Skeletons of the Vasa - update
In the 1960s, 17-19 skeletons were recovered from the Vasa. I had reported on this. But new research has shown that one of the individuals was not what was first believed. The skeleton that is on display in the museum as G-Gustav has now been renamed Gertrude, because new DNA analyses at the beginning of the year showed that Gustav was not a man but a woman. According to the new genetic analysis, "she was about 25-30 years old when she died, had blue eyes, blond hair and pale skin," told Oscar Nilsson, Live Science in an email, a forensic pathologist based in Sweden. He was the one who gave Gustav his face in 2006 and now had the opportunity to give Gertrude her true appearance.

Nilsson also worked with Anna Silwerulv, a textile expert at the Vasa Museum, to dress the reconstruction in a dark grey jacket and hat, as parts of these garments were found with her remains.

Microscopic analysis revealed that the hat was bright red. "And the original design was striking: a very high hat, reminiscent of the traditional festive clothing of the Swedish and also the Sami peasants," says Nilsson. You could also tell from her vest that she had been a hard-working woman, which made her seem quite harsh even though she was so young, which had also led to Gustav being estimated to be around 45 at the time. Gertrude's presence on the Vasa leads to the conclusion that she had been married to one of the sailors, because only wives were allowed to be present on the maiden voyage.

The museum reacted immediately and named her skeleton correctly and her new facial reconstruction has been on display since the end of June.

How’s it going gamers I replayed Portal 2 the video game of all time and have been reminded of how truly obsessed I am with all the characters
So I present to you: Typical AU where everyone’s a normal human who works at Aperture but Glados and Caroline are sisters who are just barely keeping this company from going bankrupt

More Meat Marionette Au?
Body Horror Warning as Usual
Been a while since I pondered the Meat Marionette Au. So have some art for Jason. Because while he might not have died, that flesh puppet was torn apart and the Caves rebuilt it with whatever It could get its claws into.
So yeah, that Joker arc does sort of happen- albeit in Gotham and without Jason running away. And there's consequences for it. Not just for the joker, not just for the bats, but for everyone.
There's a ghost in the Alley, a mass of bone and flesh shambling about in agony. And everyone knows what it once was.
The robins can't die, everyone quickly understands this. But there's something horrific of seeing the result of someone trying to do so. From something ripping one of them apart with metal and fire and scorching flesh away until it has to use whatever meat it can reach to rebuild itself.
Meat Marionette Au is a combo of my Cryptid Batfam & @phoenixcatch7 Possessed Doll Au, Go check them out they post some cool stuff

you know the assassination and immediate aftermath was definitely suspicious but it is entirely possible that the extent of Kirsi's injuries caused parts of her face to necrose and fall off or have to be removed during her recovery. the whole face area is kind of delicate like that

can't tell whether it's funnier to assume Dogma would be a scheduled sleeper, as aligned with his otherwise regimented self, or if he's a fuckin sleepy bastard that has knocked a few someones' teeth out on numerous occasions for being woken at a rational, sane time in the morning

Remember that sort of lost 80s Pink Floyd experimental album I wanted to create using solo albums? Here is a first setlist. The concept should be that even though the world is not a safe place there is still love that can hold us together even if it is a very fragile feeling. I chose the demo version of Sexual Revolution because it was supposed to be part of The Wall so the whole band worked on it. It should be 59:18 minutes in all, I don't know if it's too long for a Pink Floyd album. What do you people think? Would you change anything in terms of the musicality/coherence of the lyrics? And what title would you give it?
