i fucking love your monster au design for shadow could we have some lore abt him? (if you want to :])
Tumblr media
Apologies for the essay I'm about to drop for your ask jddfgsdkgf, but here's a sketch as a peace offering and I'll drop all the lore I have for you under the read more! Glad people are interested in it cause I'm currently obsessed with it lmao
OK so basically Eggman in this universe is still the mad doctor type, he’s just obsessed with the occult instead of robotics. He’s a mortal human but hunts monsters for experiments and he’s obsessed with gaining supernatural powers to rule the world, and Sonic and Amy with their usual group are his main enemies.
He has a big following of humans (who think he’s trying to save them from monsters) and a rather large army of other monsters who work for him - so he has a ton of resources despite being a 'regular dude', and he’s slowly collecting spellbooks and teaching himself magic.
He finds a rare grimoire, and it unlocks a treasure trove of dark magics. Now his big master plan is to summon a demon to serve him and gain ultimate power, to do this he needs the seven emeralds for the ritual.
Sonic and Amy are the main hero duo in the story, Sonic was cursed with lycanthropy as a child when a pack attacked his village, he was spared because he was young, and went to find a witch in hopes of a cure. The witch he found was Vanilla, her daughter Cream, and Amy who is her apprentice. Before Sonic could be cured he made friends with a few other cryptids who live in the same woods and in the end decided he’d rather stay cursed with them as he had nowhere else to go anyways. He’s not in a traditional pack (all were-creatures) instead they have a rag-tag group with all kinds of different monsters that live with the witches (Tails and Knux are in there somewhere I promise jkfgdhdf). He likes having the werehog strength so he can fight back and protect his new family.
Rouge is a born Vampire, not turned. Her parents were killed at some point and she took over their coven after she avenged them and proved herself worthy. She’s like the Queen of sorts and rules over a majority of the vampires across the world - she has eyes (and ears) everywhere, there's very little she doesn’t know about. So Sonic and Amy ask her for help when they realise Eggman’s planning something big. She has a huge hoard of gems locked up in a big spooky cliffside castle, she’s obsessed with treasure still. She agrees to aid them to overthrow Eggman in exchange for the seven emeralds for herself. She doesn’t want to use them for their power, so they agree.
Everyone teams up to find the emeralds first, but Eggman outsmarts them, and the ritual begins before they can stop him, and once it’s begun it’s irreversible. The only thing they can do at this point is change who the demon is bound to, so Sonic throws himself into the curse (he already has one after all).
Shadow is the demon that’s summoned. Typical demon pacts imply that he’ll do whatever the summoner asks, granting them ultimate power, but he’ll get their soul in return. The catch is if Sonic never asks him to do anything, he’s technically not indebted and Shadow won't get his soul. It’s a game of temptation, but since Sonic was technically an unwilling participant, Shadow's more intrigued than anything - he’s confident Sonic will eventually cave and ask him for something (they always do) so he doesn’t attempt to trick him, he sees no need.
Sonic now has a demon chained to him constantly, and he’s extremely on guard (demons are as powerful as creatures get in this universe) and he’s off put by how genuine Shadow comes across. Shadow asks a lot of questions, and Sonic assumes he’s doing it to learn how to manipulate him - Shadow finds it amusing. Eventually they get used to each other, Shadow and Rouge get along well (though they both tease Sonic mercilessly together so he tries to avoid her but Shadow will nag him to visit) Amy tries to work on a spell to break the bond between them but it's a notoriously hard spell to break (perhaps impossible as they destroyed the grimoire in the fight with Eggman), but eventually Sonic and Shadow are both unsure if they want it to be broken at all…
Sonic starts asking Shadow questions too, and finds out more about Shadow. Originally he was an angel - thousands of years ago he had a mortal friend (Maria) and the two of them were inseparable. Unlike demons, angels rarely interact with the world so her village mistook her good fortune as witchcraft and assumed Shadow to be a demon. They killed her over it, and Shadow was heartbroken - in a fit of rage he lashed out, wiped out their town and proved to them he could be the demon they thought he was. He became a fallen angel, scorned and bitter - not born of pure evil but clearly capable of carnage all the same.
Unlike hellborn demons, Shadow doesn’t enjoy mindlessly committing atrocities - he has to feel it’s a necessary evil or he’ll turn it on his summoner (this makes him dangerous to summon, he’s normally considered off-limits). He’s one of the more powerful demons but he’s hard to reason with to make it worth it. Eggman targeted him specifically because he thought Shadow would side with him as Maria was a distant ancestor of his.
Once the annoyance of being forcefully summoned wears off,  Shadow’s rather pleased Sonic isn’t trying to use him for anything - he’s secretly happy to have someone with decent morals to hang out with (he’s an outcast in hell for obvious reasons) but he’d refused to make mortal contact with anyone willingly after Maria for fear of resigning them to a bad fate all over again.
Again thank you for reading!! I'll have more art to share soon!! :)

Meeting Wilbur - Music Giant AU
(This is so bad for my first writing. You might think it's good, but I don't)
-------
"Tallulah!" The young giant heard her papa called out
She gasped and then looked at the human before exclaiming, "Papa!" getting up to greet her father at the cave entrance, Tommy raised an eyebrow.
"Papa?" he parroted.
There were more of them? Oh gods.. if there were that, just made Tommy more nervous. A baby giant was bad enough, but a full-grown one? that was a whole other story.. what were they gonna do to him?
"Papa!" he heard her exclaim in an excited tone, He watched as the other giant gasped excitedly, "Tallulah! mi niña!" he replied with the same excitement his daughter gave him, embracing his daughter in a big hug as he ruffled her hair up, Tallulah giggled as she returned the hug, and then she seemed to have remembered that Tommy was there because she quickly followed up with:
"Papa! I have something to show you!"
The Giant raised his eyebrows curiously, "Oh?" he said Tommy felt the vibrations in the ground as he exited the hug.
"What is it, love?" Tommy watched as a little grin grew on the younger ones face, and then, without any real warning, he was picked up from off of the ground and cupped into her hands he jolted as she walked over to her father to show him.
Wilbur crouched down as his daughter brought the human to him, just to gain a better look. "Ta da!" she raised her hands up to the giant who looked in surprise when he saw the little human in his daughters hands.
Tommy, on the other hand, was naturally terrified, this giant was BIG at least several feet taller than his child and given the look on his face he didn't seem too happy about him being there, Tommy gave a nervous little wave to the giant who looked down at him and then back at his child questioning:
"You brought a human into our home?" in a light yet slightly suspicious tone, Tallulah's face fell as she lowered her hands and brought Tommy closer to herself.
"Well.. no- technically, he brought himself into our home."
"That's even worse!" The Giant exclaimed as he looked back down at the human before adding:
"Tallulah, I've told you how dangerous humans are. They're smarter than they look. They'd kill us if they had the chance." The young giant looked down as her father explained this to her, "I know.. but can I just keep him Papa? please! I'd keep an eye on him if he tries anything, and he really doesn't seem like he has anywhere else to go!" she said.
Wilbur raised an eyebrow at the question, "Keep him?" he laughed lightly, "Lulah he probably has a family to go back to, we shouldn't hold him back he probably has a life too, you know."
"Please, Papa?" Tommy had to stop himself from laughing as the young giant gave her father puppy dog eyes, Wilbur sighed.. how could he say no to that face?
Tommy just kind of vibes as the two giants talked it out while being kept by a giant didn't seem like a good idea, he kind of had no where else to go since Cellbit's guards were still after him.
So, maybe this could work? For the time being, at least stay with the two giants until they finally stopped looking for him; "I-" he cleared his throat, which got the other male's attention he looked down nervously those big brown eyes were intimidating to look at even if they meant no harm.
"I actually wouldn't mind staying here with her, if that's alright." He said. Honestly, he couldn't believe that those words came out of his mouth. Wilbur raised an eyebrow while Tallulah gasped in excitement.
"Are you sure?" the giant replied, "I don't want to take you from your family or friends or whoevers waiting for you back there."
Tommy shook his head.
Although a little suspicious, Wilbur sighed and eventually gave in; "Then I guess.. he can stay." Tallulah smiled widely as she exclaimed in excitement.
"Thank you, Papa!" she smiled as she hugged her father. He laughed as he patted her on the head, "I'll take good care of him, I promise." The girl smiled, Tommy looked up at her as she took him into her side of the cave and thought to himself, 'Oh gods.. what did I get myself into-'

did tsukasa cause problems for his family when he was young how to kill parents?? Did tsukasa lose control and amane considered him dangerous and killed him??
That's the million dollar question hahahaha
There are several possibilities, and this is one of them. Her problem is that she is very obvious, easy to assume. It's one of the first things that comes to mind when we think about what happened to the twins.
I like a specific possibility, I'll tell you which one.
We saw that Tsukasa, after uniting with the creature, granted a wish to one of the temple's exorcists (sorry, I forgot his name hahaha) the result of this wish was the death of the temple leader.
You noticed that he was very scared, didn't you?
The creature can know what people's deepest desires are without them having to say it, we saw it doing this with Kou, and with Tsukasa himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I imagine that Tsukasa and the creature together went around fulfilling people's wishes, the problem was paying for these wishes. Let's also think about negative desires, as happened with the temple exorcist, who wished the leader would die.
Perhaps some of these desires led to one or more tragic consequences. Can you imagine Tsukasa telling his mother "I'll make your wish come true, mom!" and soon after someone she knew dies?
Or if he's already done this to other people in front of her. Did you see the way he looked at her?
Tumblr media
If she noticed and was sure there was something wrong with Tsukasa, it was because he did this kind of thing in front of her, or with her.
Imagine finding your child talking to himself in his room about things like this:
Tumblr media
The tragedy happened because the family was probably trying to help Tsukasa get that thing off him, but as we saw, it didn't work. Nene was taken away just for trying to take little Tsukasa out of the red house, so…. What did the creature do when they tried to take the boy away from her?
Amane tried to stab her directly, he injured Tsukasa where she was, but it seems that that didn't solve the problem either.
Tsukasa didn't seem to want to let go of that thing either, the two wanted to stay together. Basically, it was an extremely difficult problem to solve, Amane found an extreme solution that didn't work, he killed his brother but the thing is still there.
So in short, one of the hypotheses I like most is that his family was trying to help him get rid of that creature, but they couldn't, we don't really know the consequences of that, but we imagine that it ended in the deaths of some people.
It is worth remembering that we cannot exclude Amane from this entire situation. There is something in his past that he cannot tell, something that is worse than killing his own brother, what would it be?
He doesn't like talking about it, he doesn't like remembering it and he's afraid they'll find out, especially Yashiro, because as Tsuchigomori said, "she would stop being good to him" in other words, he did something terrible.
So, the blame is also pointed at Amane. Who knows, perhaps he decided that it was better for everyone in the house to die along with the creature? The house is afraid of fire, and when it returns to its original state we see it all on fire. Which means he could have set it on fire with everyone inside.
I don't know if I really believe in the hypothesis that they all died because of the fire, since their ghosts don't have burn marks, but the fire is definitely present.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't know, the secret is in Hanako's sin, what did he do that was so terrible that it's worse than killing his own brother?

I think it's noteworthy how Sn*ly is all about Sn*p* changing for/because of Lily and how a lot of Jily fans don't like the idea of James changing only for/because of Lily. [I just saw your post talking about James and Lily in sixth year]
Hello! This is something I've thought about a lot.
As I said in the post (here it is), there is a substantial difference between changing for yourself and changing for someone else.
Now, there's nothing wrong with someone inspiring you to change for the better: people can and should be a positive influence on you, especially the ones closest to you. This is not Snape's case in my opinion. Lily tried to stop him from pursuing the dark arts, she showed there was an alternative, but he refused to listen. When she made the choice to cut him out of her life, he didn't accept it and kept harassing her. When he found out Voldemort wanted to kill the Potters, he asked him to spare Lily, and only Lily.
Did he behave differently after she died? You'd think he'd learn a thing or two from the love of his life, like compassion and kindness. Like being good without an ulterior motive. But no, he heavily bullied kids - and not just any kids, we're talking about his students - and was incredibly biased towards Harry because he was his enemy's son. He criticised James' bullying but he did the same thing even as an adult. Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.
It can be argued that Snape was just pretending to be horrible because he couldn't let his cover be blown. And it can also be argued that he grew fond of Harry but never showed it. Let's assume all of this is true... Am I right in thinking that being so hideous came way too easily to him? And what's more important, are we sure he didn't want Voldemort dead purely because he had killed Lily? After all, we have plenty of evidence that he's extremely prone to holding grudges. It makes sense that he'd want to get revenge against the man who didn't spare Lily's life.
We do not know if he had other reasons, but even the memories that Harry sees in the pensieve reinforce my theory. I'll play devil's advocate and not take into account the things he said or did as a Hogwarts student because many people think that he was just being an immature teenager. So let's see what we have:
“If she means so much to you,” said Dumbledore, “surely Lord Voldemort will spare her? Could you not ask for mercy for the mother, in exchange for the son?” “I have—I have asked him—” “You disgust me,” said Dumbledore, and Harry had never heard so much contempt in his voice. Snape seemed to shrink a little, “You do not care, then, about the deaths of her husband and child? They can die, as long as you have what you want?” Snape said nothing, but merely looked up at Dumbledore.
And then:
“The Dark Lord will return, and Harry Potter will be in terrible danger when he does.” There was a long pause, and slowly Snape regained control of himself, mastered his own breathing. At last he said, “Very well. Very well. But never—never tell, Dumbledore! This must be between us! Swear it! I cannot bear... especially Potter’s son... I want your word!”
But this is when the pain is still fresh, right? Maybe he wasn't thinking clearly. Let's see another passage, ten years later, during Harry's first year, where Snape is 31:
“—mediocre, arrogant as his father, a determined rulebreaker, delighted to find himself famous, attention-seeking and impertinent—”
This is how Snape describes Harry to Dumbledore, the one person he didn't need to lie to, the only person who knew he was a double agent. But then again, this is just at the beginning, he didn't know Harry that well. Maybe he'll change his mind in the future? Let's take a look at the scene where Dumbledore asks him to kill him:
“If you don’t mind dying,” said Snape roughly, “why not let Draco do it?” “That boy’s soul is not yet so damaged,” said Dumbledore. “I would not have it ripped apart on my account.” “And my soul, Dumbledore? Mine?”
Sounds like he doesn't want to be the cause of yet another person's death. Understandable. Snape isn't being selfish at all, no. He's worried about his poor soul, who cares about the soul of 16 year old Draco, am I right? Maybe this next passage will redeem him:
“Why? You aren’t trying to give him more detentions, Severus? The boy will soon have spent more time in detention than out.” “He is his father over again—” “In looks, perhaps, but his deepest nature is much more like his mother’s. I spend time with Harry because I have things to discuss with him, information I must give him before it is too late.” “Information,” repeated Snape. “You trust him... you do not trust me.” “It is not a question of trust. I have, as we both know, limited time. It is essential that I give the boy enough information for him to do what he needs to do.” “And why may I not have the same information?” “I prefer not to put all of my secrets in one basket, particularly not a basket that spends so much time dangling on the arm of Lord Voldemort.” “Which I do on your orders!” “And you do it extremely well. Do not think that I underestimate the constant danger in which you place yourself, Severus. To give Voldemort what appears to be valuable information while withholding the essentials is a job I would entrust to nobody but you.” “Yet you confide much more in a boy who is incapable of Occlumency, whose magic is mediocre, and who has a direct connection into the Dark Lord’s mind!” [...] “You refuse to tell me everything, yet you expect that small service of me!” snarled Snape, and real anger flared in the thin face now. “You take a great deal for granted, Dumbledore! Perhaps I have changed my mind!”
Let's see... He's comparing Harry to James again, calls him mediocre and he's jealous because Dumbledore trusts Harry more than Snape. Oh, and he threatens to turn to the dark side if he doesn't get what he wants. This is a 37 year old man. Perhaps he's just upset because Dumbledore is dying? Yeah, that's it. Let's give him another chance:
Another long silence. Then Snape said, “I thought... all those years... that we were protecting him for her. For Lily.”
[...] “You have used me.” “Meaning?” “I have spied for you and lied for you, put myself in mortal danger for you. Everything was supposed to be to keep Lily Potter’s son safe. Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter—” “But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?” “For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!” From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor, bounded once across the office, and soared out of the window. Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears. “After all this time?” “Always,” said Snape.
I don't know, maybe they should protect Harry simply because he's a kid and he doesn't deserve to die? Isn't that enough? He doesn't have to be Lily's son to be worthy of staying alive. And when Dumbledore insinuates that he cares about Harry, Snape makes it clear that no, it's not for him, and after all these years... It's still for Lily. Because he's asking for her forgiveness. Noble, right? It's not as if you should do good things because it's the right thing to do.
Snape took the page bearing Lily’s signature, and her love, and tucked it inside his robes. Then he ripped in two the photograph he was also holding, so that he kept the part from which Lily laughed, throwing the portion showing James and Harry back onto the floor, under the chest of drawers...
Oh look! He's stealing a letter that wasn't addressed to him! And he's stealing the photograph as well! Well, not all of it, why would he care about James and Harry? Totally normal and justified behaviour from a man who's nearing his forties. Not possessive at all. He definitely deserves to keep that photograph of Lily more than Harry does.
... Sarcasm aside, Snape didn't change his ways. He didn't change his morals.
(Also, in the book Snape never says 'You have your mother's eyes', which, along with Alan Rickman's wonderful perfomance, greatly contributed to Snape being considered a good man. He does ask Harry to look at him, though, implying he wanted to see Lily's eyes one last time. Which makes me think that even up until the end he only saw Harry as an extension of Lily, and not as his own person.)
Unfortunately we don't have nearly enough information about James, but we do know that he saved Snape when he went after Remus to the Shrieking Shack when they were in school, while Snape was perfectly happy to let Lily's husband and son die if it meant she could live. James wasn't a saint when he was younger, and Lily reminded him all the time how much she despised his behaviour. But as I said in the other post, the incident at the lake was eye-opening for both Lily and James. It's clear that he hadn't realised that his actions could have hurt her prior to that. He was a sheltered and ignorant kid, but we know from canon that he grew up. He became responsible enough to be appointed Head Boy without any previous experience as a prefect, and then he joined the Order. Sounds to me like he proved he could grow. Personally I think that Lily wouldn't have let James into her life if she didn't truly think he had changed. Saying that she was brainwashed into marrying James is an insult to her intelligence. It's as if she has no will of her own, no choice, no autonomy. Which is simply no true. This is the same woman who refused to join Voldemort after being offered to, who refused to step aside when Voldemort arrived at Godric's Hollow.
Snape's love - if you want to call it that - for Lily is conditional; James' love for her is selfless. He could have lived a long life but chose to fight and die for the cause. And he made this choice long before they were together, by befriending people like Sirius (a traitor), Remus (a monster) and Peter (an outcast). And after Snape stops poisoning Lily's mind - insulting and judging James and his friends - Lily is free. When he is removed from the equation, Lily is allowed to grow.
In conclusion: Snape did not change and become a better person, and even if he did, it was for selfish reasons.

Hi!! Saw you asking for requests... could you please write an angst for Evan Peters' character in AHS Asylum Kit Walker x female reader w them in Briarcliff? If you don't do his characters, it can be an angst with Evan himself pls! thank u!!
Ur wish is my demand
A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved
Pairing: Kit Walker x fem!reader
Words: 1526
Warnings: angst, cigarettes (don’t smoke guys!), Dr Arthur is a warning himself, fake facts (more in an), mention of suicide
An: Suicide and scolioses are not contagious diseases! If u have suicidal thoughts please talk with someone about it <3 Crazy that they though scolioses is contagious!
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫
I was once again in the process of asking everyone possible for cigarettes. The guards already knew my behavior and only replied: "Get off, I have nothing for you!" They became really cheeky towards us. Suddenly the record player stopped playing the horrible song. It was a salvation for some, but quite the opposite for others. Like Pepper she was starting to lose her mind and I ran over to her. "Hey everything will be fine." I said calmly to her and she slowly came down again. Sister Mary, also known as Sister Devil by me, took care of the record player and quickly that annoying song had returned. Pepper hugged me gratefully and as she went back to what she had been doing before I looked around. Only a few other patients were a little upset. And as I looked around the crowd I noticed two beautiful brown eyes looking at me as well. He had to be the rebellious newbie as I've never seen him here before and I've been here for a number of years. So I went up to him to introduce myself. But while I was doing this, I noticed the fearful looks of my fellow patients. What did you have? When I stood in front of him and wanted to say something, he already interrupted me: "Finally someone who talks to me! What is this place and why is this nun looking at me like the devil himself?” he pointed to Sister Mary. I giggled to myself. "If you give me one of your cigarettes I'll answer your questions." He nodded hastily and handed me one."Ok listen.." I gave him a questionable look since I didn't know his name yet.
"Kit," he answered hastily.
"Listen, Kit, this nun," I smiled, "is Sister Mary, or how I call her Sister Devil. I think she was thinking of a satanic institution by the name of Briarcliff.” He looked at me sideways, but I just kept talking. “Briarcliff is a mental institution, as they would say among the genteel. People of all kinds are dropped off here. For example Pepper” I pointed to her “she is originally from a freak show and was then given to her sister after Peppers boyfriend died. She claimed that Pepper killed her child. However, I think it was her or her husband because Pepper loves babies.” Now I pointed to Lana, “This is Lana, she's a lesbian and that's Why she’s here.” I looked at him to see his reaction. Everyone I told that was mostly disgusted, how could such a thing even exist, they just said. But Kit remained silent and after half a minute he said: "It's not legal. It's not legal to have her locked up for something so natural.” I smiled sadly. "If I tell you why I'm here, will you also tell me why you're here?" He smiled but then said, "I'd love to make the deal, but I have no idea why I'm here."
"That's ok, I'm sure you'll remember it soon. Sister Jude puts you on a higher dose of drugs for the first few weeks than after, that can affect your memories.” Now that I took a closer look at him, I realized just how beautiful he actually was. Did he have a girlfriend out there or even a family.
"Have you been here long?" he asked me.
"Too long. You will probably think that you have been here too long than you should. But you won't know it's too long until you don't leave here. Because you know every patient, everyone is your family and this horrible place here is your home, Kit.” I didn't dare to look at him. My vision was now becoming glassy and I was about to cry terribly.
"Miss Y/N your kitchen duty is now ready to begin." Nurse Jude smiled at me.
“You Walker can follow her. Behave.”
"He won't slit my throat, Judy." I laughed at her, but she just looked back dejectedly.
On the way to the kitchen I said to Kit: "That was Sisters Jude, don't call her Judy." I laughed. "Why?" he asked. “Judy is a sadist. There will be whiplashes on your back or on your pretty butt if you do anything like that.”
"Where did I end up here?" he asked.
"In hell, Kit."
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫
In the kitchen I showed him our tasks and of course he asked more questions.
But when we were done with that, we left the kitchen and were greeted by a happy Dr. Arthur.
"Miss Y/N please follow me."
I looked at Kit and nodded towards the sitting room.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫
When I got to his operating room, I sat down on the couch.
“I gathered from a conversation between Sister Jude and Mary that you wanted to kill yourself before your Briarcliff time. I would like you to avoid direct contact with our patients, because I don't want any more deaths."
How many times have I heard in this life that this was contagious.
”may I go now?" I said, rolling my eyes.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫
In the morning I stood next to Kit outside of our cells.
"What did Dr. arthur wanted?”
"Talking about an infectious disease I'm supposed to have."
"Which?" he said as he looked down at me. And I hesitated.
We all walked to breakfast.
"I was admitted back then because I wanted to kill myself, Kit." I whispered to him. I didn't dare look at him anymore.
"Are you still having those thoughts?" he asked.
"Not as often as I used to." I noticed his eyes on me. I thought he was about to step away from me, but he took my hand in his.
"A sorrow shared is a sorrow halved," he whispered.
"I don't think it works that way." I laughed back.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.・。.・゜✭・.・✫
As is so often the case, our first meal of the day was interrupted by Dr. Arthur.
"Come with me Miss Y/N!" he almost yelled.
I quickly followed him and when he got to his operating room he said he wanted to examine me.
When he touched my back with his cold hands, he flinched and put on a mask.
"You have scoliosis, a highly contagious disease!" he finally shouted.
"I have to operate on her." He continued to speak more calmly. "I've only done this surgery once, but I'll be fine." He smiled creepily at me.
"What happened to that one person?"
"She is no longer alive. I have to be very precise and there are many things that can go wrong. In the worst case, you would die.”
All I could do was look at him in shock.
"Can I at least say goodbye to someone before they disassemble my back?"
"No way! But you can continue to eat your breakfast in the cell as long as I prepare the operation.”
As I walked out of the room, I purposely took the long way to our 'rooms' so I could get past the lounge. And then when I saw Kit seeing me looking for him, I nodded him to follow me. I slowly walked towards my cell as Kit caught up with me.
"What-" he asked but I cut him off.
"I have scoliosis Kit. Dr Arthur wants to operate me, he says the disease is highly contagious and that there is a slim chance I will survive.” We had now arrived at my cell.
"I don't know if I'll survive." I put my hands on his chest and looked up at him.
"It would be a shame if I died and didn't tell you I really like you Kit"
We've known each other for three weeks and I already said something like that?! But somehow it felt right.
"Kit say something he'll probably be right over to pick me up for the surgery. Please say something-"
But Kit said nothing and kissed me. As we broke apart, he began to speak.
"You will survive and I will wait for you. We're going to get out of here.” He said while his fingers made little circles on my hip.
"By the way, now I know why I was brought here Y/N" he started again.
"Y/N!" it yelled from the hallway. The doctor was done.
"Tell me if when I’m back." I whispered.
He nodded and kissed me again.
"I'm coming Doctor" I called as we broke away from each other.
And so I walked down the long corridor with the doctor who was about to perform a life-threatening operation on me.
And behind us a woman dressed in black was following us me.

Splinter lives.
@nrrrdgrrrl2002 you gave me an idea.
Instead of the cold hands of death he's pulled into the warm embraces of his children as they help him up.
Or rather some of his children, Donnie and Mikey are holding him.
While Raph is holding up Leo, who looks a lot worse for wear.
"Leo!"
Donnie and Mikey run over, any thought of their father vanishing at the sight of their big brother.
Splinter smiles, his cane back in his head and he steadies himself.
He is about to go to his son, to congratulate him, to show him how proud of him he is.
For the Shredder is gone.
But something feels amiss.
His son is nowhere near the Shredders body.
Splinter let's his gaze fall on his old friend.
The once mighty Oroku Saki lays crushed in a trash compactor.
And any pride Splinter feels vanishes.
His son hadn't made him proud.
Hadn't taken the task his father had given to him and succeeded in it.
He had failed him.
Casey and April returned, the two had vanished earlier. Now returning in the Party Wagon.
Neither looked happy.
"Case! Help me with Leo!" Said Raph, Casey went over and with a gentleness few knew he possessed he took Leo's other side and helped him to the van.
"Sorry we couldn't get anything bigger." Apologised April, Donnie smiled shaking his head "don't worry about it. But... What is this thing?"
April snorted "my dad's ol party wagon from his college days. He gave me the keys to my grandma's farmhouse so well be laying low their for a while."
She didn't mention he hadn't made it out but Donnie could put the pieces together.
"It won't be long" He said trying to comfort her and she smiled through it didn't reach her eyes.
The two settled into the van. It was a bit of a tight squeeze, but they made it work.
"Next time I'm just hijacking an ambulance." Grumbled Casey, beside him April snorted "real classy of you Jones."
Casey grinned though it was small "you know me Red." April smiled back, she thanked whatever God's existed that she'd befriended Casey Jones all that time ago. "Yeah, I know you. Now get us out of here."
Casey gave a thumbs up, turned the keys and drove away.
It didn't take long for the turtles to fall asleep. All of them somehow curling up together like they had when they were young.
April was humming one of the songs on the radio and Casey was drumming his fingers on the dashboard.
Splinter was awake.
How could he sleep after all that happened?
He looked at his students, his sons all sleeping peacefully as if nothing had happened.
Almost like he could sense the older rats gaze, Casey's hand paused.
"Splinter..." his voice was cold, nothing like anything Splinter had heard from the boy.
Casey met his gaze in the mirror, cold and unwavering.
"You try anything and you can walk it."
His voice said he was kidding.
And from the way April's posture went from relaxed to alert, she wouldn't stop him.
"What I do with my children is not your concern, Casey Jones."
Casey's eyes went alight with fire, his grip on the wheel tightened. "If you hurt them I'll kill you myself."
He said simply.
And he meant it.
Splinter couldn't help the scoff, the idea that a simple boy could defeat him.
Casey smiled but it wasn't kind.
"I've already killed one ninja master today, I'm open to another."
Splinters eyes widened, surely not... Surely... But he knew neither were lying.
A simple boy had killed the Shredder.
An undisciplined, reckless, angry child had taken out his old friend.
It was like a slap to the face.
"That was not your choice to make."
"Really? That's what you say to that?" Says April. "Your greatest enemy defeated and your mad it was Casey who did it?" She said, unable to process it.
"Sorry man, if I know you'd call dibs I totally would've done the same thing." Said Casey with a snort.
Splinter glared "it was Leo's responsibility, his job as leader."
Casey was silent before slamming his foot on the break.
Luckily the turtles remained snoozing.
Casey got out the van, and hauled Splinter out onto the floor in a heap.
"Your sons almost died and you don't even care, do you?! Leo might not be able to walk again and you don't care?!... If anyone's the failure it's you." Seethed Casey.
"Not only did you put all that pressure on Leo, you pushed him till he almost died and your mad he didn't?!" Hissed April.
Both of them looked at Splinter like he was the scum of the earth.
"Your the worst father I've ever met, and I've met mine so that's saying something." Said Casey shaking his head.
Splinter glared "I gave them everything I had! I raised 4 mutants in a sewer with no one to help me."
"Yeah no you don't get to pull the generational trauma card right now, get in line." Said April folding her arms.
"Why does it matter who kills the Shredder? If your that obsessed with it why didn't you do it? You failed the first time but you've had 16, 17 years to do it."
Splinter was seething that either of these children had the nerve to speak to him like that.
"Leo isn't you, you know that? Actually no I don't think you know it so let me spell it out for you. Leo isn't you, Raph isn't you, Donnie isn't you, Mikey isn't you. There better than you could ever be."
Splinter gave her a disbelieving look. "Ninja they may be, but they are undisciplined, reckle-"
"Do you even like them?" Asked Casey, "seriously, do you even care for them." Splinter sighs "of course I do."
Casey and April exchanged looks of disbelief. "Alright, name something you like about all of them that doesn't involve ninjutsu."
The silence spoke volumes.
Casey shook his head "unbelievable...how, how can you look at them and not love them. Their such lovable little dorks. Grew on me like a fungus."
April snorted "gross, but not untrue."
"You see them as nothing other than soilders to carry out your plans. I bet you don't know that Mikey wants to be a chef, pretty sure Mister Murakami is gonna give him 24/7 when he passes on." Said April fondly.
"Don's gonna out do us all, he's getting his GED." Said Casey with a smile. "Raph says drummer but he wants to be a kindergarten teacher. He tries to pretend but he loves those sticky lil guys, my lil sis adores him."
"And Leo, he's not sure just yet but he wants to travel the world. Those boys are gonna go far, no thanks to you." Says April.
Splinter is shocked "what? Did you think they were gonna spend their whole lives fighting for your dream?" She says with a look.
"... Raphael shouldn't around children. His anger is dangerous." Was all Splinter said.
Casey rolled his eyes "you ever think, oh wise ninja man that you purposely poking him with a stuck till he blows up is why his anger gets so bad. And you didn't even try to teach him how to control it, just humiliate him."
Splinter didn't say anything only frowned deeper.
April gently bumped her shoulder with his, reminding him he wasn't alone. Casey bumped hers back, thankful.
"And showing them the world... You'll expose them to humans."
Now both humans rolled their eyes at him.
"Splinter, do you know what a camera is?" Asked April, seriously. "Of course I do" He snapped.
"Well when people notice mutant happenings because of course they did. They took videos, uploaded em to the Internet.
Hell the whole rat king thing was broadcasted on live TV. Your sons are known, and no thanks from you their safe." She said, the mighty mutanimals had handed that.
"Mutants started integrating with humanity long ago, your kids are no different. Their all raking their courses online but I drop em off every morning for school with April. I'd say I'm suprised you didn't notice but... Yeah.
And their all hella smart, we're all gonna graduate togrther and move out to some flat we can squeeze into, Donnie's already got an internship lined up." Explained Casey, pride in his voice.
Splinter could stand stunned.
He had no idea.
"Careful you might blow his mind." Teased April. "I thought he was gonna explode when you asked him what a camera was, that's too advanced for an ol timer." Teased Casey.
Both bursting into laughter.
Leaving Splinter humiliated, all of this was wrong. So wrong. His sons were never to leave, a GED? Internships? It was all wrong. They were to be ninja, to fight the Shredder and protect this city.
Not act like children.
They were monsters, mutants they would never belong amongst humans.
This was wrong.
"You... Dare take my sons from their rightful path..." He hissed, but April and Casey we're done with him.
"If their rightful path is being a child soilder than yes, huh should've known you and Shredder were related. Given how you both raise your kids, I'm glad Karai got free of you both."
That sent Splinter foting at them, enraged.
No one talked about his Miwa like that.
Casey fell to the ground, April was about to use her powers to throw Splinter off when another voice came out.
"Leave them alone."
It was Leo, stumbling on his injured leg but his face determined.
"Stand down Leonardo."
"No, you always taught me to follow my instincts and mine say leave my family alone."
"I am your father!"
"Than why won't you act like it...just leave us alone to deal with this, your good at that."
Splinter glared but he did infact leave "you will regret this."
"Already do...Casey! Are you okay!" Asked Leo, Casey gave him a thumbs up as April helped him up. "I'm good man, just caught me suprise."
Leo nodded, he looked out to the distance where his father had gone before back at his friends.
His family.
"How much did you hear?" Asked April hesitantly "most of it... Thanks for standing up for us."
And he meant it.
Both of them had been strangers all that time ago but had both become people Leo was proud to call family.
"Always." Both of them echoed. "Now let's get this show back on the road" said Casey, helping Leo in and the trio returned to their seats.
"And Leo" said April, turning to face him. "We're both really proud of you." She smiled. Casey nodded in agreement "so proud."
Leo blinked in suprise before smiling. He felt a weight lift of his shoulders. Somehow that meant more than his father's approval ever had.
"Thanks. You think we could we listen to the radio?"
"Sure, but if Casey starts singing I'm out. Said April, receiving a sqawk of protest from Casey.
"I have the voice of angels Red, your just jealous."
Leo smiled, watching them banter and curled back up to his brothers who were awake.
Had been awake for a while.
"Hey Casey the Angels called they want their banscgnee scream back." Said Raph. Casey huffed but he was smiling.
"If it gets us going, I guess I can put up with Casey's voice." Said Donnie, "thanks Don!"
Mikey giggled af their antics and joined in as Casey sung his heart out.
Raph caught Leo's eyes and hugged him close. And Leo knew he had heard everything.
They knew April and Casey could handle it but would all have jumped in if they had too.
For each other.
And this thought Leo, this was home.

"He must have been Terrifying," Scarlett shivered, her porcelain hands clinking against her empty glass as she fiddled with it.
"I heard that by the end of it the prince was fully a beast. Sharp claws and everything," Brigadier nodded his agreement. "Ate the corpses that lab of his churned out if the rumors are to be believed."
Lou listened intently to them both, his eyes wide and curious as the monster hunters traded tales of the alchemist that had created his kind. "Why? Why would someone Do something like that?"
"Power... And laziness," Scarlett responded, "Probably. No real knowing now that he's dead."
"Laziness? What's lazy about a mad scientist going feral?" Brigs raised his brow at her as he took a sip from his own drink.
"He was still a Prince! The man must have still had servants bringing him meals. I reckon he ate those bodies because he was too lazy to leave his lab to eat something else."
"Cadfael didn't eat people," Montgomery sighed, "Ignore the rumors, Lou."
"How can you possibly know that," said Scarlett, "It's not like you were a fly on his wall."
"Why would he need to be a fly on the wall? Weren't you the prince's guard?" Lou turned his attention to his handler, not bothering to properly move in his seat and instead just twisted and reformed straddling it backwards.
"Wait- No fucking way. Montgomery isn't old enough to have been part of the court," Scarlett was about to scold him for lying to Lou but Montgomery just shrugged.
"Yeah, I was. For near on twenty years."
"How!? The man's been dead just about that long and you can't be a day over 25." her dolls face didn't do as much to convey her confusion as the rattling of her joints did.
"I'm 48."
"Yeah I'm calling Bullshit," Brigadier scoffed. "No fucking Way you're older than me."
"And that math doesn't even work out. Twenty years dead and twenty in his service means you would of only been 8 when you started guarding him."
Montgomery sighed, "It's been 18 years since he died, not 20. Noble families sometimes take on child guards, kids who's job it is to train to be a proper guard while giving the royal brat some companionship. I was 10 and he was 9 when I started working for the crown. Spent every single day between that first and his last at his side."
"How come you told Lou before us? We've known each other years," Brigs put a hand on his chest, his face pinched with mild hurt. "Thought we were friends."
"That's your gripe with this? He's a royal sympathiser, and Hid this from us!"
"Stop it you two," Lou scolded them, "He never told me. I figured it out on my own, and I figured it out because he was also the one who killed Cadfael. Not much of a sympathiser now is he?"
"You fucking killed Cadfael!?" Scarlet slammed her hands down on the table, breaking the glass under them in her disbelief. "Wow- Oh fuck, sorry, I'll get you another glass. No- You are the guy who took down that Fucker. I'll get you Three!"
"Shut the fuck up. We're not-" Montgomery grit his teeth, his hand white knuckled on the arm of his chair as he forced himself to calm down. He did manage to catch his temper before it could do more than make the wood under his palms smoke. Taking a deep breath and returning to his usual firm but neutral tone, "Do not celebrate his death in front of me. Cadfael was a Good man. He screwed up, and by the end of it he wasn't himself anymore, but I Promise you, the man I swore to die for when he was crowned would have Never done what he did."
"How'd Lou find out?" Brigadier tried to quickly divert the subject to something Hopefully less likely to make Montgomery furious. It was rare to see him anger this quickly, and rarer yet to see him struggle so much to real it back in.
"When we were investigating the bird monster that had gotten into the closed off parts of the castle."
"He knew more than he should've. All the hidden paths and nooks and everything. It was Real obvious... I even got to see where Cadfael died-"
"Lou, Stop. We're done talking about his death. Anything else." Montgomery didn't look any of them in the eye.
"Then tell us this," Scarlett sat back in her chair folding her hands in her lap to stop herself fidgeting and breaking things further, "What was he like?"
"Smart. Smartest man I've ever met. Liked to sing to himself while he was working. Always had to be moving and danced to whatever song was in his head when he didn't think anyone was watching," he considered stopping, his lips pursing with the split desires to keep all the little things they had shared between himself and Cadfael's grave, and to finally let himself speak freely and honestly about his long dead best friend.
Eventually it was the latter that won out. For just a single moment the Cadfael he had known so dearly would be allowed to remembered instead of what came later.
"He liked to be twirled, and always preferred to follow instead of lead. He loved citrus and oranges more than anything but hated the sinewy bits in them. Couldn't stand to have his hands be sticky so he'd spend hours carefully peeling them with tweezers and a scalpel if I didn't do it for him. He loved his brother and did everything it took to make the kid laugh anytime he came to visit. He had constant nightmares when we were teenagers and would wake up screaming for me. Every single time it happened he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep until I promised him I would never put myself in harm's way for him despite that being my fucking job. After he got sick he made me promise him I'd retire to the beachside and name a dog after him when he died because he hated the idea of me doing something as dangerous as being a guard." He eventually stopped, taking a shaky breath and blinking back against unshed tears. "He was a Good man."
There was a lull as he tried to collect himself, the others all mulling over the complete contradiction his words were to what they had known about the prince.
Before Scarlett or Brigs could bring up the endless questions they now had, Lou cut in, "I don't think monster hunting is less dangerous than being a guard... Did you get the dog the dog at least?"
That was the straw that had Montgomery breaking. He laughed through his tears as he tried to wipe them away, "I'll fulfill my promise when my jobs done. As long as there's monsters, there's no on who will remember Cadfael for who he was."

Surah Al Qasas: Chapter 4
We learn that the wife of Pharaoh sees Musa AS in the river. She says to the soldiers, "Get that for me." So the family of Pharaoh picked him up, without realising that he will turn into an enemy and a cause of grief.
Word makes its way to Pharaoh that there is a baby, and he is from Bani Israel; they got to know that from the color of his skin. So the soldiers show up at the door of Asia, saying, "We're here to kill the baby." But she does not let them kill him and says, "No, you can't kill him; he's mine." She says to Pharaoh, "This is what makes me happy, this is what gets rid of my sadness. My eyes can't get off of him. Look at him, he's so cute. And he looks at him, and he can't take his eyes off either.
Even the great evil ruler of the world looks at this child, and he goes, "He is kind of cute," and he can't help himself. Allah put that special love even in the heart of Pharaoh. Thousands of babies have died because of this guy; he enslaves the nation; he's not a humanitarian. But when he sees Musa AS a child, his heart melts for him.
On the other hand, Musa's mother was overwhelmed; her heart was emptied out. It was like somebody gutted her and drained everything out of her heart when she couldn't see her child anymore. People would go to her, and she looked like she was paralyzed. She almost gave up her secret; she almost looked at the river when the soldiers came; she almost cried out for her baby. But Allah says, "Had we not tied up her heart," and tying up is used almost as though the woman, if she wasn't tied up, she'd run into the river. She was overwhelmed emotionally, but Allah calmed her down so she could be from those who truly believe. Why does it say that at the end? Allah says that He put her through that pain, and He wants to pay her for her troubles. And what am I going to pay her? I'll pay her with an iman that nobody will ever have. Allah says, "I did all of this so she could be from the truest of believers."
And why is it important that she be from the truest of believers? There's already a truest believer, Asya; she's already a believer. But Musa Alayhi Salaam will need two mothers to raise him in the center of Kufr; he'll need two moms, both of them that have the strongest iman so that they build that in him so that whenever he's in trouble, what does he learn to do? Turn to Allah immediately. He won't learn to do that unless he has special training. So it's all part of the parenting strategy for Musa.
After the soldiers left, Musa AS's mother said to his sister, "Follow him, every step of the way, don't lose sight of him." Meanwhile, in the castle, Musa AS would not accept any nurse's milk. Allah says He made wet nurses feed haram for him. Haram here doesn't mean that he looked at them and said no it’s haram; haram means that he wouldn't accept it. Now we learn another wisdom of how Allah programmed his mother's milk onto him. Right before she put him in the river, Allah told her to feed him, so he got programmed with that milk, now he won't accept any other milk.
They got him another wet nurse, but he won't stop crying. He was so loud that even the sister could hear outside. So they go outside to look for another wet nurse. The sister of Musa AS sees these ladies going outside on a search, and she goes, "What are you guys looking for?" They tell her, and the sister says, “I know a family; they're really good babysitters." So she takes them to her house and they appoint Musa AS's mother and sister for Musa AS. And she gets a job working at the castle.
Allah says in Quran while narrating the story, "Didn't I tell you I will return him to you? So that your eyes could be cool."
Allah told her to feed your child. If she didn't feed her child, then the child would never have been programmed to cry for that milk, and if that never happened, this entire plan wouldn't have come together. If Allah had told her the entire plan, she would have thought that is not possible; it's never going to happen.
So Allah just tells us what we need to know and has His own way of getting things done. This is how Allah's plan works. He just guides us through it, tells us only what is necessary, and makes miracles happen.
We never look at the bigger picture. Everything happening within our lives and in the world seems enormous, so significant that we overlook the lessons it hides. However, Allah keeps reminding us that every tiny or immense occurrence comes from His permission. He allows it to happen for a reason. The feeding of Musa by his mother before placing him in the river was necessary; the plan would have fallen apart without it. It may seem small, but it was a crucial factor in Allah's plan.
We cannot fathom, we cannot comprehend; we fail to see Allah's plan. But that does not mean He is not planning, nor does it mean that control lies with the enemy. No, it is Allah who allows it to happen; the enemy causing harm is just a part of the plan for a more significant purpose. The people getting harmed are part of His plan, and it will be revealed soon. We will realize that Allah was here all along, watching and working for our victory. He will reward every soul harmed in the process, just as He rewarded the mother of Musa.
Notice that Allah said He would reward the mother of Musa for the hurt she endured when she had to leave her baby in the river, even though the baby returned to her the same day? Allah will still reward her.
So, not only will every person be rewarded, but Allah will also grant us freedom and make us inheritors of the land. Just have faith.

character info sheet.
name. Kai Joseph Langdon
name meaning. The name Kai has Welsh origins but means different things in other cultures. Most often if you look it up it gives the Hawaiian meaning; 'The Sea', but in Welsh origin it means 'Keeper of the keys and earth'
alias( ses ). Divine Ruler (by cult members only), Councilman or Councilman Anderson.
two pictures you like of your character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
three headcanons you never told anyone.
( ** There really aren't many if any headcanons I've never shared with people, I've had Kai for 6 years as a muse in total. But I'll recycle some really old ones from my first blog fgbfdhbg )
i. Kai knows how to play piano...or knew how to play piano at one point I should say. He hasn't touched one since he was in high school. ii. His handwriting is awful. Like good luck reading anything he's ever wrote on paper, even he has trouble deciphering it sometimes (example below of how I wrote it once and I still think it's neater than what he'd do.)
Tumblr media
iii. This is kind of implied canon more than a headcanon but who cares. Kai changes out the rose on his parents bedroom door frequently, even adding some other flowers his mom liked sometimes.
three things your character likes to do in their free time.
i. Play video games like Mortal Ko.mbat, Ca.ll of Du.ty, GT.A, etc.
ii. Browse and post on redd.it / 4c.han / tw.itt.er because he's one of Those.
iii. Explore abandoned buildings.
three people your character loves.
Winter Anderson - His little sister, practically almost like a daughter in his eyes in my personal headcanon. Kai helped raise her since they were both kids and their mother suffered from mental illnesses and sometimes had trouble putting her attention on them and taking care of her abusive husband at the same time. Regardless of their differences and everything they've been through, they've stuck by each other's sides. Even though they shouldn't have. It would've been better for Winter in the end at least if she hadn't.
Julie Anderson - His mother whom he holds at a higher regard than she most likely deserved. But Kai was always a momma's boy and definitely Julie's favorite child out of the bunch, you'll never catch him admitting anything negative about her. He'll say that she did her best despite the situation. Kai just wishes he could've stopped her from aiming the gun at her mouth that night. Losing her like that broke something in him that never did recover.
Jon Stark ( @perzysprumia ) - His childhood best friend. Honestly these two are the trope of they're a similar character with one of them getting corrupted over time. Jon is someone he was always able to turn to and entrust the true nature of his home life with. Though, it was fairly easy to do so when Jon actually lived with the Anderson family at one point. Kai has always had a difficult grasp on romantic love, wasn't sure if he ever felt it a day in his life. Until Jon returned, until he devoted himself to him and the cult despite not agreeing with the murder aspect of Kai's movement, despite Kai not being the man he once knew. Kai is undoubtedly in love with him, but it doesn't mean its healthy for either of them.
two things your character regrets.
i. Killing Winter and Vincent. More-so Winter than Vincent since he discovered she didn't actually betray him so he basically killed her for nothing. As much as he believes it was necessary with his older brother, looking back after he's gone, he really wishes he had him around to give advice. ii. Not killing Ally. He knows it was a mistake to trust her, but his own curiosity to push on people's fragile mental states and manipulate mixed with his paranoia and delusions at the time really just made him cling on to the idea that maybe just maybe Ally was a good person to have on his side. That Ozzy may in fact be his son despite him knowing he wasn't. And despite him literally encouraging her wife to torment and leave her smh.
three phobia's your character has.
i. Failure, more specifically not leaving behind or doing anything to be remembered for. ii. Open / deep water or drowning, this is something that makes him uncomfortable more than fearful, but it isn't really a factor in most cases. iii. Being betrayed by those closest to him. He has major trust issues.

thoughts on "lift us where suffering cannot reach"
Tumblr media
i've seen a couple different reviews of this episode, some positive, some not. i'll tell you my opinion right off the bat: superb.
i want to talk about some of the common criticism that i've seen regarding the episode and my thoughts on those points.
continuity issues with the prime directive
Tumblr media
so i've seen this a couple times now. some people are saying that pike should have saved the first servant bc a life is more important than the prime directive. (think the beginning of star trek: into darkness. i bet the trek fans upset with this episode would HATE the comparison lmao.) bending/breaking the rules for the sake of a moral cause is kind of star trek's bread and butter. it happens. it happens all the time, actually. crews find ways to circumvent the prime directive in order to achieve their own (selfless, usually!) goals. in the tng episode "pen pals", data goes AGAINST the prime directive to save an alien child from a planet that's about to be destroyed.
so, let's recap. spoilers ahead.
a shuttle under attack hails the enterprise and asks for help. enterprise attempts to deescalate the situation, but the attackers fire on the enterprise, and the enterprise is forced to fire on their ship, destroying the attackers. the first servant is transported to the enterprise for medical care. the enterprise holds an investigation of the attackers. during this time, the first servant is almost kidnapped, but spock finds him and they return the first servant to majalis, where he undergoes the ascension. pike realises that the ascension is basically torture for the good of society and attempts to stop it, but he is overpowered. pike is told that attempts to remove the first servant from the device will kill the first servant. pike stares moodily out of the window, and the episode ends.
(this leaves out ALL of the poetry, but you get it.)
i get why this episode rubs people the wrong way. it doesn't feel very heroic. in many ways, pike has caused the suffering of this child by interfering with the kidnapper's attempts. but how is he supposed to know that? no one told him! the story would be VASTLY different if the kidnappers had come to pike and told him, or if the investigation revealed more information, but it didn't. pike is doing his best to keep this child safe! how the hell would he know that the first servant is destined to be a human battery?
in essence, it seems like people are mad that pike is... *checks notes* doing his job? i don't know.
the whole point of this episode is that sometimes succeeding can lead to a larger failure. in this case, a moral and ethical one. it's very much a "we did it. but at what cost?" moment.
2. cynicism and unhappy endings
Tumblr media
this one i understand. i get it. so far, snw has been pretty feel-good. "spock amok" was a delight, and this episode is a hard left from that. but it's not unheard of for star trek to have bummers. ds9 is full of uncomfortable truths and allegorical storytelling that doesn't always work out for everyone.
for example, the episode "cardassians" revolves around determining who will gain custody of rugal, a cardassian child born on occupied bajor and raised by bajorans. it's not a hijinks-bodyswapping story. sisko is confronted with the option to a) send rugal back to bajor with his adoptive parents who love him but hate cardassians, therefore teaching rugal to hate himself or b) send him to live with his biological father (who is a war criminal, right?) on cardassia with cardassians, who ruagl has learned to hate. it's a great story, but not a fun one. and honestly? i don't think sisko makes the right choice by the end of it. i don't think there's a right choice for him to make.
also, remember when spock died in the end of wrath of khan? yeah, that was a very similar situation. the suffering of one, given for the lives of many.
i don't want to tell people to suck it up and get over it, because that's neither helpful nor kind, but if you're telling stories about the world now and what it could/should/can be, there can't just be laughs. there needs to be introspection and cautionary tales and emotions of all kinds.
also, this story is inspired by "the ones who walk away from omelas" which is NOT a happy story.
3. pike's romance subplot and saviour complex
Tumblr media
i honestly don't get the problem with this. i thought that pike and alora's relationship was handled really gracefully.
the major issue, i guess, is that the pike/alora romance somehow cheapens the epsiode? but even that i don't understand. giving pike a personal connection to alora prompts him to help as much as he does, leading to the first servant's willing ascension and unwitting suffering.
and there's a tragedy in that. pike's desire to help makes things worse. because pike lacks cultural context and understanding, he fails to address the institutionalised violence and horror inflicted on the first servant. that's a very poignant lesson, and an important one, especially when looking at the world around us.
also, it's a tragedy, and i LOVE a good tragedy.

The New Family Part 1/?
A/N: this will be a story of many parts, this is just the beginning, with as many different monsters as I can think of I have a list in mind but if you want to see one in particular give me a comment or ask, and I'll see what I can do. I promise it will get kinkier than this. Just stay with me.
Orson knew that he was the black sheep of the village. As a child, he never got invited to play with the other children or learn with the other children. And now as an adult, he felt much the same. Isolated and lonely. Whilst everyone else his age was getting married to one another and creating the next generation of villagers, Orson was still alone. He had been bullied mercilessly throughout his entire life.
Walk into the woods and never return. Go live with the other monsters. We don't want you. We never liked you. Even at the age of twenty-five, this continued.
One day, as a storm blew in and the villagers blamed him for ruining this year's crop harvest, Orson had had enough. He grabbed his traveller's cloak and headed out into the storm. Into the woods behind his house, which he had inherited from his parents when they had passed a few years prior. He did try to keep to the path, but the lashing rain and the thick bushes made it impossible. He stumbled this way and that brambles scratching at his legs as he made his way deeper into the woods. Until finally he fell into a clearing. A huge rock, twice his size, stood perfectly in the middle, and he leaned against it as he checked his legs.
The weather took a turn for the worst and lightning struck a tree far too close for Orson's liking. He noticed a gap in the rock side just big enough for him to squeeze his slim body through. He slithered further and further in until he reached the hollow inside of the rock. As he pulled himself through his foot slipped on the loose floor and he fell, sliding down the floor that he hadn't released had dropped away from him. He tried digging his fingers into the loose dirt trying to stop himself from falling. But it was no use.
He finally landed on solid ground, confused about how the rock was so big on the inside. But that wasn't his primary concern. It was light inside, and cavernous. Torches flickering light off the walls making odd shadows on the rough walls. Odd shadows in the shape of humanoids. He looked closer and saw dozens of humanoid creatures looking back at him. And they all looked disturbingly hungry.
"I- I'm sorry, look I- I didn't mean to disturb you. I got lost in the storm and fell down here. I'll leave you alone. Just- please don't eat me." Orson begged.
"Eat you? Ha!" One monster to his right called. He had curling horns sprouting from his forehead and dark red wings, the shade of lust and passion sprouting from his back. "No, no Orson we won't eat you. We won't even kill you. But we won't let you go either. You come into our domain so we will use you until we see fit to release you."
"A prisoner?" Orson asked, as he slowly got to his feet, rubbing his elbow where he had scuffed it as he landed.
"Of sorts. You will have the freedom to move anywhere within our domain. Just not leave." The creature replied.
"But you will have to work for your release." Another creature added. He looked more humanoid than the winged being but had glowing red eyes and teeth as sharp as razors. "We have grown lonely down here just as you had grown lonely up there. We need you to help us create... new company."
"Create company?" Orson asked terror started to seep back into his voice. "W- what are you going to do to me?"
"Nothing you haven't dreamt of." The winged being replied. "We will even be kind enough to allow you to choose who you wish to... get to know first."
Orson looked around the room, he was encircled by different monsters. Some are almost human, the others are most definitely not. But if they were going to do to him what he was imagining, he wanted to choose one that he could at least begin to name. His eyes landed on the red-eyed creature that had spoken before. The sharp fangs and pale skin made it obvious what type of monster he was.
"You're a vampire. I choose you." Orson said, sounding much more confident than he felt.
"Are you sure you want me as your first? It will be much different than any of the others." The vampire asked as he stepped forward, into Orson's space.
He did allow Orson to reply before he grabbed the human by the shoulder and led him into a room to the side. Orson hadn't noticed it as he fell but presumed it would make sense to have a large cavernous city below ground for them all to live in. The vampire led him down corridors and along thin rock walkways with steep, deep drops below before pulling him into a house-type structure built into the rock side. Before he could think to get undressed he was pushed onto a plush mattress, his head landing on a soft pillow. If nothing else at least the bed was comfortable.
"W- wait, can I know your name? Before we do this?" Orson asked as he looked up at the vampire starting to get undressed.
"That's what you want to ask? Not how this is going to change you? Not confirming your deepest desire? But my name?" The vampire asked as Orson nodded. "Very well, my name is Alarik."
Alarik moved at lightning speed as he undressed Orson and laid him bare on the bed. He fucked into Orson's tight asshole, over and over, cum over and over, until Orson had lost count of how many loads he had taken. And how many times his own cum splattered his belly. Finally, eventually, after what seemed like days, Alarik stopped. He pulled out of Orson and started to clean them both up.
When Orson's mind had cleared enough to speak he slowly started to sit up. "What's going to happen to me?" He asked the vampire who was now getting dressed.
"You're going to have my babies. With how many times I came, I would say definitely triplets. But that's a conservative answer. But you already knew that didn't you. That's what you were wanting."
Orson nodded and sighed. Triplets. That would be a good first number, not too big, but big enough to be noticeable.
"The pregnancy itself will be much more though. Each night your stomach will expand. For the first week at least. Until you are the size that you will be at full term. However, as we are a long-living species, so your pregnancy shall be as well. Maybe a year, maybe two years until you go into labour. It depends on how well your body takes to being pregnant."
"T- two years?" Orson asked, "But... what about the other creatures?"
Alarik laughed and sat on the edge of the bed, answering all of Orson's questions. "I must bid you farewell Orson, I will come to check up on you each morning. But for now, welcome to your forever home."
Alarik placed a gentle peck on Orson's cheek as he stood and made his way out of the bedroom. Suddenly feeling exhausted and sleepy, Orson snuggled under the covers and fell asleep dreaming of all the monster cock about to fill his greedy hole, and the sizes and shapes he would become.

17, 21, 32 for the weird writing questions? :3c
Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
Oh boy - I have so many WIPs! I'll talk about the Sabina Lives/Parents Live AU I'm working on, because I love Sabina dearly. She was already dead as I was developing her as a character (having killed her off in a throwaway sentence in an earlier work), but I love her so much that I had to resurrect her in an AU.
In this work more than others she's appeared in, we see that in a lot of ways Sabina is who Adrien didn't allow himself to be. Adrien doesn't have a temper and is gentle, preferring to avoid violence. Because Adrien protected her from their abusive parents, Sabina was able to show her frustration and lose her temper from time to time.
Sabina saw how Adrien protected her, and there's this survivor's guilt overlap between her and Aurelia, because in this AU, Adrien sacrifices himself after their parents send an assassin to kill Aurelia, and when Sabina was a child, Adrien took the physical punishments meant for Sabina. So, Sabina is in this very specific space where she can really understand what Aurelia is going through because she lived it too.
We also see Sabina taking action outside of the law, whereas in the parents AU I'm in the process of posting, Tullia plays a little bit more nicely with the law (not much more, TBH and she yells at a lot of people). Tullia agrees to do things the "right" way instead of going vigilante because it's what Adrien would want. Sabina? She's seen so much shit and saw her brother get beaten by their parents and she's fucking done, so as soon as her and Tullia figure out that Erasmus and Laela are responsible, Sabina leaves to kill them. She won't give them the chance to rot in prison or fight for their freedom. They tried to kill her niece and nearly killed her brother, and she is done being the protectee, so she steps into the role of protector in the most extreme way possible.
Just from a narrative perspective, I've frequently written Adrien's protectors as women, and most of his closest personal relationships are with women, and that's always been intentional. As I was developing him as a character, I just loved the idea of this badass general who speaks his mind, who has an equally outspoken wife in his corner, who knows that he needs protecting, even if nobody else sees it. That trait comes to extend to his other close friends/family, who see all the ways he needs protecting, and shield him from them.
Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not?
I didn't write for years after finishing school! I wrote one short story post-university (and I don't think it was particularly good) before the pandemic had me searching out a distraction from my constant doom-scrolling. I might slow down or shift focus to original works, but I don't think I can stop telling stories now that I've started to do so again.
What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you?
"We accept the love we think we deserve" - The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Stephen Chbosky
I read that book at a time where that wisdom was needed and meaningful to me. I wish I could say I immediately saw myself as worthy of a more kind romantic love than what I had at the time, but in time I was able to see that I deserved more than I was accepting.
I come back to this line frequently when I write my characters. For a long time, Shepard doesn't accept love because she's afraid of loss, but also because she thinks she's cursed on account of her first name (Lorelei) and that those she allows to get close to her are doomed. It's not until her second mission with Garrus that she comes to see that she deserves more love than she's let herself accept.

Redemption (Part 1 of I literally don't know if I'll make a part 2) They're sending prisoners into the sea. One of those incarcerated pioneers is me. The scientists who went under before us got to talk to their families. We don't get that. Currently, I'm aboard the submarine with a mob boss, a scam artist, and a cult leader. I couldn't even see my dad. I wish I could, he gives the best hugs. "What are we supposed to do?" I ask the prison guard as he gets ready to shut the hatch. He might be my last contact with the outside world. Looking into his warm, blue eyes, I sense pity from him. It unnerved me, I never got pity. I'm on death row after all. He was a young lad, in his early 20s, like me. He must be new to the game and still naively unaware of the monstrosities my naval crew has committed. He lets out a sigh and points to a stack of papers and unfilled journals. "The submarine is going to be directed by our team from the surface. Once you hit the blood vessel, you'll be let go and we won't have contact with you for a long while. Track whatever creatures encounter you and potential resources we can extract. Then, come back to the surface."
How long will this be?" I try to ask better questions to extend the conversation, to stall my ultimate demise. "Not sure." He told me, trying to play the message off as a whole sentence. "Not sure how long you'll have to be down there." is the intended message. I knew from the way he swallowed a lump in his throat that he stopped himself from speaking. "Not sure if you'll live." is what he wanted to say. That's okay, I thought. You don't have to hold back. "Can I close this now? My superior will get mad at me for stalling." He asked politely. "I wish you the best of luck. Uhm, I'm sorry you were chosen. You're surprisingly sweet for a death row prisoner." I think he has a crush on me. It's silly to suspect such a thing since I'm currently being sealed in an ultimate prison to explore the bottom of the ocean. This young lad probably wouldn't have given me the light of day if I wasn't a young, attractive, and unassuming girl. He knew well to keep the conversation brief. Even though I'm pretty, there was no doubt the words "DEATH ROW INMATE" on the back of my prison jumpsuit spelled danger. If he had met me in my hayday, I would ruin his life with snap of my finger. "Yea, seal it, please. Good-bye." He only nodded and shut the hatch, leaving me in the artificial white light of the submarine. I looked over to my side to see the rest of my crew staring at me. They didn't just look like a bunch of hyenas, I had a feeling they were going to tear me apart like ones. "There's no gain you'll earn for killing me. This is our end. So we might as well do the job these losers assigned us to keep us entertained." I spoke curtly.
The cult leader smiled courteously. He had a hunchback with a winding beard and luscious, brown hair. Prisoners come in cleanly shaved and don't get follow-up haircuts for years on end. His long hair meant history. "Yes, gentlemen, there's no use in ruining a perfect mind such as this lady. Miss, there's a stack of cards to your left. If you could be so kind as to give them for me so we can all play poker. You know poker, right? It'll be a nice way to get to know each other." I could feel the hair on the back of my neck spike straight. His niceness horrified me. I would be more at ease if he was gruff and predictable. I really am stuck with a bunch of monsters. "Sure." My eyes don't leave the cultist as I pass him the stack of cards. He thanks me enthusiastically, placing the cards down on the table, and clasps his hands together to bow lightly.
"God bless you, child." He smiles. The fluorescent lighting makes the bumps and grooves of his face uncanny and unsettling. I nod and glance innocently at the cup of sharpened pens and pencils. Then, I return my gaze to the crew, who were beginning to play poker. If this is the game we're playing, I'm going to win.

I have made, a decision
Gonna have a bit of a Victor/Frankenstein parallel between Carlisle and this kid
Let's call him Adam for the vibes
So Adam will be Carlisle's first son who doesn't keep well with the Animal diet - because of this they both have had quite a lot of arguments because Adam doesn't necessarily like Carlisle because he just seems too good to be true -
And poor Esme she just - idk
Anyways, shit hits the fan when Adam causes Edward to relapse on more occasions than once. Like, yeah, the first few times Adam acted the part of the devil and guilted Edward into snapping and killing a bunch of people - and Edward justified it as the people he killed were bad. But Adam was like, oh god, not a Carlisle two point o.
So he just tells him that no, he killed a couple of people and yeah they were bad people but he enjoyed it, didn't it - the murder, the blood, the hunt.
So anyways Edward's an ass and basically tells Carlisl he thinks that Adam's gifted like him but a little worse - that he's making him turn to blood over and over again and it's a sort of game for him. (Which, I mean, for Adam, it kind of is. Especially since he's pissed off at Carlisle for turning him. Anyways -)
Carlisle is like okay we need to look after Adam some more now - but Adam heard a bit of their conversation and honestly did not think Carlisle was going to take his side so he only tells Esme a few hurtful maybe words idk like "enjoying your perfect little son now, aren't you?" Before he just yeets and goes off somewhere idk
But yeah so Adam is still alive and thriving - not really he's depressed because he was in love with a woman once in his human life but because he died, she ended up getting married to another guy who was a dick so Adam kills him and she, seeing Adam all red-eyed and bloody only whispers "monster" or heathen or daemon before she faints and Adam's feelings are hurt and he's annoyed at his lack of ability of crying so
I'm not sure if he should steal his ex-lover's younger sister who she and her husband were looking after / had as their ward
But idk if that's too unhinged for Adam especially since this child will NOT stop crying and trying to bite him which results in her losing a tooth (which honestly earns Adam's respect because wow kid you got guts)
So he returns the child to the ex-lover once she's recovered and he made a bit of a deal between himself and the little sister - to go along with his words, and he'll ensure no man harms her sister ever again. Maybe she should have a younger brother??? And instead of the sister being a girl she'll actually be a brother and be a boy.
Yeah
So anyways Adam holds up his end of the bargain (the kid just said "okay" but he was thinking "I'll consider it" and once the kid grows and notices that his sister isn't being hunted for her wealth or whatever and all the men who wish to take her wealth or maybe even burn her at the stake because they think she's a witch ends up dead then he's like holy hell the devil's actually protecting us?)
So as the kid grows he becomes somewhat friends with Adam. And Adam is just like I re.ember when you were a boy before obviously the kid ends up growing to be Adam's age and they become friends like actual friends -
And yeah when the kid dies (of old age) he asks Adam for one last favour - to like, watch over his kid or idk. Either he asks Adam for that favour or Adam does it because he misses his friend but sees parts of him in his friend's children.
So yeah fast forward and I think Renee will be the descendant of the kid - I wanted it to be Charlie but yeah no that isn't happening an oc will be the descendant of the kid - originally wanted it to be Charlie then Renee but yeah no this girl ism gonna be related to Bella because if she is then a shit ton of stuff will change and I kind of like my pre-planned imaginations of Adam's relationship with the Cullens and the Swans so yeah
But anyways Adam ends up befriending the eldest Swan girl (who is Bella's HALF sister) and it's really funny because she figures out he's a little weird but she doesn't say anything and he doesn't say anything they just end up being good buds
And then oc tells Adam she's actually gonna die like in a year and he's like "it's fucking cancer isn't it" and she's like "...something like that, yeah" because rn the only thing that's keeping Adam safe from the Volturi is the fact that oc didn't actually know that Adam was a vampire she just sort of okay yeah she knew tehre was something up with him but she just thought he was a little weird but friendly so
Anyway she's like I'm not gonna get him involved I'm just gonna live life normally bec if she tells him about vampires then the volturi will kill him too
But yeah anyways the funny thing that happens is - when Bella gets pregnant and has Renesmee, then Carlisle so desperately calls Adam - and Adam is like this is fun because Edward screwed over a mortal aren't you pleased Carlisle?
And yeah at the whole encounter thing with the Volturi, they ask where Bella's sister is. And when Adam sees that oh they want to kill her he's just like ??? "Why are you concerning yourselves over a mortal??? Like??? Nuh-uh she's MY mortal to worry MYSELVES about"
But yeah shit happens when he realises that okay so his human knows about vampires and that's what she meant when she had one year to die like - Demetri already sprinted off to track her all the while Adam is getting a bit of a panic attack because oh no his human (he treats her like a pet like)
Anyways,
He ends up tearing Edward's wrist off and goes "be thankful that it was not your head. Or your child's." And like yeah while Bella and oc are related - well, Adam isn't related to Bella so he doesn't give a fuck about her.
Anywho
Adam gets a heart attack because he can't find oc - which means oc got taken
And so he's in mourning a bit because there aren't any other descendants and now the link to his once lover and then his ex-lover's brother who was his best friend and essentially watched grow up -
Yeah,
It's gone. The link is gone.
So he decides to take Edward's link to humanity away (which just so happens to be Bella and Edward)
Yeah so there's a huge ass scuffle, Alice saves the day but Adam doesn't really give a fuck about her -
Until of course, Adam decides that he's gonna go see the Volturi
And he goes and poor Oc is already turned but she's in transition -
Well, I didn't actually think this far ahead. All I wanted was for Adam and Oc to meet again one day and for him to just greet her with , "Well hello there, Eve." I'm crying because his little human is no longer a human

genshin boys in a zombie apocalypse
premise: you're a half-dead college student (figurative) hoping to find comfort from caffeine intake in preparation for a brutal final exam, which led you to visit your local cafe down the block... only to be mounted by a half-dead employee (literal) seconds away from biting your arm off before a kind stranger bashes his head in. “are you okay? we came to save you!” he offers his hand, smiling invitingly.
unfortunately it doesn't appear to be romantic when the rest of his friends are raising havoc behind him, spilling zombie guts across the floor.
includes: diluc, kaeya, childe, zhongli, venti, xiao, albedo, kazuha & scaramouche ! + extra appearances
Tumblr media
diluc:
the one who makes sure nobody actually dies. well he'd probably push kaeya into a horde of zombies if he finds an opportunity though.
initially opposed to you joining their small group. gathering supplies is hard as is, and caring for a new member doesn't seem very logical. “plus we don't know if they're infected or not,” he reasons, scanning you up and down with an analytical stare. “they could be hiding a bite mark.” “do you want me to strip?” “wh- no! don't take off your shirt, idiot-”
after assuring that no, you don't need to strip, he begrudgingly allows you to stay in their hideout. given that you can contribute to their survival, of course.
despite his dislike of you at first, he does grow fond of you, giving headpats whenever you're down or smiling at you now and then.
“here. i found a sweater from a nearby clothing store. i thought it was my size but it wasn't so you can have it.”
sure, diluc. as if he didn't hear you complaining about the cold weather last night.
kaeya:
he's apparently diluc's brother and you're so surprised because they're nothing alike. he's friendly on the surface, all smiles and nothing but amicable, yet there's something... unsettling about him.
his cold gaze on you feels pressuring, as if he's testing your worth every time you go out from your camp to gather supplies, and he's deciding whether or not to discard you if he found you useless. you're even wondering if he'll lift a finger to help you if you were ever in trouble.
however, you find the answer to that question is a “yes” — when zombies run after your group and one of them managed to grab your arm, kaeya immediately stops in his tracks and returns to the spot where you got left behind to help, risking himself to get bitten when he could've very well let you off to die on your own.
when you return to your camp, he's worried and frantic, composure entirely forgotten as his voice raises in volume while he reprimands you for being so careless.
but it's not hostile; it's the first time that you realize that huh, he really does care about you.
“what were you thinking?! you should be more careful! if you were gone, i... i would... nevermind. let's talk about this later. you sprained your ankle, didn't you? that's why you ran so slow. come on, i'll treat your injury.”
childe:
when you first looked at him, you thought he was oddly familiar. not in the way you recognized a student from your school, more like a face you've seen around... kind of like someone you saw on tv...
wait a minute.
he's that famous vlogger, isn't he?? that one crazy rich guy living in a huge mansion with his family and everyone in your class obsessed over?? his videos range from cooking sessions to pranks on his friends, and even the occasional reckless parkour video...
hence his title as a troublemaker in your group; he makes spontaneous decisions and has no self-preservation.
you know he's good at combat, but he's a little too enthusiastic about killing zombies. you swear you've heard him laughing maniacally while snapping someone's neck. (you wonder what his fans would think to see this psychotic side of his.)
he often gets scolded for the trouble he causes, but he's genuinely a good guy. he doesn't possess the arrogance you'd expect a celebrity to have, he just acts like an overly familiar friend you have no choice but to accept.
if he feels sad, he doesn't show it, the stupid grin perpetually stuck on his face. he's the most eager in the reconnaissance group to check out other areas since he's always trying to find his family members. (you hope he meets them soon...)
tells you his memories of his loved ones when you wake up from a nightmare late at night and can't fall back asleep so he calms you down by talking a lot. his voice is normally loud in the day, chipper and maybe annoying when he teases you, but he speaks in a softer tone as he urges you to sleep.
“sweet dreams, [name].”
the most likely to die for you — he can be foolishly impulsive, as how diluc would put it, but childe doesn't think it's stupid. he doesn't need to think twice about whether or not he needs to save you. he just wouldn't hesitate to get you out of danger. no matter what the cost...
zhongli:
decked out in full suit and tie upon your first meeting. he'd been working in his office when the zombie outbreak occurred, and started tagging along with diluc and the others ever since he bumped into them.
somehow knows the best places to take shelter in and grab supplies, saying other people had most likely already raided the supermarkets and convenience stores + he makes tactical plans to defend yourselves from zombies. thus, he naturally became the authorizing figure of your little group, giving out orders and splitting work between each person. a position he abuses by assigning you to do the same work he does so you'll spend more time together.
“do you mind it? i feel calm when you are with me, so i prefer things this way.”
capable of looking good even without showering for days straight and covered with blood. discarded his stiff blazer and rolled up his sleeves for practicality, unknowingly seducing you with his toned arms.
he allows you to braid his hair when you ask him for permission to pass the time.
venti:
the chatterbox everyone's grateful for. whenever it's too quiet, you begin to worry about what happened to all your family and friends, but he fills the space in your head with useless gossip instead. (actually, maybe you don't feel all that grateful.)
apparently old friends with zhongli; zhongli keeps an eye on him so he wouldn't dare drink a single can of beer, since a zombie apocalypse probably isn't the best time to be drunk at.
appears harmless (and a deadweight with nothing to contribute to the group since he's a lazy little shit) but is actually frighteningly good with a gun. once killed five zombies in a row with perfect aiming to the center of their foreheads. since then, nobody complained about him anymore.
also the person who saved you on impulse — everyone else was too wary to save other people, yet he forced them to come along when you were in a serious bind in the cafe.
“why did i save you, you ask? no special reason! you had a cute face, so why not? haha! i'm not teasing you, it's s compliment.”
xiao:
unkillable. zombies fear him. bow down to the true undead.
xiao attended the same university as you, and he's pretty famous for being good-looking... and also for the crazy rumors surrounding him. people say he was a nasty delinquent at high school, or he's part of the mafia, or something even more ridiculous than that. you never believed them, since xiao was like any other diligent student apart from being quieter than most... or more handsome than most.
that is, until you see him swinging around his metal bat and sending zombies flying into the air. perhaps there was some truth to those rumors after all. oh, he took off his jacket- is that a fucking tattoo on his arm??? so cool!!
at first, you thought he hated you. you guessed he was against you joining their group like diluc, and he'd been treating you coldly because of that. but you soon come to find he's just a really awkward guy, and he's been avoiding you 'cause he thought he scared you for being so violent; you'd probably appreciate it if he didn't approach you. he's a softie at heart, so make sure to reassure him you don't hate him, or he'll be sad!
very attentive towards you. notices when you're feeling tired from walking, or when you feel a little hungry and need a small break to take a quick nap. the kind of person who'd wait for you to catch up when you tie your shoelaces.
“i'll carry you on my back. i'm pretty strong, so don't worry about me. you must be exhausted from walking too much.”
albedo:
a scientist from the research laboratory that started all the chaos. quite an amazing individual: he came from the source of the virus, but was able to escape from a building filled to the brim with zombies without as much as a scratch. not to mention he survived alone for a long time before he met your group, growing his own vegetables and fruits in the garden. horrified when he learns you've been living off on junk food.
“you can't always rely on instant noodles for sustenance...”
he believes he can make a cure, and there's a couple of solutions he came up with, but has no materials to make them since the lab had been festering with zombies and he had no time to take anything else with him. he knows of several other places that might have the items he needed, yet he hasn't had much luck for the first few locations he visited.
he acts as the team's medic, and is generally seen as another authorizing figure alongside zhongli. appears to be cold-hearted but you can see how displeased he is whenever one of you is injured upon returning to camp. (he doesn't want to grow attached. if there's anything stupid sci-fi movies taught him, it's that death is inevitable in a zombie apocalypse.)
yet he grows attached anyways. you see it in the way he always sends you off before you go on a supply raid, telling you to be more careful, or how he scolds you when you come back wounded. it shows in the way he does his best to cook, so everyone could have a nice dinner to return to. albedo cares. in fact, he cares too much when he shouldn't be.
albedo had a secret.
deep into the night, when everybody else is tucked into their small tents, he cautiously examines his surroundings before pulling down the collar of his shirt. a bite mark decorates his neck, the greenish tint beginning to spread across his pale skin. the scarred flesh is unpleasant to look at, throbbing painfully in random intervals throughout the day. he's not sure how long he can pretend it doesn't affect him.
he takes out a syringe and grits his teeth when he pierces himself with the needle. he has 4 shots left... and it's only a temporary measure to stop the virus from completely overtaking his body.
“no, not yet. i can't die yet. please, god, give me more time... i won't ask for more. just until i can find the cure and save everyone. that much is enough.”
kazuha:
back at university, you used to sit beside a really nice guy. he offered to lend his pens when you forgot yours, and allowed you to copy his notes whenever you asked. you greet each other in the hallways and chat occasionally, but you didn't think you were particularly close... though you did have a small crush on him.
so imagine your surprise when you're suddenly wrapped in a tight hug in one of your supply raids.
of course, your first assumption was that a zombie had caught you, but the giggle you hear right beside your ear is obviously humane and far from the feral growling zombies made.
“did you miss me?”
your scream didn't go unheard though, so the others came to where you were in a hurry. though they were fully prepared to murder zombies, they weren't prepared to see a pretty boy holding you tightly towards his chest.
... and so, he was another addition to your team. similar to your case, he faced some opposition, but the final verdict was to accept him. begrudgingly. honestly, there wasn't any real reason to reject him; ever since albedo joined, food shortage wasn't an issue anymore, so why is everyone wary of him...
that aside, he stuck to your side like glue, insisting to be your protector. he's unexpectedly good at combat, wielding a sword — you don't know where he got it from — and he's surprisingly helpful when it came to predicting weather conditions, which certainly made it easier for the reconnaissance team. plus he has keen senses, able to detect when a zombie is nearby. volunteers to be on guard duty often.
despite his laidback disposition, he's quite protective over you. you've yet to know why. he can be kind of touchy, instinctively holding your hand when you walk into a seemingly dangerous area or just pulling you closer to him when he spots a zombie by the corner of his eye.
“don't let go of my hand and stay by my side. i know you can handle yourself, but i don't want to risk it.”
scaramouche:
you once thought diluc and xiao hated you, but it turns out it was just a misunderstanding on your part. but this guy... this guy definitely despises you.
in the first place, your first meeting wasn't the most conventional way to meet. you've been walking around a new area as a reconnaissance member when this eggplant brat suddenly jumps over a fence and lands a clean kick to your face, not watching where he's going. to top it all off, he doesn't apologize, saying it was your fault for being in the way. you couldn't believe it when zhongli allowed him to stay at your camp.
just a really annoying asshole. he's prickly towards the other guys, but is even more of a dick when it comes to you. (and even more of a jerk towards childe, but that much is justified because you learn they're from the same university and in a weird frenemies relationship.) okay, so maybe you've been making fun of his height, or clowning his haircut... or called him weird nicknames to annoy him... but he started it!
you feel like a kid all over again when you're with him. there isn't a single conversation between you that doesn't end in a childish argument. albedo sighs in a way a disappointed parent would, but you can't bring yourself to be mature when he's around.
well... he can be decent... in a bare minimum sense... like that time he took care of you when you were sick and albedo wasn't around... or that time he threw a jacket on your face because you felt cold but he didn't want you to think he was being nice so he did it aggressively...
not that you got along well. you weren't friends or anything, definitely not.
so it comes off as a shock when he saves you in a life-threatening situation, swinging around a steel pipe to pave a way through the crowd of zombies surrounding you. his eyes are cold, lacking of any sympathy towards the creatures that were once human and treated them as mere pests. to him, they were just hindrances in the way getting to you.
“who said i'll let you die? i won't let you go until you admit defeat to me, so hurry up and hide before you get killed.”
bonus: the drama-free adventure of the bois
in your travels, you happen to come across a group of young boys wandering in the ruins of what used to be a bustling city. which is quite odd — most children are... well... turned, since they aren't the best at self-defense. but these guys don't seem to be afraid of zombies at all, casually strolling into a grocery store to grab a pack of gummy bears.
or more like... they're not being approached by zombies?
you later find out their names; you only saw a pair of blue haired boys at first, but two other guys were waiting for them at their little base camp.
chongyun had an astonishing ability to repel zombies. he explained that zombies tended to actively avoid him for reasons he didn't know, and albedo is yet to understand what makes this possible. (he begs zhongli to let these kids join you lmao.)
xingqiu refers to chongyun as a “zombie repellent,” and although true, isn't a very flattering title. he's a bright and resourceful kid, the reason why they haven't died yet; zombies may not chase after them, but they could still die of starvation or illness. he marks down locations on his map that he deems safe enough for them to enter, and he always tries to find a way out the city, thinking there was a possibility the outside is devoid of monsters. (that's if the government hasn't locked you in yet, preventing further infection.)
in contrast to chongyun, bennett is a magnet for zombies. bad luck seems to follow him wherever he goes, and he's barely able to survive thanks to razor's help.
razor is bennett's best friend, the main combat force of them four. he's abnormally strong for a high schooler, but bennett can assure that he's not a delinquent. loyal to his friends and vows to protect them until the end.
together, they're also searching for their other acquaintaces: for chongyun and xingqiu, xiangling and hu tao; for bennett and razor, a girl named klee... who is also albedo's little sister.
“at this point, we're just adopting kids,” diluc mutters under his breath.
venti laughs, “it's fun though, isn't it?”
“all it means is more mouths to feed.”
(diluc ends up to be the most doting to them.)

Total Drama Villains x Reader || Drabble Set
Tumblr media
Plot: You forget to take a towel to the shower and only realise after the shower, so you open the window to stick your head out and ask whoever's out there (Hoping someone is out there) to grab you one but to your chagrin- there's just a villain.
Includes: Chris, Heather, Mal and Scott.
Warnings: Mmmm, I dont think so. Swearing? A kiss?
~~~
All:
You slowly look around the room, very very aware of the fact that you're naked and cold in a room that does not have a great lock on it. "Ohhhhhh no." The words come out low and steady... but are just brimming with panic.
No. Towel.
No towel!!
Finally you gasp, covering the bottom half of your face with your hands and looking at the benches and the sinks in dread. You accidentally came in here without a towel!!
The sudden sound of footsteps out the back of the cabin rips a gasp from your throat and you lunge at the window, unlatching the lock and opening it to see who it is. Before you even stick your head out, you're calling for whoever it to stop. Please. Hold on! I need your help!
Chris McLean:
Tumblr media
*You are an adult camper.
When you actually see who's standing out there, you groan. Chris McLean stands outside on the grass, hands in his pockets and an intrigued look in his eyes. He know's he's about to be amused, or he's going to amuse himself depending on what kind of trouble you're in- or what kind of help you apparently need.
"What's up?~"
"Nevermind."
"Oh no no no! Come on, you can confide in Uncle Chris, cant you?"
A whine tumbles out of you. Uncle Chris?? Grooooooooss. He see's and acknowledges your disgusted reaction to him calling himself that, but just giggles. He doesn't leave, to your utter annoyance.
What other choice do you have?? Rolling your eyes, you look down at your feet instead of meeting his beady eyes and wiggle your toes. And mutter suuuuper quietly, half hoping he doesn't hear you. "I forgot to bring a towel... and I really need one... " And, this part you say especially quietly. For seriously asking Chris fucking McLean for a hand would be akin to letting your dignity pack its bags and fly the coop. "... and would you please get one for me... "
"... Sorry, I didn't catch that. What didja say?"
Oh god. A little louder, you say shortly. "... I forgot a towel... "
Chris smirks at that, rolling back on the feels of his feet. "And? What would you like from me, Y/N?"
Finally too frustrated to keep playing this stupid game with the show's host, you snap your eyes up to his and cross your arms. "Fine! Damnit. Get me a towel, please."
Immediately, a cat like grin slowly spreads across Chris' face. Its the most evil thing you have ever seen.
"Now why would I do that when I could get Chef here to send in a buncha rabid bats with you and flush you out?" Christ teases - no, threatens. But then again, does he know the difference in the first place? - , that famous, alabaster white, terror instilling grin on his face as usual. "Now that's, good TV!"
You groan, head falling back on your neck, in frustration. "Chrr-ris!!"
"Ha ha! Well? What do you expect?" You cant argue with that, but you cans till groan again. "Okay, fine. I'll get you a towel! But what will you do for me, heh? Nothing comes for free."
"Oh, don't I know it. I've been on this show for 3 seasons now." For some reason.
"Heh heh."
"Fine, I'll... " Ugh, something for Chris... You blow air out of your cheeks slowly, in thought. What would Chris like? Well, he'd sure get kick out of you getting one of your friends hurt but that's sure as hell not happening. Finally, after a few moments, you get an idea. And scowl. "I'll be sure to drum up some drama for you. Good TV, right?"
"For sure! Promise?~"
Sighing, you lean tiredly on the window sill. "Oh, I cross my heart and hope to die." You promise him like he's a child, which he basically is. Chris McLean has got the maturity level and the intelligence package of a 7 year old on crack.
"Wicked! Heh heh, this'll be good. Okay, hang tight. I'll be back."
You smirk at his retreating back.
~
When he finally gets back and hands you a towel - a much nicer towel then what you and the other campers have been using. Which is nice? But also, you cant help but worry about what kind of strings might be attached to it, - through a crack in the door, you carefully wrap it around your body and tightly tuck it in.
"I'll want that towel back" He snaps, cranky. Why?? He could've just gone and gotten you your towel! "I imported that from Fiji!"
Of course he did.
Now you take a deeeeeeep breath, gathering all your courage, and killing the butterflies reeking havoc in your stomach. Then open the door again and grab hold of the front of Chris' signature teal shirt and wrench him close before he can walk too far off.
And you smash your lips together and slam your eyes tightly closed.
When you pull back from the kiss - a horrible, unpleasant, bad kiss, - you immediately wipe your mouth with your arm and let him go. But when you reveal your mouth again, you're for damn sure smirking at the stunned man. "Is that dramatic enough for you, Chris? A camper and the host? Scandalous- I bet we'll be front page news."
Then quickly you lock yourself inside the bathroom again, not really caring for his reaction- which only comes, finally, minutes later when you're half way dressed.
"DAMN IT Y/N!!"
Heather:
Tumblr media
"Hm." Heather crosses her arms, an evil smirk on her lips- opportunity has knocked on her door. Or, the inside of the shower cabin. "You need something from me. Well! What will you do for me return? Hm?"
As expected. "I will vote for whoever you want me to at 2 different instances of your choice going forward. Except for myself, I wont vote myself out."
She thinks for a moment, but definitely looks pleased. "Three, different instances of my choice."
Fucks sake- "Fine! Just- please! I'm getting cold and one of the boys could come in here at any time and see me butt ass naked!!"
Uncrossing her arms and setting her hands on her hips instead, Heather laughs. "Oh- one of these boys? Shower? Haha. Have you smelled them??"
You blush darkly at her joking with you; At your worry but not your expense, before shaking your head of silly feelings and usher the pretty girl Heather, forward. "Go! Go! Get my towel already."
"Be right back." She rolls her eyes, heading off.
~
When she gets back, she reaches up to the window with the towel and you gratefully take it, beginning to dry off any drips from your body and get dressed as quickly as possible. "Thank you Heather!!"
"Mhm, yeah. Sure."
A few minutes later when you leave the door, Heather's waiting for you on the porch and you basically have a small stroke- jesus christ, why is she there!? STILL!?
"Oh, relax. I'm just cashing in some of your part of the bargain." She sneers, walking closer to you and pressing a sharp fingernail into your chest. "Dont forget, you owe me now."
"I remember Heather, we did this like 10 minutes ago."
"Good." She smiles, a tint of evil to it still. Pleasantly surprised that you're being so obedient. She leans back. "Okay, so Gwen's got to go. You got that? She's out. Vote for her and you're third done with your debt to me."
"Yes ma'am." You smirk, brushing by her and stalking off back to your cabin to put away your things.
Heather watches, hands on her hips and her own smirk on her lips. You might just be useful out of this bunch of losers. Not quite a diamond in the rough, but... better, at least. For sure. "Hm."
Mal:
Tumblr media
"Oh- Mike!" You exclaim excitedly as soon as you see the lanky, dark haired boy. What luck!!
But then he slowly turns around; A dark, sinister grin on his face and hair over one eye. And your heart immediately drops.
This is not Mike. Neither is it Chester, Svetlana, Vito or Manitoba- any of which would have been just fine alternatives for this moment.
This has to be fucking Mal. You've met him before, and absolutely nevermind on the luck front.
"Nope." Yep- the grizzly, deep voice that responds to you can belong to no one other then Mike's chaotic evil alter. Shit. Shit, shit, shit. You continue to chant curses in your head as he turns around fully and comes forward, looking up with evil glinting in his eyes at you like a twisted Flynn Rider to your Rapunzel.
The kind that makes you rather stay inside your tower- its safer here then out there with him. You don't go out to meet the rabid pit bull!!
"Ummm, nevermind! Go about your business, I'm fine here. See ya!"
"Oh no. What'd you want from little Mikey?" He asks, crossing his arms and tilting his head to the side, cruelly inquisitive. You chew on your bottom lip. Damn it; You've peaked his interest. Fuck.
"Um... " The sound comes out quiet and insure as you look down at the grass before his feet instead of his face. You're so nervous. "Well, I... I forgot my towel before I took my shower, and uh... I was just gonna ask him if he could go get me one."
For a moment, he's silent. Your gaze flickers up to his face to see an utterly wolfish look on his face, eyes gleaming with mischief before averting your eyes again to the grass.
Then a loud puff of hard, unpleasant laughter escapes him. He doubles over, holding his stomach as he guffaws at your embarrassing situation. You roll your eyes and cross your arms.
"Oh shut up," You snap, bravely- making him cut off his laughter immediately and look at you. You dare to fucking talk to him like that? "Come on, go get me a towel, please!! I'll owe you one."
After a moment, he stands up straight again and crosses his arms. Yes, he could do something horrible to you right now to teach you not to talk back to him; but it looks like you're going to struggle without his help. All he has to do is watch! "Hmm, nope!"
"Come on!"
"Not gonna happen."
"Ugh." You groan, leaving the window and Mal and plopping down on a bench. Fucking bastard.
This is so awkward. Especially since you know he's still out there!! And he could send someone in at any time.
... Minutes later, and you're still dripping wet but now freezing fricken cold, a towel is flung in through the still open window and lands on the wet floor near your feet. Your eyebrows fly up your forehead, as you look from it in surprise and to the window.
Mal's voice calls through it. "There! Its no fun if you just sit and bear your punishment." Huff. You can just imagine the cute boy - the look works for Mike, but is just very odd on Mal, - crossing his arms and setting his jaw, or even pouting. His voice just sound sooo frustrated. "I'll get you another time, anyway. Everyone will go down, eventually."
"Oh... mhm, oh sure." I mean, I can at least listen to his evil babble since he got me a towel, you think as you start drying yourself down and getting dressed.
A moment after you've got your shirt on, the door is kicked open and Mal stands on the threshold, making you jump. "Jesus christ!- "
"Kiss thank you?"
"Get outta here!" Absolutely not!
Scott:
Tumblr media
Peering out from the window, you nearly miss the boy leant up against the cabin beneath you, in fact you would have- if it weren't for his bright orange hair. You gasp, unintentionally getting his attention and smiling brightly when he looks up to find you. "Scott!"
A confused, yet somehow still evil expression paints his face. "Y/N?? What are you doing?"
"Well farm-boy, how do you feel about giving a lady a hand??"
Scott snorts, getting off the wall and stepping back to see you properly. "Lady? I don't see any lady here."
Oh- Bastard. You look back into the bathroom before disappearing from the window for a moment before returning, and promptly clobbering him with an empty shampoo bottle. "You see her now!?"
"Ugh... yeah." He grumbles more malleably now, much more open to suggestion as he rubs his forehead. "Sure, now I see her... ow."
Now you feel a little bad. He looks so pitiful when he's in pain... and yes he's a rat but... its still not okay to hurt someone. You aren't Chris. And also you're getting colder and colder as the water drips unimpeded down your skin and maybe its making you soft. "Ohh... okay, I'm sorry."
He glances up at you, surprised at your apology. "Ahh, no problem, I guess... " Did someone just apologise for whacking him on this show? He crosses his arms, raising a curious look to your disembodied head. "Uhh, what'd you need a hand, with?"
"I... kinda... forgot a towel... could you please go get one for me??"
For a moment you watch his eyes narrow and a wicked grin flicker at the corners of his mouth and get anxious that he's going to ask for something in return- before he rolls his eyes and just shrugs, turning and heading off to the cabin. "Yeah, sure, whatever. Be right back- try not to gather too much attention, haha."
As he walks off, you duck under the window again, sighing in so much relief. "Thanks, Scott!"
~
When he returns, you're waiting at the door and crack it open just enough to get the towel from him immediately- which you quickly wrap around yourself comfortably and sigh. "Thank you so much!"
"Hm. No problem." He huffs, wondering why the hell he did this for you anyway and crossing his arms again.
From inside, you carefully ask: "Are you gonna get weird if I hug you now?"
Immediately Scott's ears go bright red and he quickly loses every little bit of cool-guy vibe from a moment ago. "I-In your towel?? N-No!! I mean- yes!" He rubs the back of his neck, looking away from the door like its you, or he'll accidentally spontaneously develop x-ray vision and damnit, he's a gentleman. "I mean... " Or at least he tries to be.
Grinning, because Scott's unexpectedly cute now that you've flustered him, you quickly open the door, hug him quick, then close the door again and shout 'BYE'.
