New Girl Luke Castellan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You were the new girl in town, after stirring some problem, you catch the attention of a certain kind, hermes boy where you have your first times with...
Pairing: Luke Castellan x Fem!Aphrodite!reader
Word Count: 1.5k
Warnings: Kisses, first time, angst, fluff, Percy being a sweetheart, Admiration, Mild cursing, mentions of fighting...
A/N: This was inspired by @angelicdanvers for her Breathe Deeper Social media fic. I will be having a social media thingy as well because I was so inspired by her, so creds to this lovely lady right here<33
Tumblr media
You were Aphrodite's demigod daughter. When your Father safely brought you to camp half-blood you were scared.
You didn't want to be here. You didn't want to leave your father, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
2:14pm
You were not claimed yet and was relocated to the hermes cabin. Where kids who weren't claimed go until they are claimed.
You walked in with Chiron and he explained everything to you. As you walk in Chiron claps to get everyone's attention.
All eyes were on you. You hated this kind of attention but at the same time, something inside of you loved having this attention.
"Everyone, This is our new half-blood, Please make her feel welcome." He announces to everyone in the room.
Your eyes land on a blonde haired boy with blue eyes. He smiles at you and you smile back. You notice your stuff next to the blonde kid and went over there.
Everybody's eyes traced your body and where you walked. When you finally reached your stuff you sat down and sighed.
"Hi. Are you ok?" The blonde haired boy asked you. You looked up and saw him sitting next to you and staring at you with sympathy.
"Yea, just overwhelmed you know? Didn't want to a half-blood. Didn't expect any of this." You respond.
"I know. My first time here was two weeks ago. I'm still trying to get used to it. I lost my mom trying to get here. I'm Percy. Percy Jackson." He says with a warm smile.
You offer it right back. "I'm sorry about your mom. Nice to meet you Percy Jackson."
You tell him your name and he smiles. You two talk for a while before a certain someone catches your eye.
A cute brunette boy with a scar on his right eye and cute puppy dog eyes staring at you and percy talk.
When you look at him, you both hold eye contact for a little while before Percy snaps you out of it by calling someone's name.
"Luke! Come here dude." He calls. You look away looking for who he's calling over and that's when you notice he was calling over the boy you were staring at earlier.
So his name was Luke huh? you thought. He was cute, very cute. You loved the way his curls bounced as he made his way over to the both of you.
You loved the smile that appeared on his face when he saw his friend Percy. He also threw a kind smile your way and you folded.
"Wassup Percy!" He said with excitement. He stopped in front of both of you still standing.
You stood when Percy stood up not wanting to be the only one on the floor looking like a fool.
"I wanted you to meet my new friend." He says with his cute smile. You look at him and he locks eyes with you again.
"Hey, I'm-"
"Luke. Yea, I heard." You respond with a slight chuckle. This makes him chuckle and he raises an eyebrow as if to ask what your name is.
You also tell him your name and he repeats it. You love the way it rolls off his tongue. The way he says it so easily and majestically.
"Well, come on! We'll show you around." He says smiling at you again. As your walking a girl with curls comes and pushes you in the shoulder.
"Hey what the hell is your problem!" You snap back pushing her. She immediately pushes you back and you push her right back again.
Before things could escalate any further, Luke is pulling you back by your arms while your thrashing around yelling at her.
"Shhh calm down. Calm down." He says in your ear.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Let me go Luke!" You say slightly breaking out of his hold and pushing her down to the ground.
She yells at you with hatred and rage in her eyes and you yell right back.
When Luke pulls you back your seething with wrath but you've calmed down a bit.
"Ugh! What is your problem new girl?!" Clarisse yells at you.
"My Problem!? What's your problem?!" You yell back...
"You pushed me for no reason and then laughed about it! I know you fucking saw me!"
"Don't EVER do that again or I promise you will regret it!" You say pulling Luke's hands off you.
Immediately Clarisse scoffed but she backed off raising her hands in surrender.
"Ok...ok, i'm sorry. Won't happen again." She says staring at you. You blinked a little shocked at her surrender but you nodded.
"Apology accepted. I'm sorry for pushing you back." You apologize. She wipes the tiny blood on her face from when she fell and then nodded before walking away.
All of a sudden the crowd splits when she leaves and everyone looks up and sees an Open winged Dove holding a rose in its beak above your head.
Chiron's voice is heard as he approaches. "You have been claimed. Daughter of Aphrodite. Goddess associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion, and procreation." He announces.
You look at Luke and Percy and they smile at you.
5:35pm
You all were having Lunch at the Hall and you were sitting with Luke, Percy, and Annabeth and Grover who you just recently met.
You had gotten to know her and liked her very much same with Grover, he was funny. You guys had just finished the Capture the Flag and were now enjoying some lunch.
"And then I pushed her back and she fell. Who is she anyway?" You ask reminiscing about the fight that happened earlier.
"Her names Clarisse Daughter of Ares. She isn't exactly nice but if you get glory she respects you." Luke says.
You nod and continue eating. "You looked like you knew what you were doing. You get in fights a lot?" Luke asked curiously.
"Yea, back when I was in school. I used to get into a lot of fights. I guess I know why now." You say chuckling.
"Well Your the daughter of Aphrodite! Why would a pretty girl like you get into fights? Your not Ares daughter!" Percy exclaims.
"Cause, a lot of girls would think I was trying to steal their boyfriends or be a pick me girl. Constantly trying to ask for attention. But that was never the case. Sometimes I got partnered up with their boyfriends! Not my fault, the teacher chose not me. You explain to the four.
They all nod and you all sit in a comfortable silence. "Hey Luke?" You ask staring at him. He makes eye contact with you and raises an eyebrow.
"Yea?" He replies.
"Thanks. For holding me back. Calming me down. I probably would have punched her." You say chuckling.
"No problem. What are friends for?" He says smiling at you. You smile and your face gets hot.
"W-Were friends?" You ask looking at everybody at the table.
Everyone nods and smiles at you. Percy wraps his arm around your shoulder and you smile.
You had made friends, on your first day. You guess this camp wouldn't be so bad huh?
10:37pm
You made yourself comfortable at cabin 10 with everybody else. Your dressed in your silky blue pajamas that your dad had gotten you for your 15th birthday.
As you were getting tucked in you tried to go to bed. But memories of Luke kept flooding your mind.
God, why was the son of hermes flooding your mind. He was so cute though.
You were so influenced by your thoughts that you didn't even realize that you were walking towards his cabin in the middle of the night.
You found the window near his bed and peeked inside. You noticed he wasn't there.
Then you felt someone's hands on your waist turning you around and putting you down.
You quickly turn around panicking but calm down realizing it's just Luke himself.
When you fully register who it is you start panicking again. "Oh h-hi Luke."
You awkwardly stand there as the smirk on his beautiful face grows by your flustered state.
"Hey pretty girl. W-what are you doing by my window?" He asks raising an eyebrow and smirking.
"Uhhh... I was uhm.. Just l-looking for uhm... PERCY! That's right!" You say slightly proud of the lie you just told.
"Percy was claimed today. Remember? Son of Poseidon? You literally called him that earlier today." He replies his smirk getting wider as your smile slowly fades.
He laughs out loud and starts walking towards the door. "See you tomorrow pretty girl." He says chuckling. "I know deep down you were he for me." He adds with a wink.
You weren't gonna do this. You weren't gonna do this. God, you weren't gonna do this.
"Wait Luke!" You whisper yell out.
Shit. You did this.
"I uhm... can you just-ugh." You give up and walk up to him. You grab his face and smash your lips on his.
You kiss him passionately and lovingly before pulling away to get a break.
"I like you. Just wanted to tell you that. You've been running around my mind all night and I couldn't sleep until I told you. So goodbye." You say kissing him one more time before making your departure.
Luke stood there completely flabbergasted and dumbfounded. His eyes wide and mouth agape.
What the actual fuck?

wild flowers - percy jackson
Request: yes! "Can I request a platonic Percy Jackson x Child of Demeter!Reader based off the new Disney series? Where Child of Demeter!Reader is significantly older than Percy (17/18 maybe?) and is the one to welcome him to camp instead of Luke. Reader is more gentle and understanding to Percy's questions and is in general sort of a parent figure in the camp?" Pairing:  percy jackson x demeter!reader (platonic) Summary:  you welcome the newest kid at camp half-blood Warnings:  none (omg??) Word count:  1.1K A/N: was excited when I saw the new episode will be out on Tuesday but then I looked at the time zone and it's 3 am for me so I'll still watch it on wednesday :') thanks for your request, enjoy!
you try not to look away as percy, the newest addition to camp half-blood, nearly shoots another camper. he falls to the ground due to the force of the bow.
'alright.' you say, walking over to see if percy's okay. 'so not archery.'
'I didn't mean to!' says percy, looking at the kids who had flattened themselves to the ground to avoid being shot.
'of course you didn't, they know that. can I have the bow?' you say.
percy quickly shoves the bow in your hands as well as the quiver of arrows. you hand them back to the apollo kid who was teaching him with a thanks and an apologetic smile.
'see, I suck at this.' says percy. 'I'm not good at anything.'
'hey, that's not true.' you say. 'everyone is good at something. c'mon, I'll take you to my favorite spot at camp.'
that gets his attention. 'your favorite spot?'
'yep. right this way.'
you lead him away from the archery field. you can tell he's curious. you take him to the strawberry field, where some of the satyrs and your siblings are tending to the plants.
you walk past the strawberries to a field of grass where wild flowers grow.
'it's pointless.' says percy as the two of you sit down.
you frown. 'what is?'
he gestures around. 'all of this. I'm not one of you. it's clear there's something wrong with me. none of this matters because my dad won't reveal himself, he doesn't care. my mom is gone. I suck at archery. and I can't work in the forge. I can't do anything.'
you look at him. most kids are tough on themselves when they arrive. percy isn't any different.
'at least you didn't suck as much at archery than I did.' you say. 'contrary to you, I actually did hit someone when trying out archery '
percy's eyes widen. 'you did?'
you nod. 'apollo kids had to patch them up. luckily it wasn't that bad. but still I haven't touched a bow since. and I'm also not good at sword fighting. I only carry one because it's the weapon I suck the least with.'
'what if you suck at everything?' asks percy softly.
you smile at him. 'this is all normal. we all felt like this when we came here, regardless if we could already fight or not. and look at me, I still can't fight that well. I'm a joke compared to luke and clarisse if it comes to fighting. gods, even annabeth is better than me and she's your age.'
you point ahead to the strawberry fields. 'my cabin doesn't bring forth the best fighters. and that's okay. we're good at other things.' you say.
percy looks at your siblings, sure enough, not a lot of them carry weapons. maybe you do because you're head counsellor of your cabin.
'when did you find out who your mom was?' asks percy.
you sense he's not just curious about your godly heritage. he wants to know how long it would take before his father claims him. and he already knows there are unclaimed kids.
'for me it was pretty clear. I've always loved plants. I've got an impressive garden back at home.' you say. 'demeter claimed me my second day at camp.'
'so pretty fast...'
'for some kids it's fast. for some it's slow. some kids are very certain about who their godly parent is and sometimes they're right and sometimes they're not. you can't predict it with 100% accuracy.'
'did someone guess it correctly?'
'most of the times it's the athena kids who are right about their hunches. but they're athena kids of course, very smart. also a lot of ares kids are right. and for others it's a 50/50 chance. for instance, milo. everyone was convinced he was a hephaestus kid because he really liked to blow stuff up. turns out he's an athena kid. he's just really smart about blowing stuff up.'
'I bet I'm a kid of the god or failure or something. I'm just a regular kid, I'm not special. I don't have any impressive powers. not like you.'
'you think my powers are impressive?' you chuckle. 'I'm good with plants percy. over the years I've learned how to master those. but at first all I did was accidentally make flower patches.'
percy looks at you, frowning. 'you what?'
you laugh, then point to your shoes. they look like you've worn them every day for the past five years. which you have, somehow they won't wear down.
'these were a gift from my mom. if I don't wear them, flowers grow where I walk.'
'really?'
you nod and take them off. you get up and walk a circle around percy. and indeed, flowers grow where you put your feet down on the grass. you pick one and give it to percy, then put your shoes back on.
'it's the only thing I still can't master. maybe it's not something to be mastered. I'd ask my mom but the only time I saw her was when I was out fighting for my life. wasn't really the time to ask about flowers. she didn't even give me my shoes in person, just sent them here.'
you and percy are silent as you look out over the valley. you remember your first days at camp, how scared you were. you didn't know anyone, you were told your mom was a goddess, and you could never have a moment alone because there would always be someone who could find you based on the flowers you left behind.
'everyone here has been through what you're going through now.' you say. 'maybe they didn't experience it in the same way. I mean, you did kill the minotaur. but all of them have been confused, wondered about wether they belong, if there's something wrong with them. we all found our way in the end.'
'did you feel like you didn't belong?'
'sure. but then chiron explained to me it's all because of the gods. we've got dyslexia because our brain is wired in greek. the adhd is from our need to fight. it's all in our dna. just give it time, you'll belong. any other questions?'
'what do you do when you're not at camp?'
you smile. 'try not to run into any monsters and wait for the time to go to camp again. you'll find your family here, percy, trust me. now let's see if the aphrodite can teach you anything.'
you get up and offer your hand to percy. after pulling him to his feet, you start to walk toward the aphrodite cabin.
'you know, regardless of what cabin you belong to, you can always come to me if you have any questions.' you say.
percy smiles at you. 'thanks.'

pairing: Clarisse La Rue x fem reader
summary: many years after your childhood best friend became your girlfriend and a few after you moved with her to Arizona for college, she seems to becoming more distant. Your determined to find out why.
a/n: this is literally such a cute idea first of all. thank you so much for requesting!! i hope it lives up to the expectations and I'm so glad you like the first one anon!! <3333
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Alone can mean a lot of things.
It can mean being by yourself, no one else in the room, or lonely, as in feeling like you're all by yourself in a world full of people.
The thing about you and Clarisse, is she never lets you feel alone.
Obviously, if you need space, she’ll give it. But she always makes sure you’re not lonely.
Until now that is.
About five years ago, you and your girlfriend left the safe place called Camp Half Blood to go to college together in Arizona, and it was soon after that you had an apartment together. You guys didn’t have a lot of money, and you didn’t have the nicest things, but you had each other. That was enough.
At least, you thought it was.
Recently, Clarisse has been distant. You blamed it on her job at first-she loves being a construction worker, but it’s tiring. When she started taking hours to come home after the time she was supposed to be off, you blamed it on how much she loves going to the gym or out for runs and probably loses track of times like she used to when she would do sword training when you guys were younger. After that, you blamed it on her being stressed from work, and Clarisse sometimes likes to go have a drink with her coworkers after work. But the thing about it was, she never came home sweaty. That ruled out the gym. She also never came home drunk or even smelling of alcohol, so the thought of her going to the bar after work was also out of the picture.
Which is why you find yourself here, curled up onto the couch as your eyes stay glued to the digital clock on the shelf near the tv- Clarisse has never been able to read a normal clock- as the seconds, minutes, and hours pass by. Your girlfriend got off work five hours ago, which makes it now exactly 10:30 pm. It may not seem too late, and you're quite scared that staying up to wait for Clarisse after making her dinner that now rests in tupperware in the fridge as it got cold while you were waiting for her at the table will make you seem paranoid. You push it to the back of your mind though. Clarisse, the girl who punches anyone who looks at her wrong, has always told you that communication is clear in your relationship. It’s the main reason that you have decided to confront her about her distance. Why isn’t she just communicating?
Your eyes finally peel away from the clock when you hear a key quietly slotting into the front door before it slowly creeks open. She’s always been sure to be quiet when coming home late, and whether it’s because she doesn’t want to wake you up from a peaceful slumber or so she doesn’t have to talk to you, you just don’t know.
“Hey.” You mumble, but it’s silent enough in the room that she hears you and freezes in the entryway. It’s a small apartment as you guys didn’t have a lot of money during college, so you can see her standing in front of the door, slowly taking off her shoes as she avoids looking at you.
“Hey angel. What are you doing up? Don’t you have work tomorrow?” One of the first things she said to you in weeks, and she doesn’t even seem excited to be around you.
With a sigh, you reveal, “I took the day off tomorrow. We need to talk.” If possible, the girl seems to tense even more. “What’s wrong?” She questions, sitting on the opposite end of the couch you're on with her sock covered feet under her legs. A month ago, she would’ve been laying on you, cuddled up so close to you that one would think she actually wants to merge into your skin. Not now though. Now, it seems like she can’t get far enough from you.
“I don’t know.” You start. “You tell me what’s wrong.” Clarisse seems taken aback, but she doesn’t say anything as she stares at the worn out pillow on your lap. “N-Nothing’s wrong. I’m fine.”
You scoff quietly, picking at the skin around your finger nails. Clarisse hates when you do that. She says she doesn’t want you to cause any pain to yourself. She doesn’t make a move to stop you now. “Okay then. Maybe nothings wrong with you, but is there something wrong with us?”
She seems to take notice of the desperation in your tone as her fingers twitch before they hesitantly reach over to hold your hand. "I....nothings wrong with us. Promise."
You sigh heavily, looking up to the ceiling to stop the forming tears from falling. "Then tell me why you're so distant Clarisse. Please." You're practically begging at this point, and her frown only deepens.
"I'm sorry." Her voice is small, a stark contrast to her usual booming tone. "I can't tell you. Not yet at least. But I promise. I will."
You sit in silence for a minute, eyes not meeting before you stand up from the couch and start making your way to the hallway that leads to your guys bedroom. "Stop promising things Clar." You mutter, lingering for a second before you turn off the lights and leave.
That night, you barely slept. Clarisse doesn't come to bed, probably asleep on the couch the way she always does when she thinks she's bothering you. This can't be the end of your relationship. She's been yours since you guys were kids. And you were hers. What changed?
The next morning, you're awakened by the sound of a loud beeping coming from what sounds like every place in the apartment. Your head hurts from crying last night as you stand up, and you make sure to wipe the dried tears off your face before you make your way out of the bedroom in sweats and one of your girlfriends shirts.
There is a calm but warm breeze coming in from the open balcony doors, but that thought is put on a back burner when you walk into the kitchen to see Clarisse sprinting to the sink with a smoking pan i. hand. She's muttering Greek curse words under her breath as she puts water on what looks like burnt eggs. Once that is calmed down, she opens the oven to reveal a cloud of heat and very crispy biscuits. You can't help but let out a silent laugh at the sight of her angrily swatting a hand towel at the smoke alarm to make it stop beeping.
"What's going on here?" You question, and she quickly tries to get you out of the room of chaos. "Hey honey. Did I wake you?" Clarisse rushes out as she leads you to sit down on the couch. "I'm making you breakfast."
You giggle, the sound causing a small smile to grace your girlfriend's face. "It seems like it's going well."
She nods, sighing as she places a chaste kiss on your head before rushing back to the kitchen to throw out her soaked scrambled eggs. For a second, it feels like the past month never happened. The warmth from the kitchen and open doors can't compare to the warmth in your chest as you watch your girlfriend be the person you know and love for the first time in way too long.
She comes back a few minutes later, pancake mix on her cheek as she takes off your apron and sits down next to you on the couch. Unlike last night, she sits as close as possible without actually touching you- probably afraid you’ll reject her touch. “I’m sorry.” She speaks, nervously rubbing her hands together. “I’m really sorry.”
The daughter of Ares slowly leans in a bit, resting her head on your shoulder when you don’t move away.
“If you’re really sorry, talk to me. Tell me what's happening.” You whisper, and she hears it as she takes a deep breath before nodding and standing up. You stare at her questioningly for a moment as she holds her hand out so she can help you up. Nonetheless, you take it, letting her warm hand hold yours as she leads you somewhere.
The balcony.
You didn’t notice it at first glance as you were busy laughing at Clarisse’s terrible cooking attempt, but it's decorated. Usually, two chairs and a small little table would be on it, but those are now gone, probably somewhere in the house. They’re replaced by a slightly bigger table, clearly the foldable one you guys use when your friends come to visit and they need more room at the three person table in your living room; but she’s put a thin gray table cloth on it that's being held down by a pot of flowers and two glasses of orange juice.
With the background of the far away mountains and plants outside, the place looks beautiful.
“Clar….”
“So? What do you think?” It’s complete deja vu to the day she became your girlfriend. The way she nervously shifts from foot to foot as she scans your face for any sign that you hate it.
“I…I love it.” You mutter, turning to her with a grin. Whether it's an apology for the way she's treated you for the past month or something else, you can’t deny that this is a dream.
She lets out a breath of relief, nodding as she runs back inside to grab two plates before coming back and setting them down. “Why though?” You ask, and she sighs.
“Because I’ve been a bad girlfriend. And all though it’s no excuse, and I should’ve at least told you why.” You nod with a small smile.
The curly haired girl takes a big deep breath, clearly nervous, before she pulls out a dark red ring box and kneels down on one knee in front of you. “The reason I’ve been gone so often, is because I’ve been out trying to find a ring that’s almost as perfect as you. I made Chiron and my brother help, and I’m sure they’re happy I’m finally done looking. It took forever, because I didn’t think any ring out there was worthy of you. But…then I talked to my dad.”
It’s clear she’s struggling to tell this part, so you force down your excitement to comfort her by caressing her cheek. She leans into your touch, taking a moment before she continues. “He said he’s proud. That he’s happy for me and that I found a good one.” You smile. She’s never had the best relationship with Ares, but it’s clear she’s okay with that now. “Then he gave me this ring.” She opens the box, revealing a beautiful, shiny ring with a silver band and red gem. “He told me he saw it in a store once, loved it, but had no one to give it too. Said he’d be honored if I could use it.”
“So, I hope you love the ring as much as I think you will.” She chuckles, hands slightly shaking as she holds up the ring. “Angel, I know we've had our ups and downs in the past, but I want you to know that I love you with all my heart. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you when we were kids, and I still want to. I know that we have grown and changed in many ways, but I still believe in our love the way I did when I was twelve. Will you do me the honor of being my wife? For real this time."
Finally, a sob escapes your throat, and she’d be scared you’re gonna say no if not for the big grin on your face. “Of course I will! Gods! Yes. I will marry you!” She nods, one of the largest smiles you’ve ever seen growing on her face as she slips the ring onto your left ring finger, the same way she did when you guys were kids. The girl stands up, casually picking you up for a hug like you weigh nothing.
“My wife.” She mumbles into your neck, leaning back to give you a kiss though it's hard with the way you both can’t stop smiling. “You’re finally going to be my real wife.”
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
After many shed tears and gentle kisses, you’re sitting down at the decorated table on your balcony, waiting for your fiance to bring you your breakfast she made.
She comes back with a pan that smells absolutely disgusting, scooping up what is in it before plopping it onto your plate. It’s dark brown mush, and you stare at it for a few seconds before looking up at her with an amused smile. The girl seems to already know what you’re going to say, because she sighs and grabs her phone from her jeans pockets as you giggle. “I’ll order from that café down the road.”
Happy wife, happy life.

Percy didn't like it when you're attention was on anybody other than him. Percy had never wanted to leave you alone with smelly Gabe and go off to some fancy school so he was relieved when he got home. Actually Percy had straight up refused to go to Yancy Academy because it meant he wouldn't be near you . Also you had gotten a few calls from Yancy saying Percy had sent someone to the hospital because they dared to make a joke about you but did you believe them? No you didn't because in your eyes Percy could do no wrong. Percy stood in front of the door to the apartment but stopped when he heard screaming and the sound of glass shattering and your pained yelp as soon as he heard you're yelp he aggressively opened the door. He saw you clutching your left arm which was bleeding badly and probably had glass in it from the beer bottle Gabe had smashed onto it.
Percy lost it when he saw you in pain . Percy hit Gabe in the back with the closes thing to him which happened to be a pen Riptide although Riptide wouldn't do any good since Gabe is a mortal so Percy just jabbed the pen really hard into Gabes back. “ HURT HER AGAIN AND I'LL SLIT YOUR…..” Percy started but you cut him off. “ Hey I'm ok sweetheart I'm ok.” You said interrupting him. “ I'm ok sweetheart.” Although neither you or Percy were entirely convinced of that. “ Mom you're arm…..” Percy said . “ I'm going to clean up then I have a surprise for you.” You said and walked into the bathroom about twenty minutes later you came out showered and you're arm wrapped. “ I forgot to give these to you.” You said holding out a bag of blue sour strings. “ Thanks mom!” Percy exclaimed. “ Of course sweetheart. That's not the surprise though. We're going to Montauk.” You said. “ Really? Just you and me?” Percy asked excited. “ You were serious about that?” Gabe complained.
“ Yes now give me the dam keys.” You said stretching your hand out. “Never. I'm not handing my keys to my car over to you.” Gabe said. “ Yes. You are.” You replied. “ Give her the fucking keys or I'll do far worse than stick a fucking pen into your back. I'll get a knife and shove it down your …” Percy started. Gabe handed you the keys. Well the trip went wrong quickly. “ Dam it I wish I had more time.” You muttered to yourself. “ Mom what's going ON???! AND WHAT'S THAT THING CHASING US???!” Percy shouted. Cue Grover trying to explain. It shattered the glass of the driver window and jammed its horn into the steering wheel causing it to be hard to do anything really. Well the car got flipped. “ Percy I need you to listen to me. What ever happens stay strong my brave boy. Stay strong and brave. I love you my sweet boy. “ You said gently before taking his jacket. “ Mom what are you doing? Mom you're scaring me.” Percy said. “ I love you my sweet boy. Grover make sure he gets to camp.” You said. “ Wait why do you need my jacket mom?” Percy asked. “ He smells half blood…. That's what he's after maybe I can confuse him.” You said.
“Mom No!” Percy exclaimed . You sighed softly pressing his forehead against yours. “ I love you sweetheart but right now you need to be brave.” You said before the minotaur roared again and you ran the opposite direction buying some time for Percy and Grover. The minotaur grabbed you. “ MOM!” Percy shouted . You felt your world go dark. “ NOOOO!” Percy yelled . He charged sword first. “ COME BACK WITH MY MOM YOU FUCKING COWARD!” Percy shouted he wasn't calling you a coward he was calling the minotaur a coward even though he saw it turn to dust. “ Fuck you dad you're a disappointment you couldn't even save my mother. You don't deserve this .” Percy said bitterly putting a blue sour string into the fire.
He jumped on the quest when he found out you might alive somehow. Honestly Percy and Grover were shocked to see you calmly sipping coffee ( or tea if you prefer it or are allergic to dairy) like nothing had happened with Persephone. Also Hades was chill as fuck. “ MOM!” Percy said literally tackling you off the chair and onto the floor into a hug. You chuckled slightly. “ Hi sweetheart.” You said hugging him back tightly. Percy had his precious mother back and he didn't intend to let you go ever again. Even if that meant he had to tear Mount Olympus apart .

pjo / hoo headcanons i have collected since my hyperfix came back
ignore the huge amount of nico and will. six years after reading the series i'm still obsessed with them </3
nico helps cabin 11 steal candy from the infirmary because everyone knows will can't stay mad at him for longer than 5 minutes
the apollo kids gifted nico a bunch of mythomagic packages after learning he had burnt his collection so he could start a new one. he thought it would not be as exciting but turns out he really really missed collecting them from zero because he had gotten used to getting doubles all the time
on the same note, cabin 7 (and specially will) try to learn to play so he has someone to play with. will and him always exchange doubles and sometimes he sacrifices good cards for mid ones just so will doesn't have a mid deck
nico once got a double perseus card and gifted it to percy
the first times nico played his favorite music to hazel she was flabbergasted by the emo genre but didn't want to be mean so she smiled and said it was "very cute"
leo calls will "güerito"
connor stoll owns a nintendo switch that used to be his and travis' (mostly travis') until he accidentally almost destroyed it and it became only his (the screen has a sepia filter to it, one of the joysticks needs adhesive tape to stay in place, it works slowly and the screen has cracks on it). when he can't sleep (because who in camp half-blood can sleep properly?) he plays pokémon until he falls asleep. he is also a big fortnite and minecraft fan.
lou ellen knows how to do balloon modelling
nico once asked chiara about what has italy been doing the past century and she showed him winx club like it was the most important thing italians did (and it is)
percy and will love teen beach movie
austin lake takes it upon himself to show nico all the music he missed during the past decades + the reason cabin 7 learns nico doesn't know any song from after 1942 is that they invite him to play a letter association game and he opts out because of this (the game is forgotten right after because having him listen to the classics is more important). no one suspected he didn't listen to modern music because 99% of his clothes are band shirts he got from percy and thalia.
will was obsessed with hannah montana / miley cyrus as a child (the climb is his favorite song)
connor didn't go to college with travis because he doesn't know what to study yet but instead he spent the year getting his driver's license
each cabin gets a "call home" day every other few days (initiative promoted by the iris cabin)
children of tyche's fatal flaw is impostor syndrome because they are constantly afraid everything they have is undeserved and just a product of their godly heritage
will's favorite dessert is texan sheet cake , nico's is panna cotta
the aphrodite cabin didn't like that nico was the only one with a personalized camp shirt (they are so done with the color orange...) so they started an initiative to get every cabin personalizes shirts with a representative color voted by the head counselors and their cabins number.
the iris and hermes cabins got together to start a camp half-blood magazine released monthly for year-rounders. they do a gossip section about couples at camp (for which they "hired" a child of aphrodite as their correspondent), interviews to the seven or to popular campers, the athena cabin added a crossword section...

things that I overlooked in PJO the first time / small, funny things I noticed during my reread
Part 2: Sea of Monsters
there is a lot this time.
this book is so short and it makes up for the length by being hilarious:
I had nightmares about what Poseidon might turn me into if I were ever on the verge of death - plankton, maybe. Or a floating patch of kelp.
Tyson froze. "Pony!" he cried in total rapture. Chiron turned looking offended. "I beg your pardon?"
"Um..." I said. "Would this be the super-dangerous prophecy that has me in it, but the gods have forbidden you to tell me about it? Nobody answered. "Right," I muttered. "Just checking."
"Uh, I like Hercules." "Why?" "Well, because he had rotten luck. Even worse than mine. It makes me feel better."
Annabeth looked at me. "We have to get out of here." "You think I want to be in the girls' restroom?" "I mean the ship, Percy! We have to get off the ship."
Tyson was terrified of them. All throughout the tour, he insisted Annabeth hold his hand, which she didn't look too thrilled about.
"Then why do the gods even let me live? It would be safer to kill me." "You're right." "Thanks a lot."
A minute later, Annabeth hit a slippery patch of moss and her foot slipped. Fortunately, she found something else to put it against. Unfortunately, that something was my face.
As Luke was raising his sword to rally his troops, a centaur shot a custom-made arrow with a leather boxing glove on the end. It smacked Luke in the face and sent him crashing into the swimming pool. and a few moments later: He [Luke] raised his sword, but got smacked in the face with another boxing glove arrow, and sat down hard in a deck chair. Luke can't catch a break from those boxing arrows, it's the funniest thing
2. also so much baby percabeth!! they’re so cute
She'd [Annabeth] emailed me the picture after spring break, and every once in a while I'd look at it just to remind myself she was real and Camp Half-Blood hadn't just been in my imagination. the fact that he printed out Annabeth's photo?
Annabeth punched him in the nose and knocked him flat, "And you," she told him, "lay off my friend." her standing up for Percy is adorable
I mean she [Annabeth] looked good. Really good. I probably would've been tongue-tied if I could say anything except reet, reet, reet.
She [Annabeth] started to sob - I mean horrible, heartbroken sobbing. She put her head on my shoulder and I held her. Fish gathered to look at us - a school of barracudas, some curious marlins. Scram! I told them. They swam off, but I could tell they went reluctantly. I swear I understood their intentions. They were about to start rumours flying around the sea about the son of Poseidon and some girl at the bottom of Siren Bay. number 1. the way percy is always there for her, number 2. the gossiping fish?? I love it
The look in his [Grover] eyes told me something was terribly wrong. Annabeth had been on guard duty that night, protecting the Fleece. If something had happened -he’s admirably protective, of not just annabeth, but all his friends and I love to see it… exhibit b:
"But if I [Grover] get in trouble again, you'll be in danger, Percy! You could die!" "If you get in trouble again, I want to know about it. And I'll come help you again G-man. I wouldn't have it any other way." I adore their friendship.
3. other mentions:
"I'm Thalia," the girl said. "Daughter of Zeus." what. an. ending. I still remember how floored I was when I first read this wow
the mention of Hylla got me so excited
am I the only one who forgot Percy could control the sailboat? like the flying ropes and whatnot
I also completely forgot about his watch shield!
I'll be back for part 3 shortly! :)

New camper: Percy Jackson x reader (daughter of apollo)
A/n: thank you so much for giving this a read! This is my first time writing for the PJO universe so let me know if you like it! Requests are open! No NSFW or Smut! Enjoy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good morning" Percy said tiredly, greeting his best friend Grover at the dining pavilion, taking a seat next to him.
"Morning" Grover replied, "hey did you see Annabeth on your way here? She's usually the first one here and I haven't seen her yet"
As if almost on cue she was walking towards the boys, an excited smirk painted across her face.
"Camp Half-Blood has a new camper!"
"What?!" replied Percy
"She showed up late last night, all alone. Chiron told me she had been hurt pretty badly but he took her into the infirmary and gave her some Ambrosia"
"She took it? So, she's definitely a half-blood?" Percy asked
"Yep! We should be meeting her later today" Annabeth was ecstatic, she loved new campers!
--time skip--
As the day went on there was still no sight of the new camper. Word had made its way around camp and people began to take their guesses as to who was her parent.
"I hope she's in our cabin!" A child of Aphrodite had said
"No! I bet she HAS to be in ours! Showing up without a Satyr by her side means she's a warrior"an Ares kid chimed
"As long as she's not in ours I dont care" a tired looking Hermes kid said.
It was almost dinner time when Chiron had found Percy, sparring with someone from the Ares cabin.
"Percy can I speak to you for a moment?"
"Yeah sure" he said, removing his helmet and recapping his sword.
"Im sure you've heard we've had a new camper join us."
"Yeah it's all over camp" he replied
"Ah yes. Well let's say she hasn't been thrilled to learn about her new family. Reminds me a lot of you when you first came here"
Percy thought back to his first few days at camp. He was confused, scared, angry, and very much overwhelmed.
"I was wondering if you could help ease her mind by speaking to her. You understand what she's feeling better than I can."
"And im not half horse" Percy smiled
"Yes there is that" Chiron chuckled
"Alright I want to meet her!" Percy agreed. He really did want to help, but he also knew how jealous Annabeth would be that he met her first. The two walked into the big house and there she was, staring down at her feet.
"Y/N, this is Percy, son of Poseidon. Percy this is Y/N. I'm sure you two will get long swimmingly" Chiron chuckled at his own joke, "I will give you two some privacy" with that, he left the room. Leaving the two teenagers alone.
An awkward silence filled the room, when finally Y/N broke the silence.
"Son of Poseidon, huh?" she asked
"That's me" he smiled, proud of the title he held.
"That's crazy, the gods don't exist!"
"They do exist. I know it all feels a bit insane at first but-"
"A bit?! My whole life i've had these things coming after me and I didn't understand why. I thought I was insane and seeing things, but apparently that's normal?! And my dad? The reason he's neglected me my whole life was because he was a god?! There's just no way"
"Hey, it's gonna be ok. I know how you feel. I felt like that when I first got here. All my life my dad wasn't someone I had thought about much because I had my mom, and thats all I needed. Then I find out that he's now the most important thing in my life? I had so many emotions, but if you just give this place a chance? I promise everything gets a lot less scary"
This seem to get to the girl. She started to tear up.
"Ok, i'll try." she whispered
"I'll show you around and it'll all be ok, I promise."
The two made their way around camp, Y/N was mostly silent. "The sun is so warm here, it's not like that where I'm from"
"Everything is a little bit stronger here."
"I can tell" she smiled
"So, do you have any idea who your dad might be?" Percy asked, careful not to poke at the sensitive subject.
"I think but I'm not sure. My mom used to talk about Apollo, a way she never did about other Gods"
"Ok then...then we have to find a way for him to see you! If he see's you, he'll claim you!"
"Yeah but how?"
"Gods dont claim you because they feel like it, you have to work for it" Annabeth said, inviting herself to the conversation.
"Y/N this is Annabeth, daughter of Athena"
"Hey" Y/n said
"Percy have you taken her to the archery field? Apollo kids thrive there"
"No I didn't"
"Seaweed brain c'mon!" Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Lets go" she led the two there and put a bow and arrow in Y/N's hands. The girl had fired it easily and hit the bullseye.
"Beginners luck?" y/n asked
"Go again" Chiron said, but before she could something came flying down at her, she shot it down easily.
"That could've killed us" Percy said, mouth agape, "and you shot it down with ease!" he said
"Look!" One of the campers said
Y/N was becoming engulfed in a bright light and a sun appeared over her head. She was now an official resident of cabin 7

Sometimes it was obvious from a distance when something was wrong with prey. But other times, you didn't know that there was something sickly about blood until after you'd drunk a deer-ful of it.
The heavy sensation of nausea was a familiar feeling. Astarion's old diet had never been what one might call hygienic. The rats of Baldur's Gate suffered from many blood born maladies. Repeated exposure had made him resistant to those, but the beasts of the wilds had exciting new diseases. One of which had him curled up in the corner of his tent, too dizzy to stand and wracked with cramps every hour or so.
He wanted to retch, but he didn't want to lose the blood and he was afraid of being ill too loudly. The others might hear and Lae'zel might make good on her promise. Was this bad blood or ceremorphosis? Can't be too careful and he wasn't in a position to object. You needed to be able to stand and see clearly to argue with a gith and a greatsword. Snicker-snack and then the party would just use magic to open locked chests.
That's how the world worked. Bad things happened when people saw that you were weak.

The pain waxed and waned. When it waned he dipped into fitful periods of meditation. Which was good. Unconsciousness passed the time. But it also meant that morning came as a surprise. He startled awake because someone was knocking on a tent pole.
"Rise and shine, Ancunin. Time to be the only vampire in the realms who's a morning person."
He twitched awake and up into a crouch, but then his catlike reflexes slammed into vertigo and made that into a graceless scrabble to half sitting up. All the movement woke his head to the fact that it was apparently supposed to be aching terribly. He groaned.
The person at the tent flap crouched down and peered inside. "Are you okay?"
It was Tav. That was workable. He had pull with Tav. He tried to compose a response. It needed to be casual, minimize this, and give an explanation that had nothing to do with mindflayers. It took far too long, but he came up with:
"I'm afraid I'm not up for adventure, darling. I ate something that disagreed with me. About more than just being eaten."
The cavalier words felt heavy on his tongue. He couldn't roll them off with the careless lilt they were supposed to come with. But he got it all out without mumbling at least.
"Got it," Tav said, peering in at him. "I don't know what spells she has today, but I could get Shadowheart to come over and…"
"No," Astarion snapped much more harshly than he meant to. "No, that's…that wouldn't work on this."
He actually wasn't sure, he'd never had access to someone with Restoration before, but he absolutely could not stand the idea of the imperious cleric looking down her nose at him huddled on the ground.
"Okay," Tav said immediately.
He couldn't see her clearly. The dizziness was still with him and made blurry multiples of anything he tried to focus on. Tav was a violet blotch rimmed in sunlight at the entrance to his tent. She wasn't immediately leaving, which made him nervous.
"What do you…" She started to ask something, but trailed off and turned it into a different question: "How does this work?"
Ah. She wanted to know when she'd have a functional rogue back. That was reasonable.
"It won't last more than a day," he assured her. Which wasn't necessarily true, but the pain wasn't acute anymore and after a day he'd be able to conceal whatever was left.
"Got it," Tav said again, a little more slowly this time.
And then she left. She'd gotten what she needed from him. That was good. He could rest again.
Astarion shifted slowly so that his back was to the back of the tent, flush with the rock wall it was pitched against. The acute pain was gone, thank the Gods, but he still felt nauseated in a way that made him want to crawl out of his skin. He closed his eyes and listened to people moving around the camp. He didn't want to lie down again until everyone else had settled down. The clatter and banter of a group leaving for the day was easy to track because Karlach was among them and she was excited about something. After that everything was quieter. He started to relax.
And then he wasn't relaxed anymore because there were footsteps next to his tent and a shape at the entrance.
"Hey. Can I come in?"
It wasn't Lae'zel. It was Tav again. And he was so relieved he told her "Yes." immediately without really thinking about it.
She ducked inside and sat down opposite him. Her arms were full of random things. It was like when she went around compulsively looting everything in a room, only she'd done it to the camp. Which was strange on multiple levels.
"You're still here?" Astarion asked, a little muddled. Tav never stayed at camp.
"Sure," she said easily, as if this were in any way normal. "Wyll and the girls are going looking for buried treasure. They don't need me for that."
That meant Lae'zel was gone, which was exceptionally good news for Astarion's ability to unclench his shoulders. Tav shifted her armful of nonsense to her lap and fished out a bottle. She uncorked it and held it out towards him.
"We don't have any antidotes left after that spider debacle, but Gale thought an infusion of mugwort would help," she explained.
Astarion took the bottle carefully. It smelled like grass. He supposed it couldn't do him any more harm, so he drank some. It tasted like ashes, but so did everything that wasn't blood. It at least didn't make him feel worse, so he drank some more.
Tav deposited the rest of her burden, which consisted of pillows, a sleeping mat and a blanket.
"When I'm sick all I want to do is be surrounded by soft things," she explained. "So I grabbed a bunch of soft things. Do you want them?"
Yes. Of course he wanted them. He had a general policy of wanting all of the things. It was just perplexing when he didn't have to steal them. The blanket was the very nice sheepskin one Tav had decided to go back into a burning building to rescue after she'd finished saving all the people.
(After the fourth time she'd ducked back inside to save sausages of all things Lae'zel started howling that the tadpole had eaten her brain. She and Shadowheart had joined forces to literally drag Tav away as the tiefling argued animatedly that there were still potato wedges in the kitchen. It had been very funny.)
Then an explanation sidled into his head, illuminating his confusion--this was about the sex. People in alleged relationships did all sorts of odd and particular things for each other. He'd forgotten.
She'd asked him a question, hadn't she? He hadn't answered. He'd been running his fingers over the very soft sheepskin. Now he'd been quiet for too long and now the silence stretched out strangely. He didn't quite know what to fill it with.
Tav broke it with another question: "Would you like me to stay?"
He really wasn't sure. He didn't want to perform. That was so tiring. But it felt safer to have a body between him and the outside world right now. When he wasn't sure he could stand and definitely couldn't stab anything worth a damn. He had pull with Tav. She didn't want him to die.
It was really such a nice thing, to have someone else care that you were alive.
"Do as you will," is how he managed to respond.
She stayed. She helped him lay out the extra mat so that it lay straight on his usual one. She cleared away a pile of books and didn't comment or even look at him when he swayed slightly, or somehow stumbled despite the fact he wasn't even standing.
She ended up sitting cross-legged next to the entrance, looking out and fiddling with a lyre. The one she'd stolen from that drow they'd killed. Astarion had shifted the sleeping mats so that he could lie down with his back to the comforting solidity of stone. He had two pillows and the sheepskin blanket. He thought the mugwort might be helping because the heavy feeling of illness had gentled from claw-skin-off-to-distract-yourself-bad to just deeply unpleasant.
He rested. It was easier now. He even drifted off at one point. He closed his eyes and when he opened them the sunlight was slanting in a different way and Tav had picked up one of his books.
"Hey," she said, noticing he was awake. "Can I touch your forehead?"
Random sort of a question. But fine. Astarion made an indifferent noise that could be interpreted as assent. Then he went very still because she was touching his forehead and that was…odd.
"You don't have a fever," Tav observed.
Astarion pursed his lips. Now that he didn't have to concentrate on sitting up, he could inject just the correct amount of condescending archness into saying: "That would require having a body temperature."
There was a pause.
"Right," Tav said, sounding duly chastened.
"Don't quit your day job, darling."
She laughed. "And here I had my heart set on becoming a vampire nursemaid."
He snorted at her. Her fingers hadn't left his forehead, and when they did they curled away slowly. Trailing through his hair in a lingering way that made him very aware when the touch was gone. She went back to reading his book.
He felt better. Almost normal, as long as he stayed still. And he didn't need to move, right now. The camp was quiet. The only things he could hear were birds and the scrape of paper as Tav turned pages.
This was…nice?
This was nice.

Kaveh | Over The Shattered Glass
ıllı Synopsis: Blood seeped through the ground, and Kaveh could only see red. Will he be able to mend the relationship he broke with his own hands?
ıllı Genre: Romance, Slight Angst
ıllı Notes: Gender Neutral Reader, Polyamorous Relationship
ıllı Warning: Blood, Depression
ıllı Parts: Behind The Stained Glass (Part 1), Under The Glistening Glass (Alternate Ending)
ıllı A/N: I finally finished the sequel! I enjoyed writing it, but explaining the perspective of each character was difficult! I hope I was able to give this justice. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Life had been hectic for you and Kaveh, barely seeing each other for days due to your busy schedules. The Akademiya had commissioned him to assist in constructing homes for desert people in Caravan Ribat and, hopefully, extending the project to Aaru Village and abled camps. On the other hand, you oversaw the talks between the Eremites and the Akademiya while taking on jobs from the Temple of Silence. Only recently were you able to get the vacation you deserved.
'And the best way to spend it is with Kaveh. I can't wait to see his surprised face once I visit him!' You giddily thought, excitement coursing through your veins as you held the small bouquet and briefcase in your arms.
It took half an hour to reach Alhaitham and Kaveh's shared home. Vendors greeted you as you walked past them, offering goods which you bantered to buy after your visit. Once you reached their house, you knocked on the door. Rustles and loud banging could be heard, and when the door opened, you saw Kaveh's disheveled look. Dread filled your being, and by the looks of the bites and kiss marks that littered his neck and chest, you were not far from the truth.
"I—“ The words you tried to form were stuck in your throat, and you could feel your eyes well up. Kaveh merely stood there, frozen. He was not expecting you to visit him. Just then, another figure appeared from behind. It was Alhaitham, and he was in a similar state as your lover. You put two and two together and forced a smile.
"I see. I-I just came to give you something. I'm sorry for intruding." You dropped your gifts on the ground and swiftly trudged away from the two. Kaveh strived to hold you for a moment and explain, but the moment he touched you, hydro energy surrounded you and whipped his hand away. Tears streamed down your cheeks, unable to hold them for long. The blond tried to stutter an explanation, but the betrayal you felt was immense.
"J-Just stop. Please just stop! I thought you were any different, but you—And with the roommate you hated too. Was this a fun game to you, Kaveh?" You joked, anger lacing your words. He was taken aback by your remarks, guilt catching up to him.
Kaveh was ashamed. He could not look you in the eyes. More like he did not want to. He was afraid to see you judge him any further, but it was also his fault for giving in to temptation. He could only do one thing to keep you both from hurting any further.
"It's my fault. I think this is where we should part ways, (Y/N). I... It means that we're not just for each other." He muttered. Your body shook in anger, but you took a deep breath and glared at Kaveh and Alhaitham.
"I hate you so much, Kaveh." You uttered, leaving him for good.
You failed to see Kaveh slump to the ground the moment you left. Tears poured down his eyes as he tried to reach for your disappearing figure. Alhaitham, finally out of his stupor, tried to pull his roommate back to their house. The Kshahrewar architect wanted to push him away, but the Scribe whispered that things would escalate if they did not leave the street soon.
Kaveh forced himself to stand, stumbling upon losing energy after what transpired. He noticed your gifts, a bouquet of birds of paradise and a familiar briefcase. He took them inside and opened the case, only to see new tools for his work. You were thinking of him, even from far away, when you were not together.
Kaveh lost it.
Tumblr media
What happened days prior felt like a fever dream. Sharply, a distinct sound of glass shattering echoed inside the hut, and a broken flask laid before you. As you lifelessly picked up the fragments of the equipment, your mind failed to register the cuts it brought. The floor, the walls, and even the the person you were talking with were painted in dull colors. It made life unbearable, and it felt like fate was mocking you by the numbness you felt as blood dripped down the floor. It was hypnotizing.
Suddenly, your hand was pulled up, and a familiar shade of emerald green and earthy brown eyes stared at you. There was fear and worry etched in Tighnari’s eyes, but you were too exhausted to think about it. Fading away felt more compelling, heavenly even. It distracted your mind from the debilitating world.
“Don’t waste your life like this, (Y/N). It’s painful to see you like this, hiding away from everyone, from the world. Talk to us. Let us be your strength.” Tighnari whimpered, breaking at the sight of your lifeless eyes. It was easier said than done. Yet at the back of your mind, you wondered if you could truly bury all the memories and feelings you shared with him to move on.
“I don’t know what to do anymore, Tighnari. I-It’s difficult to get up every day. Everything I do, see or feel reminds me of Kaveh. Even staying here pains me. I want to scream at him, punch him, and blame him, but he must have his reasons, right? Please tell me….” You cried, clutching his jacket.
The fennec fox gently pulled you toward him and carried you to his bed. He asked for your hand, which you obediently gave. The blood had already dried, but he made sure to clean the wound and bandage it properly. Once done, he cradled you in his arms and let his fingers run on your hair. His brotherly instincts were activated.
“Kaveh has been stressed ever since you left. There were times that he would drink his frustrations and sorrows away. He told me he did not wish to burden you, and— I’m not supposed to say this, but he’s been reflecting on his sexual interest.” Tighnari muttered, eyes glazing over to your figure for reaction. A hint of understanding was etched on your face as you leaned on his chest for comfort.
“He started liking Alhaitham but did not want to hurt me. Am I right?” You replied. The Forest Watcher nodded.
Kaveh was overly connected with his emotions, often running on them to make decisions. It was one of the traits you loved about him. Still, it did not erase the fact that what he did destroyed your trust in him. Every day felt like it was better to drown in misery. Cyno, Collei, and Tighnari did not let that happen. You were their precious friend (maybe family at this point).
“You have the right to be angry, hurt, and every negative emotion available. But, (Y/N), you must realize that there is more to life than him. If Sumeru City is suffocating you right now, how about going to the desert for a while with Cyno? He suggested this. Don’t worry, he will not let Kaveh near you while you’re there. You can get away for now, and when you’re ready to face it, we’re always here to support you.” He whispered. Shifting around, you gave Tighnari a hug, one that resembled the warmth they gave you. You might not heal completely, but you were now willing to take the step.
“Thank you.”
Tumblr media
After completing his project for the Akademiya, Kaveh was left to his own devices. Every day, he would stare at the flowers in his vase and wallow in misery. When the moon rose, he would sit at Lambad’s Tavern, often at secluded tables. Drink after drink, he let himself drown in grief. His crimson eyes would be rimmed red, and passersby would hear him mutter apologies. It was pitiful, really.
“I’m sorry… P-Please come back, (Y/N)… I m-miss you… I’m sorry.” He muttered. It was one of the nights he did not go to Lambad’s Tavern to drink but instead spent his time under the solemn eyes of the forest. He grabbed another cup to down as he watched the sky where thousands of stars twinkled. It reminded him of the stargazing you two had done in the past.
Kaveh stared at the night sky, reminiscing about you. He did not bother to check the rustles from behind as he knew it was Alhaitham. The Scribe silently sat beside him, noting the unhealthy bottles beside the architect. He could see his swollen eyes and unkempt hair. Kaveh was once again spiraling, but he understood why. After all, it was partially his fault that the relationship between you three was in shambles. He wished to mend it, something unusual for him to do.
“(Y/N), what are they like? I only know a few about them from Tighnari and Cyno, not to mention the short visits they make at home.” He asked. It was unsure if it was the alcohol in his system that urged him to humor the scribe, but he did.
“They’re amazing. They loved with all their heart. I was charmed by their kindness, humility, and strange wit. If you don’t know, I met them after being scammed for mora again. They chased down the scammer and scolded them before guiding them to a place where they could get help. I got my money back, but they also reprimanded me for being blind to my compassion. Then, I met them again through Cyno. They fought with elegance and ferocity that they shined brightly.” Kaveh rambled, his eyes twinkling at every memory.
Alhaitham smiled at his stories. Kaveh was madly in love with you despite his confusion over his sexual interest. He admitted that he was partially jealous of how the blond glorified you, but the scribe realized that deep within him, he also found you lovely. The first time he met you was during your first visit to his—their house. You were unsure, fidgety under his stare because you thought you had the wrong place. Kaveh checked out the door and saw you. The blond scolded Alhaitham for scaring you, but you told him it was nothing to fuss over.
“It’s nice to finally meet his roommate. Thank you for tolerating Kaveh, Alhaitham. I… Did I pronounce your name right?” You asked. As strange as it was, the ashen-haired male was frozen in his spot, but he found his momentum and gave you a curt nod. You smiled again and raised your arms to gift them your special dish. It was a lovely day at that time.
“Do you regret what happened between us?” Alhaitham reluctantly asked. Kaveh took a deep breath before letting out a shaky sigh.
“No, never. I told you about everything that night, but I also love them. You both exist equally inside me.” Kaveh confessed. He poured wine into his cup and gave it to Alhaitham, who downed it. The sounds of night critters filled the silence between them. Slowly, Kaveh felt himself drift to dreamland. He welcomed it with open arms, especially since it was the only place he could see your smile and not the hateful words that haunted him at every turn of the day.
Once he was asleep, Alhaitham cleaned up after him and carried him home. He tucked him in his bed and was about to leave when he heard him mutter your name. It strengthened his resolve. That is why two days later, you found yourself in front of the scribe in Pardis Dhyai.
“What do you want from me, Alhaitham? I can’t believe you coaxed Cyno into meeting me.” You scoffed, crossing your arms at the audacity. His teal eyes stared at your form first, noting the exhaustion on your face. You must have also been mulling over this heartbreak for a long time.
“I’m grateful you accepted my invitation to discuss matters with me. I’m sure you’re already aware it’s about your relationship with Kaveh—“ He was prolonging the talk, unlike him. You sighed internally before taking a step to silence him with a finger to his lips.
“Relax, just get to the point.” It was ironic of him to suddenly feel nervous, but he did. He sat down and suggested that you do the same, as it might take a while. You obliged. A tense atmosphere enveloped you two, but you were ready to be civilized, even just for a little bit.
Alhaitham told you that Kaveh had been living his life in anguish, regretting the day he broke up with you. He recalled the amount of wine he consumed almost daily if not for him pulling it away from his hands. You listened intently to his words. Both of you were suffering, but Kaveh also needed time away from you. Time to truly understand what he wanted in his life.
“Alhaitham, that dummy is dear to you, right? Could you tell him this? ‘Let go. Find yourself first. Once you do, come back and tell us what you want.’ Both you and I know he’s the type to mull over his emotions. We need to let him figure it out first.” You commented. The scribe was silenced for once. He was aware of the budding relationship between you three, but nothing will happen with the vagueness lingering in the boundaries you all held up.
“(Y/N), I’m sorry.” Alhaitham muttered. You gave him a pained smile. His affair with Kaveh was still fresh, and how he let it happen was like a jab in your side.
“I understand that rationality must have left your minds in that spur of the moment, but it was still stupid of you, Alhaitham. Borderline insane. You are attractive, but why Kaveh? Why the person I gave my whole heart to?” You asked.
“Strange, right? I love him at the same time as you did. For the better lack of term, he was the mirror I envied, and you were the enigma that brought out the beautiful emotions I craved from him. The way he talked about you made me fall for you as well. I’m so messed up.” He confessed. This was the first time you saw his vulnerability. It was so out of character for an objective person like him. But he once said that emotions get the best of people. It was this one time he let himself embrace that fact.
The atmosphere was dead once again. Only the chirp from the birds could be heard against the wind. With a sigh, you stood up and walked towards Alhaitham.
“I… will be leaving for the desert for a while. I asked the Lesser Lord for time to sort out my problems. It may seem unprofessional to take this route, but I also want time for myself. Thank you for talking to me, Alhaitham. I appreciate it.” You were about to leave when he grabbed your wrist. He had a conflicted face before he pulled you down to whisper something.
“What…?”
Tumblr media
As if waking up from a dream, you found yourself standing mindlessly in front of a mirror. There was only darkness around, but you were not afraid. Turning your attention back to the mirror, you saw its reflection. It was the ‘you’ from months ago. The one who found life dull and dying.
“It’s good that I finally found you, (Y/N). You buried your consciousness so far from the surface. A soft voice uttered. There was Lesser Lord Kusanali behind you.
“My Lord, what do you mean?” Your memories were a bit muddled. After the barrage of memories, the present ones were fragmented. The Dendro Archon helped recall what occurred by pointing at the mirror.
An intense fight erupted between you and the Fatui during your trip to the Fane of Parvaje. Just before subjugating the leader, you were caught off guard by a poisoned arrow coming for Kaveh. You brought him down, but it hit your sides. As much as you hid it from him, the poison was too much to bear.
“I see. So, am I dead now?” You joked. Kusanali shook her head, but she said you were on the border of it. Tipping just a little, you would have lost your life. The flashback of memories now made sense.
“What are you going to do now, (Y/N)? Will you run away again, or will you face what made you leave Sumeru City in the first place?” She bluntly asked. It made you internally laugh at her unfiltered question.
“I found my answer, My Lord. Thank you for letting me see those for the last time.” You smiled. Kusanali grabbed your hand and guided you to the light.
“They’ve been waiting for you.” She commented, happy about your decision.
Tumblr media
“(Y/N)!”
“Kaveh! Stop spacing, or you’ll lose them for good this time.”
“I-I’m sorry. You’re right.”
“Follow me.”
‘Please, (Y/N). I haven’t told you what I want yet!’
That cruel memory lingered in Kaveh’s mind. He could still feel the amount of blood trickling down your side and the sight of the purplish skin that tainted the wound. It was a miracle that they got you to Bimarstan immediately before the poison could kill you. However, it had been a week, and you showed no sign of waking up. Considering the high poison dosage, the doctor assured him it would take time for your body to recover.
Kaveh remained by your side, not bothering to change his clothes stained with your blood. It was only when Alhaitham came and scolded him did he go home to shower. He came back to watch over your bedside, barely taking care of himself. He cradled your hand and prayed to the dendro archon for your recovery.
Alhaitham would come over after his shift, bringing food for Kaveh. He stayed not just for the architect but for you as well. The last conversation with you strengthened his resolve, and he wished to tell you that. As for Cyno and Tighnari, they visited the first week thrice. When the Forest Watcher saw the architect and the scribe, he felt anger bubble in his stomach. He would slip insults every time they struck up a conversation with him. It was until Tighnari had enough and confronted them. Guilt and shame flooded their senses, but they assured the fennec fox that they were there to correct their mistakes and tell you what they wanted.
“You better not fuck this up. They’d been nothing but considerate to the two of you. If I ever see them cry again, know that the forest will not be kind to you.” He threatened. Knowing Tighnari’s protective nature, he was dead serious about his warning.
A week and a half later, you finally woke up. The rattan ceiling of Bimarstan was recognizable, and you concluded that Kaveh and Cyno succeeded in carrying you here to get help. You tried to get up despite the weakness in your bones, only to feel a weight beside you. Kaveh was slumped on his chair, snoozing away. Heavy bags decorated the rim of his eyes.
‘He must have had sleepless nights. You dummy. You could have gone home, and they could send you a letter.’ You reached for his cheeks and caressed them lightly. It made you smile at the way his nose wrinkled. It was too cute to pass up.
“Hmm? What? (Y/N), you’re finally awake! I…” He was at a loss for words. You reached for his cheeks and stretched them.
“You could have gone home, Kaveh. It would have been more comfortable sleeping on your bed than here.” You nagged. Your eyes met his crimson eyes, which widened at the sight of tears streaming down them. He clutched your hands and thanked the archons. It must have been rough for him as it had been with you.
After his outburst, he gave you a glass of water to drink. Your throat had been parched for some time now, so his actions were greatly appreciated. He wanted to say something, but he fathomed that having the doctor check on you first was better.
“The wound is healing well. Yesterday, the results came back negative. The poison has been flushed out of your system, but your body will still need a few days to heal. We will keep you here for three more days before discharging you, Miss (Y/N).” The doctor said. You sighed in relief. You did not want to remain in the hospital anymore. You appreciated their work, but Bimarstan was just not your cup of tea.
The doctor left, and Kaveh was left under your gaze once again. He was fidgeting, unsure where to start. You wished to comfort him, but a sneeze abruptly escaped your lips. He blinked at the cute sound, making him chuckle. You blushed and covered your face at the embarrassment.
“That was too cute~ Hahaha! (Y/N), first of all, thank you. You saved my life back there, and you even made sure that everybody was safe. That was heroic of you, too kind even. I also… want to thank you for leaving those words. It gave me hope, so I strived to understand my feelings. I came to a conclusion during our travel. It made me realize that I still love you, but I also love Alhaitham. You’re both precious to me. Call me greedy, but that’s what I am right now. I’m sorry for hurting your feelings back then. I was perplexed and did not understand that liking him was normal. You know how aggravating Alhaitham can be. He’s an idiot, hardheaded, self-centered—“ He rambled. It made you smile internally.
“You’re going off the topic, Kaveh.” You interjected with a deadpan look. He blushed and coughed out the awkwardness.
“Ahem. I mean, he’s all that, yes. But then, I also saw a different side of him that people never got to see past his cold demeanor. He expresses his kindness and affection in strange ways. I slowly fell in love with that. I hope… I hope I could answer what you wished me to do back then.” Kaveh anticipated your answer.
It was nice to hear Kaveh’s honesty after months of separation. Despite the pain of the past, it was time to let that go. Holding his right hand, you tightly held it.
“I understand. I’m still unsure about this decision, but I will let us go, Kaveh.” You uttered with a solemn smile. The architect was frozen in his spot. He thought you would give him another chance, but he was too greedy. Unknowingly, he teared up at the thought of you leaving again. You were surprised, taken aback at his misery.
“Anyone would confuse your words for something else, (Y/N). You should clear that up quickly.” Alhaitham mused. You blinked at his sudden appearance before realizing that Kaveh got it all wrong. It made you laugh.
Kaveh wiped his eyes and looked at you two in confusion. The scribe merely shook his head before sitting on the other side of your bed. You told the blond about Alhaitham's suggestion months ago to enter a polyamorous relationship. It took you time to accept it, but you did not want to let the Kshahrewar graduate slip from your fingers again. Kaveh blushed at your words.
“So… you mean, you’re all right entering into a polyamorous relationship? With Alhaitham and me?” Kaveh asked, yearning to confirm if he was not dreaming about it.
You and Alhaitham lightly laughed at his relieved face. Suddenly, the scribe held your hand and asked you a question.
“Will you let me court you as well, (Y/N)?” His gentle smile made you flushed, while Kaveh whined that he was the first one who should court you. The scribe merely scoffed and pulled out bouquets of bird of paradise for the two of you.
“It looks like we will be courting each other. Hahaha! This is a bit amusing.” You grinned, eyes glazing lovingly at the flowers Alhaitham gave. What a beautiful meaning this flower carried.
“Then, I’ll be in your care, Kaveh, Alhaitham.” You voiced. They stopped their bickering and smiled at your beaming face. They held your hands and kissed them, a silent promise to keep this new relationship solid and undying.

Angsty Jason prompt: dealing with Leo's death. And then the hurricane of emotions when Jason realized he wouldn't see his best friend again before he sacrificed himself for piper/apollo.
Author's note: I'm so sorry this took so long @obsessingoverl omg I was in a writer's block! But I hope you enjoy anyways, thanks for requesting :)
Every single fucking thing reminded Jason of him.
The fire crackling in Campfires.
The screwdrivers laying around on the table.
The Nintendo switch at the big house.
Even the food at camp half blood feasts.
Everything simply narrowed down to Leo Valdez.
Was this how it felt like to go insane? If that's the case, then Jason Grace had already crossed that path. He was beyond insane. His nightmares were plagued with images of the explosion that killed Leo Valdez. The booming noise, the burst of spreading flames that must've set Leo ablaze. Gods. Jason didn't want to think about it. But he realized that Leo died, the same way his mother had died too. Engulfed in flames.
So when Jason found out that he was going to die as well, in a few minutes in battle, he was hit with a wave of gut-wrenching emotions.
He was always hopeful that Leo was out there somewhere, screaming “I'm the bad boy supreme” grinning with his typical latino elf demeanor. He had always held on to the hope that Leo would come back riding on Festus, yelling “I GOT Y'ALL GOOD DIDN'T I?? Did ya miss me Superman??” That's just Leo on a normal day, and Jason would've curled up into a ball, cringing at his antics, albeit fondly. But right now? Jason would've killed for Leo to do that again.
He would've killed to be pranked by Leo again
He would've killed to play Mario party six on Nintendo switch in the big house with Leo again.
He would've killed to taste Leo's food again.
He would've killed to see Leo make random things out of metal as gifts, for Jason again.
He would've killed to listen to Leo's corny jokes again.
Recalling all of these things, Jason was hit with the realization that he would die, never getting to see Leo Valdez again.
But Jason had another thread of hope to hang on to, it was thin, but it was still there. If Leo was indeed dead, that means he's probably in Elysium, right? And if Jason dies too, then he'd also go to Elysium.. Jason would see Leo again after all, right?
Wrong.
After Jason Grace's death, He was judged in the fields of asphodel, and was sentenced to go to Elysium, Jason's soul was vibrating with excitement. Once he reached the golden paradise of Elysium, his soul floated around, yelling for Leo's name. He saw so many hero's spirits floating around in the Paradise, but where was Leo? For the love of Jupiter. Where. Was. Leo. Valdez?
Jason Grace realized, with a pang, looking at all these other drifting souls, that if his curly haired friend was not amongst them causing a ruckus, it could only mean one thing.
That Leo Valdez was alive after all. Jason had simply not lived to see him.

I dare you - Leo V x gn child of Nike/Reader
part one
┈┈┈┈┈◦•✩•◦┈┈┈┈┈
It wasn’t his fault. Really, it wasn’t.
How would Leo have known that challenging a child of Nike would turn out badly for him?
It wasn’t his fault they’d been so cocky, crossing their arms across their chest and doing that thing where they stick their chin up in the air slightly and stare him down with a raised eyebrow. It was infuriating… It was also really hot, but that wasn’t the point.
They had that ‘I'm better than you and I know it’ look in their glimmering eyes, so of course Leo had to smirk back at them and say, ‘prove it’.
That was how he found himself trying to work out the difference between a gold tipped spear and a double bladed spear in the weapons shed. Honestly, he didn’t know nor did he want to know all the different ways he could gut someone, but it was either hide in the musty wooden shed or become one of those gutted people. Leo wasn’t exactly a combat fighter, but he had dug himself into this hole, and he had to do something about it.
He doubted anyone else was awake, and if it was up to him he’d walk back across the dewy grass and hop back into his warm bed. But then he thought of the satisfied look they’d get on their face, and he grabbed the least scary looking spear off the rack and took a deep breath.
Once he’d made it over to the arena, they were already standing there, wearing the basic orange Camp Half-Blood shirt paired with black tracksuits, and… adidas sneakers, Leo noticed with a chuckle. When they made eye contact, his hand grew sweaty and he nearly dropped the spear, only just managing to catch it and not make a fool of himself. Yet.
Curse his stupid stubbornness and need to prove himself.
“C’mon Valdez, you chickening out already?”
“Nuh uh,” he muttered, sticking his tongue out at the way too excited for someone who woke up before the sun did, child of Nike. “You’re the chicken.”
Not his best work, he had to admit. Leo’s breath formed a cloud in the cold air, and he bounced on the balls of his feet, feeling anxiety growing in his gut. There was no way he could get out of it now, so he just had to put up a good fight. And hope the small crowd already gathering would go away.
Jason gave him a pathetic looking thumbs up and Piper just took out her vintage camcorder, the one Shel had bought her a while ago, with a smirk. When he glared at her, she brushed one plait over her shoulder and mouthed back, ‘you’re fucked.’
The rest of the Nike cabin [which was only really the twins] had come over too, elbowing each other as they ran to get the highest seat in the stands. They didn’t seem to have any worrie about the outcome of the dual, which only made Leo more sure of how, in Pipers words, fucked he was. He was briefly distracted by his inevitable death when his opponent twirled their golden tipped spear, the weapon of Nike herself, around a few times. “Are you gonna keep staring, or you gonna fight me?”
Leo knew which one of those options he preferred, and with a gulp, he did the opposite. The spear was heavy in his hands and the canvas grip shifted around awkwardly. “Fight you, obviously. What else would I be here for?”
“I dunno, maybe my stunningly good looks?” They pushed up multiple coloured bracelets from where they sat around their wrists, and moved quickly into a fighting stance, the spear tilted in a way that made the tip gleam in the only just rising sun.
He gulped, and tried to copy their stance. They had already pounced at him, a wicked grin on their lips as the sound of metal clanging together echoed through the arena. He winced and took a few steps back, adjusting his grip as he tried to hold his defense. “Ah shit.”
Dust was churned up in their wake, and he lost count of how many times they spun circles around him. They poked and prodded with their spear. His only option was to jab randomly with his own, blocking the attacks pitifully.
He ran out of breath quickly. Someone called out something in the distance. A stitch formed in his side. His misused weapon went flying, and landed meters away when a particular twist of the gold tipped spear caught him off guard.
Then there was a dull jab behind his leg and something hard slammed into him from behind with no warning.
Electric volts of pain shot up his spine, and his breath decided to leave as quickly as his pride when he realized he was already on the sawdust-y ground. An ache was growing in the base of skull as he gasped for breath, his lungs being squeezed by invisible hands. He was prodded in the chest, and he half expected to see Will Solace frowning above him with a defibrillator in hand.
Instead his crossed eyes were met with a spear tip and a smirk. Leo groaned and threw his head back, which only made the pain worse. He raised a hand over his eyes to block them from the assault of the sun, “okay, okay, you won.”
His opponent, with their stupid cocky grin and an eyebrow piercing he’d never noticed before, bent down and put a hand flecked with scars around their ear. “Pardon me, what was that?”
He glared back at them as they stood above, holding their spear out lazily as the tip rested on his heaving chest, probably poking a hole in the orange shirt he wore on top of his white long sleeve. Apparently his spite only made it all the more funny, because he got another held tilt. “What made you think you could beat someone literally born of strength, speed, and victory, of all things?”
Then to his surprise, was offered a hand up.
“Uhm, thanks.” He blinked, and then took the offer, brushing sawdust and sand off himself.
They nodded at him in return and retrieved his long lost spear, holding it under their arm as they made their way back over. Leo ignored the exaggerated cheers on his behalf coming from where his friends sat.
“Why did you say you could fight?” He was asked, while they grabbed their water bottle. It had a few faded converse logo stickers on it. “You obviously can’t, why’d you challenge me?”
Their tone wasn’t even rude or overly confident, like it had been a moment before, and Leo realized they were genuinely curious. He shrugged, hands in his pockets as they carried the spears back over to the weapon shed.
He followed them, “you would too, wouldn’t you?”
They thought for a moment, a little crease between their eyebrows that he sort of wanted to smooth out. “I suppose I would, but that’s sort of my whole thing, isn’t it? Beating people, taking up every dare, following through with every idea or thought i’ve ever had, never backing down from a challenge because otherwise it’ll kill me… complaining about my OCD.”
Leo might be bad at social interactions, but even he could see the little admission slipped in the end there, and he figured it’d probably be kinder to not mention it.
“It won’t actually kill you?” He tried not to let worry slip into his voice. “Will it?”
“Not physically… Not that I know of.” They opened the swinging wooden gate to the weapons shed, letting a stream of light into the dusty little room. They waved a hand absently, like that would explain what they were trying to say. “What I mean, is like, I'd never let it go. It’d just sit in the back of my head until I die, telling me that I should’ve done it, that I'll never live it down.”
“Must be exhausting.”
“When I was eight, Butch asked me to fill in for his shift cleaning the stables. I said no, because I wanted to make friendship bracelets with Drew instead.” They took a deep breath. “I didn’t go to sleep that night, because it was all I could think about. I snuck out that night to clean the stables, even though Butch had had to do it anyway, but..I just.. I had to do it.
They pointed at their bicep, and Leo had to draw his eyes away from their muscles and back to the long jagged scars stretching from their elbow to where they disappeared to underneath the sleeve of the orange top.
“The Harpy’s found me.”
Leo’s stomach dropped down to his scuffed shoes, his breath catching. He couldn’t imagine thoughts spiraling so much they’d get you injured. His voice sounded too hollow to convey his emotions when he spoke. “Oh…that, like, really sucks…. You can’t do anything about it?”
“Me, Holly, and Laurel all have medication now, but it only just takes the edge off it. Upside is, I don’t break pinky promises, I guess.” They didn’t look over at him, just stacked the spears up on the rack in the correct order, and then picked up a stray shield from the ground and popped it back onto the hooks jutting from the walls.
Then their eyes widened, the white of them showing as if they only just realized how open they were being. “Anyway, uh, maybe don’t try challenging anyone else at a duel again.”                                                        They cleared their throat and moved to the door, grabbing the rusty lock off the little shelf. Part of it fell out of place and onto the ground with a small thud.
The way the poor lock was being glared at, it could’ve killed someone. Leo picked it up gently, hoping not to lose any of the small parts. “Oh, I can just-”
“You don’t think I can use a screwdriver?” He was asked with narrowed eyes as he pulled a few tools out of his belt. Even his nimble fingers couldn’t fix something this old and broken.
Leo shrugged, holding his hands up in defense. “I didn’t think fixing things is your area of expertise, but if-”
“Okay, you’re on.”
He shook his head, not wanting to rope the child of Nike into a challenge that’d rot in their brain and force them to go through with it. “Wait! No that wasn’t a challenge, you don’t have to-”
They shook their head back at him just as quickly, folding their arms like that would seal the deal. The way they looked down at Leo made him want to agree with anything they said though, so maybe they did have some reasoning behind it. “Tomorrow, the forgery, I'm gonna beat you.”
“At what?” He scoffed, fiddling with the lock in his hands, and pulling one of the wires back into place. Then he pulled the screwdriver back out of his toolbelt and screwed the bolt back. “Building?”
“Exactly.”
“Well if you’re gonna make it a thing, you can’t host a competition like this in the forge, we’re going to bunker nine.” He said back, jutting his chin out as they moved him out of the way and shut the door behind them.
He passed them the fixed lock, as they stuck their tongue out at him. “You’re on, Valdez.”

"A wet WindClan cat? I never thought I'd see the day." "I've been brushing up. Did you see how I almost had that fish?" "I did! But you're gonna have to keep working. Remember I managed to snag a rabbit on the moor the last time we met up, so I'm winning." "Smirk all you want, but I'll be more excited to see your face when I finally do nab that sucker!" "Hehe, I look forward to it."
Skyheart and Pigeonflight because I'm still mad about Leopardstar's Honor.
More info under the cut, plus mini rant.
Skyheart is not a bully who almost kills Leopardfur, her being turned into that character after she was so excited to have a sister and be there for Leopardkit in Crookedstar's Promise is another piece in the failure that was Leopardstar's Honor.
Anyway, to maintain Leopardstar being the spoiled and doted on RiverClan child after her mother dies, she's very close with her adoptive littermates Skyheart and Blackclaw. This was a bustling time for RiverClan, with many apprentices and even more kits on the way. Leopardfur and Skyheart often competed for the leader position in their games as kits, and saw each other as friendly rivals when little.
Skyheart is an adventurous and daring cat, and that bold nature led her to dabbling with a WindClan cat, and falling in love. Even though it was against the code, they continued to do so, and Skyheart fell pregnant with kits. Leopardfur picked up on this and questioned who the father was, Skyheart refusing to say - much to the surprise of Leopardfur. After all, they told each other everything. At this time Blackclaw and Mistyfoot were flirting, Skyheart was expecting - Leopardfur threw herself more into her duties as she saw not interested in romance or having kits. Nothing against those who did, but that just wasn't where her aspirations lay. Unlike Skyheart who began to focus on other things, Leopardfur never stopped dreaming of being leader, and she was spoiled and readied to be just that. Even as an adult she was sought after and praised, her RiverClan family providing her endless love. She was spoiled, but she really did love her clan and want to do her best for them.
However, Skyheart would disappear in the night, and the loyal Leopardfur was beginning to get suspicious. She followed Skyheart one night and discovered the truth, enraged that her clanmate would do such a thing. The bold Skyheart told Leopardfur to back off and mind her business, but Leopardfur threatened to expose Skyheart to Crookedstar unless she ended things with Pigeonflight. The two adoptive sisters screamed and argued, but eventually Skyheart settled down with a sigh, and agreed.
Too bad she lied.
Leopardfur had thought all was well until she caught Skyheart sneaking out again a different night. As the two began to argue again though, Skyheart would feel contractions, and realize her kits were coming. Much to Leopardfur's horror, her dear friend was giving birth, and Leopardfur didn't know the first thing about herbs. She didn't want to leave her friend alone to go back to camp, but she also didn't know how to handle this. Seeing the squabbling bundles of fur, Leopardfur panicked, especially when Skyheart didn't stop bleeding...
Skyheart died giving birth to those half-clan kits. The smell of blood was putrid, and led the searching Pigeonflight right to them. He was horrified to see his mate having died giving birth to his kits, crumbling before her as he tried to comfort the two little ones, but could barely even comfort himself. Alas in the haze of grief and shock, Leopardfur would simply stare as Pigeonflight sadly took the two kits back to WindClan.
When RiverClan learned this they were horrified. There were mixed feelings grieving Skyheart, but Leopardfur and Blackclaw were much the same in their sentiments - it was the fault of that WindClan cat that Skyheart got mixed up in this. Those half-clan kits killed her, a curse from StarClan and a punishment on her life. This was one of the pivotal moments of disgust Leopardfur would have for half-clan cats, and furthermore cats outside of her beloved RiverClan.

stew and camping. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ oc x male reader
this is purely self-indulgent as well. this is purely just fluff, but I still don't want minors to interact.
purposely written in lowercase.
Tumblr media
kaisen is @kuroismss oc.
warnings: blood.
it was dark outside, and you were in your tent as you waited for aithen to return. he went to hunt for at least half an hour now.
after some time passed, you heard a familiar footstep, which indicates that aithen had finally come back from hunting.
you went outside your tent, immediately greeted with aithen. his shirt was unbuttoned, and of course, it was slightly bloody because of the fact he carried a whole deer back to the tent that you two were staying in for a bit.
"little crow, did you miss me?" aithen asks you, his voice was husky and deep, it was calming whenever you hear him talk to you.
"hmm, yeah, i missed you, aithen." you admit, even though aithen left for only half an hour to hunt cause he knew you were hungry.
"i'm sorry, i took so long, little crow. it was pretty difficult for me to hunt because i came across some thugs on the way." he apologized as he preps his axe to butcher the deer meat.
"it's okay, you don't need to apologize, aithen. can i go grab a few mushrooms and herbs? i saw a few of them when we were on our way here. besides, i also want to kill some time as you butcher the deer meat." you say, as you grabbed your usual herb basket that you always bring whenever you're out walking with aithen.
"can i go with you, yn?" a familiar child-like voice said, it was kaisen, aithen's little brother, he followed the two of you without the two of you knowing.
"kaisen, what are you doing here?!" you and aithen said in unison, confused as to how the hell kaisen got here.
"i might've.. i followed the two of you, and it was because i'm bored of staying in the castle! there isn't much to do whenever you both aren't at the  castle!" kaisen explained his reason, which was understandable and also reasonable he was still a kid after all, and he was really curious too.
"kaisen, i would rather you stay here with me and help me butcher the deer. it would take a lot longer if i'm the only one who is doing the work." aithen commanded, which surprisingly made kaisen stay with him to finish cutting up a few of the deer meat.
(๑-﹏-๑)
after twenty minutes, you finally came back with the herbs and mushrooms. it was an array of mushrooms, there were oyster mushrooms, chicken of the woods, and maitake mushrooms, which were the mushrooms that aithen or even you usually use when you both make stew.
kaisen helped make the bonfire, stacking stick by stick carefully. he also used some pine cones to easily light up the fire.
aithen was chopping the meat into bite size pieces, you didn't doubt it, he was really skilled with his axe and he is also a fantastic cook in the castle.
you were cutting the herbs and mushrooms, the mushrooms were cut into small pieces and you were sure that this could feed more than three people, as you finish cutting up the herbs and mushrooms you then went to the bonfire and then you put a dutch oven over the fire. you then put a slice of butter inside. after the butter melts, you then put the mushrooms inside of the dutch oven sautéing the mushrooms in progress.
as the mushrooms let out of its excess water, you then put the meat inside of the dutch oven as you seer it slightly. before you immediately poured the left-over beef broth that you brought from the castle.
finally, the stew had finished cooking. so you, kaisen, and aithen then sat next to the bonfire. of course, the three of you were excited to taste the stew.
author's note: Honestly, I felt like i rushed myself when I wrote this... probably not one of my best works, but I'm a little proud of how this turned out!

Can you do an angsty Will fic? Where he breaks down from being touch starved (he became used to giving hugs than getting hugs after being thrust into a role of leadership and having to act like he's always okay for his siblings) and Nico comforts him? It's kinda specific, so its completely your choice! im just really desperate for some Will angst
Pls no smut! and possibly Will X Nico! Thank youu <33
Ahhhh!! I love Will and Nico soooo muchhh, the minute I saw this request I already made a photo thingy for the fic and Im so excited!
Will Solace x Nico Di Angelo
Warnings: Angst/comfort, mentions of negative self image, and also infirmary stuff!
Tumblr media
Will was tired to say the least, as the head counselor of the Apollo cabin he had a lot on his plate. Not only did he have to help out the new Apollo children but also the current ones. He felt like a mom at times, struggling to stop all her kids from accidentally dying. Oh and he also was one of the head healers at the infirmary. He spent all his time helping others but no one ever really helped him. Of course he had friends and of course he had his siblings but none of them ever really picked up on his stress or negative thoughts. The dark circles under his eyes went unnoticed as well as the constant yawning.
Will had managed to get away from the busy day he was having. Opting to chill near the strawberry fields. He even picked a few to snack on, safe to say he knew this break wouldn't be long. Camp Half-Blood seemed to have a dramatic increase in new campers, Will didn't understand how the gods could have so many kids all the time, this meant that he had a lot more to do. A Lot more people to show around, explain things to, and also a lot more children that end up injuring themselves.
He always kicked himself mentally when he sighed at the new campers asking him for help. He was supposed to be a bright eyed, happy-go-lucky Apollo kid. Yet he wasn't happy, he was stressed and in a constant state of self loathing. Will felt water drops on his hands, looking up at the sky he saw it was still bright and sunny out. He was crying. In the middle of the Strawberry fields. He felt stupid. He was fine and a little work wasn't the end of the world. He tried to find the motivation to get up and go back to the infirmary but he couldn't. He couldn't stand the thought of going back to the bloody noses, and the bruises, and the whining.
He didn't want to. He just wanted to stay put in the fields. Streams of tears came out of his eyes, the stress of everything was too much. He put his head against the tree he was sitting next to and let himself cry. This was fine, he was fine. No one was around anyways.... Or so he thought.
"Hey you okay Sunshine?" Will knew whos voice it was. Nico Di Angelo, a child of Hades and someone Will was quite enamored with. Will quickly wiped his face, "Yeah, I'm great... It's just really hot out, some sweat got in my eyes." Will resonded sheepishly. He wasnt trying to lie to Nico, he just didnt want to burden him with his problems. "You sure? Cause from where I'm standing it seems like you are hiding in the strawberry fields crying..." Nico sat down next to Will. Will looked at Nico, who was wearing some black jeans and a black shirt (He never wore his camp half blood shirt) with a skull on it. He gave Nico a small smile, "I'm just stressed I guess...". Nico nodded and looked around the camp. Everyone was doing their own thing, they didn't notice the pair at all. "You do alot for the camp, I'm not suprised you're stressed. You should talk to Chiron about some time off or something..." Nico's suggestion was nice but Will couldn't stand the thought of not being useful. He didn't want to be dead weight. "I'm fine. I just...." Will couldnt find the words he was going to say. Nico faced Will and gave him a concerned look. "Please stop overworking yourself. It's not healthy and you're supposed to be a doctor or whatever..." Nico joked with the blonde. "I'm not a doctor, I'm just a kid they put in charge of the health of countless other kids..." Will sighed. "Yeah, but you're damn good at your job, Solace." Nico's compliment made Will's cheeks burn. "Thanks..." Will looked away from Nico trying to hide his blush.
A horn could be heard in the distance, it was dinner time. Will sighed, he would have to go back to everyone, put on a smile and pretend all over again. The moment with Nico was just a moment. It wasn't permanent. "Guess it's time to eat..." Will sat up and got on his own two feet. "Thanks for talking to me Nico." He started to walk away until he felt a hand grab his wrist. "Wait... You can sit with me if you'd like. The hades table is always empty..." Will smiled at Nico and nodded his head. "Yeah, I'd like that alot Nico." Nico gave Will a small smile and closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around Will. Nico had his head against Will's chest considering he was a few inches shorter than Will.
Once again tears threatened to leave Will's eyes, but for a different reason this time. He returned Nico's hug and placed his chin atop of his head. The two stayed there for a few minutes. Just enjoying the embrace of the other. That night at dinner Nico and Will talked on and on about everything. Nico even convinced Will to talk to Chiron about his stress. Safe to say there were a lot more moments in the strawberry fields for Will and Nico.

Character and Creator asks: 16, 28, 31, A, E, D, the OC of your choice? 😊
Thanks my dear ♥ Well I just have to answer this for Melwen 😊
Tumblr media
16 - What makes their stomach turn?
Really bad stenches, when it just smells like a ton of different things are mixed together, she struggled in the Goblin Camp for example - smells of blood, sweat, food, alcohol and excretions mixed together.
28 - Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
Most likely yes. She can be pretty naive and might even ignore an unpleasant truth although she learnt of it.
31 -Who are they most glad to have met?
Basically all of her travelling companions - there's not one she didn't grow close with over the time. Of course she's especially glad to have met Astarion, as he becomes her partner, while Gale, Karlach and Wyll become closest confidants.
A) Why are you excited about this character?
Honestly I've been loving her only based on her appearance already. The CC in BG3 was more limited than I thought (and by that I just mean they had fixed face presets, besides that there was tons to change) and it took me a while to create her, but I'm very happy with how she turned out. Then I have to say I absolutely adore playing a Bard - her character changed to be more sarcastic and outgoing because of this, she became more self-confident and I love it. The game itself is a big factor as well. I enjoy it so much, which of course makes me more invested in Melwen's character.
D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?
During my first time in the CC I created 3 characters (A Half-Drow, a Tiefling and a Dwarf). I took pictures of them to take another look and get more time to decide who I'd like to play as. Back then Melwen still had red eyes. When I decided I'd like to play as her, I went back to the CC and kept experimenting a bit with things like her facial tattoo, her hairstyle and so on. And at this point I decided that I like the dark blue eyes better. I also keep changing her hairstyle because that's something she would definitely do during their time on the road - she wouldn't keep it in a ponytail the whole time, she also likes to braid it etc.
E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?
I think so yes. Not gonna lie, most of the times my OCs act in a way I'd like to be myself. So I might envy her for being the way she is, but I'd also be impressed by her and I'd want her to like me.
