Every Musical in Washington, D.C. in 2024
I made a spreadsheet of every musical (and some bonus opera and ballet) in DC this year. Check it out.
I've been saying forever (okay, maybe for a few months) that DC is America's second-best musical theater city. If you're in the Northeast Corridor south of Philadelphia, D.C. is probably a better bet than New York. But the musical theater in D.C. is so good that I'd recommend even New York people venture down and make a weekend of it.
TWO of the theaters are technically National Parks (Kennedy Center and Fords) and the Signature and Arena Stage have won Tonys for best regional theater.
D.C. also tends to have different shows than New York--Tick, Tick Boom is next week.

I love that Ford's Theater is still a functioning theater :)
It looks like they do a ton of historical productions and A Christmas Carol annually! They've had 1776 multiple times! I wonder if they will ever do Assassins...
But they're also having Little House of Horrors this year. Go see it if you can! :D

No, I am not ordering a pretty journal and half-pretending that it's a birthday gift from Ford, why would you think that?
