So, I have reached the final episode of season 6 of my Supergirl rewatch and I just have to reiterate: they did Nyxly so dirty.
I still don't understand what they were thinking. Nyxly is the first person to pass the Courage Totem's test, she's inundated with empathy from the Humanity Totem, she's completely open with the Truth Totem and is granted access to the Love Totem by choosing the life of a child over her own quest for power.
So, why did they just bung her back in the Phantom Zone!?
It wasn't a satisfying ending, it wasn't even a character arc - it was a circle! She ended up exactly where she started. Sure, Lex's hubris being his own downfall made sense for him, but him being in the second leg of season 6 at all felt so unnecessary that that wasn't satisfying, either.
Here's how I like to imagine this story arc going, because I'm never going to have the time or energy to do anything with this idea besides writing it down like this:
So, we've got Humanity, Hope, Courage, Dreams, Love, Truth and Destiny. 7 Totems. 7 Super Friends. Say, each Totem was tied specifically to a member of the Super Friends and so we're given an episode per Totem exploring a member of the team and their unique relationship to what that core element represented for them. (They sort of did this in the show but only for a couple of the Totems and they never really committed to it as a theme).
Narratively speaking, the Super Friends are working together to beat the trials, which is exactly what a superhero team should be all about. Together, they represent the best the planet has to offer.
Except, that's not the point of the trials. To gather the AllStone, you have to do it alone. And who's doing it alone? Nyxly. Nyxly bares her soul to these Totems, she gains most of them independently without cheating and the further along she gets into the trials, the more she's able to overcome the very reason for her pain and anger that led her down this path to begin with.
The Super Friends aren't looking for power, that was never their goal, and so of course they aren't playing by the rules to gain it, they're doing it in a way that everyone equally shares a part of the burden and so the effect isn't as intense. For Nyxly, though, by gaining all 7 Totems and going through those associated trials, I like to think that by the end of her arc, she willingly gives up that power.
And maybe that's the whole point of the AllStone. Only someone worthy of power should gain it, and the only people worthy of power are the ones that don't want it. The AllStone isn't meant to be a weapon or even a tool used by an individual, it's supposed to be for the whole world to share. And so the very mechanics of the trial will either fail those corrupted by their thirst for power long before they get a taste, or teach someone the true values of their own humanity by fairly passing every test.
I know the show wanted to go out with a bang and a big-stakes CGI battle with all the trimmings, but Nyxly was never designed as a villain. She was hurt and angry, but that never made her evil. She was a fifth dimensional imp, all she ever did was cause mischief, and so having her face her own reality through the trials would have been a major grounding factor for her.
To have the final villain of the show willingly give up their power not because it was beaten out of them, but simply because they decided to feels right to me. They built up the stakes so high in this season to make Nyxly out as the most powerful villain they'd ever faced -- and so maybe the only way to beat her was for her to decide that the fight was no longer worth fighting.
I dunno, it just would've been nice if the AllStone had actually meant something at the heart of it, and that Nyxly actually had a satisfying end to her story that made sense for her character.
Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i think i'm in love w KryptonLives!Kara now 😍
. . . I appreciated you saying that and then I got carried away, lol. 😆
“Alright,” she repeats. “Then I’ll show you your room and get you fed, and we’ll see if we can’t get the tailor in this afternoon.”
“The . . . tailor?” Thirteen wrinkles his nose, looking puzzled. “We’ve got clothes.”
“Do they all look like that?” Kara says, pointing at his current outfit instead of addressing just how empty both their bags look.
“Yeah?” He looks still more puzzled.
“Then no, you don’t have clothes,” she says. “You can’t go around dressed like that. Especially not you,” she adds, eyeing the crest on Match’s chest. “Whose family crest is that and why did Kal leave it on you?”
“It’s not a family crest,” Match says, clearly mystified by the assumption. “It’s branding.”
“. . . ‘branding’,” Kara echoes very, very slowly.
“We, uh, came from different labs,” Thirteen says, touching the El crest on his chest self-consciously. “Cadmus put, um, the S-shield on my suit, but the Agenda put their own logo on Match’s.”
“Logo?!” Kara demands in horror, because she cannot even approach the thing where Thirteen just called the El crest an “S-shield”, whatever weird nonsense that phrase means. Match just stares blankly at her in a way that distinctly reminds her of every subordinate she’s ever had transfer in from under an abusive bastard of a commander.
Right. Okay. If she can’t get a tailor in this afternoon, she’s going to go steal clothes out of Kal’s own damn closet for these two. That’s just what’s going to have to happen.
“You can’t wear that here,” she tells Match, forcing her voice to stay calm. “The council will think we haven’t accepted you into the House of El, if you’re wearing another–crest.”
“I’m always wearing it,” Match says, perfectly blank and perfectly neutral. “It doesn’t matter if it’s on my clothes or not.”
“. . . what does that mean,” Kara asks with fresh dread, and then has to deal with a physiological teenager unfastening the back of his already-indecent clothing and pulling the top of his bodysuit down to expose his chest, which, thank fuck she’s Warrior Guild or she’d have to have a conniption about that.
Which she doesn’t have time to do, because there’s a tattoo on Match’s chest, and that’s a much more important conniption to be having right now.
A tattoo of the Rao-damned logo, to be specific.
“Aethyr’s ass,” she says, staring at it in horror for a moment before she snaps out of it enough to cover her eyes. They’re “family”, yes, and Match is technically a child, but his body and mind are developed far past his chronological age and she just really doesn’t want him getting the idea that it’s acceptable to go around taking his clothes off this easily either way. The clothes are bad enough as they are. “Cover yourself, that’s not–you can’t just take your clothes off like that!”
“It was just my chest,” Match says with an audible frown in his voice, though at least she hears fabric rustle, and hopefully that means–yes, he’s fixing his bodysuit. Thank fuck.
“Your chest is not just,” Kara says, then vaguely remembers Kal mentioning something about how risqué most of the Earthling fashion he saw was and tries not to grimace. Just–gods, this whole experience is going to involve so much culture shock, isn’t it. “Your sex characteristics are inseminator-based, not carrier. You can’t just show people your chest.”
Match keeps staring blankly at her, the obvious desire to ask a question concealed in the back of his eyes, then just barely slants a look towards Thirteen, who glances back at him before frowning at her in confusion.
“Uh,” he says, still frowning. “Why not? He doesn’t have ti–breasts or anything. So why’s it matter?”
. . . Earth is very different from Krypton, Kara realizes.
“The only reason you should ever bare your chest in front of anyone not a sexually-inclined lover or a physician who’s directly examining you is if you’re feeding an infant,” she tells them. “Which most of us don’t even do, for the record, the birthing matrix generally means lactation isn’t triggered in carriers. Only the extreme throwback communities actually do carry anymore.”
“. . . what?” Thirteen says, clearly baffled. “Like–you just don’t get pregnant? None of you?”
“It’s not necessary, and it’s more difficult to genetically optimize children in-utero than in a birthing matrix,” Kara says. “Match, just–don’t show anyone that tattoo. Or mention it to anyone. The crest issue is bad enough, but getting tattooed is just . . . not a thing we do in proper society.”
Admittedly, she’s known a few Warrior Guild members who got something small, but it was never anything like a logo or–
“I didn’t ‘get’ it,” Match says, frowning at her. “The Agenda put it on me to identify me as their product.”
. . . Kara wants to scream.
“Either way, don’t mention it,” she says instead of doing that, because she is a grown goddamn woman and a general. “Well–you can tell Kal, obviously, but no one else."
“. . . why is that ‘obvious’?” Match says, and the fact he has to ask really does not make Kara feel good about this situation.
“He’s your petitioner,” she says. “He might need to know, especially if the council intends to have you two examined by physicians. Also, he won’t be an ass about it, unlike a lot of other people probably would.”
She doesn’t think anyone in their family would, at least as long as they knew Match didn’t get tattooed willingly, but she’s sure there’s a goddamn nosy neighbor or bastard council member or local gossip who’d take the excuse to.
“Uh, so body mods are a no-go in general, then, or . . .” Thirteen trails off, tugging uncomfortably at his earring.
“The earring’s a bit out there as a fashion statement, yes,” Kara says. Thirteen looks even more uncomfortable. She wonders why he even has it, considering. And only one, too? Not even a matching set?
“The hole, uh, won’t close,” Thirteen says, tugging at it again and not quite looking at her. “They pierced it when I was in early development, so . . .”
“What?” Kara blinks at him in bemusement. What does he mean by “early development”? Not when he was an infant, right? Why would–“Who did?"
“Uh,” Thirteen says, staring at the floor. “Well, Match got tattooed, and I got . . . tagged.”
. . . Kara wants to bomb so much more than just a lab right now, but if she gets any more enraged, a Red Lantern ring is going to come find her, and she just doesn’t have the time for that right now. Just–no, she really doesn’t.
“I see,” she says very, very calmly, then just . . . gestures towards the hall. “Your room’s this way. I only have one guest suite, so you’re going to have to share, but I got a second bed put in yesterday and you’ll have your own bath to share too. It’s fully stocked, and I’ll show you how to run the cleaning systems and how the plumbing all works.”
She can’t imagine Kryptonian plumbing or cleaning systems being particularly similar to Earthling ones, so . . .
“Um, okay,” Thirteen says, shifting awkwardly. “Uh–thanks. Ma’am. Uh, when’s lights out?”
Kara is going to have a fucking time with these kids, isn’t she. And not in a good way.
Lorra’s left tit. She is definitely, definitely throwing Kal off that building. And then she’ll take his new wife to tea while he recovers in the healing chambers, the little bastard, and show her every embarrassing childhood holo she can find.
“I have absolutely no idea how much sleep you need, so we’ll be figuring that out together,” she replies frankly. “For now, just don’t leave the apartment without me. I don’t want you getting lost and the council won’t like you wandering around unchaperoned yet either.”
“Yes, ma’am,” they both say in stiff, discordant unison, both looking tense.
Kara . . . exhales, slowly, and then leads the way down the hall.
“My suite and office are the whole top floor,” she says, pointing out doors as they go. “The kitchen is through here, that’s the guest bathroom, those are both storage, and that’s the living room. You can go anywhere in the house except for my suite and office, and if you need me while I’m in either of those, just chime.”
“‘Chime’?” Thirteen wrinkles his nose.
“Yes,” Kara says, then realizes he doesn’t know what she means. “Ah–you know? Chime?”
They both stare blankly at her. She sighs. She’s too damn old to chime, but . . .
“Like this,” she says, and then vibrates her secondary vocal chords to produce the sweet little sound. She hasn’t chimed in . . . Rao, since before she left for the academy, probably. Still, they’re still children, so–
“We’re–allowed?” Thirteen asks, his expression looking . . . strange. “To do that?”
“Yes,” Kara says, thinking longingly of bombing Earthling Thinkers’ labs. What does he mean “allowed”? “It’s chiming. Who’d keep a kid from chiming?”
“It’s obnoxious,” Match says flatly, clearly repeating someone else's words. Kara stares at him. Once again, he’s found a way to say something even worse than the thing she already thought was the worst thing she was going to have to hear today. It's almost impressive, at this point.
“It’s how you’re going to get my attention,” she says. “So you’d better get used to doing it, or you’ll have to call me on my comm every time you need something from me.”
“Can’t we just . . . knock?” Thirteen says. Kara has absolutely no idea what that means. She can’t think of a single child-call that sounds like hitting something.
“Depends,” she says, tilting her head. “What’s a knock call sound like?”
“A–what?” Thirteen looks baffled. “No, like–it’s not a . . . ‘call’?”
“It’s a knock,” Match says.
“Like, you know,” Thirteen says, and then reaches out and raps his knuckles against the wall. Kara gives him a blank look.
“How would I even hear that?” she says. Chiming carries. That was just . . . hitting the wall. Not even hitting it hard.
“I mean–you do it against the door,” Thirteen says, looking a little flustered. “Like, of the room someone’s in.”
So she’d be encouraging teenagers to hit her doors on the regular. No, that’s not happening.
“Just chime,” she repeats firmly, folding her arms, and Thirteen and Match share a look. Thirteen looks anxious. Match looks blank. Kara . . . doesn’t even want to know how she looks, at this point.

Yoon Jiwoo was a little scary, but you liked how reserved she was: she didn't ask you for anything, didn't try to get to know you deeply, just polite small talk and a few jokes. Instead of coffee she asked you to come and help her with dinner, and you agreed, fully understanding the implications.
The implication number one: your chin covered in her slick while she mewled above you and tugged on your hair.
The implication number two: you sprawled out on her bed, shaking after the second orgasm.
She was teasing you a lot, which wasn't something you necessarily liked in bed, but it suited her so you rolled with it (not like you had a choice, pinned under her).
Jiwoo kissed you goodbye and you went home at 1 am on Sunday, feeling a little better.
Like your world wasn't spinning around Abby, like you could start moving on and be happy while living with the best roommate you could wish for. There were other girls, available girls, and you didn't have to suffer. Were you available though? Well, not yet. But eventually your feelings would go away, you were sure of it.
When you came home you expected Abby to be asleep already - you told her you'd be late - but she was in the living room, playing Doom, frowning in concentration as she eviscerated her enemies. She looked good like this, in her grey sweats and muscle tee, her braid resting on her shoulder. Fuck, why were you like that? You just fucked someone, weren't you supposed to fantasise about Jiwoo right now and not drool over your roommate? Jiwoo had great arms too, and she was hot too, and she was the one to fuck you.
God you really were too deep in it if Abby in muscle tee was more exciting than literal orgasms.
You took a breath to calm yourself down and knocked on the door frame, careful not to scare Abby with your presence. She looked up and paused the game, taking her headphones off. She looked a little tired and you knew she wasn't supposed to be up this late.
"Hey. Why are you not in bed yet?" You sat next to her on the couch, your knee touching her thigh.
"Was waiting for you." Abby murmured and rubbed her neck. "I wanted to make sure you'd come home safe."
Fuck you and how caring you are, you thought desperately. Jiwoo also told you to text her when you'd be home, why weren't you thinking of this? Why weren't you texting her right now?
"Well, I am." You smiled a little. "You should go to sleep, Abby. You'll be grumpy in the morning."
"Yeah. Are you hungry? I made pasta."
"You can't do this to me, seriously." You said dramatically and let Abby guide you to the kitchen.
She heated up the food for you and made herself tea after you gave her shit for wanting to drink coffee at 1am.
"How was it?" Abby asked politely and you tensed.
"Great."
"Just great?" Abby laughed kindly.
"Yeah, well. Stress relief is stress relief." You chuckled, not really understanding why Abby was curious about your sex life.
It hurt a little, that while you hooked up with Jiwoo to get Abby out of your system, she was now trying to make small talk about it.
Abby must've noticed your reluctance, because her teasing grin fell.
"Sorry, I'm so used to Ellie waxing poetry about her hookups so for some reason I expected you to do that too." Abby smiled sheepishly.
"Oh, don't worry. I just don't kiss and tell, you know. Unless you want a crush course in lesbian sex." You winked, curious if you'd make her shy, and yeah, Abby's cheeks were just slightly pink.
"I mean, Ellie talks so much about girls I feel like I could give you a crush course."
You laughed: bantering with Abby was easy and familiar and you felt a bit better, and not in love at all. Just two gals being pals.
You were lying in your bed and you couldn't fall asleep as you were going back to this weekend. You felt like the whole hookup with Jiwoo was just some kind of revenge, a knee jerk reaction to Abby breaking your little air castles where you two were in love and happy together. You told Cait you wouldn't use other people to get over Abby, but even though the thing with Jiwoo was mutually beneficial, it didn't make you feel any better. Especially since it only gave you relief that lasted until you came home.
It was a bad idea to begin with and now you regretted it a little. The sex was great, and you had a lot of fun, but the motivation behind it made you question your choice. You had to deal with your hurt before you tried to weave other people into it.
It was Monday and you decided it was time for plan B: get distracted by getting another student. Work was good, work meant mind exercises and money. Usually you'd get recommended by your previous students, but sometimes your professors would ask you to help someone out, and today was the day when you got lucky.
Your professor caught you in the corridor while you were walking to your next class and you got scared at first - did you miss an assignment and were losing your points?
"I gave your number to one of my students, she is smart but she had to miss a lot of classes. She needs to pass the test at the end of November, can you help her?"
"Yeah, of course." You nodded politely.
"Thanks." Your professor patted you on the shoulder and hurried to her next class. God, she was always running like a headless chicken and you adored that chaotic energy in her. She was a very talented teacher, she asked for a lot, but she always gave second chances, so if this girl got her to let her improve her grade, then you'd do your best to help her.
Also, you thought as you watched the hottest fucking person walk through the doors of the library on Wednesday afternoon, you'd have to do your best and keep it in your pants.
She was built very similar to Abby, the same defined arms and wide shoulders, and she had tattoos. Her nose was pierced and even the bright pink hair looked organic.
Even the way she walked was hot - Abby was always commanding, and your new student (she was bee lining to your table) walked confidently, like she didn't fucking care and like she knew she was hot.
Oh this one wasn't straight. No straight girl had the same energy as her. No, this kind of confidence came from wanting to attract a different kind of attention, the attention straight girls didn't seek and didn't need.
You sat more straight in your seat as the girl came closer, and for some reason you expected her to be cocky, but she smiled at you and you melted.
"Hi. You are (y/n)?" You nodded and the girl sat next to you. "I'm Vi."
"Nice to meet you." You said, trying to play it cool. Not only she was hot as fuck, she also seemed sweet? "Prof said you need to pass the test?"
"Yeah. I need at least B on this, and I don't understand a thing." Vi chuckled. "I read at home, but it all sounds fucking insane."
You laughed.
"Which part? I bet it's Kant."
"More like cunt if you ask me." Vi mumbled and you laughed again.
"Okay. Let's start from the beginning and then Kant will make more sense later on. Are you going to have only western philosophy on your test or do we need to cover everything?"
"I think it's only western."
You put your professional face on and tried to ignore how hot Vi was as best as you could, but judging by her little knowing smirk she was fully aware of her affect on you - though you didn't really mind. She was hot and sweet and made you feel something else except fucking sadness and desperation.
Maybe you could get both distractions this time, you thought as Vi smiled at you and looked a little lower than what would be considered friendly.
This week Abby spent way too invested in talking to Owen. They texted regularly and Abby found herself checking her phone every five minutes. He excited her: Abby liked his attention and his jokes, and it didn't happen often to her. Boys were more annoying than enjoyable, so when she'd meet a guy who was actually cool she tried not to pass the opportunity.
And now when she was spending so much time on Owen she didn't get her weird panics around you anymore. Abby still enjoyed cuddling with you and talking to you, but now she felt safe to do that, when she had an outlet to deal with her loneliness. She could cuddle you and then go to Owen to get her healthy fix of sex and intimacy.
Not that Abby planned to, but knowing she had an escape made her feel more confident, as if she separated her affectionate side from her lonely horny side.
from: (y/n)
r u home?
can you meet me downstairs?
I need help
Abby locked her phone and went to the hallway to put her doc martens and a coat - the third week of October wasn't really warm. She quickly made her way downstairs, a little worried about what you needed help with.
You were standing in front of the stairs with two big plastic bags and Abby just stared at you.
"You okay?" She asked with doubt. Why did you buy two full bags of groceries? Why did you even go without her when it was her job to do all the heavy lifting in the house? "You should've called me."
"I didn't plan to go grocery shopping, I just wanted to buy the cookies, but I spiralled." You shrugged. "Can you help me carry them?"
Abby took all the bags, not letting you touch them at all even when you protested ("equal labour, come on" "you're hunched in your chair 24/7 you have the back of a grandma, chill"). You made light small talk while you went upstairs, Abby told you about her classes and how annoyed she was with some of them: she liked to bitch about stuff with you because you bitched right back without trying to cheer her up. You just understood Abby's need to vent.
Abby took her shoes off and went to the kitchen so she could start unloading the bags. You were still shuffling in the hallway when she opened the bag and stared into the inside.
"What the fuck?" Abby mumbled as she looked over the whole bag filled with her favourite protein bars.
By that point you came to the kitchen and had the audacity to look like you didn't understand why Abby was shocked.
"Oh, yeah. They were on sale."
Abby stared at you.
"So you bought the whole aisle?"
"You burn through them like they're made of oxygen, come on." You said, embarrassed, and Abby laughed.
"You're insane." Abby chuckled and came closer, holding your face in her warm hands so she could pepper your face with small kisses.
"Thanks." Kiss. "You're ridiculous." Kiss. "I l-"
Abby's words got stuck in her throat: she couldn't finish this sentence. She didn't know why, but it felt like she meant something way different from what it was supposed to mean between friends. It didn't seem like you've noticed, so Abby kissed your forehead and moved away, making herself pay attention to your pleased face instead of wallowing in her anxiety.
"Did you really get the whole aisle?"
"I took every pack they had, yes. It was on sale, pretty good deal if you ask me."
"Whatever you say mathematician." Abby chuckled and helped you put other groceries in their place.
She couldn't stop herself from smiling: you cared. You remembered small things about her the same way she remembered small things about you (she made sure to buy you your favourite cookies every time she was shopping), and it was so warming. She felt her heart grow with l-
Why couldn't she use this word for you? God, she thought she was over her stupid panic. It was okay to love her friends. It was okay.
Maybe she should hook up with Owen again.
Vi asked you to come to her place for your fourth lesson - she had training before and she would have been late for the lesson if she had to go to the library from there. You didn't mind so you put your books into your bag and went over to her place.
Vi told you she lived with her younger sister, and you saw the pictures around the apartment: it seemed like bright hair was a theme here.
Vi's room was a little bigger than yours, and was surprisingly aesthetic with decor. There were a lot of drawings ("my sister drew them") and her table was kinda cluttered, but she quickly freed some space so you could put your books somewhere.
Being in Vi's room made you tingle. It was obvious to both of you how attractive you found each other, and you couldn't shake the thought she invited you for a different reason with the amount of tension between the two of you.
You were sitting pretty close, her strong jean-clad thigh pressed against yours, but you tried to not pay attention to it and focus on the lesson. So far Vi's been an excellent student, not shy to ask you the same question as many times as she needed, getting to the bottom of it no matter what. Sometimes you had to change your usual explanation so Vi would understand, and putting your brains to work made you feel good.
"Okay, okay, I've got it. Fucking mental gymnastics." Vi sighed as she wrote her answer on a test sample. "Check."
You read her answer and smiled: it was perfect.
"Good job." Vi’s eyes lit up.
"I want a reward." Vi said and you chuckled before picking up your pen and writing a good job with a star on her paper.
"Good enough?" Vi chuckled at this and moved closer to you, putting her elbow on the table to support herself. "Something else?" You were teasing her, you knew, but you were so curious how it’d play out.
"Yeah, I have a better idea." She murmured as she moved her face closer to yours, waiting for you to give her green light. You smiled and moved closer, enjoying her wide eyes and a pleased smirk.
Vi kissed you and you lost your breath for a moment, shocked by how gentle and tentative she was. She was sweet, god she was sweet. If it wasn't for one stupid straight blonde in your life you could have fallen in love with Vi just from the way she kissed.
You moved away, feeling guilty: you didn't really know what Vi wanted from you, and she didn't deserve to be fucked over because you were an idiot who was in love with their roommate.
"Hey-hey. Wait a second."
"Did I misread the situation?" Vi asked, worried, searching your face for an answer.
"No. But I'd like to know what you want from this, so we could be on the same page."
"I just think you're hot."
"Nothing serious?"
"No?" Vi looked like she was scared she'd hurt your feelings with her words, but you only sighed in relief.
"Good. Because I think you're hot too." Vi smirked at this and kissed you again, holding your neck with her palm as she stroked your jaw with her thumb. "Is this why you asked me to come here today?"
"No." Vi laughed as she squeezed your hips and moved you to her lap, pressing you closer. God she was strong. "But now I think past me was a genius."
You chuckled and kissed her again, burying your fingers in her soft hair as she pushed her hands under your shirt. Vi sighed into your mouth and you smiled while your hips started to live their own life, grinding against Vi. You were stupidly turned on by how strong and sweet she was, so careful with how she touched you, as if you were not a one night stand but the love of her life.
"You're gentle." You commented when Vi carefully placed you on the bed.
"I get that a lot." Vi grinned and you rolled your eyes playfully. "Tell me what you want."
You smiled at that and tugged her shirt off, staring hungrily at her abs and tattoos. She looked like she could destroy you and put you back together and your stomach burned while your eyes went dark with desire.
"Fuck me.”
---
“You sure you don’t want to come?” You asked and Abby snapped out of watching you get ready in front of the mirror. Abby came to chill out in your room as you went through your wardrobe to find something that’d work for a Halloween party.
“I’m not feeling it.” What Abby actually meant: Owen was getting a little too aggressive with his attempts to ask her out and she didn’t want to run into him.
“Well, you know how they say, you just need to come and the mood will come too.”
“No, really, I just want to stay home today. But you have fun, you’ve been working the whole week, you need it.”
You’ve been coming home late the past few days, having more lessons than usual, and Abby felt bad for you. At least you seemed to be in a good mood most of the time, more relaxed and happy than the previous week, and Abby was glad the amount of work wasn’t taking a toll on you.
“Thanks, Abby.” You smiled in the mirror and Abby smiled back. She couldn’t look away from you, a little fascinated by your little rituals with all the skin care products you were using. Sometimes she asked you questions about especially weird things she saw in your hands, but otherwise she stayed quiet and just watched you.
Abby never really was a girly girl, with no desire to learn how to apply makeup or to wear skirts, and when she was a teenager a lot of people liked to tell her if she didn’t get more feminine she’d never find a boy, because boys liked everything she didn’t. And listen, she tried. She even learned how to use eye liner, but when she looked at herself in the mirror she felt like a clown, and she decided the potential boy in her life wasn’t worth trying to become someone she wasn’t. But even if Abby herself didn’t care about doing girly things, she liked watching other girls do their magic: how Ellie painted her nails black, how Nora did her hair, how you applied god knows how many creams/essences on your face. It was calming to her.
“So, what are you going for?” Abby nodded at the bunch of clothes on your bed.
“The laziest vampire on earth.” You sighed. “You know, all black, some sunglasses to look like an asshole. We still have cranberry juice, right? I’ll pretend it’s blood.”
“Wow, that’s bad.” Abby laughed.
“Well I can’t come in my usual clothes, that would be even worse. I’ll try to look like the lack of effort was a choice and you know what? I’ll look hot doing it.”
“You definitely will.” Not that Abby understood anything in women’s hotness, but hey. She met girls who made her head turn, so.. Listen, she didn’t know where she was going with this thought. All girls were pretty, okay. It was the universal truth, what was the point of thinking she didn’t know when women were hot, she wasn’t a blind idiot.
Abby walked you out of the door with a promise you’d call her if anything happens and a kiss on the forehead.
from: Owen
Are you out tonight?
Fuck, Abby thought. Fuck-fuck-fuck. If she’d say she was home he’d definitely ask to come over, and lying was pointless. Abby stared at her phone once more. But what if she’d want to hook up with him later? Fuck. This shit shouldn’t have been so complicated.
Well. She could lie in a different way.
to: Owen
sorry, I’ve got a fever so I stayed home
That was so stupid and hardly believable, but Abby didn’t want to deal with Owen right now. Or ever.
Thankfully he left her on read and Abby sighed in relief before going to the living room to finish the next level in Doom. It took her a few hours after she fell down to death a bunch of times, missing the right moment to jump from one stupid pillar to another. And the boss at the end of the level was pretty hard, so when she finally beat him it was close to 2:30 am.
Abby tidied the living room and then took a shower, her eyes hurt a little after staring at the screen for so long. She came back to her room and cautiously checked her notifications in fear Owen’d drunk-text her, but instead there was a text from you.
from: (y/n)
Im w a girl
Abby stilled as she read your text, her heart squeezing in pain that she didn’t understand. Was she jealous? But she just turned Owen down, so it couldn't be right. Abby shook her head as if it’d shake the thoughts out of her head and quickly got ready for bed - she hoped to fall asleep before you’d come home with a girl.
It seemed like the universe hated her that night, because when she felt she was finally falling asleep, relieved she wouldn’t hear you coming home, the front door clicked open.
Abby shut her eyes and tried not to listen to any sounds: to be fair, she didn’t hear anything until your bedroom’s door was shut. She didn’t want to think about what was happening in your bedroom, but then she heard it.
You were clearly trying to be quiet, but one of your whimpers was too loud. Abby’s ears rang and her heart started beating faster from anxiety. Despite herself her head got filled with pictures of some random girl touching you. Abby wanted to barf, wanted this girl out of your bedroom, wanted to fucking rip her arms off for making you sound like that.
Abby took a deep breath and sat on the bed, her ears tuned to your bedroom - it seemed like you noticed your mistake and got quieter, but Abby didn’t need you to make any more sounds to feel absolutely sick, her brain conveniently showing her how you were being fucked right now.
Abby huffed in disgust and stilled suddenly, noticing her emotions. She was disgusted? Fucking hell she was.
You were having sex next door and Abby was so disgusted and angry she wanted to break something. She felt guilty, because you didn't deserve this, you didn't do anything bad, but Abby couldn't shake her feelings and her unbearable fantasies off.
Abby took another deep breath and grabbed her headphones, determined to force herself into sleep, even if she couldn't breathe properly from her awful feelings.
And Abby would have to be nice in the morning, wouldn't she?

I'm back with more viking au questions, because I'm a bit excited. Is it a one shot? Planning on both being Scandinavian? Where is it set?
It's likely a multichapter, and Kara is Scandanavian but Lena is Anglo-Saxon. And I'm probably going to set it in Wessex or Mercia!
Here's a lil sneak peek
-
Two of the male warriors are engaged in some kind of game of strength, wrestling each other drunkenly to the ground while the rest of the clan cheers them on, and while Lex is watching the ruckus with a neutral expression Lena has become accustomed to reading his moods from the smallest of cues. His contempt for the Norse is evident from his place at the centre of the high table.
In Lena's distraction the chair beside her, which had been blissfully empty, is filled in a blur of furs and blonde hair.
It's the woman who had been at Clark Jorelsson's side this morning. The one whose intense gaze had lit Lena aflame.
"Gods, I'm thirsty," the woman says, grabbing the nearest mug of ale and downing half its contents in a few moments. She's panting for breath when she finishes, a thin line of foam gracing her upper lip as she grins. "What I wouldn't give for some good honey-mead!"
"Is our ale not sufficient?" Lena says delicately. She folds one leg over the other, and the flaxen-haired woman's eyes dart down to track the movement. They stay there perhaps a shade longer than is proper.
"Simply an unfamiliar brew. But I am a far-traveller. I search out new experiences," the woman says, setting the mug down with more restraint than her brethren – these Norse are all so loud, so exuberant in their feasting. Singing and shouting and fighting with each other for sport. This woman is quieter than the rest, despite her warrior's stature. Her presence is a balm.
Lena hums. "And here I thought all Norse warriors were simply machines of war."
The woman snorts. "Only when we have to be."
"Tell that to the monks at Lindisfarne."
The woman's grin widens. She stares at Lena for a moment, seeming delighted despite Lena's borderline antagonism, and finally she holds out an arm to clasp.
"I am Kara Zorelsdottir. Clark is my kin."
"Ah. So you are to be my kin too, then?" Lena says, her own words tasting bitter in her mouth. The reminder of a marriage she didn't agree to. She glances across the room, where Clark is sitting slumped in his seat with a mug of ale in each hand. He looks about as thrilled with the situation as Lena feels.
She takes Kara's arm. The blonde's grip is firm and strong; the defined muscles of her forearm shift under Lena's hand, hidden by her furs. Kara's smile dims a little at Lena's words.
"That seems to be the way of it."
Kara's grip loosens. Lena finds she's loath to let it go, but she releases Kara's arm and settles back in her seat.
"My clan tries to make violence a last resort," Kara explains. When a passing servant moves to refill her mug as he passes, Kara holds a hand over it with a shake of the head. "Which is why we left home. Got tired of all the raiding. We just want to live in peace."
"And my marriage to your cousin is what will seal it for you," Lena says. Kara's mouth forms a tight line. The sputtering torches and roaring hearth fire in the centre of the hall flicker across her face, throwing her handsome features into stark detail.
"That’s Jonn’s hope."
"Clark himself doesn’t seem to hold the same hope," Lena notes with a nod in his direction. Kara chuckles humorlessly.
"He has a beloved back in Norway. Her father disapproved of the match, but he still pines for her." Kara takes an idle swig of her half-full ale. "I think he’s crazy for not jumping for joy when he saw you."
Lena's heart kicks a fierce drumbeat in her chest.
"Do you?" Lena says, managing to keep her voice even with great effort. Kara shrugs. She pulls a coin from her pocket, flicking it between her fingers in a thoughtless movement that Lena is sure took much practice.
"I told him if he’s to have a chosen match, at least he got the most beautiful one in Christendom."
Lena's whole body flushes with pleasant warmth.

Magic
Tumblr media
"Kara!" A voice echoed in her head.
"Kara! Stay with me!" The voice continued. She heard it start to speak again but the endless darkness consumed her before she could hear the rest.
The next time she heard the voice it was accompanied by a different one.
"She's moving"
"I think it's working."
"It's better."
Kara tried to open her eyes, but everything was too bright. She let out a small groan which only made her realise how dry her mouth was, it felt like sand and rocks.
"Kara?"
A warm hand laid on her arm, making her dare to finally open her eyes. Blinking a few times to get her eyes adjusted to the light, Kara was greeted to the face of her beautiful Lena, and her worried sister by her side.
"Oh, thank god," Lena exhaled.
"Did he..?" Kara's voice came out hoarse and raspy.
"We got the guy," Alex assured her, handing her a glass of water. "It was one of the guys that escaped after the heist a few months back with the alien weapons. Apparently he got blasted by one of them and it caused him some strange mutation and a hunger for electricity. He's in holding now, we're looking for a way to cure him. You did good Kara."
Kara nodded, afraid to use her voice again. She decided to finish the glass of water, instead.
"How are you feeling?" Lena asked softly.
"Pretty beaten," she tried to chuckle but only a small huff came out. "How long was I out?"
"A few hours. Luckily Lena had created this new serum, it means you're up early but you'll probably be powerless for a while." Alex explained, making some notes on the pad she grabbed from the end of Kara’s bed.
A few hours was quite impressive, she assumed she should've been out for at least a day.
"Wait!" Reality suddenly came back to her, "the kids!"
"They're fine!" Lena reassured her.
"Did I…" Kara swallowed hard. "Did I miss the birth?" Kara really hoped she didn't. Not that it would matter too much in the long run as long as they're healthy and happy, but she really wanted to be there to greet them when they come.
"No, of course not." Lena touched her hand and smiled her calming smile. "I waited to see if the serum worked so we could do it together. They should meet both their mothers when they come out after all."
Kara breathed a sigh of relief. They were okay and they were waiting for her. Most importantly Lena was not only waiting for her, but made her a special emergency serum that worked perfectly. Well, Lena made it, of course, it would be perfect. "I love you." Kara raised her hand to link her fingers with Lena.
"I love you too." Lena gave her hand a squeeze. She was definitely solar flared, going by the feeling of her squeeze. "Can you move?"
"Hey! You can't move her now! She needs a full day under a sunlamp at the very least before she moves!" Alex interjected, emphasising her point by talking with her hands.
"Alex," Lena's tone turned professional. "My kids are about to come out into the world today and they need us both. Plus, the serum should give her a pretty good solar radiation boost, by the time it wears off I promise you she'll be well tucked into a sunbed as she should be."
"Right," Alex nodded. "I'll keep it warm for you." She had enough sense not to argue with Lena Luthor in mother mode. Probably a lesson she'd be glad she learned sooner rather than later.
"That won't be necessary, she'll stay in the one we have at home."
"We have a sun bed?" It was news to Kara.
"Yes. Now, can you stand?"

Okay okay now the pregnancy prompt with the Hantengu clones please? 🍿👀
(Would Urogi's result in an egg 🤔 Bonus if Urogi's has wings too and starts flying after like two months or something lol)
MAMA ( NON GENDERED ) THE POPCORN PLEASE. These will be shorter bc there's four mfs on this post
The Hantengu clones with a pregnant s/o + Fathering hcs
Cws : pregnancy, labor and childbirth ( nondescript ) , karaku is . Like that , sekido has like some implied toxic behavior but what do u want from me
Sekido
Tumblr media
Pregnancy with sekido... Godspeed ladies and others with the ability to get knocked up.
He notices the change in your demeanor almost immediately. You avoiding him and being skittish.
Of course it pisses him off, figuring you're hiding something from him. He'll grab you by the arm and yell "out with it! There's no way a mortal like you would be stupid enough to cheat right!?"
And when you say you're pregnant he thinks he might be wrong on that assumption until you tell him without a doubt that it's his. Then he's just... Stumped? Doesn't know how to process that information.
During the duration of the pregnancy he's skeptical. And keeps tabs on you constantly. The idea of a demon siring is so unheard of it's only natural that he'd worry about loyalty.
God awful when it comes to handling hormones and mood swings. He doesn't know how to soothe you and ends up frustrated with himself which leads to an explosion on the other clones. Never you. He knows stress could kill the child, after all. He's not daft.
Even if he grumbles, sekido is very willing and happy to massage your ankles and any other soreness from your body.
When labor comes knocking? Sekido is snapping at the other three constantly as they flounder around uselessly. Flailing with the midwife watching them like a group of crazy people.
It's too silent comparatively when you're screaming in agony and all he can do is hold your hand while Urogi and Karaku offer platitudes he can't.
A daughter. Small and so so frail compared to her father. Resting in his arms as you recover from the task of birth.
Sekido has never claimed to be a perfect man. And he will never claim to be a perfect father.
He snaps at the little girl often . And will often apologize by offering her gifts. Words have never been his strong suit.
He gets worse as she ages. Not towards her , but the idea of her getting older. Relying on him less.
Protective and stern dad. No boyfriends.
Karaku
Tumblr media
"How much sex have you been having without me??"
Punch him in the mouth first of all. But he's a tease through and through. Especially if you're a monogamous sort.
He "accuses" you of cheating despite knowing well and good you almost certainly haven't. Especially when he hardly lets you leave your home. He just likes getting you defensive and huffy!!
He's honestly pretty surprised though! Demons aren't supposed to have kids! Boy is your womb built different!
Karaku pouts when your hormones make you anything else other than horny. It's the one he's best suited to handling!! And you're just gonna be a bitch because your brain chemicals are off kilter? Weak.
Despite being a brat he's actually rather attentive. Being a creature of pleasure, Karaku is the most adjusted to being around humans and interacting with them. So he knows how to placate you!
Likes to tease about silly cravings you have though. So long as he thinks you can handle it.
Labor? Karaku has left the building in order to scream into the wilderness give him 10 minutes. He wants to not overwhelm you while you're busy pushing something out of you.
When he returns he's ignoring sekido's glower in favor of returning to your side and helping you through the process.
And as his son is born all he can think about is how gorgeous you are. All exhausted. But so much stronger than so many slayers hes faced! He thinks at least.
Kara is a fun dad kind of guy. One who prioritizes play over discipline or academics. So those will fall to you for the most part. He's not incapable. Just... annoying?
You have come home to Karaku lodged in a half broken wall because he thought it a good idea to hand a three year old his uchiwa.
You know that meme of the mom scolding the kid , the dad stepping in and proceeding to get scolded? Yeah that's karaku.
Aizetsu
Tumblr media
"It's sad, knowing you're lying to me."
Is his dead ass reaction, and bro just straight up starts to walk away. You have to grab him and insist several times you went to the doctor and confirmed it!! You even have the doctor's note!
Aizetsu still doesn't believe it until you start to show symptoms. Only then does he stop sulking about your cruel prank on him.
Holds your hair back as you suffer from morning sickness. What a champ. Even if he's grossed out.
He's the most attentive and empathetic of the clones!! The best at giving words of affirmation when you're crying over silly things. Or when he tells you he won't let you eat rocks.
Sometimes if you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of a smile when he's looking at your bump growing. He likes having his hand there. Assuring himself that it's real and not some dream.
Aizetsu speaks to your stomach often, telling your child about his day and asking questions. He has full on conversations with them!
To be honest... labor? Aizetsu will probably black out and/or faint throughout the entire process. Coming to when Karaku is shaking him about how cute his new daughter is.
And he nearly ( does ) break down at the revelation that he has a little girl.
When he holds her for the first time he whispers to her how he'll never let her suffer or even know sorrow. While you're unconscious.
He stays true to his word as well. Whenever his daughter fusses he's there in an instant. Calming her. Feeding her. Whatever it is she needs. You wake up quite often to the sight of Aizetsu cradling her against his chest while waiting for you to wake up.
She becomes a spoiled princess because of it. But he wouldn't have her any other way. After all, he wants her happy.
Urogi
Tumblr media
At first, Urogi is perplexed. Head cocked n all.
Now, to have eggs would insinuate having a cloaca and being fertilized. And I'm assuming you to be human.
So really it's more awe in how you are able to carry his children in the first place.
But he's ecstatic! Beyond excited!
Of course he'll have to ask around for advice but he's doing the best he can!! Running errands for you, making sure you're comfortable, etc
His method of dealing with your hormones is to try and make you laugh. In any way he can. Jokes. Silly faces. Shock. So long as he can get you laughing!
Instinctively he makes a nest out of all of your blankets , pillows and towels. A place for you and his chicks to be safe! And warm!! Incubated!!
Insists that you birth in the nest! It's the best for the babies. Is what his instincts are telling him.
He wants to touch your bump, but with his talons he settles instead on resting his head on it. Listening for any movement and smiling in awe at how they move around.
Urogi handles labor surprisingly well. He's territorial of course, so the other three aren't allowed in. Only you, him and a midwife.
He cheers you on the entire time. Offering his arms to squeeze as to not harm you with talons. He'd much rather you not bleed out in the nest while giving birth. Especially because you got a vein with his claws.
Yet he hears two little cries. Apparently the first had been silent until her little sister had also escaped you.
And the first thing he noticed were the beautiful downy wings on their backs. Only paired with talon like feet. Much more human hands. Unlike his own.
He watched you hold them. Listening to the chittering chirping noises they made.
Oh what a day to be the clone of joy!
And he continues to think that when his two little girls are attempting ( in vain ) to flutter after him. Wings still far too downy to do any proper flying.
Preens them incessantly!! Hair and wings !! And he's elated to watch you do the same. Caring for them the same way he taught you to care for his!!
When the day they begin to fly at the age of three? He knows what anxiety is. Watching them clumsily flutter about like a hawk, and saving them any time they begin to falter.
It makes you laugh, how nervous he gets about something that used to absolutely drive him wild with excitement when they were born.

For Her Sake - Chapter 19
Tumblr media
AO3 Link
Kara rushes to take a box out of Alex’s hands. Despite being told that she shouldn’t be doing any heavy lifting, she’s still doing her best to make the day more difficult by having everyone keep an eye on her so they can snatch boxes out of her hands as she tries to carry them into the new apartment.
“Alex, can you please stop? This is hard enough without us having to babysit you. I know you don’t like to feel like you’re not pulling your weight, but you can still do plenty of work just by pointing your finger at where everything can go.”
“So you can rearrange it later? No thanks. I’m going to go and start unpacking Lori’s things.” Alex hands over the box to Kara and stalks off with a scowl. She really does get grumpy when she can’t help out the way she wants. At least the others didn’t hear her little tantrum because they are outside getting more boxes and furniture from the van that Lena so kindly arranged for them to get so they can move everything into their new apartment.
Kara sighs and sets the box down atop the coffee table so she can find the label scratched onto the side of it with a sharpie. ‘Kara bedroom’. “Ok.” She mumbles to herself, heaving it back up and heading to what is going to be her new bedroom.
This is only the third box set down against one wall and the second she’s taken in there herself, but her heart flutters as she steps inside. It’s been a long while since she’s had her own space. Of course, she loves her sister and her daughter, and she can’t complain about their living situation before, but having this room will be hers, just hers. That feels like magic.
Not to mention the fact that she’s going to have her own bed too. They have had to take out another loan so they can get beds and furniture, but even Alex wasn’t too stressed about it, and that’s telling. Having stable jobs has done wonders for calming her anxiety. Kara is keeping the old bed so Alex can have a nice, comfy new mattress to help ease her back on the harder days, something firmer with more support.
“Hey, you. Are you hiding in here?” Lena’s voice breaks her away from her train of thought.
“Sorry, no. I was just thinking, is all.”
Lena sets another box down on the pile, one aptly labelled ‘Kara’s clothes.’
“Penny for your thoughts.” Lena leans against the doorframe idly, her arms crossing over her chest and her eyes dazzling in the light streaming in from the window.
Kara’s lips curl up into a tender smile. “I was just thinking about how far we’ve come. From that other apartment and struggling to so much as put food on the table and the fear that we would be kicked out at a moment’s notice, which I guess did happen, to us getting lucky and finding this place. We both have jobs, Lori’s happy, I’m happy, I’m going to have my own space for the first time in god knows how long. I have my good luck charm of a girlfriend. I couldn’t be happier.”
Lena glides forward, wrapping her arms around Kara’s waist and resting her forehead on her shoulder. “For the record, you make me very happy too. I’m so proud of you guys for doing all of this.”
“Lena, you caused all of this. We couldn’t have done it without you. We owe it all to you.”
“I don’t think that’s true. I might have helped a little, but you would never have gotten this far if you didn’t have the drive and the love you do. Hell, you got the job at Reign yourself. Sam would have never hired you if you didn’t fit the bill for the staff she needed, and I wouldn’t have hired Alex without her expertise. You’ve got to give yourself more credit.”
“I can give myself credit whilst acknowledging how much you’ve changed my life for the better and being immensely grateful that I met you.” Kara nuzzles her nose into Lena’s hair briefly before leaning back and pressing her lips to Lena’s for a brief moment. She can scarcely believe that she can actually do that now.
Lena shakes her head at her fondly. “One day, I’ll get you to take a compliment.”
“I look forward to that day.” Kara presses another kiss to soft, red lips before pulling Lena to the door by her hands. “Come on, let’s go grab the rest of the boxes, I want to hurry so we can go furniture shopping.”
“I thought you were going to wait and do that in a few days once you’ve unpacked a bit.”
Kara shrugs. “Originally, yeah. We were going to wait until after payday, but then we realized that we still only have one bed and we want to get everything set up so we took out a little loan that we think we can pay off within a couple of months. Lori is super excited about having her own room, so it felt harsh to move in but tell her she can’t stay there because we haven’t bought her a bed yet.”
Lena nods along. “You don’t have to justify anything to me, but I think that sounds like an excellent plan. Besides, it’s probably a good idea to get it all while you have the van at your disposal. I dread to think what it would look like trying to fit anything more than a nightstand in Winn’s car.”
Kara points her finger at Lena. “That’s a very good point.”
“Ok, let’s go and get the rest of the stuff inside so we can go and do that.” Together they start heading out of Kara’s room, but as they pass Lori’s room, Lena spots Alex sitting cross-legged on the floor. “Hey, I’ll catch up in a minute, ok?”
“Sure,” Kara replies.
Lena ducks inside, taking up a similar position against the doorframe to earlier. “What’s up, buttercup?”
“I’m just taking a minute.”
“Whilst pouting?”
Alex heaves out a sigh, leaning back into the wall and letting her head thump back into it. “I just thought I would be happier.”
Lena swings the door behind her until it’s almost shut and slides down the wall until she’s seated next to her. “Why aren’t you happy?”
“I don’t know. I expected to be all excited to actually move in and have a bed to myself. To have a proper space again and be back on my feet. Instead, I feel kind of…numb, I guess.”
“That’s ok, you know? Sometimes it’s the expectation that ruins a moment for us.”
Alex tilts her head towards Lena, her mouth twisting to one side as she thinks. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe it’s just because I’ve been too preoccupied thinking about what I could do, all the plans I had for getting everything set up and decorated, that I let my mind run wild, so when we got here and my back and legs started playing up, it kind of burst my bubble.”
Lena rests her hand on Alex’s shoulder, squeezing briefly. “It’s ok to be disappointed, you know?”
“I know. I guess I’m just angry that my disappointment is greater than my joy.”
“Then let’s get your joy levels up.”
“How?”
“We’re going to get the couch out of the van, then you’re going to sit your ass down, get the website up for whichever furniture place is closest and start picking stuff out. We’re going on a shopping spree on my dime. You can put your wallet away and let me help you spruce this place up.”
Alex looks at her, exasperation practically dripping out of every pore. “You know I’m not going to accept that, right?”
“Well, I’m already going to take Lori around the store and let her pick out what she wants. You might as well get in on the fun.”
Raising her eyebrow at Lena in challenge, Alex questions her. “Has Kara said you can spend money on Lori like that?”
“Of course not.”
“And If I was to offer a proposal of you getting Lori’s stuff and one item for me and Kara, would that stop you from trying to buy us more?”
Lena shrugs. “That depends on the item.”
“Dining table?”
“Done. I love having dinner with you guys but I have the cramp I get in my calf when I have to sit around that table.”
Lena stands up and offers her hand to Alex, who takes it and uses it to heave herself up off the floor. “Kara’s going to be pissed when she finds out.”
Brushing her off and throwing a cheeky grin over her shoulder, Lena calls out, “She’ll get over it.”
-
“Where have Lena and Lori gotten to?” Kara looks around, heaving her cart that has precariously balanced flatpack boxes stacked inside it that are too long and overhang the edges.
Alex shrugs casually. “How would I know?”
“Do you think we should pay for these things first, get them in the van and then come back in so we’re not lugging them around the entire store?” Kara questions.
“That’s a pretty good idea. We can do that and then find the others. I’m sure Winn, Sam and Ruby are meant to be helping us with this stuff too. Everyone got a cart so we could get everything but they’ve all disappeared.”
They go and pay for the one double bed they have stuffed into the cart and a pair of cheap nightstands. There’s still a lot more they could do with getting but this cart is full.
They get it loaded into the van, careful to stack it nicely so everything will fit when they come back with more, before they go back inside with their fingers crossed that they’ll be able to find the rest of the group. The group that they will never go furniture shopping with again.
“I think Lena might have taken her to find a bed and a set of drawers for her room so let’s head over that way.” Kara points in the direction of where she guesses they might be.
“Or we could just keep getting out stuff first. I’m sure they’re fine.” Alex tries to stall her.
Kara ignores her though, not even processing what she just said. “I have a feeling Lori will pick out the most expensive bed there is. We’ll have to deal with a pouty kid later on.”
“I don’t think so. I think she’ll be happy to sleep in her own room so she’ll forget all about it once we’ve got her set up.” Alex taps her arm as she spots something on the end of an aisle. “Hey, glow-in-the-dark stars you can stick onto a ceiling. Shall we get a pack for Lori? I think she’d like them, and it might ease her nerves if she gets anxious sleeping alone for the first time in a long time.”
Kara picks up a pack, checks how many are in there and determines that one pack is plenty. “That’s a really great idea, Alex. I hadn’t even thought about that. Now that you mention it though, I’m expecting her to wake me up, but I’m sure a little cuddle time will be enough to calm her down enough to get her back to sleep.”
Kara is both looking forward to sleeping alone in a real bed and dreading it. In reality, she thinks that she might be the one that is going to struggle with it. She’s not going to admit that to Alex though, she’ll call her a wimp and tell her to enjoy the privacy, which she will also be doing.
Tossing the stars into the cart, they get going again and luckily find Lena and Lori pretty easily. They’re hard to miss with the gigantic cart filled to the brim with stuff and a second cart behind them that Winn is pushing. One is filled with boxes of furniture, and the other holds a mattress and a bunch of smaller items.
“What in the world is going on?” Kara announces her presence with an exclamation of pure shock. “Lena, what’s happening right now?”
Lena looks back at her with her usual calm, suave attitude that isn’t currently doing much to calm Kara’s rapidly beating heart. She can’t afford all of that stuff. Half of it isn’t even necessary, it’s just random bits and bobs that Lori probably picked up on a whim.
“We’re getting stuff to decorate Lori’s room with, and before you panic, it’s on me. I’m determined to become her favourite person and I’m not above using money to take that role.” The joke falls flat with Kara, but everyone else chuckles at the quip.
“Lena, it’s too much.”
“Nope. It’s not and this is going to help some of my favourite people in the long run so I don’t regret it even a little bit.”
Kara shakes her head. “I can’t let you—”
“You’re not letting me do anything. I’m doing it and you’re going to either accept it and be mad at me or accept it and help us build this stuff when we get back to your place.”
“Have you always been this bossy?”
Lena smiles proudly knowing she’s won. “Yep.”
Kara doesn’t want to give in so easily, but Lori is perched on Lena’s hip with a massive grin while Lena smiles down at her like she’s the most adorable thing on the planet, which is kind of is. “Show me what you’ve got then.”
Lori wiggles to get down from where she’s being held so she can run over to Kara and drag her to the first cart. “Look, Mama. Lena’s getting me a princess bed!”
Kara looks down at the picture on the side of one of the boxes and her eyes just about bulge out of her head. “Are we sure this is going to fit in her room? This looks massive.”
Lena reassures her quickly. “Yes, I measured her room before we left. I actually measured all of the bedrooms because I figured you guys would forget.”
“We did,” Alex announces proudly, clapping Lena on the back as she passes her to peer into the cart Winn is leaning over while he yawns, not caring much for the shopping trip and wishing they would have let him wait in the van.
“I was going to get a normal bed, but given the fact that it’s a small room, I thought this would be better.”
Kara takes another look at the bed and has to admit that Lena has a point. It’s a raised bed with storage built beneath it on one side and empty space beneath it on the other side that is covered with a curtain that makes it look like a princess’ castle. It’s perfect for Lori and will solve their space issues. It completely negates their need for any other storage because there’s a wardrobe on one side with a couple of drawers. They can get a toy chest or something to go in the empty space and maybe a little set of shelves or something too. It’s perfect and very very expensive. It’s definitely out of her price range. “You’re sure?” Kara checks again.
“Certain,” Lena confirms. “I think we should get a little beanbag chair for beneath the bed so she can hang out in there.”
“That’s a good idea. I’m getting that though. Plus more storage for the thousands of toys you’ve got in that other cart.”
Lena shakes her head. “No, you’re really not. I’ve got Lori’s room covered.”
“Lena.”
“Kara.”
“Lori!”
Both women look down at the grinning little girl who just wants to be included and burst into a round of giggles. Lena swings her back up onto her hip and wriggles her fingers against her smile to draw a burst of laughter out of her. “Hey, Lori? You don’t mind if I spoil you a little, do you?”
Lori shakes her head quickly and Lena pins Kara with a look that screams, I win’.
“That’s not surprising.” Kara’s shoulders sink as she fully gives in to the fact that Lena is about to buy everything Lori could ever wish for just because she can.
They keep going, Lori occasionally pointing at things and Lena offering up others before the little girl even sees them. Half of this stuff will end up in the living room because there’s no way all of these toys will fit in her bedroom.
Once they leave the kids' section, Kara sighs in relief. Alex already had to go and get a third cart for the storage unit Lena insisted on getting, the beanbag chair, and a bunch of other random things.
“This is it, right?” Kara asks, sounding almost desperate. “No more?”
“Well…” Lena trails off, now feeling a little guilty at seeing that her buying all these things makes Kara feel a little uncomfortable. “I promised Alex a dining table, but I swear that I’ll stop after that.”
The desperate look is replaced by one of confusion, her eyebrows pulling together and her lips curling down. “Alex asked for a dining table?”
“Well, I offered. I love having dinner with you guys.”
“But?”
“But my legs hurt sitting on the floor. I need a proper chair. I don’t care if that makes me stuck up either.” Lena goes straight into defence mode, only stopping when she sees Kara trying to hold back her laughter. “It’s not funny.”
“it is a little bit.”
“No.”
Kara pinches her fingers together but leaves a tiny gap. “A little?”
Lena opens her mouth to argue but doesn’t bother. She copies Kara’s hand movement before turning and pushing the cart away. “Hey, where the hell are Sam and Ruby?”
Kara shrugs. “I think they ditched us to do their own thing a while back.”
“I shouldn’t be surprised at this point. I was hoping they would come join us with their carts.”
“I already bought some stuff. Alex and I took it out to the van and then came back in so we wouldn’t be lugging it about.”
Lena nods approvingly. “That’s a good plan. Let’s go do that, and then I can fill these carts back up.”
“You can what?”
“Stand by and not buy anything else.” Lena huffs. “Except maybe—”
“No.”
-
Kara runs a hand down her face, harsh and uncoordinated. If she thought going shopping with the group was stressful, then she was sadly very, very wrong. This is stressful. Putting together furniture when someone else is trying to put together something else next to her, messing up her screws with theirs, and getting mad when they can’t find the screwdriver they tucked into their pocket ten minutes ago is one of the worst experiences of her life.
She’s certain that Lena had the right idea when they got back. She immediately had everyone help her take Lori’s bed into their room and then promptly banished everyone out of there so she could work on it herself, the door only opening so she can occasionally toss out the boxes when they’re empty or to use the hallway as extra space when she has particularly large parts floating around that she doesn’t need yet.
“Kara, have you taken my—”
“Under your knee. Stop accusing me.” Kara cuts Winn off, trying to figure out if the sweat dripping down her temple is more annoying than being accused of theft for the sixth time in a two-hour window.
“Oh yeah, thanks.” Winn grabs it, no hint of an apology in sight.
Huffing a little, Kara pushes herself to her feet. Stretching out her back as she stands and limping away because of the rush of pins and needles to her foot, she heads for the kitchen so she can grab a drink. She needs a minute away from the group before she throws something at them, something she’s only preventing herself from doing at the minute by reminding herself that they can’t afford to have to repurchase anything if it breaks.
Letting her eyes lazily wander over the drink options, she freezes when she sees a six-pack of beer sitting front and centre. She has no idea who bought it or when it got put in there, obviously sometime today, but she can’t pinpoint when, but she needs to know who did it so she can make sure they don’t do it again.
There are three missing from the pack, so she decides to do a little snooping and stealthily eyes the room of people in search of the bottles. One is found easily, right next to Alex, and another is on the floor just a few feet away from Winn, but the other is nowhere to be seen. Dread sits heavy on her chest.
Grabbing two sodas, she aims right for the hall to find out for sure.
Kara has to climb over the mountain of cardboard to get to the door of Lori’s room, and when she gets there, she knocks firmly. She doesn’t want to just open the door in case there’s anything on the other side that she could potentially knock over, so instead, she takes caution in her stride and waits for a response like a civilized human being.
The door cracks open a second later and when Kara sees Lena’s face, she has her answer.
“Lena?”
“I’m so sorry.” Lena turns away from her, her hands covering her face as she stoops over, tears freely running down her cheeks. “I know I shouldn’t have done it, I couldn’t stop myself.”
“Lena.” Kara tries to get her to turn back around, but Lena is too busy sobbing into her hands and visibly despising herself.
Kara clicks the door shut behind her, careful not to close it too harshly so she doesn’t startle Lena. She looks ready to be pushed over the edge into a panic attack as it is, which won’t help anyone.
The bottle is half empty and has been propped on the windowsill. Kara stares at it for a moment, debating on whether or not she should go and take it out of here, but the chances are that doing so would make the situation worse, that it would make Lena believe that she’s judging her.
“Lena. It’s ok.”
“It absolutely is not.” Lena swings around to look into her eyes. Teary green meeting worried blue. “I shouldn’t h-have done that.” She loses her words to a sob.
“I should have made sure nobody brought alcohol here, I’m sorry.” Kara tries, moving forward to gently skirt her hands over Lena’s forearms.
Lena shakes her head with a ferocity Kara isn’t expecting. “It’s not your fault. If I were strong enough, this wouldn’t have happened. I should have been able to resist it. I should have—”
“You shouldn’t have had to do anything.”
“I didn’t know he was going to bring me beer, I swear.” Lena diverts the conversation, proving that her mind is whizzing at a hundred miles per hour, a million thoughts ricocheting through her mind as she tries to catch up with the situation and figure out what to do now.
Kara frowns. “Who? Winn?”
Lena nods. “Yeah, It’s not his fault though. When he asked if I wanted a drink, I didn’t know he meant alcohol or else I would have turned him down, but when he put the open bottle in my hand and left before I could say anything, well…I couldn’t resist. I was halfway through it before my brain kicked in and I realized I had just ruined weeks’ worth of work. I was doing so well and just ruined it for half a bottle of cheap beer that tastes like ass.”
“Lena. The fact that you stopped says a lot. Come on, you started this whole thing because you didn’t like relying on alcohol, having half a beer whilst hanging out with friends and building furniture isn’t relying on it.”
Lena sighs. “I understand why you would say that, but I don’t think I ever really told you the extent of my drinking.”
Lena moves to sit down, choosing the only properly clear space in the room, the area beneath the bed, which is pretty much fully constructed, just the doors to the built-in wardrobe left to be added along with the little steps up to the bed. Kara follows her, sitting beside her as their backs press against the wall.
“It was worse than I said originally. I was too embarrassed to tell you how bad it got. I was drinking a lot. As soon as I got home, I was drinking. If I ever had the odd day off, I was drinking. Hell, sometimes, I was drinking at work. I had a cart there and everything. Jess got rid of it for me, but I know that if she didn’t, I would have kept drinking.”
“So, you’ve come a long way. That’s a good thing.”
“Kara, if I can’t resist it when it’s offered, I won’t be able to be sober. I just spent weeks just about keeping myself together, and I gave up too easily. In your four-year-old’s bedroom no less. You should be mad.”
Kara shrugs. “Sure, I’m not particularly happy anyone is drinking in Lori’s room, but I don’t blame you, Lena. I’m not mad. Maybe a little tiny bit disappointed if you really want the honest truth, but this is a journey for you. A little setback isn’t going to stop you, and now you know how terrible it feels to fail, you can use that to keep you from doing so again.”
“It’s not that easy.” Lena angles her body away from Kara, ashamed and downtrodden.
“Addiction never is.” Kara scoots closer until their thighs touch. “I’m not about to condemn you, Lena. You should know that I will support you in whatever way I can. Yes, I have Lori to think about, but you’ve made it very clear that I don’t have to worry about you putting her in danger. If the time comes when I do become worried about that, that’s a conversation that will have to happen, but at this moment in time, I think you’re trying your best and just need a little more help to reach your goals.
“Stay tonight, and tomorrow we can look into what could help. Maybe therapy or AA meetings. This is your journey and we have to find a system that works for you, not one built out of shame or anger. Instead, we’ll build one out of compassion and support. That’s what’s going to help.”
Tears openly roll down Lena’s face. “Thank you.”
“Any time.”
“I just feel so dumb for doing that. I thought I was better than that.”
Kara reaches over and tangles their fingers together. “You are better than that. One action doesn’t define a person. What defines you is what you do now.”
“I’m not drinking again.”
“And I’ll be here supporting you. So will Alex and Sam and everyone out there. You just have to let them in. If you don’t want to tell them, that’s fine too. Either way, this apartment has a new blanket rule: no alcohol allowed.”
Lena sags against the wall, leaning over and resting her head against Kara’s shoulder. “That’s not fair to the others, especially Alex. She deserves to be able to drink in her own home if she wants to.”
“I’ll speak to her. She doesn’t drink often anyway, so I don’t think she’ll mind only drinking at Winn’s place instead.”
“I’m so glad I met you.” Lena nuzzles in closer.
“Believe me, the feeling is mutual.”
-
“Are you ready to see your room, Lori?” Kara asks cheerfully.
“Yes!” Lori jumps up excitedly and goes to run to her mom but Alex catches her, stopping her from doing so because there’s still a mess in the living room she doesn’t want her to trip over. Instead, she picks her up and sets her on her hip until they are in the hallway, which Kara and Lena have already cleaned up.
After their conversation, Kara sent Lena to clean herself up a little while she started tidying up before they finished the bed and the rest of Lori’s room together.
Kara didn’t know the true extent of all the things Lena bought for Lori until they were putting it all up and she’s been a cross between horrified and amused about the whole thing ever since. Logically, she knows that buying all of these things isn’t going to set Lena back any. She has more money than Kara can even fathom, but there’s still a level of guilt there. She isn’t with Lena for her money and she doesn’t want Lena to ever feel like she is. On the other hand, this is for Lori, who deserves the world. Kara can see how wonderful of an opportunity this is for Lori and can’t turn down Lena’s generosity when it helps Lori. Not that she thinks Lena would let her turn it down if she tried.
Lori grabs Lena’s hand as she passes her, which visibly eases the tension in her shoulders, and Kara is glad for the fact. She may have been able to help calm Lena a little and to reassure her that she’s not going anywhere, that she’s here for her, but there’s just something about the unconditional love a child can bring that Kara can see is healing Lena’s soul.
“Come on then, Ms Lori. I think you’ll like it. We’ve done our very best to make it a room fit for a princess such as yourself.” Lena pins a smile on her face, one that just barely reaches her eyes, but Kara doesn’t care. It’s progress and she’ll take it.
Kara grins as Lena opens the door annoyingly slowly to get Lori to pout a little before she opens it fully and allows her to see her new room. The space that is all hers, something she hasn’t had since before the accident, something she barely remembers, if at all.
“Do you like it?” Kara asks, already knowing what the answer will be.
Lori squeals. “I love it! Mama, I’ve got a castle bed!”
“Yes, you do, baby.” Kara strokes her hair, watching as Lori dives onto her bed, climbing the steps at a pace she didn’t know she could manage.
“Mama, Lena, look!” Lori bounces gently, peering down over the raised side that’s made to protect her in case she rolls in her sleep. “Look at the pretty stars!” She points up at the ceiling, the glow-in-the-dark stars already starting to shine as the daylight fades, marking how long they’ve been working on the apartment.
Lena moves closer to the edge of the bed, looking up at the stars. “Don’t tell your mama I said this, but those are my favourite, and she got you those.” She stage whispers, making Lori giggle.
“Me too, me too.” Lori laughs, holding her arms out for Lena to lift her off the bed so she can get to exploring the underneath part of the bed where the beanbag chair and toy storage is. Lena even managed to find a kid’s bookcase in a soft pink that matches the curtain perfectly for all of her books.
Kara wraps her arm around Lena’s waist, pulling her closer as Lori switches to completely ignoring them in favour of her new toys. She was unhappy when she was told earlier that she would have to wait until her room was done to play with them because they needed the space to build, so she’s making up for lost time. Kara does not doubt that she’ll have to pick Lori up off the floor, where she’ll pass out in a river of toys later.
Lowering her voice, Kara rests her head against Lena’s. “I know you think today has been a bust but look at her. Look how happy she is. You did that. I’m hoping I can make you as happy as she is one day. With how much crap we’ve faced since we’ve known each other, I think we’ve got a pretty solid foundation so far.”
“Me too, but just for the record, we might have only just started dating but so far, you’ve made me very happy.”
“You’ve made me happy too.”

2&3 for alex and kara please! :D
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
Alex: How fiercely protective she is. Listen, I know this is a point of contention in the fandom, but as an older sibling myself, who was blamed for everything my younger sibling did, I GET HER. And yet, there is no doubt that she loves Kara wholeheartedly. She loves her people completely, and she's extremely loyal to them. (And I get SO mad, because the writers used her so inconsistently that half of the shit she does doesn't make sense for her character, but I digress). But also, I love how quickly she folds when it comes to Kelly, like girl, stand up 😂 Kara: I love my goofy Kara. To have gone through all the trauma she did as a child (even when they ultimately gave her part of her planet and her parents back, she still went to the loss and trauma), and still have that joy and wonder. Her love for musicals, games and movies, and the will to still see the good in people. Please, I love her.
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
Alex: I guess when she wants to force Kara to date useless men, and Idek if I can really blame HER, when I know (and everyone can tell) it's basically behind the scene bullshit... And that's a very particular Alex problem, because if the writers wanted to push X narrative they would always use her. So yeah, hard to say otherwise. Kara: To quote Miss Luthor; the God complex. Baby, not everything has to be you. And that kinda bleeds into everything she does, because for a good chunk of the show, in her own eyes, she cannot do wrong, and she's always right (particularly s3 and 5). Her hypocrisy is astounding. And yet I still love her for it all, because that's exactly what makes her interesting.
Thanks so much for asking! 💜

Could write a body swap one shot for supercorp? Lena gets to touch the stars
Lena had always what it was like to have such power as the kryptonian. To have the stars at your very fingerips. It was usually a passing thought. Until it wasn't.
She woke up lighter than usual. And it took her a moment before she realized why. She was floating. Her body crashed to the mattress below with the air and ideas expelled from her lungs. She was floating. But... how? The mere idea seemed impossible. But of course, as the Luthor was quickly learning, not quite so.
A split second of a thought and feeling the force of movement before she recognized the face that was staring back at her. National citys hero, Supergirl. In other words, Kara Danvers was staring back at her, not Lena Luthor. It was a shock that spread through her spine, slow touches on her face to make sure this was true. That she wasn't dreaming. But now, she realized she was not dreaming, especially when the heat vision went off.
She was no longer, Lena Luthor, CEO of L-Corp. No, she was a god among people, kryptonian nonetheless.
It took several moments before it was fully digested, and Lena knew what she had to do. It took a hard second to get a grip on the strength (good gracious for the money she had to replace the doorknob and hinges and curtain) but once it had gotten a handle on, Lena found herself flying towards her very own penthouse apartment.
The flying was scary to start. To stand. But she found it almost like second nature. She was lighter in a sense. Like the earth didn't have a grasp of her. And the wind in her hair with the force of ut all. She understood why Kara liked flying so much.
It didn't take long before she was at her penthouse, where she found a very confused looking self almost seemingly waiting. It was odd to see her face making such an expression. It almost toppled the Luthor.
But the closer she approached the more she recognized Kara. In the way the Luthor carried herself. The glint in her eye. It was all, unlike seeming herself.
"Do any spells that caused this?" The voice was almost dry but it was the echo of her own, but it wasn't her. It was strange for the Luthor, to say the least.
Meanwhile, the physical appearance of supergirl seemed more nervous in an instance.
"I don't know. It wasn't me, Kara. I—" Lena lost her voice as she watched her body walk up to with her with a confidence she wasn't used to.
"It's okay, Lena. Let's just go with the day, okay?"
--
After an in depth conversation and some idea planning, Lena and Kara had most of the situation figured out. Keep up appearances like normal. Lucky for Kara (in tjis case, Lena), the threats of evil seemed to be the extent of their body swap. Leaving the aluthor in a strengthened body on a building. Staring at the sky. .
How could she not? Lena knew this wouldn't last long. How could it? The power of a god in the fingertips of a Luthor. So she flew into the sky. Flying until she found herslef landing amont the stars. Past the moon until people were no more.
And Lena was breathtaken. To see the universe as tiny as it was. No longer were the existence of humans visible. Lesving it just Lena and her heartbeat accompanied by the power of the gods...
The silence was defeaning. Almost peaceful until it felt eerie. Like there was nothing and everything beyond this void of existence. It was daunting. Lena wondered if Kara ever came up here to get away from the noise. To remind herself she was more than the title the earth gave her. She hoped Kara knew she deserved beyond the universe of earth. She would have to remind her more.
After several moments did Lena finally land, back from the stars. She was ready to figure out who caused such a swich, the breath in her lungs somehow renewed. It was amazing to see the stars up close and to hold such the ability to do so. To feel so finite in the expanse that was just time. It was interesting to see. And Lena was glad to have gotten to see it, as she got ready to get down to who had caused such an event

╚════════ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ════════╝
“Oh god, seriously Kara, again?” You found yourself sighing deeply into the phone as your blonde-haired girlfriend admitted the news that yet again, she had lost her powers, “How’d it happen this time then?”
Kara groaned and you were pretty confident that she was pouting too, “Stupid alien that I was fighting, it was resistant to everything!”
You shook your head, “And let me guess, you pushed yourself way too far?”
“Maybe…” She sighed a little this time and it was obvious she was beyond disappointed, “The whole point of flying out here was to get stronger and now I’m being sent home only 2 days in.”
“Wait, they’re sending you home?” Kara had originally been sent out with the DEO for what Alex had called ‘a week of intensive hell’, they’d planned to had Kara train somewhere in the remote outback of Australia to test her endurance in different climates despite her insistence that it really wouldn’t make a difference. But the sudden appearance of other worldly life had put the week to a sudden halt.
“They’re putting me on a plane later tonight,” Kara whined a little louder this time, “It’s so not fair, I hate flying inside metal boxes when I could literally just do it myself.”
You couldn't help but chuckle at her complaint about flying in a metal box. It was a typical Kara response, always longing for the freedom her powers provided. However, you couldn't deny that her situation was less than ideal.
"Well, at least you'll be back home soon," you replied sympathetically. "You push yourself way too hard, we both know it. So maybe some time off will do you good, just come home, we’ll grab some junk food and relax. Then maybe we’ll throw James down an elevator shaft again and get those powers of yours back.”
Your girlfriend gave a small chuckle, “Maybe,” There was another voice coming from the other side of the phone, “Baby, I need to go, they want to do some tests then I have to go pack my stuff up. They can’t spare anything private so I’m gonna have to take a commercial flight so It’ll be like 9 hours or so. I’ll be home around 10pm.”
You felt a pang of sympathy at the news of Kara's long journey home. Nine hours on a commercial flight sounded tiresome, especially for someone used to soaring through the skies effortlessly. But it was part of the reality she had to face, balancing her superhuman abilities with the mundane aspects of life.
"Alright, Kara," you replied, trying to sound supportive despite your own frustration. "I'll be waiting for you when you get home and don't worry, I'll have all your favourite snacks ready for you."
"I love you," she said softly, her voice filled with warmth and longing.
"I love you too," you replied, your voice matching hers in tenderness. "Stay safe, and remember, you're amazing with or without your powers."
With that said, you finished your phone call and began tidying your apartment up - after all you didn’t need your girlfriend coming back to a messy home. Truthfully as day grew into night you couldn’t help but get excited, tomorrow would mean Kara and that was all you could think about.
It was all you could think about the following day as well, you’d slept in a little, hoping to pass the hours somehow. The day was seemed to slowly creep day, each hour feeling longer than the last.
Dinner consisted of some frozen microwaved meal, a little bland but the hoard of snacks and drinks that you’d secured was sure to tide you over, all you needed now was SuperGirl herself. To be honest though, you were kinda surprised she hadn’t texted by now, Kara definitely wasn’t one to go radio silent.
But after what felt like a lifetime you finally heard the latch to your apartment door click open and the distinct sound of your girlfriend’s boots hit the wooden floor.
“Hi sweetheart!” You called out excitedly, rushing out of the kitchen into the entrance way, opening your arms to give your girlfriend a huge bear hug, “How was the flight, how come you didn’t text, I-“
Kara stopped you suddenly when you went to reach out for her, keeping you an arm's length away, “Don’t- hih!- come too close, I thinHh’iishoo! ..Heh-Hh’iitshiew!”
You blinked in surprise as Kara sneezed not once, but twice, in quick succession but before you could even begin to wonder what was wrong, your girlfriend answered your question.
“It happened again!” She whined hoarsely, sending herself into a small flurry of coughing but she didn’t stop you from coming closer this time and you gently ran your hand down her bag as she regained her breath.
“You’re sick?” You filled in the obvious gap, hand leaving her back and instead coming to meet her own instead. She felt hot. I mean, Kara ran hot usually but this was different. Her usually peachy and bright complexion was pasty and white, she definitely wasn’t feeling well.
She huffed a little, sniffling at her runny nose as you guided her to sit down on the couch, “The lady next to me in the lobby was sniffling the whole time and I thought I could just avoid her but guess who I was sat next to on the plane?” You already knew the answer before she continued, “Nobody else but miss contagious hhH- lady- Hi’tshiew!”
You made a sympathetic noise whilst reaching over to take a couple of tissues from the box sitting neatly on the coffee table, “Oh darling, I’m sorry. You’re non-super immune system really sucks, doesn’t it?”
Kara sniffled and nodded, blowing her nose into the tissue. "Tell me about it," she replied, her voice still hoarse. "I wish I had my Kryptonian immune system right now.”
"Well, lucky for you, I'm here to take care of you," You said with a smile before giving her a playful nudge, “Just try to keep those super-germs to yourself this time, alright? We don’t want a repeat of the Alex situation.”
The last time Kara had gotten sick she’d managed to not only break her arm but as a consequence of that, her tissue covering skills were severely impacted and unfortunately for her sister, Alex just so happened to be in her line of fire resulting in a very sick, very sulky agent a few days later.
Kara chuckled weakly, remembering the incident with her sister. "Yeah, I'll try my best to contain my super-germs this time," she replied, giving you a sheepish smile. "I really appreciate you taking care of me, though. You're the best."
You returned the gesture before pressing a small kiss to her warm cheek, “Don’t mention it. I have snacks, movies and blankets. We even have potstickers. I wasn’t originally planning for a sick-day evening but I’m sure we can improvise. Oh! You do know this means I’m gonna make you take the green goo right?”
The ‘green goo’ is what Kara had originally called NyQuil when she first saw it out of the bottle and the name stuck ever since. Oh, how you wished you could’ve captured the way her face dropped at the mere mention of medicine.
But before she could complain, her face shifted from an expression of disbelief to waiting anticipation as she scrunched up her nose preemptively.
“Bless-“ You cut in a second too early, causing her to lose the tickle and the blonde rubbed at her nose as she gave you an adorably pouty frown. For added measure you made sure to boop the tip of her red nose as you stood up from the couch before heading into the kitchen as you called out, “Stay put, I’ll return with your green goo that you’re definitely going to be taking.”
As stepped into the kitchen you heard Kara sneeze once, twice… trice? Before whining loudly afterwards as her raspy voice carried her displeasure, “Those were your fault!”
“I know.” You laughed back before hurrying to locate the medicine and another box of tissues, both of which were under the sink in the small white basket you’d dedicated to sick-day supplies. “Bless you, by the way.” You smiled, coming back to Kara to hand her the medicine and extra tissue box before disappearing and quickly reappearing with a glass of water and a can of Dr Pepper.
“Alrighty, water for you miss sickie.” You offered the drink of water when you sat back down beside her, to which she crossed her arms as she looked longingly at the cool can in your other hand and you easily knew what she was hinting at,  “No way missy, this is mine. Property of me.”
“I like Dr Pepper too y’know.” She murmured, trying to sound alluring but the facade was quickly broken when it sent her into a flutter of coughing.
“Really? Who would’ve known.” You smiled playfully as you teased her a little,
“If you take your medicine and drink the whole glass of water then maybe you can have one, okay?”
She seemed to mull over your deal before agreeing, wordlessly handing you back the NyQuil to pour out a dose for her, “You sure you couldn’t have done that yourself SuperGirl?”
“Well if I’m too sick to have Dr Pepper I wouldn’t want to strain myself opening a lid, would I?” Kara sighed dramatically, taking the green goo from you and giving you a mock glare. "You're too good to me," she added lovingly before downing the medicine with a sip of water.
"I know," you replied, smirking. "It's just one of the many perks of being your amazing girlfriend."
She rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "You're such a dork," she said, leaning back against the couch cushions. "But I love you."
“I love you too pumpkin, now try and relax a little.” You whispered back, kissing her forehead as you took the blanket draped along the back of the sofa and pulled it around yourselves, allowing your girlfriend to sink beside you whilst she cuddled into your side.
You didn’t really pay too much mind on what movie to put on, you knew she’d fall asleep soon anyway and your point was so perfectly proved because you were still browsing the seemingly endless rows of Netflix when small, congested but oddly cute snores began rising from the sniffling superhero at your side. You smiled, not bothering to pick a movie anymore.
Instead, you wrapped your arm around her shoulder and pulled her in close, sure you both might’ve been comfier more in bed but for now, you were content just to hold her like this.
Afterall, nothing in the world mattered more than when Kara was in your arms.

It has to be said that the feeling of choking on burning hot coffee was not something Nia recommended. In fact, she would recommend the opposite on any day of the week. But coughing and spluttering over the sight before her was the only reaction she could have. Afterall, what other reaction would one have to a pixelated image that showed That.
"Is that Lena Luthor?" A voice from her shoulder asked and Nia is scrambling. She hits four or five keys, at least one zoomed in by accident.
Another voice and she hit more keys, "And Supergirl?"
Shit, shit, shit shit.
The screen went blank and she's almost sure her keyboard is more mashed than Kara's when William Day peers into her office.
Nia spun to find at least three of her peers staring confused over her shoulder. "Nothing to see here," She all but shouted across Catco bullpen.
"Was that what I think it was?" William's voice crows through the shuffling crowd that she's desperately trying to usher away from her screen.
"Nope, no, absolutely not," Nia reacted. He responds with that quirked brow and disappointing smile and his hands on hips. Nia hates how uncomfortably attractive he his, reporters weren't supposed to be attractive like him. A thought sprung into her mind like a lightbulb. "Unless, well, it depends what you thought it was?"
Nia could be coy right? She 100% could.
"I mean that looked like the next Pulitzer prize winning article if you report on it right," William said. "Imagine the coverage you could get, Lena Luthor and Supergirl in love. Or a Luthor and a Super. Or Luthor turned good for love. Or the Luthor that really controls the Super"
Nia felt her stomach curl. He had seen it. Had seen exactly what Nia had saw.
"I mean, can we really say for sure? It could have been photoshopped," Nia desperately tried to backtrack.
"No ones that good at photoshop," William scoffed as he settled in the chair beside her.
God, she had to text Kara. Kara who was obviously busy keeping secrets from Nia because what the hell Kara?  Lena? Lena was enemy no1 not five minutes ago!
"So, who's the source?" William asked expectantly, puling Nia from her thoughts.
"Oh, probably just some kid with a phone, you know how it is," Nia dismissed. She knew exactly who it was. It was her good well trusted source for all things going on in the alien realms of National City.
"Well we should look into it, make sure it's reliable source so we can run the story," William nodded, more to himself than Nia, because Nia's jaw was still on the floor while he stood, patted her on the back and told her good job.
Nia was going to kill Kara and Lena if she had half a mind. She just had to call Kara, Kara who's voicemail greeted her immediately.
Hey, it's Kara, you know what to do!
"Answer you're phone Kara, we have a situation!" Nia hissed down the phone as she pinched her nose. She would have to call Brainy, he could hack into her computer and delete all traces or it. She could get Jon to mind wipe William and the others. Yes, that was an excellent plan. But first she had to check on Kara. What if Lena had managed to mind control Kara? Alex, Alex would know exactly what to do in that situation.
Grabbing her bag and a quick call to Alex, she sped across town to Kara's apartment, with three firm knocks on the door she waited, or rather paced. Alex strolled in rather nonchalance which didn't help. How were they going to over power Kara?
"Where's the back up?" Nia asked immediately.
"Nia, we don't even know if Kara is in trouble yet, when we know she's in trouble then we'll panic," Alex shrugged before knocking repeatedly.
"Just a sec," Kara's voice called from inside and Alex raised an eyebrow in a 'I told you so' look. Nia hated that look.
The door opened to Kara, in sweat pants, a hoodie, no glasses and her hair dishevelled like she'd been asleep.
"Oh thank god," Nia breathed.
"What're you guys doing here?" Kara asked, her brow tight as she pulled the door over.
"Nia thought you were in trouble," Alex responded with a shrug. Kara's blue eyes swept over Nia and suddenly doubt cast into her mind. Maybe it was a photoshop and Kara was going to get even more upset when she told her?
"I got a tip about you-"
"Kara, I have the cash for the pizza here."
Nia froze at the sound of that voice and Kara's eyes squeezing shut confirmed her suspicions. Nia knew that Irish lilt from anywhere.
"Is that?" Alex began, her hand on her holster.
"I knew it wasn't a fake," Nia breathed, god she had hoped it was a fake.
"Just don't freak," Kara hissed, more to Alex than Nia. Kara dropped the door to show Lena. Lena who was wrapped in Kara's cape, her hair just as dishevelled as Kara's and now turning scarlet. "I can explain."
Nia felt speechless and from her glance at Alex, Alex looked murderous.
"I don't think you need to explain anything," Alex huffed, with a shake of her head. "I'll talk to you later, just- yeah, I'll talk to you later."
With a quick squeeze of her sisters arm, Alex disappeared round the corned, leaving Nia's jaw working.
"I-" Kara's brow raised at her failure to form a sentence. "Brainy owes me fifty bucks," Nia huffed. "There's a situation at Catco, a picture to be specific. Of Lena Luthor and Supergirl.
Kara's scarlet blush paled.

You Saved Me From Myself ♥️ - Supergirl x Male Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Fluffy/Wholesome and Angst (Also a cheeky smut 💕)

*
Being someone who is practically and almost immortal with a gift of power comes with many advantages... But what it doesn't prepare you for... Is the heartbreaks.
Watching all of your loved ones die and pass away while you stand there like like you haven't aged at all.
This does as such for an Ancient Warrior named Elementor aka Y/N L/N... Well just Y/N now as it is.
Gifted a power from an Ancient God, a Gardener of sorts, resurrecting him from the dead with little memory of his last death or how he even died.
He's fought many battles, lived through Humanity's greatest wars and over the years, he's changed.
But... Like all times, heartbreak is destined to change someone completely, scarring them for life.
Y/N went through so many heartbreaks, scarring him, changing him into the person he is now, who has no time to muck around, and gets the job done without question or ease.
But deep inside? He hated himself, he hated his purpose, he doubted himself and pushed so many potential friends and many who liked him away, to save himself of that heartbreak.
He wasn't as chatty as he was centuries ago, he barely talked and when he would, everyone would shut up and just listen to what he had to say.
For a time... He was angry at himself, angry at whoever gave him this godlike power, angry at the curse that was brought upon him to watch his loved ones wither away while he couldn't.
He still is angry, angry at the curse brought on him, only to just protect Earth and the Universe for that matter, a purpose which was slowly turning him insane.
The world he lives in now? Is a world filled with Heroes, Heroes that are Human, Meta-Human and Aliens.
Many teams of heroes had these protectors, such as the Justice Society of America (JSA), the Justice League of America (JLA), the Outsiders, The Teen Titans and last but not least... The Doom Patrol.
He's met many of the heroes, the only one he respects the most is of course Batman, someone as serious as him, gets the job done without question and plans ahead accordingly.
But even everyone has their least favourites, and it's mostly a lot of the Heroes, the chattier but not too serious types, he would often butt-heads with many... But there was one particular Hero who he butted heads with more than he could count, one who he didn't really get along with on good terms who recently joined the newly re-formed Outsiders, led by Nightwing aka Dick Grayson and Artemis the Amazonian Warrior.
The cousin of Superman, the Maiden of Might, the Girl of Steel, Supergirl.
"At least show some respect!" The Kryptonian got annoyed with his attitude toward her, though it was for a reason.
"Respect isn't given, it's earned! You could've jeopardized the whole mission, you got cocky, reckless and you could've gotten a member of your squad killed!" Y/N scolded her, his voice was heard by everyone within the HQ.
"I was only trying to help as much as I could, isn't that what we're supposed to do?" she argued back, getting a little more angrier as everyone watched.
"By putting others in danger? Causing collateral damage let alone distracting others in the process? You got cocky, you tried showing off, you tried to impress others, let alone tried impressing me? You didn't impress me girl, you only disappointed me" he said with outmost disappointment once more, turning his back to end the conversation with him walking away.
"Ha, it's not like you tried protecting your own friends and people before right? Oh yeah I forgot, you don't have any!" Kara smirked with her insult, prompting the Ancient Warrior to stop in his tracks, his eyes widening as his blood began to boil.
"What. Did you just say?" his voice turned cold, his head moving to the side, giving her the side eye.
"You heard what I said" she crossed her arms as everyone within the room looked shocked, flabbergasted.
"Damn... That's just... Cold" Impulse aka Bart Allen broke the awkward silence between his fellow allies standing beside him, ready to witness what was about to be said next
"And what would your birth parents think!? ~" he violently turns round to face her as her smirk disappeared from her face - "What would they think of the woman you've become? A cocky, disobedient, snob who disobeys orders most of the time! ~" he shouted at her, Kara began clenching her fists as he dared talking to her about her parents - "You think you deserve to wear that glyph? When you wear that symbol, you don't bring hope, the only thing they'll see you as... is a disappointment... Someone who's not worthy to wear that!" he growled at her, Kara's facial expression went completely from all of that went from snarky to downright angry, she grinded her teeth, clutching her fists as they both stared each other down with hatred for one another.
"DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK OF THEM LIKE THAT!!" she suddenly lashes out at him, right hooking him across the jaw with super-human speed and power, the force of her punch echoed through the entire room, shaking everyone in their boots as Y/N was turned round due to the force of Kara's punch, his back now turned to her.
A moment later, he spat out blood along with a few teeth, this pumped something in Y/N, giving him adrenaline, no one has ever managed to make him lose a few teeth in years, let alone make him spit out blood.
Shocked gasps were heard, some whispers between one another, debating if they should stop this now or there won't be a HQ to reside in.
Y/N could only wipe at his mouth and then...
He laughed, he let out a laugh like none other - "No one has ever managed to make me spit out teeth and blood in years" he continued to laugh, no one has heard him laugh before which was... Pretty scary to others.
But to Kara? She showed no fear, her blood was still boiling, her face said it all.
His laugh then turned into a sinister growl after spitting out some more blood one more time, he turned round with the crazy eye - "you want a fight? ~" he summoned a scorching hammer in his hand - "THEN LET'S FIGHT!!" he shouted, making his way over to her as she began to also approach, before being stopped by the other Outsiders.
"Hey hey, chill out! There's no need to fight" Blue Beetle got in Y/N way along with Impulse, Metamorpho and Thunder while Wonder-Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark), Halo and Jade hold Supergirl back from fighting Elementor
"Let go of me!!" Y/N growled, attempting to push them all away.
"What's wrong? Knocked a few teeth out! I'll knock out the rest!!" Kara shouted across as her friends tried holding her back, almost getting overpowered by her.
"You two! KNOCK IT OFF! ~" Nightwing finally arrived at the commotion with Artemis, The Amazonian Warrior, trying to break up the commotion they heard from outside the debriefing room - "Y/N. calm down! And you too Kara! Knock it off, both of you!" he told the two off like telling off bad behaving toddlers, already having enough of their crap.
Y/N growled one last time before overpowering the heroes holding him back as Kara did the same, knocking them away as they both rushed each other, only for both Nightwing and Artemis to get in the way - "When I say knock it off, you knock it off! ~" his hands both reached out in front of Y/N and Kara, as they both stared each other down with hatred, Kara was so tempted to use her heat vision, super-breath, anything just to land another hit on him as he thought of using his elemental shield to throw it at her, but with both Nightwing and Artemis standing in the way, he knew he couldn't - "I don't know what's gotten into both of you to fight but it ends now!" he ordered.
"He started it!" Kara argued, staring down Y/N as he kept his eyes on her also, giving her a glare.
"I don't care who started what, you both need to calm down and stop fighting like a married couple" Nightwing folds his arms in disappointment, the Kryptonian and Warrior look at with shock and utter confusion.
"Wait what ~" Kara cocked an eyebrow before cackling - "Me, him? Married couple? Uh uh, nope, nope! Never happening, never!" The Kryptonian scoffed.
"That's not what I meant Supergirl ~" Nightwing retorts - "my point is that there's no need for violence, and Kara, you know well not to attack someone who's trying to school you from what you did, I was told what happened and Y/N is right on one thing, you were being reckless, and you also disobeyed orders" Nightwing turned his gaze to Kara, being held back by Artemis.
Kara shakes Artemis' grip off not long after, thinking why is he siding with such an asshole? - "Excuse me? I was helping people, isn't that what we're supposed to do? Plus, he's not even in the Outsiders so why is he here in the first place?!" Kara pointed towards him, who just stared angrily at her, letting out cold breaths in between.
"I made him team leader for the mission till I was back from Bludhaven, and he's here to help us for the time being, he's an ally, not an enemy" Nightwing scolded her as she pouted.
"Yeah right, at least he can show respect, a team leader doesn't scold their own, and plus, you think I'm just gonna let him make me think that I'm a disappointment to this? To my parents!! ~" she pouts, angrily tapping the House of El glyph - "I bet he does the same with others, If he even had a team to lead or friends for the matter"
Nightwing just sighs and looks at Y/N, still wielding his scorching weapon as it burned brightly as he stomped closer - "Stand down Y/N, calm down ~" he reached his hands out to him - "I'll deal with this, I'll talk with her about it but you don't need to start a fight with her either, she's one of my teammates and I won't let her get hurt, and that'll make me responsible for it" he tried calming down the flame inside the Warrior, keeping his eyes on the Kryptonian as she gave him a hateful glare.
"Nightwing... With all due respect... I'm going to say this once, and once only... Keep. Your own allies in line ~" he coldly spoke, towering over the crime fighter before getting into his face, leaning down a little - "Or I will" his words came out cold with a threatening aura, his hammer disappeared before walking out the room.
"Well... That was awkward ~" Impulse says out loud before being punched in the arm by Wonder-Girl - "Ow! What was that for?" he yelped.
The former sidekick of Batman sighs as Y/N disappeared out of view, turning back to Kara as she kept her eyes focused on the wall, using her x-ray vision to see where Elementor was heading.
"Kara ~" Dick snapped his fingers, snapping Kara out of her x-ray vision - "Debriefing room, now"
*
Y/N stood outside, sighing to himself as the calming winds hit his face, he looks out to the city ahead of him, closing his eyes as echoes of voices ring in his head, echoes from his past... Of his loved ones, family and friends.
All he could hear was "Don't push people back, let their kind soul help you"
He wished he could, but he couldn't, he didn't want to feel that pain of losing the people he'll care about, they'll become attached to him.
Batman was right about one thing, don't let anyone become too attached to you and... Y/N respected that... But deep down... He knew it felt wrong but he was doing it for a reason.
He sighed to himself once more, before he felt Nightwing's presence behind him - "What is it?" he asked brashly, not in a mood to have any company.
"Just coming to check on you big guy, I spoke with her -"
-And?" he moved his head to the left a little, giving him a side eye.
"And? Y/N, you were a little harsh on her don't you think? She's not long-"
-"That doesn't give her the right to disobey orders, DIRECT. Orders. The world isn't sunshine and rainbows Grayson, she needs to learn responsibility, she was cocky, reckless, put her own team at risk and I had to save them and herself!" Y/N snapped.
"She's trying, like the young generation are, I heard what happened with you and the younger generation of Heroes, you're not really liked by most of them, yes I understand that she was a little reckless during the mission but that doesn't give you the right to lay into my own, not with her, she's just new to the team so cut her some slack!" Nightwing raised his voice at him, Y/N turns round immediately turns round, staring him down with annoyance before the realisation hits him.
His facial expression turns somber as the former sidekick realises it, the Warrior sighs and turns his back to him, one foot up on the platform of the roof - "I know... I just..."
"I know you're trying to look out for them, trying to show them that the world isn't as colourful as they think ~" he stood beside him taking in the view also - "But Kara? She understands, she doesn't need to be schooled like that. She's gone through a lot for the past year, she's still new to Earth... Sorta, but she's lost her planet, twice, Krypton and New Krypton, she's lost her people, her parents, friends... She's still... grieving as it is, I know you were there when the Kryptonians issued an assault on Earth ~" Nightwing finished as the both looked at the city's lights, lighting up everywhere - "My point is... Just cut her some slack, I know she can be... Rebellious but let me deal with her if she does anything like that again, she's got great value to the team, the world and she's one of the Outsiders now, or at least part time but... I would probably keep your distance from her, I've told her the same also, and... I know what she said to you, I was told about it" he added.
Y/N looks at him before sighing with somber, thinking back to what Kara said that got them to fight in the first place - "She's right about that Grayson... I don't have any friends left... All my people are gone" he gave in to Kara's harsh words from earlier.
"C'mon don't say that, she was just saying that to get a reaction out of you, I mean... You scolded her a bit too much and she retaliated" he tried cheering him up.
"I wish you were right Dick Grayson, I wish you were" he refused to believe him, making him realise that Y/N was still grieving too.
For how he knows this? By reading his face.
"Look, I know you've lived for a very long time and still looking young as ever ~" he jabs at the curse a little, making Y/N grumble - "But I also know you're pushing people away, refusing to have anyone help you or... Become friends with you, I know that because you didn't want to be my friend, just acquaintances, I know that because... You don't want to go through that pain again, I can tell by the look in your face that I'm correct right?" he asked as Y/N looked at him.
He sighs once more, looking back at the city - "Yes... You're correct, it's not the fact I feel... That pain, but the fact that if I have someone close to me, wither away and die while I can defy death, over and over and over again, it's a curse Grayson, and it's..." he stopped speaking to grumble again.
"It's driven you insane?" he asked kindly.
"I guess you can put it like that" he agrees with him.
"I can't imagine what you're going through Elementor, but don't let it drag you down, just gotta push forward, all you need - is a little push and you're all set to sail" he patted his back which surprised Y/N, and for the first time... He smiled, without showing it of course.
"You're smiling, aren't you?" he smirked.
"Don't make this awkward Grayson" he warned him as a laugh escaped Nightwing's throat.
"Whatever you say big guy... Just remember to... Keep your distance from her, to prevent arguments and that but knowing her? She might not listen" Grayson sighed to himself, patting Y/N on the back before walking off.
"A push? A little push and you're all set to sail?" he repeated Grayson's words from earlier as he kept his gaze on the city, making him realise that maybe he wasn't wrong, maybe he was harsh on Kara, too harsh to say at least.
Sure she can be pretty immature, impulsive, bratty, rebellious and too quick to anger, but from what he has heard about her... She's done some good, despite many people not liking her mostly everywhere, especially Metropolis.
In a way... He felt pity for her, but she doesn't fully understand him, why he acts the way he is, mostly strict and commanding, the guy who always ruins parties and stuff, she didn't like him for it, nor has she ever.
That's where the dislike comes in, he doesn't like when she acts out of order, she's disobeying orders and getting cocky which almost got her and a few others severely hurt, killed almost, including civilians, she doesn't like when he's so strict and commanding, the one who isn't much fun at parties or anything fun, he just gets stuff done his way, in and out, quick and clean.
She even relates him to Batman in a way "He's like Batman but more... Nastier, grumpier and... Just a downright dickhead" she once told her friends.
Even some of Kara's friends dislike him for what he is, Ancient Warrior or not.
But they fail to see the pain behind the armour, the mask. The pain he's suffered throughout his time of living for that long, he's watched many of his allies, friends and family wither away and die, and that scarred him for life.
They can't imagine what it's like to live for thousands of years and die over, and over, and over again, coming back each time just to repeat the cycle again and again.
He felt... Lost, he didn't feel himself anymore... He doesn't feel...
Human anymore...
He only felt... Isolated... In a world he doesn't understand anymore.
As he looked toward the stars... He began to think...
"What happens next?"
*
A month had flown by, quite say that the Outsiders were getting along... A little.
Supergirl and Elementor always kept eyes on each other when one weren't looking at one another, Kara pulling off faces at him when he wouldn't look but she was caught doing it one time which made him roll his eyes.
"Maybe she is more immature than I thought" he mumbled to himself which she heard him, almost erupting into another pointless argument which would be broken up.
Though things were still heated between the two, she began to show a little... Pity for Y/N after she briefly heard him talk with Nightwing one night, talking about the situation they're currently dealing with before the next part caught her attention fully... Where Y/N would tell him about his life, and barely scratches the surface about his last friends the other night.
She knew he had no friends but... To hear him say "The only friends I ever had... Are gone, and they've been gone for a long time ~" made her realise that there is more to Y/N than she originally thought - "I'm just... Afraid of losing people close to me again"
Maybe the way he acts commanding and strict is because he doesn't want whatever fate happen to her and the others that happened to his friends? His allies?
She revealed this to her friend Cassandra Sandsmark/Wonder-Girl.
"I caught onto Nightwing's conversation with Y/N believe it or not" Kara said, sitting down lazily on her couch within her apartment, still in costume.
"Really? What'd you hear?" she replied with curiosity.
"They were just talking about... The situation and the plans but then... Nightwing asked him something about 'letting people in?' or something like that but... There was one thing that really caught my ear is that... Y/N replied with 'The only friends I had are gone, and they've been gone for a long time' which made me think there's more to him than I thought? Maybe I was right when I said he had no friends and I didn't even realise why it hit him the way it did a month ago" Kara answered, feeling pretty guilty about her harsh words to him last month.
"Oh really? Wow ~" Cassie didn't know what to say, this was the first time she's heard this piece of information - "I know he's lived for a long time but... Ouch, I can't imagine that" she felt bad for him too.
"He told Nightwing that he's still grieving about it, but it doesn't give him the excuse to... Loath into me and a few others, or treat us like toddlers when he looks like a a young person too ~" Kara complained - "And he hasn't even apologised to me yet about what he said about my parents, my birth parents, about... Thinking I'm not worthy of wearing this" she pouted sadly, sighing to herself as Cassie went to comfort her best friend.
"Maybe he's just working on it, after all, I think you should apologise to him for what you said to him last month" she told her as Kara looked at her friend.
"What's the point? He's not gonna listen, he's just gonna ignore me, like he usually does with others" she pouted.
"Maybe, but give it time, give him time to come round, it will happen, just like how you and I forgave each other" Cassie comforted her.
"But that was different, this however? This is something else, how can I make him forgive me?" she wondered.
"Like I said, with time Kara. Or you can just approach him and apologise there but... I don't think that's a good idea considering your in hot, boiling water with him right now" Cassie replied to Kara's thought, making sure she doesn't think too far ahead.
"Thanks Cass" she hugged her friend with a smile.
"Anytime Sis" she replied, smiling back with her.
*
The next few weeks were quite eventful for the Outsiders, especially for Kara.
It indeed was a busy few weeks for the Outsiders, with villains on the run, causing some commotion as usual and with the current situation, it was no surprise that one of them, being Lex Luthor, was looking for a source of ancient power, a power Y/N once sealed away that came from an ancient being
This is where he was fully involved in this, despite Kara not willing to enjoy it...
However... Things weren't as they seemed for both Kara and Y/N, even after stopping Lex and his quest for power.
(Kara/Supergirl's pov)
Had to stop by Metropolis to do what I do best, saving the day, kicking criminal butt and taking names!
There's one thing I really enjoy about being Supergirl? It's not just saving lives and kicking butt! It's the flying part that's my favourite. Being able to fly out of Earth and sunbathe is definitely an experience, a very relaxing experience.
But from what I've noticed? I've noticed that Elementor hasn't shown up to the Outsiders for the last week or two after the situation was dealt with about Lex and his quest for power.
Why does he even bother? I don't know? It's Lex Luthor, once he sees something, he wants to claim its power.
But... Last week... Y/N... He saved me from getting hurt badly, using his elemental shield or something to save me and... I never got to thank him for it.
"I've got you Supergirl, we'll fight him together" I remember him reaching out to me with his hand to pull me up, I still haven't forgotten that, it was pretty magical in a way too, him saving me in that way, I think that's the moment maybe I was wrong about him.
I still need to apologise to him... I should've done it as soon as I could but... I was too stubborn, doubtful he'd even take the time to listen to me.
But for some reason... He was... Very nice to me, he barely even talked but... What made me happy was that he praised me for my heroic deeds for saving the Earth while my cousin was immobilised.
It made me happy but... I should've apologised there and I regret not doing so... Though he hasn't apologised to me yet so... I guess we're not there just yet.
Nothing more than just flying around the city, enjoying the breeze and wind hitting my face as I continue patrolling Metropolis.
That was until I flew over near the Cemetery, where I caught a familiar face near it.
It's... Y/N? What's got him in Metropolis? And is he carrying... Flowers?
He was walking to the entrance of the Cemetery and this really got me curious, is he visiting someone's grave? Because it sure seems like it.
Doesn't matter, I need to see why he is here, it's been a hot minute since I last seen him.
I stayed a-float so he couldn't see or hear me, I didn't want to draw his attention, whatever has him in the Cemetery must be something very important to him.
As I flew a little closer, he stopped at a gravestone before kneeling down to it, using my microscopic vision, I could see it read; 'Here lies Elliot Richards 1865 -1901, loving husband, father, friend and sibling'
Wait... Was this? Is this one of Y/N's friends? from the 18th century?
"Hey old friend... It's been a while ~" he sighed to himself as put down the flowers, I stayed stationary not too far from him but a little closer than before - "I know I haven't been able to... Visit since well... Been busy... Keeping all of this safe" he sounded... Sorrowed, hurting, like he was in pain.
I blocked every noise that I could hear with my super-hearing to listen to what Y/N was saying, I flew a little closer than before - "I don't even know where to begin, the world has... Changed since the last time I ever visited you, and the others too" my heart wrenched at this, a sick turning of my stomach was enough to make me realise what was really happening.
He was grieving... Like I would... I'd talk to a picture or... Something that reminds me of my parents... And this was his way.
"The world isn't even the same as it was ages ago, there was no advanced technology, no skyscrapers in cities, not many extra-terrestrials... Nothing like that, there was only... Us... Guardian Warriors and Humans, they call me an Ancient Warrior now but... Humanity has changed, many things have changed, whole cities were built, more aliens and extra-terrestrials than before... And I thought in the next cycle, there would be more like me... I was wrong ~" he scoffed, I really wanted to swoop on down there but I know I can't, not right now - "If I could give you my one life, If could do the same for everyone I cared for... I would... But I can't, I have to live with the fact that no matter what happens... I don't think I'll ever have that one, final death... It's a curse! A lie! The fact I've died so many times only to come back has been driving me to insanity and I... *sigh* I don't even know anymore, I don't even know who I am at this point" he looked at his hands, self-loathing himself... Just like I did? Survivor's Guilt?? I'm not the only one who suffers from it???
I hear him sigh once more, after all this time? He's been suffering from the same thing I've went through? This realisation hit me pretty hard, those harsh words I said to him not long ago, the way his facial expression got when those words left my mouth, the fact he bad mouthed me over me not being worthy of wearing this glyph? How he made me think I disappointed Mom and Dad, Alura and Zor-El.
"I may have... Done some... Things I'm not proud of to people who didn't deserve it, especially to... One particular girl I scolded, around 18 years old, her name is Kara... Kara Zor-El, people call her Supergirl, she's also an alien called a Kryptonian much like her cousin, but... *sigh* she didn't deserve to be scolded by me, she's been through a lot as of it is and I... I said some... Horrible things to her, even though she did the same but not as bad as I did... I don't think I'll ever -"
He's talking about me? I have to agree that he wasn't wrong about me... I felt like I wasn't worthy, I still feel responsible for New Krypton's destruction that I just I wanted to give up being Supergirl, just to live as Linda Lang full time, not everyone likes Supergirl, but I knew what Kal would say, what Conner, John Irons and the rest would say, including my Earth Aunt, Lana Lang.
But overall... Y/N was right about one thing... I got reckless during that mission, I got cocky, I tried showing off, tried impressing him and all I did was screw up,
That's when I heard him... Chuckle? He chuckled softly? - "I know you're listening... Supergirl, you can come down now" he looked up to where I stayed a-float.
I don't know how he does it but... He sure does have a very good sense of surroundings, almost like a super-sense of some kind.
I flew down slowly, gracefully landing gently on the grass a few feet away from him as I slowly approach him, feeling remorse for him.
"Hey" he greeted me, I practically had to swallow the lump at the back of my throat to speak.
"Hi" I say with a lowered voice.
"So... You heard it all?" he asked me as I nodded my head, he sighed afterwards and looked back at the gravestone.
There was awkward silence between us, all could be heard was the flapping of my cape behind me, I stood closer to him, standing beside him, my left hand crossed to my right arm as we both looked at the gravestone together.
"How'd you meet him?" I asked him as he took a deep breath.
"I met him when he was getting himself into trouble at a saloon, saved him last minute before he his fate could be sealed by some Outlaws" he replied, chuckling near the end.
He was hurting, I can tell by his tone and his pain, I've felt and still feel it.
"He was... A kindred spirit, like many others before him, like... My brethren" he broke the minute long silence between us before I could, I just wanted to say sorry to him but... He had more to say as I questioned his... Brethren?
Did he mention his 'brethren?' Was there more like him? - "Brethren?" I asked him.
"Yes... Believe it or not but there was more like me years ago, we were called Guardian Warriors, a group of warriors that would defend the planet for centuries. We. Were. Legends... Until our history was scrapped from the history books, keeping our kind hidden from Humanity today ~" he looked at me, I can see the pain in his eyes, grieving, hurting - "I am the last of the Guardian Warriors"
I blankly stared at him as he revealed this, I had no idea he'd been living for this long, to hear that... It must've been... Hard for him.
"I know what you lost Kara, you lost your planet twice, Krypton, New Krypton... Lost friends, family even... And... I'm... I'm so sorry for what you lost ~" he trailed off, looking away as I began to remember my parents, my friends... Thara... - "I was there when the Kryptonians invaded, after many years of hiding after General Lane issued that I'd be hunted down, I went out of hiding to protect Earth once more... I killed those invading Kryptonians Kara, they began hurting innocents and I... I killed those who harmed the innocents, the amount of their blood on my hands, justified who I was... I became... A monster again... And I'm so sorry, I'm especially sorry for what I said about... What I said not long ago, when you... Knocked my teeth out" he... He actually apologised? I felt a little relieved about it but... Knowing he killed those invading Kryptonians attacking Earth... My adopted home, stung my heart a little knowing he did that but do I blame him? Should I get angry at him?? For killing those invading Kryptonians???
No... That was justified, he had no choice... And I don't blame him, knowing he's lived for this long, seeing his home... Our home, get attacked over New Krypton's destruction, calling to run Humanity to extinction.
"I still remember their faces, their last words before they were gone, when... New Krypton was destroyed, I wanted to give up being... This ~" I point to the family glyph on my chest, gaining his attention to look at me - "After Zod issued a full assault on Earth, I... I just wanted to give so badly that I blame m-myself for its destruction, I brought Reactron there to justice, only to find my mother torturing him before..." I stopped myself as I choked up, I still felt emotional talking about it, knowing my mother is gone, my father is gone, all of those people... Gone.
In an unexpected manner, he pulled me in to hug me, which took me by surprise, my face saying it all - "Don't blame yourself, that only adds to the pain of loss ~" he cooed, managing to keep me calm a little, I just wanted to cry, I really did, to just cry in his chest as he held me but... I couldn't, I let my tears fall down without sobbing - "Trust me... I know how it feels, it adds to the guilt, making you self-loath yourself further, Survivor's Guilt? We both share it" he talked me down, in a comforting matter, I felt... Safe when he held me I have to admit, it was...
A nice, warm feeling.
I sniffled as he pulled back, looking at me in the eyes with... A smile?
He was smiling... He's. Smiling!? I've never seen him smile before, he used to be this... Grumpy, I kill the mood for everyone person but... To see him smiling? It made me flutter a little.
I wipe away any remaining tears on my face still, to point out his... Unusual behaviour - "You're, you're smiling" I grew a little smile too as his disappeared, you just had to say something Kara, now he's gonna be annoyed with you.
"Perhaps I was" he agreed, admitting he did smile... Phew, thought he'd get mad at me
But I wanted to apologise to him, I need to, he deserves one from me.
"Oh, also... I wanted to apologise for... Saying... What I said to you when you and I had that... 'Fight'" I began to play with my cape in nervousness, afraid of what he's going to say next.
"No need to apologise, you're forgiven either way" he nodded his head, smiling once more, I swear his smile is making me blush now.
"Eh ~" I didn't know how to say my next words afterwards, my hands were behind my back, my cape flapped behind me also as I blushed a little, I wanted to bury the hatchet between us, Rao I love that saying, to perhaps... Become friends? - "So... Do you want to start fresh? To bury the hatchet between us and... Start from there? Re-introduce ourselves and... Maybe become friends??" I spoke a little low with awkwardness, grinning like a fool before he sighed, which killed the stupid grin I had.
"I've pushed so many people away in my lifetime after... Elliot passed ~" he looked at the gravestone of his friend before making his way back to me - "For years I've walked among the Earth alone, with no one by my side, no friends to call on, only minimal allies I met along the way, but I never saw them as a friend... But there is one person that's ever been close to be called a friend... Is Dick Richard Grayson, Nightwing ~" he continued, the fact Dick was very close to making Y/N call him friend, made me smile as it melted my heart, it really shows why he's so generous and he's like a big brother to me - "Though I've never admitted it... I do see him... As a friend... And maybe having another friend... Wouldn't hurt much" he gives me a sweet smile which made my heart flutter, I smiled like an idiot and chuckled happily, knowing he's willing to give it a go.
"Great! ~" I hugged him without warning him until I realised what I did, my face went red as I pulled back, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly as I giggled - "Sorry, *nervous chuckle* I uh.. Got carried away there ~" I couldn't look at him in the face as I felt totally embarrassed, but I pulled myself together by clearing my throat and staying calm to re-introduce myself once more to him - "Hi, my name is Kara Zor-El, like Superman or Kal-El or his secret identity; Clark Kent, I'm from Krypton, I go by Linda Lang as my secret identity since I was adopted by my Aunt: Lana Lang but... Everyone here knows me as Supergirl" I reached my hand out for him to shake as I waited for his response.
"Y/N... Y/N L/N, Elementor, Guardian Warrior, Earth, it's a pleasure to meet you, Supergirl" he shook my hand with a cheerful smile, calling me by my Superhero name as I smile brightly, standing in front of him with my superhero outfit on
"It's good to meet you too... Y/N"

(3rd person pov)
For the next few weeks, their fresh start started pretty well, he began opening himself up a bit more to Kara, who invited him over a few times.
He revealed he lived within an abandoned alien ship that crashed centuries ago, the outside area was outgrown, covered in green and flowers but the inside was pretty clean for an old abandoned ship.
The biggest twist was that when Kara saw it... She immediately realised it wasn't just any ordinary ship, it was a Kryptonian Shuttle, a modified scout ship that went missing centuries ago in Kryptonian History.
This discovery was big for Kara, she thought the Fortress of Solitude was the last Kryptonian structure on Earth and the Universe? She was wrong.
Her cousin was called up to this immediately after this discovery and the fact Y/N had been living in it for years says many things, even most of the tech inside the ship still worked but the engines were completely busted beyond repair which was upsetting but Kara didn't care, she was happy either way.
This grew Kara's bond with Y/N further, he began entrusting others into his circle, opening himself up more to others but to Kara? He trusted more the weeks would go by where nicknames were given.
His: Y/N/N.
Hers: Angel (There's a deeper meaning behind it, you haven't revealed it yet)
"I've never been more proud... To call you... A friend, Angel" he smiled sweetly, melting Kara's heart as she hugged him on the couch.
"What about best friend? Best Super Friend??" she asked him, pulling back from the hug.
"Let's not go there yet, I'm still trying to get used to... This" he replied, looking at his surroundings, it only has been a few weeks since then after all.
He looks back at her and smiles, though she put on a sad face, trying to win him over by calling her best friend.
He slightly chuckles at her facial expression, he couldn't lie, she looked pretty cute when she did that, putting on a puppy dog eyes expression.
"What's with the lost puppy expression?" he asked her as she fiddled with her hair.
"I just thought we could be... Best friends?" she looked at him with a naïve expression, he had to admit that she was naïve and adorable when she was, it was almost like he was falling in love with her in a way.
He shook that thought right out of his hand and snickered at her - "You want to be best friends?"
She smiled brightly while nodding her head.
"Okay... I'm only allowing it because you're an exception" he cooed, Kara erupted in exhilaration, filled with joy upon him allowing it, hugging him tightly, giggling uncontrollably.
He chuckled at her cute nature, accepting the big hug by wrapping his arms around her, his heart fluttered when he thought about her, like he had something else to say, a feeling from earlier on.
He wanted to say that she saved him from himself, saved him from hating himself.
He's never felt this happier before, though it was hard for him to admit it.
Their hug however was cut short as Kara heard sirens in the distance, and shouting... Curse Super-Hearing!!
"Ugh, great" she sighed and groaned.
"What?" he asked her, wondering why she groaned.
"Sirens, probably crime... Again ~" she got up and changed with super-speed, transforming into Supergirl as she placed her glasses down on the table in front of Y/N - "you coming?" she sweetly asked him with a hand on her hip.
He exhales and begins to get up, his armour re-forming all around him - "Let's make this quick" he sighed.
"Agreed" she acknowledged, picking him up and flying out the opened window towards the scene...
* A week had gone by and... It was a pretty stressful week...
Lex was back at it.... AGAIN, with his schemes and also had backup with him...
But on the other hand... A Darkness had risen back up, long thought dead after years of not showing back up, this Darkness was a figment of Y/N's past, better known... His sworn enemy, the one responsible for the death of the Guardian Warriors, labelling him the last Guardian Warrior on Earth.
Nightwing issued a debriefing for the two main issues, one issue was that Lex was now looking for another source of power while the other, was that the Justice League had encountered a mysterious entity and a team of heroes had not reported back since they first encountered it, once of those heroes included the Man of Steel, Kara's cousin.
Upon this new threat, Y/N suffered flashbacks to a very powerful god who feeds on Nightmares, Terrors, Pain and Fear.
This god was named Sevarec, a god Y/N once took down but who kept coming back to haunt many others, including himself.
"I am Pain. I am Fear itself. I am-"
"Sevarec" he hissed out loud, gaining all their attention.
"What? What was that Y/N?" Nightwing asked him as the man of elements shook his head, out of hearing Sevarec speaking and laughing.
"I know who the entity is, I heard his voice, his name is Sevarec, a God of Pain and Fear, he feeds on Nightmares, Terrors, he's someone I've faced many times and should not be taken lightly ~" he explained his rather word vomit - "I'll go after him, while you take the others to the other issue I'm sure you'll manage" he issued.
"I'll go with Y/N" a femme voice spoke out, belonging to Kara Zor-El, taking everyone by surprise, even him.
"No Kara, this will be too dangerous, even for -"
"Listen Y/N/N, I don't care what you have to say, my cousin's trapped in there and I'm going to find him whether you like it or not" she interrupted the man with the elements as she had her hands on her hips, striking a superhero pose, he thought it was cute when she performed a superhero pose to get her point across.
"Kara this is a very stu..." Nightwing was cut-off by Y/N, preventing him from scolding Kara into thinking she could go against some powerful God, let alone, someone that feasts on fears and nightmares along with pain... And she still has those nightmares and fears about New Krypton's destruction along with everything afterwards.
"If she wants to go with, she can go ~" he told him, which took him by surprise and her also - "Your love for your cousin, I can sense it's strong, like your heart and we'll find him and the others... Together" he told her, which seemed to uplift her a little.
"Are you sure about this?" Nightwing asked him.
"Yes... I am" he nodded his head before looking at Kara who had a smile on her face... And he smiled back at her.
*
Supergirl begins to groan as she wakes back up from unconsciousness, clutching at her head as she sat back up, her outfit slightly torn along with her cape, she looked down at herself and groaned, getting on one knee.
Fire was everywhere, the ground was ruined by the amount of debris.
Kara looked to her left and saw her cousin, unconscious, along with Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) trying to get up but struggling to even step on one foot.
She then heard noises, Wonder Woman came flying out of nowhere and landing a few feet in front of Kara, falling to unconsciousness.
She then then heard the clashing of weapons and a roar of sinister laughter.
"I will enjoy this moment while it lasts!! As I did with your people!" Sevarec roars out in satisfaction, his scythe clashing with Y/N's Glaive, two of them clashing back and fourth.
Supergirl gets back on her feet and immediately gets up, flying right toward where she heard Y/N and Sevarec fighting to the death... Only to run into...
Something unexpected.
"But as much as I enjoy our fights, it all must come to an end someday" he says with cold meaning, his scythe impaled right through Y/N, he was all battered up, his wounds weren't even healing like they should.
And it hit her...
"Y/N!!!" She screams for Y/N as his body falls limp on the blade and is thrown to the side, right as Kara caught him.
She set him down, as he clutched his wound with little effort, she tries cauterizing the wound with her heat vision but nothing seemed to work, his wound wouldn't close up.
"Why isn't it closing?!!" she panicked, she kept looking back at him and his wound - "Y/N please answer me! Please!! Don't..." tears began forming in her eyes as his breaths were shallow.
"K-K-Kara... It's... Magic... Can't heal ~" he struggles to say as he holds her hand - "I'm proud of you Kara... I see it, they're calling... For me" he smiles at the sky above, seeing a Light and hears many voices call out to him to join"
"Y/N, stay with me! Don't go! Not now! I need you!" Kara cried, tears falling down rapidly as his thumb wiped them away off her face, he smiled
"Thank you... Kara, for being *laboured breathing* for being... M-My best friend... Don't give up Angel... I... Love you" he said through a choked breath, gasping for air as his vision began to turn white. closing on Kara's angelic face
"What? You what? ~" she spoke through tears, looking at him in panicked confusion as Sevarec began to drew near, slowly making his way to her - "Y/N? Y/N?! No... Don't go! Please don't..." she begged as his eyes began to shut, his body goes limp.
She couldn't hear his heartbeat anymore, the hand he held went limp, touching the ground beneath them as Kara cried... She begged for him to come back.
First Krypton, and Kandor, Argo, her parents and friends, losing them twice, TWICE and now? This... Y/N's sudden death at the hands of Sevarec.
She whimpers and sobs, tears continued falling down from her eyes, holding his lifeless body close to her as Sevarec laughs with no remorse, which began to stir something within the Girl of Steel.
"That pain and... Fear within you? Oh it's so satisfying! Watching you painfully watch him wither away and die... And... Your pain? You blame yourself for a Planetoid's destruction, you doubt yourself, you fear that you bring pain and destruction to everyone around you, you think... You're a failure... Not worthy, you fear that you... Are alone... that... Pain? Let. Me. Devour it!" he snarls as he enables painful memories to swirl inside Kara, putting her through tons of pain.
Flashbacks run through her head, all of her bad moments first from Krypton to landing on Earth, through her struggles and coping with living on another planet... To finding Zor-El killed by Reactron and then... Watching the uprooted Krypton fall to chaos and destruction, killing thousands of Kryptonians, watching her own home fall twice... And now... This.
She groaned, cried, and hissed through the pain, putting down Y/N's lifeless body as she tried fighting back.
She got up on one foot, trying her best to move as Sevarec's torment was pulling her back down, slowly feeding on Kara's nightmares, pain and fears.
"You... took him from me ~" she managed to step on her other foot, standing up - "I was... Happy, and you... Took. Him... Away from me" she stepped forward, fighting the pain of torment"
She took another step, refusing to stay still, fighting the pain and turning it... Into harnessing anger.
"What? N-No, that's impossible ~" Sevarec realised that Supergirl was fighting his torment, beginning to inflict more pain and suffering on her which made the Maiden of Might stumble to one knee - "I won't let some Kryptonian girl overcome my power! My power is limitless!" he snarled, grasping his clawed hand to inflict more pain on the Kryptonian than before.
"Everything is possible! ~" Kara shouted, putting aside her grief, fear and pain by turning it into strength, allowing the memory of her parents, her friends, New Krypton and... Y/N, to fuel her resolve, pushing through the pain, breaking through it all, getting close enough to punch Sevarec with all her strength which sent him flying backwards, his torment over her broken - "You may not know me Sevarec, but Y/N told me everything about you! I am Kara Zor-El of Kandor, of New Krypton, Daughter of Alura and Zor-El, I am a Superhero of Earth... And I don't scare easily" she stood tall and resilient, ready to fight Sevarec as he growled at this.
"Then. You will die screaming for mercy" he growled, using his scythe to balance himself.
"No ~" Kara retorted - "You will" she snarled, her eyes lighting up red with heat vision and within a blur... She flew at him with inhuman speed, practically teleporting toward him before connecting a killer left hook, delivering a flurry of punches before going for an uppercut, sending him up into the air as she gave chase.
Back on the ground where Y/N's body was, his finger... Began to twitch as voices spoke to him.
"It's not your time yet son" a man's voice spoke to him as he puts his hand on his shoulder... His son's shoulder.
"But Dad, I'm here, I'm with you all, I've always wanted to be here to see you all again to stay with -"
"Son ~" a woman's voice spoke, belonging to his mother, she approached Y/N as he grasped his hands - "Your father is right, it's not your time to join us yet, not now" she cooed.
"Mum... I..." he stopped himself as he looked down, getting a little emotional, he hasn't spoken with his parents for what it felt centuries in his lifetime as he swallows the lump in his throat.
"Son, look at me ~" she placed her finger under his chin to make him look back up, a tear falling down his face as the woman smiles - "My boy, my sweet, handsome boy, we know how much you've missed us all, how long it's been... But don't fret, we will always be with you in here ~" she points to where his heart was, he sighs afterwards upon hearing this - "Son, there are people out there that need you, they need their Guardian... Their Warrior... Their Protector, don't just go back for us... Go back for them and... That girl... What was her name?" she cooed with a question for her son.
He slightly chuckled, smiling at the thought of his friend, a friend he hasn't had in so long - "Her name is Kara... Kara Zor-El but the people know her as Supergirl, and she goes by Linda Lang to blend in with society" he kept his smile, thinking about her as he would on a daily basis as feelings fluster inside him.
"Go back for Kara, you love her, don't let go of that ~" she told him, smiling before she along with her husband see the door to the real world begin to close - "The door's closing, you need to go back now"
Y/N looked back also, it was now or never, he knew his parents were right, it wasn't the right time for him to join them within the afterlife, not now when people need him, not when Kara needs him.
Before he would run back... He turned round and hugged both his parents - "Thank you, for raising me" he choked a little as son and mother and father hugged one another for the last time.
He pulled back and began running for the door, he stopped as he reached the door, to look back at his parents as they were joined up by the many people that Y/N saw as friends and family, he had a huge smile on his face upon seeing them all.
He then takes a long, deep breath, praying he gets back in time as he stepped through the door...
All it took was one... Deep... Breath.
*Gasping for air* he awoke, gasping for breath, immediately shooting up as he breathed heavily, his eyes wide open like he saw headlights coming at speed to hit him.
"I'm... I'm back?" he asked himself, looking at his surroundings, seeing what appeared to have been the aftermath of a battle around him.
There was a few cracks on the walls and craters on the ground, a hole leading to the outside area - he began to get up as he checked himself, the wound he suffered from Sevarec healed up, though his armour was still banged up pretty badly.
"Wait... Kara? Shit! Supergirl!!" he remembered she was left alone to fight Sevarec after he supposedly killed Y/N himself, he began to panic a little before hearing noises coming from outside, prompted to check what it was.
It was... Whimpering, sobbing, crying... Coming from Kara as she hugged her cousin tightly, the body of Sevarec was surrounded by Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Steel and Flash (Barry Allen).
Kara sobbed to her cousin, they all knew what had happened, upset by the death of Y/N caused her to snap and... Put an end to Sevarec.
Kal wasn't angry nor disappointed with her, he couldn't... His cousin was upset, very upset, distraught, up until...
A Heartbeat was heard.
A familiar, slow heartbeat, very calm and soothing to Kara's ears, a heartbeat she always listened too whenever he would draw near.
She broke the hug with her cousin as the heartbeat drew near, upon looking where it come from, the figure drew closer.
His armour was broken but the hole in his chest had healed up like nothing happened.
They all looked shocked, for sure he was dead, it was confirmed later on when Superman woke up from unconsciousness, before he and the others would find Kara destroying Sevarec in a harnessing, unrelenting rage.
Kara's eyes brimmed with more tears as his face appeared from beyond the fiery smoke.
"Y/N!!! ~" she shouted with jubilation, crying tears of joy as she rushed toward him with super-speed into the arms of her friend, digging her face into his chest - "You idiot, you stupid idiot! I thought you died!! I thought I... Lost you!" she cried, sobbing into his chest.
He didn't know what to say at this, she was crying but was it happiness or sadness? He couldn't tell.
"It's alright, I'm here now" he wrapped his arms around her, feeling the softness of her singed cape as he looked on at the shocked faces of the League and the dead body of Sevarec.
"Is he?" he asked.
"I-I lost controlIcouldn'tstopmyselfandI-"
"Hey hey hey, calm down Angel ~" he broke the hug to look at her as more tears streamed down her face - "It's alright, I say good riddance, though he might come back, we'll be prepared for him next time" he cooed, de-stressing Kara a little as she began wiping her tears away which blurred her vision.
"Wait, did you just say this thing can come back from the dead like you can?" Flash asked from afar, looking back at the dead creature.
"Yes, he's been doing it for years, it takes him years to come back, so in 20-30 years at most, but he can still torment people, even if he's dead... He needs to have his remains locked away safely out of harms reach" Y/N replied as Barry looked back and fourth at him and the creature.
"I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight, don't want Oneirophobia" he mumbled to himself.
"You do realise what Oneirophobia is right Barry? It's the fear of dreams, not sleeping is literally that!" Hal told him.
"Eh fair point" Barry shrugged...
*
A few hours has gone by after the entire Sevarec threat had been neutralised, his remains would be locked away, safely within the Fortress of Solitude, Y/N agreeing with Kal on taking the remains there for safe keeping.
Overall... Y/N's supposed death almost left a toll on Kara, she was... A little shaken up about it but afterwards... She was all cheery again, put on a spare backup outfit she had just in case if her other one was ripped and torn like it was near the end of her fight with Sevarec.
His death and revival reached the Outsiders and they were somewhat relieved that Y/N would walk out with Kara, especially with finding the lost team that first encountered Sevarec, though problems still arose with Lex and his schemes, along with some other issues too.
What surprised most was that... Kara defeated a literal God, it surprised her too but she was the one who lost control, not holding back in any form, the supposed death of Y/N fuelling her anger for Sevarec.
Currently... She was on patrol, recently saved a few construction workers who were repairing a damaged structure that was destroyed during the Kryptonian Invasion of Earth months back
Soaring around Metropolis once more to enjoy the summer breeze, the sun was beginning to settle down for the night to kick in.
She was smiling with closed eyes, thinking back to good memories, letting the wind hit her face as her cape gently flapped behind her.
That was until... She heard him, his voice.
"Hey Streaks! Didn't mean to scare you pal but have you seen Kara?"
The Kryptonian smiled at this as she immediately began flying back, doing a barrel roll in the air as she giggled to herself, singing a tune to herself. her cousin's theme tune.
"🎵 da da da da da, da da da, da da da da da, da da da!! 🎵" she sung to herself, mouth opening widely to strike a radiant smile as she continued singing to herself.
She for sure was enjoying herself on the flight back to her apartment, giggling away as she did more tricks, her arms extending out to each side almost like she had wings.

(A/N: Definitely one of my favourite comic drawings of Kara I've ever witnessed upon reading this comic, it's from Supergirl Issue 50... She honestly looks like one of em Disney Princesses in a way too... Fun fact: did you know that Helen Slater herself took part to write this comic too? Also, credit goes to rosewilsonworth for this edited image)
Her smile was bright as a star, enjoying the wind hitting her face as the apartment drew nearer the more she got close.
"Eh, she's obviously out on patrol and..." he stopped his words as Kara swooped on in through her window, landing gracefully as she stroke a superhero pose as she shook her hair back behind her.
"I heard someone wanted to see me?!" she grinned.
Y/N smiled as he approached her, taking in her presence - "Yeah, just wanted to pop in to say hi and if you're alright with me staying here for a bit, just to y'know? Take you up on that offer" he referred to Kara's offer from last week, dinner at her place for a change.
"Oh yeah, the offer still stands but... How did you get in here?" she asked him with an eyebrow
"...I climbed... ~" he blankly stared at her as she put on a confused smile - "Okay... I didn't, I teleported in here with a experimental device I've been trying out and it works! Though I may have scared Streaky on accident doing so" he rubbed the back of his neck as Kara called for Streaky.
"Come here Streaks! Come to mama! ~" she knelt down as the orange tabby cat came meowing toward her, happy to see his owner back - "Hi Streaks! Hi! How's my baby boy?" Kara asked after picking him up, booping him on the nose gently before planting a kiss on his head as he began purring.
"What is it with you and cats?" he rolled his eyes with a smile, referring to the many pictures of her and cats, especially with Lions and their cubs.
"Cats are adorable! Even big cats! Dogs are too like Krypto but Streaks here? He's my baby boy" she melted, hugging him gently as he continued to purr happily.
"I agree... I guess" he kept his smile as Kara put Streaky back down on the ground
"So... Are you cooking dinner or am I cooking?" Kara asked him, hands on her hips again.
"Yeah, I'll cook this time... I've got something special to cook up, and I want to share it with you"
"Aww, how touching ~" Kara giggles before hugging him - "Is that what the bags are for? Those the ingredients?" she then asked him, quickly scanning through the bags with her x-ray vision.
"Yeah, quickly went down to grab the things I need, got some extra's just in case" he looked back at the bags.
"With what money?" she asked, looking at him.
"Uh... Bruce Wayne? He gave me some cash after I sold an artefact to him, I didn't need it so... I sold it to him, I told you this remember?" he revealed the answer to her question.
"Oh right, sorry, It's been a hot minute" Kara looked away awkwardly.
"No worries Angel, but I should get to making dinner"
* The night went on by while Y/N made dinner for both himself and Kara, a pasta dish, pesto sauce, ham, beef with a little kick to it, a dish once made by his mother a very long time ago and surprisingly... He remembers the ingredients and the steps all to well thanks to an un-rather memory he regained.
Ever since you came from the Afterlife, you've been having memories flood through you, memories of your parents, friends, everyone you knew and met throughout the years you walked among the Earth, travelling to different country.
Kara talked about her patrol, keeping the city safe, snapping you back to reality from a daydream of memories, and all the while she was still in costume, not bothering to change out of it at the moment.
She revealed few subtle details about her upcoming promotion of her other job, not her job as a superhero, the one she previously landed with Lana Lang's assistance along with Kal's and Lois' help.
He was proud of her then she asked him if he'd ever get an Earth job...
"So... Do you think of getting an Earth job?" Kara asked while playing with her hair.
"My Earth job... Is protecting Earth, it's my purpose after all" he replied.
"No like... A secret identity type of job" Kara re-worded what she said.
"It is... My job" he cocked an eyebrow.
"You really stink at this, y'know that?" Kara chuckled.
"I know I do" he smiled at her before the water within the pot began to sizzle, disrupting anything else he had to say.
When the time came to dish out the food, it really had a good smell which got Kara's attention away from her little story she was telling him.
She... scoffed the whole lot on her plate. Her plate was completely empty, no ham, no beef, and no pesto pasta left.
"That... That was amazing, really good, best pasta dish I've ever had" Kara praised and boasted, licking her lips afterwards.
"Yeah, happy you enjoyed it... Haven't had it since mother made it" he picked up his and Kara's plate, taking it over to the sink.
"Wait... That was your mom's dish?" she asked curiously, but surprised also.
"Yeah... Ever since I 'allegedly' died and got out of the Afterlife, when I could interact with my parents again, when I came back to life, I began to experience... Memories of my past, of all my friends and family, happy memories, and one of them was... This" he began cleaning the plates with the hot boiling soapy water, letting the heat hit his hands as he sighed with satisfaction.
"Oh, like the good memories you've spent with loved ones? Yeah... I have them too, I always try to remember them when they last" she trailed off, fiddling with her cape.
"We can't always cling to the past, but we should always cherish the good memories from our past also, only leaving them alone as the bad ones remind us that we have come a long way... As they fade away" he monologued, moving onto the next plate to clean.
The question Kara wanted to ask was beginning to bother her again, thinking back to what Y/N said to her when Sevarec firstly killed him - "I... Love you" she wondered if he meant it and was surprised he hasn't even brought it up yet.
"Uhm... Y/N"
"Yes Angel?" he answered sweetly, making Kara blush a little but she pulled herself together.
"Back when I... Held you after Sevarec impaled you. You said something to me before you... Died" Kara began to twiddle with her fingers, feeling nervous about asking the question.
"Hmm?" he hummed, finishing cleaning the plate as he went to clean the forks next.
"You... said something that's been stuck with me since then... You said... 'I love you' ~" Kara looked at him as he stopped cleaning upon hearing what she said, he looked at her wide eyed as she chuckled softly - "All I want to know is... If you... Really meant what you said?" she finally asked the question, THE question that's been bothering her for the last few hours.
He looked at her, still wide eyed as he tried to think of something to say... Before he sighed, his facial expression falling - "Kara... The last time I ever loved someone was... A very long time ago ~" he looked away from her as she got off the chair, to go all the way round to face him, her facial expression showed concern, written all over, eyebrows knitted - "there were many times where I could've fell in love again... But I pushed all of that away after... Losing the one person I fought along side, she was one of us, like me... Sevarec killed her and it... Changed me, I could never find that one person again... Until... You knocked some of my teeth out" he began to smile as Kara's mouth carved into a huge smile, giggling at the memory.
"You have to admit that I have a hell of a killer right hook" she said with sparkle and enthusiasm, her smile shining brightly as he looked away with a chuckle, not being able to keep a straight face at her piercing smile that stroke his eyes.
"Yeah, you do... Every time you smile it... It distracts me since I can't think straight every time I see you smile like that and... Since then when you knocked my teeth out with that 'killer right hook', I think I... I began to find you... irresistible, naïve and sympathetic, i-in a good way of course" he kept his smile as he looked back at her as she kept that curvy smile on her smile, flustered by his words... She began to move.
Closer...
"Go on" she said with a coy smile next.
"And the fact that... Since I saved you that one time properly and... Congratulated you for saving the Earth... That day when you and I finally apologised to each other, knowing that we both share similar pain... The fact you... Wanted to be my friend, though I was tempted to push it away but... You brought something I never felt in a long time" he began to chuckle nervously, he's never chuckled nervously in a long time which fuelled Kara's thoughts.
"And that is?" she smirked, now closer to him than before, their bodies were close as their eyes locked on to one another.
"A heart... You brought a heart to me and I... I couldn't let it go ~" he smiled brightly as her eyes sparkled at this, unable to keep her eyes off of him - "I never said this to you before and I should have but... You saved me from myself, Angel... And I can't thank you enough for that, you changed me for the better ~" he also couldn't keep his eyes off of her, he was falling deep for her, the way she smiled, her eyes on his, her angelic face, her laugh, it always made him feel... Himself around her.
"I saved you from yourself?" she asked with a growing smirk as her forehead puckered, trying her best not to levitate off the ground and kiss him right now.
"Yes... You did... And... I hated myself, I really did, but you... You changed that and I call you *a blush appears across your face* my Angel for that... Practically that's why I call you by nickname, Angel.. But to answer your question ~" he made sure to look at her in her eyes - "As I look into your beautiful comets that make your eyes shine bright... I. Meant what I said... Kara Zor-El, I. Love you, and I have since we started fresh" he smiled ear to ear as Kara's eyes sparkled once more, her eyes falling to his lips as she let her intrusive thoughts win.
"Well, if that's the case" she giggled, levitating off the ground a little as she drew her face closer, placing her hands on his chest to support herself before... Her soft, tender lips touched his, connecting gently and pressing against him.
He placed his hands around her hips as he melted into the kiss, closing his eyes with hers, feeling the softness of her precious lips on his.
"Y/N, I love you too" she said back, breaking the kiss as she giggled afterwards.
"Can I stay with you tonight? To wake up beside you?" he asked her sweetly, his smile growing on his face as she kept her gaze on him lovingly.
"Yes, I'd love that" she pulled herself back in to continue kissing as she landed on her two feet gently, kicking a leg up before things began to...
Heat up...
(Smut time! 💕)
Their lips began to dance with each other slowly but as time progressed, Kara began moaning into the kiss, deepening the kiss further, their lips dancing as they begin to make out.
She backs him up to the wall not far behind him, breaking the kiss as they both looked at each other with lust.
This was the first time Kara ever tried getting emissive, let alone make out with someone.
And she felt she was pretty damn good at it, feeling all flustered and lustful, feeling in the 'mood' of lust, a feeling of sensation.
They both smile seductively, as they continue to make out, using their tongues next as they dance in each other's mouths, her soft moans as his hands reach down behind her back, beyond her cape as it moved around with her motions.
She had him pinned to the wall, floating up a little to his level as their tongues and mouths danced together fluently, in sync.
Her hands reach for his shirt, unbuttoning it slowly, making sure she doesn't accidently rip his shirt as she pulled back, her lustful smile growing bigger as his chest was beginning to show, his soft and hardened body striking her eyes as she blushes red at the sight.
Her lavish smile grew into a deepened smirk, licking her lips before biting her tongue at the sight before going in to kiss his bare chest, pecking it little by little, slowly turning him on along with herself.
She's been waiting for this moment a long time now, her feelings for him showed out, her lustful desires becoming reality as she continued to kiss his athletic chest as he watched on with a smile.
"I've been waiting a long time for that ~" she smirked, speaking with a lowered but seductive tone - "Y/N/N, this is my first time doing anything like this... I want this, I 'need' this ~" she said, exaggerating the 'need' with enthusiastic lust - "I want you to be my first and only... Allow me to show you how much... I love you" her smirk deepened further, biting her lip hard as she pulled herself in for another seductive kiss.
Her hands began to reach for her crop top with the cape attached, ready to take it off but she felt his hands stop her, as they opened their eyes to look at each other - "No, keep it on, Angel" he smiled ear to ear, not breaking eye contact as she kept her smirk going, immediately going back in to continue their make out session.
It was at this point where you were now in control, taking her over to the dining table and planting her on top of it, her cape draping across it behind her as you both continued kissing.
She began to get more hornier by the minute, her hands slipping into his pants as his hands reached for her breasts, fondling the House of El glyph on her crop top.
She began rubbing the bump in his area, stroking the hard on he was beginning to get as her moans filled his ears, squeezing her soft breasts through her top.
Her two hands began pulling down to his pants, revealing his boxers as she then pulled them down also, revealing his hardened member, her hand began stroking it after looking down at it, him continuing to play with her boobs, fondling them even further as he kicked off his trousers.
Her moans soon turned into lavish, demanding more from him as she continued stroking his member, making him groan with satisfaction as she then vibrated her hand fast enough to stroke it with more speed, bringing him to orgasm no long after.
Your juices hit her skirt, landing all over it as she giggled, allowing you to shoot the rest of your juices all over her lower half, most of it hitting her skirt.
"Well, won't need this on anymore ~" she took off her skirt and panties, revealing her cherry for him to witness, his eyes bulging out at the sight as his blush deepened, stirring him even further, she caught this and instantly giggled with a brightened smirk of lust as she drew closer to his face - "Let's take this to the bedroom" she suggested, smirking and giggling cutely as she got off the table, taking his hand to lead him to the bedroom.
Her ass swayed side to side as she walked, her cape got in the way a few times but she took notice and held it out, allowing him to "enjoy the view".
Reaching the bedroom was where things kicked off further, they began making out once more, Kara was on the bottom as he laid on top, allowing him to take the wheel for now.
She really wanted to feel him inside her so bad, but first things first, he wanted her to feel good.
Upon looking at her cherry pop, you smirked as you began to draw closer to it, wanting to pop her cherry, after all... Supergirl was a virgin, you wanted to make her think she's all yours and make her feel good.
"Go ahead, make me feel good" she spoke slow and submissive, licking her lips as she would bite her tongue afterwards.
Before long... she moaned as his tongue licked the entrance of her cherry, teasing her as his tongue licked her labia more frequently as time went by, making her excited and warming her up with his technique.
He's had sex before, many times with his former love years and years ago, but now? At this very moment? He was enjoying it again.
His tongue entered through her cherry, beginning to eat her out as she moaned for him to continue, fondling her breasts as she felt his tongue inside her, moaning with passion, using his finger to tease and rub her lips as his tongue danced inside her vaginal walls, working his way to make her orgasm.
"Yes! Oh Rao, that feels so... Fucking, good!" she moaned out loud, lifting up her crop top to reveal her tits and nipples, hardening as she continued to play with them.
She watched as he continued working on her vagina, moving his tongue in and out of her all the while he rubbed his fingers on her clitoris.
"Keep going! Keep going! It's coming! I'm gonna cum soon!!" she felt her vaginal walls closing up, her orgasm coming closer as he continued eating her out.
HIs fingers began to rub on her faster, making her moan out in pleasure loudly, she tried biting her lip to stop her moans but even that wouldn't stop her from moaning as loud as she was, her eyes rolled back in pleasure, her hands clawing the bed
"Ohhh fuck!!" she moaned loudly, squeezing her breasts as she let loose, letting her juices fly at him.
A moment passes as things calm down, her slight whimpers as he cleans her up with his tongue, licking the juices that were still leaking out of her.
"Wow, pretty powerful orgasm you had there" he complimented her, making her giggle with a satisfied smile, but clearly...
She was hungry for his dick inside her.
She wants her virginity took away by him and only him, she practically begged him to stick his member inside her, seducing him to do it with a deepened kiss, stroking his cock to entice him.
He teased her, which was driving her crazy, craving for it more than she was before, her lustful eyes staring into his, a sparkle of light brimming in them.
She positioned herself, spreading her legs as she pulled down her crop top again, showing off the House of El glyph to him to remind him who he's fucking.
He had to double check if she had protection anywhere but she had it covered already.
She smirks as he positions himself, aiming his tip right for her entrance as she begins rubbing her clitoris, he thought of teasing her as she caught wind of this - "C'mon, I know what you're thinking, slip it in already!" she groaned, eyebrows frowned, wanting his member inside her as he smirked at her facial expression.
"You read me like a book huh? ~" he teased - "But hey... You wanted this" he got closer to her face, looking right into her eyes, their lips not far from each other as he thrusted his hips into her, his tip entering her cherry as the walls constructed around it, causing her to let out a huge, softened moan, breathing onto his face.
She re-opened her eyes after she briefly closed them due to the pleasure of him entering her, her eyes widening as he went deeper the first thrust before going slowly, this was her first time and he didn't want to rush things but he hissed, groaned...
"Oh damn... Your tight already" he hissed, she began to show concern as his face scrunched up.
"Are you alright? We can -"
"Shhh ~" you placed your finger on her mouth - "It's a good thing, your vagina's not crushing my cock so. we're. Good" you reassured her, which seemed to calm her worried thoughts down, you were groaning in pleasure.
It's been so long since you felt like this, that you ever slipped inside someone.
He never thought he'd be fucking a Super, let alone Kara Zor-El, Supergirl, you admitted you loved her geeky, nerdy side when it came to her identity Linda Lang but... It was Supergirl you fell for, the heroic, hot headed, cute Superhero.
"Oh fuck! Fuuuuck" Kara clawed the bed sheets around her, as he kept thrusting in and out of her.
Her continuous moans, filling his ears as they both embraced in a deep kiss, using their tongues to dance in each other's mouths, his hands once again reached for her breasts, fondling the glyph once more, massaging her breasts through her crop top as she moaned during the deep kiss, laughing softly as he began to pick up a little speed.
"Oh. Fuck. YES!!" Kara breathes out heavily, her moans getting louder as his cock popped her cherry, going even deeper as it slipped in and out with more ease, her pussy lubricating his cock as it penetrated her, he moved his hips like a jackhammer, picking up speed and slowing down again.
"You enjoying yourself huh?" he teased, pulling out his cock and teasing her entrance again.
"Hey! I was until you did that!" she pouted.
He began to chuckle - "Relax Angel, step two coming up" he smirked as his cock aimed back down into her hole.
Before the Kryptonian knew it, he slammed right down inside her, going in deep as this made her gasp, eyes widened as the pleasure was sudden, his cock drew deeper as he thrusted with speed, knowing he popped her cherry not long ago.
His thighs collided with her pelvis, slapping noises were heard as he was going deep, his cock slipping in and out, in and out as she continued to moan loud, her pussy got wetter as that began to make noises too.
Her moans were silenced briefly by Y/N's lips crashing into hers as he kept the paste up, her muffled moans colliding with his own soft groans, both breathing hard after the long deep kiss they both shared, his hips going much faster than before.
His hands massaged her breasts again as her eyes brimmed with tears, the pleasure becoming too much for her to bear she began to giggle uncontrollably, laughing at the pleasure of his cock going deep inside her, touching the G-spot.
She craved for this, looking into his eyes as she used her elbows to reach up to him, wanting to kiss him deep by pulling him down to her, her legs wrapped around him as she wanted him to finish inside
And she knew it was coming, she knew he was getting close to orgasm, she could feel his cock twitching.
Not only that... She was close too, her walls began to tighten further as her soft moans got louder again.
"Oh Rao yes!! Fuck, fuck, fuck! Keep going!! I'm gonna cum again!!" she shouts with pleasure, his cock did a few more thrusts before - "YESSSSSS!! OH FUCK!!!" she shouted with an orgasm, cursing and talking dirty in Kryptonese not long after.
You didn't understand what she meant but she said it with heart and lust as you came to orgasm after she did, groaning as your cock twitched inside her, filling her womb up before crashing into her body as the two of you laid there, panting heavily as both of your hearts calmed down.
Kara laid there was satisfaction, looking at Y/N as he sighed with her, both feeling satisfied as they embraced in a kiss.
Not long after... The two got up and cleaned themselves, Kara changed out of her outfit by putting on a suitable pair of pyjamas, donning her glyph.
Y/N however stayed within his boxers, both were laying on the couch, watching a movie they agreed to watch.
His arm outstretched over her shoulder, cuddling into him as they watched the movie together.
It was at this point... Y/N was the happiest he's ever been.
He found that one person who somehow managed to break open his shell, his layer of walls that isolated him forever.
It was like what Dick Grayson once told him - "A little push and you're all set to sail" he thought back as he laid his head against Kara's.
"Y/N"
And upon that...
He would never want to leave her side.
"I love you"
Ever...
"I love you too"

If you're still accepting prompts #5 for supercorp?? Please.. no pressure.. have a good day!!!
When Kara gets an invitation to Andrea’s latest art gala, her friends all reach an unanimous decision to RSVP “no fucking chance” via every available avenue.
It would have been creative, really, and impressive—that is, if Nia hadn’t gotten banned from the post office as a result. So in the end it was just a nice thought, if a misguided one; really, Kara is used to Andrea’s antics by now. They had broken up two months ago, but Andrea seemed intent on showing off every chance she could that she had moved on. Kara has never accused her of doing it to be cruel, but she has to admit, sometimes she fantasizes about showing up to one of Andrea’s events with someone else to show she has moved on as well. Just, you know, to even the score. (If they were keeping score).
But she shows up dateless all the same, and everyone is still aghast she showed up at all, but Kara has always been a firm believer of taking the high road even if Andrea won’t. And Alex tags along, if only to glower at Andrea any chance she gets, until she gets distracted by a pretty girl at the bar and Kara ends up alone just as she anticipated.
Well, she consoles herself, at least the buffet is always here to keep her company.
“Excuse me,” a sudden voice to her right suddenly interrupts the slow-motion movie in Kara’s head that has focused mostly on cream puffs. “Are you Kara Danvers?”
“Yeah?” Kara adjusts her glasses and squares her shoulders, already prepared to face the person Andrea has sent to be her “greeter”—she has a habit of sending someone to escort Kara to personally come say hi to her and her new girlfriend, as if she’s too busy to come across the room herself.
“I thought I recognized you,” says the stranger before her. “I’m Lena, I’m—”
“Andrea’s friend,” Kara fills in the blanks, slightly stunned. “Hi.” She’d heard about Lena Luthor, the mysterious boarding schoolmate turned actress, but had never met her before.
“I always meant to come introduce myself, but…” Lena trails off, and the unspoken but then Andrea broke up with you remains unsaid. “Anyway, I’m sorry. I don’t know why I came over here, I was…”
“Curious?” Kara offers, and she feels the corner of her mouth twitch with the effort to withhold a self-pitying laugh. “I know, it’s weird. Here I am, at my ex’s party, just trying to stock up on as much free food as I can. I understand if you want to call security.”
Lena Luthor has a very stoic demeanor which must be a product of practiced professionalism, but when Kara says that, a laugh kind of erupts from her mouth; it’s simultaneously undignified and endearing all at once. “Oh, God, I’m sorry—I just, I have no doubt you don’t want to be here. I know Andrea makes it her mission to flaunt her success to everyone.”
“I guess,” Kara shrugs, “but I could have said no.”
“No, you couldn’t have,” Lena disagrees, and her eyes are undoubtedly searching as they meet Kara’s, her gaze heavy but warm. “I’ve been there, I know what she’s like.”
Kara tugs at the knot of her tie, suddenly wishes it were a bit looser, and then sighs. “Yeah,” she says quietly. “Sometimes I wish I could give her a taste of her own medicine, you know? To—” And then it dawns on her. It’s something Alex would thump her over the head for, and it’s the kind of idea that Nia would wholeheartedly agree on. “Hey. Are you single?”
Lena gives her an odd look. “What?”
“Wait, that’s not what it sounds like,” Kara is quick to assure her. “I meant—if you’re single, and willing, would you maybe want to pretend you’re my girlfriend?”
“Me?” Lena has very green eyes, mesmerizingly green really, and it’s hard for Kara to even form words when they’re trained on her. “That feels kind of…petty.”
Kara deflates. “You’re right,” she mumbles. “I’m sorry, I—”
“Kara, there you are.” Winn, who must be the unfortunate courier of bad news this evening, arrives short of breath. “Andrea wanted me to tell you hi for her. Or, er, she wants me to invite you to…say hi to her? I don’t even know what she’s asking.”
“We do,” Lena cuts in, and before Kara can even blink, there is a hand holding hers, intertwined fingers and all; Lena smiles sideways at her, just about level in her heels, and her smile is so stunningly pretty that Kara can only blink back in response. “Shall we, darling?”
“Um,” Kara says very ineloquently in response, and Winn’s eyes just about pop out of his head. “Okay.”
It is very strange to hold someone’s hand, Kara decides, when you don’t know the person. Lena’s hand is soft and just edging on cold, as if she’d been outside too long before arriving, and all Kara can do is agonize over whether her hand is sweaty.
Andrea is waiting by the orchestra, quite predictably, with her new girlfriend and acting as if she hadn’t expected Kara to walk up to her at all. “Kara, hi,” she says, and normally this is the time she would schmooze and smile without teeth, batting her eyes and stressing how nice it is that Kara could make it. But when she spots Lena—namely, Lena holding Kara’s hand—her smile freezes on her face. “Lena, I didn’t know you were coming. We didn’t see your RSVP.”
Lena tilts her head just so, smiling just bright enough to be polite. “Oh, I’m sorry,” she says, and lets go of Kara’s hand as if practiced to rest against the lapel of her suit jacket. “Kara’s invite had a plus one, so I assumed I could just come with.”
“Of course,” Andrea says tightly. “Though I must say, I didn’t even know you two knew each other.”
“Well, we have you to thank,” Kara says without even thinking, without even forming a story, and judging by the way Lena’s eyebrows raise she is thinking the same thing. “I was, um, working a shoot and Lena was there and she recognized me, from pictures you showed her? So we started talking. And here we are.” Then, because she’s sure she needs to play up the romance, she slides her own hand against Lena’s waist—a mistake for her own sanity, because Lena is in a quite form-fitting red dress and Kara gets a little too distracted when she looks at it.
“You make us sound so dull,” Lena tuts, and her eyes sparkle with a challenge when Kara looks at her. “She won’t admit it, but she was so tongue-tied when we met. Completely head over heels.”
“Okay but who wouldn’t be?” Kara dares her right back, feeling more brazen, and Lena quirks an eyebrow as if intrigued.
“I thought you were cute too, I suppose,” Lena says, and she sways into Kara’s embrace, which causes Kara’s heart to beat embarrassingly quick. “Even if you almost dropped a backdrop on my head.”
“I apologized for that,” Kara plays along, relieved that Lena’s far better at crafting a story; she has never seen Lena act in anything, but knows she has to be Oscar-worthy for this performance alone.
Andrea pointedly clears her throat. “How nice,” she says flatly, looking annoyed, and Kara had nearly forgotten that she’s here.
“Well great party, Andrea,” Kara says. “And thank you for having us, but we have to run—I promised Lena a dance.”
“Lena doesn’t dance,” Andrea says sharply, but Lena is already nodding along with Kara’s excuse.
“What can I say,” Lena says cheerfully, “she brings out the dancer in me.”
Kara has to pretend to cough, then, because that is such an awful line, and Lena pinches her wrist when no one is looking, and really it’s a miracle they manage to get away before Andrea realizes this is all a ruse. In fact, the instant they’re back at the buffet, they exchange a single look and immediately burst into laughter.
“Thank you, for that,” Kara says afterwards, shyly taking a step back when she notices she’s still lingering too close.
“It was your idea, I just brought it to life,” Lena says. “Though you really had me digging for my improv notes, because your storytelling leaves a lot to be desired.”
“I tend to think before I speak sometimes,” Kara admits sheepishly. “Which, uh, I’m sorry about. You know, because the dancing thing…” She pauses. “You don’t have to dance with me though. I’ll just pretend I got an urgent call or something, and Winn can pass on the message that I left.”
“You forget that I’m your date for the evening, now,” Lena warns. “If you leave I’m practically obligated to leave with you.”
“Right, I didn’t think of that.” And with Lena staring back at her, her expression soft and curious, Kara feels brave again. “Well…do you drink coffee?”
“I do,” Lena says, angling just a bit closer, and Kara smiles.
“I know a great coffee shop in the area,” she says. “And they don’t care if we show up looking like this.”
“Are you asking me on an actual date?” Lena bites her bottom lip just coyly enough that Kara knows she’s not opposed to the suggestion, which is what prompts her to respond,
“Yes,” without so much as a pause. “And I can promise I won’t almost-drop anything on your head in this scenario.”
“Well I’d hope so,” Lena says, and Kara laughs, and really it’s the strangest outcome that Kara could have never anticipated. And yeah, it’s as awkward as any first date already, Kara blushing too much and Lena fiddling with her hands as they walk, but—it’s also just about the best night of Kara’s life.
“So why didn’t you RSVP?” Kara thinks to ask, just as they reach the front door, and Lena scrunches her nose in confusion.
“I told my assistant to RSVP for me, I’m not sure what happened,” she says. “I saw her leave to the post office myself.”
“Oh,” Kara says, grimacing. “That wouldn’t have been the one off of 37th street, would it?”
“Yes, actually. How’d you know?”
Kara thinks of Nia’s ban, and the fact that letters are oh-so-flammable, and just shakes her head. “Let’s just say it’s never arriving,” she says, and Lena gives her a confused look, but Kara reaches for her hand again and then everything else kind of fades away.
(Even Alex—who they pass on the way outside—and her shout of, “Kara, what the fuck,” melts into the symphony of car honks and police sirens and shouts of passerby as Kara and Lena disappear into the cool night air).

[The First Post of the Luthor Family AU]
Lex: So you are dating SuperGIRL now? Hm?
Lena: Please stop.
Lex: Can't a man ask about his baby sister poor life choices?
Lena: No. And it's not what you are doing anyway.
Lex: And what in god's name is it that I'm doing?
Lena: You know I spoke with mom and you are trying to mimic her homophobic talking points so you can pretend the reason you are mad is that I'm dating a woman and not that you are jealous that I got to date Supergirl while the closest you got to Superman was a hyper controled punch.
Lex: I'm not doing that! And I do resent the acusation! I'm merely concerd about what people will think of the Luthor's name when-
Lena: Fuck off. You hate people. The last time you cared about what people were saying was when they compared you to Elon Musk and that is a massive insult. Before that you were twelve.
Lex: Mayhaps. But there is the question of money.
Lena: I don't think we can ever lose enough money to stop being the 1%. It's actually concerning and we should at least pay more taxes...
Lex: Uh... Actually I think you should not be with woman because god doesn't like it! Yeah. That's it! Nothing to do with Superman at all.
Lena: *laughs* The last time you even sugested the existence of a god you were high, had not took your meds in a while and was talking about how you were a god and would become the only one soon. Please.
Lex: Maybe I'm merely preparing you to deal with mother.
Toddler!Conner: *wobbles into the room* Dada!
Lena: *baby talk to Conner* Who is this cutie? * to Lex* No, really who is this child?
Lex: *avoiding eye contact* Surely not a artifically made baby I created with mine and Superman's stolen DNA and am now raising.
Lena: LEX?!
Lex: I said I didn't do it and if I had I'm older and you hold no power over me.
Lena: You have a dangerous obcession and that is ridiculous. You can't just genetically engineer a child with your's forgive me the childish word "crush".
Lex: I did not! For your information he was supposed to be a weapon of mass destruction to protect Earth when Superman finally failed like we all know he will.
Lena: HOW IS THAT BETTER?
Lex: I don't want to do that anymore?
Lena: You better not.
Lex: Don't worry. I won't be like father, I have principles.
Lena: Again you better do. Because if not aunt Lena and aunt Kara are going to make you pay.
