this is my first post!!!! im so excited!! i have had an extremely annoying day and just wanted to write these down to cheer me up a bit- hope you guys like them as well :) some of these are self indulgent so forgive me. im writing my könig fic but its taking a while since finals are upon me :/ Warnings: NSFW at the bottom, I put an indicator before :)

He is an extremely active listener. If he’s standing and you are talking to him, he has his feet pointed towards you and his head ducked down a bit so he can hear you better since he’s so tall. Nods along to whatever you say and generally has attentive body language

Remembers the smallest details from any conversation. You tell him a story about your childhood pet and months later he will casually say the pet’s name in another conversation. It always takes you off guard a little

When he realizes he likes you, he panics. Writes frantically in his journal for about 3 hours about it.

You catch on to his little crush pretty quickly, given how he lingers near you more than anyone else and gets shy at the smallest interactions

When you finally confess to him that you feel similarly he is so incredibly happy but flustered. Had to take a cold shower that night to calm himself down

Gives you little gifts all the time (one of his love languages for sure). A drawing he did, a flower he saw on the side of the road, some candy he brought from home, etc

Also collects anything you may gift him. Hoards them and protects them like they are living and breathing

Goes through them on nights when you two have to be apart. He can be extremely sentimental

If you are an artist in anyway, he is your HYPE MAN. Hangs up your drawings/poems/photographs, whatever it may be, in his little dorm room

He melts if you cook/bake him something homemade. Like seriously might get choked up. He loves the smell of baked goods, it always makes him feel right at home. You always try to bake him something on his birthday and he is over the moon about it

Protective but knows you can handle yourself most of the time. Despite his introverted nature he will defend you loudly and aggressively if he senses that it’s necessary

He loves any little weird quirks you may have. You love the smell of clean laundry? He thought it was so cute when you would sniff the shirts coming out of the dryer

OH OH OH LOVES THE THING WHERE YOU HAVE ONE HEADPHONE AND HE HAS THE OTHER AND YOU LISTEN TO THE SAME MUSIC AND JUST HANG OUT. oh man

Accidentally bumps into/knocks you with his hands or arms soooo often. He’s a big boy who doesnt quite have spatial awareness sometimes

He feels so bad everytime it happens and just cradles your face in his hands and apologizing so rapidly (it never really hurts but you like the attention so)

If you dont know german he will give you a “german word of the day” and will say it to you the entire day in context until you guess what it means

Is so excited when you guess right

Not gonna be into PDA it’s too much for him. He’s just constantly your shadow 24/7 in public. The most is having a hand on your back or shoulder so you don’t get lost in a crowd

In private however. Clingiest boy alive (his other love language is physical touch)

I headcannon him as ginger, his hair slightly shaggy (haircuts give him anxiety so he does it himself when it starts to get in his eyes) and wavy

light freckles on his cheeks and across his nose!!!

With his blue eyes he is truly such a picture of beauty

He isn’t super weird about showing his face to you. When you start hanging out outside of work duties he doesn’t wear it, and appreciates that you dont bring attention to it

Sometimes you make a little comment about him being pretty and his face is on FIRE but he just quietly says thank you and has a little smile on his face

Compliments you shyly but often, will not make eye contact with you when he says it

Writes you super heartfelt notes that he will leave you to find because he can better express himself that way

Don’t get me wrong though he has his moments where he can be very very cocky!!

For example: right after a successful mission when he is still riding the adrenaline rush, he is much touchier with you even in front of others

If you need him to reach something he loves that and gets a little power trip. Teases you and makes you jump to get it from him a bit

You're like those forbidden strawberry tarts from his youth. He knows it's bad, but he can't help wanting to indulge even if it breaks rules. He's been so good. Surely he's allowed one treat! If it makes you feel any better, he was just as anxious as you were when he mixed that stuff into your drink.

And the twins... oh, the twins. >_< terrible. Their mother babies them incessantly. In canon, it's noted that she tends to call them frequently (nearly every day) because she worries. So she absolutely spoils them rotten. Those are her babies; of course she will! Papa Leech is just as adoring, I'm certain, but then I feel like his love is more of a "tough love" type. In any case, the twins won't accept the word no because they're so used to just getting things. Those sturgeon scales they proudly wear? Those were won through a fight. They want and then they take. It's simple.

So the fact that you'd tell either of them no... Unheard of. All of Floyd's smiley pretenses drop when you reject him. Jade can keep up his own placidity, if only to give you another chance so that you won't whine about how unfair it was in the aftermath: "Would you like to think more carefully about your decision?"

to see youre jealous is confusing to him because why should you? he literally only expresses his feelings to you so why are jealous? and have you seen yourself? nobody can ever compare to you. wouldnt get mad at you but if anything he wants to punch your intrusive thoughts and jealous thoughts. he knows how it feels and its not a nice feeling at all.

whether or not you jokingly get jealous or cry from it, he would reassure you by embracing you and kissing you gently. he is not good with words but he tries to affirm with that he only loves you and that is in fact true. if only you knew how much he would literally would die for you and choose u in every other universe.

she flirts a lot but once she settles down with you be prepared because she will only flirt and be so so sweet to you. when she sees others she is quite nonchalant compared to before but since her voice is naturally sultry you sometimes cant tell if she is flirting or not.

can easily read you when youre jealous and would reassure you the way you need to be reassured. you need space? okay thats fine with her too while she prepares something for you like a movie to watch and your favorite food.

likes that you get jealous for her because she knows you really care a lot for her. you may never ever suspect this but kafka can get jealous too. she is just good at hiding it but if you look into her eyes oh you know she will bite (mark you too) at whoever is being flirtatious to you.

he is also very much similar to blade. keeps to himself most of the time and likes to be alone but he loves your company. why would he need anybody else’s opinion if he could just ask you?

if you do get jealous, he would first reassure you 101% and then he would give you a logical approach/response to what is happening. he would give you a huge tight hug so that you can forget about your irrational thoughts for at least a minute.

would purposely wear your belongings so people would avoid flirting with him or approach him in general. he secretly wants you to do the same except he will never say a word. when he is jealous he would be a bit petty or not say a word or he might ask you a serious question like “am i comedic enough for you?”

tsukishima spots you eating with hinata and kageyama, stuffing a meat bun into your mouth with a smile. the boys had brought home another nationals win, and you were all having a get together at daichi’s place. tsukishima sits down across from you, smirking.

the words leave his lips easily, and you want to spit out your food. you notice everyone’s eyes on you, and you try and get the meat bun down as fast as you can. you know tsukishima can be a jerk with his little comments, but there was no remorse after this. even after being together, his comments would still sting, even though he didnt mean for them to. but what did change was his apology afterwards if he noticed that he hurt you.

you dont speak for the remainder of the party. you just sit on the couch, scrolling through your phone. you were waiting for tsukishima’s apology, but it never came. surely he had seen your reaction.

“y/n, you ready to go?” tsukishima’s voice cuts through your thoughts. you nod silently, walking home with him.

it doesnt hit him until you’re in bed before him, facing the wall in one of your pajama shirts. not his. usually when the two of you come home from parties, you spend some time together. getting into bed, tsukishima moves to pull you close, hands on your tummy where they usually rest. you tense.

“hey, what gives?” tsukishima asks, propping himself up on his elbow. “you dont wanna cuddle?”

you shake your head, blinking back tears. tsukishima is about to flop back down when he hears a sniffle.

“y/n?” he asks, voice softer. “are you okay?”

“no.”

your voice sounds so broken, making tsukishima sigh softly. he gently wraps his arms around you.

“i’m sorry for what i said.” he says gently. “i didnt mean to hurt you. i was going to apologize sooner but dumb and dumber pulled me away.”

you sniffle again, wiping your eyes. “it’s fine.” you mumble.

“love, its not fine.” tsukishima sighs. “you know i love you more than anything in this world. i never mean to hurt you with my comments. i know your weight is a sensitive subject for you, and i’m sorry. if you want, i can sleep on the couch tonight.”

when you don’t respond, tsukishima goes to grab the spare blanket and pillow for when he makes a particularly snide comment and you dont want to speak to him. you sit up, looking at him. your cheeks are streaked with tears and your nose is slightly red.

“don’t go.” you say softly. “i love you.”

tsukishima gets into bed, pulling you close. he places a gentle kiss on your forehead, closing his eyes.

“again, i’m sorry for hurting you, y/n.” he says softly. “you’re absolutely amazing and perfect, and i cant believe that you’d love a jerk like me. i’m so thankful to have you in my life.”

you thank the alcohol for letting tsukishima be slightly more open with his emotions. he never spoke like that unless he was drunk, but he showed his love for you in different ways, like sharing his strawberry shortcake with you.

there are two constants in tsukishima’s life: his love for strawberry shortcake, and his love for you.

bokuto is a people person, through and through. he loves the attention, and he cant get enough of the fans swooning over him. until you came along, he was nearly overwhelmed by all the attention.

after a particularly good game against shiratorizawa, bokuto is flocked by attractive looking fans. before he can even get to you to receive his post game you-did-amazing-kiss, he was pulled in several different directions for questions. you didnt really mind it if you were honest. dating bokuto came with him talking to fans before going to kiss you after a game, and you were fine with that.

a few attractive girls walked up to bokuto, giggling at him, asking for pictures, the usual.

by the time bokuto is done, you’re crying even more. he takes this as a sign to take it up a notch. he knows that you might not be crying from sadness anymore, but you aren’t smiling just yet.

“are you insecure about this?” bokuto asks, gently holding your tummy. “this adorable thing? what about this?”

he goes around, gripping your thighs, your arms, and even your butt. by the time he’s done, you’re laughing. you turn around and hug bokuto, who you have just realized has not taken a shower yet, and smile.

“thank you kou.” you say, softly kissing his cheek. “i love you so much.”

bokuto smiles, returning your kiss. he’s happy that you’re smiling again, and makes sure that you know that he’s not above making an ass of himself just to see you smile.

osamu’s love language is service and gifts. he loves making you food, letting you try new menu items before he puts them out, and is generally just a big foodie (duh). it’s natural that he’d have a slightly bigger partner because of his time working at onigiri miya. he’s gotta have someone comfortable with eating some of the concoctions that he makes.

you sit on the kitchen counter, swinging your legs happily as you watch osamu cook. he’s in his element, humming along to the soft music that he has playing. he’s making you a new dish to try, slightly nervous because he’s the most excited about it.

“okay love,” he says, placing a plate next to you. “go ahead.”

you pick up the rice ball, which is shaped like an actual ball and covered in a sweet dark sauce, and lift it to your lips. you sigh, content with how absolutely delicious it is.

“baby this is amazing!” you say, noticing osamu’s nervous expression.

osamu sighs with a smile, kissing your temple. “can i take a picture for the onigiri miya instagram page?” he asks against your skin.

you pose, smiling sweetly as you hold up the newest menu item. osamu snaps the picture, uploading it with a smile.

“you’re so adorable.” he says, hugging you. “still cant believe you’re mine.”

you smile, pecking his cheek. it’s weird, being doted on like this. you know that he and atsumu have been super competitive all their lives, and you knew that osamu almost never got the girls. it was always atsumu. you never knew why; he was such a sweetheart. he always took care of you, made sure that you never went hungry, gave you kisses and snuggles, and give you pleasure that you didnt even know you could experience.

osamu’s phone buzzed on the counter, dozens of notifications coming from people commenting and liking the post. you glance over, reading the first comment you see:

osamu was observant. he watched your entire aura change as you scrolled on your phone. he took it out of your hands, wrapping his arms around you. he scooped you up from the counter, walking with your legs wrapped around his waist until he sat on the couch.

you cant help but sniffle, rereading some of the comments in your mind. you go to move off of osamu’s lap, but he holds you tighter.

“don’t listen to ‘em.” he says softly. “you are so amazing and so much more than whatever weight you are. you’re mine, and that’s all i could ever want. i love you as you are, and dont let some idiots get ya down.”

he strokes your hair, trailing his hand down your back just how you like. the two of you sit silently for a bit, your head on osamu’s shoulder.

“love you ‘samu.” you mumble quietly against his neck.

osamu’s phone buzzed with a text, undoubtedly from atsumu. osamu pushed his phone away until atsumu called him, making osamu groan. you giggled.

“what do ya want, ya pest?” osamu groaned.

“do ya see how they’re treating y/n in the comments on your most recent post??” atsumu all but yells. “i’ve been replying to comments for the past 15 minutes telling ‘em to lay off.”

“i have. i’m letting them get their 15 minutes of fame.” osamu replied. “i’m comforting y/n right now because the comments are getting to them.”

“i told one of them that they look like their family tree is a circle.” atsumu said, a smile clear in his voice. you couldnt help but laugh.

“thanks bro.” osamu said, a smile on his face as well. “i’ll let you keep harassing em, i got more important matters to attend to.”

hanging up the phone, osamu leans over and kisses you. he peppers kisses on your neck, leaving goosebumps in their wake. you shiver, gasping when he sucks on your neck.

“how about we go upstairs and i help you forget about all those idiots and show you how much you mean to me, hm?”

you cant help but nod. the new menu item is put up the following week, and osamu really drives home the fact that you are perfect just the way you are by letting you ride him for hours the night of the menu’s new debut.

tendo grabs your wrist gently, pulling you to ushijima. he knew that ushijima wasnt one for confrontation, but tendo was more than happy to go off on someone in his place. you wipe your misty eyes as you follow.

“actually,” tendo squints, looking at the name sticker on the lady’s jacket. “aiko, is it? i know my buddy toshi here wont say it, but i will. putting someone down because you wish you were in their place is very ugly. ushijima is with y/n because he loves them. all there is to it.”

“this interview is over.” ushijima says, turning to you. “i’m sorry babe, lets go get something to drink.”

you glance over at the lady, giving her a nice smile before you walk away.

“lets go get trashed!!!” tendo yells, allowing a chorus of cheers from the other teammates to fill the banquet hall.

webcomics*! webcomics baby!!! i grew up reading these bad boys like they were the sunday funnies. im serious i would get up early in so i could check my daily roster of webcomic updates before leaving for school.

webcomics sort of feel to me like my generations version of zines. not that both those things arent still around, i just mean that, in the same way that there was this big boom of super creative zine self-publishing in the 70s through the 90s thanks to the increasing access to copy machines, and later home printing, the early 00s-10s was sort of the moment people seemed to collectively realize they could kind of just upload whatever they wanted to the internet and people would actually see it, leading naturally to another boom in indie art and storytelling.

a lot of the comics that popped up around this time were sort of... rough. raw. weird. there were no rules about what a webcomic had to be other than 1) a comic and 2) on the web, so there was some freedom to be as messy or as precise as the author wanted. this led to some real bangers, and some absolute flops. but regardless of how it turned out i think theres something to be admired about the sheer amount of creativity going into these projects that, for the most part, were purely passion-driven without any guarantee of greater recognition or success.

obviously webcomics are still around, but the culture surrounding them has shifted quite a bit. most people who are willing to put in the work of a longform serialized comic In This Economy are also doing so with the hope of being able to profit or at least sustain themselves financially on their work. theres no shame in that! but it has made the webcomic scene more competitive, more polished, less experimental. capitalism at work, you know.

people arent really as incentivized to try new things and dare i say get a little weird with it when innovation doesnt pay the pills. however that doesnt mean that there arent still artists out there who are challenging that.

i got the idea a while ago that i wanted to put together a list of webcomics that have been really influential to me and my own creative efforts, but i realized that list would be a mile long and wouldnt really give me the breathing room to talk about why those works resonate with me. so i decided instead to make a list specifically of my (currently) most beloved, most influential webcomics that i feel like are doing something unique that sort of pushes the boundaries of what is considered a "normal" comic.

presented in no particular order, with all attempts made to be spoiler-free, below:

nasty red dogs and feast for a king by kosmicdream (18+)

delicious, dark, meaty comics. ffak in particular is like this massive sprawling scifi stream of consciousness thick with blood and viscera and. a lot of highly transsexual erotic cannibalism tbqh.

personally i find nasty red dogs a lot more like easy to get into story-wise, but both are just chockablock full of this beautiful grotesque unapologetic and downright indulgent physicality. its pages dripping with every fluid you can think of and some you cant, and its also compelling surprisingly empathetic characters set against a backdrop of otherworldly rituals, cosmic pre-apocolypses, and worlds inside of worlds inside of worlds. body horror heaven lives here.

mr boop and crimehot by alec robbins (very 18+)

if youre at all into weird webcomics youre probably already well familiar with mr boop, and if you arent theres really nothing i can say other than Please give it a shot, but if you havent been keeping up with alecs work since then you might not be as familiar with his current project crimehot. and thats a damn shame because it is all the comedy, unabashed horniness, and surprisingly understated storytelling of mr boop taken to its absolute max.

crimehot is set in a future where nearly every aspect of human life and culture is controlled by an all-powerful all-seeing computer algorithm. but who cares about all that when theres a ragtag team of ultra sexy ultra horny master thieves going on wacky little misadventures together!

alecs style is blunt and simplistic in a way that comes off as juvenile at first glance, and then uses that presumption to completely blindside you with its actual content, reminding me weirdly enough of memeable classic tails gets trolled. in spite of their potential as works of ironic comedy however alecs comics really give me this impression of total earnestness. crimehot in particular is so blatantly un-erotic, with its complete lack of any subtlety, comically exaggerated (and surprisingly diagetic) anatomy, and impossible physical positions, that it circles back around into becoming, indeed, kind of hot. i think silliness can be hot so sue me!

blind alley by adam de souza

departing completely from my last couple recs, blind alley is a cozy, peanuts-inspired comic strip about the day to day lives of the children of blind alley. its also occasionally a deeply unsettling horror-mystery that has just barely begun to show its hand more than two years in. its distinguishing factor to me comes from the fact that the cozy exterior doesnt seem to be there to conceal or divert your attention away from the growing sense of unease that infiltrates its panels on an increasingly frequent basis as the story progresses. it feels more like the two elements live side by side, horror and mundanity, otherworldly creatures and secret conspiracies living peacefully alongside lazy summer afternoons and goofing off with your friends. it perfectly captures the anxiety of knowing that theres something the grown-ups arent telling you, the powerlessness of being a kid.

blind alley feels to me sort of like if those "what if Nostalgic Cartoon was secretly DARK" media theories were actually real, and actually scary. i might be getting ahead of myself as the series likes to take its time and is really only just starting to peel back the layers, but what ive read so far feels makes me feel like this could be something very special.

boy island by leo fox

beautiful beautiful beautiful first of all. the dreamy, surreal visuals? the colors?? oujhjh.. boy island is set in a world split violently in two, divided into boy island and girl island, and surrounded on all sides by a sea of monsters mutants and ghosts, those sorry souls who committed the trespass of trying to cross from one land to the other, or even live outside of either! a boy named lucille must strike out on his own to make it to boy island, but in doing so begins to discover things about the world and in fact himself that reveal an even greater mission.

im making this all sound very dramatic. its a trans story. its about trans people, being trans. its also about surviving the ripples of a world laid out for you by your parents, managing grief for the ones that didnt, and a funny little blue guy named jounce. also did i mention its gorgeous? hot fuckin diggity it is gooorgeous.

vivians ghost by hal schrieve (18+)

speaking of trans comics!! (plot twist: theyre all trans comics suckerrrr) look, all of hals comics are fucking baller and im sure the book zes got coming out will be too, but ive like Imprinted on this one. its attached itself my brain. much like the main protagonist collin has been attached to by his suicide victim best friend and ex highschool bf viv!

the sketchy art style threw me off at first but it quickly becomes part of the charm and meshes very well with the chaotic pace and gutpunch emotional moments. theres a strong element of magical realism that i honestly think comics as a medium were made for. viv is a ghost, and viv is grief, and guilt, and fantasy, and shame, and glorious trans revenge taken form, and hes not even the only apparition in this story, taking the stage alongside cameos by jesus christ, a detransitioners fursona, almanda palmer, and (checks notes) gonzo for a second there i think.

as a disclaimer (or incentive, depending) no one in this story i think is someone you could really call a good person. some of them are in fact plainly terrible. they are all so undeniably fucking fascinating though. and viv himself gleefully inhabits that moral gray area, deliberately and loudly disturbing any image of himself as a pure perfect victim, blurring lines and thrusting both the characters and audience out of their comfort zone. its a challenging read thats not going to be everyone for sure, but i definitely think its worth the read.

(and if this sounds interesting to you but youre not sure you can handle it, hal has other equally good comics that are still heavy on the trans gay relationship drama but much lighter on the childhood trauma.)

what happens next by maximumgraves

if youre reading this on tumblr i hope that youve at least heard of what happens next by now. thee seminal tumblrina art of our time i swear. it starts with a true crime podcast exploring the strange story of griffin and his accomplice milo, trans teen murderers, the latter of which has since been released from the psych hospital while the former continues to serve his sentence. but thats in the past, and in the present milo still has to figure out how to live the rest of his life.

the story moves rapidly, though not necessarily chronologically, in and out of the real world and the online lives its characters frequently inhabit like its guiding you through a twisted dream. its a comic on the internet about the internet from someone clearly well aware of its more poisonous aspects, as well as the addictive quality it can have for someone who has become otherwise isolated from the world.

at the end of the day though the major appeal i think is the characters, how messy and horrible and tragic they can be, which is all you can really hope for from a largely character-driven narrative. to say much more i think would ruin the experience, but ill say what happens next absolutely delivers on its ominous title, and im waiting on the edge of my seat for the next chapter.

preeny has to repeat 6th grade by momodriller

on a Much lighter note, preeny has to repeat 6th grade is a super cute adventure series about a magical little kitty named preeny who on her first day of sixth grade is called upon to go on a great mission. its a sparklefur comic!! ive been really starting to dive into furry art lately, and if youre the kind of person who raises an eyebrow at that statement, fine, whatever, but im talking to the cool people right now so keep it to yourself.

art from within the furry subculture is such insanely creative and passionate stuff, and the focus on this subset in particular, calling back to the early 2000s deviantart xD rAWR s0 rand0m era of online culture, feels so intensely nostalgic it makes my chest ache, despite never being heavily involved in the sparklefur scene myself.

the author states in the comics description that the story takes inspiration from her experiences as an autistic child, and even before reading that man i felt it. what really makes this comic unique to me though is that the majority of characters that appear are based on adoptables the author purchased off of, as she puts it, the children of deviantart. i LOVE that. not only is that probably amazing for the kids, it makes every character feel truly unique and adds perfectly to the overall flavor of the world shes created. there is just not another comic i can think of that feels alive like this one.

broccoli soup by secretpie

ok so i know how we might feel about webtoon comics but hear me out. broccoli soup is probably the first comic ive seen to really exploit the otherwise sort of bland and restrictive format of webtoons, utilizing the excess of white space to enhance the feeling of emptiness that characterizes the protagonist broccoli's time in the blank void they call home as well as to make the sparse use of color really pop in contrast.

broccoli soup is a mysterious series thats a little hard to pin down in terms of genre. a strange little being named broccoli spends their days in a vast blankness drinking tea with their loving yet highly suspicious Best Friend and benefactor, doris. doris has the ability to move between worlds, coming and going as she pleases, while broccoli is only allowed to leave when they are on a mission on her behalf. these missions vary, but the goal is always the same: make everything Polite and Good.

as the story progresses, little by little more friends and more color come into broccolis still new existence. the art style also changes from world to world, which imo is a very nice touch. and! theres music! its an interesting project that dances back and forth between fantastical whimsy and some surprisingly dark moments. and thats the shit i like to see.

thats all for now! though if im lucky there will be many more fun stories and projects to talk about in the future. keep in mind as well that this is like barely half of all the webcomics im currently reading, just the ones that most stick out to me as really doing something special.

this ones still a little new to say much on but so far it looks like a cute series. what most appeals to me is that the art style looks like something that fit in seamlessly with an early 90s newspaper comic strip. in particular it has a strong calvin and hobbes vibe to me. just, you know, about wacky lil lesbian animals living their lives.

Asriel & Toriel | Chara & Asgore

So, we all know the Dreemurr family loved each other very much.

However, parents and kids can have favorites, and I believe that Asriel and Toriel / Chara and Asgore were specially close. 

Here’s proof for each duo (that I got from memory):

Asriel & Toriel:

- Asriel/Flowey, even after trying really hard and failing every time, really believed that being with TORIEL would make him feel love again, feel like himself again. And I think that says a lot.

To be honest while I searched through screenshots, Toriel seems to love her children pretty equally (she is THE goat mom so I get it). But Asriel definitely seems to have been closer to her than his father (not that he doesn’t love him as well of course).

- Toriel obviously still misses Asriel deeply, and has a lot of regrets. She is a bit too drunk in this scene but I like to think she managed to recognize Asriel in flowey somewhat. But that’s more like self indulgence on my part.

-  Asriel/Flowey still loves Toriel very much. Even before Frisk fell into the underground and he still had his view of “kill or be killed” - he still was empathetic enough to give her a glass of water everytime she passed out. So he cares, always have, just doesnt want to admit it. 

(I would also mention how Flowey still hanged around in the ruins all the time. Some would say he was just waiting for humans to fall down or something, but I say he just liked to be around Toriel and I will die on this hill).

- I always found it interesting how Asriel hesitates before saying Toriel’s name here. Of course, he didn’t mention Asgore because Frisk didn’t spend that much time with him but considering previous proof, I’d like to include this here anyway.

Annnnd that’s all I could find (from memory) for them! Feel free to add to this!

Chara & Asgore:

Surprisingly for me, I found a lot! Really thought it was gonna be the other way around here.

- They both seem to have a great love for flowers and gardening! They probably bonded a lot through it.

- Asgore specifically recalling the “feeling of hope” in Chara’s eyes. I thought it was sweet :)!

- It’s heavily implied that Chara was the one that made the sweater. Asriel could have helped, but considering that in the No-Mercy run, Chara doesn’t have a special comment towards the macaroni art that was also made for Asgore - you could safely assume that Asriel made the macaroni art and Chara made the sweater. It was also probably very big and a lot of work, Asgore is a very big monster after all.

- Flowey being extremely sure that Asgore would show the souls to Chara, even after not showing it to Asriel (since that was probably one of the ways Flowey tried to get to them). You can argue it would be because Chara/Frisk would be the last human and Asgore would show it when fighting them..but it doesn’t really fit with the way Flowey says it I think, it was very specifically Chara.

- Chara and Asgore shared love for tea... and how Asgore’s favorite tea is the golden flower tea. Since golden flowers only bloomed in the underground after Asriel and Chara died, and it was Chara’s favorite flower, They probably told Asgore about how you can make tea with them and reccomended it to him. I wish they could have enjoyed it together.

-he didn't get all of his tattoos in one sitting, and he actually has a few he gave to himself. some of the tattoos look like normal earth tattoos, but theres also a few that have cool effects to them. color-changing, moving slightly, shapeshifting from one creature to another, etc. etc.

-he gave himself a little sailboat tattoo in case he ever lost the photo. he also gave himself an axolotl after he met Jheselbraum

-when he was fresh into the portal, hed join other interdimensional travelers, make companions...he stopped after a while because the grief he felt every time he inevitably lost them became too much. he still misses the ones he did have, though. he gave himself a constellation tattoo to remember them- a star for each one.

-he has perhaps too many tattoos. most of them end up being covered up by scars, though

-speaking of scars- ford lost his right arm sometime while he was in the portal. An "anomaly" bit it off. He has a prosthetic now (in the future, he's going to keep forgetting to mention this to stan. which is. definitely not going to cause any problems at all (sarcastic))

-he has several scars that either look weird (slightly glow-in-the-dark, shimmers, etc.) or healed in strange patterns because they were caused by weapons very much not intended to interact with human flesh

-he has a lot of "speckle" scars all over him. theyre from corrosive rain

-Jheselbraum has been thoroughly established as a sort of secondary mother figure in his mind. She has also been given this role by many, many other versions of Ford. she is the space mom

-he once met a moth version of himself who borrowed a gun from him and never gave it back. hes still upset about that. no, he has not realized the connection

-he once held a full conversation with another version of stan without noticing who he was talking to. in his defense, it was dark out

-at some point, he developed a tapetum lucidum and nictitating membranes. this is the incredibly self-indulgent biology-hyperfixation-induced headcanon

-he thinks he can handle smoke and toxic air better because of how much time hes spent not being able to breathe properly. its actually made him more sensitive to things like that

-he has gotten better at not being poisoned though. this comes from years of eating random mushrooms and plants and bug-adjacent creatures. this doesnt apply to raw meat as much, but he can definitely handle it better than most other humans

-every now and then, the hyperfixation excitement will outweigh how horrible he feels all the time and he'll just end up staring at some sort of weird creature and taking mental notes about it for a really long time

-sometimes he'll name random creatures he sees just to kill time. waiting for your food to finish cooking? give your local fish-bird-thing a name

-he doesnt know this, but hes actually seen a few creatures that are considered cryptids in those dimensions

-his favorite dimensions are the ones filled with wildlife and starry skies and vibrant colors. theyre not nearly as common as youd think they are

-hes gotten more used to speaking non-earth languages than earth-languages. as such, hes started using lots of phrases that have...interesting translations in english

-he forgets how to speak sometimes. it used to be more distressing, but he doesnt typically come across many creatures that can understand language anyway. its more of an annoyance than anything at this point

-hes gotten really good at mimicking the calls of other creatures. really good. possibly too good (he will use this power for evil in the future. to terrorize his brother with seagull noises)

-this is technically post-portal, but he adapts the creatures hes seen into homebrew enemies and races in his DD&MD campaigns

-also post-portal, but he'll sometimes forget that that weird thing hes looking at is. yknow. weird and not just a normal part of life in this dimension. this is one of the two reasons why he asks stan to point out anomalies to him
