Another prediction/thought, not on whatever Sumire and Hakubo had going on, but since Mitsuba’s a cannibal and Tsukasa’s a supernatural, will Mitsu ever have the desire to eat him? Like he’s wanted to eat Kou ( I think )?

Also, Tsukasa is a really strong supernatural, and Mitsuba eats supernatural for 1 - to make him stronger, and 2 - for his cannibalistic urges. If he were to actually eat Tsukasa he’d get really really strong, wouldn’t he?

I want to talk about this page in particular because the implications here are so riveting.

Lavi is currently 19. Allen is believed to be 16.

Which means that either

The Bookmen are lying

Bookman Jr. did die then and Allen either didn't age the first few years or his age got fucked up multiple times before he met Mana

The first seems highly improbable at this point tbh. If the Bookmen were planning to make Allen take the poison to make him remember his past then lying about when Past!Junior (presumably) died seems counterintuitive and would only make Allen mistrust them more once he was in full possession of his memories.

It doesn't seem like Allen de-aged to an infant. He says his earliest memories are from when he was in the circus. Even if he did age back to an infant, he would've needed caretakers and nothing in the story suggests he had any.

(Note how little Allen doesn't have his Innocence in the last panel. What the fuck does this mean Hoshino.)

Allen looks perhaps 4-5 in both of these panels. If Past!Junior died over 19 years ago and Allen aged linearly since then, then he would have to be 23+ by now. Even considering the possibility that he aged back to an infant, he he should be 19+ by now and he looks barely over 17.

We can assume that he must've aged in a somewhat even fashion once he joined the circus because otherwise the performers would've commented on it at some point of time.

What happened in the years between Junior dying and little Allen getting into the circus? Was he in a child's body till he acquired his Innocence? How did he even acquire his Innocence in the first place?

There's also a final possibility that came to me while I was writing this post— Lavi was born while Past!Junior was still alive. He was born with the 'mark' because Past!Junior was no longer fit to be a Junior. I genuinely have no idea how Hoshino will explain this. Will it be some sort of corruption? Memory loss? Chronic illness?

All of them seem equally unlikely options at this point. But so did the possibility of Allen and Bookman Jr. being different people before this chapter :)

Either ways, this was a very intriguing chapter and I'm looking forward to whatever Hoshino has in store for us.

#also really curious abt the whole blood thing #i had a little theory abt bookmen's powers being related to their eyes and bookmen tying their memories to their juniors #(with or without the eye powers)#so that if something happened to one the 'records' would automatically pass on to the other and the chronology would not be broken #but i don't think i have the energy to articulate all that before the next release #so y'all can have the short version of it in the tags #also interesting to note how the past!allen we see in 251 has short hair but the pasta in 215 has longer hair #(that looks surprisingly similar to junior's hairstyle)#was there a purpose to him growing out his hair or could he just have not been bothered to cut it #anyway it's really cool to see hoshino use her medium to its full potential #this wouldn't have been easy to pull off had dgm been any form of coloured media #all things aside nea's polycule sure was crazy huh #no wonder hoshino nerfed him #ALSO interesting to note how nea not once comments on allen being alone #which means he couldn't have predicted junior deciding to become allen's(and by extension his) protector #anyways fascinating chapter. can't wait for more #dgm #d gray man #d. gray man #allen walker #past!allen #lavi dgm #past!bookman junior #dgm spoilers #dgm 251 #text #🍀

I can’t help but still keep wondering and thinking about what will happen when Tsukasa gets destroyed as a yorishiro, how everyone will feel, mostly the characters who even have a relationship with him. Nene, Hanako, Mitsuba ( Broadcasting group ), maybe Kou..?

Especially Mitsuba! Tsukasa’s someone who’s always been there for him as he died and when he was recreated, he’s been given so so so much by Tsukasa, heck, Tsukasa’s still trying to grant his wish!

I’m am so terribly hoping that we see Mitsuba be sullen when Tsukasa’s gone. It only makes sense, doesn’t it? That’s Mitsuba’s closest friend, Tsukasa’s done everything for him, it only makes sense for Mitsu to be sad. Right? I’m not just being delusional I swear 😭!

With someone you know, with someone who’ve hung around with, with someone who’s done stuff for you and tried to make you happy. You would be depressed if they disappear, right?!

Jesus.

Also, I’ve been wondering, if the clock keepers get their yorishiro destroyed in the Omen arc, then will they have one more yorishiro left, will Tsukasa really be the last one to go? What about Mitsuba’s yorishiro???

He doesn’t even have a yorishiro, does he??? If he does, then what is it? I’m pretty sure it’s on that one window all the way to the top of his boundary right? If it’s not, than has he just not deemed anything his prized, most important possession?

Will he choose one soon? What or who would be his yorishiro anyways? What’s so important to Mitsuba 2.0???

Delusion ( ? ): What if Mitsuba makes Tsukasa his yorishiro to keep him alive? OMG.
