#had to pay for Youtube Plus or it pauses media if you turn off the screen. why does this app even know if my phone is locked or unlocked?

Hello "use Firefox" entities. If anyone would have fun expanding upon the suggestion, my phone came with like 20 google apps and I would prefer to have 0. I'm doubt that is 100% possible because there are very few default programs. Example: no default calender or photo app--just google calendar and google photo. But good lord there are too many of them
Is there a "use Firefox" suggestion for email/calendar/map/file viewer/anything?

#i almost got a plain flip phone to avoid Advertisements but the cheapest was like....$100.... so i got a $200 smartphone and its#moderately adequate. i am still figuring out how to answer calls. you swipe to do it but if you dont swipe with a specific velocity it just#wiggles things around. im not sure how im supposed to lock my phone bc the lock button is also the “reads your fingerprint and unlocks your#phone“ button. so ill lock it and then it immediately registers my finger (which i need to use to press the button to lock it???) and then#it unlocks.#humans are not designed for this. we are crafty and clever and cunning but this is beyond my established skill#i miss my first “phone.” everything customizable. app. font. brightness. scheduled volume changes to silence my phone#during school hours. keybind any key to anything. double-press volume-down to pause audio without looking#i had a “swipe down menu” before they were default :3 i picked exactly which options i wanted in it. i remember my first#real phone had the swipe down menu. i was kinda mad because i knew the original designers and programmers hadnt been#compensated. it was open software. but its different when apple uses the programming in hundreds of billions of dollars worth of products.#gah and then they took SOME of the ideas and locked them behind subscriptions 🙄 like when youtube decided that you#had to pay for Youtube Plus or it pauses media if you turn off the screen. why does this app even know if my phone is locked or unlocked?#its annoying... i stay very far away from any work-arounds that could have consequences. so im stuck hopping#from newly-found method to the next. they vanish as soon as the wrong person discovers it and someone codes it out of existence#i love my little mp3player. no wifi. no bluetooth. no google. the few features it has require non-intuitive button pressing.#but....no ads. just music. purchased music! no subscription. it has a headphone jack. fits in my palm. the exterior isnt glass lol.#wow sorry i am raaaambling. oh well. its my post lol.#sorenhoots

something out of a disney movie
sigma chi jj x reader
Tumblr media
leading up to winter formal and a glimpse at the weekend ahead
finished school today :) kinda drunk at the moment so there’s that
(warnings: cursing, same editing as usual)
You worked on the cooler for so long after JJ asked you to his frat’s Winter Formal. From YouTube videos to Google searches to social media groups, you’d looked through it all trying to come up with ideas.
Sarah, who was working on John B’s at the same time, offered to do it with you. The two of you holed up in her apartment working together when you finally decided a proper theme. “What about the Outer Banks?” you asked Sarah.
She hummed, “Like what do you mean?”
“Stuff he likes to do that we’ve done together, surfing and fishing, some of his favorite restaurants. That kind of vibe.”
“That’s pretty personal, but I like it since you guys are actually dating.”
You smiled, excited, “Me too. Okay, let’s do this.”
-
After the cooler was solved, you realized you needed a dress. Sarah stepped in yet again to take you to a boutique she really liked. The two of you were browsing happily, a glass of champagne handed to you at the door.
Maybe that should’ve been a sign of how expensive everything in the store was going to be, but you didn’t process that until you’d pulled a few to try on and accidentally flipped a price tag over.
Choking on your sip, you exclaimed, “$250 holy fuck!”
Sarah wandered over, “What’s up?”
“This is so expensive. Dude, I’m not sure I can justify this.”
She waved your concerns away, “Don’t worry, I’ll sugar daddy you.”
Part of you, a big part of you, wanted to say no, you didn’t need charity. But you figured eventually, through coffee and food, you could pay her back.
“I-” you paused, “are you absolutely sure? I don’t want to take advantage of you.”
“I get discounts here, no worries! Pick out the dress that you love, no looking at price.”
So you did. It was really cute, and both Sarah and the lady working really hyped you up about it, of course you had to get it after that. Sarah sent JJ a picture of the color so he could match, but told him he couldn’t see it until the day of.
When he begged, she sent back its so pretty maybank. be patient
-
“Okay,” you told JJ stepping into his room, “I have the cooler outside the door with the alcohol if you want to look now.”
JJ stood up from where he was laying on the bed excitedly, “I wanna see it.”
You held your hand out and he took it, walking outside the door with him. He looked down at it and smiled. Crossing your arms in front of you after he dropped your hand to turn it around, you asked, “What do you think?”
“It’s fantastic.”
“Yeah? You like it?”
“Of course! I mean I’d like anything because it was from you and I’m a fan of everything you do.”
Your cheeks heated up, “Sap.”
“Only for you.”
“I wasn’t sure what alcohol you wanted so I grabbed some vodka and tequila. Plus some White Claw for either mixing or pre-game. Figured we could pick up some mixers on the way out.”
“Sounds great to me,” he bent down to press a kiss to your forehead, “I’m so excited for this.”
“I am too,” you told him honestly, “when do we leave?”
“Few hours. Figure it won’t be too long a drive, and we won’t have to leave super early. You got your bag in the car?”
“I do.”
“Sweet. Do you want to watch a movie?”
“Absolutely.”
JJ laid back down on the bed, giving you room to crawl in next to him and started the Grinch movie. About 30 minutes after it started, his head snapped over to face you, “How’d you get the alcohol Miss Underaged?”
“Sarah helped with that. Not sure how she did it, but I got her a list and Venmoed her my share.”
“The two of you did a lot together for this, huh?”
“Well it is a first for both of us, so of course we did.”
JJ shook his head, “Should’ve known y’all would end up decent friends.”
-
The drive to Charleston was short, and JJ led the two of you to check into your hotel room. It was a fairly basic room, and he immediately disappeared to the bathroom to start getting ready. All you had left to do was put on your dress.
“Let’s try to not be late, yeah J?”
“Too late at least. You’re never on time, hon.”
You scoffed, “Maybe this is me turning over a new leaf.”
He stuck his head out the room to give you an incredulous look, “No.”
“I’ll prove you wrong for sure.”
“Bet I’ll finish getting ready before you do even though you’re already mostly ready.”
Your jaw tightened, but you weren’t one to back down from a challenge, “Bet.”
You weren’t entirely sure how ready JJ was, only that if you wanted to be first, you needed to start getting your dress on. The one thing you had going for you was that he struggled tying a tie and he’d have to figure that out before he could be finished.
JJ stepped out of the bathroom a few minutes later, tightening his belt, and you stood up, already in your dress with a smirk on your face, “I win.”
He rolled his eyes, “Win what?”
“We bet but since we don’t normally bet money, you have to bring me drinks all night.”
“It’s my formal.”
“Yeah, it’s still your formal, but you have the added responsibility of keeping my cup full. I’d do the same for you if you were better at getting dressed.”
“Dude,” JJ shook his head, “I’ll give you this one, but I’ll get you next year.”
“Sure,” you smirked.
And then it was like JJ processed that you were in the dress because his jaw dropped and he let out a low whistle, “Damn.”
“What do you think?”
“You look,” he paused, “incredible, beautiful, stunning, all the good adjectives.”
Shaking your head, you smiled, “Thanks, J.”
“I’m gonna have the prettiest date there tonight.”
“Now that’s an exaggeration,” you told him, ears warming under the attention.
“I never exaggerate.”
-
You were both late. The party was in full swing when the two of you finally got downstairs, and JJ kept his arm around your waist tightly the whole time the two of you walked around. There was a small buffet set up that the two of you ate a little bit from, but JJ took you straight to the alcohol for your first cups.
It was loud and dark in the hotel ballroom, barely lit by candles scattered all over the room like out of some sort of Disney movie, and you couldn’t see much, but JJ found Pope and John B fairly quickly. Sarah and Pope’s date were both there, and you felt relieved, finally being with someone you knew.
“Wow,” Sarah called out when she saw you, “worth every penny.”
You did a little twirl, “Looks pretty good,” you admitted.
“Pretty,” JJ scoffed, “try very or incredibly.”
Sarah snorted, “Hype man JJ. I’m glad your tie is the right color to match.”
“Hype man?” John B interrupted, “more like simp.”
“I paid attention,” he defended, “and you fuck off.”
“This time,” you muttered. JJ playfully poked your nose, “Slandering my name there sweetheart.”
“I’d never,” you told him, placing a hand over your heart.
In lieu of an answer, JJ pulled you out on the dance floor. You smiled, recognizing his deflection tactic, but let it happen.
He twirled you around twice, and you laughed when he almost stepped on your toes.
“Careful bud,” you told him, “Trying to knock me out?”
“By stepping on your toes? No.”
“Trying to get out of dancing then?”
He smiled softly, “With you? Never.”
You couldn’t help but kiss him at his sappy words, excited for the long weekend ahead.

commission 4: slow burn/best friends/college au w/  jin
(+or: we’re best friends and you’re literally So Great and i suck at knowing what i want but anyway i’m starting to think i like you ??????? au)
note 1: For my very very sweet and understanding friend @yeuj who helped me out when I needed it most .... I hope you enjoy 🥺🥺💕!!!!!! And thank you to Micah + Clove for helping me with my questions—thank you for your thoughtfulness, insight, and love!!!!! 🌷🌷🌷
note 2: I tried to make ramen-making as unboring as possible but it really is just....water and spice. If you’re confused about eating ramen at convenience stores please search that up on Youtube, I’ve exhausted my link resource skills (except for when I want you to listen to songs.) Also, the songs I mention are titanic/the end by cehryl and Subside by Eloise. I actually listened to Sweet Night on repeat while writing this so if u wanna listen to that... ;_;
note 3: everything about this story is in medias res. I realized I had no proper beginning or conclusion and I didn’t wanna change the flow of the story by concretely adding one or the other... so if the story feels incomplete/fragmented then please understand that this was a conscious and intentional decision done on my part :,) It’s slow burn!!!! I Love you ha ha!!
Tumblr media
(i)
The library is open twenty four hours. The convenience store in the student centre is not.
“Please use your car,” you assert.
Seokjin huffs. “Then pay for my gas.”
It’s an empty threat. He’s got no business driving hard bargains when he has capital in the form of a rich CEO dad. He ignores your glaring, calmly closing his laptop, shoving it into his bag. Closing up shop after a derivative crisis you’d called him up for because he lives on campus, plus he never sleeps early. You appreciate that he gives into you so easily.
“Fine.”
So you go, searching for a convenience store that has those instant noodles you suddenly came up with a craving for this late at night. Seokjin’s used to it by now. You get things done when you want to, even if it means making a home of the pillowy chairs in the library you’d claimed for studying purposes.
The mathematical theory of chaos. You don’t want to think about it, and you click your seatbelt with a yell, throw your bag in the backseat with as much strength your anger allows for. “I hate school!”
“Please don’t scream in the car.”
“I hate it!”
Seokjin slots the key in. “Can you look up where the convenience store is?”
He tosses you his phone to unlock. You jab at the screen with more grumbling and colourful cursing, pulling up whatever Google Maps says is the nearest store open.
“Plug in the AUX cord,” Seokjin urges next. He merges into traffic, which is really only one car and the late night bus. A quiet night for your suffering.
“Can I play my—“
“Nope.” You sneer. Tapping open his playlists, you pass under orange lamp post after orange lamp post and scroll in silence before Seokjin groans. “I made a new playlist, pick that one.”
“What’s it called?”
You can see that he’s stiffened up. You don’t comment. “The one with the three heart emojis.”
Simple enough. You don’t care to sift through the songs, and the first one plays with one more indulgent tap of the screen.
Why don’t you tell her? I think you should. You know how you’re feeling, you can’t fight the truth…
Google interrupts the soft voice with the indication of the next right. Seokjin eases on the gas pedal. You watch him nod his head to the softness of the stereo. “I can’t pay for your gas.”
“I know you can’t.”
“I can pay for your ramen,” you suggest. Seokjin makes a quiet noise, like he’s amused by your generosity, or maybe he just thinks you’re dumb. You think it’s the latter.
“I don’t want you to pay for my ramen.”
“Then what do you want?”
The lamp post light striking Seokjin’s face gives way to the harsh red of the stoplight. In the stillness, he sends you a hard look. It makes you feel weirdly vulnerable, like he’s stripped you bare.
To make things worse, Seokjin says:
“Nothing you don’t want to give me.”
He doesn’t heed your confusion because he presses on the gas, looks straight ahead. You do too, and you try not to contemplate the cool brevity of his attention you suddenly want back. You push your uncertainty aside.
(He has a handsome face, you think.)
Seokjin interrupts, “So why’d you wait till now to study?”
“You know me.” Procrastination. The complete and utter mistake of underestimating the allotted time needed to get a successful grasp of concepts for your midterm. In not so convoluted terms, this class sucks ass.
“Yeah but that was—a lot of notes.”
It was. You probably pushed five weeks of material in the span of three hours. You can feel the very tips of your nervous system frying up as you pass through gas station-lit intersections. But there’s a real answer to his question, and you have the intense need to curl in on yourself in this leather seat.
“Well I would have started yesterday, but I was busy,” you counter.
“With what?”
“So you know Hyukjae from Psych?”
Seokjin pauses to listen to Google’s instructions, and immediately makes a left onto another main intersection. “Sure.”
“We went out yesterday,” you admit.
He hums a tight sound, tapping on the wheel. “Hm. How’d it go?”
It wasn’t bad. You shared butter tarts and laughed at his anecdotes and Hyukjae-from-Psych paid for your Uber home. He gave you a very weak hug before you slipped into the car. It was in that seat you’d decided you wouldn’t be sending him an I had fun! text that night.
“It was okay. Like, nice to me and stuff. But nothing…”
“…Worth revisiting.”
“Sure,” you mimic, and you wonder why he’s right.
“The guy’s okay,” he says. Almost like it’s with relief. “It’s—not to sound rude, but. Uh. I think it’s, uh—good. That you weren’t… interested.”
You think he’s gripping the steering wheel a little too tight. “Why?”
“Can’t trust guys with bad handshakes.” Seokjin chances a glance at you, and laughs at the confused scrunch of your eyebrows. “I met him during that networking conference in third year. Limp-wristed me. Like a chump.”
“Ew.” You can’t say he’s wrong. That hug Hyukjae gave you really was weak. The dude has noodles for arms. “But yeah, I guess you’re right. Wasn’t really my type.”
“Hm,” is all Seokjin comes up with. You watch him pass right through the turn Google tells him to take. “Oh shit. Sorry. I’m just. Thinking. About… limp… men.”
You snort. “What?”
“Like a man. A limp man. Hyukjae. Not me,” he clarifies fast—proudly— “just. Anyway! Back to you saying what your type was.”
“I wasn’t,” you accuse.
“Yeah well now I’m asking because I don’t wanna think about limp men. Your type, please.”
He sounds weirdly inquisitive. Demanding, almost. You chalk it up to the near-delirium of being awake past 1AM.
“I—don’t know,” you start. Somehow you feel like you’re messing something up. “He was kind, I like… kind. And soft. Sweet. You know Kim Taehyung? From Neuro? Like, almost big shoulders but not really. I like big shoulders. Yeah. Guys like Kim Taehyung-ish.”
Seokjin just hums again. There’s another song playing, and you don’t know how many you’ve rotated through in this playlist. You didn’t think it’d take this long to get to the store.
Google says it’s just two minutes away now. Seokjin says, “Cool,” and then sings along to the stereo.
You got me losing sleep over you… I usually sit still but now I can’t help but move… When I see you, I don’t know what to do…
(ii)
“Spicy or not spicy?”
“Whatever keeps my stomach lining intact,” Seokjin says.
You don’t say anything more and grab two of whatever ramen packaging isn’t scarily red. The convenience store is void of any customers, and the cashier rings you up with a very sour face for interrupting the show he’s got playing on his phone. His face shrivels up even more because all you can pay with is coins. Seokjin laughs behind you when you apologize for clattering the dimes too harshly on the counter.
“Enjoy,” the cashier announces, and he doesn’t mean it one bit.
The hot water machine at the back is a very intimidating thing next to the tiny display of cookies.  Too many buttons and knobs you don’t understand, so Seokjin takes on the chivalric role and prepares everything for you. He rips the plastic open with gentle hands. Dumps the powder with too much conviction.
You both watch the water stream hot into the noodles. “Do you like macadamia nuts in your cookies?”
“I guess,” you say.
“Wanna split a cookie?” He hands you chopsticks to stir the ramen with, gestures at the cookie display with a jut of his chin.
“Are you paying?”
“Can you imagine if I made you pay after I asked to split,” Seokjin spits at you. “Yes I’m paying.”
“Then I want chocolate chip.”
He freezes, then jabs smartly at his noodles for a tense ten seconds.
“You make me mad,” he finally answers. “Should we eat in the car?”
“The bowl is too hot to hold.”
The counter at the window it is. You’re sad that you didn’t buy pickled radish, but your coin purse has weeped all its coinage out. Seokjin leaves you as Noodle Guard, going off to pay for that bonus cookie with a crumpled five. In the next second you contemplate the evaporation of ramen soup, the cookie is duly dumped right next to you, and Seokjin takes a huge bite of what still appears to be extremely hot noodles.
He promptly chokes, and makes sputtering noises.
“Holy shit,” Seokjin cries.
You take a much, much slower bite. “You’ll be fine.”
“I thought I could be cool for you,” he cries some more.
“You don’t need to be cool for me. Who eats ramen in a cool way?”
Seokjin nods his approval, that tear of theatrics sliding down his cheekbone. He eats carefully. A noisy car roils on outside, and passes quickly outside your periphery.
“Thank you for bringing me here,” you remember to say.
“I love standing at counters and eating things hot,” Seokjin retorts. He dodges the fist you aim at his abdomen with swift ease. “It’s no problem.”
“I—“ You don’t really know why but you need to talk. “You know—you’re really, um, kind.”
Foolery. Absolute foolery that sentence was, and the cashier probably heard that foolery, and Seokjin definitely heard that absolute foolery, and he’s laughing. Like really laughing, caught with the noodles dangling from in-between his teeth. That’s all you had to say? The guy drove you out to get cup noodles out of his own volition. That’s kindness maxed out, and he deserves better than you fumbling between your teeth. Your nerves have fried up so bad, you guess.
Seokjin’s giggles dwindle down. “Thanks,” he says, smiling small.
You blame the heat of your cheeks from the heat of your soup.
Neither of you are desperate to get to that last quarter of noodles to broth ratio. The knots of your shoulders loosen with the sound of your slurping combined, and silently you are reminded of Seokjin’s warmth, standing so close to you.
The easiest path to a nice ending involves a happy belly and Seokjin driving you home with nothing more than a goodbye and a thank-you as you slam the car door shut. This is not unknown to you, because you and Hyukjae-from-Psych took that easy path yesterday.
You just don’t do this often, contemplating all the routes of romance. When is it appropriate to laugh at a joke, to wipe your mouth on the napkin? To smile and peel at your heart and grant that person access to all your inner workings? You belatedly notice that Seokjin did not bring napkins.
(The moment in the car—nothing you don’t want to give me—you want to laugh at his jokes, and smile, peel and peel and peel at your heart, but slowly. Slowly, you put your chopsticks down.)
How funny it is to come to very sound conclusions within a split second, because all you know is that it feels good, being with him like this.
Seokjin, in your quiet realization, takes it upon himself to decide the cookie-eating rights.
“Want the first bite?” He asks, propping the chopsticks horizontally on his bowl.
You nod. Desperately you try not to look at him because you might make more realizations, and you don’t think you’re ready for any more unleashed and unknown emotions. “Please.”
He gives it to you. The right side decidedly has more chocolate chips, and  it’s a very nice explosion on your tongue. So nice you groan into it. “Oh that’s really good.”
He snatches the cookie away before you can take another bite. “I get bigger bites because I paid for it.”
“That—? Uh, that’s not how sharing works.”
“Yes it does,” Seokjin argues. But he just takes as normal a bite as ever. You can’t say you don’t focus on his mouth for too long, though—
—And you immediately seize up at the thought. Horrified, you shriek: “Actually just—have the rest of it!”
He looks alarmed. “O…kay?”
“You’ve got a nice mouth,” you blurt out next.
An absolutely awful feeling settles heavy in your stomach. Because almost immediately you realize that this is a kind and soft boy with nice anecdotes that have yet to be uncovered this night (he likes telling you stories) and he’s got wider shoulders than Kim Taehyung and you’re not sharing butter tarts but you’re sharing a cookie with him.
Another realization: does Seokjin have limp arms?
He puts the cookie down. (His arm looks very strong, doing that.) “I—thanks?”
“I think I’m losing my mind,” you note.
He watches you slump over the counter. Purposefully burying your face in your elbows to muffle your betraying mouth. “It’s late,” is all he says.
“Did that make you uncomfortable?”
“Not at all.” You don’t think youre breathing. Your lungs have evaporated, like those steamy ramen noodles you just ate. Seokjin probably notices you’ve stopped moving, so he says, “Really.”
“Okay.”
“Did it—did it make you uncomfortable?”
“Not at all,” you say.
“Cool. Do you wanna go—“
You stand up straight, grab all your garbage before he finishes. You don’t look at him. “Yep, yep, please.”
(iii)
He puts the key in the ignition, and doesn’t budge.
“Somehow I feel like you wanna say something else,” Seokjin says.
You curl your hands into fists. “It’s late.”
“I’m aware.”
“I’m—I’m sorry.” You are acutely aware of how garbled you must sound. It’s starting to get on your nerves, how flimsy you’re being. “I’m not… thinking.”
“For what it’s worth, I think you’re being pretty articulate for someone with an empty brain.”
“Are you making fun of me?”
“Don’t put words in my mouth,” Seokjin sighs.
The seat squeaks where you tense up. “I don’t want to think about your mouth.”
“Do you wanna know what I think?” You nod. Jesus. You’ll just let him do the talking from now on because your tongue can’t be trusted this early in delirium, late in the hour. “I—I…”
Seokjin struggles some more, then deflates. He starts laughing.
“I… don’t drive just anyone out to convenience stores at two in the morning for ramen. You have to know that.” He clears his throat. His eyes are shiny with the harsh glare of neon signs. “I guess I just—wanna know… what you’re thinking.”
“I’m thinking…” Your lips part. Searching for words feels like a physical thing—your stomach is swimming with what feels like a billion thoughts but nothing comes up for air. “I’m thinking I—don’t want to say the wrong thing.”
Seokjin turns to look at you. “I won’t make fun,” he whispers.
“I think. I think, you look—um—really… Good. Um. R-Really… good, right now.”
“Thanks.” He looks up like he wants to say something but his eyes harden where he gazes, locking in on the dust motes of the windshield. Your lungs swell small in the quietude. “I think you really look good, too.”
If baser compliments already have you burning then you don’t know what you’d do if he tried anything more romantically complex. Some people are meant for loud love stories and grand gestures and you—all you can do is think too much and you want to say more but Seokjin understands. He understands your silence, your ineptitude.
In a fit of controlled passion, you reach over the console, grasping at his knuckles till he flips his palm right into yours.
“Feels… ”
You wait for something to come to mind. A phrase, a proper thought to give utterance to, all the failures and successes of the night. Faithfully, nothing comes.
It just feels.
And Seokjin seems to agree. He holds tight between the grooves of your fingers.
“You’re very pretty and it hurts,” he says, and he doesn’t try to meet your gaze, and one feeling comes resolute: it feels right.

How BTS would react to the reader being tall   Hyung Line
Genre: romance, fluff Disclaimer: None Word Count: 2357 A/N: Hi guys! This is the second part of the scenario I posted last week I really hope you enjoy it. Once again this scenario was requested @em-i-ay . If anyone has a request feel free to message me! Make sure to like or reblog if you like it!!
Part 1 Maknae Line
Namjoon
Tumblr media
Today was a lazy day you were currently laying on the sofa with your head on Namjoon’s lap. You were watching a movie Jungkook had recommended but overall, you were just enjoying each other’s company. It had been a while since they’ve spent this much time together due to Nam's hectic schedule. There was a romantic scene in the movie where the protagonists told each other what they loved from the other and that gave you an idea.
“Hey Nam?” you asked when he hummed as a response you replied, “what is it that you love about me?”
“Well I love all of you” he replied as he looked at you. With that, you sat up and asked again as you bat your eyelashes “Come on be a little more specific”
“Let's see where to begin,” he said as he made a thinking face “I love your smile, your sense of humor, I love how caring you are, I love your height, I lo-“ He was suddenly interrupted by you “Wait! My height? Are you sure?” you exclaimed while you voiced your confusion
“Yeah I like that you’re the same height as me why are you so shocked?” he questioned you
“I don’t know it’s just that I’ve never been the most confident with my height and I thought that guys didn’t like when girls are their height or taller,” you said as played with your hair
“yah that’s ridiculous I know lots of guys who don’t care about height” he stated with a grin. Then he got closer to you and whispered “besides, you know I love how those dresses and skirts you wear fit you” with that you got all red
It was true Namjoon loved when you wore dresses and skirts especially since, at times, they ran shorter due to your height. Sometimes you used it as revenge to make him jealous and let's just say it worked every time.
“Trust me I know,” you said with a flirty smile “you let me know every time”
“So, are you going to tell me what you love about me miss y/n?” Namjoon asked you curiously
“Nope,” you said as you focused back on the screen
“Hey, that’s not fair!!” he yelled in surprise and pausing the movie
“What? We have to keep some mystery! Come on lover boy let’s keep watching the movie” you replied while laughing at his expression.
Jin
Tumblr media
Currently, you were getting ready for a red carpet it’s going to be the first time you are appearing publicly along with your boyfriend Jin and his bandmates. You were so nervous about the event you didn’t want to make a fool of yourself or worse embarrass the boys. You were wearing a beautiful red dress with gold heels. You were quite tall for a girl I mean you were the same height as Jin and he was pretty tall. Generally, you wouldn’t wear heels when you were with him because deep down you were worried he wouldn’t like you being taller than him even though he had never done anything for you to think that way. Being stuck inside your head you hadn’t noticed a lot of time had passed.
“y/n are you almost ready?” Jin called behind you. As you turned around to look at him, he could help but to admire how beautiful you looked. “wow you look amazing I mean not that you don’t always look beautiful it’s just that-“
“Jin it’s okay I understand and thank you” you chuckled at his outburst “I mean the only thing I'm doubting is the shoes do you think they're okay? I mean I think they are too high; you know what I think I’ll change them you can't see them anyway” you rambled
“What are you talking about you look amazing and the shoes are cool too” he answered honestly as he looked at what you were wearing
“Are you okay with me being taller than you? ‘Cause I don’t know” you replied with doubt in your voice as you sat down to take them off
“What? No, I don’t mind at all what makes you think that?” he exclaimed as he looked at you “ if you feel uncomfortable in them then it's your decision but don’t take them off because of me” he stated
“I-I don’t know I'm just nervous what the media will say and I've never really worn heels when I'm with you so I didn’t know how you would react” you admitted as you looked at his reaction
“Darling who cares what the media thinks and honestly I don’t mind” he assured you “I honestly think it's even a little sexy that you’re taller than me. In the end, it's your decision but just know that I love you no matter what and I think your beautiful no matter what shoes or clothes you wear it doesn’t matter to me.” Jin revealed with a sincere smile
You truly felt so happy to hear him say those things. With those words, your insecurities washed away, and with newfound confidence, you put your shoes back on and felt as ready as ever to walk down that carpet with the love of your life.
Yoongi
Tumblr media
Yoongi and you met in an interview. You were a popular YouTuber and BigHit chose you to interview BTS. You were an ARMY so you made sure to look for good questions. The boys knew you were going to interview them, so they did a little research on you to try and see what to expect. Out of all of them, Yoongi was the most interested, in fact, through your videos he developed a little crush. When you guys met in real life that crush turned a little more real because he got to know you a little more. After filming the interview, it was time for photos, and what a coincidence you were right beside him. Something you had noticed in the pictures was how tall you looked beside him, but you didn’t really care. From that day on you and BTS became really good friends especially you and Yoongi, so good that you started dating shortly after. The video wasn’t scheduled to air until a few months after so when it was finally released along with the pictures everyone went crazy over it. One thing the fans pointed out was the height difference between you and Yoongi… yeah, it was that apparent. They even made memes which you had to admit some were funny. What you didn’t know was what Yoongi thought so, you decided to bring up the subject.
“Hey Yoongi, what do you think about what the fans are saying?” you asked him while you were in his studio lounging on the couch
“What in specific?” he said as he nodded to some beats he was working on, his eyes not leaving the screen
“Well about the height difference between us,” you said as you stood up and showed him your phone with some of the tweets
“Huh I had never really noticed,” he said and then turned back to the monitor
“What?” you exclaimed “What do you mean you never noticed? How can you just not notice?” you asked curiously really wanting to know his answer
“Well it's not that I didn’t notice that you were tall I mean we can all see that, I just never really cared to point it out or anything,” he said as he turned around to face me “As I told you, I liked you from before I even met you and when I finally did your height was the thing I noticed the least plus that doesn’t change how I feel about you. It's more of you to love” he confessed as he stood in front of me “Did you expect any different?” he asked
“Not exactly but you hadn’t brought it up and I wanted to know what you thought” you stated as hugged him “so… do you like the memes?” you asked while chuckling to yourself
“Yeah some of them are really funny,” he said he showed you his gummy smile “You know?” he asked and as you hummed he said “I’m really lucky to have you in my life”
And with that you just melted into a puddle, y/n was no more. Well, more like you melted but before that, you pulled him into a loving kiss. “Thank you Yoons, I love you”
Hoseok
Tumblr media
You and Hoseok had been dating for about three years now. You were both very happy with your relationship and even though sometimes it was hard because of his schedule he always made time for you. Once you finished college you started working for BigHit as part of the filming crew that way you got to be together more often. It was something you had both agreed on because on one part you didn’t want to invade his space and force yourself on him but at the same time, you wanted to spend more time with him. So, after many discussions, you both had agreed that you would concentrate on your jobs and afterward would spend time together or on breaks. After all, you weren’t going to spend all your time filming him you had to film the other guys and some fans too for the concerts. So, the job gave you the opportunity to have more quality time without being overbearing. Sadly, after three years of being in a secret relationship, the fans found out, and let’s just say it wasn’t the warmest welcome. Some say they felt betrayed because they felt as if BTS couldn’t trust them, others simply couldn’t get over their jealousy and hated on you, and others simply didn’t care and supported you. But that first week after the news came out was hell for you. You couldn’t even see your social media because of the influx of messages. The people who were quick to criticize was the media. They rapidly found out everything about you and your privacy was no more. For the first time, you felt a fraction of what Hoseok and the rest of the band felt at times.
You honestly didn’t pay attention to most of the hate but the thing that got to you was the comments about your height. You were tall even taller than Hobi only by an inch but still, you weren’t really insecure about it, but all the comments made you feel an insecurity you hadn’t felt in years. This had caused you to lay in your bed just staring at the ceiling contemplating life something you don’t do much so when Hobi found you like that he got worried.
“y/n, are you okay?” He asked with a concerned look in his face
“what? Oh, yeah perfectly fine!” you exclaimed as you sat up on the bed, “I thought you were coming home later today,” you said with a fake smile
“Yeah, but practice was done early so I picked up some takeout” he answered as he showed you the bag “Now really what is going on you are not fooling anyone with that smile” he stated as he sat down beside you and took your hand “What’s bothering you?”
“Well I didn’t want to worry you since I knew that eventually, I would get over it but it's just that the things the fans are saying- I don’t know- I don’t care but there’s one thing in specific that really got to my head” you confessed as you looked at his reaction. You saw how he went from a face of concern to one of understanding.
“You should have told me beforehand remember I’ve been through this a lot of times. Not only that but you should have told me because I love you and whatever you are going through I want to help no matter how stupid or serious it is whether you’ll get through it or not because we are in this together.” He said all of that with a small smile on his face. You did not know why you didn’t tell him before; he was right. “What is it that got to your head?” he finally asked
“They are saying that I’m too tall, that it's weird, that they don’t understand why someone like you would like me among some other stuff” you replied, “When I was younger I was always the tallest even taller than the boys because they hadn’t had their growth spurt and some of my classmates would tease me about it.” You started confessing as you looked over at him. He was giving you his full attention “I got insecure about it to the point where when all my friends started experimenting with heels and stuff I didn’t join in or at least not until much later. Once I got to high school, I had a sort of epiphany and got over it. I didn’t care what anyone though any more only what I thought of myself” you finished your story “Reading those comments just took me back to that place for a moment I guess”
“I’m really proud of you for getting through that and realizing that you are amazing just as you are.” As he said that he brought you closer into a hug “ I love you for all that you are your height has never bothered me and never will even if you were 7 ft tall I would still love you because the reason I love you is because of how you are inside” with that he crashed your lips together in a passionate kiss “Don’t get me wrong though your looks are a bonus and I’m a lucky guy to have a girlfriend as beautiful and sexy and smart and funny and goofy and amazing as you” he said as he kissed all over your face
“Thank you Hobi you always know what to say,” you said with a giggle as you pulled away
“You’re welcome,” he said as he stood up “Now come on let’s eat something I’m starving,” he screamed in an exaggerated way.

truth or dare | Bang Chan & Felix
Summary: finding out your best friends are cam boy. Admitting it to them they ask you to join for a game of sexual truth or dare
word count: 5.7k || Genre: poly! camboy chan, camboy Felix, blowjob, fingering, teasing, smut, love, kissing,
a/n: Inspired by this anon ask here. This was a joy to write so I really hope you enjoy. IM SO WHIPPED FOR CHAN AND FELIX. (I should have edited it more but I’m soooo burnt out sorry)
Tumblr media
Going to university was hard the studying, struggling for money, and the lack of sleep.  At least you had a bright side to this money pit hell. Bang Chan and Lee Felix your two friends.
Pressing your face against your palm you let out a sigh looking at the long list of math equations you just couldn't get. "Y/n I know it's hard, but I believe in you," you heard Chan say sitting next to you.
Currently, you and Chan were sitting outside in a shaded area for studying. Well, you were studying while Chan was making paper planes next to you. Glancing at him in jealousy you wish you could slack at a time like this. With a sigh, you whined out "I just can't get this."
"You can do this," Chan insisted moving your study material over to look at it "only oh," he paused "50 more problems to review," he trailed off gazing at the material.
"You guys are looking down," a deep voice said sitting opposite of you. Rolling your eyes to see Felix across from you.
"Just math studying she's not getting," Chan said going back to his general paper airplane.
Felix gave a small hum in understanding as he watched the two of you carefully. "Chan, we are hanging out tonight right," Felix asked pursing up his lips.
"Oh yeah boys’ night," Chan grinned lifting his hand for Felix to high five him.
"Can I come over," you asked eager hearing that. Boys night was normally 2 times a week on a Friday. The night where Chan and Felix would hang out without you more like it. Even after knowing them for a year they always refuted you going to this 'boys’ night'.
"Well," Felix trailed off gazing at you. You smirked always asking Felix since he never could deny you. You could see his brown eyes flicker to you and the blond wanting to say something.
"Sorry Y/n it's a guy thing," Chan quickly made up for Felix awkward disposition.
"You always say that," you huffed looking at Chan. "I'm one of your closest friends I mean I'm not like you and Felix, but I think I matter," you gave a fake pout.
Chan gave a gentle smile "aw look she's pouting how adorable," he hummed. You felt your stomach twist with the word 'adorable'. "You do matter but no dice sorry," he shrugged grabbing his bookbag.
"See ya Y/n," Chan said wrapping his arm around your neck for a side hug. "Guys night starts soon," he gave a wink. "Maybe one day you can join," he added.
"Yeah someday," Felix trailed off looking between you two. Felix gave you a small wave with a sheep smile "sorry Y/n guys night," he grinned giving you a small fist bump as they walked away together.
Without words, they were gone. Damn those boys you thought to yourself.
It's been hours since you've seen both of them and it was relatively frustrating. You would like to go to Chan's place for a night in. Being a college student, you were stuck in the dorm while Chan was privileged enough to have his own apartment a little way from the campus to go to.
Placing your bowl of old Chinese next to your side laptop you stretched your neck. Your roommate was always at her boyfriend’s, so it was just you at this point.
Opening your laptop, you just wanted to relax a little before you go to sleep. Looking at your phone your last text from Felix was a random meme he sent you. Smiling you quickly sent a reply to him.
The internet was dull, social media was boring and the loneliness of the night was getting to you. You were frustrated about school and your friends. Why couldn't you just come over? you thought trying figure out why didn't they want you to come.
Was it you? Did they want time away from you? Were they doing something illegal? you thought to yourself.
Without thinking you decided to play some games to get your mind off of them. They would be upfront with you if it was something about you.
Typing in an online game you sighed ready to melt away on a video game for the night. Playing the game, it got your mind off of Chan and Felix for a while. The mindlessness making you relaxed.
Pushing your headset away you saw the video game gave you a cam site pop up on the game. "what the," you hummed looking at the site.
It was bright and flashy site and it was called "Cams4you" quirking an eyebrow you looked at the site it was tasteful you must say. The layout kind of like YouTube but with streaming content. It wasn't all sexual some was asmr, talking, mukbangs.
The site was interesting your finger on your mouse looking at some of the safer cams. The asmr range was nice. Next to the live stream was a large red how many people were watching and then had a money jar where you could donate to the creator.
A large "want to see all the content sign up now," it read. Rolling your eyes, you wanted to click off but for some reason, you didn't. With a throwaway email account, you signed up for an account thankfully no credit card number required.
To your surprise, there was more content on the page. It was organized nicely with genres like cosplay, female, male all that gaze. A small smile slipped on your mouth as you clicked onto the male.
Browsing through the male streams you stopped to see an empty room in one. Wait that room looked familiar you thought to yourself. Clicking the link your finger slipped off the mousepad to see Felix in the background of the Cam.
Your Felix on a cam site. Staring at the screen clicked it watching in awe as he plopped himself down on the computer chair. He looked different the camcorder giving him a clear yet grainy vibe. His colored hair swept nicely across his forehead.
Your mind raced at reality. Lee Felix your friend was on a cam site. Then your mind processed he was at Chan's house. So that means Chan is in on this too.
Turning up the volume you heard Felix start to talk it looked like he was reading comments at this point. "Am I good," his deep voice was so different it was husky and smooth. He gave the camera a grin "I'm fine I'll probably go to sleep soon," he said nodding cutely.
Looking over at the door he gave a low whine "where is Chan at," he said. Looking down at this phone.
"I'm sorry guys no sexual stuff for me tonight I'm kind of out of it," he said looking at the camera. Your eyes went to the comments as they gave him hearts of 'it’s okay we still love you' kind of comments.
Chan came in a second later his shirt already off and it made you go completely still at seeing your friend’s bare chest. His broad shoulders gave him a large look as he sat down in the chair next to Felix.
"Did our baby girls miss me," Chan said leaning forward to look at the chan. You even noticed he had blue eye contacts in making him look positively handsome.
"Mmh a little but they still love me more," Felix flirted with the views giving them a small wink.
From there they just talked really until Felix excused himself to go to sleep in the living room. "Don't leave Felix you can sleep in my bed," Chan playfully yelled at his friend.
"No thanks I need sleep and not hearing you jerking off," Felix yelled back as he left.
It was weird seeing your friends so flirty to each other and the camera. They were naturals you thought. With another right click, you went to their channel checking it out. It was called Aussie Boys with a selfie of Felix and Chan as the icon. Most of the videos were available they did have pay to watch ones but mostly those were special event ones that were locked. Your eyes widen looking at the number of average views they get. It was a baseline 1,000 plus.
On your headset, you could hear Chan whimper for a second. The sound made your spine tingle. Looking at the video again you bit your lip watching Chan as he slowly peeled off his baggy pants.
Without question, you closed the laptop. This was too much you just learned they own a cam channel and watching Chan get off. Somewhere in your morals you just couldn't watch Chan get off.
An inner debate went off inside your mind and your stomach twist, you couldn't keep away from watching.
Opening your laptop, you refreshed the screen to see Chan lightly teasing his head. It was bright red and looked so aching. Your fingers tingled wanting to touch it.
"Ah fuck," his thick accent cussed out. Donations came flooding in as he jerked himself off. Leaning in the chair he looked eternal his blond hair so light his hand jerking himself off. You bite your lip wanting him.
You were fucked you thought to yourself.
After finding out Felix and Chan did a cam show you tried not to act differently toward them, but you saw them all. You've seen them bare, jerking off, kissing, laughing, moaning and it couldn't leave your mind.
You watched all the backlog of them on stream. They were funny and handsome had lots of donations and incredibly popular. Some streams were a teasing stream, some were mukbangs some just playing video games. People watched it because it was Bang Chan the handsome blond older Australian and his friend Felix the shy cute younger Australian.
You also noted about them they kept bringing up a third person in their stream. It struck you as weird. Slightly jealously filled you realizing they claimed she was a streamer and they knew her and wanted her to join them for a game.
In reality, you can't be jealous because they don't know you are aware of their activities. It was coming to a point you felt like you needed to tell them.
Sitting at a quiet coffee shop you sighed looking at the coffee you didn't know how to say it to them. They called you here because they wanted to have a talk.
"Hey y/n," you heard Chan say slipping into the chair on your side. He still looked amazing his blond hair swept nicely his smile bright as could be.
Felix gave you a small hey as he sat across from you. His disposition was still awkward you could tell. You gave them a warm smile back "hey guys," replied.
"I love this place," Felix hummed enjoying the privacy of the cafe.
You chatted lightly with them enjoying the moment with them. Forgetting about the whole cam thing until Chan had to bring it up.
"So, Y/n we brought you here today," Chan paused his brown eyes flickered from you to his hands. His thick hands twiddling their thumb.
"Chan, I don't think," Felix started. The dynamic was there Chan was the "leader" of this whole thing while Felix was more tentative.
"Your cam boys aren't you," you finally told them. Felix's eyes widen at your words his face slightly burned red at your words. “That’s what you wanted to tell me,” you said.
Chan smirked "And how did you find out about that," he raised an eyebrow at you. "Was our Y/n pleasuring herself to our stream," he teased.
You felt your face go red "you wish I had the cam program pop up and I clicked on it, you guys leave me every other Friday night I was bored," you declared. "I found your page and watched your streams," you said.
The tension slowly grew at your comment. You see there everything watched them do everything together. Felix choked on his drink lightly "so you saw," he blushed shyly looking at Chan.
"I did," you affirmed you saw it all of Felix his chest, his body his moans.
Chan leaned back on the chair "okay well that makes this easier now right Felix," Chan smirked looking at you and him.
"Sure," he hummed his deep voice doing things to you.
"Y/n please join us for a stream," Chan asked. Your eyes widen at the words you felt a little outer body at his words.
"Me," you asked looking between them. "So, in your new streams you were asking about me joining," you said shocked.
"So, you've been watching," Chan teased at your words.
In your mind, they were basically asking you to have sex on stream with them. "Do you want this Chan," you asked him. He gave a nod his eyes glazed with excitement. "And you Felix," you asked the other male.
Biting his lip, he gave a small "yeah," back at you.
This was odd in a good way you thought looking down at the clothing you were wearing. Chan told you to wear whatever you want. But he recommended something airy and cute for the stream. So, you decided to wear a black skirt for easy to remove and a tucked in shirt.
You marveled at the set up they had. The lights were bright giving them a good look to it, the camera was at least a 100 plus dollar one with a two-monitor set up. The camera was dead center in the room as it was angled to show you guys in the large gaming chairs and the bed nicely.
Chan was setting up the stream next to you while Felix was sitting next to you in his chair. You were sandwiched between the two of your friends.  Felix small hand played with your hand trying to comfort you.
The camera went with a red light signaling it was on. The monitor that mirrors what people were seeing showed it was showing you and Felix and Chan at the computer. "Hey guys," he hummed looking at the chat. People started to join at a rapid amount which made you assume they had alerts of the stream.
"Hello everyone," Felix deep voice hummed waving at the camera.
"Who’s the new person," Chan read the comment slowly a small smile lifted on his lips "she is our friend we were talking about," he hummed "and she's a little shy about being on camera so give her lots of encouragement," Chan spoke.
The chat did just that with lots of "hellos" and calling you "pretty". "Hey," you said waving at the chat a little stiff in front of the camera. Your heart was thudding against your ribcage eagerly with anticipation. You would be lying if you never thought about Felix or Chan in a sexual manner. They both were incredibly handsome, friendly and anyone you would love to be with them.
You all talked it out before even daring this. Chan explained and reassured you he wouldn't force you to do anything you didn't want to. Making sure you were comfortable with this new three-way relationship to move into a more sexual manner.
Felix grabbed your hand a little firmer. Gazing up at the younger male his eyes held so much eagerness in this. Before you knew it, you felt Felix capture your lips. It was a surprise, but you mellowed into the kiss.
"Felix is a little eager one," Chan hummed shifting in his seat. "I know our guest is pretty but wait for the game," Chan teased.
Breaking the kiss, you looked at Felix in shock at the kiss. It was soft and eager and everything you imagined it could be.
"Okay so today we are going to play Sexy Truth or Dare," he hummed at the camera. The comments spammed as he told them today's stream.
"Here are the cards," Chan said bringing up the cards they were black with a sexy kiss mark on them. "Are you guys ready," Chan smirked.
"Of course," you said feeling your stomach fill with excitement to finally get this started.
"And these cards are mostly truth a slight dare nothing too major yet we're saving that for later," Chan gave the camera a wink. It was shocking how good he was to the camera. His winks and looks made people pour money at him for just being him.
Your eyes widen in the list you saw a recent tip was 100 dollars from a random user they commented: "I can't wait for this". A shiver went down your spine realizing that people were actually watching you guys.
Felix glanced at you his cheeks a little red his freckles showing under the lights. While his hair held a shine to it. Your mind whirled being in-between those your good-looking friends. One who already kissed you.
Chan raised the card to Felix letting the other male take one.
Felix's eyes flickered looking between the two of you. Clearing his throat, he spoke the question "Would you rather spank someone or be spanked?" He read out. Looking at you guys and at the camera, he gave the views a smile. "Personally, I would rather be spanked," Felix said embarrassment laced his voice.
Chan gave a small giggle "Let me guess you couldn't go through with it," he poked fun at Felix.
"Felix wouldn't hurt a fly Chan," you hummed back grabbing Felix soft hand into yours. "He's our soft boy," you praised him.
Felix let out a little chuckle "I can show you how hard I can be," he raised an eyebrow at you. The subtle flirting making your body feel all fluttery inside.
Chan spoke up "Y/n take your card," lifting you the deck. Chan had this aura that made you feel so comfortable.
Taking the card, you realized it was a dare card. The dare was already pretty lewd you thought. "Blindfold yourself and try and guess who’s kissing you," you quirked an eyebrow. How situational is that?
"Did you," you started wanting to call him out for setting you with such a direct card so early.
"And look what we have here," Chan said looking at the camera picking up the blindfold for you. "Let's see if our good friend can tell us apart," Chan teased.
"Can I," he asked holding the black silk blindfold. Breathing in you gave a small nod in consent as he went over to tie it around your eyes.
"And just so she won't know me, and Chan will be on the same side so she can't tell," Felix added. You heard them both get up walking around to one side. You guessed on purpose to mix you up.
You felt a hand reach for your chin the person guiding your lips to theirs. Your mind raced as you met the person's lips. The excitement of not knowing you who were kissing made your mind whirl. Placing your lips to the person you imagined Chan or Felix kissing you making your body buzz with want. The first press of the lips was gentle testing the water kiss. Slowly as that came it was a harder kiss on your lips.
You felt a small peak of their tongue egging you to open your mouth. With ease, you did let them slip into your mouth. The kiss was hot and warm making you want more. But before you could really get into the kiss they pulled away.
Who was it? You felt like it was Chan. Felix wouldn't be so bold so early you thought. He did kiss you a second ago so maybe he was so bold.
Before you knew it, you felt a hand lifted to your chin so your lips met there's. You were stirring for more contact wanting more affection. The kiss was soft and tentative with a force you never felt before like the underline emotion was just pure want and need. Either Bang Chan or Felix didn't try for much tongue all they did was lightly lick your bottom lip in want. You felt yourself sticking your mouth out ready to open kiss him. He pulled away before you could really get into it.
The person sighed and got up as they placed themselves back into their chairs. "Y/n you can take off the blindfold," you heard Chan say. You felt on the other side must have been Felix helped you.
The light made you blink a little hard. "So, y/n who kissed you," Chan grinned.
A firm line formed on your lips as you decided. "I think the first one is," you paused he was more assertive so it must be Chan. "it was you Chan," you declared.
Chan gave a shocked expression for a second "wow that's talent," he praised.
Shifting a laugh, you nodded "Felix is a little more tentative overall," you added looking at the other handsome male.
Chan gave a flirty smile "kissing Y/n was nice right Felix," Chan asked the other boy. "I mean you did get to kiss her before me and all," he hummed.
Felix gave a small nod in understanding "her lips felt amazing," Felix said his eyes slightly looking up to remember the kiss. Being praised stirring up a good feeling in your body.
"Chan pick your card," you said reaching for the deck. Felix was busy thanking all the donors on the screen reading out the comments. One stuck in your mind "that Y/n looked perfect between the boys". The praise was almost endless, but did you look amazing between these two amazingly handsome males. Did you fit into this dynamic?
"Got a dare card," he smoothly said looking at the words. Reading it slowly he spoke "Whisper in the persons next to your ear something you've always wanted to see me do in bed," he said with a smooth accent.
"Sorry views this is for our Y/n ears only," Chan gave the camera a wink as he leaned down to your ear. His warm breath hitting your ear. "Y/n I want to see you whimper my name begging for my cock wanting it so bad yet not getting it," his smooth Aussie accent told you.
Immediately you shifted in your seat with want. "Bang Chan," you lightly gasped out covering your mouth.
Giving you a wink, he went back to the views. "Before the next round, I'll read out some comments,"
"Felix you look adorable today," Chan read the comment out. "He looks adorable all the time, to be honest, we're just lucky we get to see it."
Reading the comments, you got an understanding of the cam feel. It felt like a YouTube vide kind of. The comments were nice, donations were flooding in. You totally forgot at least 500 people were watching you kiss your best friends.
"Felix take a card," you hummed reaching for the deck and passing it to him. Giving you a firm smile he took a card.
Giving everyone an embarrassing smile "I watched hentai and I have no shame," he declared putting the card down. Your eyes widen at the confession admiring how confident he was in his answer.
Trading the cards to you, you picked one up and read it aloud. "Touch yourself for 60 seconds," you read out.
You stiffen your back at the comment. "Um is it okay if I sit on the bed," you asked.
"Anything that makes you comfortable," Felix said. Putting the card down you sat at the edge of the bed. The comments went wild with the realization sexual stuff will happen.
You looked at both of them in awkwardness as you lifted the skirt revealing your lace panties to them and the screen. Looking at yourself through the monitor you looked lewd. At that moment the whole room shifted with sexual tension.
You calmed yourself as you slowly brought your hand go down to pleasure yourself. You teased your slit drawing the wetness near. The exoticness of your two friends watching made you more aroused.
Touching yourself you were delicate and needy the tension slowly grew as you played with your clothed slit. Peeking out to see Chan with a pleased grin and Felix with a needy wanting look.
"Forget about these fucking cards," you heard Chan say in an aggressive manner as he put them down to go to the bed.
"Felix can you help out beautiful girl here," Chan hummed sitting on the bed pulling your back against his chest smoothly.
Felix did as he was instructed. Even in this situation, Chan was more of the dominant right now and you both fended to him. "Felix please," you begged spreading your legs open for him to touch you.
"We don't want her to come so early so just tease her," Chan hummed out the order. Leaning his mouth toward your neck he laid a few kisses on your neck as his hands went to your waist. His large hands met your waist as he roamed your body.
"Just relax," Chan whispered in your ear as his hands went further up to meet right below your bra. "I'm right here baby girl," his deep voice so naturally seductive making you buzz with want.
Felix slowly fingered you his gentle touch made you whimper for more. Looking down at the male he looked so focused on your slit. His fingers lightly petting you slowly only slightly entering to feel your velvety wetness. "She's so damp," Felix deep voice hummed. Spreading your fold to show the camera you off.
Chan hard manhood stood firm against your back as his hands groped your breast. He felt the fabric over them as he ran his smooth palm over them. Lifting the shirt up enough to show the stream. "I picked out her set for her," he mentioned proudly, of the black lace he bought you.
The stimulation with being in between two hot and bothered males made your body heat up. Chans fingers found your bra snapping it off in a cool manner. Letting your breast be free for him to play with.
"As much as I like it on you, I like it off a lot better," Chan uttered. His palm enveloped your breast as he played with them. "So warm in my palm," his dirty talk making you wet.
"She's so warm Chan," Felix spoke up finally as he teased you. Licking his lips, you knew he wanted to dive in and enjoy himself.
Chan one hand played with your nipple. Taking the small bud and playing with it "Oh I would love to see them filled with milk one day," he leaned down to whisper. The insinuation of breeding you made your spine chill with want.
"Ah," you let a mew at the feeling of him pinching and rubbing your nipple paired with Felix now inserting his finger into you this was too much. The familiar feeling of excitement pooled in your lower belly wanting to come soon.
"Mmh look at the chat praising you," Chan accent came out thicker at the moment. His fingers teased your nipples his one hand traveling down to your slit as he slowly found your clit as he played with it.
"Don't come, baby," he hummed in your ear. His hardness lightly rocking against your back. Both of their hands playing with you.
"You're close aren't you," Chan groaned in your ear. With a shaky head, you nodded feeling the coming orgasm fill your stomach.
"Felix stop touching," He demanded you turned your head to see Chan had a large smirk on his face. "Mmh clean his fingers for him won't you," Chan teased out.
The loss of contact made your body slightly settle. You gazed at Felix a gentle grin on his face "open," he ordered lightly.
Without words, you opened your mouth accepting his fingers tasting yourself. The visual of seeing Felix stand before you as you swirled your tongue on his fingers made you want them more. Cleaning his fingers, you probably looked so desperate at this point.
"Look what you've done to poor Felix," Chan pointed out the outline of a line of his dick showing in Felix's sweatpants. "Got him all riled up," he pointed out once again.
"Get on your fours baby girl," Chan told you a light pinch on your butt making you shift. Following his orders, you did what he asked. You wondered if Chan was naturally like this or was this a show for the cameras. Something inside you guessed this isn't an act.
"Now give Felix some pleasure he deserves it," Chan hummed watching from behind you as you grabbed Felix sweatpants pulling them down slightly revealing his briefs. He was already hard against them making an outline.
You ran your fingertips over his clothed dick lightly teasing the member. "Fuck Y/n," he gave deep moan at the lightest touch.
Feeling behind you Chan grabbed your hips tapping your ass lightly. "Her ass is amazing," Chan praised. He grabbed at it in a harsh manner feeling it.
"I want to feel it," Felix groaned as you kept your light touches up.
"One day you can have it," Chan teased out at Felix. "Today it’s all mine," he added.
Chan fingers lightly played with slit pulling the underwear down slightly. "So many donations I think people like the show," he hummed at the camera. The monitor gave you a perfect view of Chan behind you.
Pulling off Felix’s briefs to reveal his dick. "Suck it please," Felix whined out practically begging you. Grabbing it you lightly jerked him off. The feeling of Chan behind you made you moan as he slowly entered you.
You panted with want but wanted to please Felix as well. Wrapping your mouth on his dick you felt Chan lightly thrust in you making sure you could take him.
"Suck him off good Y/n," Chan egged you on. You moaned feeling Chan starting to slowly thrust into you. Your stomach stirring at the feeling of being fucked. Felix in front of you letting deep moans lace the air. You adored the sound of the younger male deep voice.
Chans hands were wrapped around your waist as he steadied you as he gave a gentle pace inside you. "Seeing you suck off Felix is so hot," he admitted a breathy groan laced his sentence.
Your gag reflex was lightly getting in the way, so you lightly backed off. Felix's hands met your head as he thrust into your open mouth his hips rocking in your mouth. The more he did that the more you gagged on him.
"Oh, fucking hell you clench around me every time you gag," Chan cursed "It feels amazing," he rocked into you harder.
The scene was lewd as it could be. You are blowing off your friend while your other friend took you from behind.
The warmth in your body was flaring up you felt your stomach tighten your skin so warm from the teasing. Wanting to help Felix before you came you focuses on the person in front of you.
You hollowed around him sucking him lightly. Your tongue peeking out giving kitten licks to his mushroomed head.
"She's so good," Felix gave a deep moan as he rocked his hips in your mouth. Pressing his fingers in your hair he lightly pushed you deeper as he balls tightened as he came in your mouth, you gagged lightly feeling the ropes of come touch the back of your throat.
"Fuck the clenching," Chan moaned from behind you. Felix unlaced his fingers from your hair his hand grabbing your chin letting the cum lightly drip out of your mouth.
"What a good girl we have here," Felix said a slight smirk on his face as his thumb touched the cum coming out. Catching it on his thumb he moved it to your mouth making you open your mouth to accept the fallen cum. "All of it my girl," his dark eyes held so much love and lust as you stared up at him accepting his finger cleaning it. The shift from cute too so sexual made you whine with want.
Chan wasn't done with you as his thrust became sloppier signaling, he was about to come. Your arms tired from holding yourself up you laid your head on the bed letting Chan fuck you into the bed.
You eyed Felix as he went back to the stream a lazy smile across his face. It made your heart flutter knowing you did that for him. You pleasured him into that handsome smile of his.
"You feel so good baby girl," Chan moaned as his hips were starting to stutter into you he was so close and so deep inside you.
Finally, after all the teasing, you could finally let go. You let the pleasure envelope you as he drove into you. The feeling of the tension washing over you signaled you came; a flow of moans left your mouth as you let go. The pleasure washed over you in an amazing way.
Chan soon chased his orgasm his Australian accent came out thick as he praised you.
Felix said some words you couldn't care less about to the stream thanking all the watchers and donors you think. Saying he loved the feedback and this experience as he shut off the stream and the bright studio lights in the room. Chan grabbed you pushing you on the bed.
You looked up at the male wide-eyed to see a lazy smile on his lips. "You're a natural," he praised you deciding to lay next to you.
"Yah why do you get to cuddle Y/n," Felix playfully pouted at the scene before him.
"Um because she likes me the best," Chan rolled his eyes covering you with his arm.
"I want your cuddles Felix," you whined reaching out for the other male. He accepted your arms and laid in them. Sighing with content you felt Felix shift on the bed.
"We really did that," Felix hummed laying in the packed bed.
"We sure did now go to sleep before I kick you out the bed," Chan laughed out lightly. You didn't know what morning had for you. At least you had your two best friends next to you.

Serendipity Masterlist
I collapse the box that I just finished unpacking and hobble over to put it in the pile of flattened boxes. I hop back to my little space in the corner and take a break to edit a video. Colby isn't here. Hopefully, he's at the trap house packing his things and helping clean. He was with me yesterday. We filmed a video putting together the Ikea furniture we bought a while ago. We both agreed that moving in at the same time would be stressful, so we planned to move in on separate days. Since I'm the only one who actually had everything packed, I moved in first. Which says something about the two of us because Colby has less stuff compared to me. He lived in a tiny bedroom for two years and I had an entire apartment to myself for the same amount of time. It would be safe to assume that I have more things.
With Colby being busy packing and cleaning, I asked the members of the slap house and Kian and JC to help out. I also feel bad so I'm paying them and taking them out to lunch later. Honestly, my leg getting broken was perfect timing because I get to do all the fun parts of moving: unpacking and organizing. Which is what I've been doing all morning. I've been focusing on the shared spaces, the bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Mainly because when Colby starts moving his stuff in a couple of days I want to stay out of the way and give him space. I'm leaving my little youtube studio alone until then.
After Colby first asked me to move in with him, I started to worry about the things I would miss. One of the main things was having my youtube room. I think he knew that because he set out to find 2-3 bedroom apartments. When we found one in our price range, Colby told me I could take the spare bedroom to work in. Our apartment, like Sam's, has a smaller second level where he can put his work stuff. He said I needed the room more because I could work on music interrupted. I think he deserves extra boyfriend points.
I stop what I'm doing when I hear a knock at the front door. It's been a while since the guys were here last. They're probably here to drop off the next load of stuff. I save my work and go to open the door. I move out of the way so everyone can walk in.
"Hey, since you're all here, what should we do for lunch— Benji?" At the end of the line of everyone, there stands Benji holding a box.
"Oh yeah, he came to your apartment looking for you. It's cool that he's here right?" Kian asks after setting down a box and stands next to me in a protective stance.
"Actually, it isn't cool. But it's fine, you guys wouldn't know about the current family drama that's going on. Or that we aren't on speaking terms. I'll take care of it. You guys figure out where we should eat." I hobble over and take a box from Benji and walk back into the apartment.
"Iz, we need to talk. Besides, I have a lot of your stuff in my car so I can't leave." I set the box on the counter and hesitate for a second.
"Fine, but the second we move the last box, you're gone." I tighten my walking boot and follow Benji to his car.
"Isabella, you shouldn't— On second thought, you do what you want." Mike stops from trying to tell me that I'm not supposed to be moving boxes as per doctor's orders. Plus, Colby would have a fit if he found out. The only reason why Mike stopped trying to stop me is because I gave him a look.
I follow Benji to the elevator. The walk is quiet because we know that there are people within earshot. Once the elevator door shuts, Benji turns to face me. I don't look at him. I won't look at him. Looking at Benji used to bring me such peace when I was younger, now all I can think about is how much he looks so much like our father now that he's older. I noticed that when I went home a few months ago. Sometimes I had to remind myself that my brothers were not our father. That he was nowhere near us, or so I thought.
"Isabella, I'm so happy that I was able to find you. After mom told us what she did, I decided to give you some space. And when I finally thought you had enough space, your phone was disconnected and you weren't active on social media." His voice quivers.
"I took a break from social media and I had the misfortune of having my phone number leaked on the internet. If you really wanted to check in on me, you could have dropped by my apartment." I say cooly.
"I know, I know. I just figured that if you went through such lengths to not be reached that I wouldn't harass you at your house."
"Well, clearly you got over that." The elevator brings us to the parking lot and I walk out and scan for his car.
"I had to get over it. If you would just look at me and really listen." Benji grabs my arm and I freeze. He quickly lets go of my hand and I finally turn around and look at him. His eyes are glossy.
I shake my head and walk as fast as I can to his car. I open the passenger door and sit in the car, waiting for him to join me. A few seconds later he catches on and climbs into the driver seat.
"I can tell you want to say something. Why don't you get whatever it is off your chest." Benji turns to face me again. I look at the wall that he parked in front of. I still refuse to look at him.
"You know, when we were little, I used to think you were the best big brother a girl could have? To Joey, I was just another younger sibling who would be taking the attention off him. But you, you would do the most fictional big brother crap that you only see in movies. You're only four years older and you would take me to the park, take me to and from school— if I remember correctly, you'd even save your notes just in case I needed help with something. You'd even take me to my dance rehearsals and sit with the dance moms until it was time to go home. Hell, you were the only one to go to my high school graduation. You were always there when I needed it." I pause for a second to catch my breath. I fidget in my seat before turning to Benji, who has a sad expression on his face.
"Izzy..." Out of habit, he strokes my hair. When we were younger, it was his ways of letting me know that everything was going to be okay. I push his hand away and look him in the eyes.
**TRIGGER WARNING**
"After your mother kicked me out of the family and all the other stuff that happened, I realized that that wasn't true. I couldn't go to you about what was going on with dad. I was too little and didn't know how to comprehend it. And as we got older, I didn't know how to approach going to you about it. But you had to be able to tell. Little signs that things were off with me. For fucks sakes, your bedroom was right next to mine. When I finally figured out how to say what was going on, I waited until you were 18 so that if someone had actually cared and if things went to shit, we wouldn't have to worry about getting separated. I was finally able to say it, and you didn't believe me. Or maybe you were in denial. Either way, you didn't trust me enough to believe me. To help me. If you did know when we were younger, then you might have kept quiet because you were scared. I don't blame you, I was. I've always been a little hurt and upset with you after you found out because I never lied to you, and you know that. But what hurt me the most, is that even if you didn't believe me, you went along with mom's plan to get money from me. You knew how I felt about everything and you still went along with it. And when she exiled me from the family, a little part of me thought that you wouldn't abide by that. That you would come to me and tell me that you're still my brother. That you would still be there for me. But that never happened." I say the last part a little louder than I intended to. We're both crying, me more than him. I quickly wipe my tears away and Benji struggles to find something, I'm assuming a napkin. He gives up and dries his face with his arm.
"I'm sorry Isabella. I'm so, so sorry. And you're right, I didn't believe you even though you never gave me a reason not to." He reached into the backseat and pulls out a slightly big box that used to hold one of our grandma's hats.
"What is that?" I ask while sniffling.
"After mom did what she did, she told Joey and me to throw away anything that had to do with you. Joey said he was busy so I did it myself. I found some stuff that you might want: pictures and little mementos. While I was going through treasured family memories, I found some home movies in the attic. So I took them to make copies for you. But while I was watching them and copying them, I one that wasn't a home movie. And then I found another and another. I found so many and— I should have believed you. I should have protected you or something, but I didn't. I copied them all down in a flash drive and put them in the box too." He stares at the box before handing it to me.
"The bastard recorded what he did and left the videos with our family memories?" I stare at the box in disbelief.
"Turn it in to the police, burn it, do whatever you want with it. So much of your life, people made decisions that drastically affected your life, I thought you should make this decision yourself."
**TRIGGER WARNING OVER**
"Thank you. I don't even know how to process this. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but I'll keep you updated when I do."
"Please do. I haven't always been there for you, but I promise I will be now."
"I love you, Benji." I wrap my arms around Benji and hold on for dear life. He hugs me back and for a second everything feels a little better in the world.
"I love you too, Izzy. Let's get back to your apartment before your friends think I kidnapped you."
"Oh shit, I forgot about them. You should come to lunch with up."
"Okay, that'll be great before I have to go back to studying." Benji takes out the only other box in the car and we walk back the apartment. I should have figured that Benji would only have one box on the off chance I didn't want to talk to him, that way things wouldn't be more uncomfortable.
****
I sit in my little office space while Sam, Colby, and Jake bumble around the rest of the apartment moving stuff. They figured that they would just share a moving truck since they all live in the same apartment complex. This resulted in a massive truck and three dumbasses trying to figure out how to get their stuff all the way to the fifth floor without using the elevator. I offered to help at least bring in the smaller stuff but the three of them nearly had a conniption. Even though they aren't living together, I can tell that living with them in the building is going to be like the trap house.
So as promised, I'm staying out of their way. Luckily, they listened to me when I told them to bring all their boxed stuff before moving the furniture. It's also a good thing that the only bit of furniture Colby has to bring in is the couches, desk, and chairs. We ordered a new mattress and bed set due to mine being 'too girly' and Colby's being broken. It got here yesterday morning so we put that together yesterday afternoon. The mattress is coming today, hopefully. Or else We're going to have to sleep on the couches tonight.
"Izzy!" Colby yells from somewhere in the apartment. He still might be used to being in the house because there is no need for him to shout, especially with my door being open. I get up from the floor and walk into the living room where Sam, Colby, and Jake are collapsed on the floor.
"Are you three okay? Should I call 911?" I joke as I get 3 water bottles from the fridge and pass them out.
"It's just, the floor is so comfortable. And we're exhausted. Anyway, the mattress came. Do you need help with the video?"
"No, I can do it. You three rest. Figure out if we're going out to lunch or order in." I find the box near the couch. I start to drag it into the bedroom but Colby gets up and takes the box from me. I grab my camera and tripod from my office and set it up.
"Babe, do want to eat out or stay in?" Colby asks before going back to join Jake and Sam on the floor.
"I say eat out because we all have to go grocery shopping and get last minute things so we can just do that after," I say as I open the window to get better lighting.
"Okay, I'll suggest that to the guys." Colby gives me a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving me to film the band deal video for the mattress.
****
"Baby, let's go to bed." I put away the last empty box by the door.
"Why don't we just sit here and relax a bit, maybe watch a movie?" Colby pats the seat next to him on the couch.
We got home from lunch and a Target run and spent the rest of the day unpacking. I took a break from doing my office area and put away Colby's clothes while he put together the clothing racks. He's been doing a lot of heavy lifting all day and last night he came back to the apartment to let me sleep at the trap house so I wouldn't have to sleep on the floor. Or my couch in my office. So I know that he has to be on the verge of passing out.
"Are you sure?" I ask as I sit down next to him. He turns the tv on and turns on 13 Going on 30. I look at him funny before going back to watching the movie. It's not his favorite movie, but I didn't think I made him watch it enough times to make him voluntarily watch it.
"Shh, just watch the movie." He puts my arm around me and we watch the movie for a little bit.
The longer the movie plays, the more Colby starts to fidget. I scramble to find the controller, which managed to get under us and pause the movie.
"We can watch the movie tomorrow. We can have a lazy day and binge all the movies we can. We'll even watch Scott Pilgrim. Let's just go to bed now. I know you're tired."
"I'm not tired. I'm just trying to figure out the perfect moment."
"Perfect moment for what?" Colby digs into his pocket and pulls out a little black box.
"For this," He opens the box and in it is a ring. My heart nearly jumps out of my throat.
"Cole—"
"You can relax. It's not an engagement ring... technically."
"I'm lost. What is going on?"
"I know our anniversary was this past weekend. And I thought about giving this to you then but I thought that today would be better."
"And you're not proposing?" I say sitting up more now.
"No, I know that we're both not ready for that yet. This little ring is a promise ring. I know, it sounds corny and cheesy, but bear with me."
"I have a feeling that I'm going to cry. Hold on." I walk as quickly as I can to get a tissue box from the bathroom and join Colby back on the couch.
"Look, I'm not good with words or emotions sometimes. You know this. I could have given this to you on Saturday when we had the whole celebration thing. But I didn't think that our first anniversary wasn't special enough for this. And I know that sounds bad, but hold on. It gets better, I promise. I thought that today would be better because why should all the super big milestones in a relationship get all the glory? Today, we officially moved in together. This is our own space, our home. I never moved in with a girl that I'm absolutely in love with. And I know that you haven't either. This a big moment in our relationship, a big step. Isabella, I love you more than I've never loved another human being this much in my entire life. And with this ring, I promise to always love you, even when you start singing badly on purpose, or get on my ass about the littlest things. I promise that I'll always love you, even if we break up one day. And if we don't break up, and the time is right, I promise that I'll propose to you. Properly, in a big way with a pre-planned speech and everything. Isabella Rose, you have my heart."
"Fuck... I don't even know what to say. I think you melted both my brain and my heart. How do I respond? Jesus, I'm a mess." I completely forgot about the tissues and started to use my hoodie sleeves to dry my face.
"Bells, I'm not looking for an answer. Your flustered state speaks enough for you." Colby laughs and takes a tissue and helps dry my face.
"No— I have to— Oh, wait! Okay first things first, put that ring on my finger. And Cole, you better have a matching one or tomorrow we're spending the entire day at the jewelers until we find you one." Colby slips the ring on my finger. A perfect fit. He must have looked in my jewelry box or something.
"I did, don't worry. I figured you were going to say something like that. What did you want me to wait for?"
"Okay, well. I still can't fully process what just happened in my head. But that's okay because I was going to do this next month during my album release party anyway. How do I say this? I wrote you a song. A full ass song that's not going to be beautiful or properly convey how I feel about you like your little speech, but it's a song about and for you." I pulled out my phone and search through my notes for the final mastered copy that was sent to me for approval.
"You did what?" Now Colby's attention is fully on me.
"One day, months ago, I was trying to put into words how I felt about you. I wrote it all down, and poof, I had a song. I messed around with some instruments and I had a full song. And I thought about how to have you listen to it. I was going to do it at the album release party but I know how you are and I was trying to figure out a way to have you listen to it before that party."
"I... This is the most Isabella thing you could have done."
"What is?" I finally find the song and get it ready to play.
"Channel what you're feeling into something creative, and yet, in a way that makes the other person completely understand."
"Well, I guess calling the album Dear Diary, was completely in character then. Anyway, I present to you 'Limerence' or as I sometimes called it 'Cole's song'. Before you ask, limerence means 'the state of being infatuated with another person.'" I play the song and try not to look at Colby's face the entire time.
The song ends and Colby's speechless. I sit nervously and watch to see a reaction.
"Jesus, we're both so in love with each other. Iz, that is— now I don't know how to respond." Colby rubs his eyes. It takes him a few seconds but then he finally looks at me.
"I think we can safely say, that we feel the same way about each other and we both know this. Our actions did all the speaking for us. Now let's go to bed before we're both messes." I get up, shut the tv off, and start walking to our room.
"Hey, Iz?" Colby says while getting up from the couch.
"Hmm?" I turn around and look at my goofy smiling boyfriend.
"I love you."
"I love you," I reply. I hold out my hand and wait for Colby to turn off the light and join me.

[Y/N uploaded a video]
The notification popped up on his screen and before he could even read the rest of the title, he was already watching the video with stars in his eyes.
You were a beauty Youtuber. And Chanyeol was a fan. He stumbled upon your page a few years ago, almost when you first started, and ever since then he’s been hooked. From the way that you cut your crease to the way that you blended the foundation into your skin, he was fascinated by everything you did.
“Hey guys! It’s Y/N. If you didn’t already guess by the title, I’m going to be doing a Q&A today! I asked you all to ask me some questions on Twitter and Instagram and so I’ll just be answering those now.”
‘What product did you absolutely love that wasn’t makeup related?’ He smiled as he watched you read the question and he smiled even wider as you started to go on a rant about your new phone case. Honestly, he didn’t really know why he was so drawn to you.
When he first saw your channel, he was confused because he didn’t really care about things related to beauty, but he always found himself watching your videos. Truthfully, he didn’t like things like phone cases or facial brushes or makeup for that matter. He just liked to watch you explain things and rant and gush over new products. He was truly a fan.
“Chanyeol! Are you ready?” He heard Baekhyun call from downstairs. His group of friends were going to meet up for lunch but now that you posted a new video, Chanyeol just wanted to stay home. It would be wrong of him to do that though because he was the one who suggested everyone meet in the first place.
He groaned, “Yeah, give me a second!” He grabbed his headphones and shoes and as quick as he could, ran downstairs.
Tumblr media
The sandwich shop that they all chose to go to was practically vacant. Besides a few people scattered around by the corners of the shop, they were the only big group of people there. It was always like that when they came here.
“I’ll go order, what do you guys want?” Minseok asked the group. Everyone started to belt out orders and the oldest rolled his eyes, “I’ll just get the usual and if you want something different then you have to order it yourself.” There were groans around the table but no one made a move to go with him.
“So,” Jongdae started once Minseok left, “Anything new with you all? It’s been, what, like a week? What’s going on?”
Chanyeol’s hands were already reaching for his phone. He could just watch the video under the table with subtitles. It would be fine, right?
“I found some shoes that I want but I don’t want to buy them,” Sehun stated, “If someone bought them for me, I’d greatly appreciate it.”
What would he say if someone were to look over at what he was doing and see him watching a beauty video? Would they laugh at his guilty pleasure or would they ignore it?
“No ones gonna buy you shoes, Sehun,” Kyungsoo said from the corner of the table.
“I wasn’t asking anyone to. I was only suggesting it,” he mumbled in response.
The video started again and Chanyeol let out a small sigh of happiness when your face popped up on the screen. Of course, watching it with subtitles and no sound wasn’t as good as watching with sound but he would just watch the video over when he got home.
“What are you doing over there, Yeol?” Jongin asked. His head shot up as his hand quickly turned the phone off.
“What? Me? Nothing!” He answered quickly.
“Sounds suspicious to me,” Jongin replied with a smirk.
“I bet he was even looking at that before we got here! I saw him cooped up in his room with his phone in his hands and a huge smile,” Baekhyun snitched, “Something is definitely up.”
“Me? Nothing is up with me! I’m just looking at—“ he paused, thinking of something that would make them back off, “—a new guitar I want.”
“Yeah right! Lemme see your phone then!” Baek retorted and reached over the table. Chanyeol leaned back, holding his phone tightly in his hand. But before Baekhyun could reach his phone, Minseok came back with the food.
“Hey! What’s going on here? I leave for a few minutes and you guys are going crazy and trying to take each other’s phones!”
“It’s because Yeol is being weird!” Baekhyun whined as Chanyeol let a small smile show on his face. If Minseok had gotten to them even a second later, this whole scene would’ve been different.
“I’m not being weird! It’s a guitar! What else would I be looking at?” he defended.
“Then why are you hiding it?” Junmyeon asked.
Chanyeol turned to him with a scowl, “Hey! Why are you siding with them?”
Junmyeon just shrugged in response, “It’s weird.”
“I’m not looking at anything! Just eat!” He pouted, putting his phone in his pocket. That made the focus leave him momentarily, but although it wasn’t going to be for a long time and he knew that, he was still happy. It at least gave him more time to think of a cover.
As everyone ate their food, the bell above the door rung. Instinctively, the group looked up to see who walked in and were met by such a beauty.
Chanyeol’s face paled as you walked in. Was it really you? But why? You stepped up to the register, making your order, and Jongdae spoke up, “I dare one of you to go talk to her.”
Yeol’s head shot in his direction, “Why would any of us do that?” He hissed.
“Because she’s pretty! You don’t want to be single forever, do you?” Jongdae retorted.
“But to go up to a random girl is rude!”
Sehun laughed from his seat, “Why are you so on edge today? It’s just talking to a girl.” He paused, “In fact, since you’re going crazy about this—“
“Am not!”
“—Then you go talk to her.”
All of the wheels in his brain stopped turning as he tried to process what Sehun said. The table started to agree before he could even make a motion to disagree.
“That’s probably why he’s making a big deal out of this anyways! Because he wants to talk to her!” Baekhyun blurted out.
Chanyeol rolled his eyes, “You’re always jumping to conclusions!”
“Just go talk to her,” Junmyeon said, “What’s the harm? She either says she’s not interested or she is.”
Or she thinks I’m a weird, super fan and she hates me forever. Maybe she’ll even make a ‘storytime’ video about me.
Jongin pushed Chanyeol out of his chair, moving him to go talk to you. “Nothing bad will happen. Just go and take a chance.”

You were standing by the counter of the small sandwich shop, waiting for your food, when you heard aggressive whispers. It sort of made you want to pay attention to them, but you didn’t want to be rude and eavesdrop.
Plus, you couldn’t really focus on anything other than your growling stomach at the moment.
They told you your food would be ready in a few minutes but you could’ve sworn they said hours. That’s how hungry you were. So you sighed, nodded your head, and stepped to the side. Since you didn’t have anything else to occupy yourself with, you decided you would go on social media and see what was going on.
Which was nothing.
You had nothing to focus on.
And that’s how you decided to listen in on the aggressive whispering conversation going on a few tables from where you were standing.
You could barely make out what was being said but you still heard a bit.
“That’s probably why he’s making a big deal out of this anyways! Because he wants to talk to her!” Suddenly, you were way more interested in this conversation than you should’ve been.
Someone responded in a defensive tone, “You’re always jumping to conclusions!”
“Just go talk to her. What’s the harm? She either says she’s not interested or she is.” You dared to take a look over to the table you were listening in on and your eyes made it just in time to see one of the guys push the other out of the seat.
“Nothing bad will happen. Just go and take a chance,” The guy had said to his friend. The friend looked miserable but suddenly he looked up at you, to see you staring at him.
You both looked away, although he looked away first. You could’ve sworn that he looked flustered though. Perhaps, were they talking about you?
You looked around the small shop and tried to find someone else that they could possibly be talking about. There was an old couple by the window, a mother and child duo in the corner, and a middle aged man closer by the door.
Would they be talking about the mother? But she had a child.
And then the old couple was… well, old.
You felt someone’s presence next to you and looked over to see the guy from before. You were so surprised, you jumped a little.
His face paled a little bit, “Did I scare you? I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine,” you said, placing an awkward smile on your face. He nodded and it became quiet after that.
A moment of silence passed before he spoke up again, “Uh,” was the first thing out of his mouth, “My name is Chanyeol.”
“Hi Chanyeol,” You replied, wondering why he was over here.
Then he took a deep sigh and with a lower voice, he spoke again, “Look, my friends told me to talk to you but I really didn’t want to. I mean— I did, but I didn’t want to scare you. I’m actually a big fan of your channel which is why I didn’t want to come over here. I didn’t want you to think I was a crazy stalker fan or something.” You smiled after he explained. The more you thought about it, it was cute. He was looking out for you because he was a fan.
“But, I have a question,” you started with a raised eyebrow. Chanyeol motioned for you to ask, “Why did your friends want you to talk to me?”
He let out a small chuckle, scratching the back of his neck, “Because you’re pretty,” your smile got wider at that statement, “But of course, I’m not going to ask you for your number or anything. That would make you uncomfortable. So, I’m gonna go back over to the table and tell them you rejected me or something. I’m so sorry for bothering you and it was really nice to meet you!” And he started to turn away.
Your face fell. Surprisingly, you didn’t want to leave this guy like this. What was the harm in giving him your number anyways? He was cute, he was a fan which meant he liked your channel, and he seemed really sweet and considerate.
“Wait,” he stopped, “Uh, what if I said it was okay if you had my number?” He turned back around, looking at you with a surprised expression.
“Really?”
“Yeah, you don’t seem like a bad person.”
His smile was so bright, it was probably able to be seen from miles away. “Really?” he asked again, this time with more of an excited undertone.
You nodded, taking a nearby napkin from the counter and jotting down your number. “Text or call whenever you want, just make sure not to give out my number to stalkers,” you said as you handed him the napkin. He smiled at it, telling you he’d be sure to call soon. Then he walked back to his table
Finally, the worker told you your food was ready, so you took it and before walking out of the store, you looked back over at Chanyeol’s table. His friends were pushing him around, saying things like ‘Wow, Chanyeol actually got a girl’s number’ and ‘I told you it wouldn’t be a bad thing!’. He just smiled to himself while the whole thing was going on.
A small smile made it’s way onto your face as you looked down at your sandwich bag. If the food was as good as the smell made it out to be then that would make this the greatest outing you’ve had in years.

Heartbeats (1)
Tumblr media
part one; part two; part three;
It all started with a phone call.
“I’ve hit the jackpot!” your best friend exclaimed loudly down the phone.
You laughed brightly, moving the microphone on your earphones closer to your mouth as you headed up the street towards your office. “Good morning to you too Mel.”
Mel had been your best friend since college. The two of you started a week after the beginning of term and immediately bonded as the only two people who didn't know anyone else in the school. After that, the two of you were inseparable, following each other to university and graduating with honours together. You’d made many more friends over the years but Mel had always stayed by your side. She knew how to handle your sometimes crippling anxiety and you could easily manage her perpetual overexcitement. It was a perfect friendship.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, good morning!” she dismissed quickly, no doubt bouncing about in a circle like a hyperactive puppy. “You will never guess what has just happened!”
Rolling your eyes, you paused at a crossing and waited for the lights to turn green. “If I’m never going to guess, why don’t you just tell me before I get into the office?” you reasoned.
Mel took a deep breath, a telltale signal that your best friend was about to launch into her story. “Do you remember Park Chanyeol? The really hot guy that lived across the hall from us at university?”
A small smile turned the corners of your lips up as you remembered the enigmatic man from across the hall. Dark brown hair, wide innocent eyes, cute protruding ears and a towering stature: the Chanyeol you recalled was handsome and cheerful. Last you heard, he had developed an online game and was now running a small gaming company with some of his friends.
The walking man flashed green overhead. “Yeah I remember him,” you replied, crossing the road quickly so you were on your office’s street.
“Well I met him yesterday at a media seminar and we spent the whole evening talking at the bar and …”
“And you ended up in his bed?” you finished.
Your best friend scoffed in mock-disbelief. “What kind of person do you think I am?” she exclaimed in pretend abhorrence.
If you weren’t her best friend, you might have thought that her hurt at your assumption was real, but you knew Mel too well. “My favourite person,” you teased.
“It’s a good thing I love you,” she teased back playfully. “And you’re wrong because I didn’t end up in his bed. Actually I was telling him about my recent housing problem, you know the one where my landlady is a bitch and is kicking me out with barely any notice…”
“I still think if you got yourself a lawyer, you could fight the eviction,” you interrupted to repeat the point you had been trying to make your best friend.
You didn’t need to see her to know Mel was rolling her eyes. “I’m not going to waste my money trying to keep myself in that bitch’s apartment. If she wants me out, that’s fine with me. As it turns out, one of Chanyeol’s business partners is in need a roommate,” she explained enthusiastically.
“I thought you were trying to find your own place?” you asked with a soft frown. One of you had to be the voice of reason and it was unlikely to be Mel. She had the tendency to be a little impulsive.
“It was, but I’m not going to find my dream place in two weeks and Chanyeol’s friend says I can stay for as long as it takes as long as I pay my rent,” she replied before squealing excitedly. “Plus I’ve seen photos of the guy and he’s fucking gorgeous. There’s always the chance we’ll fall in love and I won’t have to move out at all,” she added in pure Mel-like fashion.
It was your turn to roll your eyes, pulling your bag off your shoulder to find your pass as you approached your office building. “Don’t set yourself up for disappointment Mel,” you told her softly, pulling your lanyard out from the bottom of your bag.
“That’s alright for you to say; you can literally feel your soulmate’s heartbeat,” she retorted quickly. “Anyway, I need you to come round tonight and help me pack. I’ll pay you with pizza!”
“You know my weakness,” you answered with a smile, swiping yourself into your building. “I’m at work now so I’ll text you later.”
“Have a productive publishing day,” Mel joked, making kissing noises down the phone until she eventually hung up.
Pulling your earphones out, you wrapped your lanyard around your neck and headed across the foyer towards the elevator. You’d arrived pretty early this morning to get ready for the big publishing meeting you were supposed to sit in on today so there weren’t that many people in the building. Hopefully you had left yourself enough time to make a cup of tea and read through your notes before the meeting started.
Alone in the elevator, you could feel it. The heartbeat Mel had mentioned so enviously. Your soulmate's.
According to urban myth - basically YouTube videos and Twitter threads - those lucky enough were gifted with their soulmate’s heartbeat alongside their own from the age of sixteen. It was supposed to act as a guide, to lead you to the one you were destined to spend your life with. Apparently it is only with the touch of your soulmate that your heartbeats would merge and beat as one.
Honestly the whole thing sounded ludicrous to you. Mel thought it was the epitome of romance and loved that you were destined for someone. You however saw it as a nuisance. When you first felt it on your 16th birthday, you thought you were hallucinating. Your parents almost had you sectioned because they thought you were losing your mind. But when you figured out what the heartbeat actually meant, all that was left to do was wait.
However it wasn’t something that was easy to live with. In the beginning, every touch made you jittery in anticipation, only to have it replaced by disappointment. It was enough to drive you insane. After years of expecting to find your soulmate, you'd all but given up the idea of him, deciding instead to focus on your career.
You found that if you kept yourself busy, you barely even noticed your second heartbeat. Still, by yourself in the quietness of the elevator, it may as well have been pounding in your ears. The rhythm was slow and gentle, like it usually was in the morning. Whoever your soulmate was, he often didn’t get up until 10 or 11am if his heartbeat was anything to go by.
The elevator suddenly came to a halt at your floor, the doors pinging open in a swift motion. Walking out, you tried to shake off the disassociated feeling you felt when you lost yourself in your second heartbeat and instead focused on what you needed to do for the day.
However throughout your long hours in the office, it was always there, lingering in the very back of your mind just peering into your consciousness. The thought that someone out there was your soulmate.

You couldn’t fight the pleasurable moan slip from your lips as the stringy cheese of your pizza hit your tongue. “Ugh I love pizza so much!” you breathed, closing your eyes for a brief second to appreciate your mouthful.
Mel’s scoff brought you out of your moment of pleasure. “This is why your dates always go so bad. You’re more interested in the food than the men sat across the table from it,” she teased, picking off a piece of pepperoni from her slice of pizza and popping it into her mouth.
“No, my dates always went bad because the food was more interesting than the men. It’s really your fault for setting me up with guys as boring as bricks,” you replied, finishing your first slice of pizza with a big bite.
Reaching across the food, Mel poured out two Cokes into plastic cups, seeing as all of her glasses were already packed. “What did you expect? Good looks and a personality?” she answered with her loud melodious laugh.
“Is it too much to ask?” you retorted, dramatically shrugging your shoulders in pretend-despair.
Unlike Mel, you weren’t too concerned about love and romance and finding the owner of your second heartbeat. Your focus was solely on your career and trying to make a name for yourself within your publishing company. That didn’t leave much time for dating, or finding your soulmate as Mel liked to call the blind dates she forced you to go on.
However the guys she set you up with never had much going on upstairs. All of them had been very handsome, but none could hold an intelligent conversation with you, their brains unable to stretch further than sports or video games. The more dates Mel organised for you, the more annoyed you became with the calibre of men, so you decided to forget about finding the one and do something productive like get ahead at work.
“So are you going to help me move on Saturday or do I have to bribe you with more pizza?” Mel asked, giving you her best puppy dog expression to try and charm you.
As cute as she was though, you had become immune to her charms in university, otherwise neither of you would have graduated. “I’m out of town with my boss this Saturday. But I’ll come over and help you unpack when I get back,” you told her, hiding your face behind your cup. “I’ll even pay for the pizza!”
“Ugh, some friend you are!” she whined, her lips pulled into a sulky pout. “I’m sure Sehun will help me anyway.”
You shook your head, still a little disbelieving of the situation your best friend had found herself in. “I can’t believe you’re moving in with a complete stranger. What if he turns out to be a psychopathic killer?” you exclaimed, making Mel almost choke on her pizza with laughter. “I’m serious Mel! Do you know anything about this Sehun?” Like always, you were the cautious one.
Mel quickly swallowed her mouthful and reached for her phone. “I know he’s really good looking,” she retorted childishly. “Like seriously, the man could easily be a model if he wanted to!” She made a few swipes on her phone and then turned the screen towards you.
It was a photo, posted on what looked like Chanyeol’s instagram, of a man relaxing in the middle of a huge bed, dressed in a white shirt and charcoal trousers, one arm stretched behind his head while the other held his phone up to his face. Your heart stuttered at his handsomeness, his long slender body and styled up dark hair catching you off guard. He was gorgeous, every inch of his image a mirror of perfection.
A little too perfect.
You blinked out of your stupor and focused on your pizza instead. “Handsome men can be serial killers too.”
Mel sighed and collapsed onto her back exasperated. “This is exactly why you are single!” she exclaimed, dramatically wriggling on the floor before sitting up for more pizza. “Sometimes handsome men are just handsome and haven’t murdered someone.”
Sticking your tongue out, you scrunched your face up and finished chewing. “All I’m saying is don’t get ahead of yourself Mel. I know you, and your imagination tends to run off in these crazy scenarios that reality can never live up to,” you reasoned.
Mel frowned cutely. “Don’t spoil this for me!” she whined, scrolling through her phone no doubt in search of more photos of Sehun to show you.
“Just be careful babe,” you replied softly, reaching over to pinch her cheek.

“I’ll write up my notes and have them on your desk first thing Monday morning Mr Choi,” you told your boss through the phone, staring out of your taxi’s window at the blur of tall apartment buildings speeding past. Having just got back from your short business trip, you were on your way to Mel’s new apartment to help her unpack and settle in.
Your boss laughed deeply. “I don’t know what I would do without,” he complimented. “Thank you for everything today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.”
“You too sir,” you added politely, hanging up just as your taxi slowed to stop.
Leaning forward, you checked the price on the meter and took out a crisp note to pay for your fare. “Keep the change,” you told the driver, feeling bad for being so rude on the phone for the entire journey. Collecting your things, you shot the driver a brief smile and then climbed out of the taxi, pulling up your conversation with Mel on your phone to make sure you buzzed the right apartment.
You pressed the button for 8B and swung back on your heels, waiting for Mel’s loud voice to no doubt blast through the intercom. However the door just clicked open for you. “Maybe the intercom is broken,” you muttered to yourself, pushing the door wide and stepping inside. From there, Mel’s apartment was easy to find - a fast elevator ride and a turn of a corner away.
Pushing the doorbell, you flipped your hair out of your face and tapped your feet on the shiny stone floor. Knowing what a ball of energy Mel was when she was excited, she was probably going to come charging out the door and knock the air right out of your lungs.
But it wasn’t Mel that answered.
A tall, devastatingly handsome man swung the door open, his dark hair messy and styled up. His chocolate eyes widened slightly as they ran the length of your body and made you shudder, like a chilling breeze had just blown straight through you. He pulled his bottom lip between his white teeth and gave you a look that made both your heartbeats skip. You immediately recognised him from the number of photos Mel had shown you. This was Oh Sehun.
His brow knotted together in a hard frown. “You’re not the pizza delivery man?” he questioned, his eyes once again trailing your body, this time in search of any pizza you might be concealing.
“No, sorry,” you answered awkwardly, tucking your hair behind your ears.
“That’s a shame!” he mumbled quietly, giving you one last look before he moved to close the door.
“Actually,” you started quickly, stepping closer. “I’m here to see Mel.” You introduced yourself and held out your hand for him to shake, watching his eyebrows lift in surprise at your name.
Sehun pulled his thin lips into a pout, leaning against the doorframe with his arms folded across his broad chest. “The way Chanyeol described you, I thought you’d be...,” he trailed off, leaving the unsaid words hanging in the air.
You balked in disbelief, your outstretched hand falling limply back to your side. Was this guy for real? “Sorry to disappoint,” you snapped. You didn’t care how handsome this guy was, nothing could excuse his rudeness. “Is Mel here?”
There was a flash of something in his expression but it disappeared in the blink of an eye. Was it guilt? “Meg!” he called over his shoulder.
You couldn’t help the stunned look on your face. In all your years, you had never met anyone as rude and arrogant as Sehun. “Her name is Mel,” you told him sourly, watching the smirk on his pretty lips falter for a moment.
“Oh right,” he replied nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders as he stepped back to let you pass through the door.
Making a conscious effort not to touch him, you walked through the threshold, slipping out of your shoes and leaving them neatly before walking down the short corridor that opened up onto a huge living room.
“You made it!” Mel squealed, her hair dishevelled and pulled up into a high ponytail. She ran across the room, wrapping you in a tight hug.
Sehun strutted past you with his hands buried in the pockets of his tracksuit trousers and a permanent smirk fixed to his flushed lips. “Try to keep the screaming down,” he remarked grumpily, leaving the room from the direction Mel had come from.
Slightly stunned by Sehun’s arrogant departure, you shook off his rudeness and pulled a bottle of Mel’s favourite champagne out of your bag. “I bought bubbles!” you announced proudly, watching your best friend’s eyes light up excitedly.
“Oh my gosh! I haven’t unpacked my wine glasses yet,” she exclaimed dramatically, quickly darting into the kitchen to start rummaging through boxes. “Can you believe Sehun doesn’t have any wine glasses? Like what does he drink his wine from? A tumbler?!”
“That’s against nature,” you played along, knowing how defensive Mel got about tableware. She was the type of girl who had a certain glass for every drink, and hated it when people used the incorrect glassware. Once you drank wine out of a gin glass and she lost it. You learnt quickly that it was best to just let her pour the drinks.
While Mel fished out her wine glasses, you had a nose around the apartment. It was a huge open-plan living room - high ceilings, clean white walls, charcoal grey furniture - with the kitchen separated by a long marble breakfast bar. There was a huge TV attached to the wall and an even bigger sound and gaming system underneath, typical of a bachelor pad.
However there were added details to the decor that surprised you.: like the four framed photos of the same set of trees, each different to represent the four seasons; or the sweet-scented candles dotted on the surfaces. Definitely not a feature in most bachelor pads. Plus it was clean and tidy - another rarity. Maybe Sehun wasn’t as bad as you first thought.
“This place is huge!” you murmured, running your hand along the soft blanket thrown over the back of one of the sofas.
Mel appeared behind the breakfast bar, triumphantly holding two wine glasses in her hands. “Isn’t it amazing?” she exclaimed, her dark eyes bright with excitement. “And you should see the size of my bedroom. You could probably fit my last apartment in it!”
Laughing lightly at her dramatics, you leaned across the breakfast bar with the bottle of bubbles. “Well pour me a glass and give me the tour!”
Like a pro, Mel popped the cork of the champagne and poured out two glasses, handing one to you across the breakfast bar before holding hers up in the air for a toast. “To fresh starts!” she exclaimed, beaming from ear to ear with the widest smile.
“To new beginnings!” you added, clinking your glass with hers.
While Mel walked you through the rest of the apartment, you quietly sipped your champagne and took in the huge spaces. Off from the living room was a long corridor that Sehun had earlier disappeared down, which led to the laundry room and the bathroom with a jacuzzi-sized bathtub. Immediately you and Mel climbed in and tested it out, stretching out fully and imagining the massage jets blasting water at you until you were completely relaxed. However it was the only bathroom in the apartment so Mel and Sehun would be sharing, something Mel had already worked up a hundred scenarios about.
“Towels only magically fall down in the movies,” you argued, taking a long sip of your champagne as Mel took you to the end of the corridor.
“It could happen!” she exclaimed, giving you a cheeky wink. “Oh yeah, so this is my bedroom and the door behind you leads to Sehun’s.”
You looked over your shoulder and scowled at the door, before turning back to Mel. “I guess we should start the unpacking,” you announced, letting her lead the way into her new bedroom. The room, like the rest of the apartment was huge, with the only piece of furniture being the queen size bed in the middle of the room. Everything else was bare, the white walls featuring no artwork or decor.
As soon as you stepped inside, you almost tripped over a stack of boxes labelled bedroom. “Bloody hell Mel!” you exclaimed, taking the whole room in. There were boxes everywhere, covering practically every inch of the floor. “How do you have so much stuff?”
“Why are you acting so shocked?” Mel countered, dancing her way through the stacks of boxes all the while filling her glass up with champagne. “You know I’m a sentimental hoarder!”
You sighed heavily, your shoulders tensing up as you took in the enormity of the task. “I think we need to talk about getting you some professional help,” you teased, moving to the first box and opening it up.
One hour - and an empty bottle of champagne - later, you could see a bit more of the floor, now that half of Mel’s clothes were hanging up all organised in her built-in wardrobe. However the champagne had gone straight through you, making you jump to your feet. “I need the toilet,” you announced, hurrying out of Mel’s bedroom and up the corridor to the bathroom.
As you reached for the handle, the door peeled back, filling you with sour dread as it revealed the handsome smirk of Oh Sehun. Once again, his chocolate stare rolled up and down your body, leaving you feeling exposed. “Ah you’re still here!” he drawled, wrapping the towel he was using to dry his damp hair across his shoulders. Thankfully he was still clothed.
“It would appear so,” you replied unenthusiastically, rolling your eyes. You tried to move past him but he leaned his long body against the doorframe, blocking your way.
He pulled his bottom lip between his teeth and cocked his head to the side, looking at you like you were some sort of puzzle to solve. “You know, I think Chanyeol was wrong about you,” he continued, releasing his lip and running a small tongue across it.
Seriously what was this guy’s problem? “I’ll try to not lose sleep over it,” you replied, trying to sound completely uninterested, when inside your blood was boiling. “Could you move please?” you added, nodding your head for the bathroom.
Eventually he moved, only after giving you another long look as he sauntered past you. No doubt he was probably still looking, arrogantly trying to get the full view of you.
Huffing angrily, you stalked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind you, placing both hands on the edge of the basin while you stared at yourself in the mirror. You didn’t consider yourself as drop dead gorgeous but you weren’t ugly either. In fact you didn’t think your looks were anything to comment on.
But there was something about the arrogant Oh Sehun that got right under your skin and made your whole body go crazy. “Ugh I hate him!” you decided, turning away from the mirror and banishing the unsavoury thoughts of your best friend’s roommate from your mind.

Just a snippet.
The McCall pack was as bad as a bunch of old ladies when it came to gossip. Stiles, and surprisingly Corey, were the worse but everyone got involved when it was particularly juicy. In this case, the juice was the growing and baffling relationship between Liam and Theo.
Everyone was aware of it but nobody could really tell you when it happened. Even the two people themselves would probably pause and struggle with an answer before shrugging it off. It started off with the usual; near death experiences and too exhausted to function before collapsing on the nearest comfortable surface for a few hours. The first time had been Liam’s living room floor, the beta simply yanking the dragging chimera into the house before they softly tumbled to the floor. After that, they just gravitated towards each other.
Both would agree that it hadn’t been romantic or sexual in nature at all. In the beginning it had just happened because they had seen enough of the ugly parts of each other’s personalities that it was just easy to be themselves when it just the two of them. This caused some guilt on Liam’s side; he had friends that accepted him but there was always a part of him, the angriest, the most scared, that will always think they might abandon him if he loses control too much. Theo though, he took anything in stride, and was strong enough to handle any outcome without any judgement.
The chimera, well, Liam and Stiles had been the most upfront about how they felt regarding him. It just turned out that Liam was more forgiving. The little wolf naturally more easy going, more willing to look pass what had happened and instead focus on the future. Theo thought he was a weird combination of Scott and Stiles. It was comforting.
So they progress from being teamed up together for dangerous situations, to voluntarily joining. When things settled down as much as Beacon Hills will ever settle down, they started hanging out. They both enrolled in community college nearby. Theo because he refused to pay the ridiculous tuition fee for a university until he had to; he wasn’t even sure he wanted a four year, there were plenty of two year programs that had projected salaries and industry growth that would give him a more than comfortable life. Liam went because he didn’t get into Mason and Corey’s college, and despite his interest in history, he actually didn’t know what he wanted to do. Instead of figuring that out in an expensive dorm, he could continue living at home and work on the basic credits while figuring out his life.
Their classes would intermix. Theo would push Liam to study with him in the library after school. Liam pushed back that they needed to do it at his house because he couldn’t concentrate with all the extra noises. The chimera would roll his eyes but then make the twenty drive. Then they were carpooling; Liam would grumble but hang out in the cafeteria when Theo had evening shifts in the campus bookstore that was connected to it. He would shamelessly use Theo’s discount for his textbooks. Theo would sit out on one of the numerous campus covered picnic tables and study quietly when Liam got a part time job as a teacher’s aid.
Sure, they would run into a few other supernaturals but they were all students. They would nod a little at each other but then continue on with whatever they were doing. It was peaceful.
Neither had really taken the time to date. There hadn’t been much opportunity to even consider it when the hunters had been a problem. Then the post stress of waiting for the other shoe to drop. When it was apparent they were getting a reprieve, there was finishing high school and starting college. Jobs, and for Theo, finding a living situation that was more permanent than his truck. It had’t become a question or desire until they had finish their first year.
Theo had found a small house at the edge of town that backed up to the forest reserve. It had needed serious repairs, was a bitch commute every day, and was only a two bedroom one bath. Most important, with the small cushion of money he had leftover from his Dread Doctor days, he could buy it outright. He wanted it at first sight when they had pulled up on a Saturday. Why the beta had come along wasn’t questioned; he had just climbed in when Theo had shown up saying he was going to look at a house.
So their days off became days that they would fix up the small house. It was an interesting project, neither had ever done much house repair. One night as they argued over countertop samples in the Geyer’s kitchen, Liam’s dad, still Dr. Geyer to Theo despite the older man’s insistently telling him to call him David, had walked in and offered to help. From then on there were days when the three men would be hunched over Liam’s laptop - watching youtube videos on how to replaced a claw bathtub, fixtures, and other repairs.
Mrs. Geyer, by then she was just Judy to Theo, had bought two huge floor-to-ceiling bookcases and a beautiful leather loveseat as a house warming gift. Theo had argued that it was too much but she had simply brushed him off with a tight a hug and a murmured ‘proud of you’ that had the chimera hugging back just as tightly as he worked past a lump in his throat. The other two in the background trying to fix a leak in the kitchen sink.
They finished the living room first; one small wall holding the bookcases with the two-seater fitting perfectly between them. Theo had eyed Liam suspiciously as the former avoided his eye contact while grinning. Schemer. The walls had been panted soft browns and greens, matching the trees outside. Theo shot down Liam’s joking suggestion at adding some deer antlers. The bedroom was easier; large enough for a queen size boxspring and mattress - something Liam had seriously said would stay with the house if Theo ever moved because getting them into the room had been a event flavored with interestingly  chosen curse words and a brief fight.
After that, they studied at Theo’s house, Liam staying the night when it got too late to make the awful drive back. When this happened, they would share the bed, neither particularly bothered with the other being so close while they slept.
Slowly they filled the little home with things that were needed. Liam loved the kitchen with its old school oven, refrigerator, and cabinets. Theo gave up having an opinion on what happened to that room; letting Liam do whatever he wanted. He didn’t cook well enough to picky. He helped the wolf paint the walls a light teal and the cabinets a muted orange (an odd but somehow happy combo Liam had agonized over before deciding on). It didn’t clash with the faded white appliances at least. They replaced the single peeling laminate counter with a on-sale white granite that finished the theme. Theo installed wall mounts for the few skillets and pots Liam picked out while Liam filled the cabinets with food and drinks.
They scrounged estate and garage sales for a lot of the stuff. A decent small two person table that had a bonus leaf that could make it a four person that had two chairs and a bench was added in the small nook in the kitchen. Theo started filling his bookcases and Liam started on the second bedroom. This became a debate. Liam thought it should be a media room. Theo didn’t care but was confused on why the living room couldn’t have a tv? The beta’s answer was that when he wanted to game and Theo wanted to read they could help buffer the sound with a closed door. Plus two bookcases were going to fill up fast.
It hadn’t occurred to them that this house was more theirs than just Theo’s now. Judy had started joking that they so domestic together. The boys would scoff, even while they were heading out the door to pick up a television for the media room. Theo thought it was amusing that Liam insisted on calling it that, when the house only had two bedrooms and both were tiny but he went along with it. Just like he went along when Liam brought over his gaming systems.
There had been a lull while they searched for a way to get internet out to the remote place.
Luckily it had been installed before winter break. The house had a stove in the living room and they found that even if the power became shoddy in the winter, at least the stove could fill the whole house with heat.
It was during this time that the other pack members trickled back through town for the holidays. Suddenly Theo was looking up from his seat on the loveseat to see Liam opening the door with Mason and Corey trailing in behind him. The couple had been wide eyed an brimming with curiosity as the beta tossed his keys on the small table they put by the door for just that purpose, kicking off his shoes while motioning them to do the same. The chimera had watched as Liam had given them a short but thorough tour of the house; pointing out the kitchen, the new plush carpet they installed, the media room, the bathroom. Theo had taken remodeling the bathroom for himself, figured since Liam had the kitchen he could at least chose how he wanted the bathroom.
Not getting up from his spot, he simply listened as Liam showed them the new (a splurge Theo allowed himself) large claw tub with the fancy shower head Dr. Geyer had helped him install above. It had a setting that mimicked getting rained on and Theo loved it. It was also why he broke down and had the water heating system completely replaced. Something he would be making payments on for a long time but worth every cent. The sink had been easy. They had simply tore the old one out and replaced it with a pedestal sink. There had been some trial and error but eventually they figured out how to create shelves in the walls themselves; leaving the bathroom pretty minimal. Since Theo didn’t care what color it was painted he had let Judy pick out the color. The walls were a soft blue with fluffy white towels.
When Liam showed the bedroom, actually clean since Theo had picked up earlier that day, neither mentioned why there were two dressers. That each was on either side of the bed, no frame still, because each boy had their own. That Liam had most of his clothes here. Mason did notice Liam’s brand of shampoo and two toothbrushes in the bathroom but didn’t ask even though he was burning with the desire too.
After that, they all crowded into the media room, a name Corey agreed with Theo on being silly, and hung out playing games and watching movies for the day. It didn’t escape the two guests how Liam and Theo were comfortable being squished together on the large recliner while Corey and Mason shared the loveseat that had fit in there. Or that when Liam came back with popcorn and drinks he had simply moved the adult sized bean bag chair between Theo’s legs and plopped down. Chimera occasionally leaning over Liam’s shoulder to snitch some popcorn.
But they talked when they left. Suddenly Theo’s home was crowded with members of the McCall pack. Malia had unceremoniously burst through the door one day, followed with an apologetic (but curious) Scott, a loud Stiles, with a thoughtful Lydia getting pulled through by the hand. Liam and Theo had been discussing courses to take next when they came in.
That visit had been more direct, and shorter. Theo still slightly uncomfortable with Scott and Stiles. Malia softly hostile while Lydia was more curious about their classes and college then whether or not they were sleeping together. The last having been asked bluntly by both Stiles and Malia. The two had been caught off guard by that, saved from answering when Scott followed Lydia’s lead and started asking about school.
After they left, only when Lydia received a call from Parrish asking if they wanted to meet for dinner. A phone call that had Stiles growing quiet, and pensive while Lydia rolled her eyes. The old group left; not particularly aware of the crack they had created in Theo’s and Liam’s world.
That night Liam had gone to his parents house; something he hadn’t done in weeks. He had spent the night rolling around in his unused bed, trying to ignored the extra space he had because Theo was sprawled out next to him. Neither had thought their sleeping arrangement had been weird, but now that they pointed it out, it was. It was then Liam realized that neither had gone out with anyone since. Well in a year. This sent the beta into a spiral thoughts and realizations that made sure he didn’t get any sleep.
Theo didn’t have the crisis that Liam did. He was a pretty aware person when it came to his feelings and more importantly, his sexuality. Generally, the gender didn’t matter to Theo - being an experiment that involved two different animals and with the less than normal upbringing he was actually more open minded than a lot of people thought. What matter to him was more the connection he had with someone before sexual attraction. Which he was why he hadn’t bother to date many people. Or any if he was honest. The time spent doing normal human things had been enough for the chimera. To enjoy buying a house and fixing it up. Going to school and worrying about things like tests, project, and stuff. Waking up in a bed, having a real bathroom.
Besides, he knew he how felt about Liam. Had known for a long time. It hadn’t been an issue because he was okay with how things were now, how things were progressing. Really, Theo was more irritated with how the pack how gotten the beta to go to his parents house for the night instead of staying home. And it was their home now.
So when Theo had been woken up out of an uneasy sleep at two in the morning to the front door being open he had been more worried of what Liam was doing then at the possibility of an intruder. Instead of getting out of bed, he had tiredly sat up to watch the beta ease the bedroom door open, the small nightlight Liam had insisted the room have (it was a ridiculous yellow ducky that made the wolf smile every time he looked at it) slanting enough light to let Theo see pajamas.
It had been a surreal experience when the beta had remained silent, padding to his side of the bed to crawl under the covers. Theo expected maybe a denial, a refutal to the earlier questions and implications, he hadn’t expected Liam to wiggle up to him, wrap an arm around his waist, and promptly fall asleep with a sigh of contentment.
After that, they didn’t bother to act like Liam didn’t live with Theo. It almost seemed to be a relief when they told Judy and David - Liam’s mom laughing before wondering out loud why it took them so long and handing them a plate of her homemade snickerdoodles while making them promise to come over for Christmas dinner. Theo blushing at the soft kiss she gave him on the cheek as they were leaving
They didn’t tell the pack. Liam didn’t think they should have to announce themselves because it wasn’t anyone’s business. Theo agreed but did urge the wolf to at least tell Scott and Mason. The two people who mattered most to the beta. Liam grudgingly had agreed, slinking out the back door to make the phone calls while Theo listened at the window while munching on the cookies.
The next time the pack came over; it was all together and it was Christmas eve. This was when the two realize how much gossip the pack did. While they played board games at the crowded dinner table, Liam and Mason had fun baking cookies and pies in the kitchen. After a ridiculous game of Uno, Corey and Theo abandon the gaming table to decorate the cookies that had cooled. Theo eating more than he was decorating.
It was only when after a brief frosting fight with Corey that ended up with both Chimera’s faces covered in various color of sugar stickiness, did the question of Liam and Theo’s relationship get resolved. Liam had, laughing at the state of the two, snapped a quick photo before reaching up to wiped a particularly large goop off Theo’s forehead. The chimera had smirked before swooping down to land a quick kiss on the werewolf’s lips - leaving a colorful imprint behind. Liam had pushed him away laughing and grumbling, before shoving him and a laughing Corey towards the bathroom to wash up. Leaving the beta to fend off the exploding questions from Stiles.
It was a slow courtship, a word Lydia used and Theo scoffed at. More like, once school started, along with their jobs, they were busy again. Besides, Theo was never going to be a romantic wooing significant other. And he refused to be called partner or boyfriend. Partner was used for fighting supernatural baddies, and he wasn’t a partner, he was a half to a whole. That’s how relationships were for him, at least this one. If he was pressed for a term, which he wasn’t but if he was, he would probably say they were best friends. He knew that wasn’t accurate but the friendship was more important to Theo than whatever a romantic-ship was. Not that he didn’t the physical aspect of a relationship, because he loved that. But that came later, and slower, savoring each new aspect.
Liam, well, Liam was fine with just not labeling it. They were together and it didn’t necessarily need a title for him to be happy. His dad liked titles though, so when they had been over for a Friday night dinner, the beta had surprised the chimera and his parents when he said if they had to be called something then it can be committed.

Growing Fame (1/??)
summary: A modern AU where the losers are semi-famous for different things, and when they all run into each other at a certain event, all of their fans go bat-shit crazy – wanting the seven to spend more time together. What they didn’t expect even more than that, though, was a well-known and mean journalist to write bad reviews on them all. Their growing fame could soon shrink, they quickly realized. warnings: nothing, really; swearing. pairings: not yet decided a/n: I am excited for this, not gonna lie. To sum up the reasont that they’re famous: Most of the losers are YouTubers. Stan, Eddie, and Bill are this funny famous trio who used to be on Vine. Bev is a make up/FX artist. Mike is a singer on YouTube who’s slowly getting famous. Richie’s in a band. & Ben makes educational history vids with the occasional blog of him & Mike together bc they’re bffs. Hope you guys enjoy!!
oh & this is like 2.4k words, so beware bc its a bit long.
CH 1 | CH 2 | CH 3
Day Off
Mike Hanlon laid on the couch in his apartment – head propped up by cushion, a guitar on his stomach, clothes mismatched from being lazy, and his golden retriever laying beside the couch while the black cat was curled between his feet. He strummed the guitar and hummed a tune of one of his songs with his eyes closed. He was simply relaxing, enjoying the time by himself with his two lovely pets. He could faintly hear his friend in the guest bedroom, an occasional yell being heard that made Mike halt his strumming for a short second before starting again. The dark skinned male had no idea what his friend was doing but he didn’t matter. He had a day off.
A day off from working his ass off to get his EP done for his fans – a surprise for them, actually. Mike was a singer/song writer on YouTube who had just recently been signed a record label deal for the next five years. He had been working on the EP before, but now it’s basically officially official that it will all happen. The work was tiresome, surprisingly. He stood in a studio all day, singing his heart out, and it was fun, don’t worry, but he just couldn’t help but feel that he needed everything for it to be perfect. Besides, he needed one more song plus the name for the EP and he had no idea what to do for those two things.
He was in a writing slump and all the names for EP he came up with sounded idiotic. But he had to admit that this all beat working at the family farm. He loved it there, too; he loved all the animals and spending time with family. But he also loved music, and once his grandfather agreed that Mike could give the music career a go, he was ecstatic.
Mike halted his strumming and humming once again as the guest bed room flung open. His eyes opened as well when the sound of footsteps were heard to be coming closer, and as Sandy the golden retriever lifted her head. Not too soon later, Ben Hanscom stood in the living room with a fowl expression and crossed arms. It was rare to see Ben so upset at somethings, so Mike quickly sat up.
Ben and Mike had been friends ever since they started college together a couple years ago. At the time, Mike was working on becoming an engineer with the side job of music - just playing at little venues to get the money with the occasional video up on YouTube just like he had done in high school. But once his videos got more popular and as he realized that music could be his career, he focused more on the music. Still, though, he was working on a minor in engineering with a major for general studies. It wasn’t too much to handle.
Ben had become Mike’s roommate. He was in love, and still is, with history. All his life he had been fascinated by it, and he was glad to know Mike didn’t find it annoying; the boy actually agreed. At some point in time he started putting up videos explaining history and doing little cartoons along with it; the first video got pretty popular pretty quickly, surprising both boys, and now two years later Ben has a contract with a company that pays him. He posts explanatory and educational videos of history. He also has a vlog, just posting there once in a while when there’s a longer time period in between videos.
So, the two boys knew each other pretty well. After two years of dealing with each other, becoming close friends, and slowly rising to popularity together, both of them noticed what made the other tick. What made them annoyed, or happy, or scared, or angry. So Mike Hanlon was pretty quick to pick up on Ben Hanscom’s annoyance.
“Dude, everything okay?” Mike asked carefully, making sure not to accidentally kick Salem (yes he named the cat after the black cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, okay?) as he moved his legs. Salem was quick to leave.
“We need to go to comic con this year.”
Mike stared for a moment before cracking a smile. “Is that why you’re pissed?” He asked.
“Mike, we missed last year, okay? We can’t miss two years in a row! I need to dress up as Star Lord at least once in my life without getting weird looks and to geek over Game of Throwns with other people.”
“I geek about it.”
“You complain about the nudity.”
“Well, I watch the show for the action; not the sex scenes!”
For a few seconds the two twenty year olds were quiet, staring at one another, waiting to see if the conversation was going to turn into a debate that they usually had when Game of Throwns was brought up. Was there too much nudity in the show? Mike often with yes, most of the time, while Ben said it was fine; they once got in an argument about it in a public place and the looks they got made them regret having being so loud about it.
Thankfully, though, neither boy continued on with the subject. Ben uncrossed his arms and shrugged as he said, “Anyway, we’re going to comic con.”
“Alright, fine. Need me to buy the tickets?”
“Ah, no, I have the money. Thanks for offering, though, Mike,” Ben told him.
The taller boy gave a smile and nodded. “Welcome, B.”
“Hey, guys, I have a day off from school and work and editing videos, so here I am doing a live stream! With Stan and Bill!”
“I was forced into this,” Stanley Uris’ voice sounded as he situated himself in front of the propped up phone. He gave a small glare to Eddie Kaspbrak but at seeing the smaller boy smile innocently at him, he rolled eyes and smiled back. “It’s barely started and I already regret this.”
“Aw S-Stan, it won’t even last th-thuh-thirty minutes,” Bill Denbrough said. He refrained from making a face as he stuttered; most of the time he didn’t now a days, but once in a while it would pop up. Stan glanced over at him and shrugged. He had already sat down on the other side of Eddie, one arm thrown around the back of Eddie’s chair and the other in his lap as he held his phone.
The three boys were known for goofing off in front of the camera together on YouTube. It used to be Vines, once upon a time. Bill and Eddie started out there and soon Stan joined and they had both separate accounts and a joint account where they would constantly make stupid yet funny videos together. They got pretty famous, too, so once Vine ceased to exist, they moved on YouTube. Still stupid but funny. Once in a while ranting videos. An occasional vlog here and there. Then the rare live stream, something Eddie decided to do today.
“Anyway, we are here to answer some questions!” Eddie exclaimed, clapping his hands together and giving a smile. “So ask away.”
Bill leaned forward to read one of the many comments.  “ ‘BILL’,” he paused and laughed at the fact that his name was in all caps, “ ‘What’s is like living with Stan and Eddie?’ Oh, wow- o-okay. Not that bad, actually. They’re both nice and neat people. I’m the messy one, they clean up after me a lot.”
“No one likes your dirty socks under the couch, William,” Stan informed him with a teasing attitude. Bill flipped him off but they all laughed.
“ ‘When will Bill’s book be done’?” Stan read the next question. He then turned to look at Bill, who gave a shrug and a nod. Stan nodded back before answering. “Sometime in November! We’re excited about it. Bill won’t let us read it until then, so we’ve been stuck to waiting with you guys.”
“It’s a surprise, idiots,” the tallest male explained.
They then went on and answered more questions. Are you guys going to comic con in 2 weeks? The answer was an enthusiastic yes from all three boys. When will we get another video of Stan with the birds? Stan had answered sometime soon, when the raining whether outside was sunshine instead. Then they got questions about the different types of birds and Stan grinned the entire time answering the ones he could. Then Eddie answered one about how his nursing major was going; despite being popular in the media, Eddie still went to school.
They all did. He didn’t want to be left in the dust, having to work random jobs, when they decide to stop making videos, so he decided nursing would do just fine. Bill majored in English and constantly had papers to write, but still somehow found time to write his upcoming book and make videos with his two friends, even sometimes his little brother, Georgie, back at home. Stan decided to just do general studies but then also decided to minor in World Religions. Between all of that, he also had a wide knowledge of birds.
“ ‘Favorite bands’?” Eddie read one of the comments after complaining about his lack of sleep. “Imagine Dragons,” he quickly answered.
“The Records,” Bill said at the same time, excitement evident on his features and in his voice.
“Who the fuck are The Records?” Stan asked.
Eddie pointed at their Jewish friend, “I’m with Stan on this one.”
Bill grinned. “Remember that guy I told you about who made dick jokes and your mom jokes a lot at my high school?”
“Oh, no,” Eddie groaned with a grimace on his face.
Stanley frowned and rolled his eyes. “Your best friend until you came here?”
“He’s still my best friend! I’m bitter that you guys haven’t met him yet, but he’s in a band called The Records. He’s the lead singer, too, and they’re good. They got a record deal last year and they’ve been getting more popular since.”
“Huh,” came from both Eddie and Stan.
“Maybe I’ll give them a listen,” Stan muttered.
“He sounds annoying from all the things you’ve told us about it. But good for his band, I guess,” Eddie said. He glanced at his phone and chuckled at one of the comments. My aesthetic: Bill gushing about his friends and promoting them. He read it out loud, which just caused everyone to laugh and agree with the fan.
Shortly after, the livestream on Instagram ended and three boys piled out of the apartment and went to dinner.
Richie Tozier was grinning from ear to ear by the end of the live stream that had his best friend in it - the best friend that wasn’t Beverly Marsh, of course. He laughed slightly and laid across his bed. It was no secret that Richie watched every livestream, YouTube video, vlog, or whatever that Bill Denbrough was in; they were best friends in high school and supported each other then. He wasn’t going to stop supporting the guy now just because they lived in different cities.
(And, no, he wasn’t watching the smaller boy’s videos daily; just the one’s with Bill. He didn’t follow Eddie Kaspbrak on all social media platforms, either, no he did not).
(Fucking liar).
Richie went to the message app and sent Bill a text.
to Big Bill: aw bill u sure ur not in love with me???
He got a quick response.
from Big Bill: i’m in love with chicken wings, rich, how many times do we have to discuss this
to Big Bill: until the die I day to Big Bill: wait to Big Bill: until the day I die!
from Big Bill: fucking hell
Richie laughed and exited out of the app. He was about to go onto Twitter, to see if there was any drama regarding anything interesting, when his door flung open to reveal his redheaded best friend standing there with a pissed off expression. Richie raised an eyebrow. She should be on a date; he should be having the rest of the day to himself. He quickly sat up and rolled off of his bed and walked over to Beverly.
“Bev, what happened?” He asked. He could slowly feel himself getting pissed at whatever the situation was.
Beverly Marsh was like his sister and damned be any girl or guy who hurt her feelings. They met a year ago, outside of the a club after being kicked out for being underage. Ever since then, they’ve been inseparable. They got an apartment together not even three months after knowing each other; that’s how well they got along. Of course, though, they got into their little quarrels and fights but not once did they say they hated the other or that they wanted to move out. There was like an unspoken agreement to never say those words.
“Do I need to fight her? I will, just say the word!”
Beverly rolled her eyes yet there was a tiny smile on her lips that soon vanished as quick as it came. The scowl was back and Richie could faintly see tears building up in her eyes. “She didn’t fucking show,” she seethed out finally. “I mean, last time she had actually came and gave an explanation before leaving right after. But this time she fucking- I sat there for nearly two hours! It was humiliating, Rich.”
Richie sighed and extended his arms. “Do you need a hug?”
“No,” Bev shook her head. But she glanced up and slouched her shoulders at seeing the look on Richie’s face. “Fine,” she sighed. She was then instantly pulled into a bone crushing hug by the lead singer of The Records. She didn’t hesitate to hug back. “I’m going to go plan out my next make up video later. Can I do yours again sometime soon?”
“Sure can, Bev. Oh, and guess what I got tickets for today,” Richie told her. A smirk formed on his lips.
Beverly pulled away from the hug and looked up at him after wiping under her eyes. She had blinked back most of the tears but still some leaked out.
“Dude, no way?” She asked, excited about it all even though Richie didn’t actually say the words. They have both been talking about it for days now, not knowing if they could actually get tickets.
“Yes way! Get your costume ready, Miss Marsh, because we’re going to comic con!”

Dumbo flea market
3pm oct 7 2018
Muggy day
Flea market is very busy
Went up to a few people who said they were too busy
Walked further in to the flea market
Lisa Ferrari-Sullivan owns a vintage clothing store called “Pimbeche Vintage”
Me: What's your name?
Lisa: My name is Lisa Ferrari-Sulivan
Me: And what is the business called?
Lisa: It’s called “Pimbeche Vintage”
Me: I can take breaks or pause the recording if you need to talk to people
Me: When did it start?
Lisa: Well, I started probably like seven years ago
Me: So did you just start coming to the flea market here?
Lisa: I’ve been collecting vintage for probably over ten years
Me: Oh wow
Lisa: Maybe fifteen years. Then I just decided kind of to sell it.
Me: Where do you find your clothes?
Lisa: Everywhere! I go to thrift shops I go to estate sales, I go to auctions
Me: So do you just travel and do it or have you been to the Washington Square Park market? Or anything like that?
Lisa: No, I travel. I travel around to different areas
Me: In New York City?
Lisa: And just all over.
Me: Do you live here?
Lisa: I live in Queens
Me: You’re trying to open a shop right?
Lisa: Maybe eventually, yes.
Me: Do you have a specific thing you look for whenever you’re trying to find clothes?
Lisa: Quality.
Me: What type of thrift shops do  you go to? Do you find them at Goodwill….
Lisa: All different ones. It doesn’t matter, I  usually find one or two things wherever I go.
Me: Does it sell well here?
Lisa: Yes, usually I do pretty well there's slow days and good days but today hasnt been a very good day.
Me: What made you start wanting to do this though?
Lisa: I started to accumulate a lot of stuff because I was collecting vintage and it kind of took over. I was working full time, then I got married and had kids and thought “okay I need something I can do part time” and it just kind of worked out.
Me: You want to open up a store, have you thought about where?
Lisa: Maybe somewhere in Queens, I feel like there's not a lot of it there
Me: Bushwick would be good too, there's a lot of young people in Bushwick
Me: What drew you towards clothing?
Lisa: Well I worked in the fashion industry, I have a business degree I didn't study fashion per say but I worked in the commercial offices for a lot of french companies so then i was doing that full time then when I got married and had kids I thought I needed to do something but I was a stay at home mom
Me: So you wanted a side job
Lisa: Right and then this took off
Me: So now it's working pretty well
Me: And expanding?
Lisa: I hope too
Me: Have you looked at depop do you know that shop
Lisa: No i don't
Me: It's like etsy, you sell to a younger crowd
Lisa: Oh that could actually work because i sell to younger customers
Me: Do you have a certain type of vintage that you lean towards? Like grunge, 80s?
Lisa: I personally love older things from the 30s or 40s but those things are very delicate, I dont bring them here and they don't sell as well as the grunge and the 90s
Me: So that's what sells very well
Lisa: Definitely and a bunch of 90s dresses more of a grunge look. So I guess because thats what in the mainstream right now
Me: Do you add yourself to it? Does it have aspects of you?
Lisa: I do because I like glamours things so i throw that in there to mix it up and let people decide for themselves
Me: So is fashion your passion?
Lisa: Ya i'm really good at buying but i'm not very good at selling I love buying it and I know what to get.
Me: How long has this been around though
Lisa: Here, I’ve been doing the brooklyn flea almost 6 years now I think So it's doing very well I like it.
Me: Have you ever had to deal with anybody trying to steal anything?
Lisa: Yeah i had a bunch of bags stolen a couple weeks ago
Me: How do you stop that?
Lisa: I try to look but i'm not very observant
Me: Where do you find the handbags?
Lisa: The same places
Me: Were you fashionable when you were younger
Lisa: When i was working in the fashion industry I had to step up my game because you have to look put together I was fashionable when i was younger too but a lot of the stuff i’m selling now I wouldn’t have worn in the 90s which is funny but its cool some of the dresses that i actually see on girls look super cool but they didn't look cool back then.
Interview 2
Danielle and Jamie of Positive Times
A:What's your company called?
D: It’s called positive times we started about four years ago
A: How did you get started
D: We started off as a jewelry company we played around in our parents basements then it escalated to the point where we now have a studio in greenpoint
It started off as jewelry and now we offer home goods so we have either beauty products which we have our new line of nail polishes which contain crystal dust in them if you want to talk about that a little bit because that's your-
J: oh so the moonstone nail polish has real moonstone in it nail polish and it's also free from the ten most harmful chemicals that are normally found in nail polish
A: How did you pick the crystals to go in it
D: so each crystals have its own properties that go in it
Example amethyst has insight if you want to bring more insight into your life rose quartz is love and hope we talk about the properties, we offer cards that tell you about the properties and we say that if you find a stone you’re drawn towards than that's the one you should choose
A: How did you guys get started with that part of the jewelry
D:It started with the jewelry our jewelry has  crystals in it in our personal lives we keep crystals around throw it in some water to charge them We both when we were younger collected a lot of stones i would go on family trips to national parks and to the south west so i always liked crystals and it played a part in my life later because and influenced my career path because i went to school for education and earth science and took a lot of geology classes that had a lot to do with minerals and the way they form in the earth and then that kind of escalated
A: How do you guys know each other
D: We are actually friends from middle school, we’ve been friends for over fifteen years now
A: So you chose the business then you chose her as a partner
D: The jewelry started because we both have allergies to certain things i can only wear sterling silver or 14 carat gold so we made sure all our jewelry had that then we also have very odd sized fingers i have very small fingers and she has bigger ring sizes so we just decided to make our own jewelry and then it kind of escalated from there we were making simple things and now we’re actually using torches and shaping things and using different tools to make it more sturdy
A: How long does it take to make things like the necklace
J : we have an assembly line so it's not a certain time
D: But it is a process because we have to shape the brass, punch a hole in the brass sand the brass and then we make the thing to hold the crystals in and then we obviously have to add the chain
How did you guys learn to do this?
J: youtube university
A: Has it been pretty successful?
D: Yeah it's also been quite a ride it's definitely taking off
A:How did it start?
D: Just kind of friends and family were purchasing and then it escalated, we have a website and do flea markets and pop up shops and we are in storefronts too we don't have a store but that would be the goal it'd be really nice but right now we just have a studio and sell to shops out of brooklyn and out of new jersey
How long have you been doing it?
J: We started making the jewelry around six years ago the business about five years ago
A: Did you start the business by going to flea markets?
D: Yeah
A: Do you have to have a license to do that?
D: Yes 100% you have to register with the sales tax you have to pay taxes you get insurance too to sell as well
A: You guys are really young how did you decide you wanted to do this instead of other things?
D: I dont know, we still have our day jobs but we do this on the weekends
A: What's your day jobs?
D: I work with kids she's a graphic designer that also molded how we do our packaging
J:  If were being honest this started because i designed a logo which we had nothing to do with
D: It was a plus and an X and we got positive times from there
A: Do you guys have a big group of buyers?
D: Yeah we do most of our advertisement is on social media its the best way to get publicity I couldn't imagine not knowing how to use social media especially in a business.
A: Are there a lot of online orders
D: Yeah we get a lot of online orders it's nice to see when its not people we know. We’re coming out with a new fall line our nail polishes will be darker and deeper tones which are more appropriate for fall and winter
A: Do you have a place in the county where you have a lot of sales?
D: Mostly california and nyc people like to shop locally we have a lot o orders in California
A: How old are yall
D: We’re turning 30 in a month

United kingdom net advert spend passes £10bn as Google faces YouTube row
Internet advertising spends surged above £10bn within the United kingdom final yr as organizations more than doubled the amount they spent on cell video ads.
The yr-on-yr increase of 17% on 2015 comes as many advertisers have pulled campaigns from Google and YouTube after it emerged that a few advertisements had been running around inappropriate content which includes extremist motion pictures.
Loads of advertisers have “paused” spending on YouTube – wherein four hundred hours of movies are uploaded every minute – which has pledged to tighten controls on in which ads appear, inclusive of by using banning them jogging on accounts with fewer than 10,000 viewers.
“People are more and more the use of their smartphones to observe greater clips, programs, and films,” stated James Chandler, the leader marketing officer on the internet advertising Bureau United kingdom, which published the annual digital ad spend file. “Therefore, as groups ought to observe what the enterprise calls ‘eyeballs’ to get their ads in front of Humans, they ought to allocate extra budget to mobile and online video as that’s in which Human beings are spending greater time.”
“Proper now, issues together with emblem safety imply the advertiser is rightly worrying extra actuality in the placement in their advertisements,” said Dan Bunyan, senior supervisor at %, which produced the file with the IAB. “The industry is evolving quickly to discover new solutions to deal with manufacturers’ needs in this dynamic surroundings.”
The Conservative MP Nigel Huddleston, a member of the Commons tradition, media and game pick out committee, stated: “With massive scale comes large duty. They want to take the concerns of advertisers and most people some distance extra critically than they have got proven in the past. They need to get their act collectively and make sure they do a better task at improving blockading beside the point content.”
Flattening The yank internet
Having access to information and interactive sources available around the world through the internet is a quite easy project. In a carefree internet global, the dynamics of connecting to assets are transparent, and we anticipate resources we need to access are to be had through our local internet carrier issue. Technical details of connecting to net resources are a summary concept for maximum, and something mechanics happens behind the curtain are not applicable to our ordinary use of the network.
Because the internet is made from a complex matrix of bodily, business and international relationships, how these systems have interaction and collaborate is clearly very important to the end person, as well as to the ones imparting internet offerings and content material. Of the greatest difficulty impacting on-line resources from eBay to the Bank of The us is the capacity economic stress introduced on with the aid of the biggest Tier 1 networks. As the simplest networks inside the international having international internet visibility, these few agencies, consisting of AT&T, Dash, Verizon, Level 3, and Cable and Wireless, facilitate get entry to the worldwide internet – a function which People and businesses international depend upon to ensure small networks and content material providers are to be had through their local service carriers.
The Tier 1 world changed into born at the demise of NSFNet (Countrywide Technological know-how Foundation community). within the early days of net development, the NSF-supported the improvement of a huge publicly funded educational and studies community for the duration of the united states and connecting many foreign academic networks to America as a hub via the global Connections supervisor (ICM network). As commercial internet development grew inside the early 1990s, the NSF found out it became time to lower back far from publicly funding the “net” and supply contracts to big US companies to take over duty for the previous US Home backbone and ICM quantities of the NSFNet.
Small net change factors (IXPs) have been also funded, allowing the big networks taking on NSFNet property, as well as their own industrial Internets to attach and percentage net site visitors. those network access factors (NAPs) were also shrunk to the huge US carriers, who controlled regulations for US and worldwide network trade. The large US providers ultimately had manage of the networks and were the original Tier, 1 net vendors.
Roadblocks in the internet Network
Debates around internet neutrality spotlight some underlying troubles. The intention of net neutrality is to keep the open and interconnected nature of the general public internet. But whether or not the largest networks use their control to preclude boom and innovation inside the internet join business Community or hinder unfastened get entry to to net-linked content resources, they have the electricity and manage which could present demanding situations to an open net surroundings.
A Tier 1 community, for example, has the energy to rate a major content material shipping community (CDN) a top class to access its community. This is Due to the fact the CDN might also supply a very large quantity of content traffic right into a community, and the Tier 1 network believes they should get hold of additional repayment to fund additional capability needed to assist content distribution. This premium can be more money than the CDN is willing or capable of pay. In turn, if the CDN would not comply, the Tier 1 can in the long run refuse the CDN get admission to to its network and cut its clients get admission to to the CDN’s content material. This is applicable whether or not consumers get entry to the Tier 1 directly or if the Tier 1 is the center-community between customers and their Tier 2 or 3 networks.
A voice over internet Protocol Employer underscores any other capacity conflict of hobby. Let’s say you’re a customer of a Tier 1 network this is also a phone Enterprise and you need to use a VoIP Employer, together with Vonage. But the Tier 1 would not need the VoIP Enterprise to compete with its network and could as an alternative that you use its own telephone product, so the Tier 1 may prevent you from the usage of your VoIP Agency. In different phrases, a Tier 1, in growing its personal industrial VoIP product, can prevent non-owned VoIP site visitors from passing thru its community.
Even as Tier 1 networks hold price for an awful lot of the net world, additionally they impose many political and monetary barriers on smaller networks, content shipping networks, rising VoIP corporations, online gaming corporations, B2B and online trade, and leisure web web sites. It’s far obtrusive that internet carrier providers (ISPs), CDNs, VoIPs, and many others want an opportunity method of communicating with each other – one imparting equipment to redecorate how relationships and interconnections bond the united states internet content and get admission to communities.
Breaking Down boundaries
One goal in building performance and the overall performance needed to supply content assets to quit users is to flatten existing net structure. Whenever feasible, you put off the Tier 1 internet networks from taking part inside the delivery of content material sources to give up customers.
How can we accomplish this assignment? One choice is through improvement and use of industrial internet alternate points (IXPs), a vicinity in which many internet-enabled networks and content assets meet to interconnect with each other as friends.
In step with Wikipedia, an IXP is a bodily infrastructure that permits one-of-a-kind internet service vendors to trade internet site visitors between their networks (self-sufficient systems) by means of mutual peering agreements, which permits traffic to be exchanged without value. An IXP is essentially a bodily switch in a service motel or statistics middle with the capability to attach lots of networks together, whether content material providers or community providers.
Nowadays on the Any2 change, an IXP built within One Wilshire, on a unmarried switch one hundred twenty-five distinct networks interconnect and are freely capable of bypass traffic amongst each other while not having to go to a Tier 1 for routing. Contributors pay a small annual charge to the Any2 trade for the one-time connection and then benefit from the “peering” relationships among Members of the net exchange.
Akamai, as an instance, a large content material distribution network Corporation that provides streaming media and movies on call for, can hook up with American internet offerings, a Tier three ISP in San Diego, Calif., through a neighborhood or regional internet trade point such as the Any2 change, the Palo Alto net trade (PAIX), or different big alternate factors operated by way of statistics centers and service inns.
Whilst an American net services user wants to watch a film it truly is to be had on Akamai’s content material transport network, the records is handed at once from Akamai to American internet offerings – and ultimately to the quit consumer – with out transiting some other network. No longer most effective has the goal of being less reliant on a Tier 1 been completed, But the performance is advanced Due to the fact there aren’t any “hops” among the CSP and ISP. Anytime you’re able to reduce out the transit network, you growth the stop consumer experience. Plus, it’s extra reasonably priced, as in moist instances the CDN and ISP haven’t any monetary settlement for facts exchanged.
The European IXP version, which is greater mature and sturdy than America version, highlights the vital characteristic of IXPs and the way an change factor on my own can assist have an impact on the internet neutrality debate. In Europe, internet provider companies and content material delivery networks look to the IXP as their first connection factor and if the IXP does not have what they are seeking out, best then will they visit a Tier 1 or big Tier 2. Americans alternatively, partly because of geographic length

K. Sparks: Things Aren’t What They “Post” To Be (Blog)
Tumblr media
I haven't been compelled to blog in a long time. Today's era has been reduced to tweets, doing it for the vine, throwing it on the gram' and snap chatting. A well thought out post that exceeds 140 characters has seemingly become obsolete. Nonetheless every now and then I get the urge like your old uncle that has absoultely no business on the basketball court hoopin, but finds himself getting crossed over. Fortunately for me I still got it like Uncle Drew.
Recently one of my friends quit music. She’s a talented singer/performer and in all honesty better than most mediocre singers you hear on mainstream radio. When she sings you feel it in your soul, placing passion mixed with intonation and just the right amount of connotation within her vocals. In the words of old black women in pentecostal store front churches on Sundays, that girl can sang. Last year when I was piecing together my album ‘Seasons Theme’ I had written a few hooks and had her lay some sample jazz riff vocals. Once we finished recording we began discussing music, song placement, business and other dynamics. When I asked her what she is presently working on the conversation shifted, disheartened she stated...
‘I stopped doing music. Nowadays I only do session work’
Completely taken back, my natural and initial response was why because she has a natural gift. Some musicians have to work at their craft to get better while others are just naturally dope, she being the latter. Plus we’ve been working together for a while over my past few projects. Her response was simply this...
‘I make $750 monthly from music. Artist like Drake are selling millions. It’s not worth it’
And just like that she summed up her life’s dream and passion within four simple words ‘It’s not worth it’. Years of diligence, studio hours and performances to arrive here. This is where our conversation commenced. What started as a routine recording session in my studio turned into a three hour therapy session about; perspective.
Tumblr media
Perspective is a funny thing. Regardless of sex, race, age or profession one thing is certain, ultimately we live and die by perspective. How you view the world is a reflection of how you see yourself, and if you’re not careful that can and will shape your daily actions. Those daily actions will indefinitely determine your future. The man that takes the bus to work everyday envy’s the man with a car because he wants to drive. On the flip side, the man with a car may envy the man that takes the bus to work everyday because he has to pay a car note, insurance, and battle traffic everyday. That’s perspective.  As we spoke further I began to realize her perspective was off. She had embraced a negative and defeat-us attitude that it’s nearly impossible for an independent artist to succeed in the present musical climate of Major Labels that fund artist with radio play, promotional budgets, and buy their own albums to boost sales. The first thing I explained is that...
‘In order for anyone to determine success you must first determine what success means for you’
And when I say you, I truly mean you. For example, an independent artist may look at Drake and envy his level of success. I’m not taking anything away from that. But let’s entertain numbers. On Facebook Drake has over 35,000,000 Likes. And for his Views album set a record at 245.1 million streams. Pretty big numbers. But album sales for Views were only 4.14 million. That number isn’t bad by any standard in todays deplorable music climate. But it does show a large disparity when it comes to people that purchase music versus people that simply like artist social media pages. That means out of 35 million Likes only 4.14 million of those translated into sales. If everyone purchased his music sales would be way more massive, basing this upon his social media following. Which brought me back to my point, perspective.
‘Don’t be fooled, things aren’t what they “post” to be’
If major artist can't get the majority of fans to purchase their music what makes you think an independent musician is any different. My friend had 1000 Likes on her Facebook artist page before she deleted it, which means that a monthly income of $750 equated to a 75% return on her fan base. Now although those are not Drake sales numbers, technically speaking her percentage is better. See the perspective. When you view yourself against unrealistic expectations things don't add up. However when you apply realistic perspective things make sense. An independent musician that is able to write, package, distribute and retain ownership of their content is in a powerful position. I then began to discuss the power of Influencer Marketing. Yearly I do tons of ghost writing which leads to music placements in commercials, movies and etc. A perfect example of this is a song I recorded a few years ago with my brother Ahmad. He's best know for recording his hit song ‘Back In The Day’ released under Warner Bros Records.
Tumblr media
We connected to record my single entitled ‘Black Magic’. After building back and forth about the concept we agreed to discuss the topic of shady record label business, how most people’s favorite rappers are poor, and the Ins & Outs of 360 deals taking advantage of musicians. We released the song and didn't think much of it until something strange started to happen. I started noticing the song getting significantly more traction and fans requesting to purchase the record. I wasn't sure where the random influx was coming from until I saw this posting on Youtube.
Tumblr media
Chris Ramsay utilized the song in one of his card trick videos which amassed over one million views. If you notice above you can clearly see he has 140,671 subscribers to his Youtube Channel. The video has gained 1,078,094 views. Thus the influx. Also, there was an increase in demand for my single ‘Blindfolds’ from my album ‘Self Portrait’ once Monster Energy and Marie Claire, and movie directors began purchasing the single to utilize in their commercial ads like the Toyota BMX Triple Challenge, Victoria Secret Super Model Elsa Hosk, Model Shanina Shaik, and countless others.
Tumblr media
In a nut shell Influencer Marketing is when brands that have massive followings utilize your content. In music industry terms we call this a co sign. It's no different than if Jay Z or 50 Cent featured on your song, they are now giving you their coveted stamp of approval, which in turn puts an entire new demographic of fans they have on to your content. Songs you think are old, played out and no longer relevant can possibly take off. Look at Raphael Saadiq’s song Good Man that was released in 2011. By industry standards that song is old news. But thanks to the Netflix show Luke Cage, they utilized the song in their show and once again the song is revitalized. Read the comments “Luke Cage brought me here”. Influencer Marketing with brand power can cause excellent rewards for musicians. Once I started doing music placements I became connected with power brands to record music. I noticed things began to shift in a positive way, the energy was different. My content was no longer isolated to the underground, new opportunities began to generate within additional corporations, movies, and commercials until I started doing over 100 placements yearly from content. I have over 500 songs within my music catalogue and continue to create content at my own pace, making what I want when I want. The whole purpose is to have fun doing what you love to do, which is music; while generating revenue. Within this same conversation I also explained the beautiful part about music placements is that musicians get paid on the front end from the company that needs music, and also on the back end from mechanical royalties, publishing and music sales. When people hear content within commercials they always seek to purchase the content. If you read the c section, comments always request to know "what song is this?" or "who is the artist?". It’s the automatic win.
But let me pause and digress. There is another dynamic that plays a key role in musicians being successful in regards to placements, and once again I revert back to perspective. When placing music and pitching music to companies be mindful that this is like the NBA, you're only as good as your last performance, people will disregard and doubt you. I've seen it time and time again when individuals become that quintessential rapper, singer or producer that feels because they got one song or beat placed they have arrived and will now see residual income indefinitely from that one placement. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and this will break your heart worse than Musiq Soul Child creating his alter ego The Husel and making bad trap music now, oh the tragedy indeed. If you are that type of person quit now, ctrl + alt + del your career because that is a losers mentality. The name of the game is hard work, and you have to be consistently good. Think about it like this, you get a beat placed once and don't create any new content. Every day that passes there are young talented and hungry producers that attend community college full time, drink Star Bucks late’s and live off they momma cranking out beats quicker than Devante made Timbaland and Missy do in his basement before they were famous. Remember that time Jay Z was talking about the kid with the Apple Jacks. It's real, he’s real; and he already surpassed you. So get with it or get left behind.
Needless to say, at the end of our therapy session my friend had several laughs, a renewed thought process in regards to not only music, but ultimately her perspective which led to her recording the hook on this song.
Tumblr media
When you leave money on the table, the waitress cleans up...
So many artist are leaving money on the table and have no clue. Have you ever heard of Perrin Lamb. Chances are that would be a firm no because he's not as famous as the Justin boys (Timberlake or Bieber) and doesn't tour consistently across the country selling merchandise to fans. But he did have one of his songs randomly added to a popular Spotify playlist. As a result he received a payment of $40,000 from Spotify. Don't believe me, then read his article here in The New York Times. This is because Spotify pays artist for streaming of music. Now in full disclosure, granted the pay per stream is deplorable (somewhere between $0.006 and $0.0084 on the dollar). However, we're not talking about the quality of the amount, we're merely interested in the quantity of the amount because that's precisely how Perrin Lamb was able to see such a payout. $40,000 isn't a massive amount of money, but I'm certain it's a decent payday no Indie musician would decline. It's a clear cut example of how streaming can work in artist favor when positioned correctly. Ultimately musicians need to position themselves to have their music heard on each and every platform as possible. This means having your albums distributed properly and readily available for streaming on all digital outlets. For Indie Artist they normally debate about which distribution is better, Tune Core or CD Baby. Ah yes, the proverbial enemies that go hard at each other worse than Martin and Pam. When people ask me which is better they’re surprised to hear my answer, neither. The best digital distributor for Independent artist hands down is Distrokid. Let’s break it down, CD Baby charges $60 per album ($40 for album cost and $20 for Album UPC. That’s a one time fee, but on the back end they treat you like a two dollar whore and take a 9% commission from all of your sales. In my opinion if I pay you to distribute my album you are not and should not be entitled to any of my sales. In the words of your favorite high yellow rapper/singer “you wasn't with me shooting in the gym” or in this case “you wasn’t with me mixing in the stu”. Tune Core on the other hand initially charges $29.99 for album cost, however they then charge yearly $50 to keep those albums live on all digital retailers. If you don't renew, your album disappears like her career. With that said, Distrokid offers the best deal hands down. You have several payment options, but the choice I prefer is to pay $34.99 annually, and you can distribute unlimited music. That means regardless if you distribute 10 albums or 100 albums you still only pay $34.99 annually and retain all of your sales. See the difference.
Phil Jackson ran the triangle offense and you can too, sort of...
Within the importance of streaming there is also the importance of having what I call The Triangle Offense. It contains your Agent/Manager, Performing Rights Organization, and Sound Exchange. Those are three players that ensure you're not leaving any money on the table. The agent/manager is responsible for positioning your music to generate income (If you don't have an agent/manager do it yourself until you have adequate representation). Examples of outlets content can be placed with companies are such as commercials, movies and etc. From that point depending upon what format your music is utilized that will determine whom collects your publishing, writers and or mechanical royalties. PRO's such as ASCAP, BMI and etc ensure you are compensated when your music is played. However you have to stay on top of them because they cater more towards their big name artists, and often lesser known independent artists get over looked. Sound Exchange is also important because they are the clean up crew in a sense. They also make sure you are being compensated for your content. Any artist can sign up, and once signing up you will be instructed to fill out spread sheets with pertinent information such as the albums Bar Code, UPC & ISRC numbers for each song from the albums (hence why you need proper distribution for your music).
Stop making excuses, start making progress...
If you're a musician there is no reason why you aren’t taking advantage of all the present opportunities. Every-time I read about these men it’s a constant reminder that we have no excuse not to try everyday. If at some point you recorded music, singles or albums and they are presently sitting on your hard drive collecting dust you are to blame. You are the type of artist that believes you can't win because you don't have the resources and time to tour. You are the type of artist that records music and sits on it forever without releasing it because you constantly get in your own way. You are the type of artist that once upon a time had the passion for music because God instilled the gift within you, but ultimately you became defeated into accepting you will not earn revenue from music. Change your perspective. The days of having to tour are not the only way to make income. There are hundreds of what I call new age musicians that are quite comfortable doing it their way. Making quality music, releasing it at their own pace, and when corporations want to utilize their content non exclusively they get paid. As an independent musician you may not sell 4.14 million records like Drake, but you most certainly have the ability and capability to sustain a healthy lifestyle while reaping the benefits of your hard-work. So even though things aren’t always what they ‘post’ to be, ultimately you can decide what angle and approach works best for you. In the words of Amel Laruex, the possibilities are infinite, the only question remaining is simple; what's your perspective.
