Submitted Prompts #144
*shakes a bag of bird skulls I found in the woodsI and places it on your desk like it's a bag of gold*
I had an idea:
What if the Fenton parents are, in fact very competent Hunters, but they love their children more than their work?
Say the first shot Maddie ever fired at Phanton actually lands, and the scream he makes sounds too much like Danny's voice, to a point even with any ghostly distortion, his own still recognizes the voice.
I can see her pulling Jack to the side, making a ruckus about how the "darn ghost got away just as her blaster ran out of juice". Mostly as a way to get Danny her darling son to leave and go somewhere safe, while his parents have a whole breakdown in the GAV about their dead son.
And so begins the stealthy studies on how Phantom's "human disguise" works, the Revelation of Horrible Truth, keeping tabs on Danny's growth and revising their whole attitude on Ghosts to account for the fact that Danny himself is, at least in some part, a Ghost himself, but all he's done is live his life (and be the little hero Mom always said he'd grow up to be).
Jazz stumbles across his secret and is immediately pulled aside to join the secret "Protect the Baby Ghost" family group chat.
"And what about all the times they shot at him in canon" I hear you ask?
They're damn good shots, but while Maddie can train herself to aim just so that the shot misses just enough it looks like Phantom dodged it, Jack has the Fenton Bazooka outfitted with a tracking HUD that purposely fails to hit everyone's favorite Ghost Boy.
Danny picks up on that, but not on the fact that They Know.
And so begins the single most convoluted training arc ever.
Next time Skulker's in town, Phantom has become untouchable. Not a single shot or electrified net reaches it's target.
(The electrified weapons in particular send the Fentons into a rage when Sam and Tucker finally can't keep hiding it, and come clean about what happened, since the Fentons have proven themselves to be trustworthy)
When Red Huntress comes about, and Valerie Grey becomes barely a distant acquaintance after having only just now started becoming more than a friend, and with the GIW sniffing about, Maddie and Jack pull Danny to sit between them and finally tell him they know, and they want to prove that they'll love him just as much as before, whether Human or Ghost.
Danny breaks down in the safety of his family's love, and takes some time off as Phantom to help his parents establish a proper line of communication with the Ancients, considering they've kinda adopted themselves into the roles of Aunts and Uncles towards their little Ghostling.
Which is a good thing, because in Phantom's absence the GIW make a giant spectacle of destroying several houses while chasing some blob ghosts. They're chased out of town by brick, stone and metal bat.
Next time Red Huntress actually manages to hurt Danny, the Fentons pack up and leave. The Portal can be transported somewhere else. It can be rebuilt.
Their baby boy can't be rebuilt, no matter how much he likes to be a little shit and ignore Reality to quote Shakespeare at his own head (thank you Mr Lancer, for not giving up on him) or "give them a hand".
As Fenton takes the last tour of Amity, Phantom disappears. The Protal has been left seemingly unguarded.
The Ghosts decide to have one last hurrah in Anity Park before Danny closes the Portal, as per their deal. They won't hurt anyone, just cause chaos, but in return Phantom won't stop them. It's not like poor Red has the energy to chase them down, now that she's been "upgraded" into Amity's sole defender (the one time Lancer compares her new lack of sleep to Danny's, horrifying pieces start lining up too well in her mind)
The Fentons move out. Into a quiet farm neighbouring the land that belongs to the delightful couple that are the Kents, and their darling son, little Clark, who stares at Danny mildly horrified whenever he comes by to babysit, or help out with fixing the stubborn tractor. One day under Danny's clever hands, and Jonathan Kent's eagle-eyed gaze, and that damned tractor has never worked so well before. The boy's alright in the old man's eyes, and he makes sure they kid knows it.
After quiet rooftop admissions of one small boy's growing powers (I know Adult Clark is a brick house of a man, but what if he was a little twig while young) and the reveal of Something More Than Human from his honorary older brother, the course of Time sets into it's best version, and an Old Clock smiles, as Superman rises, only to be scolded by Spectre for recklessness.
(Dunno how well it came across, but I'm envisioning Valerie's feelings towards Danny to go from bitter resignation because she " had to" push him away, to horrified despair when the truth starts falling into place. He's her "the one that got away". And it's not like she gave him much of a reason to trust her with his secrets.
Maybe older and wiser Red Huntress gets invited to the Justice League, and has to deal with not just Fenton, but also Phantom flirting with her, after a good long conversation on how dumb they both were as kids, and a mutual vow of "I think I can do better now, and I want to prove it to you")

More Twst x Stardew things
The Royal Sword Corporation opened one of their stores in town years ago. Crowley hates it. He hates the manger, Ambrose, who wants him to sell the community center so they can open another Royal Sword Business in town.
Che'nya works at Royal Sword Mart. Neige actually got his big break from Royal Sword. He got cast in a commercial for it, and it did so well that he's the face of a whole ad campaign now. Vil is angry and jealous because he also auditioned for that role and Neige got picked over him.
Vil still acts and models, but it's on a much smaller scale compared to Neige. Like he gets hired a lot to do ads and commercials for businesses in town, and in all the neighboring towns, to the point he's kind of a local celebrity in the area. He keeps visiting the city to audition for theater, but so far nothing. He ideally would like to move to the city to pursue bigger roles, but it's just not in the cards now.
The witch that turns your eggs into void eggs at night is Malleus grandma. He gets embarrassed, and has tried convincing her to get a different hobby, to no avail.
Fellow and Giddel are event characters. They get hired to work at the county fair during the fall, and sometimes stop by on the Night Market. There's a quest where you can befriend them so they can move into town, and Giddel can join the other kids on their lessons.
Leonas family is very well off. After his father passed while Leona was still a minor, Falena took custody of him, and he still lives with Falena and his wife, Asha. The Kingscholars were successful in their careers and had plenty of money. Like the farmer, they wanted a change of pace from city life and bought a nice inn just outside of town. Falena runs the actual business while Asha still works as a lawyer. Leona is taking online courses while working at the inn. Ruggie also works there and often has to keep Leona on track.
Ace is a carpenter, and was like Robin, the first person in town to greet you and show you to Ramshackle Farm. And like Robin, he also called your grandpa's house crusty. He also has beef with your cat, Grim. Everytime he comes by to work on something, they have a stare off.
Jade is still interested in foraging, and often gives helpful tips, like what is in season and where to find it. His favorite gifts are any mushrooms.
The mermaid who does a show at the Night Market is Rielle.
Ortho, Najma, and Cheka are like the Jas and Vincent in town. They're the local kids you always see running around, along with everyone else's little siblings, like Jack's brother and sister.
Since there's more than two kids in town in this au, there is an actual school house in the area. It's right next to or is connected to the library, and Clara is the local teacher. Trein helps her out by doing the history lessons. Clara will give the older kids their lessons in the morning before doing their more independent study time and class work in the afternoon while she teaches the little ones. Trein usually keeps an eye on the older kids while they work in the library. It's hard though, Lucius keeps demanding their attention when they're supposed to be doing homework.
Ramshackle is still haunted. There's ghost all over the property, and they mostly show up at night. But they will sometime show up indoors, like in the house, sheds, and greenhouse.
If you marry Leona, he will nap in the greenhouse.
If you marry Deuce, he will work on his bike outside.
If you marry Vil, his post marriage heart event is him going away to work after taking a bigger role. Kinda like Elliot going on his book tour.
If you marry Cater, he will post about living on a farm. He will absolutely make vlog type videos going "My day in the life of a stay at home farm husband."

Bubz's Slasher Fictober: Day 2 Thomas Hewitt (Apple Cider)
Welcome to day 2! I hope you all enjoyed day one and as previously probably assumed this one will be going up on October 2nd.
Notes: Minors DNI, Gender Neutral Reader, No specific pronouns used except "You"
Tumblr media
It had been nearly 2 years since you had found yourself at the Hewitt farm, When the small town had gone to hell after the meat packing plant shut down Luda Mae knowing you had nowhere to go offered to let you stay with her and her sons Tommy and Charlie or as he demanded to be called Hoytt and uncle Monty.
A year after you had found yourself at the farm was when the family decided to start looking at more "Unethical" ways of putting food on the table. Luda took you aside and explained to you why this was something that was in the best interest of the family, especially Tommy.
You fell into the ways of the family rather quick. Your role was the friendly face that would lure unsuspecting travelers back to the house where Tommy and Hoytt would be waiting to put meat on the table. This went on for many months like clock work every time someone would role into town. Until one was too smart for your liking.
The day started off as any, You left the Hewitt house and went down to the gas station to man your post. It was about noon when a car containing only one man pulled up, you watched from behind the counter over top of your magazine as he got out and entered the station.
"Well hello their darlin'" The man greeted. You held back an eyeroll at the flirting.
"Hi there! Can I help you sir?" You turned on your best customer service voice. The mans smile widened.
"Well now that you mention it, My car started to give me some trouble about a mile or so back and I was wonderin' if you had anyone here who could look at it?" He asked, Bingo you thought.
"Yes! actually my uncle back at the house can look at it, if you want I can point you in the right direction?" You saw the strangers face hardened for a moment before softening again.
"That would be good darlin', thank you" He said, You shot him a fake smile as you rounded the corner of the register counter to follow him outside. You were in front of him almost to his car when you heard a familiar sound behind you, you turned to look back at him and noticed the gun immediately.
"Now darlin' if you cooperate with me nicely and help me out no one's gonna get hurt ok?" Stiff with shock you willed your head to nod. He motioned for you to climb into his car and you followed willingly. Even though he had the upper hand you knew who was waiting back at the house for you so you gladly led the unsuspecting fool back to the Hewitt house.
You knew uncle Monty was probably asleep in his room while some old movie blared on his tv, and Luda Mae was out for the day visiting her friend the tea lady so all you had to worry about was Hoytt and Tommy. You lead the man up the old porch stairs as he held the gun to you, You made sure to knock on the door 3 times before opening. It was the code you had made to alert the family of danger and you knew Hoytt and Tommy were jumping into action.
"You know it's not to late to change your mind on this" You spoke to the man as you stood in the kitchen with him still standing behind you. He scoffed.
"And why would I do that?" The man sneered, you could feel barrel of the gun pressing into the back of your skull.
"Because if you don't, you're going to regret it" You said matter of fact as the kitchen was suddenly overtaken by the sound of a chainsaw revving up.
When Thomas burst through the old kitchen door the man was too shocked to move the gun quick enough. The chainsaw came down on his arm holding the gun as you quickly side stepped out of the way but not before grabbing the gun from the man.
He screamed and swore at Thomas, not that much could be heard over the chainsaw.
The chainsaw came down once more this time on the man's chest, silencing him for good. Once the man slumped into a pile on the kitchen floor the chainsaw was turned off.
You turned to Thomas and smiled up at the behemoth of a man.
"Thank you darling, You're so good at keeping me safe" You praised knowing Tommy would eat it up. You saw his eyes lighten through his mask as his free hand came up to caress your cheek, the nervousness of him possibly losing you slowly leaving his body.
"Goddammit boy! Look at the mess you made of the kitchen!" The moment was interrupted by Hoytt finally stepping in to see what the commotion was, he looked at the two of you.
"You damn kids better have this shit cleaned up and spotless before mama gets home! You know how she hates her kitchen messy" he said grabbing a beer from the fridge then heading back into the living room. You rolled your eyed and groaned.
"He's right for once Thomas, We don't need to let mama see this" Thomas nodded and set the chainsaw on the table, Looks like you and Thomas would have to wait till after dinner.

What if Reader fell in love with another demon (like one living on the mountain or one that has come to talk with the kings).
And would this change anything if this love is a mutual love or not a mutual love ?
(mutual attraction or no, any other suitors of reader aren't gonna last very long once the monkey demons learn about them)
if its a visiting demon sovereign, then i guess the boys are down an ally. no biggie, they never liked that guy anyways. if reader asks where he went, the fellas can just say they caught him stealing from the royal treasury or something.
for the ffm citizen hypothetical, it's probably a particularly sweet farmer (cough @lavenderskye29 's xi-wang cough).
perhaps this citizen doesn't feel like it's fair that their queen is forced into her role. they've had the chance to talk with her, become friends with her...they've begun to understand why their leaders are so enamored with her. they want to help reader, even if just a little.
the warlords initially don't think much of the new "friend" reader mentions occasionally at evening meals or grooming sessions. she's a friendly human and she loves getting to know new people; she makes new friends on the mountain all the time. nothing to worry about.
it's only when macaque catches wind of this potential homewrecker talking about their plans to help reader escape (conveniently out loud) that he decides to have a little talk with them. for now, mac will save his brother the headache of worrying about this and deal with it himself (that, and he's sure that wukong would just outright kill the guy if he knew).
he catches the farmer in the peach groves, harvesting the season's latest crop. they startle and freeze when macaque's voice echoes from the shadows of the fruit trees, seemingly from all around them.
"So, couldn't help but overhear you talking about your little plan a minute ago. That takes guts; I'm almost impressed. Honestly, where do you get the audacity?"
the farmer grows more and more nervous as the grove grows dark, the sun drowned out by the six-eared demons' dark aura.
"Not to mention you're hitting waaaay above your pay grade. You honestly think someone like her would settle for someone like you?"
the shadows laugh cruelly, and macaque shifts the darkness closer to his anxiously shivering victim.
"You do realize she's married, right? And not to just anyone, farm boy. She's married to a king– your king...and to me."
the dark-furred demon kicked off from the tree he was leaning on, emerging from the shadows. his eyes burned like amethyst stars from underneath his angrily-knit brows, fangs grit in a threatening smile. his tail lashed angrily behind him as he tried to keep his temper in check. macaque paced toward the farmer slowly, stopping once he was right in front of them.
"She's really precious to us, y'know? So if you don't want to lose something precious to you, say, your limbs or your life...you'll stay away from her. This is your only warning, by the way. Happy harvest, tough guy."
macaque steps out of the farmer's space, giving a two finger salute as he sinks into the shadows at his feet. the farmer flinches away as the shadows fade back into the light of day, their fur standing on end.
they–they might need to be more careful about what they say from now on.

Hello! I hope you've had a good day or night, I have a request. Been having a bad week thanks to anxiety (fuck you) and was wondering what the 141 boys + könig's reaction would be if a member of the team, named SunBun, who has social anxiety but is usually very chatty and full of energy stopped being themselves, was closed off, didn't talk as much, wasn't constantly showing everyone funny videos, etc. After a bit they find out the new member of the team was a complete Asshole to SunBun and told them to shut and that he didn't wanna talk to the "most useless member of the team". If this makes you uncomfortable you don't have to do it. Have a good day/night
Fourth of July- 141+ König
First of all, I hope you are doing great now, so here's so a little something to help ease ya.
A/N: please ignore the title...I might change it but for now its..well..that.
R/n is the human embodiment of golden retriever energy. She is everywhere, always spreading their kindness around the base. By now everyone has gotten used to this. She is always there when you feel low she's there. She has social anxiety, making friends back home wasn't easy. But here, she tries her best to as social as possible. Always talking the ears off of her team and any soldier that's near her. She has an amazing memory, and everyday she lets her tongue roll, filling her boys with useless information. "A crocodile cannot stick its tongue out" she says while sitting on the counter top of the bases small kitchen. "read it in a book back in 4th grade."
After training and meetings you'd show the boys videos that you would find funny. They adored how you laughed so loud it made your stomach hurt, your smile and laughter was contagious, and in their line of work this was the one escape they had.
SunBun had become your new name around base, but only your boys were allowed to call you that. The name started when you had told the team how back home you have a farm, all day you could show pictures of your bunnies, and quite frankly you reminded them of a bunny, so soft to touch, tiny and fast as one too. You had quickly become their ray of sunshine on missions. That was the origin of SunBun.
However the pasty 2 weeks were different. No one had heard you tell your jokes or useless facts, or random bursts of giggles. All day today you sat and stayed quiet. Only talked when needed, no jokes or a single smile. Soap even missed his daily bear hugs from you. Ghost needed your random bursts of energy. You went from your room to the kitchen and to the meeting room, and when no one needed your help you'd be back in your room. Even some rookies missed how you'd teach the about different flowers and how they can be preserved.
Price knew you always recharged your social battery at night, you'd go to bed at 9 and he knew you needed to be alone. But a week? That was too much. When asking around Gaz found out the new team member had treated you so horribly. His nickname was Steel, he was a good soldier and a recommendation from some of Price's old buddies.
Gaz had heard from some rookies that he had called you "the useless member of 141". They had reported seeing you greet him with a handshake and your classical smile. But after you explained your roll in the team he said "SunBun? what a shit name," he chuckled "oh. um" you went silent immediately. "And your role here is useless...you give us nothing to use...you just run around like a child...seriously grow up." his voice sounded so cocky. You just stared at the ground, tears threatening leave your eyes. "I better get going" you said and walked away. Ever since that encounter you have completely shut down.
This is how each one of them reacted:
Cpt. Price:
He looked for you everywhere, all your favorite spots, but soon found you in your room, reading some book
"Steel called you useless?" "yes. and maybe he is right"
He walked up to you and cupped your face in his hands.
"You my dear are not useless, think of how much you have helped us at base and in missions. How much your kind heart has made ours feel warm."
You started to cry and he wiped every tear, he would sometimes kiss your eyes and pretend your tears were very salty and make funny faces.
You giggled and hugged him.
He caressed your hair and whispered sweet nothings.
"I will always protect you from assholes like him, because nobody hurts my SunBun."
He kisses your forehead multiple times. As well as your hands and cheeks.
Once you have calmed down he lays you in your bed.
He lays with you and tells you stories of his past and lets you fall asleep in his arms.
The next day, steel is called to his office. where price lets him know he has been reassigned to a new team.
But before he left, Price wanted to spar with him.
Safe to say he let out all of his anger on him. Nobody stopped him.
He missed his ray of sun, your random noises while trying to do an activity on the field.
His way of love is like “Since we’re alone” by Niall Horan (if you don’t like Niall…we can’t be friends tbh he’s my Irish lover)
Sgt. Gaz:
the moment he found out why you had been acting so different he walked up to Steel, he confronted him.
with help of soap, steel received what I call "military discipline" (a lot of punching and a lot of bleeding (from steel ofc)).
He then ran to your room, covered in some blood he poorly tried to wipe off.
There he found you, laying in your bed reading a book.
"SunBun?" his voiced softened once his eyes met yours.
You knew why he was there and soon your eyes watered
you told him everything he had said.
He held you in his arms as you cried a little.
He took his phone out and showed you videos of ducks in ponds, or highland cows.
He saw how your frown had disappeared.
"I will always keep you safe from this cruel world my sweet darlin'" he whispered as he kissed your forehead.
He spent all day making paper flowers with you!
"you aren't what he said you were...to me you're the most intelligent, kind, brave, generous, funniest, loyal and most sincere person I've met."
"if you only knew how much I admire your happiness"
God did he miss you. Although you were around base he missed the feeling of excitement you brought him.
That night he let you talk his ears off!
I want to srsly hug Gaz…i just know he gives the most warmest of hugs
He gives me “Lover” by Taylor swift vibes
Sgt. Soap:
You can't convince me this man wouldn't try to unlike steel
he would punch the living shit out of him and then guilt trip him to think he got that from an enemy at a mission
he'd make sure he would never hurt you again
"say it..and y'better mean it"
Steel *: "I'm sorry r/n, I'm sorry that I called you useless...I'm the one who is useless"
Soap would then take you to the kitchen and cook your favorite meal.
"Only for my sweet SunBun" he'd said as he serves your food
After you'd finish your food he'd take you to your room and read a book to ya.
You'd be cuddled against his chest, when he would feel your tears fall on his shirt.
He'd stop reading and just rub your back while giving you constant forehead kisses.
"Y'are smart. Y'are kind and y'are beautiful"
You'd cry even more
"Don't cry my angel...please don't cry"
He would tell you all about his family back in Scotland, how much they'd love you if they would meet you.
He would pull a blanket over you and make sure you stay warm and comfortable.
"If another person calls you 'useless' you tell me and I'll take care of it...because liars deserve punishment"
That night he stayed up with you, listening to you and those fascinating stories
I know for a fact this man would play Hozier’s “would that i” just to set a calm mood.
L.t. Ghost:
this man would have to be stopped before he kills steel.
he leaves him with cuts on his face, a bloody nose and so much more
he'd go and look for you, his anger would leave the moment he saw you. Like no joke he’d go soft the second his eyes found you.
His voice would go from harsh and loud to sweet and soft, as if he spoke any louder he’d hurt you
I know people say he is like emotionless but you’re the exception. You have him wrapped around your finger
He gives me cottage core vibes when he’s with you, (please tell me you get this)
When he approaches you he is slow, as if you’re a ticking bomb
Once he wrapped his arms around you, you lost it. Your tears fell on his shirt and he’d make remarks like: “such a shame..i liked this shirt” “can always buy a new one…so wipe that runny nose of yours”
God this man would be such a softie, he’d hold you close to him, and would wait for you to calm down,
He would listen to you all night and would say: “SunBun, you are the starts to my night sky, never underestimate your power, useless is the one who can’t be kind…and you my love are more than kind.”
When in his arms he’d rock you two, until you fell asleep.
He knows you are comfortable in his arms so he wouldn’t move all night.
While asleep, he’d also tell you sweet nothings.
He would probably cry a little, because how can human, as kind, beautiful, and so goddamn annoying (sarcasm babes), think they are useless?
Often while looking at you sleep, he would probably thank anything for bring you in his life.
Because of you this man knows what an angel looks like. He gives me “Take me to church” vibes yk?
König:
This man is already feared by everyone because of his height, so when he heard who was the reason for you acting so ‘off’ he immediately thought of two things
1. He had to find you, he knows how bad your social anxiety can get, he knows from first hand how that feels like, so when steel made you feel so little, he had to hug it out of your system
2. Had to find Steel, he wanted that man to pay for what they did to his “liebling”,
Price had to intervine and had steel taken to the infirmary for major damage
Gosh, the power you have over this man is insane, one second he is so close to killing another soldier and the next one he is on his knees, looking up at you
“König, get up, the floors cold” you said, still staring at some random book.
“I know what happened r/n,” his hands met your knees
“You are more than enough for this team…you aren’t childish liebling”
You started to cry, your sniffles filled the room.
”Please don’t cry” he cupped your face in his much bigger hands. He wiped your tears and proceeded to plant soft kisses on your face
You giggled a little, his heart stopped for a little. That giggle of yours drove this man crazy.
He for sure laid you down on your bed and after much hesitation laid on top of you.
He is like the best weighted blanket one could ask for.
He has always given me gentle giant vibes. Like everyone is afraid of him because of his height but not you, because you know all this man needs is a hug at the end of the day and of course a social battery recharge.
He for sure waited ‘til you feel asleep so he could get up and help you clean your room.
I know for a fact he brought some snacks and waited to you woke up.
He softly whispered “morning SunBun. I brought us your favorite” with his cute little Austrian-German accent poking through.
He make my heart melt because since he knows how bully and social anxiety do to one person, he makes sure for months on end to always be near you, always assuring you, you’re his best person (he can’t put his love for you into words…clearly)
He gives me “Fire away” By Niall horan…if you disagree..fight me babes bc i know for sure he is just..the sweetest.
I sure hope you enjoyed this!!

Other ways they say "I love you"
///Magishift Club Edition///
Characters: Leona, Ruggie, Epel
Tags: Gendernetrual pronouns, Can be read as Selfinsert/Prefect/yuu/Twstsona, Pronouns used are only "you" ,
Tw / Cw : Implied relationship but you can read as pre-established, Food talk in ruggie's but only pizza mentioned by name, Reader/Prefect/Yuu is able to drive,
A/N: this is my first time writing like this. If I missed a TW tag please please PLEASE tell me. I am working on more of these with other characters. I wrote all of this for Leona and Sebek's, but it spiraled into more.
711 words | Not betaread | Quickly edited | tell me if i made mistakes
Writing undercut
Leona
“Pull over. Let me drive for awhile”
I think that regardless if youre Male, Female, or anything else Leona would still take a “protector” role. I think it's just how he is, not just because he’s a lion. I feel like his love language is protecting/providing. So making sure your fridge is stocked, You have a nice blanket for winter, and getting you a fan for the summer heat is more his style than verbalizing it.
I have this HC that he would pretend to get up before you both go to sleep to get water/ go to the bathroom but he’s really checking all your doors and windows to make sure they’re locked.
I think that the protective, caring side would lead him to prefer driving while you rest. It’s not a matter of thinking you’re a bad driver or not trusting you, it's a simple matter of wanting to do something for you.
“Watch your step”
He probably likes watching people eat pavement so I think its just a simple matter of not wanting you to get hurt.
He definitely holds the door open for you. Again regardless of your gender, he does this. You can be 3x his size he is still doing this.
Epel
“I’ll walk you home.”
A classic. Really this could go for all the boys but I can see Epel doing this clearly. He lives in the country on acres of land, surrounded by miles of trees. As someone who lives near the country, I can say It gets DARK at night. the street lights are normally a bit far apart and because there is less light pollution there isnt really any extra light. Trust me its not fun to walk alone. So having someone walk you home is super normal and more less expected.
Felmier family Headcanon: If Epel’s Grandma was out at someone else’s house his grandpa would go over to where she was when it got late so they could go home together, chatting and laughing as they walk. Epel’s parents carried this tradition on even doing it to Epel when he’d stay out late.
Even though you’re both at NRC and there is much more light at night, its no longer about comfort of someone walking with you and more about walking together. Just like his grandpa, Epel loves the time spent walking you to your dorm. The jokes and stories you too share. Just going over what your plan for the week is. It’s one of his favorite parts.
“It’s not heavy. I’m stronger than I look.”
You don't work on a farm for your whole life and not have upper body strength, Okay. I think kinda like Leona, Epel is a provider or wants to be. So being able to help you AND show off his muscles is not a chance he will pass up.
Ruggie
“I saved a piece for you.”
“Try some.”
Okay, so both of these have to do with food and it's not anything you haven't heard before BUT hear me out.
IRL when you don’t always have access to food, Going out of your way to share your food and enjoy it with another is something special. But going out of your way to save food for someone is normally reserved for family. If you have extra to give, give to your neighbor. But when you don't have that extra, everything is for family.
Even if Ruggie is no longer worrying about food, those habits die hard. When he saves a slice of pizza for you just because he thinks you will enjoy it, it means something more than just making sure you’ve eaten. He knows you’ve eaten, there is food in the cafeteria, and in your dorm, and he even knows Sam would give you freebies if you didn't have food. So it's more about just sharing it with you. The experience of eating together so to speak.
I do think there is an aspect of it being about making sure someone he cares for has a full belly. Him wanting to make sure you never go to bed hungry or have to worry about food. I don’t think it would be his main love language but food is definitely one of his ways to show he cares.
Tumblr media
=================
I don't think I wrote Ruggie's part right. And I think I could have done better in Epel's part but I really like this series. It's a little hard sometimes for me to find my wording. This is a problem I deal with IRL too so I hope yall understood what I was saying. I'm trying yall.
I really like this series idea and I already have the basketball club version drafted I just have to edit it. So expect that at some point.
Anyway, Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. this was my first time writing this style. As always feel free to send asks and questions to me!!

What Their Family Thinks About You {Some Stardew Valley Marriage Candidate’s}
Obviously not all the candidates are included in this one, and even some I didn’t write since they seemed very similar to another (like Haley’s was like Emily’s for example).
The characters included in this one includes Sebastian, Sam, Alex, Shane, Abigail, Emily, and Penny :))
TW: There’s angst in these headcanons, some headcanons including slightly heavy topics.
Tumblr media
Sam:
Sam waited for a bit before properly introducing you as his significant partner. A part of him probably felt a little shy about it for some reason.
But Jodi already had a feeling you were dating. Sam made it pretty obvious since he was pretty bad at sneaking you in and sneaking himself out of the house, plus Sam get’s goo-goo eyes when he looks or talks about you, even before you two started dating. Not to mention the fact that Vincent constantly went to her and talked about how he saw the Farmer with Sam, and usually flustered Sam when he talked about you.
But Jodi was still ecstatic when Sam finally had the guts to tell her. She insisted that he brought you over ASAP for a family dinner.
She’s very kind to you. Well… She always was, right when you came to the valley. But it seems like she somehow became even sweeter the moment Sam showed interest in you. You were making her son happy, so of course that’d make her love you more!
You were always sweet anyway. You did your best to help the entire valley, not just her son.
Vincent also seemed to take a liking to you before you started dating Sam. You always played with him, and gave him little gifts when you could. Though, he did sometimes play the role of the little sibling who always (accidentally or purposely) stole the attention of the Farmer from Sam. And sure, it sometimes bothers Sam, but he doesn’t want to be mean to Vincent. He’s honestly just more happy that Vincent likes you at all.
And then there’s his father, Kent.
Kent is a bit harder to get closer with, considering the things he’s been through. He’s not mean to you by any means, but he’s just a little hesitant to build up more relationships.
He warms up to you, slowly but surely. He’s glad you’ve been there for his wife and kids, and he’s happy that Sam is happy with you. He’ll become more talkative with you as time goes on, and start showing his appreciation with sending you some useful things in the mail and such.
The family all treat you as their own, and Sam is more than pleased! He knew his family would love you, but it still excited him that they do!
Jodi invites you to dinner at least once a week, and there, Vincent always wants to play with you. And even if Kent is usually pretty quiet, he asks you about the farm, and you guys sometimes chit-chat about certain topics when you come over. Then the evening is finished off with a lovely dinner from Jodi.
When you and Sam head off to your shared home, you jump when Sam wraps his arms around you. You’re confused for a moment, but melt when Sam gives you a loving smile.
“Thanks for getting along with my family… I don’t know how I got so lucky .”
Sam is usually pretty excitable and loud. But this time, he’s more quiet. It’s oddly sentimental.
“Aww… You’re getting all red in the face, sunshine! You’re so cute…”
Shane:
Shane probably didn’t feel a need to really hide his relationship, since Marnie, like Jodi, could tell that Shane loved you. As for Jas, she helped push you to give Shane a bouquet, so of course she knew too.
But he partially did want to hide away from Marnie at the beginning of your relationship, since she liked to tease you two a whole lot. She usually did with a whole lot of teasing puns, which made it feel worse for Shane.
But after the whole teasing phase, she’s very warm and kind to you. She often lets you know how appreciative she is that you had helped Shane through such a hard time in his life. She admitted to you she had almost given up, but you had come into the valley, and she believed you to practically be an angel.
Jas also adored your company. Warming up to Shane caused Jas to warm up to you as well, to the point where, like Vincent, she also wanted to play with you all the time, sometimes taking you away from Shane.
Shane didn’t do anything to stop her. It warmed his heart Jas liked you so much. It made him love you even more then he already did. He constantly thanked you for spending time with her, and showing her so much kindness.
I don’t think Marnie would invite you to dinner, but not because she dislikes you. She invites Lewis to dinner all the time, and if you play/watch Stardew Valley, you should know why dinner isn’t an option.
But, Jas does like to come to your house to dinner, if you’re fine with it of course. She also likes to spend time with you and Shane both, so you three constantly do fun things together.
Also, I’ve said this before, but there’s a headcanon I’ve seen in the past of Jas potentially living with Shane after he moves in with you. If she couldn’t live there 100% of the time, she’d at least have a room there.
One of Jas’s favorite moments was learning to bake with you two. Shane didn’t really have experience baking, but you’ve baked before after getting some recipes from ‘The Queen of Sauce’ and from some of the villagers in the valley.
After you had taught Shane and Jas how to bake one of her favorites, a strawberry cake, you three sat around the table, Jas kicking her legs happily as she took a bite of her slice of cake. She glanced up at you and Shane, seeing you giving his a kiss on the cheek as you handed him a soda.
“Thanks pumpkin.”
Jas watched as he fiddled with his mermaids pendent while staring at you, as you got a piece of cake for yourself too. He looked completely whipped for you, and even Jas could tell he was utterly in love. Suddenly, a question popped up in her mind. She paused before she looked up at Shane.
“Uncle Shane?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you and Y/n going to give me a cousin soon?”
Shane then proceeded to almost choke on his drink as you stood there is a flustered haze.
Abigail:
Abigail actually told her mother, Caroline, immediately when you guys got together. She just couldn’t keep it a secret when she was this excited! However, she wasn’t excited when it came to her dad… She did not want to tell Pierre.
I feel most of us have the general agreement that Pierre is one of the worst people in the valley. He just isn’t that nice of a person, and I feel like Abigail is smart enough to see that. She loves her dad, but he’s painfully traditional and greedy. He tends to make her angry because of how annoyingly ignorant he can be sometimes.
She knew she’d have to tell him one day, but not now. So, she asked her mom to keep quiet, at least for awhile. And Caroline thankfully does like you, and she was aware of her husband’s nature and how it could come off. So, she agreed, but wanted Abigail to tell him eventually.
It was probably a bit awkward for you to be shopping at Pierre’s while he remained unknowing of your relationship with his daughter, but it was honestly a blissful two months of silence from Pierre.
And then one day, Caroline had finally had enough, and told Pierre. She meant no ill will, but she thought it’d only be a week or two of not saying anything, not two months.
And Pierre was not happy. Abigail got in trouble with her father, and he even almost picked a fight with you. So now, Abigail wasn’t happy with her mother or her father.
But this didn’t hurt your relationship, Abigail loved you dearly, she always has!
But after this, Pierre only got worse in Abigail’s eyes. His initial anger wore off, sure, but then his greedy side came in.
He started trying to convince you to “share a family business.” And at first, you did give him some of your crops, since you did want him to like you, but then he sold the crops that were yours and claimed them as his own, and called the bad crops he grew yours. It was salt in the wound when he paid you less then what your crops were worth.
When Abigail caught wind of this, she was furious.
“Dad, you can’t just take Y/n’s money like that! Who do you think you are!?”
You felt bad it strained their relationship a bit, but Abigail assured you it wasn’t your fault.
Even if Pierre wasn’t the best, Caroline did try her best. She and Abigail were on bad terms for a moment after Caroline told Pierre, but Abigail forgave her shortly after, since she could understand where her mom was coming from. Plus, Caroline did make Pierre pay the actual worth of your crops, and even secretly told some of the villagers that they were indeed your crops (but sadly framed it as a mix up instead of the actual story).
You also noticed something odd… The Wizard was being nicer to you! But thats probably just a coincidence… Right?
After you two got married, Pierre tried harder to start a business with you, but you rejected it over and over. Abigail eventually told him to stop bothering you, causing further strain.
You confessed to Abigail you still felt bad over the whole incident, and she oddly she just giggled at this.
“Y/n, you’re too sweet. I keep telling you it’s not your fault! I love you, so of course I’m going to defend you. I always will.”
Emily:
Emily was pretty excited getting into the relationship, and it didn’t take long for her to want you to spend more time with her sister.
Haley, of course, knew you were in a relationship with Emily. Emily never stopped talking about you even before the relationship, and when she came home with the bouquet, cheering and practically running around the house, Haley put the pieces together pretty quickly.
And sure, Haley met you, and you two knew each other, but she wasn’t sure if she approved of you quite yet. She knew you were nice, since practically everyone in town wouldn’t shut up about you, but she really loves her sister, and wants to make sure the person her sister loves isn’t a bad person, y’know?
or isn’t someone like Clint
So, Emily invited you to dinner after her sister insisted. Honestly, you were slightly intimidated. Haley is a bit ruthless at times, sometimes described as mean, so you wanted to make a good impression.
So, you had brought gifts for the two of them, and Haley was surprised that you had gotten not only Emily a gift she loved, but you also got a gift for Haley, and it was also a gift she loved.
Then, throughout the evening, you had continued to make a good impression. You treated Emily so well and showed an interest in what Haley liked. You never said anything remotely mean to either of them, or even anything shady about any of the villagers.
Soon, Emily excused herself to the bathroom, leaving you and Haley alone. You were about to start a conversation about a topic she’d enjoy, but she interrupted you.
“Alright… Listen… I can already tell you’ll be a good fit for my sister. You seem really nice, and you treat my sister well. It also gives you points you aren’t like that creep Clint… But just promise me that you’ll treat her well for a long time, okay? I swear to god if you ever make her cry I’ll kick your ass.”
Of course you promised Haley, but then you two heard a loud “aww” from the doorway.
Haley was beyond embarrassed her sister heard all of that, but Emily was swooning, thinking it was the sweetest thing in the world.
“Were you standing there the entire time?!”
“I couldn’t help myself! It was just so sweet to hear!”
Penny:
You were well aware that Pam wasn’t the best at times, so it was understandable Penny was included on the group of people who would prefer your relationship remain on the down low for awhile.
But Penny is the sweetest person in the valley (besides Evelyn of course), so she didn’t want to hide it for a long time. After all, she loved her mom despite her faults. It was just kind of hard to start a conversation about relationships with her.
You offered to be there when Penny told her, but Penny insisted she wanted to tell her alone. It wasn’t that she didn’t want you there, but she felt as if Pam might take it wrongly at first since Penny kept it quiet for a little while.
And she was right. Pam took it as if she was embarrassed of her or something, which wasn’t the case at all. Pam needed time to cool off, and when she came back to Penny, she was still irritated. She gave Penny the silent treatment for a couple days, which really hurt her feelings. Luckily, you were there at her side, so it made it a little easier.
“Thank you, honey… I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t by my side.”
Pam was conflicted. She wanted Penny to be happy, but felt like this was the start of losing Penny, since her daughter was really the only thing she really has. The fact Penny didn’t say anything didn’t help, and seemed to make Pam think that this was her reality now. Not to mention she didn’t really have a good experience with love, Penny’s father leaving the two of them.
Pam had thought about it a lot at the saloon. She realized after a few days that Penny couldn’t have meant anything bad by it, since it really wasn’t in Penny’s nature, she knew that. And you weren’t like her ex-husband. Even if you two didn’t really talk much, you had the kindness to literally buy her and Penny a house. But she still felt like she would lose Penny either way.
Pam accepts your relationship, but isn’t really excited about it like some of the family members on this list.
When Penny inevitably moves out, it continues to eat at her.
But Penny makes the effort to visit her mother, and invite her to holidays. Pam doesn’t always go to the farm for the holidays, but sometimes she comes and visits.
After awhile, she realizes you are good for Penny, way better then she was. It still doesn’t make her excited, and it even eats up at her more.
Penny is a bit disheartened her mother doesn’t seem happy for her, but she knows she can’t always help her, no matter how hard she tries. She does try to constantly remind her mother she’s always there for her, but Pam is stubborn.
Regardless, Penny is still happy with you and Pam, even if it isn’t the happiest ending.
Sebastian:
Sebastian didn’t want to tell his family for so many reasons.
The biggest reason was that, in his eyes, they wouldn’t really care anyway.
Maybe his mom would, but Demetrius definitely wouldn’t, and Maru is pretty indifferent to things involving him. She won’t jump for joy if something good happens in his life, but she wouldn’t laugh or make his life worse if something bad happened. He’s also in no contact with his biological father, so it’s not like he can tell him, even if he wanted to.
A part of his did want to express his joy with his family, or for them to be happy for him, but he wasn’t even included in the little things, so he doubted they’d care if he started dating someone, even if it was a relationship as serious as yours.
He is glad he can express his happiness with Sam and Abigail though, and they don’t mind listening, no matter if he babbled about you or not.
He eventually does tell his mom after she admits someone had told her about you and Sebastian. She cares a lot more then Demetrius and Maru, and feels guilty the reason why he didn’t tell them in the first place, not to mention that she didn’t even notice for a long time.
Robin happened to tell Demetrius and Maru. As Sebastian predicted, Demetrius didn’t care, and often forgot about it entirely. Maru frustrated Sebastian quite a bit when she expressed her surprise that someone like Y/n would date someone like him. She didn’t really mean it in a bad way, but it defiantly came out in such a way.
Robin seemed like the only one who made an effort to connect with you. She tried to push Demetrius and Maru and get involved, but they expressed no interest, Maru usually being busy and Demetrius being a shitty step-dad.
One day, out of no where, Sebastian had said something that truly made your heart ache;
“… I’m sorry my family is a bit distant from me. I know it can hurt your feelings, but it isn’t your fault at all. It’s mine…”
It was truly painful to hear Sebastian blame himself for that kind of this when it really wasn’t his fault either. You were quick to assure him that you loved him, not his family. You assured him it wasn’t his fault either.
He sighed, melting into your hands.
“Thank you… I just… I love you, and I want to make sure you’re happy.”
Of course you’re happy. Who wouldn’t be happy with someone as sweet as him? <33
Alex:
Alex doesn’t really have parents to introduce you to like in the movies. It bothers him a bit, since a part of him did want those cheesy moments where you introduce your significant other to your parents, who swoon over your partner and express how much they support and love the relationship.
But he didn’t have that. It was pretty hard to think about, so he tried to concern himself with more bright topics, like his grandmother, Evelyn.
Evelyn already accepted you with open arms since you came to the valley, and that didn’t change when Alex introduced you as his significant other.
She was even more delighted that you and Alex were together. You were so sweet, and you would be such a delightful addition to the family.
Alex was a bit disappointed that George is a bit more pessimistic and bitter, so he wasn’t necessarily welcoming, but Alex knew he should have expected that since his grandpa was a grump.
He was still grateful for them, don’t get me wrong. Even if George is grumpy, you were still welcomed into the family by Evelyn. She constantly made you feel like you did belong there, and made you both aware that she supported and love your relationship.
“Oh… You are such a sweetheart… I know that if you had the chance to meet Clara, she would adore you so much.”
Evelyn saying that to you made Alex choke up. He did end up crying with you in private, but not because Evelyn hurt his feelings, of course not. Just the thought of Clara meeting you was so emotional to think about.
… However… Alex always had the fear his past would come back to haunt him. He always feared his dad may try to interfere with his life at some point. He knew his dad had no idea where he could be if he did try to find him, but the fear was always there.
He confessed this to you in private, and you were quick to be by his side, promising him that his dad would never find him, and if he tried, you would be by his side. The idea of you doing something like that for him made his love for you grow even more so.
“… I love you. I really appreciate you always being here for me like this.”

I watched and ranked every Tom Cruise movie so you don’t have to
Simple premise: 45 movies. One actor. Ranked from worst to best, on a sliding scale of -2 to 6 (scoring will make sense as you read).
Technical score is judged on how well the plot is constructed and how well the characters grow and serve their role in the narrative throughout the movie, as well as how well the narrative is written. Enjoyment score is judged on how much I liked the movie: no stars = didn’t like, 1 star = like, 2 star = really like. Bonus star is awarded at my discretion, for reasons such as costuming, soundtrack, particularly stand out acting, etc. Sexism modifier is a negative if women are treated badly, but can add an extra point if the movie gives women their rights. Overall score at the end determines where they sit in the rankings of this post, with movies having the same score in the order I liked them most.
Tumblr media
Vanilla Sky (2001) – David Aames (Starring)
One sentence summary: A man’s reality begins to warp and he is forced to question what is real, and what isn’t.
Technical: -
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥💥
Review: This is a bad movie. Weird acting throughout. Nonsensical plot. Terrible treatment of the women. Definitely the worst movie Tom Cruise has starred in!
_
Tumblr media
Tropic Thunder (2008) – Les Grossman (Supporting)
One sentence summary: Five actors who are filming a war movie are dropped into a real war zone completely unaware, and must use their wits to escape back to their movie set.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥
Review: LOTS of choices made in this movie! Very few of them good! Why was RDJ in blackface? Was I supposed to find this entertaining? Was any of this necessary? Doubtful. Jack Black and Jay Baruchel had great comedic presences, and honestly the acting and casting was spot on for what the movie wanted, which is why I gave it one technical star.
_
Tumblr media
Endless Love (1981) – Billy (Cameo)
One sentence summary: A teenage romance goes wrong when a boyfriend burns down his girlfriend’s house in an attempt to win the approval of her parents.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥
Review: They made movies differently in the 80s, I think. The plot is insane, the main characters unrelatable – or maybe I’m just too long out of high school. In any case, this was Tom Cruise’s debut film, and he did it in booty shorts while advising his friend to pretend to set his girlfriend’s house on fire, leading to him actually setting his girlfriend’s house on fire, and it was the best part of this movie. What a way to start a career.

Tumblr media
The Mummy (2017) – Sgt. Nick Morton (Starring)
One sentence summary: After disrupting a tomb, Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) must defeat The Mummy.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥
Review: Yeah… there’s a reason this movie is a meme. Cruise’s acting feels weak, the plot is verging on nonsensical, and the special effects made me laugh. A rare miss in Cruise’s later years of acting!
_
Tumblr media
Mission: Impossible 2 (2002) – Ethan Hunt (Starring)
One sentence summary: Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) must stop a plague by teaming up with a thief who knows the man who intends to kick off the disaster.
Technical: -
Enjoyment: -
Movie: ⭐
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥
Review: One star is discretionarily awarded because it’s set in Sydney and I recognise a lot of the locations they filmed in. Though I have no clue how Luther was getting internet connection on a sheep farm out somewhere in western NSW. Did they have satellite internet in 2002?
_
Tumblr media
Eyes Wide Shut (1999) – Dr. William Harford (Starring)
One sentence summary: After his wife confesses to fantasising about cheating on him, Dr William Harford (Tom Cruise) toys with the idea of actually cheating on her, and has an insane night out in the process.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: 💥
Review: Well SOMETHING happened in this movie. Hot tip, do not go into this one blind on Saturday movie night with your family in attendance. I think, personally, that Dr Hartford could have just sat down with his wife and asked her if she wanted to get into roleplay instead of doing all that. Also, did we really need to see Nicole Kidman pissing? I just really think that wasn’t necessary.
_
Tumblr media
Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) – Himself as Austin Powers (Cameo)
One sentence summary: Austin Powers must stop Dr. Evil from world domination by travelling back in time to 1975.
Technical: -
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: 💥
Review: This is some blend of satire and crack, and I’m not really enjoying the flavour. Tom Cruise’s cameo is pretty funny, though.
_
Tumblr media
War of the Worlds (2005) – Ray Ferrier (Starring)
One sentence summary: When aliens land and start destroying Earth, Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) must do all he can to keep his family alive.
Technical: -
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: 💥
Review: Well… this exists, I guess. Some of these old sci fi novels should not be made into movies. They were not meant for the big screen. Not even Tom Cruise can save this one.
_
Tumblr media
All the Right Moves (1983) – Stefen Djordjevic (Starring)
One sentence summary: After a disagreement with a teacher, Stefen (Tom Cruise) thinks that he might never get to college and never leave his hometown.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: 💥
Review: This sure exists. Very unmemorable, even while I was watching it. Generic in music, plot, character, and romance. Anticlimactic ending too!
_
Tumblr media
The Color of Money (1986) – Vincent Lauria (Starring)
One sentence summary: Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise) tries to make money by playing pool, but is too good at it for the betting scheme his mentor attempts to set up in order to get rich.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: 💥
Review: I will admit I found this movie fairly uninteresting, though I enjoyed Tom Cruise’s wild haircut. Nothing but respect for Vincent’s “Vince” shirt, however.
_
Tumblr media
Days of Thunder (1990) – Cole Trickle (Starring)
One sentence summary: A street racer is pulled onto the Nascar track, where his attitude gets him into trouble with his team, other drivers, and the woman he’s interested in.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: ⭐
Review: Two sexism bangs for Nicole Kidman’s ‘romance’ scenes (girl why did you come back to do more movies with this man). The car racing is pretty cool though. I am partial to a good car race, I must admit.
_
Tumblr media
Interview with the Vampire (1994) – Lestat de Lioncourt (Supporting)
One sentence summary: A vampire sits down with a reporter to tell the story of his life: one that starts with how he was turned into the vampire, and continues to the present day.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐
Review: Lots of stuff going on in this movie. However, mostly I agree with the well known review that spawned a thousand memes: “Not gay enough.”
_
Tumblr media
The Outsiders (1983) – Steve Randle  (Supporting)
One sentence summary: Two friends are caught up in the complicated politics between the “Socs” and “greasers” gangs; when one friend accidentally kills a rival, they go on the run from the police before returning home to face court, their family, and the opposing gang.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐
Review: Patrick Swayze is kinda carrying this movie honestly. Though Tom Cruise’s denim on denim, wild accent, cake-stuffed-in-face beat ‘em up sure is a performance too. You can tell this is an old movie by how affectionate the boys were allowed to be with each other. Absolutely none of that around nowadays.
_
Tumblr media
Mission: Impossible (1996) – Ethan Hunt (Starring)
One sentence summary: When his team of Impossible Mission Force agents are killed, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) must track down the person responsible.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: ⭐
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: ⭐
Review: While there are many (many, many, many) liberties taken with reality in order for this movie to be made, it is iconic for a reason. That being said, the wild subplot of Ethan’s tutor trying to set Ethan up with his wife sure was something! Bonus points for starting such an iconic franchise and, of course, the spy movie scene of dropping from the ceiling and barely not hitting the floor.
_
Tumblr media
Magnolia (1999) – Frank T.J. Mackey (Supporting)
One sentence summary: I don’t know how to summarise this movie. Taking suggestions from the audience.
Technical: ⭐⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: -
Sexism: 💥💥
Overall: ⭐
Review: I don’t know how to review this movie. Was NOT expecting the frogs, that came out of left field to be sure. I think Kubrick’s vision passed me over. Anyway, two sexism bangs for having Tom Cruise invent the incel motivational speaker 😭
_
Tumblr media
Born on the Fourth of July (1989) – Ron Kovic (Starring)
One sentence summary: Ron Kovic (Tom Cruise) signs up to the Army, fights in the war, and deals with the repercussions when he comes home.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: ⭐
Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: This movie suffers from the same problem that all movies which are ‘true stories’ have, which is that life rarely neatly fits into a narrative structure, but it manages fairly well anyway. Bonus points given for the BTS trivia that apparently Cruise asked to be injected with some drug that would temporarily paralyse him so he could experience what it was like to improve his acting??? Cruise’s insurance company wisely refused to let him do this.
_
Tumblr media
Minority Report (2002) – John Anderton (Starring)
One sentence summary: In a future where murderers are arrested before they commit their crime, Chief John Anderton (Tom Cruise) is predicted to kill a man he’s never met – and must escape his own police force in order to prove his innocence.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: ⭐
Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: I had to watch this about 10 times in high school so I was hesitant to come back to it now, but it’s an okay watch when I’m not discussing its contribution to dystopian literature.
_
Tumblr media
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) – Ethan Hunt (Starring)
One sentence summary: On the hunt for the two parts of a key which will allow him to control a new AI threat, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) must sacrifice in order to save the world.
Technical: -
Enjoyment: ⭐
Bonus: -
Sexism: ⭐
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: Media very rarely gets plots around AI right, and this one unfortunately misses the mark. It asks no new or interesting questions about how AI is being used or will be used in our modern world, and seems to take a detour from previous Mission Impossible films in terms of tone and consistency of plot. However, Haley Atwell slaps absolute ass, and there are genuinely funny and enjoyable scenes scattered at random throughout the movie, so it definitely could be worse.
_
Tumblr media
Legend (1985) – Jack (Starring)
One sentence summary: After a princess plunges her kingdom into endless winter, she must reverse the curse to save the land.
Technical: ⭐
Enjoyment: -
Bonus: -
Sexism: ⭐
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: A win for diversity! The princess almost ends the world, and also is allowed to save it! Special effects were pretty decent for the mid-80s, even if the plot was a bit basic. Seeing Tom Cruise go all Tarzan and also have a sword was very good, however.
_
Tumblr media
Oblivion (2013) – Jack Harper (Starring)
One sentence summary: Jack Harper’s (Tom Cruise) mission in life is to protect the last of humanity – or so he thinks.
Technical: ⭐

Review: A movie that’s “based on a true story” and which does it right. The informational sections were balanced neatly with the character development and exploration of what this amount of money might do to a family.

Review: Extra points for the killer soundtrack. Otherwise, this movie is fairly unmemorable. Tom Cruise’s hairstyle sure was a choice though!

Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: It’s hard to have sexism in a movie where there are literally no women, so this one is getting a default 💥. Other than the fact that women don’t exist, this was a pretty good movie, with the extra star granted for the depth of character portrayed, Tom Cruise’s buzzcut, and the acting of all the younger kids on set.

Sexism: 💥
Overall: ⭐⭐
Review: I really liked how this movie showed that despite how money-hungry Charlie Babbitt originally appears, he goes through an entire journey where he realises how important family is – no matter what form that takes. To see a main male character reflect and regret on his poor relationship with his father and also express the ups and downs of other emotions throughout this movie is refreshing, and Tom Cruise does an excellent job at portraying the journey taken. While it’s obvious he prefers action movies, I actually think Cruise’s true strength is in the dramas he does.

Top Gun (1986) – Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Starring)

Review: Wow. There’s a LOT going on here. It’s impossible to discuss Top Gun without mentioning the blistering sexism that pervades this movie, but since it’s about the Navy in the 80s, no one should be surprised it’s there. However, it also manages to be one of the gayest movies of the decade. Contains multitudes! Bonus points for Val Kilmer’s amazing performance and the insane homoerotic tension that is as inextricable from this movie as the sexism is.

Review: This soundtrack slaps, it’s a cute romcom, and there are cool bartending tricks scattered throughout. It also deals with some more serious topics, but these add to the depth of character and the main relationship to bring extra flavour to the movie.

Review: The second half of the movie is far better than the first, with a spiralling series of events that had me laughing at every new development. Tom Cruise playing the straight laced kid was a genius decision, and I can see why he repeated this type of role a few times in future movies.

Review: Very much the best of the movies that Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise collaborated on, I did enjoy this one from start to finish. The costumes are great, but the bonus points go to how bloody and beat up Tom Cruise consistently is in this movie. Yes, go and get back into that fighting ring again. It’s good for my health.

Ohhhh if you’re taking writing prompts how about enemy chefs to lovers Polin?
Before I get into this, let me clarify that I am of the belief that if they don't try to kill each other at least once, then it's not enemies to lovers. Now that that's out of the way, this gives me an idea. Also partly inspired by @thekatebridgerton post of the siblings being embodiments of the 7 (8) deadly sins.
Penelope grew up in a family where every generation, one child would be born to be eaten by the gluttonoust demon whose domain bordered her family's ancestral lands. Well technically they were raised to be the one who cooks for the demon but when it always ends with them being devoured instead it doesn't really matter does it?
Typically, this role should have been taken on by the second born, Penelope's older sister Philippa, but instead, Penelope's mother had convinced her father to make Penelope the sacrifice instead.
"You're smarter than your sisters," Portia had told her the night it was announced. "Clever. If any of you have a chance of killing the demon it is you Penelope."
From that point on, Penelope learned how to make different dishes from things like mince pies, biscuits, and her personal favorite eclairs. She knows how to prep all different kinds of meat from farm raised animals to game to fish. She knows which fruits are ripe and which still need time. Portia made sure Penelope knew how to use a knife and which plants mixed well for flavor and which would end a life if mixed together.
"Remember, Gluttony will always want to consume more," Portia would remind her daughter. "There is no such thing as never enough."
Finally, on the day of her 18th birthday, the day came where Penelope would present her first meal to the demon. She decided to go with a fish covered in a basil and lemon cream sauce. Some roasted potatoes and vegetables. A loaf of dark bread, wine, and mixed berry eclairs for dessert.
All that was left was to bring it to the forest and pray he eats it instead of her. Carefully, she packed everything into a basket. She had to be at there by sunrise after all.
"Pen wait!" Penelope's youngest sister, Felicity, called out. The eleven year old ran down the stairs with a package in her arms.
"Litty!" Penelope exclaimed. "What are you doing awake? The sun has yet to rise."
"I wanted to give you your birthday present," Felicity said, holding up the package.
Penelope set her stuff down and carefully opened the gift. Inside was a beautiful set of kitchen knives. Every single one sharp and ready for use. "Oh Litty."
Felicity hugged her sister. "The blacksmith promised me they are extra sharp. So maybe, maybe you can come home soon."
Penelope hugged her sister tighter. Even if she could get rid of the demon it wasn't guaranteed she live too.
"I'll try," Penelope promised.
That seemed to be good enough for the eleven year old as she gave Penelope one last hug before waving her off.
In the forest, where Penelope was to meet her new master sat a table directly over the border between her family's lands and the demons. It is where her relatives in the past have presented their first and often times last meal to the demon of Gluttony.
It is where Penelope sets up the meal as the first rays of light spill across the land behind her. It is also where Penelope sees her new master for the first time.
Gluttony honestly looks like any other man Penelope has seen, a rather handsome one, but still a man. Penelope would put him at around 6 feet with dark chestnut hair and green eyes. His beauty, though, screamed dangerous to Penelope. Like a poisonous snake whose pretty colors serve as a warning to the venom they carry.
Now that snake sat across from Penelope at the table.
"Ah are you my new mortal?" Gluttony asked.
Penelope bowed her head. "Penelope Featherington, my lord."
The demon picked up the fork Penelope placed and dug in. He let out a moan tasting the food. "Delicious, and thank you for not poisoning it like some of your other relatives."
Well that's one plan Penelope shouldn't rely on.
Gluttony bit into the eclair. "Are you not eating?"
Penelope shook her head. This had to be some sort of test, right? Gluttony doesn't share. "No, my lord, I know sharing food isn't something you do."
Gluttony's eyes lit up. "I don't share huh?"
Penelope found herself on her back, staring up into green eyes. A piece of the eclair was being pressed into her lips. The same piece that Gluttony held in his own lips.
What is he doing? Gluttony always wants more so what is he getting more of out of this?!
Penelope found herself frozen on the grass. She tries to command her hand to reach for anything that can help her. She can't breathe. She opens her mouth to take a deep breath, but that only entices Gluttony to push the eclair further in.
Penelope felt her hand brush against her basket. Somehow, she reaches inside and grabs the handle of one of Felicity's gifts. Her grip firmly secured Penelope plunges the knife into the demon's side.
Gluttony, still on top of Penelope looks down at his side.
Oh shit. Well, she's definitely getting eaten.
"Lord Gluttony I-"
Penelope is cut off by the demon's chuckle.
"Gluttony is my sister," the demon said, looking back down at Penelope. Without even flinching he pulled out the knife. "I'm Wrath."
Penelope's eyes widen. "But the food-"
The demon Wrath only smirked. "I'm a growing boy, and you mortals have such delicious food."
Colin grinned down at the little mortal underneath him. Oh, she had no idea of the courting ritual she just initiated by stabbing him. He's going to have fun playing with her.

Chapter Twenty Seven - Imported Cigars
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Masterlist
“I have to say,” you start, eyes reading over the papers in your hands. “I do not really know what I should be looking for.”
Various letters stare back at you, each of them containing different combinations of the words: request, land, esteemed, and council.
Seungmin hums in acknowledgement from across the desk. His tie is loose around his neck, vest askew and hair mussed up.
His jacket now wrapped around your naked, recently bruised , shoulders.
You had pulled your dress up around your chest as much as you could, but without the strings of the corset, it continuously fell down.
You wrapped the sleeves in a knot around your chest to keep it up and then Seungmin draped his jacket around you with a cocky smile.
When you had opened your mouth to make a snide comment, he silenced you with a long peck.
Since then, the two of you have been reading through any papers you can get your hands on within the office.
“Anything that would point to an alliance between Inuin and Erbus.” He flips to another paper on the desk. “Or really, just anything about the war. Any information is valuable information.”
The page in your hand was about a local farm, so you flip to another one.
“Do ambassadors really have that much say with war plans?”
“Nay, not typically, but Inuin’s government is a bit different than Miroh’s or Erbus’.” He flips to another page. “Tybesin’s role is for Inuin is similar to Jisung’s.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you look up at Seungmin. “Does Jisung know about war plans?”
Seungmin chuckles and looks up with a smirk. “Jisung knows everything at all times. He has eyes and ears everywhere.”
“Huh…” you trail off with a surprised expression, looking down at the stack of papers once more.
Jisung was always getting letters— that you knew. But you assumed his role as diplomat was to just handle minor issues to leave the larger ones for Chan to deal with.
Really, you’ve never asked him questions about what he does.
You’ll never forget the way Jisung eyes you up the first time you met. When Guatier called you a fool and immediately, Jisung’s eyes met yours. He knew then you were no fool, he read you like a book.
His ability to analyze people is something that scholars should study.
A new letter opens in your hands.
‘ ... cease all trade between our hold and Inuin.’
The page in your hand is about a trade between Upera and Inuin, nothing pertaining to the war, but still interesting nonetheless.
“Upera is stopping all trade with Inuin,” you murmur.
Seungmin pauses and looks up at you. “Interesting,” he trails off, thinking. “All trade?”
You nod and hand him the letter.
He grabs it eagerly, eyes flitting all over the page. “It is straightforward.” Seungmin shifts from foot to foot.
“Did they give a reason?”
“Nay,” he continues to read. “But this… this is a great sign. Holds only cease trade when there are disagreements and opposing views.”
“Does this mean that Upera is considering an alliance with Miroh?”
Seungmin shakes his head. “It could be, it could not be; but this is strange.”
He flips the page over to check the back and then places it down on the desk.
“Good find, keep looking.”
You nod and look back down at the desk, hugging his jacket closer to you to ward off the chill.
Nothing sticks out to you, it’s endless correspondence with other high members of society, letters from local shops and markets requesting financial aid, everything you hope to never have to deal with yourself.
But nothing from Erbus.
Which is strange since there are letters from every Hold on top, including Miroh.
You walk away from the desk towards the small sitting area off to the side. Two armchairs face one another with a side table in between them.
One of the seats looks more well loved than the other.
There’s an empty teacup on the table. The saucer still has crumbs on it from a previous pastry.
So, Tybesin must sit here to read his letters instead of his desk.
Pursing your lips, you sit down on the chair, tucking your skirts underneath you.
Seungmin pays you no mind and continues to comb through all the papers.
Your arms cross over your chest and you glance around the office. It’s a nice size, maybe the same size as your bedroom back in Miroh.
The walls on either side of the room are floor to ceiling bookshelves. Books aren’t the only things on the shelves, there’s various trinkets and tchotchkes. One shelf has a globe whereas another has a glass case with different old ornaments displayed inside.
You look around the room carefully.
At about eye level on the other side of the room there’s a line of old dusty books, they look like they were placed there years ago and never touched again.
Except one.
In the middle of all of them there is one book that has no dust on it whatsoever.
Humming in thought, you stand up from the chair and cross the room. Your heels click along the floor.
Seungmin turns around to watch you with piqued interest.
Reaching down, you pluck the book off the shelf.
When you flip it around in your hands, you hear shuffling inside.
“What do we have here?”
Seungmin walks up behind you and peers over your shoulder.
“I should take you with me more often,” he whispers, the heat from his breath runs down your neck and you shiver.
You roll your eyes and look at the side of the ‘book’ where there should be pages. A keyhole stares back at you.
Seungmin hums and reaches down, his hand slides over your hip and finds the slit in your skirt once more.
He bunches up the fabric, making sure to run his warm fingertips over any inch of skin he can reach.
The rogue grabs his dagger from its sheath once more.
Reaching around your body, he cages you against him while he brings the dagger up to the lockbox.
Within seconds of fiddling with it, the box snaps open with a quiet click .
“Neat trick,” you say in a hushed tone.
“Not nearly my most impressive maneuver.”
“Have you not flirted with me enough tonight?”
“Is that what you call what we did? Flirting? Oh my dear, I would love to see what you consider fucki—“
Your elbow jolts back and hits Seungmin right in the ribs. A sharp exhale is punched from him at the same time as he laughs.
He continues to chuckle as you open up the box. Seungmin returns the dagger to its sheath, but not after squeezing your thigh a few times.
The first thing you see inside is the official seal of Erbus.
There’s about five or six different letters inside the box, each of them stamped with the same coat of arms.
You grab the first one off the top, opening the letter and reading it carefully. It seems to be the latest letter, dated only a few days ago.
Lord Tybesin—
Please be advised of the following events that are to occur in the next few weeks. We believe that we have waited and baited enough Miron soldiers into our lands to finally cut the head off the hydras all at once.
To answer your question simply: yes, we will be needing aid from Inuin, we thank you greatly for your outward show of support. Jarl Killoran, as well as Erbus as a whole, also considers Inuin to be a close friend and ally. Erbus will not forget this kindness when our land expands eastward.
We also thank you for allowing our soldiers to set up camp on your border with Miroh.
On the 12th of December we plan to launch several legions of our Mercy Division to take care of the strongholds they have stationed in our lands. After those attacks, we plan on invading into Miroh through their northern border.
In my opinion, we have waited too long to launch this attack. Erbus has lost a great many able fighters, but I have complete confidence in our Mercy Division.
Burn this letter after you have read it. I share these plans and opinions with you in great confidence.
— A
Your hands shake as you hold the letter in your hands.
The Mercy Division.
You knew it. You knew it.
Your mouth goes dry, your brain goes fuzzy and the world tilts underneath you.
What’s today’s date? It’s not December yet, right? Or is it? You can’t keep track anymore, the days seem to blend together.
Seungmin is still behind you. The only sign of his presence is the constant shallow exhales against the nape of your neck.
You need to get back to the front lines.
“What is today’s date?” Your voice comes out hoarse.
“December the sixth.” His tone is just as morose as yours.
Your heart drops through the floor. The blood in your veins turns into ice water.
Quickly, you turn around and look up at Seungmin. “We need to leave. Now. We need to get back to Miroh. Word needs to be sent to the front lines, I need to get back to the front lines. The Jarl needs to station soldiers along the northern border–”
He watches you closely, his eyes narrow. “You are still healing. You cannot possibly be considering returning.”
Your shoulders square off and your back straightens. “I will be returning to battle with or without your approval. I am fighting in this war. The Mercy Division is cruel and unforgiving and–”
“ And the reason you cannot return in this state!”
“You cannot stop me from returning to the front lines.”
“Maybe I cannot, but you follow the orders of the Jarl, and you know for damn sure that he will not let you leave that Keep.”
“No one will be stopping me, Kim Seungmin. I fight for my people.”
He grits his teeth, neither of you will back down. You’re standing nose to nose, chest to chest.
“What good will you be on the battlefield while injured?”
“I can fight.”
“You can barely walk a mile without limping.”
Your eyebrow twitches. “Then I will be a distraction.”
Seungmin’s face twists in anger, his fists clench at his side. “Do not martyr yourself, mercenary. Do not be a hero.”
“I will fight and you will do nothing to stop me.”
Seungmin’s mouth opens to say more, but he’s quickly cut off by a voice outside the office door.
“— bly put the key, I always have it in my pocket.”
Oh, shit.
Both of you stare at each other with wide eyes. Your anger melts into anxiety.
Seungmin pulls away and looks all around the room. At the same time, you snap the lockbox closed and shove it back into the bookcase where it came from.
You keep the letter held tightly in your hand.
He grabs your wrist and yanks you towards the wardrobe that sits in the corner of the room near the armchairs.
Wait, wait, wait!
You grab at him by the back of the shirt. Seungmin whirls around to stare at you incredulously.
There’s no time for an explanation. You pat down all of his pockets quickly.
He reaches for your hands several times to stop you and drag you towards the wardrobe again.
Truly, if it weren’t for the circumstances, the scene would’ve been hilarious.
But, you have a specific reason in mind. Your patience running thin, you reach out and violently grab his tie, yanking him towards you.
The door handle jiggles.
Seungmin grunts and loses his balance at your pull.
You grab his one pants pocket and feel the key inside it. Shoving your hand into his pocket, you grab the key and toss it onto the desk.
Then, you make your way to the wardrobe.
Seungmin’s brain reboots and he opens the doors as quietly and as quickly as possible, pushing you inside first.
Various coats cramp the space, your body barely fits. How is Seungmin going to get in here?
You peek over his shoulder.
“Masks!” You hiss.
His head whips around and he sees the two masks sitting on the armchair.
With those impossibly long arms, he snatches them up and climbs inside the wardrobe, shutting the door after him.
The door to the office opens at the same moment.
Seungmin’s entire body crowds around yours, both of you pant deeply, trying to keep the volume down.
Two sets of shoes make their way into the room. One of them has to be Tysebin, but who is the other?
“Here we are,” Lord Tybesin’s muffled voice still makes its way through the wood wardrobe. “I have those cigars I was telling you about in my desk– imported from a northern island off the coast of Daefall.”
Seungmin looks down at your face, your jaw is tense and clenched tightly with anxiety.
What are the odds that he’s going to open the wardrobe? Slim, right?
“I must say, Lord Tybesin, you throw a magnificent ball.”
Tybesin chuckles. “Why thank you Lord Thromm, I am quite happy you were able to make an appearance. Ah, there is the key, I must have tossed it on my desk earlier without thinking.”
Looking up at Seungmin, you watch his face turn into one of acknowledgement for your quick thinking. He nods and shrugs.
His anger and annoyance from a few moments ago still seems to be burning off.
Whoever Lord Thromm is sounds quite young.
A drawer rolls open and there’s shuffling. “Here we are.” Tybesin says.
More shuffling goes on outside the wardrobe. Your heart is in your throat. How long do they plan on being in the office? Surely, they’ll need to return to the party soon.
Seungmin subtly tries to shift around to get more comfortable. Both of his hands rest on the wall of the wardrobe above your shoulders, his face so close to yours that your breathing mixes together.
You swallow. It’s so quiet within the space you wonder if the rogue can hear your heartbeat. You quietly put the letter from Erbus in the jacket pocket.
“Things are well with the Lady Dina?” Thromm asks.
Tybesin scoffs. “I grow bored with her.” He hums and takes a puff of his cigar before continuing. “Did you happen to lay an eye on the Lady Sigyn tonight?”
“Lord Skye’s betrothed? I did, quite the looker, she is. Lord Skye is a lucky, lucky man.”
Your cheeks heat up and your gaze stays glued to Seungmin’s tie. The thread count is suddenly much more interesting than any conversation happening in the office.
“Yes, yes, but I feel bad for the poor man.”
“Why is that?”
“I have a private meeting with the Lady in the wee hours of the morning.”
“Oh, you dog.”
Disgusting. They are disgusting.
Seungmin snorts quietly, he tries to keep his laughter down. If only the Lord knew what had happened on his desk only a few minutes ago.
One of the rogue’s hands slides off the wardrobe wall to the side of your neck, where he pushes the fabric of his jacket to the side, revealing the plethora of hickies and bite marks littering your neck.
He looks at them fondly, a proud glint in his eye. His bottom lip catches between his teeth as he takes in his work like a piece of art.
Gently, his hand grabs your throat, his thumb rubbing up and down the marked up skin. It’s not a rough or demeaning grab– it’s more possessive and absentminded.
“You know, I was sure I had seen Lord Skye before tonight,” Lord Thromm says suddenly. Your eyebrows narrow.
Seungmin’s fingers pause.
“Perhaps you had met him at a previous event?” Tybesin suggests.
“His face is so familiar, but not that name. I feel as though I had met him in Miroh, actually.”
“Miroh?”
“Aye, he reminds me of one of Jarl Bang’s court members.”
There’s a stiff pause. You look up at Seungmin, alarmed. His wide eyes are zoned out, his entire focus is on the conversation occurring outside the wardrobe.
“Interesting…”
“It… It is quite uncanny how similar he is, actually. I had only met the other man a few months back at Miroh’s Harvest Festival, he introduced himself as a diplomat but I did not believe it even for a moment.”
No movement, just another stiff pause in the conversation.
“His name slips my mind… Seung… Seungmin? Something along those lines.”
You can practically hear the cogs turning in Tybesin’s brain. “And the Lady Sigyn?”
“I cannot say for certain, really, but there was a new member of his court that was strikingly similar– a mercenary. Granted, I did not get a great look at Lady Sigyn tonight with her mask on.”
Tybesin is quiet. Every second feels like an eternity.
“My Lord?” Thromm asks after a minute of uneasy silence.
“I believe I need to look into this.”
Thromm hums in agreement. “Should we return downstairs then?”
“Aye, I just need to grab my other jacket from the wardrobe, Lady Dina does not care for the smell of cigars.”
Your heart drops once more.
Seungmin jolts in place, he looks into your eyes.
A silent conversation passes between the two of you.
You both were about to be caught trespassing and snooping. In the ambassador’s house. In his private office.
There was only one option and one option alone.
Carefully, yet quickly, you reach down and take a hold of the dagger strapped against your leg. Seungmin reaches forward and into the jacket pocket around your body. He pulls another dagger out of the breast pocket.
He maintains eye contact with you the entire time.
You cock an eyebrow, he nods. You tilt your head to where Thromm’s voice came from, he nods again.
Good, you were on the same page then.
‘I’ll take care of Tybesin, you handle Thromm.’
Two sides of the same coin, indeed.
The world seems to take a deep breath in the second before the wardrobe doors open. You clutch the dagger closer to your chest, Seungmin leans away from your body to make room for what you’re about to do.
Footsteps come closer and closer to the wardrobe, you swallow your anxiety, eyes shifting to the door.
The footsteps stop right outside the door.
It opens at the same time you dive forward, your dagger coming out to slice right at Tybesin’s throat.
Seungmin is a blur of purple as he shoots out of the wardrobe, with a flick of his wrist, he launches his weapon across the room and it embeds right into Thromm’s chest.
With a pitiful gasp, he reaches up and grabs at the weapon. His mouth opens and closes a few times like a fish gaping for water. Thromm’s knees buckle and he falls to the floor, crumpling into a ball.
Tybesin’s alarmed expression is the only thing you see as your dagger cuts across his skin. He doesn’t even have enough time to scream.
Your other hand grabs his slit throat right after you cut it to control the splatter. It only words a little, a small splash sprays across your body in a sharp line. The rest of the blood leaks out in between your fingers and drips down the front of his expensive suit.
Chokes and spurts tumble from Tybesin lips before life finally leaves his eyes.
You release his throat and let him drop to the ground.
Seungmin acts quickly, and with how quickly he knows what to do, you can deduce that this is not the first time he’s been in a situation like this one.
He marches over to Thromm and yanks the dagger from his chest, the corpse doesn’t even twitch. Seungmin wipes the dagger off on Thromm’s jacket and puts the hilt between his teeth to hold it. He puts both hands under Thromm’s and lifts him off the ground, dragging the stocky corpse over to the open wardrobe.
He stuffs Thromm in first, making sure he won’t fall forward, and then goes to Tysebin.
But not before taking a quick stop at you, opening his jacket and putting the dagger back in its place. A quick peck to your forehead and then he’s hoisting Tybesin’s body off the ground.
“Nothing new for you?” you tease.
Seungmin chuckles. “Nay, just a normal mission for Kim Seungmin, official court Rogue of Miroh.”
He stuffs Tybesin’s body into the wardrobe and shuts the doors quickly. Seungmin turns around to look at you.
“We need to leave.”
---------------------------------------
The two of you made it to your room, changed into traveling clothes, and out to your carriage in record time.
The carriage driver seemed completely unfazed by your urgency, he just nodded and helped load your things into the luggage space with great haste.
You were on the road and heading back towards Miroh before you could even think twice about everything.
The carriage jostles around, creating that same familiar space as yesterday. You wistfully look out the window at the trees that pass by.
It’s cloudy, none of the stars are able to poke through the thick shroud they create.
Your chin rests on your hand, your elbow on the ledge.
Seungmin’s shoe nudges at your shin. “What is on your mind, mercenary?”
You smile sadly, keeping your eyes out the window. “I was so excited for the ball, and now it is over just as quickly as it started.” You hum. “Also, I cannot help but to think about Lady Dina, she is the only one I feel sad for with the events of tonight.”
Seungmin sucks his teeth and shifts on his chair. “She will move on and find someone better. It cannot be too hard to get someone better than Tybesin. Plus, think of all the money she is about to get.”
The thought made you giggle.
“Additionally, I am sure if you even mention how much you enjoyed this ball, Chan will begin planning one for Miroh.”
You try not to let your excitement show, but when you look over at Seungmin’s amused expression, you’re sure you didn’t do a great job of that.
“You think so?” your voice is a bit small.
He nods with a grin on his face. “Aye, I am quite certain about that.”
The cart jostles with a bump in the road.
Seungmin crosses his arms and looks out the window. “Plus, I am sure that he is already looking to craft some excuse to see you in a ballgown like you wore tonight with his own eyes.”
Squirming around, you try not to let the flush on your face grow too bright. “Do not say such things.” With pursed lips, you look down at the ground. “Anyway, no one will see me in that dress ever again since it is ruined .”
“How did that happen?” His response is quite amused.
You tongue your cheek and stare at him with a deadpan expression.
“I only cut the corset strings, I had no part of it soaking in blood.”
“The wardrobe was your idea.”
“Did you have a better one?”
A pause. “No.”
Content with your answer, Seungmin grins, but the expression soon shifts into a more somber look. He won’t look at you.
He sounds weak when he finally speaks up again, all cockiness gone from his tone. It’s unusual for him.
“You truly plan on returning to the front lines?”
“Aye.” You answer so fast it nearly throws him off guard. Instead, he nods, his jaw clenches. Seungmin’s shoulders slump forward a bit, his arms fold over his chest a bit tighter.
“I see,” he whispers.
Seungmin says nothing else to you on the matter.
Your mind was made up and there was no changing it. You would be returning to the front lines as soon as you got back to Miroh and gathered your gear.
The idea of Changbin, Hyunjin, and Jeongin facing the Mercy Division without you there sends a chill straight up your spine.
Dread settles into your heart.
They don’t even know what’s coming.

Mk Oneshots: Raiden x waitress Fem. reader
Tumblr media
Note: I am SO sorry for this image
You had been working at the tea house for a few months now, after your father insisted you find new work outside of the family business. You honestly should have seen it coming. It was well known in the village of Fenjian that you were the unluckiest person to walk the face of the earth.
You had nearly driven your family’s rice farm into bankruptcy after accidentally tipping off a cart down a hill that crashed into your season's silo and allowed the entire harvest to be eaten by mold. To make things worse it was anything but your first offense. You had worn a new scarf your mother had made for the new year. Unfortunately, this scarf was very long, and very flammable. The fire nearly destroyed three people’s houses that year. The final straw for your father had been when you had gone into town with your sister to chaperone her and her betrothed. Well… previously betrothed.
The two had insisted on walking one of Fengjian's few gardens privately without you present for a few minutes. You had insisted that your father would not want the two to be together unsupervised but promised to give them some time alone and watch them from afar. However, upon entering the garden and leaving to watch them from atop a hill. You attempted to pick a plum from one of the trees. This backfired when the tree turned out to be half rotted, and upon jumping and pulling. The tree knocked down and rolled down the hill, hitting your sisters engaged. His family was outraged, he was hospitalized for months, and they called off the engagement.
This string of bad luck has earned you a less than favorable reputation in Fengjian. Madam Bo had been the only one in the village who was willing to take you in. Claiming that, “wild women are often too much for small minded people”. While you don’t think she would lie, you don’t doubt that the fact she could have you work without pay played a role. Though she likely regretted her decision when she had to pay for all the plates you broke.
Kung Lao sighed at his friend, this had been the fourth night in a row they had gone to Madam Bo’s for dinner. Usually, they preferred to go once a month, due to her high prices. But lately Raiden had been dragging him out. On one hand, he shouldn’t be so upset about it, after all, Raiden was the one paying. But on the other hand, it was painful to watch his friend swoon at one of the waitresses, never actually doing anything to woo her.
“Again? Is your wallet ok?” Raiden only smiled as they entered the tea house, “If my wallet is feeling any discomfort, it’s only because you insist on eating the entire menu every time we come”. “Ah, Raiden, Kung Lao, welcome back” you said, almost stumbling over, hair a mess and visibly ruffled.
Kung Lao groaned at the sickening sweetness of Raiden, “Thank you, we are gratuitous for your hospitality”. Sitting in their usual spots, it was obvious Raiden was distracted. “I’ll make you some tea," Raiden watched as you walked away, never once looking away, until Kung Lao caught his attention “Well, that was embarrassing”.
“What?” Raiden asked obliviously. “This” he gestured to him, “You. For the last four nights we’ve been coming here. And for the last four nights, you’ve done nothing”. “I hardly consider–” a loud crash sounded as the teahouse’s attention was drawn to you on the ground clutching your hand. Raiden was quick to run over, “Are you alright?”. “Ah, no. I spilled some of the hot water and dropped the pot. Madam Bo is going to kill me” you said as he helped you to your feet. “I’ll handle Madam Bo. Let’s get you some ice for that burn”.
“Really Raiden, it is unnecessary,” you insist as he pulls you to the counter making you sit down, “Your health comes first, and Madam Bo would agree with me”. “Agree with what?” as if her name was spoken thrice, she appeared from the back room, the faint smell of nicotine telling you she had been on her smoke break. “Ay, not again” you winced at her scolding. “I swear you will be the death of me” she said, walking behind the counter and scooping a handful of ice into a rag to make an ice pack. “I’m sorry Madam Bo, I’ll work off the price of the pot–” Raiden interjected, “I’ll cover the price of the pot, Madam Bo”.
You looked stunned at Raiden, “No! I couldn’t possibly have you do that for me”. “Please, it’s the least I can do–” Madam Bo held up her hand to cut both of you off. “Neither of you will be paying. It was an accident, one that left you injured, I might add. I would not make you pay for that more than you already have, my dear. And you” she turned to Raiden, “You have made me proud. Taking care of her is no easy feat. I can tell you that much”. Your cheeks flushed in embarrassment as she side eyed you, “Go dress your wound and finish your shift early”. “Thank you Madam Bo” you gave a small bow before rushing off to finish waiting for your last tables.
“You know, you would spend less money on others belongings if you actually spoke with her” Raiden raised a brow in confusion. “She’d break more of YOUR plates if you would actually make any moves on her” Raiden’s mouth opened and closed as he looked for words, “I.. I don’t know what you're talking about”. Madam Bo only rolled her eyes before choosing to lean against the counter next to Kung Lao and light a new cigarette. “You know those are bad for you, right?”, “You want to stay my favorite? Stop talking”.
Finishing the two of their meals, Raiden laughed as Kung Lao palmed his sore and overstuffed stomach, “You were hungry”. Kung Lao only groaned in discomfort, letting out an obnoxious belch. The sound of the check being laid onto the table drew Radien’s attention to you smiling down at him.
Thank you“” Raiden said with a smile, grabbing the check. But looking down at it only had the words, ‘My shift ends in ten minutes’. Looking up, you were already gone, leaving Raiden stuck with a starstruck expression, jaw dragging the floor.  Standing, and leaving him alone with the bill, Kung Lao walked over to the smoking Madam Bo and reluctantly handed over a number of bills.
Raiden could care less. He had a date.

M*A*S*H 4077 & DND
guess who started their m*a*s*h rewatch around the same time they've gotten into d&d and now cannot stop thinking about the utter chaos and hyjinks of The Gang trying to play a campaign. it starts with none of them really super into fantasy roleplay, but they're all So Fucking Bored they might as well play to have something to do.
it started off imaging just what role they'd each play, but now I couldn't stop myself from imaging each person's race, class, AND, just for fun, the dice they'd use!
hawkeye: isn't that bothered about races, probably either an elf or just a human. class is paladin, relating the paladin's 'call for good' something like the oath doctors take to always help and heal patients, no matter what (and, let's be honest, probably feeds into his egotistical nature at being a naturally skilled surgeon, as if he was 'called'). cannot be Asked to care about ability scores (only to deeply regret it when he's nearly off'd the first battle) except for pouring most of his points into charisma. mostly likely of the party to Fuck his way out of a confrontation (no matter the other's gender #bihawkrights). spends most of the campaign messing around and forgetting what his spells are, but when the party hits a serious battle, is the first to throw himself in and use any spells to help his friends before himself. originally wasn't that interested in the game, but overtime becomes one of the ones who gets really into it, screaming across the board at ppl's bad roles and cheering & trying to pick ppl up in glee when they win. dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(just the most wack-ass coloured dice I could find, metaphor for the inside of his brain (also this way he can tell if anyone tries to conceal any as theirs)).
radar: while interested in the fantasy stuff (being a comic reader), was a little intimidated with all the math & rules involved until hawkeye and bj convince him. part of me thinks he could be a halfling or dwarf, but then I think he might enjoy being a humanoid creature like a minotaur (farm boy) or a satyr bc of his love of animals. class is bard, where he carries/plays the drum. enjoys and gets really into the story, but is always flummoxed when it comes to the battles, asking what everyone else thinks his character should do (only for everyone to yell back several different answers). always needs a couple of seconds of mental math to add his modifier to dice rolls (me too radar) but when the party comes across a riddle or puzzle, is usually the first to figure it out. keeps trying to pick up small creatures to put them in his sack. is not allowed to talk while people make their roles bc of too many times where he's predicted the number before they can read the dice (the moment of hawkeye's saving role during a Big Bad battle was kind of ruined when radar elatedly jumped up at the nat20 before the dice even left hawk's hand). dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(cute little puppers!)
margaret: at first is staunchly against it, calling it childs' play, but eventually is worn down by hawk & bj and is also so bored, she gives in. thought she might be an elf, but in the end chooses genasi, picking fire power. chooses the fighter class, leaving hawkeye to make a remark that gets a dice thrown at his head. doesn't really get super into the meta of the game or the story (often tells the dm to get on with it and cut to the action) but does love to play, where it overtime becomes a good outlet for anger ('the demon tries to approach you, margaret what do you-' 'I SLICE OFF HIS KNEECAPS WITH MY BATTLEAXE!'). is a good player until the roles don't go her way ('you only rolled a 10, so your attack doesn't hit-' 'SCREW YOU! KLINGER GIVE ME YOUR 18 ROLE!'). is pretending like she isn't having fun but everyone can see through her. dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(these seemed the most like margaret, elegant but not too girly).
henry: is also peer-pressured into joining. picks barbarian class so he doesn't have to think about spells. tries to pick human bc all the other races were 'too complicated' but got told due to his class, he has to pick a more built character like an orc, so an orc he ends up being. but he's bad at it, often either trying to escape a battle or by being a peacemaker, trying to persuade the monster out of battle but with such a low charisma score, it usually ends up with him getting clonked over the head and margaret jumping in before he's killed. keeps trying to give his gold to poor peasants they meet along the way. doesn't understand any of the mechanics. rolls so many nat1's that nobody will switch dice with him anymore, thinking his are cursed. the game is often more stressful for him then not, but he enjoys the time with his friends. dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(I dunno, for some reason when I think of henry I think of a dark orange/amber).
potter: prolongs joining, thinking he's too old for it, but is also peer-pressured and eventually caves, thinking it'll be good for morale. chooses dwarf and for his class to be an old wizard. doesn't understand half the rules, spends most of the time muttering under his breath as he goes over the manual, radar (un)helpfully leaning in beside him to explain. but once he gets the hang of it is a good team member; is the only other person besides margaret to take the hints and puzzles seriously and without him (+her) the party would probably be making circles lost in some boundless woods somewhere. cheers his teammates on when they make a high roll or powerful move and only occasionally has outbursts ('well colonial sir, you need a 16 or higher to cast-' 'MULE FRITTERS! I said cast magic missile and that's an order!!!"). dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(same thing - when I think of potter, I think a dark blue).
charles: the last of the group to get into it. completely refused and repeated that 'he was far too smart for that kids' stuff' and everyone was wasting their time. but when someone had to dip out of the campaign last minute to deal with a medical thing, charles was brought in as filler with the promise of a day's R&R. at first I thought high elf, but switched to dragonborne, of the noble variety of course. chooses sorcerer (blessed with some innate magic, as his ego prefers). constantly complains about the needless complexity of the rules and why bother having ability scores when it's the modifier that counts???? is always arguing with the dm on his rolls. uses up half of his turns to use mage hand to steal hawkeye's things or cast ray of sickness on him when he's being annoying - but, when it comes down to it, is one of the more strategic players and has gotten them out of many sticky situations. like margaret, is pretending he isn't having fun, but isn't immune to jumping up with the others over a saving nat20 role, at one time even excitedly picking up a confused radar. in the end, swallows his pride to shyly ask if he can join the party finally ('you know, it'll, uh..it will give me something to do during those boring intervals, and clearly this group needs all the brains it can get..' '..charles, you wanna come play with us?' 'well, if I must..'). dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(the snootiest of dice, a pure gold colour).
mulcahy: also initially intimidated by the mechanics, but is happy to play a game with his friends. a possible half-elf or maybe a wise owlin. cleric, obviously. gets invested in the storyline, often applauding the dm's story or asking 'what happens next???" only to be told to wait till the next meet. one of the few who has actual healing spells and probably the only reason everyone didn't die in their first battle. a nerd who enjoys solving the puzzles. actually gets into the lore and one time had a deep, 2 hr conversation with radar & hawkeye about the disenfranchisement of some of the races and the hierarchy of the class/rule structure within the fantasy realm, and how it relates to theirs. the next day, radar came to his tent to show him a little sketch he did of his character in cleric robes, shrugging it off, but mulcahy loved it so much he pinned it up on his tent walls. dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(inspired by one of my favourite mulcahy lines, when he's talking about missing holding services in real churches - 'I am rather fond of stained glass', which I always think of whenever I see stained windows. tried to pick the ones that emulated the colours best (also would've liked maybe a light, forest green colour; it just feels mulcahy-esque to me).
klinger: one of the first to join bc what else what he gunna do but sit in his tent, sewing up pantyhose? rogue class, of course, relating to the 'urchin' background. changeling race, so that way with his class he can hide at any moment, and also, as he says, 'can perfectly match his outfit no matter what he looks like!' tries to follow the storyline but doesn't have the attention span for it, half the time guessing the wrong answer to any clue or puzzle (will come and poke the dm awake in the middle of the night with his patrol gun, claiming to have figured it out). second after hawkeye to try and Fuck his way out of a situation. cannot do math to save his life, making margaret often rip his dice away from him to add it herself. will gang up with hawkeye to use his pickpocket skill on charles. resourceful enough to have tricked the villains multiple times and gotten away with it but will also roll to try and kick the villain in the nuts to see what happens. dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(these just screamed klinger to me; I like the dark, 'masculine' colour contrasted with with the colourful flowers).
bj: thought I missed him? well, I saved the best for last bc bj...is the dm! ha ha! no one really in particular stood out, but after thinking on it, he seems like the best fit. first, I was thinking of the episode 'the kids' where he gets really into the story he's telling, full of voices and sound affects and all. and secondly, our kindly mustacheo'd doctor loves Mind Games and pranks - what better way then stringing his friends along into one big, zigzag puzzle? bj loves nothing more then having his friends on the edge of their seats, only to pull out a bad guy the group thought they got rid of months ago, glee in his eyes watching them combust into screaming and table flipping. getting a thrill during off hours, hearing hawkeye & charles hastily whisper across bunks to each other on the campaign thinking he can't hear them, or getting shaken awake by margaret in the middle of the night, demanding answers. he spends hours planning out the campaigns in the tent (and finding new places to hide his papers from hawkeye), sometimes writing peg about it and occasionally - if the timing of the mail is right - using her suggestions she writes back. but mostly, bj just loves watching his friends have a good time - cheering each other on and hollering with each battle won, feeling proud of them for everything accomplished (when he doesn't have to babysit hawkeye & charles from casting spells on each other, trying to answer radar's 49th question on how rolls work, or keep margaret from solo fighting the demon fifteen levels above her). dice of choice:
Tumblr media
(idk, these just feel 'bj hunnicutt' to me).
other camp members: - frank: was only let in Once after margaret begged hawk & bj, saying it was only fair. initially picked human bc 'they're clearly the purest and most civilized race!!' (causing eyerolls), quit thirty minutes in after being told he couldn't be a fighter 'cause they already had margaret and that he couldn't just 'set all his abilities to 20', calling them all nerds and angrily throwing a d20, only for it to bounce back on the tent beam and hit him in the eye. - some of the nurses have occasionally filled in, but otherwise don't play outside of margaret (most of their time was filled up with hawkeye using his character to flirt with theirs). one time nurse kellye filled in; she played a cute little halfling druid, and her and radar teamed up to help rescue all the forest animals, much to the groups chagrin. - zale & igor: permanently banned. both tried to eat the dice on a dare.
campaigns are held twice a month in the swamp, with drinks and stale pretzels to go around. use to sometimes go all night but after one too many nights of clambering arguments over each other's rolls, the whole camp banded together to force a curfew. while the game only exists within the swamp's quarters, they'll once and a while jokingly call each other by their character's names (and if you're margaret, one time accidentally using it to call hawkeye to surgery, which he now never lets you live down). during the last campaign of the story, radar pulls out another drawing he did - this time of everyone's characters, standing valiantly over the dragon they slayed. it now has a place of honour hung in the swamp.

Possession (Alpha Rick x Omega Reader)
Prev. Work | Collection Masterlist | AO3 Ver. | Next Work
Pairing: Rick Grimes/Fem!Reader
Summary: After catching another alpha making unwanted advances on you, Rick makes the younger man watch as he claims you all over again, showing that you are indisputably his.
Set in the early Alexandria days (s5).
A light sequel to my other story, ‘the Claim’, but this can be read independently.
A/N: If you haven’t read ‘the Claim’, basically Reader is Hershel’s daughter but can be read as any race (as in you can picture her as adopted etc.).
If you have read it, then just note that Lori still died giving birth to Judith, making Shane completely lose his sanity and he’s no longer around either (the reason why can be left up to your imagination). Like in the show, Rick has adopted Judith as his own and you both act as her parents but that is only mentioned and doesn’t play any serious role in this oneshot.
I’m really unsure about this one because the scenario is pretty fucked up lmao but hopefully it’s not complete and utter trash 😅
Warnings: A/B/O dynamics, there’s some non-consensual kissing and touching from an original male character, Rick being feral, dominant, possessive and a little bit dark, submissive reader, smut, brief orgasm delay/denial, unprotected sex, creampie, established relationship, Rick and reader are true mates, reverse-voyeurism I guess? Since Rick is literally getting off by making someone else watch... reader is female and wears traditionally female clothing.

Rick couldn’t help but feel uneasy and keep his guard up in the early days after arriving in Alexandria. After losing the farm and then later the prison, it was only natural that the whole group felt on edge. It felt too good to be true and it reminded him a little of Woodbury, making him wonder if Alexandria was also putting up some kind of front.
Ultimately though, Rick wanted it to be everything it presented itself as, because the group needed a win after the hell they’d all been through. So, Rick was determined to try and make it work; and he knew that he could eventually – at least once he put a certain alpha in his place.
It hadn’t escaped his attention how a younger alpha kept hanging around you, his omega. It bothered him, deep down, that the other man was closer to you in age and the way he made you laugh and smile with whatever stupid things he was saying.
But Rick knew that the interactions were just friendly on your part. Your eyes had never strayed in all the time you’d been together, but that didn’t subdue the possessiveness he felt over you. The problem was the other alpha, Dylan, and the clear interest he had in you, despite you being claimed by Rick long ago.
The way he touched you – light brushes against your skin that could have easily been explained away as an accident, but Rick knew it was much more than that – it made his blood boil. Rick had seen you grow uncomfortable more than once, but your new job, assigned to you by Deanna, meant that you would have to work closely with the other alpha. He didn’t like it, but he knew that he had nothing solid to prove that Dylan was doing anything wrong. At least not yet.
His irritation only got worse when he came back to the house you’d been given, early in the evening one day after he’d been discussing things with Deanna. Because the first thing he saw was Carol, holding Judith, and no sign of you. The two of you had adopted the little girl as your own after Lori’s death, so the fact that you weren’t the one looking after her was out of the ordinary. His eyes scanned the rest of the living room, but you were nowhere to be found and it set him on edge.
“She went off to help someone,” the beta woman told him calmly, sensing his uneasiness.
“Who?” He grit out, already knowing the likely answer.
“Dylan,” she replied with a hint of trepidation, knowing he wouldn’t like it. “Wanted some advice on that wild horse that was brought in.”
It was a logical reason to ask for your help, since you had plenty of experience with horses due to growing up on the farm. Not to mention the fact that Dylan was in charge of looking after any livestock in Alexandria and you were tasked with working alongside him. But Rick knew there had to be an ulterior motive on the other alpha’s part, so he didn’t even say another word to Carol before he turned and headed back out the door in search of you.
Tumblr media
You were in the stables of Alexandria, stroking along the nose of the wild, yet beautiful mare that had been successfully captured, trying to calm it as it grew restless in its stall.
“I’ll try to spend some time with her every day,” you told Dylan, your attention still on the mare. “Gain her trust first before we try to do anything with her.”
“Thanks, Y/N,” the young alpha replied, moving closer to you.
His arm brushed against yours and you tried to ignore the uncomfortable feeling growing inside of you. You turned to face him and tried to put some distance between you both, but he just kept coming closer.
“You know,” he said, getting right up in your space. “It’s gonna be really nice having you around here to help.”
“Uh… thanks?” You replied, dread filling you at the way he wouldn’t stop coming closer and closer.
“And it’s just an added bonus that you’re easy on the eyes,” he continued, looking you up and down.
He had backed you up against the nearest wall and now his scent was all around you. It was suffocating and unpleasant, because it wasn’t Rick’s familiar and comforting scent. The fear just grew inside you at the lack of your alpha’s presence.
“Dylan... Rick will lose it if he hears you say something like that,” you warned, knowing better than anyone just how protective your alpha could be.
“That old man?” He scoffed, causing anger to rise within you. “What’s he gonna do?”
Dylan pressed his body against yours and you struggled, trying to move away, but he took hold of your arms and pinned you in place.
“Come on, Omega,” he tried to convince you and you hated the way that word sounded coming from his mouth. “You need a real Alpha. One who can keep up with you.”
If only he knew… you thought to yourself, thinking that you were the one usually left exhausted as you tried to keep up with Rick’s stamina.
“What?” You asked, with annoyance, trying to mask your discomfort. “Someone like you? Give me a break…”
“Don’t worry,” he snarled, his face so close that you were forced to look him in the eye. “I’ll make you forget him. I’ll make it so the only name you remember is mine.”
“Seriously,” you fought against him again. “Just cut it out. You don’t want to see him angry.”
“You reek of him,” was Dylan’s only response.
“What do you expect? He’s my mate.”
“That’s never stopped me before,” he grinned.
He pushed his hips against you so that you could feel how excited he was by the idea. It only repulsed you and made you turn your head away in disgust.
“Please, don’t do this…” you pleaded with him, truly scared now as you realised the full depth of his intentions.
“That’s right,” he chuckled darkly. “Beg, little Omega.”
Then he took hold of your face roughly, turning it back to look at him before his lips forced themselves onto yours. You kicked your legs and grunted against him in anger, trying desperately to get away, but his hold on you was steadfast and you weren’t able to escape.
You hated it, every fibre of your being screaming out that this was wrong and wondering where the hell Rick was. It was more than just another man forcing himself on you. It was like trying to mess with nature, because the claiming bite Rick had placed on your neck linked you to him intrinsically. It joined you physically and emotionally, so another man touching you was like torture.
You gasped for air, relief filling your body when Dylan’s body was ripped away from yours. The relief didn’t last long, though, because you caught sight of your alpha, enraged and completely out of control. You wiped the back of your hand against your mouth, wishing you could erase what had just happened.
Rick was fuming and pushed the other alpha to the ground before plummeting his fists into the younger alpha’s face. His eyes were feral with an untamed fury over another man touching you in that way.
“Rick…” you called out softly, trying to get his attention.
Despite his anger being completely warranted, and the way you still felt disgusted over the other alpha’s unwanted touch, you needed Rick to calm down. Because if he didn’t, it could jeopardise the new home you had all found.
But Rick either didn’t hear you or refused to listen, continuing to brutally beat the other alpha down into the ground. You winced when you heard the tell-tale sound of bones breaking and saw the way Dylan’s head whipped to the side from the force of Rick’s assault.
When most of the younger man’s face was a mix of dark bruising and bright, red blood, Rick finally let up, his chest heaving and his eyes still absolutely feral. He stood up, leaving Dylan on the ground, the younger man coughing and wheezing in his defeat.
Then Rick’s gaze met your terrified one and his expression softened as he made his way over to you. His eyes and hands searched you frantically, making sure that you were okay, and you looked at the broken skin of his knuckles with concern.
“Baby, I’m sorry,” his voice cracked as he spoke, and then he was resting his forehead against yours.
“F-for what?” You stammered out, still in shock from it all.
“I wasn’t here,” he elaborated, his hands resting protectively on your hips. “To stop him from doing that to you."
“You’re here now,” you pointed out, your fingers stroking soothing patterns across his cheek. “But… you shouldn’t have done that. Won’t Deanna get mad?”
You looked over at the other alpha, still lying on the ground, but now unmoving. Seeing the way your concern only deepened, Rick followed your gaze and his mood darkened again. He moved away from you, striding back over to the man who was the reason for his current rage.
Bending down, he grabbed hold of the collar of the younger man’s shirt with one hand, pulling him up slightly before he hit across Dylan’s face with his other hand. The other alpha startled back awake with a groan, eyes barely keeping open from how swollen they’d become.
Rick pulled him up, dragging his body until it was propped up against the wall that he’d previously held you against. Then, he bent right down to look straight into the other alpha’s eyes, every part of him seething as he was only just holding back from killing the younger man.
“No, you don’t get to pass out,” Rick drawled out, voice low and gruff with barely restrained fury. “You’re gonna watch. You’re gonna see everything and take it all in until you understand that she’s mine. And afterwards, assuming that you get to live, if you ever even look at her again, I’ll do more than just break your jaw.”
You stared at your alpha with confusion, wondering what exactly he intended for the other man to see. Then Rick stepped back before turning to look at you again and the unrestrained lust that entered his eyes as he took you in made you both nervous and excited.
“Rick…” you said again, backing up and away from him.
He stalked you like you were his prey, but it was different to when the other alpha had done it. Because Rick was yours and you were his. And sooner or later, he would have you however he wanted you. Your back hit resistance and you realised that you were trapped again, but now there was only desire and anticipation filling you at the thought of what he had in mind.
“Omega,” he said lowly, caging your body with his. “Tell me what he said to you. What he wanted to do.”
Your eyes widened at his request, but you had never seen him so completely feral, so raw with anger. Reluctantly, you decided to obey him, not wanting to push him any further.
 “He…”
You faltered, feeling nervous, but Rick gave you a reassuring look, telling you he wouldn’t be angry. Not with you anyway.
“He… he said he would show me what a real alpha is like…” you admitted hesitantly.
Rick’s gaze darkened, but he didn’t interrupt. You didn’t like repeating it, but deep down, in the darkest depths of your mind, you enjoyed how possessive he was of you. That alone gave you the courage to continue.
“He wanted to take me, despite the fact I’m yours. Wanted me to beg him to stop…”
You looked away, but that was enough for Rick. He gently turned your head back to face him and rubbed his thumb over your bottom lip tenderly.
“I’m here now,” he repeated your earlier words. “I won’t let anything happen to you.”
You nodded, trusting him completely and he leaned forward, bringing his lips to yours. The familiar, but no less perfect sensation made all of the tension you felt fade away. His mouth reclaimed your own, washing away any traces of the other alpha and reminding you that you were Rick’s and his alone. His to claim, his to protect and his to love.
Just like every other time that he kissed you, the world around you seemed to melt away and you forgot that you weren’t alone. You forgot everything except for Rick. So, you gave no resistance when his hands moved up your thighs and under your skirt. Your only reaction was to let your hips buck up with need when his fingers came into contact with your core.
He pushed your flimsy panties to the side, allowing him to feel you properly and tease you senseless. You quickly grew wet, your body perfectly tuned to respond eagerly to his touch. Rick knew exactly what you wanted, understanding what drove you towards euphoric release.
He thrust his fingers inside of you, while his thumb moved over your clit, applying just the right amount of pressure. It rubbed in circular motions, occasionally flicking over the sensitive nub to stimulate you further. You moaned shamelessly, clinging to the soft lapels of his jacket.
It was that dark brown suede one, with the woollen collar that he always seemed to be wearing when he unleashed his anger on someone, after they pissed him off. Seeing him in it, earlier that day, that should have been a warning sign telling you that something bad was going to happen.
But in that moment, he had never looked more desirable as his head pulled back and you took in the raw lust in his piercing blue eyes. Tendrils of his curly hair fell down onto his face and his lips were swollen from the force of the kiss you’d just shared. He was determined to prove a point and it left you aching for him.
“You’re so wet, ‘mega,” he groaned out, fingers still plunging in and out of your pussy. “Just for me, right?”
“Only for you, Alpha,” you responded instantly, biting down on your lower lip in an attempt to stifle your moans.
“What do you want, baby?” He asked, fingers curling inside of you. “Tell me.”
“I want you,” was your breathless reply. “I need you. Your cock… inside me...”
 “Beg for it.”
“What?” You asked, in a daze.
Rick pulled his fingers from you abruptly, ignoring the way you whined at the sudden empty feeling they left behind. He grabbed hold of you, turning you around until you were facing the other alpha – the man you’d forgotten was even there. He was still conscious but barely keeping his eyes open. Yet, his attention was fixed on the two of you.
“Oh god…” you whispered with embarrassment at the sudden reminder of his presence.
“Did you forget we had company, baby?” Rick asked, pressing his chest against your back as his arms held tightly to your waist. “He’s going to watch you come undone. He’s going to learn that you’re mine. Only mine.”
 “Rick…”
“I told you, sweetheart,” he continued. “If you want my cock, you have to ask for it. Give him what he wanted, let him hear you beg. For me.”
“Fuck,” you groaned in response, unable to deny how turned on you were by his show of dominance.
Rick pushed down on your back, bending you forward slightly as his leg moved between yours. Your thighs spread instantly, letting him settle between them and his strong hands pushed your skirt up so that you were fully exposed to him.
Then he we went still, holding you there but no longer moving. You realised what he was waiting for, but it was humiliating to think of begging him in front of someone else.
 “Omega,” he warned.
One of his hands left you and you heard the tell-tale sign of him unbuckling his belt. Just the thought of him being so close but unwilling to touch you until you did as he demanded broke your resolve.
“Oh god,” you whined out, desperate for his touch. “Please, Rick…”
The sound of his belt hitting the floor from behind you made you even more needy, because he still wasn’t touching you how you wanted him to.
“You can do better than that, ‘mega,” he replied calmly.
“Please, Alpha. Please fuck me, I need it.”
You no longer cared that you had an audience. Rick was an expert at making you come undone for him and you were at the point where you’d do anything that he asked if it meant he would give you what you so desperately craved. A deep moan escaped you when he took hold of your hips, pressing you back against him.
You realised that his pants were pulled down, allowing his hardened length to rub against you tantalisingly. But it wasn’t enough. He wasn’t where you ached for him to be.
“Go on,” he coaxed you with a groan, wanting more. “Tell me what you need.”
“I need your cock,” you replied obediently. “Only yours.”
 “Why?”
“Because… oh, fuck,” you faltered briefly as his erection brushed against your clit. “Because you’re the only one who can make me feel good.”
“That’s right,” he agreed, pleased with your words. “And where do you want it, baby?”
“Rick!” You whined, unable to comprehend how he was so composed or how he still wasn’t satisfied.
“Tell me,” he insisted, one hand tugging at your hair and pulling your head back.
“I need your cock inside me,” you gave in. “Deep inside my pussy. Please, please, please… I need it so badly!”
“Such a dirty mouth,” he let out a light laugh.
“Rick, please, I can’t take it anymore.”
“Okay, baby,” he soothed you, lining himself up at your entrance. “Since you begged me so nicely.”
He didn’t wait for a response, thrusting into you hard and fast, his cock pushing in, right to the hilt. The moan that escaped you was primal and desperate as your pussy clenched around him in response.
“See how well she responds to me?” Rick asked, no longer talking to you.
Your eyes fluttered shut and you attempted to block it out. But it was impossible, because your body was so acclimated to taking in his every word.
“You know,” he continued, still pounding into you from behind. “She’s still just as tight as the first time I fucked her. This pussy was made for me. Enjoy the show, because this is the only time you’ll ever see her like this.”
“Rick,” you cried out, going crazy from the way he was speaking. “Oh god, don’t stop!”
It ashamed you how much it turned you on. You were absolutely dripping, not only from his actions, but from his possessive display of dominance.
“Hear that?” He continued taunting the other man. “This is how an alpha fucks his omega. And you? All you can do is watch.”
“Please, I’m so close…” you begged, your mind in an absolute daze.
“No,” Rick denied, his words now meant for you. “You don’t get to cum until I tell you to.”
You whined obstinately, but you both knew that he had you wrapped around his finger and that you’d do whatever he said. Your body rocked forward with every brutal thrust, and he knew exactly what he was doing to you, but he still had a point to prove.
“She’s mine,” Rick grit out, sounding like he was getting closer to the edge – of both his release and his sanity. “Every single part of her is attuned to me. If she begs, it’ll be because I tell her to. The only alpha she’s ever gonna know is me.”
It was like a sweet sense of euphoria when his hand moved down between your legs, and he brought his attention back to your aching clit.
“You’re so good to me, aren’t you baby?” He praised, his lips right by your ear.
“Yes,” you replied, desperate to cum. “Yes, only for you, Rick.”
His thumb rubbed over your sensitive nub and your pussy contracted around him in response.
“That’s it,” he coaxed you, voice low and reverberating through his chest against your back. “Cum for me sweetheart, let me feel you squeezing around me.”
“Fuck!” You moaned out desperately as he flicked his thumb over your clit and sent your body crashing over the edge.
Rick let out desperate sounds of his own as he pushed into you deeply, holding you steady against him. Then, the hand he still had holding onto your hair forced your head to tilt to the side, offering your neck to him.
His head bent down and his lips came into contact with your mating gland before he sunk his teeth into the skin, reclaiming you so that there would be no doubt about who you belonged to. You couldn’t stop yourself from letting out a scream – it was partly from pain, as the old wound was reopened, but mostly it was from a deep and intense sense of pleasure as he re-staked his claim.
Then you felt his cock twitch before he came deep inside of you, his other hand resting over your lower abdomen possessively. Rick kept you close to him, making sure you took every last drop while his tongue soothed the spot on your neck that would always keep you tied together.
He traced light patterns along your stomach, comforting you as you both came down from your high. Eventually, he pressed one last kiss to your sensitive gland before pulling back and sliding out of you. He fixed your skirt, moving it back down before he righted his own clothing, pulling his pants back up and covering himself again.
You swayed a little on the spot, still in a bit of a daze. He seemed instantly aware of how exhausted and spent your body was, because he wrapped his arms around you, turning you to face him.
“You’re okay, sweetheart,” he promised. “I’ve got you.”
Your head fell to his chest, and you let out a content sigh as he pulled you into a protective hug. When your body had settled and you were able to support yourself, Rick pulled away and brought his attention back to the other alpha.
Dylan began breathing heavily as Rick walked back over to him. But he was so beaten, bloody and bruised that he couldn’t seem to say anything. You watched as your alpha gave him one last, hard punch to the face, knocking him out cold again.
“Rick, this is not good,” you said, reality and all its repercussions coming back to you. “Once Deanna finds out –”
“Hey,” he cut you off, moving back over to you. “I’ll take care of it. Don’t worry, okay?”
His expression had softened again, and he reached out to take your hands in his. You wanted to trust him, because he’d never let you down before, but Alexandria was so different to what you’d experienced since the loss of the farm, and you didn’t want to lose the sense of security and normalcy that it provided.
“Y/N,” he held your gaze, his voice filled with conviction. “I love you. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
You couldn’t hold back a smile at his words, and you nodded, letting your instinct to trust him overcome all of your doubts.
“I love you too,” you replied softly.
He grinned in response, pulling you closer and capturing your lips in a gentle and loving kiss. As usual, everything else seemed to fade away until all that was left was Rick and your unwavering faith in him.

How would you give a brief summary of how Amphibia, intentionally or not, exhibits Marxist themes?
could you expand on the marxist allegory in amphibia?? from what I could tell it was your bog standard (no pun intended) "fight the power" cartoon plot. the most marxist adjacent thing I remember is that one hop pop gag, I'm interested to see what I missed
no offense guys, but im kind of amazed that anyone could miss such an unsubtle, crucial theme of the show??? and i really don’t think it’s unintentional. this is the same guy who wrote the episode of gravity falls (“the golf war”) about the exploitation of labor, that included one of the best lines in the show: “but isn’t that cheating?” “pacifica’s rich, mabel, she’s cheating at life.”
the world of amphibia presents us with three distinct classes: the rural workers who are the backbone of society (frogs), the police/military (toads) whose job it is to exploit the workers for the elites (newts) and crack down on any unionization efforts / solidarity movements among them, and the walled-off urban bourgeoisie in newtopia who benefit from the exploitation of the working class and their colonial enterprises. again, this really isn’t subtle!
as the daughter of thai immigrants who own a small business and rely on the support of their local community, anne is able to bridge the diasporic gap between herself and her parents through her experience as a total outsider in wartwood who ultimately builds a strong connection with her community and learns to take pride in her work of making and providing food. conversely, marcy’s role in newtopia parallels her experience as the daughter of upper middle class multiple generation taiwanese americans, thinking that she has fully established herself in this welcoming metropolis due to her hard work and intelligence, only realizing that she is simply another exploited pawn of the ruling class’s imperialist mission once it is too late.
back home, sasha used her whiteness to protect her best friend(s) from racism, as well as knowing exactly how to weaponize her pretty blonde girl privilege to get away with petty crimes such as vandalism and shoplifting, and (misguidedly, imo) assumes that her presence will automatically protect anne from getting in trouble as well. as a toad, sasha learns through her friendships across classes (anne and marcy are frogs and newts, respectively) that solidarity movements beyond the arbitrary class divisions designed to keep them in line while the monarchy profits are the only way to truly resist imperial conquest, that shutting down working class revolutions for the benefit of those imperialists is merely the illusion of having power. her first attempt at overthrowing the monarchy fails because she simply wants to replace the monarch instead of dismantling the system, but it is her resistance movement in which she allies herself with frogs, toads, and newts that she is finally successful in her mission.
yes, hop pop yells “eat the rich!” while dropping a guillotine, but it is his role as a farmer and the pride he takes in his work, his unfailing honesty and humility as a local businessman, the work ethic he instills in his grandchildren, the way he isn’t afraid to stand up against their greedy and exploitative toad mayor, and the way his resistance makes him the face of a revolution so existentially threatening to the toad order that they feel the need to execute him that makes him a marxist icon.
hop pop serves as a contrast to grime, a positive role model who demonstrates the value of honest work (even if anne never particularly takes to farming, she does clearly find value in making food for people, especially as a way for her to share her culture with others). grime on the other hand is a terrible role model for sasha, as he relishes in the privilege he does have through his exploitation of others instead of questioning his role in society and the ways in which he is exploited for the benefit of the empire. sasha is the one who teaches him about the importance of solidarity movements, while he encourages the kind of selfishness, greed, and violence that toads are taught to value.
when marcy meets hop pop, she already has an understanding that farmers are the backbone of society, the relational importance of the natural world, and the significance of community-building and worker solidarity in running a functional society, but she is also duped into overemphasizing her role as a single individual, which becomes her downfall. while she genuinely wants to do good for a world that has helped her, welcomed her, and shown her kindness, she has been taught to place too much faith in her own intellectual capabilities, and it is her mind that becomes exploited– and is used to exploit– for the purposes of the empire. marcy would never want to exploit the working class, colonize and destroy other worlds for their resources, destroy the environment, or use violence to keep people in line, but darcy, who uses her mind and body like a puppet, makes sure she has no say in the matter.
while andrias is the current ruler of amphibia (and mind you, his reign has lasted 1000 years), the core is the final boss to defeat because andrias is merely the figurehead of the empire, while the core represents Empire itself. (again, it’s literally called The Core! it’s not subtle!!!) while many people took issue with the seemingly simplistic way the final fight between the core and the trio went down, you have to remember that it’s ultimately a metaphor about the power of class solidarity against an imperialist legacy that would rather preserve its hollow illusion of greatness than actually serve the people who live there. the core can’t believe that anne would sacrifice the stones, the tool/weapon that allowed them to colonize other worlds in the first place, which they call “amphibia’s greatest treasure,” but anne reminds them (and us) that amphibia’s greatest treasure is not its capacity for power, but the people, the communities that have come together to support her and one another.
amphibia is a show that is fundamentally about change. ultimately, its intersecting discussions of class, race, imperialism, and resistance come to a head in the finale when the importance of embracing change is underscored not only in the personal growth and development of each character, but also in the way its characters (specifically anne) are unafraid to give up everything they know and love for the sake of revolution. make of that what you will.

I have some thoughts re: Kayne / godhood (spoilers for intermezzo)
I don't think Kayne respects any of the other gods. He definitely doesn't respect the King in Yellow, he knocked him over the head w/ an oversized mallet to give him amnesia and stuck him in Arthur's head and reduced the Dreamlands to "a lawless waste" for a laugh. He also destroyed his city for the hell of it. He doesn't fucking care. He's rude to John, ignores him, says 'Arthur' when referring to both of them. I thought I noticed this undercurrent of quiet animosity, but felt vindicated during 40 + Intermezzo b/c he was suddenly soooooo loud! Ignoring & talking over John? Check. Telling him he's not special like Arthur? Check. Saying he'll torture him worse than Arthur just because he can? Check. My theory is it's b/c John's still a god, technically. Like the whole, choosing your own name + path... you'd think would be something Kayne could sympathize with (as much as Kayne can feel sympathy), but...........no. He knows John is easier to manipulate w/ fear (he can send him back to the Dark World w/ a snap of his fingers), and saves his faux sympathy for Arthur.
I think this is b/c he likes humans. Sure, he also likes killing them, but I don't think those impulses are mutually exclusive. Kayne's the most "human" of the gods we've met. He talks like a human, makes pop culture references, looks passingly human, etc. I think he envies them, in a way? They have a freedom I think he lacks as a god, even though they are confined to one timeline. We still don't fully understand how gods work, but from his description alone it sounds like he thinks of them as limited. They have incredible power compared to mortals, they exist outside the piano... but are confined to a single key. Which sounds to me like their path is predetermined and they're not intended to develop free will. Kayne's an anomaly b/c he does, or tries to.
He wants to put humans in an antfarm, perhaps as a demonstration of his free will. That's all Carcosa was, right? An antfarm. He wanted to play godzilla, smash the ants. Arthur's another ant in a different farm, and he watched his entire life play out across several verses to try to figure him out. What makes him unique is he dies in every other verse. Kayne can't figure out what makes this Arthur so special that he survives when all the others don't, but it implies he did something right with his free will, that this version is an "anomaly" like Kayne. He respects that, b/c it means this version of Arthur has done the same thing he has: taken control of their narrative. Even Kayne choosing his own name is an example of that. Becoming Kayne, rejecting the title Nyarlathotep and all the baggage that comes with it, the expectation to be what his father wants, a messenger for the outer gods (although he may still want that, I expect whatever his intentions are re: the Black Stone, they're his, not Azathoth's).
Arthur is usually a mirror for character's to see their humanity reflected, but instead of seeing his humanity (b/c he has none), Kayne looks at Arthur and sees himself. Which... surprised me? He seems so confident in his godhood, I thought he just viewed Arthur as his fave toy or human, like even in the S4 finale I found it hilarious how he kept going: "why can't you all just be more like Arthur???" apropo of.....nothing, but he didn't treat him like someone he identified with, so it caught me off-guard when he compared himself to Arthur, but that's big for a god! and I think it supports my thesis he envies humans for their freedom. Their roles aren't as "established" as a god's. Humans have free will, something he had to kill every other version of himself to gain. Even then, I think absorbing his alts (???) or whatever he did after killing them to become more powerful fucked him up, may have driven him mad if he wasn't already when he started this exercise in defending-himself-from-ever-getting-deleted, like he doesn't sound okay when he's talking to himself.
TLDR: Kayne thinks Arthur's special b/c he lived, when all the other Arthur's in Kayne's Arthur-Killing-Experiment died! (: Kayne can't figure out why, but he likes not knowing why. He likes humanity b/c of their freedom, b/c he's a chaos god who wants as much freedom as possible. And he's aware gods are fallible, they can be deleted, which takes all the romance out of godhood. Kayne's the most powerful god we've met b/c he's taken steps to emulate humanity's free will, the thing that makes Arthur "special," but what makes Arthur "hard to see" is probably his humanity. As much as Kayne likes humanity, I don't think it's something he can truly understand, which is why he enjoys sticking humans full of pins and trying.
I think it's neat Malevolent prizes humanity over godhood. Even gods seem to value humanity over godhood. John wants to become human. Yellow wants acceptance from a human. I think Kayne holds humans in higher esteem than gods. Those who look down on humans or try to 'ascend' and leave behind their humanity, like Larson, are clearly in the wrong. It's not seen as a weakness to be human, and even the parts of humanity that are usually written off as a weakness (our rage, grief, violence, desperation, etc...) are viewed as strengths in Malevolent, and I fucking love that about this show.
Anyway, I'll, uhh, shut up now.
