I didn't post this here already, right? I'm posting it now that I'm returning to tumblr, because I see it has a lot of cool new feautures that let me hide this behind a +18 wall. Possibly the most n/s/f/w thing I've ever drawn. Soft omega Mira in a family composed entirely of alphas, happy to receive her new mate mark after a dear family member came back after years of being gone.

Are you sick of me yet, Tumblr? Here's my argument that Isabela Madrigal doesn't wear panties. Also, her dress is see-through. Here's her butt xD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If she does wear underwear, it's not like the ones the rest of the women wear lol Life's all about the little acts of rebellion.

A spin-off AU of my Encanto/Metal Family crossover AU where Ches and Mirabel meet each other in a dream, when Mirabel is, like, three or something, and Ches is a late teen, and Ches has the ability to communicate with her throughout her life, and see her entire story play out- right up until Casita falls apart- via his dreams up until Mirabel gets adopted by Glam and Victoria and they meet in person for the first time.
Basically, he's there, in her dreams, throughout her entire life and becomes an uncle figure to her.
ANTIS DNI, THIS AU AND POST ABOUT IT ARE NOT FOR YOU.

A Place of Wonder (for all)
The Encanto is a place of wonder. For all. Period. Full stop.
Alma Madrigal won’t tolerate any less.
Alma is awoken by an abrupt banging coming from the front of her house. She shoots up, looking around the room blearily. It’s pitch dark out, the only source of light she can see coming from the miracle candle and the church. Someone was knocking on the door. She slipped her feet into the slippers Casita had waiting and picked up her shawl.
“Casita, who is it?” Alma inquired through a yawn. Casita rattled back that it was the priest, the Gonzales father and son, and Simon Ágular.
Alma felt her eyebrows turn inward. It was an eclectic grouping, one where the only connections she can think of being the two teenage boys, Simon and José. They don’t live near one another, nor near the church, so it’s unlikely all of them just happened to be coming to tell her about the same emergency in a neighborhood. What they could need her for otherwise at this time of night she can hardly imagine.
As she descends the stairs, the banging at the door gets louder and she sends up a quick thanks to Pedro that Casita can selectively soundproof the childrens rooms. They were only seven and if she didn’t need to involve them in this, then she certainly wouldn’t.
She draws her shawl closer to her chest and sucks in a deep breath. She puts on what she hopes is a face of confidence. Which is immediately lost as she opens the door and takes in her night time visitors.
“Hol-AHH, Simon your face!” The fifteen year old is clutching his face with both hands, blood pouring through the cracks in his fingers and coating everywhere else Alma could see. He had a cut right above his left eye and a broken nose. She held up a finger to signal wait and went to run back inside for an emergency healing candy courtesy of Julieta.
Before she could move to do so, Manuel Gonzales shouted out. “ALMA, Stop! This maricón deserves everything that’s been done to him.” He shakes Simons sleeve as he says it and it’s then Alma noticed the vice grips he has on Simon’s collar and Jose’s wrist. Alma had turned halfway and feels ice shoot down her spine. She stops cold.
No.
Not here.
Not now.
Not again.
She won’t let this happen in the Encanto.
With venom in her voice, she calmly says, “Release your grip on those boys and explain.”
Manuel goes on to tell her how he’d gotten up for a glass of water and noticed he couldn’t hear José snoring. When he wasn’t in bed, he went to look for him and found his son behind the bakery with Simon in the middle of an… intimate act. Manuel had started to beat them both, with Simon taking the brunt of it, when the Priest heard the commotion. He’d insisted that violence wasn’t for Manuel to decide upon and that they take this to Alma’s attention.
Alma is grateful that he did. From the state of Simon, Manuel would’ve killed him. From the hate in his eyes and in his words, he would’ve killed them both if given the chance.
Alma gives the man a decisive nod. “I see.” She turns to the Priest, “Padre, Manuel, may I speak with you a moment? Niños, go grab yourselves healing candies from the jar in the kitchen. Casita will show you.” Her tone didn’t leave room for questions.
At the permission to leave, the two teenagers practically sprint their way toward the kitchen, though she notes a limp in Jose’s step.
She turns back to the men before her. Alma is… terrified right now. But she knows she needs to do this. For Simon, for Jose, for herself, and for anyone else in the Encanto that may be like them.
_______
Alma is sixteen years old. She and her best friend Pilar spend almost all their time together.
They’ve been friends since they were eleven and Alma just thinks that Pilar is everything she wishes she was.
Recently, all of their conversations have turned to boys and kissing. Neither have gotten their first kiss yet, but are hoping to be courted soon.
Mostly though, Alma just wants to get her first kiss over with. After all, what if she’s terrible? Shouldn’t she, like, practice?
That idea had been ruminating in her head for months now. That if she could just practice kissing with someone she trusts, it wouldn’t be so scary, and maybe she would even have the courage to talk to some boys .
Except, the problem is there, that I don’t have any boys that I even talk to let alone TRUST enough to be my first kiss. It’d be so much easier if I could just kiss Pilar.
Alma feels electricity race down her skin.
Wait a minute. Why don’t I just kiss Pilar? It’s not like it’d have to mean anything, neither of us are like that, but we could get things out of the way, give one another tips! Yea, I could, I could kiss Pilar!
Once the idea is in her head, she can’t get it out. It’s all she thinks about now every time she’s with Pilar. She can’t help it. Pilar is just so cool and petite and pretty and her hair is so nice and she’s so funny and anyone would be lucky to kiss her. Her lips look so soft.
She can actually feel her heartbeat pound in her throat the day she decides she’s going to say something— for real this time.
“Hey, um, Pilar?” Pilar looks over at her and Alma can feel her knees go weak at her rich chocolate eyes.
“Yea?”
“Do you, um, maybe want to practice kissing? Like, with eachother” Pilar’s eyes widen in shock, disgust? Alma cringes back at the thought and starts trying to backtrack, talking as fast as her mouth will move.
“JusttogetitoveriwthImean, itdoesn’thavetomeananythingandthenwedknowwhattodoandifyoudontwanttooforgetIsaidanythingand—“ Alma was cut off by lips crashing into her own.
Oh.
OH.
I am like that.
She freezes, her face scrunched up in shock. Pilar pulls back after a beat, shame on her face. “Alma, I’m so sorry, I—“
Of their own accord, Alma’s hands come to cup the sides of Pilar’s face, dragging her lips back to her own.
_______
They continue on like that for a while, a few months of happiness, but also a lot of stress, in a young secret romance.
But like all good things in her life, it had to come to an end.
Pilar’s mother came home early from her errands. She caught them in her room kissing. Pilar shoved Alma off and called her a tortillera.
When Alma’s tía, her only family left at that point, heard what happened, she said she’d kill Alma herself if she saw her again. Pilar blamed it all on Alma, said that she’d forced herself on her and that Pilar had been trying to fight back. Alma got the shit kicked out of her by her own blood. She was given ten minutes to pack a bag and said if she was still in the house her aunt was getting the gun.
So she ran.
She ran until her feet were bloody and her clothing falling apart, ran until she had put that whole town, put that heartbreak, put those people she never wanted to think about again behind her.
Except here was a boy almost exactly like her.
Being punished for the way that he loves.
She’s fairly certain the Padre will be on her side. His teachings all have to do with loving your neighbors and helping one another. She can’t imagine he’d condone what Manuel is. It’s the only reason she’s able to get these words out.
“Perdóname Manuel, but I believe there’s been some kind of misunderstanding.” She steps out the door of Casita and shuts it behind her, placing a firm barricade and sturdy defender between him and the boys.
Her looks at her with clear shock and disgust on her face. “Oh, Alma, don’t tell me you sympathize with those freaks? Padre, back me up here!”
The priests eyes dart between the two. “Lo siento, but Alma is right. It is not up to us to judge. That is God’s job, and he loves us all.”
She draws her shoulders up in indignation. “And for the record, those freaks have more love in their hearts than you will ever possess. If this is how you are going to behave, then I do not think it unfair to ask you leave my Encanto.”
Manuel’s jaw drops. “You can’t be serious? You’re kicking me out? For some mamóns?”
Alma can’t contain herself. She rears back her leg and knees him in the crotch.
Manuel crumples. She leans into his face. “Sí, I am. Now you have two days to get yourself sorted and leave. Otherwise, well…” Alma lowers her voice to a whisper. “not many people know this but Julieta can do more than heal.” She releases his shoulder and let’s him go the rest of the way to the ground.
The Padre offers her a blessing after she reassured him that she’ll look after José and Simon tonight.
After all, this is an Encanto, and they have to look out for one another

this is something about spreen and missa cubito
Do you know why Missa didn't believe Roier when he told that Spreen killed her cat? Do you know why he told him that there had to be an explanation? Even mentioning that maybe it wasn't spreen that maybe it was like quackity and "Elquackity" All of that is because Spreen is his older brother who protected him from everything, a person like that wouldn't hurt him, right?
Although at the beginning they were not on the same team and Spreen saw Missa as a person to use, Missa always idolized him, Then to Missa's surprise Spreen adopted him as his brother, he did not say it out loud but basically with his actions he let it be known that he would protect him with his life. If Missa screamed, Spreen was already at his side killing whatever was hurting his brother. Spreen would put himself on the brink of death just so Missa wouldn't lose a life, he would kill anyone for Missa. Spreen is and was Missa's hero.
Missa knows that Spreen is violent but he would never expect that violence to be directed at him. Missa has never been against spreen even when he threatened and hit Chayanne, hitting her own son Missa only yelled at him and told him to stop, he didn't hit, he only received the hits. while he was trying to get his brother to come to his senses and remember that were brothers and brothers don't hurt each other. they don't hurt each other, right?.
But spreen only care about missa physically, he doesn't mind hurting missa emotionally. He doesn't think it's important, he doesn't think it's that serious, in the "Minecraft extremo" everyone killed each other and there were no emotions, Spreen never stopped being in survival mode and this is a truth that missa will never be able to accept.
When Missa found out that spreen died he said "spreen mi edificio" It's a joke we have in Latinoamérica about telling a CC "mi casita" to say that it is your safe place. Spreen is Missa safe place. No matter what he does, Spreen will never be a bad person to Missa, no matter what happens Spreen is his older brother who protected him against everything.

I got my niece some Encanto stuff for her birthday and one of them was a book with brief character bios that came with a bunch of small figures. The bio for Bruno, interestingly enough, says he was the “star” of the family once — it kinda makes him sound like a parallel to Isa instead of Mirabel
That’s a pretty cool idea, actually, and does kinda make sense — iirc the directors said Alma would depend on Bruno’s gift a lot because of the unpredictable trauma of losing Pedro. While his gift is overall different from Isa’s, it makes sense Alma would cling to their gifts the most and make them out to be Golden Children — Julieta’s gift is the most dependable so it’s easy to see it being taken for granted/her being way overworked like Luisa, and while Pepa’s gift is the most similar to Isa’s of the triplets (controlling the weather and therefore affecting the crops/growing and to a degree controlling plants themselves), Pepa has less control over her gift. Shoot, when you compare the way Alma talks to Pepa and the way she talks to Mirabel, it’s pretty similar (criticism, reprimanding, frustration)
Bruno’s gift theoretically offers a chance to prepare for/change the future while Isa’s gift is on the surface level so benign is can only mean stability — you don’t need flowers to fight a war, so if you’re given the ability to grow a bunch of flowers you probably don’t have to worry about losing everything and dying. You Can Keep Yourself Safe vs You Are Safe
The difference I guess is Julieta isn’t currently going through major burnout and ending overwhelmed with the need to protect her community and family, while Pepa isn’t afraid to snap back a bit (the advantage of age, having a solid support system in their loving spouses, having to cope with basically losing their brother, and growing up before Alma worried about losing their miracle might’ve contributed to them having a slightly better handle on their mental health and self worth)
Bruno, going off this random page in this random book for small kids, could be a dark-end parallel to Isa — someone who spent years of their life trying to do everything Alma and the town asked for to their own detriment. I can also remember a couple occasions where their body language also notably changes around/when thinking about Alma — Bruno shrinks down when he thinks about her, Isa straightened her posture, both looked apprehensive. Isa was going to waste her life marrying and having babies with a man she didn’t love and Bruno literally lost ten years of his life in the walls of Casita. The difference is Bruno’s once-praised gift eventually turned to something hated and he turned from the golden child to scapegoat, while Isa’s gift is largely unexplored by her to keep it palatable to help her avoid losing the golden child status
Or something idk y’all I’ve been babysitting all week and I’m Tired

It seemed as though the house was still falling. Bits and pieces of rubble still were; shingles clattered to the ground, and dust filled the air, so that Pepa could barely see.
The house had fallen with such a terrible noise that as it faded away the silence itself was tremendous; she felt deaf. Julieta's voice, calling for Mirabel, seemed inordinately loud.
Calling for Mirabel. Calling for her daughter.
The sky was bright blue as Pepa whirled around in panic, frantically trying to ensure she saw all of her family members, that every one of them was safe and whole.
Félix, still carrying Antonio in a bear hug, showing no intention of putting him down anytime soon.
Mamá, leaning on Luisa, staring at the ruins of Casita, looking older than Pepa had ever seen her.
Camilo, fidgeting and twitching uncomfortably, beside Dolores, who was tapping her ears and looking around nearly as worriedly as Pepa herself.
Agustín comforting Isabela, who looked shattered.
All alive. All unharmed. Gracias a Dios. All eleven of them, safe and sound-
Eleven. She winced away from the thought, even now-
A glimpse of movement, something moving near the edge of the rubble, cautiously slipping from rock to rock-
Mirabel?
But Julieta had stopped calling, so surely she must have found her daughter-
The figure was too tall, too lanky, and was clad in green.
Her heart seemed to stop. She knew that shade of green. She knew that ruana. She knew that man's movements as he stumbled, and then ran, towards the trees. He was as familiar to her as Julieta was; she knew him as well as she knew herself. She'd know him anywhere.
The sun shone bright and hot above her as she ran in his direction as fast as she could, shouting, "Julieta! Come quick! Julieta!" He was here, he was back, they had to go to him, he'd come back just in time-
But by the time Pepa reached the spot where she'd seen him, he was gone.

Do you know how popular headcanon about Luisa being a sweetheart who'd never hurt a fly?
I mean, I don't think that Luisa is violent type, but if you think for a moment..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She's the only Madrigal who used a physical violence in the movie intentionally in order protect Mirabel. While it most likely happens in imagination, Luisa still kills Cerberus during surface pressure. And Cerberus is one out of three characters who died in the movie (Two if concidered that Casita came back to life)
She also doesn't seem reluctant, she actually acts pretty determined, like grabs the weapon herself and doesn't hestitate to attack back.
And the song makes a huge focus on Luisa's protectiveness toward Mirabel. It seems to be pretty big part of her personality.
So, yes, I feel that Luisa will fight to keep her family safe. I doubt she'd want to tho, she doesn't seem like she's having fun in the scene. (But we talk about what she will do, not what she wanted to do)

Luisa: It's quite dangerous here. *scoops Mirabel up into her arms* There. That should keep you safe, hermanita. I'll protect you.
Mirabel: Thank you, Lu.
Isabela: Okay. First of all, we’re in Casita
Mirabel: Exactly.
Isabela: No, not “exactly”, this is our house—
Luisa: She almost died in Casita, Bela.
Isabela:
Isabela: Second, where the fuck is my protection?
Mirabel: You are more than capable of defending yourself and I’m pretty sure God fears you, Isa.
Luisa, at the same time: You’re not the favourite

Little furry friend (Bruno x F!Reader) part 2
Tumblr media
For @hectic-hector (ily 💕)
Part 1
-----------------
"Julieta!! Do something about your sister!!"
The healer sighed and rolled her eyes fondly before turning to see Pepa effortlessly carrying Bruno into the kitchen. She knew that her brother justified that with the weight loss he had while living in the walls, but the three of them knew that Pepa had always had incredible strength and that she could lift both of them on each arm without breaking a sweat.
"Julieta!! Tell your brother to stop being a crybaby!!"
"I'm not a crybaby!"
"Yes you are!"
"Julieta!!"
"Okay, that's enough" the older one said, trying not to laugh at Bruno's pout when Pepa sat him down in a chair "what's going on?"
"Your sister is a nightmare"
"Your brother is an airhead"
"...okay, something else I don't already know?"
"HEY!!"
Julieta laughed at her siblings’ expressions and rolled her eyes again. Sometimes it was exhausting mediating their fights, but she truly loved them with all of her being and wouldn't have them any other way, no matter how many gray hairs they gave her in a day (definitely more than the six grandchildren combined).
"And you're supposed to be the good triplet?" Pepa crossed her arms with a pout.
"I always said that we should be careful with her, she has a mischievous glint in her eyes" Bruno whispered to the redhead
"So it's against me now?" the older one said, putting her hands on her hips "two seconds ago you were arguing for god knows what"
"oh yeah! You're right"
"Oh no, did you have to remind her?"
Bruno growled when a rainbow invaded the kitchen and Pepa got a little closer to her older sister, taking her by the hand like an excited child. It was always funny how Pepa could change her mood so quickly, especially when she was with her siblings, when she felt safe from being judged. But it wasn't as funny when he was the victim of her plans.
"Let's invite Y/N to dinner!"
"What?"
"We are NOT going to invite her to dinner, Pepa!"
"Why not? You already spend all day with her anyway, Bruno"
"It's different!"
"Why?!"
"Because you are not there to try anything"
"Excuse me?!" the redhead thundered "well sorry but someone has to take the next step if you're not going to do it yourself"
"There is no next step, Pepa, we are just friends!"
Julieta sighed again and pinched the bridge of her nose as her siblings returned to a heated discussion that must have started long before they entered the kitchen. She could understand Bruno's anger or concern, and would usually agree with him that things should happen on their own.
The thing was, this time, she was on Pepa's side. It had been months since you showed up at the house with Bruno's rat in your hand and the whole family had been surprised at how well you got along with him. She had to admit that like her sister, she felt quite betrayed that he hadn't told them about you sooner, but she understood that he had a right to his privacy as well.
And if she was honest with herself, she was relieved at how well you treated her little brother. It wasn't common for townspeople to associate with him of their own free will, even after the candle fiasco, but you didn't seem to have any problem, you were kind to him, you treated him as an equal, and you were even one of the few people he felt comfortable enough about physical contact with.
Of course, the nervous mess he was when you were around him, or the blush that would always come over his face when you smiled at him, or the goofy smile he had all the time when you talked to him, didn't go unnoticed either. Dolores even confirmed that his heart raced every time he saw you or someone said your name. It was obvious to everyone that Bruno Madrigal was completely in love with Y/N Y/L/N, and would be cute, if it wasn't for him refusing to do anything about it.
Her brother was already exhausting the family's patience and even Casita had tried to intervene (which is why Bruno chose to go to your house instead of having you visit them). Julieta was really beginning to consider that they would have to take that step for him.
She snapped out of her thoughts when Pepa's thunder began to get louder. The kitchen began to be filled with black clouds and if she didn’t intervene soon, all her effort would be wasted due to the rain. However, she did not have time to do something when you popped your head through the window, with a small rat on your shoulder.
"Hi Juli!" You said, always smiling "What are you doing?"
Months ago, it would not even have occurred to you to be so open with her, but after the kind reception that the whole family had made, you could not help but feeling comfortable and happy every time you approached Casita.
"These two, always fighting" she returned the smile
"For the last arepa again?"
"No" she laughed, remembering the time Pepa almost threw a knife to Bruno when he took the last arepa, although she quickly calmed down when she saw that he had taken it for you "for something that Pepa wants Bruno to do"
"Ohhhh" you said, with curiosity in your eyes "What thing?"
She was about to answer when Antonio suddenly entered the kitchen. The boy smiled widely as soon as he saw you and ran to greet you. After Bruno, Madrigal's youngest son was the one who more time spent with you.
"Hello Y/N!"
"Hey Buddy!" You answered "Long time no seeing you"
"Yes, you didn't come for three days!" he pouted
"I'm sorry, I had things to do in the carpentry" you apologized
You did not even notice that the black clouds had disappeared, or that the Madrigal triplets were looking at you with curiosity, kindness and nervousness.
"It's okay" Antonio smiled at you "is just that the animals began to ask me where Uncle Bruno's girlfriend was" he shrugged
You felt your cheeks turning red, and you quickly looked where the seer was, a few steps behind his nephew. He did not look better than you, on the contrary, he looked pale and two seconds of fainting, while his sisters smirked and tried to hide their laughs behind their hands, although the rainbow that filled the room betrayed the redhead.
If you were honest, the idea itself was not bad. Actually, you had long accepted your feelings for the younger triplet, even if you didn’t plan to do something about it because you did not think the man returned your feelings. But now, seeing him so red and nervous, you committed to question it.
"S-she’s not my g-girlfriend" Bruno stuttered, resisting the impulse to hide with the hood of his Ruana
"She's not?" Antonio asked innocently
"No, I'm not" you replied
For a moment that seemed frozen in time, you could feel the eyes of the three adults on you, Pepa seemed disappointed, Julieta contained her breath and Bruno looked really defeated. That was what made you take a risk.
"Toñito, your uncle and I share Sebastián, remember?" you said gently
"Yeah?"
"That means we have a child together" you smiled with malice when you heard the triplets gasps "I am not his girlfriend, I am his wife"
"W-what?!"
Pepa and Julieta laughed at their brother's complete shock, and you couldn't help noticing how adorable it was. But then, as if he was a statue, he fell backwards, harshly hitting against the ground.
".... ooops" you said.

After a while of dating Mirabel discovers Isabela has a degradation kink and begins to abuse this knowledge by bullying her sister in public. Isa learns Mirabel has a praise kink and also abuses this and unlike Mirabel can do it around family and not get in trouble since she's just being nice to her sister
Sjsjjdjdjedj I'm sorry I just love how Mira gets to be a little shit and be mean and Isabela is just "nice" in return - and by "nice" i mean "making her feel flustered and embarrassed in front of everyone as revenge for that time she whispered in her ear that she looked like a little puppy desperate for attention. Julieta thought that was weird and mean and scolded Mira quite a bit, but when Isabela goes and makes her feel embarrassed during a family dinner, no one says anything, or they'll even praise Isa over being so sweet uwu. Mira just never wins 😔😔😔

Bruna Madrigal 💚
1 - Bruna was the youngest triplet and the neediest of Almo's children. Sleepless nights and and constant carrying were from very beginning something that built strongest relationship between him and his daughter, besides, fear for her health made Almo devote most of his time to his little princess. 5 - She had a happy start of her childhood, playing with her brothers and other children from Encanto, although there weren't many of them at that time, were the staple of the day. Well, good days, because sometimes there were times when Almo wouldn't let her leave his sight. On her fifth birthday, Casita surprised them all with a magical door that, when opened, gave her the power to see the future. Oh and own room. 10 - So life turned upside down and the life of the entire village began to revolve even more around Madrigal family. Bruna was proud of her "important position in functioning of Encanto", but it's worth mentioning that these were times when her visions were relatively safe for eyes of a small child. And Almo controlled what appeared on the vision tiles all the time. On the other hand, Bruna was not happy about what happened to her brothers because it greatly limited their time to play. At least Juliano's food helped her health, right? 15-20 - Everything started to get darker, but Bruna knew how to control it, she had been trained to do so. Plus, she knew she didn't have to worry because no resident would do anything to her, even if the vision was v e r y bad. Sometimes she scared others with her visions, but basically didn't care about good of the whole society as much as good of her family, and this was the time when she started to notice her brothers' gifts harmed more than just "fun time". Bruna tried to help as much as she could because she knew that only she could influence certain things. 30-40 - Nobody wanted this help. Bruna felt that everything was getting out of control and her brothers did not want to understand there was another way. She saw that her father treated them badly, and, horror of all, he treated their children badly. HER nephews and niece, and yet they all lived as if they had to. As if this candle was a marker of the only goal in their lives. Bruna saw this hypocrisy, but she had impression that only a this miracle could lead to a real miracle and to everyone opening their eyes. This happened when her youngest nephew didn't get his gift. Bruna knew that something bad would happen eventually, but she couldn't understand why it all happened to a small, innocent child. No, she can't show her father the vision, she knows what he was capable of... 50 - She could never really leave, apart from fact that she wanted to make sure everyone would survive the Madrigal family's regime, her nephew knew everything and she knew he would tell. At least he agreed to help her so life wasn't limited to the walls that were the first idea - Casita at least tried. Although it hurt how everyone was able to forget and create a taboo out of her name, could everyone in this family really end up like that? Well, better her than the five-year-old child she loved. So ironically everything ended well because of this kid. Like, it's not over yet because there's still a lot of family healing ahead of them, but this time everyone wants it. The future is bright for the first time in ten years.

Encanto Oc Appreciation week two! Relationships ✨️
@encanto-extended-edition
It's my beloved sunshine trio! I finally drew all of them together (took me long enough I know)
Some more of Armida's relationships summarized below the cut 💛
(I am so terribly bad at summaries Im so sorry- If I could write out the extent of all of their relationships I would- sadly I dont have the time..)
Alma: Her relationship with Alma pre movie is strained- mostly because she fears the older woman. Armida is riddled with anxiety and intrusive thoughts over what her mother in law may think of her, and often fears Alma thinks she got into the way of her daughter's relationship- or that she isn't a "real" madrigal. Basically.. it's a lot of assumptions on how Alma feels about her.. but they are not always truthful.
Armida also tends to disagree with Alma's ways. But between her being passive by nature and having a fear of speaking up, she never says anything. Rather she does her best to help by being there for other family members the best she can be.
Julieta: She was the first of the triplets that Armida became close to. Armida had visited her stand often, and at first Julieta thought the younger woman was accident prone like Agustín.. Over time it became clear that wasn't the case, but Armida was always super polite- despite lying about why she needed to be healed. She always made sure to thank Julieta - not just for healing her but for everything she does. After that it was surprisingly easy for the two of them to talk- and making friends with Julieta naturally got Armida talking to Bruno and Pepa. Although out of the triplets Armida is the least closest to Julieta now, she still feels incredibly safe with the woman. Armida is set trying to lessen Julietas work load. The only issue being- she really can't cook- all she can really do is help with preparation when needed. So instead she settles with going out to town when Julieta needs anything. It's not a lot, but it's something at the very least, and it's appreciated more than Armida will probably ever realize.
Bruno: While obviously Armida is closest with Pepa and Félix, she also shares a really close bond with Bruno. The both of them being pretty bad insomniacs, they bonded a lot over sleepless nights- She'd tell him about the stars if the sky was clear enough and he'd talk about his rat telenovelas or sometimes about his gift- and she'd comfort him. She's a fan of his telenovelas- she loves the rats, and he's actually a really good writer. She offers to help make small costumes and even jokes about background music for suspense. All and all their relationship is very cute- I like to say they are like platonic soulmates. Obviously after Bruno disappears and comes back things aren't the same.. while he was in the walls some nights she'd sit and talk with his door instead, not knowing he was actually listening. Things are a bit awkward when he comes back- Armida having a lot of feelings about him "leaving" when he hurt his family so badly, but in the end she understands his motivation.
Isabela: When Isabela was little, the girl loved getting her hands dirty. so naturally - Armida loved taking the girl out with her in her nature walks, because even at twenty seven she herself still loved to explore. It was something they bonded over, Dolores never really being as interested. But of course fell apart after Isa was pressured into being the golden child. Now they aren't nearly as close, but the both of them still remember digging for worms near Casita, or going looking for different types of plants in the jungle. Sometimes Isa still takes walks- taking the same paths they used to when she was little- when she knows no one is looking for her. It helps clear her head. Of course after the movie the two begin to grow close once more, Isa being quite excited to show off all the new plants to her supportive tía.
Dolores: I think the majority of the fandom has agreed that Dolores is a daddy's girl- and I completely agree. However she of course loves each of her parents. Mida specifically doted a lot on her when she was younger- having been their first child. She'd often sing to her- writing her own little songs for her daughter. After Dolores got her gift it was a nice thing for the young girl to focus on- her mother singing. Unfortunately getting her gift, like with many of the madrigals, forced Dolores to grow up too soon. She's often a bit protective over her mother, due to things she's heard over time. Armida mostly dislikes the fact that Dolores feels the need to protect her- as she should be the one protecting her.
Little bonus- Armida despises Mariano at first. She disliked him when he was with Isa, not because she knew Isa didn't actually want to marry him (though she has suspected maybe something was up, if she had known that straight up I don't imagine she'd be able to keep quiet about it.) She's- in general- overprotective when it comes to any of the kids dating. She does, however, come around to him.
Luisa: With Luisa there isn't too much to say. Like Pepa and Félix, Armida treats each of Julieta's girls like her own kids, and Luisa is no exception. She used to read or sing to her each night as a kid, as she did with all of them. Each grandkid grew up with at least one song or story before bed, and sometimes even as adults or teenagers they still request it. But as with most of the kids, as Luisa grew up she stopped having time for things like that. Still Armida is always ready to sing or read to her once again- no matter how old she is.
Camilo: Camilo and Armida have very similar senses of humor at times, which means they make for quite the pair. The two of them sometimes pull little pranks around the house, nothing too much of course- after all she's still his mother and won't let him get away with everything, but he still gets away with more with her then he does with Félix or Pepa. Though being fifteen he doesn't spend as much time with his mom as he did at one point in his life- he still won't deny he loves her very much.
Mirabel: Pre movie, Armida would try her best to make Mirabel feel just as special as the rest of the family, but being busy and slightly stressed she could only do so much for the girl. Still, she did what she could when she could. She started to teach Mirabel embroidery after her failed gift ceremony to try to distract the little girl and make her feel better, she didn't expect her to pick up on it- but she's very proud of how far she's come. She's quite proud of the young woman in general.
Antonio: the baby of the family, he is absolutely Armida’s weakness. She has the hardest time saying no to him, much like others in the family. The fact that he looks so much like Félix really does not help- luckily Pepa and Félix are a bit better with saying no to him. She worried a lot about him, and his gift. Part of her had hoped that maybe he wouldn't get a gift, since she's seen how sometimes the gifts the family have can really feel more like curses, and he's only five- but luckily he gets a gift he really enjoys, one that she herself had wished for a lot as a child, one that doesn't seem like it will put immense amount of pressure on her baby boy. She enjoys learning what some of his animal friends are thinking, and reading them all to bed. (Sometimes she spoils some of his animals.. she can't help it)

do you have encanto fic recs? every time I watch encanto I think about how much potential there is for fic but then I never actually read any...I figure that you might be able to give me a place to start if I ever decide to make the plunge! thanks
That insane cackling you heard in the distance was me upon reading this ask. Um. Yes. Yes I do have many encanto fic recs and I’m so glad you asked! I’m limiting myself to 10 of my all time favorites. Should you choose to delve in I’d be happy to rec more. I tried to do a smattering of the types of fics I like.
Note, Bruno is my favorite character and as such most of these are Bruno-centric or he plays a major role.
The Sandman by @cthene Rated G 30K Complete
Bruno explores his Gift.
Just trust me on this one. It’s fantastic. I’ve literally reread it 5 times. If Bruno as a time wizard plus a really great look at the relationship between him and Mirabel sounds like your cup of tea I cannot recommend this one enough.
Nos Sigue la Noche (The Night Follows Us) by Thornvale Rated T 36K Complete
Post canon, Mirabel can’t help but feel as though something is going to go wrong; mysterious Tío Bruno is behaving more strangely than usual and something about the magic seems to be changing. Not only that, but an old danger is lurking in the shadows of the mountains surrounding the Encanto.
As they learn to see by @cannibalthoughts Rated T 67K WIP
Four and a half years after hiding in the walls, Bruno has an accident bad enough for Casita to call for help, and the family’s problems stop being ignorable.
aka: Bruno slips and knocks over about a dozen family crises on his way down.
I adore everything about this fic. Cannibalthoughts writes Bruno’s internal headspace SO WELL it’s the perfect blend of humor and angst.
a hair on the head of john the baptist by icarusinthesand Rated T 4.5K Complete
Unsettled in the new Casita, Bruno goes to the usual place wayward prophets seeking solace go.
This one leans into the fact that they’re all Catholic and explores how Bruno feels about being a prophet. Also has a fantastic conversation between him and Mirabel. This one has my whole heart and I’ve reread it many times.
A Prophet In His Own Land by @madrigaljail Rated T 33K Complete
Part of the Madrigal In-Laws Verse that flushes out Felix and Agustin’s families. I highly recommend everything in this series but Prophet is my favorite.
Growing up in the close-knit community of the Encanto, Bruno Madrigal is many things to many people: a dutiful and difficult son, a loyal, irritating brother, a shining star, a lurking menace, a dear friend, a familiar mystery, and an object of scorn. Shouldering the burden of all these contradictory roles, he struggles to find his place in both the town and his family.
A Miracle Is Not Earned but Freely Given by @wildlyironicbee Rated T 57K Complete
A bit of an Anastasia/verrrrrrrrry loose beauty and the beast AU
I love this one SO MUCH Please read it it’s got amazing characterization and some really excellent angst and family bonding.
Mirabel grew up listening to the stories her Abuela would tell her about the Encanto and her family's magical house, Casita--and of how it was lost, her Abuelo and Tío sacrificing everything to keep them safe. When she's presented with an opportunity to finally see the ruins of the Encanto for herself, she leaps at the chance. But what--or who--she finds there will alter the lives of her family forever.
Stars Lost Down The River by @ramblesanddragons Rated T 87K Complete
A ‘what if Mirabel ran away after her ceremony, Bruno went after her, and they both got swept down the river and lost their memories’ AU it features them reuniting with the Madrigals and it is just absolutely excellent. Rambles has a lot of Encanto fics and I love all of them.
Bitter Blood by ashtreelane Rated G 19K Complete
Post-Canon. Bruno is only technically the youngest. Really, it's by fifteen minutes, but he is also the smallest, and prone to sickness. The fainting spells probably don't help the weakness his sisters see. Bruno is hypoglycemic, which is annoying, but not dangerous. It gets much worse when he enters the walls.
Excellent Madrigal kids stuff and excellent angst
Never Shall We Die by archive_rat Rated M 99K WIP
Young triplets pirate AU. Pirate queen Pepa, ship’s doctor Julieta, & navigator Bruno. Listen, come closer, have you ever read something that left you just sitting in awe and wonder, something that every time you reread it you pick up on something new because there is just SO MUCH amazing detail? Because this is that. I cannot sing this fic’s praises enough. Also if AU’s aren’t your thing go read archive-rat’s other Encanto fics set in canon verse (do that even if AUs are your thing) I was very tempted to rec them individually. Landscape with the Fall of Icarus and Axolotl are my favorites.
Just Your Ordinary, Everyday Miracle by @16magnolias Rated T 283K WIP
Bruno/Original Female Character post-canon fic that starts with the question of ‘where did Bruno get the horse?’ at the end of the movie.
A candle. A living house. Magical powers. A 15-year-old girl named Mirabel. Miracles can come in all shapes and sizes, and Bruno's latest miracle may just take the shape of a 41-year-old widow named Lucía and her daughter Josefina. And – uh – maybe also a horse.
This fic has my whole heart. Lucia is such a well written and flushed out character and Mags’ writing is so cozy and I love it so so so so so much. If Bruno/OFC sounds interesting definitely give this one a read.
(Obligatory plug for my own (with @optimistic-violinist) fic Take Back the Kingdom, a modern/fantasy AU where Bruno and the kids have to save their kingdom from an evil wizard with humor, hijinks, and angst galore)

Hi!
Do you mind doing a camlio x female reader one part imagine where camlio has a crush on the reader and doesn't know how to tell her? And then later, when the Casa Madrigal is falling apart and y/n and Mirabel are trying to get the candle, Camilo confesses his love?
Tysm ily!
(I'm so sorry for the long wait! :( And thank you, also you're welcome!)
Crush (Soft yandere Camilo x Fem! reader)
Tumblr media
(This gif is perfect for this oneshot lmao.)
Tw: Stalking, wholesome yandere, soft yandere, unhealthy obsession, yandere themes?
Camilo's crush on you had lasted for months, and you of course had no idea of it. Camilo had a strong urge to confess to you, but every time he built up courage to he always fell back to his anxious self. He just didn't know how to tell you. He hated how he didn't know how he should of, it made him feel like a coward.
It didn't help he had never done this either, yes, he always had been the romantiac type. But never actually had been involved with realtionships and confessions.
Mind you, you and Camilo were close friends. Even though you were you were you were his friend, it didn't make it any easier for him.
Even though both of you were friends he often stalked watched you just to satisfy his love for you. What was wrong with him? He thought to himself
Odd things had been happening in the Encanto lately, it was mainly Casita and the Madrigal family. There had been cracks spotted on the walls and floors, and some gifts were failing on certain family members.
But thats when Casita had decided to crumble.
You rushed up to the house, seeing dust leaking from parts of the house. You stared in worry for a momment before entering, running over to Camilo. "What's happening?!" You asked loudly but with worry, barley being heard over the rumbling of the house, and countless objects and picture frames falling to the ground. "C-casita, it's falling! M-Mirabel and Abuela started arguing and afterwards a giant crack appeared on the ground. And it only got worse from there!" Camilo explained. "What about the candle?" You said to him. "Not good, Mirabels attempting to get it in her hands now." You looked over to see Mirabel climbing up on railing, once part of casita.
"I'm going after it too."
"What?!" Camilo gasped, "but you can't!"
You then went to run, but Camilos hand stopped you, his hand wrapped around your shoulder. "What are you doing Camilo?" You asked slightly irritated at him stopping you. "No, I can't let you do this! I can't let you die (y/n!)" "I don't care if I die or not, I need to help Mirabel make sure that the candle is safe and not destroyed!" You said worryingly, determination also lacing your voice. "NO! I need to tell you something!" Camilo yelled, making you look at him straight in the eyes. "What then?!" You asked.
"I love you!"
Your pupils no longer dilated, but instead staring at Camilo in awe. His hand loosend around your arm as you turned to face him. "What?" You said, you mouth slightly gaped at the comment. "I love you." He said more gently. "Y-you love me?!" You said in disbelief, "Yes mi amor, I do." He said softly, well wholesomely smiling.
You then hugged him, tears slightly filling your eyes out of hapiness.
"I love you too Camilo."
(This wasn't really that yandere, but it was good to write something wholesome for once.)

Casita is a small charity in the Bay of Plenty, Aotearoa, who provides respite care focused on getting work experience and learning different skills, while providing a safe and supportive environment for disabled young adults + giving them a community.
They have more and more requests from young disabled people to join up, but with rough economic conditions and rising operational costs, they're currently struggling with funding, which is affecting their ability to provide opportunities + expand into other opportunities that youth working with them are interested in.
They're also got a FB page if you want to support them + give them some love!
