Pregnant... She saw the two lines on the test and felt like she was going to faint. How the hell was she going to tell Eddie this?

He was going to freak out she thinks worriedly. They had been together for over a year and they were very much in love but this was big, the biggest thing they had ever gone through as a couple.

What if he didn't want the baby? What would his uncle Wayne think? Her parents? Uncle Hopper? Sobs overtake her and she tries to will the tears away but they won't go no matter what she does.

She needs to tell Eddie.

Eddie comes home looking shattered after a busy day at his job, he worked as a mechanic since he graduated and it paid really well and she was working at the library but she was still panicking and close to tears.

"Hey, beautiful" he pulls her into his arms and pauses as she is so tense. He rubs her shoulders and gazes at her concerned.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" her lip wobbles and she takes a breath then tells him.

"I'm pregnant" his smile drops from his face and his big brown eyes widen.

"What?" he wheezes out and panic flickers on his features and she swallows.

He runs his hands through his hair and they end up tugging on his curls and his fingers get stuck he swears removing them, his brown eyes flashing in anger.

"Shit! This is just fucking perfect isn't it!" he yells out and she swallows. Eddie rarely shouts at her and she feels a sinking feeling in her gut.

He was going to break up with her, she just knew it. There's no way he would want a baby and his reaction confirmed it.

It feels like her heart is being ripped in two and she can't breathe. She loves Eddie so much, so much and the thought of being without him was horrendous.

But this baby... She gently holds her barely there bump and feels a fierce surge of love and vowed to protect the baby.

Eddie stops mid-rant and when he sees her tears he drops to the floor.

"Princess, no please don't cry sweetheart. I'm so sorry", she wipes this tears away.

Tears slide down his cheek.

Everything was fine, better than fine, yn's family though worried at first especially her mother were fantastic during the pregnancy.

Hopper was overprotective of course he was it was his precious niece and Eddie actually thought he might kill him but he was eventually calmed down by El and Joyce.

His uncle supported them from day one and had built a new crib for the baby as a surprise near the end of the pregnancy.

Dustin and the rest of Hellfire were very excited about the prospect of a baby as were Nancy, Robin and Steve.

Max had designated herself and Dustin as the first babysitters which Steve and Robin argued and said it should be them.

El was curious and asked questions about the baby, yn being protective over her anyway as she was Hopper's niece grew closer with El because of it and the two of them were like sisters.

When Eva was born on a beautiful, sunny but cold October day and Eddie didn't know that he could love something so much, the fierce rush of love he felt for her almost overwhelmed him.

The only person he felt this kind of love for was yn and his uncle of course.

As he held little Eva in his arms her crying begins to die down and one of her tiny little hands latch onto his finger.

''Shit!" he mumbles as the tears fall down his cheeks and he cringes, fuck, he hopes his girl didn't hear that. He peers over at yn who is fast asleep, a smile on her face.

Now with his little princess here he had two princesses to spoil.

Eddie loved his girl so much and he fell in love with her even more while she was pregnant, he reassured her time and time again that she was the only woman for him when she had off days or was full of anxieties.

She truly was and he would tell her that a million times just so she would listen, she had always been his world, his dream.

Always.

Between all the family and kids they had plenty of willing babysitters for when they needed a little alone time and their jobs provided them with whatever they needed.

Sometimes it could be a little tight but they always managed and always had wonderful people surrounding them eager to help.

It wasn't always easy, nothing ever was but Eddie wouldn't have it any other way.

He was just cuddling up with yn after the most mindblowing lovemaking when he heard little Eva's cries on the baby monitor coming from the nursery.

Eva's cries quieten and she coos up at him, then begins babbling away in her baby talk amusing herself. Her big brown eyes melt his heart and he begins to read to her to soothe her to sleep.

She's just like her mama that way though instead of Lord of the rings or The Hobbit (that will happen when she's older) he read one of the baby books El picked for her, it was Winnie the Pooh.

As he begins to read about the hundred-acre wood putting on voices for each character, Eva is enraptured but slowly begins to fall asleep.

By the end of the book, she's out like a light but Eddie doesn't leave, he just holds her, overcome with the emotion that he has two princesses who he loved more than anything.

How did he get so lucky? he wonders and smiles at that thought as he gently rocks Eva in his arms.

He would always love and protect his little family.

(This took me a bit ngl, I couldn't concentrate but uhhh hehe I did it!)

So for I think for the first live, it wasn't working properly and he was like "is it thing on?" So he ended it after a little and then restarted it

He finally got it to work 🤩 anyways he said his cute little hellos and stuff welcoming us and then started talking about what he was doing. He was resting in the hotel after he had gotten some churros. (He fr got me craving some so I went to buy some of my own) anyways.....he said he ate a lot but couldn't finish them so jongho came and got the rest. (I want to be jongho so bad)

Atiny were asking him to show his face but he said he was bare faced and wasn't very comfortable with doing that yet. He said in a later live he would, but for this one he was just going to speak. (He has mentioned that he wasn't very confident in his bare face but bros literally so beautiful I tear up everytime I see him)

He talked about their concert in jeddah and how much fun he had being able to see atiny jump around and have fun. He said he was happy and enjoyed it a lot, he was able to end the concert happily and well.

I think someone had pointed out his lowkey stuffy nose but he said it wasn't a cold or anything, not to worry, his sinuses were just a little swollen. He tried curing it with ice but when he had asked for some, he didn't know that he had to pay. He said the bag of ice came with a receipt and he was so confused. He thought it was free but then sounded like an old man by saying "this generation...." 💀💀 he now knows that he is getting billed from now on when he asks for ice.

A few atiny asked about the games he was playing and animal crossing, but he said he hadn't played much in a while and that he was into Zelda at the moment. He even tried getting wooyoung to buy it so they could play (I'll play with u Hwa 🥺)

He talked a little about the summer photobook coming out, he said that those were take a while ago and he didn't really remember the shooting much. (Apparently there's water involved???? 🤨)

He also kinda spoke about the new magazine shoot for cosmopolitan and that he had lots of behind the scenes pics that he wanted to show us. He can only post 10 on insta tho (ateez solo Instas when kq?) He said it was hard to choose but he'll show us

Someone asked if he was tired or sleepy (cuz of his voice) and he said no actually he was adjusting well to the time zones and is well rested. He said the private jet had some comfy beds and he felt like he fell right through it, that's how soft it is. (I'm lowkey jealous, take me with u seonghwa) someone else asked if it was just the members, he said no there was 13 of them (both members and some staff)

A few atinys asked if he could do lives often and he said, if he didn't have to show his face he would. He just likes talking to us and it's really nice and comfortable for him to do lives like this (got me crying or whatever 🤧 ) he agreed with a comment that said it was like a phone call

He was looking at the time back in korea and said that it was getting late so he had to go. He said that even though he still had some more time in his day, many atiny were going to bed and some were starting there's so he was going to let us go now. He said his cute little goodbyes and ended the live

Destiny Seeker Live Blogging

...I actually don't know why I'm starting this right now when I didn't even have this on my watchlist, was just vaguely aware of it, and also was finally in the middle of my Utsukushii Kare S1 rewatch before watching S2 & movie. For the past few weeks I've been really wanting to watch some regular Thai university BL and the last one I'd watched was literally Be My Favourite in November last year. I'd watched some high school/uni BLs from other countries (usually kBL and I literally paused my Utsukushii Kare S1 rewatch to start this ffs) but idk why I'm craving a Thai uni BL right, it doesn't even necessarily have to be great, just a regular run-off-the-mill uni romance.

Anyway, here it goes, I guess. I'm nervous about its subs though because people say those are terrible. Also, found this fun tiktok where apparently a side couple is dating in private but enemies in public, ah one of my fave tropes (Bad Buddy is the most prominent one but My Secret Love also had a side couple like that). Don't know anything else about the show except uni + multiple couples

Overall:

Not very good, it's kinda non-sensical and has terrible subs and I watched it all on 1.25 speed. However, I was deeply craving a typical university Thai BL and it gave me that with engineer students and enemies to lovers. Sonkhgram and Ai were pretty cute and their pretend enemies while both likes the other for years was endearing ig? The freshmen Pluster and Nano were also really good toward the middle-end, the little gossips and schemers. Meen and Bright were meh, which is disappointing because it could've been something more compelling. All in all, a meh show to watch if wanting something really tropey that requires 0 thought.

Tuesday, March 12th, 2024!

12:20am: ok so technically the thirteenth but I just realized I literally have been sitting on my phone since 5pm 😑 RIP I have no idea how I even managed to do this. Good lord my sleep schedule is so fucked up and I'm still so horny. This is not looking good like at all.

He texted me and said he was in the hospital yesterday for the hemorrhoid/ fissure thing lol I didn't know it was literally going on right then and there 💀 why tf did he call me like that yesterday when he's having a medical crisis lmao. Then I guess he came to his senses today bc he sounded more composed when I called him. Told me he has an interview with a car wash place tomorrow and that he's still working on bike projects. Also said he has to pay out of pocket for his hospital visit which is wild how does he not have any insurance tbh. Damn hot mess idk. I'm glad he's sounding better and I guess I'll just leave it at that tbh. Lol I asked him to send me a shirtless pic and he did?? That's wild dude, ik that's not crazy scandalous but what a dog, I was trying to sexy talk to him on the phone but it kept cutting out so RIP 🤣 I think we're in limbo rn as a pair or whatever, but I'm moving up and he's making his lateral moves so go off. The first time he sees you talking to something that isn't there...

Honestly, he doesn't really pay it much mind. Diluc had a habit of just talking at things, and maybe he was used to it. Just a way to get your thoughts out of your head.

But he starts getting a little concerned when you start saying names- Maybe you're just venting some unspoken demons. He's not going to pry, he has his own to fight.

But when the names become consistent and familiar, he's really concerned. Like you're actually talking to people, and not just speaking aloud.

So, he decides to bring it up.

"Love," he says, gently swirling a glass of wine, "You've been talking about... Or to, someone named 'Cecile' a lot." He says, as though it's the most casual thing in the world, "May I ask who Cecile is?"

You're confused for a moment, Cecile is a... You'd say former friend, but you met her well past her death. A lonely, but kind woman, who eternally had these pretty crows feet that became more pronounced when she smiled, and a slight tremor to her nonphysical hands...

And you realize.

Normally, someone would question your talking to things that weren't there, and you'd explain then, but Kaeya didn't... You thought you told him, due to how casual he seemed about the whole thing, but...

You really, really didn't, and you suddenly realize he's just been lovingly waiting in the dark, waiting for you to shed some light on him, and the entire situation, without prodding or insulting. Just patiently waiting.

It came out all at once- Cecile is a spirit, as in ghost, as in person who physically died but their soul refuses to go for... Some reason or another. Yes, you can see spirits, those who have died but not wholly, and can hear them. You've done it since you were a child, and you know it sounds insane and so incredibly weird but it's the whole truth, and-

"I believe you," he interrupts, taking a sip, "I mean, I have my thoughts; anyone would, but I believe you."

You stare for a moment.

"You do?"

"I do."

It was that easy?

"But," Kaeya said, setting his glass down, it making a little klink against the wooden table, "If it's not too much to ask, I'm not sure if it just happens or you have to intentionally look them out... Would you mind if..."

He hesitates. You wait, he was so casual and accepting, unlike many others, you would wait for him as he waited for you.

"If you could, I don't know..." Was he getting cold feet? "... Come somewhere with me? I want to see if someone... important to me... Is still around. If that's a lot to ask, please tell me, I really wouldn't know if I'm asking some terrible thing of you."

This was a common request whenever anyone who even believed a little, be it lover or acquaintance or person who literally just happened to overhear you tell someone.

It wasn't that big of a favor, so you smiled.

"Who are you looking for?"

Albedo

"Oh, that's... that's quite sad, I'm sorry," You said, looking at what Albedo thought to be just a wall. He blinked a few times, had he said something? No, he didn't think he was, he was writing out a report for some... sudden property damage. He didn't talk much unless prompted, anyway.

"Well, you take care, I'll be sure to tell her about you... Rest well."

And suddenly, your gaze was off of the wall, or whatever you thought to be looking at, and then you walked over to the chair set by Albedo's desk, sitting down without a thought, and reaching over to grab a paper from a stack of blanks he kept on his desk, immediately beginning to write.

"What was that?" Albedo asked, calmly, as he set aside the form he was working on, and moved to the next, "It didn't sound like you were talking to yourself."

He wouldn't mind that- Sucrose did that, often, talking to herself. Not as though there was multiple people- but often narrating what she was doing, or about to do, or what she ought to do. He didn't understand it, but he didn't mind either.

Whether you did or did not wasn't the point- that... wasn't what 'talking to one's self' sounded like.

You stared at him for a moment, thinking. He looked away from the papers, then back at you, brows slightly furrowed in concern of what he was about to hear in response...

"Well, I'm not sure you'll believe this, but-"

He blinked a few times, tilting his head to the side slightly as he intently waited.

"I... can see spirits. Like, ghosts."

He hummed for a moment.

"I never did believe in ghosts," he hummed, then looked back down at his paper, grabbing his pen and returning to work, "But I have no reason to believe you'd lie to me."

Other than that, he simply seemed to focus on his work. He received the answer he wanted, and that was it.

You waited for a moment, as though a sudden realization would strike, and he would be asking you more and more... but it never came.

"Albedo?" You asked, and he looked up at you,

"Hm?"

"That's... it? You don't... have any questions?"

Albedo tapped his pen to his lips, looking at the window.

"Could you tell me before you talk to... whomever? Just so I don't accidentally think you're talking to me."

"That's not what I meant," you explained, gently, "You're just... You don't have anything else to say?"

Albedo blinked once, twice.

"Well, it's odd, but I do believe you. What else is there to say?"

...

And back he went, to his work, letting you walk off and return to your friend... Without as much as a second question.

Childe

"He's not that bad," You said, just as Childe was about to round the corner, stopping in his tracks, "Sure, he's... odd. But he's not the monster you believe him to be."

He wondered who you were talking to, he just wanted to bring back some groceries so he could prepare that fish he caught just an hour ago, but...

Well, a few minutes tacked on wouldn't make it go bad, as he curiously listened to... whoever you were talking to.

"Yes, he's bloodthirsty, but you-" a soft huff? "-Are just as bad! Stop coming here, there's nothing to can gain from taunting us like this."

A moment of shock, and his legs moved before he did, dropping the bags, and water swirling as weapons had formed in his hands, but as he walked rushed into the room-

No one but you, looking a little irritated. He looked around... then his shoulders slumped, turning his gaze to look at you.

"Who," he said, cautiously, "Were you talking to?"

You sat down with a huff, "Just- Just some poor fool who..."

...

"Who? How fast was he? I didn't even hear his footsteps!"

You looked at him oddly, and let out a breathless, awkward chuckle.

"I- I think I need to explain something," you struggled out, and his blades disappeared, and he... frowned...

"Are you... cheating on me?" He knew jumping to conclusions was bad, but... someone being here and disappearing so fast...

That didn't make sense, actually, even when you didn't know he was listening, you still spoke highly of him! Defended him!

"No! Never, but it's... weird."

"Weird? Weirder than a monster with a big, fat pearly eye?" He grinned, just happy to know that you hadn't turned your back on him.

"Well, when you put it like that, talking to spirits doesn't sound that odd."

"Wait," Childe's eyes went wide, "Spirits? Do you mean ghosts or elemental spirits, like the Geograna?" As far as he knew, the elemental 'grana were too simple for complicated thoughts, but maybe-

"Ghosts," you clarified. Well, there goes that train of thought.

"Wait, ghosts! You can talk to ghosts? Why didn't you tell me that before, that's so cool! Are they physical at all? Do you think I could fight one? Imagine fighting someone who already died!"

You held back your tongue on that comment, "Well, no," you explained, "It's... I can just see them. Always have. Some are kind, some are not, they don't do much beyond very minor things..."

Childe was frozen for a second, "Oh! Wait, I was going to make dinner... Can you keep telling me all about it?" He asked, with no small amount of excitement, "I need to get the stuff I dropped..."

"You dropped it?"

"I... got excited."

Well, at least he still seemed to be the same Ajax as always, excited and curious even about the most improbable of things...

Kazuha

"You know," you said, "It's odd."

Kazuha looked over at you, still a comfortably kind of sleepy, having dozed away most of the warm afternoon. He blinked a few times, and yawned,

"What is?" He asked, rubbing his eye as he looked at you, resting his head on his arm- he was still quite sleepy, but not exhausted, just a pleasant floatiness, a lovely warm wrapped around him, like a blanket warmed by the sun, just barely plucked off of a clothesline, and bundling him up just before the night came...

Ah. Night would come soon, but it was only midday. He had no reason to worry about the cold just yet, so he wouldn't, instead just enjoying himself.

"Your friend always seems to be with you... it must be nice, like an eternal hug."

... His... friend?

Suddenly, the comforting, warm floatiness had disappated on the wind, and he was pushing himself up, looking at you with a wild concern in his eyes-

"What... are you talking about?" Kazuha was... well, he was an odd one, he knew this, he didn't speak properly and, as Beidou once said, Sometimes he opens his mouth and flowers come out instead of words. But, this was odd even for him.

"Your friend." You said, plainly, "T-Tomo?"

Kazuha blinked...

"Tomo? What- what about him? He..."

It was a touchy topic, for both of you. There was no lie that there was something between him and Tomo, but it was something you both decided to not discuss. He was gone. He loved you.

Even if his heart was still delicate, and easy to wound.

You looked at Tomo, then it seemed you had looked past him, instead, to something behind him. He turned to look as well- but there was nothing but the landscape. Beautiful, but nothing particularly noteworthy.

"I... Well, it's a little complicated," you said, as Kazuha pulled himself up properly, and sat down instead of being half splayed out, crossing his legs as he looked at you, the fogginess in his brain making it impossible for him to try and figure out what was happening in your head.

"To make it simple, I can... see spirits."

Kazuha... blinked.

"Well, that's vague," he thought aloud, and visibly cringed at himself, "I... I'm sorry. I mean- Every thing has a spirit. I would... like a bit more explanation," he awkwardly pushed out.

"Ghosts," you said, clearer, "Those who have passed. Died. I... Tomo-" you hesitated, "He's... well, he's around. Just, not in a way you can see."

... Tomo...

"He..."

"If it... helps at all, he's happy you're happy. Even without him."

Kazuha looked around, and his heart- it ached. It ached so much. Tomo could see him, but he could not see Tomo, and... and...

He half jumped at you, and held you close, burying his face in your neck...

It seemed he'd react to your 'seeing of spirits' another time...

But even then, he seldom cared. You were you... he just... wished Tomo didn't have to see all this.

Diluc

A quiet day, Diluc was basking in the sunlight- he seldom did this, after too many times of getting his face poked at for freckled that dotted his features when he was not as pale as a ghost, he had hid from the warmth of the sun...

A tortoise having sat itself near him, he resting his hand on it, petting its shell- could it feel the petting? He didn't know, but it felt nice. His own falcon, resting next to his head, sometimes poking at his hair a little...

And you were around doing... something. Not that he minded, maybe you were sampling the grapes, or chatting with some of the staff. You hadn't asked for him, nor disturbed him, so he figured you didn't need him at the moment.

Thus, he dozed. In and out of sleep, with the clouds sometimes skirting over the light of the sun, taunting him into deeper rest... Then making sure he didn't go too far when the sun came back.

Eventually, there was a soft shuffling, and a little bit of shade- and you were lying beside him. It felt nice- without much thought, he reached over and grabbed your hand, wiggling his fingers between yours to intertwine them, a small, pleased smile on his face...

"Your father's so proud of you, you know." You said, and his eyes cracked open, lashes fluttering as he tried to wake up from his dazy slumber, before turning his head to look at you,

That was a little... random.

"It's a nice thought," he said, taking his hand away from yours just to stretch, and then push himself to a sitting position... still, he grabbed your hand again, once he had finally begun to wake up, "But I won't really ever know."

You, too, pushed yourself up, looking at him... focusing...

"Well, I do know." You insisted, "I mean, it's... It's okay if you don't believe me, not many do... but he is. He really is."

He blinked a few more times- he was so... tired. Groggy. You weren't making... sense.

"You've never misled me," he said, "But I don't really understand what you're talking about."

"I can speak to ghosts." You blurted out.

"... Ghosts?"

"Dead people... I... Well, a lot of people who die pass immediately. Some don't. I can see them... Easier than most can." You explained, "And I saw your father walking through the vineyard... He really is proud of you, Diluc. He's happy you've been getting better these past few years."

Better...?

Did he...?

"I..." Diluc swallowed thickly, "I do appreciate it, but... this is a... lot all at once."

"I... I know. You don't have to believe me, I get it-"

"I do."

"-'s," you stopped, "You do?"

"I've always... been able to tell there was something a little off. You'd look at some things for an extended amount of time. That's... erm... Not the part I'm struggling with."

Before he knew it, he felt hot tears beginning to roll down his cheeks, leaving trails that felt so ice-cold in the gentle breeze...

This was a demon he couldn't fight at the moment... But when he felt you consoling him, wiping away his tears...

Maybe he could deal with that later, with your special... blessing.

Taurus - Good In Goodbye : you guys are represented by the bull ....do I need any explanation? lmaoo no fr if you guys have a bit of a tendency to burst into anything, you also never leave things unsaid and people alone if they do you wrong. Cancer - Selfish : CANCER MY EMOTIONAL LIL CRABS!! istg i haven't seen more emotional than you guys....it's crazy, you crying alone in your shower is really THE mood right? but that's what i love about you, your ability to just connect with your emotions, it makes me wanna connect to mine, you guys' ability to radiate whatever emotion is just so poetic, cancers are so poetic and so is selfish, a breaking song with a powerful message between the lines, that's who you are to me. you're too emotional for me to be continuously around you but honestly when i wanna have a strong emotional time, i know who to call.

Leo - Baby : my little divas, ya'll just so confident and funny, you're literally such drama queens & yet i've never seen anyone being more down to earth. my mom is leo (...at least that's what we think...since we don't know her real birthdate) BUT she's my lil hyper queen and ya'll should be treated like the queens/kings ya'll are & baby is honestly you're anthem i don't wanna hear anything else about it.

Virgo - Sour time : I LOVE TALKING W/ VIRGOS cause they've this logical and quick way of thinking, like they are SO SMART, so i picture them singing sour time, which is a song that is smartly written and u need a double listen to understand what it means. LIKE they literally can see right through someone's intention which is also a quality that I recognize in Aquariuses.

Libra - Everything Happens For A Reason : I feel like libras have this sweet nostalgy to yourself which makes u the most romantic beings ever. You're like the most sweet song at the end of a good movie idk you guys makes me feel so good about myself if that make sense and this song has the same vibe.

Scorpio - BOYSHIT : do u need more info about how scorpio could just kill somebody for the sake of it? hahaha jk i love u scorpios but you guys are kinda scary..which speaks to my inner self ngl lmao but i mean you guys give off the same energy as BOYSHIT, which means don't test me cause i'll end u w/o moving from my throne

Sagittarius: stay numb and carry on : Once you betray a sagittarius? THEY MOVE THE HECK ON and GOOD for them honestly no one has time to handle people's bs bc society is telling us to do, you don't live in YOUR world, you live in a sagittariuse's one! and i love that for them. they just stay numb to the bs and move on to greater people & even more greater things

Capricorn - Stained Glass : Capricorn are literally born to win anything they involve themselves into, they will do anything to obtain the top 1 and no matter if they lose some feathers along the way, you'll never see through their scars cause they're strong enough to go on with the deepest scars and smile in the end. I see them as some of the toughest people!

Aquarius - Homesick : they're the most underrated, rarest and most complicated minds to ever exist, they're misunderstood and yet they don't really care? cause in the end, they're the smartest people and they're mostly right most of the time even if it's annoying cuz they're aware of it too much. Once they believe in something nothing can break that. They're also SO open minded which makes them the companion of a lifetime since they'll NEVER judge you. but they're also some emotionless mf and i love it that way.

Pisces - Effortlessly : "Sadness isn't real, then why's it feel so physical?" ....do we need to elaborate? emotions flows in them like a river and i think they're emotionally geniuses, they have the widest spectrum of emotion and sometimes they drown in it and they don't really know how to feel and what to feel, which ends up in absorbs emotions of others and their own like sponges and explodes, but i envy your magic, and effortlessly has magic in the way they portray emotion in a powerful yet quiet ballad!

Neo: The World Ends With You

I'm invested in the original game and its characters, I'm invested in this game and its characters. I've had a lot of time for the original game to marinate and I can say that I enjoy pretty much every character and their arc and while I don't exactly feel the same with this one, that's not disappointing to me and this was my most anticipated game of 2021 so I mean that. This is a sequel, I expected as much and it didn't let me down, it's even better than I thought.

This is a NONSPOILER review because I think it's best experienced by actually experiencing it so I'll keep a lot of character, story, and even gameplay details out other than how the very VERY beginning of the game starts out with Rindo and Fret.

Let me give credit where credit is due, Rindo is voiced by Paul Castro Jr. who is a new voice actor and I was honestly impressed by his voice more than anyone else in the game, I love his voice and while Rindo has some pretty big shoes to fill as the main, I think he does it. Rindo seems to act pretty accordingly to the situation he's put in. He's not as edgy as Neku but he has enough push to him to where he would be considered the "negative" of the group but I would rather call it "rational" because he brings up some valid points, stuff that I myself was asking. Putting yourself in his shoes, that seems pretty accurate.

Fret on the other hand is a bit of the opposite, an optimist if you will. He's not really a "bad" character, just in comparison to the others, he's not my favorite. I think that there needs to be someone in his position who tries to uplift the team, but he's just a little annoying about it sometimes. Also get ready to hear "Galaxy Brain, ACTIVATE!!" literally hundreds of times, as much as he talks, you'd think he'd add more variety.

IMPROVEMENTS:

I'm not going to complain about certain gameplay elements or limitations that carried over from the last game except one. The camera. It's fixed to where you have no control over it in the city areas and therefore can't get a proper look at everything, whether that works in its favor, I'm not sure because you get used to it but it's just a small peeve you start out with.

The combat is pretty loyal to the first game which is surprising. I personally didn't like the original gameplay because it was so limited on the DS, a lot of room for error, but having it on console expands the system and lets you use buttons rather than mashing a touch screen, improving on almost, if not all, gameplay fronts. However, because it's based on a game from 2007, the system may seem a little outdated to some, it's really up to you, it made a fan out of me, making it more fun.

I played the original in bites, not because of lack of enjoyment but because I felt like it was a game I could only get into for so long at a time but with this game it's the complete opposite. Maybe it was the DS hardware that hampered the original but I say it's a decent success on this game's part. I also felt that Persona 5 seemed a bit formulaic in its story context and gameplay layout with each castle but this game, while having patterns, it changes before you get the chance to really catch on. I could predict P5 but I couldn't predict this, each day was a mystery, I knew you'd fight people but I didn't always know who or when which is crazy considering that P5 had all the choices!

A small improvement that I'll suggest for combat is having short rhythm based moves or even QTEs, like how in the original Shiki had the directional pad moves which were annoying but still varied from the rest of the gameplay. There are definitely new things that you can do, but there are a few aspects worth complaining about. You can unlock certain abilities and once you enable them, you can't disable them. The only one that it personally applies with is the ability to enable individual health bars for enemies, rather than an overall one. Which sounds good but-

I personally don't like that it's always floating above their heads, if it was on the side screen, that'd be one thing but constantly above their heads? No deal. I actually had to go back and load up an old save to get rid of it. But with unlocking certain abilities comes with quality of life aspects so if you're not in love with the gameplay at first, give it a little bit because you might be able to unlock whatever piece you're missing.

There's also "soundsurfing" that adds to your groove meter that you can use when running around and it said that you press (in my case "X" on PS4) to the beat of the song which is a cool concept but it really isn't clear how to use it because I try matching the beat and I get nothing and have more success just button mashing. The groove meter can drop when it's not supposed to, like when you literally can't attack during the buffering of a special or switching between battles in a chain (The "Get Ready" screen) And if you're in a proper boss battle, you HAVE to fight, it's like a trainer battle in Pokémon which is especially annoying when you accidentally press "retry". It has no reason to be there when I already know that I'm not prepared for the boss and can't back out.

Do the trailers spoil it?

Originally, I only saw the first and or second trailer and knew I wanted it so there was no reason to see any more but it was kind of overwhelming with all the characters they were showing off in just a single trailer. I don't think they needed to go that far but I understand why they did. I understand why they showed a lot of things that they did but I think it's a bit easier to SWALLOW when it's introduced in-game. I even found myself doing all the side-quests and being engaged in the side-stuff in-game. But I knew about people pointing out spoilers so after I finished it, I went back and looked at the other trailers and OH BOY. The final trailer shows some stuff and I'm SO glad I didn't watch it. They straight up show some out of context death scenes as well as different alliances and betrayals, not to mention parts of the freaking ending. The launch trailer is no better, it's just like that trailer but cut down. You may not have context but you can draw some hefty conclusions and that alone makes me question, why? I'm not sure if there are many reveals that they DIDN'T tease, it's like they went out of their way to hit every single one. Whether it's Square or Nintendo, they need to figure out how to cut a trailer, heck, hire me, I at least have the editing skills and know what's interesting enough to show and what's too spoilery not to show, come on!

Is it newcomer friendly?

I heard a lot of things like "it drops you in without mercy so pay very close attention" (in terms of story, that is) so only people who played the original game will be able to get it. But I beg to differ, I think it does a pretty good job of filling you in while putting you in the shoes of a new player (both in the game and out) AND keeping the mystery of whatever happened since the last game coming in small pieces. Most of the dialogue text boxes are voice acted so it's not really a slog to read. To prove my point further, the premise starts out very similar so it should be easy to clue in what exactly happened in the last game. Of course you're going to get more enjoyment out of it if you played the original but I don't think you'd be totally lost if you started with this one and played to right before the ending because then it kinda has to do stuff without preface, so you're going to be confused by much of the emotional weight that it carries. But it still gives you plenty of time to catch up on the original, whether through the game, videos, or lore, this game has you ask the questions, so fill in the blank. It has a nice length to it so you'll have until the ending to figure it out. Also, Final Remix teased stuff that this game makes clarity on but I wouldn't call FR mandatory. (Except maybe no numbers on the hand? Maybe even I missed something there.)
