The mission to mars begins, over last week we were building a whole martian diorama pieces with my kids. My son built a huge cosmic door by himself (really proud of himself and I'm proud of him) . We started building everything yesterday and did some photoshoots. The ceiling of the cave is still drying and a few elements are shipping to us (fog machine for example).
It looks promising and more than i expected. I have a plan in my mind to make minifigures really small and overwhelm by a huge cave and "doors to the unknown". See how it goes. Couple BTS photos of how it looks at the moment and I think more to come.
That said, if you have been following me for a while now, you know I have been enjoying Lego's postcard series set. In my previous review, we discussed the Australian Postcard — and today we will be diving into the New York postcard set!
If you are also a huge lego lover, what is your favorite lego collection? I would love to hear about them! My favorite collection will have to be the botanical collection.
I finished this piece of terrain a long time ago, and with the release of the new Khorne faction army books, I saw a fitting reason to finally post this work.
Like my other terrain pieces, I created this one with a 3D pen. In the game I use it as a skull altar.
Minature Prison And Turkey Tikka: LIVING MY GIMMICK #214
Living My Gimmick is the "daily" short Vlog where an evil genius discovers he missed out on the genius part of that plan. Kind of a out of context mess of clips, but remember it is NEVER DAILY OR DEAD. Really never daily.

Week 3 Lesson: Preparing for week 4 pitch, Peer Feedback.
Currently, I'm inclined to my 'small world' idea, photographing hand-made characters in minature scenes, as this will be relevant to my career ambitions in illustration. Currently i'm interning with an illustration studio. Various illustrators (like Lauren Child and Red Nose Studio) use photography to create their illustrations. I've also explored this in my work before, and it's an area I want to strengthen.
Below: considering technical factors, obstacles and challenges that may arise.
Because the shoots won't feature people, models won't be an issue. The main issue will be allowing enough time to make the character, and creating a little scene. I plan to make the character but use existing miniatures I own for the scene itself.
I got peer feedback on my current idea. Main feedback was to clarify and strengthen the conceptual meaning of the shoot. I plan to focus conceptually on the power of imagination/ fantasy worlds. Minatures represent this idea because they can be curated and controlled, allowing us to physically manifest our interior fantasies in a safe space.
