Hello it me. As I wait for the next semester, I have decided to pick up on my French again! This time I have started a language journal, and also have three sources — Duolingo for speaking, YouTube for grammar and vocab, and LingoDeer for review.
I'm planning to be as consistent as possible — because I have a lot of emergency trips to my hometown in the next few days, I'm not sure if I will be able to attend the first few classes of the upcoming semester. But hopefully, I'm not too behind.
I'm recovering from my terrible pain days. I'm a little bummed that we're travelling again before I can recover fully, but hey life isn't fair. I need to try and get as much rest as possible.
Today was a really productive day in my opinion! I successfully completed all of my morning routine, and also got in a lot of studying done!
@studaxy and I started Duolingo as well!! I had started learning French way back in 2020 and I was able to read French way before choosing it as a language in school. I got back my language learning bug soooo wish me luck in that :3
Things I did today:
Thirty minutes of Duolingo
An hour of research for my English assignment. The topic of the assignment is "Performing Arts and the Freedom of Expression".
Two hours of physics — got some Module 3 reading done. Rotational motion is a vast concept but I'm pushing through somehow.
5 hours of focus today! We're making progress with the syllabus :3 4 days until exams begin. I feel only a little prepared, hopefully I become more confident soon.
I started working on my minor subjects today, and completed Unit 1 in Journalism. Its a pretty interesting subject, and i like studying it except for the times I don't like studying it fjsofjsodjs
I have 16 days for my semester exam, and I feel pretty confident :3
I have an exam in eight hours, and I haven't slept :D
My body is really taking a toll on me. Exams really increase my flares because I have to use my hand to write a lot, and also sit for two hours straight which really messes with my legs too. The brain fog is immense too fhsodjeir
Tell me about your worst exam season all nighters/experiences?
We're back to studying! After a long, tedious break, second semester has begun (it actually began two weeks ago so this means I'm two weeks behind on syllabus and honestly that's terrifying).
I began the day at 9am, despite being down with fever. I took it slow, finishing my morning routine and started studying some Java theory as that is the easiest subject this semester. It felt so nice to get back to academia after so many days of being stagnant. Hopefully I'm able to catch up with the syllabus soon!
I'm a beginner in app development, and I created this trashy notes app :) the colors are jarring because I was focusing more on functionality than appearance. This is pretty good for a beginner level ig?
Today was okay. I had a flare at a relatives' place so that was bad. My painkillers weren't helping me :( I can't figure out whether it is because the new painkillers are not suitable for me, or because my illness worsened.
I studied a little today, didn't have much energy. Journalled at night to wind down.
Happy Tamizh Puthhaandu to my fellow tamil tumblrinas! It has been a very productive day even though I woke up late. I did some DBMS theory for 3.5 hours, it's my weakest subject this semester. My brain is so muddled lol

It's only the third week of semester and I'm already kinda struggling—
Someone please tell me not to eat things out of spite that make your disability worse (currently having a flare and planning efficient lecture skips for tomorrow and also internally crying)
Exams in 2 months! Classes are going at a faster rate than usual, and I realised I was slowly falling behind again.
I got in 3 hours 21 minutes of focus today, 40 minutes of which was spent in the uni library tackling calculus. A calculus rant under the cut!
Things I did today:
30 minutes of Duolingo
Continued with Physics module 4.
Exercise problems of differential calculus module 2.
🎧 - New Romantics — Taylor Swift
So far what I understood about calculus is that it needs a lot of analysis. What I do is:
I first look at the problem, and see if I can simplify it (using trigonometric identities or theorems)
Then I recollect and write down the list of formulae that seem suitable for that problem.
Once I get an idea, I start working on the solution.
Since I'm pretty new to the subject, one problem takes almost thirty minutes for me to solve — and that's okay. I've set aside an hour for calculus everyday, so it gives me time to analyse one type of problem everyday. This way there is consistency, and I don't lose touch.
