Dean had long lost track of the days, hours, minutes that had gone by while he was strung up on Alistair’s rack. The torture sessions bled together into one long continuous sensation of pain. Even when he ‘healed’ it hurt. It was maddening, and the fact that he’d started to black out during Alistair’s visits didn’t help. 

“You’re staring to look worn out there Winchester,” Alistair had remarked at one point, carving his face like a pumpkin. Dean couldn’t respond without his eyes or mouth, but that didn’t matter much to the demon. “At this rate, you won’t last another ten years. All you have to do is say yes boy, and it’ll all stop.”

He refused, giving a weak thrash. “Well, there’s always the spare I suppose..” Alistair muttered, voice fading as he presumably left.

That sentence fueled his resolve. He wouldn’t let them get Sam. They couldn’t have him, nobody could, not as long as he was conscious. 

“WINCHESTER!”

Right. Alistair was crucifying him currently. How long was he out? Even the demon seemed vaguely concerned. Dean glared at him, or at least, tried to. He couldn’t move. Come to think of it, he couldn’t feel anything either. From his current vantage point, it seemed like he was on the cross. But he couldn’t feel the nails. He couldn’t feel anything, not even pain! If he could’ve he’d have been grinning.

He was so happy he didn’t even notice his vision darkening of Alistair fleeing the scene.

Escaped clone au

You know all those fics where Danny and Damian are twins but everyone first assumes Danny must be a clone? How about an au where Danny is Damian's clone who escaped the League after he was assumed dead. Damian could even have been the one to have "killed" him, back when Danny was a newly created, fully brainwashed clone minion and trying to kill Damian himself.

Danny gets adopted by the Fentons and canon goes on as normal, until Dan. Witnessing what would happen to the world should he turn evil really drove home to Danny how dangerous he is.

Even if he was confident he could be trusted with his absurd amount of power (which he isn't), what if the League of Assassins found out about him? Does he still have programming triggers from his evil assassin clone conditioning?

So, Danny does the responsible thing: he goes to Batman to turn himself in.

Cue Danny showing up on Bruce's doorstep with ghost hunting equipment, intel on the afterlife, and an almost unbelievable backstory. Somehow he still managed to be more well-adjusted than Damian.

Here's how I'm thinking Danny leaving the League went down:

After surviving his wounds but failing his mission, Danny (then an unnamed potential Damian replacement) knew there was no point in returning to the League. As a failure, he was meant to be disposed of. He even thought of simply allowing himself to perish, since that was what the League would do.

But he couldn't help but feel as though that would be a waste of a resource. Surely he could be of more use to the League alive than dead?

That tiny bit of rebellious logic is what caused Danny to go into hiding, only living on based on the off chance he would find opportunities to further the League's goals. Obviously, that mentality didn't last long after being exposed to the real world and meeting one Jazz Fenton.

Being adopted by the Fentons was the best cover Danny could have asked for, since any odd behavior he couldn't hide while he was learning how to be "normal" was totally overshadowed by the sheer bizarre eccentricity of his new parents. He was still the neighborhood weird kid, but even that was a major upgrade from disposable tool, so Danny considered it a win.

this is like the tiniest moment in all of television that i am THRILLED exists, because it’s just so satisfying to see karl clocking gerri’s roman feelings and gerri oblivious to the fact that someone has noticed, and probably even to the fact that she’s doing anything that could be noticed, because she’s so nervous for roman up there trying to give his eulogy in a state of clear distress. gerri! gerri being that off her guard! gerri! and in relation to j. smith cameron’s recent comment about gerri not realizing how attached she was to roman or really comprehending her own feelings for him because she’s not a sentimental person ... aaaaaaah. aaaaahhh!

[ID: A colourless, digital Trigun comic of Vash and Wolfwood talking about Wolfwood's scars. They're both laying in bed and topless. Vash lays on top of Wolfwood, playing with the rosary around his neck. Then, Vash kisses a spot on Wolfwood's chest. Wolfwood asks, "What are you doing?" Vash smiles sadly, "You got shot here. In the last town we visited. You didn't even bother moving."

Vash props himself up over Wolfwood, who frowns slightly. Wolfwood is quiet for a moment before he says, "You remember that, huh?" Vash grabs Wolfwood's left wrist and brings it to his face. "And here." He kisses another spot there. "When you helped free the hostages from that robber..." Wolfwood dismissively says, looking away, "Was a lucky shot." Vash huffs, “Don’t brag. Jeez.”

Half of Wolfwood's expression is shown, eyes returning to Vash who is now sitting up, continuing to say, "And..." Vash goes on and kiss Wolfwood's right palm. "You got cut here, even though that girl was aiming at me." A moment from the past flashes, of Wolfwood grabbing a knife aimed at Vash, his hand bleeding.

At present, Vash moves down and puts another kiss on Wolfwood's right shoulder. "And here, from watching my back." Another memory flashes of Wolfwood and Vash back to back. Vash looks back as Wolfwood grins while holding Punisher, bleeding from multiple gunshots in his shoulder.

"And," Vash combs up Wolfwood's hair to reveal his forehead, "Here." A final memory shows Wolfwood with a regeneration vial in his mouth while getting shot on his temple. The next panel is framed in blood with Vash at the center, eyes wide and stunned in horror. The next panel is a closed up shot of Wolfwood's eye, locked on Vash's face.

Back to present, Vash’s head is bowed down as Wolfwood raises a hand to his nape and says, “Spikey.”

Wolfwood looks serious and frowns as he says, "We talked about this. Those were my decisions. They're not there anymore. Forget about them." Vash looks very sad before he smiles ruefully and says, "I still see them. All the time." He leans down so they touch foreheads. Wolfwood’s sorrowful expression can be seen as Vash says, "You protect so much. I could never forget what you've done to me. And many others..."

In the last image, they're drawn more cartoonishly. Wolfwood sweats and asks, "You don't actually remember every wound, right?" Vash points at a spot on his chest. "Kuroneko left a scratch here 7 times." Wolfwood, startled, says, "Why the hell are you keeping count—" End ID]

#vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #trigun #trigun maximum #another scars comic for one of the vw week days!!!! frankly i think about their scars WAY too often . most notably wolfwood's because #it really symbolizes a lot for him imo bc for vash it's a history of all the people that's ever harmed him betrayed him and the trust he has #given to humanity despite it all. its a beautiful reflection of his character and then u look at ww and presumably #since we dont really see him half naked Ever (shame) and i mean. i guess technically its a hc -- i assume he wouldn't have any scars bc #of the regen potions (which is why he doesnt have his t scars btw the regen pot took them away :pensive:) #in a way its like washing his hands of blood. giving him the body of someone who might never been involved in a fight never held a gun #but he knows thats not true yet he cant really do anything about it anyway bc he's still just human. if he stops taking the regen pots #he can't press forward. so its just a rinse and repeat and growing accustomed to whats inflicted on him because he knows it'll go away at #the end of the day. he's human but he's also not he's far beyond what could be considered a normal human but he still just is. #mortal but also not immortal. idk. i overthink about it a lot GMSKGMDK frankly i dont think it matters THAT much in the context of trimax #but it means a lot to me somehow. also thinking about how no matter how many times ww kills he's never numb to the sensation of it. maybe #the adrenaline gets to him for the beginning half but ive been rereading like.. vol 3? and that entire fight for ww #u can slowly see him spiral as he keeps on going on. anyway anyway. i love ww #ruporas art

#persona 3 #persona 3 spoilers #aigis #minato arisato #makoto yuki #nyx avatar #lizzy does art #a belated january 31st from me to you! i technically started this at the start of january but got a lil sidetracked teehee! but its done no #i am forever enamored with the fight with nyx avatar- not only is she gorgeous but the boss fight's design really sells the themes of p3 im #i still love how much the major arcana are intertwined with p3's story- from the full moon operations and the final fight #and the lengthiness of the fight. i personally don't consider it tedious bc i came Very Prepared (its the love for grinding in tartarus!)- #but i think that the length has always been a testament to the indomitable force that nyx and nyx avatar are- something that should be- #impossible to go against! yet sees continues to show their perseverance in the endeavor because that's the choice they ultimately made. #i hope to get the chance to draw nyx avatar again sometime! she is absolutely lovely to draw. i had a lot of fun working on this :D #and i also hope everyone has been enjoying the remake <3 i've been enjoying it a lot but i won't be elaborating here. take care!
