I love Win for making the call not to talk about Ton in the hotel that night. Not just because he knows Team was at the cemetery for at least the two hours it took Win to get there, kneeling in the rain before a child’s grave. Not just because the first thing Team conveyed to Win is that he thinks the world would be better if someone else was alive instead of him. But also because Win himself wasn’t in a good frame of mind to deal with it. He drove two hours in the rain on a motorcycle, found the person he loves most in the world kneeling in the rain before a child’s grave, and there’s no way he had the mental wherewithal to help dissuade whatever awful things Team was telling himself all day. I don’t know if Win did it for himself as well as Team, but I’m glad he did, and I’d like to take it as a sign that Win’s figuring out how to balance his own needs even if he’s not consciously aware that he’s doing it.

WinTeam need a fancy vacation after all of this. Therapy too but also like. A weeklong stay in a Swiss cabin where all they’re expected to do is cuddle inside a blanket cocoon with mugs of cocoa.
