As an elder SJM fan (I've been reading her books as they came out since TOG) I would like to let the wider fandom know that every time a new SJM book comes out, including fan-favorites, a vocal part of the online fandom talks about how her writing is getting worse, the book was disappointing, the characters were all wrong, etc. Every single time, without fail.

#oftentimes the negative part of this fandom is LOUD so i wanted to say this #sometimes it makes you feel stupid or bad for enjoying a book #which shouldnt be a part of fandom or of reading in general #and liking something other people dont doesnt mean you have bad taste #it means you and them have differing tastes and thats normal #it really did happen with every book #including ACOMAF and HOF and QOS and EOS etc #sarah j maas #sjm #acotar #tog #hofas #hoeab #hosab #crescent city #fandom #mine

I think we (by we I mean the general public) need to stop thinking about musicals as once in a lifetime experiences and start thinking about them as Entertainment For Me (general me). Because if people let themselves be drawn in by red carpeting and vip packages and choose to pay extortionate prices, the theatres will continue to raise those prices because its seen as an easy way to make bank to cover for the risk/revenue deficit from what they consider "actual art" (doesn't apply to stage etc which only does musicals, but does apply to city theatres that are wilding) (vaguepost). (Aojflsöd no more european musicals this is an east german and bavarian city theatre musicals blog only)

Musicals belong to everyone as often as possible!!!!!! Not only to wealthy people or to middle class people once a while as special occasions!

#no but legit the hof and magdeburg city theatres both slayed when i went to them

Things that do not get discussed enough: you can spare Loghain, marry off Alistair and Anora, and still become chancellor. Imagine how incredibly awkward that would be for just. everyone involved. I feel like that's a decision that should've gotten a "Hey uh Your Majesty are you sure that's a good idea" when Anora says it, just because... the king currently hates your guts? Maybe playing advisor to the crown isn't the best place for you? And yet.

I was like “hey let’s just see maybe if I open origins this time it’ll work for no reason” so I did and see the thing is yesterday every time I hit resume it would spend less than 10 seconds on the loading screen before crashing and just now? just now it spent little over an entire minute. for a whole damn minute I really thought it was actually gonna work, finally, with no effort on my part

#in the city elf origin. you start inside then you go outside and that’s where the auto save hits and where it crashes #in the mage origin the auto save is right before you fight the rage demon. and then you talk to mouse and then it goes back to the circle #and I get two (2) lines out of jowan before it crashes #but there’s no place to save in that so I’ve played that fight. and the conversation. and the two (2) lines. so. many. times. trying to get #it right #so the city elf origin not even letting me play is. better actually #I also have a mahariel started but I didn’t really vibe with her so I haven’t even gotten to a crash point there #maybe I should play that more and see if I can get further. maybe even to the actual game #but idk.
