-Horror movie comfort

Chan had proposed that he and Y/N should watch a horror movie, which had made her feel hesitant as she knew she wouldn't be able to handle it well. The movie had started Y/N found her hands growing increasingly clammy as the movie began.

She gripped Chan's hand in a vice like grip and could feel him tense against her whenever something cataclysmic happened on screen “ Y/N are u ok?” Chan asked, concern evident in his voice. Y/N swallowed thickly and shook her head.

"I-I don't like this," she whispered, her eyes glued to the screen. Chan noticed her distress and gently removed her hand from his, wrapping an arm around her instead. As he hugged Y/N close to him a strange comfort enveloped them like the warmth of a summer’s night sky.

His calming presence cast away any fear Y/N was feeling as she began to take in every detail on screen without flinching or screeching, no longer afraid of what would happen next. At each jump scare Chan knew exactly when it was coming and took preemptive action against it by leaning forward slightly and placing a tender kiss onto the tip of Y/N's nose which caused her to giggle lightly releasing all pent up anxiety from her before leaving both them enraptured into their own little bubble surrounded by loving energy within their embrace.

Spreading throughout not only themselves but also the entire room radiating outwards with no end in sight like stars lighting up the skies at night time keeping bad dreams away so they could enjoy this moment together, unadulterated completely carefree for just one simple hour that seemed more special than anything else had ever been experienced before until finally making its way back inside both of them.

Once again leaving both Y/N and her boyfriend with a feeling of joy and contentment that they would remember for all time.

Minho knew how Y/N felt about horror movies, and his heart ached when he saw her frightened by the movie. He offered a supportive arm around her shoulders as they watched, one that she gladly accepted feeling safe in his presence no matter what happened on screen. He would whisper in her ear, telling her not to be scared and that he was there for her through it all.

He even went out of his way to cover her eyes during the particularly scary parts and massaged her shoulders whenever she tensed up. Minho knew how to comfort Y/N, and it showed as she began to relax more and more with every minute that passed by.

As Y/N leaned into Minho's embrace, he could feel the softness of her body against his, the warmth of her breath on his neck as she breathed in deeply. He couldn't help but feel a sense of deep affection for her wash over him, a feeling that grew stronger with each passing moment.

Suddenly, there was a loud noise on screen that made Y/N jump and cling onto Minho tightly. Feeling protective over her, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close until their chests were touching.

As they held each other, Minho whispers softly into Y/N’s ear, "Don't worry, I've got you. Nothing bad will happen to you as long as I'm here." With Minho's reassurance ringing in her ears, Y/N gradually began to feel safer inside the movie theatre than she had ever felt before.

Through every jump scare and tense moment, Minho remained steadfast by her side, holding her tightly in his arms and whispering encouraging words. With each new scene, he seemed to grow more determined that no one or nothing could ever harm Y/N while she was under his protection.

In between scenes of horror and suspense, Minho also took the time to point out different aspects of the movie which made it enjoyable for both him and Y/N.

On screen there were elaborate set pieces filled with Roman-style architecture; vibrant costumes draped over characters as they danced onscreen; mythical creatures displayed through special effects that had everyone captivated by their beauty—each detail highlighted by Minho’s enthusiastic voice drown away any fear still lingering within Y/N until eventually all traces of fear melted away completely replaced with a sense of pure joy at watching something so extraordinary together with someone so special next to her.

As if sensing this newfound appreciation from Y/N, Minho smiled brightly at her as when you tuned into him again after getting lost in the visuals flooding your view on screen — such tenderness reflected back onto him making it difficult not want reciprocate what he saw before embracing once again just like old times… but better.

Changbin wasn’t to fond of horror movies either but was perfectly fine with the night’s entertainment. He knew how much it meant to Y/N, and he wanted her to feel comfortable and safe so he tightened his grip around her as if shielding her from any harm that might come.

As they continued watching Changbin would whisper sweet encouragements like “I got you"and "You're safe with me," which made Y/N feel protected and loved. Whenever Y/N became too scared, Changbin would quickly change the focus of her attention and start a conversation about something completely different.

He’d tell her funny stories about his childhood or ask her questions like “did you ever consider becoming a painter?" in an attempt to distract and comfort her away from fear into love. He kept asking politely if she wanted him to stop the movie due to its scariness, but every time he did that all his sweet attentions towards Y/N made so much impact pushing out any remnants of fear she had previously felt as they both enjoyed the spectacle unfolding on screen without worry nor fuss for what might come next.

He gently ran his fingers through her hair and kissed the nape of her neck in an effort to relax her. Through it all, she slowly gained more comfort with each passing scene until towards the end when Y/N was finally able to watch without a fear clinging onto every frame.

When the movie finally ended Y/N hugged Chan tightly, feeling incredibly thankful for him being there; he had made watching this horror movie bearable and brought along such wonderful emotions that she hadn't felt before which caused him immense joy from knowing how much he had helped put a smile on Y/Ns face once again.

The two embraced longer than ever before as they watched into each other's eyes filled with so much appreciation sparkling within them like ancient stars embedded forever upon their gazes never daring to part no matter what may arise in their paths ahead creating new memories together forging new bonds out of nothingness beyond any expectations or preconceived notions giving life where it wasn’t seen possible forming something far greater than anyone could have possibly imagined.

Between these two souls even if just for one single night they would cling onto this memory whilst sleeping peacefully beside one another snuggling close enough until morning light opens up anew ready to start whatever awaits them next but none dared forget about what happened tonight blissfully bonded by love alone under yonder moonlight.

Hyunjin was more than happy to watch the movie with Y/N, but his initial goal before snuggling up next to her was just to ensure that she would feel safe and protected no matter what sort of fears she may have had.

As the movie started, Y/N clung tightly onto Hyunjin's arm, her eyes wide with fear. Hyunjin could feel her trembling, but he remained calm and composed, a reassuring presence for her to lean on. He whispered soothing words into her ear, telling her that it was just a movie and that he was there for her.

Every time there was a jump scare, he would hold her even closer and stroke her hair softly until her breathing became steady once again. “Baby, I won't let anything hurt you," he whispered again and again. Hyunjin knew that Y/N was scared, but he wasn't about to let her suffer through the movie alone.

As the movie went on, Y/N started feeling safer in Hyunjin's embrace. She started to relax and even laughed at some of the cheesy horror movie lines. Hyunjin took this as a sign of progress and leaned in to kiss her on the forehead. "I knew you could do it," he murmured against her skin. Y/N smiled up at him and snuggled deeper into his embrace. In that moment, Hyunjin realized just how much he loved her and how much he wanted to protect her from everything.

The movie ended with a jump scare that made. Y/N jump again, but this time she didn't cling onto Hyunjin as tightly as before. Instead, she looked up at him with eyes full of love and gratitude. "Thank you for being here with me," she said softly.

Hyunjin's heart swelled with emotion as he looked down at her. He pressed a soft kiss onto her lips, knowing that the moment was perfect for them to finally share their feelings with each other. "It’s ok love I got you," he whispered against her lips. And in that moment, they knew that no matter what comes their way, they will always have each other to lean on.

The two embraced tightly until the credits were rolling and it was finally time for them to go home. Y/N smiled up at him with newfound confidence and Hyunjin couldn't help but kiss her forehead again before leading her out into the night as he promised himself this would never be forgotten in their hearts or minds evermore.

Jisung was determined to make Y/N feel safe and protected no matter how scared she might have been. He knew that he couldn't guarantee everything would be alright, but he promised her that his arms were open if she needed protection from whatever life had in store for them.As the movie started, Y/N clung onto Jisung's arm tightly.

Her eyes were filled with fear, but Jisung was determined to ease her worries. He whispered reassuring words into her ear, letting her know that he had her back.

Every time she jumped at a jump scare, Jisung would pull her closer and wrap his arms around her. He would place soft kisses on the top of her head and stroke her hair until she calmed down. "I'm right here I, not going anywhere," he would whisper again and again.

Jisung knew that Y/N was scared, but he never wanted her to feel alone in her fear. He held onto her tightly and tried his best to make sure she felt safe and protected no matter what sort of horrors the movie might have thrown their way. Eventually, as the movie went on, Jisung could tell that Y/N had started feeling better in his embrace.

She laughed out loud at some of the cheesy horror lines instead of cowering away from them like she did earlier — a sign for him that things were looking up!

The movie ended with a jump scare one final time; however this time it wasn't nearly enough to rattle Y/N anymore since now she felt secure within Jisung's arms.

With a relieved expression on her face, she looked up into Jsigu's eyes and thanked him sincerely for being there with her throughout every second of it all — something he couldn't help but find immensely endearing even among all this chaos!

He kissed both cheeks softly before leading them out into night air while Vowing once more internallynever to forget how special these moments are between them ―a kind vow kept evermorebetween each other― then finally madeit home togetherin peace..

Felix, along with everyone else, was aware that he was easily frightenened. But it seemed that Y/N was in the same boat as him.

He knew that he had to be brave for her and protect her from any fears that may come up during the movie. As they settled down onto the couch and the movie started, Y/N clung onto Felix's arm tightly, her eyes wide with fear.

Felix could feel her trembling but he remained calm and composed, determined to make her feel safe in his arms.

Every time there was a jump scare, he would wrap his arm around Y/N and hold her close, whispering soothing words into her ear. "It's just a movie, I'm here with you," he would say softly.

As the movie progressed, Y/N started feeling safer in Felix's embrace.

She laughed at some of the cheesy horror lines instead of being terrified like she was before. Felix took this as a positive sign and leaned in to kiss her forehead. "I'm glad you're feeling better," he whispered.

Y/N looked up at him with a grateful smile on her lips. "Thank you for being here with me," she said softly.

Felix's heart swelled with emotion as he realized just how much he loved Y/N and how much he wanted to protect her from everything. He pulled her closer and placed a soft kiss on her lips, sealing their newfound love for each other. "I'll never let anything happen to you ," he said tenderly.

The movie ended with a jump scare one last time, but this time Y/N was no longer afraid as she knew that Felix had her back and she could rely on him anytime. Holding each other close, they made their way out of the theater into the cool night air feeling more in love than ever before.

Seungmin wasn't the type to enjoy horror movies, but he couldn't resist Y/N's enthusiasm for them. As they settled on the couch to watch the film, Y/N clung onto Seungmin's arm, her eyes filled with anticipation and excitement.

Seungmin, on the other hand, was slightly apprehensive about what was to come. However, he decided that he would do whatever it takes to make sure that Y/N felt safe and protected throughout the movie.

As the jump scares began to come one after another, Seungmin pulled Y/N closer to him and wrapped his arms tightly around her. He whispered reassuring words into her ear, telling her that everything would be alright and that he would never let anything harm her.

Gradually, Y/N relaxed in his embrace as she realized that Seungmin had her back no matter what. She even started laughing at some of the cheesy horror movie lines which made Seungmin chuckle and feel relieved.

As the movie drew to a close, Seungmin could sense that Y/N had grown more comfortable in his company. He leaned in and gently kissed her forehead. "You did great," he said softly.

Y/N looked up at him with a smile on her lips. "I couldn't have done it without you," she replied sweetly.

Seungmin's heart swelled with affection as he gazed into her eyes. He knew that he wanted to protect her from everything in this world, even if it meant facing his fears head-on.

With this newfound courage, Seungmin leaned in and kissed Y/N deeply, sealing their love for each other. He whispered softly, "I'll always be here for you, no matter what comes our way."

The movie may have been scary, but with Seungmin by her side, Y/N felt safe and loved. As they stood up from the couch and headed towards the door, they both knew that their love would endure any test of time and survive every horror that life might throw their way.

Jeongin had always been a lover of horror movies. He relished in the adrenaline that rushed through his veins as he watched each jump scare and twist unfold before his eyes. Y/N, on the other hand, was not as keen on the genre. But she was willing to give it a try just for Jeongin's sake.

As they sat down on the couch and pressed play, Y/N clung onto Jeongin's arm tightly, her eyes filled with fear. Jeongin could feel her trembling but he remained calm and composed, determined to make her feel safe in his arms.

He whispered reassuring words into her ear, telling her that he was there with her and that everything would be alright. ad nothing to worry about. As the first jump scare appeared on-screen, Y/N flinched and buried her face into Jeongin's chest.

Jeongin held her tight and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head. "I've got you," he whispered.

As the movie progressed, Y/N started to become more comfortable in his embrace. She even began to enjoy some of the thrilling moments, letting out small gasps of excitement.

Jeongin couldn't help but smile at her reactions and felt a warm feeling spreading through his chest. He knew that he wanted to protect her from any harm, even if it was just a movie.

When the movie ended, Y/N looked up at Jeongin with a grateful expression. "Thank you for everything ," she said softly.

Jeongin leaned in and brushed a strand of hair away from her face. "Always," he replied, placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

In that moment, Y/N knew that she had found someone special who would always be there for her no matter what. She wrapped her arms around Jeongin's neck and deepened their kiss, knowing that they had just shared a special moment together.

As they pulled away, Jeongin smiled at her tenderly and promised to always be her protector and confidant. Together, they walked out into the night air, feeling more connected than ever before.

This Ask appeared in my inbox back in the day when I let it slip Caius has his... preferences in terms of mates and bedmates. So, here are the headcanons that go along with that.

Well, I am a firm believer in the fact that Caius at one point had to 'hunt/chase' Athenodora early on on their courtship too. Spoiler alert; he did not accept her as a mate at the beginning and when he finally came around she proudly proclaimed he had to work for it in order to gain her companionship. It probably took them a couple of decades before they would both call one another husband and wife.

However, in order to elaborate some more and have fun with the character; I will pretend he has decided to hunt/chase a vampire in this day and age—with all of The Volturi's power at his disposal.

There is a part of Caius he tries to bury beneath a veneer of being the most serious out of the kings, a part of him that has survived since his newborn days. You see, he spent many years catering to his every whim and indulgence; inviting death and pleasure into his undead life with equal measure.

One of the bonding activities he would indulge in with a new or potential mate is definitely going on a hunt for food. These days he is cooped up in Volterra more than he would like to be, so indulging in a cat & mouse chase with his lover? One that certainly will end with him watching his mate drink their fill? Oh sign Caius right up.

Now if his mate had decided they want to be the one to chase Caius? The king will be quiet for a couple of minutes, seemingly looking them up and down and wondering if they would be able to do such a thing. But a soft smirk will soon enough grace his features before knocking back his glass of blood-wine and standing up from his seat.

“If you have no interest we can go back to— ” “Do not hold back.” “Caius?— ” “If you have decided to hunt me I expect a chase more thrilling than any other.”

𝐍𝐒𝐅𝐖 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐑: When it comes to mixing this sort of indulgence with carnal activities, he will gladly chase for as long as he needs to. But his mate needs to be aware of the fact that wherere ever Caius catches them, is where he will have his way with them.

For what it's worth, I do not think Caius would never indulge in these tendencies with a mortal. Us humans are simply too easy prey for a vampire like Caius, it would not be very entertaining for our dear king.

GOD I am thinking so hard about yans going after a darling they previously rejected.

like. you have a crush on your coworker, [insert bsd yan here]. ur not subtle about it. ofc yan Knows, so does everyone else who watches you two interact. trouble is, they dont reciprocate. which is ok! theyre allowed to not like you! but they're also a huge dick about it which is the real issue here.

like, they do NOT let you down easy AT ALL. they might even lead you on a bit beforehand if they're the opportunistic type, paying attention to you up until you do what they want and then dropping you until they have another task lined up. they don't feel bad about it. they don't HAVE to indulge in your delusional little crush, be happy theyre paying attention to you at all! eventually they just completely shut you down. maybe you finally work up the courage to ask them out and they laugh right in your face, not able to stifle their amusement at the idea. or maybe you catch them on a bad day and your puppy-like desperation goes from being funny to annoying and they don't mince words when telling you to get lost. you're heartbroken, humiliated, maybe even a bit frightened if they said anything particularly scary in their tirade, and resolve to just avoid them as much as you possibly can from now on. maybe start looking for a new job somewhere else.

they try to act like losing your attentions doesnt effect them at all, but they really feel your absence. they convince themselves that you're just giving them space after the… incident, but when they go looking around for you and you're nowhere to be found or you coincidentally have to leave whatever room you're in as soon as they enter it they realize that you're avoiding them. it hurts more than they'd like to admit, they find themselves seeking you out much more than they ever have before, only to be disappointed when you notice them looking at you and get visibly uncomfortable or lower your voice so they cant hear you anymore. if they ever DO manage to talk to you, you're freezing cold, all business. on your end, you're just trying not to irritate them, assuming that if they're suddenly staring at you its cuz you're doing something they don't like, but theyre completely torn up about no longer getting your attention. theyre distracted constantly by your sudden distance, no longer able to enjoy outings with coworkers if you don't attend- spending the whole time wondering if you didn't go cuz THEYRE there. now THEYRE the one following YOU around, trying to get back in your good graces in whatever way they can think of. it might start as a childish ploy to regain your attention after your ignoring them caused a blow to their ego, but the more you avoid them the deeper their feelings get. please please PLEASE stop being mad at them! they can't go on if you don't forgive them.

id imagine it would all come to a head if they found out you were planning on quitting soon, or if they caught you going on a date with someone else in the office. they WONT lose you. they cant.

I think most characters could work with this, but especially dazai, akutagawa, jouno, chuuya, and kunikida (he wouldnt do anything out of malice hed just accidentally be pretty harsh turning you down and then feel like an idiot later.). maybe fyodor and gogol too, with some tweaking. this kinda came out a garbled mess sorry haven't slept in like 3 days lmao.

my friend please get some sleep :< like Seriously you are going to crash very hard at this rate i didn't get to elaborate on a lot here 'cos i wanted to write a little bit for everyone (dazai, chuuya, jouno, techhou, ranpo, akutagawa, kunikida, sigma, nikolai and fyodor) but if there's any particular group/character anyone wants to hear about send me an ask and i'll gladly ramble on and on :>

i can see either dazai or jouno doing this intentionally, genuinely liking to watch you look embarrassed and even teary-eyed at his blunt rejections. whether it's because they really couldn't care less about you or because they were just bored, they lead you on and go on to embarrass you publicly, effectively humiliating you and breaking your heart over and over.

consequently, these two also are hit the hardest when you start ignoring them. this probably happens when your carefully crafted confession is callously crushed, receiving jeering words and scornful laughter in response, and you decide you should move on from the toxicity these two carry.

jouno can sense you sneaking out the room when he enters and he pretends not to notice, but dazai straight up stares at you in a look you might even think of as betrayal if it wasn't such a crazy thought. both of them are beyond furious by your sudden withdrawal and badly concealed attempt at avoiding them. what, did you think you could hang around them for so long, smiling through all the insults and 'jokes' and then decide to one day turn around and drop them like you weren't just following them around every corner the week before?

they latch onto you with an overwhelming fervour, following you into every room and into every meeting, even the one they're not supposed to be in. mess around with your files on purpose so you'd have no choice but to come to them and ask for your things back, manage to grab themselves an assignment with you as their partner, even sit right across you during your lunch break. it's like you can never escape them, no matter how hard you try.

just try quitting, or trying to cling onto someone else. just you try, and it'll be far from an amiable ending. they're both extremely cunning and determined, and it won't end well for anyone ecept themselves.

kunikida, akutagawa and chuuya are the type where they didn't mean to be harsh but because they are so flustered/confused they end up coming out very coldly when they tell you to scram or just stop blabbering. you were only trying to be conversative by mentioning the new café downstaira and asking about their weekend, but either because of the stress of work or their inability to deal with your questions of genuine interest and helpful comments, they usually end up responding rudely. chuuya for one is known to scoff and briskly walk away while you're busy talking, hoping you don't notice his flushed cheeks after you complimented his hair. akutagawa's go to response is to just stare at you and wait for you to trail off, thinking he either did not want to hear you ramble on or he just spaced out, and quickly leave. kunikida...depending on the time of the day and how much of dazai's work he has to clean up after, it's either a resigned sigh as you continue talking (he enjoys your company after a long day, although he'll never admit it) or a sudden, angry burst of words you can barely make out.

confessing to either three is awkward, but in the unlikely scenario that it does happen, despite your belief that they barely tolerated you, they're secretly thrilled but unable to respond, leaving you dejected and them panicked. regardless, when you decide enough is enough and you should probably stop bothering them when they don't seem to want you around, they immediately try to stop you.

for chuuya, this means suddenly transforming into the helpful senior, scaring away other employees who try to dump their work on you and people who try to befriend you, as long as they want to talk to you. your unimpressed reactions only spur him on, deciding if you had nobody else, you'd finally come back to him. for kunikida, this is more subtle, taking on your workload and leaving completed forms and files at your desk, placing an energy drink nearby or someting of the sort. he isn't so reckless as to scare away everyone around you, hoping you'd realize you might have misunderstood him because he was always stressed out and come to befriend him again, as he's smart enough to know frightening you away by coming on too strong is not the best way to go. akutagawa might struggle with the subtle approach, but he tries, really. he starts lingering around you, following you silently in an unintentionally creepy way, even when you go to get something to eat. he hopes thta by sticking around you long enough, you'd recognize his intentions as good and not...anything else.

tecchou and sigma initially wouldn't realize why you kept staring at them and immediately look away when they notice. they're confused by your sudden attention on them, not recognizing the glimmer in your eyes as growing attraction and the pep in your step as enthusiasm.

eventually though, it registers, and they're over the moon. i can see both of them being pleasantly surprised, and even if a romantic relationship isn't in their plans at the moment, they like and appreciate you as a friend. still, after you keep smiling at them and asking them to accompany you for lunch, seeing you do that to anyone else is...unsettling, at the least. especially because they know what kind of intentions these other people have.

suddenly, tecchou's glare feels extremely dangerous, almost like lasers burning into the back of whoever's got your attention, causing them to awkwardly excuse themselves and leave you alone once they catch sight of his intense stare. and sigma (he's a higher up here) is piling on an insane amount of work to your companion, happily accepting your invitation to go out to eat every day of the week, now that everyone else was conveniently so busy.

nikolai would actually entertain your feelings, more so out of boredom than anything else. it's easy with him, he catches on pretty quickly—the obvious interest in your tone when you talk to him, the way you hang on to every word like a devoted worshipper, the little gifts you had on hand for him—he'd be a fool not to notice! (he kinda is one, but that's besides the point) you won't have to worry about confessions going south or a cold rejection. nikolai showers you in affection from the start, treating you warmly, laughs with you and is always there by your side.

it almost comes naturally when you admit you like him and he only pulls you closer with the arm he has constantly around you. don't be fooled though, despite not having any 'actual' feelings for you yet, he is unbelievably possessive. if you are upset about anything and decide to sulk and ignore him, nikolai is happy to annoy you endlessly until you either give in and forgive him, or if he sees you trying to busy yourself with anyone else, he's quick to come up with a lost of creative ways to get the outsider out of your relationship with him.

with nikolai, there's a lot of spontaneous skipping out on work (that you miraculously never get in trouble for), unplanned adventures and general good times until, of course, someone else tries to meddle. maybe it's a nosy coworker who firmly believes workplace relationships are unprofessional, or a newbie who stupidly ignores the obvious signs of nikolai and you being together; whatever it is, you won't have to worry, nikolai will swifltly remove all the obstacles.

eventually, he decides that life is a lot more fun with you, his partner in crime, always by his side. this is when things will really take a turn, and you start to realize he's a lot more unhinged than you would have thought previously...

ranpo is a bit of an interesting one...he knows you like him, even if you do a good job at hiding it. he obviously takes advantage of your feelings, purposely trying to make you jealous just to see you all riled up, and asks you to do things for him knowing you wouldn't deny him.

he's so proud of himself, as though he charmed everyone around him, and doesn't hesitate to poke fun at you for liking him. not as maliciously as dazai and jouno, but mean enough that it has you blinking in shock at the way he rudely declares that he was out of your league, skipping away to eat some snacks.

obviously, when he acts so high and mighty, you'd think he would be pleased by you finally taking his advice on "focusing on work instead of staring at him with hearts in your eyes" (not like he was doing anything productive most of the time), but it's the opposite. he notices your absence almost immediately, and imagine his shock and humiliation when you, who was supposed to ttail him around like a puppy, happilly eating out of his hand, were now deciding these boring work files are more important than him.

somehow they even placed the intern that just started with you for training, and now that's all that you're focused on. showing the newcomer around, chatting with them, offering your help with tasks—it was like ranpo ceased to exist and it infuriated him. similarly, if you started spending time around/with someone else from the company (cough nikolai cough), it would annoy him just as much if not more, knowing exactly what kind of intentions they had.

ranpo turns his annoying abilities to the max, now being the one to follow you around everywhere and whines at you to pay attention to him, asking you to feed him snacks and also trying to feed you in return, demanding you accompany him for lunch so he doesn't get lost, and anything else to monopolise your time. eventually, even if you stay strong, whoever you spend your time with now can't handle ranpo's overbearing and unavoidable presence, driving them away. (it helps if he's like a valued employee here too)

fyodor is the type to not do anything about your crush, not until you become useful to him. he'll entertain it, sure, staring back at you with that disarming smile and curious eyes, brushing his hand against yours for a moment too long when you hand him things, sitting right next to you when you ask him to come over and look at something—he knows the hold he has over you and he loves it.

he thinks it's cute to see you so entranced and in awe by him, and he genuinely enjoys your company as he recognizes your genuine work ethic and passion, but even then he doesn't exactly hold the same feelings for you. this is him acting to keep you onterested because he knows someone who is so in love with him despite not really knowing him is a pawn he shouldn't lose.

maybe one day you realize you'd rather not ruin a good friendship by involving your feelings, but trying to distance yourself won't be fruitful and busying yourself with another person would only lead fyodor to threaten their livelihood and even their lives. fyodor is a very jealous and possessivs man, even though you're not dating, he still doesn't like the idea of anyone other than him using you and doesn't want to risk you forgetting him.

generally, though, nobody tries to mess with fyodor, because while he's all amiable and charming to you, to everyone else he's intense and brooding; unapproachable. he has this look that makes everyone feel inferior, like he thinks of them as pathetic creatures—which he does, but you...he could make some use of you yet. he's impressed by your strong will to be by his side for so long despite receiving no sign that he might like you at all...maybe it's time he rewarded you tor your devotion?

... About military things from a soldier

Pt. 2 / ?: Women and relationships in the military

You wanna write a story with a militaristic setting, like CoD or R6S? You wanna create a female OC, self insert or character, but you don't know where to start, if women are even allowed in the military?

Well, lucky for you or not I know what that feels like and I've also got the combat / real life experience to help ya out!

Feel free to hop in my askbox or dm's and ask questions. I'll gladly elaborate and do my best to answer in full and plenty.

Disclaimer: My experiences and knowledge are mostly based on the German military, the Bundeswehr. They may differ from those of other countries.

Are women allowed in the military?

The answer seems obvious: Yes. Most militaries around the world do allow women to enlist. Some, however, do not allow women to join the special forces, such as the SAS, for example.

Certain branches report a higher number of female soldiers than others. The US army air force and sanitation in the German military are two examples I can think of.

Some countries do allow women to enlist but forbid them from partaking in "action", such as North Korea, Sweden, Norway, Bolivia and some more.

What about misogyny by male soldiers?

In my six years of active duty I've learnt that sexism rarely occurs, but when it does, it's straight forward and nasty. Most men don't care about your gender. They treat you like you're one of them, and oftentimes even forget about the fact that you're a woman. The few times I was talked down to for my gender was blatant and hateful though; but even then, some of these opinions didn't come from within the military, but from civilians. (Cue the old granpa who saw me travelling back home in uniform and just had to tell me that women belong in the kitchen, how in the good old days women were still women yadda yadda. Yeah, I had the same look about on my face like you now.)

Appearance is important!

As is in any military. I can't speak for them though, but in my experience, light and natural make up is allowed. Nail polish and lipstick are a hard no though, albeit the latter may be allowed for special occassions. If there's one thing my comrades have taught me it's that most men in the military got no clue about make up, so you'll probs get away with more than you'd think.

The exact rules however depend on your unit and what you do. Back when I was in sanitation I'd be working a pretty standard 9 to 5. Worked in the medbay and treated patients, kept the medical archive in order, pretty normal stuff. My superior allowed us to wear small ear studs. When I got deployed to another base I was almost lynched for wearing them. Really depends on the ones in charge.

As for hairstyles: Most units are fine with anything as long as your hair is up and out of your face. Now, we didn't have to use gel to keep stray hairs at bay. It wasn't that strict. Just don't use any flashy hair accessories and hair ties that match your hair colour. Oh, and your hair must be a) one colour and b) a naturally occuring one. The length doesn't matter as long as you're not Rapunzel. If your hairstyle is anything other than a pixie cut, you will have to wear a hair net under your combat helmet.

Do men and women stay in seperate dorms?

Seperate rooms? Yeah. Seperate dorms? Nope.

Sometimes you'd have couples who shared a dorm room. It's a whole process that your superior has to give his ok to, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it. Dorm rooms aren't exactly big. You need privacy? Well, that's too bad.

If you're lucky enough you get to have a room for yourself. Depending on what branch / base you're in, the rooms will be more or less furnished. Back when I worked at the ministry of foreign affairs, my room was pretty luxurious for milutary standards: TV, fridge, sofa, bed, desk w chair, a closet and a bathroom next door. That's definitely not the standard though. We usually had to buy and bring our own stuff, like blankets, fridge, decorations, whatever you'd need to make that cold room somewhat comfy. (Wifi is also not a given. Gotta get your own connection running.)

Flings, relationships, cheating spouses... How common is it really?

They do happen, though not as often as you'd think.

It's more common to hear rumors about who has smth going with who and these rumors can get BAD. As in reputation and career ruining bad. At that point there's gonna be an order from higher up to stop talking about these rumors and punishment can be quite strict. (Speaking of rumors...Hate to say it, but the more women a unit had, the worse talking behind others backs was.)

One thing that I always found particularly disgusting were relationships between higher ups and recruits. Yes, they happen. No, they're not allowed. These things are like open secrets. If found out and proven to exist, the superiors will be held accountable by military law. Outside of basic training it may be frowned upon if a superior were to enter any kind of relation with someone of lower rank, thought not outright punishable.

As for cheating... Well, I haven't enountered any cheating myself, nor heard of it (yet). Not saying that it doesn't happen, but at least over here in Germany it's rare. It's highly frowned upon and will open you up to rumors and... Not so nice treatment by comrades. Cheating on a spouse is punishable by military law. A soldier found guilty may be demoted in rank, suffer financial losses or even get dishonourably discharged.

Celebrimbor came to him late in the evening of his one-hundredth begetting day, once the celebration had ended and Elrond was alone in his chambers.

“Forgive the disturbance, cousin,” he said softly when Elrond bid him enter, “but I have another present for you, one that must be given in private.”

“Come and sit, then.” Elrond led him to the sofa. “I was just about to make myself a cup of tea. Would you like some?”

“Gladly.”

Soon they both sat on the sofa, drinking their tea, and Celebrimbor handed Elrond a wrapped parcel.

“This is what any prince of the House of Fëanor would have received upon the day they reach adulthood,” he explained. “You have declared yourself a scion of our House, and so it is only right that you receive what is your due.”

Elrond unwrapped the parcel. Inside was a red cloak embroidered in gold with the eight-rayed star, a silver circlet and comb set with crimson jewels, an elegantly wrought quill, and a hammer with an elaborately carved handle.

Tears welled in Elrond’s eyes as he beheld it all.

“It is lovely,” he said, his voice trembling. “I cannot thank you enough, cousin. It is all so lovely.”

Celebrimbor smiled. “It is my honour to give you these gifts, as my father gave them to me. They include, too, tools for your chosen craft, but you have already received those.”

The bundles of herbs and books on healing lore lay on Elrond’s table, among all the other presents he had been given that day. Celebrimbor’s eyes drifted to them, before returning to Elrond, who had lifted the hammer and was examining it thoughtfully.

“Have you been taught how to use it?” he asked softly.

“I have not,” Elrond admitted, and Celebrimbor laid a hand on his shoulder.

“Then I will teach you. Any descendant of Fëanor should know their way around a forge.”

Elrond’s face brightened. “I shall impatiently await your lessons,” he said. “May I ask another favour of you?”

“Of course.”

Elrond reached out and ran a finger along the circlet and comb. “Will you braid my hair and adorn it?”

“I would be honoured.”

They sat together until late in the night, braiding each other’s hair, sharing stories of their fathers and uncles, laughing and weeping as they spoke of their lost family.

Just beat side order n while i did have fun it kinda just confirms one thing to me: splatoon has just been trying to make octo expansion 2 again and again. It was clear with return of the mammalians, and it was clear here- especially the finale. I definitely liked it but i did wish there was a bit more plotwise yknow- having a sanitized octoling as a character was sick as hell but i wish we got to know more about sanitization from them and more about acht and marinas pasts- i admit I'm still hunting for the dev diaries so if any of these things are answered there i will gladly take it.

Also this is just me being cringe but they should've gone all out with the color theme and have eight get rainbow ink for the final boss

Your first point is VERY TRUE honestly they REALLY HAVE just been trying to recreate octo expansion ever since octo expansion came out lol. (Spoilers for Side Order under cut)

I'm not "done" with the story yet, I hesitate to call the first full run-through of the tower "the story" despite the final boss being there. Arguably when you beat the final boss, that's basically the prologue for the ACTUAL story to start, because prior to that you have like... maybe 20% of all the lore the thing has to offer. I feel like it is a weird decision from them to put so much of the story (well, not even really story, just unlockable lore) behind you already having beaten the final boss and rolling credits, given most people that get through the final boss will treat that as the mark that they've "beat" the game even though in Side Order's case, "beating the game" is really just STARTING the game. (And this makes most of the story technically postgame, which is something a lot of people don't enjoy.)

I believe the ACTUAL story will further unravel as you do repeat playthroughs of the tower, as the story is less "get to the top of the tower and defeat Order" and actually more "reconfigure all the palettes to save all the people whose souls have been pulled into the Memverse (name pending)". I won't be giving any bigger consensus on how the story is or if it's good until I've *actually* gotten to the very end of it, because the way it's been unraveling I am interested in if there's some other developments later on - I'm thinking there's about a 50/50 chance of there really not being anything more than extra lore, but the other 50 chance of there actually BEING some kind of story progression later on still.

They definitely SHOULD'VE done rainbow ink for the Order fight... I can agree with people on one thing and it's that the final boss was very underwhelming. I got to the final boss on my FIRST TRY (then died because i got knocked off the stage lol) and just... having the final boss be about one and a half hours of gameplay after STARTING the game is not great lol. But even with the final boss battle itself, it felt extremely underwhelming with no buildup and a short boss battle, and you could argue that the whole story IS buildup to the boss - this is true! But if it's JUST buildup to the boss, then... my point is Side Order's first full run kind of feels like the escape phase in Octo Expansion with much worse payoff. It's a pretty good buildup for a pretty underwhelming final boss, but it's just that - JUST the buildup, really. I think Octo Expansion's escape phase might even be longer than my average run of the tower, and the tower is the main game.

I dunno where I'm going here really. I do hope they start doing more ACTUAL LIVING STORY in Splatoon rather than putting the characters in a box and giving you all the information as a text box - but that's something i expect from Splatoon stories as per default, honestly, so i wasn't let down. As for the story itself, I'm pretty happy with it and it's delivered above my expectations so far (which were low, so that isn't saying much). I'm just really happy they're finally doing continuity and going back to elaborate on Octo Expansion - you know, something that a lot of people love and. something I have been complaining about for like 6 years straight now because im a hater. Though I also think the decision to make the story indirectly - AND directly - about octo expansion is a really weird choice given there's got to be a lot of players who never played it, and those players have no idea what's really going on and probably won't care as a result. Have you noticed the rise of young adult aimed media lately? The other day I was discussing the topic with a very dear friend of mine who surprised me by saying that she doesn't mind that at all and will gladly watch shows aimed at a younger audience.

I've been thinking about that a lot - I remember shows and movies like The Devil wears Prada, SaTC, Shoppaholic etc that featured main characters in their 20s-30s but were enjoyed by teenagers as well. These days I feel like we get the opposite, with Euphoria, Stranger Things etc - shows with a main focus on (supposed) teenagers that are aimed at older audiences as well. Very interesting!

...and annoying to me personally since I don't really find (americanised) teen life very interesting or relatable. I might rewatch a show I enjoyed while I was a teenager and I have watched shows aimed at a younger audience because I knew they would mention a topic I care about a lot that isn't discussed in adult media most of the time - but it took a while before I convinced myself I wanted to watch that show badly enough to put up with first kisses and pop quizzes and spring dances. My friend, again, has a completely different view on that and mentioned that she will gladly watch The Summer I Turned Pretty for fun and relaxation - which genuinely shocked me (because I can’t relate, not because I’m judging her — or you, if you like those shows).

So now I have to ask

UH?!?!??!?!?!?!?!H #bizarre moment for me truly #also she was like 'it doesn't even mention prom and stuff' implying it was neutral in that regard #and it smack dab is about some summer dance thing. when I tell you I felt like I was an idiot #like. am I not getting the joke?!#based on what she said I genuinely thought it would be about a woman looking back at the old days or something #but no it's a teen girl doing teen girl things

me and my friends came up with an incredible interpretation of raymesis and glombrox which makes them really good to put into situations LET ME RAMBLE ABOUT THEM AT LENGTH THEYRE LIKE THE FUNNIEST GUYS EVER

raymesis is a Giant Petty Loser. for reasons unknown to everyone (even to himself) he HATES rayman SO BAD, he believes hes raymans greatest rival, and and he is obsessed with trying to soil his reputation or at least mess with him by pulling things on him

he never succeeds bc hes also the unluckiest person in the glade. he would try to sneak in and try and explode rayman with cartoon dynamite while hes not looking but ends up tripping over the wire and exploding himself. that type of stuff

one particular method he tries to mess with rayman is by pulling various bad things (kicking over a trash can! oh no!) and then trying to convince everyone he IS rayman. it Never Works. everyone can tell hes some other guy

oh yeah also what makes him even more mad is the fact that nobody really even knows who he is. every time he announces to rayman's face hes his greatest rival rayman just goes "wait really? i dont rememeber you" and continues to be nice to him and that makes him Livid

raymesis would actually do this pose and think that makes him super cool. he wears embarassing gamer shirts unironically. hes such a loser that literally god himself calls him ugly

glombrox was never "a hero" or "possessed by darktoons" he is Just Like That. like a lot characters in my interpretations kept being bullied as a kid but glombrox is the one who Bullied others as a kid. he gets a kick out of messing with everyone, he views everyone basically the same (acceptable targets for kicking) which includes raymesis

he just nonchalantly decides to play basketball with a teensy instead of a ball, he would do the exact same things to lums that lividngstones do. he goes to the docks at sea of serendipity and does this to all red wizards

he doesnt do any elaborate pranks he just shoves people or kicks them around or whatever. that said, you wouldnt be able to tell by looking at him or how he acts, but hes actually surprisingly clever/smart at times

glombrox also has the complete opposite issue from raymesis. being that he literally wont stop being mistaken for globox, having a basically identical shape and voice, and its not helped by the fact that globox and his kids also find it acceptable to slap people for fun (actually for fun with no mean intent)

nobody catches onto the fact that hes so mean and still keep mistaking him for someone whos the complete opposite of mean! they just thank who they THINK is globox but isnt!!! he has a personal vendetta against globox because of it, but not remotely to the same extent as raymesis' whole thing. hes just extra mean to globox when he comes across him but globox is like "hi me : )" and just takes it all as a fun thing which doesnt help matters

their dynamic is basically wario and waluigi in warios warehouse (raymesis is waluigi) except if they didnt live together and wario had no idea who mario and luigi were beyond getting mistaken for mario one billion times which makes him mad

raymesis mostly just drags glombrox along for his Evil Plans, taking advantage of what everyone keeps thinking he is, and glombrox just goes along mostly because he thinks itd be funny. theyre technically friends but in some messed up way and would gladly insult each other

glombrox himself takes advantage of the fact that raymesis fully believes that glombrox is his great trusty sidekick (which he isnt). also he just comes to raymesises dingy apartment and raids his fridge and occupies literally the entire couch to watch tv

Heres some incorrect quotes (from here) to describe all of these fools further (though rayman would Not swear in the first one he would just be like "huh what??")

murfy counterpart to raymesis and glombrox is the guy who wrote the manual. hes nicer than murfy is he just doesnt appreciate murfys comments about the manual. raymesis thought it was a Great Idea to drag him along with him and glombrox on occacion. but he doesnt actually want to get involved he wants to write for gods sake

teesny counterpart would just be ales honestly but ales doesnt like to associate with these other losers (despite being one himself and also being comically petty about being bullied as a kid) so he usually doesnt

So I just had a silly crack!idea for the Kalijami Sultan AU

What if the equivalent of the royal council is pressuring Jamil for what seems like the 100th time that he needs to convince Kalim to have an heir. Jamil in all his utterly DONE glory proceeds to jinx himself and the council in the most ridiculous fashion.

Jamil*with all the rage of the sun*: Do you think I haven't been trying?!!! At this rate, I'd have better luck giving him a child MYSELF!!!!

Council of Elders*sarcastically*: Well in that case, you two better get started then.

Timeskip to a few days later. Kalim and Jamil need to go on a long business trip. It lasts for 1 year 🤭🤭🤭

Everything goes smoothly until an incident happens on the way back. Kalim helps out a genie or some other entity in disguise. Entity sees the pining!Kalim and decides to reward him with a baby without needing to bother with the other stuff. Entity hands him a beautiful flower that Kalim gladly accepts. While back at the hotel they're staying, Jamil and Kalim get pricked while investigating the plant. Luckily there doesn't seem to be any side effects so they decide to deal with the mystery flower in the morning and sleep for now. When they wake up the next morning there is a lovely baby girl in place of the flower that suspiciously looks like them. They bring the child with them.

Tests are made and the results confirm that she is without a doubt their lovechild. Kalim is ecstatic while Jamil is having an existential crisis beside him. Conveniently the Council of Elders were present at the time so they're getting flashbacks to the conversation above and side-eyeing Jamil in shock and disbelief.

Council of Elders *internally*: Man really went ahead and did it himself 🤯

I'd like to know if you have any headcanons for this. Seemed like an amusing idea and it would be fun if you elaborate on the it or to know what you think would happen next. Like how would everyone react, what baby girl is like, and Kalijami as parents.

Lol, the only way Kalim is going to have children is if there is some kind of magic involved, honestly, this is probably true. And of course Jamil would end up being involved one way or another, since the heart wants what the heart wants….😭 You’re a mother now, Jamil, better get used to it (he’s been parenting Kalim for his entire life, so it’s nothing new)

First of all, we are very happy that you enjoy our AU, Anon! It’s always great to hear from people who get invested in them and want to hear more from us. But unfortunately, we can’t really elaborate much on the idea, since writing about characters having children and parenting isn’t really our thing: we rarely have any ideas or interest in this topic. I can only imagine that they’d get tons of unsolicited advice from every single character: NRC is full of opinionated people who are certain they know better. Also, Lilia. Just Lilia.

Could you elaborate more on Camilla? It's for... research purposes, an innocent research and without second or third intentions.

all too gladly — like other TSH figures, she is extremely complex and therefore interesting to dissect. i don't know how much time you have, which is why i will offer you a mere general overview of my opinions on her character. once again, sensically — tw for incest. goes without saying when it comes to her, unfortunately.

i appreciate her as a character and likewise sympathize with her greatly. in my eyes, she is an unfairly dismissed longtime victim of incest who has settled into that cycle of abuse so deeply that the reveal thereof doesn't even shock most readers — i've seen far too many people admitting it "made sense" or "was expected" for charles and camilla to be romantically involved with one another, which we can only owe to ms tartt herself, who strangely saw to that with striking intricacy via her writing. why — i may never know. dark academia, flawed characters, we're not supposed to like them, elitism, wealth — i know, i know, i know. it's still so utterly strange to me.

in addition, as the only woman in a close-knit circle of men (who are already far too privileged for their own good, predominantly heteronormative, and outspoken creatures of their time — specifically bunny), she is obviously the only one being gone after by nearly everyone. henry, her own brother, richard, even francis (on a singular occasion, but didn't he say she was the only one he ever questioned his sexuality over?), and possibly bunny, had he not been in a relationship and scared shitless of henry toward the end? plus, she is portrayed to be an indirect catalyst for the final traumatic event in the book due to being involved with both charles and henry. now, i do not attribute any fault to her, as she certainly has her own reasons to still be in that position (listed below), and what charles and henry did is their own fault and therefore between the two of them only. never blame a woman for a disagreement sparked between men, even if she was indirectly involved.

because of this depiction, i would even go as far as labeling her a "manic pixie dream girl", especially because she is described as so ambivalent and enigmatic in the novel. it truly seems to me that there are very few consistent characterization points in regard to her in the book. it's always either — oh, she is so clever and beautiful, so divine, and she amuses us all, and she is the mediator; or, oh, she is so secretive and has a palpable air of mystery, and must be hiding so much behind that pretty face and sad eyes. very manic-pixie-dream-girlish, if you ask me — but we know whose fault it is (hint: she was born on december 23rd). and yes, she does entertain the attention of most of the men interested in her, but then again, i elaborated on this matter in my post regarding her relationship with henry: i am fully convinced that she is not attracted to men whatsoever, neither romantically nor sexually, and engaging some of them is just a trauma response to partaking in incestuous activity and finding herself in an environment predominantly defined by men. i have a feeling that internally, she's longing to break free from all of it in whichever way possible, and she deserves to.

there's just no justification for not feeling bad for her in this case. camilla is done so dirty by the author of TSH in the way that she is misportrayed, it ails me. she constantly finds herself being objectified and disregarded, recognized and emphasized not for her academic skills and knowledge, but for the fact she is a beautiful, mystifying woman in a circle of intelligent, preposterously pretentious men. annoyingly, she is some sort of "feminine relief", the concept whereof outright vexes me. honestly — the way richard speaks of her sometimes (and yes, i know, it's meant to be like that, as he's an unreliable narrator and a young hormonal man on top of that, but nevertheless) is just outrageous. she is a victim of incest trapped in a position where she cannot communicate with anyone but her abuser and his male friends. is it ever mentioned that she entertains female acquaintances? i cannot recall, and that should be sufficient proof. the confinement she must feel, both in her interpersonal position and in her femininity, must be insane. she deserves so much more.

i want her to leave most of them behind, specifically those who have never seen her as anything other than an object of desire — even charles (who has fled anyway!) — and move somewhere to the warm south into a remote country cottage with a gorgeous, gigantic garden which she would tend to daily, and drive out into the city every now and again for groceries and bookstore strolls. a miss honey type, you know? hell, she could have a wife. a cat or a dog. horses or cattle, even. as far as i'm concerned, she could even see francis on occasion for a paired vacation or a lunch date here and there. i feel like they have the best shot at developing the healthiest bond, despite their shared trauma.

all in all, i think it's obvious that i have the biggest soft spot for her and am therefore convinced that she deserves nothing but the best. she was done quite dirty by ms tartt, and all the characters she ever shared a space with. i only sleep soundly at night knowing that she is very much fictional.

Went ahead and read this post. And laughed a little, ngl.

It's basically a defense post for shipping Sonic with human girls, and a hate post towards Sonamy/Sonally shippers. Called 'em all "fanbrats." Immediate generalization, assuming all of us are the same.

I'm a Sonamy shipper, not Sonally. Why I don't ship Sonally? All I've seen of Sally -- while she's generally a good person -- she's very controlling, especially of Sonic himself. She doesn't like Sonic for who he is; she's constantly trying to make him more serious and their personalities clash an awful lot. But does that mean I hate on and judge Sonally shippers? No. It's just a ship with fictional characters, peeps. Lighten up. I don't get triggered if I see others making art for them and stuff. I just move on because it's not for me.

Ah, yeah, Amy's worse qualities HAVEN'T disappeared? Sorry, could someone remind me of a time during the IDW comics, during Frontiers, during MOSTH, when Amy was making Sonic uncomfortable with stalker-esque behavior? Right. There wasn't any. It's a little something called character development and maturity. Happens as one grows older.

And this isn't the first time I've seen people complain that they're turning Amy into Sally 2.0. Actually, they're not. Amy Rose has a heart for people that Sally never did. In IDW, Amy took over the Resistance and changed it into the Restoration because Knuckles disbanded it on a whim, and she couldn't bear to see so many people displaced and in trouble. Because she's got that heart and LOVE for people. That passion.

Amy loves Sonic exactly for who he is. (I've talked a little about this before but will gladly elaborate for those who refuse to see.) She outright said to him, "I can't change you. I don't want to change you."

She loves that he's an adventurer. She loves that he has a heart for people like she does as well. She loves everything about him -- through anything.

Another person claimed they didn't ship Sonamy because "Amy only loves the hero facade Sonic puts on." Sorry, remember that episode in Sonic X where it showed Amy was well aware of Sonic's dislike/fear of water, and instead of getting angry or disappointed with him, she made him a good luck charm bracelet to make him feel better? Or that time when she scolded Knuckles for making fun of said fear? Or when he was badly electrocuted to the point of unconsciousness and she stepped up to take care of him? Or when she dove into a giant mass of water after him, knowing she might not be able to save him but not wanting him to be alone? I could go on and on.

That love of hers, that passion, is also for people in general (he's just #1 in her heart, according to Sega). In Frontiers, she showed concern for him when he appeared to be struggling. She shared her desires to share her love with the world, even if it meant taking them apart, and he encouraged her to do so, adding that he wanted to hear all about it when she got back.

Pardon us for feeling like Sonamy is more canon after Frontiers. I'd like to see YOU come up with a platonic explanation for "Wish we were sharing an umbrella, Amy," and "Amy, I should've made up my mind sooner."

Also, it's pretty unlikely Amy is still 12. They stopped confirming their ages years ago. With how much has been happening, I wouldn't be surprised if they're all aged up several years.

"Thinking we know better than Sega themselves." Bruh, "Sega themselves" have confirmed time and time again that Sonic has feelings for Amy. The only reason (besides the mandates lol) he hasn't confessed to her is because

Sonic isn't good at dealing with feelings

Sonic isn't ready for a relationship at this point in his life/doesn't need one

Sonic loves Amy, and Amy loves Sonic. But they're both aware that Sonic doesn't want a relationship for the time being, so they're fine being friends.

Pardon the rant, lol. And jsyk, this isn't necessarily a persuasive speech. If this convinced you to ship Sonamy, cool! If it didn't, I don't care. Again, these are just ships with fictional characters. I have fun with them. I don't get outraged if people don't ship what I do. If you don't like it, move past this post and keep scrolling. first off, i like to think that his dad was an actual priest. idk which denomination (i think thats the word) he would be. basically, i headcanon that movie kent is queer (not labelled or anything. in my au hes gay tho) basically, his dad didnt accept him, and since kent was a basement dweller still living with his dad, his dad kicked him out, which is how kent ended up in new orleans working at a costume store and pretending to be a priest.

also, i headcanon that he was living out of his car during the movie, and thats why he was so excited to move into the mansion/do all the food runs. hes homeless.

elder gay. he helps kent come to terms with himself, and acts like the father-figure he needed. he's supportive whenever kent needs it, lightens the mood when the mood calls for it, and teases kent like hes a middle schooler whenever kent talks about who hes romantically interested in.

Lightsnap! I think "light" is a perfect parallel to "blight", and snap connects to a purple snapdragon! I think that's a fitting plant for Amity, and thus, we have Lightsnap! "Light" was also the first spell Luz learned.

So, I doubt that Light was her original prefix, and I think I'll use "Blight" as her first prefix. Yeah, Blightpaw.

I think Lightsnap comes from a long line of respected cats, but as there isn't exactly technology in this world, there needs to be another way....oh. Oh yes. Animation. I bet the WC Blights are skilled in animating objects, bringing them to life.

I think that Whistleheart, when she first met Lightsnap, was a shock to her. This cat from the other world who worked with an outlaw, was kind and friendly, and was trying to learn magic? It may have even scared her a little, but Lightsnap never liked being scared, so she defaulted to being aggressive.

But Whistleheart just looked at her and saw a lonely cat, and with bad parents too. (I bet that WC Camila was a psychiatrist, or physical therapist! In canon she's a veterinarian, but that doesn't entirely work if she's a cat, and Luz inherited some of her talent in the field.)

The turning point in their relationship was when Lightsnap chose her own prefix. Her mother was....not happy, and Whistleheart was one of the first that Lightsnap told about her new name. Whistleheart immediately was like "That's awesome! Hi Lightpaw, how're you doing?"

Hello Hello ~

My name is Tix (they/them), and welcome to my rotumblr blog! I'm 21, I'm from Unova and in Unova and i run a small café on Route 3 right outside Striaton City. If you don't find it, just look for the Daycare on the hill, walk up that hill and look for the building at the foot of the hill! And now come in and get a cupcake, you earned it!

A bit of background info, so you're not put off:

- I'm a trainer, i went on gym journey but i never finished (i have 5 badges). I know a bit about tactics, i like battling as a concept (i love watching league battles and gym battles on TV) but I'm not a big battler myself. If you're interested though, just ask. I have a good team and we do like the exercise. Just... Don't expect me to win.

- My parent's own a farm near Lacunosa Town on route 12. Their main focus is on Produce but they also offer a breeding program. I've worked a lot with them as well, so if you've just gotten an egg from the daycare, i can give you some tips. I don't know everything though.

- I'm a poison type specialist. Don't be put off by this. The food is all safe to eat, the air is safe to breathe and if anything should ever happen, i have antidotes. My Pok￩mon are all sweethearts, but please be careful about touching them. If you would like to pet them, feel free to ask me. I will gladly tell you how to safely do it or if it's not possible. This should go without saying, but some people... Well.

First, this is obviously a Pokemon irl rp blog. As I and the people I'll mostly interact with will pretend that Pokémon are real, this is a blanket #unreality warning. I tried for a while to tag every post with that, but tbh it's tiresome, and I don't think it's really needed. Instead, I'll usually tag with at least one of the following three tags: #pokemon irl, #pkmn irl or #pokeblogging. It's probably gonna be #pokeblogging though.

Second, while both I and my character(s) are adults, I'd prefer to keep this blog semi SFW. (I will act like an adult though.) Mentions and, I'll call it "informative discussions" of sensitive topics are okay, but I try to keep it off screen. I don't think anyone had plans to play out elaborate sex-scenes on here but you never know.

If anything comes up, I'll try to put a warning tag. I'm not a fan of spamming tags, and some posts i already did have quite a lot, so I'll keep it to one format: #cw [trigger]. I will probably still use them sparingly, since i'm personally okay with most things. Please tell me if i should tag something.

That said, i usually don't consider "gore" as NSFW because thats just silly in my opinion. People cut themself and break their bones. I'll still try to keep stuff like this on the low end, and extreme stuff like dismemberment will also be tagged.

Third: I'm not the biggest fan of high stakes, especially on a global scale. I'll decide case to case if i want to react or interact. If it's something personal high stakes I'm more willing to participate (a character's arc that results in a final battle with a nemesis). Like i said, global scale high stakes where the world is threatened is probably not something I'll do a lot (team aqua wants to flood the world again). I do acknowledge it if it's happening because a lot of other blogs do participate and it's just weird if I'll always ask "whoa whats a shadow Pok￩mon", but, like, Tix will probably be a lucky one and be unaffected by most things. If you would like me to participate, feel free to ask though. (I might just decline). Everything will be appropriately tagged #high stakes pokereality. I don't think i will be getting into details like "low stakes" and "medium stakes" for tagging.

Regarding sentient/sapient pok￩mon: Human Characters will treat them as roleplayers online who just have fun. Might play along, might be a bit snarky or so. Pokémon Characters (Porygons, Rotoms, Team Nightdancer) will interact and understand them, even in person. This means that @team-nightdancer is NOT canon to the human run blogs, despite me running both. Exceptions to this rule is the Porygon line, Rotom and possibly very specific cases.

Fourth: as for other tags: all of Tix' and Olivias pokemon will have their own tag in the format #[nickname] the [species] , for example #coffee the koffing . I don't know how consistent I'll be with capitalisation, i try to use all lowercase. All posts regarding Yoghurt the Yveltal while it was still an egg are tagged with #yveltal??? Posts about Cracker the Murkrow and Cheese the Crobat from before they were caught are tagged #unknown crobat . I will not tag Pok￩mon of other people, and I'll only tag the Pok￩mon that are relevant for the specific post/reblog (because i have a lot of pok￩mon and the tags won't end otherwise). If I'm sure something will be the last entry in a longer series of reblogs, i might tag everyone who was relevant, but don't expect it. I usually put them there so people know who I'm talking about, because i use the nicknames. (Another list of the Pok￩mon will be at the very end)

depending on what kind of interaction i am doing on rotumblr, there are 6 tags, 2 for each Tix, Brandy and Olivia. Answers to asks will be tagged with #tix answers, #brandy answers or #olivia answers. If it's about "normal" blogging, it'll be tagged either #tix.txt, #brandy boasting or #olivia online. some old posts might have #tix blogs or #olivia blogs, i won't go through that to change it. posts from before olivias appearance might not be tagged at all in this way. The "event" (idk how to call it) where i come up with weird drinks or things that people order will be tagged with #daily disaster drinks . In character, these will be made by Olivia and will not be daily, as Olivia isn't working at the caf￩ every day.

Ask games or Ask memes or whatever you call them will be tagged with #ask game. Once i reblog them, they are open indefinitely. The tag will be for the initial meme only, not the answers to make it possible to find them. Generally, please put the question for the meme into your ask, especially if it's an older ask game, i might ignore it otherwise. Also, please specify which muse you're asking, if not I'll just decide who is answering on my own. In addition: most ask games i reblog here are also fair game on @drampas-trainers. I will only answer over there if you put the question in the ask though. If you want to ask a specific character there, do so, otherwise it'll be a sort of "collective answer"

I also like to do headcanons. These might make more or less sense, depending. I will usually introduce them with "//headcanon time" or something similar and then put a readmore. I also don't mind discussing certain stuff in universe, we can play something like "what? really, i heard that slightly differently!". My characters are both not professional researchers or pokebiologists, but Tix is a poison type expert and Olivia is a battle specialist and teaches at the trainer school. They know their stuff for the most part. Because of this i'd like to ask you not to just straight up contradict me on these posts, like "wow, that's completely and utterly wrong!" I will try to do the same. Please tell me if i overstepped boundaries.

Hello, I want to discuss something with you regarding your post about Spain being a “father figure” to your Mexico and how this is not a very good take.

- You do realize that Cortez’s brief stay in Tenochtitlán, while “pacifist” was the beginning of what would be one of the most disgusting acts of violence against the Mexica peoples and later lead to the colonization of Mexico? Cortez and his men where later ran out during “Noche Triste” where they had to retreat and join forces with the Tlaxcalans, Otomi and several other tribes who where on bad terms with the Mexica just to sack and burn Tenochtitlán.

- Making your Mexico Spain’s kid (regardless of whether or not they’re biologically related) is unintentionally romanticizing the colonization and brutality the Spanish committed against the Mexica peoples. I’m not denying the Spanish influence Mexico has, I’m Mexican myself. I’m simply saying that colonialism shouldn’t be romanticized.

If you want me to elaborate on any of these points I will do so gladly. I mean no ill towards you, I simply want you to maybe take another look at how you write these character’s relationship.

Hello buddy from Mexico, I'm from Mexico too! I totally understand everything you are saying, but I wanted to make the explanation in Spanish so you could understand me in the best way.

Luis at the time of the conquest, he was less than 200 years old when he was born/appeared in the territory of Tenochtitlan, but his presence was important for the consolidation of what would later become "New Spain". Well, I take Antonio/Spain, to be the father figure of my Mexico because to begin with Luis was physically and mentally between 5 - 7 years old when the territory was taken, he was present at the murder of Moctezuma's offspring, but as you may notice he was just a little boy, what he did was to suppress the terrible and bloody memories about the bad times during the Spanish occupation of Mexico.

There are children who do not remember parts of their childhood, partly because as you get older your memory goes through a process of erasure from an early age, but with Luis he blocked out the experiences in reaction to prevent such a traumatic event from driving him mad. Antonio sheltered him in his arms and obviously he, not having overcome the mourning of his first father figure, sought desperately to cling to a new one with whom he would associate all the good and his new care.

In my interpretation I have 2 more Mexicans! Teresa is the South of Mexico and Mateo plays the North. None of the 3 share the same age nor the same experience of the invasion.

Luis would have been between 5-7 years old, Teresa between 9 -11 and Mateo is the youngest as the northern territory itself was not very populated, he had physical and mental years between 2 - 4 years old. Teresa was the most "mature" of the three and she and Mateo share the idea that Antonio was an invader, someone who took away their original home, but all three were born to be the representation of New Spain and later of the Mexican territory!

And as I have said before, Luis represents the centre of Mexico, the part with much more European influence than the north or south of the same country (not to say that there is no European influence in these parts. There are many cathedrals and government buildings in the centres of our states that have a colonial style!), but historically, Mexico did not stop pursuing the idea of "being like Europe" until 1921, a little more than 100 years ago.

A piece of information I heard in a podcast called "the true history of Mexico", by a Mexican historian and psychologist called Francisco Mendoza, he talked about the American invasion, in one of the chapters he explained that there was a president of Mexico who was so terrified by the idea of Mexico disappearing and decided to make a proposal to send a letter to Spain and ask them to send a prince, Obviously this person was removed from power, but I don't doubt that Luis could have been someone who supported the idea, because he lived all that time with the father figure attachment he gave to Antonio/Spain. His brothers later gave him a good beating for that, but he could have been the one behind the idea.

Even later, when the Austrian emperor arrived from France some time later, Luis received him with enormous affection and affection, and how could he not? He did a lot of good things for the Mexican people even though they didn't know about it because they couldn't read or write, and later the Ministry of Public Education (SEP in Mexico) itself had to take some of the many writings that Maximilian of Habsburg was going to propose to form the educational system that we have!

Also, in the Porfiriato itself, there were many buildings influenced by French architecture, such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Historically speaking, Mexico did not stop chasing Europe until after the Mexican Revolution, and nowadays the city centre still has a lot of European influence. I never meant to imply that the actions taken by the Spanish Empire in Mexico Tenochtitlan were good! I just want to make it clear that Luis was a child when all this happened and his attachment to Antonio came from the trauma of a loss at an early age.
