does GL have tea parties with Elise and the other children-? Is Mori forced to join the tea parties-? When Mori cant make it who is substituted in for him or do they just leave his spot open?
They do.
Elise, Kyuusaku, Aya, Katsumi, Shinji, Sakura, Yu and Kousuke are having tea parties from time to time. And they often offer GL and other BSD Characters to join them. So, if any of the adults want to join them, they always have an open spot.
Some interesting bits about some characters:
Who joins often:
1. Guiding Light - will tell kids stories from the real world.
2. Oda Sakunosuke - he can be so serious, it looks funny.
3. Ivan Goncharov - he will take tea preparations upon himself.
4. Mori Ougai - will let kids braid his hair or make pigtails.
5. Ranpo Edogawa - need constant supervision, so he won't eat all snacks.
6. Kouyou Ozaki - she is surprisingly good with kids.
7. Akiko Yosano - will insist on more healthier snacks, but, won't spoil the fun.
8. Bram Stoker - will join, only if Aya present. Actually, quite good caretaker.
9. Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald - he was a father, so, he knows, how to host a tea party for children.
10. Kenji Miyazawa - just likes to play with kids.
11. Kyouka Izumi - she is on a quiet side, but, will gladly join the tea party.
12. Karma - keep an eye on kids during tea parties.
13. Fyodor Dostoevsky - will join only if you present and if he wants tea. A little bit passive, but, will let kids hide under his coat.
14. Nikolai Gogol - will make a little circus show for kids.
15. Fukuzawa Yukichi and Fukuchi Ouchi - will be bombarded with questions about their past.
16. Dazai Osamu - perfect, if tea party have a role play element. Will be overdramatic, but kids adore him.
17. Atsushi Nakajima - likes to play with kids.
18. Tanizaki siblings - Junchirou will make snacks and use his ability to live things up. Naomi is good at having a small talk.
19. Kirako Haruno, Louisa May Alkott and Edgar Allan Poe - a little bit awkward around kids, but, not against joining the game.
20. Sigma - it was a surprise, but kids always listen to him. Mostly joins for cookies.
21. Flags - good with dealing with kids, especially teens.
22. Ryunosuke Akutagawa - sometimes, can be a good babysitter. Will make a hammock from Rashomon for kids' entertainment.
23. Gin Akutagawa - better, then her brother. Will bring good tea.
24. Chuuya Nakahara - will join, only if GL are here. Will make table and chairs float. Not that interested in game itself, but won't spoil the fun.
Who won't join as often as they can:
1. Doppo Kunikida and Nathaniel Hawthorne - will join only if they are looking after kids today and there's no other adults. Still, they are good at playing along.
2. Katai Tayama - he is not good with kids. But, he will find cartoons or films for kids to watch.
3. Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud - join even lesser, then Kunikida and Hawthorne. Don't think, that they are good with kids.
4. André Gide - doesn't think, that he deserves to join kids' game.
Who are forbidden to join:
1. Tetchou Suehiro - problem is in his eating habits. He did it a couple of times on a tea party and kids decided to copy him. Only Elise didn't get a stomach ache. Since then, Tetchou isn't allowed to join tea parties without supervision.
2. Alexander Pushkin - he is bad in controlling his tongue and will talk about something inappropriate. And we aren't talking about swearing. Pushkin might start talking about neighbors, and who were with whom. And kids are like sponges. When Sakura, after a tea party with Pushkin, start asking Oda and you, if your neighbor really doesn't know, who is the father of her children, and what clients she brings home, you two almost strangle Pushkin. He isn't allowed to interact with kids without supervision.
Who aren't allowed to join at the same time:
Karma, Fyodor and Guiding Light
Because, when Shinji invite you three, that happened:
Everyone: drinking tea
Shinji: talking to you I am so glad, that you three start spending time as family. Finally, you and Fyodor stop neglecting your son Karma.
You, Karma and Fyodor almost chocked on your teas. It takes five minutes for your three to start breathing normally.
Karma is scared and try to hide behind his tea cup.
Fyodor never looked that shocked before. He is looking at Shinji, but can't form a single word.
You were just trying to say something.
You: "Wh... Who? Us... Our? Whom?... Wh... What..? Karma? Ours..?"
Shinji: didn't realize, that situation became this Yes! You wanted to save Karma, and Fyodor did it. You two saved him. Like Oda saved us. So, he is yours now.
Tea party come to an end. Karma couldn't look at you or Fyodor for a week.
Osamu and Nikolai, who, somehow, learn about this situation, were teasing you and Fyodor about, who will be 'stay at home parent' and who will be a 'breadwinner' for the two weeks.

What Did You Eat Yesterday? 2 Ep 4 Stray Thoughts
Last week, we had the Halloween episode! We got the backstory on Kohinata and Wataru and learned that Wataru's dad had disowned him a long time ago. Kenji reprised his suit costume from the movie and accommodated Shiro's normal dress. Wataru thought he dressed as a wolf, but he just looked like a cat; Kohinata was way into it. Kenji makes them wear their rings when they visit Kohinata and Wataru. Later, Shiro's parents planned for their storage of their remains and offered a place for Kenji. Kenji took this offering for what it was and recontextualized his relationship with Shiro's mom to be a daughter-in-law who wasn't liked by her mother-in-law. This is clearly an upgrade for Kenji.
Oh lord the manager's side piece is coming back.
I like when shows just casually incorporate an actress's pregnancy into a show.
I agree with Shan. The new intro song is not growing on me.
I like the relationship Kenji has with the manager, and I like that he can chide him directly for his behavior.
Oo-sensei is determined to make Shiro take over the firm.
I feel like we should have a bigger discussion about the changing labor culture in Japan that Shiro's desire to leave work on time is now the current wave.
This man invited Kenji to his home for food? DANGER.
It's actually really fun seeing someone new cook, even if he's very much a man who doesn't think he should do any chores.
Thankfully I made pasta yesterday so I'm not getting hit with a craving.
I really hope Tabuchi reconciles with Chinami and just starts doing more of their cooking. He's clearly better at it.
Thank you, Kenji. Food as love means Chinami definitely felt bad that her food couldn't make Tabuchi feel her love.
I'm actually glad Reiko is leaving the manager. He's a mess and she wasn't happy.
Shiro and Kenji have come a long way. Neither of them got jealous about that dinner, and Shiro is speaking openly about potentially taking over the firm.
And now it comes home. It's about making food for those you love, and then telling the ones who cooked you enjoyed their food.
I really enjoy this version of Shiro and Kenji. They're so much fun in this nesting phase.

Natsukashii {懐かしい}:
Chapter 4:
(Red text means the person is speaking in Japanese and white means the person is speaking in English.)
(⚠️TW: domestic violence/abuse, swearing, mention of abortion.⚠️)
October 14th, 1995.
Along the streets on Koriyama
Kotaro and Snake…..
..
Kotaro and Hajime used to be childhood best friends. They were attached at the hip, they saw each other everyday at school, they were neighbors! Nothing could separate them. They were riding bikes back to their houses, they had a race.
“*pant* *pant* Hajime-San! How could you be so fast?” Kotaro’s says out of breath.
“You’re just jealous because my legsss are ssstronger than yoursss!” Hajime laughs.
They both kept on riding their bikes, Kotaro tried catching up to Hajime, the peddled and peddled, his bike accidentally hits some rubble on the ground and his bike tips over onto oncoming traffic, Kotaro was about to fall when Hajime immediately grabbed his hand and lifted him up.
“Woah, you need to be more careful, Taro-SSan. You could’ve gotten sssseriously hurt!”
Kotaro stands up he smiles at Hajime.
“Thanks Hajime-San. I’m glad to have a friend like you.” He said.
“It wasss nothing really! All I did wasss help you up.”
Kotaro chuckles and let out a sigh.
“It wasn’t just that. You always have me and everyone’s backs when we need them. You’re kind, intelligent and pure of heart. You are really one of a kind, Hajime-San.”
Hajime didn’t know what to say,
“Heh..Thank you, Taro-San.”
“Woah.”
Kotaro looked at the street clock and sighed
“I have to get going, I don’t want my mother to worry about me, I’ll see you later Hajime?”
“Sssure, I better go back home too.”
Hajime and Kotaro waved at eachother as they go separate ways, Hajime goes back home to his house, he goes in and his mom was making dinner. His mother, Ayame was pregnant with his sister.
“Hi, Mom.” He said, walking in.
“Hi, honey, how was your day with you’re friends?” His mom asked.
“It was good, when’s dinner gonna be ready?”
“It’ll be ready soon, why don’t you spend some time with your brothers for now?”
“Oh ok, I will….also..uhm..when’s dad going to be home..?” Hajime said, slightly scared.
“Well..he’s usually home around this time…usually later…
Why don’t you go play with your brothers?”
“Ok.”
Hajime went to his room to meet his brothers, at the time, Hajime, Kosuke and Kenji shared a room. The room was small, but it sufficed. Kenji was playing toys and Kosuke was studying.
“Hi hi!” Kenji said.
“How was your day?” Asked Kosuke.
“It was ok..” Hajime replied, “Kosuke..do you think mom and dad arguing is gonna affect the baby?”
“It might..but hopefully it doesn’t. I wouldn’t want her to be affected by this .”
They hear a slam at the door and immediately close the door to their room.
Their father walks into the house, nearly stumbling and falling on the floor.
“Hi, darling..how was work.?” Ayame asked,
He looks at her, “….awful”
He takes a look around the place, in a grimace, he looks at the house and he looks at her, he sees that she still hasn’t prepared dinner.
“You’re just now making dinner? In this filthy house?”
He says walking towards her, she begins to grow scared and steps back a bit.
“Well I-”
He slaps her across the face.
“What the hell were you doing all day?! Huh?!
“M-Malcom..I just..”
All three brothers are cowering in their bedroom, Hajime is covering Kenji’s ears and Kosuke has his ear up on the door, trying to listen, he hears a series of things happening, none of them good ones.
Ayame ends up on the floor, sobbing, Malcom looks down at her, squinting his eyes in anger.
“Oh. I see what this is about.”
Ayame looks up at him, “W-what?”
“You think that just because you’re pregnant, you can laze around all day..pathetic. Sometimes I wish you would’ve gotten an abortion.”
He walks over and heads out the kitchen,
“I’m going to take a shower. If there isn’t any dinner on the table by the time I get back, I swear to god you’ll be sorry.”
He walks past the boys’ bedroom, they sign in relief.
Kosuke signed for Hajime that it’s safe to uncover Kenji’s ears.
Kenji looks up at them so innocently, oblivious to the actions of his father.
“Hajime..I’m of two minds of this..I don’t want him to know about this and break his heart.. on the other hand I don’t feel right lying to him about the reality of this.”
“I-it’s fine..we’ll explain it to him some day…just not now. He’s too young.” Kosuke says, looking away from Kenji’s innocent face.

I would have to agree with Nonny that Hope and Jay’s relationship at first seemed too perfect and idk I wasn’t a huge fan at first either just because it seemed too…simple? There weren’t any complex moments. Like they didn’t really take time to be friends and get to know each other and all that and it was just boom boom boom. HOWEVER, I remember us having a huge discussion about Hope deserving easy, happy, perfect, simple love after the absolute hell her parents endured to even get to the point of her being born and Jay deserved better too seeing his home live being in shambles. After that I really began to appreciate how simple and corny and beautiful their relationship really is and I truly think Jay is the best for her. Looking back I’m glad she had a smooth romance especially given our current circumstances. Would’ve been too much tragedy that she didn’t deserve. I honestly think El would’ve spiraled regardless. Maybe a lot slower had Hope still been there but he was becoming unraveled when he had her hence tight suit having the opportunity to slip in and him losing her with the b word in the first place. Hope didn’t deserve that (neither did Hani). And we see how Kenji treated Aaliyah when she tried to tell him about the baby. Again, Hope didn’t deserve that (neither did Aaliyah). I couldn’t imagine her with anyone but Jayce. Who would have given her that cute as hell absolutely perfect proposal??? Not a damn soul aside from him. He was patient and waited until she was ready for every big step they took and never lost patience with her and that allowed her to grow on her own without his influence. He let her “seeds of doubt” play out without influencing her, just being there to hear her out then when she told him on her own that she was being stupid, only then did he jump in and be like “duh and let me show you why”. I am really glad we didn’t jump the baby gun because I feel like they should have their loose ends situated so they can truly enjoy raising their child lol but I can’t wait to see how that part of their lives unfold. We’ve watched them both mature and grow together so much and I absolutely love them.
And if I can just be candid: After years of writing chaotic shit, I wanted to see that corny ass love. The belly laughs, the dad jokes, the piggy back rides at the carnival. I wrote a lot of Hope and Jayce earlier on just for me honestly (lmfaoooooooo)! I AM JUST KEEPING IT REAL Y'ALL! I wanted to see Jay hallucinate in the wrekka sto seeing Hope in lingerie while his mom came for whatever, I forget. I wanted to see if he'd wait until she turned 18. i wanted to see if she would!
Anyway....
Yes, this did come up before and I think it was when Kenji and his dick came into the story knocking over the laundry baskets at the laundromat. It was kinda split on whether Hope needed the experience or whatever or if Jay was enough. I definitely remember us asking each other if we NEED to have heartache and scars and shit to appreciate lasting love.
I think we agreed that, we don't. A textbook love is possible!

Different color lights shine all around you as your body sways like a tree being blown in the wind. Despite being absolutely drunk out of your mind, you continue to dance thoughtlessly between your two friends.
"Y/N, let's go get s'more drinks!" Phoebe beams as she grabs onto your hand. "That guy over there just said he'd buy all three of us some champagne!"
"Oh yeah? What's the catch?" Kenji smirks as he eyes up the three men standing by the bar.
"Just a dance," she shrugs. "Are you in or not?"
"You know I am," you smile as you grab her by the hand.
"Well don't leave me behind," Kenji scoffs as he wraps his arm around Phoebe's. "What're we waiting for?"
Phoebe smiles as she guides you both over to the men standing by the bar. Then, after a few short introductions that you don't even remember having two minutes later, you've got a glass of champagne in your hands while the man who purchased it has his hands on your hips and his chest against your back.
"You're so beautiful," he whispers as he leaves a few kisses down the side of your neck, leaving a chill down your spine. "How come I've never seen you around before?"
"I guess you weren't looking hard enough," you hum as you lean your head back and smile up at him.
"I'm glad I finally opened my eyes," he replies softly as he lifts his hand to your chin. He gently lifts your chin while beginning to close the gap between the two of you before you're suddenly interrupted by a tap on your shoulder. When you look in front of you, Phoebe stands with a wide grin.
"There's more champagne in the back, Y/N. Are you coming with us?" she asks.
Looking past her, you see another tall man awaiting your answer. Not to mention that Kenji's already walking off to the backroom with yet another of the three strangers.
"Of course," you smile as you take your handsome stranger by the hand.
Together, you make your way to the back of the club; a part of the building you had never been in before. Typically reserved for VIP members only, you never thought you'd even have a shot stepping foot in this room.
The VIP room is a bit brighter than the rest of the club. In here, you can see more of your surroundings despite your growing case of dry-eye. The man whose hand you're holding is wearing all black just like his two friends. A bit odd to be matching that way... Are they some kind of Men in Black team?
When your companion takes a seat in one of the plush chairs, you happily straddle your legs over him and wrap your arms around your neck. He's not a bad kisser; in fact he's better than most.
Your time with your new favorite stranger flies by. You grind down his lap, mouth open as your breathing deepens. The stranger attacks the side of your neck, biting your earlobe, and making you absolutely weak at the knees.
When the club closes, the six of you make your way to the exit together. The stranger kisses you once more before letting go of your hand and walking off.
"Where do you think they're going?" Kenji sighs as he approaches you on the left. "I mean, they're just walking off like they're going to disappear around the corner."
"Maybe they're not real," you laugh. "Maybe they're ghosts."
"I bet you they're going to fuck," he nods.
"Dammit, you're so right," you grumble as you turn to look at him. "Shit, it's getting cold out. Where's Pheebs?"
"Her beefcake stuck around," he scoffs enviously. "He's calling a Lyft for the four of us."
"Okay, well, let's go over to them," you sigh as you wrap your arm around his.
"Hey guys," Phoebe beams when she pulls away from her fling's lips long enough to see the two of you approaching her. "Ready to go home?"
"Considering your hottie's friends ditched both of us, yeah. We're ready," Kenji replies.
"Aw, I'm sorry about that," she pouts, "but I do have a surprise for you guys."
"What is it?" you ask.
"Sharing your man?" Kenji laughs.
"No," she sings. "Something else. You'll see when we get into the Lyft."
Finally, once you get into the car, Phoebe finally tells you about her little surprise. You watch curiously as her fling pulls out a small plastic bag with a white powder inside.
"No fucking way!" you gasp, nearly snatching the bag out of her hands. "Jesus, Pheebs, we've been dry for so long since my guy dropped out and moved back home. Where'd you get this?!"
"You can thank me for it," her one night stand grins smugly.
"And I will," you reply as you grab your friend's arm and hold it out straight. "Stay still, Pheebs. I'm gonna be pissed if we spill any of this."
"Okay," she giggles as you spread the white powder in a thin line across her forearm. You then grab a dollar bill from your pocket and roll it up as tightly as you can. Once you've got a good makeshift vacuum, you lean in close and inhale the powder up your nose.
"Fuck," you hum as you lean back and look up at the ceiling. "That's the shit."
When you get back on campus, Kenji goes off his separate way to get back to his dorm. You, Phoebe, and her fling, walk back together in the direction of your dorm.
"Hey, what're you gonna do while he's in the room with me?" Phoebe whispers to you without her fling hearing. "You know I've gotta pay for that coke that you snorted."
"I'll just chill in the common room down the hall. It's no big deal. Or..." you begin to trail off.
"No, Y/N, don't be a fucking idiot. Don't you dare say-"
"Maybe I'll go to Caden's room," you shrug.
"You're going to crawl back to your ex?" she groans. "Y/N, whyyyy?"
"I won't fuck him, but at least it'll give me something to do. We didn't end on terrible terms," you scoff as you try to come up with some kind of excuse.
"What the fuck are you talking about, yes you did! You wanted to continue your relationship and he wanted to fuck some bimbos from down the hall!" she whispers sternly. "Don't you dare go back there."
"Fine," you groan as you reach your dorm building. "Then I'll just go sit in the common room for a little while."
"Why don't you go see Kuroo? Isn't his dorm close to Caden's?" she then asks.
"Kuroo has the sleep schedule of a toddler. I know he's fast asleep right now," you tell her.
"Alright, fine. Well, give us an hour and then come in, okay? I'll text you when we're done, too."
"Fine, fine," you wave as you stop by the nearby sofa in the hallway. "Go have fun. I'll be here."

Kenji: You're back, but Kasumi isn't with you? Cat: Mister Nakano. Kasumi isn't coming home. She's staying with the synths up North. Kenji: What? I hired you to find her, to bring her back safely! You left her there?
- i mean, she is a grown ass adult, but i see his point. he’s not ready for his kid to leave.
Cat: I did everything I could to make sure she was safe, Kenji. She'll be fine. Kenji: You're sure? It's just... all this nonsense about her being a synth. She doesn't still think she's one of them, does she? Cat: Does it matter, Kenji? She's staying. She has people there she cares about. Kenji: So Rei was right. Kasumi needed to make her own life. Away from us. I guess I... just didn't want to believe she had grown up. That she was going to leave me.
- ...oh, motherfuck. there’s a link to Shaun here. how i didn’t want to believe he’d genuinely become the villain, the head of the Institute with no hope of me talking him out of it. i guess that might be the intended lesson here - kids make their own decisions, but they’re not the only ones who have to live with them.
Kenji: There's one last thing you and I need to discuss. Your reward. My daughter might not be coming home, but at least she's safe.
- dude, no. don’t reward me for what i just did. don’t.
Kenji: We don't have much to offer, but my father traveled the Commonwealth. He had quite a collection before he died. I buried it all near the house. I'm not the explorer he was. I don't need them. I think they would be better with you.
- i can't take his reward. between DiMA, Kasumi, those poor unpleasant idiots stuck in the Vault forever... i left the Island cleaner than i found it, but i sure as hell got dirtier in the process. i don't deserve praise for a job half done and messily too.
Cat: You don't need to do that. You keep your father's collection for your family. Kenji: Thank you. Perhaps we'll need it someday. God knows plenty has happened to us already... Now, if you'll excuse me, it's... been a long day.
- you’re telling me.
Rei: I'm glad my daughter has found a place where she can make her future. Thank you for making sure she's safe.
- these guys’ll be fine. and hey, they’ve got their boat back. it’s not like they can’t visit.
Nick: In this line of work, you have to expect the unexpected. Still, I've got to admit, I've never had a case quite like Kasumi's. Cat: Really? Never? Nick: Well, there was that time I got hired by someone who'd been frozen in a Vault for 200 years. That one's been a doozy so far... I wonder how Kasumi is gonna do up in Acadia? That place has some big ideals in a world of cruel realism.
- which is exactly why we’re gonna help them out. the Railroad needs someplace it can send synths for safety, and Acadia needs resources and aid. now that we’ve all found each other, we can stand together and make each other stronger.
Nick: Well, the case is closed. Sometimes that's all you can really say.
- :(
- fast traveled back to Nick's office
Ellie: You're back. How'd everything go with the Nakano case? Cat: I tracked Kenji's daughter to a synth refuge up north near Far Harbor. She's made a life there. She ended up deciding to stay. Ellie: I can relate. I left home pretty young, and look at the low-lifes I've ended up with... Thanks for coming in for this one. I knew something good was happening when you and Nick started working together. Don't be a stranger, gumshoe. Nick: If I didn't know better, I'd say you're giving our friend here all the credit... Ellie: Just keeping you on your toes, Nick.
- and Nick’s not alone either. he’ll be alright. i hope.

「 @universestreasures | Yuri Usui」 issued a challenge:
The holidays were what Yuri had been looking forward to for so long now. Not only due to the festivities that always happened during this time of year, but also because it would allow enough time for Koutei to return home for a few weeks. She had desperately missed him, and decided to throw a little holiday party to celebrate his return.
She and her brother had taken the liberty to decorate the whole apartment themselves, and it looked like a whole winter wonderland. Yuri was quite good with crafts, if she did say so herself. She hoped Koutei would appreciate the little snowmen themed around their Dimension Police units.
Yuri then approached him, offering him a small box. Inside of it would be a silver bracelet, one meant to match the necklace she had given him when they had one their first national championship. It matched one she wore on her arm, a way to connect the two of them together even while they'd be apart.
"Merry Christmas and welcome home, Emperor Koutei."
Tumblr media
He had been so preoccupied that he had nearly missed his flight back to Japan for the winter holidays. If it weren’t for Chris and the others of team S.I.T. Genius Kenji surely wouldn’t have made it on time. Thanks to them he felt as though his travels went mostly without issue, but perhaps that was due to Chris’ last minute assistance. But at the end of it all, he was just glad to be back. Stepping out from the landing to be greeted by Yuri and Gai was nothing short of amazing. He truly couldn’t ask for a better way to end the year, than with his beloved teammates and precious friends.
The cold weather that bit at his skin made him appreciate the warmth of the apartment as he was welcomed inside.
Tumblr media
❝ I’m home. ❞
Even if it only was for the holidays. Usually his breaks from university kept him busy still, but for once there was no film crew, no tournament and no event to partake in. For the first time since admitting into S.I.T. he feels as though he can slow down and relax. But perhaps it was the familiarity of Team Caesar that allowed for that. They were always there for him, and supported him throughout this whole lifechanging decision he had made. They even went as far as to host him during the holidays! For which he was incredibly grateful for, considering he lost track of time and found himself unable to book anything on such short notice during one of the busiest times of the year.
But he didn’t expect them to go all out on decorating, it was a pleasant surprise! He recalls all those years they’d decorate the cardshop for the holidays, but this seemed to surpass even that. He was inspecting the decorations, a huge grin on his face as his attention was caught by the little snowmen that captured the likeness of various Dimension Police units. He could spot one that even resembled Daiyusha, which easily puts a bigger smile on his face.
That was when Yuri approached, offering him the gift, which he accepts while placing his carry-on bag on the floor beside them. All of his other luggage was set to be late, which was to be expected considering the air traffic this time of year. Thankfully he had packed the gifts for his team in his carry-on. Unfortunately though that was all he packed in there along with his deck and wallet, there was no room for a spare change of clothes or toiletries once he had managed to zip it closed before the flight. But he could always hit up a nearby convenience store later, he wanted to enjoy his time with Yuri and Gai first after they went through all the trouble of picking him up and even throwing him a party in their own apartment for him.
Part of him wanted to tell her she didn’t need to get him a gift ontop of everything else she was doing, but it would be incredibly rude of him to refuse. So instead he hopes to convey his appreciation as much as possible. He’s careful in how he opens the box, keeping it in pristine shape rather than tearing it open. Inside he finds the bracelet, which he takes out and puts the box away inside one of his coat pockets. The grin never leaves his face, especially once noticing it matched the bracelet he had noticed Yuri had been wearing since he got back. He doesn’t waste anymore time and fastens the bracelet on, once secured he takes to clasping at the pendant she had also given him all those years ago. ❝ I always carry Team Caesar with me everywhere I go. Thanks to you, now I can properly represent that. Thank you, Yuri, this is an amazing gift. I’ll be sure to treasure it. ❞
Tumblr media
❝ Although... Your gift set the bar really high. I’m almost embarrassed to give you yours... ❞ He then kneels down to start rummaging through his carry-on, setting each hurriedly wrapped gift on the floor until he reaches the bottom. He had tried his best to get something for everyone from Team Caesar, Q4 and even Team Handsome. Kenji even going so far as to have gotten something for the members of Team Asteroid. But all the presents were on the small side, save for the one he was holding. Kenji had been so caught up in his daily life at S.I.T. that all he could manage to get before his flight was S.I.T. novelties he managed to get while on campus--
S.I.T. Waterbottles, S.I.T. notepads, S.I.T. pens, even an S.I.T. bumper sticker for Misaki’s uncle for his van... Poor Yuri wasn’t omitted from the selection of course, for what he passed up to her was an S.I.T. pullover, wrapped in festive wrapping paper without so much as a box to keep the paper from giving around the soft material. It really made it look last minute, which didn’t help his nerves any. He couldn’t even get one in her size, since it had been reserved in his, so it was surely going to be a few sizes too big for her. But even if it was unpractical to wear normally he at least hoped it could be used as something comfy to wear at home during these colder months.
❝ --But still... I hope you’ll accept it, so..! Merry Christmas, Yuri! ❞ -

Lady of Azuchi Ch. 16
Chapter 16
Nobunaga had gathered his inner circle together for a council. They were discussing further details Mitsuhide was finding in regards to who attempted to poison Ava. "I have tracked the poison to a port in the south." Mitsuhide said. "There have also been whisperings of movement from Tomonoura."
Nobunaga bristled at the mention of Tomonoura. "Do you believe that defanged shogun has something to do with this?" He asked.
"I can't say for certain, my lord, but it is suspicious that there is increased activity around his exiled home at this same time." Mitsuhide answered.
"Hideyoshi, do you still have that contact in the south? The one you used to negotiate with the Mouri?" Nobunaga asked.
Hideyoshi nodded. "Yes, I can reach out to him."
Nobunaga nodded. "See that you do. Perhaps he will have contacts that will be able to help us track the assassin better."
The council went on for a while longer, the warlords discussing other matters before Nobunaga was dismissing everyone. He called out to Masamune before the man left. "Masamune."
"You need something?" Masamune asked.
"Yes, I have an important matter…and you are the only one I can entrust with it." Nobunaga replied.
"Do I get the vanguard for the next battle?" Masamune asked, intrigued.
"No, this is far more important." Nobunaga answered. "Ava's sister will be leaving and returning home in a few months. She plans to spend that time trying to convince Ava to come back with her."
Masamune blinked in surprise. "You can't tell me you're actually worried that the lass might leave? I'm pretty sure there's nothing that could get her to leave your side."
"Still, I can't take any chances." Nobunaga replied. "I need you to help keep Suki distracted…perhaps show her around and show her what makes life here good."
Masamune grinned. "I think I can do that. Though I was hoping for a fight, this just might be even more fun."
Ava and Suki…
I was walking through the castle town, Suki, Asuna, and my handful of guards (including Hideyoshi) with me. It was the first time we had ventured out since the attempted poisoning…and Suki’s arrival. But it was something that needed to be done. Plus, I had some deliveries to make as well as a need to stock up on some new fabrics for myself and the castle seamstresses.
We made our way to a local inn that a visiting daimyo was staying in. I presented him with his new haori and the kimono he had ordered for his wife. They were excited over my work and quite pleased with their commissions. His wife couldn’t stop going on about how beautiful her new kimono was.
Afterwards, we made our way to my favorite fabric merchant. He greeted me with a smile. “Lady Ava, it is wonderful to see you again.” Kenji, the merchant greeted me.
I smiled. “It’s good to see you, too.”
“I am glad you came, I just got in this new fabric that I think you would like very much, my lady.” He said. “When I got it in, I set it aside knowing you would probably love it.” He was then disappearing in the back and coming back out with three bolts of fabric.
I walked closer and looked at the beautiful dyes. They were techniques, that in my time were lost to time. I had only seen scraps of these types of fabric in museums and no one could figure out how to replicate this. “Oh my! Oh, this is exquisite!” I gushed, as I ran my hands over the delicate patterns. My mind was already coming up with ideas for clothing for these gorgeous pieces of fabric.
Kenji smiled. “I am glad to see that you like it.”
“Oh, I adore it.” I replied. “I’ll take all of these.”
Kenji smiled. “I will get these packaged up for you.”
Once we had made the purchase, Hideyoshi was taking it. “You know I can carry that.” I told him.
“You’re already carrying enough.” Hideyoshi replied, gesturing to my swollen belly. “Besides, I am here to protect you. That includes keeping you from overworking yourself…which you tend to do.”
I sighed, but then happened to catch my sister’s face. “What?” I asked her.
“Just thinking I was surprised by how well Hideyoshi here knows you.” She answered.
“It is a theme amongst all of the warlords.” Asuna told Suki. “Everyone very much keeps an eye on La…Ava and will do what they can to keep her from overworking herself.”
“What? Now all of you are ganging up on me?” I asked. “You know, I was missing you Suki, but I’m starting to not be so happy to see you.”
“Oh, you know you love me.” Suki replied, pulling me into a hug.
“Only because I have to.” I teased.
She then mussed my hair and I swatted her hands away.
It was then that my stomach was letting out a growl. “I think it might be time to take a snack break.” I said, sheepishly.
We were all then making our way to one of my favorite tea houses. I sat on one of the benches with Suki and my guards as Asuna and Hideyoshi went to grab some tea and snacks for us. “So, what do you think so far?” I asked Suki.
“Well…the townspeople do seem to like you for sure…and I saw the way your face lit up at that fabric.” She admitted. “Still think the better medical care and you know; no threat of death and relative peace would be reason enough for you to want to come back home with me though.”
“But I am happy here.” I replied. “Home doesn’t have Nobunaga or he direct client relations I have with my customers.”
“That daimyo and his wife did seem happy with those pieces you did for them.” Suki admitted. “But you know, what’s more important? Your work or the safety of you and your unborn baby?”
“I can have both.” I told her.
It was then that Asuna and Hideyoshi were returning, carrying the tea and some mochi. We were all settling in to enjoy the sweet treats, when Masamune suddenly appeared. “Ah, there you are.” He said, grinning at us all.
“Were you looking for us?” Hideyoshi asked.
“Just the lasses.” Masamune answered. “Of course, with all of the guards around you’re hard to miss.”
“Were you needing something, Masamune?” I asked.
“Just wanted to head out for a bit and realized I needed some company.” He answered. That one blue eye then came to rest on my sister. “Pretty sure Nobunaga would have an issue if I took Ava as my company, so I think you’ll have to do lass.”
Suki actually looked a bit nervous. “Uhm, excuse me?”
Masamune was then reaching for Suki, taking her by the hand. “Come on and let me show you a good time.”
“But I was spending time with my sister.” Suki protested.
“Yeah, Masamune…and maybe you know ask before just taking her.” I added.
“Masamune…” Hideyoshi managed to get out, his scold face on, but then Masamune was already dragging Suki away. Hideyoshi sighed. He was then standing up, ready to go after them, when a deep commanding voice spoke up.
“Hideyoshi, leave them be.”
We all turned to see Nobunaga had shown up. He was walking towards us.
Hideyoshi looked up at him confused. “My lord?”
“Masamune will do as he pleases, but Suki will be safe with him.” He said. He was then coming over to sit beside me, taking my hand and lacing our fingers together. The look in his eyes gentled as his gaze settled on me.
I smiled up at him. “Well, yeah Masamune wouldn’t let anything happen to her…of course depending on what they do, I could see him being the reason something happens to her.” I said, thinking of all the shenanigans Masamune was known for.
Nobunaga chuckled. He then looked towards Hideyoshi and my guards. “I am here now, you are all dismissed.” He informed them.
“Yes…my lord.” Hideyoshi replied. “We will put your fabric purchases in your sewing room, Ava.”
“You don’t have to do that.” I countered.
“Ava, just let them handle it.” Nobunaga told me. “It is not often we get to spend time alone together in town like this.”
“Well…when you put it like that.” I agreed.
Hideyoshi, Asuna, and the guards were then leaving Nobunaga and I alone. Nobunaga brought our joined hands to his lips, placing a kiss on the back of mine. “I knew you would see things my way.” He said, wearing that smug grin I loved so much.
It was then that the pieces were falling together. “You…you put Masamune up to taking Suki out?”
“How else am I to get alone time with my wife?” He asked. “Suki has been here for a week and she has joined us for dinner every night.”
I smiled as I looked at Nobunaga. He looked so cute when he was sulking. “Well, she is only here for a limited time.” I told him. “And how else is she supposed to get to know you?”
“Is that to say you haven’t been missing me as much as I have you?” Nobunaga asked.
“Of course not!” I exclaimed. “It has been a while since we’ve been able to just relax on a date like this.”
Nobunaga smiled at me. “That is better.”
I was leaning my head over on his shoulder and then reaching over to pick up a bite of mochi. “So, what should we do on this date?” I asked.
Nobunaga smiled and I felt his lips brush the top of my head. “Whatever you wish.” He answered.
“You really know how to spoil a girl, Nobunaga.” I told him, turning my head so that I could look at him.
Nobunaga reached a hand up, his thumb brushing some flour from my lower lip. His fingers were then sliding beneath my chin and tilting my head back farther so he could lean in and place a gentle kiss on my lips. “I am happy so long as I am with you.” He told me.
I smiled, warming inside at his words. “Good thing I feel the same way about being with you, Nobunaga.”

𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮: Somin realizes that he wants him and only him. 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: Choi Somin || Somin ; Kang Yoonjoon || Joon ; Oh Kenji/Oh Kangmin || Kangmin 𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣(𝙨): Kim Dongu || Dongu (@hiraeth-hera) 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜(𝙨): it's just two guys making out; and grammar and bad writing too lmao i can't write
Tumblr media
Somin looked around at the fans crowded in front of him. F3VER was out at a fan meeting again, and as much as Somin loved meeting his fans and talking to them, he much rather be with his friends right now. Especially Kim Dongu.
Ever since Dongu and him have become close friends again, Somin can't seem to stop thinking about him. He always missed hanging out with Dongu when he was away with his members or out on tour. He tired to call him as much as possible, but it wasn't the same. He wanted to see his friend in person. It was much better to see his pretty face in person anyways.
"Somin..?" Kangmin asked beside him. Somin turned to the younger boy. "Are you okay? You seem dazed today."
Somin smiled, "Awh, are you worried about me, Kangie?" He giggles. Kangmin smiled slightly.
"Well, I was...but now that you're joking around, I can tell you're fine," He said. Somin nodded slightly.
"Yeah, I just wanna go home," Somin bluntly replied. Kangmin laughed slightly.
"I think we all do...but I'm glad we get to see the fans again," The younger one said. Somin shrugged and looked over at Joon when he heard his name being called.
"Are you guys done flirting with each other now?" Joon teased once he gained the younger members' attention. Kangmin laughed and Somin shook his head.
"Shut up," Somin laughed slightly.
"Make me," Joon started. "How dare you talk to me like that-"
Somin giggled and walked over to Joon before he could finish his sentence, leaning over to his face as if he was about to kiss him. Joon quickly pulled away as the crowd of fans screamed. Somin laughed lightly at his reaction, but something felt different.
"Yah, don't do that here Somin!" Moon said, tugging Somin's arm away from Joon. He smiled slightly, but he felt bothered.
He always jokingly flirted with his members, especially with Joon (who often flirted with him back as well), but today, it just didn't seem right. Somin went back to his spot by Kangmin, but the burden of being bothered never left his shoulders. He didn't even know the reason of why he felt this way, which even bothered him more.
Why does it feel weird when I do it with my members now...? This feels...different...
Tumblr media
After the fan meeting, Somin immediately texted Dongu, wanting to meet up as fast as possible. He couldn't wait to see him anymore. He got a reply not long after he sent his message, which made his smile grow. The two of them would meet up at their favorite café spot to hang out once Dongu was done with his schedule. Excited, Somin quickly got ready, even if Dongu had said he wouldn't be finished with his schedules for another half hour. Joon looked down at him from the top bunk of the bunk bed they shared.
"You seem ecstatic," The older boy said. "What's the special occasion you seem so happy for?"
Somin looked up at him and replied, "None of your business." He hummed happily and looked at his phone at the time. "I should just go now and wait for him there.." He mumbled to himself and skipped out of his room. He couldn't wait any longer to see Dongu.
Tumblr media
About an hour later, Dongu finally arrived, going to sit at the table in front of Somin. Somin smiled happily, his eyes sparkling as he stared at the younger boy in front of him. At this point, Somin was just shamelessly admiring Dongu. After all, Somin found him adorable that he just couldn't help himself. However, Dongu seemed to notice Somin staring at him.
"What are you looking at..?"
"My future boyfriend~" Somin replied jokingly. Dongu gave him and shook his head slightly, as he was already used to Somin's flirt attempts. Somin smiled at him, but his cheeks were a slight tint of red at calling him his "future boyfriend".
"You know Dongu-ssi..." He started. "You're really cute...I really want to kiss youu~"
Only this time...I might really want to...
Dongu laughed lightly, causing Somin to smile slightly. Of course, Dongu had thought that Somin was joking again. He always said the same things to Dongu every time the hung out. But Somin felt the urge to actually show him that he meant it.
As the younger boy started to speak, Somin took the opportunity to reach out and cup Dongu's cheeks, leaning into him until their lips touched.
'I want him....' Somin thought. 'And only him...'

More Than You Know \\ soukoku
Chapter VI: Mirrorverse
POV: Chuuya
(1,186 words)
(A/N: sorry the wait has been so long)
I don’t sleep, afraid I’ll have that Damn dream again.
Kouyou says the funeral is on Sunday. I don’t want to go, but I feel like I should. I owe it to Akiko at the very least for being rude. And, hey, maybe if I go I won’t feel this stupid nagging guilt anymore.
-
When the sun rises, I’m so sleep deprived that I’m tempted to ask Kouyou if I can stay home today, but Kouyou might make something more out of that than I want to deal with, so I’ll go.
I take a shower to wash away the weirdness, and I catch myself expecting the soap suds to be red.
-
I throw on my uniform, and head out the door. As I bike to school I wonder who’ll take his spot at the top. Maybe I’ll actually get better grades without him as a distraction. I will, because if any should have his spot it should be me.
When the bell rings I find myself scanning the courtyard for Mori, just to make sure he isn’t going to come and bother me. But then it comes back to me, the feelings like a static shock, quick. Oh yeah, he’s dead.
I hurry into the main building for English.
-
It should be relaxing, him not being here to bother me, but I keep wondering when he’s going to show up and insult me, what corner he’s going to pop out from behind. It makes me anxious, having these thoughts, knowing they’ll never come true but still having them. Nobody is talking about it. Maybe they think he’s sick. Maybe they don’t pay attention. Everyone knew of him, but how many people really knew him?
After all, despite his family's status, he never had a large group of friends. In fact I never saw him hanging out with anybody, not at lunch, come to think of it, he was never even in the cafeteria, and I never saw him in the quad either. I think I saw him leaving the library once, but never again, even when I was studying there everyday for finals last year.
The bell rings and I haven’t heard a single thing Professor Fitzgeral said. I’m sure this will stop after the funeral, after that my brain will surely get it that he’s well and truly dead, gone forever. I suddenly want to kick something, why can’t I be normal about this, I didn’t even know him. It’s not like I miss him, it's just strange not having him annoying me is all.
— Tuesday —
Still nothing. I don’t have that dream though, so that’s good.
— Wednesday —
I hear someone whispering his name in the lunch line and I turn slightly around pretending to look at the menu board. It’s that blond boy with glasses, Kumiya, and two younger students, probably 14 or so.
“You’re Mori-senpai’s friend, right? Do you think he’s okay? I called him yesterday when he didn’t show up for our tutoring session, but he didn’t answer. Neither Atsushi nor Kenji have heard from him either. Naomi and I tried to visit him, in case he was sick but his sister sent us away. She’s scary.” The younger boy says, sounding worried.
“I don’t know. I didn’t know him well, we were in the tutoring club together, but we never talked. If you’re looking for a tutor until he comes back, I’d be glad to help.” The older boy, says.
“Thank you, Kunikida-senpai.”
“You’re welcome, I’m sure he’s fine, he’s like a cockroach, we won’t get rid of him that easily. However, if you’re really worried, why don’t you ask Nakahara-san, they talk a lot. Or school counsellor Ango-san.”
What? Kunikida’s words make me spin around, accidently smacking him with my thankfully empty tray. He stumbles.
“Oh it’s you . . .” he trails off, a little shocked.
“Why do you think I know Mori? We’re not friends.”
His eyes widen and he steps back, intimidated by my sudden aggression. “Well, I- Look, Mori keeps to himself, he doesn't talk to many people, so if he interacts with you, I figured it means something, I was just trying to help the Tanizakis out . . . but I see I was wrong.”
“Yeah, you were, it doesn't mean anything.”
I should tell them he’s dead, but for some reason I can’t.  All I can think about is what his final moments in that bathtub must have been like.
What was he thinking about? Why did he kill himself? He had absolutely no reason too, he had an amazing life, a perfect life even. Rich and well known, with good brains, not a bad face either. What more could anyone want?
I bet that Mori-san told the school he transferred Osamu somewhere else. Is he just being private or is he ashamed of his son’s suicide? It’s pointless because even if the funeral is private the press always finds out these things, the papers will run an obituary and everyone will know.
I wonder what they’ll say?
What will the Tanizakis say, the kids he apparently tutored? It’s like seeing into a mirror universe, imagining Mori helping people, taking the time to actually make someone else's life easier. It doesn’t make him any less of a snob, or does it? Kind hearted or no, he was still an ass to me, but I will admit this changes something. A lot actually. If he was such a “nice” person, why the hell did he hate me so much? If he had this, something he was doing that I assume he enjoyed, and a group of kids who respected him how could he have just decided to up and die one day?
Thursday and Friday tick on uneventfully. It’s no easier to focus now than it was.
Kouyou tells me the funeral is going to have his casket open, but I don’t have to see the body if I don’t want to. I don’t answer her, too busy remembering that time he wouldn’t stop bombarding me with pick-up lines. Most were cheesy and weird. He said “You’d look great at an open casket funeral.”
– Saturday –
Kouyou is taking me to rent a suit for the funeral today. Akiko offered to lend her one of her western style dresses, but she’s going to wear the same black Kimono she wore to our parents' funeral.
-
My suit is too tight, I can barely move my arms, but I’m in between sizes so it’s the best they have.
“You look handsome, Chu.”
“Do I? Well, I feel ridiculous.”
“Chu, come on, it’s only for an hour or two. You don’t even have to stay the whole time, just please don’t make a fuss about it. You’re eighteen, not eight.”
“Yeah, it’s fine. I’ll be fine. Let’s just go home.”
“Okay, thank you.”
As we walk I don’t tell Kouyou that I want to go to the funeral, she’d just give me a lecture on closure and all that, but I think that maybe she understands it somehow, like hearing an unspoken word, because she doesn't bother me about it again.
-
I’m hesitant to fall asleep, but sleep deprivation will only make tomorrow worse, so I sink into bed anyway.

Tumblr media
For the past thirty minutes, Gojou had been staring blankly at the small hourglass on top of his grand office desk. He swiveled on his seat while his mind flew, pondering on what would have happened if he had chosen not to proceed with the wedding. Things would have been better if he didn’t have the stupid ring around his finger. What if he just ran away that day? It shouldn’t even be a question. Clearly, he wouldn’t be half as piqued at coming home if he didn’t have an irritating wife waiting for him.
Whenever he was in the office, he would forget that he was actually a married man back home. Drowned by the surge of weekly reports in operational functions, work became his temporary distraction to the new life that he had outside of their company’s skyscraper building. As much as he despised the idea of being wedded to you, he was glad to see that you weren’t immediately acting on your role as a pretentious wife. He thought that you would prepare him breakfast or pay him a visit in the office or swarm his phone with texts and calls, but your complete absence this morning was a breath of fresh air.
He knew you were probably sleeping somewhere around the penthouse, but it seemed that you really listened when he asked you to stay away when no one was around. Good to know, Gojou thought silently. He would have had more reasons to be aggravated had you started nagging at him like a real housewife.
Nevertheless, he was not expecting that his father would show up in his office straight after the meeting with the Board of Directors later past noon. There could only be very few reasons on why his Chairman of a father would even care to personally enter his office; it was either Satoru messed up an important project or he did something else that highly infuriated the old man. Regardless of what he had done, this wasn’t anything new.
Seeing his father slam the door on his secretary’s face didn’t even shock him. It was the austere look on the man’s entire visage that made the young heir rise up from his seat to stand tall and confident as the son of a Chairman and CEO should be.
“Dad.” Satoru tried to meet him halfway, taking small steps on the carpeted floor until he was greeted with a sudden hard blow that sent his face whipping to the side. The smack resulted into a busted lower lip, wiped briefly by his thumb before he looked back at his father in spite.
His father, whose electric eyes sent daggers straight to his soul, did not hesitate to curse at his own son. “You son of a bitch! Do you want to explain why your wife went back to their mansion last night?”
Satoru wasn’t even aware until now. When he asked you to sleep on the couch last night, he didn’t think that you would be running back to your family’s mansion like a crybaby. He woke up today and left for work thinking that you were just somewhere around the penthouse. “I didn’t know that she returned—”
“Kenji called me last night asking why Y/N came home on the night of her damn wedding!” his father revealed, narrowing his stare towards his son behind his thin-framed glasses. The man had to refrain himself from swinging a hand on his son again, but vicious was the fire in his eyes. “Just because you’re married doesn’t mean you’ve already won her heart!”
Satoru clenched his fists, but stayed silent from where he stood. He was completely powerless in front of his father, knowing that every wrong move would cost him a lot in return. “I’ll pick her up and apologize.”
Suck it in, Satoru. It’s all you can ever do.
“You better fix your shit,” the old man snarled while he fumbled with his cufflinks. “You don’t realize how valuable their family’s shares will be for this company, you ungrateful bastard! I did everything I can just to secure this marriage for you. If we lose them, consider yourself dead to me.”
His father’s words had always stung, but this one certainly took the cake. And the worst part was, Satoru couldn’t even talk back as much as he wanted to. Submission was his only option when it all boiled down to just him and his father.
Seething inwardly, he did as told. “I’ll... do what we’ve agreed on.”
A scoff then left the old man’s lips. “Sure you will. Even if you’re my only heir, I can easily let Yuuta take over instead of you. He’s not incompetent like you are.”
Not this again. Satoru was the only son, therefore, the sole heir to their conglomerate, but his asshole of a father had always made him fight for his position against his stepbrother. He was manipulated to do things out of his will just to please the man’s cruel intentions. He was a tool used to benefit the company’s insatiable greed. As an ambitious man himself, Satoru’s last resort to guarantee his role as the future CEO was not by any other means except to marry you.
So even if he was disgusted at the thought of being tied down to a girl like you, he had to stomach being a husband to a wife he didn’t love.
“Remember this, Satoru. There is no family when it comes to business.”
It was a staring contest between the father and son, the latter steaming with rage inside of him. Satoru believed that all of this wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t get in the way. If you were with someone else, marrying you would never even be his option. This was your fault. Unlike him, you got married without receiving consequences in return and Gojou was dead set in giving you hell for it.
“Take a week off from work,” the strict instruction came out of his father’s mouth, “You should spend time with her and win her heart. I’ve booked a flight for your honeymoon. Why not step it up by giving her a child?”
A child. Satoru wanted to bitterly laugh. This was not even part of the deal.
Just as his father made a quick pivot to leave, a woman stood by the door carrying piles of folders on her frail arms. This woman was the only one who managed to soften the grim expression on Satoru’s face that would have lasted for the entire day.
“Sir,” she spoke to the old man with respect, her sleek brown hair falling on her shoulders gracefully, “Mr. Nakamura’s waiting in your office.”
The Chairman raised a dismissive hand and walked out of Satoru’s office with little care, leaving his son and the receptionist staring at each other intently as though the world just stopped spinning from its axis whenever they were a few meters away from each other.
It was her who first broke the gaze, but it was him who called for her name. “Sera.”
Satoru felt like his heart would leap out of his chest at the mere sight of the woman that caused his bliss. He wanted to hug her, kiss her, tell her just how much he loved her, but there was little action to be done in a building floor full of prying ears to expose a forbidden love.
“Sera!” One of the executives impatiently demanded for her presence from a distance. “Where’s my coffee?!”
Satoru hated this. He hated how the woman that he loved was in here being treated like a servant while you were out there living comfortably without any shame in your bone.
You didn’t deserve the life that you were living. Sera did.
“Coming, Miss!” Before she could bolt out of Satoru’s office, she mouthed the words ‘talk to you soon’ and left her boyfriend alone with a hollow heart and a tortured soul.
Tumblr media
You weren’t a pushover, but neither were you confrontational.
You figured that the best way to deal with Satoru’s animosity was indeed to stay away from him. He was right. There was no way you could remain under the same roof with a man who loathed your existence and treated you like dirt. Because you were gravely hurt from the words that he uttered that night, you chose to go back to the only place where comfort was willingly given to you.
It was too late to realize that you probably shouldn’t have left the penthouse without a say, but since Satoru slammed the door on your face thinking that you were going to sleep on the couch, your instinct led you to go back to your family’s mansion at midnight with much surprise from your maids’ faces.
Regretfully, you weren’t thinking much by coming back to your old home because your father was extensively worried the next day when he greeted you with a fusillade of questions. “Why are you here?” was one of the first things he asked. “Did something happen? Is Satoru not treating you right?”
“Dad, it’s... We’re fine,” your immediate response was to cover for your husband, “I kinda just freaked out about the whole arranged wedding thing so I went back here out of panic. He didn’t even want me to leave, but I insisted. Just for tonight.”
There was relief in your father’s face when he easily bought your lies, sitting at the edge of your bed before patting your shoulder upon losing his interrogative stare. You had to try hard enough to conceal your face with a reassuring smile while he gave you a piece of advice. “I know it’s hard to adjust from this whole arrangement at first, but you’re gonna have to get used to being a wife.”
It wouldn’t be much of a problem if only your husband accepted you the way you initially thought. “I know,” you said, leaning your back on the bed’s headboard. “Why did you really get me to marry him, Dad?”
“Didn’t you always come home talking about him with your nannies back then?” he recalled, amused at the memory. “I’m not your mom so you didn’t talk about boys with me, but I heard enough to know how much you like him.”
The memory alone tugged at your heart with aching gravity. What was once a happy crush had tragically become a spiteful marriage—it wasn’t really anything to happily reminisce about. “That was before, Dad. I don’t like him that way anymore.”
How could you freely like Satoru if he was candidly brutal about how much he detested you?
While your father teasingly shrugged, he also took a moment to brush your arm with a comforting a hand. “I’ve known Satoru since he was a kid. It’s better to see you married to a man I trust, not someone who will just use you for what you have. That’s what your mom wanted for you when she was still here with us, too.”
You didn’t know how to break it to your father that he trusted the wrong person. That Satoru despised every inch of you for allowing the marriage to happen. You didn’t want to erase the smile on your father’s face with pure disappointment at the fact that the man he treated like a son just mercilessly trampled on his daughter’s heart. If anything, your dad was probably just holding onto a promise that he made with your mom even if he couldn’t outwardly admit it to you.
As infants, Satoru was only three months older from being born and you were told that your mothers would take you two to places together, pairing you since the day you were welcomed into this world. It would have been cute to think about how your mothers played matchmakers back then, but looking at it now, it never really worked.
The only reason why the marriage sounded perfect to the ears of the executives was because he was an heir and you were an heiress to your respective business empires. It was typical for one affluent family to marry their child off to another wealthy family because such elitism was common to people who were born with inherited wealth.
“Dad, if I liked someone else, would you still push me to marry Satoru?” you asked as the thought bubbled inside your head.
Your father was quick to respond. “If you can prove how much the other man likes you, then I wouldn’t insist on the marriage with Shinzo’s son.”
Truly, you never wished so hard to have found someone else before you married your now husband. It would have been best for the both of you to just continue life without each other—no fake love, no heartbreaks. Even if you had the tiniest feelings still hidden for Satoru, forcing this marriage was something you would have spared him and yourself for the best.
You didn’t know how you would be going back to the penthouse with your reluctance to be around Gojou again, but when the man appeared in your mansion to greet your father the first thing, it was needless to say that you had become a deer caught in the headlights. He came into the mansion carrying the same courteous stance that he had on the wedding reception, hiding the antagonism that he usually uncovered when the two of you were alone.
Your husband was two-faced, but you didn’t have the energy to be angry because you could understand why he would react that way. Although, you wished that he could be nicer at the very least because it wasn’t like the marriage was your decision alone.
“Satoru,” your father welcomed your husband as he entered the grand foyer. “How’s everything?”
“All good, sir.”
“Please, just call me Dad from now on.”
There was no reason for your heart to do somersaults as if the man didn’t torment you with his words last night. But there was something about his sudden presence that brought you a rush of inexplicable contentment inside. You didn’t think that he would come to visit you at all, so seeing him in your home painted a huge question mark on your face.
“I’m just here to pick her up,” stated Satoru, standing near the staircase to watch you descend the steps in silence. He was dressed in a long sleeve polo tucked in his grey slacks, looking like he had just gotten out of work as the Vice President of the Gojou Group. He approached you straight away and even made the bold move of leaning in to peck your lips. “Hey. I’m sorry about last night.”
He was acting and he wanted you to play along. With your dad watching on the side, you knew you had to be careful with your actions. “Hi,” you timidly greeted, intertwining your fingers when he held your hand. “It’s okay. I was being stubborn.”
“Are you two gonna spend the day out?” your father, clearly pleased with the interaction, sounded like he was actually encouraging you two to spend time together.
You had no idea what to say so it was Satoru who answered. “I’m taking her shopping.” He glanced at you with a small smile before he added, “We’ll be flying to Iceland in two days.”
An impressed look bathed your dad’s eyes. You, on the other hand, were dumbfounded at the information. “For your honeymoon? Wonderful place to pick.”
“It is. Can’t wait to take her there,” your husband claimed, squeezing your hand before he wrapped an arm around your waist. The sudden affection was causing whirlwinds of emotions inside of you and you just didn’t know how to deal with it. Was he actually trying? Did he realize how mean he was to you?
There was no way to know. For now, you dreaded the moment where you two would be out of anyone’s earshot because Satoru could be putting on a front. The mere thought of it devastated you.
Tumblr media
You were right.
Once you were at the backseat of the Range Rover, your husband never once looked at you again. You noticed that his personal driver, Ijichi, could feel the tension between the married couple as he played soft, jazz music to cut the uncomfortable silence that filled the vehicle.
You and Satoru sat far away from each other, almost on the edge of your seats on either side of the SUV. All you could do was to look at the window and appreciate the busy city because your husband would not talk to you and you couldn’t help but think of whether the Iceland trip was true or if he was just desperate to play the caring husband role in front of your dad.
Just as you were about to ask, you tilted your head to the side to see him already looking at you with a deadpan face. However, on the broad spectrum between happiness and anger, his countenance was leaning more towards the latter.
“Was it fun trying to provoke me or something?” he accused through gritted teeth, eyebrows creasing in vexation.
Confusion had instantly spread to your face because you weren’t sure where he was going with this. “I’m sorry?”
As the car pulled up from the traffic light, you could swear that his bright azure eyes would turn a shade darker whenever he looked at you—a very clear sign of just how much he wanted to wreck you into broken pieces.
“Cut your bullshit,” he snapped, frown forming his lips. “Didn’t you run away last night to get some sympathy? You wanted to get me in trouble as revenge. I didn’t take you for an attention seeker.”
You took umbrage from his remarks. It was difficult to understand where Satoru’s deep-seated anger was coming from because he was even going as far as accusing you of things you didn’t even do. “You’re the one who told me to stay away.”
“You always get what you want, do you?” he continued without even acknowledging your response. “Is this how you win someone’s love? You can’t even find anyone that’ll love you without asking your father to arrange your marriage. You’re pathetic—”
“You’re so hurtful!” you cut him off as his words inflicted burning ache in your chest. The pain was cutting through your flesh and piercing through your spirit to ensure your agony. You knew that you haven’t found a significant other who truly loved you for who you were, but Satoru’s way of saying it to your face was more torturous than simply rubbing salt to the wound. “M-My dad doesn’t even know you hate me and I don’t plan on telling him.”
Your voice cracked as you spoke with bile forming on your throat and tears pooling your eyes. Despite the weakness that you had showed, Satoru had no scintilla of empathy for you. He showed no consideration for your feelings and how utterly cruel he was being.
In his defense, you were the one to be blamed for everything. “You expect me to thank you?”
“No,” you replied, holding your tears back in. “I only expect you to be nicer. I get that you hate being with me, but...”
His face hardened before he scoffed. “You don’t understand what it’s like for me.”
“Then, help me understand. Help me understand without us fighting every second.” Your tone was resolute with your willingness to acknowledge the difficulties that he had been facing after being married to you. If you had your own sacrifices, he must have had more for him to act this way. Marriages didn’t always work for everyone, but it didn’t mean that you could simply not care for him. In fact, you did care for him to a significant extent because the vows that you had told him came straight from your heart. You meant it when you said that you would cherish him, be there for him, and be patient with him. All he had to do was to let you do your job.
Unfortunately, you didn’t even receive an answer.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with you and your husband going to the mall and shopping just as he told your dad. Although the tension was still high, he dragged you to different stores like it was hard labor by telling you to pick the outfit you wanted for the so-called honeymoon trip. There was no ounce of excitement in him, but he was insisting for you to just comply and get it over with, sounding like he was being forced to do all of this with you rather than it being on his own accord.
Considering your set up, this was indeed just obligatory for him. You shouldn’t forget that this marriage was arranged and never would have happened without the mutual agreement of your families. Neither of you could escape the wedding ordeal as much as you liked. It was a dead-end.
Was it unreasonable to keep whining about it? Maybe, but it was only Satoru who ever strongly detested it.
“We don’t have to do this,” you insisted, keeping up with his fast pace as he walked along the chain of boutiques that housed different luxury brands from the likes of Coco Chanel to Ermenegildo Zegna.
“Just be quick and choose whatever you want,” he impatiently commanded as you entered a luxury boutique known for its remarkable swimwear pieces. While the surprise on your face was clear, you happened to have seen one of your father’s business partners inside the boutique as you got in. You immediately saw the stretch of panic that washed over Satoru’s face before he grabbed your hand and interlaced it with his.
“Oh! If it isn’t the newlyweds,” Mrs. Suzuki merrily acknowledged, approaching you closer with an assistant following her behind. “Satoru’s taking you shopping?”
Your husband forced a grin and caressed your hand with his thumb. “Yes, Auntie. Just making sure she has everything she needs before we fly off for our honeymoon.”
The woman’s eyes gleamed with delight before she turned to you and lightly cupped your cheeks. “Well that gorgeous face should look happy, then,” she pointed out, to which you responded quickly with a smile. “Go and pick the sexiest bikini for your husband.”
You hoped that the small chuckle you let out sounded genuine. “I will, Mrs. Suzuki.”
Because of her presence, the tension between you and Satoru had greatly lessened and you might as well thank her for it. Had she not appeared, your husband never would have bothered having an arm draped and secured around your waist nor having his lips pressed on your temple all for show.
You hated it, only because you shouldn’t be having butterflies when he was acting affectionate. The caring gestures that he showed may not be as real as you believed, but you wished that everything could just stay this way—where he treated you like a real wife and you were comfortable around him like he was a real husband.
“I don’t wanna wear that,” you shyly mumbled when Satoru pointed towards a very revealing snake-skin bikini.
“Wear it for me?” You shouldn’t feel heat permeating through your cheeks when he would give you those pleading eyes. You shouldn’t get too carried away to forget what the man was like under all his façade.
Through yours and Satoru’s teasing, the salesperson was almost cooing at the sight of your sweetness as a couple. She even guided you into one of the dressing rooms while claiming that your husband was extremely handsome and that you were lucky. Handsome? You would agree. Lucky? You weren’t sure. It was hard to tell as you couldn’t weigh just how much of a wife you could act around him.
You simply couldn’t wait for the day until acting was no longer an option.
Tumblr media
There were a few things that you noticed about Satoru during that quick shopping spree. First was that he was a holder of the most prestigious credit card in the world after he paid for your items with his black card despite your insistence to pay with your own. Second, he had more bodyguards following him around than you did, but it wasn’t surprising as he was once named one of the top ten richest bachelors under 30 by Forbes Japan. You could only imagine how much he was risking his life by simply going out.
Lastly, while you were busy being assisted by the staff at one of the boutiques you went to, you saw him coming out of Tiffany & Co. with a small packaging on his hand that he later made Ijichi carry around. Out of all the stores you visited, that was the only place where he made a personal purchase and you wondered what he could have gotten. Was it for himself?
Perhaps for you? As if he would.
Somehow, returning to the penthouse didn’t feel as uninviting than the last. The both of you did your own night routine in silence—which you realized was better than arguing—and he thankfully never brought up anything about earlier’s events.
There seemed to be a lot going on inside his head and you sympathized for how pressured he already was at work. Dealing with you was another, so your mind was slowly processing the fact that you should be more understanding and patient towards him. You should see things in his point-of-view and put yourself in shoes, knowing that being married out of your will and having responsibilities sitting squarely on your shoulders would cause a man like him to be frequently hotheaded.
Because you had known Satoru before, you were aware that he wasn’t this inimical towards other people. You could see it now and you felt bad. Certainly, if things weren’t so forced, he would never treat you with ill-intent.
Patience is a virtue, you sighed in your head as you picked a pajama set from the closet, soon entering the spacious bathroom after Satoru took a quick shower before bed.
To end this long day, you indulged yourself with a warm bath and had beads of water cascading from the ceiling shower down to your entire naked body. Your strained muscles had relaxed as soon as the water came in contact with your skin, releasing the exhaustion that you’ve had for the past two days along with the steam that rose from the heated water.
It was crazy to think that two days ago, you were still a single woman, and now you were married to a man that you once have grown fond of. If you were back to your teenage self, you would consider yourself in cloud nine.
“Sleep in bed with me tonight.”
You heard the sound of the door swinging open as Satoru casually walked in amidst your soaping session. The shriek that escaped your lips as you scrambled behind the transparent glass made him roll his eyes, facing the mirror with a razor on his hand. “H-Hey, I’m still showering!” And very clearly naked as you complained.
Perhaps Satoru’s lack of interest towards you was an advantage in these instances because he genuinely didn’t give a damn at even sending a quick glance to your body. “Then shower,” he muffled a response as he started scraping his jaw with an electric razor. “You’re not even interesting to look at.”
Swallowed by your own insecurities, you showered in haste and sheathed your body with a robe before you left the bathroom to get dressed. You should get used to Satoru’s insulting words, but it surely left a sting behind.
You had chosen to keep your lips sealed by the time you two climbed in bed and he was unaware to the fast beating of your heart that came along with it. The pacing of your heartbeat was upping at an unusual speed because it just hit you that this was the first time you were sharing a bed together.
He didn’t particularly seem to take it as a big deal like you did. As husband and wife, sleeping in one bed was one of the most domestic parts of marriage, but if Satoru’s back was faced against you, you couldn’t really be excited about this night. He was creating an invisible barrier that limited what you were to him. By experience alone, having him as a husband was the most difficult challenge that you might soon give up on.
However, sad as it might be, you weren’t really one to give up on something as valuable as marriage. “Good night, Satoru.”
You heard him yawn as he settled under the duvet, but you’ve fallen asleep receiving not even the bare minimum in return.

FLASHBACK — Gojou’s Office
Satoru wasn’t ashamed of the fact that he would stay past office hours until everyone had left the floor just so he could be alone with her. He wasn’t ashamed of how desperate he was at having her on top of his desk as he shoved his hardened member inside her core, hips snapping against hers to fulfill himself of the ecstasy that he needed after a stressful day.
He wasn’t ashamed of her. Never was she ashamed of her, of Sera, his secret girlfriend whose existence had carved a special place in the depths of his heart.
Regardless of her social class, he never truly loved anyone the way he loved her. A woman working as the top floor’s receptionist may not be an ideal wife for the elitists that nested in this company, but he didn’t care for Sera’s lack of riches. What he cared about was the woman that made him fall in love with her smile, her wit, her admirable traits, and just about everything that she was.
“S-Satoru!” she sweetly moaned for his name with her legs spread open to see the man thrusting his shaft into her. Such a sight was enough for him to go crazy over, wanting nothing but to do this all night until they have sated themselves with the reciprocity of love and lust combined.
No other woman could top Sera in his eyes. Her mesmerizing beauty, her slender figure, her angelic face—he was a man willing to give up everything for her. Or so he believed.
“Fuck,” he cussed under his breath, simultaneous to how he gently squeezed one of her mounds. Each thrust had him going deeper and deeper into her hole, penetrating her walls until she was crying of overwhelming pleasure. “I love you, Sera.”
“I—I love you,” she whimpered through their exchange of sloppy kisses. Some of his files had fallen on the tessellated carpet, but neither of the lovers cared about anything else except to reach for their growing orgasm.
Satoru held her hips closer to his crotch and watched how his rubber-coated shaft would go in and out of her entrance, silently cussing at how warm she felt around him. All he could think of was how much he wanted Sera to stay by his side even if the world was against them. That she could remain as his even when things couldn’t turn out the way they wanted.
Sera started mewling at how rough her boyfriend was becoming as he increased his speed, jostling her body above his desk until his movements became uneven and spurts of his seed had showered through the rubber that he was wearing. His face was buried on the crook of her neck as the couple panted of heavy breaths after their lovemaking.
Satoru couldn’t think of having something like this with anyone else but her.
And yet, he was left with no choice.
“I’m getting married next week,” his voice was an octave deeper on her ear and the clenching of his heart was shared between them, except hers was twice more painful after hearing the sudden information. “I’m sorry.”
When he pulled away, he anticipated that there would be tears in her eyes that he would soon wipe. She blinked them away as she gazed at his face with glistening brown eyes that mirrored the pain inside of her. “Do you like her?”
There was no hesitance at shaking his head. “No, I just have no choice.”
He didn’t have to explain himself. Or at least, Sera didn’t want him to. All she did was to pull him for a comforting hug and have her arms around his shoulders tight enough that they could feel the vibration of each other’s heartbeats. “You should do it. It’s what they want.”
“Sera—”
“Don’t worry about me.” She pulled away only to cup his cheeks. “Do what’s best until you’re all settled.”
Between keeping her and letting her go, Satoru decided that it was best not to change anything between them. “I’ll figure something out,” he promised, “I’ll make sure that we’ll still be together in the end. No matter what happens, I’m not giving you up that easily.”
This was love, he believed. Something that you didn’t have with someone else which was why you had to ruin it for him. You were the root of his unwanted marriage.
On one hand, the contented smile on Sera’s face was what gave him felicity because nothing in this world was more important to him than her. He dreamed of their future, of him coming home to her as his wife, of her being the rightful mother of his future children. Why should two lovers be separated because of their social classes?
Satoru was her prince and she was the fairytale that distracted him from reality.

Tumblr media
Dazai Osamu:
Tumblr media
Dazai would be terrified I tell you
Like what if he does something wrong that leads them down the path he loathes :(
That’s why you reassure him alongside your beautiful baby
Let’s say you had a girl cause I think a girl would help in making dazai be more smiley and affectionate cause you know how most girls when young like affection?
That’s why
Anyways so, the first months of raising said spawn of satan are like hell for our little brunette
I believe that what would happen is that our little girl would see him as the vomiting stop
So like if you fed her and gave her to dazai to help her burp then she will take it as the cue to vomit to which made dazai think she hated him
“But y/n she keeps crying and screaming when I hold her, she must hate me; she never does anything with you.”
One fateful day however he had to take care of his lovely daughter for a whole day
Cause you had enough of the bullshit of the house and decided to go on a hangout with your friends
So let’s see how he dealt with this, she was not accepting of him AT FIRST and he was on the verge of giving up
But dazai then started humming a song and gently cradling her and swaying her in his arms
Your little girl liked his voice and held his finger while he was calming her down and smiled
That made dazai’s day a lot brighter, but he managed to contain his excitement so he doesn’t scare her
And when you came home you found them sleeping and she was in his arms clinging to his chest as strong as she can 🥺
Now cause I am not going through her whole damn childhood I am gonna talk about her first step and first word
THE FIRST STEP HAPPENED WHEN you two were chilling like the good bad parents you are on the couch
And your daughter wanted to join you people cause apparently she was put on the naughty corner due to somehow spilling pink dye in the shampoo of your husband
So like the determined baby she is, she tried crawling but found out it’s taking too long
So she tried copying how you sweeties walk
And she did :D
So when you looked to her side to check up on her, you saw her walking to you with her arms in the air and then pulled dazai by his arms and told him that she is walking
And he whipped his head SO fast you were afraid he would snap his neck
He took lots of photos and videos
Now her first word was basically a competition between you dummies
“She will say dada first!”
“No, she will say mama first!”
“kukida!”
“…”
Great job, darling
And you both lost to a handsome and respectful blonde
Chuuya Nakahara:
Tumblr media
S/N means son name btw 😚
“OH MY GOD Y/N HE LOOKS SO HANDSOME!”
chuuya sweetie we don’t scream beside a newborn child and a woman who just gave birth
I honestly think he would be g r e a t with children
Like sometimes he does take care of Q I believe and he gets along fairly well with Kenji
Who wouldn’t get along with kenji
Anyways he would be so excited and proud of the child you gave birth to
And he was basically fangirling
Chuuya and his kid will get along so well, like your baby would just beam whenever chuuya comes home
Also fight me if you think Chuuya Nakahara wouldn’t take millions and billions of photos and videos of his children
A L L OF HIS CHILDREN
Be it eldest, middle or the youngest of them
He views them as treasures that should be valued every single moment
awie, I love soft chu chu
Now onto the memories
THE FIRST STEP
Yes you are only getting the two major events, deal with it you lovely people
As i was saying
THE FIRST STEP HAPPENED WHEN YOU AND CHUUYA WERE IN A MEETING
And your kiddo missed you two :(
So what did he do?
Be a champion like his dad said
Tried his best to walk to the meeting room and he did
Did the guards stop him?
No
They just went soft and opened the door for him like he is a damn boss
And then you felt something tug at your leg and giggle
I will let you imagine how the rest of the meeting went with chuuya carrying you both excited about his kid’s first step
The first word was not something with a good aftermath for chuuya however—
“Dazai that absolutely and utterly shitty shithead!”
“Shitheath!”
“Shit”
“Shit!”
“NO STOP REPEATING AFTER ME! AT LEAST SAY DADA!”
Cue you entering
“Hey S/N!”
“Shit!”
“WHO TAUGHT YOU THAT?!”
“Dada!”
“CHUUYA NAKAHARA I AM GONNA KILL YOU!”
“Oh shit! Dada!”
Atsushi Nakajima:
Tumblr media
Nnnnnn
I believe he would have a girl
Cause he is such a girl magnet
Like kyoka and lucy
Reminds me of midoriya in that aspect
Anyways he would be so nervous to hold her but excited
Like “y/n I wanna hold her so bad but what if I drop her? :(“
He does end up holding her and crying tears of joy
What a cutie <3
Anyhow your daughter would cling to him like a koala and would only leave him when hungry or she absolutely misses you
He doesn’t wanna let go either honestly
BUT COME ON
YOU DIDNT STAY IN LABOR AND CARRIED HER FOR NINE MONTHS IN YOUR STOMACH TO END UP NOT HOLDING HER
Most of the time you would find them playing with each other
Your daughter also squishes his cheek a lot
That was a sweet introduction
Almost too sweet
Let me ruin it
So
THE FIRST STEP
The great uncle dazai had came to pay a visit to his lovely ‘nephew’ and subordinate
“Hello Atsushi and Y/N! I came to look at my beautiful and gorgeous nephew! :D”
Which brings me to the point that your daughter adores dazai with her whole heart
So she was sitting playing until she saw him and got so happy she stood up and walked towards him clumsily
The three of you malfunctioned
Dazai was so happy tho 🥺
She loves him that much? Plz that’s too much for his poor heart
He picked her up and spun her around
“AHHH SHE WALKED HER FIRST STEPS BECAUSE OF ME! YOHOOO!”
Meanwhile you and your husband are just staring at each other in confusion
Her first word was the classical mama but how and why she said it was absolutely heartwarming
So she was sitting in the lap of atsushi as he was showing her pictures of stuff so she can get to say anything
And then he reached the word queen with its picture
“And this is queen.”
“Mama!”
“Hehe, it’s a queen.”
“Mama!”
“Yeah, mama is a queen!”
“Yay!”
He was so happy cause he managed to film it and showed it to you
Let your reaction be of your choice <3

Haikyuu!(MB/Reader) Calling your Crush Pt.2
Characters: Kindaichi, Matsukawa , Aone, Tendou , and Suna
Part 1: link
Kindaichi
Tumblr media
The reunion was simple at first. Everyone talking about what happened in the past couple of years they haven't seen each other and a lot of drinking
Kindaichi was a little tipsy when Yahaba recommended the popular TikTok trend
Simply call your crush when the beat dropped on you, and maybe the liquor was talking to him but Kindaichi happily volunteered to be the first candidate
He only sobered up when the realization finally dawned on him
“W-wait I take it back. Someone else goes” Kindaichi frantically, fumbled to press the 'end call' button, only for his phone to be snatch from his grasp. A smirking Hanamaki raised it out of his reach quickly passing it to the former ace. Who in turn press the speaker button.
“Can't take it back now, turnip head. Gotta follow through on your act of confidence." I had already laughed.
"If all in all fails just say you were drunk last night," Kunimi stated, taking another swig of beer.
Nervous sweat ran down his back, drenching the back of his white button-up shirt. A few laughs arose from the group, quieting down as the person on the other side of the phone picked up. The device was shoved back to his chest, enough force to knock him into Kyotani. The blonde harshly nudged him back, too drunk to actually hit him.
Their table eerily got quiet, the rest of the bar still merrily drank away the night as the other side of the phone finally picked up the phone.
“Hello, Yu-Kun. It’s pretty late, what’s up?”
“Uh. . .ow!” Matsukawa’s elbow hit Kindaichi right in the gut.
Groaning Kindaichi stuttered out his answer, “W. . .will you go out with me?” You didn’t respond instead hung up. A deep groan came from his throat, it wasn’t until the next day you came by his flat to accept his request.
Matsukawa
Tumblr media
He and Hanamaki were both playing the game after he got off work( Hanamaki still hasn’t landed a job interview yet)
After a can of beer Matsukawa gained the courage to play the game only to lose in the end
He didn’t want to lose one of his friends, but he didn’t want to pussy out too
So he called you. He’s kind of glad he had a drink before calling, nothing better than liquid courage
He patiently waited for you to pick up it wasn’t that late yet and he did finish his shift early today and you always get off before him. This was a good time to call you since you probably be home watching Netflix or doing some random shit before bed.
The other side picked up and once he heard your voice he was surprisingly not scared to talk to you right now. Even if he is about to ask you out.
“Hi, Issei-Kun.” Your voice sounded sweeter than usual, before it turned sour, “Are you calling from work? Please don’t tell me your standing next to a dead body while you’re talking to me.” You groaned.
“Hey, (Y/n) and no I’m with a deadbeat, not a dead body, one actually accomplished something in life. The other just sits at home rotting away.” He got side kicked by Hanamaki. “I was calling you to ask if you were doing anything this weekend?” He questioned, he found himself absentmindedly holding his breath waiting for you to talk again.
“Yeah, no. I’m as free as anyone our age is with no real relationship like ever.”
A huge grin worked its way across his face, “Great because I’m taking you out this Saturday.”
“J-just the two of us or is Maki-Kun gonna be there?” If he was in the same room as you right now you probably be pouting like a child.
“Just you and me. No one else.” He confirmed.
You hummed, “Okay I’ll go as long as its just you and me.”
Aone
Tumblr media
If he was being honest he didn’t want this to be the reason he confessed to his long term crush
But, Futakuchi made him play it with a bunch of their other old teammates
Aone was glad he wasn’t the first one to call his crush. Koganegawa being the first and Sakunami being the fourth
Aone was unfortunate enough to be the fifth victim of tonight
“Your turn Takanobu.”
Kenji already knowing who he was going to call yanked his phone out of his pocket and successfully unlocked his phone.
“So, who is he going to call?” Kanji asked curiously tilting his head, his sharp eyes trained on Kenji.
“You’ll see.”
“. . .” He doesn’t want to do this.
He could hear you pick up on the other line and his heart skipped a beat, he’s never been this nervous before. The last time he was like this was back in high school when his teacher made him present his project to the whole class by himself.
“Hello, Nobu-chan.” You guys are both shy people, one of the reasons he likes you. You can understand the anxiety of talking on the phone or the worry of people not wanting to sit next to you on the train ride home.
“Hi.” He uttered.
Kenji sighed in annoyance, “I know you get anxious, but come on.” He strained his hand gestures.
“Um, Taka. Why are-”
“Do you want to go on a date tomorrow?”
You went silent for a few seconds, and those seconds felt like an eternity to him.
“I’d love to.”
Tendou
Tumblr media
Tendou lives in France since graduating, but his crush on you hasn’t died down yet
Maybe he had a small fling of hope here or there but they came up empty-handed
So, when his co-workers needed another player for their TikTok game he decided to hell with it, not like anyone waiting at home for him
He just didn’t know he had to call you after he was picked
“Hold on a second, the person I like lives in Japan and they're probably at work right now!” He exclaimed. “Time zones and whatnot.”
All eyes landed on him. Judgmental eyes.
Scratching the back of his neck before waving them with that he had to get home. Making some excuse just to get away from their stares.
As he got home did his usual routine of taking his shoes off, feeding his goldfish, and grabbing a snack from the fridge. He didn’t really hate his co-workers but sometimes they remind him of his childhood experience, being excluded from social events after work, not included when they have lunch breaks together. He knows they created a group chat together they excluded him from too, he just shrugged it off as not wanting to deal with all their late-night texts popping across his screen.
Scrolling through his laptop he abruptly got a video call from you. He was sort of in shock for a bit, usually, you call when he’s getting ready for work.
Your face came across the screen, “Hi, Satori. Did you just get off work?” Cute little face. It always reassured him that when you came near his mind could unwind. “Did you have a bad day today?”
A smile grew on his face, “No, I’m fine just tired.” He lied. “Not to be rude sweetpea, but why are calling me this early?”
“My workplace flooded so they gave everyone the week off and I thought I could talk to you before you went to bed.”
“Isn’t that nice of you.” He jested.
He spent most of the night just talking with (Y/n) ending the call after he realized how late it was. Saying goodbye he gave one last smile before hanging up.
“I’ll share my feeling next time.”
Suna
Tumblr media
Ends up being drug into playing the game after a match against MSBY Black Jackals
Komori persuaded him and Washio to play
He agreed, why not it’ll be good content on his TikTok
Setting up his phone he pressed record
Komori’s finger landed on him. Suna wasn’t all that surprising in all honestly, he was hardly putting in any effort to play. Taking his time to course out went he beat when gonna drop.
“Suna-Kun you gotta call.” Komori teased.
“You totally did that on purpose didn’t you?” Washio stated.
Rintaro just hummed before asking for Komori’s phone, who unlocked it for him. Typing out your number he pushed call and waited for you to pick up.
The line clicked and he listened to your sleepy voice on the other side. “Hello, Komori. It’s unlike you to call me so late.”
“Not Komori, Rintaro. My phone’s being used for something else.”
“Are you doing a TikTok?”
“. . .No.”
“Why’d ya pause?”
"Why can’t ya let me have nice things and let me ask you on a date next Saturday.”
He waited for a minute and another, “(Y/n)?”
You hung up.
Still got that date for next week.

my thoughts on Iki Island:
(spoilers under the cut)
I really loved this DLC! I had nothing but high hopes for this after playing the base game last year (and three more times after that), and Sucker Punch didn’t disappoint. The whole time playing it I felt like it was only adding to my love of the characters and the stories they set up in the base game, and then all the new quests and mechanics added a lot of fresh fun on top of that!
So where to even begin.
The opening scene was super cool and a neat way to introduce the new shaman enemies. And despite Yuna only actually being in one scene, it was a delight to see her again. Though since I’m playing the DLC after finishing everything, I don't love the continuity of Yuna not accompanying him, but gameplay wise I knew that wasn’t going to happen anyway, but I just love when she’s with us <3
Went for my horse straight away and I was THRILLED to see that Kaze can now kill enemies and the new charge mechanic was way more fun than I was expecting and I was having too much fun with that. After Nobu, I didn’t expect to get attached the Kaze all that much (even if he continued on into a later game) but I was quickly proved wrong with this because I now kind of separate Nobu as the more gentler of the two, that was always there for me, and while Kaze is too, I like imagining Kaze is a lot younger and his aggressive personality in this really sold that and I like that it probably eases Jin’s worries a bit to see his new horse being able to fend off attacks a bit better. Plus, with his new armor, he’s even safer <3 Really fell more in love with Kaze in this, which I didn’t expect.
Met The Eagle next and had that whole encounter. I love how right away if you pay attention, you know Yuna isn’t Yuna because she’s never once addressed Jin as ‘my lord.’ I think the only time she said it was when she was talking to both him and Shimura at the lighthouse, and it wasn’t because she wanted to. But still, even knowing something was wrong, it’s cute that Jin’s mind went to her as a safe place who he’d have no problem entrusting stories and secrets to, which was obviously the Eagle’s goal. And hearing her voice warp into the Eagle’s was creepyyyy and so good <3  (my Yuna loving ass was sad to realize that was most likely the last time we’d see her, but that’s okay) That next part of the hallucination really got you feeling for Jin, and I couldn’t help but be frustrated that he’s only a child, how was he supposed to help?!?!?
So I ignored Tenzo’s next mission and explored and pretty much completed the entire island. I got jump scared WAY too many times by her taunts, but I loved how that just added to the direness of the situation. I was obsessed with finding all the hallucinations and it just kept breaking my heart how Jin has all of this pent up guilt/heartache--with Ryuzo (he had so many I found), his father, his uncle, the Khan, Nobu :(, Masako, etc. I honestly had expected to find one regarding Taka and I’m a bit sad that I didn’t. Add those to the memories of his father and the ever-present taunting, I was going through it with Jin <3 At least you can pet the animals for him <3 The little smile he’d get every time was worth it. And the flute playing mechanic was really neat!
The first memory I got was their chat before Kazumasa’s death and honestly that got me all teary because Jin wanted so badly to hear him say he accepted him as his son, but deep down, would he have felt it? And my heart just breaks so much for Jin because as I kept going through the memories, I kept thinking how well 1) his dad sucks, but 2) both father figures kept wanting Jin to be somebody else. And it hurts that he was closer to Shimura’s way of thinking and how we even see that one time that Shimura corrects Jin, that his recitation of what honor means were his father’s words, and gets Jin to say that kindness is what honor means to him and wow. <3 <3 <3 But it hurts knowing their fate too <3 That while Shimura was more of a father to Jin than Kazumasa was, eventually, he couldn’t accept what Jin was doing in their way. Though it does hurt and make you wonder if Shimura was frightened that Jin was turning into his dad...I had that thought many times. (I loved seeing Adachi so much though omg <3 <3 <3) It was very interesting how the song Jin ends up playing for his father at the end of the memories is the ‘Jin Sakai’ theme. And then how that in turn, morphs into ‘The Way of the Ghost’ later on when in the final battle.
It hurts that Jin had Chiyoko in his life for such a short time. I’m glad he did have Yuriko at least, but all of Jin’s memories on his mother and how she emphasized just living was so prominent, and her love of animals clearly passed to him and that gentleness too. And of instruments. Such softness, and I love that he retains that even as an adult. It makes sense that he doesn’t speak of his mother as often since he has far less experiences with her vs Kazumasa or Shimura, but it was nice to see her influence within him.
Did this quest near the end of my exploration but I got the BIGGEST smile on my fave when I barged in the house to find the Ghost of Iki Island was Kenji <3 <3 <3 I love this dumbass so much and it was so nice to see a familiar face <3 Plus it let Jin have an actual full laugh when Kenji referred to them both as ‘tough guys’ XD His quests are always enjoyable for me and so I really loved that (though I was also Jin when he’s like “...you didn’t say goodbye.”) but I was happy to see him do the right thing at the end <3 THEN I got to duel the Viper because I diffused the situation instead and that was fun. Love that Jin explains his knowledge of negotiation was learned from all the years with Shimura <3 Also enjoyed spotting Kenji later in the Refuge XD
Really enjoyed all the side quests overall, loved all the animal sanctuaries, and the archery was a TON of fun! Getting the horse armor was neat, seeing Jin actively stop a Mythic retelling, though I was surprised there was no duel for that one. The one for the monkey armor was so creepy, following the lights in the cave, but so damn cinematic and that fight was incredible plus that amor is my new best friend. Seriously omg, the duels in this DLC felt so much beefier than the base game (I was playing on hard so that could be a reason, but the fights didn’t feel this tanky in the base) But that armor just made them a piece of cake if you’re good at perfect parries and perfect dodges <3 <3
Loved the banter and camaraderie between Jin and Tenzo throughout. And I really enjoyed Fune’s character as well! Did the next few story missions and I couldn’t help that sense of foreboding slipping in as I was getting more attached to these characters. Love that they had Kidafure Battlefield on the map but it isn’t till the mission that they tack on the ‘Village’, really hitting home what happened there.
Maybe I should have been, but I did not see the twist with Tenzo coming at ALL! I physically gasped when he spoke the “May your death benefit all things” to that random Mongol and I was soooo tense, like Jin listen I know he was your dad but also Tenzo spared you. Which I love in the long run how he spared the Butcher’s child only to save him later in life, and Jin could save him and the island in return <3 Because ohhhhhh boy did I get emotional when Jin stopped the Eagle from landing that blow.
But before that, HER FIGHT IS SO FUCKING COOOOOL!!!!!! SHE IS SO DAMN FAST AND SHE EASILY WIPED THE FLOOR WITH ME THE FIRST TWO TIMES. I also love her references to Khotan and that her moveset with the spear shares some similarities with him.  I tried once more in my Ghost armor (for fashion) and then I switched to the Sarugami armor and was flying through just to have that whole cutscene.
I know culture is different and obviously I can never understand that mindset, but to hear him say to Jin that they both should have died there broke my heart. What kind of a father wants his son’s death with him like that?!?!?!?! But I LOOOOOOVED ‘Honor and Ash’ playing in the background for that scene, as Jin is rejecting what his father may have thought/wanted (just like he did to Shimura with that track at the end of Act 2) and then it moved up a key just to reinforce that Jin is forgiving himself for this and letting go and again, forging his own path just as he did with his uncle. I loved that they used that piece for that pivotal moment...
...JUST TO KICK IT INTO AN EVEN HIGHER GEAR WITH JIN SAVING TENZO AND THE GHOST THEME BLARING IN WITH A KEY CHANGE TO THEN TRIUMPHANTLY FINISH OFF THE EAGLE!!!!! I WAS SO HYPED (and also hoping I wouldn’t die cuz how anti climactic would that have been?!?) but I didn’t and I really enjoyed the resolution between those two. I bowed to him after he bowed to me and I love that they even added dialogue for that if players do decide to do that <3 <3 <3
The next quest with Fune was sweet, though it felt a little odd to do after defeating the Eagle, but it was sweet nonetheless. I have to finish up some trophy stuff, I guess there’s unseen quests that I’m sure I’ve done a few of, but I have to figure out what I missed. The dueling ring was fun, though that lady was the most difficult for me.
A few things of note:
-I like that in this DLC, you really can’t tell if it’s better to kill or spare Shimura. And how there are lines that could mean slightly different things to Jin depending on what he’s done. I’ve done both and I was on a file where he spared him, but besides a hallucination mentioning the Ghost being hunted for the rest of his days, nothing else pointed to one choice or the other.
-Though a line Jin said to Sugi threw me a bit when he said something along the lines of ‘you’ll never understand how hard it is to kill your family’ and maybe he was referencing his guilt for his father, but I’m like ?????? who else did you kill Jin??? Shimura is fine in this play through XD
-Talking with her though, I like that Jin described himself as ‘someone who knows what it’s like to be hunted’ :((((((
-Tenzo also made reference to a friend of his being beheaded, but not finding the head till a week later, and asking Jin if he understands that and while the situation is different, I bet Jin’s mind went to Taka :(
-Loved the subtle storytelling elements with Jin falling into his nightmares during the fight through the Gorge and his resolve disappears each time. The second time it happened, I verbally went “oh my resolve.....oh.”
-I do think Sucker Punch made a lil mistake though because I started thinking about how in Tale 8 of Masako’s quests, I’m almost certain she mentions Jin not understanding her need for revenge or something along those lines, and she talks about Shimura hunting down Kazamasu’s killer for weeks and how Jin had his closure. But uhhhhhh obviously his killer was never found? Or they killed the wrong one? And they didn’t mention it was on Iki Island and obviously didn’t have that foresight that they’d be doing this DLC since he was killed in the snow in the base game and now it was under a wisteria tree, but besides that small thing, I had no complaints! except for always wanting more Yuna
It was so great and I felt it really complemented the base game, especially in regards to everything that Jin feels guilty and responsible for, but also puts his relationship with Shimura is so many new lights that I loooove and I need to talk about more!!! If you read this far, feel free to hmu to chat about it because my best friend who played the base game at the same time I did and screamed with me about it has not played this yet and ahhhhh!!!!!!
