[Here's a sequel of sorts to my previous story Soulmates (you don't need to have read it to understand this story). Now look, I don’t have a problem with gay people. My cousin is a lesbian. And Dylan is a great roommate. Stays out of my way when we’re not gymming together, but is always down to hang when I need someone to talk to. I just wish he would be less in my face with all his gay shit. Rainbow flags everywhere, blasting Ariana Grande at all hours, constantly bringing new Grindr hookups back to the apartment but giving me side-eye when I ogle women. It’s just… too much for me.

Here’s the thing. I might actually be able to change that. I have this friend Evan, who I’ve wingmanned for on a few occasions over the past year. One night, when we were getting drunk together, he shared his secret with me. He has a magic gift. He clasped my hand and said “tomorrow, you will wake up and have this magic too.” And sure enough, the next day I could feel a tingle coursing through my veins, and I automatically had the knowledge of how to channel it.

Now I have the ability to change somebody’s future. I can’t fiddle with anything that’s innate or has already happened to them. Like, I can’t just make Dylan straight. But I can shape his future decisions or actions, and my magic will make alterations to speed the process along. Like if I made him decide to work out more, he would basically become a muscle beast within the week. Not that I’d do that. I still gotta be the alpha here. I just want to make him a little more… palatable. Someone cool to kick back with all the time, even if he sucks dick. Let’s see... I think I know what will work.

Sports are my LIFE. I never cared about them much growing up, but about a month ago I felt the urge to join my local queer volleyball team and never looked back. It became my everything. It’s been great exercise, but on top of playing volleyball and getting totally jacked off of it, I’ve loved the sense of camaraderie. I love my team. So much so that I even pierced my nipples on a dare when we lost the semifinals. My teammate River also recommended I stop dyeing my hair, and I think the look is really working for me. For some reason, even though it’s only been a month, my hair has grown out significantly since then. Was the red dye stunting its growth or something? Anyway. I also feel like my roommate Tyler and I have really bonded. We’ve been watching baseball games together and I think he appreciates how into it I am. He says he’s excited to bro out while watching football together in the fall.

I love Tyler, but here’s the thing. Maybe I love him too much. I’ve always had this huge crush on him, and no matter how many random Grindr hookups I try to distract myself with, I just can’t stop hoping that one day he’ll give up women for good and decide he loves me. Especially now that we’re spending all this time together, bumping chests when our team wins and shit.

I know us getting together is never going to happen, but I have this… temptation. I was born with a gift. Or maybe I wasn’t. Something my twink friend Paul told me made me think maybe he had something to do with it. Anyway, I have the ability to reshape someone’s past. I change just one thing about their past, and everything about their present just ripples forward to reflect that change. It’s a delicate art. Changing something big can have huge effects that are totally unpredictable. It’s a major temptation to make Tyler gay, but who knows how he’d turn out. Plus, I think that’s just too invasive.

You dig the jacket? Yeah, I’m still a firefighter, I’m just off duty. But babes dig whatever look I rock, you know what I mean? I get what I want, and what I want is a lot of one night stands. Yo, I’m Dylan.

Yeah, I cut my hair shorter than the last time you saw me. The upkeep was just getting to be too much, y’know? A couple weeks ago, about the time I dumped that lame-ass volleyball team I was on, I just got bored with shaving every day, too. I invested in a trimmer and now I rock the stubble look, and it’s working for me. I’ve gained a bit of weight since then, and it’s all for the better because I joined my local football league. Having a few extra beers with my new buds afterward just adds to my potential as a linebacker, anyway.

I thought hanging out with more straight people would make me get used to their vibe and kinda inoculate me against Tyler, but I’m still totally obsessed with him. He’s more of a bad boy now, but I’m finding that less unappealing than I used to. Plus, he’s still parading around in his uniform all the time. I can’t help it! I’ve jerked off more times that I can count to his Mr. June photos in the local firefighter calendar.

Okay, that's cool. I never really knew a lot about Brazil, but I love learning more about it. Bruce is really mister worldwide lol.

Summary: (Y/N) is Brazilian.

According to Jason, Bruce has become mister Worldwide. Why, I might hear you asking? He, as a playboy, sleeps with a lot of women. One of those women was a Brazilian model and the two had a son together. Bruce took a DNA first because he didn't want to take any type of chances.

It wouldn't be a first time that a woman tried to claim that a kid was his, but wasn't. Turns out, DNA came back telling him that (Y/N) was his son. Thankfully, the woman was very understanding and Bruce sent her money every month and he would visit when he could.

Unfortunately, (Y/N)'s mom passed away when he was a teen and he came to live in the USA with his father and half brothers. It was a little bit weird at first, a new city, a father who is a vigilante, his brothers too, a butler who is their handler so to speak...

Either way, it was weird, but he was happy to be here with his family. That was something that he thought that Americans were lacking sometimes. That feeling of tight nit love and family. His family, including grandmas, grandpas, aunts and much more lived within a walking distance from him.

Okay, that may sound like Americans don't share that same sentiment about family, but (Y/N) didn't really see it. It may that in Brazil that is just amplified by 10 or it could be something else of course. However, his family is tight knit and very loving.

(Y/N) didn't think that he would have that here in America, but hey, he can't really complain can he.

However, there is a single thing he will fight until the day he dies. His fellow Brazilian men and women, his brothers and sisters would agree. Soccer is not football. Football is football, you play with your feet. That's why is so popular.

And that's why Europeans and Latinos went nuts for it. Honestly, (Y/N) watches every game with Brazil's national team, even if Bruce had to pay more for the program. He has the money. He can't let his son suffer, can he?

Also, American Football should be named American Soccer, because the ball is never on the ground. (Y/N) will die by that statement and he will fight everyone he needs to fight with to prove it.

Until his last breath and last drop of blood.

One thing he loves more than anything, alongside the football of course, is the famous Rio de Janeiro carnival. He made Bruce and the rest of the family go every single year with him. Thankfully, he still has his Brazilian passport with him.

And the family has a translator for when they go, because not a lot of people speak English, only in bigger cities and popular tourist sites. It's fun to see (Y/N) speak his native language with so much passion and everyone has decided to learn it to talk to (Y/N).

(Y/N) was proud and nothing but supportive, even though at times they were butchering the language, but it's always the thought that matters. And Portuguese is an easier language to pick up. (Y/N) even had some rewards for them.

Every time they could hold a some what correct conversation when it comes to grammar and vocabulary, they would get a dish from the Brazilian cuisine. It's the famous Feijoada and it's just (Y/N)'s favorite. Everyone loved when (Y/N) made it and it was with his grandma's recipe.

That's what motivated them to learn, because even Damian swore by that dish and he loved it the most. Bruce and the rest loved it, it was different then the rest of the American cuisine. Of course, (Y/N) introduced them to another dishes, but everyone loved the Feijoada.

(Y/N) knew it.

One thing he loves is listening to Anitta. He loves her music and they would often find him dancing while he was cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and other times. It made him happy and Bruce found (Y/N) humming the melody and the lyrics every day.

Everyone soon knew the lyrics to the songs and the melody. And besides, they are all learning Portuguese and it was fun to learn it that way. Dick found her songs great and listened to it during his workouts and Dick loved it.

And one thing that Bruce was proud of was the fact that (Y/N) didn't decided to assimilate. He still has his values and he wasn't afraid to say that he is Brazilian. If he has an interview he is often found correcting people and he is not afraid to say it.

Due to the fact that he is not afraid to say he is from Brazil, people of Brazil have claimed him and whenever he comes, they just shower him with love. He is extremely popular and Bruce knows he shouldn't worry about it, but still.

Bruce worries about his children all of the time, especially when they are in another country, especially on vacation. (Y/N) often told him not to worry and did Bruce listen?

No.

One thing more thing that made Bruce love Brazil more than anything in this world is the fact that they take their hygiene more than some Americans do. (Y/N) said to everyone that during the summer he would take 3 showers per day sometimes.

Damian found that interesting. Brazil is a humid and hot country, considering that it's a tropical country and the heat is often unforgiving.

(Y/N) said that the shower made him slow down and think about relaxing. He often clears his head and feels less stress afterwards. He has explained the shower routine, but still, the family they don't really understand it, but hey, as long (Y/N) is happy.

And one thing that Brazilians love doing that Bruce found nice was the way that they are affectionate. Kisses, hugs and touching. Of course, with consent. (Y/N) understood that not really liked it, but his family loved it.

Damian would often get picked randomly and hugged from behind. Damian would often grumble about it, but he loved it. Bruce loved the hugs and the rest loved the hugs too.

Bruce was just happy that one of them was normal emotionally. (Y/N) was trained in martial arts to protect himself, like everyone, but decided to not be a vigilante. He just couldn't be and Bruce respected it.

(Y/N) was their safety net and nobody would have it any other way.

Team Phantom decides to go to Gotham for a weekend of team bonding. Completely Jazz’s idea, but Sam was immediately on board because of the gothic architecture and Poison Ivy, and Tucker practically leaped at the chance to see Wayne Enterprises. Valerie was excited to potentially see a bat (and their toys) in action. Danny is just excited for the break. Dani joins them for funsies.

They go to a trivia night at a random bar. Something shady seems to be going on. Not their city, not their problem, thank you, but they’ll gladly beat the metaphorical pants off of everyone participating in the trivia night if it means not beating the literal pants off a ghost or criminal.

Dick drags the Batfam (Damien included) to the bar to investigate a smuggling ring or whatever shady thing is going on. They join the trivia night as a team so they can survey the place without arousing suspicion.

What started as a friendly competition between Team Nasty Burger and Team Bat Burger (or Team Ghostie and Team Brucie, or Team Half-Dead and Team Zombie, or Team Ghosts Aren’t Real and Team Discowing AKA The Best Costume. Somebody stop me, I could do this all day and they’d progressively get worse) turns into a full on rivalry on who has the most obscure knowledge between the two teams. And the questions just become more and more weird like:

What is Commissioner Gordon’s favorite drink?

What football team is millionaire Vlad Masters favorite?

Who is billionaire Bruce Wayne’s superhero crush?

Which city is the most haunted in America?

Who are the current CEOs of Wayne Enterprise?

How much caffeine can the average person consume before dying?

How many chapters are in the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen?

How many colors do *insert vigilante or criminal here* wear?

How many kids does Bruce Wayne have?

Tucker knows the answers to ALL of the questions about the Wayne’s which mildly disturbs both teams.

#1) Shin Soukoku

Sweet-natured Atsushi hides his anger at the world and doesn't tell anyone the fact that he lives in a group home.

Emo Akutagawa uses his coldness to hide his trauma and how he longs to find friends. Outside of school, he lives alone with his sister whom he raised.

At school Class President Kunikida is put together. His grades are perfect and he helps out other students. But he wishes others would be friends with him for other things besides his intelligence. At home, he clings to his ideals desperately, determined to be the perfect son and live up to his parents’ wishes.

Goofy clown Dazai hides his depression and mental illness.

Badboy Tachihara hides that he’s a runaway and lives on his own in the city. And that he’s a low-key nerd whose childhood friends with the student council weirdos . . . and that they’re all a member of an afterschool vigilante street gang called the Hunting Dogs . . . with abilities.

@nikstrange - love at first sight trope, college au. either all-star b-ball player heeseung (yandere) with ballerina reader, or college bad boy heeseung (still yandere) with ballerina/music study reader. my dear Nik would be very much like MGR/MRE/HHP Y/n, very graceful, realist, rational, and elegant type, dedicated and looking forward to her date with the football team captain....until good ol' Heeseung catches wind of the date and essentially steals her away by being a bit forceful but its all out of love. very similar to the heethan/readen type.

@silcry - enemies/rivals to lovers trope. Silky would be my successful career oriented (dont need a man because she a bad-b) type. and i'd pair her with Jay or heeseung. The male lead would be someone that works for a rival company or corporation and they literally just hate each others guts until some mad, intense, good old fashion smut comes along and it would be glorious. Not sure if i would have the male lead yandere per say, but they definitely be a bit possessive and territorial over her once they fucked worked out their hatred for eachother. ;)

@iamliacamila - forbidden love trope. she probably dont know this but i definitely thought of her alot when i draft the chapters of DT, so i would say the stepbrother trope (oh girl.....i'm sorry...i think? lol its good but also....damn.....two heeseungs? can you take that?) yeah stepbrother tropes. either one heeseung stepbrother or make it the heebro twins, either way, my dear camila would be my wise, hardworking and beautiful y/n who ends up attracting her newly acquired stepbrother (heeseung....and yes he would be yandere) and....i would imagine it where the moment heeseung would strike....would be at a family camping trip, where due to the shortage of tents, step siblings have to share a tent and......yandere step-brother heeseung be taking the opportunity to make her his...if you know,......you know.

@csmicvrse - forbidden love/criminal love trope. oh....my girl...idk why....but i'd have her with a trope that's very similar to the TO series. criminal heeseung (yandere) and my quiet and innocent baby girl, running a floral shop or a small boutique and catches the eye of yandere heeseung....who takes her (in the usual yandere fashion) and straight up keeps her locked away but takes suuuuuuuuch good care of her. like literally, gives her everything she wants. you'll see, future TO chapters you're going to get a hint of it.

@heeshees - childhood lovers trope. i just picture her being that sweet and beautiful girl next door that is always helpful. She befriends nerdy HS and they become really good friends....but then she had to move away. they keep in touch through email and two years later after they start college, they find out that they are going to attend the same university. when they finally meet to catch up...nerdy HS is not so....nerdy.....and he's yandere...for her.....has been for a long time. and while she may be dazzling her smile and just thinking he's being such a cordial friend, HS be planning behind closed doors to have her all to himself. (i love a good dark romance...dont you?)

@moonmoongi - Folklore love trope. Ever since Robin Hood, i can't get her out of the thought of having her as the princess or maiden that is saved by the dashing male lead....sort of a vigilante type, who discovers our girl and (yes....you guessed it) goes yandere for her, but a soft yandere. he lavishes her with gifts and takes her up on high buildings to stargaze. he'd give her the world....but watch out if you talk, look, or try to hurt her...Robin Hood or vigilante HS would be a brutal yandere.

@lisaaannna - damsel in distress love trope. she is so gentle and kind, but people would try and take her for granted....until heeseung or niki, comes around and i'd make them a mafia leader, they would be yandere for her and protect her.....by stealing her away. but, as usual, spoil her....to no ends. nobody can mess with her because HS or Niki would have connections and eyes everywhere. let someone try and mess with her....yo....you all know what those mafia leaders are capable of.

@vampiregirl215 - Dark fantasy/demonic love trope. Yeah...ever since SE7EN.....my girl is literally going to be the y/n for that type of trope. She be the mortal princess who loved and secretly wedded the demon prince heeseung. when a mortal prince tries to get sneaky by corrupting her father, the king, and convincing him to marrying her off so the prince could have her, demonic heeseung unleashes his wrath and gets her back. this would be one where i would make heeseung AND the villain both yandere for her, and that's what makes it interesting and the villain more dangerous.

@talesofyuan - past lives love trope. i'd pair her with kei and yo....this man be so yandere for her. they were lovers in their previous lives hundreds of years ago. reborn and living in today's world, they are strangers that meet, and their souls connect instantly and kei be having this instinctive urge to keep her. he'd be that yandere to that would be sooooo brutal but very sexy at the same time. sis is going to look at this and probably give me the bombastic side eye later lol. she knows i love her though.

There's an AU fic, which I love, where Jamie is Spider-Man.

Now I'd love to see Jamie gain Spider-Man's powers in universe and trying to be London's Spider-Man and keep playing football.

He doesn't tell Roy because he figures Roy would tell him doing both is unsustainable, but he's also starting to spend all his free time as a vigilante and canceling all his plans with the team, Roy, and Keeley, so they're all fairly suspicious that something's up and are very concerned about him.

All The Way To State

A Young Justice volleyball AU short story

Thad had never felt actually part of a team before.

Kon and Tim struggled to work with others, both being too stubborn to actually listen most of the time

Jaime had a voice in his head telling him to commit violent acts against people, and found that isolated him.

Bart kept too many secrets to really feel close to anyone. Sure he'd been part of a team, but he'd never really been PART of a team.

Cassie and Cissie always had their favorites and weren't very close to others.

Ed, Tye, Asami, and Virgil all had their own issues and friend groups. None of them really related well to the team.

Anita, Greta, and Jinny never really felt part of the team, either. They were always just outside.

But they made it this far together. Working together, growing trust and improving side by side. They'd just played their last regionals game.

It was nerve-wracking for all of them. Kon could hear everyone's hearts racing, including his own. Him and Thad had stepped out multiple times in order to cope with the sheer amount of noise.

It was rough. They'd had fights and gotten ill and injured, and of course the majority of them still had their vigilante lives to manage.

But they did it. The first set was a breeze, having won 25-9. The second set wasn't far off with a 25-11 victory.

But the third set was by far the worst. Kon kept hitting directly into the net, Thad's serves were off and kept flying out, Bart kept just /barely/ missing. Everyone hit the ball everywhere except where they wanted it to go.

But they did it. It was close, 25-23, but they won. They made it to state.

The moment the referee blew the whistle signaling the point was theirs, cheers erupted. From the audience, from their team, from everyone there to support them. Those on the court- Bart, Cassie, Cissie, Kon, Tim, and Ed- huddled up in a circle, cheering and shouting. Those not on the court jumped to their feet, running over and embracing their teammates. Fistbumps, high fives, and hugs were shared. There was a kiss between Cassie and Cissie. Thad even tolerated a hair ruffle from Jaime and a warm punch in the shoulder from Bart.

To make it all the more sweet, they knew that they had saved their sport. Rumors spread earlier in the year that volleyball might get removed in favor of tackle football if the team didn't make state. No one was sure of the validity. They'd even asked the principal and he hadn't heard of that rumor.

But if the rumor was true, then that made their victory all the sweeter. They were heroes. Not just at night, as Red Robin or Superboy or Impulse or Wonderful or Arrowette. They were heroes of their sport.

At least, at their school they were.

In the end, they couldn't wait for their next game. Win or lose, they were a team.
