Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE how ever since they all found out that MC is human and was brought here against their will, it was Lucifer who kept insisting that they shouldn't be the ones to trap MC in the Devildom. That whether they want to stay or not is a decision MC has to make themself and that the brothers should support them no matter what they end up choosing

And now that the moment is finally here, now that MC has confirmed that they indeed plan on heading home, and now that all of his brothers agreed on helping them get back, having forged a pact and lending their powers to do so—

Now that he knows that he's the final piece needed to send them back; that the lingering idea of the yet to be forged pact between them is what's stopping MC from potentially leaving their side for good, leaving his side for good—

Now that they have finally gotten to this point, he realizes something. And he's unable to live with it

And so, he goes back on his word.

He's taking that choice from them.

"I don't want to."

Lucifer's pride is what keeps his voice leveled and neutral, as if it were just another day. As if he everything was completely fine. As if he didn't feel this pain in his heart, almost as if someone had rammed a dagger through his chest over and over and over again

To most people, he'd appear to be in perfect control of his emotions—if only his gaze wouldn't completely obliterated that frail façade of his. The way his beautiful dark eyes shimmering with a hint of blood red silently plead, beg MC to stay...

Internally, he is breaking apart because he knows what he is doing isn't right. He knows that he shouldn't trap them like a bird in a cage, and yet he can't help himself. Not in this situation. Not when it comes to MC

'No'

He—Lucifer, Avatar of Pride himself—is the last thing trapping the very person that finally made him realize what his sister had meant forever ago

'I won't let you go'

How one day, someone would stumble their way into his life, and how he'd love them so wholeheartedly and so deeply that everything else would become trivial as long as he'd get to hold them in his arms

'I can't let you go'

Someone that he'd happily throw away everything for, not even considering any alternatives if only for the shred of a chance at just one last tomorrow with them

'Please stay with us. Please stay with me'

Everything.

'I cannot lose you, MC'

Even if they'll never forgive him for it.

It’s me I’m back with Lesson 34 spoilers below. (including the hard lesson)

I always try to write these posts shortly after finishing the lesson so that it’s like… my immediate and unfiltered thoughts lol. Sometimes I change my mind about stuff after I see other people’s interpretations of things. So if you were wondering why I’m taking the time to write this at 2 am, that’s why. I totally forgot about the lesson during the day due to the whole Thanksgiving thing.

ANYWAY.

I feel like we got SO MUCH BARB in this lesson?? He was barely in it. But we had other characters talking about him and that honestly makes me happy, too. Probably because I like when they give us some perspective into his character.

BUT FIRST.

Belphie. We were actually playing the role of Lilith in his little Celestial Realm dream sequence, right? And then at the end it’s all but we’re not siblings.

Listen. I just think that Belphie has a lot of unresolved trauma surrounding Lilith and I really don’t feel like having MC play hide-and-seek with him in a dream is going to be enough to help him move past it. Enough to make him want to help MC? Maybe. But I dunno.

However, I also think I probably shouldn’t expect anything more intense than that from an otome game. They were just trying to give us SOMETHING to explain why he was cool with making a pact.

WHICH WE FINALLY DID. With Beel, Belphie, AND Levi. I get Beel & Belphie doing theirs at the same time, but I’m still a little baffled about why Levi waited so long. There probably isn’t a reason, but who knows maybe they’ll surprise us with something lol.

Ah. Lucifer.

This was my favorite part:

I love Mammon, he always just says exactly what he’s thinking (unless it’s how much he loves MC lol).

But we all knew it wasn’t going to be that easy, right? We knew Lucifer would be last. We knew that Lucifer would be the most difficult one to make a pact with. Remember what happened with him last time? Of course he doesn’t want to make a pact with us now. We’re likely going to be going through some kind of long drawn out drama that will eventually lead to Lucifer giving in and making a pact with us.

However, I found both Solomon’s and Diavolo’s reactions to this absolutely hilarious:

Can the two of you take this seriously, please?? I know you both find Lucifer highly entertaining and yeah, I'm usually laughing at him most of the time, too, but I need that pact to get back to where I'm from, thanks.

But we’re only on Lesson 34. So I think we still have plenty of time to make a pact with Lucifer, learn the truth about Nightbringer, and return to our timeline (or have the timelines merge or whatever nonsense they’re gonna do).

I’m still hoping for all that to get resolved by the end of this season lol.

Now, I found this exchange from Belphie’s Celestial Realm shenanigans especially interesting:

Assuming this is accurate to what actually happened when Lucifer was still an angel, this means that the angels knew Barbatos. They know him by name, they clearly think he’s a big deal, and they’re surprised that he’s agreed to be Diavolo’s butler.

I was always under the impression that the demons and the angels didn’t really know much about each other. But now I’m wondering if maybe Barbatos had something to do with the end of the war that happened before the Celestial War. The one that was between the Celestial Realm and the Devildom. I have no reason for thinking this other than the fact that as angels, Lucifer & Simeon clearly know him. And what else would they know him from? Though I suppose anything could have happened lol.

And then there was all of this:

What does it MEAN?! (Obviously I chose the second option for MC's dialogue, which increased Barb's intimacy.)

Barbatos my true love. Why did you give MC a real piece of paper from your grimoire? He’s always been cautious, always keeping MC at arm’s length, and now all of a sudden it’s here’s a piece of my grimoire? There is NO WAY he doesn’t have all of the build up from the OG. I can’t believe that he would actually give MC a piece of his grimoire if he had only just met them at the beginning of Nightbringer. So I’m tacking this on as additional evidence that Barb knows all.

Also can we just appreciate Lucifer in 32-A? All his brothers are completely out of it and he single-handedly motivates every one of them back into action.

It sure worked, huh? Do you think the credit card is in the freezer yet?

You guys. THE HARD LESSON.

It was everything. I LOVE the Little Ds. I LOVE them hanging out with Diavolo. I LOVE that Barbatos couldn’t accompany MC because Diavolo requested some fancy human world dish. This entire hard lesson was *chef’s kiss*

GOD I love Barb's knowing look and Dia's little frown. I love them so much it's almost painful lol.

Okay that’s all I’ve got to say about this lesson. In general, I enjoyed it. They coulda played up Belphie’s yandere tendencies a bit more. I felt like his change of heart was rather rushed, but they really can’t put him through the therapy he needs. I don’t think the lessons are long enough for that.

Obey Me! Shall We Date? Lessons 32-34 reaction

Okay these three lessons were nice, I finished the Bloody Moon arc (but didn't get any screenshoots aisbkxnd I WAS TOO EXCITED) and when Luci voted for Asmo?? His proud face?? I can't with these siblings i swear.

Anyways it seems like lately we have a lot of Lucifer being proud of his lil brothers and this is exactly the content I want. Thank you solmare.

Bcs he said he would pass the night with us, but I think all the house was wasted at the end of the night and the next night we stayed up with Levi all night?? I can't say truly. Let Asmo have sex with MC devs. He's the sin of lust goodness.

That's all from me rn. I will have to finish the lesson and see what happens, just that Diavolo and Solomon are being real shady. If it was only Solomon I would understand (appreciative) but Diavolo? Like I have incomplete spoilers of the end (?) But I honestly don't know how we get from point A to point B.

Devotional Hours Within the Bible

The Two Great Commandments (Mark 12:28-34, Mark 12:38-44)

This scribe admired the way Jesus had answered the questions that were put to Him by His enemies. Jesus always answered well. He never got confused in His replies, as often human teachers do. He never erred in His answers to men’s questions, for He knew all truth. We know only fragments of the great body of truth, and therefore frequently find ourselves entangled when we attempt to explain difficult matters or to answer questions that are put to us. But Jesus knew truth in all its relations, and those who sought to catch Him in His words could never lead Him into any inconsistency of statement.

The practical lessons from this are important. One is that Christianity has nothing to fear from enemies who try to make its teachings appear self-contradictory. Amid all the assaults of skepticism, Christianity stands ever unharmed and secure. Their hammers are shattered and worn out but the anvil of truth is unbroken. The other lesson is that we may take to Christ all our own questions, our fears, our doubts, our ignorance, our perplexity, and He will always have for us a wise and satisfactory answer.

It is the fashion in these days, in some quarters, to decry creeds. ”Little matter what we believe ,” says one, “if only we live right.” But if we do not believe right we will not be likely to live right. The duty of loving God is based upon the truth that there is only one God to be loved. If there were more gods than one, there would be little use in teaching us to love God with all our heart. “Which God?” we might ask. So the doctrine of one God is a most practical one. There is only one God, and this one God is our Lord. What a comfort it is for us to know that the God in whom we trust is the great God of the universe!

He is our God. The little word “our” links Him to us and us to Him in closest relations. If He is our God we are under obligations to obey Him, to do His will. We belong to Him. Then, if He is our God, He belongs to us, and we have a claim on Him. “The Lord is the portion of my inheritance” (Psalms 16:5). Every child of a good father knows with what pride he points to his parent and says, “That is my father!” Still greater comfort to a believer is that he is able to point to God and say, “He is my God!” All He is, is ours His love, His grace, His goodness, His truth, His mercy.

If God is our God we should love Him. He is the God to whom we owe everything, from whom we came, to whom we go with our needs, who cares for us, watches over us, provides for us, and keeps us. He is our Father with all a father’s love! We ought to love God for Himself, for what He is in His character merciful, gracious, holy, loving, good. We ought to love Him, too, for what He has done for us. Surely the commandment is reasonable .

Notice that it is LOVE which God asks. Obedience is not enough. One might obey every divine command, and not have love for Him whom he obeys. Homage is not enough. We might pay homage to God, and yet have no affection for Him. God must have our love. Nor will a little love do. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart .” Our love for God must be greater than our love for father, mother, sister, brother, husband, wife, child, or friend. It must fill not our heart only but our soul, our mind, and our strength. That is, it must draw all the powers of our life with it. It must lead us to obedience, to service, to complete consecration. If we love God supremely, He must be the Master of our life. We must be ever ready for whatever duty or service He asks of us.

Some people’s religion seems compulsory ; they do right because they must not because they want to do so. All their work has the character of unwilling service. God says, “I want you to love Me!” And if we truly love Him, we will fly at His bidding to duty or to sacrifice with eager alacrity. “But how can I learn to love God?” asks someone. “I want to love Him but I cannot compel myself to do it. I love my father, my mother, my sister; but I cannot see God, and He seems great and awesome when I think about Him. He does not appeal to my heart as my mother does. I feel awe toward Him but not affection .

It is important to know how we can learn to love God. The incarnation was God coming down near to us, that we might love Him. The glory of Sinai did not make its appeal to men’s hearts. But when Jesus went among the people, touching them with His compassion, being their friend, comforting their sorrows it was not hard for them to love Him. We must get to know God if we would learn to love Him. We should read about Him in the Bible until we know His character, His feelings toward us, what He has done for us, especially in redeeming us. Another way to learn to love God is to begin to trust Him. “How shall I learn to love God?” asked one. “Trust Him,” was the answer. “I thought I must love Him before I could trust Him.” “No begin to trust Him and you will soon learn to love Him.”

No other duty comes before this duty of love to God. “This is the first commandment.” Until we begin to love God, no other obedience is pleasing to Him. We may do a great many things we ought to do and yet if we do not love Him all of our doings amounts to nothing. A child may obey all a father’s bidding but if there is no love in his heart, what does the father care for the obedience? A man may be very good so far as his acts are concerned but if he does not love God, all his good acts count for nothing. When Jesus tested the young ruler’s love by asking him to give up all he had for His sake, the young man went away sad. He had kept all the commandments from his youth but he did not love God; at least he loved his possessions more, and gave God up while he clung to his property.

Love to our fellow men is a very important duty but it avails nothing unless love to God is behind it and in it. Two comes after one. The second commandment can come only after the first. A good many people boast of their love for men, their humanitarianism. They take the Good Samaritan as their model. They are humane, charitable, and philanthropic. But this is the whole of their religion. They do no love God, nor worship Him, nor recognize Him in any way. They put the second commandment high up but they have no first. They do not know God, do not recognize Him, and do not love Him. The things they do are very beautiful, and if they first loved God and lived all their life inspired by love for Him, their charities and humanities would be pleasing to Him, and not the smallest of them would go unrewarded. But since they do not love God there can be nothing pleasing to Him, in their love for their neighbors.

The second comes after the first. After we have begun to obey the first commandment, the second presents itself and must also be obeyed. He who loves God will also love his neighbor. The two loves are linked together, and are inseparable. John says distinctly that he who claims to love God while he hates his brother is a liar (1 John 4:20). The love of God that does not overflow in love for our brother is not true Christian love.

Jesus was pleased with the scribe’s insight. He said to him, “you are not far from the kingdom of God.” If he would only do the truth he knew he would enter into the kingdom; he was yet outside, although so near. There are a great many people who are almost but not quite, Christians. There are those who know the way of salvation but do not with their hearts accept Christ. There are those whose character is good and beautiful. They do many of Christ’s sayings. They try to keep the second commandment, and seek to be gentle, kind, loving in temper, disposition, and act. They lack only one thing but that one thing is vital. They are not far from the kingdom of God.

Then there are those who are under conviction of sin and have a deep sense of spiritual need. They become honest inquirers, like the scribe, asking what they must do. They hear the answer of Christ and still stand hesitating, indecisive, on the point of submitting yet not yielding to Him. They are not far from the kingdom of God, and yet they are not in it. At the door, with the hand on the latch is still outside, and outside is lost! There are thousands now in eternal perdition who have been almost Christians, and yet have perished forever!

Jesus then turned to the people and said some plain things to them about the scribes. “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely!”

The scribes were the official interpreters of the Scriptures. It was their duty to make plain to the people, the Word and will of God. But Jesus said they were not trustworthy leaders. They professed to be guides to the people but they were not safe guides. They were fond of wearing the garb and having the honor of saintly men. They like to have people greet them as holy men ; they took the chief seats in the synagogue and at feasts; but in their private lives they were bad men. Instead of being the defenders of widows, they used on themselves, the widow’s money which was entrusted to them. Then, to balance their embezzlement; they would make longer prayers than ever in the streets. They were the most despicable hypocrites !

The beautiful story of one of these widows and her suffering, shows who were the really godly people in those days not the scribes and Pharisees, who put on the saintly airs which covered lives of shameful baseness, hardness, and evil but the poor, who were despised and robbed. This poor widow had higher honor before God than any of the rulers. Her gifts, though too small to be counted, weighed far more in God’s sight than all the great shining coins they cast into the treasury.

Let's be real here, Diavolo kind of took MC against their will, and... well Khal Drogo was given Daenerys against her will, and while it's not exactly a great romantic story, it's nonetheless sweet to see how they grew genuinely close. Much like how MC and Diavolo grew genuinely close, and as the future Demon King, it's clear that Diavolo wants MC to be safe and he very much cherishes them.

I Really and Truly Believe That Mammon Loves MC The Most

I will die on this. Mammon cares about MC SO much and even though it's clear that the brothers, especially Lucifer, Asmo and Belphie love MC so much as we can see based on their actions (even with Lesson 16). It's Mammon who loves the MC so much and I truly believe that he is MC's true love.

I'm sorry I'm just so emotional thinking about just how much love, friendship and sincere care and kindness there is between Mammon and the MC's relationship. MC is genuinely kind to him and can take the piss out of his without being mean to him (at least depending on what you choose) and it clearly means something to Mammon. And his feelings for the MC are so endearing and true. He's genuinely happy whenever he's with the MC he would do literally anything just to make sure that they are happy and safe and that it's got me crying over here XD

I just adore Mammon and I know that he absolutely loves the MC, us XD And I absolutely love him too. And I really and truly believe that Mammon loves MC the same way Shion loves Satoshi. That's a Higurashi reference.

I'm also listening to Higurashi's soundtrack 'Omoi-You Were In The Wind of Summer' and it just fits Mammon's truest feelings for the MC SO MUCH... XD Take a listen if you like haha...

Quiet Time 2/29

What am I feeling today?

I feel rather relaxed and peaceful. I got to sleep in a bit and I plan on getting a lot of work done today. I just have one more big busy day ahead of me tomorrow and then I’m free for a week. So overall, I’m feeling pretty good😁

Women’s Midweek: What Happened to Miss Independent? (Part 1/3)

Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month we have women’s midweek at our church where all the women come together and we get a mini lesson and then get time to fellowship with each other too!

Psalms 66:1-4 NIV

“Shout for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.””

Stating that the whole entire earth bows down to Him and sing His praises! Let’s analyze though, on a scale of 1-10, where would we place ourselves, in comparison to this scripture, of how we praise Him? If you’re in the lower numbers, spend deeper, meaningful time with God. Pray to Him about it, ask for your heart to be soft and joyous!

I would say I’m around a 7 on this scale. I thank God every chance I get, whenever something good happens it’s the thought of how great God is! But I don’t feel that I always praise Him properly. That He deserves more from me, I’ll think of how to improve that.

Matthew 6:25-34

““Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

God knows what we need and He will provide it for us so long as we obey His condition in verse 33: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. I can attest that when you obey this, He really does give you all you need and sometimes more. The Lord is so generous when you put Him first. That is not to say that you’ll always get what you want though, He gives what is beneficial to you and your walk with Him. Anything you get that pulls you away from your relationship with God is not from Him.

What’s the definition of “Independence”?

Merriam-Webster gives a multiple:

not dependent, not subject to control by others

not requiring or relying on something else

not looking to others for one's opinions or for guidance in conduct

not requiring or relying on others (as for care or livelihood)

showing a desire for freedom

In the Greek, the word χωρις (choris) means by itself, separately; without, besides, apart from, independent from

Further, the word independent shows up in the NIV Bible once:

1 Corinthians 11:11

“Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.”

We’re not meant to be independent of each other, we need each other in our lives.

1) LOWER YOUR DEFENSES

What do we look to from our past that justifies our independence? I think for me, it was necessity, I had to grow up quick. I have a disabled father and he was the one who would stay at home with us while my mom was at work. Since he couldn’t do much for himself, once my brother and I reached the age where we could be helpful, that’s what we did. We did stuff for him and in turn had to do that for ourselves since he wasn’t able to. I’m not bitter at him for it, it was out of his control and my parents tried their best, but sometimes I miss having just been a kid. As I got older though, it did stem from some hurt - I was a lonely child and had a very hard time making friends so it was just easier for me to operate on my own and also avoid getting hurt.

With independence, when people approach us, we can feel attacked because at one point we were and we’re now unable to distinguish.

What are reasons we can struggle with independence?

fear of being abandoned

fear of being rejected

fear of trusting people

In all these reasons, being independent “protects” us

Practical:

Identify and write down experiences from your life that have made you feel hurt, abandoned, rejected, etc. and pray to God over it and to help you trust Him

I love to read and I always wanted to share cool things from what I read, pretty every time no one wanted to listen to me and shunned me off and that hurt, so I kept to myself when I read.

For the past five or so years, my father keep talking about how he was gonna leave. I don’t like to be abandoned, it affects me very much. With my father talking this way, I projected it on to God. I had believed He abandoned me too but I learned that I cannot compare my physical father to my spiritual one. To further this, about three months after I got baptized, he left. I took it very hard emotionally and spent a lot of time in prayer and the word for comfort. My father eventually had to come back because his health took a sharp decline and we’re the ones who care for him. I think he has realized the importance of his family now and will not try to leave again.

With rejection, that can come from a lot of places. Multiple times coming up to people to start conversations and being shunned. Or being in a group and no one acknowledges you. Or speaking and seeing that no one is paying attention. Or realizing that whoever you’re with doesn’t want to be with you. All of those can just pile and pile on and it leads to a lot of hurt.

But even with all this pain, God still loves me. God still knows what’s best for me. God’s plan is still perfect. I will inevitably still go through pain, but I know I have God by my side and there’s nothing I can’t face when he’s with me. I don’t need to be independent, I don’t have to do everything on my own. He’s here and has given me a spiritual family too.♥️

I can’t recall if we already knew he tended to run late but it was info we were given this lesson!

He also doesn’t mind Asmo wearing his clothes…which is honestly so chill of him. Could not say the same! Asmo would borrow my clothes and have the audacity to look better in it than me.

Not surprised it bothered Raphael tho, he’s super strict. Even in this lesson he refused to tell MC where Belphie was hiding (and I��m almost certain he knew where he was hiding) because it’s “the rules”.

[Repost] Abandoned - Miri

Part of this set of WIP Wednesdays

It's my goal to make sure that Miri gets interactions with all the obey me cast in some form or another. I'm also a fan of Big Bro Levi that cares for his younger sibling.

Raw, unedited writing. Spoilers for Lesson 34 of Obey Me Nightbringer and Miri almost drowning.

Miri turned on her side, coughing and sputtering, her pink curls limp and wet against her head. Her chest felt sore and her vision felt fuzzy, but she could breathe again. She wasn’t surrounded by water anymore, but her clothes were clinging to her, heavy as bricks and making all kinds of wet, squishing sounds.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Levi’s worried gaze, his own hair and clothes soaked. His lip was quivering, almost on the verge of tears.

“…Miri?” he said quietly.

She coughed again, catching her breath easier than before, and tried to smile for him.

“I’m okay, Levi,” her voice rasped, “I’m okay.”

Despite both of them still being soaked through, Levi wrapped his arms around her, awkwardly at first, but soon, she could hear the rapid beating of his heart.

“Why?” he asked, “You’re human! You can’t breathe underwater! You could have killed yourself!”

“I was worried about you.”

“Don’t go risking your life on me, Miri!” His grip tightened. “I’m pathetic and useless, I’m not worth risking your human life on!”

“Sorry, but you weren’t letting me in. So, I had to force my way in.”

“At the risk of you dying?!”

“I’ve done stupider life in my life, trust me.”

“Not stupider than this!”

“Don’t go making that bet, Levi.”

“Mi-, ugh, don’t change the subject!”

He sniffled, burying his face in her shoulder.

“Don’t go risking yourself for me like that, Miri. You have people back in the human world worried about you. Family… friends.. m-maybe even someone… you… you…you know, like-like? You don’t have to be here babysitting my brothers… me… especially me. You could be… you could be…”

If he only knew, Miri thought sadly. Her fingers tightened in his shirt, wringing out some of the water, her hands clammy and damp. She bit her lip.

“Levi,” she spoke quietly, trying to be gentle with her words, “getting home… it’s important to me, of course. But…” More water ran down her hand as she pulled tighter, “all of you are also just as important to me. Especially counting you.”

Levi shuddered.

“I mean it.” Miri said, “you… you taught me how important it is to be passionate about what you love, no matter what anyone else says or thinks. Even for things others may think of as unimportant… or worthless, at worst.”

“And,” she continued. “I’m glad you were there for me at the Fountain of Knowledge. You, and Asmo, and Mammon, too.”

“Lucifer was on the war path, how could I-?” Levi flushed, “I… I didn’t do much to protect you though. That was you and Solomon, standing up to Lucifer like that…”

“You still came though, when you could have stayed behind with anyone else…”

Levi grumbled and hid in her shoulder again. Miri brushed back his damp hair, smiling.

“You’re like a brother… no, you are a brother to me. No matter where I go in the universe, that’ll always be a fact. A universal truth. There’s no else I’d rather play RPGs with, watch tear-inducing animes with, wear matching cosplays with-”

“Matching…cosplays?”

“You know, our matching Ruri-chan and-” Miri froze, wondering if she had said too much.

“A-anyway… you’re my big brother! And I’m sorry if what me and Solomon were talking about upset you. As much as getting back is important for me, my family here is important to me too. I wouldn’t abandon you guys for no reason.”

Outside of external timey-wimey shenanigans and a chaos being wanting to fuck with her head, Miri thought bitterly.

“Family?”

“Yeah, my family. A found family, if you wanna think of it that way. I.. Well, I literally fell here and… you guys found me, and I found you, in a way.”

“Found family, like in manga…”

“And, even if we have to part ways someday, we’re still family, even if we’re apart, right?”

“Y-yeah, we’re still family. Even if we’re apart.”

The two hugged again, wet clothes squishing and slopping against each other.

“…We probably should find a change of clothes at some point.”

“Agreed. But the entire house is flooded. As is most of Devildom.”

“…Everyone is pissed, aren’t they.”

“Wet and livid, yeah.”

Levi hid his face again, grumbling apologies as Miri smiled with a sigh.
