actually thinking moash is going to die a villain before he has any sort of crisis of character is literally so stupid. it’s beyond just hating moash, you literally think so little of brandon as a writer that you think he would write all that moash pov just to have moash die without ever examining his thinking further? like that’s objectively bad writing, you know that right? but hey maybe i’ll look back on this post and be like “you guys were right, brandon IS a bad writer” but it’s just insane to me that people hate moash so much they can’t see like the objective narrative movements in his writing. you guys piss me off so much.

“Some extreme Chloe stans are SO immature and act like babies at the mere possibility of Chloe getting called out for ANYTHING that she does lol I remember one time that I got chewed out by a Chloe stan for writing an anti-Chloe post that I wrote 3 YEARS AGO, in which my opinion on her NOW has changed. But they didn't want to accept that, so they harassed my page and post until they realized that they couldn't control my opinions and blocked me. It didn't matter that I didn't hate her anymore mind you, because I HAVE to support her no matter what from the get-go, just because of the possibility of upsetting a stan that I would've POSSIBLY met in the future. Lol gtfo.

It was complete waste of time for the both of us. If they felt the way that they felt, then they should’ve just blocked me in the first place without saying anything, because...people have the right to dislike Chloe. She was handled poorly by the creator I agree, but that doesn't mean that people still can't dislike her. Whether you or anybody thinks that she deserved a good redemption or not, the point still stands that she's a bully character, and there are some anti-Chloe fans who had bad experiences with bullying characters.

I think it's a little insensitive and close-minded to judge them for disliking Chloe for those reasons just because you like her. It's like people care more about a fictional 14-year-old girl's problems than actual-life people whose suffered the same kind of bullying from people like that. It's really baffling and crazy.”

Is that CC Liverpool post making a joke? They post two photos of him looking utterly disinterested and like he would rather be anywhere else, and caption it saying how he enjoyed his afternoon and is looking forward to the con? He couldn't even muster a neutral face, let alone a smile?

Then all the stans in the comments saying he looks good? Do they even look before they comment? If my fave looked like that in promotional pictures I would be really concerned. I guess they don't see the human behind their hero?

I don't know what's up with the guy but something is seriously wrong and has been for a while now.

this is such a good post and highlights something i find really interesting about brandon’s writing! this is a really good example of a writing technique brandon likes to employ called “bad writing.” writers typically use bad writing when they are incapable or unwilling to write something better. though the relationship was underdeveloped in wor, several characters in oathbringer comment on it being deeper and more intimate than any of the others that kaladin had. this is a brilliant subversion of the traditional writing advice “show, don’t tell,” where instead of showing us the relationship, brandon simply tells us it was there and mattered. he employs this subversion in a similar fashion when he states that moash was the only member of bridge four to treat kaladin as a man not a god, but he takes it a step further in this instance by having moash’s feelings later devolve into idolatry. since the previous treatment this change is meant to contrast is “told” instead of “shown,” we end up with another incredible example of “bad writing.” i find brandon’s use of bad writing to be really thoughtful and unique since he employs just enough “good writing” to keep your expectations up, so the full force of the “bad writing” moments hit to full effect! :)
