My niece and I both start school Monday. She's doing Pre-K and I'm doing my first semester at university. She's so excited and happy. imagine waking up and making coffee or tea and breakfast in your darling kitchen, eating outside on your porch while the kids sleep before you feed the chickens and other animals on your little homestead.

Once the kids are up, you teach them the value of cooking and self sufficiency, showing them how to gently tend to the garden and treat all of your animals with kindness and gentle comfort. You show them how to help prepare meals, help them learn to bake and cook. They are your world, a beautiful light on the darkest days. A beam of sunshine wrapped in the small package of smiles and cuddles with your farm dog on lazy mornings.

And you think to yourself, on this slow and cozy day, how you’re so content. Life is defined by how you wish to define it, and if your family and homestead makes you happy, then you’ve found your purpose <3
