Hey, so I'm bored and decided to do a bit of a minor redesign session for my Bois. My clone bois. I haven't done all of them, I basically just started. Anyway, here's Dante ( Skeleton clone from kindred spirits for the uninitiated) in his human form/half.
Tumblr media
The ink stained the paper ( I smudged it ) so I put some blocks of colour behind him. It actually looks good. Anyway, as I was making these, I drew a tiny bow thing by accident and I realised that out of all my designs, he would look the most like Vlad's biological son, even if his colouring is way different ( I imagine he leans towards Maddie in his genes, he looks closer to Jazz than Danny ) so I thought it was a neat idea and wanted to try leaning into it.
The first draft I realised I did his nose wrong ( I love his lil hooked nose, it fits better) and from there it was just experimenting with the outfit and hair messiness.
Personally, I like the two in the middle best - again he looks a bit like Vlad and I realised it's a happy accident I could lean into - but I think any of these work. I could probably just assume he has more than one pair of overalls/jumpsuits but... Eh, I like toying with clothing.
Here are some minor sketches in my own style I did for fun! •^•
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A part of me wanted to make it so Dante was actually made using Vlad DNA... But I actually think it'd be more fun if his grandparents on Maddie's side just had those genes, and he looks like Vlad on accident.
He's also basically the one I'd least like to tweak. My boi is beautiful already. But I do want to change something about the other two's designs. I suppose I'll post those when I do that as well.
Oh, and maybe I should draw a Danno or two to lure unsuspecting phans into the ' clones had lives actually, and that's a great sort of angst because Vlad's A+ parenting and Danny's lack of awareness of the fact all of them were conscious at some point leaves so much to toy and play with in terms of both fluff and angst ' pit! OwO
Who knows? Hope you have a pleasant scroll through tumblr •^•

Danny is a house husband.
That's it, that's all it is.
As the years went on. Danny retired from being a superhero. There was no need for Phantom when the GIW were dealt with and all the ghosts were under control.
Now what's left for him to do but to just sit back, relax, and finally be able to live his life.
Sam and Tucker on the other hand....
Well, they had plenty of pent up rage, wits, and chaos inside their mind to become villains.
But they had one rule.
Never bring work home and to never involve Danny in any of their supervillain business.
Okay that's technically two rules, but they're kind of synonymous especially since Danny has been taking care of their house while also entertaining himself with trying new hobbies.
Tucker and Sam both make sure that they never bring any of their villainy home to Danny, because all they want is for Danny to enjoy his happy hero retirement.
And Danny in turn, doesn't bat an eye when watching the news and seeing that there were magical plants that were attacking sites that oil companies were digging or that somehow Lex Luthor had lost five hundred million dollars and had somehow leaked records showing he was building weapons of mass destruction.
He also doesn't bat an eye when he sees that Tucker had brought home a telescope that definitely looks like it came from some fancy lab because hey, Tucker was making him an observatory so he can look at the stars and planets. While also how they were able to make a great gaming pc with computer parts that are definitely not sold in stores, because hey at least the newest update of Doomed wasn't lagging.
Or that Sam comes home with various plants and animals that are definitely not from planet earth, but hey the three headed wolf-lizard-eagle- hybrid thing (that Danny has affectionately named Fluffy) is pretty great at keeping the pests away from his vegetable garden and likes to eat any of Danny's new food creations and is a great playmate for Cujo.
So you can imagine how the Justice League thinks when dealing with the pair of new villains: Upload (Tucker) and Sam (I could not think of a villain name that would suit her, so it's up to you what you think her villain name would be)
And how they were currently wreaking havoc in the city either by cyber warfare with robots or by magic plant monster or a Frankenstein of both approaches. The heroes had all evacuated the civilians from the battle zone and are currently fighting a losing battle. When they've been effectively captured and restrained by the two. Right before the villains could go into a monologue, they hear a person clearing their throat.
Everybody looks to see a 25 year old man wearing a sweater vest (he made it himself, thank you very much) currently holding onto the leash of a giant glowing green dog and some kind of giant animal hybrid. The man's arms were crossed and was currently not sporting a very happy look on his face.
Tucker and Sam (looking at Danny with hesitant smiles): Hi honey.
Danny (frowning): you missed our anniversary dinner.
Tucker and Sam both pale as they quickly realized what the date and time was.
The league all watch as Sam and Tucker immediately start apologizing to the man that just walked into a battle zone.
Danny (still frowning): Hmph! I guess since you two didn't want dinner you can go back to your little fight. Don't expect me to make you any lunches for the next month, and since you two are having so much fun here, you'll be sleeping by yourselves for the next couple weeks.
The league all watch as they were let go as Sam and Tucker yell as they run after Danny yelling apologies as he was walking away from them.
This is not the last they see of Danny.
When Danny is displeased with either of his partners, he'll invite a hero over to have lunch of afternoon tea.

See, Lethal Company's real genius is that it somehow marries two normally opposed genres, those being horror and comedy together into something greater. Mechanically it's a multiplayer looter extraction survival type game. It's designed to create stressful and scary situations by forcing you to speedrun mini randomized dungeons while monsters hunt your character to meet a certain quota (our asses are not making quota). That's not the clever part though, no, that's giving the players the ability to fuck themselves over and the hilarity that comes from it.
Anything you say into your mic is said in the game world and can be heard by certain monsters. Many items, similarly, can be used to make noise and you can bet there is little impulse control when a player finds an air horn or gets a walkie talkie. The sound of a distant honk somewhere out of nowhere is not something most players are prepared for while in a pitch black maze. Sound in this game has a doppler effect, which makes it harder to hear the further away the source is, allowing screams to fade into nothing and unintelligible yelling heard for a second before vanishing. You must rely on your senses but those are, by design, limited and regularly tricked.
Because level layouts, monster locations, and item spawns are all random, it's insanely easy to get lost or lose track of thigs, especially in the dark and especially when panicking. Seeing a bracken for the first time will almost certainly send a player running in the opposite direction and get lost, if they even see it all. No one is prepared to have a hand wrap around their face and snap their neck in an instant. It's utterly shocking and will leave you gasping in surprise to first time you experience it.
Certain weather patterns make levels harder, some even nearly impossible (looking at you eclipse), and sometimes your options are avoiding deadly lightning or not being able to see due to fog. High level moons have excessively valuable loot but also feature the worst foes and cost a fee to access, forcing a compromise between greed, ability, and resources.
Dying, likewise incurs a penalties. Your team is fined for dying and not bringing the bodies back but if you all die, all your collected loot goes poof. Gone. A team wipe can and will effectively end the run in an instant if you do something stupid like stick around when you hear "pop goes the weasel" or try to pick up that funny looking roomba. You can almost feel the pressure weighing down on your shoulders when you realize you're the last one left and you need to get back to the ship or miss the quota.
The monsters likewise, are engines of terror that are comically effective killing machines with no cohesive theme to help anticipate them. The already mentioned bracken is one of the scariest things I've seen in a game, and those technically aren't even that bad. They're completely manageable if you keep your head on a swivel and pay attention to your surroundings. Coilheads are these mannequins with bobble heads that will path to and kill you in a microsecond the moment you aren't looking at them, weeping angel style. There's a thing called the ghost girl that I have yet to see but is apparently one of the most terrifying critters in the menagerie. Forest giants. If you know, you know.
All these little mechanics, these choices that are made by and for the player, create a maelstrom of unpredictable chaos that, like a buxom blond transforming into an orgasming pooltoy, turns what would be strictly serious horror into a unique form of dark comedy that layers over it like jelly on peanut butter. You are scared, you are on edge, and it only gets worse when you know what these things are capable of, but the sheer hopelessness is something you all have in common. It's funny how little hope you have. You will die. A monster will wipe your team. There will eventually come a quota you can't beat. You were doomed from the start.
So why not get silly with it? Why not try to fight that bracken with shovel? Fuck him. Why not just run past a turret and try to nab that fat jar of pickles? Why not wander off from the group? You're just as likely to come back with arms loaded and the quota met as you are likely to not come back at all. You're already dead, so take the gamble, do stupid shit, repeat this hell until you can meet its horrors with grim determination and put in the effort to afford that goddamn boombox. Dance. Just press 1 and dance the fear away.
You are all united in your mortality and duty, fragile sacks of flesh working to break even at the behest of perhaps the greatest horror of all: The company you work for. You are so preposterously fucked beyond all belief from every angle there really isn't enough adjectives to describe it. And that's comedy baby, when things are so bad all you can do is laugh.

Chapter 110 is 13 pages long welcome to hell!!! so in a lot of ways this is just more fuel for a theory that I've had for a few weeks now, that's only gotten stronger with each recent season 5 episode, which is that the last episode of the season is gonna end on 110, and that Asagiri/Harukawa and Bones have been collaborating to make this happen, specifically because it's a major turning point that would be the only good place to end the season on.
When we started getting especially long chapters again (like from 25-35ish pages, with the exception of 107.5, the last two being some of the longest we've ever had), at first I just assumed that Asagiri/Harukawa got freed up from some other obligations they'd been having to cause the extremely short/half chapters, like promotional stuff for the anime/Beast movie, or working on light novels. But then 109 happened, with the "supposed" death of Dazai, and heavy emphasis at the end on how literally everyone is at their lowest point right now, and I got to thinking. 11 episodes is a strangely specific number for an anime season -- why not 12, or 13, or even 10, like you'd usually see? Why have we gotten suddenly gotten two 35 page chapters out of nowhere, that's almost unheard of at this point? They're both beautiful chapters, don't get me wrong (as always), and maybe A/H simply just didn't want to cut them in halves because they felt like the full emotional impact wouldn't hit/that there were no good cutoff points in them, but you can't deny that it's surprising, after all the shorter chapters we've been getting. Why has the anime been going at such insanely breakneck pacing for the most part ever since around the Sunday Tragedy chapters, even more so than it has in the past? So much so that it feels dangerously close to overtaking the manga?
Well, maybe, just maybe, it's because..... Asagiri decided a long time ago that whatever happens in 110 is the only point that feels "season finale"-worthy enough, in an arc that still isn't anywhere close to being completely wrapped up, and so both the manga and the anime have been specifically coordinated to reach that part within 2 and a half weeks of each other?
I've seen a lot of people now think season 5 will end with 109, and as much as my sadistic side would find that hilarious, I honestly don't think they'd do that and realistically don't want it to happen; it'd be so cruel to cliffhanger the anime for years like that, and just doesn't feel like a season cliffhanger BSD would do, a series that is ultimately hopeful and uplifting. Seasons 2 and 3 had a positive, conclusive ending; the only reasons seasons 1 and 4 didn't was because they're technically not really full seasons of their own, and are more like the first cour of another "season" that also came out that same year (seasons 1 and 2 both aired in 2016, so they're more like one big season, and seasons 4 and 5 have both aired this year, so they're also more like one big season, again taking into account how episodes 12 and 50 are not satisfying finales like episodes 24, 37, and hypothetically, 61, are). I really can't see season 5 ending with Dazai and Fukuzawa's supposed deaths, Sigma being unconscious and maybe close to death, Atsushi being vulnerable and limbless again, everyone we love still vampires, and the entire world being basically doomed; that's just too depressing and not like BSD at all. However, having said that, if it doesn't end there, there really isn't any good place to end the season before that, either, that feels in any way satisfying or like a finale at all. And so, to me, that only leaves after 109: chapter 110.
I think things are really gonna turn around next chapter. Like I said, everyone is at their lowest point right now, it cannot possibly get any worse, the framing of Dazai, Fukuzawa, and sskk at the end of 109 is telling us that; this is the time for the heroes to finally start winning again, with Aya being so close to pulling out the sword, and for all the thematic reasons other people have talked about to death that I don't need to go into here again. This upcoming chapter being so short again makes a part of me wary of 110 being "the one", so to speak, I won't lie, but at the same time, it's very possible that it needs to be that short because that's all the final episode of the season will be able to reasonably fit in, since it's already gonna be VERY close if they do make it all the way to 109. And at the end of the day, I don't doubt at all that Asagiri and Harukawa can make these the most monumental and game-changing mere 13 pages ever if they wanted to; a chapter does not at all need to be extremely long in order to be an important and impactful one, even if short ones we've gotten in the past haven't felt the most important.
An additional thought I've had, though this is much more crack territory than all this already is, is that since we know from Anime Expo that a Stormbringer movie at some point is highly likely (judging from Asagiri's reaction when someone brought it up), it's possible that chapter 110 and thus the final episode will involve the long-anticipated return of Verlaine and/or Adam, or at least some other major reference to Stormbringer, that would naturally and smoothly lead into a Stormbringer movie to explain things to people who haven't read the novel. It would make a lot of sense, especially since the s4 OP has the Old World sign behind Chuuya, which might be a hint that this has been in the works ever since seasons 4/5 were first in planning with Asagiri. We also know that Dazai and Chuuya's voice actors apparently struggled to record their lines together this season, which probably relates to 101 and possibly 109, but it could be 110 too.... I could be very wrong, as I'm no expert on this kind of thing, but I kinda doubt they would bring Chuuya's actor in for just the vampire growls, and Asagiri placing heavy emphasis on Chuuya's importance this season in that one interview gives me the impression that he's talking about much more than just 101/109. But that's the least solid evidence I have, that's just mostly based on vibes I get.
So basically, I think a lot of factors -- the unusual episode count, how close the anime is to catching up to the manga with three whole episodes left, the seemingly arbitrary recent chapter lengths, and the climactic events of 109 -- can tell us that 110 might be a very, VERY big deal. Again, there's of course no way this arc is anywhere near close to being finished, with so much left to address and resolve, but since it is currently incomplete in the manga, unlike the previously adapted arcs, if the anime was going to adapt it at all, they'd have to find a place that feels satisfying enough to end this season, knowing there won't be more anime for a long time after this, and so I think they specifically planned for that, from both Bones' and A/H's sides. 10 episodes might not have been enough to reach that point, but 12 or 13 might have been too many it wouldn't have been if Bones actually decided to slow down and let the story breathe the way it needs to, but this post isn't meant to criticize the anime, so maybe 11 was just right. And maybe Asagiri and Harukawa specifically pushed to make recent chapters longer than usual, in order to make sure that the manga reached the story content in 110 the monthly release right before season 5 was to end.
Is this just copium? Absolutely. Am I going to look like an absolute clown in two days when this post ages like milk? Probably. But the evidence is There, so let me just enjoy my delusions until Sunday, okay 🥂🫡
#bungou stray dogs#seriously call me a clown and point and laugh at me if I'm proven wrong all you want#but I really feel like there's solid evidence for this#either s5 isn't gonna reach 109 at all (but I seriously cannot fathom where you would want to stop before then) or they'll go beyond it#if they really do end it with 109....... well i'll give Bones kudos for having the balls to do that ig lol#maybe i'm underestimating (overestimating???) them idk#also just to clarify I don't wanna make it sound like I think Asagiri let the anime/Bones dictate the manga's pacing#like I'm sure these were his/their (him and Harukawa's) own decisions first and foremost#not that (if this theory is true) the anime had a major impact on how the chapters were split and that it-#-would have been extremely different otherwise#i'm pretty confident in that Asagiri does not do anything with BSD he isn't comfortable with#and he doesn't let anyone tell him how to write his story#I just feel like he worked with Bones to make this near-simultaneous release happen#BUT if this is the case I don't feel like it had any major effect on the writing/final product that is the manga#like the last handful of chapters have been so incredible#so I at least am still perfectly happy lol#(i mean i'm devastated and a nervous wreck but u know 🫡 in a good way lmao)#anyway 110 in two days please let this theory be true because I need some fucking hope already#please let Oda show up as Dazai's guardian angel to help (see what I did there-)#it would be the perfect way to end the collective season that is 4/5 with s4 beginning with Oda and now ending with Oda#Asagiri are you reading me are you picking up what I'm putting down please please a ghost Oda is long overdue please-#Oda Verlaine Adam just GIVE ME SOMEONE ALREADY 😭😭😭#MAYBE EVEN A TASTE OF THE FYODOR BACKSTORY TO TIE INTO HIM BEING IN ANIME UNTOLD ORIGINS. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

I'm very definitively positive on clone/Jedi relationships, both platonic and romantic.
I'm going to hit the biologically children thing first because like... no, they're not. If you want to go that route, then you have to count Grogu as a middle aged adult because he's 50 years old even though his official name for a while was literally "The Child" and he's definitely treated like a child in the narrative more often than he isn't. Jango Fett was (as far as I'm aware) a regular human. The clones, the altered ones at least (so not Omega or Boba), are almost an entirely different species. They LOOK human, but they've been engineered to be different from the baseline human they were based off of to the point that they aren't necessarily all that similar to a regular human beyond cosmetics. So if you don't view them as "fucked up humans who should be treated like children because they're technically only 10 years old" and instead view them as "subspecies of human that reaches maturity around 9 years old", then it's a lot harder to view them as children.
I think that it's fair to claim that the clones are SHELTERED and likely fairly ignorant and naive about a lot of things in the world due to their upbringing, sure, but that doesn't make them children. They're also relatively young regardless of whether you'd consider them children or not, the youngest ones we know about are sent out to war at what would be the equivalent of about 20 years old and they're only around 26ish by the time the war ENDS. So even accounting for the accelerated aging, they're still pretty young and there's going to be a lot about the galaxy and how to live in it that would be new to them. Their understanding of how relationships work is going to be skewed given everything we know about their childhoods and the way the Kaminoans canonically seem to view them.
So I think that the Jedi and clones would likely often end up in a sort of mentor/mentee relationship, especially in the beginning. We see this most strongly with Yoda and the three Coruscant Guard characters and Plo Koon with the three 104th characters in the first four episodes of season 1, as well as with Shaak Ti and Fives and Echo during the Clone Cadets episode of season 3. The Jedi are natural teachers and I think they'd start to get to know these young men who are so devastatingly intelligent but who were only ever taught about how to fight a war and they'd immediately take the opportunity to help guide the clones towards figuring out who they are and who they want to be. We're pretty much told that this is true point blank when I believe it's Nala Se or Lama Su speaks to Dooku during season 6 and they say that the Jedi have been encouraging individuality in the clones. Fives says that the Jedi respect the clones and calls the Jedi their best friends at two separate points in the narrative. The Jedi literally use their OWN PHILOSOPHIES to help the clones learn what it means to be PEOPLE and to embrace that for themselves.
The relationship between the Jedi and the clones is honestly one of the most beautiful and heartwrenching dynamics in the entirety of Star Wars to me. Their destinies are entwined irrevocably and they are each the others' doom and salvation all at once. The Jedi help the clones discover who they are, but they're also going to end up being the reason the clones lose all sense of themselves. The clones are a light in the dark for the Jedi during the war, but they're also going to be the weapon that helps plunge the entire world into darkness by eliminating the Jedi. These two groups that are SO similar in so many ways but for vastly different reasons who are thrown together by forces beyond either of their control and learn to understand each other better than anyone else ever has and love and trust each other implicitly for it and that love and trust is then used to destroy them both. It's absolutely devastating and really gets me in those feels.
As far as romantic ships, I sort-of said my piece on the age thing earlier, but I honestly find that fussing about characters' ages in Star Wars is more ridiculous than it usually is. These characters are literally ALIENS and it's a universe where human characters who are twelve years old are allowed to hold office. I have my personal preferences in terms of clone/Jedi ships, but I am a very ship and let ship sort of person (yes, even with the ships I DESPISE), so I'm not going to make a big deal out of clone/Jedi ships. I also like clone/clone ships which tons of people find problematic for other reasons, so whatever.
I HAVE seen the superior/subordinate thing get addressed in clone/Jedi fics before. Sometimes it ends in the characters deciding to wait until after the war and when the clones are given rights and official citizenship status or something before they begin a romantic relationship, and sometimes it ends in the characters recognizing that a lot of the rules shouldn't really matter when they're at war and they could die literally any day and they deserve to find happiness and pleasure where they can find it so long as they work to ensure that this doesn't impact their respective responsibilities. Again though, this is a space fantasy and absolutely nobody on the writing staff for The Clone Wars was taking the structure and internal dynamics of this fantasy military particularly seriously, so I'm not sure why I or anyone else should have to if they don't want to.
So yeah, I love relationships between the clones and Jedi, it's probably my favorite dynamic in the whole franchise, regardless of whether it's platonic or romantic.

Can i requst paltonic Optimus x sparkling reader lost his sparkling that was 6 years old in the war but he like endlessly dreams of them being alive intill his child says that he need to wake up or somthing like rachet or that waking him up when he realize it was all a dream he Technically has a breakdown (somthing like that if you want to write it just wanted to request somthing sad)
TFP Optimus Prime x Lost Sparklinng Reader
Optimus is the sire, and Elita 1 is the carrier to a sparkling reader
Reader is the child of Optimus Prime
Reader is gender neutral
There may or may not be a part two for this one as well 👀
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He is walking around, but he can't exactly recall knowing where he is, but it feels familiar. The sounds around him are especially familiar though. The little patter of small pedes trailing behind and jumping all around him. A small sparkling with soft features and a big smile. Their smooth plating forming points and ripples where their armor starts growing in over their protoform. The mere sight of the sparkling fills the Prime with serenity, a loving smile spreading across his face.
You're so little, so fragile compared to himself. He towers over you. How you adore him. "Will I be as big as you someday, sire?" You ask ecstatic.
He nods down at you before lifting you up. "You will grow with time, little one. But for now, focus on your fun. It won't last very long." Your servos on his shoulders. A low thrum from a distant explosion rumbles and shakes the ground beneath them. Optimus digs his heels into the ground before he spins around, only. He's empty-handed when he does. Where did you go? Panic rises in his throat. His sparkling, where is his sparkling?
"Sire!" You scream from somewhere far away. He runs towards your voice, but them he hears you shout from somewhere else. "Sire!" He turns. But soon he hears you from all around.
"Where are you?!" he cries, looking every which way. You're in danger, and you need him, but he can't find you. He looks around a bit more before he hears you behind him.
"Sire?" He looks over his shoulder. You're right there looking up at him. With a shaky sigh, he falls to his knees and pulls you close to his chassis. When he pulls away to look at you, you have a blank face. "It's time to wake up." Another distant explosion shakes the ground.
"What?" He's deeply confused.
Boom!
Another tremor in the ground shakes him a little more violently. "Wake up, Optimus." Your mouth moves, but Ratchet's voice comes out.
"What?" You're gone. It was a dream. The dark, cracked ceiling of the base just overhead.
"Optimus." Ratchet shakes him a little again. The prime looks to the side to see a concerned medic. "Are you alright?" His digits rub at his cheek to wipe the coolant away. Without a word, Optimus sits up and grabs onto Ratchet and just hugs him. More coolant streams down his face.
"How could I lose them? My own sparkling? What kind of sire am I to allow them to slip through my digits? I doomed them. Sentenced them to death because of this foolish war." Once again, he is tormented by your absence. Where did you go? Did someone kill you and bury you on Cybertron before he could find out? Did someone take you?
If someone had taken you, he could only hope that they did it to save you from your sires ill fate this war has yet to fulfill. He prays every day to Primus that you are cared for and loved. Shielded from the pain of reality. Ratchet has heard these questions before, heard his dear prime blame himself, and grieve over your loss. And every time he sounds more broken and pained than the last. He holds the prime in turn, arms tight around his shoulders as he cries silently into the red and white chassis of his friend.
"Optimus-" Ratchet starts only to be cut off by the large mech.
"What if someone took them? Do you think they're being taken care of? Do you think they might be being trained to fight?" His fears coming to the light. He doesn't want you to be taught how to fight. Doesn't want you to know how to wield a sword. Can't stand the thought of you being manipulated into fighting on someone's behalf, and the thought makes his grip tighten on the medic. "I miss them so much. They were the only peice of Elita I had left."
Ratchet feels a knot in his tanks at the thought of all that Optimus has lost. Everyone has lost someone or something to this war. But the loss Optimus has suffered, endured. It's a different kind that causes a specific kind of suffering. Elita was lost and avenged yes, but the sparkling was taken with none to blame. No traces or leads to their whereabouts. Even with his love avenged, there is a hole in his spark that will never be filled and has, in fact, grown larger with your disappearance.
The loss of a sparkling was common, a little too common for anybot's liking. But Ratchet met you, knew the kind little bot you were, and hoped to see you evolve. He misses you, too. You were so young and impressionable and curious with one goal in mind. To impress your sire and the others you looked up to. Optimus was already so proud of you, and when Ratchet found him standing on a pile of offlined Decpeticons, angry, scared, and sad, he knew something was wrong. And something has been wrong since.
He tries not to bond with the children, but he cares for them and wants to keep them safe. He just doesn't want to risk getting too close. Ratchet rubs his back affectionately as he cries into his neck. He's so frustrated. He misses you. He wonders what you're like now, if you look like him or Elita more. If you're still kind and curious. He wonders if you're mad at him.
He imagines that if he finds you, you will be angry. Kicking and screaming at him. Holding a sword to him while you glare into his optics. He can already see the hatred in your small optics and feel the loathing creeping from the crevices in your armor. But he misses you so much. He loves you so much that he would accept it. He would accept your hatred and allow you to strike him down like earth's lightning.
"I just," He squeezes harder, trying to hold back a hiccup, " I want to see them at least, see them in passing or feel them."
"I know." Ratchet whispers softly as he continues petting at his back.
"Their little pedes and servos. How their digits would hold onto the edges of my frame." His voice starts increasing in pitch. "How they would squeal when Ironhide chased them around. Always 'why this' and 'why that's, remember?" He's tired. Losing energy fast Ratchet notes.
"I remember. Lay down." And he does. He lays back with Ratchet still in his arms.
"Every time I look up at the stars of this planet, I feel like I can see them. They would be older, taller with better armor. Younger than Bumblebee but older still." His optics begin to flutter as he struggles to keep them open. "I have to protect Bumblebee. I couldn't protect my own sparkling, but I can try to keep Bee safe, can't I?"
"Shhhhh, you need to rest, Optimus." Ratchet coos. He thinks he might just rest with him. He's already here, and it doesn't seem Optimus will let him go anytime soon. The loss of this sparkling amongst many has proven to have taken a bigger toll on the two. The possibility of Optimus being able to pass his own primehood to his child, to pass down the responsibility of possibly bringing peace back to Cybertron, is gone with them.
As they lay there drifting into recharge together, a shuttle enters the earth's solar system. Primes message is being relayed through the ships audio system. A servo holds onto the accelerator tightly as the blue planet comes into view. The creased optic ridge of the pilot causes their optics to narrow and glow brightly.

Started off looking like more of some .. creature than a hedgehog
Like way too many or not enough limbs, especially because of the Black Doom DNA
I'm imagining him having one eye and being more of a scaly texture but still oddly goopy lol as well as not having hands or fingers and instead having some tentacle type things
Between getting experimented on and his normal growth he eventually grew to look like a normal mobian hedgehog with some key differences
The differences being, the whites of his eyes having a light green tint, too many teeth, every joint is double jointed, quills that are unable to fold down/look relaxed, sharp claws, etc, etc
I also think it'd be fun if one of his feet had one or two extra toes :3
I think at some point during his development he looked like Stitches alien form (from Lilo and stitch)
Whether he can still regrow the limbs now, Gerald manually rewrote his DNA, or one day he just lost the ability to use them is up to you bc idk
Maria watched Shadow grow up essentially from a weird amoeba looking splotch to a semi grown Hedgehog
I headcanon that Shadow's body didn't look like it does now when he originally went into stasis, and he grew while in containment
Hedgehogs aren't supposed to lose quills unless they're under high stress. I think Shadow sheds a lot by nature, and he frequently has to brush his quills to make room for the new ones growing
Teaching Shadow to talk was a rough process. Mostly because he didn't always.. have a mouth.. or hands... so Maria and Gerald had to be on top of figuring out new ways to communicate, just in case
Perfecting his design was painful, Shadow could gain or lose random parts of his body, organs could be grown wrong and bones had to be corrected and moved over and over again, just for the sake of a "perfect" life form
They'd put Shadow back in the Green Tube when they knew a long process was going to be painful, but sometimes he would need to be awake so they could watch his development, but I would hope at least Maria would fight for these processes to be as few and far between as possible
The first words Shadow said were "Maria", "sister", and "pick up"
It took years before Gerald was finally happy with Shadow's look, and even after that he was still being experimented on to track the progression of his steadily growing powers
Things like his enhanced memory, speed, agility, strength, etc
I think Shadow was given his inhibitor rings for ease of retrieval and containment, and it was an easy way to keep track of his powers while not letting him over use them
This is not to say there was nothing redeemable about his childhood. He technically still has good memories to look back on, after all he still had Maria
Anyways uhm yeah, I'm going to post this without proofreading it hopefully that doesn't backfire :D
Feel free to add your headcanons or whatever !!!!
I'm a Tails centric blog, but please hop into my ask box or DMs, I love meeting new people :33

Is there a summary of the fulcrum au?
undoubtedly but i don't feel like looking for it so. quick recap!
twin dragons au -- ingo is Zekrom and emmet is Reshiram. the way it works in this is that they can be Either human Or dragon but not physically both at the same time. zero dragon traits in human form, etc.
which is why it's Really Freaking Weird And Alarming when emmet finds himself half-reshiram'd one day. (especially once he later realizes ingo is missing--)
anyway. ingo gets eeby deebied and something about the trip to hisui smushes his human and pokemon form together. and since he and emmet/reshiram are so closely connected it kinda. pushed back to him as well.
various side notes under the cut;
- ingo arrives in hisui with no memories, but does have a somewhat easier time regaining them, especially once akari shows up and helps him
- dad ingo. adopts akari. we love to see it
- he also isn't technically a warden but the pearl clan lets him do what he wants. they treat him like a person, for the most part, but not really like a Human, if that makes sense. he's treated normally but there's always a strange tone to most of his interactions with the residents of hisui.
- pearl clan also decided he must be a gift from sinnoh. adaman saw this, decided ingo is a gift from HIS sinnoh and actually belongs with his own clan. ingo ignores this and hangs out in the highlands the majority of the time. but does spend a lot more time with the pearl clan because they're the ones that found him and took him in
- meanwhile. emmet stays out of public eye for a hot minute. and by that i mean a month or so. which isn't that surprising considering his brother disappeared. people figure he's just trying to cope.
- but. he's driving himself insane he can't stay away from the subway that long he has GOT to get back. or he will die. (he says this, dramatically, to elesa). and there's no leads on getting him back to normal.
- (technically, he could take a trip to sinnoh and call up arceus. but with ingo missing he feels that leaving the region would be a bad idea and totally irresponsible.)
- so he just. Shows Up At Work One Day. all half-reshiram'd. as if there is nothing wrong. depot agents, after a moment of baffled staring, have to just roll with it.
- the Public, however. dhkshsksbsksjd
- all he can say is that he has No Idea why he is Like This (true) and it happened when ingo disappeared (true). "But why do you look so much like Reshiram?" "you expect me to know the answer to that?? i'm a train conductor." (blatantly skirting around the truth without directly lying).
- eventually unova accepts that. yeah okay their subway boss is fluffy now. weirder things have happened tbh.
- surprisingly enough, the whole thing stays pretty well contained within unova, ESPECIALLY nimbasa. emmet is THEIR subway boss and he's Going Through It. he deserves to be treated well. etc.
- ANYEEWAYE. cut back to hisui. ingo adopts akari etc etc etc. she starts helping him regain his memory. and the more things he remembers, the easier it IS to remember.
- once akari finishes the pokedex, he remembers a significant amount of his human life. not quite enough to be Normal, but a fair amount. (he also remembers some stuff from being a legendary dragon, but a legendary dragon is a LOT more long-lived than a human. there's a Lot there to remember. and is a lot more... nebulous of a mind than a human's.)
- akari takes him with her when she goes to fight arceus. ingo has a little chat <3. arceus puts ingo and emmet back how they were before, because they cannot exist in the long-term with their forms smushed together like that.
- (Emmet wakes up one day human again, doom-brains himself into thinking ingo died despite how that would be impossible (considering zekrom is literal deity, the embodiment of the concept of ideals.). spends like two hours like that before elesa and drayden and iris have to knock some sense into him.)
- arceus. like. because Ingo asked nicely, arceus retcons (not Really retcons because it knew ingo would ask this when it did it. time is weird) kyurem into having a human form. caveats of this includes. kyurem doesn't Know or Remember that they're kyurem. they can't shift into kyurem. etc. because kyurem shouldn't be able to have a human form in the first place because of their. them-ness. their existence. makes it impossible. but arceus makes it possible because ~hadwavey seals their power away and uses its own to keep the human form intact idk~ Arceus-ness.
- ingo and akari spend the next few weeks tying things up and saying goodbyes before they go home. (ingo goes around saying his goodbyes and expressing his gratitude to people. COMPLETELY forgetting to mention the very important fact that he was that one dragon guy. he goes around to the same people a second time, significantly more mortified, and explains.) (akari was there most of the time and let it happen. it was hilarious.)
- ANYWAY eventually ingo and akari go home. happy reunions time!!!
- (and then, of course. we get into what is almost like the postgame plot equivalent of the au dkshksdhksjsjd. Who Is Kyurem?)

i heard you had a tlt royalty au? 👀
TRAFFIC LIGHT TRIO ROYALTY AU
Okay so. This started off with my own self-indulgent high-fantasy projection that i injected some of the LMK cast into and then went “oh shit! an au!!!”
The core of this is basically based off of this one comic where somebody brought up the idea of TLT being a second generation of their ancestors… DBF vs Wukong vs Dragons… and their friendship being a story about how to forgive and be better than the past. And they are still that in LMK! That theme just isn’t as strong for the trio specifically, so. this AU where they're kingdom heirs and have to work through the issues of their parents and their own roles in life. This is supposed to be roughly based off of old (imperial) Chinese bureaucracies but I know very little so take this as gen royalty fantasy AU vibes.
MK: Celestial Court
Red: Demon Court
Mei: Dragon Court
Sandy: water spirit from the dragon kingdom who is really just vibing and into building stuff
Pigsy: was a personal chef for DBK (they got along) and PIF in the Demon Realm until MK arrived in the Celestial kingdom, went “that’s my son now” and completely switched over bc that’s his son now
Tang: Pigsy’s husband. Originally from the celestial kingdom but didn’t like it there, but he was willing to follow Pigsy back bc why not
Nezha: the Celestial kingdom’s top general/realm guard and also basically MK’s babysitter. he has a tense relationship with some of Mei’s family due to his past with Ao Bing, although Mei's chill with him.
Guanyin: an advisor at the celestial court and basically MK’s aunt-uncle
and obvi, TLT are the heirs!!! their kingdoms have… tumultuous relationships due to past grievances, but the trio are trying their best to work past their parents’ issues and create something better for all their kingdoms, but it’s a long road ahead. but before i get into that, i’ll address everyone’s obvious question: ‘where’s Wukong?’
that is where stuff gets messy.
see, Erlang hated his uncle for (gestures to his backstory) obvious reasons, and just kind of… fucked off because he had no interest in being the JE’s heir. he’s still an on-call general, but stationed far, far away and without claim to the throne. although having an heir was not urgent (bc immortal), the JE was getting tired and so looked around for another powerful person as an heir; enter Wukong.
Wukong was technically in line to be the next Jade Emperor/smth similar, but it's Wukong, and that was *obviously* not his style, so he took a group of his friends and went on a very long pilgrimage/adventure. things in general ended a bit... messy, and he also managed to piss off DBK and the dragons, so Wukong basically went into self-imposed exile.
then MK popped into existence (from Wukong power residue), and Wukong went "grand! new son/protege!"
turned out that raising a still mostly-humanish boy in an entirely monkey kingdom with no friends was perhaps slightly detrimental to his growth. Wukong realized that he was probably more fit for being a weird uncle/cousin figure than an actual DAD, and this didn't follow "standard monkey raising protocol", and he reluctantly traveled back to the Celestial Kingdom.
after much convincing, Wukong was convinced to stay alongside MK, the boy being raised as the Celestial Prince instead of Wukong, and that’s how the Celestial Prince MK came to be!
(p.s. before you ask, Macaque is Wukong's ex bf(f) who launches an attack on the 3 kingdoms later) (p.s.s. MK was basically a young monkey prince when he first arrived due to Wukong raising him around monkeys, so the entire celestial palace and guard, ESPECIALLY Nezha, basically had to deal with Wukong all over again, aka MK climbing on stuff and getting into meetings he should not be in.)
Nezha: you have a meeting in five. Wukong: now i don’t. Nezha: WUKONG- — Nezha: you have a meeting in five. MK: now i don’t. Nezha: MK-! Nezha: (I have a feeling this is what I’m doomed to do for the rest of my existence.)
now for Traffic Light Trio, the real fun of this AU:
as the next royal heirs grew up, people kept desperately hoping for an alliance or possibly even an arranged marriage between at least 2 of the 3 bc of the kingdoms' tensions. what they didn't expect was for the trio to instead grow up to become best friends who had sleepovers and judged plays together.
Mei and MK were fast friends, but it took them forever to get Red Son to be friends with them. they used the "it's to build a political alliance" excuse a lot so Red could rationalize it until he eventually realized that "oh shit, these idiots are my FRIENDS now”, and she had to deal with the political and social implications of that, esp with the Celestial Realm being the most powerful of the 3 realms.
they're all pen pals tho, and all of their kingdoms whisper about marriage alliances and whatnot, but in truth Mei and MK will just be bullying Red into ruining his public image by trying to eat plastic or something, and at balls they try to do 3-person jigs just for fun and everybody sees these powerful heirs just falling over each other and laughing like madmen.
roles and life: hey you guys shouldn’t be friends and even if you are connected, say through marriage, you guys have political roles and duties to think about- TLT: no thanks. we’re gonna do this our own way.

....... oh my god nyall do know that miravi goes through an oblivious lesbian phase right. i have told nyall that right.
like miranda comes off as more comfortable starting relationships but thats just when she considers it low risk/low value. its why i keep bringing up her technically being demiromantic, as she's still very willing to start flings and relationships with people she's not actually romantically interested in, because she finds them fun and entertaining and flirting is enjoyable for her. when she actually catches feelings thats an ENTIRELY different ballpark, since now she has something to lose and something that can be used against her, and even moreso because she's scared of damaging relationships she wants to keep by having romantic feelings and having the social needs of a merfolk. add in a ton of discomfort around real intimacy from her title and her life as a royal and miranda suddenly feels like all her prior experience with dating means nothing because none of it DID mean anything to her.
and aaravi has her own discomfort with intimacy and actually being open with her feelings, because she so closely connects that to weakness and things people can use to hurt her, and she is INTENSELY afraid that the second she lets someone in her life in a more permanent manner is the exact moment that they leave her. she's also still terrified of getting into a relationship with a monster, especially because of repeating the history her mom had with her dad, and about it not being real and something that doesnt mean anything to miranda in turn. her hypervigilance over her body and her actions and her thoughts also don't help and she's a chronic overthinker, that what she's going to say or do will instantly fuck up everything she's worked hard to have, and thats ESPECIALLY a fear when it comes to more personal and intimate things. likewise, whereas miranda has experience playing around with dating and flirting, aaravi has none of that experience, and it makes her feel like she's doomed for failure from the start without a chance to get good at it.
and both of them have a lot of internal self hate and a lot of constant feeling that if they're not the best and perfect then they're flawed and broken beyond repair and the worst. so they're likewise both feeling the worry that they'll personally be the ones to fuck it up and what the other will find underneath the surface will be something repulsive and bad, and both are VERY scared of hurting the other, accidentally or otherwise.
and mind you both of them are being very obvious about their attraction to each other and flirting with each other and even going on dates (even though neither of them will CALL them dates), and its just a disaster all around. they're disaster lesbians. they're not even being subtle about it everyone can tell theyre blushing and falling over each other and everyone is just waiting for them to finally kiss and neither of them has caught on that the other feels the same way.

NSR + OCs Doodle Dumps
Some bad sketches from before *that* happened.
Notes under the cut.
Puella Mayday: Mayday dressed as Madoka Kaname + Kliffby. Just a silly doodle. Don't expect anymore characters in the crossover.
UPA B2J: The pose is based on some official keyart (I think it's the boxart). I wanted to finish this, but I'm just not feeling it anymore.
E.G. Sketch: I couldn't remember what he looked like, so I tried to draw him again. It looks off.
Young Kliff: Another idea for a younger Kliff. It's a lot different from my earliest interpretations of that prompt. This version is based more on some early concept sketches of him. I imagine young!Kliff as someone who was drawn to rock because he found belonging in the subculture, so he took it pretty badly when his "home" essentially crumbled around him the same way his "real" home did.
System & White: System is a "character" in Desynchronized that I've alluded to several times (especially in the Headcanons series), but has never made a proper appearance. In short, System (aka Orca) is the literal system which controls the 1010s thought process without being filtered through their individual personality cores. As such, it doesn't technically have its own body and exists in every 1010. If I ever needed to show it visually, it would manifest as a black haired version of whichever 1010 it was currently possessing.
DDMC Redraw: I started a sketch of a redraw of my Doki Doki Mermaid Club title screen. I lost interest in it at some point. I think the composition could be a lot more interesting.
Tumblr media
[The original piece]
Kun3h0's Eye: Originally for that poll about Kun3h0's eye, I was just going to use a base and draw all the different answers before I eventually decided to do a unique drawing for each. Some unused sketches included a tentacle, a glitch, an invert colored eye, and an alternate design for the bunny eye patch.
Kun3h0's Things: I was trying to fill the page with various things that are important to Kun3h0, but I never quite finished it. There are more things I could have added, but these are the things I drew:
The GAB Nano: Kun3h0's transformation trinket, storage device, and remote to contact GAB. It's capable of producing various things including power-ups, snacks, toys, etc., granted that Kun3h0 has enough "credits" to purchase them.
Various Keychains (GAB, UFO, Octopus, Strawberry, and Bead Chain): Rather than save her credits for more useful things, Kun3h0 has a habit of cashing in her credits for various trinkets and keychains. The sailor octopus is of course a reference to E.G. while the rest are either in-universe references or based on real keychains I own.
Alien Mascot: The mascot of Kun3h0's favorite discontinued soda brand: Cosmic Caffeinators
White Rabbit Batteries: Kun3h0's preferred brand of batteries. They're modeled after white rabbit milk candies, a childhood favorite of mine.
Cosmic Caffeinators (Raspberry flavor): A soda so unfit for human consumption that it works better as coolant fluid. This is the pink stuff that colors Kun3h0's ears. Despite supposedly being discontinued, this stuff is available in abundance at the arcade Kun3h0 works for.
Detective Floats: Revisiting an old concept for a soda themed OC. He used to run a soda fountain, but I've tried reimagining him as a private investigator from a Strawberry Shortcake-esque world who teams up with a demon slaying bounty hunter from a Doom-esque world. He's cute, but I'm not totally sold on this design. I've got too many string-bean characters (and he is in fact my proto-string bean, but he's since been displaced by the likes of Kun3h0 and The Prince Formerly Known as Frog), so I may experiment with his body type a little more down the line.

Questions about wizarding world building: What was the wizarding world's reactions to recent world history?
When I read Harry Potter, I feel like I'm dropped into a bubble where for the most part, recent world history doesn't exist - Or at least, no one talks about it - which is stupid! Just because this stuff is technically "muggle affairs", doesn't mean that it doesn't affect the wizarding community too!
What do I mean by this? Well, in all of the books, it's mentioned here and there that the kids are learning wizard history, but they never bring up big events like, oh, I don't know, the world wars.
Sure, the stuff that's being taught isn't that recent, but you would think that that kind of thing wouldn't be mentioned from time to time, especially since it seems that the majority of the school population are either muggle borns or half bloods.
I'm racking my brain here and the only real world events that ever get mentioned are all the witch hunts in Germany and Salem (for obvious reasons) somewhere in the books, and WWI in the second fantastic beasts movie. Even then, there's not much of a reaction to either other than "oh, what a tragedy this is! Anyway".
(spoilers for fantastic beasts two) The fantastic beasts one especially concerned me, because here you have Grindelwald showing all these wizards visions of WWII, and all the wizards in the crowd just kinda sit there in shock while they watch a nuke go off, like they can't comprehend what they're looking at. The only one who's truly terrified and devastated is Jacob, apparently the only one there who actually experienced WWI first hand when he served as a soldier in the trenches.
Like, seriously??? How do you get so detached as a society that you miss both world wars??? Or space travel! I looked it up, Harry was born in 1981, 6 years after the moon landing. He may have missed the space race but he was still alive right when space travel became relevant. He would have been 6 when the Challenger exploded, and the end of the cold war happened during his first December at Hogwarts.
The fact that no one ever brings this up astounds me. No "Happy Christmas Harry, you get a Weasley sweater, an invisibility cloak, and the safety of knowing that the world is no longer under impending doom of nuclear war"
Like seriously, do the wizards know what nukes are or what they can do? Did any of them make a mad scramble to figure out a spell to shield from nuclear fallout? Were any wizards building bomb shelters in their backyards like the muggles?
Where was Harry & his friends when the twin towers fell? Bc that was 4 years after they graduated wizard school; what were they doing at that point?
And don't even get me started on the Internet; it was invented in 1983 so Harry and Hermione would have at least known about it before they went to Hogwarts
I have so many questions

So...now that the initial hype (and bewilderment?) for the trailer has largely subsided I would like to give my own personal thoughts on Sonic X Shadow Generations
I'm not happy
In fact after the initial feeling of "holy shit they're actually doing this!?" wore off I got pretty goddamn furious if I'm gonna be honest
Putting aside the fact that I am not the biggest fan of Shadow's game, in fact I can quite comfortably say that I hate it, a sentiment that I confirmed for myself after replaying it for a marathon roughly 2 years ago, so much so that, if it weren't for 06 and Secret Rings existing (and maybe Chronicles as well), it would quite easily be the worst Sonic game to me.
Putting aside also the fact that it is very likely to be written by Mr Ian-I can't work with these Shadow mandates man!-Flynn, whose track record on not only the IDW comic but also Frontiers leaves... quite a lot to be desired, especially when referencing past games is concerned
Putting, once again, aside the fact that what little level design we've seen in the trailer seems to be roughly on the same level as Forces', which should make it at least a tiny bit more inspired than Frontiers' though that's not inspiring much confidence in ME
...why?
Really: why?
Why celebrate Shadow The Hedgehog of all games?
Generations is a celebratory game, a game that, very optimistically, looks back on Sonic's story, both the highlights and yes, even the lowlights, which is why Crisis City was included
However it's one thing to include a level from an infamous game that ruined your reputation as part of your historical celebration while also making it far better than how it was in its original iteration
It's another thing to create a whole seperate story campaign dedicated to revisiting one of the most embarassing entries of Sonic's history, one of the titles that is most responsible for Sonic's reputation going down the drain over the years. And no: I'm not claiming that Shadow's game is the biggest culprit, even before its release Heroes was getting a lot of flack, and as early as the mid 90s, after S3K's release, people were starting to dunk on Sonic a bit. But I think we can all agree that it's when Shadow first appeared with a gun in his hand while cursing like an edgy teen that people collectively agreed that Sonic was now washed out and unsalvageable.
And you know I don't wanna act like this thing is doomed before it's out: it is technically possible that they can deliver something decent both gameplay and writing wise and if they do then I'll eat my own hat and praise it like it deserves!
But I am very doubtful about this, given Sega's quite frankly abysmal recent track record with this stuff, especially in light of Frontiers
And I know: it's just an extra mode bundled with a preexisting good game. Why are you bitching so much?
I'm bitching because this is but a symptom of a larger issue that's been going on for over a decade now, which is Sonic as a series being absolutely dependent on revisiting its past in often half assed ways in an attempt to pander to nostalgic fans rather than, y'know, genuinely and fully moving forward! The actual attitude hasn't really changed in 10 years, it's just that now instead of pandering to the classic elitists they're pandering to the Adventure fans, who will gladly eat this up despite whining for years about nostalgia pandering themselves because all their rhetoric during the past decade was mostly bullshit that can be summed up as "Yeah but they're not pandering to the REAL Sonic aka the one I grew up with!"
There's a part of me that would almost like to praise Sega for "taking it on the chin" so to speak, for wanting to take their chances by revisiting an old, hated game and doing something potentially good with it
But let's be perfectly clear here: Sega's not digging up Shadow's game or SA2 for that matter because they want to redeem them or anything, there are only 3 reasons why they're making this
For the aforementioned Adventure-era pandering, Sega have no doubt noticed that the kids who played Shth back in 2005 have now grown up and love it, while the older fans who bashed it have now largely left the fandom so this game is now free to be used as nostalgia bait
It's Shadow and not only is he so popular that everything with his name attatched to it is bound to sell but his playstyle is 90% Sonic's anyway, so they'll mostly just have to make new animations for him
Sonic Movie 3 is coming and they obviously want to capitalize on it. This game is very clearly for newer fans to serve as a "who this guy is and what his deal is" history lesson
The last 2 reasons are especially obvious because honestly, if they're so adamant on pandering to the Adventure Era nostalgia, then why don't they draw from other, better and more deserving sources?
Why not recreate levels from SA1 and 2 or even Heroes? You can even recreate story scenes from them if you truly want, it would still be pandering but at least stuff like Tails and Amy's character arcs in SA1 are far better written and more respectful to their characters than anything from Shadow's game is towards its own protagonist! Hell why not do something TRULY cool, something that is ACTUALLY unthrodden ground and maybe give us for the very first time 3D versions of levels from the Advance series? Cyber Base and Chaos Angel in 3D anyone? Or maybe the Rush games? With a playable Blaze for the first time since forever? I mean Shadow already had his own DLC episode in Forces and it was pretty ok, why not give someone else their own Episode?
Look: if you like Shadow's game and you like what you see? Good for you, I honestly, genuinely hope that you have a good time
But as for me? A (former?) Sonic fan who hasn't enjoyed anything Sonic related to come out of this entire franchise since 2013 (with the semi exception of Mania and maybe Superstars though I still haven't gotten around to playing it), and who's been extremely cynical of Sega and Sonic Team's way of handling this series? This is just the latest in a long list of nails in the coffin

i saw your tags on that post about retconning Blood Drive and i'd love to see your ideas about revising CoPa's story!! :)
PART ONE: THE OVERALL STORY To start with, I think we need to cut out the stuff we can all agree is bad. Blood Drive is the obvious thing, 2U never should have been acknowledged in canon in the first place but Blood Drive did for some reason, and Book of Shadows is a collection of "What-ifs" for the main story, Blood Covered, which I think we can use here. Now that we're ignoring those other things and focusing entirely on Blood Covered, we can get more specific about what needs to be changed. I think there are three recurring flaws with Corpse Party as a franchise that need to be addressed in any good rewrite. The first and biggest problem is the sexualization of minors, especially the girls. Corpse Party is as much about jacking off to teenage girls as it is about horror, and needless to say that's very bad. Even if you don't mind children being sexualized (which, if you don't, ew), it's very distracting from what's supposed to be the main focus, survival horror, and can be quite the mood killer. I remember seeing Naomi and Seiko have a heartwarming reunion in the manga, only for that same scene of them hugging to also feature panty shots for no reason. Ugh. To address this, we simply just cut all of that stuff out. It's totally unnecessary and you can remove it without changing the story much at all. The second problem is, oddly enough, too much death. A series called Corpse Party reasonably is going to have a lot of death, but the issue is, EVERYONE dies except the original five protagonists from the 90's game. Once you catch onto that pattern, you know any new character you see is doomed and have no reason to care about them, especially because chances are, that character is going to be ultimately useless to the narrative. This leads neatly into the third problem, which is an overabundance of disposable characters. 2U had a literal high school gym full of characters, and the vast majority of them are just... bloat. Do we REALLY need all of these kids? Do they REALLY make the story better? I don't think they do. I think cutting out everyone who isn't in Blood Covered, or having them exist in the background or in backstories like with Kizami's classmates, is the way to go. This will also cut down on the "too much death" problem without also introducing a "too many survivors" problem, so conveniently both of these can be addressed at the same time. Once you cut these three core issues, you're left with a pretty solid horror story that doesn't overstay its welcome or divert towards uncomfortably sexual territory. I admittedly don't remember all of the details because some of it was pushed out for Blood Drive's nonsense, but I don't think the overall plot of the game needs much changing. The worldbuilding in Blood Drive is dumb, but we're ignoring that. It doesn't matter what exactly Heavenly Host is or how everything works there, it's how it affects the story and the characters. Speaking of... PART TWO: THE CHARACTERS Corpse Party's characters were always the most important part of it to me. I used to say that they're wasted in CoPa and would be better in another story. Now I don't think I agree with that anymore, because they were made for CoPa, and the story itself can be improved, such as with the changes I suggested before. I think analyzing the core characters, improving them, and adjusting the story accordingly is the way to go to make a better Corpse Party. This is going to be the longest section by far, because I have in-depth thoughts on most of the main cast of characters. I'm going to focus on the 9 characters you see in the prologue, then do a lightning round of the villains at the end for an even ten entries. Because of technical issues with Tumblr, I can't make this all one post, so I'm going to post this part now and reblog it with my entries for each character. Stay tuned! I'll DM you the final version of the post when it's done

Hiii, Hello, what if I dropped an abandoned vent fic from February 2020 that's based off true events and didn't elaborate? Anyway: (vague and non-fanon) pre-game, one-sided saiou, angst, a note of saimota but not serious
The world stopped. No. He stopped. The world kept on spinning as if it wasn't over.
Actually wrong again, he didn't stop either for some reason. There was no sudden halt, in which he would freeze, heart painfully clenched in a second of utter horror, panic, despair, his world shattering. It was an over 20 cars pile up tragedy in slow motion that started with just two vehicles colliding. After that lots of others being unable to brake fast enough was inevitable on a highway of life.
He didn't know when it started, maybe like all kinds of evil it had roots in middle school. Technically, he knew it was not true, it started earlier, truly it started to be a problem later, well that's a lie too. It was already a problem in middle school, he just didn't acknowledge it at the time.
It could be that this whole situation was like thousands of domino pieces he was putting up ever since he first saw Shuichi in the kindergarten, so over twelve years of work on fragile construction, few segments has been in need of repairs before, but what happened this time was damaging beyond repair.
Or maybe he was just being overdramatic again, but it really did feel like he built up his own doom this way and just recently somebody knocked one of the dominoes down, the very first one and now the sound of them all clattering was echoing in his head for months.
Pretty sure that this somebody was himself and nobody else, too, but that doesn't really matter. What mattered was that now he was alone and pitying himself.
A year ago was an entirely different life, perhaps they were even different people, but he wouldn't say that, at the core people don't change after they aren't children anymore, some parts of one's soul can be only shaped in childhood and that's most likely a bad thing for them. Not to say that for everyone. Again, the life was definitely different, present feels like an alternate universe.
They were just entering a new year similarly to now and the saying that the whole year is going to be like the new year's eve might have been a curse. Honestly, he wasn't that familiar with it before, but after Momota repeated it so many times during one day it burned into his mind. It was just the three of them at Saihara's house, all eighteen, but no alcohol, because everybody knew it just wouldn't pass with Saihara's parents and at that time he didn't mind. God, it really was just a year ago when he was all stops against drinking ever, look at him now.
Ah, but not to waste time thinking about own alcoholic father, the thing about Saihara's parents is they're unpredictable as his mother is absolutely insane, and his dad is under her shoe. So, not to anger the beast they spend most of the evening quietly sharing sweets, listening to music and talking about the dumbest shit they could, but it was fun, it was what he was used to.
What happened with that damned can of peaches was probably some curse too, like, they totally should have given up on opening it after five minutes, but no. It wasn't like any of them to just give up, what was started had to be done, doesn't matter that they were too dumb to use can opener correctly. Momota tried helping with a knife, but eventually Saihara got frustrated and pulled the half way cut open lid with his bare hands. This goal fixated madman. Honestly, all of them.
Through the year they brought this story back too many times and incorrectly as a reminder of strength and determination instead of taking things too far.
He only started to think of that day as a cursed one year later, comparing events from around midnight to last days of the next year. Which greatly upset him, because seeing such connections was his mother's thing. She was especially stuck on seeing meanings in dates of people's deaths or birthdays. Annoying.
Basically, he wanted to kiss Shuichi at midnight. It was stupid and he knew he was too much of a coward to actually go through with this. But emotions were high and they were having so much fun that he though that maybe, maybe he could do this.
He couldn't. He walked up to him, got close... and then backed out and played it off as a joke. Unfortunately, Shuichi is this kind of person that while usually reserved forgets himself while having too much fun and becomes some sort of insane.
He saw the shine of idea appearing in his eyes from up close. And then, before he could turn around to notice the whole thing, it was too late. What he managed to register was Momota looking traumatized, wiping his lips and muttering questions like "why?" and making general sounds of disgust and something almost like despair at losing his first kiss like that.
Ouma, too, felt like he lost something important while looking at Saihara who was laughing, carefree after delivering critical damage to two of his closest friends at once.

Gem, I saw the fic ask and I can't read that much text but I wanna know 4: do you have any ocs?
This could be homestuck ocs or personal ocs for your original works, or even something for another fandom idrc I'm just curious
If you don't have any you can just talk about dirkjohn bc ik you like them (or choose your fav thing from the actual ask game lol)
BHey! Honestly that's funny because...I didn't read it all either, just saw a few interesting questions and reblogged, heh.
But regarding 4...yeah I do! I actually have some in Homestuck, some for other fandoms (Pokemon and Warriors) as well as some personal ones. Answers below the cut because I got into it!
In Homestuck, I've got quite a few adopts that I snagged because I...cannot draw. My ability to draw is actually godawful. I love weird unconventional things that aren't supported by canon and...it shows. Some of them include a little Doom-aligned Cherub who lives on Alternia and disguises himself as a bronzeblood, a mutant naga troll with scales and bright green blood, a winged goldblood with wings covered in eyes (she's so cool), a bronze librarian with a gun, and a rainbow blooded mutant who gets out of culling on a technicality because they have fuchsia blood. There are a bunch more too and I don't have them super fleshed out but I'm still happy to talk about them if y'all want to hear.
I've also got a Pokemon fanfiction sitting in my drafts that would be a full ten anime seasons long. Yeah that's not an exaggeration. The main OC is named Phoenix, and she's kind of a modification of the canon protagonist Hilda (though, her adventure actually starts in Kalos). She's a weird girl who fucking loves Pokemon battling and has too much of a stubborn streak for anybody's good. By the end of the story, she's a multi-regional Champion with an Arceus and a match in ability in the form of N, who's the Hero of Ideals to her Hero of Truth and they've got a...complicated relationship. You...may be able to tell that I think the concept of Mary Sues is stupid. All her Pokemon are also kind of OCs, due to the detail in their personalities - a favorite of mine is a very old transfem and aroace Ho-Oh who played a major role in the creation of the world and who she accidentally calls 'mom' at least twice.
My other major Pokemon AU, with a working title of Many Legends, also has a good few! The main protagonist is a young professor who specializes in Legendary Pokemon, which in this AU exist in multiples and can be caught by regular people (with a permit that's pretty hard to get, and some Legendaries require additional permits beyond the basic one). Her name is Professor Wisteria, and she's very chill but treats literal death gods like adorable kittens. Part of her job, especially since she's new in the field, is to check in on people who have Legendaries or are working towards permits, and to check in on wild Legendaries who live alongside humans or otherwise are amenable to being checked on. One of her very notable clients is a middle-aged farmer (he raises several Pokemon for things like milk and eggs, but also breeds starters for the local professor) who had to emergency start working towards a permit after discovering an Yveltal egg abandoned in his coop and, shortly after, having a young Mewtwo created in an unethical experiment show up at his doorstep asking for shelter. Because everyone who has a Yveltal is required to have a contact who has or is close to a Xerneas (or do so themselves) for safety reasons, he comes into contact with an older widower who keeps a Xerneas that's a family heirloom - it was born under the care of her great-grandmother, and will pass to her kids and grandkids when she passes away. She definitely encourages him to think about the far future, as Mewtwo only live a bit longer than humans do but Xerneas and Yveltal, like some others, can live for hundreds of years.
My Warriors OCs aren't much to write home about, unfortunately - there's a couple, and they're all hilariously overpowered (and fun). For my personal OCs...I tried to write a novel or several when I was in sixth grade, a dream I hope to revisit someday. Of course, they had their own cast of original characters - notably including a pair of genetically engineered lesbian generals named Lightning and Angel. They're fun :)
Because I feel like it, I'll also answer your other stuff - Dirkjohn is fucking awesome. It's a closeish second favorite ship for me, behind Johndave. I write...kind of a lot of them haha. I'm clearing quite a few drafts at the moment, but I have 70+ dirkjohn drafts even ignoring anything involving polyamory or splinters. My first ever ship fic was Dirkjohn! It's "Searching" on my AO3, it's definitely not my best work (again, first romance fic) but it was a lot of fun to write. Other people have written incredible analyses on dirkjohn and why it would work, but for me I read some fucking awesome dirkjohn fics and got hooked on the dynamic. One dirkjohn fic that I'm working on right now is based on a dream I had, where they (along with others) are stuck in a time loop, in which the world ends when they're both 23 and they live their whole lives over and over again. It's a getting-together fic and very cute despite the setting.
Just because, I'll answer a few other questions!
Hilariously, my answer to No. 1 (Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?) is...Searching. Yep, the one I just mentioned. The basic premise is really good, but I think I made quite a few mistakes lol. The other one, that I didn't initially count because I'm literally already doing that, is We Live Again - I had a really ambitious set of ideas for it and accidentally wrote myself into a corner with the help of shoddy organization and a nearly nonexistent outline. So, I'm planning to come back to that one.
And 16, are oneshots underrated? HELL yes they are. I fucking love oneshots, they're the main thing I read rn and the main thing I'm writing! Not everything has to be a federal fucking issue lol, it's nice to just bang the keyboard for a while and make a cute little distilled plot, especially when it's for a punchline.
