Since I was only lurking around these parts when Season 4 was airing, I haven't shared my 🤡 theory about Season 5 yet.

And that is that Gabriel has faked his death. yep, mhmm, you heard it here first. Gabriel was shot and was about to die, but miraculously he survived. However, before the doctors could tell Andrea and Carlos of his survival, they were intercepted by the highest person in the Texas Rangers, who forced them to lie to Carlos and Andrea. then, they concocted a plan to fake Gabriel's death because there is no better opportunity to finally uncover corruption of the highest degree. Their guards will be down, and now Gabriel can make his move ... after a couple months of rehabilitation.

But to keep Carlos and Andrea safe, and Carlos' sisters, he stays hidden, working in the shadows.

At some point in Season 5, Carlos starts receiving anonymous messages, clues about the corruption that Gabriel can't make a move on because he's a ghost in every sense of the word but blood still pumps through his veins.

The arc ends with Carlos and Gabriel meeting again during the final showdown, where it looks like all is lost -- perhaps TK is bleeding out somewhere -- and then Gabriel emerges from the shadows. Surprise, motherfuckers. And shoots his killer dead.

Carlos resigns from the force because this whole thing was bullshit. A few months later he opens a personal training gym.

I have a suspicion that Boston has some sort of an unconscious need for validation from Top, which he'smisinterpreting as romantic feelings. I saw a post theorizing that Top was Boston's first, and that definitely feels like a possibility to me, or at the very least it feels like being with Top was something new or special to Boston. Him 'hoeing' around could be an attempt to compensate, to protect his ego.

I have a clown theory for Be My Favorite, episode 11! It came to me in the shower, literally, lol:

That 7-year domestic bliss timeline with Pisaeng and Kawi. The one that @bengiyo and I were wondering about, because Kawi seemed to mostly be at home and eating, while Pisaeng was out working everyday. (The idea of Kawi working as a singer was totally gone.)

What if that whole thing was PISAENG’S TIME TRAVEL perspective?

We know from episode 8 that Pisaeng has met Loong Crystal Ball. Jumping to assumptions: Pisaeng doesn’t necessarily need Kawi to work, as a singer or otherwise. And we see Pisaeng turn the crystal ball at the end of episode 11.

I’m going to posit that that’s not the first time he’s turned that ball. I’ll posit that he’s doing exactly what Kawi was doing with Kawi’s dad: Pisaeng keeps pinging back to the past to see if he can keep Kawi healthy and happy, and is super frustrated that he hasn’t been able to change the hospital part.

I also think the 7-year timeline may have represented the kind of happy, domestic, familial life that Pisaeng’s mom thought he couldn’t have. Maybe part of Pisaeng jumping back…to the future, as it were, was in part to create the kind of domestic bliss that he was being told would be difficult to achieve. And he was proving that bias wrong.

can I just say. coffee theory is stupid and completely cheapens the choice Aziraphale makes.

Aziraphale continues to say no to Metatron's offer until Metatron uses the real bait: if you take over Heaven, you can reinstate Crowley to his Angelic status. And that is what gets Aziraphale to say yes hook line and sinker — he can take Crowley with him so Crowey doesn't have to be afraid of Hell and Aziraphale can run things Do It Right as the Head of Heaven and no one would say anything to Crowley ever again if Aziraphale was on his side. Aziraphale doesn't know about the trial and the fact that Gabriel was fired for disagreeing w Heaven on the Second Armageddon front. He just thinks Gabriel was fired bc he fell in love w a demon (and Aziraphale's in love w a demon). Aziraphale strongly believes that if he can reinstate Crowley as an angel again then there would be no such objections from Heaven at all, because they would both be on the same side and they can be together and if anything ever goes wrong, both Crowley and he would be protected under Aziraphale's position as the new boss of Heaven. Plus, the way he remembers it, Crowley enjoyed making things creating things and still likes to do good deeds which he gets in trouble for if Hell finds out, but he won't if he's an angel, in Aziraphale's eyes then Crowley would be free to do all the good he liked. And because Aziraphale would be the boss, Crowley would be able to ask questions and work with him and make things better w his inquisitive perspective, something Crowley always wanted to do and Aziraphale wants to give him that also.

He doesn't know the full depth of things that Crowley knows, which is why when Crowley hears Aziraphale's offer, all he hears is that Aziraphale is choosing Heaven, after everything they have done to him, Aziraphale is leaving Crowley FOR Heaven. The way he sees it, Aziraphale wants him to change and be Heaven's definition of "Good" so they can both be in Heaven, conforming to a life Crowley left behind long ago, a life he knows Aziraphale wouldn't be happy in either. Which is the killing blow to Crowley's heart bc Aziraphale would choose THAT instead of coming away with Crowley? Devastating. But he doesn't know that Metatron's offer WAS Crowley's Angelification and hence forth security that got Aziraphale to say yes. Crowley hasn't communicated a lot to Aziraphale but Aziraphale also hasn't communicated a lot to him either and they're both on very different pages w the information they've got and what they feel they need to do to be together and be safe and happy.

Does Aziraphale make the naive choice? Yes. Does he make so in full control of his mind and senses? Also yes. Having his coffee poisoned is an incredibly cheap tactic because as a writer it's a cop out. It robs Aziraphale of not only his agency but also the reasonings behind his choice. It absolves him from the struggles and consequences of his actions and robs him of the growth and realization and epiphany he will have in the third act. It cheapens their inevitable reconciliation.

Metatron didn't hand him the coffee to poison him. He handed it to him so he can use the manipulative familiarity of "oh look i brought ur coffee order, isn't it cool how I know your coffee order isn't it nice how we are close like that?" that was the tactic. to get him to listen. Not some elaborate coffee poison.

Im just really annoyed about how people just fucking hate it when the kids they were jealous of and hated in school for not also getting bad grades also report being fucking traumatized by the school system.

Something interesting about Neil and Andrew's deal is, when it came down to it, Neil never really needed or wanted Andrew to protect him. For example, during christmas break, it would've been in alignment with their deal for Neil to stay safe, take care of Kevin, and let Andrew take the abuse on his own. But Neil doesn't even consider it once he realizes Andrew is in danger. At the banquets and the talk show when Riko was there threatening him Neil never hid behind Andrew. He antagonized that bitch himself. And the biggest one, when Neil starts getting the countdown texts, he knows it's a threat, but does he tell Andrew? No. In fact, he makes sure that Andrew promises to stop protecting him because he doesn't want his death to hurt Andrew. All Neil really seemed to want was someone to lean on when he wanted to run.

Maybe at first Neil wanted protection, but very quickly Neil's priorities shifted. He didn't care about the deal; he wanted to protect Andrew, above all else.

I've truly hit rock bottom.

The major complaint with all our delusional takes regarding Tech's survival is that we are taking them out of our asses, but in this case, it is quite literally outta someone's ass.

Look, I don't wanna dunk on my main man, but Tech's got no booty. He is as flat as an airport landing strip in the Netherlands. I don't know what voodoo dark magic Nala Se did to strip Tech of the standard issue clone tushy, because our next possible candidate for Clone CX-2 is Cody, and dude is packin'.

Why is it always Hellva Boss earworms that make me come up with ideas?

So, during the whole Freakshow thing, it wasn't true mind control. Danny was definitely affected, but it messed with his self esteem and emotions to the point where he damaged all of his relationships and is considering running away. Freakshow, who was a little bit smarter in this, then reveals that he knows Danny's a halfa and hey, why don't you join my ghost circus while you figure some things out.

So Danny becomes a clown because he's always liked clowns, and if you've seen the new episode, you know what happens next

and over the course of a few years, Freakshow isolates Danny from his family and friends, indoctrinates him into the crime side of business, and gaslights Danny into thinking he's nothing without him. Danny loves performing, but is so beaten down that he thinks he can't leave even if that's what he wants. Danny's a famous performer at this point, even if no one knows his real identity. The other ghosts aren't really a comfort since they're mind controlled.

The Justice League, specifically Young Justice, already know that Circus Gothica is a crime ring, but have no evidence to get them arrested bc the ghosts (who they think are just metas) are too good. The leader during the thefts (Danny) is the only one they've ever been able to get close to. Maybe at some point, Tim!Robin and Danny get trapped and Danny has a panic attack for failing Freakshow? Something happens that makes Tim convinced Danny isn't a criminal willingly, but he can't convince the others.

Danny and Klarion somehow end up dating. Freakshow joins the light, probably, and the two work really well together. Klarion asks Danny out, and Danny was really reluctant since he hasn't had... anyone, in years, but they date and it's just another thing for Freakshow to hold over his head.

Eventually, Freakshow gets the inkling that Danny isn't working as hard as he should be so he puts "Greatest Clown in the World" contest, and tells Danny that all the clowns who don't win will be immediately killed.

Danny is horrified, but he can only care about himself right now, so he's working his ass off.

(Meanwhile, in Gotham, the Joker tried to join, but the Batman broke in, stole all his bones, and left him in the hospital for a few months)

So Danny's putting his all into this performance, but Young Justice finds out about the murder bit and infiltrates with, IDK, disguised Nightwing? Klarion is also there to support his man.

Danny ends up tying with Nightwing, and the tie-breaker is a three minute performance and whoever's more entertaining wins. Danny has a panic attack during Nightwing's performance and Tim and Klarion team up to talk to Danny.

Danny's convinced he will be nothing without Freakshow (literally, he might fully die), so while Klarion helps him feel better about his skills, Tim finally gets the deets about Danny's whole situation. Tim logics that Freakshow mindcontrolling this other dimensional species + Danny is half this species = Danny is being mind controlled, pissing off Klarion while Danny thinks back to what happened when Circus Gothica first came to town.

His irrational anger at family and friends, his desperate need for approval from Freakshow, how he never even considered going independent, how he thought he was immune to the mind control staff despite being half ghost.... He's pissed. He wants to quit.

So he tells Tim that YJ needs to get the staff during his performance; without it, Freakshow wouldn't be able to mind control anyone. And he goes on to give his performance.

As for that... look, 2 Minute Notice is an amazing song with amazing choreography. the only thing i would add would be a quad somersault during the trapzee part.

Danny proves himself as an amazing clown, Freakshow gets arrested since Danny is willing to testify against him, the ghosts are free, and Klarion later murders Freakshow in a cell because that's his boyfriend, you pathetic excuse of a warlock.

"Freakshow, you sad sack of shit! Fuck you!"

A little detail I love about Welcome Home is that Wally’s favorite food is apples which I like to think is because of the saying “apple of my eye”. Which subtly carry’s on the theme of eyeballs that’s already pretty prevalent to his character and the story.

The timeline roughly lines up with when the Tiktaalik existed, and the meteor that killed the dinosaurs landed only 66 mil years ago. I think I saw a post of yours asking why Lucifer had a clown circus ringtone and I know you haven't watched Helluva Boss, but to answer that, he also dresses a little like a circus director (don't know if you mentioned that) and in Helluva Boss is mentioned that he has a theme park named Lu Lu World, so it's probably all tied to that.

Also I think that kind of theme park / circus place may be one of the creations he had in mind when the "elders" or whatever said he was dangerous and didn't let him create stuff with them, but that's just my guess.

Yeah he's dressed as a ring leader for a circus bc he rules over the 7 rings of hell, with each other sin representing a different circus act (Mammon the jester/clown, Asmodeus the magician, etc.)

He's so disconnected from the ongoings of hell I wonder if we'll ever get a canon explanation for why he chose to organize things this way
