Genin Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata, Naruto having to fight the reader in the chunin examin (They and the reader are in love with each other.)

author's note: This is so tragic why would you do this to them. It was always the end of the world when you had to face off against your crush in a game or something at that age, huh? I wrote this from the perspective of the reader being from Konoha as well. I hope you like it!

Uzumaki Naruto

Oh, sweet summer child genin Naruto. I had the biggest crush on him when I was watching the show as a kid. I think even if he was up against someone he had a crush on in the chunin exams, he wouldn’t hold anything back for his sake and their own. The exams are for you to get stronger and show your skills off, after all!

Beforehand, though, would be different. Naruto, for all intents and purposes in part 1, was quite down bad for any person he had a crush on. Seeing your two names on the screen would for sure send him into a flustered shock. He would get that sly grin on his face, and say to you, “I’m not lettin’ anyone stop me from winning, not even you! I’ll make sure not to hurt you, though, you know?”

The fight would be a ferocious but still friendly spar, contrasting from the killing intent a lot of the other participants went in with like Gaara and the Sound Four. You both would give it your all, running yourselves even more ragged, However, in the end Naruto’s Shadow Clones and taijutsu would prove a bit too much and the ref would call you down for the count after a particularly solid blow.

He would help you off of the ground and congratulate you for such a tough-to-win battle. Afterwards, he’d probably turn away from everyone else, grinning and giggling at the realization that he got to hold your hand for a second.

Uchiha Sasuke

Before Itachi traumatized him yet again, Sasuke at this point was actually learning how to kind of open up to people. I think his crush would be extremely well hidden underneath his bad attitude. He’s not the type to let people know his true emotions very quickly. Your names would show up on the screen, and he would simply step forward, ready to engage in a spar.

Sasuke wouldn’t hold back, but obviously if you’re not an enemy he has no reason to severely hurt you. You knew that he was unable to use ninjutsu, so you attempted to use this to your advantage to win the match.

After fighting hard, Sasuke would end up catching you in a taijutsu combo that knocked you down hard, the ref calling you out. Sasuke would stay standing as you got up to make sure you were alright, then bowing his head slightly to you. “Good match. You’ve improved quite a bit, but still not enough to beat me,” he would comment before walking off to join the rest of the genin.

Underneath that cool, teenage edgelord personality, though, his heart was racing from more than just the physical activity he did. He’s just particularly good at hiding it!

Haruno Sakura

Sakura, in the Forest of Death, just had her true awakening moment as a kunoichi. The last thing on her mind is you, but of course you’re the name to pop up with hers on the board above. I could personally see her struggling a little bit with this, does she want to hurt you and push past you? Before her experience, in the exams, I think there’s a chance she would lose resolve here, not wanting to fight the person of her affections. But here, while still hesitant, she’s ready to fight for her position and her honor as a young shinobi.

You two would line up to fight and immediately begin on signal from the ref. You were friends with Sakura, so seeing as you two sparred frequently, you could tell she was holding something back unconsciously. You decided to goad her on a little, to make sure the fight was fair.

Are they kidding me? They think I’m not taking this seriously! Go and crush them, who cares if they’re cute! her inner thoughts would ring. Whatever was restraining her would go away, and you two would exchange ninjutsu and taijutsu back and forth. At the end, however, Sakura barely manages to knock you flat down, advancing to the next round while ragged herself.

Sakura would tease you a bit after helping you get up at the end of the match, some banter ensuing between the two of you. Inside, she would be squealing in delight at getting more of your attention, even though she just smacked you down.

Hyuga Hinata

My sweet, sweet child genin Hinata… Against her crush in the chunin exams, I’m not sure how she would fare. Her painfully shy and reserved attitude may interrupt her thinking process during a fight. Seeing your name on the board with hers would make her face erupt into a fierce blush.

You would meet Hinata on the field, the ref signaling for you to start. She wouldn’t make a move, though, just looking at you in a defensive stance. Her fighting style the entire time would be defensive, trying her best to push off your moves. Since she’s not fighting Neji, I doubt there would be a reason for her to really have her moment yet, so you would eventually win after wearing her down.

After the fight, you would ask her what had happened. The two of you were on missions together before, you had seen her beat down some opponents of your skill level with her Byakugan skills. “I-I’m not sure… I don’t know… Please, let me have a moment,” she would mutter, covering her entire face with her hands and facing away from you.

Wandering away, you would be slightly concerned about Hinata, but all that was on her mind was you, how she hoped you would win the tournament now in her honor.

LIFTING THE SPOILER WARNING ON THIS POST FOR LAUNCH DAY

Here's my initial analysis and thoughts on Asuka's ending (character episode) in Tekken 8

thinking abt getting students now that the Zaibatsu ate shit (btw you don't find out the Zaibatsu is pretty much on track to being done with no leader again, which is why they continue the tournament presumably after the final battle unless you look through the character episodes, not the main story, for some fucking reason)

Asuka finally smiled at her accepting her and the feeling is mutual, this ending had great role reversal in the sense instead of previously only getting clear insight into Lili's feelings and thoughts now we're openly getting them from Asuka in response- she also felt tempted to give in to her old reaction first think later ways but here she's finally thinking before deciding it doesn't matter why, she enjoys fighting Lili and she finally seems to recognize what Lili's schemes are about on a level (wanting Asuka's attention and getting back at her for having lost), this is the closest so far we've ever gotten to a "I like you too"

this is on top of the teasing and compliment she gave Lili's ability in the same scene, and also correcting Lili on the Kazama Motto Asuka learned, which only Asuka could have told her at some point suggesting further closeness

"Softness overcomes hardness" you two are (HOPEFULLY) starting to change your relationship to be softer (also the hilarious hypocrisy of Asuka BARELY being a person living by any softness in practice)

I love that she even refers to Lili as "That noble (rich) girl", an ojou-sama, which is far better than calling her by nothing or using a rude form of You (anta) as in the past (and generally she's given up calling Lili by rude terms be it in the story mode or otherwise including Shaheen's ending, which is honestly more about AsuLili than him lol, it's also incredible seeing Asuka glad Lili's life was protected and joking about Lili being a handful with someone else)

And despite provoking Asuka in a very shitty way reminiscent of Feng, the premise of this ending is Asuka beating Lili at the tournament so Lili will honor her word of putting Asuka's dojo back the way it was before she bought it- which Lili does after losing rather than refuse out of spite, even if she then uses taking it in a fight to provoke Asuka again, it's nice that she IS willing to listen to Asuka when it comes to promises

honestly if you cut the entire scene into only my screenshots here it still looks so fucking gay

This is the de-facto best Asuka ending yet, at last she's happy, hopeful, not confused, and at some form of peace and connection in her life

ALSO ASUKA DIDN'T CALL LILI A DINGBAT SHE CALLED HER AHOU (Idiot/Moron) LIKE ALWAYS AND IT WAS SOFT THIS TIME 😭😭��😭

Plus Asuka might finally get the dojo back up and become the next leader with Jin's image being fixed and thus how people would see Asuka since they're related, as well as the current war being over- though Reina's new devil bullshit will probably ruin this in the future

PAIR OF BIRDS; BIRD MOTIF FOR KAZAMAS RETURNS

I doubt these are Jun's birds specifically it's more likely just symbolic of Asuka and Lili if it means anything at all. Also doesn't have to specify meaning lovebirds, in general their characters will always be put together. But it is funny how Jun's birds always appear to show her connection to someone she loves, so there could be a parallel here that Asuka's bird imagery would represent the same sense of connection. If it is a visual metaphor for lovebirds though by the time we get Tekken 9 then, the cinema of it all.

ALSO Harada has said Jun attracts animals because of her spiritual mastery over martial arts. She's at a level of power where animals don't run because of sensing her aura; she can suppress her fighting spirit. With how at peace AND in control of herself Asuka is in this ending, maybe the birds imply she can move in a similar direction from here on. And it makes sense too because Asuka has returned to a state of equilibrium now that she doesn't have the stress of the world being in chaos affecting her. As a person who prefers being in control, she's back to feeling some control over her life.

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE:

1. It's great that the tone of their relationship is now friendlier, but like in story mode and other places they appear as a pair, we're never shown anything on how they started transitioning from fighting all the time to agreeing to listen and partner up in general, nevermind during a global war they're supposed to have their own personal stakes in beyond not wanting to die (those personal stakes ended up being entirely irrelevant anyway which is it's own problem)

There's a problem present where you're shown the end result of an emotional shift with none of the journey or even a simple scene explaining how they got there, much like the main story and other characters in general many plot points and character changes are resolved off screen showing only the results with no explanation the majority of the time. In the main story this gets even more egregious because even how a character knows specific information usually doesn't get explained at all either unless it relates to Jin understanding the devil gene. This writing makes a lot of things simply happen like it's checking off a list.

In essence, WHERE is a scene connecting Asuka who did nothing but fight Lili and get pissed with her to the Asuka who's tolerant of her, is more catty and accepting than outright angry, is now willing to joke and play around with her, who taught Lili the Kazama Motto she learned (though I guess this one you can say Lili found it while looking up Asuka's family, something we ALSO don't get Asuka's thoughts on beyond surprise) and so on

2. The fact this scene ends with provoking another fight, as much as I like that it's friendly now, isn't the best direction. This fits again into problem 1; there's no on screen room to let these characters breathe and illustrate what made them change now to the viewer. There's no fresh angle given about their relationship outside fighting or even a new approach on their relationship within it. There's no pause in the formula which many people are tired of (and people are already back to calling Asuka a useless piece of shit who's a complete fucking joke, and I can't really blame them entirely because on a surface level all they see is the exact same situation as it's been for twenty years of cutscenes).

Also the logic of having this scene exist is confusing in itself. Nothing in the game story clarified if Asuka sat the tournament out or did participate but was eliminated and decided to follow Lili's progress in Rome as a spectator. A scene explaining either of those would give better weight and context to this one.

3. Zero mention of Asuka's father or his current condition

4. Having Lili imitate what Feng Wei did to dojos like Asuka's is the cruelest way she's ever provoked her. Whereas before it was often ridiculous, silly, and teasing, involving an event that led Asuka to spiral adds something uncharacteristically spiteful toward her from Lili's end. Insofar as what Lili has previously used to get her attention anyway. Keeping Asuka's trauma out of it has always seemed to be a line Lili was willing to respect. And it's off too because this is happening when they're supposed to be becoming friends/are friends now. It's too personal to be brushed off the way it is.

The only way I can rationalize it is if Asuka has let go of her anger towards what Feng did in part (but she still has a special intro where she wants to attack him on sight saying they finally meet so, I don't fuckin know, that may as well have been included as an easter egg if they're gonna do nothing with it) or she never really gave enough of a shit about the entire thing in the first place. You can make a loose argument using prior games to show Asuka never really cared about the revenge aspect as much- but her behavior sorta contradicts this at the same time. So really who fucking knows. Based on how she reacts here I guess it's not a big deal at this point cuz she doesn't get mad and jumps into messing around with Lili like a friend anyway.

Maybe this could be explained too by whatever made them act friendly now in the first place, but again we never saw that. So instead it comes out worse than if we knew.

5. WHY THE FUCK DID THEY MENTION THE ENTIRE MAIN KAZAMA FAMILY WAS ELIMINATED BY OGRE IN THE STORY MODE THEN HAVE THE NEWS NOT IMPACT ASUKA AT ALL

We also never see them discuss what Lili knows about the family in any depth between themselves

Viva le sex gay I guess but now I have more questions than answers and that's a problem when the game acts like I've been given answers it never provided. I got something I wanted but with nothing to show for it.

I remember scrolling MK reddit and a post basically asked why Bi-Han let Sareeena live and consensus was basically Bi-Han thinking with his lower head and feeling bad for her, though a lot of people leaned towards Bi-Han being horny unironically and sparing her because he thought she was pretty and because he didn't seem her a threat.

Like lmao, I get Bi-Han is not socialized that great and I can see where people are coming from but I'm hoping he's not that shallow lol.

Nah, Bi-Han is not that shallow. The man does not comment on women's beauty - or anyone’s for that matter, the way the clearly horny characters do, like Johnny, Erron or Kano. His intro dialogues also has no sexually creepy undertones, the way Kano and Mileena sometimes imply things. So I think it is safe to assume that Bi-Han in general is not a sexually driven type of person.

It would help a lot if the game or tie-in material gives us more direct reasoning for his action, however even the provided basic knowledge allow us to see the main difference between Scorpion and Sareena and it’s not about gender (though that may play some secondary role), but the fact that Hanzo, presumably, wanted to kill Sub-Zero, not for rivalry over the Map but because he was a Lin Kuei, an sworn enemy of Shirai Ryu clan, while Sareena was doing just her duty - following Quan Chi’s orders and there was nothing personal about their fight. So in a sense, Bi-Han could feel some kinship with the woman even despite her attempt at stopping his effort to save Earthrealm and trying to kill him, because he understood well what it means to serve merciless masters, as he himself, no matter how praised, was ultimately just a tool in Grandmaster’s schemes. Sareena has never been anything other than another obstacle in his path to beat down Quan Chi and steal the amulet back, so I can see why murdering her could feel pointless as it didn't serve any real goal of his.

Hanzo on other hand was tipped by Quan Chi about Sub-Zero’s mission - something the sorcerer did not deny at all

Quan Chi: Greetings, I see the ninja has been successful in retrieving my map... as I have forseen. Sub-Zero: Let's get something straight... I am not a ninja. I am Lin Kuei. Scorpion was a ninja! Quan Chi: Ah yes, your Japanese counterpart. It's unfortunate that you happened upon him in your battle with the pesky Shaolin monks. Sub-Zero: Scorpion was tipped off... he knew I was breaking into that temple, and if he weren't there - there wouldn't have been a battle! You are responsible for this sorcerer!

and as the game shows, Scorpion managed to get inside the Shaolin Monks Temple before Lin Kuei. But instead of quietly stealing the man and getting the hell out of the place while his rival was busy fighting Shaolin Monks, Scorpion literally was introduced as a man who mocked and provoked Sub-Zero (“You will fail. Hahahaha”) and challenged him to fight over the Map ("The map is mine Sub-Zero. Fight!").

When the both men met again in Netherrealm, Hanzo accused Bi-Han for killing him in cold blood to which Bi-Han responded he had no choice.

Warrior: I am a dead man. But somehow you have retained your mortality, which would mean you are vulnerable to death. Sub-Zero: Wait... I know your voice. Scorpion: Yessss... I am Scorpion. You killed me in cold blood. Sub-Zero: I had no choice. If I had not stolen that map I would be the dead one.

Maybe Sub-Zero did not trust Scorpion to not attack him again as he did not believe Shirai Ryu would respect the act of mercy. Maybe he figured out he must kill his sworn-enemy, because Lin Kuei tradition demanded that and if Grandmaster learned about Sub-Zero sparing Scorpion’s life, he would be severely punished. Whatever was the reason, Bi-Han took no pride in killing Shirai Ryu, as he did not boast about that. When returning to Lin Kuei Temple, Bi-Han greeted the leader with “Grandmaster, in honor of the Lin Kuei, I bring you this sacred Map of Elements.” but there was no as a bonus, I also killed the filthy Shirai Ryu dog. Instead, he was clearly angry at Quan Chi for creating the whole situation in the first place by hiring the second assassin of the enemy clan (“[Scorpion] knew I was breaking into that temple, and if he weren't there - there wouldn't have been a battle! You are responsible for this sorcerer!).

So to my understanding, killing Hanzo was dictated by unfavorable circumstances and long-termed enmity between Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei clans that forced Bi-Han’s hand while Sareena was just a demoness doing her job the same way as he was doing his. Frankly, Fujin too was not killed by Bi-Han, nor I don’t think sources implied he attempted to murder any Gods of Elements or Shaolin Monks on purpose - otherwise I think Raiden would be much more angry at the Lin Kuei assassin. Or at least mentioned that, in similar fashion to intro dialogue in which Liu Kang said "The Shaolin's losses have left many angry" to past!Scorpion, who took part in murdering Shaolin Monks in MK11.

Also, when Sareena came to aid Bi-Han in his fight against Quan Chi, Sub-Zero was understandably surprised by demoness’ action:

Sub-Zero: Why did you help me? Sareena: You are still mortal... that means you can escape the Netherealm. Sub-Zero: There won't be anywhere to go if I don't get the amulet back. Sareena: Take me with you... I've waited an eternity to escape. Sub-Zero: You don't understand. I can't leave without the...

but there is literally zero implication he finds Sareena sexy or hot or trying to pull the card “I spared your life so you own me” to get a “reward” from her. I repeat, a relatively sexy/beautiful lady just asked Sub-Zero to take her with him and Bi-Han’s mind was solely on the mission - getting back the amulet before Shinnok destroys his realm.

Dunno about you all, but that interaction for me doesn’t sound like Bi-Han was thinking with his dick or in any way ever was smitten by Sareena’s beauty; he was a man on a mission and there is a chance he may be just more merciful than people want to give him a credit for.

The last one brings me back to MK9, in which I still think Bi-Han's head gesture was a voiceless support for Johnny to not kill Baraka, the same way Raiden did for Cyrax. He may not have any love for strangers, he may mock Hanzo, but I don't think he is the cold killer that takes pleasure in killing like some characters do.

Farscape Rewatch - Different Destinations, 3x05

I think DD is the single most depressing, bleakest episode of Farscape and one I find hardest to watch and rewatch; it makes me cry. There are more heartbreaking episodes out there, true. Episodes I ended up sobbing in more than I do here (DMD for one). But the reason DD is so profoundly bleak is that the message, the meaning of the story seems to be: there is no point in trying, anything you do makes it worse and there is nothing you can do to make it right.

Because the whole situation is ultimately no one’s fault? Or everyone. I suppose, if you want to really attenuate the blame, you can blame John, because he wanted Stark to be comforted. Stark is, after all, now near catatonic in his loss of Zhaan. I think his initial composure was just shock and it wore off and he descended into this. Here he is imitating Zhaan’s words and gestures, as if he’s turning himself into a facsimile in grief.

I think that part of the reason that John wants to comfort Stark is because John is, despite everything, despite the fact that it has been beaten out of him until there is only narrow scope, is innately kind. But another part is that I think John recognizes a certain kinship, with insanity in Stark, and with loss of love driving one mad. It’s further and twisted but there and I think John has a certain ‘here but for the grace of God go I reaction. I love the scene with D’Argo, Aeryn, John and Stark, where Aeryn, frustrated, turns to D’Argo if he is feeling lonely because he and she are the only ones not hearing voices in their head.

Or I am thinking of a later scene in ‘Meltdown’ when John tells Stark that Aeryn ‘is my Zhaan.’

But yeah, to give borderline insane, grieving, and very powerful energy being a vid which is half peace treaty, true, but half last battle? Bad idea. But no one in their right (or even wrong mind) would expect a tear in time created by Stark. We can’t blame John for it any more than we can blame Stark for creating the tear, or D’Argo and Aeryn fighting when they got there (they are attacked) etc etc. And John almost did fix everything right, if that nurse didn’t shoot the general at the last minute. I understand her, but I just want to shake her and yell ‘stupid woman.’

The is one of the episodes I get mildly frustrated with the crew playing ‘pin the blame on John’ game, even though they don’t do it overly much, and it’s frustration talking, not genuine blame.. It. Is. Not. His. Fault. UGH. Stop. I know, I know, emotional masochist. Still, come on.

I love the surreal scene of Scorpius playing the harmonica, in cowboy boots with ‘Andy’ on them. And I love Stark’s kindness, even in the midst of his own grief and madness, towards the little girl, Citrina. I never realized before that when he hugs her, once she said she never cried when her father died, he is crying instead and for her. Another transfer of sorts.

He is so gentle throughout, in a way death is his mileau.

But the show, in its consistent bleakness, does not allow a comfort of a peaceful death or life after or anything but bleakness. It refuses even crumbs of comfort.

Or Aeryn, amazing Aeryn, learning that the PK hero Deacon was still a hero, just a very different one, and that underneath the propaganda myths is truth of honor, and the past where PKs were not yet perverted but were defenders of truth and justice. And having to send this kid to die and it ending up meaning nothing in the scheme of things, except another burden for her. She has more optimism in the beginning of this episode than John (who is utterly bleak in his worldview and yet somehow it still goes below his nonexistent expectations, still breaks his heart.)

I love D’Argo’s moment of bonding with the kid, as well. But he is not as distraught at the end because ultimately, both he and Aeryn are tougher, soldiers from birth by nature and nurture and culture and blood. Unless it’s the death of a few very specific people, they can function on, stiff upper lip, no wound on them as bad as John’s, who is despite it all, just a talented amateur.

And so we end the episode with John utterly hollow, broken, sitting there just sifting sand through his fingers, because yes, they minimized the damage but the nurses were slaughtered anyway, the same nurses who would have been saved if they never went through. And I love that, as always, it is Aeryn who is there for him at his lowest, who is there to answer his hopelessly decent person’s ‘What was the point? [of the murders]’ with her PK-nihilistic ‘There probably was no point.’

The Universe is cruel and even trying to help ends up worse and how far has John come (been broken) from the idealist of the beginning, and how much further into darkness and despair he still has to travel. I think he is so shattered because he never gets truly used to the cruelty of the Universe. I wonder if it’s because he’s had a safe, proper childhood. It makes him fight because of his burning sense of injustice, but it also makes him vulnerable the way Aeryn and D’Argo, who are soldiers by birth, culture and breeding, or even Chiana and Zhaan never are.

I love that at his lowest moment in this ep, in this season so far, Aeryn is there for him (I remember years ago on Farscape boards someone pointed out that her name, ‘Aeryn Sun’ is really ‘air and sun,’ two essentials for living. Because that is what she is to John. I have no idea if the makers thought of it, but how incredibly appropriate.)

And the fact that John tried to go back, to fix it, or to save them and die trying is…GUH. I love Crichton so much. Of course, I really don’t see how it’s his fault (not even not leaving the guns, they couldn’t leave future technology), so it’s just his enormous sense of responsibility (just as that is what made him talk to Nurse and tell her they were leaving, as if he wanted to be focal point for blame later).

and Yes non-binary people can use she/her pronouns but I think she'd probably use she/they/elf (as in neopronouns) too!

Hot take all of her bad behavior is just from being an unchecked child and she'll grow out of most of it. I actually don't like the concept elf bullies Harrison bc she has a crush on him- (don't get me wrong this is 0 Nerrison hate I just don't like when they start from that.) I think she's actually jealous? Threatened of him maybe? Hear me out, before David had all their names remembered he was pulling a Cameron and grouping some together. Specifically only Nerris and Harrison. Nerris reacted childishly like children do and didn't take kindly to that and saw Harrison as immediate competition. (They even argue at one point about who's the most magical.) So that's why she targets him and treats him like a loser to keep him down and make herself feel higher.

It gives me the same vibe kids competing with each other academically rather than in sports bc once something is labeled as a team Nerris actually seems to do okay in it. So I think this is a behavior she learned way more in school, and why I HC her to be one of those honor student types who likes being recognized as the teacher's favorite.

I don't believe Nerris is even that deeply aware of the whys and how's of why they act like this. They just do things, man. Then do silly little flossing dances after.

They probably played movie star planet and all the other child website roleplaying games and started fantasy roleplaying groups on there which was probably difficult with all the family roleplays and wolf clans being a way more popular choice to pretend as. Elf needed something to do in the winter when it got too cold to larp outside !!!! They probably switch over to more writing based forms of roleplay as they got older.

In the show we actually see her playing a game called "Pixies and Pythons" or something instead of DND and there's like hot pixie women on the cover and I'm choosing to believe she DIDN'T bring that from home camp campbell just has offbrand EVERYTHING.

Both of her parents sew and they make all of their costumes for her and I like to think Nerris is very "navy blue starry wizard" aesthetic so they mostly stick to that. Her mom's supportive and will add anything she wants to it but her dad gets excited with hisown ideas and opinions too.

I think Nerris' gender exspression being neutral might've got them certain comments in school and why she specifically decided to make her character's title "Nerris the cute" and why often the first thing she aims against Harrison is his looks. (That, or, the "Nerris the cute" is a title her dad came up with for her before she could. Yes I'm saying this man brought the baby to larp in a carrier.)

Has a whooole collection of dice and she gives some to her friends when they come over but has to specifically pick out the ones she DOESN'T want anymore first.

Them and Harrison are Lord of the Rings VS Harry Potter. (It's possible to like things without supporting, liking, or agreeing with the creator of it. Nerris knows this...) Still calls him a transphobe whenever he brings the franchise up. Can't even defend himself bro they just go "is it bc I'm trans/j"

Timey Wimey…Uh Oh: OFFICIAL DESIGN: King Cobra

King Cobra, alternatively known as Luka Couffaine, the oldest brother of Juleka Couffaine now Mistress Tigress. Luka is at least 24 years old, being a part of the old Miraculous Team as Vipereon for three years before Shawdow Moth got ahold of all the Miraculouses. He is very experienced with the use of the Snake Miraculous and has a very close bond with the snake kwami known as Sass. Luka Couffaine was the very first person to know Ladybug and Chat Noirs identities. He was supposed to be the one trained to take Chat Noirs place if anything were to happen to him but that honor was given to Ladybugs childhood friend and Chat Noirs closest friend, Nino. Before the corruption Luka was the oldest member on the Miraculous team as he was one year older than all of the team members including Ladybug. He was very chill and cool headed, he was also Marinette’s first boyfriend for a year but they had to break up as her duties of being Ladybug and Guardian kept them apart. Though he still loves Marinette very dearly and does have some lingering feelings for Marinette, he knows her and Adrien were meant to be and their miraculouses proved that. Luka along with Alya and Nino were the biggest Ladynoir shippers and even helped in getting the two together. Down the road Luka spends a lot of time with the dragon heroine known as Ryuko aka Kagami, due to them being patrol partners for close to two years. The two eventually have their own shipping fandom just like Ladynoir does and start dating. Luka finds Kagami’s inner music calming, soothing, and smooth but at the same time it feels like her song is always on fire adding a mixture of calmness and chaos. During the corruption he is very protective of the Dragon villainess.

Before the corruption Luka was always careful, kind, gentle and sensitive to others feelings. After the corruption he is cold-hearted and cruel, he likes to tear apart his victims feelings, teasing them over and over again, he plays with their feelings and even reverses time so he can endlessly have his fun bullying them, though he does not act this way with Marinette or his team. His relationship with Marinette no longer has any romantic feelings as he moved on through the years and even started dating Kagami. He sees Marinette as another little sister that he has to protect. He learns of Marinette’s old mentor Master Fu and despises the old man for leaving Marinette alone and for shunning Chat Noir.

Luka is notified by Alya that after Shadow Moth gets ahold of all the Miraculouses that Marinette places a mask of happiness on and hides her emotions, going to the point of lying to him about her depression. It gets worse when Marinette just stops going to school at all, staying locked up in her room. Luka tried to talk to Marinette about talking to her friends or her partner about how she was feeling but Marinette remained stubborn saying she’s already ruined so many lives she doesn’t need to ruin what little happiness her partner has now that he’s finally free from having a tragic love with her. Luka has Alya report to him about how Marinette is doing. Things didn’t get better, Marinette’s depression got really bad and her trauma of losing the kwamis got to the point Marinette couldn’t stand being near Adrien which broke the poor lovesick fools heart. Luka begins to grow a deep hatred for whoever betrayed Marinette and has a burning hatred for Monarch. Everything then started to get serious when a powerful Akuma brutally murdered Ladybug(Marinette) on Live television, leaving Luka the terrifying realization that Marinette will be stuck in this never ending bloody battle with Monarch who wants her dead. This is a stepping stone to King Cobras corruption

He has the power of the Snake Miraculous but boosted. The corrupted Akuma mixed with the Miraculous allows him to use second chance as many times as he wants. He can go back in time for a long period of time and even manipulate what happens in those periods of time both past and present. His second power is Last Chance, since second chance gives the chance to reverse time Last Chance takes away the target's chance of victory meaning he can steal their chances of victory from the lucky charm or any of his enemies. Using his voice he can charm his enemies to gain control over their bodies forcing them to do his bidding. He has the animal tendencies of a King Cobra snake and has a very venomous bite. King Cobra has the ability to turn into a snake so he can sneak up on his enemies. He can summon snake minions, his favorite being Kaguri who is named after his girlfriend Kagami, his snakes have the ability to also bite people and turn them into his slaves. He has two powers: Second Chance, and Last Chance. King Cobra can also see into different timelines through different snake miraculous holders eyes. He is able to manipulate timelines as well which does not help Marinette and eventually leads to the timeline being torn apart while trapped in the past.

He is a stable person to be around unless you say something triggering that makes him snap and violently attack you. His relationship with his akumatized team is general in command under Alya who leads the attacks and is the right hand man for Chat Blanc who plans the attacks. King Cobra is like a big brother to all of them and is very protective of them, it is best not to threaten or be near his team while he’s unstable. He fights hard to help his team capture Marinette so they can corrupt her and she can be free from the painful duty of being Ladybug…no Monarch or Argos means no sad Marinette. Maybe then Adrien and Marinette could actually be together and Sass could be back in Marinette’s warm embrace with his other kwamis. Though he is still Luka his miraculous is corrupted meaning Luka is also corrupted. If he wishes to King Cobra can detransform back into Luka though the Akuma has merged with the Miraculous.

The reason why the corrupted miraculous hero’s prefer to stay transformed is because when they are not transformed the Akumas hold is weaker and some times their old selves come to light but the corrupted kwamis like to remind their holders why they are doing this as the kwamis also have the same goal; corrupt Marinette so they can have their family whole again as the corrupted kwamis miss their guardian and Tikki. The corrupted kwamis are manipulative and their words are like poison venom that their holders feed off of. They are always successful at getting their holders back on track. Though the team does detransform sometimes so they can hang out with their kwamis as they missed them over the years that Monarch had them.

King Cobra likes to play with Marinette…he knows how powerful and smart she is with or without the Miraculous so he likes to test her limits and see what she comes up with to win, he has a lot of fun when Alya breaks the timeline and brings different versions of Miraculous hero’s into the past timeline, especially when they are different versions of Marinette with other miraculouses. He just likes testing Marinette whether its her older self or her younger self. King Cobra sticks close with Mistress Tigress, as the siblings are always together.

Because Monarch melted down the ancient Miraculouses of the very first miracle box that ever existed. The Miraculous feel incomplete, no longer whole or able to support the Kwami that inhabits the Miraculous. The rings feel wrong to the ancient magic that was used to create and protect the Miraculous and the Miraculous is trying to fix itself whenever it can with the kwami's powers. But due to Monarch using them mainly for transferring the power of the Miraculous over to the Akuma, the Miraculous no longer has the power to fix itself.

So when Monarch had the stupid idea to kidnap all of Ladybug's team and force the rings on them and then akumatize the rings. The Miraculous used the Akuma to fix itself while using the Akumas magic to make itself complete all while corrupting the Kwamis and the users. The Miraculous begins to use the Akuma and suck the Akuma of all of its magic, so it's a never ending cycle of the miraculous stealing magic from the Akuma and the Akuma stealing magic from the butterfly miraculous that it's being powered by, the Miraculouses start to become corrupted because the Akuma is giving them the wrong kind of magic to fix the Miraculous and make it complete.

The miraculous, the Akuma, and the holder merge into one with their soul, and that's how it's corrupted because the miraculous is feeding off of the Akuma and the body that's attached to the miraculous is feeding off the magic of the corrupted miraculous to get strength and be powerful.

Luka knew something bad was going to happen the moment Monarch forces the Snake ring onto his finger, the feeling of dread and hate burning through his body as the ring was akumatized he watched as it turned back into the old snake miraculous form of a bracelet. He tries to fight it and ends up almost succeeding but then the cries of Sass are heard and Luka realizes he and Sass are in his mind. Sass starts crying saying they are happy to finally be reunited and freed from that cruel man. Saying they can’t wait to be back in Marinette’s warm home eating croissants with Tikki and his other kwamis. Then he breaks out sobbing realizing that will never happen, Luka tries to comfort his friend but Sass keeps going on about how him and his kwamis will never get the happy ever after with Marinette. Sass takes it a step further, saying that their poor Guardian will never be free from her never ending duties as Ladybug as long as Monarch and Argos lived…as long as people like them existed. Sass slowly goes through Lukas memories, showing him all of the time Sass and his kwamis were happy with Marinette, showing Luka the times they spent together when he was Vipereon, making him feel the happiness he felt as Vipereon only for Monarch to take it away. The corruption takes ahold, taking Lukas anger and hate for Monarch and Argos, digging him deeper into the corruption.

Sass then reveals the Chat Blanc and Ephermal Timeline to Luka…revealing everything. Monarchs identity is revealed and the corruption takes complete hold as Luka curses Gabriel for ruining any chance of happiness Adrien or Marinette had. Sass continues to add more to the fire, he adds the torture the kwamis went through under Monarchs rule, Marinette loneliness and her depression. Luka sees how unfair Marinette and Adriens destinies were. Sass takes advantage of this.

“Isn’t it not fair? Why does that man get to know happiness and joy while he takes it from his son? While Marinette can’t enjoy love? Why does he ruin everything yet get away with it.” Sass asks sadly as he curls around Lukas neck. “If only we could manipulate the timeline…make sure people like Gabriel Agreste never exist, maybe then Marinette and Adrien could love one another without fear of Gabriel knowing.” Luka liked the idea, “Maybe we could make sure to wipe Gabriel Agreste off the timeline…then we can be free.”

“Then everyone can be free…”

Luka knows its wrong, but he wants to do it, he wants the power to manipulate the timelines, he wants to give Marinette and Adrien their happy end, he wants their family back together.

“Don’t you want them to be free?” Sass asks as he holds his miraculous out. Luka takes it and the corruption is complete.

Monarch learns not to fuck with a snake, they tend to bite and this snake enjoyed biting and ripping his eyes out. After all an eye for an eye. the peacock on the other hand…well he knows Marinette called dibs on that one…but the past Hawkmoth? Oh what fun he would have.

Besides all that he has a wedding to plan for his dear leader Chat Blanc, he just has to catch the bride first.

just before one of his training sessions, you surprise him with a handmade haramaki that looked just like his last one. like he usually does, he keeps his words to a minimum but that look in his eye told you everything you needed to hear

the best way to describe it was pure love and admiration. it continues to show when he actually puts it on and he’ll randomly touch it and smile because he’s thinking of you

from then on, he totally gets it and loves watching you work. seeing you so concentrated is cute. you’ll catch him staring at you, and he has no shame about it

when you’re frustrated and annoyed that you can’t seem to get a design right, zoro’s sounds very harsh and is not at all what you want to hear right now. but he does mean well. and you understand what he’s saying

since he doesn’t know much about fashion, he’ll give his advice in his own terms. which makes it sound like a battle to the death lol. you’ll probably end up laughing and feel somewhat better

if motivation was a person, it would be zoro. he is the definition of ‘don’t stop till you reach the top’. his advice to you is to start from the very beginning, why you love fashion, and to go from there. it may not make much sense at the start but once you start to relive it, it becomes clear

Overview

In a constant state of near aetherical starvation, Marlowe can hardly be considered a threat one on one. Unless she is well fed, she tends to be particularly weak and sickly, and her magic is as volatile as her mood in having a chance to heal or harm friend & foe alike. She will be incredibly reluctant to fight anyone, let alone kill anyone...but Marlowe is also easily goaded into much. When absolutely desperate, she will burn right through her aether reserves in an attempt to escape or brutalize the enemy if she is cornered.

Traits

"Oh, I'll try anything once-!" Susceptible to seduction and tempering effects A lover to all, Marlowe is drawn to the call of those who want her attention. Like a moth to the flame, she is unable to turn away from that which beckons to her. She however seems to suffer no ill effects in the long-term from even the most powerful of entities - as fickle as always. "Doesn't seem all too b̴͚́̍͘a̶̝͇̩̘͆̉ď̶͙̪̣̮̒̑ to me" Immune to magical fear effects, resistant to non-magical fear effects Perilous situations or foes do not seem to strike her in the same way as it does for others, and often it seems the closer to danger she is the more excited she may become. Marlowe can also often survive what would otherwise be considered mortal wounds, which naturally only inflates her sense of self that much more. "I am Her most merciful" Compelled to heal non-enemies when asked, magically or medically Marlowe has only learned to heal in order to obey the command by an other worldly source that she must do so. She is unable to turn away non-enemies who request her aid if she can see that they are injured - but surely everyone should be given the chance to be redeemed? Saved? "Your spark will fuel my fires for an eternity" The nightkin purposefully weakens herself in shunning her heritage, suffering in an everlasting hunger Marlowe can be sent into a feeding frenzy when she has burned through too much of her own aether and that of her environment. She will attack those richest in aether first regardless of her relationship with them, opting to use whatever means necessary to try and devour their essence.

okay so i don’t WANT a locked tomb au for the owl house, but hoo boy does my brain try to lump all my most recent fixations together. so, a few details

1. hunter and belos are from the eighth house. you know, the one that sucks the life force out of cavaliers just cuz. you’ll never guess who’s the cavalier here.

2. lilith is one of the first lyctors. her cav killed herself so that lilith would HAVE to ascend, and while it eats lilith up inside, she knows it was for the best. (all of the rest of the necros have gone through with it and ascended now). except, of course, eda. who’s still clutching raine’s living hand like a lifeline, and who lilith has heard whispering about... packing up with raine and fleeing the houses entirely.

so lilith kills raine, and offers eda the choice to either lose them entirely or ascend. and it’s.... it’s fucking awful. but what other choice is there now? there’s just ways to numb the pain and to try to cling to the sister that she loves so dearly, even after everything that lily did to her.

3. gus is the necro from the fourth, which is why he and mattholomule are so incomprehensibly young. neither of them were really supposed to be there. gus had older cousins; his dad wasn’t even in charge of the fourth until he was five or so! but his dad’s older siblings died and then his cousins died and suddenly, gus is the necromatic heir and he’s not a kid anymore he’s a necro with a cav and battle experience and he doesn’t know how to deal with any of it. matt’s older brother, steve, was the cav to gus’s last older, necromatic cousin.

it’s supposed to be an honor, serving with the heir to the house, but with how many of them have dropped dead in the past year, it’s hard for matty to think of it as anything but a death sentence. (steve thought he’d be the first cav of this generation to see an heir through to proper adulthood... but he wasn’t. he barely saw matt through cav training before he was blown up trying to protect the necro that didn’t make it out anyway)

but gus is... nice. and they share the same interests, and he isn’t mean to matt about not being tough or strong or old enough. gus keeps promising him that he’s not going to get treated like bria, the absolutely AWFUL necro he trained with before gus came of age and they met up and meshed instead.

and they both uphold that as well as they can as thirteen year old boys. but they’re still a necro and cav, and that dynamic is doomed from the start.

4. ed and em are coronabeth and ianthe from the third. they are the richest and most influential house. ed isn’t a necromancer, just like coronabeth. amity is the younger, cavless necro sister who their mother forces to tag along because “the emperor requested our heir and our cavalier primary! there’s NO reason that amity couldn’t learn a thing or two to bring back, directly, to the third house. right, amity dear?”

amity is tired of living in her siblings’ shadows and is going to learn what she can and sabotage them.

5. willow is something approximating ACTUAL dulcinea from the seventh house, and in true seventh fashion, she’s dying. she’s been dying since she was born, basically. she’s very strong but tries to restrain herself from overuse of her powers to preserve her own life and that of others. she thinks that thalergy is a better source than thanergy and is running experiments to see if she positively affect plants.

boscha is her cav because boscha is The Best In Their Age Cohort TM but they do not, on any level, get along. boscha thinks that she’s weak and that she can bully willow into being a “better” necro or at least just fucking dying already. it’s... ugly. willow has the social power in the relationship and is VERY powerful at necromancy, but with her kind disposition and lack of inclination to use those powers... oof.

6. luz isn’t a necro, and she isn’t a cav... she’s a dav’s caughter when her mom gets called away with her necro, the current master warden of the sixth house.

“luz, this is my job.”

“but you could get hurt!”

her mother sighs. “which is my job, mija.”

“you’re a sixth cav!” luz protests, “you weren’t even supposed to see combat! ever!” camilla noceda learned everything that she possibly could so that she could fight her way into the program and offered Outside Knowledge TM to the scholars, which combined with her abilities and ties to the warden are the only things keeping her position stable.

(luz’s mother hates that she’s taken it up as well, but she can’t really blame her. luz is SO clever and so creative, but so much of the sixth house is dedicated to the parts of academia that are difficult for her. maintaining her position requires something like this... which doesn’t make it less painful to her mother.)

“you can’t leave me here,” luz begs. her mother is the only person who has ever been kind to her. as a teenage refugee from the world outside the houses, THIS camilla was basically only able to get clearance to stay by becoming a cavalier. and she did, but luz is strange and impulsive and silly and only HALF house, and it makes it so that even though her life should be easier than her mother’s... it isn’t.

so luz stows away on the ship to try to protect her mom from Whatever the Fuck Lyctorhood Looks Like, and if not at least go to live with her. the emperor is in charge of everything. he can make some room for a lyctor’s DAUGHTER

her mother doesn’t find out about her stowing away until they’re already at caanan house, and by that point, it’s too late to send someone back.

her mother tries to misdirect her and keep her out of whatever’s happening, luz ends up doing research with a group of friends who come very close to lyctorhood... and figuring out that it’s not something anyone... ANYONE... should actually want.

willow and hunter keep sneaking away from their partners who keep trying to Do More Of This Nonsense and then end up... accidentally doing More Of This Nonsense. but like. together and consensually. (hunter: i’m already a battery! i don’t mind being one for you instead <3 willow: oh god oh no oh SHIT)

luz and amity Accidentally a cavnecro bond, but they refuse to do any of the tests because luz has seen how much it’s been taking out of her mom and amity wants to beat her siblings, but god she’s not THAT desperate. she kinda likes this perky little swordwielding weirdo, and they both have a very specific fantasy series of books that they like in addition to studying necrocav things. (yes, there is a good witch azura in the nine houses. because i say so!)

the people cytherea kills: both of the early twenties girls from the second, em’s cav from third, matt while he and gus are separated, the real grownups from the fifth, camilla and the warden from the sixth (rip but this is not a story with parents). cytherea and her cav stand ins are from the ninth here. I PRAY THE TOMB STAYS LOCKED FOREVER BITCH (i had my fingers crossed)

when we get to the end and know what’s going on, kinda, we get one full lyctor. this combo comes from... belos and boscha. they each realized their partner was avoiding them to work together. and NEITHER of them were giving up on this dream. so. uh. in the end belos kills boscha for lyctorhood and to join cytherea’s Whatever She Was Doing. and boscha was happier with that solution than she EVER was with willow’s “please stop trying to die for me”.

with em’s cav dead already, even if she wanted to go full ianthe, she couldn’t.... except ed offers, and em goes WHAT THE FUCK and then. they do not do that. (hunter does though. he throws himself on a sword to give his life force to willow full griddlehark style).

willow ends up lobotomizing herself enough to keep hunter from getting destroyed, but it puts her at a serious disadvantage. while she doesn’t owe belos any favors because he didn’t help, he still hates her for “stealing” hunter and also completing his feat and diluting the credit that he gets and the attention.

while belos and willow are carted off by OG lyctors and jod himself, the rest of the gang are captured by the blood of eden. ed decides to do a corona and join up, as is his right as the non-necromatic twin forced to pretend about it. gus isn’t either old enough or patriotic enough to be judith deuteros wholesale, but he IS a deeply powerful necromancer who’s traumatized by the loss of his cav, his new friends, imprisonment and *gestures to everything*. plus, his mind, necromancy, and maybe a resurrection beast are all attacking him. so. that’s FUN

luz and amity at least get off easier than cam and pal do in canon because they are in their own bodies and luz doesn’t have to go on a Skull Hunt TM, but it’s still not great for them being POWs.

while ed is mainly Being Corona, he isn’t fully on that side. he’s continuing to play along that amity is a fellow cav and that em and gus are the only necromancers that the blood of eden has in its possession. they want a LYCTOR to study, but they aren’t getting one.

7. not entirely sure how it would work because this is a half-baked textpost au but i feel like the collector as jod, a more feral and hurting version of king as alecto and bby normal king as nona would work... very very well. ESPECIALLY with lumity in their own bodies and raine! in eda’s body baby sitting a very confused little king... in willow park’s body.

I see everyone putting up opinions on the new live action Avatar: The Last Airbender so, might as well put mine up too!

Spoiler warning, my good friends! So be cautious!

Bottom line is, I do enjoy the show, it’s better then the live action movie but I feel no where close to the original show. But lets be fair, bringing back ATLA in retelling the same story as a live action WOULD be hard. It’s all stuff we’ve seen before and lets be honest most of the people watching the live action know the story of the Gaang like the back of our hand. Those in charge had to find a way to give us the characters and story we love while making it entertaining for us still, and while a good amount of us would have been fine with the script basically being the same (this HAS been done in a couple animations to live action things) they had to account for the many more who wouldn’t actually watch the whole series because of it being the same. So, new story(ish) and changing the characters around. So lets talk characters!

Starting with Sokka

They made Sokka more of a “big brother” protector instead of a “sexiest warrior” protector. (Heck, we can even see a couple girls in his “army” in Wolf cove) Probably because he learned he needs as many able bodies as he can with all the “men” leaving, he learned what Pokko learned in episode 8.

But I do miss seeing our boy humiliated by Sukki, their new relationship feels like a watered down version of the original, with Sukki being more like a diet Sukki. She’s not the same kind of girlboss who flips over and teaches Sokka, instead Sokka is an awkward turtle duck who gets pinned while stretching and is spooked off.

We get a more intimate training scene which I think was cute, but we miss out on “This dojo is for Kyoshi Warriors only” and “I would be honored if you taught me” (as well as Sokka in uniform, miss that) I can’t hate the new Sokka, he’s compassionate and protective to his sister, he hides how much he loves Momo until episode 7 (god that hug he gives that stupid lemur-), and most of all being the one in charge of his village is brought up more and feels more heavy on his shoulders then in the original which I like. He was left in charge at a young age but the original didn’t dwell on it, while this one has shown us more impact of it (his talk with Yue (both as a fox and in person), his talk with the Mechanist, ever argument between him and Katara) he also feels more in the “big brother” role which I enjoy. Yes, I miss our original sarcastic strategist, but I feel like they’re laying more groundwork and background for all of Sokka’s brilliance

“Its a war balloon”… “it doesn’t look like its for battle just transportation”….. “Because I made it”

Like- YES! Show off more of our boys brain and need to protect! Show us how deep his shoulders drop due to the wait his father dropped on them! Show us his knowledge of anything being used as a weapon!

We don’t get to see how he interacts with Jet, or ribs against Zuko, or much of his planning which I’m quite peeved about, but them showing me Sokka geeking over inventions and acknowledging both his achievements and burdens does make it a bit easier to take in this new version.

SSM 2022 Day 02

Prompt: Community

Summary: Uchiha Sasuke will learn how his people adore the wife that has been gifted to him – Uchiha Sakura. (Warring States era!AU)

A/N: a little late sorry! i hope you'll enjoy reading this.

It was almost two months after an extravagant wedding was held in the Uchiha compound, the celebration lasted for a week, 5 days of preparation and gatherings were held in the streets of their home. It was his mother's idea of course, he had refused many times but one look at her face his mask of indifference crumbled. These festivities in honor of their clan leader's union weren't necessary at all. Why would they celebrate a union without love in the first place? The woman was gifted to him for truce and for peace.

They have gifted the princess of their small town to him because they are endangered on becoming wiped out if the Uchiha and Senju hadn't had any plans on halting their war. After all, the Haruno Clan is unfortunately residing in the middle of the Uchiha and Senju territories. In exchange for his family's protection of their little town, they gave him their princess to take care of him. Like he needed some caring, he can take care of himself alone.

He has never given his time on knowing anything from the Haruno clan, he didn't even spare a glance to the woman when they wed, his mind is preoccupied with countless of battle tactics and how he can run their clan. Now that his father is dead and his traitor of a brother is nowhere to be seen, the burden of handling something he was unprepared for weighed on his shoulders greatly. His own clan elders have never seen him fit to the position since his brother is basically a prodigy, why would they even bother to look at someone who was made so that if things didn't go as planned with his brother, they will have a second option.

Though, no matter how many unfortunate events were thrown at him, his brother - Itachi, was always there for him, and supported him greatly. He admits how he had been a very good big brother to him, before his traitorous acts that is.

Now, he's the clan leader of the fabled Uchiha clan, and he has a wife he never knew, and has no plans in getting to know. It seems like fate has been good to the youngest of the main branch of their clan. As long as his mother is supporting him and there for him, he could not ask for more.

Everything had been good until recently he had gotten home on the brink of death, his lifeline was barely hanging on a thin thread he was sure the grim reaper was waiting for him at his door. He didn't know what had transpired when he had fallen unconscious for a week and a half.

He also couldn't remember how he got home, his loyal soldiers may be the reason behind how.

When he awoke and the sound of startled gasp of a maid echoed in his chamber - him and his wife's room - he doesn't know how he was sleeping in the same room with the woman he's married with and he still does not know anything about her, except for her surname and ridiculous color of hair. They'd pass in greeting when they were in the same vicinity, or she would greet him, Sasuke on the other hand is too preoccupied to notice. They have fallen in this kind of shared silence, it is welcomed, and he knows she doesn't have any plans on knowing him too. Their feelings are mutual in that case.

So when the sight of her small face obscured his vision, he nearly let out a gasp of disbelief, which will be uncharacteristic of him that's why he silently thanked Kami for not letting him slip the stoic and aloof mask he's perfected.

Wide jade eyes are staring at him, he saw her face change from concern to relief when she checked for his temperature. Her hand glows in a color of sea-foam green as they hover on his chest, he stiffened and his sharingan came to life to threaten her to stop whatever she's doing to him. But to his amazement - he'd never admit this out loud - she just scowled at him and continued her work. After a moment he felt a warm chakra invade his insides, it wasn't probing or invading, it was a welcomed feeling. He is confused, he never knew that the princess of the little unknown town could do this. She's a healer, a great feat to have in his clan since they never have one, and never bothered by learning it. They would let themselves die than admit that they needed saving.

When she is done, she retracts her hands from him and an uncomfortable feeling of disappointment blooms inside his chest. He quickly squashed that thought out of his mind but the image of her jade eyes danced in the forefront of his mind. What was wrong with him?

"Sakura-sama, here is the pail of water you asked for me to fetch" one of his family's maids interrupted his thoughts. Sakura, huh. His mind repeated her name again and again, making sure that he'll get used to it. He never knew anything about her yet looking at her he could tell how she knew everything about him. There is a crease of worry between her brows that he would never understand why.

Because you never gave yourself a chance to get to know her.

The rest of the day he watched her do her chore as his wife, she guided him to his home's engawa and sat with him, offering her silent but welcoming presence. She have poured him tea and would go back to her reading beside him. There was a respectful space between them yet he could still feel the warmth radiating from Sakura.

His wife.

Somehow, learning her name and talents this day makes pride slowly surge in his veins.

Since he's still recovering from the grave assault he sustained from his last battle. Sasuke opted to walk around the Uchiha compound, he had planned to take his wife with him but upon knowing that his wife already has a plan for the day, he is clearly surprised by it. He thought that she will spend her days while being his wife inside their home, since she originally wasn't from here and basically she is an outsider when it comes to blood.

Knowing how Sakura probably made some bonds in his clan, makes him sigh with relief. He's glad that he needn't to worry about her getting mistreated because of discrimination. He knew that they held festivities during their union but he also knew how prideful an Uchiha can be, a lingering thought of how they never even cared about her crossed his mind.

He rounded a corner and what greeted him made him halt in his tracks. There she is, his wife, smiling and laughing in her light green yukata while playing with a dozen of little Uchiha kids. She is in the middle of the street, just in front of the clinic. Pride swells yet again in his chest with the thought of her helping in the clinic, helping his clansmen.

Everyone around her appears to be entranced by her, adoration shines through their onyx eyes fixed on her smiling form. He on the other hand is battling his own dilemma on why he avoided her like the plague in the past. He always knows that it was for the best, he has a clan to lead, he has battles to fight, enemies to kill. Love was never in his mind, he had love enough and had hurt enough. Love will always end with betrayal. Itachi had already taught him that in a hard way.

But, huh? He was just watching her, why would he think about love? They got married in the middle of war, and it was for the sake of war, love never existed in this union.

She has never left your side, my son. His mother's sweet voice echoes in every crevice of his mind. The way her eyes lingers at you, I will always see my and Fugaku's younger selves.

Had he been blind? Does love exist whenever she will sit by his side? Oh, he certainly has been blind by it all, his mind was always clouded with strategies that he failed to see the beauty of having someone by his side.

This woman is a personification of spring in this war ridden world.

His heart stutters when his wife turns around from his view. She's holding a kid no more than 3 years old, his tufts of hair are as dark as midnight sky, he snuggles and clearly comfortable in Sakura's arms. His eyes fall on the uchiwa crests emblazoned on their clothings and his heart beats uncontrollably at the sight.

Maybe…

"Oh, Sasuke-kun!" she waves her free hand high at him, her face breaks in a breathtaking smile that leaves him unable to tear his gaze away from her.

Maybe, he would let love in his life one more time. Love that he hasn't known since his brother betrayed him and their clan.

Maybe, love can bloom in the middle of a war ridden world.

Maybe, he can let himself love.

Idk if I've shared her here but this is my Star Wars OC:

Her name is Grim Kennet and she's a Jedi Padawan during The Clone Wars. Specifically she's Obi-Wan's Padawan. But here's the fun part! Grim isn't from Star Wars, she's actually from our universe and ended up in the Star Wars universe.

She makes it her goal to stop Order 66, prevent Anakin's fall to Vader, and save the Jedi Order. Although ultimately she fails and the story goes as it does in canon.

She has a close bond with Obi-Wan seeing him as a father figure. She also grows to see Anakin as an older brother which causes her to have a lot of mixed feelings about him knowing who he will become. She also ends up having a crush on Anakin's Padawan Ahsoka. Grim and Ahsoka end up dating for about a year and a half before Ahsoka ends up leaving the Jedi Order so the two of them break up because as much as Grim loves her she puts her duty above her feelings. And her duty is to the Jedi Order. To save them. And she can't let her love for Ahsoka become an attachment.

Along with her friendships and the love she finds. Grim also becomes an enemy to Darth Sidious. As she knows the truth about him and works to expose it. Although she never succeeds at this. (This is also how she got that scar on her face she got into a fight with Sidious!)

Despite her failure to change the ending because Grim has grown so much and learned a lot in just three years she still gets knighted by Yoda after the events of Revenge Of The Sith. After all she would have to discard her Padawan braid in any case, and the honor of being a Knight even if she can't show it means enough to all of them.

(Grim lost her arm to Anakin during her fight on Mustafar, that's why she has a metal arm in the above image)

Grim spends 3 years hiding with Obi-Wan on Tatooine under the alias of Rue Kenobi. Her cover story is that she is Ben's (Obi-Wan's) daughter. I still don't know much about what happens during these three years. What I do know is that Rue never tells Ben the truth about Anakin surviving their battle on Mustafar and that when she eventually leaves she doesn't say goodbye. She only leaves a note to explain why she is gone.

Although she told Obi-Wan she left to join the Rebellion and that had been her intent Grim spends another year in hiding by herself. I don't know anything about this year in hiding other than what she looks like (shown in the image above), she wears that mask to cover the scar on her face knowing it could easily be used to identify her and that she still goes by Rue Kenobi. Despite it being dangerous to continue to use Kenobi as her last name. (She's not ready to let go of Obi-Wan yet, but she won't admit it.) After this year in hiding however Grim does eventually join the Rebellion.

In the Rebellion Grim goes under the code name The Oracle and uses her knowledge of Star Wars canon to help undermine the Empire especially regarding their secret projects. Her biggest target is the Death Star. Although she is unable to prevent the Death Star's completion. Grim prefers to work alone during the Rebellion as she doesn't want to risk anybody else. She's aware of her history with both Vader and Sidious and worries that if anyone is connected to her that the Empire will use them against her. She doesn't want anyone else to get hurt because of her. She already feels as though she failed the galaxy.

When the events of A New Hope finally roll around Grim decides to take a bigger role in the larger Rebellion. She also takes Luke as her Padawan and trains him in the ways of the Jedi. Eventually Knighting him after the events of Return Of The Jedi. She spends the rest of her life as a Jedi Master working to rebuild the Jedi Order and train the next generation of Jedi.

Sorry for this being so long I've had this character for 3 years and she's always on my mind 😅.

Sonic the Hedgehog Analyzer, Issue #8: Silent Support

Welcome to the last Issue of this Arc, where we can already see from the cover that this one is going to be quite interesting.

It starts out with Sonic running through another of Eggman’s bases and smashing several Badniks, all while being observed by someone who also helps him out with going through the building. However, before we learn who this “Silent Support” is, we encounter another familiar character.

It’s Silver the Hedgehog, and I guess you have all probably guessed that Silver is among the cast of my favorite characters. You’re right, but Silver is actually in the top group, right behind Shadow. I loved him in Archie!Sonic and I love him IDW!Sonic. He’s such a sweet dork here. X3

As Sonic and Silver are about to get attacked by another Badnik, when the robot suddenly gets shot by a blast energy, leading to my heart melting at Silver’s excited expression as he tells Sonic about the Guardian Angel. Apparently, Silver had been saved several times by this person.

Sonic figures that Silver is a fanboy, but Silver remains oblivious to Sonic’s teasing, noting how the future is a wasteland devoid of anything... aside metallic plant life. It’s some really clever foreshadowing here, using Silver to tell us that there is something wrong and that Neo Metal Sonic might not be the only problem.

As Sonic and Silver continue on their way, discussing the situation, they find the Guardian Angel - Whisper the Wolf - trying to break a door using her Wispon. I noted it during Tangle’s introduction, but I’ll add it here as well: Whisper, along with Tangle, is one of the only IDW!Sonic characters who had the honor to appear in a video game, namely Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

I also really like Whisper’s design. Speaking of which, Whisper gets scared by Silver, hiding from him and Sonic. Silver is a little dejected, noting how he’s a big fan, but Sonic figures that Whisper just prefers to work solo and not be part of a crowd.

Sonic does ask her for help, with Whisper’s Wisp friends surrounding Sonic as he explains that he helped them out before, which earns Whisper’s trust.

After Silver lifts the door with his psychokinesis, they’re immediately confronted by more Badniks, leading to another awesome battle, with a special shout-out to the combo down below:

While Silver and Sonic are smashing the Badniks, Whisper gets trapped under some rubble, but her Wisps are ready to protect her. Fortunately, Silver helps her, with Sonic finishing off the biggest Badnik.

As for Silver, he is just happy to be able to work with Whisper, even if she’d rather be alone... However, he does point out that she already has her own team, having the Wisps who are more than willing to help her.

As Whisper gets up, she prepares to smash Eggman’s computer with a rather determined look on her expression, the kind we certainly didn’t expect from her. Sonic stops her, telling her they can continue tearing the place apart, but they need to extract the information they need to figure out Neo Metal’s plan. Whisper stops, but not without appearing to be quite troubled.

As for Neo Metal’s plan?

Before we can get the big reveal, we shift to Knuckles and Amy, with Knuckles sensing something being wrong with the Master Emerald. They’re called by Sonic and Silver, who tell the two to call everyone else.

We then shift focus to Neo Metal Sonic, who has not only taken over Angel Island, blocking it from the rest of the world, but also made himself a throne on the top of the Master Emerald.

Yeah, this is bad.

Amber: My little fire bunny, I love her so much. She’s always so bubbly and capable. My go to archer. My SO bought me a copy of her Baron Bunny, best Christmas gift ever!

Barbara: I want to adopt her. I know a lot of people find her annoying, but I just can’t, she’s too adorable! She just wants to make everybody feel better with her singing. My #1 healer!

Bennet: My son! My poor, unlucky son. I hate that he has trouble forming an adventuring team because of his bad luck, and it always makes me so happy to see him with his friends during events.

Cyno: He is my biggest favorite out of all of these characters. I love how he’s serious and stoic right up until he starts relaxing and begins cracking silly jokes. Some of them are hit-and-miss, but others are genuinely funny to me. I love how protective he is, even with the criminals he’s dealing with - if they are in his care, then no harm will come to them until he can hand them over to the Akademiya (and after that it’s no longer his problem 🤷‍♀️). And I love how nerdy and absolutely obsessed he is with the in-game card game.

I still need to get him to lvl 90 so he can replace Keqing as my electro character. And then Keqing can get a much needed break.

Diluc: He falls into two of my favorite character tropes - red hair, and fire powers. I’m weak. ‘Course it doesn’t help that he’s an honorable, hardworking, eloquent, rich boy who seems so incredibly lonely, even when he’s surrounded by people.

Gorou: Puppy! Puppy-puppy-puppy-puppy! He’s so cute, and I love how he has a huge sweet tooth! I bet he’d be nice to cuddle. Can I adopt him? Please? 🥺

Itto: Bestest and tallest oni! I love how carefree he is, he’s such a child at heart. Also, he’s hilarious! I love listening to him speak, his voice actor does an amazing job.

Kaeya: I love-hate him. I never forgave the smug-ass bastard for lying about giving me a new weapon if I found some smugglers for him. But damn he’s smooth and so pretty. And such a tease, argh! 😩

Kaveh: He has a heart of gold, giving all of his money to people in need (and subsequently falling for a lot of scams…) I want to hug him so badly, especially after the end of the ‘Parade of Providence’ event T^T I need more canon content with him, he seems like such a creative and pleasant person to be around!

Lisa: She reminds me so much of myself IRL, lazy and turning everything into an innuendo 🤣 We also look somewhat similar; tall with long, brown, wavy hair. Can I be a librarian witch, too?

Razor: Another son, little wolf boy, I love him so much T_T Please never grow up and learn how to speak properly.

Thoma: He seems like he’d be such a good friend, the kind to instantly notice if something is wrong and ask what he can do to make it better. But I can’t help but wonder how many people do the same for him… Also, he’s an animal lover, so that’s a huge bonus.

Tighnari: I want to pull his ears so badly! Not hard or anything, but I wanna see how flexible they are. Also, catch me calling him ‘ya big Valuka’ every time he does something I don’t agree with. I wanna run a plant nursery with him.

(To be completely honest, I kinda disliked Tighnari before I really got to know his character. I tested him when he was released and found his voice lines so boring. ‘One with the forest! Let’s nip it in the bud! I hear EVERYTHING!’ Big whoop. The thing is that the voice lines he uses in combat do not portray his delightful snarkiness, I had to wait for that until I progressed enough in the story for him to appear. Then he was added to my ever-growing pile of faves)

Xiangling: Yet another adoptee. I love her battle quotes about how she wants to eat the monsters and her ‘Ow! My dinner is attacking me!!’ And her summon is too cute! Just… please don’t make me eat her experimental dishes T_T
