this is my first time writing a request, so please let me know if i need to be more specific! i was wondering if you could write a desi reader x the dorm heads (twisted wonderland). like introducing the boys to the culture and stuff like that? thank you!!
YES OF COURSE!!!! I’m desi myself! We desperately need representation in anime/game spaces, these are just the ones I could think of one the spot, but I saw this request and it made my day!!
also fun fact: this blog was originally supposed to be centered around desi women, but I couldn’t keep up with that idea, this is such a lovely reminder!!
Warnings: Fluff, food, hair mentioned, ‘starting a family’ mention but no kids or anything, unapologetic cultural appreciation, desi families (positive), author calls the pale ones gora pakoras, rambling

He’s so blushy around you its crazy
Never did he think he could meet someone who he knows so well, who feels like home and warm welcomes
You two go on so many adventures
Jamil is so tired, let my man rest
Sometimes the cultural overlap is so prominent, especially in words and food items
Both of you adore a good lamb curry
You ever see that tikitok trend, the “I can’t date outside of my culture because how am I supposed to explain _______”
You both can relate to that one.
Something about you brings out the poet in him
(I have to stop eventually because this could just become it’s own post)
“You are my home, you are warmth and kindness packed into a beautiful human being.”
Vil Shoenheit

Especially paratha, it’s so buttery and rich, he’ll eat it with achaar
Your clothes always astound him
He’s used to glitz and glamour, but the sheer amount of detail in your outfits, that will leave him speechless
I believe he’d enjoy salwar kameez, especially in a more early 2000s way (think kabhi khushi kahbie gham)
Honestly he enjoys everything about desi fashion, he deeply respects you for wearing those HEAVY
Helps you oil your hair, it’s an extremely intimate moment and you grow a lot closer together
“Liebling, please hold still, I still have to get to the back of your head!”
Idia Shroud
(He’s Greek in my heart)
Idia is such a little loser/pos
He’s so nervous at any of your family gatherings, ortho has to hype him up before
He’s definitely the person at a desi house party who slips away after the food is served, literally gone
If he ever visits your country (in a different dimension lol) he might have a tough time
Homie is so sensitive to hot weather, he’s getting sunburned so hard
He gets so shy when you’re all dolled up, he can’t even look you in the eye
You just look so above his league
This is where you build his confidence, because he would look gorgeous in desi clothes
Him in a kurta is the thing that would actually kill me
Idia is obsessed with you, even if the time you spend together is spent inside his room, cuddled up watching anime or playing games instead of socializing
You probably get him into old bollywood movies
“I mean, we ate already, what’s the point of sticking around?”
Malleus Draconia
He’s a well educated person, so he probably keeps a respectful distance until you start educating him on your culture
Malleus deeply enjoys the sense of family in desi culture, the community that helps one another and keeps your head lifted
It reminds him of his own caring upbringing
He’s another appreciator of desi desserts, more modern ones tend to stick to him better, like mango ice cream
He is smitten with Rooh Afza in milk, even if he doesn’t need human drinks
He finds your cultural apparel so pretty
especially if you wear deeper colors like emerald and black
He really just wants to match
Really enjoys historical drama bollywood movies
Is the type to tell you when your chunni is slipping off, and carries extra safety pins to help with fashion mishaps
“I hope one day, our own family will be a beautiful as this.”
I’m so sorry for the bad dialogue, every time I try to think of something a character says, the voice in my head (inner monologue) turns into bob belcher from bob’s burgers. I will be trying my best to fix the flat dialogue with better nicknames and stuff. Thank you for reading.

"CRUSH ON BABY" (PART 3)
NOVEL: REI RAIRAKU (GORA) / ILLUSTRATION: HIROKO UTSUMI
TRANSLATION: NARU-KUN
* List of Chapters
All the songs Yozora made were lively and dynamic. He had the power to make you want to dance with him. At that time, Hibiki didn't have the technique to make the sound dance, but once he learned that technique, he wanted to make Yozora's sound dance with his own hands.
"It's definitely a lot of fun."
"Haa.", Yozora let out a stupid voice. It was a voice somewhere between a sigh and an exclamation.
"Well, yes. It's fine. Good luck."
He knew he wasn't serious, but that was enough for Hibiki.
"Because you promised me!"
Pointing at Yozora, Hibiki left the room, flushed with excitement. He felt an irresistible desire to quickly touch something that might make a sound.
"Hibiki-kun!"
When he stopped and turned around, Minase, who seemed to be chasing him, was looking at Hibiki.
"Strive you."
Unlike Yozora's voice telling him to let it go, Minase said it in a clear voice.
Hibiki was happy and nodded with a smile on his face.
After that, Hibiki asked his parents to let him go to piano lessons. He learned the basics, but classical music didn't come to his senses, so he started playing the guitar in high school.
He discovered that composing on the keyboard, playing the guitar and singing suited his style.
In high school, he joined the light music club, and Hibiki's band became so popular that they even had enthusiastic fans from other schools.
When he performed in live shows, his popularity increased even more, and Hibiki himself began to feel that he was moving people's emotions with his music.
From time to time, he would search for "Yozora's piano". Thanks to the rare name, Yozora was successful and he was able to learn the information on how to win the competition.
After graduating from high school, he took up band activities while working part-time. Although the band members changed several times, Hibiki continued to play his own music.
But at that moment, no matter how much he searched for it, he couldn't follow Yozora's news.
++++++++++
Currently, live performances of "Lonely Sleep" are held two to three times a month. Hibiki has a strong desire to sing in front of people and is not stingy.
The band's current sales alone are enough to earn a living at the moment, and they are at a crossroads as to which direction to turn the band's helm from now on.
Hibiki muttered to himself as he walked down the commercial street from the south exit with his guitar slung over his shoulder.
"Ah... I want to sing Yozora's song!"
No matter which way he walks, he wants to sing Yozora's song once. Still, he wasn't going to rush it. He jokingly said it many times, but he doesn't want to force him.
After ten years, he was able to find Yozora, whom he had no idea where or what he was doing, through Minase. Yozora, convinced that he would be a celebrity in ten years, gave up music and became a waiter, though he doesn't remember the promise he made to Hibiki. Even so, now, the paths of the three people who were there at the time crossed again, that little miracle warmed in his palm.
He saw a familiar figure standing in front of the live house. Regulars who often send long letters. A fan named Miike, whose face and name he has completely memorized.
Today there is also a concert of "Lonely Sleep" in that place. The venue will open after rehearsals, so it's too early for the audience to arrive, but he wondered if he was waiting to get in.
Hibiki didn't care and he kept walking.
"Good job."
He knew him well, so he raised his hand slightly and greeted him. Miike waved his hands, as if he suddenly had too much to do.
"Ah, eh, eh."
He was called and stopped his feet. When he turned his face, "What?", the behavior of both hands turned violent.
"It's about the song I sent you in the letter the other day..."
"Oh, thanks. But I can't sing it. Sing your own songs properly by yourself."
As Hibiki said that, Miike clutched the area around his stomach with his restless hands.
"...I heard that Hibiki wanted someone to write a song."
"It doesn't mean that anyone can do it. I want someone in particular to compose it. For a long time, I've been dreaming of playing a song that that person does."
Hearing Hibiki's words, a dark shadow passed over Miike's face. Hibiki saw that shadow as an emotion that could be classified as jealousy. For Hibiki, it was a familiar feeling. He has seen many times how he comes to mind when it comes to love and talent.
"I get it. Yes, I get it. Hibiki, if you want that sound, it can't be helped. I'll admit it."
There was a feeling that the conversation didn't fit well, but Hibiki tried to end the conversation. But before Hibiki could open his mouth, Miike called out "Hibiki." in a melancholy voice.
"..."God bless you, who was supposed to be someone, now you're nothing.". I felt that the lyrics that Hibiki's voice sang along with that melody could save my heart."
The lyrics Miike uttered are from a popular song called "Bless".
"I received a blessing from Hibiki. This time, I will give my blessing to Hibiki."
After saying that, he turned on his heel and left. Hibiki stared at his back.
"What do you mean?"
He thought he was a strange fan, but he had no idea what he was thinking, what he was convinced of and what he had decided.
Hibiki bowed his head and went down the stairs from the living room that led to the basement.
The band members were already at the venue and preparing their instruments. The atmosphere that was unique in live before the staff was busy working, and the tension that was unsatisfactory changed smoothly.
Hibiki likes to sing. He likes the feeling that the atmosphere in the place is created by the music and the customers resonating with the music.
Hibiki raised the corner of his mouth and jumped onto the stage.
He continued with the rehearsal while he uttered sounds according to the PA's instructions.
Just as he was singing the song "Bless" that Miike was talking about, he saw Minase in the audience.
Today he asked Minase to do his hair and makeup again, but it was too soon.
"What's up? It's really early, right?"
When he called him after a series of trials, Minase had a difficult expression on his face that was different from his usual easy-going smile.
"No, there's something I want to talk to you about, Hibiki."
"What?"
"Before this, remember we talked about the passionate fanatic the other day? He gave me a very long letter."
"Ah, Mike-kun."
Yasushi, who was next to him, interrupted as he took over the base again.
"Hey, that person was waiting for you to come today, right? Hibiki, were you able to talk?"
"Mmm. Yes, it was something like that. And...? What happened to that person?"
Minase looked towards the stage.
"At the last concert, I saw someone who looked just like him. Standing in front of the stage, he looked around the audience as if searching for something... At that moment, I had a vague sense of familiarity..."
"Eh? Did you recognize anyone?"
"I felt like I knew, but I couldn't remember and I was stuck. But just now, on a whim, I stopped by my parents' house and pulled out an old piano competition program. His name was Shuichi Miike. That's the name of the person who sent the fan letter, right?"
Hibiki widened his eyes.
"That is..."
"He's the same age as Yozora-kun and he used to play the piano. He's not an acquaintance of mine, and I've never talked to him, but I've seen him compete with Yozora-kun in competitions a few times. It was always Yozora-kun who won."
Hibiki remembered the dark shadow that fell on Miike's face when they spoke earlier. Emotions classified as jealousy.
He felt an unpleasant sensation creep up from his feet.
Hibiki took his cell phone out of his pocket. He called out to Yozora, but he didn't answer him.
"Eh?"
"When he approached me earlier, he said that he would give me a blessing. I thought I didn't fully understand so I ignored him, but... if he knows that Yozora is the person that I want him to do a song..."
The loud and unpleasant feeling crept to the top. Minase said:
"I'll go check on Yozora-kun."
"I'm going too!"
"But, Hibiki, you have a show now."
Hibiki turned around and looked at Yasushi.
"Sorry, Ya-san! I'm just going out for a bit!"
"Oh, hey..."
"I'll be right back!"
When he looked into Hibiki's eyes, his eyes burned, and the two of them kicked the ground at the same time and began to run.
Yozora stared at a photograph of a familiar person in a music magazine.
Preparations for the opening have already been completed. Today's garnish is prawn and mushroom garlic, and he also finished making the usual curry. The cleanup was completely finished, and he was killing time until he opened the store.
He bought the music magazine because it featured the group as a notable indie band. Hibiki in the photo sat there with serious eyes that contained sadness. He usually sees him with a nasty, frivolous smile, but he knows that he's not the only face he has.
When he listened to Hibiki's live performance, he could feel the seriousness with which he approached the music and how much he enjoyed it.
After perusing the article introducing Hibiki's music, he closed the magazine. He accidentally bought it, but it's obvious that if Hibiki sees it, he'll be teased again. He hid it at the back of the shelf, at the bottom where the magazines featuring Minase as a model were kept.
He heard that Hibiki would also be performing live today. Since live performances are usually held on Saturdays or Sundays, Yozora can't go see him often because he can't close the shop frequently during rush hour, but the music Hibiki and the others played at the concert in alive that he experienced last time still lingered in Yozora.
Yozora slid his finger over the bar counter. Tap-tap-tap, he moved his five fingers and tapped on the counter. There were black and white keyboards lined up on his head, and he moved his fingers as if he were playing imaginary keyboards.
Hibiki's music was in a different direction than Yozora's previous music, but he came up with several phrases that matched Hibiki's voice and atmosphere.
― No, I won't. I have stopped playing music. Hibiki says that I made him a promise, but I don't remember.
As he excused himself, the door to the bar opened.
There was still some time left until opening time. The front tag should still say "CLOSED", but since he was already ready to receive the guests, he didn't mind letting them in.
With that in mind, he said, "Welcome.".
He was a young man of twenty-five, dressed in a crisp white shirt and pants. When he walked in with his head down, he pointed to the counter and said, "Come in.". But he stayed there and didn't move.
"Customer?"
"I thought you had suddenly disappeared from the world of music, but you ended up in a place like this."
The young man said quietly.
"Eh?"
Shaking his body in confusion, the young man slowly raised his head.
"Don't you remember me? I guess I wasn't in your eyes at all."
When he confronted the young man, the memory of him bubbled back.
What he remembered was the appearance of wearing a formal suit for the stage. During the days when he spent every day with the piano, he had met this young man several times in contests. Saying that he didn't meet his eyes was pretty sharp, but really, even if he recognized his face, he almost never should have exchanged words with him. He didn't remember being talked to like that, so he frowned.
"If I remember correctly, you have participated in the same piano contest several times in the past. Your name is..."
The name did not come out. Seeing Yozora's face as he tried to trace his memories of him, the young man shrugged his shoulders and laughed darkly.
"My name is Shuichi Miike. I remember your name and face so strongly, but you know me only like you've seen me before. As expected of a genius. I wasn't even a match for you."
"Miike-kun, please stop involving yourself in weird ways. There should only be subtle points of contact that you couldn't even call known. You suddenly ran in, what the hell is going on?"
"You were always the one. Both for the competition judges and for Hibiki."
"Hibiki?"
Yozora frowned at the name that suddenly appeared.
"What are you talking about?"
"Hey, why are you working as a waiter?"
Miike's story had no context and didn't turn into a conversation. Yozora sighed and shook his chin.
"It has nothing to do with you. I'm sorry, but if you're not a guest, could you go home?"
"I heard that you suddenly dropped out of the university and disappeared. The up-and-coming pianist Yozora Kamijo, who was a student while he was performing, dropped everything and disappeared."
Miike entered the bar. Yozora involuntarily took a step back.

Talking the world setting of K
Quote from the DVD booklet(1st season vol.5) interview of Yashichro Takahashi.
>>Let me ask you the first impression when you heard about "K" project.
When I joined the project, it seemed fluffy and wasn't clear what would have started, I just thought that they tried to do some impossible work seriously. At the same time, I felt happy to be join this opportunity as a creator.
>>How did you feel when you met GoRA members first time?
I already knew Miyazawa-san and Suzuki-san each other because we are of the same generation, however that was the first time to work with. When we started working together, they spoke out candidly, that was interesting I felt. Like a business as an author, we don't have a chance to exchange some idea with somebody. So, in this team, I made my role as kind of facilitator to suggest helpful opinion which can be rejected.
>>In the process as like, "K" was created, what the parts did you suggest actually?
I did nothing in main plot (lol). First of all, "K" was suggested by Miyazawa-san with targeting its theme as "Community", story setting in "near future in Japanese style", motif as "King and his vassal" etc., we put flesh on it and created. Even after script writing, same as like this, Miyazawa-san threw us some crazy idea and we discussed "How do we make it work in the story?", "To make the storyline to this, it can be like this...", then filled the gap or digested into the storyline.
>>We just imagine Takahashi-san is the author who create a world with detail view as "Shakugan no Shana"*, and also we think you suggested when created a concept in "K", right?
Yes, I undertook the history of Dresden Slate, structure between King and Clansman, around there. Nobody of GoRA members were going to take the story setting down for a long time, so I became very anxious and wrote. As Furuhashi-san told, they made the story in ambiguity until #7, I rushed to summarize common point of view they set by then and suggested them to add and summarize setting points of the story. But, still nobody sum up without Furuhashi-san. Well, including non-written parts in the main story, I supported minimum rule of what the "K" world is.
>> Which character profile did you created?
Regarding their past of Kokujoji and Weismann, considerably I did. Especially, I submitted all of basic profile of Kokujoji. Decided his name improvise, I think his setting would become pretty interesting. I requested to producing team that Mr. Shozo Iizuka for Kokujoji's voice acting. I never thought it would come true, said whatever I want, now I feel sorry that got it realized (lol).
>>Only the past setting regarding Weismann?
Weismann's profile was originally made by Miyazawa-san, I remember he proposed "Let make him crazy character like ~" in beginning period. After that, all of member denied it turn by turn (lol), argued like "This is better for it ~"etc., then fixed into present profile. I created the part why Kokujoji and Weismann became their relationship as depicted in the main story.
>>What the fascinating parts do you think in "K"'s world setting?
Good point I think is an audience can understand its setting by following the story of each characters. Only come and go within few cities where familiar with trough the story, it alright that an audience do not need to grasp detail of all stages, also those settings are just details and do not request of deep consideration to watch. The strongest one with superhuman power is a "King", other fellows are "Clansmen", a source of their power is "the Slate", to recognize only these will be understandable this content. This story setting is exaggerated, many psychics appear, but its throughout structure is minimum.
>>Many characters come forth, frankly, who is your favorite?
Needless to say, Kokujoji and Weismann (lol). I brought together my favorite personality in them rather than I was deeply in charge of creating their profiles, naturally. Of cause there are many character I like.
>>What the point of your favorite in Kokujoji?
Simply tough, his notable past, importance of his existence for the story frame, and so on. 10min or less that he appeared in the animation, depicted as observing from the edge he is, however this is something emotional arousal point that we can say as "this world was composed by his presence, who knows" (lol). The idea of floating stars was suggested from Furuhashi-san or Miyazawa-san, I'm not sure.
>> I see. How about Weismann?
In a nutshell, he is a trickster. #8 which I scripted, he blew up by own. He was a weird, has been described like a mastermind, but suddenly reversed its role. He is a fulcrum for turning over the storyline. Such as "scratch around" character could be his attractive point.
>>Were there any points to be conscious or to take care when you scripted #8?
Requests from Miyazawa-san were "describe the character attractive" and "insert something be interesting or exciting". So I wrote the scene of explosion just before reaching to the crux of their incident. Put this ending, then composed tactics and chasing scenes for intriguing, action drama for excitement which I prefer.
>>We impressed Munakata's efficiency as an organizer.
As Furuhashi-san told, in #7 he pushed out the strength of Munakata as a psychic, so I intended to push out how is Munakata efficient as a head of his organization. I described it in the scenes through their conversation with Shiro or with his subordinates, giving a order of restrain A.K.Weismann to subordinates when he noted aberration of the airship. Those could be figured out he gave some direction as a leader instead of doing by himself.
>> Where is the highlight?
The scenes of dispatching cool helicopters, and Munakata's tea room (lol). Their communication in silence, atmosphere of Blue team makes me feel interesting.
>>Have you ever written a script for animation?
I've experiences of writing for CD drama and game. Also I've done a direction work for animation on my novel, accustomed to the format of animation script.
>>What is the difference on writing between a scenario and a novel?
Length problem, anyway. We have a tendency to add its description in detail, however on animation writing will not allow it. I've learnt as neither in time, nor be formed. In addition, we have to compromise between actual visualization in animation work and our imagination in our head. In novel, for example, if we write as "million army with disjointed armaments" in text easily, but it will impossible to make movable them in animation. In middle term on scenario writing, we received the advise from the director as "We have a limit of capacity to set actual movement on characters, so please downsize". As novel writer, having a value to describe what we can write, we felt eye-opening matter that was. But finally the director made their effort to move characters in Blue or Red teams who were called mobs. Dryly depicted the members' individuality not only their action but their positioning, it may be interesting point to watch.
>>It might be a new trial that seven authors gathering and work with, how did you feel after you experienced?
This system consign a decision to the person who have close feeling of layer which we are targeting**, those persons are namely Rairaku-san and Kabei-san. Ordinally in this case, authors might get into a trouble who will going to take the lead, but we weren't. It may be the reason for sharing the roles as leader or as decision makers to different member. I'm quite interesting in this composing system, wish to see the efficient until the end.
>> Furuhashi-san said as like, Takahashi-san also feel interest in systematic aspect, do you?
Regarding as system, yes. But also as an author, I feel fun in creating process that everybody mix their ideas and make them into one figure.
>>How did you feel after watching the animation finished up?
If the sales wouldn't be increased, I feel beyond help rather than perplex. It is not good impression on word 'sales', but we set the target who will watch the content explicitly, took conceivable measures for it. Evaluation from the target means success, if our work will be evaluated, we feel happy as creators.
>>From male's point of view, this content also seems attractive.
Suoh seems actually cool from male side. And, like as Awashima's heaping helping of red bean paste in the turn I've scripted, by breaking serious aspect of characters down and rendering to make fun may be acceptable for anyone. Through the season, only Anna and Suoh haven't been broken, I think. After read the novel***, even Anna's character wasn't broken, we feel relieved that "Anna became to spend her normal life". (lol)
>> Please give a message to "K" fans.
I think this content has wide range and many ways to enjoy with the animation which the production staff finished in high quality. You can enjoy the way what you want, think as materials on your cooking, that is our satisfaction.

Hey, Ridia. I hope you’re doing well. Some days ago you mentioned something in one of your answers that made me wonder something. You said that Fushimi hates happy people, which makes sense to me. Now I have an OC who at the beginning of my fic was very smiley, cheerful and full of life so I could see Fushimi hating her (also jealousy because Yata also loved the way she was). However, after Totsuka and Mikoto’s deaths, she loses most of her energy and isn’t as happy as she used to be. Do you think it’s possible for the two of them to get along then because she would want to for Yata? Also, I also saw you recently mention that Mikoto dyes his hair in a more recent ask. Do you know from where that information comes because I’d like to read about it?
Fushimi hates happy people but he also hates people who have a full spectrum of emotion so he would still hate her :P No, wait, I’m kidding (or am I) — I think it would be a more complex thing that’s hard to say for sure since I’ve only got the basic outline of your OC, Fushimi deals with different people in different ways. Like assuming she was in Homra when he was I think Fushimi would find her irritating just from what you’ve said, since she’s likely an energetic positive person and Fushimi is already predisposed to dislike most of Homra for various reasons anyway. Particularly if Yata gets on well with her I think that would make him even more irritated, like why is this bright person clinging to Misaki and why does Yata like it (and I could see some of his own insecurities here too, like similar to how he dislikes Mikoto because he feels like Mikoto is someone he can’t surpass, having Yata be close to someone who is bright and positive when Fushimi could never be that way himself just reminds him of how messed up he is and how he could never be like this person either).
Post-S1 I feel like he just wouldn’t think about her at all, like even if she’s become more gloomy he has no attachment to her so he likely wouldn’t even notice her change in demeanor, he’s not really paying any attention to the Homra alphabet either. If she tried to proactively befriend him I think he would still dislike her, Fushimi’s not interested in making friends at that point and her personality isn’t really the issue there, it’s more Fushimi himself not wanting to get closer to anyone else. If they were going to get along eventually I’d see it as more of a post-ROK thing when Fushimi’s reconciled with Yata, like if Yata is friends with her and wants Fushimi to be too I think he’d at least give her a chance for Yata’s sake. I don’t know if they’d ever be able to become close or anything, with Fushimi being so standoffish with people in general, but I think he’d at least tolerate her more at that point and it could eventually turn into a friendship, now that Fushimi’s more willing to actually try and let people in rather than knee jerk hating everyone.
(As for the Mikoto question…that was a comment made by Gora during a Q&A once that was reported on Twitter. They’ve never to my knowledge really mentioned it before or since and they didn’t say what color he was originally, which is why I decided he’s a secret platinum blond because I thought that option is funniest XD)

Attack on Titan | Shingeki no Kyoujin Barista! Jean x Student! Reader Coffee Shop AU—fluff, angst Prompt: "clearly you're going through a bad breakup because this playlist is the most depressing thing I've ever heard and I'm begging you, please, change it." Part II

Never had you wanted to murder a manager for hiring a certain employee—one of your friends, at that—than you did right now when the trumpet notes hit your ear for the umpteenth time tonight. This time, it was a metal cover but the same song. Who in the name of Pytha-fucking-gora’s had decided to leave Jean Kirstein in-charge of music, especially when the guy had just broken up?
You came to the café in order to get away from your roommate who had coincidentally also broken up with her boyfriend. You’d expected Jean to be there, knowing it was time for his shift, and you had expected a few angsty tunes—maybe even a whole playlist. That, you could’ve lived with. What you couldn’t stand was every existing cover of Careless Whisper in the background when you have a date with trigonometry and calculus first thing in the morning tomorrow.
Your third venti Turkish coffee was placed on the counter and you wasted no time in grabbing Jean’s hand. From what he had told you, it was a mutual break-up; neither of them was happy with the other so it made sense that they parted ways. Yet Jean was here sulking like he’d been dumped by the love of his life instead. Any other day you would have overlooked it and let him do as he pleased even if seeing him practically grieve over someone else cracked your heart the tiniest bit. However, not today. Because, indeed, time could never mend the carelessness because this was your final test. If you screwed this up, you could kiss your degree goodbye.
“Clearly, you’re going through a bad breakup because this playlist is the most depressing thing I’ve ever heard, and I’m begging you, please, change it.” You pleaded, meeting Jean’s sullen eyes with a plea in your own. He nodded, pulling his hand away from yours as he shuffled away and changed the song to yet another cover of Careless Whisper; this time the Boyce Avenue cover. You nearly burst, furiously swallowing the sip you had meant to test the coffee’s temperature with.
“Jean!”
“What? You told me to change the song—”
“Yes, the song.” You emphasize, dropping your pencil and not bothering to pick it up, “Like, the actual song, not the cover. I can’t really focus here so, please.”
“Why? Who’d you break up with?”
“Jean, I’m going to break up with my goddamn degree if I cannot study for this test.”
Grimace tugging on his lips, Jean complied with your request and you thanked him, continuing to study late into the night until it was near closing time.
You waited for Jean; there was an itch in you to make sure he was doing alright. He found you by the back exit you knew he took on his way home, offering you a small smile as the two of you fell into a silent walk. Jean had taken the road to your place, you noticed, and it made you somewhat glad because it was further than his.
“Got nothing to say tonight, Kirstein? Cat got your tongue?” You muttered; your voice without any humour in it. You rounded the corner, Jean meeting your eyes with a dry chuckle; it was the kind that widened the crack in your heart.
In silence, he walked you all the way to your apartment where you decided to break the seal on your lips.
“If it helps at all...” You muttered, fighting the blush that was rising to your cheeks. At least it was cold and you could use that as an excuse. Part of you wished for him to be dense enough to take your words platonically, the other wished he saw through it. Regardless, like your tongue had a mind of its own, you said it, “I like you. A lot.”
Jean paused at your doorstep; you did too. You bit your lower lip, nerves tingling as he stared at you. Had you meant it as a friend, or something more, Jean wasn’t sure. He couldn’t tell which he’d prefer either.
When a car whizzed past the two of you, a gush of wind following, you broke out of your reverie and hesitantly took a step closer to him. He watched you, puzzled as you cradled his face in your palm, squishing his cheeks like you had so many times before. He said nothing as you press a kiss to his cheek and step away with the darkest blush he had ever seen on you.
Several beats of silence passed between you and you were sure you made a mistake. Jean, on the other hand, was trying to read this right. He found he wanted it to mean more than something platonic. When the last ounce of your patience had run out, you turned away to take shelter in your apartment. As you fished out your keys in a hurry, Jean called after you.
Freezing, you looked over your shoulder at him fidgetting with his own fingers as a blush came to his cheeks. Maybe you hadn’t made a mistake...
“We can, um, go out? On Sunday? I-If you’re free, of course.” Jean muttered, hating the way his voice grew smaller and smaller. Why couldn’t he be as bold as you?
“Pick me up around six, then?”
The last time you had seen Jean’s face split in a smile like that was when he finally beat Eren in a fight. He beamed at you and nodded his head so hard, you almost feared he’d throw it off his own shoulders. That was until he replied with a rather loud, “I will, I will!”
Well, maybe speaking your mind was the best thing you could have done.

Halue! Ok so I already post this on my stories and dump account pero syempre tumblr was the main deal kasi unfiltered dito sksks! Okay let’s start! So supposedly Karl was going to accomplished their clearance sa school and since punta siya, I decided to na rin para asikasuhin yung diploma ko smh, pero ayun hindi na natuloy kasi may nagpasa na daw, we do invited Aki and El manood ng UAAP which is very impulsive decision kasi dapat sa finals pa kami manonood talaga. Dumating si Karl around 9:30 or 10 sa bahay so ayun quality time and the rest is history lmao
Fast forward, hapon na and hindi natuloy yung dalawa pero we decided na manood pa din ng game kasi I know how much Karl is invested sa Volleyball, he’s known for being a varsity before kaya ayun kahit wala sa budget gora pa din! Gen Ad lang dapat yung bibilhin pero nag upgrade kami to Upper Box kaloka haha pero for the view naman ito!
No words can express kung paano ko maexplain yung araw kasi hindi talaga ako palanood ng sports kasi hindi ko siya hilig and all but I do appreciate when watching one! Gusto ko yung kaba and hype when you’re supporting your team! And super happy ako kasi I know Karl was happy too! I mean seeing your man happy di ba? Hays kaya ayun document lang ako ng document kasi this is also my first time watching UAAP tapos ayun kasama pa si Karl!
At this point haha tapos na yung game, and para di hassle for Karl, I proposed na mag PITX na so that yung bus na sasakyan namin ay rekta mendez na din. Habang andun sa libreng sakay, nag chat si Earl kay Karl, and yes it was the same GIF I sent to him when I heard yung news before nung shs about him and El. Very sentimental kasi ako and I don’t have plans ruining the day pero Im not fully healed sa naging ganaps namin these past few weeks. Karl is giving me assurance sa words and all pero yeah it’s a me problem. Maybe I’ll conquer this one soon and eventually will moved on from it!
Anyways, it was such a fun day! I love you Karl! Forever and Always I hope you had fun too! Kahit medyo naoff ako kagabi talaga huhuhu Im sorry toooo

Some old(ish) art of middle school/Homra Fushimi (it's based off a Homra Fushimi picture but he also seems too happy?)
It's also the first time I created digital art ever and the sketch wasn't really made to be transferred easily, so please be gentle 🥺🙏

Facts & Trivia || Mikoto Suoh
The following is part of a series of posts made by me. The information listed is official canon provided by GoRa. Sources will go from the anime, to mangas and novels as well as official short stories. These are NOT fanmade headcanons. The purpose of these posts is to provide useful information for fans as well as roleplayers looking for confirmed lore for their muses. Please do not reply to argue with me about what you read here. I did not come up with this stuff myself. GoRa did. I’ll come back to edit these as I find more info.
Tumblr media
Born on August 13, 1988 (The same year as Reisi Munakata and Nagare Hisui).
He goes by the philosophy of life of “Do what you want.”
Became Red King in 2007 at the age of 19 and leader/co-founder of Homra shortly after.
He is nicknamed “King” by Totsuka, and called simply “Mikoto” by Kusanagi and Anna. To everyone else in Homra, he is referred to as “Mikoto-san”. Munakata calls him by his last name without honorifics, and Suoh returns the courtesy.
Also known as the “Red Monster” in Shizume City. A legend spread around town about him says he has demon-like abilities, that incinerate or grant special powers to people worthy.
His Installation ritual consists of taking his hand while engulfed in the flames of his power. Those brave enough to take it are briefly enveloped in flames and will either absorb the aura and receive a mark on their skin, or be scorched by the fire.
Suoh doesn’t care about choosing who joins Homra, and will put to the test anyone who asks to try. He never asks people to become members himself.
A noteworthy exception was when he gave Eric his installation by grabbing his head, making him his final clansman.
Heavy smoker and drinker.
His favorite cigarette brand is Marlboro.
His favorite drink is Bourbon, the Wild Turkey brand (thanks @crmsnking!)
His aura protects him by burning and melting anything that comes his way, including bullets.
He’s very quiet and doesn’t like long conversations. Most times he’ll respond with single words or even just grunts.
He’s a heavy sleeper, and takes a lot of naps. This might be a reference to his lion image, as lions often spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping. He can sleep pretty much anywhere.
He sleeps with a tanktop and long slacks.
He likes to keep his cigarettes right next to his pillow when sleeping, along with an ashtray.
It’s a bad idea to wake him up abruptly. If caught in a daze, Suoh might accidentally unleash his power and burn anyone nearby.
Kusanagi seems the be the only person Suoh is actually afraid of, going as far as apologizing with his head low when scolded by him for breaking things around the bar.
He often has nightmares involving his power taking over and burning everything. Though if asked he’ll deny it.
He’s often forgetful. It can take him a while for him to remember even some of his own clansmen if they aren’t particularly close to him.
He isn’t good at picking names. When Anna asked to name their new horse, he called it “Basashi” (raw horse meat) just because it made him hungry.
Though he’s obviously fond of Totsuka, he has a habit of hitting him on the head when he does something stupid.
He is actually rather perceptive. Suoh claims he was able to sense Eric’s murderous intent before he joined Homra. He also was able to sense Basashi was a strain just by standing next to it.
He isn’t happy of his status of King and really doesn’t want to be one. Even though the leader of Homra, he prefers to go ahead on his own, letting his clansmen choose whether to follow him or not.
Though Suoh generally does what he wants, he shows to be quite a pushover with people he likes. An example are Kusanagi, Totsuka and Anna, who can get Suoh to comply to their requests most of the time.
As an example, he took Anna on a date even though he disliked the idea, just because she admitted to wanting to go on one.
He has read “Alice in Wonderland” to Anna. Munakata happened to witness this.
He appears to have no real sense of boundaries, grabbing Anna and handling her like a doll without any hesitation.
As a teenager he was pretty dense and reckless, throwing himself off a cliff with a bike and carelessly letting himself be caught peeking on his undressing teacher without any concern.
According to Kusanagi, Suoh was feared by others for his violence as early as middle school.
He doesn’t seem to have much awareness of his own strength, playing violently and putting excessive strength in anything he does. He has broken Totsuka’s camera just by touching it (Suoh was very worried that Totsuka would be upset too).
Because of this he’s always given a big handicap when playing games with other Homra members.
He also has little consideration for social etiquette, attempting to break an arcade machine just because it looked easier to get a prize that way rather than playing.
Speaking of which, Suoh is terrible at any and all games that require more than brutal strength (like the claw machine).
Likes strawberries. In high school he was often seen drinking strawberry milk.
He doesn’t eat with tableware unless forced, because it’s too troublesome.
For the same reason, he will rather cook with his powers, crushing vegetables and frying eggs with his hands, instead of using the kitchen.
Amongst the things he doesn’t care about is what he eats. He has been observed eating a single, whole bread baguette for breakfast. When going to eat out, he often asks other people to choose for him.
Seems to have a rather short attention span for mundane things and even some out of the norm. He never seems to notice Kamamoto losing weight in the summer.
His body temperature is always warm or outright hot. Ice creams will melt in his hand very quickly.
Suoh doesn’t seem to really care for honor. He’s uninterested in Homra or himself gaining a reputation, whether good or bad, and generally doesn’t let insults provoke him.
However he can still show a low patience for other things. For example he will quickly get tired of things such as negotiations or chatter and want to get into battle.
He often looks very scary from the outside to commoners, without him realizing. He has terrified an arcade manager by marching up to him asking about bloody games.
Because of his appearance, he’s often mistaken for a Yakuza member.
Little kids seem to like him however.
Animals are always scared of Mikoto, and will submit to him immediately.
Allegedly, Reisi Munakata is the only one able to make Suoh angry in any way (though Totsuka’s antics have mildly annoyed him at times and it’s safe to say the Colorless King was able to at least upset Suoh by killing Totsuka).
The gangs of Shizume City that have been defeated by Homra treat Suoh with fear and respect, bowing to him whenever they see him.
When Totsuka passed away, Suoh took his ear piercing to wear. The earring was hollow and Suoh filled it with Totsuka’s blood from his wound.
He used his power to burn Totsuka’s casket.

Justice for Awashima Seri
One of my latest posts made me want to re-watch K Project Return of Kings, especially Scepter 4 segment. And damn, there are so many things that happened to Awashima and frankly she didn’t deserve it. I’m not talking about GoRa’s overly disgusting fanservice attempts on Seri, although that’s indeed something that must be protested. I’m talking about how she was kept in dark by her two megane colleagues (mainly Munakata) even though she’s Second in Command of Scepter 4 and someone who has been working besides them for years. After I finished rewatching..... wow it’s worse than I remembered. My heart truly breaks for Seri, and I’m super glad that in the end she got her happy ending (by punching Munakata’s face). Like first, we know how worried she was about Munakata’s state, and after Reisaru’s fight in episode 8, Seri was so worried about Fushimi’s wellbeing and his bedding. Then at the very beginning of her role in episode 9, we have this :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For almost anyone besides Seri, maybe they will not think too much about the fact that they can’t understand what the hell are on Munakata and Fushimi’s heads, after all they’re not the easiest people to understand. But for Seri, it’s quite a new unpleasant territory for her. There’s a reason why she’s the Second in Command after Munakata, why she can easily command the rebel Fushimi without many protests from the said rebel, and why she can work alongside cryptic geniuses like Munakata and Fushimi. From R:B novel, we know that she’s an all-round achiever, but one of her main virtue is she’s goddamn observant. She more or less can understand Munakata’s unique mindset, and she mostly can see right through Fushimi’s bullshit. She more often can hit ‘100 point mark’ regarding the enigmatic Munakata and the ‘absolute tsundere’ Fushimi than any other human being except each other. Like on Munakata’s case, we have this :
Yoshino continued. “An ordinary man would have an interest in nude females, I think, but this is the Captain we’re talking about… How is it for him, what do you think?” She looked up at Awashima.
Awashima’s lips curved into a stiff smile as she took her time to think.
Then she drew a breath and, “I haven’t given that subject a thought until now. But well, if I had to answer…” She shook her head. “This is what I think: in the Captain’s case, it’s entirely possible that never once in his life he has so much as opened that kind of magazines or, alternatively, stores an entire thousand book collection of obscene materials in his room, and I won’t be surprised in the least in either case. Would this suffice as an answer?” Munakata Reishi’s right hand woman and Lieutenant, Awashima Seri, said with an even more strained smile.
Case Files of Blue Chapter 1 (and looking at how eager Munakata asked Hidaka to show his collection, suffice to say that Awashima is absolutely correct about her answer).
Awashima: But, well, for the Captain it’s probably of equal value. Fushimi: Of equal value? What is? Awashima: Protecting this country’s peace and fulfilling his promise to a kindergartener.
Optician Drama CD
And on Fushimi’s case :
“…It might not be a misunderstanding, you know. What if I were in cahoots with Homura?” he retorted, lips pursed.
For a moment, Awashima’s eyes widened slightly before narrowing to slits as she humphed letting a slight smirk tug on her lips. “Suppose there really is a traitor who’s trembling while covered in cold sweat; I’d say at the very least it’s safe to assume he’s not switching sides because he likes it. It’s time for your report. The materials are ready, I hope?”
The King and The Traitor
“It’s hard to call realistic, I have to agree with you on that. And on the off chance that it indeed is a strain’s doing, there is hardly any ground to claim harm sustained from the act. It’s the rainy season, after all. So I do find the idea of wasting time and manpower on investigating this possibility unreasonable, especially considering that we hardly have any to spare, but… if it’s an order from my superior officer, I will look into it though?”
It was said curtly and emotionlessly, but Awashima let out a little chuckle, hearing Fushimi’s answer. “Then look into it for me. Since like me, my competent and capable subordinate, too, seems to be concerned with this matter.”
Endless Rain
Also in anime, she noticed Yata’s worry for Mikoto and informed him about Mikoto’s condition to calm him. After breaking Sarumi’s fight, instead of asking apology, she demanded Fushimi to show her the result of his investigation, knowing full well that Fushimi already did some digging before he confronted Yata. She made the remark about only a King can attract another King. Heck, she already deduced that the reason why Munakata kept Zenjou-san on Scepter 4 is to kill Munakata one day, even though Munakata understandably never told anyone about it. During ROK, I kinda got feeling like Munakata and Fushimi were purposely ‘ghosting’ her, but looking at how observant she is, it’s quite understandable why Munakata and Fushimi kept Awashima in the dark to preserve their secret mission (still jerk move for them though).
I think that’s one of the reason why Fushimi gave the hint about his secret mission only to Yata. Not only Yata is his best friend, but he also can count on Yata’s insensitiveness, having been the victim first-hand in the past. Like, Fushimi who is surprisingly responsible and dutiful for his job maybe thought “it’s fine to give Misaki a hint, it’s not like he can pick it up anyway”, so he can feel ‘less guilty’ for endangering the secrecy of his mission. Not that he’s wrong though, I mean Yata you’re a good guy but I have to say you really have a fine thick-head for not noticing and still saying that Fushimi betrayed the Blues, Fushimi jumped from sinking ship after Fushimi uttered such a vague sentence and after knowing that Fushimi secretly asked your brother to quit Jungle. Thank God Munakata gave him clear explanation later. Instead for Awashima, she only got this :
Tumblr media
In that brief moment of silence, Fushimi let Awashima knew 3 things :
1. He joined Green clan and willing to attack his ‘former’ clansmen for them.
2. Not only joined Green clan, but he’s now one of J-ranker of Jungle. You know, the true Green clansmen, the one they have to be most cautious like Sukuna and Yukari.
3. He allied with one of Green clansman who participated on Anna’s kidnapping and former Scepter 4′s prisoner.
And he didn’t give Awashima and Kusanagi anything except complete silence and green-laced knife-throwing. Mission accomplished! The monkey succeeds on fooling the strong-willed and observant Lieutenant of Scepter 4. Just like the phrase “To fool your enemy, fool your friends”, there’s no way Awashima can perceive that except as complete betrayal. Haha.
Tumblr media
(Truly, Fushimi was so good at executing his job. Too good, actually).
Then, after that shocking revelation that can shake someone’s mentality, she still had duty to report it toward her superior. Look at her reaction after Munakata said things about biting the giver’s hand.
Tumblr media
(OMG watching that scene after knowing about Fushimi and Munakata’s secret mission made me truly itch to punch a certain King’s beautiful sparkly face).
She blamed herself for failing to look after Fushimi. I read some posts about Fushimi’s betrayal speculation before ROK episode 11 was aired, those who predicted that Fushimi joined Green for real, almost all expected Yata to stop Fushimi and made him go back to Scepter 4 (or Homra). While I understand the potential Sarumi heartbreaking angst and their another flashy fighting scene, I can’t help but think, can Yata do it? Not that I doubt strong bond between them, but Yata and Fushimi are equal in power. Okay, Yata is stronger in raw power, but Fushimi proved himself can accommodate his power effectively to match Yata. We know from their fight in Ashinaka Gakuen that Fushimi’s dual-color status can pass Yata’s defense, just like an attack can pass the defense from the same aura. Then Fushimi got his Green Aura. I didn’t say that Yata surely would lose to Fushimi on that situation, but it’s understandable if he lost and no one will blame him. But Seri? She’s canonly stronger than Fushimi, she’s usually can keep Fushimi on check in Scepter 4 and Seri is his direct superior after Munakata. I think if indeed Fushimi joined Green clan, the ones that have a chance to win battling him are Seri, Kusanagi, Kuro, and Kings. I can see Awashima blamed herself for failing to stop Fushimi and wanted to compensate for that failure by bringing Fushimi back to Scepter 4.
So, as if that burden is not heavy enough, Munakata brought Zenjou to his side and Awashima, who already worried about Munakata’s safety for a whole season and more, got an honor to watch on front seat as this happened :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her King had a sword pointed toward his neck, but Awashima wasn’t fast enough to even touch her saber. Munakata’s Second in Command, who just realized that preventing her King’s Damocles Down is her responsibility, was shown the fact that she was not fast enough in comparison with Zenjou. Just, let’s imagine some time between episode 9 and 11 Seri looked at her saber, lamented at the fact that she failed to stop Fushimi and she was not fast enough to fulfil her most hurtful responsibility. Imagine Seri tried to get a hold of herself, readied herself to point her sword toward her closest comrades.
Of course her torment didn’t end there. The Quack Prime Minister fired Munakata from his duty, removed him from Scepter 4. And Munakata, wordlessly, without giving any words or announcements toward his clansmen...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(SERIOUSLY GIVE HER A BREAK! MUNAKATAAAAA!!!!)
I feel like that scene is the peak of Munakata’s “ghosting” toward Awashima. Not to mention, her (and Scepter 4) next order is :
Tumblr media
(Help! My poor clueless ducklings are trapped while their genius jerk megane superiors are carelessly walking toward suicide plans!).
Honorary mention for the rest of poor lost ducklings :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes, Munakata, you can’t just leave without any words toward your clansmen. Especially when you literally walked toward your death).
Tumblr media
(BTW the meaning of “one unthinkable thing happening after another” is Fushimi’s betrayal followed by Munakata’s resignation. Little appreciation that they thought Fushimi’s betrayal is “unthinkable thing” even though the fact that Fushimi’s status as Homra’s “traitor” is widely known in Scepter 4).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Zenjou-san and the rest of Scepter 4 are not amused by your secret plan shenanigans, Munakata and Fushimi. Zenjou thought that those jerks truly ruin meganes’ reputation. Unbeknown to him, Enomoto thought the same).
Well, we know what happened after this. Seri and the rest of Special Squad got their first clue about what the heck is happened from a freaking TV, they rushed toward their King, the show was shifted to Silvers and Reds and NO SCEPTER 4 REUNION OR SETTLEMENT EVEN THOUGHT GORA CRAFTED SUCH A BIG AND COMPLEX CONFLICT IN SCEPTER 4.
Well, at least Seri got to punch Munakata in the face, even though in my opinion she truly deserved more after all the shits she had been through.

From now on (Enmoto)
also available on ao3 :)
Yumoto was sad. Like really sad.
Actually, maybe it was more empty. Anyway, he wasn't the kind of person to ponder about the proper name of his feelings. To sum up the situation, he wanted to cuddle. Now that Wombat was gone and that the third years were at college, he felt incredibly lonely.
The Defense Club hadn't recruited any new member, obviously, but they hadn't been forced to leave the club room thanks to Akoya who still was in the Students Council. However Io and Ryuu didn't come as often as they used to, so most of the time the club room was empty.
And Yumoto didn't get to cuddle anyone.
So he would just go home to help his brother at the baths, sighing so often that Gora would glance at him worryingly all the time. That was his daily life.
“You don't seem happy to see us.”
Yumoto stood up suddenly, embarrassed that he hadn't seen the customers sooner. However he smiled when he recognized them.
“Senpai!”
En and Atsushi smiled at him while Arima and Kinshirou simply nodded politely.
“It's been a while, Yumoto.” Atsushi said. Arima was already taking off his shirt, Kinshirou stayed next to Atsushi and En... Well, he couldn't really move as Yumoto was hugging him, his arms around his waist and his head against his chest.
“I missed you so much, senpai~”
“Are you just talking about En-chan?”
“Atsushi-senpai do you want a hug too?!”
“Let's get into the bath.” Kinshirou interrupted them, pulling Atsushi's sleeve while Arima laughed at his reaction.
Yumoto's favourite days were when these four came to the Kurotama baths. It was rare, but he was glad they hadn't forgotten about him. The first time they had come, Yumoto had run to hug Atsushi. He knew that En didn't like cuddling and he hadn't known Arima and Kinshirou that well. However, after that, Kinshirou had glared at him the whole time and he had ignored his messages for an entire month. So he had understood that Atsushi was off-limits. That was why he had begun to hug En.
At first he had been reluctant, but they all knew how sad Yumoto had been since Wombat's departure. So here he was, forced to hug his friend each time they came to visit him.
Well, he had to admit that Yumoto was really good at cuddling. That and his smile was really heartwarming, En thought while patting his head.

Novel III Summary  (Chapters 4-6(end))
DISCLAIMER: I Used google translate’s photo scanner, so these will not be 100% correct, but I didn’t have TOO MUCH trouble using it/understanding what it was trying to say. (I forgot to mark where the final chapter started so uhhh)
Started this bc last night @the-hebrew-impact-frame really wanted to know more and I own all three novels, so why not!
(Starts at chapter 4)
Wombat has told Gora about the monster and all that has happened. Yumoto feels super sad for his “Special close friends”
Gora and Wombat are working together to find Yumoto, and for the first time ever, Gora has closed the bathhouse temporarily. They’re looking everywhere for him, including the city itself.
Gora says something along the lines of not knowing Yumoto as much as he thought he did.
Wombat asks what Gora means and they start talking about how sad Gora looks. Gora then says that he doesn’t know why he’s running around the city like this, and that to be honest, he can’t think of a place where Yumoto is likely to run off to.
Wombat then says “Then ask yourself, isn’t there enough love?”
To which Wombat then apparently denies and asks Gora if he thinks Yumoto’s stories are just rambling to him, or just elusive. Gora doesn’t say yes to this, nor shake his head. Wombat then says to not blame himself for it.
Gora tells Wombat that Yumoto always talked and seemed very happy.
Wombat says that he feels a deep love for Gora when he listens to Yumoto’s stories. Then says they need to search more and say they should check the school.
The duo go there and Gora keeps bringing up about how he keeps repeat asking himself if he didn’t have enough love, and Wombat keeps denying it and tells Gora to stop blaming himself.
They keep talking and remember “OH! We need to find Yumoto!” (They bring this up almost EVERY PAGE)
They go to the clubroom, then the monster attacks. They run to the cafeteria (Gora almost gets hit). They still don’t find Yumoto.
They leave and eventually Aki sees Gora and they start talking, and the narrator says (Pretty sure this is Dadacha’s POV), “Honestly, I don’t care about Yumoto Hakone, rather Akihiko, thinks it’s convenient for him to disappear” BUT They would NEVER tell Gora that unless he’d ask. Gora then tells the twins that they “look better together” than separate
The twins say they’ll look for Yumoto but Wombat mentions how they didn’t even bother. Wombat thinks about Yumoto and says it makes his heart hurt slightly.
Meanwhile Gora and Wombat were still searching for Yumoto (WOW YES).
Then Wombat spots En sitting at a children’s park.
En is confused about Yumoto being missing and says “Doesn’t he love Gora and the bathhouse too much?”
Gora then says this to En: “Yufuin-san is an old man, but he’s fun and like a father. He’s tall, and he says it’s funny because he’s a couple with Kinugawa-kun.” Now I’m not sure if this is how Yumoto described En to Gora but, it’s funny none-the-less.
Wombat/the narrator “Yufuin was a little shocked, but he could imagine the appearance of Yufuin talking to Gora so happily while pouring rice.”
This causes En to think “Dad? Am I like a dad?” even though he thinks of himself more as a big brother to Yumoto. Then En thinks that he also knew little what Yumoto was ever thinking about and says that “Maybe I’m only looking at his surface.”
Then this brings back up the bathhouse and En (Wombat maybe???) thinks “It was here where we first met.”
At a karaoke bar, Gora and Wombat meet up with Ryuu.
“While the girls are terrified by Gora and Wombat, Wombat is usually loved by Yumoto who throws away the microphone and leaves the room saying “SWEATY!”
Wombat brings up the fact that he stinks like a beast while Gora’s sweat NEVER smells.
They mention how Atsushi was seen with Io and Ryuu mentions that Gora talks as short as possible (I’m PRETTY SURE Ryuu was flirting with a girl here??? idk)
"Oh I never brought my friends home” Gora slowly looks back at Zaou and strengthens his words, "But, when I met you, Yumoto changed! He said I'm looking forward to seeing you more every day!" And Ryuu says "seriously?"
Gora: “Yumoto loves you guys” and thanks them for welcoming Yumoto at the bathhouse, to which Ryuu replies “Yumoto is like my younger brother!” They are screaming this into microphones.
Ryuu hopes that Io is coming to the bathhouse too after they talk about him.
Io and Atsushi went to eat curry together. Io and Atsushi see Wombat and Gora in the security camera and Io points his spoon in the direction of Gora.
Gora tells them what happened up to this point and Wombat SHOUTS IN ANGER AT THESE TWO and calls them out for being "confused" and then at the end says "Yumoto talks about you happily to Gora each night"
"Yumoto's life changed when he met you! Yumoto received love from someone other than his family for the first time! I'm saying that I can't wait to see you every day!" (Wombat)
Wombat says that "it's about you, maybe you didn't have friends until now, but every night, happily talking about you, it's never happened before Gora." and Gora replies "ah..."
Then they {Atsushi/Io} reply “Yumoto does that?” And Wombat says “Yumoto treats you like you, I’m proud of him”
Gora thanks them for telling the truth.
"Yumoto always says that Kinugawa is kind like a mother. I really liked the curry you made. Yufuin is like a couple and it's fun to watch" Io (I think)says this to Atsushi, which makes Atsushi laugh and thanks Io for scolding him if he does something wrong within the club
Going back to the bathhouse, the twins are glaring at Yumoto, who’s on the rooftop.
Now in chapters 5/6
Yumoto is sitting on the roof and everyone is calling to him.Someone tells Yumoto that it’s bathtime and Yumoto keeps telling them that he’s Running away.
Wombat says that he doesn’t understand him.
The twins say they’ll stay back for now since the atmosphere is sad. Wombat talks about love and how he can feel the love in the air between the Hakone brothers (apparently the DC are hugging one another) While Yumoto is confused.
and Wombat is telling him that he has to stay because "the Defense Club will not start without a base" (which could go as "oh ur the leader Yumoto!" or "oh we need ur bathhouse")
Yumoto then says "Please leave me alone! I'm alone--I want to be alone" and Gora is sad and replies, "but Yumoto, everyone's gathering around you. I know because I'm always looking at you from nearby"
And then Gora reminds him that everyone is waiting for you and tHEN HARU WHISPERS "Well WE'RE NOT HERE FOR YOU"
and then the boys all tell Yumoto how much they mean to him. Ryuu is like "let's get together!" While Io is saying "time is money! I'm sorry I can't say any good words right now"  En doesn't really say much
Atsushi says they need to make curry together and eat it. Then Wombat adds Yumoto can cuddle him
And then Gora tells Yumoto he's not alone (and either he's tearing up or Yumoto is)
and this makes yumoto reply that he's not alone and the light returns to his eyes and Gora says he loves him and adds that all of his friends do too.
THE TWINS ARE MAKING FACES (Haru thinks  "NO I HATE HAKONE YUMOTO but i can't deny Gora's words")
Then the monster shows up, Gora gets hit and tells Yumoto that it’s okay and he needs to do whatever he has to, to defeat the monster and they transform.
The fight happens, and then at the end they start talking about cherries and friendship. They’re telling the monster about the importance of Friendship (all while the twins are watching them, transformed, on a rooftop).
After this, they heal the monster and they go to the bath. After their bath, Gora gives them food and cherries.
Then back to the twins, GOOGLE SAID “Haru is a frustrated shit.” (I’m pretty sure that’s not correct but i’m not sure).
Back to Wombat, he goes outside and thinks about how Gora looks relieved and how his chopping of wood is comforting.
Then in the last few pages, Yumoto brings up how all of his senpais aren’t at school because they have fevers. As he’s throwing down two pillows like beanbags and then throws a third at Gora. Yumoto also mentions that he wasn’t able to bathe today because of that (That might be an error but lol)
Then they lay down together and the book ends.

[fanfic] Sharing Is Caring
Arima regarded the contents of his teacup. Or in truth, what had been the contents of his teacup.
Should I get some more? The party wasn’t even close to slowing down. He glanced up to where Kinshiro and Atsushi sat side by side, hands intertwined, heads leaning close together. Sometimes they whispered to one another, sometimes they just gazed into each other’s eyes, as if the rest of the universe conveniently stopped existing when they did.
He was happy for them. He’d hoped for them to make up with one another for a very long time, long before evil space hedgehogs and transformation rings and everything else.
But that didn’t mean things weren’t going to change – Kinshiro had Atsushi now to make tea for him, to remind him to get home at a decent hour and not work himself to death. Arima made a note to himself to let Atsushi know of any favorites he might not yet know for Kinshiro.
Slowly he pushed himself to his feet and made his way over to the refreshment table. As far as he could tell, no significant dents had been made in the food spread out here. There was a punch bowl but he ignored that, heading over to where he could brew himself a good cup of tea.
That required going to the small kitchenette behind the table. He’d stored several of his favorite teas here and now regarded each box, trying to decide which one he was in the mood for right now. Something that wouldn’t get him ready to sleep but wouldn’t keep him awake when he wanted to sleep.
He’d just made his choice and started getting the water ready when a soft footfall alerted him to the fact someone else entered the kitchenette. His first thought was that it might be Kinshiro – Kinshiro always turned up when he started to make tea, for whatever reasons.
But this time he turned, a greeting already on his lips, along with a gentle teasing in mind for Kinshiro actually removing himself from Atsushi on their wedding day, he saw instead Yufuin En, his formal clothing already rumpled, his hair mussed, and stifling a yawn.
“Hey,” En raised one hand. “Got anything to drink in here?”
Arima blinked a few times. That hadn’t exactly been what he expected, and he tended not to be surprised by anything. Then he mentally shrugged. It wasn’t as if En were in any way threatening to anything except perhaps a pillow and even that was more in the sense of falling asleep on it than anything else.
“Only tea.” He measured out the tea leaves and hot water. He hadn’t expected anyone else to find his little hiding hole but there was plenty to share if need be.
En eyed the boxes, a hint more sharpness there than Arima was used to seeing in him. “Mind if I make a cup?”
“Go ahead.” Arima agreed at once. “I didn’t know you drank tea.” At least he didn’t remember seeing it. But it wasn’t as if he watched En every second of every day.
En blinked sleepily – as if he blinked any other way – and glanced around the kitchenette. Then he turned back to Arima. “Isn’t there any coffee here?”
Coffee? Arima hadn’t even thought about coffee. Both Atsushi and Kinshiro preferred tea and he’d picked out a variety of other drinks as well, but coffee hadn’t crossed his mind. He slowly shook his head.
“I’m terribly sorry. I should have provided some.” He prided himself on being able to answer every need but here he’d forgotten a common beverage, and it was something that someone wanted.
En shrugged a little. “That’s all right.” He started to turn around – presumably in search of coffee – and Arima made a rather sudden decision.
“You could have some of my tea if you like.” It had just reached the perfect point of steeping and he could always make more if he needed to.
En turned back at once. “What kind is it?”
“It’s kabusecha,” Arima told him. He’d always enjoyed that flavor; a nice balance of savoriness and rich taste.
He could tell that En was considering it even before the other man moved over to him.
“What’s it like?”
That was all Arima needed in order to start detailing the benefits and virtues of this particular type of tea. He’d always enjoyed so many different varieties and he’d never needed to discuss them that often with Kinshiro, since Kinshiro knew as much as he did, or more. But to talk to someone who listened as deeply as En did? That thrilled him as little else had in a long time.
To his mild surprise, En listened to every word he had to say. At least up to a point. He was about to launch into a detailed explanation of what made this type of tea different from others when En mutely held out his hand.
Oh. He’d almost forgotten he’d offered for En to actually have some. He held the cup out and En accepted it, sipping carefully. Arima put a leash on his enjoyment of tea and tea talk and hoped that his unexpected drinking companion would enjoy it.
“It is good,” En agreed after the first couple of sips. He started to hand the cup back and Arima quickly shook his head.
“That’s all right, you can have that one. I’ll make a fresh one for myself.” He had nothing against sharing cups, but he found it far preferable to let En have this entire full cup and then make one for himself.
En didn’t argue about that, but enjoyed his tea instead. His eyes didn’t shift away from Arima the whole time as he puttered about to get his fresh cup going.
“You’re going to miss him, aren’t you?”
Arima guessed at once who he meant. It wasn’t as if there were many other options. “Yes. But it’s not as if we’ll never see each other again.”
En nodded. “Same way with me and Atsushi.”
Yes, it was, wasn’t it? Arima had thought of that before. He’d always taken care of Kinshiro, at least until he and Atsushi started to seriously see one another. Atsushi had taken care of En, until he’d had Kinshiro to lavish affection on.
A tiny whisper of a thought moved in the back of his mind, but he refused to pay much attention to it. Now wasn’t the time.
Instead, he picked up his cup and stated out. “Well, I wish them both the best.”
En fell into place beside him as he headed back to his chair. There were a few people out there dancing, and Arima smiled to see the newlyweds among them. He settled down and sipped at his tea, well aware of En’s presence, and not at all surprised to see Akoya dancing with both Ryuu and Io. The three of them looked as happy as Kinshiro and Atsushi did.
A quick glance around the room told him where everyone else was – Yumuto stood by the refreshment table, chatting with his brother. The twins weren’t that far away, satisfying themselves with adoring looks at Gora. Wombat nibbled at something Arima couldn’t see and decided that he didn’t want to see.
There, thankfully, wasn’t any sign of any evil hedgehogs wandering around. Zundar wasn’t someone that Arima ever wanted to see again.
“Do you think if all of that hadn’t happened, we’d be here now?” En asked.
Arima shrugged. “It’s hard to say. They might have made up sooner – or not at all.” Though truthfully, the thought of Atsushi and Kinshiro never making up at all made his stomach churn. Kinshiro had never been happier to Arima’s knowledge since the reconciliation. The thought of that not happening…
“Interesting to think about, though. Trying to take over the world lead to them getting married.” En leaned his head back and stared up at the ceiling. “Makes you wonder what else going on that we call bad could lead to something really good. And if it’s happened before.”
Arima wondered if En meant something bad leading to good or someone trying to take over the planet. Probably he meant both. This was En, after all. That was the kind of thing that he usually meant. It intrigued him, truth to tell.
The more he thought about it, the more he thought En might be right – and he found himself wondering exactly what could come from sharing a cup of tea.
The End
Notes: This was also written for SilvorMoon, in response to a tumblr prompt of one character sharing their drink with another.

[ CHARLES DANCE ] // have you met [ COUNT DOOKU ] yet? [ HE/THEY ] is an [ EIGHT-ONE ] year old [ NON-BINARY ] [ HUMAN ]. they’re originally from [ SERENNO ] and now show loyalty to [ THE SEPARATISTS ]. they are best known for being a [ COUNT/SITH LORD ], and i hear they’re pretty [ WISE ] yet also [ CALCULATING ] at times; i hope they survive the galactic civil war. ( ANDY, 26, AET, HE/HIM/SHE/HER )
PAST
It was early in Dooku’s life that his force-sensitivity began to show, but while many might find it beautiful or even fascinating, the same could not be said of his father. Count Gora hated and feared such powers and quickly contacted the Jedi to take him from them. But before the Jedi could even arrive, Gora’s hatred shone through and he abandoned the babe, leaving him unclothed and defenceless outside the palace and on the border of the forest, without a care for his survival.
The Jedi temple was his first true home. It was where he grew up, where he learnt and became his own person, and it was all he knew in his childhood years. He was a diligent student, determined to be the best, and it did little to help him gain friends. Although he did make one friend as a youngling, one that remained for many years; Sifo-Dyas.
He soon became a Jedi Master in his own right, and took on multiple apprentices, including Qui-Gon Jinn, with whom he kept in contact long after Jinn became a Jedi himself. But even as he became a part of the High Council, things did not sit well for the Jedi.
For years he struggled with issues with the Jedi, and it did not change when he was a part of the council, a position of supposed power within the Jedi. He watched as they handed people over to the ‘proper authorities’, who would inevitably become slaves, he watched as they stood aside and did not inform those they knew may perish, and his faith in not only the Jedi, but the light side slowly diminished.
It was at his sister’s pleading that Dooku returned to Serenno, overthrowing his brother and taking on the mantle of Count of Serenno. Taking on one of the galaxy’s largest fortunes as he took on the role of Count, Dooku was thrust into a new life, and, with his distrust of his former position, subsequently left the Jedi order, making him the final member of The Lost Twenty.
At this point Dooku basically disappeared from the public eye, working in quiet instead for Serenno. It was during this time that Darth Sidious approached him in regards to leading the Separatist movement. But it was not the Dark Side that tempted him to accept the offer, but his desire to eliminate the corruption within the Senate, and his desire for power, that lead him to accept.
He soon suggested his old friend Sifo-Dyas create the clone army for the Republic, before organising the death of said friend, to keep his hands clean. At one point he recruited Asajj Ventress as his assassin and, secretly, his sith apprentice.
The death of Qui-Gon Jinn shook him far more than he expected, but only solidified his outrage at the Jedi council, as Qui-Gon was one who he truly trusted and admired. It also had him questioning his own choices, but he was determined nonetheless to make a difference, and with Darth Sidious at his side he felt that the corruption of the Senate had to end.
Reentering the public eye in a dramatic fashion, Dooku spoke out publicly after the death of his former padawan on the Republic Holonet, gaining further support for the Separatist movement as he condemned the Republic for not only their shortcomings, but the corruption within the Senate.
The Separatist’s actions were pushed further into the public’s eye after the battle of Geonosis, where the Clone army made their debut against Dooku’s droids, and he found himself battling his former master, Yoda.
there is far too much to put it all here, so please check out the wiki for a more thorough description of his past! But if you want to know when he came from, it was just after Hondo kidnapped him, Obi-Wan and Anakin, and he had escaped.
PRESENT
Having found himself in the future is confusing for Count Dooku, not that he would ever let it show. But, more than that, the betrayal he was dealt by his master has stunned him. He may not have trusted Sidious, but never did he consider he would be a pawn in the Sith’s path to gaining the apprentice he truly craved, and it has left him with even more questions than he had beforehand.
Sticking to the shadows, Dooku is in search of something he can not name. With Palpatine dead and the Jedi order destroyed, he should be happy, should feel somewhat avenged and that something akin to his plans had occurred. But he can’t be pleased, not when such chaos continues on, not when a lack of unity and the war that he was so instrumental in starting waged on under a new name.
His loyalty to the Sith is in question, perhaps now more than ever before, and he watches on as the worlds destroy one another without clarity and thought, and somehow all he worked for doesn’t seem quite so clear itself anymore as he teeters on the edge, neither fully immersed in the Dark Side, nor the Light.
PERSONALITY
Count Dooku’s calm exterior is well known to all those who have come across him, and often a terrifying trait to those who oppose him. He is level headed even in battle, using his calculating mind in lieu of emotions to effectively take down his opponents with swift ease. This stoic composure is present in him most of the time, as he uses that which he learnt from his time as a Jedi to remove himself from the situations at hand and look beyond them, at the bigger picture. It also means he can often be seen as cold and uncaring.
In truth, he is, in his own way, an idealist. He sees things that need change, and he is determined to change them. He sees things he can not stomach, especially with those that hypocritically claim they are helping and he has to do something about it.
Aristocratic from a young age, he knows how to hold his tongue and temper in check, even when slipping into the Dark Side and the anger it tempts him with. But he holds himself above trivialities, not out of a sense of true elitism, as he can care for people of all stations and what they have been through, but because he knows how it can be beneficial, and how easily giving away your emotions can lead you into more trouble.

Hello, if it’s still possible could I get a Haikyuu matchup please? I’m an average height, curvy, girl with really curly brunette hair. I like to read and write a lot and I’m currently studying history! I’m quiet til you get to know me a little better. I love my friends with my whole heart and support them in all their endeavors. I’m a big softie and cry easily. I have a very easy going attitude and enjoy the little things. Thanks in advance love, you’re doing wonderful 💕 - 🦈 anon
I match you with:
Hajime Iwaizumi
Tumblr media
Let me just start off by saying that Hajime loves himself a bigger girl. I don’t want to exactly say he’s a chubby chaser but… the man can’t help but let his eyes linger on women that have curvier figures. He loves how round and curvy they are and how suitable they are for cuddling and holding. Chances are you will find yourself seated on his lap a lot because he loves the feeling of you so close to him (well, on top of him).
Your quiet nature is something that he values a lot since he isn’t much of a speaker himself. He likes the fact that you both can be in silence without having it be awkward or uncomfortable. When and if you do start up a conversation with him, it always happens naturally instead of abruptly, making him feel a lot less pressured to give you a response since he hates feeling so pressed to start up and hold conversations with people when they spring a topic on him out of the blue.
The amount of love and support you give your friends and family is something he loves as well. He loves women that are able to support those she loves in what they are doing, even if she doesn’t fully understand or know much about that it is they are doing. Your belief in him and his abilities fill him with so much love and confidence that he is sure he can take on any obstacle as long as you are there supporting and believing in him.
He thanks all the Gods for you easy going nature and enjoyment of the smaller things in life. Hajime is a pretty simple guy and isn’t the best at grand gestures of affection. Dates with him are usually something simple that you both will enjoy like going out for food, or having takeout at his apartment and watching movies together. He likes that you enjoy them so much and don’t get at him for not doing something grand for each and every date you both go on.
While he does think it is kind of cruel, he can’t help but love the fact that you cry easily. He loves how adorable you look when you cry, the way your round cheeks get all red and how your voice becomes so tiny and small. It makes him want to protect you from whatever may have made you cry. He’ll hold you close on his lap, his hands running through your hair and rubbing calming circles on your back. If what you’re crying about isn’t too serious (maybe you watched a sad or really happy movie) then he will tease you for it a bit before taking you out for ice cream or the like to make you feel better. If you’re crying about something rather serious, then Hajime is very attentive to you, letting you vent to him if you need or letting you cry on his shoulder. He will let you cry for however long you need, staying by your side and giving you as much comfort as you’ll allow him to until you’re ready to talk to him or do something to get your mind off what had made you upset.
Strong points:
Your communication and understanding of each other. More often than not, words don’t need to be said between you both for you to understand each other.
Compatibility. You both don’t have many differences but if you both come across something you don’t agree on, then you both are quick and easy to come to terms about that difference and won’t let it affect your relationship.
Level of trust. You both have a good and healthy amount of trust for each other. There is nothing either of you do that would ever put your trust for one another into question.
Weak points:
Honestly, I don’t see you having any major weak points that would need mentioning besides the amount of time you both will be able to spend together. He is a high school student currently in his last year as well as part of a sports team, so his schedule is bound to be pretty tight. However, I’m sure you’re both able to work something out in order to spend time with each other.
Alternative Matches:
Ennoshita Chikara
Kai Nobuyuki
Washio Tatsuki
Eit Semi
Gora Masaki

Laughing echoed the hallways as everyone helped out in the kitchen attempting to make some sort of edible meal.
Not out of rocks, which Steve had to remind Leto several times.
“NO! LETO NO! WE DON’T EAT GRANITE” Steve’s desperate yells escaped through the rooms as she tried to take control of the cooking.
Cyrus was laughing like a maniac as he threw flour at Cords face. Cord just continued to frantically rub it off of his scales.
When Cord decided it was payback time. he grabbed some and threw it back at Cyrus. But Cyrus ducked out of the way just in time so the flour hit Sam.
Sam froze, then twitched his ears. He then began to backup until he hit the couch and tumbled over backwards.
That only made Cyrus laugh even harder than before and soon he was gasping on the ground.
“LETO THAT WAS A PERFECTLY GOOD SPATULA!! AHH STOP! DON’T TOUCH THAT! ARIA YOU SHOULDN’T EAT RAW EGGS!!” Steve continued to shout over Cyrus’s wheezing.
Aria began to eat whole eggs. Leto was trying to chop off Ollie’s fingers and drag Ollie into the oven. All the while, Ollie stayed still and watched Leto with interest as he put his hand on a cutting board.
“OLLIE DON’T LET HIM DO THAT!!” Steve yelled. “YOU’LL ONLY ENCOURAGE HIM!
Meanwhile Garret was going through the box of things Aaron had given him on Pandemonium.
An old deflated football, it was signed by Refingo Klui himself (famous football player from Dramin’ Gora) it’s black and white paint scratched and grass stained.
A baseball glove that had the name “Aaron” scratched all over the inside. Then the start of Garret’s name. Aaron tried to cover it up “GAaron” is what it read.
Garret remembered fondly of the time he stole it from Aaron and tried to write his name in it. Aaron did give the glove to him one time so he could bring it to school. All those cool kids had them. Garret remembered feeling so cool that day, like no one could stop him.
Then Garret’s smile faded a bit when he remembered that he always had to sit out during gym because he was too strong for the kids his age. His throws were insane and if it hit someone it would break their limbs.
Garret sighed and put down the glove.
He then pulled out a smaller box of tapes all the labels were faded except one. It looked like it was written recently.
It was in Aaron’s messy handwriting. It said:
Baby Mine by...Dad.
Garret almost dropped the box of tapes. Dad...? Garret scrambled over to his Walkman and gently put in his dads tape.
It began to play, sweet sounding cords. Like a lullaby, was it a lullaby? As the song played on Garret began to remember. His dad would sing this to Aaron and him before bed. And just before when he wasn’t allowed to see them. It was a reminder that he loved them so much. Garret remembered when Aaron and himself sang along. He was the best dad anyone could ever have.
A tear ran down Garret’s cheek as the song played on. With it still playing Garret turned to the box again. There was a picture frame. It was facing away so he couldn’t see it. He turned off the Walkman and put away the tape gently. Then he picked up the picture.
A family photo. His family photo. It was old and scratched, even a bit burnt on the side. But it was his family. All arms wrapped around each other. Smiling.
They were smiling. So happy, so innocent.
Garret could barely remember that time in his family. Garret was 6 in that photo. How times have changed, Garret thought to himself.
Another tear ran fell off his cheek as he looked at the picture. Why did it have to end how it did?
Back in the kitchen they had finally created some form of a meal and Cyrus walked down the hallway to Garret’s room still laughing to himself.
Once he reached Garret’s room the door was slightly open so he pushed it further and stepped inside.
Garret was holding some sort of picture frame. Cyrus saw a tear glimmer on Garret’s cheek.
“Hey” Cyrus said with a smile.
Garret turned to him and put the picture frame behind his back.
“What’s that- are you crying?!” Cyrus asked looking at Garret’s red cheeks.
“no” Garret said as he went over to that box he said Aaron gave him.
“Are you sure? Are you ok? Hey what’s this?” Cyrus spewed out several questions then he picked up the picture that Garret had put back in the box.
“Is this your family...?” Cyrus said staring at the picture, astonished.
“Put it back”
“No no no, this is your family?!” Cyrus continued.
“Cyrus please just put it down” Garret said quietly.
Cyrus looked at Garret and saw the tears. He looked back at the picture and pointed.
“Is that your dad?” He asked quietly.
“yes” Garret spoke in a whisper almost. “Now can you put it back?”
“Yeah, sorry” Cyrus said as he put the picture back into the box.
“Supper’s ready” Cyrus said as he opened Garret’s door and stepped into the hallway.
Garret just sighed and turned away.
“C’mon” Cyrus said as he stepped back into the smoky room. He grabbed Garret’s hand and laced his fingers with Garret’s. Then they walked hand in hand down the hallway to the kitchen. Garret resting his head on Cyrus’s shoulder.
“Welcome, my dearest friends to our feast of wonder and spatulas” Leto said in a far off voice, it was always like that though. That’s just how he sounded.
“Welcome back Garret, we’ve created a somewhat edible meal. Sit down, eat some half cooked ramen. Enjoy” Steve said with the smallest amount of enthusiasm.
Garret chuckled quietly “it better be good half cooked ramen” he said while raising an eyebrow.
Cord was eating at the end of the table. It was roadkill, of course. With a slight bit of under cooked ramen on top. He put the ramen in his mouth and it made a very loud “cronch”.
Steve shivered a little. This was nightmare cooking.
“Next time, we’ll let you cook the food.” Garret said as reassuringly as he could.
“Or I’ll beat you with the one remaining spatula I have left” she said while giving Leto a death stare. He smiled at her and began munching on his fork.
Steve threw out her arms in desperation, almost knocking Ollie to the ground.
Well, you can’t change the past. But if this my future... that would be great.

So I've seen all the LSW movie now and I have Thoughts and it's been a while since I did any kind of anime review so I just had to type this up.
(Note 1: No, I'm not sharing any links to where to find it. I know there's a less-than-legal link floating around that you can find on Tumblr in the tag if you look around. I actually used Google Chrome and a VPN to rent LSW for 500 yen for two days from the official Bandai Channel site linked here.)
(Note 2: The entire thing has not been subbed yet as far as I know. My knowledge of Japanese is spotty at best especially when it comes to listening rather than reading, but I've read the novel translations and the manga enough that even without subs I have a pretty good idea of what's going on.)
-We open on Fushimi's rainy Scepter 4 induction ceremony that was shown in the trailer. I suddenly remember how in the novel it's mentioned that the raindrops don't hit Munakata because of his King powers and it makes the part in MK where he has Awashima holding an umbrella for him while everyone else gets soaked that much more peak troll.
-There's this weird computer-y thing as Fushimi closes his eyes and I don't know if it quite works for me? This isn't jungle guys, the Blues can just be fancy in the rain, it's cool.
-Fushimi takes the sword and they totally cut out Saru snarking back at Munakata about the whole 'pride and pledge and such isn't really necessary.' I wanted to see Fushimi being a little shit why do you deny me.
-They also cut out Fushimi seeing Yata's hand reaching for the sword, instead we only have Fushimi taking it as he voiceovers the whole 'The first King said take this hand. The second King said take this sword.' The background also gets all computer-y again and it looks a little cheap and weird? This is not the first strange decision this movie will be making.
-Then that weird kid from the sixth movie promo material who looks like he escaped from Handshakers and has pokeballs for eyes says something profound-ish, etc etc TIME FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL BABIES.
-We cut to Yata on the toilet. Not what it sounds like I swear.
-Middle school Misaki so cute and dissatisfied as he hides in the bathroom. He spots something in the next stall and climbs up to look, like Romeo ascending Juliet's toilet balcony or somesuch.
-Fushimi is also on the toilet. Also not what it sounds like.
-Flirting ensues, with Yata being cute and enthusiastic and Fushimi playing hard to get by yelling at him to go away. Ah, young love.
-Yata mentions his phone has been getting weird messages due to jungle. That's called spam, Yata-chan, and you're probably too young to be reading anything that has a lot of xs in the subject line.
-Triumphant video game music plays as Fushimi's voice gets all excited and he lets Yata come over to watch him, which is when we see poor baby has a bruise from being beaten up by upperclassmen. (I'd say that's what happens without Yata there to save him but he probably ended up getting beaten less in the movie than the novel precisely because of that XD)
-They've known each other for like two minutes and already Yata wants to beat people up to defend Fushimi's honor.
-Fushimi proceeds to beat his opponent in jcube while Yata yells about how amazing it is and we get that 'this guy is scary...but amazing' moment, aka the actual exact moment where Yata falls totally in love.
-Fushimi's triumphant smile gives me life.
-Cue Yata walking to school. We don't really get any exact passage of time indications here but I like to assume this was at least a few days later – Fushimi's still a bit standoffish but Yata has clearly already officially adopted him as New Best Friend.
-Yata gets Aya's letter in his locker and proceeds to show us all that yes, he can get even cuter than he already was.
-He goes running after Fushimi and there's this weird slo-mo thing for a moment? I feel like if we're going for that there should be like romantic music playing or something.
-Other students stare at them, wondering if these two are really going continue to be this gay in public. (Spoiler alert: yes. Yes they are.)
-And then Aya tackle-hugs Yata. I really like her voice, it sounds super cutesy in just the right affected way, and even the big anime eyes work well for her character (since I get the impression from the novel she's supposed to look young). Also that 'Mi-sa-ki-pyuun!' is so cute.
-'You know what would be completely gratuitous?' 'What?' 'If instead of Aya wearing pumpkin pants like she explicitly says she is in the novel, we put in a middle schooler pantyshot.' 'Great idea!' -Gora, probably.
-Yata hides behind Fushimi because he too has had enough of this fanservice.
-Yata tries to use Fushimi as his totally heterosexual excuse to get away from the scary girl and Aya's voice becomes noticeably less high pitched and cutesy as she talks to Fushimi. I think they did a good job with showing the shift in the way she talks to Fushimi versus how she speaks to Yata.
-Aya tells Yata about the jungle mission and then shows him all the hateful messages she received. Yata looks away and we see his own phone, with the mean chat messages his 'friends' exchanged about him. The former Yata team still sucks and are not even worthy of showing up in this movie.
-Yata adorably clings to Fushimi and have I mentioned he is adorable because I'm dying here.
-So our trio heads out to summon the airship. Aya shows Yata the program she created to decode jungle's hints and Fushimi noticeably sighs and walks away when Yata calls it 'cool.' Someone's jealous~
-Aya's mom calls and Yata takes the opportunity to go talk with Fushimi. This part is really abbreviated from the novel, with Fushimi only confirming that Aya's his cousin before Aya breaks in to ask Yata to talk to her mom, so we don't get any of the family talk between them. I get that there was no way the movie could fit everything in but I think it's an unfortunate loss that will pretty much continue throughout the movie – Yata's backstory gets really shafted here, continuing the trend of LSW tending to be more about Fushimi than about both Fushimi and Yata as it should be.
-Yata's face as he starts his girl impersonation, I can't. Fukujun's female voice sounds like an old woman, Aya is cracking up and so am I, this is beautiful.
-And Fushimi laughs. I think I like how the manga did this one better, in the movie it seems more like mocking laughter than real happy laughter that I think it's supposed to be, and it felt more like he was trying to suppress it. Basically even though Aya's like 'Fushimi's laughing?' I don't get the impression that this is supposed to be a rare event, which I think the novel was intending and which for me the manga managed to convey.
-They spot the airship in the distance and Fushimi starts recalculating the position as Yata stares in awe and Aya gets annoyed. No smiley face like in the novel though, alas.
-Fushimi's ready to give up on chasing the airship but of course Yata's fired up now, and the bicycle built for three kicks off in hot pursuit. Yata strains to peddle even though you know Aya and Fushimi combined probably weigh like barely anything.
-Of course they still can't catch up and we get that 'If we'd gotten on...would anything change?' I feel like the visuals let this moment down a little – the manga was more dynamic here – but Mamoru Miyano's voice acting almost makes up for it, with just a slight undercurrent of longing underneath the tone.
-'A different world?' Yes Yata, you would have seen a different world where an immortal man has an airship complete with its own Real Doll or whatever that thing Colorless was dancing with in S1 was. Maybe it's better they missed the airship.
-Another cut straight to Yata in front of Fushimi's house. Again this makes sense to cut everything before it to streamline things, but I'm sad to lose Aya's comments on Fushimi's family and the mention of him being home when the house got robbed.
-Precious sick baby Saru coughing as he works on what is clearly meant to be Yata's watch. Someone's already got a crush.
-We get the whole 'Yata taking care of sick Fushimi' part and I love everything this scene chooses to be, Fushimi is just so precious and confused as to why Yata's there taking care of him. Also huge props to Mamoru Miyano because the voice acting in this scene is adorable, every little 'Yataaa' makes my heart go doki doki.
-The last time Yata goes back to check on him and Fushimi is sitting up and looking so shocked and amazed because Yata came when he called and he's being loved and taken care of and no one has ever done that before someone hold me my heart can't take this.
-Yata makes Fushimi food and then falls asleep and it's all so wonderful and sweet gosh I hope a raging asshole doesn't show up to ruin it all.
-'Who are you?' One raging asshole, right on time.
Tumblr media
-Niki's voice...isn't really what I was expecting? It's a bit deep in a way that I'm not sure works for me... I mean, he does sound like he needs to be punched in the face so that's spot on. As far as Nikis go though I think I give stage play Niki the edge as far as how I imagined him sounding.
-Niki threatens to stuff a mantis in Yata's mouth and we hear the sounds of poor sick baby Fushimi stumbling his way through the giant house as fast as he can go, likely falling over things and breathing hard and just terrified because he needs to get Yata away from his asshole trash king father now.
-And Fushimi absolutely screams at Niki to shut up and it's beautiful and painful and this entire scene just makes me want to kidnap him and save him from his terrible dad.
-Niki's laugh is just kinda there too, like anime!Niki doesn't quite manage that distinctive 'gyahaha' that stage play Niki did so well.
-Fushimi outside with Yata and again the voice acting is so good, that desperate little 'Yata!' and then the hesitant, stumbling attempts at thanking Yata when Fushimi's never thanked anyone before. My heart.
-Yata says he'll see Fushimi at school and Fushimi smiles and I just...precious baby. Must protect.
-Of course this beauty couldn't last forever and Fushimi's face falls as he has to go back inside to face the piece of unburnable trash sitting on the stairs. This is the one place Niki's voice 100% worked for me – that 'Saruhiko! Asoboze~' was just chilling.
-And we begin part two, with Yata and Fushimi hanging out on the street where they'll shortly meet Mikoto. Yata mom gets cheated out of not just a name but a cameo animated appearance too, why this Gora.
-They use a mix of old and new animation for this part – Yata drinking and then throwing the drink is clearly the exact animation from S1 but Mikoto catching it has been newly animated. That's probably for the best – the bigger eyes work well enough with Fushimi and Yata, since they're supposed to be kids, but there would be a pretty obvious difference between the old and new styles with Mikoto. (I think Mikoto looking back at them might be from S1 though...honestly this just makes me miss the S1 animation style again.)
-Cut to Fushimi getting yelled at for having his phone out in class. Fushimi of course gives no fucks and walks right out, and Yata runs after him while their teacher is completely done with this level of gay.
-I don't really like how those last two scenes went flow-wise, it feels kinda abrupt? The scene with Sarumi meeting Homra continues to feel shoved in and awkwardly out of place even in its own movie, and having nothing to really indicate the passing of time between Yata visiting Fushimi at his home to the two of them on the street and then back to class makes things feel choppy to me here. I assume they rearranged things from the novel for time reasons but it definitely feels shuffled around.
-Yata asks if Fushimi's going home and says he'll go too, and Fushimi has this little '...sorry' moment that's adorable, especially when Yata proceeds to put a hand on his shoulder and smiles and I think this movie is as in love with Yata as Fushimi is, every scene of him smiling is so bright.
-Yata mentions that they're third years already, finally giving some indication of how time moves in this movie thank you Yata.
-Fushimi pulls up jungle, showing Yata pictures that jungle's managed to take of various Homra members as part of a mission. I'm just concerned that someone is stalking Kusanagi.
-They discuss the rumors of the 'Red Monster' as images of Mikoto looking scary cross the screen. My favorite part of this is when they show Mikoto and the Homra members in silhouette with glowing red eyes looking all ominous, except one of the silhouettes is clearly Totsuka and I'm pretty sure the worst he's gonna do to you guys is ask if you want to help him with a hobby.
-We also get a close up of glowing eyes Fujishima. Did someone kick a dog in his presence, or...?
-Yata proposes to Fushimi talks about how they should get a place together and we get a quick flash of Niki looking like an asshole, which is his specialty. 'You don't need a home like that.'
-Yata says their place should have a helicopter pad and suddenly we're in Yata vision with an adorable cartoony plane rising up from a hidden door and just when you thought Yata couldn't be cuter.
-...Followed by Fushimi vision which is basically a mad science lab featuring human-like organisms in glowing pods. The chuunibyou is strong.
-The two of them walk off discussing plans and being in love as Aya stares down from the window, wondering why she's even in this movie again.
-Back to the Fushimi House of Shitty Parents, with Kisa making her cameo. Her character design is just way too....soft, I think, for my tastes. I feel like the manga did the better job of portraying a beautiful but cold and professional woman. Also she's got a hedgehog on her shoulder (or it's some kind of fluffy necklace thing, idk, it's weird why is it there why isn't she in her party dress like she should be).
-Her voice feels a little too pleasant for me too, though it does shift slightly colder when she gets off the phone and starts talking to Fushimi.
-Also while on the one hand the front of the house being wide and empty fits, since we know they don't keep anything valuable where people can see, the background here feels a bit...off? Like at one point we see these huge open doorways behind Fushimi and Kisa and it looks like they live in a fucking museum or something, like there's 'rich person's house' and 'no one actually has a house that looks like this.'
-Kisa tells Fushimi his dad is in the hospital and leaves, her cameo appearance over for the day. She still got more screentime than Yata's mom.
-Fushimi thinks about Niki's illness and then smiles and laughs, as we all should.
-Back to school, and Aya is pissed at Fushimi only being in 45th place in exams and that he isn't competing with her, because once again Fushimi gives no fucks he's moving in with his boyfriend and doesn't need no education.
-Aya mentions getting into Tsubakigahara high school and Fushimi cleans his glasses, reminding me that I wish we'd gotten to see Aya in her glasses animated.
-'Have you ever listened to me with your eyes sparkling and saying 'amazing'?' And Fushimi walks right past her because he doesn't want a rival, he wants someone who will look at him as he is and think that he's worth something, that he's amazing from the point of view beyond just what society expects.
-And Aya scores a direct hit with her backpack! Throwing things at people must run in the Fushimi family.
-Fushimi says he doesn't hate Aya and for a moment she stares at him with romance in her eyes....and then he kicks her backpack right back in her face. Such a smooth talker. At least they resisted the urge to put in another pantyshot there.
-Cut to the Sarumi Apartment of Love. The quick pan up the building makes it feel like they should be on the top floor even though we know from the novel it's a first floor apartment. Also the building looks a bit too fancy for me, considering their apartment's supposed to be cheap and purchased via an underworld-type realtor.
-Yata shows off his skateboard tricks and Fushimi is not interested. He's just playing hard to get again.
-Yata and Fushimi plan their attack on the surprise party and are so cute and hopeful and it's depressing knowing this is really the beginning of the end of their sense of invincibility.
-KNUCKLE BUMP!
-Also please note Fushimi's loft is big enough that Yata can like climb right up there with him and there's plenty of room for things like for example making out if the two of them wanted to do such things you know just saying.
-The night of the surprise party. Dewa and Chitose get to make appearances trying to disperse the crowd as Yata waits on top of the roof and Fushimi runs the computers while wearing a cute stripey blanket.
-They discuss the plan as tiny CGI people hang out around Homra. It looks like the bar is being attacked by rogue escapees from a Sims game (new plan: Yata leads them to the nearest pool and Fushimi removes the ladder).
-Fushimi is still wearing a stripey blanket on his head, and he is adorable. Just to make note of the important things.
-Fushimi begins the hacking mission as everyone puts on freaky-ass masks. Did Hisui have a coupon for the local freaky mask shop or something? Was this a wholesale deal?
-The jungle kids start shooting off party poppers. Sensing a threat to his bar counter, Kusanagi finally makes an appearance.
-Fushimi sends out a fake mail to indicate jungle's having server issues and we see Aya in the crowd, which makes you think her presence here is going to be important. Spoiler alert: unlike in the novel, her presence has no payoff and means nothing.
-Yata dons his own freaky mask and skateboards into the fray. His acting is slightly less bad than I expected it to be but Fushimi still facepalms over it.
-Fushimi's terminal sparks green and a tiny avatar appears in the corner. I think I liked the manga interpretation of Hisui's avatar guy better, there he was just a faceless completely unassuming avatar and here it's a little guy in a suit and glasses who looks more distinctive. I do like the way his voice is computerized but still obviously Hisui under it, which gets more pronounced the more he talks.
-At the end when the avatar goes all demony, I think this is another point for the manga which actually looked scary, businessman-avatar looks a bit more on the silly side. Though for Fushimi it was probably creepy either way (also it makes me wonder about Hisui on the other end of that transmission turning his avatar into a scary demon while his parrot eats his hair).
-Fushimi pulls the plug on his computer and then is off and running, yelling Yata's name over and over again, just so desperate to be sure Yata's all right.
-”Saruhiko!” “Misaki!” My heart.
-Yata drags Fushimi into a corner and Fushimi has that 'it's our—my loss' moment before they suddenly get attacked by party poppers again. One hits close to Fushimi's eye but it's just a random hit, which makes me wonder why they bothered even showing Aya before.
-I love Fushimi dragging Yata away here – he sounds just so harried, like here he's lost and he wasn't superior at all, and even worse he's put Misaki in danger and he just has no idea what to do.
-More fireworks come flying at them as Mikoto makes his grand appearance at last, in a giant ball of flame.
-I feel like the blocking of this scene was really weird, it seems like Fushimi and Yata should have been being swarmed by masked people but in order to save animation budget they just had random firecrackers flying around and then all of a sudden Saru's being dragged off by fangirls enemies. I wish it had been a little more frantic.
-Yata running towards Mikoto while yelling at him to save Saruhiko was perfect though, he's just so terrified for Fushimi's sake.
-I really loved the whole scene of Mikoto saving Fushimi, the way Fushimi looks up as the fire rains down and then Totsuka coming up behind him and holding him as lovely music plays, the atmosphere was so lovely (….though it kinda made me suddenly want some TotsuFushi. Just a little).
-Totsuka keeps hugging Fushimi, doing what we all wish we could.
-And we finally get a proper Sarumi hug! If nothing else at least the anime didn't punk out with a leg hug, we got a real hug this time.
-Fushimi and Yata head home in failure. Fushimi clenches his fist and you can see bruises on his fingers, my poor child.
-Back to the hospital where ding dong the dick is dead. The manga only implied that Kisa was a terrible mother who made her middle school age son collect his dead dad's body, the anime nicely confirms it by having her call Fushimi and tell him to do it.
-The manga was a little more abrupt and creepy with this scene, where Fushimi briefly sees Niki sitting up and mocking him. Even dead Niki is punchable.
-Also I like how even dead Niki's hair is perfectly styled. Are those bangs natural or what?
-Fushimi loses it and starts yelling at a corpse. It's almost like making your traumatized and abused middle schooler son retrieve his dad's dead body was a bad idea or something.
-A rubix cube falls from Niki's hand and--

-Okay, things that aren't baby Saru, right, there's still movie left.
-Yata and Aya talk in the rain, I'm mostly distracted by how cute Yata looks in a poncho.
-It feels a little depressing that the last we see of Aya is her sobbing in the rain. I don't think the novel's resolution for her was the best either but at least there was something like closure.
-'The first King said take this hand. The second King said take this sword.' Fushimi voiceovers once again as Yata and Fushimi stand side by side in front of Mikoto at Bar Homra. They reach for Mikoto's flaming hands and...roll credits. Wait, roll credits?
-So yeah the entire back half of the novel isn't in the movie, it ends with Sarumi joining Homra. I wonder how this plays to people who haven't read the novel, because to me it very much feels like this is a narrative without an actual ending. I think they tried to make a parallel with the 'take this hand/take this sword' part but without the latter half of the novel the opening scene actually feels somewhat out of place to me, like it has no real relation to the rest of the movie (I almost feel like since they were messing with the novel anyway they should have started the movie with Yata and Fushimi reaching for Mikoto's hand, then backtracking to how we got to this point and finally jumping forward just as Fushimi's hand is about to take Mikoto's and suddenly have him reaching for the sword instead, looking to the side as Yata's phantom hand next to him fades away).
-I think they were in somewhat of a difficult position with LSW because the novel's too long for the movie they were making so some things had to be cut – and to be fair I have no idea how I would get the whole novel into a movie of this length either – but I can't deny it doesn't suffer for losing that back half. LSW is the story of how Yata and Fushimi met and then how they broke apart, and the movie to me feels like it's building towards a resolution that doesn't happen. In that sense starting the movie with the Homra installation rather than S4 might have worked better, restructuring the source material so it's more focused around how the two of them became friends and joined Homra with only the hovering specter of future betrayal at the end.
-Similarly, as far as dropped plot threads go, I liked seeing Aya animated but she feels somewhat... extraneous in the movie as it is. Her presence is mainly necessary for kickstarting the airship plot but as the movie stands that's it, and her arc feels rushed with a lot of pointless moments – having her be at the surprise party, for example, but not having her attack Fushimi and then cutting out the two of them speaking at Niki's funeral and Aya talking about being Fushimi's enemy, all of which ultimately makes her appearance there in the movie be without any real payoff. It also means her final interaction in the movie is with Yata rather than Fushimi, even though her character is more of a foil for Fushimi than Yata and her relationship with him more complex.
-Other things they cut I didn't like: no anthill? Seeing babu Saru with the rubix cube was fine enough and I do think the movie made it pretty clear that Fushimi was being abused, but the anthill is so essential to Fushimi's worldview that I feel losing it downplays some of his trauma a bit. As sad as poor upset Fushimi's face was when Niki destroyed the rubix cube it really doesn't carry the punch that this image does:
Tumblr media
-Also this was a weakness in the novel too but once again, Yata gets really shafted by LSW. In the novel he at least has some presence in the first part of the novel but the movie completely removes everything about feeling left out of his family and even the part where he finds out his 'friends' hate him is a lot more downplayed than in the novel. A lot of what we see of Yata feels like it's from Fushimi's view, all those dazzling smiles, and it's wonderful from that perspective but I wish we'd gotten a little more of Yata's inner life here.
-On the good end, I am glad we at least got what we did of animated LSW. Middle school Yata is an utter gem of adorableness and I am so thankful to have him. The voice acting was also really great, Fukujun and Mamo knocked it out of the part (best in show probably goes to Mamo's 'Yataaa' during the scene where he's sick in bed, that was absolutely precious). Niki was complete trash in just the right way and I think the movie did a good job in conveying the dread and fear Fushimi feels towards him. If I had to rank adaptations I would probably put the anime last after the manga and the stage play but it's still a good watch and I'm looking forward to actually being able to, y'know, watch a nice legal stream with subs and then actually be able to buy it on disc some time in the next decade whenever Viz finally stops being jerks and give people who can't go running across the country to random cons on half a week's notice a chance to watch.
