after your posts about it, i played portal 1 and 2 again and it’s amazing how much the facility feels alive, like in the beginning of 2 when glados is first waking up again and the walls are moving back into place they move so fluidly as though their the lab’s first deep breath in a long long time

ok 1. :o!!!! you replayed it bc of me what!!!!!!! 2. oh my god I KNOWWWW !!! something I've been noticing a lot of this go round is the panels you can see actively replacing and refitting themselves at the beginning of chambers, like glados is putting that last little retouch on it she can before you have to occupy that space for the next little bit. I just got done with the first escape sequence (which, btw, I have a new appreciation for in how it really endears you to wheatley. hes genuinely helpful and it's nice to have someone say "oh you're okay!!!" when you get out of a tricky situation when you. yk. Don't get that for the majority of the game. well done on the writers parts, it makes the twist all the more devastating when it happens hehehe!!!) and watching glados use the facility to her advantage to disadvantage you-- moving panels to trap you in small spaces and reveal turrets and even going so far as to move the chambers themselves in an attempt to crush you...... aaaah!!! and seeing the inner workings of the facility feels so much like seeing the guts of the place, especially when you get to the turret assembly part and all the bits with the tubes.... like girl that's intestines!

#I know i rag on wheat all the time #but i genuinely believe hes on par with glados in terms of how well written he is #they poured so much attention and depth into these bots and their stories man ........ this game is bursting at the seams with- #creativity and love for the project. yk. #also shoutout to that panel that just smacks itself against the wall at the start of one of the chambers. and the one that dances w a cube #< not sure if its supposed to convey like. glados's mental state having just reawakened? but i always thought of it as like #the panels literally have a mind of their own and will do whatever they want if a. given a power source [ie glados] #and b. not kept in complete and total control by an external force [ie... glados...] #i get that vibe from a lot of things in aperture. that they have their own whims and wants and if left to their own devices (lol) #that is something they would pursue. but they cant and therefore they dont. #aperture science figured out how to make a sentient computer and went ok. lets make everything sentient! :) #surely this will be a great idea with no ethical ramifications ^_^ #<someone remind me to talk about the portal 1 cores vs the portal 2 cores it fucks me up when i think ab their differences.......

mexican tacos and rice water and for dessert i had cheese cake tempura with some mochi

it was actually my first time trying rice water and it was SO GOOD. it was so delicious and refreshing and the tacos were amazing too. the cheese cake tempura was a bit small but it was rly good and the mochi as always was delicious.

Canonically it’s trombone, and he knows how to sew

He started learning how to sew pretty young (out of necessity) so he’s really good now. He made papyrus’s costume after all! He’s actually a pretty skilled seamstress and super super good at making barely visible, perfectly blended alterations to clothing. He’d be better at mending if he cared to, but he isn’t bad.

The trombone was probably in whatever the underground equivalent of his second year of high school.

Yes he was and still is a band kid sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️

Other than in game canon, I see him doing origami. He found a box set of books (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) at the dump in great condition and decided to take it up.

He used to make a bunch of little characters and animals for babybones Papyrus to play with.

He makes so many paper stars. Like two of those really big mason jar fulls with a third actively being filled.

It became a bit of a coping mechanism to be able to pick up scraps of paper and make little things quickly and mindlessly. Not to mention the chance to make a wish

More than once he may or may not have used torn slips of blueprints and schematics for projects…. Oops

Papyrus

He’s so babygirl girliepop

He loves puzzles but that’s already covered by playing the game and this is not written to rehash the canon

So instead I will tell you about the million and one crafts he does (no I won't)

He so so crafty and creative so technically he does a lot of different things, but I see him loving making decor items. Stuff like rock painting and recycled garden decor. Yk those bottle cap flowers for your garden? Stuff like that.

His front garden is so cute because of all the stuff he put in it.

The rocks he paints are just random local forest and river stones. The paints are all natural and watershed safe. Ecological awareness queen.

He mostly does those dot patterns when and places them all around the garden and pathways. Sometimes he’ll do little faces or bugs to mix it up

ZUMBA omg

He’s such a Zumba girl you have no clue. He loves the fun danciness of it while still being a good workout. He’s very 90s fashion-wise so you know he’s in those brightly colored body suits.

He lovesss putting together and painting model figures. Kinda like dnd minis but I see him being more into put it together yourself robot sets (like Gundams or whatever they’re called)

Y’all he’s so down bad for sexy robots you can’t tell me he wouldn’t love Gundams. Just look at how he acts towards his action figures AND METTATON HIMSELF. He’s so tragic and so real tbh.

He’s my artsy babygirl.

If you’ve read my headcanon post about him you’ll know.

He’s not very good, but he does do landscape paintings every now and then. Those times are more when he randomly decides to take a walk around a local park or something. He’s more interested in studying other artists’ work than doing it himself.

Onto an actual hobby: Whittling!

He discovered the hobby kinda on his own in the underground. Whenever he was forced to show up to his sentry station and couldn’t find a way to run off, he’d pick up sticks and cut them down to nothing with a pocket knife. Over time he started carving little shapes and figures into the sticks. He’d usually just make simple bone attacks or snow poffs. Sometimes if he found a bigger branch, he’d make replicas of some of the other royal guards or random machines.

Topside he makes so many animals. Like so many. His favorite things to make are birds. He has so many different types of whittled birds all over his room. There’s boxes in his closet overflowing with finished and half finished bird carvings. They’re also in the windows and you can see them walking past their house.

If he’s feeling fancy he’ll pull out the woodstain and give them a little depth to make the species more obvious.

He makes other animals too of course, but they’re usually gifts. He makes a bunch of forest animals for Frisk (their favorites are rabbits and deer).

He made an MTT carving Once when Edge was going through it and was increasingly stressed for like a month straight. Red is a bit of a hater so jacking anything MTT was like pulling teeth. You gotta do what you gotta do for the happiness of your siblings I'm afraid.

A lot of people see him working as a mechanic and I agree, but that’s his career and jobs can’t be hobbies so I’m not gonna go into depth.

Edge

Ok consider for a second: (silk) flower arranging

For one, I headcanon him working as a professional makeup artist on the surface so its not completely left field,

For two, I’m right and you know it.

He does it as casually as you can imagine Edge being casual. Mostly dining table centerpieces and hallways vases. He does silk flowers for places he doesn’t check as often (like hallways) but since he’s classy he dumps the extra G for the fancy fake flowers.

The real flowers are in foyers and on tables. He even takes the occasional flower arranging class in different disciplines to be able to have the skill to arrange any flower in any style.

Edge is such a granny so I think weaving would be reasonable too.

Originally he started out darning his clothes so they would last a few more months, but since he got topside he does a lot of more artsy woven pieces on those small lap sized looms.

He’s not too picky about the actual design; they’re usually classy and fancy and a bit pretentious like him but he’s not actually all that picky about it. He mostly makes scarves and wall hangs that he sells at the local farmers market and craft fairs.

All his friends do have specially designed and stunningly made scarves that he spent hours laboring away on. He gets to critical levels of happiness when he sees them wearing his hard work.

I know wife!reader is a reader character but something about her gives only child energy yk? Like sure, she's spoiled but the pressure to be perfect??? Like she's the only child of the police dude or whatever, and while she probably got whatever she asked for, she was under so much pressure to perform correctly because she was her parents one chance. She is a reflection of them and she has one chance to do anything correctly. I could also see her being an older sibling with that need for control she has.

Also shy!reader gives middle sibling energy or younger sibling energy but idk how to explain it. She just seems to carry this expectation that she'll be overlooked that it's become a need. Idk. She also gives "glass child syndrome"

Nurse!reader is definitely an older sibling let me tell you WHAT but not oldest sibling, like the second or third in a big family. Like she got so used to taking care of people she made it her career, but because she wasn't oldest she got this brutal attitude.

And FINALLY (and this is self projection probably BUT) they're all burnt out gifted children.

and poor shy!reader. i'll explain more of her family dynamic in In Limbo, but there was def this sense of like... i am alone most the time and this is the only way i can feel comfortable anymore a;sdlkjf

and nurse!reader totally. fucking. jesus christ she beat up kids when she was little i just know it. constantly fighting with them. imagine her coming from a family of like 6 kids and she's constantly arguing and bickering i could totally fucking see it. it's why she's able to put Soap in his place so well honestly ;ladkfj also she can defend herself like crazy with combative patients in the ER i just know it.

and then there's mafia!Reader. she's def an only child. constantly argued and fought with Shepherd. fucking hates the man. got hella sassy and moody because of it. sort of the opposite of wife!reader. instead of being the golden child, she was the one who was, in his eyes, always messing up.

Wilbur who was made by the federation both to cash in money for them and to spy on islanders, unbeknownst to Wilbur who thinks his voice box and speaker are just that, but are actually surveillance tools.

Wilbur finding out what his purpose is, that he was created to spy on his loved ones without knowing, and isolating because he's afraid. Isolating because he doesn't want his loved ones to be in danger yk

And Roier who comes up with ways to communicate without making Wilbur afraid that they're being listened to; Roier who starts writing notes and letters so they can talk without anyone else hearing. Roier who promises they'll find a way to make sure Wilbur won't be a glorified listening device for the federation anymore

sorry for the wait. i was struggling to make this little 30 second clip for this concept of yours (wasn't my original project, but i HAD TO MAKE SOMETHING). i was gnawing on the legs of my desk the entire time! the quality SUCKS FAZBALLS but i'm not letting alight motion watermark my stupid little animatic. it's ugly and gets in the way of my captions ANYWAYS! time for my favorite part of making animatics and pmvs: explaining my thought processes behind them your songbird au got me thinking. in my variant of the proj. bluebird au, jaiden is the head scientist who built the ositos to manage the islanders in their whole. time loop situation and help to "re-raise" them...it's complicated so she's kinda the favorite child not only that, but as a teenager, in many of the loops, jaiden gave cucurucho information cause she was pressured to do so and follow the rules ("bring order to the discordant,") so i combined these aus (aptly named bluesong. creative i know) and figured that because jaiden values giving data and information to the bureau, she's the one who came up with the idea of turning both her and wilbur into "songbirds," little listening devices for the federation to give the "most orderly outcome." wilbur finds out years later. he is NOT doing well! as i put in my planner for this little pmv:

I have seen maybe half a season of TUA and didn’t read the comics so let me tell you seeing those panels where Vanya is yelling “We belong on that stage” (and in reference to herself and her taller blonde bass-playing brother) drawn in profile with literally Gerard’s haircut and outfit was a big shock to the system. I never even considered that he’d inserted elements of himself and his bandmates into TUA except for a bunch of weird edits people made comparing how much Aiden Gallagher looks like Frank but now I feel like I really need to read it.

im really looking forward to rereading all of the comics after this semester's over because i haven't done that since volume 3's run ended and i'll definitely make more coherent posts about it then but like. it's really really interesting to compare to all of gerard's other art because he is just...so distinctively him, even across different mediums and genres. tua and mcr and hesitant alien and kjna and his visual art etc etc etc like his artistic fingerprint is stamped so boldly and unapologetically all over them and that's something i really love about him. like his art, love it or hate it, is sooooo genuine always. even when he's purposely imitating other artists, he's very consciously doing it in his own voice, putting his own spin on it.

when i say tua and mcr are completely separate projects i mean it - i don't think one should only ever be discussed in relation to/in the context of the other - and, above all, tua is certainly not like...autobiographical, or a direct representation of real people/events. it's led by gerard but it has a different creative team than mcr does and that really shows as well - i definitely wanna talk ant this when i have more time but part of the reason im not sold on conweap as an album is because it's too umbrella academy - it's really evident that gerard was working on both of them at the same time, and letting one influence the other too directly. mcr's a band, not a Gerard Project, and umbrella academy is largely a duo (w gabriel bá), so they can't just be transplanted onto each other yk.

anyway I'm rambling but all this to say - tua isn't meant to be "about" mcr any more than bullets is "about" 9/11. but gerard's life was changed and shaped by his experiences in the music scene throughout his life, by dropping everything and living as a penniless artist, by becoming suddenly (in)famous, and that really shines through in tua. he says he drew inspiration from touring band life to write a dysfunctional family, and the dehumanising effects of fame and attention, and of being categorised and scrutinised on a private or public level, are huge themes - as is addiction, mental health, complicated grief.

like...i actually got into mcr through the tua comics lmaooo. i read volume 1 because of wonderful @blackmoldmp3 talking about it and immediately said oh. i need more from this dude's brain right now. and i was soooo not disappointed haha. i really am obsessed with quite a lot of the things gerard is also obsessed with as an artist. the particular themes and imagery and scenarios he's fixated on are really very consistent throughout everything he does - only the way they're discussed or portrayed does change over time. i don't rly subscribe to the idea of gleaning specifics abt artists' personal lives from their works because, beside all else, it just does them a huge disservice (that's my number one gripe with the popular talking pounts around hes alien and frank's solo work in particular; however "confessional" you wanna read art as, it's still art that was created with skill and intent.)

anyway that's way off topic dkfnfj. what i do love about this kind of thing is looking at distinct creations in the context of the rest of an artist's body of work. like...yeah, gerard's said there's a lot of mikey in klaus. has dressed similarly to vanya and the kraken and the seance at times etc etc. has compared himself to the rumor, because she's the one he relates to most. puts a lot of his familiar ideology surrounding music and performance into vanya. puts angry teenage vanya in a shitty punk band with her disillusioned teenage brother on bass, and puts a classical music prodigy in a punk band as an excellent guitarist, writing songs about killing the president etc etc. i could go on! because these things are just scattered everywhere through the comic, just like all of gerard thematic and aesthetic and ideologic fingerprints.

so what's reallyyy interesting to me is looking at umbrella academy as something gerard wrote on the road with mcr across multiple years. volume one was released while the tbp world tour was ongoing, and volume two only a few months after. the progression of parade -> tua -> conweap -> danger days is SOOOO fascinating to me, especially because one of the things that really works about danger days imo is the way it kind of shakes off some of the tua-style gritty cynicism and returns to mcr's defiant, extravagant theatricality. if you go through tua with a fine-tooth comb you'll definitely find the most direct comparisons to conweap, in terms of mcr. the way dd approaches the themes it has in common with tua is just.....so different, and so so mcr. and then you can see the at times self-referential development on those things in hesitant alien - AND THEN VOLUME 3 COMES AROUND AND LIKE. AUUUGGGGHHHHH the change and growth there is SO apparent. btw i don't mean "growth" "progression" etc in this post to mean "improving" - i just mean change and development in a neutral sense, bc it's so interesting to see it laid out there in an artist's body of work. but like. man it makes me crazeeee actually the way gerard picked tua back up....almost certainly around the same time mcr started discussing a potential reunion. and the way that foundations revisits and reconceptualises mcr's existing catalogue is paralleled in the way vol 3 of tua is, like...........like there's so much life lived there, between those things. gerard's even said he's changed his plan for the ending (if we ever see it 🥲) because he has more compassion for his own characters now and doesn't want to see them broken down for good. he says he's gotten better at listening to other people - for starters, he's a lot more conscious of his own subconscious racism/whiteness that came through at times in the original run and has expressed regret for that (namely, the entire main cast being white, with a couple of side characters being uncomfortably stereotyped).

but just like. augh. im not gonna lie man i have no idea what i've just typed im sorry it's probably so rambly bc I'm so dizzy rn and definitely am not gonna proofread it or whatever skdjfj but. I LOVE ART! I LOVE ARTISTS! I LOVE DIVING DEEP INTO AN ARTIST'S BODY OF WORK AND WATCHING THEM REINVENT THEMSELF AND/OR DOUBLE DOWN ON THEMSELF (SOMETIMES FOR BETTER, SOMETIMES FOR WORSE). obvs this fandom genuinely does have a big issue with invasive/un-self-aware parasocial behaviour but there's a difference between that and like. getting obsessed with a particular artist. that's so normal and in fact necessary to life imo. i think every artist literally has to have ppl like that i can't imagine any other way to live it's just a specific type of human connection at a distance baby. don't get me wrong tho i also wanna chew on his thigh. anyway.

my god. how did i get here what even was your question. tua. yes it's crazy. it's not for everyone for sure but it has enough of the shit that makes me crazzzzyyyyy that it got me into mcr which made me crazierrrr so. yes i can recommend. especially if ur like me and lovvvve stories that are a little bit fractured by design. that dance around big parts of the story, where there's as much significance in an absence or in a tiny background detail than there is in any dialogue or action scene. most of the criticism i see of tua is about the pacing but like. to my tastes it's a really great use of the comic medium yk? lmk if you want content warnings or something there are plenty skdjfj.

He's quick to run off at the mouth when he thinks someone's outta line and speak up about injustices when he sees them. Situations with the first one sometimes lead to physical altercations. Luckily he knows how to fight and has that special whiteboy privilege that keeps him from getting into deep deep shit. But doesn't mean he comes out unscathed. And so there's a good handful of photos in your camera roll to document his injuries.

Back to his passion about justice. It weighs real heavy on him learning more and knowing about all the different oppressive systems that the world's structures were built with. And while he's outspoken and tries to participate in grassroots organizing when he can, mostly like doing physical labor things. It helps him channel his emotions into productive things.

Patience isn't his biggest strong suit. And the slow progress of, well progress, takes a toll on him mentally a lot of the time. Making him withdraw and isolate. It can be tough to deal with, especially when all this shit is even more directly impacting your life. It can lead to some big blow ups and it takes, ironically, a lot of patience and commitment from both of you to work through them.

Lucky for you both, Erin's family--including his found family friends--quickly accept you into the family. They've all been dealing with Erin's passion bullshit and trauma a long time. So they're happy to step in or lend support when things get rough.

In the long run it strengthens your relationship because you learn to be completely open and honest with eachother and focusing on better articulating to communicate clearly the things bothering you both instead of him shutting you out and leaving you without support.

But it's not all depressy stressy and gloom!! With his friends quick to accept you completely into the fold there's bound to be plenty of antics and laughter. Can't help to be, especially with the trio of Connie, Sasha and Jean. Watching Eren throw his head back in laughter is always heartwarming. And kicking back with everyone, no matter where, just getting to be, and exist is always a comfort.

I believe it’ll be a spur of the moment thing, probably built on action, but other than that…

“Little Fox, when I saw you, I thought—“

Jacks broke off before he finished the sentence, and Evangeline was left to wonder just what he might have worried about. Was he worried she was hurt? Or that she was with Apollo?

She didn’t get to ask as she was sat atop the twisted sheets, getting the first chance to really scan the room. Apple cores lie everywhere, along with torn maps and crumpled papers. Evangeline’s cheeks flushed, she got the sense maybe she wasn’t supposed to see this. It all felt so personal.

But then his fist was tugging at the nape of her neck, and with a whimper she looked up at him. He would always be beautiful, she realized, no matter how much agony he seemed to be in. His blue eyes flashed as they caught on the blood on her lips. It took everything in her not to project her thoughts and ask him to kiss her.

She wanted him to kiss her so badly, almost as much as she needed air to breathe it seemed. And the way he was staring at her mouth, well… maybe he thought the same.

“You’re still bleeding.” Was all the warning she got before he lowered his lips to hers and licked a line up the center of hers. It was slow, deliberate, and almost torturous the way Evangeline wanted to beg for more. She was still shaking with fear from the hands that had wrapped around her neck and yet— all she wanted was Jacks.

Another whimper escaped when he didn’t immediately pull away, keeping her close with his hand in her hair. She felt like she was watching him battle with himself, and she hoped-this once-he’d let his wants win.

But no. He pulled away and dropped her head. “I have to go.”

“No!” She pushed off the bed, landing in front of him and blocking his path. “What are you so afraid of? What is it?”

He looked at her, positively broken with the way his blue eyes gleamed, “Do you still want to know what the stones do when they’re together?”

Her breath seemed to leave her lungs in one final: “Yes.”

She watched him think it over and over, as if she could hear his thoughts when he wasn’t even projecting them. He stopped at his desk with another apple, “When the four stones are combined, a person has the power to return to any moment in their past. It can only be done once. Once the stones have been used for this purpose, they’ll never have the power to be used like this again.”

Something rolled in Evangeline’s stomach that this wasn’t right. Her heart twisted, as if knowing she was about to hear something she didn’t want to. But she had to know, “What moment do you want to return to?”

He didn’t look at her, “I want to return to the moment I met Donatella.”

There it was, there was her heart breaking. “The princess who stabbed you?”

He nodded, that was all she got. She couldn’t figure out how he was feeling. “Why would you want to go back to her?”

He still wouldn’t face her, “She was my one true love—I want another chance at that.”

No. That couldn’t be it. Evangeline had been with Jacks, and had never seen him bat an eye at the mention of the princess. “Why go to all this trouble for a girl you don’t love?”

Turning to her, he bit down hard on the apple, never taking his eyes off her until he dropped it back onto the desk, “This is a pointless argument,” he spat, “and you won’t remember this anyways.”

“Wha—why are you saying I won’t remember it…” but she knew, Evangeline knew that if Jacks went back in time and met Donatella all over again, he wouldn’t need Evangeline. They would never have this argument, would never have anything.

Unless he made it happen again, “Will we ever meet?” She asked after a long silence.

“No.” His face was stone.

“But… will you remember me?”

“Yes.” His arms were crossed, she didn’t bother trying to change his mind because she knew when a Fate set their heart on something—not even entire worlds could put an end to it.

“So… if none of this ever happened…” Evangeline took a deep breath as a sudden though fell upon her. Jacks wouldn’t like it, and she’d probably embarrass herself but… “Why haven’t you kissed me?”

She watched his eyebrows lift to his forehead, “Excuse me?” He coughed.

“You heard me,” She took a step closer, crowding him to his desk, “If everything will change, then kissing me wouldn’t really kill me because I will have never met you.”

Jacks smirked, but his eyes remained agonized, “That desperate, Little Fox? After all this time you still believe there’s any reality where this works?”

She kept her face neutral, shrugging as she scanned the room once more, “It doesn’t really matter does it?”

Silence fell, the world fell it seemed. It was just them, face to face, inches apart in the trashed room that didn’t even feel real at the moment. He tore his eyes between hers over and over before: “No.”

But she stopped him from sidestepping her, “You’re scared.”

“I am not.” His nostrils flared.

“You are. You’re scared of what could happen.” Evangeline laid her hands on his chest, pushing him against the desk once more. “But you should really be scared of walking out that door and forever regretting that you didn’t take this chance.”

She stared up at him with all the courage she’d mustered this last year. She took all the pain she’d felt, and all the times he’d healed her, and she let the intensity roll off her just as it was him. She watched him break behind blue eyes, watched his fists clench and unclench.

It was when his eyes landed on her lips again that her really broke.

And his fist found her hair again, his free hand landing on her waist. He twisted them, pushing her up against the desk before locking his mouth to hers and—

No, this was when everything fell away. Everything but the two of them as his hands found her thighs and lifted her up onto the desk. He tasted like apples and blood and felt like the most torturous happily ever after. He was smooth but rough. He didn’t bite her until she bled, but his fingers on her hips dug in until she knew she’d have bruises. His tongue slid against hers as he pulled her chest flush to his and she moaned. He was all strong muscle and smooth skin under his shirt.

She wrapped her legs around his waist, feeling him hard between her legs. The sensation had her pulling away for air, dropping her head back with a call of his name. But he didn’t miss a beat, his tongue finding her neck and biting down, sucking bruises no doubt.

“Fates be damned Little Fox,” he groaned against her, “I’ve never told you how sweet you taste, have I?”

“Jacks—Jacks—“ Evangeline moved her hips, this was so much more than just a kiss.

“Yes, love?”

“Bed.”

There was a growl against her throat as he picked her up in his arms. With her chest against his, she felt his heart racing. He walked across the room, never taking his eyes off her, before he sat on the bed with her on top.

He tugged on her bodice, his fingers tracing the curves on her breasts. “Tell me how to get this off or I swear, Evangeline, I will cut it again.”

She pushed to stand up, “Laces in the back.” On wobbly legs, she turned around and lifted her hair for him to undo her dress.

His long fingers tugged and pulled and, the world seemed to come back to her. This was moving really fast but, she’d wanted it for so long. Maybe before she’d even known. And his kiss was smooth, worth dying for…

Dying…

Her dress loosened enough to fall to the floor, leaving her in just a beige slip as she turned back around.

His eyes reflected her thoughts, “Are you…”

“Still breathing.”

His cold hands went to grab hers, “You’re shaking.” He whispered, and she watched as tears welled in his eyes.

“I…” she laughed softly, “I really want you.”

He trailed up her slip, his hands following so he could pull her down with his own laugh. Or maybe it was a sob. Evangeline didn’t care, she was right there with him as he turned her onto her back.

His hand drifted under the slip, and she whimpered as it trailed up her stomach to squeeze her breasts, “Really?” Jacks asked.

Evangeline cupped his cheeks, pulling him down to her, “Don’t leave.” She whispered against his lips.

The evoked a true chuckle, “Trust me, Little Fox, I’m not going anywhere.”

The moment felt endearing, perfect as she stared up at him.

That was, until his fists took her slip and ripped it right down the middle as she squealed.

She wouldn’t have it any other way.

(General Information: Sevika is a character from Arcane. She's a gruff fighter with a metal arm prosthesis. She's also very responsible, intelligent, and will try to end confrontations peacefully if possible.)

Sevika would absolutely love and spoil you! She's really relieved to be with someone who she believes can actually handle themself. She does worry, nonetheless.

She doesn't have a lot of time on her hands, but she'll spend every moment possible with you. Loves spoiling you, just as you spoil her. When her (relatively large) paycheck comes in, she would absolutely love taking you shopping.

She loves your ambition! Whatever you plan to do in your adult life, she will support. She'll get you whatever you need and put as much of her spare time forward as possible.

She probably picks up little trinkets and bugs when she has the time? And (especially if you're forgetful) will leave it on counters/tables. Just little offerings she hopes you won't mention.

Sevika has a lot of trauma, and is surprisingly good at calming people down. She'll usually boss them around, get them functioning and then talk. But she can also be soft. Kneel down and pat, murmur, whatever needed. Whenever Sevika is dealing something, she tends to get irritable and might even cry a bit, quietly and alone. A good, warm meal will calm her enough to talk it over.

Sevika isn't really jealous, and she's fine with your being jealous as long as it doesn't prevent her from doing something. If it does, she'll sit you down and attempt to understand and better the situation.

I can see a lot of good communication in the relationship, and a lot of mutual spoiling (and breakdowns)!

shout out to opossumkin therians! just in general, we don't have much positivity posts for us yk?

Actually, love all you obscure kintype having folk! Opossums, bats, BUGS and arachnids, snails, any animal deemed "gross" or "pests" by society. Herbivores and prey, you guys are awesome too! Scavengers are also vital to the ecosystem and super cool.

Also, here's some things I've thought of for kintype connection tips for scavenger animals and insectivores:

- Go to thrift stores and pick out some clothes you like! They are usually cheap, and, it's pretty much just like scavenging!

- You can turn old clothes into fun DIY projects as well, if something dosnt fit you can cut it up and use it for patches on other clothes that are worn and torn up or you can use them as cleaning rags.

- If you feel up to it (and especially if your kintype is an insectivore), some stores sell bugs you can eat. I like the dried meal worms! I've seen them come in cheddar cheese and BBQ flavors :3

- if you don't wanna eat real bugs, there's gummy worms and gushers if you want something chewy and if you want a good crunch there's chips or pretzels!

- Since it can be hard to find gear for your kintype specifically, I suggest thinking about normal clothes you wear on the day to day and what you find is kintype affirming (maybe even post about it! let us know!). For example, I'm opossumkin and I've found fingerless gloves give me species euphoria since it makes my hands look like opossum ones! Get creative with what you wear and you may find that simple additions to your outfits can make a difference in how you feel.
