if you have to specify that a term is gender neutral every time you use it.... perhaps it is not as gender neutral as you think.

I love that my guy group just... Dont care about genders and such.

My username have always had an Mr in it. I don't think any of them questioned it. Fabian has one account with 'Lady' in it. We regularly say 'girl/queen' to each other. And they call me dude and bro

It's such a small thing obviously but I really like how that's always been the way we have had it

Sometimes I think about how being punk and being queer really impacts each other despite having no relations whatsoever.

Sometimes I think about how I could never fit into society's standards, but I never wanted to, anyway, so it's fine.

Sometimes I think about the gender binary, and I didn't fit, so I just said, fuck that.

Sometimes I think about how much more colourful my style has gotten for all the pride to mix into it.

Sometimes I think about how finding my own style, making my own outfits and hair made me so happy with my looks and body that I just completely skipped Typical Teenage Body Issues as well as dysphoria.

Sometimes I think about that. And then I'm really happy to be both.

#the thing is. its reallly interesting to see how that impacts each other #like by the time i started to get uncomfortble with being too girly? i had a mohawk by then. which is neutral enough #that i just never had dysphoria or any body issues. i mean ive also been raised with a high self esteem #but i really just skipped out on body issues due to finding my style and wearing clothes that make me go !!!!!! in happy #i hacked some of the puberty issues lol #i just realised that btw so thats why im rambling lol #but also being queer has given me so much stuff to think about and play with #fuck societys expectations and fuck gender go very well together #all the rainbow and pride flags look stunning next to the 'antifa' and band logos #a biscuit's rambles #punk and queerness can be so intertwined with one another actually

10 More Booktok Books I Refuse To Read

Why am I doing this again? Well, I'm a bitch and feel like I've been rating books very highly lately so I need an outlet for the hater energy. Trying to keep the blog chaotic neutral!

*Disclaimer: If you like any of these books, slay! I'm happy for you! These are just my own consumer choices, and imo negative book reviews are just as helpful as positive ones!*

1. Twisted Love (& Series)

will HATE the love intrest

too straight for my gay ass

as an Anna, I cannot condone this spelling so out of principle I will not read her books <3

2. The Fine Print (& Series)

Crusty billionaires aren't sexy

I repeat its too straight for my gay ass

I was born on December 5th which is the same day Walt Disney died and idk I just feel weird about it

eat the rich

I've had another one of Lauren Ashers books on my TBR for like a year and I keep putting off reading it (even tho its about F1 and Im obsessed with F1) so theres no hope of me reading and enjoying one about something I dont care about

3. A Little Life

I have enough mental illness without reading this book

I have enough queer trauma without reading this book

I'm not okay enough to read this book

Seriously though, this would be way too triggering for me and im chosing to prioritize my mental health over reading popular and critically acclaimed works (you all should too <3)

4. One Of Us Is Lying

I don't typically like Y/A thrillers

generally doesnt intrest me -> im getting tired of thrillers and have started leaning towards straight up horror

I HATE the cover

5. Inheritance Games

I've been burnt out of this genre/type of book since the 2000s-2010s dystopian craze

my housemate hated it and I trust his opinion

6. Lightlark

...do I really need to say anything

7. House In The Cerulean Sea

white author profiting off of indigenous trauma

mishandling of indigenous genocide (i.e the 60's scoop)

paints the residential school system as "not that bad"

I know the above books haven't been that serious but this one absolutely is and I will link information and resources in the comments. I put this one so low because I know if it was first people would just skip this whole post and potentially not look into the history of why this book is problematic.

8. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

theres too much hype and i don't want to be dissapointed

9. The Love Hypothesis

galaxy leggings

I wont be able to overlook the cringy millenial humor

it will transport me back to 2016 (in a bad way...see above)

im too gay for that (I can be convinced to read bride tho👀)

10. From Blood and Ash

I have no good reasons tbh

but today is reis birthday! ☆ since its his birthday i wanted to rant a little about him and how he was born into the yuumeverse... and some older versions of him (click read more)

i think i should also note rei goes by any pronouns (of course you have black hair and pronouns) so you guys dont get confused on why im calling him.. him

so, this is reis most oldest design. he was originally thought to be bullied because he always dressed fem but claimed he was a boy, also that he has anger issues (jst like me fr...)

he loved "being a girl", dressing fem and felt more like himself but still didnt really like getting called a girl. he felt more comfortable with being more gender neutral

overtime, she felt more comfortable with being called a girl tho, she eventually didnt mind any kinda label, she just wanted to be someone.

yes, hes a girly boy but that does not stop him from being a person

and this is his least oldest design.

theres not much history of him but she was always supposed to represent that u should show your gender in any way you want, but also gender dysphoria and its struggles

thats mostly all to his history, if u wanna know more about him u can drop an ask in my inbox ^_^

Ngl i think I you were answering an ask about why you lean twords FReader, And you said something along the lines of "I just have a thing for making ladies come" and I have been a fan of yours ever sense. Cuz i knew in that moment oh yeah they are doing it for the girlies hell yeah. I sometimes think of that quote while gazing out of a window at like 2 pm. ANYWAY-

yesssss i did! i think it was in reference to me explaining why i write female readers for my explicit fics despite being nb myself, if i recall correctly; or something of that ilk. my previous couple of fandoms i was in, i wrote m/m (though those werent reader-inserts), and tbh a lot of it is just me wanting to write women!! sometimes, i’ll keep it gender neutral since that’s always fun and matches my own experience better, but otherwise…. haha yeah. women 🙆‍♀️

that said! i know i have lots of men/masc enbies/more gn folks that read my fics (several of whom i’ve gotten messages from!) and i’m super happy to hear that they enjoy my works as well. i think my fics tend to skew more on the gender-neutral scale outside of things like… presumed anatomy and pet names tied to pronouns… so my reader characters are less fem than others even when i’m explicitly (haha) writing a woman. side effect of me being nb i suppose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ive toyed with writing explicitly trans characters, but every time i try, i end up putting too much of my own experience in the fic. i have a very positive community, but i’m not interested in putting my own experience as a trans person in the world for that kind of dissection critically (not in fanfic anyway where im not getting paid to balance the risk). as a result, for my reader-insert fics (which, as a genre, are already a magnet for disingenuous or dishonest engagement outside of its community, let alone getting into any kind of inane discourse about writing explicit fic of aged up characters) i stick to presumed cis reader characters, at least for now.

JJK x reader: lack of representation

i don’t post on this acct (i just scroll & read fics) but I’m sick and tired: WHERE are the transfem reader fanfics?? where are the MTF reader x (character) stories??

Its like every time I wanna read a fic with my fictional men (toji fushiguro, gojo, nanami, tengen uzui) I ALWAYS have to read the words “pussy” “cunt” etc. when I know damn well I’m pre-op and FAR from getting any operation done. but I can’t read gender neutral fics bc of how girly I am & how I want my pronouns used, and I obviously can’t read male BC IM TRYING TO BE A GIRL, and it ends up being a wild goose chase that just leads me back to cis female fics.

like I don't squirt due to being biologically unable to, but I also don't have a flat chest bc im a trans woman, so I'm stuck in gender neutral limbo!! and god knows how WONDERFUL that is for my gender dysphoria!!!!

like do transfem readers just not use tumblr?? do they all go on AO3?? I dont wanna force people to write fanfics about MTF readers if they’re not comfortable with it/dont know anything about what MTF people go through, BUT I JUST WANNA CUDDLE W TOJI WHILE NOT PRETENDING IM CISGENDER!!
