Ground Control to Major Tomlinson by safetyfilm | T | 3343 What if Space Oddity's Major Tom was Major Louis W. Tomlinson, on his first endeavor to the moon?
Let's get physical by Kerasines | E | 3557 They scratch at their skin with their fingernails, barely long enough to be of any use, but enough to feel a slight sting, setting their nerve endings alight for a split‐second and eliciting a gasp – their mouth falls open without their say‐so, lungs sucking in the atmosphere, a mere reflex compelling them to do so. Oxygen. Many of Earth’s species require oxygen to live, including humans, they know that.

Only Been Here One Time by alienharry | nr | 9979 “Good morning, Liam. Harry.” Louis nods at them both and then cocks his head. “Are you aware you have four nipples, Harry?” Harry looks down at his chest, suddenly worried. He doesn’t know how many nipples humans have, but four must not be a usual amount. “Should I have six?” “Not unless you’ve a litter of kittens to feed.” - The Alien!Harry fic I was destined to write
Alien Roadtrip! by HelloAmHere | E | 16378 For the first time in his life, Louis doesn’t know where he’s going. Harry doesn’t mind. OR: roadtrip with desert feelings, too much snack food, and empty motels. Harry is definitely absolutely not an alien. That would be ridiculous.
wishing you were them by momentofclarity | T | 20442 “Hmm, um…” Harry takes a deep breath and then he looks into Louis’ eyes. Louis’ breath falters on the way up his throat. Harry’s eyes that were a murky green just moments ago now glimmer emerald and Louis can’t look away. “I promise I’ll explain everything just… just tell me if you feel this too or if… is this just… do you feel this?” The heat of the water makes his skin smart, but he lowers himself down below the surface anyway, allowing the sounds to dull in his ears and the light to break through the water. He stares up at the ceiling, eyes burning as he refuses to shut them, just lets himself linger there for a few precious moments. Then he tilts his head up until his face breaks the surface—the rest of him still submerged. This is the only place that even comes close to the weightlessness of them. The only place that makes it possible for him to recall even just a caress of what utter elation used to feel like.
A King Beside You by stylinsoncity | M | 25949 When the aliens invade, the last thing Louis expects is to fall in love.
Beautiful & Strange by graceling_in_a_suit | M | 40771 Over the top of Niall’s cackles, Louis heard Zayn say: “I think it’s…. A spaceship.” Louis and Niall turned to him in bafflement. Zayn put his hands up in surrender. “What! It’s clearly floating, so it’s not a rock, and it’s not made of wood or plastic or metal.” Louis didn’t even bother telling him that, no, of course it’s not a spaceship, this isn’t the x-files. OR: A story in which Harry is an alien looking to be found, and Louis does the finding. (And vice versa.)

hey, another child of dionysus here! do you think you could do a percy x daughter of dionysus one shot 🙏🏼🙏🏼
❝ Daddy doesn't like you ❞
Tumblr media
Pairing; Percy Jackson X Fem!Reader (Child of Dionysus) Warning; mentions of alcohol, making out, disobeying parents (okay, I lied about being none) heavily implied smut (Percy openly says it who am I kidding?) and nude bodies (nude bodies shouldn't always be sexual btw) Based on Camilla Cabello's song “My Oh My” (great song, hits different on Christmas Eve) A/N; tagging my love; @riordanness
Next: Tonight is Ours
Look, (Y/N) may of had a rebellious streak. She may of gotten hurt one too many times. She may of gotten drunk by accident more than once.
But she was a good kid!
And sleeping with the one boy your dad hates is never on someone's to-do list! Not even (Y/N)'s and she loved to piss off her dad!
Why did (Y/N) sleep with Percy? Okay, I can't answer that exactly—mainly because I don't know.
All of last night was a blur—first it was drunken karaoke—then spin the bottle—I think 7 minutes in heaven happened after Travis Stoll hooked up with Katie?
Either way; this was never meant to happen.
“Oh. My. Gods...” (Y/N) mumbled, her eyes widening in horror as she saw the one boy—THE ONE BOY—She wasn't supposed to sleep with... In her bed.
Her plum coloured satin sheets draped over his nude, sun-kissed skin. Her clothes on the floor, and his clothes near by, hanging off a chair by her desk.
She slowly arose from her laying position, trying oh so carefully not to wake him up. The sheets that covered her chest slid down, but (Y/N) caught it just in time.
An arm wrapped around her waist.
(Y/N) yelped at the sudden touch of a cold skinned arm. Percy pulled her back down, her head hitting the plush plum pillow and her face being buried into his bare chest.
Blood rushed to her cheeks. This would take a lot more than just giving dad some cheap wine to get off the hook...
“Stay.” Percy mumbled. A sleepy yet firm voice telling her to stay while he has a death grip on her hips.
You expect her to say no to that?
Their body's moulded around each other perfectly, their skins melting into each other's warmth. Percy nuzzled himself into the crook of (Y/N)'s neck.
“We shouldn't be here..” she muttered.
“I don't care.” Percy replied, shifting around slightly for a more comfortable position. “Who's to stop us?”
“My dad. He hates you.” (Y/N) answered. Small grape vines intertwined in her hair as her emotions deepened.
“He doesn't hate me.” Percy tried to think of an excuse for Dionysus' hatred towards the son of the sea. “He.. okay, yea; he hates me.”
(Y/N) made a face of 'ya don't say' before gliding her palms along the old gashes that scarred his body.
When Percy looked up to see out the window—it was still early morning. Nobody would be up at this hour—maybe the Apollo kids, but they're early birds, whether they like it or not.
“It's too early for anyone to be out.” He commented, before lying his head back down next to hers.
(Y/N) let out a hum, before burying her face in his chest. Thin grape vines wrapping around his bicep. Making him chuckle. “Is this your doing?”
(Y/N) let out purr. “Maybe.” She mumbled, noticing his chuckle and tired yet affectionate eyes. “Y'know... Daddy says you're annoying and arrogant. I don't see what he means.”
Percy let out a low toned laugh at her words. “That didn't stop me from sleeping with his only daughter now, did it?”
(Y/N) lightly blushed and a breathy laugh escaped out from her mouth. “No, it didn't.” She answered.
Both if them knew this wasn't supposed to happen. But if the god of pleasure couldn't handle a small fling that his daughter had, is he really the god of pleasure?
Percy's hands started to get more grabby, groping at her hips and moving his mouth down onto her collarbone.
(Y/N) hummed and giggled at his kisses, gripping at the sheets of her bed holding him gently as he placed passionate bites on her neck and shoulders.
A knock at the door echoed throughout the room. The two's pleasurable and sweaty session was put on hold as they perked up at the sound. Another knock was heard.
The pair froze. “Who's that?” Percy whispered.
“It's can't be Pollux, he's on a quest..” (Y/N) replied, before sitting up straight to look out the window.
Her father, Dionysus stood at the door, his arms crossed and his iconic outfit of a leopard print shirt and denim shorts was present.
“Fuck!” She cursed out, pushing the son of Poseidon off her and grabbing her clothes. She threw Percy's clothes over to him and he frantically got dressed.
“(Y/N)?” Mr. D called out from outside, he knocked again. Percy was now dressed in his CHB shirt and usual shorts, only differences his beaded necklace wasn't there—?
“Uhhh... In a minute, dad!” (Y/N) called back out to her father. She turned back to Percy and motioned to the window. “You need to leave, like right now!”
“C'mon.. he won't care!” Percy argued, before meeting (Y/N)'s glare. “Alright, I'll leave.” He said, before placing a quick kiss on her cheek and sneaking off out the window.
“Oh, and before I forget; thanks for the sex, vino.” He smirked before slipping out of the window. He asked her 'wine' in Spanish.
(Y/N) blushed before fixing up her hair. “Heyyy daddyy!” she said as she flung the door open, having a firm grip on the handle and a fake smile—hopefully he didn't notice.
“Hey, sweet. I've got to talk to you about something.” Mr. D said, wiping his feet on the doormat before entering. He walked over to her messy bed (somehow didn't notice the vines from before) before talking to his daughter.
“Look, (Y/N). You're a smart girl, right? So, you'd understand when I tell you—” Crunch. went beads under the wine God's foot. Dionysus looked down and lifted up his foot.
“Why are Peter Johnson's beads in your room?”
“Um.. I can explain...?”

Patrick despises when other people touch him.
However he has a girlfriend whose love language is touch.
Hugging him when he gets home from work
Holding one of his arms when they're out
Holding hands during a date
Resting her head on his shoulder when they're sitting on the couch together.
Based on Patrick's facial expressions, you'd think he'd hate it, but he doesn't actually mind.
It confuses him to no end as to why he likes it, considering he thinks he's nothing on the inside.

Okay, now I'm melting, beware of Fluff ahead! 💗✌
Imagine Central Park covered in snow. It was a beautiful evening, you and Patrick were walking and talking about various things.
Tumblr media
"Are you cold, (Y/N)?" Bateman asked suddenly, examining you from head to toe.
"No, why would I be?" With a cute smile you narrowed the distance between the two of you, your hands were close enough to make contact.
"This coat doesn't look warm enough," as soon as your fingers met, Patrick pulled his hand away and acted as if nothing had happened. "If you catch a cold, you will be punished for this."
"Oh, Patrick … you are such a meanie," you chuckled, feeling your feet slip a little as the walkway beneath you was covered in ice. "We should go ice-skating someday, you know."
Bateman's face almost dropped, but then he slowed down and watched you glide across the ice as if you were on the rink. You laughed like a child, raising your arms for balance. Skeptically, Patrick kept looking over at you, staying close because he had a bad feeling about your innocent fun.
"Hey Patrick, look!" You shouted, turning to face him as you pointed to the large Christmas tree on the opposite side of the park.
"(Y/N), watch your step!"
Just after he warned you, one of your feet slipped on the thick layer of ice and you were about to fall, but Bateman caught you from behind and cradled you in his arms like a warm blanket.
"Jesus, what did I tell you?" Patrick instinctively held you closer, inspecting you as if you were a picture in an art gallery. "What a reckless woman you are."
To be fair, you didn't really have time to be afraid, because everything happened too fast. "Sorry, sorry… I can be so clumsy sometimes," you cast your most innocent glance at him, and his face softened. "Thanks for saving me, tough guy."
In addition to your words, you grab his bicep and rub it through his stylish coat, making him almost growl with pleasure. Fascinated, Bateman just pulled you into a gentle kiss that soon turned into something more lustful, his brawny hands wrapped tightly around you like a vine.
Patrick was the first to break the kiss as a loud sound of fireworks echoed around you and you looked up to see the beautiful ornaments painted on the dark sky.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" your arms were still around his neck. "I always love Christmas Eve. There's something magical about it."
"It's beautiful, but nothing compared to you," Bateman mused, suddenly taking your small palm into his large one. "I think it's better to keep you close, since you love to act like a child."
You were a little shocked by his gesture, but you only squeezed his palm tighter, letting your fingers intertwine.
When the fireworks ended, the two of you resumed your walk, holding hands, and somehow it seemed so natural and yet so unbelievable, but you would think about it later because now you wanted this moment to last forever.

In the heart of a quaint town nestled amidst rolling hills and whispering trees stood a venerable old church, its weathered stones bearing the weight of centuries of prayers and whispered confessions. Within its hallowed halls, amidst the flickering candlelight and the solemn hymns, YN found herself seated in one of the wooden pews, her gaze fixed upon the altar where Heeseung, her once-beloved, stood exchanging vows with another.
The echoes of memories danced around her, haunting whispers of a love that once bloomed like the roses in the churchyard, now withered and forgotten. YN's heart ached as she watched Heeseung, his eyes alight with joy as he clasped hands with his bride. How she longed to be the one standing by his side, to feel his touch, to hear his voice whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a golden glow over the quiet park where Heeseung and YN sat side by side on a weathered bench, their laughter mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves overhead. They were just teenagers then, their hearts as untamed as the wind that swept through the trees, yet already they knew that their bond was something rare and precious. Heeseung's hand brushed against YN's as they shared stolen glances beneath the fading light, his gaze soft and earnest as he spoke. "You know, YN, I've been thinking…" "What is it, Heeseung?" YN asked, turning to face him with a curious smile playing upon her lips. "I think… I think we're meant to be each other's end games," Heeseung said, his voice barely above a whisper as if afraid to speak the words aloud. YN's heart skipped a beat at his words, her breath catching in her throat. "End games?" Heeseung nodded, his eyes shining with a determination that belied his tender age. "Yeah, you know, like in those movies we watch. The ones where the two people are meant to be together no matter what happens. That's us, YN. We're each other's end games." A soft smile tugged at YN's lips as she reached out to take Heeseung's hand in hers, their fingers intertwining like vines in a hidden garden. "I like the sound of that, Heeseung. You and me, against the world." Heeseung's grin widened at her words, his heart swelling with a love so fierce it threatened to consume him whole. "And YN, one day… one day, I'm going to marry you. I promise." YN's cheeks flushed with a rosy hue as she leaned in closer, her breath warm against Heeseung's ear. "I'll hold you to that, Heeseung. I'll hold you to that." And in that fleeting moment, beneath the fading light of the setting sun, Heeseung and YN made a vow to each other that would echo through the corridors of time. For they knew that their love was not bound by the constraints of reality but rather by the unyielding force of destiny, guiding them ever closer to their shared end game of forever.
But fate had other plans, tearing them apart like pages ripped from a cherished book. YN's mind wandered back to the days when they first met, a chance encounter in the bustling streets of the town square. Heeseung had been a beacon of light in her dark world, his smile a balm to her wounded soul. They had shared dreams and secrets beneath the stars, promising each other forever in whispered vows of love.
Yet, as swiftly as the seasons changed, so too did their love unravel. Distance and time became their adversaries, tearing at the fragile threads that bound them together. And despite their desperate attempts to cling to what they once had, the inevitable tide of life swept them apart, leaving YN adrift in a sea of loneliness and regret.
Now, as she sat in the quiet sanctuary of the church, YN couldn't help but wonder what could have been. Would they have found their way back to each other if circumstances had been different? Or was their love nothing more than a fleeting moment in the tapestry of time?
As Heeseung stood at the altar, his heart pounding in his chest, his eyes scanned the crowded church until they landed on YN, sitting amidst the congregation. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as he gazed at her, his breath catching in his throat. He hadn't expected to see her there, a haunting reminder of the past he had tried so hard to forget.
A wave of sadness washed over Heeseung as he realized that YN was not meant to be a guest at this wedding but rather the bride by his side. His mother's fondness for YN had prompted the invitation, a gesture of kindness that now felt like a cruel twist of fate.
Heeseung's gaze lingered on YN, his mind drifting back to the days when they had dreamed of a future together, promising each other forever beneath the stars. How different things might have been if they had stayed true to those vows, if he had been brave enough to defy the odds and follow his heart.
But now, as he stood on the precipice of a new beginning, Heeseung knew that he had to let go of the past and embrace the future that lay before him. With a heavy sigh, he tore his gaze away from YN and forced himself to focus on the ceremony unfolding before him.
Just as he began to regain his composure, the priest cleared his throat, drawing Heeseung's attention back to the present. He offered a sheepish apology, blaming his momentary lapse in concentration on nerves.
The priest chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with mirth. "Ah, young love. It has a way of making even the bravest among us tremble with fear. But fear not, my son. For love conquers all, even nerves on a wedding day."
Heeseung managed a weak smile in response, grateful for the priest's lighthearted jest. But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had just witnessed a glimpse of the life he could have had with YN, a life that now existed only in the shadows of his memories. YN's heart clenched at the sight, tears shimmering in her eyes like pearls in the morning dew. She knew then that she had lost him forever, condemned to forever be a silent observer in the theater of his life.
As the ceremony continued, YN found herself overcome with a flood of emotions, tears welling up in her eyes like raindrops on a stormy night. She tried to blink them away, to hide the ache in her heart behind a veil of smiles, but the weight of her unspoken sorrow threatened to consume her.
To those around her, it seemed as though YN was shedding tears of joy, her emotions overflowing at the sight of her dear friend finding happiness. But Heeseung's mother, seated beside her, knew the truth behind those glistening tears. With a gentle understanding born of a mother's intuition, she reached out and pulled YN into a tender side hug, offering silent comfort in her time of need.
YN leaned into the embrace, grateful for the warmth and compassion of Heeseung's mother. In that moment, she felt a sense of solace amidst the turmoil of her emotions, knowing that she was not alone in her silent grief.
Across the aisle, Heeseung couldn't help but steal a glance at YN, his heart breaking at the sight of her tear-stained cheeks. He longed to reach out to her, to wipe away her tears and whisper words of reassurance, but he knew that he had no right to intrude upon her pain.
While Heeseung's heart was torn between the past and the present, his bride, unaware of the turmoil within him, cast a sidelong glance in his direction, her brow furrowed with concern. She had noticed his momentary lapse in focus, his gaze lingering on someone in the crowd, and it stirred a flicker of annoyance within her.
As the ceremony progressed, she leaned in close to Heeseung, her voice a hushed whisper against his ear. "Is everything alright, Heeseung? You seem distracted."
Heeseung forced a smile, his mind still lingering on YN and the memories they had shared. "I'm fine. Just lost in the moment, that's all."
As the priest's solemn voice echoed through the hallowed halls of the church, announcing the pivotal moment in the ceremony, a heavy silence descended upon the congregation.
Should anyone present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
All eyes turned towards the altar, anticipation hanging thick in the air like the scent of incense. Heeseung's heart pounded in his chest as he glanced back and forth between YN and his bride, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. In that fleeting moment, he felt the weight of a thousand regrets pressing down upon him, each one urging him to speak the words that had been left unspoken for far too long.
Just as the priest was about to continue, his lips parting to recite the sacred vows that would bind Heeseung and his bride together for eternity, Heeseung's voice rang out, clear and resolute in the silence.
"I… I have something to say."
The congregation held its breath as Heeseung took a step forward, his heart pounding in his chest like a drumbeat. His eyes locked with YN's, a silent plea lingering in their depths, begging for understanding.
"I… I cannot continue with this marriage," Heeseung declared, his voice trembling with emotion. "I cannot pledge my life to someone when my heart belongs to another."
Gasps of shock rippled through the church as Heeseung's confession hung in the air like a heavy fog. His bride's eyes widened in disbelief, her hand flying to her mouth in a gesture of stunned silence.
But amidst the chaos, amidst the whispers and the murmurs of disbelief, YN remained perfectly still, her gaze locked with Heeseung's, a single tear shimmering in the corner of her eye.
For in that moment, she knew that the love they had shared had never truly died, that the bond between them was stronger than the vows spoken in haste and the promises made in vain. And as Heeseung stepped down from the altar and made his way towards her, his heart laid bare for all to see, YN reached out and took his hand in hers, silently promising to stand by his side through whatever trials lay ahead.
As Heeseung's supposed bride's voice rose in a crescendo of anger and disbelief, her words cutting through the air like a knife, Heeseung's family remained steadfast in their support. His parents, sibling, and relatives stood by his side, their expressions a mixture of determination and defiance in the face of opposition.
Heeseung's supposed father-in-law joined the chorus of protests, his voice booming with indignation as he demanded an explanation for this sudden betrayal. But Heeseung's family remained unmoved, their loyalty unwavering as they stood united in their belief that love should never be sacrificed on the altar of convention.
"You can't do this, Heeseung! You made a commitment to me!" she cried, her voice cracking with emotion as she struggled to comprehend the sudden turn of events.
Heeseung's supposed father-in-law joined in the fray, his face flushed with rage as he pointed an accusatory finger at Heeseung. "You're making a grave mistake, boy! You'll regret this for the rest of your life!"
But amidst the cacophony of voices, Heeseung remained steadfast, his gaze fixed upon YN, his heart unyielding in its resolve. As he reached her side, he took her hand in his, his touch gentle yet firm.
"I'm sorry, YN," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he turned to face her. "I couldn't go through with it. Not when my heart belongs to you."
YN's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she looked up at Heeseung, her heart swelling with a mixture of love and gratitude. "I understand, Heeseung. And I'm here for you, no matter what."
Amidst the chaos, Heeseung's mother stepped forward, her voice calm yet firm as she addressed the gathering. "Love cannot be forced, nor can it be contained within the confines of tradition. Our son has made his choice, and we stand by him, regardless of the consequences."
Heeseung's father nodded in agreement, his gaze steady as he met the accusing stares of those who questioned their decision. "We raised our son to follow his heart, to be true to himself above all else. And if his heart leads him to YN, then so be it."
Heeseung's supposed bride's protests faltered in the face of such unwavering conviction. With a final glare directed at Heeseung and YN, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the church, her dreams of a fairytale wedding shattered by the harsh reality of love's unpredictable whims.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the confrontation faded away, Heeseung stood beside YN, his hand clasped tightly in hers, a sense of peace washing over him like a gentle breeze. For in that moment, surrounded by the love and support of his family, he knew that he had made the right choice, that true love was worth any sacrifice, no matter how great.
And as they walked out of the church together, hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, Heeseung and YN knew that their love was a force to be reckoned with, a bond that could withstand even the harshest storms. For in the end, love always finds a way, lighting the path towards a future filled with hope, promise, and the sweetest kind of redemption.
For sometimes, love is not measured by the grand gestures or the elaborate ceremonies, but by the courage to speak the truth and follow the heart's deepest desires, no matter the cost. And in the quiet sanctuary of the church, amidst the echoes of a love that refused to be silenced, Heeseung and YN found their own happily ever after, bound together by the timeless threads of fate and the unyielding power of true love.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the confrontation faded away, Heeseung and YN found themselves standing outside the church, the cool breeze of the evening wrapping around them like a comforting embrace. They turned to each other, their eyes locking in a silent exchange of understanding and gratitude.
Heeseung was the first to speak, his voice filled with emotion as he reached out to cup YN's cheek tenderly. "You remember what I told you, right? That I'd marry you and only you."
A soft smile tugged at the corners of YN's lips as she leaned into his touch, her heart swelling with affection. "Yeah, I remember. You almost did, didn't you?"
Heeseung's expression softened as he shook his head, his eyes glistening with sincerity. "It wasn't by choice, YN. You know that. I never wanted to hurt you."
YN reached out and took Heeseung's hand in hers, squeezing it gently as she met his gaze with unwavering understanding. "I know, Heeseung. And I'm not blaming you. Sometimes life just has a way of throwing us curveballs."
Heeseung nodded, a sense of relief washing over him as he realized that YN harbored no ill will towards him. "I'm just glad you're here, YN. With me."
YN's smile widened as she leaned in closer, pressing a tender kiss to Heeseung's lips. "Me too, Heeseung. Me too."
And as they stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight, Heeseung and YN knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, hand in hand, united in their love and their unwavering commitment to each other. For in the end, their bond was stronger than any obstacle, a beacon of hope and resilience in a world filled with uncertainty.

To Build A Home

Did I say I was taking a break from writing because I need to focus on my training? Yes. Did I write a quick blurb about how much Abby loves you while I was on the treadmill today? Also, yes. The title comes from a song that will forever make me sob, but you probably already know. Cheers, you beautiful souls.
Abby’s straightforward nature means she often struggles with nuance and subtlety in her interactions with you.
There are certain instances where misunderstandings occur, leading her to withdraw into her own thoughts rather than pursuing clarification. Occasionally, she requires solitude to recharge and reflect, particularly when haunted by distressing memories.
In these moments of her deep, introspective silence, you get anxious about the state of your connection. It can feel like she’s not pleased with you, or that the bond between you is slipping, but that assumption couldn’t be further from the truth.
Experiencing romantic love with you, the first and only woman in her life, helped her envision how extraordinary it could all be, heightening her fear of losing something so precious.
Her admiration for you grows with each passing year.
“Are we okay?” you ask. “We’re good, right?”
You push your food around your plate, the sound of your fork clinking against the porcelain adding to your unease.
It’s possible that your sensitive heart is over analyzing her quiet disposition, but you can’t bear to let your concerns fester unchecked.
Surprised by your question, Abby gazes at you intently from across the table.
“What do you mean?” she asks.
Taking the time to ponder, you understand that being transparent is the optimal way to handle the situation.
“Do I still make you happy?”
Abby settles back into her chair with a frown, her mind racing as she searches for the perfect response to convey the extent of her fondness for you. Every now and then, you find comfort in her words of reassurance, but for Abby, actions hold more weight, especially at a time like this.
“Come outside with me,” she says. Rising from her chair, she reaches out to help you up. “There’s something I want to show you.”
Leading you by the hand, she intertwines her fingers with yours and takes you from the backyard into the forest.
When you initially crossed paths with Abby fifteen years ago, she was meandering the trails of your Montana ranch, stirring up dust with each heavy step. Seeking sanctuary from the chaos and uncertainty that followed the fall of her group, all she wanted was a place to hang her hat. You damn near shot it off her head, startled by the unexpected visitor. Ages had passed since the previous one, excluding the infected, and you learned early on to trust nobody in this dangerous world.
Glimpsing her now, beautifully etched by fine lines and battle scars, it’s impossible to fathom your life without her.
“Where are you taking me?” you ask.
Her touch is delicate as she pulls your hand closer, pressing a sweet kiss onto the back of it.
“Hold your horses.”
“Is this where I meet my maker?” you tease.
When she doesn’t answer right away, you give her a playful nudge, and she hums in response.
“Abigail, if you’re planning to bury me out here, it’s only polite to give me a heads up.”
As her eyes lock with yours, she gently nudges you in return.
“Look up,” she says.
Above you, a sturdy lumber structure hovers thirty feet in the air, cradled by the protective arms of gnarled, ancient trees. Vines adorn the wooden walls, clusters of white flowers blooming throughout, forming a natural tapestry that drapes down the sides. You notice a warm ochre glow seeping through gaps in the planks, revealing the secret hiding place of all those fairy lights you thought you misplaced.
A wrap-around porch with its intricate, entangled branches draws your attention to a rope ladder, inviting you to climb and explore.
“Abby,” you murmur.
With her bottom lip caught between her teeth, she restlessly twirls her hands.
“Do you like it?” she asks.
The realization hits you suddenly that she must have invested months into this project, overwhelming for her, given her fear of heights.
“You said you always wanted one as a kid, so I thought—it’s never too late, right?” she continues.
While suspicions of her growing tired of you preoccupied your mind, Abby was venturing off to build you a whimsical haven in the trees as a token of her affection. Just when you thought you couldn’t love her more than you already do, she swoops in to prove you wrong.
With your fists clenched around her shirt, you pull her into you.
“I thought you were getting sick of me,” you confess.
“Never,” Abby whispers. “We’re just getting started.”

yessss that defo answers my questions! ur thoughts on compassion & community intertwined w rebellion definitely show up in ur art lol. something more specific i have been curious abt is ur version of the endings of each specific hunger games & ur characterization/portrayal of the victors at those points! if u have any more thoughts abt any of those characters or their games id love to hear.... im also very not neurotypical abt hunger games
For sure!! But this is a novel and a half so I apologize in advance (also most of this is from memory so anyone can correct me if I'm getting any details wrong)
((TW: For visual depictions of Blood, Gore, and Wounds))
I realized I'd seen barely any art showing what the victors would have looked like when they won their games. They were all just kids and I feel like it can be easy to forget that sometimes
For all of them, I made the background one of their main "weapons" but tried to make it look like its turning back on them instead since there are no victors as Haymitch said.
I'll try to explain them all more in depth individually going in the order I drew them:
Finnick Odair, 65th Games:
Tumblr media
His main weapons were his trident and nets that he made with vines. His background is one of the nets ready to trap him.
Finnick was the youngest victor ever at only 14. I really really wanted to emphasize just how little that is. (Especially since we know exactly why the Capitol loved him from the start…) Once I actually drew him looking that little I had to step away for a bit because I made myself too sad…
Outside of just how horrific his age is as a concept, I tried to think about what circumstances would lead to him actually winning when surrounded by older tributes. I think he would have had to avoid any kind of fight he didn't have the upper hand in. We know that he got the most expensive sponsor gifts in the history of the games (a trident), so he probably got plenty of sponsors outside of that as well. Because of that I doubt he needed to go looking for supplies much if ever so it was easy to avoid people there. He was also probably in a career pack, despite his age, due to his training and his popularity, and they would have hunted other tributes down together much like the one we saw in the first book (safer in numbers). Once it was narrowing down and the pack broke is when I think he started catching people in nets. All of that is a long winded way of saying that's why, unlike the other victors I drew, I only show him with minor cuts and bruises.
Originally I was going to draw him with a kind of strained smile like he was acting for an audience from the start. But I decided I actually think its sadder if he believed he was popular because of his skill and strategy as a fighter and only learned the whole truth after he won and that's when he started acting more for the camera. Instead I gave him a more muted despair kind of look, like his world is crashing down. One of my favorite parts about the movies, mainly THG and ABOSAS, is when they give the career tributes at the end a moment of realization about what they've done, and I wanted to give Finnick his. I'm a person that believes Finnick had to have volunteered for his games. I think he would have legitimately believed in the propaganda the career districts were fed and had a bit of a (very middle school boy) ego about his abilities. (I was NOT expecting to write so much about his lmao)
Enobaria, 62nd Games
Tumblr media
She's most well known for ripping someones throat out with her teeth. (Her background is her sharpened teeth getting ready to eat her.) This is treated by The Capitol, and by Katniss, as grotesque and terrifying blood lust (Which obviously the Capitol loves her for). However, and I'm not at all the first to say it, that sounds more like a terrified and desperate attempt to survive a fight she was losing and an example of hysterical strength. We know that Career packs have had bloody betrayals in the past and I can see Enobaria being a part of one of them. Enobaria doesn't have a canonical age, but I decided to put her on the younger side (15 or 16.) I can imagine some of the older, bigger tributes deciding she was the weakest link towards the end and that was the result. I tried to make the blood around her mouth and down her shirt look more faded, like she tried desperately to wipe it off (Also I had to step away from drawing again after I drew her little tooth gap)
I think she probably leaned into the bloodthirsty image afterwards as a way to protect herself and (maybe even started to believe it too)
Annie Cresta, 70th Games
Tumblr media
Annie's known for losing her mind after seeing her district partner decapitated in front of her. After that, she ran off and hid until the game makers started an earth quake, which made the large dam in the arena break and cause a huge flood. Annie was the only survivor because she was the strongest swimmer. So I decided to make her background dark water that's churning up and over her head. I also think it can work well as a way to show her mental state in the moment (and afterwards) Annie is actually one of my favorite characters in the series and I've been writing out a plan for a possible comic series about her that'll go more in depth about my headcanons for her. (when I say comic series, I mean sketches and oneshots, not a full thing lmao) It wouldn't take place during her games (outside of a few flashbacks when I need more context), instead it would start at her Victory Tour and go into her first (and last) year as a mentor for the 71st Games. Which is a perfect segue to-
Johanna Mason, 71st Games
Tumblr media
Johanna is actually first mentioned early on in the first book when Katniss is wondering if the reason Peeta is crying is because he plans to act weak and helpless as a strategy in the games. (Katniss, he just found out he has to fight in a murder tournament with his crush. He's just Sad.) She bases her theory on Johanna, who pretended she was a "sniveling, cowardly fool" in the arena until the final stretch of the games when she proved to be deadly with an axe.
OR….. Katniss is an unreliable narrator and Johanna was actually a terrified kid from a district with so few victors that she was the only name in the bowl for the Quarter Quell… This is totally just a personal headcanon of mine tho lol. I think there would have been a point in her games where she realized she actually had a chance and that's when she seemingly had a huge character turn around. Maybe there was a infighting with the careers that ended in multiple deaths and there was only a few left along with any other tributes hiding away like her. Maybe she poked around what was left of their camp, found the axe, and felt strength from her district.
Her background was a little harder for me. Just slapping a big axe behind her felt cheesy. But them I remembered her saying there was no one left that she loved. So instead I put trees that could represent her loved ones (Two fully grown trees, a younger "teenage" tree, and a sapling) that are in the process of being cut down.
Haymitch Abernathy, 50th Games
Tumblr media
Don't worry, I'm almost done. I don't have as much to say about Haymitch since we know SO much about what happened in his games. But his background was probably the hardest for me. His main weapon was invisible after all. I thought maybe the axe that was used, but again, That would look cheesy. I tried (and kinda failed imo) to draw the cliff side the force field was on instead. But the main thing I did was split the three panels I had on the previous drawings into six for two reasons. 1: Because he had to face twice as many tributes in order to win and 2: Being the only victor of a district that's tributes are seen as fodder for the blood bath means he had to meet and watch the death of twice as many kids every year.

Tryna wash away all the blood I've spilt, this lust is a burden that we both share
Two sinners can't atone from a lone prayer, souls tied, intertwined by our pride and guilt
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time, you and I drink the poison from the same vine
Oh, I love it and I hate it at the same time, hidin' all of our sins from the daylight
Just like most Na’vi, you’ve always felt comfortable at night. It always felt to you like the best time to be alive, is when the plants came to life alongside you, in iridescent hues and kaleidoscopes of vibrant colours. You’ve always liked how the village quieted, much like your mind, and how you were able to almost disappear in the dead of the forest, your body perfectly camouflaged in the trees and shrubbery surrounding you, glowing lights reflecting on your lustrous skin. It was heaven on Pandora, and it was yours to take, yours to enjoy, yours to experience.
It didn’t feel like that right now, as you were stalking towards the village with a hand around your neck, tears falling down your face, a forlorn disposition plaguing your mind, fear protruding uninvited through the stalks of your thoughts. You kept glancing behind you, trying to see if Neteyam was following you, and felt mildly soothed when the village came abruptly into focus. You let out a breath of relief that you felt has been lodged in your throat for too long and started running towards your tent, exalted when you reached it and pushed the flap closed, almost considering glueing it shut with the sap from the tree Na’vi use in building furnishings for the village and their homes. You couldn’t stop the scream that escaped you as a voice you didn’t expect to hear in a home you thought was deserted spoke up, filling the much needed silence.
“Is everything alright, Tanhí? Why are you so jumpy?” O'ì'en’s calming tone did very little to soothe you, but you knew you needed to settle your mind, so as to not raise suspicion. Any hint of what transpired between you and Neteyam would lead to complications you didn’t want to have to deal with, not when you had it all under control. There was no need to bring anyone into a war that only concerned two people, that would lead to destruction and ache you didn’t want anybody you cared about to have to experience. You had it all under control.
The reason for your unsightly fight with Neteyam brought back the conversation between yourself and Mo’at, that you tried your best to push away from your mind, that now came back in full swing as you finally took him in, as you knew you would have to tell him, and deal with the consequences of Eywa's vision and your decision to not talk the Tsa'hik out of it as a way to get revenge on the man who hurt you deeper and deeper with each day that passed. You and O'ì'en never made your relationship official, and never really even talked about it seriously, but there was no need - it was obvious enough. It was quite clear to most people that although undefined right now, your future was shaping up before your eyes, and its shape looked a lot like mating before Eywa, it looked a lot like kids and laughter and happiness and all the good things you thought you wanted, that you wanted to want every day of your life. You didn’t know whether you were convinced, deep down, but either way, you were always willing to try. Now, it seemed you wouldn't even get the chance.
“Everything’s fine, yawne. Just didn’t expect to see you here.” You thanked Eywa silently for the darkness in your home that hid your new-found bruises and closed the distance between you two, smiling as genuinely as you could bring yourself to, and reaching out to stroke his cheeks, the smile didn’t feel as forced when he leaned into your touch, closing his eyes and almost purring in comfortable contentment.
“I just came to check on you after the mission. You were… impressive. As you always are. It means so much, watching you out there, seeing what you’re capable of, how incredible you are, knowing the future moth-“ his eyes widened as his words registered in his mind and he stopped, and your expression couldn’t have been far removed from his in this moment, that felt all of a sudden thick with anticipation and nerves, with tension and fear. You didn’t know which emotions came from you.
“Ma O'ì'en…I…”
Both your heads snapped in the direction of the entrance, that was pushed open aggressively by a tall, muscular figure that you would recognise in every dream and every nightmare, in every waking moment, that you wished you didn’t. Neteyam stilled in his tracks as he noticed the scene in front of him, intimate and personal and clearly not for his eyes to see, and you felt a growl blossom in your throat that you had to swallow, if not for anything, for your still unflinching desire to keep this whole ordeal a secret for as long as you could.
“I’m interrupting.”
“Yes, yo-“
“No, Neteyam, future Olo’eyktan. Is there anything wrong?”
“I need to talk to her. About the… mission.”
“I shall leave you to it, then. Please give your family my regards.”
“Thank you, O'ì'en. I appreciate it.”
“No, yawne, you don’t have to leave. I can talk to Neteyam tomorrow. It’s late, anyhow.”
“Tanhi, we’ll… resume our conversation tomorrow, alright?” He gets close to you and his lips find your forehead for just a second, before he takes his leave, and you sigh, dread filling you at the thought of being in such proximity with the man that took so much space in your mind, the man that hurt you beyond words, that you would never be able to forgive.
“How touching.”  his voice is filled with contempt and malice, and it hurts, still to this day, this tone you knew so familiarly, that you never managed to get used to, like a shadow following you in the night you would never be able to escape.
“Get the fuck out of my tent, Neteyam.”
“He seems to have taken the news of our impending doom of a mateship very well. I’m impressed.”
“Leave, Neteyam.”
“You would think he would leave out of here kicking and screaming, that he would punch me and challenge me to First Blood for the chance to keep you… maybe you’re not as big a catch as I thought.”
His steps were quiet, but determined, as he traversed the length of the tent and got close to you, until he took up your entire field of view and you hissed aggressively, your tail twirling so much it was almost hurting, as did your ears, pushed back until they were flat, and you removed your knife, resting in a sheath on your chest and held it a couple of millimetres from his neck.
“I said… leave.”
“Oh.. yawne, I doubt you’re going to kill me, but you’re more than welcome to try.”
He had no time to say anything else as the knife made contact with his smooth skin, and in one fell swoop, a thin stripe of blood emerged from his chest, and started dripping down his body. You looked at it, at the clean, bright red liquid spilling, then raised your gaze to his face, that wasn’t shocked or scared, or even angry, but alive with a glimmer of something you couldn’t quite place in his eyes and a lazy smirk on his face. He shrugged.
“Guess I deserved that.”
“So… why wasn’t your little boyfriend upset about our arrangement? Cause the way I see it, this means either you just conveniently left it out of the conversation, or it’s because you are actually planning on talking yourself out of it to my parents.”
Your heart was booming in your chest as his eyes bore into yours and the intensity in them scared you, but not because of any elicited fear, but of how your body reacted to it and how you didn’t know what those feelings plaguing you were, or how to make them stop.
“Leave.”
“Now why would you not tell him about it? Are you scared? Scared he’ll find out you’ll finally get to be with a real man for once?”
You chuckled.
“Is that supposed to be you? That is funny, Neteyam, congratulations! I will let Lo’ak know that you managed to actually make a good joke for once in your life. He’ll be floored.” His expression darkened momentarily, but he regained his composure as quickly as he lost it.
“If that’s not it, then, that means you will talk to my parents. I knew you couldn’t be dumb enough to accept this stupid little forced deal.” You wanted nothing more than to wipe that stupid little smirk off his face, and fortunately for you, you knew just the way to do it.

“Well, why, Neteyam, as much as the thought of being mated to you horrifies me beyond my wildest nightmares, it’s nothing compared to the joy I get thinking of how miserable you’re going to be if I don’t talk to your parents and have to watch the choice slip past your grasp, not that it was there to begin with, or the joy of - ah, there it is - the joy fading from your eyes as you realise you will have to tell your stupid little girlfriend that you and her, will never, ever happen, and she will never be Tsa’hik, and watch as you realise that everything I foretold is, in fact, true.”
It was your turn to smirk, widely and cruelly, as his smile faded a little more with every word you spoke, until it was completely removed and replaced with a snarl, deep scowl and menacing canines on full display for you, but you were no longer scared. No, pure adrenaline was rushing through your veins, heightened by the desire to hurt him, to see him crumble in front of you, to see him suffer a sliver of all the hurt he’s caused you over the years.
“Listen me very carefully, Neteyam. For one reason or another, you have made it your life purpose to make mine miserable, and only mine. I don’t want this to happen, I really don’t. I would rather be with any other man on this planet before I even considered looking in your direction, but I will make you pay for all the hurt you’ve caused me. And I have no problem burning in the pits of what Jake calls Hell, if I get to watch you burn with me.” You smiled a sweet smile, running your finger over the cut that was still leaking blood, trailing it down his abdomen, over his abs, and you ignored once more how the feel of his muscular body made shivers emanate from your fingertip, propagating throughout your whole being. You also ignored how his body shuddered under your touch. “So you and me, we’re stuck together, and there’s nothing you can do about it. And I will enjoy every moment of my life in which I get to see your life fall apart before you and know that I made it happen. So this little charming act you’re pulling, it’s all in vain. It’s all in vain. Now get out.”
You didn’t wait for him to answer you, but turned around and started preparing for bed. You removed the silk top covering your chest, and heard a sharp inhale as his eyes took in the scene, and your breath ceased, wondering if he was going to leave, like you told him to, wondering if you wanted him to. Eventually, the cold sting of the wind blowing hit your back, as he opened the flap to your tent and exited it, and all at once, it all hit you and you felt more alone, more forlorn than you ever have, and less sure than ever about your crazy, all-consuming schemes.
You woke up with doubt filling your mind and the headache to match, and you wondered if you did in fact have to leave the comfort and safety of your tent for the life that you knew would be waiting to tear you slowly at the seams as soon as you left it. Dreams plagued your subconscious last night, floating in the ether, waiting to be grabbed and inspected by an uncertain mind, and in your state, they were, and turned over onto each one of their pretty facets, bringing back memories you struggled to forget, that hurt you in their innocence and beauty, in their absence, in their contrast to your life right now and the relationship you still mourned to this day on odd occasions, on harder days, like yesterday, and like today.
In those dreams, Neteyam’s eyes gleamed with excitement and love, instead of annoyance and hatred. In those dreams, his hands were warm as his fingers intertwined with yours on the practice grounds, instead of bruising and calloused as they snuffed the breath out of your throat. In dreams, his smile brightened your whole world and made the pain of training and the struggle of excellence not only bearable, but barely-felt. You couldn’t even remember the last time Neteyam smiled your way, a true smile, a gummy smile, a playful smile he still flashed most people, he still flashed his family, and friends, and clan, all of which you used to be, none of which you still are to him.
You wondered sometimes, very rarely, if he ever thinks about those times, too. If in his undivided quest to hurt you and one-up you, in his desire to see you fail and the joy he seems to derive from it, you wondered, did he ever think about those times, too? Does he ever remember you, innocent and young, full of spark and happiness, looking up at him like he was a planet and you were just his moon, trapped in his gravitational pull, circling his orbit, offering him solace and safety from the rest of the universe, from all the meteors that always tried to take too much out of him, too quickly. He used to love you, and want to protect you, he was there when your parents died, he was there to help you mourn and heal. Does he remember what you used to mean to him?
As you made your way to the Sullys' tent, you were greeted by shouting and a seemingly unending back-and-forth, but the voices involved in it weren't the ones you expected - not when they weren't Lo'ak and Kiri's, who you found bickering almost on the daily, who you were used to having to mediate peace treaties for, but instead, Neteyam and Jake's, both angry and raising above the peaceful chatter of the village that was just coming to life in light of a new day.
"- and this is just the way it is, Neteyam. This isn't like you! You, more than all the rest of your siblings combined, have always been able to see the bigger picture, to understand that sacrifices sometimes are necessary for the greater good. You have always been the one who was able to have perspective. What the hell happened, son?"
"What happened is you're trying to get me to mate with someone who I hate, who I will never be able to accept. I had a chosen mate! I had a life, and a plan, and now it's all over. Now you're telling me I have to give her every part of me, the most intimate parts of me, my children, my future. Her!"
You cringed at the way he said your name - like a blasphemy, like a curse. Spitting it like it was blood and bile mixing together on his tongue, coating his mouth, like the vile word hurt sitting in his throat. and he desperately needed to get it out before it could do any more damage.
"This isn't my decision, son. And it's not yours, either. It's Eywa's. You know she's never wrong, you know there's a reason for this. She seems to see it, too, why can't you at least try?"
There was silence in the tent and you felt guilty for prying, your body crouched next to the tent and your ear against its woven fabric, but not guilty enough to stop. Jake sighed loudly. You heard Neytiri's calmer, more even tone take over.
"Ma 'itan... you used to love this girl. She used to be your best friend, you used to do everything together. I know things have changed between you, but deep down, you're both the same two people you used to be. You both can find each other again, you just have to try. Why won't you try?"
Neteyam huffed and the sudden commotion made you jolt back, hiding in the corner as he pushed passed the closed flap, muttering mostly to himself as he left the tent, and his family, behind.
"You know damn well why."
You let out a breath you've been holding for the entirety of the conversation, as you came out of hiding and entered the tent, trying your best not to look like you overheard the entirety of that conversation that although about you, clearly was not intended for your ears to hear. Even if you hadn't heard the whole thing, it would still be obvious you were on their minds and on their lips as their eyes scrambled in shame and embarrassment, the room drowned in awkwardness and heaviness none of you could quite shake, none of you could quite swim in gracefully. Neytiri spoke first, her motherly instincts kicking in as she noticed your pained expression, that as hard as you tried, you couldn't hide from the people you loved so much, from the people that knew you so well.
"Ma 'ite, come, sit. We saved you food." she took you gently by the shoulders and pushed you to the middle of the room, and then down until you sat next to Lo'ak, who gave you a pitying look and a half-smile, an underwhelming attempt at telling you he's heard the news, and he feels sorry for you. Lo'ak more than most people knew how it felt to be stuck to Neteyam, how it felt to know that, no matter what happened or where life took him, he'd always live in his big brother's shadow, unable to escape his majestic, adept, irritating grasp. It seems you were now in a similar boat, bound to be known as no more than Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan's mate, and eventually, the Tsa'hik of the Omaticaya. It was a good title, a worthy title, a mighty title - just not one for you, and Lo'ak knew this all too well.
"I didn't get to see you after the mission, kid. I wanted to tell you you did a phenomenal job. Neytiri and I are very proud of you, you are genuinely better and better every day."
You felt annoyance build in you at his comments, but pushed it down. They were being nice, and it wasn't their fault. None of this was their fault. It wasn't anybody's fault. It was Eywa's will. And Eywa knew best. And still, still, you couldn't help feel it, the frustration that gnawed at you at this situation, at the way none of it would matter soon in their eyes, how it would all be forsaken and forgotten, your skill, your prowess, everything you worked for for 19 years.
So, say something. Tell them you don't want to do it. That you're meant to be more, was born to be more than just his mate. Say something.
Nothing came out as you chewed your food apathetically, trying to focus instead of little Tuk who came to sit next to you, and you pulled her closer, sharing your food silently. She smiled up at you, and you couldn't help reach down and peck her on her forehead. It's been a while since you went out, just you girls, and you felt guilty for abandoning Kiri and Tuk for Lo'ak's training sessions and your own, and made a mental note to organise a foraging trip soon.
"Kid, you are one of the best warriors I have ever seen in my 19 years of being Olo'eyktan. In fact, you are one of the best I've ever seen, even back on Earth. You should be very proud of yourself and what you've achieved. I know there's so much still there for the taking, whenever you're ready."
"There's nothing left for me to take, Jake! Not anymore. Don't you see that? You all stand here, talking about how great I am, what a great warrior I am, but how the fuck does it matter anymore, huh? When I'll have to give it all up to become Tsakarem, to exist here, in the village, for the rest of my life instead of out there, where I actually belong, to exist to interpret Eywa's will, which I will never be able to do, because I will never be able to understand why she would ever think I could ever be this, all of this for the people, how she could think it's fair I have to give up all of me to belong to someone else who hates me, who'll get to shine in my stead, and fight in my stead, and fulfil the destiny I was bound by, that belonged to me just as much as him? I trained my whole life, side by side with Neteyam, to be just as good as him, to be just as good a tsamsiyu as he is, and now it's all in vain. So please, spare me the compliments, since they are just as wasted on me as my talent on the battlefield is."
You were no longer hungry, it seemed, and with one last kiss to Tuk, you got out of the tent, hearing a faint "Well, that could have gone better, with both of them." coming from Jake, accompanied by a deep sigh that mirrored yours. You heard footsteps follow you, but couldn't find it in you to stop, to care, not when more and more, it seemed like the ground was turning into quicksand beneath your feet, pulling you under with each moment you considered all you were giving up to get revenge on a man who you meant nothing to, who probably didn't care regardless, who was going to hurt you in this forced relationship more than you could ever hurt him. Maybe it wasn't worth it. Maybe your peace of mind, and your ability to reach your full potential was more important than the desperate, idiotic need to get Neteyam to suffer for the 7 years of indiscretions that clawed at your heart every day of your life.
"Syä, come on, don't make me chase after you."
You ignored Lo'ak, and continued walking until you hit the tree you both liked to go to think and vent, to talk and complain about anything and everything - his subjects always revolved around his father and his sisters, yours revolved around your lack of parents and the pressure that you felt to be great, the responsibility you shouldered, and you both shared one subject in particular, that occupied most of your time spent here. He climbed after you and you both settled on the branch you usually laid on.
"I'm sorry, syä."
"What about?"
"Everything. This whole thing. You don't deserve this."
You scoffed.
"I deserve what I got. That's why I got it. The Great Mother doesn't choose sides, and she's never cruel or unjust. So I must deserve this."
There was silence weighing heavily on the air around you and in both your minds. Lo'ak didn't have the most developed emotional maturity, so you knew better than to expect more. You appreciated the little he did say, because it did matter - it always will. You and Neteyam might be as far apart as two galaxies on opposing sides of the universe, but you and Lo'ak were adjacent stars in the night sky, there to shine together. You might not have a family, not truly, but he would always be your baby brother, and you would always be his big, bitter, best sister.
"I have to tell you, though... I feel bad for you and all, but it's so good to know I won't have to call that little scared, mindless yarik of a girl sister. She truly is the most dull, vapid, odious person I've ever met, and even with Neteyam's bad track record in girls, this one still shocks me to this day. Imagine her being Tsa'hik, ew."
You laughed a little. She really was bad. Not what you would have ever imagined Neteyam's type to be like, but more and more it seemed Neteyam's type was anyone who had absolutely no resemblance... to you. Like consciously or subconsciously, he just needed to make sure the person he was kissing, or touching, or fucking, had nothing of you that could hinder the experience for him. The thought hurt and tilted to balance back in the favour of your original malevolent, callous, rotten plan.
"Have you told O'ì'en yet? Can't imagine he'll be very pleased. That guy's whipped for you, for real. I've never seen someone literally have those heart eyes that you see in those old cartoons my dad used to show us when we were kids."
You sighed another bottomless sigh as you thought about yet another person who had to suffer as a result of this scheme. Your boyfriend for all intents and purposes, the man you once thought you might spend the rest of your life with. A man who was good and pure, who treated you well, who put you first. You realised with a small chuckle that, much like Neteyam, you, too, subconsciously found the opposite of him and held on for dear life, only to now have to let him go.
"Not yet."
"You should, syä. He deserves to know."
"Yeah. He does."
Lo'ak's words rang in your ears as you were walking through the village in search for the one person you needed to see, and you knew where he would be, where he always was when he had spare time, dutiful as always, responsible as he would always be. You smiled a half-smile as you saw him with a gun in hand, peering through the visor, full focus as he was aiming for one of the targets nailed to a tree 500 metres away.
"You're aiming too low." his eyes snapped to you, and the smile he gave you, so genuine and wide and comforting hurt you, it all hurt your heart that was struggling to maintain itself whole in the face of everything that it had to endure in time, and more so recently.
You joined him, motioning for him to resume what he was doing, and you placed a hand on the underside of the sniper he was holding, inching it upwards.
"You have to adjust for the distance and the gravity pulling the bullet down as it flies towards the target. Like with an arrow."
"An arrow I get. This, I don't think I ever will."
"You will, O'ì'en. I know you will." I just won't be the one to teach you anymore.
"I was hoping you'd come." He dropped the weapon on the ground, finding better luck in counting the stars on your face instead, and with a caress of your lips, you shuddered under his touch, leaning into it, exhaling softly as his own lips found yours in a soft, intimate exchange. "I missed you, and I wanted to tell you something, I needed to tell you what's been on my mind from the moment you first appeared in front of me during my first lesson."
Your heart was pounding in your chest and in your temples, the words that you knew were coming scaring you, their weight, their implication dizzying you, turning you into a breathy, untethered mess as you spoke words with barely enough strength to be heard.
"O'ì'en, I -..."
"Please, let me get this out. I love you, tìyawn. I love you, and everything about you. I love your beauty, and your strength. I love how incredible you are, and how skilled. I love how despite your tough exterior, you have a gentle heart. And you are kind, and good, and I just know you'd be the best mother one day. I just hope it's to our kids. I want you to be mine, to mate before Eywa, to finally have the lo-"
His words and the erratic beating of your heart in your ears, the tears glossing over your eyes, dulled your senses to the man who was approaching you, and you suppressed a hiss at the interruption, at the one who instigated it, at the one who always seemed to conveniently find a way to do so. Neteyam walked until he was so close to you his hips were brushing against your waist, that, much to your unadulterated shock and disbelief, he circles with his arm, holding on to you tightly as he spoke.
"I have been looking everywhere for you, ma muntxate. Father called an emergency meeting and he needs you there immediately. He asked me to go find my love, so typical of him, don't you think?" His smile was sweet and innocent, but you knew better, knew that he just ruined the last pure thing in your life, the one thing you tried to hard to protect, the one thing you were just reconsidering this whole ordeal for, once more. O'ì'en...
"What did you say?"
"Oh, ma ‘eylan, haven't you heard? Her and I are to be mated soon. Isn't that just great?"
The sound of both your and O'ì'en's hearts shattering all around you and the swift melody of Neteyam winning yet another battle is the last thing you heard before the man you cared for turned around and left, taking the future and the hopes he held safely within his soul, leaving you with more guilt and shame than you would ever know what to do with.

Tumblr media
summary: a night where jungkook comes back to your sweet self, paired with long hugs and silencing kisses.
pairing: jungkook x reader
genre: fluff, there's nothing else you can expect here in star candy land ^^ slight mention of smut, should i mention jaykay has a bike here?
a/n: im putting out everything i can before i get busy again :// inspired by those eyes by new west :3 this is the same universe as the hold on couple but can be read as a stand-alone! oktybyeeee ilyyyyy <3!
Tumblr media
sweetheart: found the bell peppers! we're making that pasta tonight 😤 see you tonight, love you ♡
jungkook re-reads your text, smiling wider each time. he shuts down his gadgets and grabs his helmet, rushing out so he could reach you faster. today was nothing short of long and draining, from half awake coffee making to zoning out at the big computer screen, it was all equally taxing, a routine he was slowly losing himself to.
he impatiently waits at a red light, looking out at pedestrians waddling on the rain soaked road infront of him. he sees worried mothers running after hyperactive children, teenagers sharing earphones and vibing, the elderly holding each other's hands to make sure they cross the road safely. these small things make him believe there's still hope in this world but his biggest reason for persisting will always be you.
you, with your fond smile and shimmery eyes when you see him at the end of a day.
with you all but jumping on him, trusting him to catch you. you try to hold him impossibly closer, landing kisses on every bit of skin of showing. you over him, bare chest to bare chest, heaving in breathlessness, stroking his tattoos and kissing your favourite ones. he gets ticklish when you do that, so you make it a point to kiss him all over, down to his fingers with boxing bruises. you sit up, scold him lightly for being too hard on his poor hands but sending him a proud gaze for progressing in his hobby.
jungkook plays his favourite memories of you in his head over like a broken record. times of you getting drunk and giggly over a bottle of peach soju and dragging him to every karaoke bar in sight. or when you made spicy cheese tteokbokki for 2 weeks straight, amazed that you never got bored of it. it could even be you snuggled into him at the crack of daylight, arms wrapping around him like the prettiest vines. you always press kisses on his chest, hands intertwining with his.
when he misses you deeply, like now, you are the only thing, the sweetest and most precious thing, on his mind.
Tumblr media
"wow, immersion blenders are pretty fucking cool, huh?"
jungkook chuckles into your neck at your child-like enthusiasm, strong arms wrapping around you even tighter. the smell of roasted peppers, garlic and tomatoes are all over in your kitchen and the most distinct one in his sensitive nose, is you. his favourite jasmine lulls him into a sense of calm, ears tuned to your mid-cooking commentary and occasional humming.
"are we done yet? i wanna eat and sleep and watch wednesday with you," jungkook whines for the nth time into your neck, suddenly feeling the full effects of yesterday's leg day. you turn and kiss him, effectively shutting him up. your hands settle on the back of his neck, playing with the nape of his hair. he steadies himself with his hands on your hips, recognizing your foolproof tactic of keeping him quiet.
"patience, my dearest," you smile into his lips, "good things come to those who wait, you know that better than anyone else, koo."
"this pasta better be really freaking good, sweetheart."
Tumblr media
"oh my god, this is the best thing that has ever been in my mouth."
"ugh, stop moaning, koo, your cute lil eyebrows are more than enough and are you sure about that? it's high praise."
"oh, my bad. you'll always be the number one when it comes to-"
"shut up and eat, there's a child here!"
jungkook laughs his elmo laugh, eyes immediately shifting to his beloved doberman. said child is half asleep, tired from playing around with his appa. your pink cheeks are full from the pasta you've made, your eyes becoming happy crescents when it falls on him. he keeps his empty plate aside, scooting closer to you. you take the hint and keep everything aside, sipping your soju-yakult-soda drink for a palate cleanse.
"oh, my big baby," you coo, cupping jungkook's cheeks and rubbing the apples of them. you place kisses on his head, recognizing your favourite vanilla shampoo on him. he curls into you, burying his face in your neck. you wrap him up with the fluffy blanket you've kept on the sofa for nights like these.
bunched up and tensed shoulders finally go down, breathing becoming even and scrunched forehead smoothing over. the jaunty music from the show you're both watching fade into the background, holding your lover as close as possible.
you love the fact that you're one of the first people in jungkook's mind to turn to for comfort because you'd give it to him anytime and any day. this is one of your favourite parts of your late nights together, wrapped in each other and drifting to dreamland and mind full of sweet things.

The inn is warm and inviting as you step through the heavy front door, the heat from the lit fireplace warming your icy skin as you enter the building. While winter has almost come and gone, and the spring season teases its arrival, the fresh cold air that lingers outside still covers the land with its icy grip. You take in a deep breath as the warmth from inside envelopes you, savoring the warmth as you admire the rustic interior of the small inn.
Fire crackles from the fireplace, a light glow filling the room. The light dances on the display of unique mugs that hang with grace from the wooden beams that line the ceiling above you. Fairly lights are strung up and intertwined with vines around the beams, adding to the soft and warm glow of the room.
You wander into the middle of the room, your fingertips tracing the small crevices and grooves that line the wooden tables. The table feels smooth under your touch, the wood itself worn down and smooth as well. Setting down your backpack on the stool beside you, you roll your stiff shoulders and hear your bones cracking with relief as they loosen up again. The long train ride across state lines had been tough, with your body screaming to stretch and move after only an hour of being confined in the cramped cabin.
The clock above the fireplace ticks, catching your attention as you read the time. You frown to yourself as you look back around the empty bar. The clock had just ticked over nine-thirty, you would have expected at least one person in the bar at this time of night.
You turn at the sound of a door opening as a soft hummed tune flows through the room. A girl with black hair tied in a bun and a light dust of freckles littering her face walks through a door behind the bar. Her eyes are cast down to a glass shes cleaning with a rag and with a smile on her face as she slowly sways to the music playing in her headphones.
“Excuse me?” You try to gain her attention without startling her, but your effort is futile as she turns away from you and sets the glass down before grabbing another.
You lean against the bar with your arms crossed, your eyes roaming the room as you wait for her to turn back around. Suddenly, there's a startled gasp, as if caught in surprise. She yanks the headphones out of her ears, and her breath is labored with shock. She stares back at you, her eyes meeting yours for the first time.
“Oh fuck, I didn’t hear you come in.” She lets out a huff of a laugh, her mouth twitching into a smile as she realises her mistake.“I’m sorry about that,” she says, apologetically throwing her headphones on the bar in front of you and leaning against it with her hands. “We don’t normally get people in this late on a Tuesday” She shrugs, her face and body language seemingly relaxed despite the initial shock.
“That’s okay, I’m normally not out this late if I’m honest.”
“No? So what’s got you visiting the great Firefly Inn this late at night?” She smirks as she leans over the bar.
“Dina stop flirting with the poor girl.” Another girl teases as she walks out of the back room, rolling her eyes as she jumps to sit on the counter behind Dina.
Dina scoffs.
“Don’t you have a boyfriend anyway?” Ellie leans over and takes an apple from the fruit bowl, raising her eyebrows at her friend.
Dina turns around and snatches the apple from her hand before she’s able to take a bite and takes a bit for herself as Ellie frowns at her.
“No actually, we broke up again.” She shrugs as she takes another bite of the apple.
“Again?” Ellie groans, leaning back until her head hits the wall behind her.
You look between the two teenagers, feeling like you’re imposing on their private conversation. You wait patiently for one of them to acknowledge your presence, but they continue to bicker back and forth like children. They seem almost oblivious to any other presence besides their own, their voices growing louder and their playful arguments becoming more passionate with each turn of phrase.
“Is there any chance I could get a room for the night?” You attempt to break their conversation and their heads snap in your direction, successfully silencing them.
There’s a moment of awkward silence as the three of you stare at each other, no one seeming to know what to say or do. Your request finally registers in Dina’s head, and she smiles slightly in embarrassment, breaking the tension between the three of you.
“Oh fuck. Yeah of course.” She mumbles as she dashes into the room out the back and returns with a thick book you assume is for the bookings.
Dina scribbles down your details while Ellie crunches on the apple she successfully stole back from her friend, her smug smile suggesting that the victory tasted a lot sweeter than the apple itself.
Dina leads you up a set of stairs to the second level of the inn, the candles that line the narrow hallway casting a soft and flickering glow around the vicinity. She unlocks an adjacent room and hands you the key, the space itself offering a warm and cozy atmosphere that feels more like a private home than a room at an inn.
You mumble a thanks as you step into the room, about to close the door behind you. Dina's foot suddenly blocks your attempt, jamming the door from closing completely. She smiles sweetly at you as you glare at her through the crack in the door, the exhaustion from the journey and the teenager starting to wear on your patience.
“Breakfast is at eight, if you want any.” She offers and removes her foot from the door and disappears down the dimly lit hallway.
“Weird.” You sigh as you close the door, making sure to lock it.
Tumblr media
The town square is buzzing with activity as you walk down the main street, the morning's chill and overcast skies making the townsfolk more eager to get to their destinations inside the warmth of the next building.
Children are out and about, laughing and racing on their bikes as they speed by you with little to no regard towards any other pedestrians in their way. They seem to be racing each other to get to school in time, their speed increasing with each turn in the road.
With the dull gray skies overhead, the fairy lights strung across the town square provide a much-needed burst of warmth and cozy charm to the town's atmosphere. The lights glow dimly and softly, reflecting off of the damp pavement and casting a gentle glow against the trees and other surfaces that the lights have been tied to. You find yourself smiling at the sight, drawn in by the comforting atmosphere of the town and the familiar charm of the lights. You could definitely see yourself making a life here, and the thought makes you feel a sense of calm and happiness.
You don’t remember living here as a child, but you would have remembered this.
Your eyes scan across the town square as if searching for something to give you a further boost of energy after the tiredness of the morning, and there it is. A coffee shop sign, the words and colors of the sign beckoning you in like a magnet. You let out a yawn that seemingly came from your bones, your eyelids feeling heavier and your body screaming for a caffeine boost to help pick you up.
The bell above the door rings as you enter the cafe, the soft jingle announcing your presence. It's a small and quaint cafe on the inside with a few tables scattered throughout the middle of the shop. Brown leather couches are pushed up against a rustic brick wall where an older woman is seated with a book in her hands. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the smell of freshly brewed coffee filling the cafe.
Walking up to the display case, you notice it’s full of pastries and cakes and your mouth waters at the sight.
You hear the familiar ding of the bell as it rings again, grabbing your attention from the mouth watering food. Ellie, the girl from last night, walks in with an older man following in behind her. He looks just as tired as you feel, his dark brown eyes heavy with sleep as he holds the door open as she passes through, and she gives him a small smile in return before she bee-lines to the counter. There’s a smirk on her face as she leans over the counter, reaching for the bell and obnoxiously hitting the bell.
“I thought I hid that.” The tired sigh of the barista behind the counter is a testament to the constant and obnoxious dinging of the bell. His back is turned as he finishes making a drink, seemingly used to the incessant noise that constantly plagues his ears.
“Not well enough Jesse boy.” She draws out his name, as if to mock him and his inability to hide the bell. There are a few annoyed glances from other customers who are growing resentful of her loud and disruptive behavior, but she remains unfazed as she continues to hit the obnoxious bell as if it were a toy.
The older man that walked in with her shakes his head in disappointment as he reaches over and takes the bell from her. A small frown settles on her face as she watches him take it from her, her mood being spoiled as she realizes she cannot continue her disruption. She lets out a small and annoyed huff as he places the bell on top of the display case, where his eyes meet yours for a brief moment. His face settles in a soft frown as he looks at you, muttering fuckin’ tourist under his breath before returning his attention to the girl by his side.
Your face shows your shock at the rudeness of the older man, your eyebrows shooting up in surprise. You shake your head in disbelief, still unable to process that someone could behave so rudely to a stranger. “Grumpy old man” You mutter under your own breath.
You look back down at the pastries, feeling a bit put off after the interaction but still considering what to buy.
“Come on kiddo, enough of that.” He mutters as he digs his wallet from his back pocket.
Hmm, maybe a croissant, or a muffin?
The barista turns around with a grin, pushing two mugs onto the counter. “A hot chocolate for the troublemaker,” he says, gesturing to Ellie as he pushes the mug towards her. “And a black coffee for the poor tired soul that has to put up with her,” he jokes, pushing the second mug towards the older man standing beside her.
Maybe a cinnamon roll?
“You got that right.” The man softly chuckles as he takes out his card.
“Whatcha say Joel, you want your usual breakfast or are you finally going to try something else? We make mean waffles here.”
“Just the bacon and eggs.”
The muesli slice looks good.
“Alright, alright. I’ll change your mind one of these days.” The barista, Jesse, sighs with a grin as he taps the order into the tablet. “What about you Ellie?” He asks without looking up from the screen.
“Nah, not hungry.”
“Oh come on kid, you gotta eat something.”
“I’m not hungry Joel.” She shrugs as she crosses her arms over her chest.
A woman with dark brown hair boxed braided and tied neatly into a bun walks in, her eyes quickly scanning the crowded café until they land on you.  Her eyes instantly lock onto yours, her warm smile signaling that you're the person she's looking for. She politely asks, "Am I right to assume you're Rose's granddaughter?"
"Oh, yeah that's me." You respond awkwardly, a bit taken aback by the familiarity of the woman's question. You have no idea who this woman is or why she's so familiar with you, and she seems to know more about you than you do about her.
“I thought so. I’m Maria, the Mayor of Jackson. I knew Rose very well,” She smiles warmly, her hand resting on your shoulder as she mentions your grandmother. “I’m sorry about what happened, she was a lovely lady.”
You nod along to her words, a vague sense of familiarity dawning on you as you try to recall where you heard that name before. As she continues to offer her condolences, you remember her name from the letter your grandmother sent you. You thank her for her condolences and look back at the display case.
“I recommend the white chocolate and raspberry muffin.” She points to the muffin and you nod at her offer. “I get it every morning.”
Jesse takes one of the white chocolate muffins from the display and places it into a paper bag, placing it on the counter alongside a takeaway coffee. “All ready for you Maria.” He calls out and she politely dismisses herself from your conversation.
You watch from the side as she pays and thanks the young boy for her order.
The woman turns back to you with a smile and a friendly gesture. "Now, I do have a few things in my office for you," she begins, her voice sounding genuinely friendly and welcoming. "If you want to come by today, I can give them to you and show you the farm?" she offers.
You quickly take her offer, explaining that you were already on your way to her office before stopping by the cafe.
You step towards the counter as the woman leaves, Jesse humming to himself as he wipes over the counter. He looks up at you as he notices your presence, a smile appearing on his face as he offers a warm greeting. "What can I get for you?" he asks, tossing the cloth aside.
You place your order, deciding on taking up Maria’s recommendation and a dirty chai.
Your eyes are instantly drawn to a small table by the window, the sunlight gleaming through the room and illuminating the table as though spotlighting it for you. The bookcase behind the table shows a small collection of books and board games, all seemingly put in a neat and orderly fashion. The entire room feels clean and organized, as if everything has been placed in just the right location and given the proper focus.
You take a seat at the small table by the window and ease into a comfortable position. As you relax, you start to scroll through your emails, going over the updates about the delivery of your belongings. According to the tracking and updates, your belongings should be arriving by tomorrow, and you hope that everything goes smoothly without any unexpected delays.
Movement outside catches your eyes, and you glance out through the window. You notice Ellie and Joel sitting on one of the benches outside, Jesse setting down Joel's breakfast as Ellie continues to talk to him. The two of them laugh at something Ellie is saying as Joel rolls his eyes and shakes his head in a playful and mock frustrated way.
There’s a waffle on Joel’s plate and he shakes his head, shooing Jesse away.
Your eyes find themselves involuntarily drawn to the back of Joel, the short brown hair that curls slightly at the ends and the few soft grays that are starting to sprinkle his head. The thick brown jacket he wears looks cozy and well-worn, a clear indication of years of use and comfort.
He hands Ellie his buttered toast and she shakes her head. He must say something because she sighs dramatically and takes the bread from him.
“Happy?” You can read her lips as she talks.
Joel nods.
You look away, not wanting to be caught staring.
Tumblr media
You’re dreaming. You have to be dreaming. A dream is the only reasonable explanation for the check in your hand.
Half a million dollars.
“There has to be some sort of mistake?”
“I can assure you, there’s no mistake here.” Maria assures you, setting her hands on her desk as she gestures to the check.
You're sitting across from Maria in her large office at the town hall. The light wood furniture in the space is sleek and simple in style, the minimalist design giving the office a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The room is filled with natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows behind her, the sunlight breaking through the gray clouds reflecting off of the wood furniture and making the room feel bright and airy.
A few photo frames sit proudly on her desk. There’s one on her wedding day, kissing her husband with a smile on his face. Then there’s one next to it, the two of them holding a new born baby in a hospital bed, smiling down like proud parents.
Your eyes are frozen on the check though, the number staring back at you as you struggle to comprehend it. You're at a loss for words as your brain tries to wrap itself around the amount listed on the check, Maria's light chuckle drawing your attention.
She digs around in her draw momentarily before setting another note on the table.
“This is a lot to take in, I’m sure. This is a list of everything she did for the town. It’s rather long but if you want to pick up anything she did, you can. No one is expecting you to replace Rose, honestly I don’t think anyone could,” she slides over the list and your eyes widen more at the long list of jobs she did around town.
Farming of fruit Farming of vegetables Farming of flowers Raise cows, provide dairy products Raise Chickens, provide eggs Raise sheep, provide wool Beekeeper, provide honey Fishing, provide fresh fish Deep diving, cleaning ocean Volunteering at town events
You slowly look up at Maria with a raised eyebrow. “I can’t do all this, this is crazy.” You scoff as you look back down at the list.
She laughs at that, sighing and agreeing with you. “She was a very busy woman. But if you want to continue her farm or sell it, let me know. I’ll help you in any way I can. Rose was an outstanding member of our community. If you do decide to continue the farm, even just doing one of these, it’ll be a massive help.”
You let out a sigh, sinking into the chair as you read over the list again. Your grandmother sounds impressive and you wish you had known her, or at least remembered her.
Farming doesn’t sound too bad?
“Alright then, show me the farm. Let’s see what I’m dealing with.”
Tumblr media
You stand before the front door to your grandmother's house, a place long forgotten and now abandoned. Cobwebs and critters are scattered all across the exterior of the house, the once meticulously maintained walls now covered in unkept vines that are slowly crawling their way up the structure. The exterior has an eerie and uninviting aura to it, as if the place has been left to become an echo of time lost to memories.
At the center of the front door hangs a small piece of paper, its edges frayed and fluttering in the breeze as the rusty nail it's held to struggles to keep it in place.
Heard someone was moving back in to Rose's place, if you need a hand rebuilding, let me know. Joel Miller ps. I used to work in construction, I know what I'm doing.
You rip the note off the front door and sigh as you look back over the farm, its beauty all but fallen apart since your grandmother's absence. The farm, once a beautiful and lively space, seems almost lifeless now. The plants are all unkempt and overgrown, most of them withered and dry while others are covered in a thick layer of weeds. It's a sad sight, one that reminds you of how much time has passed since she was last here.
How long it's been since you've been here.
“Who’s Joel Miller?” You ask as Maria follows you up the stairs to the front porch.
“That would be my brother in law, owns a sheep ranch down the road. Why?”
You hand her the note and huffs in surprise at the note. “That’s oddly nice of him. Guess he always had a soft spot for Rose. But don’t expect that from him, he can be a bit…” She trails off her sentence, her face scrunching up in thought.
“Rude?”
“Oh so you’ve met him then?” She laughs.
“I think so, took one look at me and muttered ‘fuckin’ tourist’” You try your best to impersonate his southern accent and Maria lights up at your attempt.
“Yep, that sounds just like Joel. But don’t take that personally, you’re not a fuckin’ tourist, you’re officially a Jackson resident.” She hands the keys to you and gestures towards the front door. “This is your home now.”
The sound of the door unlocking sends a nervous feeling through your stomach, your nerves already on edge from the anticipation of moving into your new home. The door creaks as it opens, a stale and musty smell filling your nose and signaling that the house had been shut up and sealed away for far too long.
The house is beautiful.
Your eyes take in the large entry as you step into the house, your eyes drawn to the two hanging black chandeliers with fake candles. A large black wooden sliding door can be seen to your left, and a set of glass doors in front of you leads out to the back porch.
You ease the black doors open, entering the open-floor plan space with a slow and careful step. The modern and rustic wooden kitchen fills your vision, a large dining room sitting to the left as you step over and slide your palms across the white counter tops. The space has been empty for a while, a thick layer of dust on the counters.
“She took a lot of pride in her home.” Maria speaks up as she follows you into the room.
“It’s beautiful.”
“Would you like a tour?”
“I’d love one.”
You follow along as Maria opens a set of dark wooden doors to the right of the kitchen, the door leading into a small laundry room that connects to the back porch. The laundry room is small but spacious, and the view out to the back porch over a pond is quite peaceful.
To the right of the kitchen, a wooden dining table is situated next to the glass windows that lead into the small greenhouse, the space filled with dead and rotting plants.
To the left of the dining table, a small living room that includes a fireplace and wide wooden stairs that lead to the second floor is also visible. Both the fireplace and the stairs have seen better days, their condition clearly being a testament to the neglect the house has seen.
She leads you upstairs, and as you enter the room at the top of the stairs, your jaw falls wide open at the sight. The room is vast and spacious, with its floor-to-ceiling windows on one wall offering a magnificent view of the pond and farm. Built-in bookshelves line the other two of the walls, with couches built in under the windows, giving the space a cozy and welcoming vibe. The books on the shelves display a wide variety of topics, from classic works of fiction to non-fiction books on various scientific subjects.
“Joel helped her do this.” Maria points towards the bookshelves and couches and you nod in awe.
“Maybe I will take him up on the offer to help.” You chuckle as she leads you into a room across from the top of the stairs. The bathroom is fairly run down and rusted, but you can see what it used to be like in all its glory. A cracked tub sits in the middle of the room with an open shower to your left.
Maria leads you to the bedroom, the final room of the upstairs, which is located to the left of the stairs. The room is decently sized, with a big window that faces out towards the farm. The window lets in plenty of lighting and fresh air. To the left of the room, there is a narrow corridor that leads to a small balcony.
“Is the power and water turned on?” You inquire, following her back downstairs to the ground level of the house.
She gives you a quick nod, confirming that she had already planned to have everything ready for your arrival. Everything had been taken care of before your arrival, ensuring that the utilities would be fully functional for you to use as soon as you move into the house.
“Well, it’s been wonderful to meet you. Rose used to talk about you a lot, so it’s been nice to meet you. If you need anything,” She digs through her bag before handing you her card. “Call me, I’ll do whatever I can to help.” She offers before leaving you alone in your new home.
You find Joel’s offer again that night, folded on a table in the entry way while you’re snooping around and attempting to sort through your grandmothers house — or you guess your own house now.
You sigh at the number scribbled at the bottom of the note. Did you really want the help of someone who was so rude to you?
As you look down at the note in your hand once more, you can't help but exhale.
“Fuck it,” you mutter as you enter his number into your phone before sending him a text.
Hey Joel, I just moved into Rose’s farm and found the note you left. Would love to take up your offer! - Fucking tourist
You smile to yourself as you send the text and hope to god that he remembers you from the cafe this morning.
Your phone vibrates as you get out of the shower that night.
Glad your not a tourist. We can grab coffee and discuss what needs doing. Tomorrow work for you? - Grumpy old man
You huff a laugh at his response, glad he has a sense of humor. You shake off the smile on your face, remembering how much of an asshole he was this morning. You text back agreeing to his offer and he sets a time for eight in the morning.
You drift off to sleep with a smile on your face, and you tell yourself that it’s not because of Joel but rather due to your own excitement and happiness about the move. He may be a rude asshole but he offered to help and from the looks of the house and farm, you’re going to need it.
And if Joel Miller wants to help, you’ll make him work.

Every Na'vi is born twice. The second time is when you earn your place among the people forever.
It's a sacred task, a hard one at that. First, you must choose your Ikran. It's a test every young hunter must pass, up high in the Hallelujah mountains lies Oo-rah.
"Be calm yawne" Neteyam spoke softly as he stepped behind you. In front of you lie hundreds of Ikrans. He rested his long nimble fingers on your lower back in an attempt to comfort you, remembering how nerve-racking it feels having done it not long ago.
You took in a deep breath clutching the rope-like vine you held in your palms as Jake and Neytiri followed not far behind Neteyam, just as eager to see you complete the task.
"Remember what we talked about y/n, this you must feel inside" He brings his hand up to rest right above your left breast. He could feel the erratic beating of your heart as you nodded. Neytiri spoke up from behind Neteyam, "When they choose you, you have to move quick like we showed, you will only have one chance y/n" You took in another deep breath in hopes to calm yourself as you felt Neteyam softly push you forward.
Taking another step forwards you watched as Ikran after Ikran ignored your advancing and flew away. You jumped down onto one of the lower rocks and hissed trying to get any of them to bite back.
One by one they all flew away leaving one single Ikran left. It was gorgeous. A beautiful deep purple with red stripes wrapped around its body in intricate patterns.
It stepped forward and hissed back, startling you a bit as it reached forward in an attempt to snatch you. You swung your rope and crouched hoping to get a better angle to mount the creature and tie its mouth.
Hissing once more you pounced, finally making your way around to jump on the creature's back. You make an attempt to wrap the vine around its mouth as it thrashes and jumps.
Suddenly the creature violently flings you to the side as you scramble to grab onto whatever you could reach to pull yourself back up.
Neteyam gasped stepping out to go help you before Jake pulled him back by the arm. "I cannot leave her father, let me go." He hissed as Jake shook his head at his son. "You cannot help her son, this is something she must do on her own."
You quickly pulled yourself back up onto the mountain, running to mount the Ikran again as you wrapped the vine around its snout successfully.
"Shahaylu, y/n. Make the bond!" Neteyam yelled as you reached behind for your queue. "I'm trying you skxawng!" you hissed as you finally managed to connect your queue and make the bond.
Suddenly it went quiet. The Ikran shivered as its pupils dilated. You took in a breath finally calming your breathing. "Maway, mawey" You whispered to the animal softly stroking the side of its neck. You could feel its heartbeat, its breath. It was nothing like you've ever felt before. Your souls were intertwined, connected.
"Go y/n! The first flight seals the bond!" Jake yelled as you nodded. Fly you thought as the Ikran finally flapped its wings and took flight.
It was a little shaky as it descended down the cliff but you finally got the hang of it as both you and the Ikran finally synced. God, there was nothing like it. You were born to do this. Born to fly. The wind whipped through your braids as you weaved in and out of the floating mountains.
From far away you could hear all three Sullys holler and yelp, all mounting their Ikrans to come and join you on your first flight. You watched as Neteyam banked right up next to your Ikran as he playfully nudged yours.
Neytiri and Jake watched from behind as the interaction reminded the two of them when they were younger.
As you pulled your queue away from your Ikran as it touched down close to home you sent your Ikran off. Neteyam next to you did the same as both of you finally got a chance to talk about the days events.
"I thought I lost you for a second there" He laughed as he brought his hand up to mess your hair up much like he did to his own siblings more often than not.
"I was fine Teyam', nothing I could not endure" you smiled up at him. "Have you thought of a name for your Ikran yet yawntutsyìp?" he asked as the two of you neared the secret cave you had shared since the two of you were just children.
It was a beautiful opening with different varieties of flowers and plants. Sat in the middle was a lake of sorts that had a secret little cave covered by a waterfall.
"Zíerèya" you finally answered after a beat of silence.
Neteyam smiled softly, your mother's name. Beautiful, just like its owner. "It's beautiful y/n" He reached for your hand intertwining your much smaller hands with his larger ones.
"Soon you will be expected to find a mate" He spoke with such a hushed tone you'd almost think he was upset. Your face contorted with confusion. What was this talk about a mate? In your mind, there was only one Na'vi you could imagine being your mate, and he was sitting right in front of you. Why couldn't he see that he was the only one you longed for?
"Nete, I do not understand? Why do you talk of this?" you questioned bringing your hand up to cup the boy's cheek looking up to see his face. His eyes were bright under the bioluminescent glow that cast across the forest as the eclipse neared. He nuzzled his cheek into your palm bringing his lips to your hand with a chaste kiss.
"Y/n there is something I must-" Neteyam was interrupted as the two of you heard a branch near the shore break under the weight of whatever was nearby. Neteyam brought his finger to his lips signaling for you to be quiet as he peeked around the opening of the cave.
"Neteyam! Mom wants you and y/n to head back for dinner" Lo'ak stood at the shore with his hands cupped around his mouth as he shouted towards his brother. The younger brother held a knowing smirk as the two of you made your way to him.
You walked ahead to hide the creeping blush that was adorning your face as Lo'ak playfully shoved Neteyam. "So big bro, did you get any?" Lo'ak asked with a smug smirk. Neteyam looked over at the boy " Shut up skxawng!" He threw a swift punch to his brother's arm earning a whine from Lo'ak as he rubbed the now sore spot.
"Are you nervous about your ceremony tomorrow ma y/n?" Neytiri asked as she set down the leaf topped with food in front of you. You shook your head "Not necessarily, I am nervous about the number of people who are going to attend. The whole tribe will be there!" You chuckled softly looking back down at your food.
"Have you given any thought to who you might choose to be your mate?" Kiri asked shooting Lo'ak a smug look who snickered behind his hand. You looked down as your face turned a light purple from the blush creeping up your cheeks. Neytiri and Jake shot each other a knowing look as Neteyam looked down at his lap.
"Let me see the coverings you made to wear to your ceremony tomorrow yawntutsyìp," Neytiri said breaking the awkward silence that had fallen over the hut as she stood up to follow you to your home not far from the Sullys.
You huffed as you smoothed down the intricately beaded outfit you had spent hours before today weaving and putting together. Although it was tedious and took a long time, it truly was a gorgeous piece. It accentuated your breasts perfectly and wrapped around your lower breastbone all the way to the front of your stomach where it connected to your equally as detailed loin cloth.
You brought your hands up to your hair as you attempted to re-braid the strands into a more elegant style rather than your usual braided locs.
"Need help?" The familiar voice startled you as you turned around to face the door. Neteyams breath caught in his throat at the sight of you. You looked unbelievable. It was like Ewya herself carved you to perfection. Just for him.
"You look incredible y/n," he said as he joined her in her hut. She smiled at him with a pout, "Thank you, Nete but I cannot seem to get my hair braided as it should." He nodded, understanding your frustration.
"Let me help" He reached up to weave the strands together in the spot you could not reach with your own hands.
When he was finished his hand traveled from your shoulder down to your hand to tug you to face him. "After your ceremony today, id like to take you somewhere" he spoke softly looking into your eyes. You smiled "Of course, can you help me with my paint?" He nodded motioning for you to sit in front of him as he dipped his fingers into the white paste you had set aside.
The two of you spoke nothing as he painted your face with the traditional style stripes. His fingers lingered as he brought them down to your lips as he let his gaze travel down your face until he was fully staring at your plump lips he so longed to kiss.
"Y/n my mother is ready for you to come-" Lo'ak stopped as he stood at the entry to your hut realizing he must have interrupted a moment between the two of you. He snickered as the two of you jumped to put more space between you as you both stood up. You excused yourself from the hut to go find Neytiri.
"Bro. You have got to make a move on her before someone else does." The younger brother spoke as Neteyam sighed. "I'm going to baby bro, it just wasn't the right time."
Your stomach bubbled in excitement as you stepped out to join the people making your way toward the Olo'eyktan. Jake stood in the center of the room dressed in his ceremonial headdress. He bit back a smile as you made your way toward him. He couldn't believe how fast you'd grown up. It seemed like just yesterday you were just a little girl bouncing around with his children in the stream.
You bowed your head as you stood in front of him. The tribe coming closer to join you as Neteyam took place by your side, Neytiri, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuk following close behind.
"You are now a daughter of the Omaticaya. You are part of the people." Jake finished as he rested both of his hands on your shoulders. Neteyam and the rest of his family followed his actions and soon you and the whole tribe were connected. It was done. The second part of your journey was now complete.
You tugged on Neteyams tail as you trailed behind him following to whatever destination he had planned. He chuckled as you gasped stopping to take a look at your surroundings.
"Come" he spoke grabbing your hand and leading you closer. You drug your hand through the glowing branches. "Utraya Mokri" you sighed grabbing onto some of the branches connecting your queue.
"It's beautiful Nete" He smiled and stepped beside you to grab a few branches himself. "My mother brought my father here the day he completed his ceremony" You beamed at him, thankful that he thought to bring you here.
A small gasp left your lips as a woodsprite floated between the two of you. Bringing your hand softly underneath it, you left it to float there until it made its way up higher into the tree.
"A sign from Eywa" Neteyam spoke so quietly you wouldn't have heard it if you had not been so close. You looked up at him sensing the nervous energy that was radiating off of the boy.
"What is it ma Neteyam, what troubles you?" He finally looked up at you cupping your cheek. "Y/n, I see you. I always have. All this talk about choosing a mate and I can't help but be selfish because I feel as though it should be me." His voice was unwavering and genuine as you processed what he just said. Neteyam felt the same way? After all this time?
"Neteyam, it has always been you. Anytime anyone mentioned a mate the only one that clouded my mind was you. I could not even think of anyone else." You could see the worry flood from the boy's face as he blushed.
"Can I kiss you yawntutsyìp?" you nodded as he leaned forward to connect his lips to yours. The kiss was slow and tentative, the both of you testing the waters. Soon the kiss turned more heated as Neteyam swiped his tongue over your bottom lip using your gasp as leverage as he slipped his tongue into your mouth.
You let out a moan deepening the kiss as Neteyam brought you to straddle his thighs.
"Please Teyam" you begged. You weren't even sure what you were begging for. "Shh shh, I've got you my love" He whispered laying you down onto the soft forest floor.
He broke the kiss only to bring them down to your chest as he kissed the valley between your breasts. You gasped entangling your hand into his braids keeping him as close as possible.
"So beautiful" he murmured toying with the beads on your top. "I choose you Neteyam, please" He stopped for a moment looking up at you from your chest. "Are you sure y/n, we will be mated for life?" he looked unsure as he stared into your eyes.
You smiled bringing your hand to rest on his cheek. "Yes, I'm sure" He nodded reaching around for his queue as you reached for yours.
He brought his up to yours as the two of you watched them connect.
You both gasped as you felt the connection travel through you from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. With the new connection, you could practically feel the love Neteyam had for you, it only multiplying with your own love for him.
Neteyam kissed your lips once more as he reached down to untie both his and your loincloth. He groaned as he pushed the tip in causing you to suck in a breath.
"My Ewya, you are so tight" Neteyam spoke through ragged breaths as he thrust once more finally seated fully inside your warm heat. The intrusion was new and strange but so so good.
"Move Nete, please" How could he deny you when you asked so nicely? He thrusts his hips faster rutting into you at a steady pace causing you to moan loudly. "you feel so good baby" you whined, the new pet name causing Neteyam to nuzzle his head into your neck as his thrusts faltered feeling himself get closer to his release.
There was an unfamiliar feeling building low in your stomach as he continued to hit a deep spongy spot within you. "Nete wait- I think- there's a feeling-" You could barely get a full sentence out as your vision started to blur.
"Its okay, my love. Let go, let me feel you" You let Neteyams words calm you as you let the feeling take over. It washed over you like fireworks, bursting throughout your body as you clenched down on him letting out a loud mewl.
Neteyam groaned as he felt himself get closer as you clenched down on him, the connection of your queues helping him feel everything tenfold. He brought his lips to yours in a messy kiss as he painted your walls with his release.
You gasped as he pulled out of you, moving to rest next to you as you both fought to catch your breath.
"Oel ngati kameie y/n" Neteyam spoke turning over to look at you.
"Oel ngati kameie my love"

Malleus Draconia x Fem!Reader ︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
Under the golden afternoon sun, the gardens of the twisted wonderland were a sight to behold. Malleus Draconia, with his imposing figure and regal demeanor, had prepared a surprise for you. As you walked hand in hand, the path opened up to a secluded spot where a picnic was laid out under the shade of a grand, ancient tree.
“You’ve outdone yourself, Malleus,” you said, admiring the spread of delectable treats and the soft blanket laid upon the lush grass.
“It is but a simple gesture,” Malleus replied, his emerald eyes softening. “I wanted to share a moment of tranquility with you, away from the chaos of our daily duties.”
As you both settled down, the world seemed to stand still. The gentle breeze carried the fragrance of blooming flowers, and the only sound was the cheerful chirping of birds. Malleus watched you with a fondness that made your heart flutter, and you knew that this moment would be etched in your memory forever. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the verdant fields of Twisted Wonderland, Malleus Draconia and you found yourselves in a secluded glade, perfect for the intimate picnic he had planned. The grandeur of the Dragon King was evident in every detail, from the fine china plates to the crystal goblets, all laid out on an embroidered cloth that shimmered with threads of silver and gold.
Malleus watched you with an intensity that belied his usual stoic demeanor. “I have longed for this,” he confessed, his voice a deep timbre that resonated with the quiet power of thunder far off. “To be away from prying eyes, to share a moment of simplicity with you.”
You smiled, reaching for a delicate pastry, its flaky layers filled with sweet cream and berries. “And I appreciate every effort you’ve made,” you replied. “It’s not every day that one gets to enjoy such a feast with the heir of the Draconia line.”
He chuckled, a sound as rare as the blooming of the night-blooming cereus, and it warmed you more than the setting sun. “My title means little in the face of your company,” he said. “Here, I am simply Malleus, and you are the one who has captivated my heart.”
The conversation flowed as easily as the wine from the bottle, tales of your respective worlds intertwining like the vines that grew around the ancient tree under which you dined. Malleus was particularly taken with your descriptions of the human realm, his eyes alight with wonder and a touch of wistfulness.
“As much as I yearn to see your world with my own eyes,” he mused, “I fear what my presence would bring upon it. My power is not always… well-received.”
You reached out, placing a reassuring hand over his. “Perhaps one day, we can venture there together. With care, and perhaps a bit of your magic, I believe we could make it work.”
The promise hung in the air between you, as tangible as the magic that Malleus wielded with such ease. It was a promise of future adventures, of shared dreams, and of a bond that transcended realms.
As night fell and the first stars appeared, you lay back on the blanket, Malleus by your side. The constellations above were unfamiliar, yet beautiful in their strangeness. “Tell me about the stars in your world,” Malleus requested, his head turned towards you, his expression open and earnest.
And so you spoke, of constellations and myths, of navigators and explorers who used the stars to find their way. Malleus listened to every word, his hand finding yours, fingers entwining. In that moment, under the celestial tapestry of an otherworldly sky, two hearts from different worlds beat as one.
The night deepened, and the air grew cooler, but the warmth between you and Malleus remained undiminished. Wrapped in a shared blanket, you continued to gaze at the stars, each one a silent witness to the evening’s tender moments.
Malleus’s voice broke the comfortable silence. “In the Draconia-bloodline, there is a legend,” he began, his tone taking on the cadence of a well-told tale, “of two stars, separated by the vast expanse of the sky, yet bound by an invisible thread of fate.”
You turned to him, intrigued. “And what became of them?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
“They yearned for each other, across the distance, their light a testament to their longing,” he continued, his hand squeezing yours gently. “Until one day, the thread pulled them together, and they collided in a brilliant display of light and energy, creating a new star, one that outshone all others.”
The metaphor wasn’t lost on you, and you felt a flutter in your chest. “Is that what we are?” you mused. “Two stars drawn together?”
Malleus’s eyes met yours, and in them, you saw the reflection of countless stars. “Perhaps,” he said, “or perhaps we are the creators of a new legend, one that speaks of a dragon and a human, and the love that transcends worlds.”
The conversation shifted then, to dreams and aspirations. Malleus spoke of his hopes for the future, not as a king, but as a man who wished to see the world—not with power and conquest, but with wonder and companionship.
“And you,” he said, turning the focus to you. “What dreams do you harbor within your heart?”
You shared your own visions of the future, some grand, some humble, but all of them painted with the brush of possibility. As you spoke, Malleus listened, his expression one of genuine interest and affection.
The picnic had long since ended, but the connection between you had only grown stronger. As the first light of dawn began to creep across the sky, you and Malleus rose, packing away the remnants of the evening.
“This night may end,” Malleus said as he took your hand, “but our story is far from over. With each new day, we shall write another chapter.”
And with the promise of countless tomorrows stretching out before you, you stepped forward into the light of a new day, the Dragon King by your side.

Dr. Munson & The Monster
mad scientist!Eddie x The Monster x fem!Reader
Based on a sweet ask I got about how Reader's boyfriend cheats on us, and then we get revenge with his dad. I'm sure this was not what they had in mind 👀 my apologies. wc: 1.7k
18+Only, mature content, smut, cheating, mention of monster sex, unprotected p in v, oral (f receiving), creampie, breeding!kink, mention of being forced to live at the castle, mention of male impotence. Frankie and Reader are 25+, doctor!Eddie is 40+.
Things with you and your boyfriend Frankie were complicated.  When he first put you over his shoulder and carried you back to the castle, determined to be your mate, you wondered if it would work out.  But, you’d grown to love that zipper-neck lothario, and the enormous cock attached to him.  Munson’s Monster was famous by that time for being the first reanimated human, and he had so many women throwing their panties at him, it was intimidating for you at first.
“Baby,  where are you going?” You called to him from the bed where you were in one of your sexiest nightgowns, draped perfectly to expose the curve of your hip that drove him bonkers.
“Out!” But he didn’t actually say it, he just grunted it, stomping off toward the balcony on stiff legs.  He liked to use the thick vines on the side of the building to climb down.
He flung the terrace doors wide open, and you watched him make his clumsy descent with a shake of your head.  “You’ll break your neck again one of these days, you know that baby? Just use the front door next time!”
He was too busy banking on his arm strength to hold his substantial weight to look up at you, but he did offer a growl and a grunt, and by the time he dropped to the ground in a crouch, there were tears glistening on your lash line.
The first few months together had been so rich with discovery and the promise of new  love. Frankie mated you from sunup to sundown, stretching you out and chasing his release with animalistic passion, the likes of which you’d never experienced before. After a few weeks, you were confessing your love; there was even talk of planning an October wedding.
But, the honeymoon phase was over, as they say, and word had made its way back to you that Frankie was getting in bed with every village woman within arms reach.  They all snickered and laughed behind your back when they saw you in town.
You watched him stumble into the night, and then you peeled yourself away from the balcony and wiped your eyes.
You didn’t want to be alone again.  The only people who lived in the castle besides you and Frankie were Dr. Munson, his assistant Igor, and a housekeeper named Frau Blucher.  You put your silky robe on and brought a candelabra downstairs with you, following the golden glow of light coming from under the door of Dr. Munson’s library.
You knocked first, because he was a very private man, and you were paranoid that he hated you for whatever reason.  Maybe he didn’t think you were good enough for his creation?
“Enter,” a gruff voice bellowed from inside.
Edward Munson, brilliant surgeon and mad scientist, was hunched over his desk, fingers flying from inkwell to paper as he scribbled notes in his journal.  Long, dark curly hair wild around his shoulders, with a touch of gray at the sides, and fingertips stained black from the ink.
“What do you want?” He grumbled, never looking up from the paper.
He knew it was you.  He recognized the way your footsteps sounded on the floor above, the cadence of your knock, the way his heart jumped into his throat whenever you were near.
You shut the door behind you, pushing it until it clicked.  A cozy fire roared in the hearth, the air smelled of old books, pipe tobacco, and leather. You intertwined your fingers in front of you and went to take a seat by the fire.
Eddie finally glanced up, your silence making him curious.  That was when he saw your puffy face and the tears in your bloodshot eyes.  The horrible way his “son” treated you was no secret among the house, and sometimes his thoughts found their way to wondering how it would’ve worked out if he’d found you first, and not Frankie.
With the pen still in his hand, he sat back in his seat.  “I’m sorry this keeps happening. You deserve much better than this.”
You snapped a look at him.  He was always so grumpy with you, this was the first time he’d ever offered you any semblance of comfort.
The nightgown under your robe was so tight to your skin that he could see the outline of your breasts and the way you weren’t wearing any undergarments.  He cast his eyes back down at his desk, ashamed for even allowing himself to dream.
Pausing in the middle of the room, on your way to the couch by the fire, you were struck with a sudden epiphany: Dr. Munson was attracted to you.  How had you never noticed it previously?   The way the light from the fire danced on his skin, making his dark eyes sparkle.
Driven by loneliness and a sudden, rabid burst of horny, you slinked over to the big oak desk, hitching your ample hip out to rest it at the edge.  The muscles in Eddie’s jaw flexed, eyes anchoring to yours, refusing to let them roam your body like they wanted to.
“What do you want from me?” His tone was tight, his cock twitching in his pants at how close you were.  “You should go back to your room.”
What you wanted was to get back at your neglectful, cheating boyfriend.  He got to have his fun several nights a week with whoever he wanted.  Why couldn’t you have the same?
You came around the desk to be closer, now your leg was touching his.  You let your hand graze up along your inner thigh over your nightgown, lips parted as you watched him from under hooded eyes.  “I want you to touch me, doctor.”
Dr. Munson hasn’t been with a woman intimately for years.  Mostly because he was a recluse who had no patience for the small talk required for getting to know someone, but also—he’d been harboring a secret crush on you since that first day Frankie brought you home.
His eyes flicked from the outline of your cunt to your face.  “Show me,” he told you, pushing the sleeves up on his shirt.
Eager to please him, you ran your hands up your thighs to shimmy the silky skirt up around your hips, giving him the perfect view of your kitten.
Eddie’s mouth went dry at the sight, his brows knitting together.  He inched forward to brace one hand on your thigh while the other worked a finger along your slit, hissing at your wetness.  You yanked down the front of your nightgown to play with your nipples.
“Get on the desk,” he demanded, unbuttoning his shirt.
You had your knees bent, feet on his shoulders, quivering as his fingers spread you, his tongue seeking out the special nub that Frankie could never find.  The scientist that he was, he had studied a woman’s anatomy extensively, and wanted to use his gathered knowledge to please you.
“Your mouth feels so good, doctor,” you whimpered.
He pulled away, chin dripping with a mix of saliva and your arousal, and then he worked a finger down, slipping in one, two, and then three.  You were all the way back on the desk now, knocking things over as you writhed, spilling the inkwell.
He got to his feet, pushing his pants down to expose a generous pink length. You propped on your elbows to lick your lips and watch as he rubbed the tip along your slit with a groan, frowning in concentration.
“Is this what you want?” He mumbled, pulling open your lips to watch how well you took his tip.
You sat up to meet his mouth, fingers clawing into his crazy hair as you forced his lips open with your tongue.  “I want you to give me a baby,” you begged. You found each other's eyes then, hovering on the implication of what was being asked. “Because we know Frankie can’t.”
It was true.  As much of a medical miracle and scientific treasure Frankie was, Dr. Munson suspected his sperm was no longer viable. Sometimes he blamed his skill as a surgeon for how Frankie had turned out, but he had to be gentle with himself—that brain Igor found for him was not the organ of an intellectual.
Locking eyes with you, he sank all the way in, filling you to the base at first thrust, making you both cry out.  He cursed, bracing his hands on the desk for leverage to piston his hips against you.  You held his face between your hands and matched his need with your tongue.
His deft fingers moved from working your nipple to your clit, watching you unravel before his eyes.  It wasn’t until he felt your walls flutter around his cock and heard you whimper his name that he allowed his release.
He grunted, fingers digging into your soft hips. He hadn’t tended to himself in days, and so the potential for seeds to be planted deep in your womb was strong.
It took a while for him to finish pumping it all in, and then you stretched back on the huge desk, planting your feet, knees wide.  Maintaining eye contact with him, you used your fingers to push his cum deeper inside of you, tilting your hips up, holding it there, and then rubbing the excess up through your folds, before bringing them to your mouth to suck.
He kissed your stomach and your breasts, up your throat, sticking his own fingers inside to keep any from leaking out.  “Stay like this until I say you can go,” he mumbled against your mouth.  “And when it starts to drip down your leg, I want you to remember who put it there.”
“Yes, doctor,” you whined, listening to the plop of the tiny ink droplets as they fell from the desk and collected in a puddle on the floor.

You sat on the edge of your favorite park bench, the late afternoon sun casting long, golden shadows across the pavement. The leaves rustled in the gentle breeze, and a distant murmur of city life provided a quiet backdrop to your conversation.
"Carlos," you began, your voice carrying a mixture of tenderness and vulnerability, "I need you to understand something. I don't like that you're holding back. It makes things complicated, uncertain. But I want to be with you. I want to understand why."
Carlos looked down, the lines on his face etched with a blend of regret and introspection. "Baby, it's not that simple. There are things... things I'm still trying to figure out."
You reached out, gently placing your hand on his, fingers intertwined like vines seeking a sturdy trellis. "I know you," you whispered, your gaze steady. "I've seen the corners of your soul, the parts you try to hide. And even with the uncertainty, the confusion, I want to be here."
He looked up, his eyes searching yours for answers he wasn't sure he'd find. "But what if... what if you're meant for something more, something different?"
Your smile was soft, the kind that spoke of understanding born from acceptance. "If that's what you're searching for, I want to know. I want to be the one you talk to, the one you share your hopes and fears with."
Carlos leaned in, his forehead resting against yours, a silent acknowledgment of the depth of your connection. "Amor, you're asking for so much, willing to endure so much pain and confusion."
You held him closer, as if trying to bridge the distance that had settled between you. "I'm willing to change if it means we can be together. I'm willing to be patient, to learn, to grow. I'll stand by your side, even when it's hard."
He closed his eyes, feeling the weight of your words settle in his heart. "And what if one day, you realize this isn't what you want?"
Your voice was steady, unwavering. "Then I'll remember everything I learned from you. I'll carry it with me, even after I've passed away. Because what we have, Carlos, it's worth it. Even with all the complications, all the uncertainty, it's worth it."
As the sun began its descent, painting the sky in a palette of oranges and pinks, You and Carlos sat together, holding onto each other, finding solace in the knowledge that sometimes, love was about embracing the complications, and holding tight even when the path ahead was unclear.

I had a g/t dream last night and oh my god? oh my god
so it was set in this dilapidated world where everything was in ruins. there was a giant entity that was 1,000 feet tall, made of shifting tendrils that looked like smoke and vines. this form was more masculine, but it was also very lovecraftian horror. they never looked the same every time you looked at them. they would sweep through the ruins, taking humans up into their smoke to ‘paradise’. all you could do was try to hide and hope it didn’t find you
so I kept hiding, feeling this massive being looming over me constantly, until one day I got tired of hiding and stopped. I stared out the window and watch them shift and glow, and they noticed me. and then they vanished. I turned around, and in the ruins of the house I was staying in, there was suddenly a woman. the being. she was more humanoid and twelve feet tall, and held out their hand. I asked why. they said I was to be their beloved, and that we were forever intertwined from that point forward. they said they’d been looking for me. I took their giant hands in my tiny ones, and they smiled at me with far too many teeth, and then I woke up
man.
