I think I just had a heart attack over dadness. One of my favourite tropes is dads being dads. Dads caring about their kid, blood or otherwise, so much that it just lights up their heart, takes over their life. No matter who the dad is, as long as they are soft for their child, will take on the universe for their kid, I'll love them.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I’m inspired to share some important insight on one of the pivotal challenge’s he faced. It’s a sad state when morals, and standards take a backseat to doing what’s right by our elected officials who treat our democracy as a toy that you can toss it around or ignore it or sit by and allow those who are dead set on destroying everything that Rev. Dr. King fought for. The hot space in hell is when you sit on the fence and do nothing. — Martin Luther King, Jr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day has become an informal benchmark against which to measure the country’s progress toward fulfilling the promise of equality and justice for all. In his May 1957 “Give Us the Ballot” speech in D.C., King called the right to vote one of “the highest mandates of our democratic tradition.” He cited a need for supporters “thoroughly committed to the ideal of racial justice,” not a “quasi-liberalism which is based on the principle of looking sympathetically at all sides … a liberalism so bent on seeing on all sides, that it fails to become committed to either side … a liberalism which is neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm.” Sort of resembles today’s liberals who enjoy running with the progressive rabbits, while baying like centrist hounds, leaving voting rights somewhere in the dust. —By Colbert I.
