There's a bakery on the way to the far grocery store that has a vending machine outside. Inside the vending machine are macrons.

The macrons are not labeled. They're just different colors.

So I like to stop and get one because it's a fun game of what flavor an I going to try today. Except for green, I never get green. Green is always either matcha or pistachio, and I dislike both.

It should be of note I have no food allergies, so this is not a dangerous game.

Today was Earl grey, and strawberry.

Earl grey was decent, but not really my favorite. I was disappointed because it was white with speckles so I thought it would be cookies and cream. Strawberry was terrible, very clearly artificially flavored and bleh.

Next week I hope for better.

And better baking, no crisp outer shell and very little foot on the cookies. I live making macron cookies, it's the filing that I suck at.

Baking makes me happy. Especially when it turns out the way I plan. Giving them all to my coworkers to make them happy cause why not. If you have the ability to do things to make people happy, you might a well. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Edit: can we also normalize that just because you’re good at something doesn’t mean you need to monetize it. legit had 4 people at work tell me I should sell cakes and stuff. Pretty sure if I did that as a side job I’d hate it cause it’s too much like actual work. And I don’t wanna ruin the things I enjoy.
