Hey! So I'm super new to making requests but could you maybe do a Sabo, ace, and Luffy fluff where the reader is stressing out because of work and it gets to the point of getting anxious? I've been super stressed lately and these boys are my biggest forms of comfort, I love what you write. you don't have to do this though! ^~^

Don’t worry your request was perfect! I’m so sorry this is late but I hope you haven’t been as stressed anymore!

Characters: Sabo, Portgas D. Ace, Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Warnings: Obvious stress mentions and anxiety, not proofread

Sabo

Sabo is no stranger to stress. Being the second in command of the revolutionary army has its fair share of stress.

Honestly, it’s more likely that the two of you are just going to be stressed together.

On the off chance you are and he’s not, he likes to go on walks with you outside to let you get some fresh air. He’ll either hold your hand or have a hand on your back while you’re walking.

He’s perfectly okay if you don’t want to talk about it or if you want to vent your frustration as to why you’re stressed out.

Almost always offers to help you with whatever it is. He likes to help you and if it takes any stress off your shoulders, he’s fine with it being on his own shoulders instead.

You’re going to be well taken care of when it comes to him. You won’t have to worry about dinner that night, or any of the chores around the house, he’s already done it and then some.

Portgas D. Ace

Boy does Ace want to help out. Him and Luffy are a little helpless when it comes to you and stress.

He’s not as bad as Luffy. He’s the kind of person who might run around like a chicken with its head cut off because he desperately wants to help but he doesn’t know what to do.

Does he just leave you be? Does he take you away from what’s stressing you out in the first place or is that going to make it even worse? Now he’s stressing out.

You know that meme of the cat thing where it’s got its arms out? Yeah he’s like that. (will put it below the cut because that is a horrid description–apparently it’s called the ‘persian cat room guardian’...)

Ace gives you the space that you need if you ask for it–though it’s very begrudgingly because he wants to be there for you.

He does whatever he can that he knows you enjoy to get you to feel less stressed and anxious. Do you like it when he plays with your hair? He’s on it. Love a nice hot cup of tea or hot chocolate? He’s got you, and he’s always keeping it at just the right temperature for you. You want a bath? He’s already made one and he’s ready to get in with you. He’ll wash your hair and give you a really nice scalp massage while he’s at it.

Monkey D. Luffy

As mentioned with Ace, he’s helpless. He wants to but the boy has never had a stressed bone in his body. Stress? What exactly is stress?

He’s such a go-with-the-flow kind of guy that it’s basically never been on his mind. (unless someone is hurt then that’s a different story)

Luffy would probably go to Robin to ask her for help.

He doesn’t like seeing you stressed out. But sadly, his way of helping if he didn’t go to Robin is to ask you, “Why are you even stressed? Why do you have ‘anxiety’? Whatever that is.” which is obviously the number one thing you don’t ask someone who is stressed about something. So he’s really not the best person to go to, or someone you want around you if you’re stressed. Probably ends up stressing you more.

What he does to help is taking you away from the source. He doesn’t really know what he’s doing, but he’ll bring you out to the deck with everyone and have you fish with him, Usopp, and Chopper.

He tells Sanji to make you something nice (which Sanji is pretty much already doing anyway)

Maybe if he’s feeling extra generous, he’ll help Sanji and then tell you he made it for you in hopes that it’ll make you feel better. (be grateful the cook was there because if he wasn’t, Luffy’s food would literally be inedible)

I did a big think while working on my projects today and I think the main reason for why I never got into the furry community even tho I love the concept of talking anthro animals is the artstyle. Like that classic kind of sterotypical artstyle that everyone associates when you say the words "furry art". You know the one. Yes. That one.

It just looks so uncanny and somewhat distrubing to me and I can't quite explain why?? Like it legit confuses me why my brain has such a reaction to it considering that most other people find it cute, but I guess that also explains why I never really liked the lion king or most other movies/tv shows that feature anthro animals with artstyles that lean into that direction? I look at it and it causes the same reaction within me that I also have to gore in movies.

Funnily enough I don't have that issue with furrsuits irl. I actually find them mad crazy (in a positive way), like the work that goes into engineering them in the first place, the upkeep, the work that goes into the character, the dedication to suffering inside of one of these things in poorly ventilated convention halls.

It's just the 2d that irks me somehow since i also don't seem to have the issue with 3d models in the artstyle and I honestly have no idea where it's coming from. I've just always preferred the slighty more...realistic (??) looking anthro creatures facial feature wise like the Lupins in ffxiv or the Khajiit from the elderscrolls.

Probably also doesn't help that when ever I try to draw anthro characters they always end up looking something like this

This is a species for a homebrew tabletop that I DMed for a bunch of friends. This is what furry characters look like when I make an attempt at drawing them. The way I draw anthro characters is super duper mega heavily inspired by the brautiful art dolls and room guardians by Anya Boz who is the creator of that really confused looking white persian cat meme thing which I am not going to post here because they made a post on insta a few years back about how they don't really like it being used as a meme. I've been following them for literal years (since I was 12!) and referenced their art a lot when drawing anthro characters because I just love love love the atherial mythical vibe they somehow manage to give to everything.

Oh yeah just be sure that absolutely noone mis interptest this:

THIS IS NOT ABOUT MEMBERS OF THE FURRY COMMUNITY BUT SOLELY ABOUT THE STEREOTYPICALLY ASSOCIATED ARTSTYLE AND MY HONESTLY NOT REALLY SENSE MAKING FEELINGS TOWARDS IT! MOST OF THE FURRIES I'VE INTERACTED WITH WERE REALLY NICE WITH ONE OR TWO EXCEPTIONS BUT EVERY COMMUNITY HAS A BUNCH OF BAD EGGS AND THOSE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OVER ALL COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE!

Oo could I request for spirit with a reader who has a cross necklace and has a personal guardian angel friend due to a lily evans situation where the love she had, even before death got her guardian angel to appear and all? Okay, from the moment you and Spirit became a thing, you knew you had to keep him a secret. You grew up with religious people with the standard religious values, basically everyone around you shuns demons with every inch of their being, and hell, you even have a literal guardian angel as a best friend

Your closest family member to you even gave you a cross necklace to wear as well for good energy, and you were worried it would make Spirit upset or anything similar, but to your surprise he didn't seem bothered. In fact, it was like it wasn't even there at all

He still snuggled against you basically all of the time, nuzzling against you lovingly, that distinct sound of purring being the only sound in the room. He didn't recoil at the sight of it like you worried he would, so that gave you a sense of relief

Even with all the good energy and good people around you, your angel friend came around a lot to make sure you were alright, listening to your day and how things were going and whatnot

The problem was, they came by completely unexpected, and you didn't know if one of those times they came in they'd see Spirit and accidentally hurt him. Eventually, your fears were proven true and they teleported into your room and began a greeting, completely stopping as they heard purring coming from a big lump under the blanket on your bed which you were patting down rapidly

"Huh, you never told me you had a cat, (Y/N)!"

"Oh, uhh...yeah! Her name is Princess she's uhh, a Persian."

They tilted their head, "That's pretty big for a Persian, (Y/N)..."

Suddenly, despite your physical protests against it, Spirit poked his head out of the blanket only to be met with a completely shocked angel. Immediately, he hissed at them, literally, and hid behind you as best he could, growling lowly and wrapping his arms around you as tightly as he could

Your angel friend was stunned to say the least, and was about to ask you if you wanted him gone before but stopped and stared some more as you laughed nervously and ruffled Spirit's hair

It took a lot of promising, but eventually you convinced them that Spirit meant no harm toward you, and eventually the just sat down and allowed you to explain this to them so they could even begin to try and understand what was happening

"So...your boyfriend is a-"

"Demon! Yep!"

They were extremely concerned, and tried warning you that he could be deceiving you, and they did this right in front of Spirit which he really didn't appreciate, hissing at them once again the next time the two of them met the others gaze

They never really came to fully trust Spirit considering they were an angel and he was a demon, a powerful one at that, but they tried their best to be supportive, even if they didn't find him purring whilst snuggled up in your lap nearly as precious as you did

It's like that "pspspsps" meme but instead of just you and Spirit it's them also in the background with a look of grave consern, it's actually quite funny
