Very excited for my bloodwork coming back this evening
Longer story ahead. Tw pregnancy and loss
Got my first period at the end of April after removing my nexplanon, got a weird vibe and got a positive pregnancy test right after it ended
Tests were slowly getting darker, but like, very slowly
Start bleeding and passing tissue the day before my 8 wk appt
Go to er that night because all that and my shoulder really hurts
Get diagnosed with ectopic in my right tube, not ruptured so don't really know why my shoulder hurts
Hcg looks like it might be starting to go down, but then it raises again
Have to choose to either have surgery to remove the tube, or get a methotrexate shot which stops rapid cell division and I can't breastfeed anymore
Hard wean baby, get the shot at a chemo center
4 days later get labs drawn and hcg has dropped by 600 when it could actually potentially rise a bit in this time period
3 days later is today and if it keeps dropping appropriately I can skip surgery and having to have the tube removed. My bit of "things going appropriately" lately

All I have left of my baby are four small incisions that will eventually fade but will forever be a reminder of everything I lost that day.

A Year after an Ectopic Pregnancy
-sigh
it's officially been a year since I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I remember the joy that filled me when the doctors came in and said "congratulations, you're pregnant", it was instant tears of happiness.
Only for that happiness to be destroyed in a quarter of a second. They came back in after the ultra sound, and they said they couldn't see anything. I immediately knew. "is it ectopic?" I questioned.
"yes."
So then my treatment had started, and though the zygote hadn't even been a creation for that long, I was already attached. Just because I knew I was pregnant, I was already attached to this clump of cells that wasn't going to grow into anything more. I'd hoped and wished and prayed that it would somehow travel down my fallopian tube and implant safely, but deep down I knew that wasn't the case. Not long after beginning treatment, I begin to miscarry. It was smooth, not very painful physically, but emotional wise is a whole different ballgame.
I was being ripped apart. However, I still carried on with life as if I wasn't affected. I still maintained my role in peoples lives as their support, their shoulder to cry on, and their outlet for anger. However I had none. Now I'm here a year later and it still hurts the same. I still year and long to have that baby who would've been 3 months on right now, in my arms. I grieved today, harder than I ever had this whole year. I'm excited to eventually get my rainbow at the end of the storm.
Someday

I keep thinking I’ve managed losing three babies last year, and that I can just go back to work and get used to things and that it’ll be okay.
I guess healing takes longer than planned in lots of ways. Grief isn’t linear, and maybe I need some time to sit and process and work on things.

Why I Want Abortion To Be Legal
Why I Want Abortion To Be Legal
Growing up, I was very much pro-life. I was raised in conservative evangelical Christianity: this is pretty much just a given when you’re in that camp. It’s assumed you hold the pro-life stance. And while people have varying degrees to which they agree with the stance (some may make exceptions for rape/incest for example), it is very common for pro-lifers to be adamantly against all abortions, no…

I mean from what we know of the British royals health has always been fine until this year
I mean, the Queen did die before this year and I haven’t looked it up but I believe death is a pretty serious health issue

Remember How "Prolifers" Swore They Knew an Ectopic Pregnancy Was Nonviable and Said We Were Fearmongering for Using It as an Example Against Abortion Bans?
According to a press release, Doe thought she might be pregnant in October 2022 and wanted to get an ultrasound. She found Clearway through an online search and got an appointment later that day. A Clearway nurse did an ultrasound and said the pregnancy was both viable and in her uterus; the suit says it’s against state medical regulations for registered nurses to read ultrasounds because they’re not licensed diagnosticians. A physician didn’t see Doe, though her discharge paperwork said a medical doctor provided her care. A month later, Doe felt shooting pain on her side and was so weak and lightheaded that her husband called 911, per the release. Emergency room doctors diagnosed her with a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and internal hemorrhage. In order to stop the hemorrhaging, doctors did emergency surgery in which they had to remove of one of her fallopian tubes. None of this should have been necessary, as legitimate medical providers would have ended Doe’s life-threatening pregnancy with medication—typically the cancer drug methotrexate.

Got a fun little navelfucking story for ya. Was laid up in bed with the wife the other night and she starts stroking my shit. Stops halfway and bends my dick up so it touches my belly button and proceeds to squeeze all the precum into it. "You're pregnant now!" She said before we both lost our shit laughing
you laugh but that's sorta how it happened one time like theres a whole story about how semen got absorbed into the skin to cause a pregnancy its actually kinda crazy that a lot of people haven't heard of it
