One of the most fascinating thing for me when I watch Korean shows is the blurred elements.
I watched Dear My Friends a couple of years ago, and they would blur some set items. Graphics on mugs, CD covers, photos of ppl who are not actors on the show, etc. I was like 🤷 okay. Ya. They don't have the rights to these graphics. A bit weird but alright.
Now I'm watching The Guest. A horror drama with blood and gore and possession. And there aren't really any photos etc. To blur, but they do blur knives (specifically when they are used for violent acts) and some graphic content (disembowlment wounds, cuts on wrists, wounds in general, etc). And like... I'm watching a horror show, so I expect to kinda see this stuff, it feels a bit strange.
And I tried to look for what the censorship standard was in South Korean media, but I could only find information on information media censorship in South Korea. I'd love to read more on creative censorship and what can and cannot be displayed in creative works, especially tv. It doesn't seem to apply in movies as I've watched Korean horror before and don't remember seeing blurred elements.

C’mon doll. You know I love you. I can’t help but to hurt you. It’s how I show my love. You’re just so weak and insecure. It makes me love you more. I want to corrupt you. You know you want that too. Otherwise, you wouldn’t look at me with trust. You want to be broken and corrupted. You want me to hurt and assault you. You want the comfort of your old life ripped away.

s2 e8 of saiki k. saiki reveals that ever since he time traveled to the past and accidentally messed up the timeline in an earlier episode, he's been getting stuck in time loops. it's implied that this is caused by saiki's own anxieties, as clearing his head breaks him out of these loops. immediately after this is revealed, nendou almost dies violently, barely being saved by saiki's powers at the last second. time loops. saiki watches nendou die violently in front of him 16,785 times before breaking the loop by dissociating so heavily that he manages to save nendou without consciously thinking about it. this is entirely played as a gag and is never mentioned ever again.

I want to hear you whimper and cry as my leather boot keeps your head to the ground. The ridges and grooves imprinting on your cheek and temple. The scream you let out as I pretend to stomp your face in. Raising my foot and slamming it onto the ground, barely missing your skull.
