i do what i have to do.
pairings. bellamy blake x fem!reader
part two of two.
about. in which you point your gun at someone you never thought you’d point it at.
Tumblr media
warnings. swearing
ricky rocks. look who finally finished a year old one shot/fic/whatever you call it 🤗🤗
bellamy coudn’t hurt you even if he wanted to. so, when mumbling the words, ‘move or i’ll kill you’, you could see right through his bluff by the way his eyes so willingly betrayed him, filled with... hurt.
in all truth, bellamy believed you would have shot him if it would have come down to that, and maybe that’s what pained him most. he wouldn't hurt a hair on your head, and you would have, but only for the best interest and safety of arkadia and your friends.
you never wanted to hurt bellamy, but recently you really, really wanted to slap him upside the head for all the stupid shit he had been doing. and maybe a gun scare would knock some sense into him, or maybe it would only put him deeper into the hole pike was digging for him.
bellamy yanked you to your feet quickly after the two of you had seemed to have recovered from all the commotion that had just taken place. you weren't sure whether or not he wanted to get you away from the increase in rowdy crowd or to have his way with you first.
you were beginning to think it was the last option as he marched down the hall with you in front of him, gripping your left arm while the other pressed against your back. one, two, three, four more steps before he shoved you into one of the guards rooms, his room.
“what the hell do you think you’re doing?” he let go of your arm with a slight shove causing you to stumble forward a bit. he looked angry, more than you had ever seen him and more than you would have ever wished to see.
“bellamy, don’t start with me,” you mumbled, raising a finger to harshly accuse him... for something. “if you’re going to kill me, just get it over with.”
he scoffed, looking beyond dumbfounded with his mouth slight agape, not believing the words that had just came from your mouth.
“stop fucking talking,” he needed to think. he begun to pace back and forth, and you had no idea what to do with yourself as you watched him. “i need to get you out of here.”
"what?"
he gives you a dumbfounded look that was filled with a sense of urgency, "y/n, you just shot someone that can have you dead within seconds. you don't leave, someone’s going to do exactly what you did, and take justice into their own hands."
"you should have let me finish the job."
"we're not starting this," he grips your shoulder before pushing you by your upper back. "people are leaving. o, kane, miller—you go with them. you stay, they'll kill you."
"how do you know this?" you mumbled, glancing back at the mention of your friends and the planned escape you all had developed. bellamy was considered a traitor to you all, so he would be the last person on your list to concern with the escape plan.
"eyes everywhere."
you narrow your brows at him, "you're coming with."
he narrows his brows in shock, not expecting you to say this, you share the same expression, also shocked by yourself. the past month would explain this--not only had you watched your world at arkadia fastly crumble after the slow rebuild of humanity, you also witnessed your relationship with bellamy slowly tank moment after moment while his with pike was created.
so, offering passage was an absurd idea. after all the betrayal.
he seems to wince after his surprisal settles but is quick to keep a straight face as best as he can, "you're getting the wrong idea."
"am i?"
"we're not friends anymore, y/n. this isn't old times," his words are intentionally stinging, but you don't miss the look on his face that betrays him. "you can't save me if that’s what you’re thinking. I don't need to be saved, i know what i’m doing."
you frown, "bellamy, you need to stop acting like there's never going to be a happy ending for you before it comes true. leave with us."
"you know i can't do that."
"why not?"
"I dug myself in too deep this time," his face was still stone cold, but it didn't prevent remorse from blossoming in your chest. "maybe if you weren't such a terrible shot, this would be all over."
***
in well under an hour bellamy had you out of arkadia, alone. your friends had left a lot sooner than thought and no matter how much begging you did—expectedly—bellamy left his mind unchanged.
you knew exactly where your friends were going—where they’d be. it was a long and lonely hike but it was enough time for reflection.
you miss the time where you felt like a kid still. where you were young and reckless and full of hope that you’d finally get to be free upon that first step off the drop ship. that you had purpose and will and fighting was something you hadn’t really minded aside from the possible side affect of death.
now you were tired. you just wanted to lay your head down for once and not think about the pointless rivalry purging your everyday life.
“y/n, you’re okay,” octavia pulls you into a tight hug, a certain relief setting over. “god, after we hadn’t seen you, we assumed the worst.”
“i’m okay,” you gave her a thin-lipped smile, “thanks to your brother.”
“bellamy?” she seems shocked, like that’s the first courteous thing he’s done for someone in years.
“yes,” you nod, understanding the hostile tone she almost takes with his name. “i think he might’ve saved me.”
“where is bellamy?” miller speaks causing you to realize they had all emerged from the cave.
"he's gone."
"dead?"
"no,” you shake your head, “he stayed behind. he said he had to fix some thing’s before he showed his face again.”
octavia mentally rolled her eyes, but kept her composure as she watched you, “you’re here. that’s all that matters.”
***
“is he dead?”
“indra has him.”
“bellamy-“
“y/n,” he gives you a pointed look at your protest. “you know that’s as good as dead.”
he was right. pike killed her people, that was far from unforgivable. he’d be lucky to receive death.
“she didn’t kill you.”
he shook his head, keeping his eyes low to the ground, “thanks to o.”
it took a day for bellamy to find you all. his face was beaten and bloodied, but you knew better than to ask what the cause was. he had a lot of enemies at the moment and it wasn’t like this was something out of the blue for him. you would've been surprised to see a clean face.
“she doesn’t hate you as much as you think.”
“i’d like to think she doesn’t hate me at all,” he presses his lips into a thin line. “you’re right though.”
you nod, trying to look sympathetic.
“about everything. i’m sorry.”
your mouth slightly opens in shock from not anticipating his words; apology and admitting.
“i’m sorry too,” you nod, swallowing harshly as you think about having that gun pointed inches from his face. “i would’ve never shot you.”
“you sure?” his voice is lighthearted, but you can tell he’s genuine when asking. “could’ve guessed otherwise.”
“guessing will only hurt you,” you tease, but quickly drop the blitheness. “i shouldn’t have done it, but i was scared… and angry.”
“i know,” he whispers, “we do what we have to do, right?”
“right.”
“then if that means shooting me to knock some sense into me, do it.”
a laugh gets stuck in the back of your throat at the preposterous thought of it. the funny thing was you knew he wasn’t joking. classic bellamy, putting himself in harm’s way.
“me a couple months ago would be more than happy to oblige,” you shake your head, making it his turn to laugh.
“us a couple months ago was a different story. i’m sure we already had guns to each other’s throats.”
you laugh with him, “yeah.”
“never again.”
nodding, “never again.”
you stare at one another now, quiet and calm. you don’t think you’ve ever had a moment like this with bellamy before.
you’re not sure what to do, but bellamy does.
your months of angsty butting heads leading to civilness, then ultimately leading to radio silence on both of your ends due to pike, had killed him. and now, here you were, back in his grasp of more than just civilness, he couldn’t let that go.
“i lied,” he mumbles, suddenly shifting from the rock he sat on. “instead of shooting me…” he’s leaning now, hovering, and just barely resisting the urge to complete his intentions. you feel his breath fan your face; feel, because your eyes are shut. “please, just kiss me.”
his nose is slotted against yours, still hovering as he watches you beneath his eye lashes. his lips are so close… so close to yours, it’s killing him that he waits.
“i’m sorry, but i have to do this,” he smiles before finally pressing his lips against yours.

The five of you stood at the side of the cliff, your hearts pounding with anticipation as Finn gripped the rope tightly in his hand, ready to swing across the gap. Finn prepared to make his leap, Jasper piped up, his voice filled with determination. "Wait, guys. Let me do it. I've got this."
There was a moment of stunned silence as his words sunk in. Clarke glanced at him, concern etched across her features. "Jasper, are you sure? It's a long way across." But Jasper was already stepping forward, a defiant gleam in his eyes. "Clarke. Trust me, I can do this."
The rest of you exchanged uncertain glances, but Finn nodded in agreement. "Let him try. We don't have much time."
With a collective cheer, you urged Jasper on as he gripped the rope and launched himself into the air. For a moment, he sailed across the gap with grace, his movements fluid and confident. As Jasper neared the other side, a spear soared through the air straight into his chest, sending him careening off course.
With a sickening thud, he collided with the rock behind him, the impact knocking the wind out of him.
"Jasper!" Clarke cried out in horror, rushing forward to help him. The rest of you watched in shock, the reality of the situation sinking in. You were not alone in these woods.
Finn took charge, his voice urgent as he scanned the surrounding area. "We need to move. Now. Whatever hit Jasper could still be out there."
You stood in stunned silence by yourself, gears turning in your head at the lack of choices you seemed to have in this moment. Clarkes voice waking you back up from your daze. You crouch down out of sight of whatever was out there.
The woods seemed darker and more foreboding now, every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs sending shivers down your spine. You looked back at Jaspers figure once more pinned to the rock, catching sight of Monty out in the open.
"Well, this is just fantastic. I always wanted to be stuck in a survival situation with a bunch of amateurs." You whisper to yourself, scanning the woods around you before lunging towards Monty, dragging him by his ear back to the group.
"We are so screwed," Octavia insisted, her eyes darting from tree to tree as if searching for any sign of their missing friend.
Out of nowhere, Jasper's chilling scream pierced through the stillness of the forest, sending a shiver down your spine and causing your blood to run cold. Panic surged through you, your mind racing with fear and uncertainty.
"Clarke, Jasper. He's alive," you gasped out, your voice trembling with a mix of relief and dread.
But Clarke was already moving, her determination unwavering as she raced ahead, heedless of Finn's warning. "Clarke, wait. Wait! Wait," Finn called out desperately, but she didn't stop.
Monty's voice trembled with fear as he scanned the surrounding trees, removing himself from you side to stand at the cliffs edge once more. "No. Where is he?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, his eyes wide with horror.
"They took him," Clarke replied, her tone heavy with sorrow and rage. The realization hit you like a punch to the gut, feeling paralyzed as you crouched in the depths of the forest, knowing that Jasper was now in the hands of whatever lurked in the woods.
---
The four of you sprinted through the dense undergrowth, the branches seemed to claw at your skin, leaving scratches in their wake. You reached out, grabbing Octavia's arm with clammy hands, pulling her along with you as you dodged and weaved through the obstacles in your path.
Glancing over your shoulder, you noticed Monty and Clarke lagging behind, their breath coming in ragged gasps. "Come on, guys! We're almost there!" you shouted back, urging them to pick up the pace. The forest around you seemed to darken, the sunlight filtering through the canopy overhead seems to diminish with each passing step.
light struggled to penetrate the thick trees behind you, casting long shadows that stretch across the forest floor like fingers reaching out to pull you deeper into the gloom with every step you took towards the safety of the camp.
The distant flicker of the campfire beckoned through the thick brush, you could almost feel the warmth of the flames against your skin, driving you forward despite the burning ache in your legs. Each step was a struggle, your muscles screaming in protest from the relentless exertion of running from Mount Weather.
You pushed Octavia forward through the trees, finally reaching the group, you were met with a scene that sent a chill down your spine. Murphy and Wells were engaged in a vicious knife fight, their faces contorted with anger and desperation.
Clarke stepped in front of you, her voice sharp with urgency. "Wells! Let him go!" she yelled, pushing herself through the crowd to intervene.
“Alright enough you two!” Bellamy growled as he pushed Murphy away from Wells. Meeting Clarkes angry glare before Octavia caught his attention.
He moved with determined strides, parting the sea of bodies like a ship cutting through choppy waters., his expression darkening with concern and anger. "Octavia, are you all right?" he demanded, his piercing gaze locked onto you, unwavering and intense. "You let her get hurt out there? Where's the food you were so spent on getting?”
You bristled at his accusatory tone, your sarcasm dripping like venom. "Oh, sorry, Bellamy, I was too busy dodging spears and saving Octavia to remember to pack you a picnic basket," you shot back, your frustration boiling over. "But you seem to have everything under control, as usual."
Bellamy's jaw clenched, his gaze hardening even further as he took a step closer to you. "Don't play games with me, y/n," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Finn stumbled forward, gasping for breath. "We... we didn't make it to Mount Weather," he managed to get out between labored breaths.
Clarke stepped forward, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife. "We were attacked," she announced, her gaze sweeping over the assembled group of delinquents. "They were waiting for us, lying in ambush."Her words hung heavy in the air, a chilling reminder of the dangers that lurked in the woods beyond their camp. The group exchanged worried glances.
Clarke's gaze softened as she addressed her friends, her voice sincere. "Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong," she continued, her eyes meeting each of theirs in turn. "There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. Radiation won't kill us."
"Yeah, the bad news is the Grounders will," Finn admitted, his eyes reflecting the gravity of their situation.
Wells limped towards the group, grimacing in pain as his voice broke through the tension, his concern evident as he inquired about Jasper's whereabouts. "Where's the kid with the goggles?" he asked, his gaze darting around the group anxiously.
Clarke stepped forward, her expression grim as she delivered the devastating news. "Jasper was hit. They took him," she revealed anxiously. "Where is your wristband?" she demanded, turning her attention back to Wells, her eyes searching his face for answers.
Wells hesitated for a moment before responding, his voice heavy with regret. "Ask him," he replied, gesturing towards Murphy with a solemn expression.
Clarke's frustration was obvious as she processed the information. "How many?" she hissed, her voice barely above a whisper as she awaited Murphy's response.
Murphy's reply was chilling in its simplicity. "Twenty-four and counting," he admitted, his tone sinister as he confirmed the number.
Clarke's frustration boiled over, her words laced with anger. "You idiots," she spat, her voice filled with bitter disappointment. "Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here," she scolded, her words a reminder of the harsh reality they faced.
"Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she'll have it good," Bellamy shouted, rallying the crowd with his impassioned words. "We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner," he declared, his tone defiant as he challenged Clarke's authority as he faced her.
"I say you're not criminals! You're fighters, survivors! The Grounders should worry about us!" His words resonated with the crowd, drawing them back to his side as they echoed their agreement.
You shook your head in disappointment at the shortsightedness of it all, the frustration evident in your expression as you watched the crowd rally behind Bellamy's reckless rhetoric.
Monty pulled you and Clarke towards him, his faced scrunched in discomfort. "What do we do now?" he asked, his eyes darting between Clarke and Bellamy as he sought your guidance.
Clarke's response was firm and resolute, her gaze unwavering as she addressed him. "Now we go after Jasper," she declared.
---
You and Clarke worked quickly to patch up Wells, the urgency of the situation lending speed to your movements as you devised a plan to rescue Jasper. Clarke and Finn's heated exchange filled the air behind you, their voices clashing in disagreement.
Finn remained steadfast in his belief that venturing back into the woods would only lead to disaster. "I'm not going anywhere, and neither should any of you. That spear was thrown with pinpoint accuracy from 300 feet," he argued back.
Clarke's frustration bubbled to the surface as she refused to entertain the idea of leaving Jasper behind. "So what, we let Jasper die? That's not gonna happen, Spacewalker." she retorted, every word seasoned with accusation.
Finn stood his ground, his expression desperate as he countered Clarke's resolve. "It's not an adventure, Clarke, it's a suicide mission," he countered.
"Clarke, we could use Bellamy," you suggested, your voice tinged with reluctance. "He has a weapon. As annoying as he is, we need all the help we can get."
Walking over to Octavia, you handed her a bottle of water, offering her a small smile of reassurance before looking over her leg once more. Clarke approached Bellamy then, her voice commanding as she addressed him. "I hear you have a gun.” Bellamy reply came without hesitation, lifting his shirt slightly to reveal the weapon strapped to his waist.
As he did, you couldn't help but notice the defined contours of his abdomen, the muscles taut and well-defined. Caught momentarily in the act of admiring, you quickly averted your gaze, but not before Bellamy's eyes flicked up, catching you in the act.
A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he noticed your fleeting glance. "Like what you see?" he quipped, his tone teasing.
You rolled your eyes, unable to resist a sarcastic retort. "Please, Bellamy, don't flatter yourself. I was just wondering if that thing is even loaded," you shot back, your tone laced with playful sarcasm.
Clarke nodded in agreement. “That’s good. Follow me," she instructed, her words leaving no room for argument.
You fell into step beside her, Bellamy shot you both a questioning look, his brow furrowed in confusion. "And why would I do that?" he asked, his voice edged with skepticism. The two you halting in your walking.
You couldn't resist the urge to challenge him back, his self-righteous attitude grating your nerves for the second time today, "Oh, I don't know, Bellamy. Maybe because you're not as brave as you like to pretend," you retorted, your tone dripping with sarcasm.
Bellamy's expression hardened, and he stepped closer to you, mirroring your stance, his gaze intense. For a moment, you almost step back at his closeness, but you refused to back down. "Careful, sweetheart. You don't want to find out just how wrong you are," he warned.
You squared your shoulders, meeting his gaze with equal intensity. "Try me," you mocked, your voice steady despite the butterflies fluttering in your stomach. You walked away with Clarke, leaving Bellamy behind. You could almost feel the weight of his gaze boring into your back as you moved further away. A silent challenge lingering in the air.
---
Your focus, alongside Clarke's, remained on locating Jasper, the urgency tangible in every stride as the group trudged through the dense undergrowth. Bellamy's voice, sharp and cutting, sliced through the otherwise oppressive silence.
"Hey, hold up. What's the rush? You don't survive a spear through the heart." His words halted the group in their tracks, prompting a momentary pause in the relentless pursuit. Wells attempted to interject, his voice a soft plea for reason, "We have to find him, Bellamy,” but Murphy's abrupt intrusion blocked his path.
"We heard him scream when they moved him. We have to find him now." You voiced, restraining yourself from punching Bellamy in the face.
The exchange between you and Clarke, a tense back-and-forth of explanations and rebuttals, seemed destined to continue until Bellamy interrupted, his tone brusque and impatient. "As soon as you take those wristbands off, we can go."
“Over my dead body, Blake,” you huffed, finding his insistence infuriating. Bellamy was quick to put on a self-satisfied expression at your remark. Suddenly, Finn materialized out of the shadows, his unexpected presence bringing an abrupt halt to the argument.
"Clarke's right. We need to keep moving. We're not leaving anyone behind."
Clarke spared you one last glance, mouthing a simple ‘sorry’ before walking away with Finn taking the lead of the group. Once they dispersed, you found yourself beside Wells, Bellamy, and Murphy not far behind. Seeking solace in conversation, you struck up a dialogue with him, hoping to find some semblance of normalcy. Every step felt heavy, the worry for Jasper gnawing at your insides.
The sound of a low groan reverberated through the trees, causing both you and Clarke to snap into action. Without a second thought, you both bolted towards the source of the noise. pushing through tangled foliage and dodging gnarled roots. You finally stumbled upon Jasper, his figure slumped against a rock.
Your heart twisted at the sight of him, “Jasper!” you screamed, looking over his battered and bloodied form. Jasper's wounds were covered, a makeshift bandage hastily applied by unknown hands. Jasper groaned aloud once more, relief flooded through you at the realization that he was alive.
Before you could reach him, the ground beneath your feet gave way, the earth crumbling beneath you in a sudden collapse. Clarke's scream pierced the air as she watched you disappear into the darkness below.
She stumbled backward, her eyes wide with fear, before collapsing to the ground herself. The rest of the group rushed to her side, their shouts of concern blending with the chaos of the moment.
In the midst of the commotion, Bellamy's strong grip closed around your arm, your heart leaped into your throat, you locked eyes with Bellamy just as you were about to plummet into the unknown depths below.
For a fleeting moment, there was something indecipherable in his expression, a hint of uncertainty perhaps, but it vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
Before you could dwell on it further, you realized his attention was drawn to the wristband on your arm, and Bellamy's gaze flickered down to it for just a moment. Anger flared within you at the implication, and you snapped, "Let go, Bellamy!"
He hesitated, his grip on your arm tightening as if contemplating his next move. Panic overwhelmed you as you teetered on the edge of the pit, "I know you want to let go, Bellamy. Just do it already!" you snapped.
Bellamy's expression remained inscrutable, his gaze flickering briefly to your wristband before meeting yours again. Then, as if coming to a decision, he released you, allowing you to slip further into the spiked pit below.
Just as you were about to plummet into the abyss, Murphy's strong hand closed around your arm. The rest of the group rushed to your aid, their shouts of concern mingling with the chaos of the moment as they worked together to pull you back to safety.
With a collective effort, they hoisted you up from the brink, your heart pounding in your chest as you collapsed onto solid ground once more. Relief washed over you in a dizzying wave, but as you shot a glare at Bellamy, his gaze still lingering on you with an intensity you couldn't quite decipher.
---
Murphy and Finn rushed forward to help Jasper, you stayed back, still trying to steady your breathing after the near fall. The others scrambled to their feet, scanning the forest for any signs of danger. your eyes landed on Bellamy's gun lying on the ground nearby.
Before you could think twice, a low growl echoed through the trees, sending shivers down your spine. Your gaze shot back to the source of the sound just in time to see a sleek panther emerge from the brush, its predatory eyes fixed on Bellamy.
“Bellamy!” Clarke shouted. “Get the gun now!”
Bellamy reached in his waistband, feeling around for his gun coming up short. A look of confusion passed over his face as the panther crept closer to him. For a split second, you hesitated, your anger and resentment towards Bellamy flashing through your mind. ‘he doesn’t deserve to live.’  You thought. But against your better judgment, you lunged forward, grabbing the gun and aiming at the panther.
You fired off a shot, the sound echoing through the forest as the bullet found its mark. The panther let out a fierce roar before getting ready to strike again. You straightened your aim, stepping closer before firing another round. The panther collapsing to the ground with a loud, its threat neutralized.
Breathless and shaken, Bellamy turned to face you with an eyebrow raised. "Guess I owe you one," he replied, his tone laced with sarcasm.
---
“They're back!”
The gates of the camp swung open, allowing everyone to stream back through the camp, you found yourself lingering behind, lost in the tumult of your own thoughts. Memories of your mother, her accusing words, and the weight of her disappointment flooded your mind.
You recalled the countless times she had blamed you for her circumstances, her voice echoing in your head like a haunting refrain. The sharp sting of her words, the relentless yelling, and the coldness in her eyes all played vividly in your memory.
"You coming?" Bellamy's voice broke through your reverie, pulling you back to the present.
You glanced up, meeting his gaze briefly before looking away. "Yeah, I'll catch up," you replied tersely, your tone betraying the turmoil within. Your legs guided you without a second though, taking your place on a log settled by the fire, surrounded by the other delinquents. You let the warmth of the flames ease the tension in your shoulders.
Harper and Miller's banter provided a welcome distraction, their jokes and laughter cutting through the heavy atmosphere that hung over the camp. You found yourself drawn into their playful exchange, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips as you listened to their witty repartee.
"So, did you hear about the guy who stole a calendar? He got twelve months!" Harper said, laughing to herself while Miller poked the fire next to you.
"Oh man, that's almost as bad as your last joke!" Miller responded, shaking his head at her bad attempts at jokes.
You chuckled along with them, appreciating the light-hearted moment amidst the chaos of your situation. You caught yourself watching Bellamy, your eyes hazily looking over at the line forming in front of him.
"Next!" Bellamy shouted, while Murphy continued to break off the wristbands of each delinquent in line. You watched as he worked efficiently, his movements brisk and purposeful as he conducted his trade.
"Food for wristbands. One at a time, let's keep it moving."
Despite your lingering resentment towards him, you couldn't help but admire his resourcefulness and determination to provide for the group.
But when Bellamy's gaze briefly met yours, you couldn't bring yourself to accept his offer of food, instead choosing to remain seated by the fire, surrounded by the company of your fellow delinquents.
Every now and then, a knowing glint danced in your eyes, a subtle acknowledgment of the secret you held close. While Bellamy spoke with confidence, there was a hint of unease in his demeanor, a flicker of uncertainty that betrayed his facade of bravado.
It was clear to you that he didn't realize you were privy to his secret, the truth behind his presence on the dropship, the lengths he went to in order to secure his spot among the delinquents.

“I could kill you right now.” I sneered.
“Is that so?” he asked with a smirk and my anger grew. He should have been begging, pleading, or trying to talk me out of it. He was so fucking calm; it drove me insane. His eye glistened mischievously as they traveled down my body, his hands resting lazily on my hips. I flushed, remembering my lack of clothing. It only made me glare at him more.
“Yeah, I have a knife to your throat. In case you haven’t noticed.” I replied, trying to distract him and he hummed in response.
“The butter knife? Yes, I definitely noticed that little detail.”
I had the absolute pleasure and privilege to commission @beemot to do this wonderful scene with Wren and John from my Far Cry 5 fic! This is hands down one of my favorite scenes with them and I’m so happy that you were able to bring this to life so beautifully! I’ve waited a long time to get this done and I’m so glad I did, it’s so perfect and exactly how I imagined it when I wrote the scene! You draw so beautifully, and you did so amazing with Wren and John. All the details are perfect and even the tattoos are spot on. You definitely did my girl justice and I still can’t stop staring at it!!! I can’t thank you enough for this!

Far Cry 5 Gift Exchange | An edit for @nightwingshero 🖤 | Event hosted by the wonderful @detectivelokis
I had so much fun working on this project, naturally I had to go with Wren x John as a choice, because their vibes are impeccable 🖤 The picture in the middle of the graphic is an edit on its own, inspired by a beautiful artwork you had shared of their wedding, so I got the idea to try to make a little something with Wren's FC. I hope you like my take on your OTP. 🖤
A big thank you to @detectivelokis for putting this exchange together, it's truly wholesome idea and I'm so happy I was able to participate in it this time around! Seeing all the different creations shared around today has put such a smile on my face. I live for all of your people's talent and creativity!
A second version with different coloring under the cut.

Chosen side
Paring: John Murphy x reader
Warnings: Swearing
Chapter: 6.03
You scrunch your nose up as Clarke re-enters the bar wearing a pretty pink dress.
You face the other way and finish the drink in your hand. If Joaquin was the one out there, nobody would be able to stop you from looking for him. The blonde was always better at politics than you, and she probably had some kind of plan in place to save herself, Abby, and Madi. It was just a shame for the rest of you that her loyalty stopped there.
Murphy placed his hand on your back as you listened to Abby comforting her daughter, who once again was paying attention to some bullshit peace talk. “Just be yourself. Don’t tell them more than you have to and don’t lie.”
Murphy scoffs, “Unless they ask about the end of the world. In that case, maybe don’t tell them you fired the first shot.”
“Don't worry, Murphy.” Clarke looked over his shoulder at him. “Hell’s big enough for both of us.”
You spin round fast, anger boiling inside you. “What did you just say to him?”
“Let it go,” Murphy says, shaking his head. You look into his tired eyes and feel nothing but guilt. Maybe he wouldn’t have almost died if you’d come to earth with him. He deserved so much better. Murphy moves his hand from your back to link with your fingers, “I promise I’ll do whatever it takes to make this a safe home for Joaquin.”
You sit down across from Emori, frowning as you notice Abby talking to your partner. What the hell could she be saying to him? You didn’t want Griffin near your family.
“Couldn’t convince him to eat?” Miller asks between bites of food.
“No,” you said, sighing. You couldn’t even convince him to drink something other than alcohol. Whatever happened to Murphy when he died scared him, and he was trying to block it out. He looked defeated.
Emori filled you, Jackson, and Miller in on life in space. It made you happy to hear how quickly Emori and Echo were accepted by everyone else on the ring. You smiled until you noticed a worried-looking Clarke coming down the stairs into the tavern. She had changed out of her pretty dress and back into her “murder gear,” as Murphy called it, which wasn’t a good sign.
“Jordan told them everything,” she announced. “Where is he?”
To your surprise, Murphy told her, “on the roof with the barmaid.”
You frowned at him, and took off after Clarke while she went to look for Jordan. When you reached the roof, you were horrified to see Jordan laying on the ground.
“Jordan!” You rushed to kneel beside him. He slowly started to wake up, “Hey, hey, you're okay.”
One of the guards from the sanctum shoved you to the side and lifted Jordan to his feet. “Where is she? Where’s Delilah?”
You shoved him back, “Back off! He’s hurt and just a kid.”
The man lets go when he spots someone running through the garden below. “The children of Gabriel are in the compound. They’ll use the night harvest to try to get her out. You need to follow me, please.”
“We can’t leave him,” Clarke argued.
“You go and I’ll stay with Jordan.”
She gave you a quick nod and left with the guard to look for the missing girl.
As you helped Jordan walk into the bar, you smiled when you noticed Bellamy apologising to Murphy for what happened when they were under the influence of the red sun. Your smile grew even wider when you noticed Raven, “Hey Reyes!”
The brunette pulled you in for a hug, “glad to see you're alright.”
“You too.”
Just as you pulled back from the embrace, Russell entered the room. It’s been a long day, so I’ll keep this short. “Sanctum was created to be a sanctuary for the human race. After seeing you save Delilah, we’ve decided that you deserve that too.”
“So we can stay?”
“For now,” Russell’s wife Simone answers. “No more of you.” You tense at her words and share a concerned look with Murphy as she continues. “You will follow our rules and respect our traditions, and we will teach you how to survive here.”
“What my wife is trying to say is, welcome to the sanctum.”
Murphy comes up behind you and wraps his arm around your waist. He whispers into your ear, “Don’t worry about getting our boy here; I’ll figure it out.”
You relaxed at his words. You weren’t sure how he’d do it, but you had every faith he’d figure out a way to get your son into the sanctum safely. You lean your head back slightly and kiss him softly on the lips. “Aww,” Diyoza stops in front of you, smiling, “you two have a kid right?”
You nod, “a son.”
Her hand rested on her stomach, “Is it really as bad as they say it is?”
“Worse than you can even imagine,” you say, chuckling at her expression. “You’ve been through a helluva lot. I’m sure childbirth will be a walk in the park for you.”
She smiles at you both before walking towards Madi. Murphy tightens his grip on you, making you laugh. “You know, I want to hear every detail of what I’ve missed; the pregnancy, childbirth, his first steps.”
Your attention was drawn from Murphy to Russell when he spoke loudly, “Charmaine Diyoza?”
Diyoza looks at him confused. “Yes.”
“Escort this woman past the shield right now!” Russell orders
Bellamy tries to interject as two guards, “Just wait. What is this?”
Diyoza shrugs, “Seems my reputation precedes me.”
You all stand there in shock as Russell has his men forcefully march a pregnant woman out of the sanctum. It’s not until the rooms go quiet that you look around and notice someone is missing. You step out of Murphy's grip and look up at Bellamy. “Where’s Octavia?”
You lie on the soft bed, staring up at the ceiling, only shifting your gaze when you feel movement beside you. “Did you get any sleep?” Murphy yawns before pushing himself up onto his elbows.
You sigh, “not really.” With the knowledge that you are currently safe in Sanctum, you should be able to sleep, but your mind can’t stop wondering. “I can’t rest, not while we are here and he’s up there.”
“I know,” he says, kissing your forehead. Murphy sits fully upright and looks around the room. “Do you think they will give us another bed when Joaquin comes down, or do you think we’ll need to steal one from somewhere?”
You swat at his arm playfully, “I don’t think Simone would appreciate you joking about stealing.”
“Ok, okay,” he says, raising his hands. “But do you think they will give us another bed?”
Everyone had been assigned rooms above the tavern, although you weren’t sure how permanent they were. You look up at him, surprised by the question. “Probably, although I’m not sure if he’ll jump with delight at the chance of having his own bed or still want to sleep beside us.” You let out a low laugh, “This one time, I tried to let Joaquin sleep on his own bed in the bunker. He managed to sneak out while I was sleeping. I was so scared when I woke up and discovered he was gone. Luckily, Miller found him.”
Murphy rubs at his face, pretending that he’s just overtired, but you know he’s hurting and is trying to hide how much pain he’s in from you. You shake your head at him, your voice soft, “he loves you.”
“He doesn’t even know me.”
“But he still loves you, we both do,” you roll around and kiss his shoulder.
Murphy tucks your hair behind your ear and changes the subject to, “What are we doing today? I’m not in a naming day celebration mood.”
“I think Emroi is going to guard the ship. We should go with her.”
“I’m not sure about this,” you link your fingers with Murphy’s as you walk towards your tavern. “It just doesn’t feel right.”
“I know, but it’ll look like…” he quickly changes what he was going to say when he spots a figure walking towards you. “Hey, Delilah.”
She smiles at you both and says, “Now I’m not one for easy dropping, but I did hear a part of your conversation.”
Shit.
“You most definitely can’t wear that outfit to the party tonight, but not to worry, I have plenty of outfits you can borrow,” she says cheerfully.
“Oh you really don’t need to do that. That’s far too kind and your people have already done so much by letting us stay here.”
“Nonsense, besides Jordan has told me how kind you’ve been to him,” she explains. “He really wants you there, but I understand your people don’t have lots of clothes.”
You try to think of a reason not to, but your mind draws a blank. You and Murphy exchange a look before he smirks. “She’s all yours.”
Delilah smiles and links her arm with yours, leading you away from Murphy and towards her bedroom.
Your jaw hung open while you took in the sight of Delilah’s bedroom. “When I lived on the ark and read books with princesses in them, this is what I imagined their rooms looked like. I actually think the whole sanctum looks like something out of a fairytale.”
Delilah gave you a kind smile before sorting through different dresses. So far, none of them really suited you. She held up a pair of white sparkly heels, “Have you ever worn sage green before? I have a dress that will match these and you perfectly.”
You snort out a laugh, “I’ve never even worn heels before.”
“First time for everything!” She squeals excitedly.
You walked into the party alone and nervous. You knew Murphy would meet you here, but trying to find him inside the crowded room wouldn’t be as easy as you thought. Truthfully, you didn’t want to be at the party, but you didn’t want to seem disrespectful by not attending.
You mentally curse yourself for letting Delilah talk you into wearing heels, which were painful to walk in. Delilah was a sweet girl, and was so excited for you to dress up that you didn’t want to disappoint her.
You felt a good type of strange. It was the first time you’d felt good in a long time. The dress picked out for you was a light green, with a corset top that flowed into a lace skirt that stopped just at your ankles. She curled your hair and applied light make-up. She must have thought you were crazy when you looked in the mirror and your eyes teared up. You could never make her understand that the person in front of you is how you wanted your son to see you, and not as a murderer in war paint.
You spot Bellamy and Echo facing the other way and make your way towards them. You were about to make your presence known when you overheard them.
“If you’re going to tear yourself apart over leaving her, let’s go get her.”
“No, this isn’t me tearing myself apart, ok? This is me being human. I feel things when people I love are in trouble or die. The echo I knew on the ring did that. Why don’t you?”
“This isn’t about me,” Echo replied, with hurt in her voice.
You try to back away from them, not wanting to hear anymore of their private conversations, but the people around you don’t allow it.
“No? We lost Monty and Harper three days ago. How do you feel about that? Because I have no idea. I lost my sister yesterday. It’s going to take me a little while to feel nothing, like a good azgeda spy. But I’ll keep trying.”
You are in disbelief at how cold Bellamy was towards his girlfriend. As Echo holds her head up high and turns to walk away and spots you, it becomes harder for her to hold her tears back and remain strong.
“Are you okay?”
She nods and quickly walks away, disappearing into the sea of people. You turn back and meet Bellamy’s gaze. “You look beautiful,” he says, tracing his gaze over you.
You give him a harsh look and say, “What you just said to her was cruel.”
Bellamy looks down at the ground, his face racked with guilt. You’d never experienced first-hand being on the opposite end of his deep-cutting comments, but when Bellamy reached that point of frustration, he could be ruthless with his words. With or without meaning to.
“Have you seen anyone else here?” You ask, hoping to ease the tension.
“Just Clarke, but I think she left,” he stepped closer to you, so he didn’t need to yell over the loud music. “Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.”
“Do you remember when we first spoke when you got out of the bunkers? You told me to watch my back in case my sister threw me into the fighting pits. How did you know she would?”
Your body becomes warm and flushed as you think back to your time living in that hell hole. “Octavia threatened mine and my son's lives when he was still just a baby. She constantly threw me into the fighting pit,” you pause as your voice begins to shake. “I did terrible things to survive to make sure I could be around to raise my child because of her. Blodreina would have thrown anyone into the pits without thinking twice.”
He lets out a deep sigh and runs his fingers through his hair. “I shouldn’t have taken that out on Echo, but I just don’t know how to talk to her right now.”
“I can check on her for you.”
“Really?” He asks, “I guess.”
You shrug, “Why not? She means a lot to you and everyone else who was in space. I’d like to get to know her better.”
Bellamy gives you a soft smile and squeezes your arm, “Thank you... and congratulations on getting engaged.”
“How do you know about that?” your face twists in confusion.
“During the red sun, Murphy kept threatening Clarke for hurting his wife. It wasn’t hard to put the pieces together. I wish you guys all the best.”
“Thanks Bell.”
You'll find Echo drinking by herself in the tavern. “Hey,” you say as you take a seat across from her. “Bellamy was being a total jackass and taking it out on you. Please don’t let it get to you.”
“I do miss them,” she says tearfully. “Monty and Harper I may not show it, but I do.”
“I know.”
“He was right; I felt myself closing down again.”
You feel bad for her, seeing how upset she is. “You’ve been fighting to survive since the moment you stepped foot on earth.”
“I’ve been fighting to survive all my life,” she says, taking a shot of her drink before letting out a deep sigh. “I was eight when Queen Nia’s army took our land. My father resisted. They killed him while my mother hid with me in the cellar. If you cry, they'll hear you, she told me. So I didn't. The best way to get rats out of their holes is to start a fire. I remember the way it smelled. But...the smoke…” she let out a loud sob. “Her hair...when Nia heard what happened, she executed the men who did it, had me brought to Troy and started my training.”
You reach across the table for her hand, “I’m so sorry, Echo, that’s horrific. I don’t know what to say except that from now on, we look forward, not back.”
“I haven't even told Bellamy about that,” she wiped her nose and nodded. “He thinks I’m just a cold-hearted azgeda spy.”
“Well, you're not Azgeda anymore, just as I'm not Skaikru. We are all family now.”
“John!” You called out, seeing Murphy walking towards your assigned room. He unlocked the door and waited for you to reach him. “I’m sorry I didn’t find you sooner. I started talking to Echo, then tried to find you but the party was pretty much over.”
He cut you off by pressing his lips against yours. “Danica, you look beautiful,” he slowly says, studying your face. “If your dress was any whiter, I’d marry you tonight.”

Attitude Adjustment Chapter 1
Tumblr media
This story is OC x Reader be warned!
Reigna is one of the expendable, sent to the ground along with 99 other delinquents. After finally being reunited with her best friend, she hopes it'll all be smooth sailing. But after the threat of the grounders is revealed, she tries to do everything in her power to keep herself alive, along with the very few people the cares about.
-
1,792 tally marks adorned the walls of her isolation cell in the sky box.
“Just a few more and that’ll make five years.” The brunette muttered to herself, finally scratching the newest tally mark into her wall with the regulation knife she stole from a guard around two years ago. Sighing deeply to herself, the girl slumped down against the opposite wall. Reigna had been locked away in the Sky Box about a month after she turned fourteen. Today was her eighteenth and she would soon be floated for the crimes that landed her here in the first place. She mindlessly combed her fingers through the ends of her long hair. She had been in solitary for so long, regular things like haircuts hadn’t been offered to her.
“Any minute now…” She mumbled, anxiety rising in her gut, the knife clenched tightly in her hand as she waited for the guards to haul her to her death. Reigna had vowed to herself that this would not be the end. She refused to die. She was prepared to kick, scratch, bite, anything that would allow her to run away and hide. She knew her family wouldn’t take her back, but maybe she could escape to one of the other bases on the ARC to hide away. Anything to escape the death that was looming outside her door.
Reigna’s ear twitched as she heard the heavy steps of the guards approaching her door. She let out a slow breath as she readied herself for the fight to come.
“Prisoner 396 please face the wall with your hands behind your back.” A guard called through her door. Reigna clenched her jaw.
“Bite me.” She yelled back, shifting her body onto her feet, preparing herself to run. Like lightning, the door to her cell slammed open, three guards flooding the space as she attempted to dart past them into the open hallway. Two of them attempted to seize her by the arms but she quickly lashed out, swiping the knife she had hidden in an arc in front of her body. One guard attempted to duck under the blow to tackle her around the waist, but she evaded, stepping quickly to the side and sprinting into the hall.
“We got a runner!” One of the guards yelled from her room. Reigna whipped her head around, the knife still tightly gripped in her hand as she looked around. Every room in the sky box was being emptied of its occupants. Some delinquents more docile than others. Reigna hesitated at the sight just long enough for one of the guards to follow her into the hall. She felt the muscles in her body seize up as she fell to her knees.
‘That bastard shocklashed me!’ she thought, a shocked expression crossing her face momentarily. Her knife was kicked away by another guard as she struggled on the floor. She could still feel the aftereffects of the electricity in her body and her movements sluggish as she struggled. She felt a metal cuff being clamped around her wrist as she attempted to escape their hold. One of the guards nodded to someone out of her sight and she felt a prick and a sting in her neck before a cooling sensation spread through her. As her vision began to blur Reigna could only panic.
‘What are they doing to us.’
Reigna could feel her body practically coming back to life after she had been drugged. She could hear voices surrounding her, still slightly muffled in her ears. She flexed her fingers and felt metal, and the more she came to, she realized she was sitting up in a chair. Slowly her eyes fluttered open and she began to take in her surroundings. She was in an enclosed space surrounded by other teens she assumed had also been in the sky box. she looked down and saw she had been strapped into a seat. Her breath quickened slightly. looking to her right she saw a boy she didn’t recognize but let out a small gasp as she looked to her left.
“Murphy?” She mumbled, reaching her hand up to pat his cheek gently. He stirred, his eyes moving rapidly behind his lids before his eyes opened into a squint.
“Reigna?” He said her name with equal amounts of shock. Reigna had to will away the tears springing to her eyes at the sight of him. John Murphy. Reigna’s best friend. The only person in her life she was positive cared about her. She hadn’t seen his face since she was locked up. Every once in a while she would hear news about him in passing from the guards or from other teens who were confined as harshly to their cells.
‘Did you hear they floated Murphy’s dad?’
‘His mom drank herself to death I’m not surprised he got himself arrested’
‘Did you see? Pike totally beat Murphy’s ass during that Earth Skills class!’
Reigna remembered the rage she felt, the way these people talked so casually about her best friend’s pain, his suffering. But now here he was, thrust back into her life like he had never left her. Like she’d never left him.
“Wha- What’s going on?” He looked around frantically before his eyes fell back to her. She’s grown. They both had. Last time Murphy had seen her, she’d been a tiny, skinny little thing. Still vicious with a bad biting habit, but she’d been loyal to a fault. Her parents never let her grow out her hair back then so her hair had stayed a modest shoulder length. She had always been pale, but her scattered freckles and small moles had made the pale work for her. Now, while she hadn’t gotten much taller in these years, her hair had grown. Her long brown hair brushed against her waist, the ends slightly crooked since she had been maintaining her hair with the knife she’d stolen. And she’d filled out. She knew her chest had gotten bigger. Not many people get new clothing often in the sky box. The tank top she was currently wearing was the same one she’d had for the past two years and it had gotten slightly… tight around her chest.
Murphy was the same. Last Reigna saw him, he’d been her height if not slightly shorter. Skinny and sickly, but just as loyal Reigna. Now, she could easily tell, Murphy had gotten tall. Sprouted into something Reigna almost didn’t recognize. His features looked stronger and not quite as if he was one cough away from an extended stay in Medical.
“I don’t know…” Reigna mumbled in response, tearing her eyes away from her friend and looking around the room again. Some people she recognized, Clarke Griffin and Wells Jaha pointedly. She held back a severe roll of her eyes, “At least I know now they aren’t killing all of us right now.” She said to Murphy, indicating the two of them with a slight tilt of her head. She heard Murphy repress a groan of irritation. Along with Chancellor 2.0, Reigna saw a man in a guard uniform. Reigna wasn’t all convinced of his place, he looked around almost nervously.
Suddenly there was a noise and various screens around the room blinked to life. Playing was a prerecorded message from the Chancellor. Reigna looked up at the screen before them with visible disgust. As he spoke, Reigna tuned out his words, looking around the room once more. She watched as a boy across the room unbuckled his straps and began… floating?
“Reign-” Murphy tapped her arm frantically. Her attention was dragged away from the now multiple floating boys as she looked to Murphy.
“They’re sending us to Earth…” He said, voice laced with tension. Reigna’s gaze snapped to the screen as it began to flicker. It was at this moment that all the tells started falling into place. This wasn’t just another room in the ARC. This was a dropship.
“Send the expendable…” She said, her tone laced with venom. Her hands gripped the straps keeping her in her seat. She could feel her heart race as she finally noticed the subtle shaking of the room and the humming of the engines and oxygen machines as they plummeted towards the planet.
“Well… Happy birthday, i guess.” Murphy joked, a smirk creeping onto his face as he looked over at her.
“Best one I’ve ever had,” She replied sarcastically, her hand darting to grab his arm as the dropship started aggressively shaking as they approached earth. The sound of the dropship entering the atmosphere made Reigna’s ears ring. She took a deep breath and clenched her eyes shut as the other teens around her yelled. Suddenly there was a loud noise and the dropship jerked, making Reigna and Murphy’s heads smack the back of their seats as the parachute deployed. Finally, there was a bang and the dropship stopped moving. The room was silent as everyone looked around nervously for a moment.
“Listen,” an Asian boy across the room said, “No machine hum.”
Everyone listened for a moment before realizing he was right, there was no engine sounding, no oxygen pumps. Quick as lightning, everyone began unclasping their straps and belts, rushing down to the bottom floor of the dropship. Reigna tugged the release clasp to no avail before calling out to Murphy, who had already gotten out of his seat. He tugged on the clasp jerkily, glancing over as he heard a hiss from the door and a feminine voice scream ‘We’re back, bitches!’
Finally the clasp gave way and Reigna sprang out of her seat, rushing to the ladder with Murphy hot on her heels. the two finally reached the wide open door, awe plastered on their faces.
“I never thought i would get to see trees this big…” Reigna muttered, admiring the green giants as far as her eyes could see.
“It’s a lot greener than I thought it would be.” He mused, slowly moving to stand beside her. Their eyes scanned the area, taking in the scenery. Suddenly a hearty smack landed between Reigna’s shoulder blades, causing her to stumble. She turned quickly, a glare marring her face, but the expression quickly melted.
“Atom!” She said happily. She remembered the taller boy from their classes before she had gotten arrested. He had graciously decided to be friends with her after she had decked him for calling Murphy ugly. Murphy used to joke that punch made him fall for her.
“Lovely, we all get to experience possible doom together again,” Reigna joked, beginning to walk down the ramp onto the earth. Murphy nodded in agreement, giving Atom a friendly pat on the shoulder before they followed after her.
“Oh, right. Happy birthday, Reign.” Atom called out, making her smile slightly.
“Glad everyone remembers, not like we ever celebrated.” She snorted.
“It’s worth remembering.” Murphy interjected quickly. Reigna cast him a grateful smile over her shoulder as they slowly walked around the dropship. Before she could respond with something self deprecating, she heard a scuffle. The three looked over and saw Wells manhandling a kid she thinks was named Jasper. Murphy strode over quickly and pulled Wells off of him.
“Hey, watch it. He’s with us.” Reigna heard Murphy speak as her and Atom caught up.
“Relax, we’re just trying to figure out where we are.” Wells replied, trying to quell the impending argument.
“We’re on the ground, not good enough for you?” The guard Reigna clocked on the dropship spoke up before she could. She noticed a pretty girl standing closely to his side that she was sure she had truly never seen before in her life. It finally clicked in Reigna’s mind that she must have been the girl whose mother hid her in the floor. By that point in her life Reigna had already been locked up, but she remember how shocked everyone had been when it came out. So the guard must be her brother. Meaning she was right, he wasn’t actually a guard.
“We need to find Mount Weather,” Wells snapped back, “You heard my father’s message. That has to be our first priority.” he looked around as he spoke, as if most of the people who had been sent down here didn’t detest his father.
“Screw your father,” Floor girl yelled, truly speaking for the masses, “What, do you think your in charge here? You and your little princess.” She hissed, looking Clarke up and down with irritation as she spoke.
“Do you think we care who’s in charge?” Clarke replied and Reigna groaned with a deep roll of her eyes, “We need to get to Mount Weather not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we’ll get and the harder this’ll be. How long do you think we’ll last without those supplies? We’re looking at a twenty-mile trek, okay? So if we want to get there before dark, we need to leave now.” Clarke finished and looked back to her map.
“Better idea,” Floor Brother spoke up, “You two go, find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change.” Reigna looked around as he spoke and saw other teens nodding in agreement.
“You’re not listening,” Wells interjected sounding exasperated, “We need to go.”
“Look at ‘im, Murph,” Reigna mumbled, elbowing Murphy lightly, “Already thinks he’s the Chancellor of Earth,” She snickered, making Murphy snort in agreement.
“You think your funny-” Wells stepped toward Reigna, but Murphy moved her behind him, glaring at the boy. Before Reigna could shove Wells herself, Murphy was already acting. He pushed Wells harshly and he fell, twisting his ankle in the process. Wells picked himself up quickly. Both boys held up their fists. Murphy feigned a punch, attempting to get Wells to try to hit him but as he limped forward, another boy dropped down from the roof of the dropship and landed between them. Reigna, Atom, and Murphy all glanced up in confusion before looking back to the boy with longer hair.
“Kid’s got one leg,” The shaggy haired boy spoke, motioning to Wells, “Why don’t you wait ‘till its a fair fight.” he said with a tone of condescension. Before Murphy could decide to start swinging on this kid too, she placed a gently hand on his shoulder.
“He’s right, Murph. It’ll be worth more when he’s not limping,” She said with venom, eyes narrowed at the two before she turned and began to walk away. Murphy huffed before following close behind, loyal as always.
“Can one of you big, strong boys help me rip this off?” Reigna asked with a flutter of her lashes. Atom and Murphy looked at each other momentarily before Atom groaned and stood. This was the third time she’d asked for help tearing the destroyed side of the dropship to shreds, having immediately started making herself and the boys crude knives. Atom carefully tore a hand sized piece of metal from the wall and handed it over to the shorter girl. She smiled and nodded in appreciation before making her way back to Murphy. She dropped down to sit beside him, grabbing the rock she used to make his knife before starting on her own.
“Left a little somethin’ for Wells on the other side of the dropship wall,” Murphy spoke, picking at the point of his newly made knife as he spoke.
“Did you, now.” Reigna replied, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, “Knowing you, it’s probably something he’ll just try to punch you for later,” She teased and he cracked a small smile.
“I’ll show you when he gets back.” He said with a smirk. There was a moment of silence before Reigna looked back to her friend.
“Are you okay? I meant to ask earlier but…” she trailed off, her eyes looking to the ground.
“I’m great, now.” He said, wrapping his arm around her in a tight half hug.
“You know what i meant,” Reigna said, her brows slightly furrowed as she looked back up at him.
“I did, and I meant what i just said.” She replied in a tone that made her roll her eyes. Murphy smiled at her reaction before looking away, “Wells is back.” he nodded in the direction and stood, Reigna standing to follow him, Atom and his friend Mbege close behind.
“Find any water yet?” Murphy asked, not really caring for the answer. Wells shook his head.
“No, not yet, but I’m going back if you guys want to come.” He responded, looking up at them before looking to where Murphy was. hastily scratched into the dropship wall was ‘First Son To Dye’. Reigna scoffed softly at the display before looking back to Murphy, whose face was stone cold.
“You know, my father begged for mercy in the airlock chamber when your father floated him,” Murphy said, voice full of pain and anger. Wells halfheartedly glared at him before dropping the few sticks he was holding.
“You spelled die wrong, geniuses.” He muttered angrily before moving past the group, shoulder checking Murphy as he went. Reigna and Murphy both turned to watch him go. Before she could turn back she noticed the fake guard, Floor Brother, making his way towards them.
“If you’re gonna kill someone, it’s probably not best to announce it.” he spoke at Murphy. She he did, Reigna took a moment to look him up and down unabashedly. He was tall, clearly older than them, but he seemed built. He clearly wasn’t a guard, but maybe formerly, Reigna assessed. she frowned, her bottom lip poking out slightly.
‘He’s kinda cute…’
“You aren’t really a guard… are you.” Reigna decided to immediately call him out, watching as his face gave way to mild shock. She smirked at the reaction as he composed himself.
“No. But the real guard will be here toon unless we stop it. You don’t actually think they’re gonna forgive your crimes. Even if they do, then what?” He posed the question, voice firm. Reigna bit her lip, glancing over to Murphy. He knew well enough Reigna wasn’t concerned about her crimes being acquitted.
“People like us, we’re gonna become model citizens now? Get jobs, if we’re lucky, maybe pick up their trash?”
“What’s your point.” Reigna interrupted, crossing her arms over her chest.
“No, i have a question,” He finally shifted his gaze to her, “They locked you up, dumped you here like lab rats to die, so why are you helping them?” he asked and Reigna looked away.
“The hell we are,” Reigna heard Mbege interject from behind her.
“You’re wearing those cuffs, aren’t you?” He replied. Reigna looked to her wrist. She had barely given the thick metal cuff any thought since they’d clamped it on her before they knocked her out. Now that she actually looked at it she was vaguely aware of the technology.
“Right now those things are telling them whether or not it’s safe to follow us down.” Floor Brother explained, making the rest of the small group look to the cuffs in shock.
“Okay, so how do we stop it?” Murphy asked. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Reigna twisting her wrist to inspect the cuff before taking her unsharpened knife from her pocket. “Reign, what the hell-” Murphy started, attempting to reach for her as she wedged the blade between her skin and the cuff, near the hinge. She twisted her body away from Murphy’s prying hands as she forced the blade upwards, snapping the lock on the cuff and letting it fall to the ground. She gently inspected the lightly bleeding pinpricks on her skin as Murphy grabbed her arm. She gave him a firm look of ‘i’m fine’ before he backed off. Floor Brother raised his brows slightly at the display before nodding once towards Reigna.
“Now the ARC thinks she’s dead.
A few hours had passed since their encounter with Brother Floor. Reigna had quickly and easily removed the cuffs from the rest of their group and toss them into a pile. Some teens were milling around the makeshift camp doing busy work but the four of them were all gathered around, watching the group move like bees in a hive. Out of the corner of her eye, Reigna caught sight of a very out of place guard uniform. She shot to her feet, giving the boys a half assed excuse before jogging to the older boy.
“Hey! Brother Floor!” Reigna called out to him, making him pause.
“Excuse me?” He turned, a look of confusion plastered on his face.
“You heard me. And you stopped. I’ll keep calling you that until i know who the hell you are.” She said, standing with her hands deep in her pockets. Brother floor looked her up and down slowly, almost as unashamed as she had been a few hours prior.
“Bellamy. Bellamy Blake.” He finally responded after taking his eyes off her body. Reigna made a face like she smelled something foul before rolling her eyes.
“Blake… Yeah that tracks. I heard that name a few times in lockup..” She mused, looking away in thought before looking back to his freckled face, “So, Blake. What in the hell made you throw yourself into a possible suicide mission. Besides Little Sister Blake.” Reigna asked, taking slow steps towards him.
“Nothing I’d be willing to spill to someone else nameless,” He said with a smirk and Reigna wanted to punch it off him.
“Reigna. That’s all you need to know.” She responded quickly.
“No last name, Reigna?” he asked. He was trying to flirt with her. Is this how he gets away with everything?
“Nope.” She responded, popping the P as she spoke. Bellamy stared down at her a moment more before looking around them. They were fairly secluded. She could still see her group of friends lounging around on the ground, but they were far enough to where they would only heard them if either decided to yell.
“You,” He pointed directly in her face as he began speaking, “Can not tell a single soul what I’m about to tell you right now. Not even your boyfriend.” Bellamy said, his tone serious. Reigna wanted to correct his statement, ‘Murphy isn’t my boyfriend’ was on the tip of her tongue, but Bellamy continued on.
“I shot the Chancellor,” He rushed out, causing Reigna’s eyes to widen.
“You shot the Chanc-” Bellamy clapped his hand over her mouth quickly, looking around frantically for anyone who might have heard her. Reigna slapped away his hand, her face twisted in anger at his action.
“Is that why you don’t want them following us down here? To save your ass?” She asked and he nodded. Reigna sighed, looking over her shoulder at her friends. Murphy was already looking back at her and she gave him a thumbs up. He watched for a moment more before looking away.
“Me and the guys can start getting those bracelets off the others. The more of us they think are dead, the less likely they are to follow us, right?” She started thinking aloud.
“Makes sense,” Bellamy agreed.
“You need to find a way to get Wells alone. If we get his cuff off i doubt we’ll have to worry about Jaha if he’s still alive.” Reigna spitballed the idea, and Bellamy nodded.
“How would you suggest i do that?”
“Fuck if i know, I’m not doing all your thinking for you,” She said with a sneer before beginning to walk off.
“What did you do, Reigna,” Bellamy started, making her pause, “to get locked up, i mean.”
Reigna hesitated for a moment. She could feel her shame pooling in her gut. She chose not to think about her actions before lockup too much. The memories made her head spiral.
“I killed my mom,” Reigna said quietly, her throat burning as the words left her mouth. Before Bellamy could respond, she quickly left him, not wanting to see or feel the reaction to her statement. She already hated herself for it every day.
After the spectacle that was the bonfire and the surprise of the first rain on Earth, Reigna retired to a tent that had been gifted so graciously to her by Bellamy. Hush Money.
She dragged Murphy along, proclaiming how awful of a friend she would be if she let him sleep in the crowded area inside the dropship, currently populated by makeshift hammocks and blankets on the floor. As the two entered the tent, Murphy threw down his few belongings. It was tall enough Reigna could still stand at her full height, but Murphy had to stoop slightly. She took advantage to hug him tightly for the first time since she was arrested. Murphy reciprocated before lifting her feet off the ground and walking the two back outside. Reigna laughed as they approached a fire where Atom and Mbege already were. He put her back on her feet as they arrived, Reigna shoving him jokingly as he did. Reigna opened her mouth to speak to her friends but was interrupted by Bellamy calling their names.
“I need you guys to do something for me,” he spoke lowly to the group. Atom and Mbege stood as Murphy urged him to continue.
“We’re getting Wells’ cuff tonight. I need you to hang out behind some bushes down the ridge west of here. I’m bringing Wells there and if he doesn’t want to cooperate and take the damn thing off himself, we’re forcing it off. And out there no one’ll hear him if he tries to call for help.” Bellamy explained the plan.
“I don’t think anyone here would try to help him anyway,” Reigna snarked.
“You got it, Boss.” Murphy nodded as the four of them gathered their things and made their way to the ridge.
“Bellamy didn’t mention how long this would take,” Atom groaned, leaning his shoulder against a rock.
“These things take time, you could stand to learn some patience, Atom.” Reigna called over to him from behind a different rock with Murphy.
“Good thing i’m not standing, then,” He replied sarcastically, motioning to his crouched stance. Reigna could practically hear Murphy roll his eyes at the statement.
“What was that douche sayin’ to you earlier anyway,” Murphy asked.
“Its a secret,” Reigna looked at him and grinned. His face stayed passive as he looked at her skeptically.
“He practically slapped the wits outta you. What did you say to him?” Murphy pressed.
“Genuinely, i cant tell you. It’s good blackmail,” She replied honestly, “Also he did not slap the wits outta me,”“Can you two stop flirting?” Atom asked loudly, making the two of them glare over at him. On a whim, Reigna glanced to her side over the rock before pressing herself against it. She shushed the boys around her as Bellamy led Wells closer to them. Reigna couldn’t make out their words, but she did spy Bellamy tucking a gun into the waistband of his pants. Suddenly Murphy stood and Wells tried to bolt, not making it far with his bad ankle. Murphy tackled him to the ground as he tried to limp past, the rest of the boys holding him down. Reigna picked herself up and grabbed the arm that his cuff was on. She held his arm to her chest as she began to wiggle her dull knife between the cuff and his skin just as she had done for herself and her friends. Wells struggled and pleaded from beneath them, attempting to kick and wiggle himself away to no avail. Regina glanced up at Bellamy just for him to give her a subtle ‘Do it’ as she began thrusting the blade in an upwards motion. But all Wells cries fell on deaf ears as the lock finally broke and the cuff fell to the ground. And as far as the ARC knew, Wells Jaha was dead.

Chapter 5
 previous  next  masterlist
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x OC
Genre: Fluff, angst, and everything in between
Warnings: curse words, death, blood, killing, gore, and some good old chaos
Summary: Xephyr Kane, Marcus’ adopted daughter, grew up on the Ark, but begged the council to lock her up in solitary after a traumatic experience involving her birth parents. Now, she’s being sent to the ground, on her own terms unlike the other 99 kids, in hopes to start new. But what happens when she gets down there, and nothing goes as planned? Throw in a hot headed “leader” that wasn’t supposed to be there and things get… difficult.
A/N: Number 5 here ya go.
Before dawn had risen, we heard some yelling from outside. I walked out of my tent at the same time Bellamy did, shirtless, sweaty, his hair all over the place. He looked at me, two girls walked out of his tent covered in blankets. I rolled my eyes and looked at the sky.
“They’re coming to help us. Now we can kick some grounder ass.” Jones said cheerfully.
“Please tell me they brought down some shampoo.” Roma, one of the girls who walked out of Bellamy’s tent, begged.
“It’s a launch pod.” I stated. “By the size, I’d say big enough to hold two people. Cargo space? Most likely none.” Bellamy and Jones walked into a smaller tent.
I followed. “If it cleared the ridge it’s probably by the lake.” Jones said as I walked in.
“We should get going, everyone’s ready.” I told them.
“No one’s going anywhere.” Bellamy shook his head. “Not while it’s dark, it isn’t safe. We’ll head out at first light, pass the word.” Everyone but Bellamy and I left the tent.
“Everyone for.. 100 miles saw this thing come down. What if the grounders get to it first? We should go now.” I said, trying to convince him.
“I said we should wait until sunrise.” He snapped back. And so we did, well until Finn and Clark walked in looking for Bellamy. He wasn’t there,
“This isn’t your fault Xephyr.” Finn said, trying to catch up with me.
“I should’ve known he’d go for that radio.” I shook my head
“How are you supposed to know something like that?” Clarke asked.
“Because he spent every single minute since we’ve landed making sure no one on the ark finds out we”re alive.” Clarke picked up a dagger as I raised my voice.
“That doesn’t meN you can predict what people are gonna do.” Finn tried to calm me down.
“That’s exactly what I have to do.” I snapped at him. “I screwed up, let myself get distracted.”
We went running towards the lake, as fast as we could. Once we got there I opened the pods door.
“Raven?” I sighed.
“Hi…. I made it?” She asked with a slight smile.
“Yeah.” She stepped out of the pod and soaked in the air.
“I dreamed it would smell like this. Is this rain?” She asked.
“Welcome home.” Clarke smiled at her.
“Raven!” Finn called out. She ran to him.
“I knew you couldn’t be dead” she held him. They kissed and Clarke’s face dropped.
“How did you get here?” I asked.
“You know that big scrap hold on the deck?”
“You built that from scrap?” I said shocked
“I kinda rebuilt it.” She shrugged.
“Damn I knew you were good, for a mechanic.” I joked.
“Just needed a couple parts and some love,” she became dizzy.
“Sit down.” Finn sat her down on the rock. “This is Clarke, she was on the drop ship.”
“Clarke? This is all because of your mom. This was all her plan, we were trying to come down together. If we waited… oh my god. We couldn’t wait because the council was voting whether to kill 300 people to save air.”
“When?” I asked.
“Today.” She said grimly. “We have to tell them you're alive.” She ran to the pod. “The radio’s gone. Must’ve gotten loose on reentry, i should’ve strapped it to the a-strut. Stupid!” She yelled.
“No, no. This is my fault. Someone got here before us. We have to find him.” I ran into the woods looking for Bellamy.
“Hey! Where is it!” I yelled at him.
“Hey sparky, you taking a walk in the woods?” He sassed me.
“They’re getting ready to kill 300 people up there. To save oxygen! And I can guarantee it won’t be council members. It’ll be working people. Your people.” I yelled at him
“Bellamy!” Finn shoved him. “Where’s thé radio?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Bellamy shoved him back.
“Bellamy Blake?” Raven asked. “They’re looking everywhere for you.”
“Shut up.” He shot her an evil look.
“Looking for him, why?” Clarke asked.
“He shot Chancellor Jaha.” She informés us.
“That’s why you took the wristbands! Needed everyone to think we were dead. And all that “whatever the hell we want”? Was just to save your own skin.” I screamed and pushed him. He began to walk away.
“Hey! Shooter! Where’s my radio?” Raven ran up to him.
“Get out of my way.” He said coldly.
“Where is it?” She persisted.
“I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.”
“Really? Well I’m right here.” He grabbed her and shoved her against a tree.
“Bellamy!” I yelled but raven pulled out a switchblade before any of us could do anything.
“Where’s my radio?” She asked again. He let her go.
“Jaha, deserves to die, we all know that.” He said walking away.
“Yeah, he’s not my favourite person either!” She shouted, “but he isn’t dead.”
“What?” He turned around.
“You're a lousy shot.” She scoffed.
“Bellamy, don’t you see what this means?” I walked up to him. “Your not a murderer.” I looked into his chocolate brown eyes, “you always did what you had to do to protect your sister. That! Is who you are. And you can do it again, by protecting 300 of your people. Where’s the radio?”
“It’s too late.” His eyes looked as sweet as the colour they were. “Threw it in the river.” He sighed.
“Show is where. Please.” I begged. He nodded his head and led us to where he threw it.
“Hey! I found it!” Jones called out. He handed me the radio.
“Can you fix it?” Clarke looked at me with pleading eyes.
“Maybe. But it’ll take half a day just to dry out the component to see what’s broken.” I sighed, shaking my head.
“Like I said, it’s too late.” Bellamy added.
“Let me kick him in the groyne.” I whispered. Clarke shook her head.
“Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?” She got up in his face.
“You asked me to help. I helped.” He said with a dry tone.
“300 people are gonna die today because of you!” She continued to go off.
“Hold up!” Raven called out. “We don’t have to talk to the ark, we just have to let them know we’re down here… right?” She asked..
“Yeah but how are we gonna do that with no radio?” Finn looked to the ground in sorrow.
Raven looked at me and smiled. I nodded my head. “Let’s get back to the pod.” I turned to them.
“Okay! We need to launch those flairs ASAP. If we have any hope of saving those people,”I hollered, Finn, get the control panel back to camp, you, pull out those firing circuits in one piece or they won’t work.”
“Clarke, can I have a hand?” Raven called her over. “Work these bolts here, gently, rocket fuel likes to go boom.” Raven then turned to me. “We’re gonna need power to fire.”
“They’re tying in the batteries on the drop ship. Should be ready when we get there.” I nodded.
“Great, so. What’s the problem?”
“Nothing.” I shrugged. She gave me a look that said she knew I was lying. “Look if we get the rockets to launch, will they see them from the Ark?”
“Like the good book says.” She smiled
“Yeah y’all that book is old, we haven’t had to do this before and-“
“Xephyr. Calm down. It’s all about burn time and cloud coverage right?” I nodded and walked away.
We got everything we needed and launched the flare. Purple streaks flew across the sky. Bellamy came up beside me.
“You think they can see it from up there?”
“I don’t know. I hope so. Can you wish upon this kind of shooting star?” I asked. He just looked at me. “Never mind. I-it’s…. it’s stupid.”
“I wouldn’t even know what to wish for. He turned so his eyes looked into mine. “What about you?” I just looked at him, then I looked back at the purple in the sky.
“Where do I begin?” I sighed.

summary:
Tumblr media
You stood in front of Captain Andersen’s desk, hands shaking as you listened to her tell you about everything that would need to happen before you could return to duty.
Tonguing your split lip, you shook your head. Tears gathered in your eyes as you looked at your trembling, still blood stained, hands as your shield and gun rested in them
How could they let you back to work after everything that happened? Tim was still in the hospital, you got to leave after just a few days. But what you saw, what you and Tim experienced over those two weeks… you couldn’t trust yourself.
“I-I’m sorry Captain… but I can’t,” you said softly, your bruised and busted hands curling around the items in your them.
She tilted her head, “I’m not sure I understand.”
You sat your shield and gun on her desk, “I’m not coming back… I’m sorry… but I quit.”
Zoe nodded, giving you a sympathetic look as you avoided her eyes. “Is there anything I can do to change your mind?” You shook your head before she was even finished. “No, I’m sorry Captain… but I can’t. I’m quitting, I’ve made up my mind. I’m sorry.”
Without giving her a chance to reply, you turned on your heel and left.
Tumblr media
You sat curled up in the hospital chair, just staring at Tim’s unconscious form laying there in the bed.
There were words stuck in your throat. It was like they were coming up sideways, choking you before coming up in broken fragments on your tongue.
What the hell could you say? Tim was laying in a hospital bed because of you. You had put him there. An apology just wouldn’t make that go away. Make what you did go away.
You sat in the uncomfortable chair, picking scabs and prodding at bruises as your mind replayed everything. Never giving you a chance to rest or forget what you did.
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry, Tim… I’m so so sorry,” you sobbed, looking down at your blood covered hands.
“It’s okay, baby,” Tim winced at the way your hands tried to patch him up from the wounds you had put there that day. “You’re doing this to protect yourself and for us to survive. I’m not mad.”
You shook your head, “I should be stronger than this…”
“Thane is a fucking psycho, do not put this blame on yourself,” he grunted as he sat up. “Hey, look at me.” You sniffled and looked up, “I’m hurting you, Tim. I shouldn’t hurt you, under any circumstance… even this. I should have let him–”“Don’t say that, don’t you dare say that.”
“You were ready to take a bullet for me!”
“Because you don’t deserve to die!”“And you do?!”
You panted a little, “I shouldn’t be hurting you… I don’t want to hurt you.” He grabbed your hand, not caring about his own blood slicking up his hand. “I know that, and I can handle it. They’re coming, I know they are. I can hold out until then.”
“But what if I can’t?”
Tumblr media
After that conversation it was eerie silence as you both tried to sleep.
It was hard for you to fall asleep. The copper scent of Tim’s blood on your hands made you sick to your stomach . The substance was sticky and drying to your skin. Thane wasn’t allowing you to wash your hands, letting Tim’s blood dry on your hands in layers.
And when you woke up the next day it was your turn.
You were simply a punching bag. Though Thane would call it a ‘boxing match’. If you won, the next day you wouldn’t have to hurt Tim and you both got a decent meal with fresh water.
But you couldn’t win.
You had gotten close the first few times. But Thane was an ex-Navy SEAL so he could take you down like it was nothing. And as time went on, you got weak. You didn’t have the energy to put up a decent fight and even give yourself hope. The only reason you still attempted was to keep Tim safe.
That night you sat on the floor with your head down and an arm clutching your side as your ribs ached.
“I’m sorry,” you said quietly. Tim grunted as he turned to look at you, “Why are you sorry?” You sniffled, “I can’t win…” “You’re not supposed to win. He just likes to give you hope…”
“I can’t keep doing this Timmy… hurting you, I can’t…”
“If you don’t-”
“Yeah, I know. But I’m not going to kill you… I couldn’t live with myself if I did.”
You didn’t give him a chance to respond and just got in your bed and tried to sleep.
Tumblr media
The next morning, Thane woke you up with gentle caresses on your face.
“Time to wake up,” he said gently, pulling you up and to your feet. “C’mon we have a big day ahead of us.”
You whimpered as he pulled you over to a table, gun pressed to your lower back. “Pick your first weapon.”
You shake your head, tears spilling over, “No.”
Thane growled and pulled harshly on your hair, making you look up at him. “You pick or I do, I won’t tell you again.” The gun digs into your back, “And you won’t like what I pick.”
You gritted your teeth as he pulled your hair harder, “I’m done playing your game. Shoot me.”
“Y/N, it’s okay…” Tim said, but his words were breathy. “I-I can take it.”
“You hear that? He can take it,” Thane smirked before kissing your forehead. “Pick up the knife.”
“I said, no.”
He growled before slamming your face down on the table.
Tim looked away, jaw clenched as you cried out a little. You don’t blame him, you’d look away too.
This position hadn’t been unfamiliar.
Often after those boxing matches, Thane would use your weak state to release other frustrations.
So you just closed your eyes and braced yourself.
“Oh look at you,” he cooed, his hand rubbing your back. “Mmmm you’ve learned. But right now isn’t about us. It’s about you and Tim. So pick up the knife or I will fuck you as you look your boyfriend in the eyes. Pick. It. Up.”
“Pick up the knife, Y/N…”
“Okay! Okay…”
Thane smirked and pulled you back up to stand. “Good girl.”
Your hand shook as you wrapped your fingers around the blade’s handle. The thought of turning and plunging it into your capture’s stomach flashed in your mind but you knew better. You weren’t fast enough and his trigger finger was quick.
Eyes filling with tears, Thane guided you forward.
“Stab him.”
Your eyes widened and you turned your head to face him. “W-what?”
“You heard me, stab him.”
“That wasn’t-”
“Do it or I'll shoot him in the head.”
You closed your eyes, sobbing as your hands shook violently. “It’s okay Y/N. It’s gonna be okay,” Tim reassured, kissing the top of your head.
But you didn’t believe him.
When it was just cuts or burns, it was easier to believe that he would be okay. But you could see that he was weak. He was shaking from blood loss and he could barely keep his eyes open. His voice was tired and breathy so he desperately tried to put authority in it.
But it wasn’t working.
You shook your head, crying openly as you brought up the knife.
He gritted his teeth and braced himself as you found a spot on his torso and pushed the tip of the blade in.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” you whispered tearfully, pulling the knife back out.
You watch horrified as blood leaks out of the new wound and down his side. You had hurt him, again. It made you feel sick.
Suddenly, Thane’s right in your ear, his eyes on the bare half inch of blood on the blade.
“Oh, come on now. Don’t waste my time,” he growled. He wrapped his arms around you and put his hands on top of yours.
“No, no please,” you begged through your tears, trying to fight him.
But your resistance was used in Thane’s favor as he used your combined force to plunge the knife into Tim’s stomach.
You gasped, feeling the sickening warm feeling of fresh blood coating your hands.
Tim couldn't hold back his shout of agony, gritting his teeth as tears came to his eyes.
Thane leaned in, laughing in your ear as you sobbed, “Look at that, seems like all you needed was just a little guidance.”
You covered your mouth, smearing blood on your face as your eyes stayed unmoving from the knife handle. You could have collapsed to the floor in a sobbing heap if Thane hadn’t had arms around you.
“Ooooh not so fast there Y/N. One’s not going to cut it, sweetheart. Take it out and do it again.”
When you hesitated, Thane took your hands and wrapped them around the handle, “Take it-”
“LAPD DROP YOUR WEAPON AND PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR.”
You sobbed in relief as Thane turned to who you recognized to be John Nolan, Bishop’s rookie.
“Put your weapon down and kick it over to me.”
Thane followed his instructions, smart enough to know that he was cornered.
You held Tim’s face, “It’s gonna be okay baby. They’re here, just like you said they would be.”
Tumblr media
Tim had been unconscious when you said that, finally succumbing to the pain.
“Officer Blake?”
You jumped at the call of your name, being pulled from your memories as you looked up to see the three rookies. Jackson was the one to address you.
“You don’t have to call me that anymore Officer West…”
He nodded and swallowed, “Right we’re out of uni-”
“No, I quit… I’m not an officer anymore.”
The rookies’ eyes widened and they shared a look when your eyes moved to Tim.
“But you’re great at your-”
You cut John off, bitterness in your tone, “If I was good at my job he wouldn’t be in this bed…”
You took a breath, finally letting yourself touch him and grabbing Tim’s hand. “I should have been stronger…”
“Thane’s a psychopath, who knows what situation we would be in had you held out longer,” Lucy tried, watching your glass eyes as they looked over Tim. “That doesn’t make you a bad cop…”
“I don’t trust myself… and being a good team requires trust. I can’t go back out onto the street if I do not trust myself, that’s how people get hurt.”
You shook your head, letting it fall between your shoulders. “It took just a little guidance and I plunged a knife into the man I love…”

death era.
part five of n/a.
Tumblr media
ricky rocks. hm.
“what do we do with her?”
it had been two hours since athena had been knocked out by echo for her to finally just begin to wake up from her position that was tied against a tree.
raven had them all huddled away from octavia who begun to comfort her with a flask full of water, a look of frustration on her face. it seemed once again raven was on damage control and she had no idea on how to clean this one up.
“she punched bellamy, that’s enough for me to agree to allow her to stay,” murphy mumbled from his sitting position against the log, looking back to athena who could barely keep her head up. “maybe she’ll keep him off his pedestal.” “murphy, you’re not helping,” raven rolled her eyes, now looking over to bellamy who was leaned against a tree, sharpening his knife, not seeming to care at the discussion that was taking place. “what do we do bellamy?”
he only shrugs.
“why is she here then, bellamy?” she extends her arm out, suppressing annoyance, “what’s so special about her that you had to shoot her?”
his eyes flicked up to raven’s fast like she had struck a nerve before looking back down to the piece of stick, “you’ll see.”
“that’s not an answer.”
“she is.”
raven’s brows narrowed at his answer, slightly shaking her head in frustration as well as annoyance to the trap mouth he suddenly had, “unbelievable.”
raven didn’t have time for this, none of them did. they had been traveling for over a week, getting no where, without bellamy due to his spontaneous idea to pursue something.
something being her to their realization. screw bellamy for being so vague, even in times of need.
“do you trust her?” echo questioned, her eyebrows quirked while folding her arms with an earnest look on her face that bellamy knew not to push or ignore.
“no,” bellamy breathes out, pursing his lips, “but i trust her anger and she’s got a lot of it.”
it made raven narrow her brows harder as she looked at the girl, studying her a little more then she had before.
athena hadn’t seemed like an angry person to her. more or so paranoid and cautious, like she was waiting for someone to ambush her. but sure, she must have had a lot of anger built up with the punch she gave bellamy, it just didn’t seem like she lived in it.
raven decided to agree, her face raising up, a sigh passing past her lips, knowing this would be the best answer they’d get, “alright.” bellamy had been stalking the girl for weeks before laying next to her and practically cracking her skull open.
there was no use arguing, she could leave that to octavia who seemed to always have a firey passion to put her brother in his place, wrong or right.
“once we hit terminus, we can split from her,” he mumbled, his eyes gliding across the makeshift campground they had set up, slightly leaning away from the tree as he was ready to put the conversation to it’s end, “i have a feeling there’s something there for her that she’s not talking about, we get what we want and she gets what she wants.”
“and what more exactly do we want… besides our people?”
“something that’s not this,” there’s a curve in his lips now making eye contact with all three of them, nodding. “i’m done moving around, i’m ready to settle.”
it made raven smile softly at the change in octive his voice became. he seemed more enthusiastic at the thought of a settled future, one he wouldn’t have to put much thought into, because his life would already be planned out for him. it was a strange tone for bellamy, but none of them minded it.
“well, what’s our next step?” murphy looked between them all, not exactly satisfied with the conversation. “how are we going to get her to cooperate when bimbo over here hasn’t exactly been the most gracious to her.”
“that’s where octavia comes in,” they all look the girl who was squatting in front of athena, offering her water.
“i didn’t realize my brother was the one who did this to you.”
“nor did i,” athena was extremely lax for what had just happened to her and it left octavia anxious. she half expected the girl to be squirming against her tied position against the tree, but she didn’t move an inch. “guess i should have expected it.”
“why?”
“you both had the same damn back stories and i didn’t realize that until now,” she looks at octavia, eating up her features. “not to mention, you look inexplicably alike.”
she wants to smile, but it feels inappropriate. she took pride in looking like her brother up until now.
“you’re not mad?” octavia’s brow reaches high in concern, “i mean not mad—what’s going through your mind?”
athena hesitates, her eyes going from octavia to the group of people that were conversating far in front of them, “i think your people are going to kill me in my sleep.”
she can’t tell if she’s joking or not.
bellamy suddenly approaches, now beginning to untie athena from the tree with no words. octavia watches him carefully from the position she’s squatted in, looking between athena, who held the same skeptic look, then back to him. once he had the ropes unbounded from her, he pulls athena to her feet.
“bell, what’re you doing?”
“making a plan,” he now grips the back of the light leather brown coat she wore, forcefully guiding athena to the dying campfire where he further makes her sit.
“maybe be a little nicer…”
bellamy sits on the stump in front of her while the rest of the group gathered around, analyzing her better. she narrowed her brows, looking between each of them. yes, they would definitely kill her in her sleep.
“i need you to be cooperative,” his hands clasp in front of him and she’s almost unfamiliar with this persona of bellamy; hard but expressionless. “you’re taking us all to terminus, no bullshit. i’m not going to hurt you, i think we’re both over that, but you will take us there.”
she had a similar hard look on her face as she still looked between each of them, studying their faces hard, trying to find what the motive was in their eyes or if there was any. her chest felt an intense feeling of compression at their looks because they were almost unreadable.
she finally looked back to bellamy who was waiting for her to say something. his head is slightly tipped, watching her carefully, observing every detail that was written on her face. he fixates on the scratches and cuts that are pierced high on her skin—wondering if that was from him or if it was just the given scrapes from the wilderness.
shs doesn’t say anything.
“you sure she speaks?”
“i’m sure,” bellamy nods before getting to his feet, “she just needs a little motivation.”
“bellamy, what are you doing?” octavia gets to her feet too, but doesn’t move to follow him. they all watch him, especially athena; her stare is diligent and she tries hard not to allow a streak of emotion to cross her face—no matter how confused she was.
bellamy made his way over to where athena was previously tied up, reaching down to grab her pack. that’s when athena was fast to get to her feet, pushing against murphy and echo as they tried to hold her back from hounding his ass.
“bell, this isn’t necessary,” octavia shifts on her feet as she watches him slowly make his way over toward the fire, extending the bag over the fire.
“don’t.”
“oh, so she does speak,” murphy’s snide tone curls into her ear and she resists the urge to elbow him in the gut.
“we gonna make this harder than it needs to be?”
“we? bellamy this is only you,” athena’s eyes narrow down on him and she feels both his comrades grips loosen on her. “you shoot me, cut me, and now threaten to burn my belongings,” her look is nasty and she can feel the compression explode into anger at the thought of everything he had done to her.
“you want me to take you? fine i’ll take you, but you owe me, big time and don’t be mad when whatever you’re looking for, isn’t there.”
his mouth curves into a smirk, watching the way her eyes mount to his in such a resilient way, “deal.”

🌹🥀🐬 for wren/john please
Thank you, lovely!!
🌹 - Who initiated the first kiss?
So, it’s kind of hard to really tell if I’m being honest. Mostly because of the situation. But I think it was Wren. After breaking into his ranch with a few friends (Addie, Rowan, and Mary May) while drunk, Wren stays behind to try and kill John since they almost get caught with him coming back from his bunker. Girl takes a butter knife and jumps him in the couch, and she straddles him with the damn thing against his neck. One thing led to another, and they ended up making out and banging on his leather couch. Overall, I think it was Wren that started that.
🥀 - Do they both get jealous?
Wren does. John…kind of? But they’re mostly chill about it, it’s not much of a toxic situation, but Wren doesn’t like to share and John likes to have all of Wren’s attention. Don’t get me wrong though, he does not like it when people touch Wren or get too close to Wren, and it’s just…it’s one of those situations where you can just tell that someone is about to cross a boundary. Sometimes John gets in a mood though, and he makes it clear who Wren is married to. And that works both ways. Wren has killed people with Lust and Envy carved into their skin for reasons that may or may not center around her husband being ogled at or hit on.
🐬 - Who made the first move?
Again, I would say Wren. But I’m also very aware of the fact that John definitely encouraged it, so I think he set it up for Wren to take him. John knew what he was doing. But ultimately, Wren was “in charge” (she really wasn’t, but he lets her believe she was).

Walking through the forest for hours with only Murphy, Wells, Bellamy, Finn, Sterling and Monroe for the last few hours has been nothing but hell for Gabriella. She was forced to listen to Murphy trying to get her to talk to him while also listening to Finn slowly going out of his mind because he gets separation anxiety when he is away from Clarke for too long which was pretty sickening. It made no sense to her due to the fact that Wells' feeling were much stronger and lasted longer, and Finn and her were not even dating like Clarke and Wells were.
Hold on... were they even dating? Gabriella was not even sure about that entire love square which she tried to keep herself out of. When she thought about it, staying out of it should not involve her sleeping with Raven...but they had more important things to worry about.
"Alright, Murphy. Where to now?" Bellamy asked, slowing his pace at the front slightly, allowing Finn to take the lead once again.
Murphy sighed, stopped and lifted his tied wrists in front of him, making Wells practically slam into his back. Gabriella rolled her eyes when Murphy just ignored Wells' glare and grinned sarcastically at Bellamy. "What do you say we lose these first, huh?"
"No." Bellamy deadpanned. "Again."
"If we get attacked out here, I have nothing to defend myself with." Murphy said, looking at Gabriella pleadingly.
"Pity." The blonde drawled with a bored look on her face. "Guess we'll have to leave you behind and make the grounders take you first to buy us more time to run away."
None of them noticed Finn's walking come to a stop, until he turned around and untied Murphy's hands. Gabriella, Bellamy and Wells all gaped at Finn's retreating figure in surprise and shock. Out of all people, none of them expected for Finn to be the one to go easy on Murphy, especially after what he did to Raven.
"Thank you." Murphy called after him, having the exact opposite thoughts.
Gabriella pursed her lips and flashed Wells a small grin that did not quite reach her eyes but apparently did the trick because Wells knew just what she wanted him to do. So he sighed, adjusted the rifle on his shoulder and jogged up to catch up with Finn.
The Kane kept walking beside Bellamy while Murphy walked behind them.
"You think this is a good idea?" Bellamy finally asked, obviously referring to his choice of bringing Murphy along.
"It was your idea to bring him." Gabriella deadpanned and watched as Finn brushed past Wells and further away out of the corner of her eye.
"Yeah, only to make him take us to the grounder camp." Bellamy said, running his hand over his face. "But I'm worried now that Finn decided to let him go."
"Spacewalker will do anything to protect someone he loves and the girl of the month is Clarke." Gabriella said, trying to keep her nerves away by shrugging the conversation off. "If he thinks letting Murphy loose will do the trick then so be it. As long as somebody keeps a gun away from him at all times. We can handle Murphy."
"Can we?" Bellamy retorted, arching an eyebrow at his co-leader, who let out a slightly frustrated sigh.
They were not quiet for more than a second, before Murphy strolled over and in between them with a fake excited grin on his face "So, do I get a gun now?"
The only response he got was Bellamy pushing his shoulder roughly, making him quicken his pace.
-
The group was silent for a while when Murphy grabbed ahold of Gabriella's shoulders and tackled her to the ground while whispering in alarm. "Everybody down. Down."
Gabriella was quick to brush Murphy's hands off of her, pushing him back and making him fall on his back with a silent groan. She rolled her eyes at his actions and all of them moved so they could look at the camp properly.
"This is it. Told you I'd find it." Murphy said, and Gabriella swore she saw a flash of hesitance flash through his eyes but it was gone as soon as she saw it. She doubted he wanted to go back there.
Bellamy lifted his rifle to look through it and Gabriella tapped her fingers against her thighs in anticipation, suddenly wishing she snatched a rifle instead of a gun so she could see what was going on.
"I see nothing but grounders." Bellamy announced and looked taken aback when Finn growled in frustration next to him, he too seeing nothing. "Our people aren't here." He added but Finn only ignored him and kept staring at the camp through the rifle.
"Wait a minute." Finn spoke up after a moment of staring at the same spot. "They've got stuff from our dropship."
"Maybe they know where our people are, then." Wells said, trying to be optimistic as always.
"Or maybe they killed them already." Murphy spoke up bitterly, receiving a kick in the shin from Gabriella and a shove on his shoulder from Wells.
"Son of a bitch." Finn suddenly hissed, making all attention shift to him.
"What?" Gabriella asked with wide eyes. "What is it?"
"The guy with the one eye." Finn said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, but to Gabriella, it was not.
"Spacewalker, I can't see shit..." Gabriella hissed, only for Bellamy to cut off her words by showing his rifle in her hands so she would be able to see what they did.
Gabriella blinked in surprise but muttered a quiet "thank you" before she lifted the rifle to find the guy that Finn was talking about. She knew who it was as soon as she saw a grounder with a huge scar on his right eye.
"Around his neck."
When Gabriella focused better on the grounder's neck, her eyes widened at the sight of the familiar golden watch hanging there.
"What is it?" Wells asked, getting inpatient when he wasn't seeing anything either.
"He has Clarke's watch. The one that belonged to her dad." Gabriella told them, trying to keep her voice firm when in reality, she was freaking out.
"She wouldn't give that up without a fight." Wells said, stating the obvious.
"Neither will we." Finn all but growled, making Gabriella share worried looks with Bellamy and Wells.
Finn Collins was slowly losing his mind and there was no one that could keep him on the right road besides the one person they were all looking for.
After a few minutes of the group silently debating what their plan was gonna be, Bellamy let out a sigh. "Okay. Finn, Wells and Gabi are with me. Sterling, Monroe, stay here, out of sight. If this thing goes south, take out the other grounders, but don't shoot the grounder with the watch. Copy?"
"Copy."
"Copy."
"What about Murphy?" Monroe asked and the corner of Bellamy's twisted into a coy smirk, which Gabriella mirrored almost instantly when she put the pieces of his plan together.
"Yeah, do I get a gun now?" Murphy asked nonchalantly, not sensing the shift in the mood.
"Something like that."
To Gabriella's amusement, Bellamy's plan was to use Murphy as bait to lure the grounder out just in time for them to ambush him and drag him somewhere so they could get him to tell them where their people were.
Murphy ended up having to hit two rocks together, which only added to Gabriella's amusement. He looked so stupid she had to fight the urge to laugh as she watched him run away from his spot on a rock when the grounder got closer.
Gabriella straightened her posture and tightened her grip on Bellamy's rifle which she was still holding when the grounder passed in front of them, not seeing her, Bellamy and Murphy hiding behind a three. His obliviousness gave Gabriella enough time to lift the rifle in her hand and kick the back of his head which resulted in him falling down unconscious.
The blonde used the heel of her worn out boots to push the grounder's head, making sure he was actually unconscious. When he did not move, the rest of them made their way outside of their hiding spots.
Finn did not waste any time and got on his knees in front of the unconscious grounder to take Clarke's watch off his body, putting it into the pocket of his jacket afterwards.
"We have to take him somewhere quiet. We can't do this out in the open with fifteen other grounders around." Wells said, looking around like he was just waiting for another grounder to jump out.
"I know just the place.”
-
Finn brought them to the bunker he found for Clarke which was not that big of a surprise for Gabriella. No one but she and Finn went to the bunker and the mere sight of it only brought back the memories of Murphy's banishment and Charlotte's suicide.
Yeah, she hated the kid but it was not nonchalant about seeing a twelve year old kill herself by jumping off a cliff because of the burden of a terrible mistake she made.
"We're gonna do this again, and this time you're gonna stop screwing with us. Where did you find this?" The sound of Bellamy's voice brought Gabriella out of her thoughts and back to the situation in hand.
"I told you. I found it outside your camp." The beaten up grounder responded, his words followed by a grunt of pain.
"He's lying." Finn sneered, his patience running thin. "She would never take it off voluntarily."
"I know." Wells told him quickly, still trying to be the voice of reason. "But maybe it fell off."
Finn ignored him, tightened his grip on the watch and shoved it in front of the grounder's face, yelling, "Where is the girl who was wearing this watch?"
"I never saw a girl."
"Another lie." Murphy drawled out, from his corner of the bunker. "I mean, maybe you should stop asking him so nicely."
"Shut up, Murphy." Bellamy did not hesitate to snap back but his attention turned towards his co-leader when she raised a hand.
"I mean he has a point." She admitted.
Wells rolled his eyes. "We're not torturing him.”
"Yeah, I mean, weren't you pretty much against it when you found out I tortured a grounder when you got poisoned?" Bellamy retorted, leveling Gabriella with a challenging look.
His words made Murphy's head snap up and he looked between Gabriella and Bellamy with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "Hold on, you were poisoned?"
"Yeah, because you were getting your hands dirty just to save only Wells' life." Gabriella explained, completely ignoring Murphy's question and keeping her eyes locked with Bellamy's. "I'm fine with torturing this guy if it means we're gonna find all of our people. I can live with that."
"Torturing isn't a way to motivate him." Wells exclaimed, rubbing a frustrated hand over his face. "It will only make things worse."
"Well, sorry I didn't bring dog food with me, Charming." Gabriella snapped, turning around to give Wells an annoyed glare, frustrated that he did not seem to care about finding their people as much as she did.
"Where are our friends? You took them. We know you did. Just tell us where." Bellamy asked, looking down at the grounder and ignoring the silent argument going on behind his back.
Gabriella watched the grounder close his eyes, not saying anything else but that did not surprise her, judging by the fact that he has not said anything useful in the past hour they ha e been down here.
What she did not expect was for Finn to lift his gun a big and say, "Murphy is right. We're wasting time." Before either of them had a chance to process what was happening, Finn used the gun in his hand to punch the grounder across the face while yelling, "Answer the question! Hey! Where is the girl who was wearing this watch?"
Bellamy and Wells did not waste any time and they pulled Finn away from the grounder and as far away from him as they could.
"You don't want to do this. Trust me." Bellamy said, squeezing Finn's shoulder. "There are some lines you can't uncross."
His words made Finn snap back into reality for just a second, but as soon as Bellamy and Wells let him go, he did not hesitate to go back to punching the grounder. "Where's Clarke? Where is she?!" Wells got to Finn the fastest, but as soon as he tried to pull him off the grounder, Finn flinched away from his grasp and raised his gun at Wells' forehead. "Back off!"
"Finn, put the gun down." Gabriella told him calmly, suddenly feeling her blood run cold at the crazy look swimming in Finn's eyes.
The Collins boy did not even blink when he shifted his gun away from his friend and aimed it in the middle of the grounder's forehead.
"Three seconds." Finn yelled, after a beat, "Two!" and another, "One!"
Apparently threatening his life was enough to get the grounder to fess up. He let out a mix between a sigh and groan and spilled everything, "Okay! I'll tell you. Your friends are east of here. The village where we take our prisoners of war."
"East? Where? How do we get to them?" Finn asked, not moving his gun away from the grounder and keeping his fingers solemnly on the trigger.
"I can draw you a map." The grounder told him. "But you should hurry. Soon they'll outlive their usefulness."
With those words, Finn put the gun down, and did not break eye contact with the grounder as he ordered, "Get him something to draw a map."
Gabriella watched Monroe get them a couple pieces of paper while Sterling passed them an old pen, before she turned away from the scene, her hand slightly shaking.
Her gaze connected with Bellamy's worried one and she knew he was thinking the same thing. Finn was slowly losing it.
"And you thought I was the crazy one, huh?" Murphy spoke with an amused chuckle, walking up to stand between the leaders, clearly not noticing the tension in the air.
"Okay, what exactly is your point now?" Gabriella could not help but ask while glaring at Murphy. "We found the camp, which means we don't need him anymore."
"Please don't start." Wells pleaded from across the bunker, his face in the palms of his hands.
Gabriella knew she was not making the situation better but she also had to get the frustration out of her somehow, and snapping at Murphy was the best option. "I'm just saying: Finn is the tracker, Wells is the moral compass that prevents us from murdering more people, Bellamy and I are the leaders and the best gunners we have, Sterling and Monroe are the backup and John has no point anymore. He just talks a lot.”
"Yeah, well we aren't just gonna leave him to the grounders . . . "
Murphy seemed satisfied enough with that answer and strolled away from the two and toward some boxes across the bunker.
When he was out of earshot, Bellamy leaned down next to Gabriella, his breath fanning across her ear and his teasing words making a faint smile appear on her face.
" . . . yet."
-
"Gather up your gear and whatever stuff you found. We're leaving." Gabriella instructed, running a hand through her hair and watching Wells tuck the map the grounder drew for them in the pocket of his jacket.
"And what do we do with him?" Wells asked the blonde.
She looked back at the now gagged and tied grounder, grimacing at the blood sprawled across his face.
"For now, we leave him." Bellamy answered for her. "We'll deal with him when we're done."
"What if he escapes?" Murphy asked. "He knows exactly where we're going."
"We aren't killing him. We all have enough blood on our hands already, we don't need more." Gabriella exclaimed, quieting everyone except Murphy who was either looking for more ways to stay on her bad side or leaving a grounder alive was really bothering him that much.
"I'm not really seeing another option here. If we don't take care of this now, this is gonna blow back on us and you know that." Murphy argued and Bellamy was quick to shoot back.
"He's unarmed, Murphy."
"He's a grounder." Murphy all but growled, the reason for his dislike for grounders plainly obvious. When everyone stared at him with blank expressions on their faces he threw his arms up in the air. "Really? Come on. Tell them.”
"I don't know." Monroe shook her head uncomfortably.
"You don't know what? He's gonna tell his people everything. We're as good as dead. Our friends, too."
Gabriella's glare directed toward Murphy became more intense as she repeated, "We're not killing him. And, need I remind you, they're our friends. Especially after you locked Jasper up and threatened to kill him for being in the wrong place at the wrong time."
She knew it was a low blow to mention Jasper, who Murphy grew quite close to on The Ark but they were not on The Ark anymore and he made that very clear.
"Exactly." Bellamy agreed, "End of discussion. You want him, you gotta go through me."
"And what exactly happened to you, huh?" Murphy taunted him, "You're talking like you've never killed a grounder before."
"That was in battle." He defended himself, "This would be an execution--"
The argument was cut short when a loud shoot rang through the bunker and they all jumped in surprise, turning around to see the grounder on the floor with a bullet hole in the side of his head, Finn standing above him with his gun raised in front of him.
"Let's get moving." Was all Finn said, before brushing past the stunned delinquents and exiting the bunker, leaving behind the only piece of sanity he had left.
