please don't spoil any of the games with stories in the replies or reblogs!

Ori and the Blind Forest - felinekin, maybe some kind of fae or angel kin too ori is very good little creature design and it moves around so fluidly but there's zero customization, if you vibe with ori it's great and if you don't, might not be for you. it's a puzzle platformer similar gameplay-wise to hollow knight (but not as difficult)

Hollow Knight - bugkin, ghostkin, voidkin difficult but very pretty and atmospheric. i've played some of it before getting stuck/being unable to progress because i'm not good at video game. hard platformer with boss fights.

Stray - robotkin, catkin this is one i've been meaning to play for ages (and haven't gotten around to pirating yet, cough) Stray is a 3d game set in a cyberpunk/sci fi world. You play as a tabby cat trying to find its way back to its home and it looks stunning. I assume the story is great, too.

Roblox Creatures of Sonaria - there are so many creature designs there you're bound to find something that's youcore their colors can be customized. It's a multiplayer survival game so it's more stressful than the other games on this list, you gotta be trying not to die the whole time

Animal Jam Classic / Animal Jam Play Wild - lots of real world animals you can dress up and change the colors and patterns of your animals. ajc is in 2d and ajpw is in 3d and has more animal options, but i find ajpw really confusing personally.

William and Sly/William and Sly 2 - foxkin old flash games available as a set on steam, a quest platformer where you run around a pretty forest environment as a red fox and find various things. the music is lovely, both games have a great atmosphere, played it a ton as kid on armor games. i dont think i ever even finished either game i just loved running around as sly (in the second game there are also little kitten-fairies that you can collect and that follow you around)

Postmouse - mousekin free on steam, 3d puzzle platformer where you're a mouse that delivers letters. it can get a little obtuse and confusing at times which is why i never finished it, but it's very charming and free to play! you run around all these huge and pretty environments as a fancy-dressed little mouse .

Lost Dream 1 and 2 - foxkin abstract/stylized/polygonal walking simulator where you play as a red fox. doesn't seem to be much story and the reviews are mixed because walking sims like this need to be like, your cup of tea.

Spyro Reignited - dragonkin of course had to mention such an OG dragon game. never played it but like, it's spyro. cartoony 3d platformer in a fantasy environment.

Oneshot - catkin pixel rpg where you play as a cat child and the gimmick is that you only have one life. the steam page tags it as story rich and having multiple endings/story choices you can make, and the graphics are beautiful, the whole game seems to be made of dark colors and poppy accents

Way to the Woods - an in-development 3d game where you play as a deer and fawn exploring different enviroments.

The Isle - an early access survival MMO where you play as a dinosaur and try to stay alive.

Historical Event in the SotWK AU:

The (Non)Involvement of Thranduil in the Sack of Erebor

Could Thranduil have helped kill Smaug and save Erebor?

Disclaimer: The content in this post is mostly headcanon created for the SotWK AU, founded on canon details from the books and movies.

Context: Timeline of Thranduil's History in the Third Age

c. TA 1000-2000 - Thranduil, his family, and their people spend one thousand years fighting and enduring against the rise of Dol Guldur and the darkness and evil creatures that have infested and overrun the southern regions of Greenwood the Great.

Alas, by TA 2000:

Nearly all the woodlands south of the Old Forest Road had been abandoned.

The Woodland Realm's population had been reduced to nearly half of the great number it reached during the Golden Age of Thranduil's rule.

Many Silvans were killed by the onslaught of spiders, orcs, and other dark creatures or poisoned by the sick forest itself (air, water, food). A few even faded from grief and despair, which never before happened to the resilient Silvans.

The Silvans' famously high birthing rate dropped to nearly zero, leading to a "lost generation" and fears of gradual extinction.

TA 2063 - Crown Prince Mirion dies in direct combat against the Necromancer, resulting in Thranduil's vengeful razing of the fortress (SotWK HC), and the Council of the Wise's investigation (through Gandalf), all of which forces Sauron to abandon Dol Guldur. This begins the period known as the Watchful Peace.

During the 400 years of the Watchful Peace, the Silvans regain hope and courage, and with that, their ability and desire to have children again.

TA 2210 - Thorin I abandons Erebor to join his kin in the Grey Mountains in TA 2210. The Lonely Mountain is abandoned for three-hundred and eighty years.

TA 2460 - The Watchful Peace ends. Sauron returns with increased strength to Dol Guldur.

TA 2509 - Princess Itarildë’s mother, Nimeithel (oc), dies trying to defend her cousin Celebrían from the Orcs. Lady Celebrían sails to the Undying Lands the following year, and Queen Maereth is devastated by the loss of her two dearest friends.

TA 2589 - When their halls in the Grey Mountains come under attack by Cold-drakes, Prince Arvellas dies attempting to aid the Dwarves (defying his father's orders for the only time in his life). Dáin I and younger brother Frór are both slain, and Thrór inherits the kingship.

TA 2590 - King Thrór returns to Erebor with the Arkenstone to re-establish the Kingdom under the Mountain. Thrór's younger brother Grór leads others to the Iron Hills.

TA 2601 - Prince Turhir leaves Mirkwood, unable to cope with the trauma and guilt over his brothers' deaths. (Further details withheld to avoid fic spoilers.) His departure strains Thranduil and Maereth's marriage in a way it has never suffered before.

TA 2746 - Thorin (Oakenshield) is born in Erebor. Maereth sends gifts to honor the birth of the new prince, in an attempt to heal the friendship with the House of Durin that was broken after Arvellas's death. The gifts are accepted, but the rekindled friendship remains tenuous, especially since Thranduil has lost his desire to remain allies with the Dwarves he holds responsible for Arvellas's death.

TA 2760 - The continuing strain on their marriage forces Maereth and Thranduil to agree they need time apart. Maereth leaves Mirkwood to reside in Imladris for several years. (This is the only separation they have in the 2,900 years of their marriage.)

TA 2765 - Thranduil (trying to prove to his willingness for peace with the Dwarves again, as Maereth wants of him) commissions the jewel-smiths of Erebor to make a necklace from the White Gems of Lasgalen. However, when he comes to claim the finished necklace, he is turned away by Thrór, who (under the influence of dragon-sickness) claims that the gems were ill-begotten treasure from Khazad-dûm, and belonged to the Durins by birthright. Thranduil holds in his anger at the insult and does not press the matter, not wishing to completely sever the alliance that means so much to his wife.

TA 2770 - Smaug lays waste to the town of Dale and captures Erebor with all of its treasure.

tldr: Thranduil was not at his best when Smaug came to attack Erebor. He had many problems of his own, and he had very legitimate grievances against Thrór and his kin.

Unfortunately, Thrór was never forthcoming with his grandson, Thorin, about the deep history between the Durins and Thranduil's family, so as far as Thorin and his people believed, the Elvenking and his family just "lacked all honor". Nothing could have been further from the truth.

How did Thranduil react upon hearing of the attack?

The Elvenqueen was still in Imladris during the attack, and was therefore not present to give Thranduil council. Because of their separation, Maereth's mind was closed off to Thranduil's, and so she could not be reached through ósanwe. The younger princes, Gelir and Legolas, lacked the ability to telepathically communicate across that great a distance.

It was Gelir and Legolas who pushed their father to ride out with their army to help the Dwarves. Even though the bitterness of Arvellas's death still remained, Thranduil heeded his sons.

They had a solid plan to kill Smaug.

Thranduil had fought against fire-breathing dragons during the War of Wrath, and he knew what it would take to kill one: nothing short of a hero's self-sacrifice.

There was one weapon in Mirkwood that was surely powerful enough to pierce dragon hide and flesh: the great broadsword (or claymore) of the late Crown Prince Mirion.

Mirion's sword was forged by the prince himself (he was the best bladesmith in the realm), and was made from a special steel sourced from Khazad-dûm centuries before its fall. (Thranduil's sword was made from this same steel, which was also crafted by Mirion and given to his father as a gift.)

The sword was so large and heavy, only three people were known to be able to wield it: Mirion, Thranduil, and Turhir. Only Mirion had the strength and sufficient practice to wield it single-handed when needed.

Therefore, any attack using the sword would have to be carried out by the Elvenking himself.

For reference, Mirion's broadsword is about as massive as "Ice", Ned Stark's Valyrian sword from Game of Thrones.

In order to defeat Smaug, Thranduil's strategy would have been to attack the dragon himself with the sword. Gelir, Legolas, and the rest of his army would provide enough diversion to allow the Elvenking to get close without being burned by dragonfire.

What actually happened during the attack?

Thranduil was gripped by indecision and did not act as soon as he received the news of Smaug's descent. He already knew that any action they take against the dragon would mean loss of life for his people, and that made him hesitate, which caused some delay.

But he DID gather his army, his last two sons (who refused to be left behind), and marched out with the intention of engaging.

However, once Thranduil saw with his own eyes he fiery wrath of Smaug and the destruction he was capable of, and sensed the dragon's greed and evilness, the reality of the situation and the weight of old memories crashed down on him full force.

He remembered how he almost died from dragonfire, how painful those burns were, and how long it took him to recover from the physical and emotional scars. (And he only survived due to Valinor-level healing!) Did he want his soldiers to suffer the same, even if they survived?

He remembered that he had already lost one son (Arvellas) to dragons, who gave his life to help these same Dwarves, and received little gratitude for it in return. Was he ready to risk his last two sons?

And lastly, Thranduil realized, with almost full certainly, that killing Smaug would cost him his life. Was he ready to leave his wife a widow, his sons fatherless, and grandson saddled with the burden of kingship in such dark times?

The answer to all those questions was NO. So he made the difficult decision to turn back.

Thranduil's real mistake (that you can fault him for. Maybe.)

An argument could be made that even if Thranduil didn't want to directly engage with Smaug, he could still have sent his army to shield the Dwarves of Erebor and the people of Dale and help them get to safety. Less civilian lives could have been lost.

They didn't have to completely turn around and go home. They could have still tried to to something--as his sons (especially Gelir) would argue later on.

However, at that point, Thranduil choked on his reluctance to risk anything any further, after everything his family and kingdom had already been through. His sons were especially chomping at the bit to slay the dragon, and things could have easily gotten out of hand if they stepped into the same field as Smaug.

By retreating completely, Thranduil eliminated all risk.

And yes, the bitterness of Thrór's treatment (those damn jewels), and the way Arvellas's death was handled (the Durins never properly honored the prince's sacrifice) still lingered. It certainly factored in the decision to (selfishly?) leave the Dwarves to their fate.

Thranduil HAD warned Thrór "of what his greed would summon", especially after the fatal attack of the cold-drakes on the Grey Mountains. And Thrór certainly did not listen.

What was fair, then? How much responsibility still fell on Thranduil to help the Durins, given all these facts?

Aid was delivered in the aftermath; but the Dwarves considered it "too little, too late".

When Smaug had finally locked himself up in Erebor with his precious treasure, Thranduil did send out aid to the refugees of both Erebor and Dale. When Elvenqueen Maereth finally returned from Imladris, she spearheaded this effort.

Mind you, it's not like Mirkwood was swimming in excess resources at this time. But they still gave whatever they could to the thousands displaced, including medical aid, food and clothing, and even temporary shelter.

The men of Dale accepted the aid and help in finding new dwellings, including resettling in Esgaroth.

The Dwarves accepted the Elves' aid, but only to some extent.

Thrór wanted Thranduil to prove his allegiance by helping them to force Smaug out of the mountain, which of course Thranduil flatly refused to do.

The proud and angry Durins therefore declared him and his people faithless, and chose to move south to Dunland, instead of accepting Maereth's offer to help them rebuild near Mirkwood.

The Elvenqueen's final attempt to reconcile her family and people with the House of Durin would be during the War of the Dwarves and Orcs (TA 2793). However, her tragic death only worsened the divide between Thranduil and the House of Durin; we see this in Thorin's anger during his capture in the events of The Hobbit.

It all ends happily.

Healing and reconciliation would finally be achieved a century and a half later, during the Battle of Five Armies (TA 2941), where the Elves of Mirkwood play a role in saving the lives of King Thorin and his nephews. Once Erebor is reclaimed by the Durins, the two kingdoms become fierce allies and remain so for the rest of their histories.

18. Is there some headcanon you've included in more than one fic?

Ohhh this is a tough one, Soulie! Because honestly there's probably a ton that I'm not even aware of, particularly when it comes to Matt Murdock since I have so many different fics and one shots for him now and I tend to view him in a certain way. I don't know if these are all technically headcanons, but I broke them down between Frank, Michael, and Matt below the cut!

Starting with Frank, I think from what I've noticed in my fics is that Frank needs to almost always have a dog when he settles down. And it's obviously got to be a rescue--probably one he saved himself even. I just think a dog would help heal him, okay? I also think there's still a super playful, teasing side to Frank that can still come out after what he's been through when he finally manages to let someone in--but it's like a big deal to see that side of him. And no one else will. Then what I've also noticed in the way I write him across other fics is that he is very guarded when it comes to falling in love or starting another family because he is clearly still mourning his deceased wife and kids. Something that plays a role for sure in Don't Walk Away that is more apparent in part 2 (whenever that gets finished 😅) and in You're Safe With Me.

When it comes to Mikey, I think I tend to write him as unaware of just how toxic and controlling his family is with him. He's aware of some of it, but for the most part I think he thinks it's normal for them to treat him the way they do. Considering what we know of his upbringing, it makes sense. Though he will fiercely protect the person he cares about, even defending them from his family if need be (as you're soon to see in Safe Haven and as seen in I Can't Lose You). And I firmly believe whatever happened with his wife was sheer accident, which will remain true in all my fics with him until Kin gives us the facts (looking at you now BBC).

And for dear Matty...there are three things that stand out for him in how I often write him. A big one is his fierce protectiveness that will become possessive over people he loves because of his trauma from losing people. So he tends to...use his senses to check in on significant others even when they don't know and when he knows he shouldn't be invading their privacy (I notice this recurring in lots of my fics for Matt but I absolutely see him being like this and then beating himself up over it).

And something else that comes to mind straightaway is the way I tend to write smut for Matt. I firmly believe the man can be rough in the bedroom and can enjoy it, especially after a run as the Devil, but I happen to think he prefers something softer and more intimate. The man has been through a lot of trauma in his life and I believe he just wants to be loved (if he would ever let someone). Plus his body must be constantly in pain from what he puts it through when he goes out, and I imagine his senses might make rough sex...a lot sometimes. So I imagine he likes gentle and loving in the bedroom more often than not and that is why I tend to write smut for him a certain way usually. Doesn't mean he doesn't like to make things spicy though 🔥

I also believe he has like zero relationship experience and whatever he gained was from his toxic relationship with Elektra or whatever he learned in college. So he sucks at relationships sometimes which is what adds a lot of irritation to my angsty fics for him. But let's be real, was he dating in that orphanage? Probably not really. Though I'm sure he did other things cause there's no way I believe Matt Murdock was a virgin when he went to Columbia! So I use his romantic inexperience with others as issues in a lot of angst pieces.

I'm sure there are plenty of things I forgot, but that's what I could come up with for this one! And damn did it really get me thinking...

HII hello anon. so akagi and kaiji are 2 seperate works of the same author (fukumoto, fkmt for short) that dont follow each other or anything

AKAGI (the genius who descended into darkness) is a mahjong manga, u dont NEED mahjong knowledge to read it but it helps. theres also an anime but its bad (*worse) and a drama thats really good! akagi also has a sequel (in the in-story chronology) called Ten (the nice guy on the path of Tenhou) thats a LOT MORE mahjong heavy and ull need to know how to play to enjoy it fully. its also not a death game its just gambling fiction :] and its really good!! its where old akagi is from. theres also a drama that i only watched the 1st ep of but i believe is good. thats all for akagi! theres more prequels/sequels from these 2 but they dont include akagi so lets skip them

KAIJI! (gambling apocalypse) this ones death gambling. its divided into 6 parts that follow each other in the story but that each give you a full gamble so you can STOP whenever you want but you have to START at part 1. i made another post about kaiji so ill be quick

kaiji also has its share of spinoffs that you dont really need to worry about they are all comedic only and non-canon.

im assuming you mean other fkmt stuff (the pointy men extended universe), all of his other stories are equally self-contained so you can pick what kind of gambling or death game or mahjong interests you most and try it out!. the other well liked ones are usually gin to kin (scamming & gambling) buraiden gai (this ones its own category) and zero (this one has a sequel, math-themed death games then.. gambling death games?)

the best known and best liked from fkmt are kaiji & akagi tho so thats for sure the best place to start. mahjong likers prefer akagi n other people prefer kaiji usually lol so which you might wanna start w depends on that. but i do rec akagi to everyone ever for real and kaiji part 1 is required reading if youve ever considered getting into squid game, or liar game, and so on

@rhavewellyarnbag very kindly tagged me to do this, thank you! last song: I am a bit obsessed with Dos Oruguitas from Encanto, it’s a bit sad and a bit hopeful currently reading: I would say The Terror that I never finished, but that would be a lie as I just put it aside to be finished on St Never most likely. Just not vibing with it. I have picked up a few books to read in the next months that I am more excited about. last movie: Netflix made me do this! Leave the World Behind. It’s not a great film, although I do like Mahershala Ali, and I thought the premises were interesting. What I DO live about it is the cinematography, the framing, the camera angles. And while most post apocalyptic films about the downfall of all focus on the ‘after’- it was fun to see the ‘before/as it happened’ Currently watching: Finished Kin which I really liked, and which finished on ahigh note in season 2, so hope there will be more? I kind of picked it because Ciaran Hinds, stuck with season 2 because: hot bearded guys, I'm shallow and proud. Also, Yellowjackets! It’s good. Zero knowledge of what it was all about, so it was a pleasant surprise. I also saw one other show that almost killed any faith in humanity I had left, so double happy that it’s a very decent watch. currently craving: Bubble tea or maybe some nice hot chocolate currently consuming: sadly neither bubble tea nor nice hot chocolate; but I made a nice dinner so that should count for something three ships: freestyle, as always something that includes actual moi and whoever first ship: prehistoric, I really can’t remember my anime days all that well favorite color: Green currently working on: surviving the winter, my workplace almost feels like the Terror locked in ice I would like to tag, but as always no pressure if you dont feel like it ot just can’t @solomon-tozer @vreenak @orchiddingme @charismat1c-megafauna @nedwardlittle @croziers-compass @noeavoiding @headaches-and-coffee and @willowbilly

I have to apologize, I ran out of physical steam to finish this, and want to move on and complete all the prompts. I'd like to write a second chapter to round it out (happy ending, lol) eventually, but we'll see. Again, I'm sorry. It's very abrupt and there's zero transition, but in my defense I'm really, really, REALLY tired.

He Moved Through The Woods

Fili walked through the doors of the familiar old tavern for the first time in a year - a year to the very day - since he left. It had been the night of All Hallow’s Eve when he’d set out twelve months ago. The familiar faces of his kin and people looked up to greet him almost immediately, as if the entire establishment had been packed in anticipation of their prince’s return, and he was welcomed with gruff embraces and cheers.

He expected to see the face he most wanted to see eventually emerge from the crowd at any moment, but when he turned to catch his uncle’s eye from the corner where he sat next to his mother, he was only met with a solemn shake of the head.

It was tradition to share amongst the elders in their community tales of his exploits upon returning from a pilgrimage, showing proof of his adventures and demonstrating how he’d grown as a dwarrow (but more importantly, as Thorin’s heir). It was quite a while and several ales before he was able to join his mother and uncle in their quiet corner where they greeted him gladly and warmly.

“Not a day later than promised. You have my thanks for not causing your mother one more day of worry,” his uncle praised him.

Dis reached across the table to cup her son’s face and looked at him proudly. “My golden lion. We have missed you so much.”

He covered his mother’s hand gently with his own and rose to meet her halfway so they could press their foreheads together. “I missed you all, too, amad. Where is my naddith?”

Thorin sighed and Dis’ expression became somber.

“He hasn’t been himself this last year,” his uncle informed him. “He would not confide if you’d had a falling out before you left for your Warrior’s Pilgrimage, but I assume you did, or else he would not be so morose.”

Fili’s lingering fear since he’d left had been confirmed. Before he could formally request his brother’s hand, he had to complete his pilgrimage. Kili hadn’t seen the need, but his brother - Mahal bless him - had little aptitude for thinking in the abstract. He preferred the gratification of the moment and was unable to understand how important it was that they adhere to tradition, rather than to just do as they pleased. No, it wasn’t required of Fili to have completed his pilgrimage, but his uncle and all those who had a hand in approving their courting match would certainly be more likely to take them seriously if one or both of them had gotten in out of the way.

Kili could be so damned stubborn and highly sensitive. Fili had thought that he’d been able to convince him before he’d left that he wasn’t rejecting him, and that Fili was doing this for them. The last thing he had wanted was to leave Kili to stew, but eventually he felt like he had no choice, between the pressure Thorin was piling on him and the mutterings on the council utilize their “spare” to pursue a marriage alliance. Kili had already expressed a desire to chose the Crafstman’s Pilgrimage which unfolded over a number of years as he mastered his chosen skills, and they were running out of time for him to conclude that endeavor first.

“He’ll be waiting for us at home, I’m sure,” his mother assured him. “If he’s coming from the forest, then it might be a little after sundown, since that’s been his habit lately. But he’s been waiting for this day as eagerly as anyone else, and I’m sure he plans to be home soon.”

The only thing Fili had thought of on his journey had been Kili. He dreamed of him, heard his voice in his head when he was awake, saw his handsome grin every time he closed his eyes. His naddith was his personal lodestar in seeking honor and justice, his muse when penning his heart to parchment. Being apart from him for so long had been a tribulation all on its own aside from his actual pilgrimage. He’d nearly gotten himself killed in an angry river spirit’s trap - enthralled by the allure of the creature in his brother’s form. He’d been run out of a village he’d saved from a flood for declining the chieftain’s daughter’s hand in marriage when they offered it in gratitude. When he thought he might die from the wound in his stomach a warg had inflicted on him, he dreamt of his brother long enough for the elf to find him and render aid (he technically owed the elf for that one, but without the thought of leaving Kili behind, he might not have held on as long).

It had been a long year and all he wanted was the warmth and comfort of Kili’s embrace.

Before they could leave, Bofur waved him over in an obvious attempt to avoid being seen. Fili told Thorin and his mother to go on ahead, he would meet them back at home. He followed Bofur to the alley behind the tavern, curious to hear what he might have to say, if not annoyed at being delayed even for just a moment.

“Can’t be sure I’m not sticking my nose where it don’t belong, lad, but I thought you ought t’know,” Bofur muttered quietly and looked discreetly around them to be sure they were alone. “Your brother’s been actin’ a mite strange this last week. Always thought it was bad enough, ‘im going in the woods alone since you left, all on his own. Always hated the stories Ma used to tell about that place. He’s been worse these past two days, and I’m worried he’s come across a zardûna —”

“Bofur for Mahal’s sake, that's just an old tale our parents told to keep us out of the wood.”

“Aye,” Bofur nodded, still looking discomfited. “Maybe so, but whatever your brother is up to in there, it’s no good for him. Find him, Fili. I worry summat terrible will happen. I just got a funny feelin’.”

Tales of witches and monsters in the wood had been sources of ripe fodder for the imagination for he and his brother in their youth, but a deep and lingering mistrust of the place had always stayed with him. They hunted it fairly often, though it was out of the question to enter the real heart of the wood. Dwarrow simply didn’t do it. No men in the region seemed to care for it either, and it was no haven of the elves. Paired with Bofur’s famed funny feeling that had become somewhat renowned over the years for being uncannily accurate, Fili found himself hitching up his pony and racing for the pitch black, looming forest as quick as he could.

Kili didn’t remember how he’d gotten to the entrance of the old abandoned mine, or when he’d decided this was his path. He’d been obsessing over it for days, unable to think of anything else. Yet, now, as he stood before both the door and this momentous, tragic decision, he couldn’t remember when he’d decided this was his choice.

This was the only choice anymore, of that he was sure. He couldn’t live like this. He couldn’t end it, either. He couldn’t do that to his family. He couldn’t be more of a disappointment than he already was. Despite the obvious fact that Fili had never been serious about what was between them, he knew his brother loved him as a brother, and would be sad to lose him. Kili just couldn’t do it. So this really was the only choice. He was grateful, in a way, otherwise he might really have done something unthinkable. This way, at least, he could be rid of these deplorable feelings and move on with his life without being a burden to others.

The witch had promised him, and he’d collected the required ingredients. He didn’t precisely remember doing that, but he had a strand of his brother’s hair clenched tightly in one hand, one of his molars and some blood in the other, and a sack filled with the freshly harvested organs of an eagle slung over his back. He was glad he couldn’t remember doing any of that, come to think of it.

Kili had been instructed to return on the night of All Hallows Eve. Fili would be returning soon, and the quicker Kili could cleanse himself, the happier the reunion would be. He could finally be a good brother, a good son, a good spare heir to his family once he stopped pestering his brother, once he got his head on straight and pursued his crafts, and the witch could fix all of this for him. He just had to pass through those doors and lay his collection of trophies on the altar she’d shown him.

He took a deep breath and entered.

The intertwined stories of Buddha and Zerofuku are an emotional carousel. This is the case when it is not boring to watch, despite the fact that all the twists and turns have already been discovered. I cried, laughed and worried all the way. In short. Powerful dramaturgy.

When I read the manga, I realized that Zero is the only realistic kin that I have ever seen in fiction. (Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha). And I love Buddha. (Obviously). I would like to be like him, but still I am far from this state. However, we are talking about artistic images. Who can ever be like Buddha? Nobody.

It's funny to me that original name of the character is Shaka. Perhaps for the reason that he has a personal name, and not an impersonal one, because a buddha is a status. But Shaka (Shakya) is his clan name, the name of the family he abandoned for freedom. That's tricky.

As for my expectations for future events: 1) I hope the authors will return Shaka's eye! (Not necessarily magical one. It's unlikly, but please). 2) I hope Shaka finishes off Beelzebub. Of course, for mercy's sake! (Well, we already know Beelzy's tearful story).

Shuumatsu no Walküre is the whale that has kept me going for the past year and a half. And it's like… you never know where you'll find love. Because it was completely by accident, and I will write about it another time.

P. S. I like Venti, so I was pleased to hear familiar voice, great job with aggressive intonations.

Hi guys! I’m gonna make an intro post because I have decided to come back to this blog. My other account has some bad memories associated with an ex friend and I’d rather use this one. Anyway:

Hi, my name is Riah (pronounced like Mariah without the “Ma”) but you can also call me Yorke, Lex, or anything idrc as long as you’re nice. I’m non-binary and I think agender is the best label for me but I lean more masculine so please use they/he (it and xe are fine, idrc as long as it’s not she/her.) I’m also a sex-repulsed asexual and I think I’m panromantic (not really sure, I’ve only dated one person and it was a guy before I was out as enby.) please do NOT flirt with me or ask me about my ex unless I want to talk about it. I still have a lot of trauma from irl stuff over the last few years but I don’t take stuff out on people.

I am 21 years old and am diagnosed with autism and ADHD as well as anxiety and off and on depression due to all the other stuff. If you’re ableist or say I’m faking my autism/ADHD, I will block you! That’s not cool.

I like a lot of different music rock and indie (Radiohead, Björk, Coldplay, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fiona Apple, etc) and I might post stuff here but this is mainly for other fandoms. I am a K-pop stan (mainly girl groups) and I sometimes post them. My main groups are BLACKPINK, Dreamcatcher, (G)-IDLE, Aespa, and IVE. I’m also obsessed with Taemin. I’m not against RPF on principal (as long as it doesn’t involve minors) and I’ve written some K-pop fics before. I don’t write smut because of me being ace. If I do crosspost or promote my AO3 here a lot of my fics are sad. But I mainly post fanfic of fictional stuff. I also don’t like people who are obsessive weird stans with K-pop, pop singers, rappers, it doesn’t matter who it is. Basically any celebrity if you stalk them or think you can marry them that’s weird! Fanfiction is FICTION and they are real people with lives. I see this stuff a lot in the K-pop community so I just wanted to put that as a disclaimer here I in no way support that behavior.

Im I’m a lot of fandoms but my main ones are Genshin, ATLA, Sonic, Mega Man, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Daria, MCU (mainly GOTG these days) Disney/Pixar, Spiderverse + animation in general. I used to be into Star Wars and Hunger Games but I’m more casual with it now. Im bad at watching shows because of my ADHD and need to finish stranger things and umbrella academy someday and then I’ll post them haha. I have a lot of dead fandoms from not finishing stuff. Also I used to be into Harry Potter but I’ve cut all ties with that because of JKR. I won’t hate you if you like HP stuff especially fan content but if you support JKR I’m gonna block you.

I don’t kin characters hardcore but there are definitely some that have more than one relatable aspect to me or I just love posting stuff about: Zuko, Katara, Blues, Zero, Mirabel, Shadow, Nimona, Rocket, Nebula, Vanellope, Gwen, Diluc, Scara—those are just some of my favorites and I’ll post a lot of spam about them lol. If you hate on me or others for having headcanons unless it’s like really really screwed up then don’t come on my page! I’m cool w all ships aside from p3d0 stuff (I personally don’t read 1ncest but it it’s fiction idrc. I will mention I’m in the Archie Sonic fandom to an extent and I ship Knuxulie who are distant cousins, but I don’t count is as 1ncest because everyone is technically related, it’s pretty distant, and Ken Penders is weird. It’s stuff like siblings, parent/child, first cousins, etc. that icks me out. I also don’t ship adopted siblings like Thor and Loki because that’s still incest so stop. robot masters are a gray area because there are so many Wilybots, there is a brief mention of Snake/Shadow in the fic, but all the main sibling ones I don’t ship together.) and people who say shit like “all reylos are toxic” don’t fly with me. I use this as an example because it’s what my ex used to do. Also taking things way too seriously about fiction like saying SU is the worst thing ever (I also want to mention my ex agreed with Lily Orchard and when I pointed out the rightful criticism she got for her lack of research, he said people only hate her because she is trans. He is a cis guy.) I also want to be clear that cishet guys who hate Korra as a character are on thin ice. I have weirdly specific boundaries because of my ex bf.

I hate people who gatekeep stuff in fandoms too unless you’re gatekeeping it from racist people or something. I also hate people who say “you’re not a real fan if you like/dislike a thing the fandom dislikes/likes”, people who harass writers or actors because they don’t like a show like be fr. So if I see that stuff on my page you’ll be blocked. Also saying stuff is non canon just because you don’t like it. The two biggest examples are the Star Wars sequel trilogy and BOTW/TOTK. People who say anyone who likes the sequel trilogy is a fake fan, and people who say that TOTK isn’t a real Zelda game just because they don’t like it. It’s annoying.

"WHAT DOES MOD PARTY CAT KNOW THAT WE DON'T???" - my friend last night while we were playing Zero Time Dilemma together (because of your tags on one of my kinfessions, at /post/710214917072060416) It surprised me to know that the person who runs this blog is familiar with Zero Escape, since I know you're not into Ace Attorney or Danganronpa which are both more popular series with a lot of fandom overlap. A little scary for kinfessions, since it means you have your own actual opinions and thoughts about the characters and stuff, but I trust your ability to stay impartial!

Since sending that kinfession, I've finished VLR, then watched my friend play it, and have figured out who I was. Honestly, I knew deep down even when I sent that kinfession, I was just still trying to make sense of the things I knew and how they could fit with what the game was doing. Some of the memories I thought were canon-divergent turned out to be in the game, which was an odd experience.

Still, my canon was very different than the way things went in the game. I don't have many kins, and I've never had one as canon-divergent as this before, so it gave me a lot of trouble to kinfirm, even after finishing it. And now it's really stressing me out, tbh. I've never been someone who's cared much about finding canonmates, but now that I remember things being SO different, I'm really, really hoping to find someone out there who remembers what I do. Even meeting another me who had a similar canon would make me feel way better about this. I'm not open about kin stuff on my main, and I have no experience at all making or responding to canon calls, so I'm still figuring out how to do that kinda thing.

(Also, pretty sure my Akane friend is going to read this so hiiii <3)

Will susie and magolor ever end up as friends after back to zero? I think she probably needs to work on herself as well, along with realizing that obsessively trying to continue her father's legacy isn't the healthiest mindset

She did so much shit. I dont think Mags would ever forgive her. And I wouldnt, either.

She helped destroy an entire planet — an entire people. An entire culture. An entire history. Wiped away from the charts.

And shes still proud of it. She still thinks that what she was doing was right. It very reasonably makes Magolor upset and angry towards her. No one knew how deep it went until Mags started openly talking more about it.

More under the cut about how much of Halcandra was wiped. its…disturbing stuff about the invasion so be warned. (Tldr its colonization and genocide.)

Isnt it odd that there was literally no Halcandrans left? Youd think, that during the Mechanization war, theyd have sent some of their kind away, make sure the species survives. But no. The Haltmanns chased after them. They saw some sort of value from each and ever single one of them…its probably that sleeping magic power that theyve been suppressing/ignoring for generations. The Haltmanns…harvested that power? And then mechanized them. “Improved” them. (I havent finished Robobot, but isnt that what Susie does to Meta?) Set them back on Halcandra to catch more of their kin, harvest resources, and take important relics back to the Access Arc. Which the Haltmanns keep — obviously not out of respect for the culture that made said relics, but for the powers they hold.

Everyone knows Halcandra for its miraculous technology. Thats all that survived of it, after the Haltmanns were done with their invasion (which Susie calls a failure because a certain magician interfered with the plans and blew the planet to smithereens “before it was ready”). Thats the only thing the Haltmanns told about it. The only items that survived the invasion. The culture itself: the arts, the philosophies, the intimate, every day lives of the people, the language…all those intangible things. Gone.

(Theres more about the Ancients regarding these, than the Halcandrans. Its a near-full cultural wipe. The tech and ruins of other settlements can be found scattered all over the galaxy, but most are from a different age. Far from the culture that used to live on the planet itself. And well…most of the planet’s been blown up, and the mechanization process kind of buried many of the culturally important structures; old and new.)

“A shame that such technology was developed by barbarians. Oh well. Our technology was able to surpass theirs. Perhaps we should be the ones remembered for creating miraculous technology, instead of them.”

Its a sentiment that Susie still believes in. She still thinks that everyone is a lower life-form. Kind of like her father. But while her father saw everything as a means to profit, she (does too, but its second to— ) uses the business to “improve lives”. Improve lives according to her standards. She thinks she knows whats best for these lower life-forms. Shes helping them! If only theyd stop fighting back!

Halcandra’s culture survives on the lone mage. And after him, no one will follow. It causes Magolor great pain to think about how hes at the end of an entire race’s lifetime. (He doesnt want to have his own kits. He admits that hes not father material. What he wants are other Halcandrans to continue living the culture hes preserving/living out.)

He sees Popstar and all the other planets…he wishes that the Halcandrans were still around. Theyd enjoy sights like these. The songs that wouldve been made, the tapestries that wouldve been weaved…

It doesnt mean that a culture was heavily remembered for its tech means that thats all they had.

Mags, probably after Back to Zero, would focus on recording and teaching everyone about Halcandra. After…all those threats to his life, hes thinking of legacy. A way to be remembered — not just for him, but his entire culture.

He does not want everyone to forget about Halcandra the way he knows it.

And Susie?

Shes doing everything she can to stop him. Because its seriously ruining her already shaky reputation. Bad for business.

“So finish the job, bitch. I dare you. Point that gun to my head and end it all, right here, right now, if all Im doing is ruining your precious business.

Oh wait. No. Thats not what you did. Heeheehee!

You want Halcandran power? Youre looking at the biggest reservoir on the planet! The only reason I survived was because I was powerful enough to fight back! Go on. Take it. Take it and mechanize my body for your own ends. Let me join my people. Heartless bitch.”

(Man, going to have to mess with the timeline a bit after this. Make Mags old enough to have remembered things before the fall. Maybe Halcandrans age slowly? Kind of like what Meta’s species does?

Note, legends of Halcandra already existed even before the invasion; of its previous ages. The only things told about the “current” Halcandra are told by the Haltmanns. No one knew how it was destroyed until way, way later, with the appearance of Magolor in Dreamland.
