Creature Creation Station version 0.4 update is now up for download or freeplay in browser!

IMPORTANT NOTE for those upgrading from version 0.3 and before: ⏩ Loading the game for the first time from the previous versions will initially display your creatures as all the same default cat. Fear not! Just close and reopen the game and from then on they'll load with their correct features!

⏩ There's a few other bugs like the giant cursor in browser and such, but I've been waiting too long to get this update out, so please bear with me as I work on patches!

A short list of the many new features: 🐈 Pick up your creations and drag them around with right click! 🐈 Use the whistle button to arrange all your creations in the center! 🐈 Cute new paw cursor! 🐈 17 new body features! 🐈 A ton of new randomized name options 🐈 Added blob shadows under creatures and lil dust particles when they run 🐈 On feature change, a Sparkle particle effect and animation play 🐈 … and much more!

Hi everyone! I recently just made a small asset pack for RPGMaker since I saw there weren't any free top surgery scar packs out there yet for the Character Generator!

They're mainly good for MV/MZ but it should be pretty easy to get them into Game Creator Hub / VX Ace I hope. The Ultimate Picrew - BG3

I had an idea - it could probably be considered a cash grab for Larian studios the creators of Baldurs Gate 3 but...

What if they took the character creator and released it as a standalone product? Hear me out!

Of course, priced much lower than Baldur's Gate 3. This version could continually introduce new races, body types, facial features, and more, emphasizing the visualization of characters for your own home games.

There's a clear demand for more customization options. Mod communities are already expanding Baldur's Gate 3 to fill the gaps in available choices. So, why not facilitate this further? Why not make modding as simple and user-friendly as modding for character creator in The Sims? This version could be for the community playing dungeons and dragons IRL with their friends making it about designing and visualising characters either as players or as dungeon masters creating important NPC's or just fleshing out their worldbuilding.

As a storyteller and worldbuilder - and dungeon master I would absolutely love such a tool.

Okay, question for the character creators out there: Do you first write the backstory and then decide the character’s personality/traits based on their past, OR do you first decide how the character’s personality/traits fit into the story and then write the backstory of how the character became the person you created?

I’m sure there is a lot of overlap and intermingling of the two during character creation, but PRIMARILY which do you do more? Personally, I lean more towards the second, but I’m curious to see the process of the majority!

Playing around with Hero Forge updates, and realizing I never made this bad bitch with it. Dherys the Iconoclast (pronounced "ther-EES" I guess, figured out that Glanfathans don't use y in their names too late 😔), Glanfathan elf, faithful and beloved of Galawain (until she learns some things), member of the Three-Tusk Stelgaer, cipher/fighter, mind hunter, and animancer who was exiled for desecrating ruins one too many times (and also for murder), after she helped to advance animancy the Dyrwood. First (in recorded history, at least) to theorize that Eora has (had) a soul and that gravity is a separate force from the Wheel, which has alternately gotten Leaden Key and Hand Occult assassins sent after her (they never succeeded) and gotten her laughed at by her academic colleagues (to her immense ire). Kit's erstwhile mentor and mother figure, quasi-cult leader, and huge asshole!

How do you design a character? I need help for a project I’m not sharing anything about here (yet)

I can’t design anything cute or cool and I already tried searching and looking at references but nothing looked good nor did it work. I asked on my Twitter but no body ever interacts with me on any social media not even reading my fanfics so I know this will fail all the same.

So the free Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator is very good. My only real gripe is that the budget for scars is limited, with up to 2 per limb, and 2 for both the head and torso combined. This applies to the tattoos as well, though it does have its own budget. Suffice to say, Jespar, Tharael, and Calia's scar/tattoo budget for head+torso is all in their faces. I can deal with the limits on the different styles for hair/facial hair, because hair can grow, be cut, and styled, but scars/tattoos are more defining traits for these folks for me.
