Out of context – disjointed writing – out of chronological order snippet of the reboot of All The Fire Bright 2.0 (silm version). I'm not doing so well emotionally, so I needed to write about smol Amarëa being a cutie and protective uncle Ossë 🥺. Roughly taking place not long after Melkor fleeing Valinor and before the Darkening.

"Hey kiddo."

The words had barely left Ossë that the small ball of hyper fire that was his niece catapulted herself in his arms with a loud 'Uncle Ossë!!' blasted in his mind. With a chuckle, he hoisted her on his shoulders, adjusting his fana to prevent immediate toasting from the tiny fire Maia. Amarëa was as adorable as a child of Arien could be, yet as weirdly intense as her father — or most likely still unable to fully grasp the entire range of her nature.

Case in point, the nearly incoherent string of abstract thoughts rushing through his mind that was — for now — Amarëa's way of communication.

From it, he picked how happy she was to see him, her excitement at being promised to spend the next day visiting Tirion with Uncle Eön (this, Ossë could not relate), an undercurrent of loneliness that was the unfortunate consequences of his brother's terrible career choice, and what felt like a mix of child's imagination regarding the pretend life of her frog plush toy.

"Happy to see you too little spark."

Amarëa's eäla brightened in affection, her small hands tugging at the pale blue strands of his hair as she wordlessly babbled about how Yavanna had shown her various type of plants early that day.

He plopped on the grass where Arien sat, a small smile tugging at her lips at her daughter's actions.

Plucking the tiny Maia off his shoulders to hand her back to her mother, Ossë then gave her a questioning look.

"You got Eönwë on kid watch duties tomorrow?"

Arien chuckled, fingers combing through the wild locks of the rather uncooperative child on her lap.

"More or less. I'm going to be with Ilmarë and Nilmírëa all day, and Yavanna will be busy at the Māchananaškad with the rest of the Aratar."

Ossë made a non-committal noise, aware of the topic discussed, the strife of the Noldor. In his opinion they should care more about trying to find where had Melkor run to, there was anxiety spiking in the back of his mind, some awareness that the Vala had not simply gone back to Angband — no, Ossë knew Melkor well, and the fact Mairon had gone as well was not a good sign for them all.

Amarëa made a displeased huff when Arien tried to braid her hair tighter.

"Is Manwë aware you are using his Herald to run your errands?"

"Since our dear King found necessary to pry into my private life with invasive questions regarding my daughter, I have decided to spare him with such obvious superfluous information." Arien replied with sarcasm and Ossë cackled.

Arien had Eönwë wrapped around her little finger, and Tilion, and possibly Catalma, Oryalda, Olórin and most of the households of Yavanna and Vána. Even some of the Aulendil from what Uinen told him.

That is until Mairon fuck it up for the second time. Ossë had not really decided what to do with his brother yet, but one thing was certain, if Mairon publicly retook his place as Melkor's Lieutenant, things would grow more complicated. Ossë did not trust himself to go near Angband — for he knew without a doubt it was where Mairon currently was — not without fearing a relapse on his part at any rate, so for now he stewed in anger and swore that the minute Melkor would show any interest toward Mairon's kid he would raise hell on waters.

May I have a fic please? Of Reala realizing he might have to play with his son (my OC Arien)?

I saw your oc, Arien. He's so cute! (Also, the comic where Lance tied him up above was hysterical. 😂)

As a First-level, Reala was gifted with high intellect. So when he found out that he would be a father soon, he was already aware that being a parent was no easy task.

Still, it didn't stop Reala from being surprised at what came to him.

Once Arien started to learn how to fly, Reala learned the hard way that Arien's rambunctious side was enough to make NiGHTS' playful behavior look calm. Arien was all over the place, zooming around at full speed and almost knocking things over.

Reala decided to talk to Arien's mother, GINI, about this. Maybe she might have a suggestion on how to tame Arien's behavior.

"Why not play with Arien?" GINI suggested Reala. "Sometimes, kids would have a habit of acting out if they're bored. That may be what Arien wants; to have someone to play with."

"Play?" Reala repeated the word as though it was foreign to him. He could barely remember the last time he actually played with something. Or someone. He mainly spent most of his youth training under Wizeman's watch.

"Have you actually played before?" GINI asked, confused. "Like games or with toys?"

"I can barely remember," Reala admitted. "I mostly trained throughout my entire life. I almost had no time for games."

"Hmm…" GINI hummed in wonder. "Why not start with something simple such as a game of Tag? One person has to be 'It'. Then they have to chase the other players. When It touches one of the players, which is 'tagging' them, that player becomes It. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

"I believe so." Reala pondered a bit. Maybe he could give this a try.

"Tag, you're it!" Arien said as he touched Reala's shoulder before zooming away, giggling. "Come and catch me if you can!"

Reala let slip a chuckle as he began to fly after his son. He was honestly surprised that playing with Arien was a lot easier than he expected. In all the years of his life, Reala can't recall the last time he had been this genuinely happy.

GINI stood by and watched the father and son play with each other. A smile was plastered onto her lips. Though she knew that he was trying his best every day, in hers and Arien's eyes, Reala was the best father in the entire world.

(Not gonna lie, this fic literally made my heart melt. 🥰🥹)

Maglor was lost. He had been for centuries now, or so he thought. He had no idea what year it was. He had no idea how many times he saw Arien go up in the sky and then leave her place for Tilion to take. His feet were calloused from years of walking on sand and his vocal cords were so damaged from his incessant singing, they ached all the time. His mind hurt all the time. Thoughts about the past hunted him every day and every night.

The ones that hurt the most were about you. Oh, how you had looked so hurt and so disappointed when he told you he had taken the oath. How horrified you had looked when you saw what he had done at Alqualondë. Tears in your eyes and hatred in your mouth, your words had hurt him more than being burned by the Silmaril.

Favorite OC | Dumbest (Affectionate) OC | OC I would be best friends with:

-> [Original Story] LUKAN. L U K A N. listen sorry, Aryn knows why, we talk abt him a lot. Luk, he's just the best, he's that dumb part of me that likes to tinker with everything and gets electrocuted because why checking if the power is still on when you can solder that component right away? he's a Prince in a fantasy world, but he has ADHD with the Hyper streak at 200%, he loves to make things but most of his inventions would end up blowing up at some point, he's totally clueless about some social situations, he is helplessly in love with Cyra but goes about it in the utterly wrong way and def has a kink in getting rejected / sassed away.

He's the type to get distracted mid-battle because Would you look at this great invention in the enemy's new catapult system!! while his poor soldiers are holding on for dear life trying to defend their Prince.

he's meme material but he's the very best and has his moments.

Newest OC:

-> [Tolkien] AMARËA !!!!! i love Amarëa she's my new Maia blorbo and I love her. Bit spoilerish but I think by now everyone interested in reading All The Fire Bright have read the Reveal so... She's Arien's daughter (andmairon's). Sung into being, and just about as annoying as a child of these two can be. Jk. she's a child. Children are of course delightful :) She however has the annoying tendency to revert to her spirit form - a ball of fire when upset. children amiright...Ossë is her favourite uncle but no one is surprised. She had a child crush on Finrod before the exile of the Noldor. I like irony as you can see. Thats a difficult conversation she will have with her dad later :)

Oldest OC:

-> [SWTOR] That would be Althia I think. She was my 1st Marauder with a terrible past (like most of my OCs ngl), young babey Jedi who got kidnapped by a Sith and raised in the academy on Korriban and ended up being the Emperor's Wrath (while still being light side because take that!)

Now I miss swtor...

Meanest OC

-> [Tolkien] I don't really have mean OCs as per say, just really sassy ones but maybe the rudest would be Aramírë, one of Aulë's Maiar. She's featured in PYL as one of the few Maiar joining Ossë in trying to bring Mairon back before he does something stupid (again). She's bold and confident and doesn't take shit from wannabe-emo-dark-lord sulking away on Númenor.

-> [SWTOR] edit: Actually my meanest OC would be Marha. She was my Jedi Knight. Jedi with a complicated relation with the Republic, was Fallen at some point, ends up as the Alliance Commander against Zakuul. Aurea's Twin sister although they grew up separately when Marha and her mother fled the invasion of their native planet by Zakuul. (Altathea - a planet of the largest community of Miraluka in this region of the galaxy.) Hates the Emperor with her whole being. Mostly a neutral Jedi, have seen too much war to be unaffected and doesn't hesitate to make the tough calls. Definitely has a cold demeanor but captivity + possession + forced leadership after second captivity by your first jailor's son will do that to you.

Softest OC:

-> [SWTOR] Aurea. my Miraluka babe, part of Zakuul's Force army and Thexan's betrothed (well before Arcann rudely nuks him) She's the softest, and goes through SO MUCH emotional horrors. She's gorgeous though and a skilled Force healer. Has an unbreakable tight bond with her Scion teammate, Elhaan. Might end up in an ot3 with him and Thexan at some point.

Most Aloof/Standoffish OC | Smartest OC:

-> [Original Story] Cyra. Lukan's L.I. My autistic child <3. About the smartest person in the room at all time. She loves books more than she loves people, hates wearing shoes and loud noises, emotions are ...complicated and there are so many of them to try to guess in others. She's of dragon kin and wears some recognisable features as such. Will bite you with poisonous fangs if you try to kiss her. Princess of The Old Times(tm), has a huge memory and will weaponise it against you. Cursed. Secretly lonely.
