Making a new post since things are getting really bad again and we're in desperate need of help at the moment. For those who don't know me, you can call me Link (he/him), I'm a homeless artist and since November 2021 my family and I (father and younger sibling) have been homeless and living out of a motel. Since we don't have any family or friend support, or a way to get a job at the moment, I've been doing commissions to try and keep us fed and housed until something changes. I'll put some receipts below.

Ever since the rents been raised here, it's been a bit troublesome trying to cover things day by day, which we rarely can do. Even food is something that we can't afford sometimes. Right now, we're in that sort of state. So far, we haven't been able to cover the room for two days and getting food has been very difficult for us due to the lack of work. We owe 200$ for the room tomorrow (rent is 65$ a day). While the people here are nice and give us extensions with time and such, we were told if we can't pay tomorrow then we would be kicked out. We have nowhere to go if that happens, no family or friends we can stay with.

So, I'm opening commissions to try and stop that from happening. I'll put some examples and prices below. I mainly draw fantasy oriented stuff such as DnD, Dragon Age, Baldurs Gate, etc. but I can do OCS of any genre/variety. My turn around time is varied depending on the commission and our living situation since it's very unpredictable. For smaller commissions, I take around two weeks. And for bigger ones it could take up to two weeks to a month. Again that could vary. I don't do heavy gore, anything weird or NSFW (I've never drawn it so I'm not confident in selling it). Also, refunds cannot be given. If there's anything that needs to be changed about a commission, I will do it free of charge but refunds are something we can't do due to us needing to use the funds immediately. Either for food or the room.

Emergency Gofundme

I'm trying this one last time. My wife and I have until the 26th to find some sort of housing to avoid losing all 5 of our cats and living out of our car. We can't get approved for any housing because I don't have a job and/or because our credit is so bad. We've tried everything we can think of, like asking friends and family for housing, looking for loans, and trying state services, but nothing has come through for us. At this point, we need to get an extended stay at a hotel or an air bnb so that I have time to find a job and we can hopefully qualify somehwere. There's more details on the gofundme page. One of my cats, Pounce, has unfortunately come down with a cancerous tumor that means her leg needs to be amputated in a 2,000 dollar surgery. Hi, I’m Wheatley, I’m a 24 year old agender individual living in the Bay Area.

Earlier this month I quit my second job because of being overworked, underpaid, and working in close proximity to sexual predators. I myself suffered abuse from one these individuals, and my HR reports changed nothing. I quit without a back up job.

After some searching I found another job but was hurt during the training portion, and they chose not to move forward with my employment there.

I’ve been shoplifting from grocery stores to feed myself, or exploiting the fact my medication acts as an appetite suppressant.

I haven’t been able to pay rent on time this entire year so I’m planning on moving to a cheaper place. The problem is that I have nowhere enough money in my bank account to pay a deposit for my future housing & my security deposit money for my current place will be tied up until my landlady does repairs. I am saving as much as I possibly can before my lease ends on 5/31/23. Moving back home is NOT an option, I’d really rather avoid moving back in with my abusive family if I can help it.

I'm so sorry to have to ask, but I had a bit of a curveball thrown at me. The job I had restructured my life for let me go unexpectedly this past week. After moving cross country and having a few unexpected emergencies come up, my savings was basically drained shortly before taking this job. I've applied for unemployment and submitted everything needed, I just have no estimated turnaround time for the claim, and so have no idea how long it will be before I will get paid.

Hello everyone.

You've seen me ask for help a few times over the past year and change and I'm indescribably grateful to all of you who helped us, but I have to put myself out here and ask for assistance one last time.

We just received an intent to evict notice. We have 9 days from today (11/22/23) to pay the full balance or action will be taken to begin repossession of our home.

We had been paying off our back rent steadily, throwing as much of our paychecks at the hole every two weeks like clockwork, over the past months and it was working. We were climbing, albeit very slowly, out of the hole and keeping ahead of any action like this by clearing the back balance out. But my husband lost his job in August because someone several cities away decided having a court appearance on record for back rent was sufficient grounds for firing. With that, suddenly we couldn't do it. We still put everything we could towards the rent, everything of my paychecks and his unemployment except the bare minimum to pay other bills and keep us fed, but it wasn't enough. He has just gotten a new job and we've started paying more again, but it was too late to clear that last back edge of the rent timer.

Please, please, anything you can do to help is appreciated. We don't want to lose our home. I'm not even sure where we would go.

Making a new post to hopefully get some work for my family and I so we have somewhere to stay for tonight, since work has been very slow lately. I'm Link, and I'm a 22-year old artist, and my family and I (me + my father and younger sibling) have been homeless since November 2021. It's a long story. TL;DR version is at the same time, while I was living with a friend and my dad + younger sibling was on the road (he drove a van at the time) he had gotten into a diabetic coma and was fired by his job. Being fired meant he or my sibling didn't exactly have a home to go back to, as our relatives on both sides refused to help. At the same time, I was going to have to find someplace else since my friends grandmother was entering the late stages of her life and they had to transfer her to the nursery, meaning there was a lot of things his family had to take care of and I couldn't be there. They allowed my father, sibling and I to stay there for two weeks to give us time to find someplace else.

While I was there, I'd been doing commissions to help their family out with food, and since it was either the streets or living under a roof; I told my friend to take us to a nearby motel since we had enough for a day, and we could figure things out from there. So since then, I've been keeping us here by doing commissions ever since. Either of us haven't been able to obtain a job yet due to how hard it is for us to get our documents to get an id (we dont have a car at the moment, and saving money for the room and food is already tough as is), but recently we think we might be able to get my father's ID so he can work, were waiting on his lung condition to recover fully and get money saved up for the documents and all that before we apply to get them. So hope isn't fully lost for us, we just need to take care of some things for a while longer until then.

Recently, things have gotten worse again. We were paying weekly thanks to the help from my followers and commissions I was getting, but when we weren't able to pay for another, we went back to paying daily again. And immediately we were set back. For the past few days, we haven't been able to pay for one let alone food. We were able to pay most of it to at least stay here, thanks to the kindness of the staff, but they called us earlier to tell us if we couldn't pay everything tonight, then we'd have to leave. We owe 120 by 11pm tonight, and I thought maybe making a new post might help us since posting on my other socials hasn't done much for us lately.

My commissions are open, and if you're interested in helping us out via a commission you can contact me through my Tumblr dms since it's the easiest way to get to me. But if you can't help financially, which I totally understand, I know the economy is tough on all of us right now, please don't feel bad or anything. Help needed

So, it seems like everything in my life is going downhill, and my wife and I really need help. My wife was unemployed for a total of about 5 months in 2023, and it caused us to go deeply into debt and get behind on our rent payments. We are currently over one month behind on rent, and our leasing company has decided to evict us. We will be evicted on February 25th, which is about a month away.

I lost my job on 1/8, and I was the breadwinner between the two of us. I've been doing door dash to try and make what I can, but with all the gas I use I'm only making about $50 a day. We only have one car and no public transportation around us, so it's very hard for me to find a new job (I am trying). It needs to be close enough to my wife's job that we can carpool.

We are extremely worried about having nowhere to go after we get evicted. Rent in our state is crazy and we have barely 500 saved. We have a court date next week for expired tags on our car where we will have to pay a fine. My wife also has asthma and no health insurance currently (it starts in February), so we're going to have to pay $200 for one of her inhalers this week.

I'm very worried about being able to find a place if i don't have a job. Even if I get a new job before we're evicted, which I hopefully will, I won't have a very long employment history which is something that leasing offices look for. We also have very bad credit due to our debts from the past year.

We've tried reaching out to friends and family, but no one can accommodate us. We have five cats, and it would be impossible to live in our small sedan with all of them, especially in February, which is the snowiest month in our state. If we lose our cats, I'm really not sure how we will handle that. They are our babies and family.

If anyone can help us out by donating to us or sharing this post, it would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to look into every resource possible but with only a month until we have to move out, we're really scared that we're going to be pushed into losing our cats and living out of our car.
