happy new year to everyone who uses the gregorian calendar. we had so much good content come out this year. i'm gonna list my favs. please remember these are my personal faves and may be objectively terrible. do not be alarmed.

My Beautiful Man S2 and Movie

If you ask me this series is one of the best bls of all time. idc idc. im a hira and kiyoi girlie through and through. how many bl's do you know with 2 seasons and an original movie. not those repackaged ones that they try to hand feed us. an actual movie with a plot???? the bar is on the floor clearly. but hira and kiyoi are gonna surpass that bar every. single. time.

Love Tractor

I didn't hear enough people screaming about Love Tractor. crickets tbh. Which is blasphemous in my opinion. How could you be quiet when this lovely bumbling himbo with the dopiest grin is on your screen? look at him!!

Eighth Sense

Bed Friend

It's hard to believe this came out this year. Like ??? But really that shows how much I've established this show as a classic in my mind. BED FRIEND? UEA? baddest bitch in the land?? KING? greenest flag out there???? (debatable but for the sake of my argument lets pretend). It had every element. good plot, great visuals, a little heat. like come on who else is doing it like them?

Dangerous Romance

I've seen mixed reviews on this one but I had a fun time. Kanghan is a prissy little spoiled brat, but he's my prissy little spoiled brat. I loved their story progression. Which is saying a lot for me bc I don't like enemies to lovers. like why are we fighting? also "i'm an introvert" is the funniest shit i've heard all year.

La Pluie

this was so shockingly good i wish it got more attention. iqiyi in general really did their big one this year. when it rains you can only hear your soulmate? love!

Laws of Attraction

this was a rollercoaster. i started watching ironically because i thought it would be terrible when i saw the mc go super saiyan. that shit is still hilarious idc.

Love Syndrome III

Now before we start throwing tomatoes...let's hear me out. Nothing has caught my attention this year the way this series did. This was another series I was watching ironically until suddenly i wasn't. It's also just so funny that they released the third one without dropping a first or second. but bad bitches don't need to explain themselves. and YES love syndrome is a bad bitch. let's stop acting like we watch bl's solely for the quality. i don't need marvel cgi to have a good time. sometimes a dollar store wig and the most toxic couple you've ever seen is enough to make some shit shake. if this was released during the tharntype era??? oh bitches would've ate it up. HAPPILY. rant over.

Last Twilight

it's good man. what more can i say? i hope it doesn't disappoint me in the end.

i'm very pleased. very much so. i know alot of folks went into this show expecting a little teehee. to laugh at the omegaverse racecar show. NOT ME. i've waited for this moment. and anyone who's seen me screaming in the tag can attest. this is a game changer. not just for bl but the fandom community at large. and don't even get me started on their chemistry. babe's smile whenever he's around charlie?? mama and papa?? MAMA AND FUCKING PAPA?? we deserve this and i will bask in it for as long as I can. jeff had better be pregnant by the end of the show.

summary: You're assigned to the deviancy case with Hank and Connor, he just had to be cute.

Why did he have to be cute?

Stupid Cyberlife and their stupid cute new android at the precinct. Connor or the RK800 Model had been working with Hank for a while on the Deviants case. Which you had now been assigned to as well.

“Kid! Let’s go,” Hank says, “Another fuckin’ android killed its owner.” You nod, grabbing your bag, and after Hank, only to bump into Connor and fall to the ground, Connor stops, taking your hand into his and pulling you upwards. “I apologize, Sergeant (L/N), are you alright?” You feel your brain practically malfunction for a second, his hands were so warm and you couldn’t help but think about how his hands would feel- You clear your throat and simply nod. “Y-Yeah! Thank you, Connor. Now we should get going; Hank is waiting for us.” You both speedwalk side by side, it’s quiet, a bit frenzied, mostly on your part but Connor’s mere presence is comforting to you. You step outside, it's pouring rain, hitting your back with thick drops as you run with Connor, who shields you a bit as you make your way into Hank’s car.

“You two took long enough.” Hank simply says as you both buckle into the back of his car, you stew a bit in your feelings, looking over at Connor who shakes his head, “I’m sorry, Lieutenant.” You echo Connor’s sentiment, staring out the window, just to avoid everything else. “You two are… You’re fine.” Hank looks at the two of you in the mirror for just a second before focusing his attention back on driving, he’s got something on his mind, the tension inside of the mid-sized car is palpable. You could slice through it with a knife.

Suddenly, before you know it, the car ride which had felt like hours long stops. You open the door, and everyone steps out of the car wordlessly into the heavy rain. You can only bring yourself to look at Connor for just a moment. His eyes are trained on you, carefully, but he tries to avert them when you look at him. You offer him a smile, it’s awkward but manageable.

You step onto the crime scene, typical fare, the smell of gunpowder lies heavy in the air. This was recent and the deviant is still around. You look over to the officer in charge of the crime scene, “Has anyone checked upstairs?” He nods, “Only a brief sweep though, be careful.” You nod, “Hank, stay here, you too, Connor.” Connor shakes his head, “I cannot allow you and the Lieutenant to both make bad decisions. I will come with you.” You smile amusedly and Hank shrugs his shoulders, “You need him more than I do, be careful, kid.” You nod and begin to silently creep up the stairs. Connor’s a few steps behind, quiet as well, the chatter from below the both of you silences as you reach the upstairs portion of the house, mostly unknown territory. “Seargent, I wanted to apologize, just in case I may have made you-.” You shush Connor, you hear footsteps in the room over. “Hello?!” You call out, you reach the room and while you don’t see anything, you are standing only in the doorway.

“Is anyone in here?” You ask, not expecting much of an answer. “Come out with your hands raised, and we won’t hurt you.” There’s shifting from under the bed and you feel panic bubble into your throat, you reach for your gun but suddenly, you feel a sharp pain shoot through your thigh, ringing in your ears, and you’re on the ground. 

“Get off of me!” You only partially hear the commotion going on, the shot ringing through your brain, and you feel the weight shift on the wooden floor, Hank standing over you, and then pressing against the wound on your thigh. You whine at the pain, and then you see Connor, his hand on your wrist, monitoring your pulse, “You’ll be alright, Sergeant, just… look at me.” He sounds panicked, and you decide that must mean you’re screwed.

“Connor, don’t let me die, please…” It’s quiet, almost just a whimper from your lips but he shakes his head, his free hand is on yours. “You’re going to be alright, Sergeant, I won’t let you die.” The EMS arrive quickly after and even as you’re taken to the ambulance, Connor’s hand never leaves yours. “Lieutenant, please.” You hear Connor plead with Hank, “Keep ‘er safe, got it?” You hear Hank relent and it warms your heart, he’d been like a father to you and you’d certainly remember this moment.

You look over to see Connor, running his hand through your hair. His shirt is bloody and his tie isn’t there anymore, it’s wrapped around your thigh as a tourniquet. “Thank you, Connor…” You croak out, your throat is dry. “I retrieved the deviant, I am only disappointed you fell into harm’s way for me to get them.” You shake your head, “It’s… not the deviant’s fault, Connor. He was scared.”

The doors of the ambulance open and you’re lifted down out of the ambulance, Connor’s staring at you, he looks anxious, nothing like the android he’s supposed to be and you appreciate it. He follows after at a distance, and you watch as he has to be told not to follow you into surgery, all of his rationales were gone.

When you wake up, he’s still there. Quiet, oozing anxiety. “I’m alright, Connor… You’re too worried.” He shakes his head and threads a finger through your hair, moving your hair behind your ear. “I’m worried, (Y/N)... I may be a… a deviant!” He whispers his confession, ashamedly but you shake your head, “That’s okay, Connor. You need to know that is okay. You’ll be okay if you’re deviant.” He shakes his head, “I don’t want them to shut me down… To take me apart and wipe me. I don’t want to lose those… those memories of you and living.”

You smile, it’s weak but it’s there, “You’ll be okay, Hank and I will be there to keep you safe, from Gavin, from Cyberlife, from the whole damn world.” He looks as though he may overheat, so he simply presses his lips against your forehead.

“I was afraid you’d die, (Y/N)... You’d die and I’d never tell you how I felt about you.” You feel like you’re about to vomit and you’re not sure if it’s the confession or the anesthesia wearing off but, you fight through your nausea. “How do you feel about me? Connor?” He looks guilty, “I think… You’re very aesthetically pleasing to me and I would like to… I’d really like to take you somewhere that you’d enjoy.”

The confession, though a bit teetering and nervous, is one that you’d been hoping for. You stare at Connor, who looks hopeful and scared, “Connor, come here.” You say and he listens, the look on his face is the definition of nerves, and you simply pat the bed, signaling him to lie down next to you. He sits, his arms wrapping around your torso, careful to avoid your thigh wound, “Connor… I find you aesthetically pleasing as well.” You tease him, as he chuckles nervously, playing with your hair. You could get used to this.

Anything you regret including? I assume you mean in CftF? Xavier 😪 had I thought for one damn minute it would be as easy as production made it to untangle him from his icky grip on Wednesday - I’d have just written him out! Instead I spent a solid 400k during the slow-burn for Wednesday and Enid having to navigate and help them grow through both their other established range of emotions from canon and other friendships/gross one-sided fantasy relationships to get them in a natural place of ‘ANNNNND we’re done here’ without it just getting cut. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I felt like I was always having to give Xavier an information-gathering mission to make him feel like he served an organic purpose after the girls were together when I didn’t actually want to write him but didn’t think Wednesday would just drop him from her life since I allowed him be respectful to her wishes to stop pursuing her because he didn't want to lose her from his life completely (sounds like quite unlike the actor lol I don't really get involved in this mess but I've seen what I needed to see). Good news, he won't be at Nevermore for KiGS - he has a new purpose so I was able to write him out, too - just one scene for closure! More Responses behind the cut:

At first I really didn’t want anything much to do with Sheriff Galpin either, which was why I sent him off to rehab lol. But he ended up playing a useful role and I actually really like the way it turned out for the Galpin fam in the end to tie it back to canon; I think everyone got closure there. In the last chapter, the scene of Galpin and Emiliana hiding the murder weapon where she gets her “certificate of a job well done” and he says “this is a ticket for disturbing the peace,” is one of my fave little Emi bits lol. BIG SPOILER for KiGS LOOK AWAY IF YOU DON’T WANT TO SEE: We’re going to see more of Emiliana with the Galpin(s). Between their shared history of substance abuse bringing them together, and someone coming home - she’s going to find herself with a greater purpose than trouncing around the forest looking for provisions and chasing after Wednesday during a flare up. 

Is KiGS gonna cover their whole senior year? IF THEY MAKE IT THROUGH! Lol, kidding - yes, if the good lord’s willing and the creek don’t rise. It’ll probably be another 3-4 chapters before they actually start their senior year properly at Nevermore. I am taking every advantage of writing the Addams Family together at home/on vacation before we go back to school and more of the ensemble.

What made you add Wednesday's hypoglycemia?  Half her moods are probably because her blood sugar is low. THAT GIRL DON’T EAT. In canon, every time anyone else is often having food of some kind, she’s just glaring and staring. She’s got to be hungry - but more to my interpretation of Wednesday, she was/is so out of touch with her human needs that she doesn’t have hunger cues (also fairly common for many people on the autism spectrum, not just because of her Outcast abilities). 

How do you feel emotionally when writing about moral monsters like QBB? I have only recently developed feelings (started a new medication in March) and had already finished CftF so I’ll have to get back to you on that now that I have a wider range of feelings and can even sometimes cry!

What was the inspiration behind QBB's abilities if there was one? Mostly just in needing a reason for why this sort of behavior has gone on for so long - centuries of oppression, decades of horrific deeds from him specifically, and NO whistleblowers? Honestly I think I started coming up with more of his character when I was going through some of the Epstein documentaries last year, and it’s so sick and it BLOWS MY MIND how he/others got away with their behavior for LITERAL DECADES. So - I mean, I just kind of made the power up.

Are there any characters or outcast abilities that you wanted to include but couldn't find a place to fit them? You’ll see more from them in Karma! The Faceless are very interesting to me and I hate that we had to hear so much about the werewolf issues second hand (since Enid was kept in the dark) so I am very pleased to be getting primary sources and first hand look at this, even before they get back to Jericho! I'm actually really glad TFS got delayed for entirely selfish reasons--I like to take my time and enjoy the game so that usually means I'm still doing some wrap-up on gathering gear, crafting, or powering up stuff until late in the season. But this time around I wouldn't have been able to do that because I had gender affirming surgery scheduled for the tail end of the season, and if there's been any complications or it was a rough recovery I'd have risked missing out on any finale stuff. The delay meant I could take my usual sweet time, enjoy everything at a relaxed pace, and not risk missing out on anything that'd be removed at the drop of the new expansion

Honestly same! Long seasons have been a fave of mine since Arrivals. It just gives you so much extra time to take things at your own pace and make sure you're not stressing out about finishing everything. Most people don't play this game as a job! People have other things to do and they don't want to clock in at the Destiny factory to play 24/7 so they don't miss something. I play a lot, and yet there's still a lot of stuff I haven't done! I still haven't finished my GMs this season because everyone has been busy; if not for the delay, we would've had to cram everything and risk getting annoyed or burned out before the final expansion.

I really really hope that with Episodes they do something about this urgency to finish things in a specific time slot or else... My greatest wish for Episodes is that they will be the type of content that can stay in the game indefinitely instead of being removed after a year. This is a super complex topic btw (the whole thing with seasons leaving, as well as vaulting) that I think a lot of people tend to oversimplify because it's easier to just say we don't like it and assume malice. I might make a post about it and my thoughts on it because damn, I really don't like story elements being removed, but also there's so many interlocked issues with the type of game this is and how it works that it's a huge undertaking to talk about it in a responsible and neutral way, instead of just farming easy upvotes by saying "vaulting bad" (and for the record, yeah, it is bad, especially for the story).

But yeah, the thing I want the most out of Episodes is that something about the content cycle is fixed and that we get to keep them so we can continue playing at our own pace instead of feeling forced to grind when we might not be into it or we don't have time. Keeping things for a year is better than before, but I would really like if this content is something that we can play (and replay!) for as long as the game is alive.

So yep, totally agree. Love the extended seasons and the amount of time it gives players to breathe and not stress out. It makes the game more enjoyable since you can take a break and come back and feel refreshed about playing again.

And congrats on your surgery! I hope the recovery is going well for you and that you're happy with it! :D

- Jeff never expected to be in a parental/big brother roll again. He's supposed to be the most notorious and feared killer there is. Not fucking playing single dad over here! So imagine his surprise when the slenderman brought in a child no more than 4 years old and apparently the kid has no fear factor they just ran up to the biggest baddest person there was and befriended him. Ever since then Jeff became wrapped around their little finger.

-very over protective of them. He won't let anyone train them except for him and him alone. And if he has to let someone else take the reins for a bit he's watching them closely like a hawk. Trains them in relatively age appropriate ways as they grow up. They play pretend fucked up scenarios like how missions work or what to do when things go wrong how to interact with the other creeps. Think of it like 'it's me your scumbag dad' videos. He will teach them how to curse and questionable life lessons as they grow up.

-Toby is way too much of a nervous wreck to take care of himself let alone anyone else. And ever since Lyra died he's been too afraid to get attached to someone ever again despite the void in his heart. So imagine to everyone's surprise when the slenderman brought home a child no more than 9 years old. Clearly traumatized and heart broken and shooken up about whatever happened that brought them there. Toby protested about putting the kid with him as slenderman wouldn't take no for an answer. He's holding the kid out like how Mike wazozski holds out boo for the first time.

-at first he tried to distance himself from the child. Going as far as hitting and being mean to the child. He left them in the woods once. However that child was a persistent little creature and always found their way back to Toby. They followed him around everywhere like a lost puppy until he started to warm up to them after accepting that they'll forever always be there. He teaches them a lot of nature stuff. How to track. How to survive in the woods and to fight off predators. The raccoons and possums are your friends. He actually enjoyed being the big brother for once and the child filled the void in his heart that he desperately craved for.

-Jane was thrilled when the slenderman brought home a little girl. She's always had mothering instincts and she immediately scooped the child into her arms and the rest is history.

-very protective of her and keeps her the he'll away from Jeff. Going as far to lock her in her bedroom when Jane or anyone else she trusted wasn't around to accompany her. Keeps her on a very strict schedule for training and life to establish a routine before she allows the freedom of leeway and slight change of plans. Especially establishes a beauty routine. Jane teaches her that there are more than one ways to kill. Brains over brawn. Beauty comes second. Occasionally if they have free time they will have a girl's night where they do spa treatments, each other's hair, makeup and they eat relatively healthy snacks as they watch movies and gossip.

-EJ was quite confused when the slenderman dropped off a child to him with no word. Is it food? A sacrifice? A new prey?. He was curious and the child was non verbal so it's not like they could answer either besides head nods and writing and facial expressions and body language. Really he ended up not caring and didn't really bother the child as long as the child did not bother him.

-it all changed when the child showed intrigued in anatomy. After he caught them reading his old college textbooks. They communicate by sounds at this point. Showed them on a dead person where the organs were and why they were important. Later on the child became more of the strong silent type and was basically EJs assistant. They have a mentor/apprentice relationship. The kid knows first aid as well and makes a fine medic

-Nina was hyperactively jumping up and down for joy when the slenderman brought a 10 year old girl home who had the same aesthetic as her. They clicked instantly and immediately bounced off of each other's crack head energy.

-shes Nina's partner in crime and has never separated from her and Nina won't trade that for the world.

YUNMENG TRIO PROPAGANDA!!!!!

I promise as the moderator of this competition I won’t campaign for any specific sibling sets after this but I cannot let my faves Jiang Yanli, Wei Wuxian, and Jiang Cheng lose in the first round when they were seeded pretty high.

For context, here is who I’m talking about:

Look at those babies!

The Yunmeng Trio are three siblings from the book Mo Dao Zu Shi or the TV show The Untamed.  They consist of oldest sister Jiang Yanli, middle adopted brother Wei Wuxian, and youngest brother Jiang Cheng.  Their relationship is crucial to the story, as it follows Wei Wuxian and his dynamic with both siblings (but especially Jiang Cheng) influences a lot of his decisions, which in turn influences a lot of the state of the world they live in as a whole.

Could these siblings win a physical fight against other sibling sets? YES.  Jiang Cheng is a very skill swordsman and has a magic lightning whip.  Wei Wuxian invented a new kind of magic and by and large is super overpowered (can take on hundreds of people at a time due to his ability to control ghosts/corpses/harness resentful energy).  Yanli, while not much of a physical fighter, can easily win over anyone’s heart with the power of soup.  (Seriously, in the book it lists her weapons as “love and soup”)  Everyone loves her, especially her brothers, which lowkey makes her an extremely powerful character because they’d do anything for her.

Do these siblings have sibling swag? YES.  They bicker! Especially WWX and JC.  Yanli loves to make her brothers soup and they always argue over who has the bigger portion!  They have inside jokes!  JC and WWX are always nitpicking at each other but will not allow anyone else to do so!  They’re all traumatized by their parents in different ways and therefore lean on each other and are unhealthily codependent because of it!  Whenever one of the brothers goes off by himself Yanli always asks the other one to go bring him back, and when she couldn’t do that she waded out into an active battlefield to try to find them!

Do they love each other? YES.  “We are the closest three in the world.”  Jiang Cheng sacrificing himself so Wei Wuxian doesn’t get taken hostage.  Wei Wuxian convincing his friend to perform ethically dubious and extremely dangerous surgery on him to try to get Jiang Cheng back to 100%.  The sole time Yanli loses her temper in the show, it’s because people are yelling at Wei Wuxian and not showing him respect!  She wore her wedding outfit when she and Jiang Cheng went to visit Wei Wuxian in exile because he wouldn’t be able to be at her actual wedding and she wanted him to see it!  Jiang Cheng suggested that Yanli let Wei name her son!  That scene made me cry no joke!

Are they interesting? YES.  I just described how much they love each other but the show actually begins with us seeing Jiang Cheng supposedly kill Wei before we jump back in time, so you know they have some intense emotional arcs going on!  Wei Wuxian was adopted when he and JC were around 6, and his status as an insanely talented and amazing cultivator plays really interestingly with the fact that his younger brother will be clan leader because WWX isn’t in the bloodline, and that influences JC immensely because in a way he has to deal with some of the worst parts of being a younger sibling while also having to deal with things an older sibling would otherwise have to.  Once Wei starts doing big plot things and becomes Public Enemy Number 1, JC and Yanli have to be careful with how they navigate the political world while trying to rebuild their clan and navigate an engagement that could unite their clan with a much more powerful one, but they still try to protect their brother.  Bodies start dropping.  They’re all traumatized over various events that occur before they’re even fully adults.  They make me feel so many emotions it’s not even funny.

tldr: I love them. please don’t let them lose in the first round please just give them this they’ve suffered enough.

took me a bit to answer because i wanted to make sure to find this post to link, i remembered it as a very nice and insightful post but for the most part it goes a bit off-topic, the answer is basicaly in the last few sentences (i do recommend going through it though!!)

i personally might be in the same boat as you, dear, as i just got reminded of the show today and my dash won't let me forget about it BUT MY MIND IS ON HIDDEN AGENDA. WHERE EVERYONE'S WAS JUST YESTERDAY i cannot keep up with this fandom goodness gracious

i was excited way back when it was announced but it was never at the level of people who'd get asked what they're most excited for from the gmm23 lineup and everyone and their mom's answer was ONLY FRIENDS DUH..with time my enthusiasm kinda faded out and was replaced by, dare i say, annoyance. it's natural when you aren't as hyped about smth as everyone else seems to be. at times i do get a bit more excited though! who knows, i might be unbearable once the show drops hahah, i haven't really gotten myself acquainted with the characters, i avoid speculating and making up theories so i hope whatever only friends turns out to be, it's fun 😊

but yeah, i think people are excited about the drama of it all. p'jojo has been teasing non-stop, it will give us favourite actors in messy relationships not contained within their assigned pair but with everyone and anyone else. it gives off the feeling a crossover does though it isn't one. seeing neo who only got a more seirous role just this past year with the eclipse as a pos gremlin wreaking havoc is new and exciting! mark as a sad pining bub that will undeniably make us scream "love, do BETTER"? EXCITING. topmew seem like they're gonna bring so much angst to the table in a more horifying way than the melancholy that sanray seem to promise. firstkhao are the basic beloved pair that everyone would love watching even if they don't tune in for them specifically - theyre great actors who also have amazing chemistry with each other and we have proof they will bring their all into it. smth else that goes for them is the fact many want to see them go beyond what the eclipse fave them in terms of opportunities to be intimate. force is about to give villain, I can feel it, and as much as it scares me I think it's very intriguing. forcebook are another established couple who are besties irl and have shown theyre comfortable and can bring that spark, this show gives us the chance to witness just how far that actor compatibility can take their performance. and markneo!! theyre absolutely a wild card. many of us are fond of them because of their memorable side roles but we haven't seen them doing anything spicy with their established partners (louis and ford). and that is another thing, theyre a completely fresh pair unlike the other two so we don't know exactly what they're capable of or how they act off of each other, that's also super fun to anticipate. I personally am going wild about papang becoming a part of the mess as a part of nick's plot, there seems to be a wlw pair too, jennie is also present - there are plenty of smaller appearances and details aside from the main couples and their plots that make viewers curious. yes, sex portrayed by fave actors who dont usually portray those scenes is a big deal but it's not just that, boundaries are being pushed with this show and the crew and cast seem incredibly excited to be working on it. it feels like a passion project and that enthusiasm gets to the fans as well. it's true however that many will be disappointed because they keep projecting their ideas of what the show should and would be on it and it simply can't be everything at once. a part of the overall excitement comes from the fandom discussions and participation but that is what gets theories to evolve and expectations to grow which is risky.

tldr: favourite actors in roles that show them either build on their already established chemistry or challenging an inexplored part of their acting skill; a big bunch of said actors tangled up in dramatic scandals - everyone is involved with everyone, gives a collab vibe; jojo's unique lens and directing style; other actors and plots that are yet unrevealed etc.

2023 was honestly very difficult for me. I’m not one to share too much detail about my life offline, but I was in and out of hospital quite frequently. despite that I think I’ve learned a lot more about myself and grown as a person (and a writer!!!) in ways that I am proud of and I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ll achieve in the new year!

resolutions… well with writing I’ve said I want to try to work with longer word counts, and try it practice real patience with my wips lol—I seriously get so restless if it takes any longer than two weeks to complete. as for everything else I think I want to do better when it comes to reaching out?? that’s something I definitely admire about you!!! if you tell him that he just played it so beautifully that you cried over it—when you were expecting the opposite—he might tease and giggle, probably strokes his ego a liiittle bit, but he does apologize for that in the form of playing you your fave funny meme ones

whatever happens though, this just becomes a new way to bond with you! it makes him happy to share his love and talent for music with someone he cares for too :D

Immediately heard ‘I’m bored’, how cute. Obvious signs of a cycle ending and starting a new one, but I think it’s similar to how fashion trends are picked up and cycled through. I don’t think they’ll stop oversharing but they’ll change the way they do it – at least for a good majority of them. What I’m seeing here is a mix of their label / company enforcing that ‘fanbase is a community/family’ idea, and also the actual influence of their family. So for some it can be that what their family members involve themselves in can cause them to pull back from media: they get into controversy because if their relatives do this then obviously you aren’t exempt in some form, they get tired of fighting because you can’t win every battle and you aren’t perfect, constant persecution, going offline unless you’re needed. For others, their fanbase get too comfortable and feel like there are no boundaries and if the artist tries to enforce them after a period of time, they get shit for it, and if they don’t others see them as weird – it sort of circles back into the same thing. For others (cause I only really pulled for general energy), it could be that something else grabs their or their label’s attention. Parasocial relationships are always a moneymaker but a lot of artists had to make their songs go viral on TikTok because that was quick cash, so it’s sort of like that. The celebrity themselves could honestly find more fulfillment offline (which will Still end in criticism, this is media) or another way to get clout will pop up that Doesn’t involve constantly being logged on. Yeah, I can see the cycle will rewind again. They’ll be big and flashy but not without seeming out of touch or saying stuff that won’t catch legitimate criticism. Right now celebrities are, supposedly, trained in great PR. They’re supposed to relate to us and they can’t do that because you just can’t possibly do that once you get transferred into a different lifestyle. You may remember how you started which is fine, but you don’t live that way anymore, which is also fine. However the best image is always the approachable and relatable celebrity, everyone chases after it in everyone they follow even if they deny it. That’s going to go away, which means they no longer have to watch their filter or care for how much money they dropped on a pair of shoes. All the opinions you have of people who ‘aren’t as ethical as your fave’ might fall onto…well your fave, if they’re still around for this, I have to check timing hehe. However I think those battles of who is better than who will also thankfully go away with The Devil here, there’s no longer an obsession with these people because the perception of them has been shattered so while yeah, they’re big celebrities, it’s also like “oh yeah we are from two different worlds, their music is great though”.

Not gonna happen for a bit, but when the change does happen it’s dragged out? Like some people will still try to cling onto how things are being done now, but I feel like it’s more the label or company trying to keep the train going the same so they don’t have to rework images or anything (VII of Pentacles; yeah a lot of work behind the scenes to either rework a botched image or to figure out where to go after events have taken place).

Hm. Don’t like that lol getting a strong feeling that it deals with someone either being very vocal about how they’re very hands on about their work/production only for someone else to come out and tear them to shreds with evidence (hate this but it feels very much like whatever happened with the Beauty community on youtube but not…messy). The Queen didn’t really want to come out so I don’t think they’ll speak up immediately if this is what happens but when they do they’re gonna be pissed. Or another way to see it is someone seen as being very honest with their work and it turns out they’re sleazy (Venus) Hm Okay this is why I don’t like hollywood lol. I mean yeah this can stand for art, but with the Queen and then Venus I think this female energy is being taken advantage of (either their work or legitimately) by someone who has that ‘kid next door’ charm and then the ball gets rolling from there. Since I didn’t like this energy I just asked if everything will turn out okay and I got the VI of Cups. Mm because of the imagery it feels like an issue that gets solved over time (Justice isn’t here but like I’m assuming if it’s over time then legal issues, or if it’s emotional or mental issues then obviously-), and the other interpretation was that they have people in their corner that they’ve worked with before or that are really close to them that have their back so that makes me feel better.

If money = power, then he has all the power in the world. No one can hurt him <3 everyone has to bow down and deal with him, forever and ever and ever. He's the CEO of the biggest megacorp in all of Karmaland, they dabble in all areas of businesses for maximum profit. Entertainment? Food? Clothing? Daily necessities? Real estate? Transportation? You name it, they have it, and he'll sell it and accumulate all the money AND run all other business out of town

He has such a squeaky clean reputation, no one can dig up dirt on him. No, really. He's Karmaland's little darling bachelor, everyone wants a piece of North and he's all too happy to flirt his way in and out of every situation, helps people with being mesmerized with him

Didn't really get the mechanics of flirting or using his looks to get ahead, but hey, when he got the hang of it and kinda understood how it worked? He started flirting for sport, it's just FUN to make people flustered or seeing them show interest in him, it makes him so smug :] since he wasn't the strongest before, he had to rely solely on being a charming, smart guy

It was pretty much a given that he'd join up in the mayoral election. It was pretty much a given he'd be competing with Quackity and Cerdus while actively flirting with both of them for everyone to see (some people were VERY jealous of that cough cough luzu cough cough but ask him if he cares), and it was a given that he was gonna have a friendly relationship with both of the candidates. And he doesn't really show much on his face usually, same for his voice; he's trained himself to emote as much as possible to come off as "eccentric, but Overall 'Normal'".
