i've also been brainstorming a potential rant post/essay-type analysis just entirely based on an autistic interpretation of barry allen. so far some of my points include:

the coma/barry's other absences between seasons, disappearances into the speedforce, etc., as metaphorical representations of autistic burnout

the literal and non-literal aspects of masking in the superhero context, paired with a) barry's desire to unmask constantly and reveal his true self to those around him vs. the need to continue masking his identity for his own protection

pair that with barry repeatedly being surprised when other people aren't taken in by the mask and already know his secret when he thinks he's doing a great job of hiding his (autistic) identity from those around him... i don't speak from experience or anything

superhero narratives and a strong sense of justice (esp. as ppl often misinterpret "autistic sense of justice" as "autistic ppl are more morally correct than allistics" when it actually generally refers to just. a stronger sense of and adherence to whatever justice looks like to the individual person, regardless of whether it is actually justified.) especially pertinent regarding barry' uh. interesting ideas of what justice looks like, aka his super secret meta prison

other vague points about it being rlly common for autistic kids to run away for various reasons, especially in the context of escaping overwhelming sensory situations---especially interesting things one could potentially read into barry's future self removing himself from the situation with all the lights and flashes on the night of nora allen's murder, advocating for himself in a way he couldn't as an actual kid? this is a bit more of a reach bc he was also very much trying to stop himself from being murdered but whatever it's my analysis i can do what i like

had a large green tea and a 22oz doctor pebby all within the hours of 3-9 and any and all of the caffeine i may have gleaned from those beverages appears to have just gone inert all at once. i feel like pond scum

tell me the appeal of big brothers 👨🏽‍🦯

well you see nara, there's something so respectable about a man who dotes on his little sibling so selflessly, is willingly to risk it all to protect them, is willing to lay down his life for that of his brother/sister. I find that kind of dedication not only admirable, but also undeniably hot. Maybe it's the idea that someday, when we are madly in love, that he would do the same for me. That he holds me so dearly in his life that he would be willing to give up his own for my well-being. Now, I would never wish that upon him, but the sentiment behind it seems so romantic to me, idk.

now, for some visual aids, may I present to you Exhibits 1, 2, and 3:

1, Takashi Mitsuya - the perfect older brother to his two little sisters Luna and Mana. Dislikes violence but is ready to throw down if any danger comes to his friends or his family. A complete sweetheart overall. And he's so handsome, so that's a plus.

2. Kyojuro Rengoku - another great example. An exemplary role model for his brother and even for the young demon slayers he brought under his wing. He never gave up fighting, was always willing to risk his life if it meant that one less demon was out there wreaking havoc on society. Cared for his brother till the very end. Set my heart ablaze with his fire (and looks of course).

3: Tensei Iida (Ingenium) - literally was a hero and was motivated by the fact that his little brother looked up to him. I mean, how can you not love this guy?! Look at the smile 🥹

Honorable mentions: Choso (I won't be going into this any further), and Shinichiro Sano (you don't need me to explain this one to you 😏)

I just did something that immediately reminded me of Beel and/or Levi and MC lmao. This is also lowkey a PSA for all of my fellow drink mix lovers 🫣.

So I just drank two whole packets of “Cherry Slush” drink mix. It was soooo good, tasted just like a cherry slushie, like it actually had that strange frozen taste in a lot of those popsicles; seriously it was like witchcraft! Well, I just looked at the packet…it’s one of the energy ones so I just consumed a total of 240mg of caffeine…at *checks watch* 11:34 PM😭. Idk if that’s actually a lot or not, but I have anxiety and caffeine makes me giddy and panicky all at once.

I can just imagine Levi and/or Beel keeps energy drink mix around bc they both stay up late (for different reasons obvi but still late), and mc drinks like half the box of them during an intense game night not realizing the literally demonic amount of caffeine they’re consuming…needless to say they didn’t sleep for a whole 24 hours, the brother the drink mix belonged to got chewed out by Lucifer, and Lucifer nearly panicked because he thought they might have to rush MC to a human world hospital.

240mg at once is definitely a lot and that late at night- welll good luck anon 🫡 tho I gotta admit as someone who loves fruity drinks I kinda wanna try it 👀

But omggg just imagining MC like shaking with a caffeine high and Lucifer is trying to figure out wtf is wrong!!

Trying out animation again despite my complete lack of education in the area. I dunno dude, it's just, so powerful, making things move.

and it's like, obvious I do not know what I'm doing, and that's kind of frustrating

but I have an idea and I'm making it happen and the quality regret won't kick in for at least two years ✌

but even though I got this far with guesswork and basic art skills, there is part of me that wishes I'd taken a class and then maybe I could visualize movement better or optimize this process, or something. 😓 Maybe all I need and certainly don't have much of is practice; animation's too complex to think of it as drawing 2.0. I mentioned this in a discord and someone recommended The Animator's Survival Kit book and it looks interesting.
