgive the people who hate without actually knowing anything about the game, AND that part of the fanbase for causing the game to be completely misconstrued. I held back from mentioning this before, but the sad reality is, it’s not hard to see that a lot of people only like the game for one thing, and It’s a damn shame. I mean during my time on the sub, there were hardly any discussions about the actual game, and If there were, those posts hardly got any traction compared to the NSFW stuff people posted. I’m like at this point you people are acting like the fanon stuff is canon😂. There’s an entire NSFW sub dedicated to the game, yet there was still so much of it on the main sub. Like I’ve said before, if outsiders see that and that’s their first impression, yeah it’s not a good look and I can see why it’s off putting for people.

I can't believe were still at a point where people keep saying "SE literally said it's more like a sequel than a remake" timeline bs again and again. I know there's a tiny chance that might be, sure sure sure, but there's more things pointing towards that it's not. And I don't know what is with them and they continue to gaslight themselves that SE said such a statement. In the first place if such a thing were true? How come SE doesn't mind you don't play remake? At that point they're already bullshitting the "sequel" thing, because you've already missed stuff right if you just went ahead and play rebirth? But no problem because they're just refining OG, it isn't a sequel and timeline thing is 50/50 if not at all. I don't know how they're going to incorporate Zack into the mix, there's definitely going to be an important portion for him there, this is afterall a tribute to FF7. Whatever that is, I just pray that they can do it well. But that "its a sequel bs" pisses the fck outa me. Literally where is that statement they keep on yapping about so confidently?!

It's not a sequel. Advent children is a sequel. Remake is a remake. Rebirth is the second part of that remake. The devs are saying you don't need to play Remake because the plot points raised in it are repeated in Rebirth so noobs can follow along with what's vita. The battle system is the same as Remake but more evolved because of the combos, and the only thing missed in Remake is the beginning of that relationship development between party members, but since we're at a point beyond that, if you play retroactively and do Rebirth then Remake all that happens is you get to see those bits you missed.

It's literally no different to people who began the comp with AC then played the games. They get a further in point of the story as their start which gives them deeper understanding of the plot than those who begin at that earlier stage.

The devs are basically saying players won't miss anything if they start with Rebirth. It's just their way of reassuring people. It's not meant to be taken as "OMG NEW TIMELINE!!! SEQUEL!!! TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND REMAKE IS MEANINGLESS AND SO IS OG AND EVERYTHING!!!!"

The devs have literally said in every interview since remake was announced that the plot is the same as OG.

so, I was expecting it will be a Maki POV kind of thing but this also works pretty well too. Hanamaki, my love, is so over-the-top loverboy that every girl deserves. Oh praises everywhere and out I'm inlove with him, he'll never fail to make you feel comfortable. maybe because the relationship foundation has enough stability that it did work out to evolve into a gf-bf relationship. i really love platonic love because you can never be wrong with it, even if it evolves to something like that so casually. and it was amazing Tori, it broke me maybe too much more if I didn't know they'll break up eventually. Reader handled it perfectly HANDS DOWN that scene when Maki asked her to put a label on her: girlfriend. LMAO the rebound thing with Iwa was hilarious!!! The read was too relaxing AND NGL, i was expecting a hard break up but like the casual evolution of their relationship, it broke up cleanly too like: WTF WHY YOU TEACHING ME THAT THERE IS SOMETHING LIKE THIS THAT COULD HAPPEN IM NOT ACCUSTOMED BY THIS, IS LOVE LIKE THIS, THERE'S REALLY A LOVE LIKE THIS!? like that. TBH, i really feel uncomfortable because I really wanted him to end up with reader and I can't think of how pain will reside in him when Atsumu gets the one thing that is very precious to him. Maybe it'll break me if I'll read the Maki alternate ending. omg, I'm shaking 🥺 I wish mine broke cleanly like this. and I know, after this, Maki will never move on from herーor not, what do you think Tori? Is he gonna move on from her? but dont spoil LOL I wanna excite myself!! Oh the heartbreak my God.

PAH OMG OMG. thank you so much for these in-depth thoughts i love them omg omgogmogmgmo. hehehehe. i love love love the last chapter of not fair! i think it refocused on reader and tsukishima rather than tadashi which was the VIBE and just focuses on the love between them and how their relationship has evolved. <3 (also, i come up with these scenes because i am a horny bitch that's it)

AND AH YEA. the whole point of posting the maki chapter was in PREP for tonight where i hope everyone loves the last chapter and ALSO the maki chapter hahahahaha.
