Ghost writer: Absolutely. Absolutely, I do.

Now, Vlad should know better than to ally himself with someone who broke the Christmas truce, buuuut. The call for DnD is so tempting that he just had to do it.

He then dragged Daniel and his friends into it as well. Daniel dragged his sister along and then the Fenton parents found out and, well.

It suddenly became a thing.

Oh well, both Vlad and Ghost Writer sculpt up some lore from each of their character sheets, weave a world from words and then drag a random number of people to act as their 'players.'

It was supposed to be people from Amity Park, but there was a miscalculation on that part, and honestly you can't even blame them because they've been weaving nonstop and Vlad ignored quite a bit of sleep to try and make this perfect as he could.

So instead of civilians they dragged in a few members of the Justice League and, well.

As long as they play by the rules nothing would hopefully go wrong...?

Of Godsons, Fruitloops, and Lois 'I will drag all secrets out into the sun' Lane

Danny loses his parents due to their own lack of safety in the lab (death? Coma? People finally putting their foot down about the Fenton's endangering their kids? Idk pick). Jazz can't take him in due to being in college and living on its campus (and he didnt want to force her into an apartment just to keep him, he saw the prices and knows she'll have to work to make rent) and Danny fears the only place he can go to is... Vlad. (Sam's parents would never let him live with her and Tucker's place doesn't have the room)

Vlad's been lording it over Danny, smug about it all, after all he IS Danny's godfather and he has the space and money to provide for the boy in his time of need.

Only, when digging into Danny's files, his social worker discovers Vlad isn't Danny's godfather, he was meant to be but the Fenton's forgot to send/sign in the final paperwork (even if those documents were the only contact they had with Vlad over the years before the reunion)

No Danny's godparent, the person to take him should anything happen to the Fenton's is....

Tommy was nowhere to be found when Buck was in the gym though. That was 100% about Eddie. As was the Christopher thing because he didn't want to be replaced in Eddie and Christophers lives by anyone, for any length of time. The only time I really felt him trying to get Tommy's attention was their first scene together. But that was purposeful by the writers. They wanted to have it both ways and needed Buck to want both of their attention but have no idea why.

I've sat here for almost a full day wondering how to respond to this, and honestly, I very nearly deleted it without responding because... I barely go here. I just shifted over to 911 as my main fandom. I was a One Chicago blog a little over a week ago and yeah, one well timed rewatch might put me back on that train.

I just came over here because I watched the show, enjoyed it, and wanted to have fun with other fans. My posts are my opinion and my observations, and are obviously not meant to speak for all of canon or even any faction of the fandom besides myself (and maybe Kit, but our opinions vary sometimes too, and we live together). I just pointed out what I noticed, and the trends that I picked up on, and how I thought they were intending to establish Buck wanting Tommy's attention - which, in my opinion, they did really well.

So, I'm just gonna put a screenshot of the post this is referring to right here:

Here's the thing. If you watch every single episode of the show looking for Buddie moments whenever Buck or Eddie is on screen (and I saw a lot of that after last night's episode to the point that I'm getting exhausted and annoyed), then that's all you're going to see, even if that's not what they're trying to show us.

It's been especially bad since 7x04 and the BuckTommy kiss. Everyone is looking at his canon queerness through a Buddie lens and ignoring everything else around it. They're making his coming out to Maddie about Buddie, and they're making his attraction to Tommy about Buddie, they're making episodes we haven't even seen about Buddie.

In reality, none of that is about Buddie or confirming future Buddie or anything of the sort. He and Maddie mentioned Eddie in that scene because the conversation started when he said he felt like he was lying to Eddie and he didn't like it. Yes, Eddie and Tommy are similar, and I understand joking about Buck having A Type, but that doesn't make his attraction to Tommy any less genuine. And we don't know anything about 7x06 yet, but everyone is talking about Buddie getting drunk and sleeping together, or Tommy seeing them interact - as he's already seen because the three of them have had scenes together and he's canonically spent time with Chris - and immediately stepping back from the relationship because there might be something there.

Buck is going to his sister's wedding with Tommy. Buck told Maddie and Eddie about Tommy. Buck wants to dance at the wedding with Tommy. He wants to try for something with Tommy. Eddie encouraged him to go call Tommy and work things out. Buck is going to be out to everyone at the Madney wedding because he wants to be there with Tommy as his date.

I don't know. It's just frustrating to see this really good queer relationship tossed to the side because it's not the Popular Ship. Just because you don't ship it or you aren't looking at it directly, it doesn't mean it's not still there.

Too Far Gone?

I’m really sorry Eddie, I can’t hang tonight. I already made plans. How about next time?” That’s all Eddie’s heard for over a month. At first he understood. Things do happen and he knows how you need your space from time to time. But after the third time, he started getting a little worried. He would replay every interaction you two have had and wondered if he done or said something that upset you. He even asked you what was going on. You just claimed that you were “going through a lot” or you’re “just busy”. He would nod his head and say “okay”. But he knew that wasn’t exactly true. Because one time he followed you home. Expect you weren’t actually going home. You were walking in the same direction as Jeff’s house.

It only took a month and a half to learn the whole song. You had to keep blowing Eddie off because you wanted to absolutely perfect this song. You knew you had to ask Jeff for help because he knew electric and bass guitar backwards and forwards. He even helped Eddie a bit (not that Eddie would ever admit to it willingly).

Jeff stood smiling and clapped at the end of the song. “Eddie is going to be so proud of you.” You grinned from ear to ear, “you think so?”

“I know so.” A knock came from outside the garage. Jeff grabbed his phone and opened up the ring app to see who it was. “Speak of the devil” he said, showing you Eddie right outside. You panicked a little. You didn’t want Eddie to know you were here because you weren’t completely honest with him and you didn’t want him to think something was going on between you and Jeff because that’s not true either.

“What do we do?!”

The knocking persisted.

“I think we should just let him in.” You agreed with Jeff. As the garage door opened, Eddie began speaking. “Jeff, I need your advice. It’s about-“ he didn’t get to finish what he was saying because you were right there. He blinked at you a couple of times before looking at Jeff and noticing your guitar.

“What’s going on here?” He asked.

“Babe, I can explain.” You replied.

Eddie moved his hands in a circular motion. Letting you know that he was ready and listening.

“I know how much you love Metallica, and how much you’ve been loving the new album. I wanted to give you the coolest gift I could think of…. Which is learning and playing one of their songs.”

You could tell in Eddie’s eyes that he was touched. He tried to keep his face from smiling but a small smirk escaped him.

“So,” he grabbed the small stool that’s for the drummer and sat on it. “Let’s hear it.”

You took a deep breath and began to play. Remembering every chord and note that Jeff taught you. You got so into it, you closed your eyes. Recounting how the song goes and what was on the music sheet you found online. What you didn’t see was Eddie rocking out to your guitar playing. He swore he fell even more in love with you.

By the time it was over, you looked up at Eddie. He had the biggest grin on his face. He stood up and gave you an applause.

“Babe, that was amazing! How long have you been working on that?”

You removed the guitar from your body and set it on the stand. “A whopping month and a half.”

Eddie walked over and hugged you. “All for me? Is that why you’ve been blowing me off?”

“Yes, I had to because I wanted it to be a surprise.”

“Well, I love it. And I love you.” He kissed you gently on the lips.

“Awww. That’s sweet” Jeff said, pretending to cry. “But not too much, or else you’ll have to get a room somewhere else.”

Eddie looked at you and smiled deviously. “Thanks for the idea.”

He picked you up bridal style and started carrying you to the van. “Let me show you how much I loved it.”

You shouted “thank you Jeff!”

Jeff waved by before closing the garage door.

I feel like out of all the characters, even though he’s the only straight one in the party, Dustin has the most astute gaydar.

EXCEPT when it comes to the older kids.

Like I feel like the second he saw Will staring at Mike he was like “Gay. Mega gay. Absolute homo energy,” he probably figured out that Max and Lucas were bi even before they did themselves.

But he could not tell you that Eddie was gay and Robin was a lesbian even if Eddie was SITTING IN STEVES LAP and Robin was STARING AT NANCY WITH PRACTICALLY CARTOONISH HEART EYES.

He would just be like “Yep, these are the most hetero heteros to ever hetero”

i like thinking about character design and picking it apart bc i do think the most important thing when it comes to character design is informing the character in a visual way. like uh maddie and jack

they mix up the traditional american suburban family with an addition of wacky ghostness. like if you ignore their suits they dont look that odd. they look pretty neat too.

i love how their colors complement each other. orange being more loud and boisterous while blue is more understated and subtle. jack is very open with his thoughts he talks about blathering about ghosts like. word for word. while maddie tends to be the more grounded one out of the two.

also i think its really fun how we never see them in ordinary clothes even on their wedding cake topper they still nod to their ghost hunterness with the jumpsuit and goggles

its just fun to see bc it really shows how neurodivergent they are much they care about their work. its a reflection of passion! its a part of who they are, practically a second skin its something that unites them as a pair. it makes them stick out from the crowd and being unashamed about their eccentricity. jumpsuits are also something that connects them with their family

danny is the only other fenton with a jumpsuit consistently. jazz i dont believe has ever been shown to have her own while danny has a very plain one its black and white which are very neutral colors but theyre also a blank slate which given that danny is a teenager, kinda helps that idea. also it connects him with his parents bc he’s the one that takes after them in the ghost hunting business even without them realizing it. which makes jazz not having one something that separates her from them bc she craves normalcy. she wears maddie’s jumpsuit. once in maternal instincts but thats the most its shown. she’s not a ghost hunter, hardly a combatant either and she seems like an oddity out of them which says a lot about her relation to the family as well

i was meant to just talk about jack and maddie but i lost the plot. sorry.
