・He watched you pace back and forth, your head in your hands. He stayed silent for a second, listening to you more carefully. Only to hear..

".. I'm sorry but..we need to break up, Bill."

・Stays silent for a minute before he shuffles on his foot, the sound of his shoe hitting th floor making you turn around with a small gasp.

"Bill! I thought you were out with-"

"M/N..what the hell were you saying?"

・Through sniffs and shaky breaths you'd explain how you just didn't want his career to be fucked, how you just wanted him to be safe

・He's arguing through tears, pointing out how truthfully nobody cares ever since it has gotten out you two were dating.

・He'd cry and sob and he would keep telling you that he loved you too much to let you go, how even if it messed up his career he'd always pick you.

・But..he was so disappointed you went to break up with him instead of talking it out.

・He can't make out anything you're saying, only half listening to your continuous 'sorries' and pleas for him to just hear you out and listen.

"But Tom, all of the backlash and.. -"

"WHAT fucking backlash?!"

・He's mad mad. Can hardly look at you as tears well in his eyes. He can hardly make out your own face, you're all blurry in his vision.

・Storms out of your room, slamming the door and ignoring you when you scream and beg for him to come back

・He doesn't, and probably never will.

GEORG:

・He was bored, so tired of just sitting around the house all day!

・Wanted to bring you down to the lake, maybe have a picnic and listen to music...yeah that seemed nice. He knew you loved this lake, you'd always talk about it everytime you drove past it.

・Walking to your room, nearly skipping as he was going to tell you to put your boots on and get changed. It's been quite a long time since you have been out of the house yourself.

・You, on the other hand, weren't looking forward to hanging out with him right now. You weren't sure why you were so caught up about the fact dating him got out, nobody really cared.

・He was too giddy to knock, instead he strolled right on in with a big smile on his face. You were turned away, walking back and forth in your room as you muttered to yourself, although he could only make out a few words.

"..I can't do this with you anymore, Georg.."

・His heart drops at the same time his smile did, he feels like he's frozen in place. He can't move his legs, hands, nothing.

・Watching as you would look up at him as you stopped your steps, eyes tinted a shade of pink as your jaw was slightly dropped, neither of you being able to form words.

・Only takes a few seconds for your rambling to start, telling him your sorry and trying to make up an excuse.

"I..i was just practicing this thing for school about breaking up and-"

"That's such goddamn bullshit!"

・Can't look at you, hands giving to cover his face as his breathing is ragged. He'd stay quiet as you spoke, not absorbing anything.

・Doesn't bother to argue or intervene, just listening to your dumb excuses and desperate apologies that didn't mean anything to him anymore.

・Although if you mentioned something about your relationship being outed, he'd be furious. Doesn't quite show, he doesn't yell, but he's fuming.

・Truly doesn't get why you don't understand how much he loves you. So what if a few people dislike this? You were his boyfriend and you mattered to him so much..

・Well- you were his ex boyfriend now.

"If you wanted to break up you could've just said so! How long have you been feeling like this?"

・He's hurt and distraught and sad all at the same time, he's unable to process all of this.

・He doesn't actually say "We're breaking up" but it's so damn implied it felt like he was screaming it at you in the back of your head.

・Can't bother to look at that dammed lake anymore, taking another route if his original went past it.

GUSTAV:

・He wanted to watch your favorite movie with you today!

・He knew you have been stressed recently, although he didn't quite know why. He just wanted to be there for you and help you get through this.

・You didn't want him to help you at all though, huh?

・You've wanted to break it to him for the past couple weeks that you needed to seeperate from each other, but it was hard considering that's not what you truly wanted.

・Although you gained so much positive feedback when your relationship got outed, those snarky,rude comments were getting to you.

・Anyways...Gustav had already gotten the popcorn ready, along with some of your favorite candy. Skittles, chocolate, starbursts..

・He had set up everything perfectly in the living room, making sure it was all neat and gorgeous. He couldn't wait to see your eyes sparkle with joy!

・Walking to your room, whistling quietly under his breath. Slowly opening your door. You were faced away from him, which gave him the perfect opportunity to scream "SURPRISE" if he wanted to!

・Yet he wanted to wait, he could hear your voice tremble as yo whispered to yourself. He could make out hardly anything, but a few words stood out to him

"Gustav..we should break up."

・He felt like he'd been hit with a brick. His heart beat sped up and he wanted to vomit.

・You turned, feeling like something was watching you. You were right. There stood Gustav, frozen in place as he started at you with glossy eyes

・Tears pooled in his eyes. He felt as if all the moisture in his mouth suddenly disappeared and he found it hard to swallow. It was like there was a rock lodged in his throat.

"Gustav, I didnt-"

"..you didn't?"

・His voice was barley above a whisper and he had to hold back sobs. He couldn't stand properly, leaning against the bedroom door for security.

・He didn't know what he did wrong! Why didn't you love him..why did you want to leave him..did he do something?

・Listening to you make up lies, he wanted to believe them. He wanted to think he heard you wrong and that you meant something totally different.

・But no matter how hardvhe tried to ignore it, there was a voice in the back of his head telling him that the things you were spewing were bullshit.

・His body trembled as he hit back another sob as you went in to tell him that you just wanted his career to be safe and easy, for there to be no backlash or hate.

"Please, M/N. Just..stop."

・Doesn't say anything as he staggers out the room, tears streaming down his cheeks. He ignores your pleas of forgiveness and sobs to listen to you. He had already listened to you and you had lied again and again.

・Can't sleep for days, thinks that you lied about wanting his career to be okay and really he had done something wrong.

i know quite people are begging this lovely writer to update an epilogue for ATW or even asking updates of By Dawn but we never really had your answers *sad cries* until my email beeps that you actually posted another fic *holy moly*

And it’s freakin 1950’s. FOR REAL guys read it the title is “From Afar” and honestly Hans I’m kind of scared it has a cutesy vibes but at the same time it screams disaster and chaos just like the movie Edge of Love (ik ik, you’re a fan of Cillian just like moralee!)

Again, the writing is incredible im forever a fan. But pls Hans, could you please update By Dawn too? That story got me on chokehold I don’t know how I actually read that because I’m literally bawling every chapters but it’s still freaking beautiful

Wow, this is a long ask indeed! I don’t know what to answer first, it has been a while but please let me express my gratitude first. The amount of support I am still getting is very flattering and heart warming so thank you very much.

It has been two years since the last chapter of After The War, and I swear that I’ve tried to write an epilogue, but then tossed it right into the bin because there has been some changes I want to revise with the whole story. It feels like the story is still lacking plots, and I’m really not satisfied with the whole outcome and grammatical error…I’m still at Chapter 3 revision, and it’s taking me a long time and it’s killing me too.

While By Dawn, I’ll Leave is like the skeleton meme that was left chained at the bottom of the pool LOL I’m very kidding but yes, a year had already passed since I last updated a new chapter. To give you my answer, I have a draft of the next chapter — around 3,000 words but I definitely feel the need to drop a hell of a long chapter in regards to the POV of whom character I am writing…I think that this chapter should express the missing details (I know some of the readers are left hanging and dissatisfied with Levi and Mikasa’s choices) to give way that both of the characters suffered equally in their own way…alright no spoilers. Haha

And of course, I almost forgot! From Afar — 1950’s and stuff…I’m getting a lot of suggestions to write a 50’s one so here I tried. Tackles about the 1940-50’s, I actually don’t know how to react with that opinion of yours but it did make me laugh. The chaos and disaster, hmm…maybe? But it’s not going to land like The Edge of Love for sure, I don’t want Mikasa to be milking Levi’s military pension the way Vera did it to William (Cillian Murphy)! Hahaha, maybe the vibes, you know, I’m still head over heels towards Cillian as Levi and so on.

I watched the spiderverse movie recently at my friend’s house and it was so so freakin cool. Kinda sad noir got literally a second of screen time but I AM SO SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT MOVIE! Praying that noir gets more screen time too 🙏 also Peter b??? He’s so dad material like he’s literally a dad. He’s such a comfort character for me 😭 If you have the time, can u write any hc’s for Peter? if not, it’s totally fine too

Makes a lot of jokes about eating people. Sometimes goes overboard with the jokes and has to be told to stop. He just gets carried away!

Unlike most of the others, he has a preference for having multiple prey than just one. Something in his brain tells him that the prey need a companion to feel safer.

He doesn’t like to be eaten though. Would rather eat or see someone be safely eaten than be eaten himself.

Very careful with his prey because he knows he could accidentally hurt them

Likes to hum to a tune of a song and tap his fingers on his stomach while having prey in there

Prefers to lounge around with prey inside him instead of doing stuff

Doesn’t normally have the chance to do it but he’s HUGE on foodplay. Eating a willing prey while they’re wrapped in a pizza is one of his guilty pleasures.

1. JK calling her baby constantly “Baby, babe, my baby, angel” yes im so weak for this shit🤯

2. Girlfriend - Boyfriend 🥳🥳🥳 fucking finally!!!

3. So so so proud of my baby oc standing up to her mum!! Bring it on! Though i hope down the story that they’ll reconcile!! Just like what cmi jk said, i think deep down her parents do love her. Its not just enough or maybe shown in different ways. Even parents and children irl have different love languages. But I want this to happen for them. I know they are at peace but having both their families by their side as they go through their relationship will be so reassuring and special ❤️

4. Mama Jeon 🥹 I feel like oc will get the love and comfort she craves from a mother from JK’s mum 😭 i already love her character!! And when Jk called her “Mama” I FREAKIN SWOONED

5. My favourite part of all this madness was the pregnancy scare. JK looking for her all over and his panic state, crying and his line “I’m gonna kill someone if I don’t find her..” oh my heart broke because he just wants to know she’s okay and she’s safe. It is sad truly that his first thought was he fucked up, when he didn’t. If I were JK, I would think its oc who did something wrong but I’m not wired like cmi JK, i have evil thoughts and trust issues 😐🤣

6. When oc said “You’ll leave me, because you’ll be mad.” I just wanna hug her so bad :( the trauma of people leaving and her experience of jk leaving her the first time 😭😭😭 my heart broke for the both of them tbh :((

7. I understand oc’s fear. Things are just looking up in both their careers and they are only starting their relationship. Not saying a baby is unwanted and will jeopardise what they have atm, but the arrival of a little one will surely change some things. BUT I WANT A LITTLE ONE SOON! A mini oc to give jk a heart attack 😌😌

8. The way jk reassured her - how you wrote jk seeing her face and he just rushed to her and hugged her without knowing what the heck was going on. 😢

a month ago these fields were dry and dead and prickly. They were nothing compared to how beautiful they are; green and full and alive with life. Where we live, we don’t see rain often - but when it rains it pours.  That is how I feel about life right now. I look at this photo, which was taken on sunrise, in our favourite place, with my whole world captured within it. They look so happy and carefree and I’ve found myself looking at this photo often. Two out of three of my dogs need specialist surgeries to not only improve their quality of life; but to justify their lives. Because with their current conditions, if left untreated, the kindest option for them will be euthanasia.  Most of you have followed Miller’s journey with her - to put it plainly - broken ears. Some of you even donated to help her! With the help of friends, family, total strangers, and an army of vets and nurses, she received a bilateral vertical ear canal ablation. This didn’t work. We performed another surgery. This didn’t work. For the last eight months she has routinely been seeing a veterinary dermatologist; has been on antibiotics, steroids, creams, ointments, painkillers.. and is still in excruciating pain. the tablets needed to keep her relatively comfortable cost $269 for two weeks worth - that’s without the specialist consults, antibiotics, and painkillers.  The specialist is out of answers; out of treatments. We’ve tried everything. Her ONLY option left is a bilateral total ear canal ablation, or TECA. This will cost $1,500 - $2,500 per ear. The other dog with life-threatening issues is Harold. Which sounds crazy. How can my baby dog be so broken already? When harold was a few months old I noticed him limping. His hips had been cleared, so it wasn’t hip dysplasia. He was diagnosed with bilateral elbow dysplasia. I was DEVASTATED. I threw every treatment at him, hoping his elbows would get better as he aged.  Harold struggles to stand if he’s been lying down for too long. He needs daily 4cyte (an epiitalis supplement) and monthly cartrophen injections to keep him mobile. I have to carefully monitor his exercise otherwise the following day he is crippled. Three weeks ago we performed another x-ray on harold now that he’s almost fully grown.  Our orthopaedic specialist has said, if Harold is to live a happy and abled life, he needs elbow arthroscopy. This costs between $2000 - $4000. I’ve not spoken about Harold’s issues on this blog, aside from when I contacted a fellow blogger who went through the same thing with their pooch, but receiving all of this news at once has been overwhelming.  This is not a cry for help nor a plea for pity. I don’t really know what this is. I just needed to vent to an audience who cares. If you have dealt with either of these surgeries, please let me know if it was worth it, as I’m at a loss of what to do.

Lol its just me ranting while crying over Vol 2 of TBB soundtrack.

Ok fuck not me crying over the bad batch soundtrack vol 2, especially "collapse" like geez. I'm fucking sobbing. The destruction of Tipoca city and the death of Kamino was heartbreaking itself but the sound track just made it more painful.

- Frick not even 10 seconds into it and I’m already sad. It’s starts out with what sounds to be a whale call and- its hurts. It sounds like It's calling out for help, it's in pain.

- And at the one minute mark we’re meet with a weird working noise which to me kinda sounds like a machine trying to power back up, like it’s just to use so sort of back up generator or whatever. Tipoca is trying to live, trying not to die. (It also sounds like hopeless. Like being trapped in a dark room with no way out. But there is not room, and n walls. Just darkness, but it’s not dark it your thoughts. They start out small and they start to get bigger, louder, engulfing you in itself.) Then the power fails, you can hear it failing. It's dying.

Johnny lawrence had a hard time growing up and adjusting from just him and his mother to living with Sid .

The man expected alot from him even if he was just a kid . Every move he made was being watched , waiting for one mistake .

When he was a teenager , he and his friends would beat the shit out of kids who seemed weaker or in Dutch words a fairy .

He was full of anger and it was the only way to let some steam .

The other half he spent being with his girlfriend Ali that he loved , but she later broke up with him because he wasn't the guy she fell in love with .

Not even a week later she started dating a guy from college .It made him angry , made him like he was nothing but a weak boy .

Felt like he was full of anger like a dark cloud just following him .

Sid always gave him shit , always telling him that he was just a pussy and just like the kids he would beat up .

College wasn't for him it was just time wasted , he dropped out with one month in . The look of dissapointment of his mom hurt him more than the harsh words Sid yelled at him .

Then one day he crossed into a man named kreese , he was wasted but soon after he got into a fight with a dumbass that got in his way .

Kreese stopped him before he killed the guy . Told him he had potential of being something big , at first he thought he was full of shit and almost threw hands at him too .

The man gave him a card to call him when he was tired of wasting away talent .

Thats how he was thrown into the underground business after he was thrown in jail almost killing Sid and left him in pulp .

Kreese had taken him out of jail , Johnny had to repay the favor by doing what he did best using his anger and destroying the ones around him .

Johnny thrived from the anger that pumped in his veins , the blood that would splatter and the satifaction of feeling in control .

He didnt want to give the feeling or the money up .

He was Kreese favorite fighter his star pupil , thats why he was the only one to get to meet the boss of the underground that was given to John Kreese to keep an eye on .

" You were born to be a cobra, lawrence with that power you can control the world with just the palm of your fist . "

He believed every word yet when he wanted the person he couldnt have . He felt like a useless powerless ant .

He wished to he had never went with kreese to meet the man thaat would hurt the person he would love the most .

The Mansion was huge bigger than the ones he grew up with Sid. Maids and butler walked around and carrying on with their dutties . They were directed to the backyard full of little trees and cherry blossoms that seemed the opposite of the tales of Mr. Silver .

A foot in the garden , weirdly he felt relaxed even more so when he had spent the night with shannon and smoking weed .

" Did you wrapped your hand like i told you yesterday , if you dont start taking care of yourself someone else will take your place . "

" Yes sensei , Carmen helped me out and We both know no one can take my place .

Kreese chuckles proudly .

" John my man ! Long time no see , What do i owe the pleasure .

" Its been a while has it . Hope im not interrupting . "

" nonsense pal . "

" I wanted you to meet you lawrence , the one i been talking about . "

The man had piercing cold stare , but johnny wasn't scared when he almost killed sid with his bare hands , hes not going to start now just because the guy was freakin rich .

Terry looked unimpressed, like he was staring a gum at the bottom of his shoe .

" How old are you kid ? "

" 24 ."

" Does he got the potential for it or will he back out like scared kid ? "

The question was directed to kreese like if he wasn't just standing there . God he wanted to beat the shit of this self absorbed guy .

" I could prove it to you right now . " He answers before Kreese could get a word in .

The guys just chuckles and smiles , Johnny really wanted to break his hand where he places it on his shoulder .

" Alright then , Your in the big boy world now . "

" Mr . Silver ? "

A older lady called , He guessed she was a secretary or probably his wife .

" Mr. LaRusso said that hes going to church and you could stay here with your friends . "

" Nonsense . Get the car ready , Well gentleman got any plans today ? . "

It had been awhile he had gone to church , couldn't remember at all .

Stepping out of the car , he watches in the distance where Mr. Silver and the larusso guy- he looked more like a boy to him .

When the guy walks in first , Silver makes a hand motion to follow him . They make him sit besides the boy while Kreese and Terry sit in the back to talk business .

All he wanted to do was run the fuck out of there . He felt everyone could see his bloodstained hands , and all the fucked up shit he's done and about to do .

He didnt even realise his leg was bouncing until he felt a dainty hand over his , where he place above his knee .

" First time ? "

" Its been awhile . "

" Focus on the beautiful angels instead of thinking about how the people might see your sins . "

The boy whispered to him , not once he looked at him in the entire conversation but he didnt take his hand back either .

Johnny looked at the angel , he felt the whispers and the judging eyes dissapear, For the first time he wondered how can an angel look so sad and beautiful at the same time .

Said angel turned to face him , Johnny felt mesmerized by his huge doe eyes .

" What are you doing ? "

Clenching his fist to feel the dull ache of his knuckles . Holding his gaze , his eye flicker one more time to their hands and then back to him .

" Looking at the angel . "

....... ....... ........

" If im Bambi , What does that make you , the lion ? "

" i guess it does , The lion has to protect the Bambi from the hungry snakes . "

Haikyuu fanfic recs for ones I liked hehe

Anyway, as the title suggests, I am recommending some fanfics for popular(ish) ships that I personally really enjoyed! I’m only doing one or two fics per ship (which in hindsight is KILLING me so I’m just putting the first fics I find and am like I really liked that one LOL) because I wanted to do a shorter fic rec list (tho watch this become super long LOL). I also may or may not be procrastinating finishing a couple other long posts, so there’s that hehe. For the (kinda but not really) public consensus for best fics per ship (by kudo count) check out some of my other posts. Also I’m putting some ships I don’t actually read much of (OOPS LOL) so if you think that there’s a fic that fits my type (if I even have a consistent type) better, pls tell me LOL. Otherwise, pls continue heh :)

The Loyalty of a Traitor by DeathBelle (E) 76.9k // ok so does me liking this fic make me basic cause I feel basic LOL. I really love mafia fics, and the way the story line developed was SO good, like IN LOVE with this story. This is a fic where you should read WARNINGS, TAGS, and SUMMARY before diving in, but if the length scares you, don’t be. It’s so easy to fall in and get lost in the writing!

the courtship ritual of the hercules beetle by kittebasu (chanyeol) (T) 66.3k // again, basic? Probably LOL but it’s good so I have no shame ;) Again, pls don’t let the word count scare you (cause it scared me LOL), you get really into it after like 2 paragraphs, so just make sure you have enough time to finish hehe.

KuroKen:

Thicker Than Blood by kylar (M) 91.4k // are you surprised that there is another mafia one? You really shouldn’t be LOL. Anyway, I’ll just be here pushing my mafia fanfic agenda while you read this monster of a fic hehe :) Definitely read WARNINGS, TAGS, and SUMMARY because there is some very sensitive topics involved! I also adore the oibokuroo friendship headcannon, so more reasons to read, right?

Liked, Commented and Subscribed by Royal Society of Pandas (Abarcelos) (T) 45.7k // this fic is SO funny omg. I read it and I had to stop so many times just to laugh because I could not stop sometimes LOL. However, there IS angst towards the end, it gets resolved, but it’s still there... But honestly, it just adds such depth and flavor to the fic, so pls read it!

BokuAka:

bang! now we're even by Authoress (M) 11.9k // so I’ll be honest, I don’t read a lot of BokuAka (...oops?) and so I wouldn’t consider myself as the best person to be recommending fics for this ship (in general too LOL).... ANyway, I love myself some good spy AUs (was gonna put that IwaOi spy AU but the LIMIT), and Akaashi in a dress? Like the tags might state, what more do you need? The characters are done beautifully, and the story development is SO good, so I give you all my humble BokuAka rec.

Crisis Converted by valiantarmor (M) 60k // man do I really love fighting in my fics LOL. This was super good and the plot itself kept me really engaged (what a twist omg). It does talk a bit about mental health issues, but it’s done so well, and they really did this AU justice!

DaiSuga:

How to Manage by SuggestiveScribe (E) 39.3k // ok so yea yea we established, I’m basic, BUT can you blame me? This might’ve been one of the first DaiSuga’s I’ve read and I have no regrets. Literally, this fic series is one of my favorites, so OF COURSE I had to add it somewhere :D Honestly, I don’t even think you need to read the first one to understand what’s going on, but I would just cause it has some funny DaiSuga moments too ;) This is explicit for PWP, so proceed with caution~~

Add New Contact by booksong (G) 8.5k // this one! It’s so cute and poor Daichi LOL. He really out here doing the most,,, Anyway, we love tech Suga, and a nice dash of snarky tsukki (LOL is he salt, yes yes he is). It’s very fluff and pine, so if you want to read Daichi having gay panic like 24/7, go right ahead LOL.

SakuAtsu:

Burden of Blame by DeathBelle (E) 91.2k // ummmm, haha what, another mafia AU? Me, predictable? Noooo, never..... Anyway, this one was so freakin’ good like, love it so much! It’s one of my favorite mafia AU fics, and I love the story line progression. Poor Atsumu being dragged into this mess, but it’s okay because THEY are IN LOVE. Honestly, this fic is Atsumu best boy like he is the best boy. BEST BOY.

Notte Stellata by awkwardedgeworth (T) 20.9k // I ignored all of the other fics I LOVE in this ship (like the pain I’m in rn), but I love this fic with my whole heart. Like I have reread this fic multiple multiple times because I love it so much (tho I might’ve skipped the angst a couple of times cause I didn’t want the pain okay?). I keep coming back, and the second fic in this series is SO funny and cute and I love it here. Please read it, it’s so FREAKING good, angst and ALL.

KyouHaba:

Team Mom by All_My_Characters_Are_Dead (T) 2.7k // so as I was going through this tag (because that’s what I do LOL), I remembered this fic and I love it. Like yes Yahaba is the fear factor and yes Kyoutani is the DAD. I really like the team dynamics in this one, and the first years make me laugh pls.

Camellias by kiyala (T) 1.9k // IK you’re all like, you’re missing such great fics, like no I’m not I just made myself hate myself by limiting fics to two per,,, I love this fic and when I starting looking for this ship, it was the first one I thought of hehe. I really love magic and their interactions are so cute and the PLANTS ARE DOING THE MOST. Pls read both in the series, cause domestic KyouHaba is best KyouHaba ngl LOL. I love the plants, and if you read the second one, someone tell the trees to stop bullying Yahaba.

MatsuHana:

This gets annoying fast, Makki by Ink_stained_quills (G) 2.3k // IM IN LOVE WITH THIS FIC PLS I COULD NOT STOP CRYING TEARS OF LAUGHTER. This AU needs more fics PLEASE. It was SO freakin’ funny and the other teams KILLED ME. Like how they all approached the problem differently and how some of them (KUROO) asked for help LOL. Please this is so freaking funny go read it.

boiled frogs by reginagalaxia (E) 91.5k // I told myself I was gonna put my most angsty fics on another post (which I will for my other favorite MatsuHana angst fic which I love), but this fic. Omg I saw it and I was like I have to. Literally I have to. I hate angst, but read it. It, the, plot, omg, I jjfnsfknalkjdnf ljksan. Like I’m not sure you understand. This fic. asjfjfsadnldjb. I never thought I could hate a character SO MUCH,,,, like SO MUCH. READ TAGS, WARNINGS, AND SUMMARIES because some serious stuff really goes down. Bless Iwa-chan.

SunaOsa:

Accidentally in Love by pancake_surprise (T) 19.6k // JOSE CUERVO strikes. I love this fic and all the chaos in it. The way they were supposed to be the responsible couple (of friends LOL),,, sike. This one is only a slight angst and it’s mostly love and fun :) Also technically this is no longer the first fic in the series, but I’m still putting this one cause the other one is SakuAtsu orientated hehe :)

Spring Secrets by DeathBelle (T) 3.8k // Seasons might be one of my favorite (as all things also seem to be) series of all times. I don’t like rerecommending fics I’ve already said to read, which is why I’m not yelling at you to go read a certain other fic (which is my life and blood). Anyway, this fic series is all fluff barely angst (maybe that’s why I like it) but it’s so freakin good pls read it all ahhhhhh.

Komori/Suna (what is their ship name):

I wish to live in a world by hatsuna (T) 24.8k // ok ngl this fic was so sad and relatable? Like I was like wtf why are you making me cry rn even though like I shouldn’t be? My heart? Pain. (Hotel? Trivago.) Technically, this is END GAME but the main pairing is kinda SakuAtsu???? Something of the sort, but also their relationship (Komori and Sakusa) is written so well and idk guys I think you need to read this fic rn.

Ah the two fic limit hurt me, but fear not I am making ship specific rec posts (LOL I’m so dramatic), so if you wanted more of a ship,,,, its a coming hehe. And yes I did say I’m making an angsty fic rec post, but we’ll see if it gets finished before I side-track with posts like these LOL.

I’m back on my bullshit and we have GOT TO TALK about 13x08 The Scorpion and the Frog; which serves as a good example of why you should not ONLY watch spn episodes with Cas (partially because of that scene I shamefully blogged about earlier - no I will not link that cursed post here). The episode title comes from a fable in which the villain is the scorpion. Interpretations of this fable note its uniqueness lies in the concept that “the scorpion is irrationally self destructive and fully aware of it.”

To quote the scorpion, buddies - “it’s in my nature.”

Anyway, this episode is subtextually predicated on exploring Dean Winchester’s nature and specifically - his bisexuality, and I’m not only saying that because it opens with Dean in his Bi Colors Plaid (that also he wore on his burger date with Cas).

Let’s get started, after the cut!

Season 13 on its face gives me absolute whiplash because it starts widow arc-reunion-TOMBSTONE and then Jack yeets himself off to Chuck knows where so Cas can go out Looking For Him Because Otherwise He Will Definitely Kiss Dean there is no other option for the writers at this point. Sigh. Here, have another shot of Dean anxiously cleaning his gun as he always does when Cas has Gone Off For Reasons -

Anyway, this feels like a filler episode at first, but as always they bury the ENTIRE damn world in it and I am here with my dossier to Unearth It.

Lets start with Bart (demon of terrible nicknames and microagressions) meeting the brothers at Smile Diner to talk about some spell or whatever.

(I am not thinking about the Cherry Pie meta I AM NOT)

THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY to start with these lines immediately introducing the theme of duality, a thread throughout this episode.

BARTHAMUS

Everything. I've been following your careers a long time. You're a real pain in the pitchfork. And the halo. Natural disrupters. We have that in common, you and I. DEAN

Mm. Yeah, we're twinsies.

***MORE DUALITY! But as we know, Dean does not like Bart because He Is A Freakin’ Demon

DEAN

Well, see, here's the thing. When a demon tells us to jump, we don't ask how high. We just ice their ass.

UMMM excuse me Barting Bacting Boices? What is that sexual gaze?

Then we find out that Bart has 1/2 of the spell. They need the other 1/2. Oh, a spell with two parts, you say? [ I am going to scream :) ]

***Also, Dean eats the pie Bart ordered. I cannot begin to explain to you the state of unwellness that I am in regarding how important this is. DEAN NEVER GETS TO EAT THE PIE, remember? But in This Filler Episode, Dean eats the pie. While Sam looks at him with a very quizzical expression. Pie -> what Dean wants but never actually gets -> Dean actively eating this pie. Dean is coming to terms that maybe he can have what he wants.

***I am reminding you again that this is post widower-arc, post-reunion, and especially post-Tombstone. Anyway-

Now we get to Smash and Grab. Not literally even though I want to Commit Such Conduct at this point. We are introduced to two one off characters named

Smash (human/female presenting) - can crack any safe built by man

and Grab (demon/male presenting)- expert in bypassing supernatural security.

Reaching or no, you can’t disagree that when spn introduces one off characters - it is almost always a Narrative Parallel or Mirror.

So we have a human and a demon (and Dean Winchester, a human who has been a demon)

who are experts in cracking open/bypassing something that has been secured and guarded (breaking down walls, if you will).

They also use fake names identifying them as Tools to be Used ( Dean Winchester, the Michael Sword/daddys blunt little instrument)

BONUS:

Dean himself is literally used as a tool in this episode.

So yeah. Smash and Grab are physical representations of Dean’s duality. Human/Demon. Femininity/Masculinity. Dare we say something else, too?

Anyway, Dean is paired with Smash and Grab; Sam is off to idk negotiate weird artifact purchases lawboy style with Luther Shrike, a man who cannot die so long as he never leaves his house (I cannot even begin to unpack this shit; please just sit there and think about it. I’m not even going there here. I CANNOT DISCUSS Luther Shrike RN).

Speaking of things I cannot discuss without halgdhsag;lsa - Smash has very Specific boots (a look overall, really).

DEAN

Hey, Winona. The '90s called. They'd like their shoes back. SMASH

Shh.

***That’s right girl - do not take his shit; he actually LOVES them and is therefore Overcompensating for it with this little jab.

ANYWAY, then Dean and Smash bond over a caffeinated beverage -

[While Dean is doing a spell, Smash opens a can of drink, takes a mouthful and burps loudly. ] SMASH

Ahh. DEAN

You're weird.

***This scene makes me literally insane. (even aside from Dean living on something named NERVE DAMAGE as a KID. They could have called it anything. You’re saying this wasn’t a Choice)

She chugs a swallow of the drink and burps. Something stereotypically associated with masculinity. Not feminine. Dean’s reaction is that she is “weird” - because she is not acting in a way stereotypically, J*hn Winchester brain-rot patriarchy bullshit-tily associated with Being Female. But also, says the stupid show, they like the same soda. They are The Same. She shares the soda with Dean. HIS FACE WHEN SHE DOES -

Other similarities are addressed throughout the episode (they are working for demons because they have no choice; they don’t discuss feelings/emotions, they both sold their soul, they both This Thing -

DEAN

You know, we could help you. SMASH

No, you can't. I gotta take care of me.

etc. etc.) Smash is absolutely dean-coded.

****Also it’s textually established that Smash thinks Dean is attractive -

GRAB

[looking at Smash] Oh. You said he was just a pretty face. SMASH

Shh.

***But Grab flirts with him too.

DEAN

I will kill you. GRAB

I bet you say that to all the girls.

***sorry, Grab - you won’t get far with Dean, but only because as he mentioned in the beginning of this episode -

Now Dean has to put his hand in the mouth of this stone lion thing and all of a sudden he is acting....very-not-like-Dean.

[Dean looks again and takes a deep breath.] DEAN

I… how about this? What if I cut myself, put it on, like, a little piece of paper? We'll just wad it up and throw it in the mouth, okay? Okay.

***Dean Winchester, who has been to Literal HELL, who has been torn apart by hellhounds, who has battled the devil and angels and God’s sister - all at the expense of his own life is now - afraid of spiders. Well, technically he has always been afraid of spiders, but why isn’t ‘he being performative about it At This Time??

***Come to think of it, this sends me right back to how Jackles was playing Dean in 12x11 Regarding Dean THE episode dissecting Dean’s performative masculinity [one day I will clean up and post that analysis sitting in my drafts like a sad hamster]. That makes sense actually, because -> -> ->

that episode and this one are both written by Meredith Glynn. Girl get in I want to torture you affectionately with a barrage of questions.

So here we have Dean and he’s not performing for Reasons, and he’s scared he’s genuinely scared of putting his hand in this stone lion-gargoyle-pig-creature’s mouth and then -

Smash gives him a push.

She gives him a push. I cannot stop thinking about how she gives him a push. A push to go do this thing that he is scared of; his fear being something he was hiding under his performative masculinity. Smash - dean coded dean mirror who does not perform femininity and is ‘weird’ - she gives him a p u s h.

Now, let’s circle back to Smash’s story; why she is working for Bart in the first place -

SMASH

***How does the story end for Smash?

DEAN

Take care of you. [Dean glances down at the box, and then at Smash. She sees that Dean has put a lighter on top of the bones.] BARTHAMUS

Alice, chop chop!

[Bart indicates she should get his bones]. SMASH

Yeah. [She grabs the lighter and sets Bart's bones alight. Bart screams as he bursts into flames. ]

***She accepts help and breaks free from the narrative, literally burning it down. The female presenting but not female-performing “weird” ooc representing a side of Dean breaks FREE because she makes a choice. The lighter Dean drops? It’s a push. And she goes with it.

Alice reclaims her story.

(Also, Grab gets ganked. The male presenting ooc; the performative masculinity side; the demon; the darkness; the not-humanity - gets ganked).

Guess what Dean says to Alice when they say goodbye?

DEAN

Hey, Alice. Stay weird.

[I know the peace sign is probably just a Charlie throwback but I’d still like to say duality. Two. ]

Dean’s not just talking to Alice. He’s talking to himself; because the walls have been breached and for once Dean isn’t as scared of being different. Maybe, just maybe, he’s going along with the push. That’s exactly how the episode ends - with Dean feeling a little more hopeful, a little more at peace; a little more Considering he is capable of not only loving Cas but also not hating himself for it.

[until the knowledge that Mary is still alive and the guilt of allowing himself ANY happy thoughts instead of looking for her miserably rears its ugly head in 13x09 and round and round we go but for NOW at least -> ]

DEAN

I'll drink to that.

(oh look Dean is just wearing his henley. It’s almost as if a layer has been peeled back).

Just wanted to say Sequels Suck is a MASTERPIECE. I love how this story started as a slow burn since it allowed us to bond with the other characters and show Y/ns and Randy's rocky friendship. Slow burns are great for building characterization and slowly building the tension until the climax.

Imma be honest lmao I've been wary asf of Derek since the get go even before we as a character were sus of him in the story lol I think you said in an ask there COULD be a third ghostface and if he were to be it I'd LOSE MY SHIT. This isn't canon, so anything is possible and I'm scared 😭 I actually think realistically IF there is a third that'd it'd be Mickey since Derek literally rushed into the house to beat Billy's ass even tho he LITERALLY COULD HAVE DIED. Gotta give him credit, the man's got balls lmaooo an ingenuine person wouldn't have went that far for us.

Stu in chapter 10 didn't really have me sad, he just pissed me off with that mocking ass attitude 🙄 likeee he's acting like our betrayal didn't hurt us too. Didn't wanna hear a word we said and literally told us we might as well be dead. Ngl that hurt 😥 he's become so cruel to us and when we started crying in front of him I was like noooo bitch, he don't deserve your tears 🤐 not after what he did to you. The son of a bitch is even pretending his name is James 🤢 GOT US THROWING UP IN A BUSH.

I can't imagine them forgiving us ever lmao I find it sooo hard to believe this is gonna result in anything good for us bc the situation is THAT BAD. Stu refuses to ever protect us again and altho he's definitely more forgiving, it's obvious all bets are off. If Randy dies there's nooo doubt we will never forgive them bc Randy is our best friend and we care so much about him. It'll destroy us and Dewey dying will do the same thing. Move on, sure, but forgiving them? That's different. We better drag their asses in the future bc fuck them 😭 acting like we didn't save Billy's ungrateful ass and as if THEY DIDN'T LIE TO US TOO.

Now I just wanna pretend I moved on with our boys Randy and Derek just to make them jelly lmao taunt the fuck outta Billy for not catching us in platform sandals. IM READY TO DRAG THEM. We kinda dragged them lowkey in ch 10 BUT I WANT MORE 😤 Stu must have figured we'd survive the attack cause he litterally told us if we drop out someone's dying early and we can't drop out of college if we're dead. Must have figured if we survived that we'd run for the hills. Either way, I'm scared for everyone and I'm not ready to see us crumble 🙃😭

Yep, Stu is a self absorbed 'You hurt me and that's the only issue bc what about me???' (hot) jackass and Billy is a self righteous 'my way is the only way' (sexy) dickwad. It's their piss poor luck I write YN to be as realistic as I can and that means eventually dragging them across the mud like most of us would.

I was THIS close to writing this exactly like YN taking Sid's place and being there for two years but I thought 'No, that's why Scream 2 didn't feel nearly as authentic as Scream 1 bc we jumped straight into killings when at least Scream 1 had the fountain, Sid at Tatum's, the grocery store, the party that lasted a decent amount of time BEFORE the killings etc to show their friendships and interactions with each other. I was scared I was making YN unrealistic with being close to ppl she's just met but after two years of isolation; I think most of us would be hopeful with starting friendships again especially at college.

Yeeeaaaahhhhhh....The deaths are gonna suck. Big time. I can't say how but this is gonna work out in a really fucked up way by the end. 🥲💔 Especially since I'm taking this all the way to Scream 4 and maybe Scream 5 (Unless it turns out Stu is the killer in Scream 5 or something then either I'll end it at 4 or go completely AU for 5 bc what the hell can I do with that without YN being killed or killing Stu? 😭.)

My lips are sealed but this is a roller coaster and I don't even know who dies yet; just the ending 🥴🥴🥴

Arvin isnt a stalker, he just wanted to know where you live, turns out just across the woods. Lenora called him ‘freakin crazy’ while his grandmother called him ‘in love’. He wants to sneak you out so he does, he grabs his coat and nicer pants, he cleaned himself up, brushed his hair back with some water and brushrd his teeth.

“She is gonna love you man” he says to himself in the mirror, after checking himself out. He grabbed his keys and headed out.

You on the other hnd were right awake, thinking about the preacher and how disrespectful he was. “God he just seems-“ you cut yourself off, you were honestly having the second hand embarrassment, how it is to be in his place.

“Im not falling in fucking love, hes a white boy god dammit” you murmured, the room dark and the door closed while you placed your hands under your ear, closing your eyes.

Until you heard a light knock.

You jumped as you looked out your window, a hat appearing as hands start to open the window, you quickly got up and grabbed your heel. You grabbed the foot of it and held the heel up.

“Oh shit- how hard can it be to open a damn window?” You hear youre guessing a man groan, you walk up to the window and see white hands, your first instinct is to pierce it but you soon realize who it is.

“Shit arvin you scared me! I almost put a whole in your hand!” You whisper yelled as you put down the heel softly to not wake anyone up. You grab his hands and let him inside, softly planting his feet on the ground and looking at you with his chocolate brown eyes that the moon shone on.

“Hey” he let out a chuckle as he looked at you. “My dad is gonna kill me and you, what do you want arvin?” You ask seriously, placing your hands on your hips and honestly missing your bed.

“I-uh wanted to take you on a date- as i said theres a drive through and a movie is playing” “is this your ticket to makeout with me?” “I mean no- but that would be nice” you sigh, then you hear wood creak. “Shit! In the closet- NOW” you whisper yell, pushing him to the closet and closing it, throwing yourself on the bed and under the sheets.

Your door opens as your eyes are wide open, your father entering. “Why are you up? And why is your window open?” “Its hot and my head hurts a bit” “not sneakin boys in here are ya?” He switches on the light looking around in your room. “Now why would i do that, dad?” You let out a giggle. “I dont know, i hope you know your my little girl and your never leaving, ever” he lets out rather harshly. Arvin crinkled his eyebrows and mentally added notes about your father, now understanding what you meant earlier.

You gulp and nod, not wanting to answer. He smiles and turns off the light, closing your door all the way shut before stepping off. Sooner or later the closet door opened with a smiling arvin.

“Get changed! We gotta go!” He whisper yells, you smack your lips and sigh in defeat before getting up and walking over to your closet. “Well you gotta get out!” You say, he raises an eyebrow in confusion “of my closet?” He lets out an ‘ohh’ before standing up and dusting his pants off.

You take out some of your brothers jeans, a tank top and some 2 inch black heels. “Arent women not aloud to wear pants?” “So you arent a feminist?” Arvin lets out a ‘pffft’ “of course i am, Especially for you” “oh shut up and let me change” it became awkward of course as you had to hide yourself from arvin.

Of course you didnt have a bra on, so when you took off your night gown your breats slapped on your stomach, arvin just leaning against the window seal with his arm as he watchs you without hesitation “you are such a creep, i can feel you staring at me” you comment. He only giggles as he watches your back move, your glowing back move to put your black tank top on.

You turn to him and meet his eyes “turn around arvin” “why?” “So i can take off i pants?” “O-oh yeah” you give a smile while he turns around, dropping your pants still facing him you grab the jeans and slide them on.

Arvin really wanted to see you, he knows you arent shapped like these others, he wants to touch and admire you everywhere, every flaw would be his favorite part, he just needed his fingers on you. “You almsot done-“ “look?” You ask, he immediately turns around and meets your dressed body, well you didnt button your pants all the way, he smiled as he looked at you up and down “gorgeous” he licks his lips. “Havent took me on the first date” you remind him making him roll his eyes silently.

You both sat in the car, music distantly playing as he had his hand on your thigh, looking at you for some moments while you looked straight ahead. He looked again and you caught him “what?” You giggle, making him smile and blush “your like, really beautiful- i hope you believe me” you bite your lip and shrug “i dont know just yet”.

He bought you the famous pineapple upside down cake and some Bees Knees, as you guys pulled up in the drive through. “Scary movie, classic move arvin” you rolled your eyes. He only laughed as he continued to look for a spot “do like them?” “Yeah i do, which one is this?” “Only the famous Nosferatu” “cool” he chuckled as he parked his Chevrolet Bel Air in one of the best spots.

“I hope you dont think your getting me tonight” you look at him while he sios his drink, he only shrugs “you dont know” he winks. You smirk but turn away from him as you turn on the radio to the right channel, hearing the movie you grabbed a fork and took a bite out of the pineapple-cake.

About an hour in he tried his best to flirt with you. “Hey y/n” he said, you turned to him as he picked up the same fork you had and took a bite, sexually. You sucked in your lower lip to keep you from laughing as he continued to eat it and make eye contact with you. And then he wasn’t expecting it, you started cackling.

He didn’t understand why as he made sure to lick the fork clean. You were out of breath as he rolled his eyes and clenched his jaw. “I-im so-sorry” you only started to laugh harder “b-but that! I cant-“ “whatever” “dont get mad at me, im sorry” you sucked in your laughs and patted his shoulder, giving a playful frown as he looked back at you with his lips tucked to the side.

“Im not mad, no need to apologize hun” “oh we’re doing pet names?” “I mean, yeah” “alright sweetcheeks” you said as he smacked his lips and couldnt fight the urge smile.

He turned off the radio and turned to you, you had your heels off showing your pretty piggies that arvin laughed at, he looked up at you and seen you smiling at him. “What?” He asks, his cheeks slowly heating up. “Youre beautiful arvin” you complement as his cheeks become scarlet. “Your too sweet” he says back, biting his lip to stop himself from grinning more “well tell me about yourself, will ya?”

“What do you wanna know?” You ask as you lean back, your lower lip popping out over your top. “Your favorite color, movie something like that?” “Well, i like F/C my favorite movie is F/M my favorite food is F/F and i love rainy and cloudy days” “how come?” “My little brother, and because they are relaxing” you sigh and give a small smile.

“Well i like red, i dont really have a favorite movie? I love my grandmas cooking so i also dont have one, but i like sunny days- even though we rarely get those” he chuckles, you place your hand on top of his “how nice” you grin.

You felt happy but sad, you dont want him to feel that way at all, nobody deserves it, not even the racists deserve it. “Look let go of it, it was a moment and you are moving on” “you say that like it was a week ago” “oh well, arvin”

“So you snuck out last night?” Cloudy asks again for clarification, you look at him annoyed but nodded. He chukcled as he shuck his head “ what?!” You ask, slapping his arm as you guys walked down to the lake for a bit.

“Dad is gonna fucking kill you, do you even like this boy?” “We went in one date! And it was nice, we actually have an emotional connection” “how much?” He asks looking at you. “We talked the whole movie through” “i swear if he-“ “calm the hell down cloudy” you giggle, he only rolls his eyes as he huffs.

“I hope you know no one is gonna be happy” “well I guess im thankful for you” you wrap your arm around his arms, holding his shoulder in your hand and rubbing it some as he chukles. “How was school by the way?” You ask suddenly, he only shrugs as he looks at his moving feet “talk to me cloud”. “I seen lenora around and stuff” “did you talk to her?” “No” you sigh as you shake your head in disappointment.

“Well get out of your comfort zone- do something” you raise your eyebrow at him, slightly annoyed. “And who are you to tell me what to do?” He says, cocking the same eyebrow. “I am your sister, your older sister- the one who-“ “changed my diapers” cloudy mocks, already knowing what you were gonna say.

“Exactly, although we might not be able to do a whole lot of things that doesnt mean we cant bend the rules just a bit, right?” You give him a small smile as he chuckles “you are the exact opposite of dad” “i know- thats why you love me so much” you giggle as you take your hand from his shoulder and start walking normally side by side.

“Hey y/n?” Cloudy asked after a few minutes of silence, he looked at you as you hummed and told him to continue,” you know how you promise me and mom that youre gonna take us out of here?” You looked at him and nodded.

“Do you ever rethink it? Or even think about leaving us?” He hesitated. “Well- i dont pray, i dont work, and i barely help anyone. So sometimes i do think about it- think about if we do get stuck here, if we dont leave and if we are gonna stay miserable” “so yes?” You nod and poke your lower lip out.

“But when you saved lenora- do you think that god seen that as a good sign for you?- like arvin is a good sign?” He asks curiously, you only shrug and bite the side of your lip. “Are you telling me your believing in god now cloud?” You ask him. “I mean- he did make this earth right?”

You stop dead in your tracks and he follows turning to you as you put your hands on his shoulders and gives them a squeeze, making cloudy groan but pay attention. “Look here- i dont care that you belive in god- but what you wont do is put faith in that god damn preacher, ya hear?” You say sternly.

You were never really serious when you talked with cloud, you had no reason to be hard or hate him. Hes your younger brother after all right? But he knew when you gave him those talks he needed to agree, he always puts faith in you and believes what you say because your really all he has.

Dad is manipulative- whatever mom said to him was because dad told her to. When you were young you barely listened so he kinda gave up on you, so when cloudy was born you took him under your wing because you utterly refused for him to be brain washed by the asshole of a dad. Why did your mother even get with your dad? Because she was desperate and vulnerable.

She killed her brother, on purpose. Your uncle is sick- was sick. He tried to touch your mom also- to all the black folks she was the prettiest girl in the small town- and your father took advantage of it. Your mother was always a free woman and doesnt like to be trapped, but as she got older she grew tired and just gave up- just listened- it meant less work for her anyway.

He nodded “yes ma’am”. You give him a weak smile as you find yourself next to the river already. You heard giggles and the water waves as pictures flashed, then a strong punch. You silently slapped your brother as you told him to get down, both crouching knowing you had to get out of there.

“I want you to go the car cloud” you whisper at him, crawling ahead and turning to the bushes, slightly getting a view of the people- of course white people.

“Im not leaving you y/n-“

Shots fired.

“Get your dumbass to to the fuckin car NOW!” You whisper yell, cloud stunned but quickly taking the keys from you and running to the car. You start crawling more and see an old man, well mid-30s with a camera around his neck and a women fixing herself- and of course a dead man bare naked with bloody coming from between his legs.

You sat there, shaking, your hand making its way up to cover your mouth, your eyes widening with shock as they started to take care of it.

Now you knew better then to report it because it only meant bad for you, but what happend- what you just saw is absolutley horrible. You only froze and continued to watch almost forgetting about cloudy, you look back at the parked cars and back at the couple your guessing- but they’ve disappeared.

You took your chance now to run back to the car, lifting your pink dress and running in those combat boots. You saw cloudy basically mesmerized- paying no attention as he just looked ahead- the keys already in and the car started as you just drove away.
