some thoughts on jason, post-reread of teen titans #29
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the curious thing is that geoff johns writes jason wanting to be remembered, memorialized with the other dead titans—he throws tim into donna's statue, yells, where's MY statue? so i wonder—have i been wrong all this time? would he have actually appreciated bruce's horrific glass case?
Tumblr media
another thing. if jason, according to this issue, knows that batman didn't arbitrarily "replace" him, so to speak, then why did he go to all that effort to beat tim up? ... in the comic he says smth about tim being nowhere near good enough to be robin/to measure up to jason's robin... perhaps he was lying to himself and Did feel resentment for the replacement despite his statements to the contrary. and jason notably keeps children away from his gig but perhaps he reasoned with himself that tim was trained by batman ans he could take it. perhaps he just wanted to have an excuse to vent his frustration and anger and grief onto the boy even if he knew it was wrong, even if it went against his moral code. or perhaps (see panel) he was even pulling a leslie and hoped the beatdown would also decommission tim and get him out of the vigilante lifestyle? EDITED TO ADD: im feeling more of the first explanation tbh. i talked about it with a friend and its really so easy to forget how young jason is. i think he was genuinely just very upset and deliberately took it out on tim despite knowing it wasn't exactly tim's fault. hey maybe some selfish part of him wanted bruce to never move on. maybe some part of him recognizes tim as a driving factor for it and resents tim ror that. girl idk. i don't even want to say that this comic is ooc or not because revived jason media is all so wildly varying in characterization so once again this is a reminder that i am simply Working Within The Confines Of The Text
Tumblr media
of course, it could always be mischaracterization/shaky writing of character motivation. but i think there's merit in looking at complicated comics and examining the messy dynamics, especially since this issue has been more or less accepted as unmissable canon.
speaking of complicated comics, i actually also have thoughts on dick and jason's dynamic based on how they were written in nightwing: brothers in blood. remind me to crosspost from my private twt acc!
one last thing: i actually love that jason is aware of bruce's "spiral into darkness" and STILL continues to enact his plan. it's the whole false equivalence of "bruce kills the joker == bruce loves me", "bruce doesn't kill the joker == bruce doesn't love me", or at least not enough. he's refusing to accept bruce's grief as penance. jason has already named his price, and he will not recant it. he will accept nothing less than the death of the joker 😋😋😋

The Kissing Booth, Intro: All Character Starts
This is a rewrite of an old WIP of mine, called The Kissing Booth. It is kind of an otome game-esque dating simulator game thingy I'm making the "script" for, only instead of being in the format of a script, it's in story format.
Anyway, here is the beginning/intro of the game.
--
To start, there are 5 characters you can play for. There's Chef Geoff, who anyone can play to try to win over. There's Belinda, who only females can play to win over. There's Clarissa, who anyone can play to win over. There's Luka, who anyone can play to win over and there's Glorie, who only men can play to try to win over.
Pick the top 3 characters you'd like to try to go for. Now, you start with 3 points. Points are what make or break your relationship with the character. Put 1 point toward your top 3 characters you'd like to win over.
Have you picked them? You have your points down? Alright, click Read More and let's get to playing!
You sigh as you better organize the stock at your flower shop and tilt your head to the side a bit.
"It looks perfect," a voice announces from behind you, making you start. You hadn't even heard the door open or the bell ring. "Sorry, did I scare you?"
"Just startled me," you correct, shaking your head as you finish what you were doing before turning to face the person speaking to you. "What are you doing here so early? You don't work for another hour."
"Oh... I fucked up big with the missus. I need flowers." You roll your eyes.
"What did you do now?" You ask, expertly arranging the bouquet that he always gets when he gets makeup flowers for his woman. He puts a hand up to stop you and shakes his head.
"No, those aren't enough." Your eyes widen slightly. Not enough? He must have done something serious.
"What do you want then?" You ask. He glances over at a bouquet next to the register. Your eyes widen further. "You sure? That bouquet is-"
"I know how much it is... I also know she knows how much it is and knows that it isn't just some cheap bouquet." You nod your understanding and move to grab the bouquet and get it ready for purchase. He slams down a wad of bills on the counter between the bouquet you're handling and the register.
"You must have done something really stupid," you say simply. He doesn't offer a reply this time, only looks away, clearly upset with himself. You hesitate. "I'm sure it'll be fine," you try to reassure him. "You've done some stupid shit and she always understands. Eventually. It just might take a bit of extra time."
His lip quivers slightly and you shift uncomfortably.
"It's not fine," he simply says, voice heavy with emotion. "Now please get the flowers ready and I'll be on my way."
You want to say something more but when he turns to walk out of the room and into the bathroom, you sigh, finishing the wrapping and placing the flowers in your most expensive vase. You hope everything will be okay.
Partly because it's weird to see him so emotional, but also you love them as a couple.
What did he do?
You heave another sigh and glance up just as your first customer of the day arrives.
It's...
Select Your Crush:
Belinda (females only; difficulty: hard): a woman with a mysterious aura. Long brown hair that almost seems black and a dark personality to boot. She's almost always drunk when she comes in, but my god is she striking to look at.
Clarissa: Beautiful young woman with long pink hair and pink eyes, oddly enough. You're pretty sure she uses colored contacts though she insists it's her real eye color. She's really outgoing and flirty and comes in frequently, always asking about you.
Glorie (males only): a young woman with deep green eyes and greenish-bluish hair. She has a love of water and a beautiful sing-song voice. There is something that pulls her to you, but you can't quite explain it. Whatever it is, you really like her.
Luka: a young man with a heart of gold. He has actually come into the store and bought large bouquets and you watched as he's given out flowers from them to random passersby on the street, confirming they were random when the people came into the store asking about him. He was clearly an athlete in school, but he's just such a sweet man, it's hard to imagine he was the kind of popular guy that was a bully too. Everyone loves him. And much to your dismay, you're not exception.
Chef Geoff (difficulty: hard): a beautiful chef with a passion for his craft. He loves to cook and is always talking about experiments he wants to make. He's actually fairly friendly, inviting people to his restaurant to try his food, though he seems not to really ever want to talk about anything else. His smile draws you in, with his eyes smiling along with his mouth... you want to feel what that mouth would feel like pressed against yours. You find yourself feeling quite dreamy any time he walks into the room.
Who would you like to try to woo? Links will be added as each character's start is written.
Belinda // Clarissa // Glorie // Luka // Chef Geoff

Important announcement regarding the fansite.
Erlande (@kingpattillo) and I have made the extremely difficult decision to archive the site. You can read more about it in our final update. If you don’t see it right away please be sure you clear your browser’s cache. Otherwise, I’ll be copying the text into a read more for those of you who are on mobile.
We said it in the post but thank you to everyone who supported us in making this. We’re so proud of the work we did and so happy that it was such an amazing resource for so many people. While this situation sucks, it’s been heartwarming that our sense of community hasn’t gone away.
Thanks again <3
The Final Update
Yeah, this shouldn't be surprising, considering that a lot has happened over the weekend.
First, on October 14th, Matt Bragg made this tweet explaining that his position at Achievement Hunter had been dissolved. If you weren't around for it, this news was met with an outpour of support from the community and fellow RT/AH employees. Matt's stream the following day blew his sub goals out of the water, ending with over 15,000 Twitch subs. While the community focused on showering Matt with love, there were also questions about why Rooster Teeth dissolved the position of one of their beloved talents. Kdin Jenzen then made this tweet shortly after the community started to talk about Matt's leave, and how upset they were about it.
Kdin's account of the transphobia, wage theft, and workplace abuse she suffered while working at RT was extremely heartbreaking to read. Apologies from Michael, Gavin, and Geoff came out soon after. While Michael's tweet was met with this reply from Kdin saying she forgave him, and Gavin's got no interaction from Kdin at all. Most notably, her reply to Geoff was a direct call to action. Here is a link to that interaction.
Soon, Twitter was flooded with ex-employees, contractors, and former friends of Rooster Teeth, who all had similar things to say. Many of them talk about crunchtime, overtime that was never compensated, pay that was laughably low when compared to the industry standard, and an HR department that seemed pretty keen on keeping a lawsuit from happening, rather than helping their employees.
We won't be linking any specific threads here on the fansite because there are just so many of them. A quick search of "Rooster Teeth" on Twitter will pull up a lot, as well as Tumblr. The Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter subreddits have a lot of information, too.
The two of us started this project on March 30th, 2022 because of our mutual love for Achievement Hunter. Initially, we saw a need for a site like this, a place where general information about Achievement Hunter could be found. Our main goal was that we wanted this to be a place where the community could come and check out what's new, see any announcements they missed, and have a comprehensive list of series and descriptions. We had so many plans for this website that will now never come to fruition.
We cannot in good faith continue to produce fan content for a company that treats their employees the way Rooster Teeth does. We fully condemn their actions and stand firmly with the victims and the people who have suffered underneath them. Over the years, it has become clear that the company, despite the trials and tribulations of so many former (and current) employees, refuses to change for the better. They have cultivated a toxic culture that has come to a head this weekend, and because of that, we've made the heavy decision to archive the website.
The site will remain up, and the features of it all active, but besides some minor maintenance, we will no longer be making updates to it. We put a lot of hard work and effort into this site to just see it gone, so it will remain up as a resource, like it was always meant to be. We really wish it didn't have to end like this. It would have been nice to at least see this site turn one year old, but the people who have suffered under Rooster Teeth mean more to us, and we will always stand by them.
Finally, we want to say thank you to everyone who has visited the fansite, as well as those who have sent us words of encouragement on our personal Tumblr accounts. The fansite couldn't have gone over as well as it did without your guys' help and support. Despite everything, we're glad we can still come together as a community.
We love you,                Erlande and Mars ♡

Total Drama Action characters with me/my oc [Ori]
Part 2 of the TDI characters i guess.
Also as a side note, the seasons are all the same, Ori is just an add on that doesn't win or lose in this universe, they just showed up and Chris just took them into the game to try and stir the pot.
Trent: After more or less becoming more paranoid, he now hates Ori and will push them away from Gwen any chance he gets
Gwen: Nothing much had changed, however, Gwen is a bit more careful with Ori because of Trent, and keeps Duncan updated on whats going on
DJ: [before the Alinence with cheif] kept Ori calm and like last time, acted like a "theripist"
[After/during the Alinence] was a bit more distant for Ori, not wanted them to get hurt or figure out what he was doing. But after he quit the game he gave Ori a recipe that they would be able to cook to remind them of him and he gave Ori as much reassurance as they needed before he left.
Izzy/e-scope/explosivo: would have Ori stay on the sidelines if she was going to do something dangerous. Ori also was a little upset about her changing her name just to get back into the game, because it made them feel bad about them changing their name[even though Ori changed it long beforehand]. Izzy told them that she did it to get back to Ori, but Ori is a little suspicious and talked to Duncan about it.
Heather: no one really trusts her around Ori still, but Ori still tries to talk to her. Heather surprisingly is nice to Ori, but if someone else is around she'll be rude. Ori often sneaks Heather some snacks or will find a new wig for her.
Lashawna: still a garian mother, but after the trash talk and the lying, Ori doesn't really trust her and would go to Gwen, but Gwen is gone, so they goes to Lindsay, who will help them and distract them with a spa day.
Justin: Since become more manipulative Ori has staied far away from him, Justin tries to use his pretty boy power on them but it never works, which makes angry and eventually has hit them, its a shame he forgot who Ori runs too whenever they are scared. Duncan, as I will state again, being like a protective father figure to Ori, always has a ball beating up Justin for scaring Ori.
Lindsay: like before, she helps Ori whenever something with Lashawna or Courtney goes on and will discract them with a spa day or dress up day.
Harold: Same as last season, but helps take care of them if Duncan needs to fight someone.
Courtney: Oh boy...She got even worse than last season. Ori is terrified of her. She bosses and yells at Ori to do her bidding, and will push them to the edge. She tries to keep them away from Duncan and manipulates Ori into running away and lying that Duncan hates them. She still tries to keep Duncan under her thumb, but eventually he escapes and votes her off, leaving her enraged. Ori before Courtney got eliminated, would hide if they even heard her voice, stay absolutely silent if she was close, and because of her manipulation, would run away and get seriously hurt, coming back to the camp with cheif holding them gently.
Owen: still makes sure they are eating and playing but after getting injured and becoming a mole, Ori got worried about him. Ori found out why he was a mole and wanted to help him, even if he was trying to sabatoge them.
Beth: same as Lindsay, but less involved in the drama, she usually keeps an eye on Ori if they're alone.
Cheif: made sure that they ate healthy, and would save them from running away and heal them, he's starting to fall apart with Chris, considering Chris knew that the forest was dangerous but never told anyone.
Chris: No one lets him near Ori
Bridgett: even though not being on the show technically, she still keeps in contact with Ori to make sure they are safe
Geoff: Doesn't like it when Bridgett calls Ori, this is when he was getting corrupted by the fame, he tries to stop Bridgett, but she won't listen
Duncan: Protects the kid at all costs. He is proud that Ori has stood up to different people and even more proud that she made friends with Heather, but is extremely made at Justin, Trent, and Courtney. During the ending of the season Duncan kept Ori close and made sure they were safe through the corse.
If he won: He would basically "adopt" Ori as like a child or even a little sibling.
If he lost: He still would try to do that but would and always be their gardian

Did you ever work on any other political campaigns besides Obama?
The first campaign I ever worked on was as a volunteer on Gray Davis's 1998 (successful!) campaign for Governor of California. I was young and had all the time in the world, so I volunteered tons of hours that year. I got into it to support the Davis campaign and most of my time was spent doing stuff for it, but I did end up doing various things throughout the 1998 campaign cycle for the California Democratic Party local headquarters and Michela Alioto's campaign for California Secretary of State, too.
The 2000 election was the first Presidential election I was ever eligible to vote in, so I was really excited to get involved since I had always been so interested in the Presidency. Most of you guys are probably too young to have any idea who I'm talking about, but I was a big supporter of Bill Bradley, who was the progressive alternative to the frontrunner, Vice President Al Gore. For those of you who don't know, Bradley served in the U.S. Senate from New Jersey, but earlier in his life he was a Hall of Fame basketball player in college and the NBA. I thought he was going to take the world by storm, upset Al Gore, beat George W. Bush, and lead us into the new millennium. I remember being so thrilled because I was "invited" to volunteer at a fundraiser for Bradley at the house of Geoff Petrie, another former NBA All-Star who was running the Sacramento Kings at the time. But I didn't end up going -- I'm not even sure if it ended up taking place -- because Al Gore literally swept every single Democratic primary and Bradley was out of the race by Super Tuesday.
In 2002, I volunteered again for Governor Davis's (also successful!) re-election campaign and also spent a lot of time working on behalf of a local school bond measure because my real job at the time was at an elementary school that was going to be directly benefited by the measure. But I was also 22 years old at the time, so I volunteered less and was going out and being a menace to society most nights much more frequently.
I didn't do much of anything during the 2004 election cycle. As much as I was hoping to see someone defeat President Bush that year, I just couldn't get excited for any of the Democratic candidates. I was indifferent to John Kerry, and I think I started off supporting General Wesley Clark before switching to Howard Dean. I started to get a little more into things once things started looking interesting for Howard Dean, but his campaign fell apart for one of the dumbest reasons we've ever basically disqualified a candidate for. After that, we were left with John Kerry, who was still uninspiring and unfortunately decided to pick Husband-of-the-Century John Edwards as his running mate. It was a rough election cycle -- and, the craziest thing is that John Kerry still almost won!
And, of course, I was all-in for Obama in 2008 and went to work for his campaign just a few days after he made his formal announcement.
(I recognize that your question could have been answered with a simple yes or no, so sorry if that was more information than you required.)

please can I have some jealous Duncan and Courtney headcanons because idk but i love those sm 😻
Of course!
- Duncan is 100% obviously with it. If Courtney has a bf or talks about a guy she likes in front of him he’s pissed.
- Everyone notices, except Duncan and Courtney.
- If anyone brings it up to Duncan he’s like, “wtf are you talking about? The guys a prick. It has nothing to do with whatever feelings you think I have for her.” But we all know he’s down bad.
- If anyone brings it up to Courtney she just gets mad because “Duncan’s just a jerk to everyone.”
- Eventually, whoever Courtney’s with asks her if they need to worry about Duncan. She is completely confused over it.
- Duncan, subconsciously being jealous over it, brings a new girl around the group. Now, Courtney is pissed.
- She tries to hide it, but whenever Duncan’s around now she tries to leave or they get into petty arguments. They already do this, but now it’s like overboard.
- Whenever Duncan’s new girl says something Courtney always tries to correct her, or something like that.
- At one point Courtney’s so upset about it that she cries. Which scares tf out of her.
- Competitive Duncney who???? These two go at it with trying to one up each other with their new “relationships.”
- At this point it’s very obvious Duncan and Courtney like each other, but they’re too stubborn to do anything about it.
- It’s safe to say they both are single within a short period of time because hello?? The tension they have?? Who would want to come between that??
- Duncan and Courtney are still going back and forth about “who’s relationship was more solid” or some stupid shit that they would only understand.
- Everyone’s pretty much over this “I don’t like her/him.” stage and lock them in a room together to sort out their feelings. (Geoff’s idea because he is the king of Duncney shippers and you all know it.)
- Duncan and Courtney are fighting about how irritating the other was to their significant other.
- Somehow Duncan says something along the lines of, “I only hated him because you’re too good for him.” Or “He didn’t deserve you.”
- Courtney’s at a loss for words. This is practically the closest thing to a compliment that Duncan has ever given her (other than his obscene ones).
- Courtney asks Duncan why he was even with whoever the other person is. He literally says he doesn’t know, maybe he just wanted to make her mad.
- Awkward silence.
- Courtney asks Duncan if he likes her because now everything Bridgette has been telling her is starting to make sense.
- Duncan laughs it off but then sincerely thinks about it and says maybe. But he makes a joke about how Courtney likes him to try to push the embarrassment of actually having feelings.
- who even knows if they admit their feelings for real. Maybe they’d just drop it and continue their banter until the tension is too much and they just crack. They’re so back and forth, anything’s possible. 😅

Hi! I really love your fics :) I was wondering if you had any advice on writing bart? Hope you have a great day :)
Thank you for stopping by and I am glad you enjoy my writing.
When it comes to Bart my approach is tuning to Waid's version of Bart but imagining how he might have evolved without Geoff Johns writing him, while also keeping in mind how old he is. Because he can't be gripped with The Single Synapse Theory forever, and in his own comics that theme didn't stay for long anyway. In Sunshine. Falling. for example we start the fic when Bart has only been around for a few months so he is at his most feral and least adjusted; he's impulsive, quicker to anger, quicker to mouth off and certain phrases he takes literal just because he has not had EXPERIENCE dealing with life or people. However there is ALWAYS a reason for why he does things, even if they're not always formulated thoughts (like jumping Clark in mid-air, stealing Mark's Motherbox just because he thought it was another weather wand etc) Now in the fic, he is 17 (spoilers for chapter 10) and has dealt with a lot more and is 'calming down' but he still retains that playful edge.
Bart I feel should always have a side of playfulness and irreverence no matter HOW OLD he gets.
As for a more deep approach I breakdown Bart's personality into these reminders;
1.) Introverted, a lot more than people think. He doesn't TALK that much unless he's with close friends. A lot of people make the mistake of making him TALK A LOT. Don't. Reign back. He's actually pretty direct when he is talking. He doesn't like being in the center of attention, it just happens a lot and he deals. He's introverted but not unfriendly. He likes people, and he will interact, but it's more on his terms.
2.) Ironically funny. Autistic funny. Bart doesn't try to be funny it just happens. Have fun with it. He's the type of person that you just gravitate to and love.
3.) If he's paying attention, he will remember it. He can be hyper observant if only he is paying attention. This is just a detail people forget. I hate it when I am reading a Bart fic and the author writes "Bart forgot about the Math lesson immediately" or "it was in one ear and out the other" NO. This does not happen. A better approach would be;
"Bart struggled to focus on the droning voice of Mr. Keyes as he talked about their lesson. Bart knew he had to pay attention, but his new pants were too stiff and he couldn't stop noticing how stiff they were, and the girl next to him smelled like gummy bears, and the boy in front him kept snorting and it was impossible to pay attention. By the end of the class, the only point Bart remembered was that the formula they were learning could be used to calculate deer population... How that was helpful was lost to him."
4.) He does have a temper; depending on the situation that temper will be directed at either family who is frustrating him, or bad guys who have hurt those he loves. For family his anger usually manifests in explosive avoidance and bitter glares with harsh words, with bad guys it's fists.
5.) He is very creative. Keep in mind he spent years in VR playing puzzle games essentially, have fun with it. He's not Brainiac 5 when comes to solving problems but he is smart and he has his own way of doing things.
6.) He genuinely wants to help and make his friends happy, he doesn't like it when his friends are upset and he tries very hard to make them happy and to perk them up... sometimes in ironically funny and erroneous ways.
7.) He can be very serious when he needs to be, dial down the humor when it is appropriate. You can have the start of a conflict have some fun banter but when it starts to get serious the smiles stop. He's part of The Flash Mafia, after all.
Hope this helps a little? This is just sort of what I do. I have my own interpretation of Bart and it will likely be different from yours.

FREDDIE
THE LAST MOMENTS
THE LAST MOMENTS
By pop legend at his bedside
By Geoff SUTTON
WEEPING 60s pop star Dave Clark told last night how he watched alone as AIDS-stricken Queen singer Freddie Mercury "just went to sleep."
Millionaire Clark, 49, called Freddie a "special friend" as he described the tragic rock idol's final moments.
He said: "It was very peaceful. He just went to sleep and passed on. He didn't say anything — he simply went. It was completely unexpected. I was with him alone."
Drummer Dave, whose band The Dave Clark Five topped the charts with Glad All Over and Bits and Pleces, added: "Freddie's doctor had left five minutes before [Turn to Page 2]

MY PAL FREDDIE
[From Page One] because we thought he would be all right. I cried, but the full tragedy didn’t hit me until later.
“Death always comes as a shock.
“Now I feel numb. Freddie was like a rare painting — a complete one-off.”
Gay Freddie, 45, died on Sunday after a long and painful battle against AIDS.
Dave, now a top showbiz impresario, was among the close friends who gathered at the brave star's bedside.
He said: "I have known him since the 70s. We had a very special relationship. He was a mate and the finest of friends."
Dave, who has a penthouse in London's Mayfair, added: "To be with him when he died was so special."
Freddie refused to go into hospital to fight his illness. Instead he turned his Kensington mansion into a private clinic.
Round-the-clock nurses were hired and his bedroom, which is full of priceless art objects, was fitted with an oxygen tent to help ease his AIDS-induced pneumonia.
A friend said he wanted to stay at home so he could enjoy his beautiful garden.
The friend added: "It is hardly in keeping with his image but Freddie loved going out in the garden and just smelling and looking at the flowers.
Fighter
"Of course some days he would cry about the fact he was going to die but he would always bounce back. He was a great fighter."
Freddie's last hours were soothed as he lay on his kingsize bed beneath a satin Japanese bedspread, wearing a Harrods towelling gown.
[Photo caption: SORROW: Dave Clark gathers flowers left outside Freddie’s mansion yesterday]
MIRROR COMMENT
FREDDIE Mercury joins John Lennon and Elvis Presley in the elite ranks of the giants of pop who will be mourned by millions not for a day, or a week, but for decades.
His public performances were an innovative delight. His brilliant voice, his strutting peacock showmanship and his originality gave rock a new dimension.
Bohemian Rhapsody pushed pop farther than it had been before. He broke fresh grounds, too, as the originator of the pop video.
Yes, he WAS a champion.
HOW FANS CAN SAY FAREWELL
FLOWERS for Freddie’s funeral should be sent to Queen’s fan club, 46 Pembridge Road, London, W11.
A spokesman for the band said that cash donations would help AIDS victims, through the Terrence Higgins Trust.
I kissed him on the cheek, held his hand, and said ‘I love you very much’
By FRANK GILBRIDE
THE only woman to share Freddie Mercury's life told yesterday how she said her last farewell with a tender kiss as the rock star lay close to death.
Mary Austin, 38, sobbed: "I kissed him on the cheek, held his hand and told him I loved him very much and how brave I thought he had been."
The AIDS-stricken singer — pencil-thin, virtually blind and unable to speak — could not respond. And Mary, who for 21 years regarded herself as Freddie's "wife" despite his string of gay lovers, was so upset that she had to leave his £4 million mansion in Kensington, West London.
Moments later, friends told her Freddie had gone. And she rushed back to be once more at his side.
Clutching her three-year-old son Richard — Freddie's godchild — she said: "It was so sad. The suffering I witnessed from Freddie is something I never want to see again. It was awful.
"He had terrible suffering, mental and emotional as well as physical.
"In the last couple of days he couldn't even speak and his sight faded fast in his last few hours. He was very, very thin and couldn't eat much."
Mary, who lives in a flat bought for her by Freddie near the mansion, said the star was heavily sedated when he died.
But she added: "The end came so suddenly. It was not expected on Sunday.
"Even when we knew this was going to come it was still very much a shock.
"But I will remember Freddie with a lot of love and respect. He was brave right up until the very end.
"He was not bitter. He told me he would not have done anything any differently.
"He had no regrets but obviously the fact he had AIDS hurt him deeply."
Weep
Mary said it was she who broke the news of Freddie's death to his parents, devoutly-religious Bomi and Jer Bulsara, who moved to England from their Zanzibar homeland.
They rushed to the mansion from their terraced house in Feltham, Middlesex, to weep with Mary and Freddie's other closest friends.
Mary said the parents were "totally devastated".
And she insisted the star was "very close" to them, despite their strict religious belief that homosexuality was "unclean".
She added that Queen drummer Roger Taylor managed to spend some time with the singer just before he died.
Mary met Freddie when she was working in the trendy Biba fashion store in Kensington and he was helping to run a clothes stall at the nearby market.
They lived together for six years in what Mary called an "affair".
It broke up when Freddie admitted he was gay.
Mary said she was “devastated”. But the couple stayed the closest of friends.
Mary said: "I never stopped loving him and I don't think he stopped loving me either.
Pregnant
Mary, who is pregnant and lives with an interior designer, revealed that Freddie was told he had AIDS months ago.
She said: "He realised the end was coming and he faced it with incredible bravery.
"He still tried to carry on working despite knowing the end was near. He was very creative and positive.
"Even though he was in a great deal of pain he managed to record Queen's last album.
"He carried on working because that's what he enjoyed. He lived from day to day and working helped him have the courage to face his illness.
"I've been seeing him every day recently and we talked about the usual things.
"He enjoyed people and he was a good gossip. Despite everything he kept a sense of humour.
Mary, who stands to inherit much of the star's £25 million fortune, said she thought it would be difficult for her to cope with his sickness.
But she added: "When you really love somebody you can be strong.
"And I was strong for him and with him. My strength came from knowing him.
"Now, I'm suffering a great sense of loss.
"And I feel for the fans who will miss him and are going through their own grief — and the people who have lost loved ones through this disease."

QUEEN SET TO SPLIT
They can’t replace him
QUEEN are set to split up following Freddie's death. But first they are promising a huge party to celebrate his life.
The band, together 20 years, will not seek a new leader. A close source said: "There's no way they could replace a unique vocalist like Freddie."
Queen — who have sold 100 million discs and are now favourites for a Christmas No 1, whatever single they release — have not toured for five years.
Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon are expected to concentrate on solo projects. The band said last night: “We have lost the greatest and most beloved member of our family. We feel overwhelming grief that he has gone.”
They said they shared “great pride in the courageous way that he lived and died. It has been a privilege for us to have shared such magical times.”
They added: “As soon as we are able, we would like to celebrate his life in the style to which he was accustomed.”
Freddie had to keep resting while making his last video — I’m Going Slightly Mad.
But a crew member said: “He soldiered on and gave the filming his everything. He was a born trouper.”

His cash for AIDS
FREDDIE earmarked a large chunk of his £25 million fortune for AIDS research.
The star told executors of his will to make sure the money goes to specialist charities.
The rest of his cash is believed to be set aside for long-time friend Mary Austin.
He bought ten homes as gifts for friends earlier this year.
Weeping fans say farewell to the king of Queen
He WAS the champion!
[Photo caption: DESOLATE: A fan’s face of anguish yesterday]
By GEOFF SUTTON
AT first light yesterday, the fans began to arrive. With tears and flowers, the devoted followers of Freddie Mercury emerged from the gloom to pay tribute.
As radio stations played We Are The Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody in the dead Queen star's honour, the people who idolised him made their way to his London home.
They just felt they had to be there.
Among them was tiny, sobbing Sachiko Sato, who flew halfway around the world from Tokyo and walked the streets of Kensington to find his house.
Sachiko, 30, had left her husband at home to try to see her hero.
She said: "I'll be sad forever now Freddie has gone. Nothing matters anymore. I wanted to be with him for his final hours, but it is enough just to be here."
THERE, too, was 75-year-old Glenys Mayo, who recalled a Queen concert as an "unforgettable religious experience".
A 21-year-old shop assistant risked the sack by reporting sick and travelling from Bushey, Herts, with her mother and a bunch of carnations.
"I needed to say thank you for the music," she said simply.
Hospital porter Chris Girling, 23, from Southall, Middlesex, showed off the Mercury and Queen tattoos on his legs and arms and said: "I had nowhere else to go to show how I feel.
"Freddie was sheer brilliance, there will be no other band to beat Queen. I am here to pay my last respects."
Housewife Janet Findlay, 46, who appeared in Freddie's spectacular Barcelona video, said tearfully: "I hope people remember him for the pleasure he gave and not the darker side of his life."
The flamboyant singer's body had been quietly taken away during the night and there was silence behind the 12-ft walls in Logan Place.
A FLORIST'S delivery of red roses was answered by a burly minder who gently picked up the floral tributes.
Bouquets of flowers — including red roses, white carnations, and yellow freesias — were laid at the front door.
One message read: "To Freddie, We'll never forget you, Your Fans."
Others said: "Rest in Peace, your memory will live forever," and "To the Great Performer, the world will be a sadder place without you.”
The Queen fan club office was besieged with calls.
Secretary Jackie Gunn said: "The fans have just been so shocked. They all feel they've lost a very good friend.”
Freddie's celebrity friends joined in with heartfelt tributes to the great pop showman.
Genesis drummer PHIL COLLINS said: "This is a tragedy. I admired Freddie as a performer and for his honesty in admitting he had AIDS. It is all so Bad."
FRANCIS ROSSI, of Status Quo, said: "Freddie was one of the elite few who could really set a stadium alight.
"Along with millions of fans throughout the world I will miss his exceptional performance and brilliant voice."
DAVID Bowie, who shared the 1980s hit single Under Pressure with Freddie, said: "We will all miss him a lot.
"Together with his band he made a great contribution to popular music.”
Spanish soprano MONTSERRAT CABALLE, who duetted with Freddie on Barcelona, yesterday dedicated to him a song on her new album.
The song, Phantom Of The Opera, contains the line: “I hope you are here in someway another time.”
Montserrat said: “This song at this moment has taken on a very special meaning.”
American superstar DIANA ROSS, top of the […] at the Royal Variety performance, praised Freddie last night for admitting he had AIDS.
She said: “There is […] a stigma attached to the disease and it was wonderful for him to have done that.
“I have lost a lot of showbiz friends to the disease. I only wish there was a cure.”

"FREDDIE'S FEARS ABOUT HUGE HIT'
EXCLUSIVE By ALEC LOM
FREDDIE Mercury was a genius plagued by doubts, his pal Kenny Everett said yesterday.
The DJ said Freddie was even unsure about releasing Bohemian Rhapsody, which became Queen's greatest hit.
Kenny, 46, recalled the singer phoning him soon after completing the song in 1975.
"He said, 'Ken, I don't know what I've done.
"I've finished off this new single and it's about eight minutes long.
"I don't know whether it's going to be a hit'."
Kenny invited the star to bring the recording to his home.
He went on: "Freddie plonked it on my tape machine and, of course, this glorious operatic […]
[…] wonder came out. I remember him being so unsure about this piece of genius.
"When you look back, it was silly really.
"It was so great, it's like Mozart saying, 'I don't know whether my clarinet concerto is going to take off.’ I mean, Bohemian Rhapsody had Number One written all over it."
The song went on to top the charts for nine weeks.
Kenny added: "God gave Freddie gigantic talent and he made full use of it.
"He was never out of the studio and was always playing piano and composing.
“He really did God proud."
Kenny revealed he would not be going to Freddie's funeral.
"They will probably turn it into a party and play lots of his hits," he said.
"But I hate funerals. Why should I go?
"After all, Freddie won't be there.”

Alternative. Season 1 Episode 12: Wolves
Goth mansion
After the disappearance of Alexander, Mortimer and Bella have been very paranoid, they have not wanted to give interviews to the news and above all they have not left the mansion. Cassandra, Mary Sue and Darren have tried to search everywhere for the young man of the Goth family. In one part of the mansion, Mortimer and Marcel Dunnoff were talking.
Mortimer (Smiling weakly): Actually, our children make a good couple... Alex and Ekaterina should get married very soon...
Marcel (looking at his friend with interest): Of course! My family and I haven't stopped looking everywhere for Alexander, we've even asked in Strangertown.
Mortimer: I don't think Alexander is around those places... Bella hasn't been able to sleep very well because of all this...
The man in the beret turned on the television to calm things down a bit.
Tumblr media
Announcement: THE "GLAM GALA '85" WILL BE HAPPENING TOMORROW!!, THE CAPP FAMILY AND THE HASHIMOTO FAMILY ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS EVENT!!, DON'T MISS IT!.
Mortimer (Interested in the Glam Gala): I met Consort Capp once, he's super cocky but he's a nice guy... This year's Glam Gala will definitely be something spectacular...
At the entrance of the mansion.
Ekaterina was worried about Alexander, she felt guilty about everything.
Tumblr media
Ekaterina (Thinking): "Alex, please come back... I miss you so much."
At that moment Cassandra arrives, who looks seriously at the blonde.
Cassandra (Angry): Are you happy that your little boyfriend disappeared Alexander?
Tumblr media
Ekaterina (Furious): Why don't you mind your own business bitch!?
Cassandra: You are a true whore Ekaterina!!, You are just a selfish narcissist!!, someday you will have your karma!.
Ekaterina (threatening Cassandra): NEVER call me whore again! At least I'm MUCH MORE important than you!
Marcel: Girls please stop! Ekaterina go outside and check to see if anyone knows anything about Alexander!
Tumblr media
As the blonde got out of it, she saw Daniel Pleasant, who was looking at her with a nervous smile.
Ekaterina: Hello Daniel...
Tumblr media
Daniel (Without any fear): Did you take a pregnancy test?
Ekaterina (Hugging her boyfriend): Yes... it came out positive....
That news scared the redhead too much, who looked at the surprised blonde.
Daniel: Honey, what are we going to do!? Everyone is going to get upset!
Ekaterina: I don't know... I just think I'll stay hidden when the changes are noticed...
Daniel (hugging Ekaterina): Ekaterina dear, I want you to know that I will always support you and love you!
Tumblr media
In the distance came Mary Sue and her mother Coral Oldie
Mary Sue (watching the scene): What the hell!?
Coral: Honey, calm down, remember that we don't want another mental breakdown!
Daniel: Oh, hello Mary!
In the house of Carlos Contender
Alexander Goth tried to escape from the place, but he had to prevent Carlos from seeing him. he had to warn all his parents and friends, the Rutherford family was very dangerous!.
Tumblr media
Alexander: I need to get out of here, please!
Carlos (looking seriously at Alexander): And what are you going to do? Cry for your mommy and daddy? HAHAHA, you're very weak!
Alexander: I haven't even been able to change my clothes! Can you explain to me why you pay attention to Geoff?
Carlos (Seriously): You see... when I started my boxing career, I met Kenneth Rutherford, a random man, who was very nice and we became friends, but one day... I found out that he had kidnapped a woman named Leandra; Kenneth told me that he was "protecting" her from everything... And he forced me to help him and in return, he would help me become famous... Time passed and Geoff's sister Marissa did the same thing as her father.. And Geoff is doing the same...
Alexander: So, have you seen all of this family?
Carlos (in a low voice): the truth yes... but I am constantly watched by Kenneth and Geoff, they placed security cameras in my house...
In the night
Tumblr media
Almeric, Aldric, Ekaterina, Gabriella and Lola were in the library of Belladonna Cove, the boys were researching something about an assignment.
Almeric: Well guys, remember that we have permission to stay here all night!
Lola: Okay, I've heard rumors that there is a hidden section of the library...
Ekaterina: Ew, that's TOO Nerd! Could you stop giving me the nerd stuff!?
Aldric: Hmm... well, if we better go downstairs?
outside the library
Carlos had felt a bit sorry for Alexander, so he decided to buy him clothes, but on his way he met Geoff and Marissa who were looking at him seriously.
Marissa: Hello Carlos, may I know what you are doing here?
Tumblr media
Geoff (smelling a perfume he recognized): I know my love is here, why didn't you tell me Carlos!?
Carlos: Guys... I went shopping for clothes! I want to try new styles and...
Tumblr media
Marissa and Geoff had gone to the library, leaving Carlos aside. While the Montero boys had found something shocking...

the new level of depression that unlocks a couple weeks into being 20 is definitely not my favourite i can’t even really cry about it it’s just this constant dull knife directly in the heart you can feel your heart trying to beat around it but the very act of your body trying to keep itself alive is just agony because every beat just guides the knife further in. it’s not even a particular sadness anymore it just feels like all my emotions have gone stale i feel everything and nothing at the same time i can’t enjoy myself every single action makes me feel nothing but guilt and i don’t even know why it keeps me awake at night even just messaging someone new keeps me awake for fucking days
every single night i think about when i messaged geoff snd i want to throw up because i feel like the most fucking annoying person on the face of the planet i want to rip my head off guilt over everything just consumes me guilt for everything i do guilt for everything i chose not to do it surrounds every single thing i do i’m so tired i’m so tired of being unable to be happy i’m tired of living in this house i can’t have peace quiet privacy medication time to just cry time to breathe space i dont have a door she used to deny me of any medication or therapy because she “thought i was fine” but now she says we’ll do it that i can have medication but she just keeps lying like she always does about everything and i’m not sure what hurts worse it’s too late anyway it’s too late to fucking try my body is mangled my brain is in pieces ive already euined everything my family is dying thinking and knowing that i’m useless ive seen so much fucking horror ive seen so much ive experienced so much anf i wanted none of it i just want to be happy i just want someone to love me but i need someone to take care of me and i know who i want and who i wanted and it’s just all fucking useless to even bother thinking about what life would be like because it wont happen im not worth the trouble worth the fucking fight worth all the fuccking bullshit i put everyone through i dont want anyone new but no one in my life would ever ever ever want to fucking deal with me like that because nothing is never enough but everything is always too much i cant deal with affection half the time it makes me want to fucking vomit but i need someone to want to just let me rest my head in their lap when i need it i need so much space but none at the same time i want attention but when im getting attention when i dont want it it makes me fucking sick in the stomach and makes me want to run away nobody wants to deal with that to deal with all this stupid fucking bullshit because its so fucking easy to throw myself off or get thrown off and i feel like a horrible fucking person because im just fucking impossible and i just make it miserable for everyone and things just keep getting worse and worse and one day i might not even be able to stand someone even complimenting me and i dont understand ehy it keeps getting worse and why my body goes against what my brain wants or my brain goes against what my body wants why can nothing work why can’t affection just make me happy why cant i just be normal why cant i just fucking be normal wnd have a normal life and have a family who likes me have a dad that doesnt just keep surveillance on me have a mum that’s truthful and doesn’t try to make me relapse that doesnt hurt me that didnt lock me in a garage with sick kittens dying in my arms becayse she refused to take them to a vet no matter how much i screamed and cried who doesnt confuse me so much that doesnt make me feel so upset and sad and confused and angry for loving her a mum that doesnt get angry at every tiny thing i do that just is a good mum why cant i have friends that want to see me and just have a picnic or just go to a beach ones that dont live hours away ones that will just be kind kaja broke my heart because she makes the prank tattoo into this weird branding thing when i just wanted to make both of us laugh she insults me and tries to freak me out she just wants to ridicule me

Tbh, I’m sorry to hear about TOH. I’m aware the show has problems and its fanbase can be non-reasonable and delusional, but sadly, a lot of fanbases are like that. I try my best to separate myself from fans and just enjoy something in its own right. And I think TOH has a lot of strong merits and has done a lot of good for animation even if it isn’t perfect, whether that be inherently or not inherently (fuck those execs for cutting the show short).
Point being, it truly sucks that most fandoms are self-righteous and just dumb lol. I wish we could enjoy content and not have to deal with the stupidity.
Oh yeh heavily agree
I think the fans just completely destroyed TOH for me to the point were I can't even watch the first season which is my favorite and I'm kinda waiting for all my owl house merch to sell out cause I dun even wanna give the fans anything. Sounds dumb and mean but what they are doing to other shows is so disrespectful. Commenting about TOH, blaming shows like Big city greens (which a very great show and was out before TOH aired) and to shows like Kiff and Harleys on it. It feels disrespectful to those creators
I will say it's so dumb why the show got canceled but the owl house isn't the only show suffering. I'm not entirely sure what's happening with the ghost and molly Mcgee but I heard it didn't get greenlit for a season 3 and it's upsetting. Same thing happened with other shows like Wonder over Yonder which is a fantastic show but remember that getting fuck over too. It sucks. And I hate TOH fans only think that's the only show that matters cause of Lumity when they are other shows with LGBT stuff in it. (eg. Geoff and Jeff, Sasha being Bi, Yunion and Olivia, in Moon Girl Casey's parents and even in the proud family had gay couple in there)
I do think The Owl house has done good stuff for animation but it's not the only show that does things we have plenty of amazing shows out there that isn't even Disney shows
UT regardless I'm just thankful the ghost and Molly Mcgee Fandom is so small we dun deal with ALOT of annoying stuff TwT but no matter what we'll always get some shit no matter what Fandom we're in

Escapee From Region IV by Connor S. O’Keefe (cont.)
Chapter 1 Part 2
I arrived at our Charlotte, North Carolina home from school, put my key in the door, and walked inside. I had just turned twelve two months ago, and one of my birthday presents was a house key. My parents were still at work and my older brother, Nathan, was at college attending the nearby University of North Carolina.
There was a strange car parked outside of my house but our neighbors were pretty weird people so I didn't pay any mind to it. My shoulder length pigtails bounced as I walked into the kitchen, put my backpack down, and made a peanut butter and Colby-Jack cheese sandwich. It was my favorite after school snack. I don't remember when I started making these but it was really good. Especially today. It was one of the final days of school for the year, and I had taken four tests today. Math, Science, English, and my worst subject of all, History. I suck at history; dates and names get jumbled in my head and I always end up saying that George Washington Carver was the first President.
My brother was going to be home in a week from his freshman year. I imagined that he would have a ton of fun stories to tell. I sat down on the couch in our living room to watch whatever was on the Disney Channel, probably Phineas and Ferb, when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door to find a man in a white coat standing there.
"Can I help you sir?" I said through my missing front tooth.
He leaned down to reach my height. "Hi there sweetie, are you Grace Eleanor Schnell?"
I felt awkward around him but answered honestly. "Yep! That's me!"
"Well I need to talk to you. It's very important. It's in regards to your parents." He said and asked to come inside. I let him in. "Your parents and I have been talking for a while and they are concerned about you."
"What do you mean?”
"Well, my name is Doctor Richard Borenstein. I work at the Region IV Mental Institute. Your parents have become concerned with the way you have been behaving lately." I was still confused. I didn't think I had been acting strange lately.
"What's a mental institute?"
"It's a nice place that people go when they have problems in their head." He said calmly. "Your parents have told me that they think it might be best if you go there for a while. It won't be too long, we at the R4MI are very good at what we do, and we can fix you up quickly."
"So do I have a choice to go with you? Or can I stay here?"
"Unfortunately not. Your parents have already signed your admittance form, we have come to take you with us."
"Can I wait for my parents to get home before I leave? So I can say goodbye."
"I'm sorry, honey, but that's why I came here now. Your mother was very upset about this and they agreed to not be here when we came to get you." I was confused and upset. I didn't want to go but he was kind and certain that this is what my parents wanted.
"Should I go pack?" I asked, hoping that my mom might be home from work by then. "I'll need clothes, right?"
"No, you won't." He walked over to the screen door and opened it. "Just come with us and we'll give you some really comfy clothes. It's a very nice place. You'll get a very nice room, and toys, and we'll take good care of you. You'll be back before you know it." I lowered my head and began to cry. I was confused. Why would my parents do this to me and not tell me. "No, don't cry." Dr. Borenstein said. "Here, let me carry you to our van, and we'll take you to get ice cream, does that sound good?"
I sniffled. "Ye-yeah. Ice cream."
I awoke with a snap in the bed area of the semi-truck. Momentarily forgetting where I was. Geoff was driving calmly through the night. "Hey, you're awake. You ok? You were crying in your sleep." I wiped my eyes and blinked a couple times so my eyes would adjust to the lights of the dashboard. My head was spinning. The dream I had had had just reminded me of something I hadn't thought about for years; the first time I met Dr. Borenstein. I wiped the crust out of my eyes and looked at the clock. 11:25PM.
"Yeah. Sorry, just a bad dream. Did I say anything?"
"Not really. Just something about waiting for your parents." I looked down and I was under a blanket, with my sweatshirt back on.
"How did I get back here?"
"Ah, you fell asleep in the front seat around 4 o'clock. I pulled over and put you back there. I tried to wake you up so you could go back there yourself but you were out cold."
"What about my shirt?" I asked, trying to not sound accusing.
"I just slipped it on you as best I could, it usually is colder back there than up here and I didn't want you to start freezing."
"Oh, well. Thanks. Where are we?"
"Just outside of Nebraska." Geoff said, keeping his eyes on the road. We sat in silence for a few minutes before Geoff spoke again. "Who are you?"
"What?" I asked in confusion. He was looking at me in the rear view mirror.
Geoff waited a couple seconds before replying. "I saw the tag on your shirt. It's from that crazy house they mentioned on the radio." I looked at my lap and contemplated what to say.
"I don't want to go back."
"Are they as dangerous as the warning said?" I said nothing in reply. A tear fell down my face. Geoff drive for a couple minutes again."If you are," Geoff chuckled. "I don't think you're in any sort of shape to hurt anyone."
The silence in the cab was deafening. "Did they mistreat you?" Geoff finally asked. I didn't say anything. "The shape of you when I picked you up. Whew. I can't imagine it was a good place."
"I don't belong there."
"No one belongs in a place that lets patients look like that."
"No, really!" I said looking up at Geoff, tears still falling. "I'm not crazy! I don't need to be there!"
"What happened?" I waited a few seconds, looking at my lap again. I began sobbing just at the thought of everything I had seen.
Through the tears I croaked, "Are you going to take me back?"
Geoff thought for a minute, and finally responded "No. I'm not. If they let you get the way you did, I think they don't need to have anyone there." I looked at him again, in disbelief. "I'm an old soul." Geoff said, he paused for a second. "What does TS mean?"
"Test subject... I think. At least, that's what they referred to me as."
"Why would they do that?"
I waited a couple minutes, trying to gain control of myself. Finally I told him everything. How Borenstein took me from my home, the screams in the night, the blindfold. I explained to him about the vials and the human parts in pickling jars. I hesitated for a second, but decided to tell him about the lady on the table.
Geoff looked mortified. "Yeah, I'm definitely not taking you back there." I sniffled, and said nothing for a minute. I just stared into my lap. Geoff spoke the silence out of existence with "I'm sorry you had to go through that. It's getting late and I'm close to my daily driving limit. There's a Loves gas station coming up. Maybe we can find you some new close, sweat pants really ain't good for 95 degrees summer heat... and maybe a shower."
The last ten minutes of the ride were in total silence. I was still sniffling and softly crying in the back of the cab curled into a ball on the mattress, but by the time we pulled into the truck entrance of the gas station I had managed to reduce the tears to one or two a second. Geoff got out and left me sitting in the cab for a bit while I gathered myself fully, taking slow deep breaths, measuring them with three second intervals. As Geoff was returning to the truck, I wiped the rest of the tears out of my eyes and rubbed my nose with the sleeve of the crew neck. When he got back to the truck he had a black medium t-shirt with an eagle on the front. He handed it to me and a bag of other stuff. I asked him what it was, he said it was toiletries he had bought for me. He said I had a shower appointment in ten minutes. While we waited we ate at the Wendy's that was attached to the gas station. I ordered a salad and a chocolate frosty, and Geoff ate a Dave's double meal with a Cherry Coke.
The shower felt so good. Another first in five years. My hair was disgusting and I washed it something like four times before I finally felt good about it. I wanted to stay in the shower's hot water forever, but a couple seconds after I finished washing the water shut off. I wasn't sure why but I eventually realized it was because my time limit was over. I put my sweatpants back on and the t-shirt. Geoff drove me to a nearby Walmart and bought me a pair of shorts. Geoff told me I could take the bed, and that he would just recline his seat. I tried to refuse, saying it was his bed, but he wouldn't hear it. "You're young. I'm not. You need some good sleep either way. I bet that place didn't give you a good mattress."
"They didn't give me any mattress." I replied. Geoff threw his hand out and offered me into the back of the truck.

Total Drama Rating Part 1
Getting back into my Total Drama arc because I love the show and decided I’m going to rate every character in the show because I can. These are based on their actions and impressions based on each season they were in.
First, Total Drama Island.
Beth,  5/10 “I personally didn’t really like Beth in the beginning, or atleast wasn’t too invested in her character. It wasn’t until later when she stood up to Heather and started to become her own person is when I started to enjoy her character. The way she got the boot was sad, cause they believed that she cursed the team and was chosen to be booted instead of using the opportunity to vote off Heather.” Gwen, 10/10 “I honestly have too admit that I believe Island is Gwen’s best season - not to say she was bad in the rest of the seasons, but Island was definitely her best. I really enjoyed her character throughout the season and definitely believed she deserved the win. Plus her getting revenge on Heather in the end was awesome.” Dj, 6/10 “I liked Dj in this season. He was one of the guys who were actively bullying Harold and wasn’t a huge cry baby (like later seasons). I noticed that he hardly had any lines in some episodes, if any at all, which is sad. His friendship with Geoff and bunny was really nice to watch.” Lindsay, 8/10 “I love Lindsay. Even though the episodes she was in before her elimination was basically just Heather walking all over her, she had her good moments. I love that she finally stood up to Heather, even though she got the boot in the end. That episode suuucked, she did not deserve to go home like that.” Izzy, 9/10 “I absolutely love Izzy in this season. She was nuts. Her relationship with Owen was super cute to watch and her friendship with Leshawna always made me laugh. Love that she was considered a fan favourite and returned to the island.”
Harold, 5/10 “Can’t say much about Harold. I can honestly not remember a lot about him in Island. I remember him being dragged about his briefs by Duncan and the guys. As a kid I was upset with him that he got Courtney (my favourite character at the time) booted, but now that I’m older, I’m mature enough to see that Duncan got what he deserved. Plus his beat boxing in the talent show was cool.”
Bridgette, 6/10 “I liked Bridgette, she was nice. Her relationship with Geoff was nice. Still don’t understand the choice to make Bridgette cheer for Owen in the end even though she was like besties with Gwen, made zero sense. Also the votes of elimination didn’t really make sense, but I also thought that she served her time on the island.” Cody, 4/10 “His fascination with Gwen was really weird to me as a kid, and even now, I still find it weird and creepy. TBH I can’t really remember anything about Cody besides his final episode where he got the shit beat out of him by a bear and when he helped Gwen with Trent, even though he had a crush on her, so that was nice.” Courtney, 10/10 “Loved Courtney in Island. This was her nice arc. She a lot less bitchy than she is in later seasons, but I still like her. I was so sad when she got booted out, cause I loved Duncney (now I’m indifferent) and they were just starting to become a thing.”
Duncan, 10/10 “Love Duncan. I love this season because Duncan really played into his stereotype (The Juvenile Delinquent). I loved his relationship with Courtney and his friendship with Owen. Too bad it kinda went down the crapper when he got booted cause of cinnamon rolls.” Eva, 4/10 “Was gonna rate her a 3, cause she got eliminated 2nd. But than I remembered that she literally walked into a box with the sasquatch and came out unscathed, wearing his fur as a hat and a pair of boots. So that was pretty sick. I like how they bought her back to cause drama, even though it didn’t make alot of sense, cause Eva wanted to get revenge on the team, even though there were other members of the former team still on the island. (Geoff, Dj)”
Ezekiel, 1/10 “Sexist.”
Geoff, 10/10 “I love Geoff in this season. I gotta say, it’s his best one. I choose not to acknowledge TRR, but I know he wins in that one so that’s cool. I like Gidgette, but I would’ve preferred the OG Gweoff. I really liked their episode together, even though he got booted. Kinda sad that he didn’t root for her to win in the end, but I know he’s the party guy and Owen promised a party.”
Heather, 10/10 “The Queen Bee. She ruled this season. She managed to manipulate her way into the top 3. Definitely got what she deserved though.”
Doing the rest soon, later, probably. :)

I wanna talk about how underrated is the friendship between Hal and Oliver. Like, damn people, this relationship is so important to understand both characters, specially Hal.
Yeah, people always talk about how beautiful is Barry and Hal's relationship, or Dinah and Ollie's but Hal and Ollie's one is not discussed too much. It's like "yeah, they're friends" but oh boy, the story between these two is pretty complex, fascinating, beautiful and kinda sad.
And I think this is bc Hal and Ollie's relationship is kinda similar to the one Hal has with Carol. Not only by the fact that their relationship is pretty unstable but bc it impacted so much in their lifes. Hal learned to embrace his rebel attitude with Ollie, who was the first person to point out to Hal how wrong the Guardians could be. Not only that but Ollie made Hal to rethink about his role as a GL (all of this Ollie discourse about how they should get more involved in the world problems, and that they had the power to make a difference) and what it meant to him.
And they spent a lot of time together, like A LOT to the point that they lived in the other's department or they were the other's first option to call when having a problem or an idea to do something cool. They shared the dream about changing the world, and they were happy that way. Their dynamic at the beginning was about Hal having his head was "up in space" (disconnected with Earth's life) while Ollie was grounded, so he had to help Hal be more connected to Earth's problems. At the same time, Hal introduced Ollie to his life out of Earth.
But it had its problems. Like I said before, their relationship is pretty unstable. Oliver was so hostile sometimes, even pushing Hal too hard, they discussed a lot bc of their different point of views. Another thing it was that both feel like they couldn't keep up each other's pace. So they felt the need to impress the other and get involved in whatever adventure that appeared. Btw, some day Hal just didn't want Ollie to help him in one of his adventures and Ollie was so pissed off, like he felt Hal was telling him he wasn't good enough and the other thing that made him angry was that he really loved being with his friend, he felt abandoned. And yeah, they had sort of a fight and split up for some time. But, like Hal with Carol, they came together again bc Hal really loved being with Oliver. Even if Oliver was mean to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I think this is the least important of their problems. Ollie isn't the best when it comes to emotional issues. And this is when he failed Hal. Hal needed help and Ollie just was so mean with him, even treat him like a burden. Even around that time Hal was a little bit resented with Dinah bc he felt Ollie replaced him with her. They came together again but Oliver was just a mess.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then, the destruction of Coast City happened. Hal was on the verge of collapsing. He talked to Ollie but he didn't care a lot. Like, he was actually happy to see him being so hostile, don't thinking that Hal don't behave that way.
Tumblr media
Then he became Parallax, did Zero Hour and Ollie tried to stop him by shooting an arrow to his heart. Ollie fell into depression bc he thought he killed his best friend and Hal was so confused about what happen.
They talked again one last time before Ollie's death and oh boy, it was so sad. Hal was so desperate to just being with him. He wanted Ollie to escape with him. Ollie denied, feeling more depressed after that (and that's like the final trigger to him bc when he had the chance of being saved by Clark, he preferred to died, he even said that his life was a mess and all the shit with Hal was too much for him)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And OH BOY, when Parallax!Hal sacrificed to saves Earth, he BRINGS OLLIE BACK TO LIFE bc for him, Ollie represented the best part of his life, he represented his happy days.
Tumblr media
One of the things that makes me so upset about the Geoff Johns era is that he kinda erased the importance of this relationship, that was only showed in the Rebirth, Archer's Quest (Green Arrow comics during that time, Hal give him a GL ring), the infamous Cry for Justice and some JLA comics. But the New 52 and the 2016 Rebirth erased all of its importance. Yeah, they are friends now and I think The Green Lantern by Grant Morrison brought back how complex is their relationship (also the road trip is canon again I guess)

When do you think awsten really started to change? Like right after Fandom? I haven’t been a fan long enough to see the change, I just know he’s more annoying than ever and he makes fans mad. I’m surprised I’m still here 💀
I also don’t understand why he said in an interview that he’s doing so much better than he was prior to GH, yet I feel like GH has way more references to self-hatred and death than any of their other albums. I get his whole “fake it ‘til you make it” mentality regarding his confidence, but I can’t tell what’s real and what’s fake, and I’m sure other fans feel the same way. I know this is probably old news especially since GH has been out for almost a year now, but I’ve only recently started watching their interviews, recent and old, and I really do see a big difference
its hard to say exactly but id put him Changing For The Worse actually BEFORE fandom, like in early 2019? thats when he fell in with super annoying nasty twitter funnymen™ in la and it made him a JACKASS. like SUCH an asshole holy shit it was awful. hes cut all of them off now (with dog girl being the last to go actually lol) but the very observable change in how he acted online from “funny chaos-loving endearing jokester” to “self-absorbed asshole with mean jokes and cruel clapbacks” happened shortly after he befriended elijah daniel and company.
and then THAT comically self-aggrandizing attitude carried him through fandom and only snowballed from there….. before fandom he used to joke with otto and geoff like “WATERPARKS IS THE RICHEST BAND IN THE WORLD WERE SOOO RICH” and it was funny bc they were clearly an up and coming band so it wasnt like that!! but it was so endearing and funny you couldnt help but root for them!!!! but then when fandom era hit awsten was like…. not kidding anymore about wanting to be rich and famous and the vibe shifted noticeably. the whole “i want a big house i want nice things” motif mixed with the “its the FANS fault i dont have those, they wont let me be successful like i could if i were a rapper” kind of……. like entitlement isnt exactly the right word, but something close to it, started coming through.
fandom was honestly NOT an insightful or good commentary on fandom itself but it rly set the stage for awsten to be a huge self-centered braggart lol….. all this whining about how his fans like him too much or not enough, dont respect the boundaries online he actively rewards them for breaking, how hes not rich enough, etc etc all started there imo. and fandom did better than any album before it, partly because hopeless records put a lot of work into its promotion and partly because they were doing so well touring after entertainment….
and then it all fell apart honestly. awsten channeled the same shit but worse for gh and kept getting nastier and nastier with his attitude. like interviews are really the best way to judge this for yourself and i think youll see EXACTLY what im talking about when you do: they went from being cute funny character showcases of all the members, awsten cheerful and friendly and cracking jokes, to like….. awstens the only one talking. awsten going on about how great he is. awsten saying his music is the best in the world with no hint of joking exaggeration. geoff and otto go from being silent in the background to just not being there at all. it fucking sucks and i think its VERY clear why so many fans feel upset and let down when u watch the interviews all together
as for the last part of your ask yeah i think awsten is way worse off mentally and emotionally in the gh era than he was even during fandom. hes always had this self-aggrandizing overly confident abrasive persona he puts on to, yknow, be able to perform while also shielding himself from vulnerability, and thats normal. everyone used to like it even, since it was so clear he was puffing his chest up and faking it till he made it. now its become impossible to determine where the asshole braggart narcissistic persona STOPS and awsten the real person STARTS…… and the absolute worst part of all of this is that, based on how he treats his friends and partners when the cameras are off, it might not end at all. they legit might be one and the same at this point

hi! could i ask where the expert you posted on this post is from? thanks 🙏 https://quacka-quacka.tumblr.com/post/667303089158668288/i-agree-paul-always-sounds-absolutely-vile-when
Hello, it's okay to ask that. What I posted is from Body Count by Francie Schwartz. She doesn't go down well with the fandom because she put Paul in a bad light. Paul stans love to accuse her of being unreliable although they can't provide one single piece of valid evidence to disprove anything she said. Honestly, I don't think she tells 100% truth (and she can barely pull third party evidence to back up her claims). But her side of story shouldn't be entirely dismissed out of hand either. She gave the frist-hand observations of Paul's private personality during the time when he's on the edge of the breakup with Jane Asher, when Yoko came into the picture etc. Even Paul stan agrees that she showed how tortured Paul was which no biographer has ever been able to do.
Tumblr media
Like, Paul stans argue that it's okay for Geoff Emerick to prefer Paul to John and dislike George Harrison because Geoff's book is just his POV. We shouldn't be upset about Francie's account, then.
Tumblr media
I think her account about Paul's sex life is interesting. His hang-ups about not being manly enough during the love making sounds so true to me - the masculinity has always been his knot as I discussed here and here. I agree it makes him not a terrific lover as fans expected (and a boring one, yes) but I disagree with some points in the original answer which implied Jane and other girls Paul picked are his gay beards because they(she) only made him feel superior, although someone couldn't seem to wait to see it.
Here's another article by Daily Mail (2006) talks about Paul's sex life:
Forty-five years on, one young companion would recall how "he sat me down in the front room and lovingly told me how the word were his experience and the music was his soul. Anything to get my knickers down!"
[...]
Judy Flanders, a young blonde who dallied with him in America, he was "one cool customer... champagne and roses at night, a pat on the ass in the morning."
