Let's talk my interpretation of Mrs. Claus and La Befana - the Italian Christmas Witch.

When I was a kid, my grandma told me that while Santa was out delivering gifts, Mrs. Claus was out on her broomstick doing the same in Italy as "La Befana".

In Tales of the Otherfolk, Mrs. Claus is a witch, once an apprentice of the alpine goddess Pertcha before meeting St. Nicholas. She was the daughter of the goddess Strenua, born and raised in the region of Sabina.

Befana first met Nick when she was searching for a rogue pertchen named Krampus. She found the two in heated battle - Nick trying to protect a village from being attacked by the creature. She and Nick joined forces, managing to bind Krampus to Nick's shadow.

The two would fall in love, with their relationship becoming a polycule later on when a tamed and reformed Krampus joined in.
